Well in that regard Satan certainly failed at his "most diabolical accomplishment". It seems in the religious crowd most of the faithful are absolutely certain that Satan exists. No convincing there. Big fail on his/her/he/she/it's part. Whatever pro-noun Ol' Beelzebub is using these days.

Yes, the “religious “ crowd believes for the most part. But there’s a larger subset of God-believers that believe God is good and would never allow an evil being to tempt us humans and ultimately lead us away from Him. My God would never allow that, they say. I think they don’t understand the whole story. Just read the book of Job. At some point God will come back and at that point it’s too late. Bring a good person isn’t enough. He’s a good God and a Just God, and has laid instructions out for us clearly. It’s our choice, our free will.
