Segregation was an incredibly benevolent gift from white Southerners to black Americans. They should kneel and pray every day that they weren't smote from this land at the end of Reconstruction. It could easily have happened.

My wife and her parents agree with me. My mother is a hopeless leftist. She has been appalled with my views since I was 10. My father is a golfing Republican. He only cares about his brokerage account.
