Do you get tired of commenters on these threads who propose (so-called) “spiritual solutions” to political problems such as systemic corruption?

They always attack your character, not your arguments questioning their "spiritual solutions". To question Christianity is to be labeled as Satan, or worse, here with this mob.

Will they read this article? Not a chance!

I’m guessing that there are more than a few atheist and agnostic humanists on JHK’s commenting forum, but you would know better than myself. Thanks for the link.

I think that divide et impera has been effectively implemented by the rulers as long as there have been rulers. I don’t believe that trust in elitist rulers — or trust in the (so-called) “People” or the masses, for that matter — is ever warranted. The rulers never, in my opinion, rule for the benefit of the people. And the people tolerate rulers who rule for the interests of the ruling class. What does this have to do with atheists divided against those who are true believers in a divine creator who orders the universe to conform to his (or her or its) supreme will and authority/power? Everything. All such divisions benefit the rulers.

You can't convince me of any "God's" existence because I am not a gullible person like you who simply believes everything someone tells you without question.

I referred to “atheists divided against those who are true believers in a divine creator who orders the universe to conform to his (or her or its) supreme will and authority/power”. I didn’t say that I don’t side with the atheists in this ideological divide. 🙄 Sheesh!

Learn to read with comprehension and learn to not assume before you go on the attack. You make the (so-called) “Brights” look bad.

Anyone with two connected brain cells could understand what I wrote. If you’re representative of atheists, I understand what Einstein meant when he wrote about atheists being “fanatical” and atheists being more like fanatical religionists than unlike fanatical religionists. You really need to grow up, Dennis.

"Judge not, lest ye be judged" - Matthew 7:1

Jesus is specifically warning against condemning others. The Greek word used for judgment is krino, which can mean both “to discern” and “to condemn.” Jesus urges us to avoid condemning others and instead to practice self-reflection and humility. By teaching that we’ll be judged by the same standard we use to judge others, he encourages compassion over condemnation.

In the Oxford Union Debating Society "Anyone with two connected brain cells could understand" and "You really need to grow up" results in instant disqualification, Gary.

I don’t mind being “instantly disqualified” by the likes of you — one who refuses to admit error and a hypocrite who quotes from the bible. Why don’t you do your “discernment” by blocking or muting me. Get lost.

Losing the debate, eh my friend?

Taking your bat and ball and going home!

And I was just getting started. LOL

FO. What’s the (so-called) “debate”, Dennis? It comes down to your ridiculous reaction to me writing about the ideological divide between atheists and true believers in a creator. I don’t exchange comments with ignorant and immature hypocrites like you, Dennis. If this qualifies as “losing a debate” in your demented or naive brain, so be it.
