Reality has become so elastic in America now that it stretches to a cosmic event horizon deep in the Twilight Zone where everything is magically transformed into its opposite. Note The New York Times report on Thursday saying that the House Oversight Committee showed “no proof” in its disclosures of the Biden Family’s international money laundering and racketeering operations.
In fact, the committee outlined a shit-ton of documentation in the form of bank records detailing exactly how gobs of money from foreign lands were washed and rinsed through a dozen shell companies and disbursed to everyone in the immediate Biden family down to the president’s grandchildren. The committee’s preliminary report was precise as to the money’s exact origins, its journey through the laundering apparatus, and the owners of the bank accounts it landed in. Thus: No evidence of wrongdoing.
Meanwhile, another whistleblower from the FBI emerged claiming that an unclassified FBI document called an FD-1023 report exists detailing the Biden Family moneygrubbing scheme. Rep James Comer (R-KY) formally requested it from FBI Director Chris Wray, who has declined to furnish it on the grounds that the doc contains info from a “confidential human source” (CHS), and the bureau can’t compromise an investigation, blah blah….

is closing in on Biden family corruption and influence peddling.It would also help to explain why Hunter Biden has been untouchable despite clear evidence of firearms felonies, money laundering and influence peddling crimes. All in plain sight for years. This CHS bullshit has been used repeatedly by the FBI and DOJ to shield Democrats and their henchmen from legal jeopardy. Stefan ‘Hamburger’ Halper, Christopher Steele and various other foreign election meddlers have been shielded by the FBI under the pretense of protecting sensitive intelligence, methods and foreign sources.
Would they dare pull this one with Hunter? Why not? The DOJ and the FBI spent years sitting on his laptop stuffed with incriminating docs and videos, obviously shielding him. The people running these agencies must be liable now for a range of crimes running from obstruction of justice to interfering in a presidential election, to acting as accomplices in the Biden Family bribery crimes. Mr. Comer’s Oversight Committee has only just started. Soon, they will be hauling in witnesses, and even if the cable news networks and the big newspapers don’t report about them, there are too many alt-news outlets that can only be stifled by a Carrington Event.
Does the Party of Chaos actually suppose they can keep pretending “Joe Biden” will run for a second term? Articles of impeachment await for bribery, at least, and perhaps treason. At this point, the case couldn’t be more clear-cut. The House is solely in-charge of the impeachment process. The hearings will be brutal. A bill of impeachment would then go to the Senate for trial, as we’ve seen twice before recently. Do you think the mainstream media can avoid covering that?
You must conclude that there is no way that “Joe Biden” will run for president again. He may resign rather than face impeachment. And then what? I’ll tell you what: Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. starts making-over the Democratic Party the way that Donald Trump transformed the Republican Party in 2016. Bobby Kennedy has the tremendous advantage of standing completely outside the matrix of corruption, lying, and Woke mental illness that the Dems have made of themselves, and the voters are going to notice, even if The New York Times doesn’t.
The people of this land are also going to notice how much damage “Joe Biden” and those running this fake president have done to our country. A federal judge in Florida temporarily stayed the lifting of Title 42 — the rule put in during the Covid-19 emergency that allowed border officials to turn away migrants on the grounds of preventing the spread of the virus. (Of course, they should be turned away for entering the US illegally, in the first place.) Do you think those tens of thousands waiting now on the Mexican side care about the legal niceties of all that? Watch them bum-rush the border starting today and keep coming for weeks on end, whatever our government says it’s doing.
Beyond that “Joe Biden” induced fiasco loom the ongoing banking collapse, the cratering on-the-ground economy, the humiliation of the failing Ukraine project, and the exposure of the vast harms done by the Covid vaccine crusade.

I don’t hold such an optimistic view. The brain cells of most Americans are so addled by drugs and brainwashed fake news, that I think most people haven’t a clue. According to the White House, the economy is going great, there is no inflation, and we are winning the war in the Ukraine.
I don’t hold that optimistic view, either. Jim has continually predicted hearings and exposure by these top officials for years, it doesn’t happen.
I’m also not in the Kennedy camp. Anyone who runs for the Democrat party is just bolstering its coffers. And Kennedy is mainstream Dem as it gets. He’s the new populist sheepdog – because Bernie’s too old. He will rale against corporations without talking about how woke gnosticism has taken over their workforces. He’ll talk about the greed but not the indoctrination. I have no use for that.

Kennedy believes carbon dioxide, aka plant food, is a dangerous gas and is destroying the planet. That alone tells me the guy is not worthy of leadership nor is he grounded in reality.

He has made some measured statements about some of these topics of late.
I (an ex-Green) am about as certain as I can be that climate change and the concept of critical resource depletion are false narratives used for control. I think Kennedy is also heading down this route.
He has also made some strong statements against globalism, WEF, etc.
And he has pointed out on live TV that the CIA killed his uncle.
Far too early to make a concrete statement one way or the other in terms of his motives and his worthiness as a pro-freedom candidate.

Kennedy is an environmentalist, but I don’t think he’s gone balls-to-wall for Climate Lunacy. He make appearances around here, talks mostly about clean water & protecting LI Sound, both worthy causes.

I beleive the table is being set for RFK. Everything is in his favor. The greatest weapon
in his arsenal will be continuing to call and label him an anti-vaxer! When millions upon millions of people begin dying from these injections (in addition to those who’ve already passed) EVERYONE WILL BECOME AN ANTI-VAXER! More people have already become anti-vax. And that was in addition to those who already existed! That’s just one enormous and tremendous asset! There is no way to hide this anymore!

During the next 6 months the bottom will fall out of the economy – does and will anyone put their trust in either Biden or Trump? Never happen! We are entering very precarious times and people will be desperate for a savior – one that can actually accomplish and implement what he says – unlike Trump & Obama who both exploited the voters to serve themselves.

The Debt Ceiling Charade
What exactly is that 30 trillion in “Debt” that We the People supposedly owe? The few billions in gold we stole from Venezuela, a few 500 ft. yachts stolen from Russian oligarchs. clear back to the Nazi gold and art we kept as spoils for victory in WWII are mere grains of salt in a figure so monumental.
The reality behind the US of A’s gigantic debt is that it is the sum total of profits from it’s position of Global Hegemon and owner of the reserve currency in the period since WW II. It can never be paid back, certainly not by the US Government. It can only be debased by dilution until it has no value by continuing the charade to its end point, or defaulted upon.
Who exactly is the owner of this debt? Countries outside of the reach of our military and financial coercion like Russia and China have been divesting themselves of US of A’s debt certificates as rapidly as possible over a period of several years and converting it to gold– not just paper gold but real bars of the stuff. The Western financial system has recycled government debt into assets on the books of banks and hedge funds where it is re-hypthocated into the mortgage on your home or loan on your car.
There is only one solution. Declare all loans denominated in US Dollars invalid. from the 30 trillion of Federal debt to the mortgage on your house. The value of the US Dollar will immediately drop to zero which is where it will eventually be once the full implication of the US of A not being able to print digital dollars to skim it’s “10%” from the wealth of the rest of the planet. Issue a new replacement currency— let’s call it the Greenback— and distribute $10,000 in actual bills to every Citizen of the Nation. $10,000 in Greenbacks for me, $10.000 in Greenbacks for Bill Gates and $10,000 for Jeff Bezos.
All hell will break loose in the US of A and the parts of the world still within the Exceptional Empire. But life will go on as it has in Argentina, commerce will return in some form, and people will create a new reality. It will not feature 800 US military bases all around the world. endless wars for profit and political dominance, and useless bureaucracies that indirectly absorb 25% of the nation’s activity.

The Elections Circus
Anybody who still thinks that the American Electoral System represents a process for expressing the Will of the People needs to undertake a search for the missing brain cell that once rubbed up against its mate when they needed to produce something that once was called a thought.
Let’s start with Number One.
Voting shall be the duty and privilege solely of documented Citizens of the Nation.
What kind of crazy country values it’s citizenship so poorly that it allows anybody with a fake driver’s license to choose its leadership?
—- Suddenly there would be no motivation for George Soros, the DNC, (or whoever is paying for it) to bus illegal migrants from the Darian Gap in Colombia to the US border and supply them with cell phone tracers and Democratic Party registration cards.

I’m trying to figure out your strategy to address the debasement of the US dollar. You have written that the US debt cannot be repaid, the dollar will go to zero, and some other currency will have to be issued.

So what do you suggest? I’m not a crypo currency fan. But I do believe in owning land, specifically land that has access to fresh water, fish, livestock, etc. I believe in barter. I believe in precious metals as well as other currencies that are not situated as poorly as the US dollar.

My solution to the financilization of Western society and it’s product—endless war— has historical precedent. It’s called Debt Jubilee. It was a regular feature in some societies. Read economist Steve Keen for his analysis of the concept. It will cause all hell to break loose, but not to the extent that global nuclear war or kicking the can down the road to eventual collapse will. And the end result, be it Jim’s Long Emergency or the breakup of the Dis-United States of A has a chance of leading to a better world.
Mrs-saj, if you are looking for investment advice there are all sorts of individuals who will sell it to you for a price. Not me! Which doesn’t prevent me from pointing out that gold is no different than other items people choose to attach symbolic value to. Like a roll of $100 US dollar bills. Right now a big brick of solid gold hidden under the bed will buy you a nice farm in a place where water runs in the creeks and the soil is deep loam. If the marauding hordes from the Big City reach your doorstep a magazine full of .222 NATO cartridges for the AR15 is far more valuable than shiny yellow metal.

I really do not identify as a Democrat, but I was one up until I voted against Hillary in 2016. Right now, I’m an independent who votes for the least worst candidate, which tends to be a populist Republican. That will probably change with time, or I may just turn my back on voting for national candidates altogether if they don’t quit stealing elections. I live in Wisconsin, and I ampissed at how dirty its voting has gotten.

Read John Funds books on election fraud to learn how truly rampant it is. There are dozens upon dozens of ways to manipulate and corrupt the results. The image they conjure up is a joke. Dead people voting (true) but not nearly as profitable as the machines themselves.
Take for instance the Motor Voter Act which also happens to be Bill Clintons very first piece of legislation he signed upon entering office! That mere fact alone should’ve set off massive alarm bells. Obama was stated as saying we need to make it “easier” for people to vote – not harder.
It stipulates no proof of citizenship required when registering to vote! So unless someone turns the person in (your voting record is public) or the election is contested (less than 1%) millions upon millions upon million of people are voting. The epic lie and rallying cry to get them TO THE POLLS is that no one has ever been prosecuted for voter fraud not that it isn’t in fact rampant. Tantamount to saying no such thing as drunk driving if no one is ever prosecuted for that either.
It’s not the Presidential election that means anything but rather the small low turnout elections (congress and senate) where they really reap the rewards of the illegal’s voting. Your school board elections as well.
No one STOLE the 2020 election – it wasn’t rigged – they didn’t steal or cheat – all juvenile terms deliberately used to degrade the truth. It was in fact the most corrupt election in the history of this country that will also continue.
The fact that the Democrats will not allow him to debate during their primaries is reason enough to support his candidacy.

When you refer to him as mainstream – who are you comparing him to – I personally don’t see it but am certainly open others opinions. On the other hand – I don’t think it’s fair to compare him to Bernie or many others because unlike the rest – he actually possesses the capability of enacting what he says. Who else has been suing the government to the extent he has?
Bernie was not an attorney but more importantly, who BUT the Kennedy’s know more about Washington AND how the game is played? WHICH IS IMPERATIVE! Precisely why Trump was eaten alive. There are no such thing as friends and or TRUST in Washington!
Bernie may’ve had good intentions and what became of it? Like all the rest – he was a brand and a gimmick. I also beleive the fame and fortune clearly affected him! They all wind up enriching themselves – Kennedy however already has fame and fortune – why would he ever put his life and his families at stake? In others words – there is NOTHING in this for him.
They did eat Trump alive. I’d still vote for him, but I would rather vote for the son of the man who kicked the mob in the shins. He *does* know how D.C. works, and he grew up in the heart of it. The DNC has already announced there’ll be no debates. I guess they’re worried Biden can’t stand on his feet much less think on his feet.
To answer your question, take a look at Kennedy’s record as an attorney who fought regulatory capture, then compare it with Obama’s record.
I fell for Obama, too, but probably should have known better, given his meager record of accomplishment in politics or in the real world.
Obama is a classic empty suit who just wants to smoke weed and play Halo. Obama is your boss’ shiftless nephew who landed a no-show job. Obama is so full of himself that he wrote a memoir when he was only 30. Obama accepted a Nobel Peace Prize for, I don’t know, hanging the toilet paper roll the right way, or something.

For starters, I consider myself a good judge of character – I pay more attention to what
a person doesn’t say, rather than what they do say. I don’t read what’s on the lines – but rather, what’s between them. I don’t listen to what they’re telling you – I always listen to what they’re NOT telling you! Truth, now ceases to exist. It’s exhausting having to behave with total skepticism and no longer being able to trust or take anyone at their word.
That being said and strictly thus far, I find RFK Jr to be a man of enormous intelligence, knowledge, honor, integrity and certainly courage. Unlike all the others he doesn’t repeat himself and is certainly NOT scripted. ‘Like Kucinch said, he cannot be bought or bullied.
I have watched him intently for the past 2-3 years and sensed he was going to run for POTUS about a year ago.
For the record I am neither Republican nor Democrat I do not vote nor ever have because I refuse to support and enable the corruption, cronyism and malfeasance. I do however follow politics religiously but merely to stay informed of the extent of the lies and subterfuge. For the first time in my life (thus far) I have hope he may be the very one and only person to actually save this Country!
Trump never had a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of hence the extent he has gone to to keep his tax records private. It was nothing more than a shell game – robbing Peter to pay Paul – bankruptcies etc. For the first time in many many many years Trump is now actually in the black because of the money he “earned” while being in office (same with the Clinton’s and Obama) which is why he too is so every desperate to get back in. It’s been reported he already amassed a billion dollars. He never drained the swamp and actually made it even worse – hence now doing everything possible to return him to the WH.
Donald Trump put together a real estate empire valued at 10 billion dollars. What have you accomplished in life? Do tell. I am breathlessly waiting…

I’ve always considered my political views liberal until they went into LaLa land and refused to participate in rational discussion.
I’m not an accountant but I do know that private business owners play a shell game with banks and some gambles pay off, some don’t. It doesn’t appear to me Biden’s finances could bear close scrutiny. I am, as are most Americans, sick of the corruption, lies, distortions, cover-ups, leaks and drama and would like someone who acts with integrity to be the President and set the example for other public servants (who act like movie stars rather than legislators). I beleive (thus far) RFK2 truly does believe most of what he asserts – name one president that hasn’t suffered from addiction – although RFK2 and his entire family certainly has – there seems to be (thus far) something very genuine and sincere about him – I think it derives from coming to terms with and educating himself – unlike all the rest he doesn’t appear to be manipulative (Clinton wrote the book on that) or completely and totally full
of shit (Obama). Two massive tell tale signs. There’s a certain honesty he conveys – as though he truly does feel our pain. If you read up on Obama and go back to his days in Chicago you’ll discover what a massive ruse he was. Same holds true for Trumps wealth!
Name one President/politician that was also not a sociopath? Again and thus far I don’t see these characteristics either!
I do however think he needs to tweak a few things – the story he tells about becoming a staunch advocate for SAFE vaccines needs to be made more concise and concentrated. Because of the misfortunate sound of his voice he’s better off doing written interviews. At times you can see he gets nervous which takes away from his message. I totally agree with everyone regarding his stance on climate change but not sure he needs to delve into transhumanism with so many other pressing issues. He needs to sell himself and drive home the point that he is truly a candidate for the people and not about enriching others. Trump can no longer say that.

Now, I believe we are witnessing a controlled demolition of America. Slow and deliberate. So much so that the average person doesn’t really notice.
You state that the brain cells of most Americans are addled by drugs and brainwashed by fake news as the reason most Americans don’t give a rat’s ass about any of this. Although I don’t disagree that many Americans are dumber than a box or rocks, I do argue that there are still many Americans, who, like me, want to do something but we don’t know what to do about it. I’m just one guy with no voice. Do I take up my guns and bum rush the State Capitol? I end up in prison with out a trial or charges like the J6 people. Contacting our representatives does no good. The voting system is corrupted and everyone knows it. I think many Americans have incorporated a state of despair and are doing the only thing they know how to do. Keep their heads down and try to live out their lives in peace, unnoticed.
What else can we do? What do we do when our Constitution is nothing more than ass fodder to the people who swore an oath to uphold and defend it from the President down to the janitors at the FBI? When the whole system is rotten but powerful, what recourse do we the people have?

My grandson has spent quite a lot of time in Montreal, and he wants to study and live there.
I keep urging him to learn French, for various reasons, not only practical.
He says that EVERYONE speaks English, and they hardly let you speak French even if you want to practice your French. This may be because French speakers cannot bear to hear mangled French. Since Quebecois are all bilingual they might just spare their own ears by speaking English.

Well, having worked there, I’m sorta inclined to agree with that statement. Most people seemed like normal Americans with no real agenda’s beyond raising their families, serving their country, and enjoying an interesting and fulfilling career.
Of course, things have changed a lot since I left in 1992. When I was working in OS (Office of Security) it was an automatic denial of security clearance if an applicant was discovered to be one of the LGBTQ people. Now it’s a diversity hiring criteria. How times have changed.
But even back in the halcyon days of the Reagan Administration and DCI Casey my 25 year-old self was shocked, as a fresh new hire, to discover that the CIA was not, like the military, a portion of the federal government where folks of conservative views were in the majority.
I had wrongly assumed it would be right-of-center because Liberals in the 1970’s hated the Agency with a purple passion and so I just assumed that mostly conservatives would be applying for employment. I was quite wrong about that and I found way more liberals sitting behind desks in Langley than conservatives. I suspect it’s far worse today and I’m so very glad I bailed-out of there 31 years ago. It was a great early life experience, but not the anti-communist engine of freedom that I had naively had thought it was when the recruiters pitched me during my senior year in college.

In the late 80’s and early 90’s I lived near him in Bedford NY and would often see him at a little bistro my friend and I would go to because they had a smoking section (!). He would often be there but it was always with another guy or two having a pow-wow about something “important”. Back then we thought it was weird he was never with his wife and we knew he had kids. We were working as high-end nannies so we thought about these things.

I’ve received phone calls from two California leftists in the past week asking me if they should buy gold. Both men told me they heard that “some banks are in trouble” and thought their crazy prepper friend out in fly-over-land might have some insight.
If these half insane rabid leftists smell blood in the water then the jig really is up. After all, these people laughed at me when I abandoned my home in SoCal for the Rustbelt.

Long story short, I told both men to take whatever money they had and buy something to enjoy because living in a large urban area with no access to clean water was untenable. After all, gold will do no one any good in an area of 20 million people without access to drinking water.
Gold is a good asset to hold in order to diversify your portfolio. When the shit really hits the fan, it will give you some cache. It has been sitting right at the $2020/oz mark the past few days, after taking a tumble last week at a high of $2050/oz.
No telling whether it will keep going even higher or fall below the $2k threshold again. I have learned that the immediate moment is always the right time to buy, because no matter what you won’t be able to get the metal in hand when you actually need it or want it.
I still like silver as an every day metal for basic transactions, and think it is highly undervalued. Gold will go further for the bigger ticket items in the future world made by hand when there in no longer a functioning economy as we currently know it.
Gold is the currency of the future and a few States have seen the writing on the wall. In Utah, Nevada, Wyoming and New Hampshire there are being used as a legal currency a form of money called Goldbacks. Goldbacks are basically small amounts of gold infused between two layers of polymer. Using vacuum technology they can infuse small amounts of gold between these polymer layers. 1/1000th, 1/200th, 1/100th, and 1/25th of an ounce of gold. Right now 1/1000th ounce Goldback is going for about $4.25. it’s a good way to buy gold if you don’t have large reserves of cash.
I believe as the fiat currency continues to slide into worthless paper that the Goldback and other similar currencies will fill the void. It’s out there.

However, humans are also very creative and ingenious and once the age of the fiat currency has met its death humans will come up with something new and better. The Goldback may be the solution. It’s a way to have a precioius metals backed currency in even small amounts for smaller transactions. Pretty cool if you ask me.

The apparent problem with gold is that it’s pegged to goverment. They have most of it. Once government is ‘gone’, then maybe gold can still be used independently… but even so, it’s still pegged to those who have more of it… like government.
Can you imagine what will happen to all of this gold when the government goes bust? I would love for the doors of Fort Knox to simply fly open, and the unwashed masses are allowed in to help themselves to the gold that is rightfully theirs.
If or when any States cede it is possible that Fort Knox’s stash will be proportionally parcelled out to each State official setups. But that’s just a guess. I’d have to look it up and see what sorts of processes might be involved in secession. It’s an interesting question.

I am a PM kind of guy, so I endorse these views. I think we are seeing a new “floor” forming above $2,000 an ounce for gold. I cannot recall a time when it has remained above $2,000 closing price for so many days. The economic drivers of this are mostly long-term mega-trends that have everything to do with reckless spending, the national debt, and the continued devaluation of our fiat currency FRN USD’s.
More and more people sense that the end is near and when this musical cakewalk ends the American people will be left without a chair to sit in.
I am convinced that gold and silver will re-assert their status as the only real money. It isn’t for no reason that every central bank in the world is a gold buyer these days. Without sound money, most commerce collapses once the fiat money collapses. Holding gold and silver is always a smart play because a total, Mad Max, apocalyptic total destruction of civilization is not the most likely scenario. The most likely thing we face is a global depression and a collapse of globalist trade and unsustainable debt loads after a century of fiat money and central bank buffoonery. If civilization is otherwise intact, folks will revert to a gold standard and silver coinage will come back into vogue as well.
Many things can be used as money or “currency” – a way of transmitting value as a wire transmits electrical current.
In a high trust Civilization, the currency itself doesn’t have to have value. The National Socialists didn’t have any gold since it all had been stolen by the victorious Allies. My favorite form of physical “money” was the Queen Charlotte Island shells the North Coast Indians used. Every bit as scarce as gold. It could only be harvested at certain times of the year in water three meters deep by using a special cedar rake. It found its way out to the Plains buffalo tribes as chest armor and was used to gamble and buy brides in the annual salmon fest at Celilo Falls on the Colombia river.

The collapse of fiat will most certainly bring with it civil unrest and since cities were not designed for low-intensity conflict, they will lose sanitation as a consequence of a panicked public.
20,000,000 people that lose access to clean water and working sewers will immediately find themselves on the front line of an all vs all war for survival. After all, you can only live for a few days without water. Gold means nothing to a person dying of thirst.
Things are different where I live as there is no shortage of water and my land is large enough that I can bury my waste. I wont see hysterical thirst dying mobs but a slow trickle of people burning through their preps.
Everyone has this fantasy that they are going to run into the forest and live off the land when it all goes down but that is just a fantasy. The elements can kill you even faster than thirst.
You can bury waste but burning the stuff is easier if you have access to a running wood heater. Depending on how squeamish you are of course. I’ve had situations on a farm in winter during bad weather when I was working in the farm shop. Traveling 200 yards to a flush toilet in cold rain was an unecessary hassle. It was easiest to poop in a five gallon bucket lined with a used plastic grocery bag. There was a fire roaring in the shop’s huge wood heater. I just tossed the poop in there and 15 minutes later it magically turned to a wad of dust with some minerals in it. Wood ashes are good for tossing into garden soil to sweeten it up a bit and add potassium and other minerals. The only other natural way to render poop harmless is with some rather messy and complicated poop composting systems.
The Keepsake Turds
You can poop in a large composting bin situated underneath, maybe even on a floor directly underneath, maybe the basement, and with some sawdust, soil, and/or leaves and similar organics sprinkly-added to it, maybe per poop, once the bin is filled, you replace it with another bin and you leave it for a year or two to compost into a smell-free compost you can then add to your garden or soil. Maybe be sure to aerate and/or mix it. That’s how our outdoor gardens do general compost too. The microflora and fauna do the job of breaking down your turds into fantastic stuff.
Just don’t put any inorganics in it, and make sure it’s not too wet or dry. If you are doing it in a small bucket, don’t use a plastic bag for example, Maybe line it with paper/paper bag, but it, alone should also be compostable, depending on how it’s managed. It can also be dumped in a larger main composting container nearby.

Again, compost shouldn’t be too dry or wet– Goldilocks-approved I guess.

Outhouses were legal in Massachusetts until fairly recently.
My family lived for two summers in a house with no inside plumbing. It was not a shack. It was a lovely old large, comfortable house with numerous bedrooms and a pump in the large ironstone kitchen sink. It was the parsonage of the Congregational Church, sited next to the church. (I guess they didn’t have their own pastor at the time.)
Anyhow, the Jaguar (“two-seater out back”) had two very nicely fashioned holes in a wide wooden board, one of them a small one for children so they would be safe when using the facilities.
In those days (I think we lived there in 1959 and 1960) a lot of houses, especially camps, still had outhouses. I assume the poop just quietly composted in the pit. I never heard of a public health emergency arising from outhouses. Our guests loved the Jaguar.
I was unable to locate the date when outhouses were made illegal in Mass., but here is a list of their status in all states:

Summers growing up were spent at many of my family’s, friends of family’s and friends’ country cabins/cottages/homes by or near lakes, sometimes with no electricity, no indoor plumbing or even road around the lakes (only accessible by boat). I try to hold a slightly more optimistic view. I try to believe that there are more good people out there than bad people. The bad people have the bull horn, they are the ones making the noise that we hear the most. However, many people have good hearts and just want to live in peace and help others. In the event that you describe, I would like to hold to the hope that good people help one another and will help the less fortunate. I may be wrong, but I can’t believe that out of 20 million people in a city that at least half of them would be willing to help others and work out solutions to the problems before they start eating their neighbor.

This one is also for Jarek. How about a city in Senegal, Africa – filled with black people who instead do much better in being both helpful and non racist?. On the you tube channel “Itchy Boots”, Noraly in the latest episode is in a crowded 3rd world ramshackle city in Senegal looking for a boat to take her and her motorcycle across a body of water to the Saloum Delta. She is literally surrounded by hundreds of young black adult males and teenagers. They are very friendly and she has no trouble finding people who speak English or French. She is directed to a boatman who gets a bunch of guys together who load her luggage and her motorcycle on the relatively small boat. Such scenes of friendly and civil behavior don’t occur in most of the USA. We are a bunch of barbarians. Right Jarek?

Of course, there will be plenty of people that would like to help – at least at first. Providing clean water to 20 million people in an area that doesn’t naturally produce that water is insurmountable. Nope, try again. Noraly goes on all these motorcycle trips solo. The only reason her video is so good is she’s got all the latest ultralight drones and cameras that can produce amazing images. She’s also very skilled at video editing and even has online courses available on just how she does it.
Your problem is you can’t believe that black people in Senegal behave a lot better and are more civilized than most people in the USA. Not only that, but there are young black males around her that can speak French and English. In my opinion, after the dollar dies and is rejected for use in international trade such giant projects like 1000 mile long canals, high speed rail, giant wind and solar energy farms etc. – will no longer be possible. Gold is but a commodity that is relatively liquid…it’s general acceptance provides for liquidity at some point, and a general recognition of value…at some level. In times of…stress, what would you rather have, a gold 1/10th round, or a 50 round box of 22lr ammo?
The box of 22lr ammunition will have great interest among people bent on survival…who you gonna sell the gold to? What will be the mechanism of transfer? Expect change from the transaction? In what form? There might be a local gold buyer, with an armed escort visible, that might give you a take it or leave it price.

You shouldn’t have to worry about them trying to stick you up, as you would have a relationship with them, probably a trade relationship as well as a friendship. E.g., I have friends who are farmers and market gardeners. I could buy food, including meat, from them. Some denomination of gold would probably buy me a hog or a side of beef.
I’ll bet that there are quite a few people around me who have some gold and silver stashed away. (I would never ask them, at present.) I think they’d be very happy to accept gold or silver for purchases of food and other necessities–and so would I. I think the Pakistani guy down at the gas station would accept silver for gas–though both he and I would prefer that no one saw this transaction. (We would pretend we had some other business we needed to talk about in private.)
I think I would find that most people would prefer not to use their PMs for purchases from me or anyone else at first, but once they saw that they could be paid in PMs, as well as buying with them, PMs would start to circulate as money in a small way.

Your friends’ top priority should be to get out of that large urban area and preferably out of California. In a SHTF scenario, their situation will be hopeless at many levels, and they won’t be able to leave. There are no preps of any kind or amount that will save their lives beyond a very short period.

I don’t see any way out of this abyss other than through revolution. That we can vote ourselves out of this morass of terminal moral decay, financial collapse, imminent war, and the piecemeal destruction of the rule of law is a canard. The corpus of the American political system, nay, American society itself, is too diseased at this point.

At the risk of losing their jobs, the Chiefs have held firm to their oaths in defiance of some city “leaders” and of course, the Sheriff has no boss.
During the George Floyd nonsense, Antifa/BLM show up at the downtown college campus, and locals show up too in order to push back. The Chief of Police is told to stand down – policing only the locals.
The next day, he resigns his $150K position and starts work the same day as a code enforcement officer for $60K per year. Who does that? A man with a conscience and incredible self-respect, that’s who.
Rural NE Florida is an incredible place to live. Our officers uphold their oaths. Many around our country have violated their oaths over and over – poisoned by leftists. They’ll be the ones rounding us up. No matter where one lives – it’s imperative to know your LEO’s.
Call or email them and ask them to lunch, you’d be surprised how receptive they are. There’s a person behind the badge – get to know them. Your life may depend on it someday soon, one way or the other.

For example:
What kind of organizational structure would be necessary to recruit individuals who are committed to resistance in its multiplicity of forms?
What type of networks of individuals would be necessary to begin to combat mass censorship?
What type of networks of individuals would be necessary to communicate a different narrative reality than what we are presently told is the truth?
What are the dangerous of such a path–is it possible to organize such networks while maintaining a sense of humility and intellectual modesty?
Is there an organizational structure that can be created in the hear and now to regenerate a system of checks and balances in ourselves as well as in our society?
Individual families, smaller cohesive communities, and church-based organizations need to be the core units that band together and fight against the woke hegemony that is trying to ruin this once great nation of ours. There needs to be a clear power structure and levels of authority, but overall, everyone should have a distinct role to play.
Never underestimate the power of a group. Together we can all rise up and destroy the machine. They cannot come after all of us.

Last night in the wee hours I finished watching the last episode (#73) of the sixth season of House of Cards which starred Kevin Spacey. I never realized what a terrific actor he is.
The show was 100% about political ambition. If even 5% of what is portrayed reflects reality I feel vindicated in my longstanding disgust with politics, politicians and political pundits.
The story and its scenes were dreamed up by Hollywood writers but struck me as entirely plausible. If you have lots of free time I recommend this series.
I also recently watched some other Netflix series that were all about politics: The Medici, The Diplomat, and even Chimp Empire. Yes, even a large troop of chimps had a political pecking order with an old alpha male named Jackson (by human observers) on top. Troops of chimps defend their territory tenaciously against other chimp troops, even killing members of their own species. They also kill and eat monkeys in their territory although fruit is their primary food. Meat seems to be an occasional special treat.
The Medici series was largely based on the novel The Prince by Machiavelli. The series prompted me to pull the novel from my book shelf and reread it. One of many key questions raised by the author was ” is it better for a Prince to be loved or feared?” Should a Prince make use of military mercenaries? I’m surprised Jarek hasn’t made mention of this short novel by Machiavelli in his frequent political musings. There’s lots of bad shit about the Church and the Popes.
Another interesting Netflix series I watched was Rough Diamond concerning orthodox Jews in the diamond business in Antwerp.

If you are speaking truthfully about yourself then you should be more of a monarchist than someone who supports republics and democracies. On his website, the Mad Monarchist lists all the reasons monarchies are superior, much more stable, and last longer than republics. Here are a few things snipped and pasted out of his list:

The essential problem with republican forms of government is that the people whose lives are devoted to obtaining power over others in government are the very last people who should be in those positions in the first place. In a monarchy, leadership roles are inherited chores and dreary duties that must be performed. Kingdoms must be cared for because they will be passed down to heirs. Since republican powers can never own a kingdom and can only rent it for a while, their primary incentive is to loot and steal what they can while the getting is good. Republics and democracies are unstable by design and on the average will fail at around 250 years. And the USA is at that point on the time line.

One example of an genetic disease that is race-specific is sickle-cell anemia.
When I was growing up, one of the neighbors was quite ill for many years with leukemia. Later, when I was much older, I saw pictures of her, and also her sister. As an adult, I could recognize that they were both very light-skinned blacks.
I sometimes think that a pretty large percentage of the people in the town where I grew up were people who had been “passing for white” for a generation or two. There were quite a few people who claimed Native American ancestry–I suspect for that reason. They were a bit dusky.
The town was–and, I hear, still is–very racist. There was a “sundowner” law, and, when I was a child, the town hanging tree, reserved for those who broke that law, was still standing.
I think the racism was intended to deflect attention from the probable race of some of the inhabitants.
I guess the actual point of my above post is that the woman who was said to have leukemia may well have had sickle-cell anemia–also probably misdiagnosed, if so.
Maybe there are also, for examples, wilfully-ignorant, pathetic or psychopathic genes in some people’s cases that help feed yet transcend their own manufactured narratives, or attempts thereof, for others.

No civilization can long survive without standards, so the current dispensation certainly cannot last. But no one can predict whether it will be followed by a return to color blindness or an evolution toward racial separation.

There are two rather longish paragraphs quoted as being from Helen of Destroy. They are complex, containing many upper case letters, numbers, brackets, etc. yet it is only the first letter of each sentence that should be upper case but is lower case. It seems H of Destroy has made a conscious decision.
Way back in my working career when email existed but texting was not yet a thing, I noticed that the phenomenon of ‘not capitalizing the first letter of a sentence’ existed almost exclusively among high ranking employees (directors, VPs, the President, high level engineers). The unspoken message in this practice was “I am so fucking busy and important that who’s got the time to depress the fucking shift key and besides, if you can’t figure out where one sentence ends and the next sentence begins maybe you should be working at Micky Dees.”

These groups are establishing themselves as the new Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), where the future world powers will be those who control not oil but food. The doc, which is seeking distribution, follows award-winning journalist Nathan Halverson and his team at the Center for Investigative Reporting as they crack open the land-grab story based on leaked documents. Halverson began writing about food grabs in 2014 after a Chinese company purchased Smithfield Foods, the world’s largest pork producer. The $4.7 billion purchase of Smithfield Foods was supported by the Chinese government, which now controls one out of four American pigs. “The Grab” is a global thriller that reveals one of the world’s biggest and least-known threats. Cowperthwaite spoke with Variety about how she got involved with the project and what she hopes TIFF audiences will take away from “The Grab,” which screens Sept. 8.
When did you start working on this doc?
In 2016.
Throughout the doc, it is clear that Halverson is worried that his phone calls are being tapped, his computer is being hacked and he is being followed. Were you also concerned about the same things while filming?
Yes. We did major diagnostics on all of our computers and our cell phones. We were advised never to have conversations in a room with a window because of surveillance possibilities.
There is a scene in “The Grab” when Halverson uncovers “the trove,” which is thousands of pages of leaked documents pertaining to governments and powerful companies’ illicit plans. The documents also contained classified cables from the U.S. State Department that detail the growing anxiety of wealthy countries over looming water and food shortages. Was that scene scary to film?
Definitely, because the people involved in the trove have their hands in so many different powerful industries. We wanted to get the movie made and out there and out from under a cloak of secrecy very quickly because once it is out there if something bad happens to us, people will know there was a smoking gun.
Was exposing the underbelly of SeaWorld easier than revealing covert land grabs by some of the world’s most powerful countries, including Saudi Arabia, which the film describes as a country with plans to support the acquisition of food and water resources around the world?
Absolutely. “Blackfish” was easier in that it was black and white. It felt very clear that what was happening in that park was wrong in every way. So, it was about unearthing the facts. It was straightforward, and this film is not that. This documentary is a complex labyrinth of a geopolitical thriller. It’s a much scarier minefield to navigate. But I think that it was necessary to do whatever we could to unearth what’s happening across the globe and to reveal who controls food in the future.
What are you hoping TIFF audiences take away from “The Grab”?
Tackling the entire world’s inner workings as a topic means that the solutions are necessarily going to be more complex. It’s not going to be simply, “Don’t go to SeaWorld.” This is about consuming differently and farming differently. We can hold governments and corporations accountable. We can drive less and walk more. If people tap into just one of those things, then this film has done some work in the world. But I honestly think it’s going to be up to individual responses.”

It’s sad that now that the PTB have created a fake Green New Deal mockery of sustainability that now people are anti-sustainability entirely. I do think we could drive less and walk more, but I don’t want it to be mandated, or forced on us. It would be nice if people were given an accurate assessment of the impact of some of the stuff we do, such as pollution, etc. It would also be great if people understood that recycling is mostly an empty gesture (it’s been exposed), etc. But also to understand that it’s not the little guy causing the most damage to the environment, it’s the bad, harmful and wasteful decisions by governments and corporations. There is a better way to do most things that don’t harm wildlife, for example, but it cost more $$ so stakeholders don’t profit as much, and our current form of governments in the west require that stakeholders squeeze every possible cent out of every single process. This is the backbone of why they want AI so bad. Get rid of human labor, it’s got too much overhead.

Would it be possible to create a national organizational network (not necessarily a political party network) surrounding such clusters with enough leverage to eventually negotiate an end to their accelerating cultural and political revolution?

I saw a Rasmussen poll yesterday that essentially asked the question of who would you vote for if the Democrat primary candidates were “Joe Biden”, RFK Jr., and Marianne Williamson. 35% of respondents said RFK Jr. and 36% said “Joe Biden”. Marianne Williamson would garnish 6% of the vote with 11% for other candidates and 12% left unsure. It seems pretty clear why the DNC doesn’t want any primary debates. Which makes it additionally amusing that “Joe Biden” says democracy itself is on the ballot.

From “egg showers” to viral TikTok videos of 20-somethings sharing their egg-freezing journeys, oocyte cryopreservation is having its big moment. The number of females in Canada seeking to preserve their eggs for non-medical purposes is on the uptick, with 1,200 egg-freezing cycles reported in 2021, compared to a mere 94 in 2013.
The numbers doubled between 2020 and 2021 alone, an unexpected pandemic surge. With social and dating lives upended, “a lot of people feel they lost three years of their reproductive life,” said Dr. Sony Sierra, president of the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society.
In Canada, the average age for first-time mothers is now 31.4. “Society is sort of telling us, dictating, especially to women, what they should do — get your education, travel, get a job, buy your house, meet a partner, and follow that path. But of course, our reproductive anatomy hasn’t caught up,” said Carolynn Dubé, executive director of the patient group, Fertility Matters Canada.
Egg freezing can alleviate pressure, Dubé adds, “that sort of societal pressure, even the pressure a woman feels for herself on her future family-building plans. This is something they can do in their early to mid-20s, even their early 30s.”
Apple and Facebook were among the first to pick up the costs of egg freezing for female staff, and other major tech companies and big banks followed suit, though corporate Canada has been less enthusiastic than corporate America to embrace employer-paid egg preservation. Still, Canadian fertility clinics are hosting virtual webinars for the curious on “all things egg freezing,” heartening fertility specialists and patient advocates who say it’s important to make young women, or young people with ovaries, aware of age-related changes to the quantity and quality of their eggs.
While it’s often pitched as a fertility insurance policy or back-up plan for when women are ready to conceive, egg freezing is expensive. There’s no guarantee of a pregnancy or live birth in the end and, rather than bolstering a woman’s reproductive freedom, a recent study found egg-freezing workplace perks can seem more pressuring than progressive, an implicit nudge that women should make work, and not babies, their central focus.
Others argue the primary reason women are electing to place their eggs in deep freeze is a lack of worthy and stable reproductive partners.
Jarek: Egg showers? Egg showers! The average woman has been encouraged to think herself better than the average man. Thus 80% or more of women are competing for 20% or less of men. Most of these women will lose, as will most the men these women should have gone to. Society loses – big time. The male genetic elite benefit the most. The female genetic elite never have to worry about competition per se, but many of them wait too long because of the anti-life capitalist propaganda of “having it all”.
Some of these heterosexual gender struggles run in cycles. Much coupling between “average Joes and Janes” leads to population growth, which leads to increased competition for resources in the offspring’s generation, which leads to reduced procreative coupling between the younger “average Joes and Janes.”
Here locally, the trend appears to be to get pregnant as soon as the female is fertile at 16 or even younger. A good strategy for those who are able to weather the storms of short term economic hardship. But the Hispanics are big on family, so they’re much more likely to get approval (and help) from other family members with no strings attached. They’re then much more likely to be grandparents by the time their upper crust white “sisters” are just getting around to becoming hovering helicopter parents for the first – and likely only – time.
