yes, I've also read that there is something like five hundred years of coal. all the climate hysterics said we'd run out of base metals, copper, zinc etc and first it was a new ice age, global warming is now climate change or something. Malthus was wrong and all the chicken littles since have been wrong. I've also read that oil is abiotic but have no idea whether that's true or not. Weather changes, sometimes it's a hard winter and a hot summer. droughts and dust bowls happen.

Climate catastrophe sales pitches are not different than the rain makers who came to prairie towns and told the folks they were sinners but he could make it rain if they paid their tithings or let him run off with the mayor's daughter. "boogety boogety boo", three days later it rains and the guy was prophet.

The nature of human beings never changes. It can't. It's part of the grand design. So, the 20% of people who shape the future will always either be supported by or hindered by the 80% who must be ideologically captured in order to storm the ramparts of the future's castles. Sometimes a passionate and eloquent orator like Ronald Regan or JFK or Julius Caesar comes along and sways people with his words and deeds, other times it's Hitler and Stalin and Mao who push enormous piles of bullshit, forcefully, onto people for so long they have no choice but to learn the hard way.

That's where we are with climatology and all the offshoots like trannies, DEI and borderless societies, the offshoots being coercion to obey the high priests of making it rain.
