It also means that the Rubicon has been crossed and this sort of purging will happen from now on whenever a new Administration takes command. I suspect we shall at best be Brazil, where every prior President and his cabinet are arrested and charged with treason or corruption. At worst, we shall devolve into Marius and Sulla, where wholesale liquidation of enemies accompanies a change of power. This is lamentable, but entirely in keeping with the deep corruption of the state and the moral collapse of the culture.

I don't believe there will be another presidential election, and I hate to say it but it may well be for the best.
