Play stupid games, win stupid prizes! California residents are now realizing that their choice to support the repressive/progressive Democratic Party is not without personal risk. Mayor Bass and the equally clueless Governor have combined their efforts to set up California for this current disaster. Every California voter must vote red as if his/her life depends on it, because it does. Continue to support Democratic simpletons and you will continue to win stupid prizes.

Of the few rules here, one is: no stupid political puns. E.g., "Mayor DumBass"

It degrades the conversation. Childish. Don't do it.

Jim, I promote you to all my friends and family. I tell them you are Hunter Thompson with all the wit and none of the drugs. I tell them that are bright hopeful light in a sea of despair and black tar darkness. You routinely condemn these mischief makers as felons and murderers, which of course they are. Do you really think a few well deserved "puns" from your loyal readers deserve such scorn from the man himself? I would hope you could let such things slide, at least a little. Why bite the hands that feed?

Also: 1. Autocorrect stole my 2nd person noun "you" from a sentence above, "...you are a bright hopeful...."

2. Having personal rules for commenters, no matter how sensible, is a form of censorship. Yes, it's your blog, and you cry if you want to. However, as you might say, it's a "bad look".

3. Are we ever allowed to criticize Israel here? Tucker let Jeffery Sachs do it for almost a whole hour? What's your policy?

Expand full comment

Requiring that commenters not use a childish pun is a form of censorship? Personally, I prefer the lack of stupid puns because often I don't know to what the pun is referring. I'd rather have the name of the individual so I know exactly to whom the writer is referring. From my part, I appreciate this "rule." It makes the comments more concise and understandable.

Just my opinion.

~ Viral Tinpot Rules For Thee But Not For Me? ~

If you must, maybe use such terms along the lines of 'The Golden Golem Of Greatness' or "JB" (that's with the quotes); mention how Kunstler sounds a bit like cluster (phonetic anagram with a dropped n?), and how Clusterfuck (Nation) is a bit of a portmanteau but doesn't 'degrade the conversation' because it's only a title and so not within the body of the conversation and in any case is designed by the owner of the blog.

Oh, and change your nickname to a 'stupid pun' so it's 'outside of the conversation'. Stuff like that.

Who was it that reverently lifted up a tress of a blonde girl's hair and said, This is what we are fighting for? Was it Herr Hess? Commander Rockwell? Or am I remembering the future again?

Expand full comment

I think you are remembering the future. I once read an anecdote that a Southern soldier, before he left for the war, saw some ladies walking down the street of Charleston, SC and remarked to his company that that is what we are fighting for.

Never voted for a Democrat...ever.

Their agenda has always seemed hairbrained and retarded.

Wish more of them would flee California millions of Conservatives still live in this state in which the government is not a reflection of anything we support or believe in.

Actually you can keep them. Please.

Fleeing "Californians" are a blight on the Northwest and places like Texas.

Their feeble attempts to disguise where they're from always fail because they have special kind of obnoxiousness they can't help reveal.

California refugees are destroying the intermountain west. Utah, Arizona, Nevada, Montana, Idaho and Wyoming now have incredibly high housing costs because of Californians bringing their wealth and driving up the bidding wars. Even Californians who have moved into my neighborhood of late, upon introduction, apologize for being from California.

I wish my state could have an immigration policy to keep Californians out.

N.AZ here. The CA refugees are like a swarm of locusts, or a metastasizing cancer…take your pick. Our rural, ranching community had its few leftists hiding in the closet for generations. Since the mass CA migration, there are enough of these people to organize into a formal group, which sponsors BLM and queer rallies on our town square. Mind you, in a county that votes 77% GOP.

They know it sickens us, so they continue. Please don’t come to AZ.

They are much, much better at politics than we are. Far more passionate and organized. They hated us and realized they were at war with us generations ago. We only realized a few years ago for the most part. Every illegal alien is a reinforcement for them. Every liberal arts degree student is a recruit.

I was born in AZ. It breaks my heart to watch what is happening to that once great state.

Cankerpuss, don't we know it, the state of the great Barry Goldwater now has TWO democrat US Senators (Gallego is a commie cartel stooge), a democrat Governor who literally ran from the press and refused to debate, and a democrat Sec. of State who wanted to indict TRUMP in AZ. We are now considered America's ground zero for election fraud and corruption. It was/is so blatantly obvious that we residents are in utter shock that the courts didn't give us a fair shake to demonstrate this.

AZ politics are likely being run by the drug cartels. We hope that TRUMP kicks their asses so bad that their influence in AZ will be drastically reduced. If I were TRUMP, I'd invade Mexico and bomb the shit out of every last cartel lab, distribution point and command post.

Got to go a lot further south for many of them cartel labs.

rd3: the leftists staged a George Floyd BLM rally on our square and recruited sheeple students from the only liberal arts college in town - a place we all loath having in our midst.

Determined that these bastards were NOT going to set fire to our historic western downtown, armed citizens came out in force and covered the entire square. Must have been 500+ citizens out there, mostly open carry and some concealed - to send a message that WE will not tolerate any bullshit - like the infernos that leftists started in other places. Some citizens even posted up from sniper positions on rooftops - Rodney King/Koreatown style! Our local police were cheerful and engaged the armed citizens in small talk - they actually seemed pleased that we were there to help protect our town. This was such a show of citizen resolve that commie CBS actually sent a crew here and it made national news - in a negative light, of course.

The story goes (via police rumors) that Antifa in Phoenix had a bus load of agitators enroute to our town, with no good intentions in mind. They got the word from one of their observers to turn around NOW, unless they wanted to return to momma in body bags. They never showed up. Is there any truth to the story? I cant confirm - but in the end...does it really matter?

Oregon Governor T Lawson McCall had a sign at the border welcoming visitors and describing all the wonders to see in Oregon. Followed by the admonishment to ". . . and then go home." We called it "Don't Californicate Oregon." In the late '60's.

Maybe those directly impacted by the fire are realizing their poor choices but California has a population of nearly 40 million people. I guarantee all those idiots directly unaffected by this fire are still 100% behind their Democratic tribe.

As in any tort case, “Contributory Negligence “ by the aggrieved victims negates their claims. By voting for the Democrats the majority of these folks put in place DEI politicians incapable of management of anything much less a major regional government like LA.

Contrast with Florida with strict Miami-Dade building codes state wide. California under mismanagement is the self made disaster. No wonder many insurance companies pulled out starting ten years ago. I feel sorry for the 50 percent who are conservative and are about to lose everything with no where to go. The elites will flee to Canada.
