I thought Jim did a good job explaining in simple terms how the Palestinians misused the funds they were given to help them to settle into the Gaza territory. Choices have consequences.

Much agreed, ezinmn; the Eritreans did the very thing JHK suggested, and vacationing Russians sun themselves on Red Sea beaches at luxury resorts.
When Ethiopian dictator Haile Sallasie died, his sons went to war; one of them won himself a new country, Eritrea, and the rights to build those coastal resorts.
Although I detest Jared Kushner, his idea was the correct one- he appealed to greed, not to bloodlust, and would replace the misspent funds of corrupt UNRWA on fine dining rather than death tunnels and rocket attacks.
The Palestinians could've earned themselves a country, and did not; although Jews push the hardest of bargains as a test of one's intelligence, if you outwit them, they will back down and honor the deal. (They even do this with each other.)
The Israelis would not have allowed the Palestinians to do anything that would help themselves as they want them all dead so they can develop the seacoast.
Not sure about anything you said as truth, facetious commentary, and ancient history don't mix well.
That said, at least Palestinians would have good paying jobs along their 25-mile seashore had they chosen differently. Maybe we'd have a Palestinian Donald J. Trump real estate mogul by now as well!
Capitalism doesn't have to be a bad thing. One could say that Capitalism is the worst economic system, except for all the others.

I used to read your column avidly but now I see you are a Zionist Nazi.

They were not allowed to fish offshore without being shot so what makes you think they would have been allowed to build resorts?
