"Judge not, lest ye be judged" - Matthew 7:1

Jesus is specifically warning against condemning others. The Greek word used for judgment is krino, which can mean both “to discern” and “to condemn.” Jesus urges us to avoid condemning others and instead to practice self-reflection and humility. By teaching that we’ll be judged by the same standard we use to judge others, he encourages compassion over condemnation.

In the Oxford Union Debating Society "Anyone with two connected brain cells could understand" and "You really need to grow up" results in instant disqualification, Gary.

I don’t mind being “instantly disqualified” by the likes of you — one who refuses to admit error and a hypocrite who quotes from the bible. Why don’t you do your “discernment” by blocking or muting me. Get lost.

Losing the debate, eh my friend?

Taking your bat and ball and going home!

And I was just getting started. LOL

FO. What’s the (so-called) “debate”, Dennis? It comes down to your ridiculous reaction to me writing about the ideological divide between atheists and true believers in a creator. I don’t exchange comments with ignorant and immature hypocrites like you, Dennis. If this qualifies as “losing a debate” in your demented or naive brain, so be it.

The 78-year-old guy who is ignorant and is an immature hypocrite with a demented and naive brain ~ who went from sweeping the floors to being the President of a $600-million, 1,200-employee, Marine Construction Company. And to this day has Company Awards in his Name, annually awarded to the highest achievers in our Company.

And for many years was an award winning Instructor of Dale Carnegie Courses teaching folks on how to form rewarding relationships built on trust and respect. Increasing confidence and competence in interacting with others to gain the influence needed to reach new heights in one's personal and professional life.

Mentored dozens of kids who rose to the top. And raised two daughters to be Professors at Medical Universities.

You are not fit to be my judge, Gary. So be it.

Your ridiculous reaction — “… I am not a gullible person like you who simply believes everything someone tells you without question” — to the post of mine doesn’t reflect your successes and accolades. Individuals are a mix of stupid and intelligent. Your reaction, Dennis, was stupid; as well as ignorant and immature. Your quote from the bible was hypocritical.

You just aren't smart enough to understand, Gary.

Wooosh - right over your head

There are some very valuable teachings in the Bible. A book of fiction.

Words to live by - like the Mathew quote on not judging other folk.

But none of them prove that Jesus was a God.

Or are evidence of anything supernatural.

“You just aren't smart enough to understand…” Seems like psychological projection. Maybe the stupidity began with you, Dennis, and your ridiculous reaction.

Yep, I am a stupid son of a bitch. You are correct.

Happy now?

Anyway, better luck next time — to both of us — when we decide to exchange comments. If there is a next time.

No. I don’t believe that YOU are stupid. You’re a mix. I meant to single out your ridiculous reaction to my comment — namely the ideological divide between atheists and true believers in a divine creator with supreme power and authority and this ideological divide serving the ruling class — as “stupid”.

To be perfectly fair, there are very few “stupid” individuals, in my opinion, BECAUSE stupidity means (to me) “the incapacity to learn”.

Maybe you have learned something about yourself from this exchange of comments, Dennis. Maybe you haven’t. How can I be certain?

What a judgmental condescending asshole you are Gary.

And that's being kind.

You can be certain of that.

It's pathetic that one must deal with these insults, but unfortunately the anonymity of the web emboldens the detritus of the world to make statements anonymously that they would not have the testicular fortitude to say to your face.

And of course, having very little to contribute of their own, they resort to calling you nasty names.
