Regardless of whether you like(d) their music or not - and I did like The Byrds about 50 years ago: It’s unfortunate but true, they were (have been) both very unpleasant people in general to be around for quite some time. Arrogant, rude, spiteful and mean to the regular person.

A cautionary example for us all: Older age tends to reveal a person’s underlying spirit, attitude and character. Also, mental illness increases with age. Pretty certain both those guys had (have) mental health issues at (near) the end.

However neither one is a sympathetic figure in my book. Young in particular has stayed on well past his prime.

Let's expand your comment regarding older age, spirit, attitude and character: it's not ALL Boomers who are out there waving Soros placards and destroying Teslas. It's only a certain segment of them. Not all.

True. The only “awake” people I know fall into the Boomer category, including Howard.

Yes, the wolf we’ve chosen to feed all these years comes round full force to either bite your ass or lick your hand. Choose wisely before you’re trained.

Neil Young and the Promise of the Real put on one of the best sets I ever saw in Memphis back in 2016. It was astounding.
