Just back from 2 weeks sailing the Aegean, Adriatic and Ionian seas. We use these old civilizations as examples for today's woes. They are all burned out, earthquaked, tsunamied hulks. The greatest enemy of any civilization is when the people look to the government for the solutions to their problems, instead of themselves. The current situation is the perfect example.
