The hijinks playing out in financial markets instruct us that politics finally comes back to the soundness of our economic arrangements, no matter how far out into the asteroid belt of psychopathic ideology the nation veers. For instance, we’re about to find out how little race-and-gender hustling actually matters to the common good of this land. After their successful prank with GameStop, the subreddit vigilantes are aiming to send the price of silver to the silvery moon now, and, in the process, drive hedge-fund privateers and bankster short-sellers into insolvency, even if it wrecks the financial system.

Do you doubt that the system, led by the clueless and feckless Federal Reserve, was already beating a path to financial suicide? Two decades of trying to paper over America’s broken business model with money-from-nowhere, and failure of the authorities to regulate the games being played around that, switched off the price-discovery mechanism of markets. Does that sound abstruse? I’ll explain. Price-discovery is the main function of markets: to send correct signals as to the true price of everything, soybeans, iron ore, stocks, what-have-you, and, most importantly, the exact price of money itself, borrowed over a period of time: that is, term interest rates, meaning the cost of debt.

The price of silver (and of gold, too) have been among the most manipulated, suppressed, and perverted for many years because the rising price against paper currencies would signal the falling value of money, which would inform the people that their standard-of-living is falling — and nothing stirs up political anger like that.  So, the regulatory authorities looked the other way when their cronies in big banks such as J.P. Morgan played games to suppress precious metal prices with a revolving short-selling scheme that regularly knocked down the price to discourage buyers from investing in precious metals.

It’s been fifty years since precious metals enjoyed any official peg with the US dollar, but for five thousand years previously gold and silver were money itself and paper currencies became mere representations of that money. That relationship ended in 1971 when President Nixon closed the “window” that allowed foreign countries to redeem gold in exchange for dollars they accumulated from the commercial trade of goods — and, our dollar being the world’s supreme reserve currency, the rest of the world’s currencies followed.

Despite all efforts since then by banking authorities to denigrate the value and the role of gold and silver in financial affairs, the “barbarous relics” retained a persistent influence in men’s minds because of their intrinsic qualities. These were: the vested energy they represented from mining and refining, their physical durability, portability, and divisibility, their freedom from counterparty obligations, and, especially in modern times, their vital usefulness in electronics and other industrial applications. The latter quality is greatly reinforced by the powerful wish to transition from a fossil fuel economy to an alt-energy economy of solar cells and wind turbines — a wish that probably won’t come true.

And so, as promised by the subreddit vigilantes, the silver price was up around $3 or ten percent in overnight trading going into the week’s Monday open. It looks like they mean bidness. And that could mean many things. The most obvious is a very conscious effort to punish the high hats of Wall Street for years of lawless game-playing that made them ultra-rich and left everybody else in the country impoverished. Some of the vigilantes frankly express the desire to wreck the degenerate banking system altogether, a great purge of evil to restore something like God-fearing accountability, moving toward a fresh and honest re-start of markets and banking. I’m not convinced that we would get any such orderly re-start in the sense that global banking could be reconstructed along pre-2020 lines.

Rather, wrecking the banks in a daisy-chain of shattered obligations would be an express ticket to the Palookaville of neo-medievalism I’ve been warning about, and probably in a sharp, disorderly, violent, and deadly episode of losing everything that has made us civilized. In any case, the country has already prepped itself for some kind of spectacular failure with all the social mind-fuckery of the past four years that eventuated with the empty shell of Joe Biden in the White House, and millions of his supporters swept into an epic hysteria of manufactured moral outrage over pseudo-realities initiated by academic racketeers and then weaponized by our politicians. But the game is on, whether you like it or not. This may be a last opportunity to get your minds right before you lose your country and your future.

    Greetings,

At this point in time they do not dare hand out any more stimulus to the peasents because that money will be strapped on like a suicide vest and hurled at Wall St. so as to cause as much harm as possible.

These guys have had enough and know exactly what they are doing and it isn’t to profit but to harm Wall St. as much as possible and given that Wall St. backed Xiden, you can expect pushback from the White House which will do nothing but create even more Kamakazi attacks against the system.

The low IQ rioters were only able to do 2 billion in damage in their 100 days of unrest. The Autists on reddit did 70 billion in damage in a single week.

    • thirdcoastlegend February 1, 2021 at 10:04 am #

The optics and effects of no new stimmy will go over like a lead balloon with normies.

I’ve heard multiple normies crow about, “Unca Joe gon’ send us $1400 in stimmy! We’s rich!” when I’ve been out running errands the past few weeks.

      • NickelthroweR February 1, 2021 at 10:39 am #

Look at the optics. The new administration has been obsessed with trannies by making sure they are in the military and running the federal health department. An administration made up of woke Karens will do nothing but flail about some -ism or another while the suicide attacks against their base of power continue.

A bunch of out-of-touch boomers in Congress hiding behind the National Guard thinking that the Painted-Bison-People are out to get them are about to be digitally overrun. These dullards have no understanding of what is happening and while they talk of investigations and punishments, people are rapidly moving their wealth out of the system.

I say, good luck with financing all those gender reassignments for 8-year-olds with zero tax revenue Karen. Good luck.

        • Blackbird February 1, 2021 at 11:24 am #

I suspect that “some-ism” will be “racism”, “sexism”, “white nationalism” – most likely the whole threesome. The Establishment will do a lot more than flail. Attacks against the base of power will not go unpunished.

Please, let’s not legitimize the democrat’s coup by calling it an ‘administration.’ Rather, let’s call it what it is…

          The Biden Regime.

          • Wizard of the Saddle February 1, 2021 at 2:05 pm #

That’s been my practice since January 20, 2021 at 12:00 noon. An unlawful usurper of power can only lead a regime, not an administration.

          • Oregonian February 1, 2021 at 2:41 pm #

I like the word ‘junta’ for this situation.

          • tresho February 1, 2021 at 3:04 pm #

?? pinyin: Bài d?ng is the current modern Mandarin Chinese rendition of Joe Biden’s name. The Mandarin pronunciation just happens to sound almost exactly like the American English pronunciation of “Buy dung?” with the high tone on that last word. Whoever the Chinese authority was that chose that name must have had a sense of humor.
The ” ‘Buy dung?’ regime” has a nice sound to it, and accurate on more than one level.

          • tresho February 1, 2021 at 3:06 pm #

Maybe this link to Mandarin will work better, maybe not: https://translate.google.com/?sl=auto&tl=zh-TW&text=Biden&op=translate

“Please, let’s not legitimize the democrat’s coup by calling it an ‘administration.’ ”

I’m puzzled that it’s perceived as a “democrat’s coup” … all 50 states certified their election results (49 by the safe-harbor date). A majority of these states (including a majority of the critical swing states) are run by Republicans mostly, and in some cases, such as Georgia and Arizona, exclusively.

I’m very sceptical that the election was fraudulent, but if it were, it seems to me it’s less a Democrat coup, and more an anti-Trump one. And both the 2016 and 2020 elections were virtually a tie, showing how deeply divided the electorate is.

Whatever – Biden-Harris have been sworn in, and it is indeed an administration. The rule of law does apply, even if it is a bitter pill.

The establishment hacks are not necessarily dullards. They may simply be seizing an opportunity to peddle a conspiracy theory in order to advance their authoritarian ambition.

          • tresho February 1, 2021 at 3:07 pm #

“Authoritarian ambitions” always have a reach that greatly exceeds their grasp. That is seldom obvious at their beginnings.

Don’t underestimate the trans ‘folx’ – they’ve managed to infiltrate and ruin the ACLU, the Green Party, LGB movement, Antifa and BLM (the latter 2 were already astroturfed garbage by then though). these people are relentless and driven by a level of narcissism and hate I’ve never experienced before. Obviously, they know how to take down any opposition…

The trans-folx will be wonderful consumers for the pharmaceutical complex with a fine lifetime consumption of antidepressants and hormones, as well as other medical bills for
            back and forth conversions.

Likewise their personal effects will need repeated adaptation to the new gender thereby necessitating new consumption.

In addition they are not expected to live to, or long after, retirement and are are too busy with themselves to become a problem for the state, in short: model citizens.

“Two decades [, actually 12+ decades] of trying to paper over America’s [or rather, the World’s] broken business model with money-from-nowhere, ”

As soon as humans can fill their cars with fuel and the grid is intact, exchanging that fuel and power with whatever printed paper – the game is on (and we’re lucky it is still)….

The problem starts when there will be no more fuel, no matter how much money is printed, and the grid goes down where one lives – god forbid.

          • SpeedyBB February 3, 2021 at 10:41 am #

Americans – even well-traveled ones – are blissfully unaware in general of how much of the world deals with brownouts on practically a daily basis.

Air-conditioning on demand, hot water on demand, ATMs that don’t run dry because it’s payday at the garment factory down the road, fresh produce on a regular basis – so many of the taken-for-granted aspects of life are quite chancy in much of the world.

Dmitry Orlov points out the difference very graphically. The collapse of the USSR did not have that much of an effect on much of the population as they didn’t have that far to fall: not bound to their cars, supermarkets, malls, growing much of their own food, living modestly without debt (not common in socialist paradises). Thus they made the adjustment, not without pain, but they battled their way through.

            The USA? A different story.

    • shotho February 1, 2021 at 10:05 am #

at this point, they dare not withhold more stimulus from the ‘people’ who, generally, do not understand anything about markets. However, they do understand hundreds of dollars added to their bank accounts which have been promised by silly politicians.

      • Blackbird February 1, 2021 at 1:04 pm #

If Uncle Sam doesn’t stimulate the peasants, what will they do? Suck their thumb? Poop their pants? Engage in crowd-sourced, grass-root, uprisings targeting vulnerable nodes in the System?

With JoMama now secure in the seat of power there is no advantage in pandering to “the people”.

    • DrTomSchmidt February 1, 2021 at 10:31 am #

“The low IQ rioters were only able to do 2 billion in damage in their 100 days of unrest. The Autists on reddit did 70 billion in damage in a single week.”

It’s a great quote, but does it reflect reality? Businesses burnt down meant actual assets destroyed. Businesses looted is both economic and psychological damage: how many business owners will just give up?

By contrast, a short squeeze transfers money from some people to others financially without destroying anything. The 70 billion in damage to the hedge funds is made up by the gain earned by redditors; the destruction wrought by AntiFA is just dead weight loss.

This is going to make shorts disappear, which means the next crash will have no circuit breakers. It’s going to be epic.

      • BackRowHeckler February 1, 2021 at 10:38 am #

Don’t worry about businesses looted and burned last year; BLM leaders claim it’s just property, and insurance will cover any loss.

No big deal. We’re talking about George Floyd’s life here — St George.

        Brh

      • NickelthroweR February 1, 2021 at 10:48 am #

You only need look at the response to see who did the most damage. The riots were allowed to continue because the optics were worth the damage. Not so last week as we saw the EXACT playbook used against Trump used against Wallstreetbets. They were called NAZI’s, Domestic Terrorists, White Supremacists. They were disenfranchised their “votes” when the exchanges shut down (by order of the White House) and they were only permitted to sell their position but not buy.

If these guys do to Silver what they did to GameStop then JP Morgan is finished. Everyone knows this and it is game on.

        • Night Owl February 1, 2021 at 11:09 am #

RE: the riots — or because some of the controlling class in the service of the color revolution wanted those areas trashed. It is very interesting to note that the businesses destroyed were small, while the big players remained largely untouched.

Same pattern with the CoronaHoax, too. Big box stores have not really been hurt at all, nor have the companies that advise them (the latter is something I know for certain). And all of this has no negative impact on the digital transition.

          • Beryl of Oyl February 1, 2021 at 11:33 am #

I notice the locally owned restaurants have been hit hard, the ones that made a big deal about food from local farms.

I also notice the JoeBama administration has hired back a Big Food guy to the USDA.

          • thirdcoastlegend February 1, 2021 at 11:37 am #

Big boxes are money printers for the tax man,
            globalists, and China.

            Small biz are not.

            Here endeth the lesson.

          • Blackbird February 1, 2021 at 12:08 pm #

According to a study by Catherine Austin Fitts (brilliant woman), the areas hit by last summer’s riots were not random. Of the 37 cities with Fed branches, 34 hosted “peaceful protests” during the summer. With apparently most damage (errr, festivity…) concentrated near these Fed offices. Fitts claims that these destroyed businesses are part of a real estate acquisition plan called “opportunity zone investments”.

Looks like BLM deserves a Nobel Peace Prize for sure!

          • Night Owl February 1, 2021 at 2:00 pm #

Small businesses are being surgically removed from existence by the COVID19 hoax and the Antifa/BLM scourge.

It is being done with maximum precision.

        • Wizard of the Saddle February 1, 2021 at 2:09 pm #

I hope J.P. Morgan collapses. Their namesake saddled us with the Federal Reserve cartel and the banksters have been robbing everyone in this country since 1914.

      • MaryV February 1, 2021 at 11:06 am #

You make a great point – how can the Antifa/BLM riot damage be measured?

BTW, they’re still at it… now they occupied a hotel in Olympia.

THankfully, they’ve been arrested. As usual, they claim they ‘meant no harm’ as they entered the lobby with knives and bats, dressed in black, wearing masks… yeah I’m sure that didn’t panic anyone…

        https://www.kiro7.com/news/local/homeless-advocates-with-group-called-oly-housing-now-occupy-olympia-hotel-seeking-pandemic-housing/VSRUF3IMCVFWNFBEMC2NJ6V3G4/

I do think it’s valiant to try to get justice for what’s happened to people to make us so impoverished. But this ain’t the way.

      • Ron Anselmo February 1, 2021 at 11:18 am #

Doc – Shorts cannot “disappear”, otherwise there would be no market. As you well know, a market is a buyer and a seller – a long and a short. No buyers, no market. No sellers, no market.

  2. Ishabaka February 1, 2021 at 9:59 am #

Not a survivalist or prepper; but at times their call to store precious metals, food, and ammunition seems attractive.

    • Ron Anselmo February 1, 2021 at 10:18 am #

Yes, it’s a good idea to be long lead.

    • MaryV February 1, 2021 at 11:06 am #

I have a LOT of food stored up. I think it’s wise at this point.

    • Blackbird February 1, 2021 at 12:11 pm #

“Not a survivalist or prepper”; well, not too late to change that!

    • Wizard of the Saddle February 1, 2021 at 2:11 pm #

If our overly complex economy collapses you’ll wish you had prepped when life resets to about an 1890 standard of living. It’s never too late to start. Some preps are better than no preps.

  3. shotho February 1, 2021 at 10:01 am #

I really can’t understand how the money-changers finally getting their comeuppance would cause us to lose everything civilized. It just might be the first step in rebuilding a banking system based on the rule of law and ethics that allows investors and producers to know the real price of commodities, especially interest rates. Upon a sound financial system, civilization can be built or in our case, rebuilt.

    • JohnAZ February 1, 2021 at 10:14 am #

If it goes down, will you invest in anything connected to the US government or US banks? I wouldn’t. I am already investigating ways to get out of the US markets and banks.

      This country is toxic.

      • DrTomSchmidt February 1, 2021 at 10:33 am #

Yes, toxic. We can’t handle the truth, and I think that truth is the Long Emergency.

        • oroyrodajes February 1, 2021 at 1:47 pm #

Our system is also much more delicate than most realize. If the banks go down, I think the results would be awful.

The preppers have the right idea. It’s just hard for us city-dwellers to go that route. We can save money, especially in precious metals form, as well as food and ammo as mentioned above and below. Also, CA$H, perhaps 3 – 6 months worth if possible.

    • DrTomSchmidt February 1, 2021 at 10:33 am #

Only the shorts got their comeuppance. The people who get infinite dollars pumped in were already destroying the shorts, and those people have actually been further empowered by this squeeze.

Soon there will be no one left to buy.

    • MaryV February 1, 2021 at 11:07 am #

Well, typically when any structure is destroyed, there is chaos until a new one is built.

    • draupnir February 1, 2021 at 12:12 pm #

We have to have an actual rule of law first. Laws are now only on the books to suppress the commonality. They are selectively enforced and have been for some time. Iceland jailed their bankers.

      • tresho February 1, 2021 at 3:12 pm #

“Laws are now only on the books to suppress the commonality.” Laws don’t matter any more. Only the interests of the oligarchy matters now.

        • MaryV February 1, 2021 at 8:35 pm #

I’ve come to the same conclusion.

    • Wizard of the Saddle February 1, 2021 at 2:13 pm #

I read opinions on opinions on what is going on.

The bottom line is that US and international money interests are running out of ways to pay their debts. This is going to lead to bankruptcy, not just for the banks and government, but for all of us.

      401k. = 0

      Pension = 0

      Bank acct. = 0

      Insurance = 0

      Bonds = 0

How does your financial situation look with these entries.

Oh yeah, and you will still be paying more taxes to finance BS degrees and illegal immigrants.

      What a country.

      • Ron Anselmo February 1, 2021 at 10:36 am #

        Yep John, that’s the plan.

      • Beryl of Oyl February 1, 2021 at 10:41 am #

Those illegal immigrants. They always used to tell us we should be sympathetic to their “plight”, because they were just sending their paycheck home to their families.

That was the problem, wasn’t it?
Donald Trump was the only candidate who took on this issue.
Don’t Americans bring their paychecks home to their families?

Of course, if you objected in any way to this situation, you were a racist. Mexico was a country, not a race, last time I looked.

I hear they are massing at the border right now, 65,000 strong.

Another instance — like with BLM/Antifa rioters — mask and social distancing mandates will not be enforced.

Uh, remittances are a terrible drain on the US economy.

Remittance taxes are a huge missed opportunity to ease the tax burden on US citizens.

Too bad we don’t live in that time line.

        • MaryV February 1, 2021 at 11:10 am #

Everything is racist to Democrats. Critical race theory demands it. And that’s one of their many new religions.

          • Wizard of the Saddle February 1, 2021 at 7:20 pm #

            @MaryV

Indeed. And when *everything* is “racist,” *nothing* is racist. The word has lost any meaning it may have ever had. The definition of “racism” mutates faster than the Corona virus.

While I harbor no I ate animus towards persons of other races, I deeply resent this overt, vicious, and malign anti-white campaign being waged by the Marxists in our society. This campaign certainly meets anyone’s old school definition of racially motivated hate – at least as it was more commonly understood in the mid-20th Century.

The problem is that the cry of “racism” has been used effectively for decades now to advance the political agenda of the Left. As such, abuse of this terminology has intensified over time. Like anything else, if you reward the practitioners of “hate Whitey” racism enough times, you’ll simply get more and more of it and it will become more virulent and intense.

I sincerely believe we have now reached the point where cadres of genocidally minded “People of Color” are investing all of their time, money, and energy into pushing forward an intensely anti-white hate campaign whose ultimate goal is to subjugate and exterminate whites wherever they are found. Some have not even been very shy about saying as much. It chills the blood. The mindset of these people is no different than that of Heinrich Himmler and Reinhard Heydrich. They seek a “Final Solution” to the “White People Problem.”

This has become abundantly clear in 2020 and 2021. No honest person can deny this is the goal any longer.

This is what drives RECORD gun and ammo sales in America today. We refuse to be slaughtered like lambs by these maniacs.

@Wizard of the Saddle, this erudite black scholar agrees with you: https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2020/07/dehumanizing-condescension-white-fragility/614146/

I love reading the scathing reviews of “White Fragility” (which agenda is sadly being instituted across the country by moronic college admins everywhere).

Yes we are supposed to hate ourselves for being white. They demand it. And yes, racism means nothing if we are born ‘white supremacists’ and can do nothing to change that. They shoot themselves in the foot. Nonetheless, we have to have this bullshit foisted on us.

        • MaryV February 1, 2021 at 11:11 am #

Also, their hypocrisy is quite impressive: Nary a peep was said when Obama bragged about being the ‘deporter in chief’ and put the babies in cages (I have the pics) but when Trump came into office, they were aghast – AGHAST – at racist Trump for putting kids in cages…. these people can’t be taken seriously even a little bit.

Lol are we still playing politics instead of addressing the real problems of the country, as Mark Twain once said there isn’t a nickle worth of difference between the two parties and of course he was right, but people still play the ole party thing.!!!

As it was done in other countries so it will be done to us.

First example Argentina nationalized their citizens 401k’s and borrowed heavily from them with some nominal promise of small percentage Return on the outright theft.

        https://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/22/business/worldbusiness/22argentina.html

        https://www.reuters.com/article/argentina-pensions/update-6-argentina-to-seize-pension-funds-markets-tank-idUSN2128838220081021

During the 2008 debacle Obama quietly floated the Idea of doing the same.

        https://www.fool.com/retirement/general/2013/04/21/will-obama-really-confiscate-your-retirement-savin.aspx

Since obama ruled by poll numbers he changed his mind till his last term to mess with peoples retirement accounts and change all the rules.

Democrats goals are always to steal from some and give just a little to others while keeping the prizes for their friends and family.
As was seen with Solyndra the last drops of money stolen are always some how funneled back into the hands of the Democrats running for office.

A short squeeze on silver is a potentially a big deal. I’ve read recently that Gamestop was over sold in option contracts at a ratio of about 1.4, thus creating the squeeze. By comparison, silver bullion is over sold upwards of 180 times when comparing paper obligations to actual physical possession.

Bullion shenanigans have been going on for a long time. Now in the age of “big data” if the truth becomes fully exposed it will turn the world upside down.

So one might expect a total blackout before that can happen. Is this the week the lights (and internet) go off?

    • shotho February 1, 2021 at 10:14 am #

Yes, the prices of precious metals has been so egregiously manipulated by the moneychangers for so long, that pressure has built to the point that any change toward true value would be explosive and cause multiple times more damage than the manipulation of worthless companies. It would expose the real value of the dollar upon which our silly political system stands.

    • MrMangoOnMyShoulder February 1, 2021 at 10:16 am #

That’s a good point. And a scary thought. Might just be some stupid thing like a true challenge to the Grand Marketeers that would prompt the kill switch.

    • Oregonian February 1, 2021 at 3:45 pm #

I think that you’re partially right, in that the silver ETFs are used to play a lot of games in the paper silver market, and the amount of paper silver contracts is many, many multiples of the physical quantity. However, this is not a problem for the banking cartel, I believe; they will simply change the rules and cash out the players with funny money if it comes down to a crunch.

    • Wizard of the Saddle February 1, 2021 at 7:25 pm #

The silver squeeze hit a speed bump in the road today. I strongly suspect a great deal of sabotage of this campaign is underway by the usual bankster suspects who perpetually manipulate and suppress the market prices of PM’s.

J.P. Morgan is far more viscous than any hedge fund. Just TRY to pump up silver and gold prices and watch what they do.

The silver play is a distraction from Game Stop. Citadel, the company with the naked shorts, has a huge stake in $SLV. The conspiracy is that Citadel is pushing the silver narrative to drive up the price of SLV and use the profit to cover their shorts in GME.

    Just the messenger.

Not being very well versed in econometrics, one thing that puzzles me is the moratorium states have imposed on landlords & renters, stating basically rent does not have to be paid, and no evictions can take place. Do property owners still have to make mortgage payments to the banks on these assets (which are no longer assets)? Also, apt buildings take a whole lot of maintenance to remain habitable; hows that getting paid for now? Will the places just fall apart? Will owners just walk away and let the banks take over? The whole scheme — even tho well intentioned — could end in disaster.

I haven’t followed this topic very closely, but I thought the TPTB play was to keep kicking the can down the road on rent and mortgage forbearance.

Do you admit White Nationalists were right about everything – because we predicted this was coming? And if you have, have you begun to change your view of the Civil War and World War Two? Because to change one essential fact, is to change everything. You can’t remove a pillar without replacing it – lest the building of the mind crumble and fall.

We’re far too individualistic – still dreaming of the big score that will put us above everyone else. Still dreaming of joining of the Elite rather than supplanting them. Still identifying with them rather than scorning and loathing them.

During the troubles in Ireland, one English landowner was found murdered, with a big clump of red hair in hand. So with that as the only clue, the police set out looking for a red head with a big clump of hair missing. Every red haired man for fifty square miles had a big clump of hair missing. That’s the attitude it will take. That’s power. That’s philia or brotherly love. Only such a Band of Brothers can endure and ultimately regain their freedom.

“Do property owners still have to make mortgage payments to the banks on these assets (which are no longer assets)?”

Yes, they do in most cases. I’m also guessing many (larger) landlords are receiving state help with that problem, in the form of PPP or direct subsidy. As I’m not a landlord, I’m wildly specualting here. But there’s only so long one can go without income before needing a hand. Unless you’re a bank.

“Will owners just walk away and let the banks take over?”

Yes. I believe that is the plan. Massive property takeover is being carried out in slow motion right now…half of the middle class will soon see their once-sturdy floor crumble and they will fall into the UBI ranks with the rest of the masses before long.

People are getting all bent out of shape over the CDC ordering masks on public transportation under the JoeBama administration.
They don’t have any authority, and BTW neither does whoever is pulling Joe’s strings.

However, as near as I can tell, it was the Trump administration that gat the CDC to basically take over rental property. It started with the federally subsidized units, which makes a tiny amount of sense, but it spread to all rental property.

The administration did try to walk it back somewhat after landlords started to sue. The MSM framed it as President Trump making harmful changes to the law or decree or whatever it was.

      • thirdcoastlegend February 1, 2021 at 10:59 am #

People are getting bent out of shape over the CDC’s new double mask mandate, which they can do under the State of Emergency Trump foolishly implemented.

        • Beryl of Oyl February 1, 2021 at 11:20 am #

Fauci claimed yesterday that two masks aren’t better after all.
Why he wasn’t fired the minute it became clear what he was, I’ll never know.

President Trump’s State of Emergency didn’t actually do that. He checked, found he didn’t have the authority, so he wrote up guidelines for the states to do that kind of voodoo nonsense.

Which is why my fellow Trump supporters tell me to blame the states for these egregious restrictions, which is inaccurate.

If so many of his supporters hadn’t adopted a cult-like stance toward him, maybe we could have put a halt to the horribly wrong turn he took when this virus emerged.

But no, those of us who objected were censored and shouted down.

He trashed his whole presidency. It didn’t have to be.
BTW, there were three EOs he signed. If he hadn’t signed the last two, there would have been no basis for the mail-in ballots. That made cheating so much easier.

He should have let Fauci and the whole crew go when he brought in Dr. Atlas.
Yuge mistake not to, with terrible consequences.

You should hear the excuses people make for his not doing that:
“He’d be damned if he did and damned if he didn’t”.

Wouldn’t logic dictate that if you were going to be “damned” anyway, you’d choose the path that didn’t support fraud and destruction?

          • MaryV February 1, 2021 at 11:28 am #

            Hear, hear! So well said.

When Trump supporters fall into the same IDPol trap that Democrats do, it doesn’t bode well for anyone.

If Trump was so anti-deep state Dems, why didn’t he expose the COVID19 plandemic hoax? Instead, he just took little passive-aggressive jabs at it, such as when he supposedly had it, he denigrated how sick he was. My theory on that is that the mainstream media just announced he had it, then he had to play along.

It seemed obvious to me that he was annoyed by the whole thing.

And yes, keeping Fauci the pharmafioso and kicking out Dr. Atlas who knew the score, was a horrible move. Unless Trump was controlled opposition the entire time. Which is another possibility. Or, if he were compromised or threatened.

He had a segment detailing, with copies of NIH emails as evidence, that in 2014, 2015 and 2016 Obama had placed a hold on NIH funding regarding viral human to human respiratory research between NIH and Wuhan, China’s Viral Research Center because it was discovered that the Center had dangerous safety violations.

Anthony Fauci ignored the financial holds and financing for those years continued anyhow.

No other news outlet I am aware of is covering this. Anthony Fauci should be brought in to testify under oath, but considering the Democrats control the Congressional committees, I doubt the American people will ever find out the truth about U.S. duplicity regarding the Covid-19 pandemic that is destroying the world on every imaginable level.

Think about it. These payments are being suspended not forgiven. It is an accumulated debt payment, how the heck are these folks ever going to pay twelve months of rents, etc, is one fell swoop. This is just postponing bankruptcy.

Remember Michael Burris, played by Christian Bale in “The Big Short”. He made a fortune for his hedge fund by shorting the CDOs. He just looked up when all those ARMs were coming due, and knew most would never be paid.

Sounds very similar to what is happening right now as debts are accumulating again that will never be paid.

2008 crash was the result of the last debacle. This one, between the pandemic shutdown , student debt, mortgage debt, credit card debt, and the idiot Deep State debt should be a lulu.

JohnAZ – “how the heck are these folks ever going to pay twelve months of rents, etc, is one fell swoop.”

Well the thoery would be that banks would be forced by the govt to not be able to demand full suspended payment all at once, but simply extend the lengths of all loans by the amount of months they were put into forbearance due to covid.

Becoming much less stealth by the day, too.

Reason? The general public doesn’t seem to care, and buys every official rationalization for such a shift. Empires always take themselves down due to complacency.

Once enough years have gone by to normalize the lack of middle-class sustainability and we’re nudged rather forcefully into the state-controlled apartment boxes, given unlimited tv show options and THC edibles (purchased with our $1000/month UBI credit) we’ll be ripe for someone to come over and actually kick our asses.

Our turn comes soon. And that…well…kinda sucks.

          • Yohannon February 1, 2021 at 12:56 pm #

Capital centralizes. We disavow Marx only at our peril. So the question was: Do we go with Marxism with the Capitalists in control or do we go with National Socialism, a system which actually preserves the Nation and People? We went with Capitalism/Communism because we thought they were two opposite things instead of two different sides of the same thing. If that were true, why do they unite so very well against nationalism – which they hate with a passion?

Well we may come out of all this as nationalists in the end – Chinese nationalists that is. The revolution didn’t work out quite right over there, their love of themselves was too strong. They turned from Maoism to Chinese Nationalism, and now back to the Empire. We’ll be one of the lower tiered ethnic groups in the empire. I much prefer this to being ruled by Blacks of course.

The rent and mortgage moratoriums won’t come home to roost for another few months. Renters will get evicted, but mortgagors will have their ‘missed’ payments added onto the end of their notes, extending those monthly payments onto the back end. So the renters being evicted will take to the streets in protest, and retaliate against landlords with property destruction. You will also see multiple families living in 1 unit like sardines. Nothing much the landlords can do, even if leases limit the number of occupants. People will find ways to survive, just like the 1930’s depression. You will have house sharing galore. And people living in garages, storage units, pods, etc. Think Covid is bad now? Just wait a year. Biden will hide in the basement of the White House. No press conferences, nothing. Just prepared comments pleading for more stimulus. When the summer comes things will heat up in the streets. It will be like the 1960’s, except it will be older folk marching. The youth are too apathetic and clueless. The Dems won’t know what to do. Citizen militias will arise as people seek to protect and defend themselves against the chaos.

    Jim,

Great post as always. See below for Taibbi’s musings on same.

Taibbi, the last of the investigative journalists, calls a spade a spade and puts sometimes complex subjects in layman’s terms. His ruthless sarcasm is priceless.

    Have a laugh!

“Former White House senior adviser Jared Kushner and his deputy, Avi Berkowitz, have been nominated for the Nobel peace prize for their role in negotiating four normalisation deals between Israel and Arab nations known as the “Abraham Accords”.

The two former deputies to then-President Donald Trump were nominated by American attorney Alan Dershowitz, who was eligible to do so in his capacity as a professor emeritus of Harvard Law School.”

I really can’t comment to much, Wall Street is something I have only the most cursory understanding of.

I will say that the movement that turned into MAGA missed a yuge opportunity, when the Tea Party failed to recognize that they and the Occupy movement were on the same side.

We still do that; we hurl invective at the “other”, and don’t even recognize we are using the propaganda “talking points” the MSM foisted on us.

Yes, student loan debtors were victimized. No, that doesn’t mean there should be a wholesale debt elimination. That’s a false choice. It would also give the people who created and benefitted most from the racket that is Higher Ed, plenty of cover.

Joe Biden, btw, was instrumental in making the laws that single out the people with student loans for permanent debtor status, unable to avail themselves of any of the debt relief options every other class has a right to.

    Another talking point/false choice:
If you are skeptical of the rush job experimental ‘vaccine’ in any way, and resistant to the idea of having it forced on you and yours, you are a backward superstitious anti-vaxxer.

Back to my main point, which is this is how they divide us. There are more of us than there are of them. Way more. They have to keep us apart and afraid of each other, for their own survival.

Oh, and one other thing. The last financial bubble and crash did not happen because banks were forced to make loans to African Americans who couldn’t afford the houses they bought.

I was a worldwide mortgage meltdown. Duh.
I still hear people repeating that idiocy.

    • SW February 1, 2021 at 11:01 am #

“Joe Biden, btw, was instrumental in making the laws that single out the people with student loans for permanent debtor status, unable to avail themselves of any of the debt relief options every other class has a right to.”

The trillion + in student loan debt will hit the economy at some point as unemployment rises and salaries fall. Unpayable debt is just that — unpayable — and even though there’re no asset to foreclose on, there are lives to be ruined with the onerous terms buried in those loans. It’s a setup for debt peonage just like the payday loan places that setup in strip malls all over the country.

If the hedge funds go down I hope there is absolutely NO BAILOUT. A friends’ son in 2008 was paid millions by AIG that he and his investors in no way earned.

      • Blackbird February 1, 2021 at 12:39 pm #

A bail-out (gov’t gives our future wealth to the banks) will be too small to fill the crater left when this bubble pops. It will take a bail-in (gov’t gives our current wealth to the banks). That is what the Great Reset prescribes. To quote a great statesperson, “It takes a pillage”.

There are problems with the delivery system in place for the vaccines. There has already been a bomb threat at a manufacturing facility. It hardly seems worth taking the risk of getting an experimental vaccine for an illness with a survival rate in excess of 99%. Even if you’re over 80, the survival rate is greater than 97%. There are indications that about 50% of us my already be immune due to a previous infection with a corona virus. My daughter has it right now and she isn’t even sick enough to miss working her shift on her computer and phone at home. She has a stuffy nose, a slight cough, and complete loss of her senses of taste and smell. She doesn’t otherwise feel ill. There hasn’t even been a fever.

Those autists on reddit probably mostly voted for Biden, but it occurs to me that they are our natural allies, as well as BLM. I don’t know about Antifa, Those fascists were rioting and burning in Portland on the evening after the inauguration, carrying signs saying “Biden is not my President, but perhaps it is some sort of ruse to associate them in people’s minds with the right wing. I suspect their brief has nothing to do with either the Democrats or the Republicans, and the Democrats might come to rue the day they allied themselves with that bunch. If they thought they could bring them to heel after the successful takeover of the government, well, they have an awful lot on their plates.

      • MrMangoOnMyShoulder February 1, 2021 at 7:05 pm #

“Those autists on reddit probably mostly voted for Biden, but it occurs to me that they are our natural allies, as well as BLM.”

I saw BLM on local TV rolling dumpsters into residential neighborhoods, piling mattresses on top and then lighting them on fire to try to ignite the trees next to the homes of innocent families (while also blocking the intersections so fire trucks would not be able to respond if fires spread). I’m not getting in bed with them, even if their tactics work.

Then again, the people rolling dumpsters were 20-something white guys with hipster beards. So likely that was Antifa (or someone else) pretending to be BLM. So fucking annoying. Definitely don’t want to be in bed with them either.

    • Yohannon February 1, 2021 at 1:17 pm #

Yes and no. Occupy were Marxist/Anarchists, Communist/Antifa.
Tea Party were Capitalist/Libertarians. Proto-Maga. The former groups were Anti-American by their very nature. They wanted Globalism or in the case on anarchists, no nation or law or they don’t know what they want (seriously!). How are they going to united with American Patriots; people who believe in the system and want to become Elite themselves? In other words, false nationalists who don’t know their own falsity?

The real Elite understand Capitalism/Communism and play one off against the other. Both are for chumps. Successful people don’t compete. Competition is a sin. You crush your opponent or you unite with him. Or crush him and then unite with him in a crushed state. You take what’s his in other words. You make the losers share. That’s the Communism.

So essentially, No, no opportunity was missed. Being what they are, these confused people could never have united since they don’t understand that Communism is a creation of Capitalism and that their real friend was Fascism/National Socialism – something unacceptable to both sides.

      • MrMangoOnMyShoulder February 1, 2021 at 7:12 pm #

Yo – The reason people have a hard time getting on board with the core “benevolent” tenets of National Socialism is…well…the one time it was truly implemented it went far off the rails and things turned out quite horrifyingly poorly…for most of the entire world.

In theory and concept there may be something there, but in implementation (and name) it’s going to be a pretty tough sell to 99.9%. Including myself.

Also, I just can’t buy that Communism and Capitalism are married as flipsides of the same coin. Interesting concept, to be sure, and there are some points that line up. But in core and totality it just seems off to me.

        • Yohannon February 1, 2021 at 8:15 pm #

Well again, I’m talking about American National Socialism or American Fascism (the difference is that the former includes races whereas Fascism stops at honoring the culture and traditions. Civic Nationalism in other words), not German NS or Italian Fascism. The theory is clear: each Nation will have its own, one in concert with their own unique traditions, folkways and mores.

As for relationship between Capitalism and Communism: Who funded the Revolution? Do you think that workers with hammers and farmers with pitchforks could have overthrown the Czar and his secret police? We know the Bankers contributed massively to their co-ethnic revolutionaries.

Who funds the Communist BLM and Antifa? Not just Soros but every fucking major Corporations, other than a few.

France? Apparently the money flowed in from England, as well as some Aristocrats who wanted an industrial revolution like England’s. Their intellectual and the Masonic Lodges were all on board as well. Peasants alone? No one believes that.

China? I know less about it. Communist Russia, certainly. But also major aid from Capitalist Western Governments. Again – why? Why did Chiang Kai Shek overboard in favor of Communism?

Why do they do this? To destabilize ancient, self sufficient regimes and economies – and bring them into the “Market”. Both are philosophies of matter. In contrast, National Socialism and Fascism are Philosophies of Man.

And remember how the talking heads were so confident Capitalism would liberalize China? Didn’t happen. Meanwhile the Corporations were destroying Liberty here. The two systems meet again in Globalist Tyranny.

          • MrMangoOnMyShoulder February 1, 2021 at 9:45 pm #

So how would textbook Fascism or National Socialism translate positively into modern American society? They are both concepts that, on paper (depending on which paper you’re reading), can make sense…but tried in real life they end up in disaster and eventual collapse, much like the Soviet Union did under Communism/Marxism.

Every system seems to have its inherent flaw…human nature. Even the most benevolent hierarchy will eventually fall to some dipshit(s) and the pathological among them.

Our system has been going strong for 245 years. Even though the majority seem to be ambivalent, most people are still at least ideologically invested by muscle memory, if nothing else. It is now weakening by massive degrees, certainly. The center is not holding. There is mostly only right and left, to those that care to think about it. But how would a new/old structure (that has been tried before and ended up ruining tens of millions of lives) make us any better?

The people are the people they are, at this point. They would need war and famine to change their point of view. None of us, on the whole, have ever experienced that, nor would we want to. We’re coddled and comfortable. And we are weak, by historical standards. But so are most of the other historically Western countries. Imposing a system that has failed and been forever banned in many countries may not be a good thing…am I wrong?

          • Yohannon February 2, 2021 at 1:08 pm #

Are you wrong? About human nature: No. This is why we embrace a strict hierarchy. Not all things are for all people – certainly not voting! See Aristotle. And as Krishna says, The four castes are not arbitrary social designations, rather they are made by Me. Some here recently quoted a truncated medieval Christian version: those who labor, those who fight, and those who pray. The Pagan version was the Jarls (Lords), Carls (Warriors), and Thralls (Laborers/Slaves – not so nice!)

The Ancient Indian version is best: Brahmins (intellectuals/priests), Ksyatrias, (Warrior/Administrators), Vaisyas (famers, businessmen), and Sudras (Laborers). Are we going to embrace any such thing? No, we are ruled by selfish Vaisyas and evil Brahmans who used the Sudras (mob) to get control of the System via democracy. And yes, most regimes only get about 250 years so our demise is right on cue. Maybe we’ll continue as something else, as the Roman Empire did after the fall of the Republic. But you see they lauded their past, whereas “we” want to eliminate all traces of it – as well as the founding race. So to call what’s coming America would just be an insult to all that came before.

Are you wrong about National Socialism/Fascism? Yes. They work as per China and Japan show. That’s what they are underneath the Communist and Capitalist veneer. Just as we are a Totalitarian Plutocracy underneath our silly democratic veneer. The attempt to return to healthy Fascism or Civic Nationalism under Trump was crushed.

And if you really want to delve into forbidden knowledge, study the economic miracle of Nazi Germany. Many considered the Hero to be literally the Father of their Nation since they couldn’t afford to have kids until He put things right. Not having kids you can’t afford – aren’t Whites wonderful! It was working and it had to be crushed before other nations kicked out the parasite bankers and took it up themselves.

And even the lower class was honored: One time there was a breaking ground ceremony. Instead of just holding the shovel for a picture, the Hero began to work in earnest in the warm Spring sun until his shire began to be stained with sweat. He was teaching them about the dignity of labor. After a shocked minute or so, many others joined in joyfully.

So a system where all types of humans were put in their rightful place to contribute to the good of the entire social body. That’s how it would work. Obviously the Capitalists need to be watched with great vigilance since they will always tend to fall back into putting profit before people. That’s why they’re the second lowest class. But they will be raised to be humble and know that they are under surveillance by their betters. That will make them better. If they don’t like, they can leave. Ditto anyone else. The “Wall” would have a turnstile type exit. No ceremony needed. Getting back in would be much more difficult.

There is no comparison between 1929 and today. The stock market today is manipulated by AI-controlled machine buying and selling which will re-calibrate the indexes to avoid large, sustained bear trends. In fact, this is what makes the hedge funds founded on shorting speculations so attractive. GME and the like, are select items to be destroyed, during a general upswing of the market. 19. getsome February 1, 2021 at 10:30 am #

The last total I read was over 1 Trillion in damages to various hedge funds.
As James Howard has predicted many times over, the events that will precipitate the return to low tech living are manifesting front and center today. If one took note of past blogs, books, podcasts, then they’ve acquired the necessary components for smoothing out the transition in whatever form it takes I.e. quick-violent; moderately quick-violent (based on location); somewhat slow with some time to adjust and acquire items. Food supplies, garden set up and functioning, silver/gold/lead, water catchment system, with different filtration systems, redundant heating systems. Even if this is a false alert, these items have long term use.
The situation with silver should be the moment of enlightenment. One day between online acquisition of any quantity and next “out of stock” across all dealers. Everything on my dealers site now out. Quote for eagles is 25% above spot att. That will rise if product is available, no doubt. Extrapolate this to other items of value for an example of how rapidity the scarcity of important items can occur due to unforeseen events.
As with silver, if you’ve not acquired ammo – too late. Reloading equipment not to be found, or basic reloaded but NO dies for common calibers, no propellant, brass etc. A crossbow works well, with the best at 1 MOA @100yds. Hesitate and – you lose.

I expect to hear a campaign that will sound similar to the calls for more censorship of social media, for our own good and to prevent the spread of disinformation by “Nazi’s,” etc. This one will be along the lines of the need to prevent groups of private individuals (“Nazi’s,” of course) from coordinating stock or commodity trades to “distort and damage our markets.” They may look to ban trading by individuals altogether and require all trades to go through licensed and responsible brokers who will gauge the “soundness” of the trade and make sure it is not based upon “disinformation” or “evil intent” or “systemic racism.”

You can’t allow the riff-raff to even get close to the same rules by which our minders play.

Not surprising at all. A lot of people on the Right are going gaga over the Gamestop shenanigans, fantasizing that this is a harbinger of an all-out assault of the plebs on the system which will eventually destroy it. I have a much more cynical view of this. You will not change anything by finding a clever way to make a bundle by robbing the robbers. Bottom line, there is no value-add in that. The only intelligent, socially responsible way, to control the money madness and the economy based wholly on feeding financial parasitic uber-class, is through a set of tough financial regulation, i.e. revival of Glass-Steagall, outlawing making money on speculations on loss of value, i.e. “short-selling”, and taxation of volume stock market transactions. That is the only way I can see.

Quite so. People want to put on the Ring and become a Dark Lord – and be socially applauded for doing so. How few would be willing to remain Galadriel, diminish, and leave Middle Earth?

Capitalist Man is a Scumbag. You can take that to the Bank. That’s has to be the basis of our social policy.

If we must have a stock market, it must be tightly controlled as you say. Money has to be kept close to the physical world it represents – not become a commodity itself. Then we get the hallucinated economy as JHK puts it.

JPM went from the biggest short seller to the biggest long ever seen. It’s quite remarkable and extraordinarily bullish.”

We did not get any kind of delay or forbearance or anything on local school taxes, so I imagine local landlords who aren’t getting any rent are having to go into their own pocket for large sums of money to pay theirs.

Mind you, the schools have not been providing the product we pay for.
If you want to pay your taxes in cash, be prepared to sit in the line at the drive-through, the bank decided you can’t come inside due to the increased number of “cases” of COVID, which are nothing but positive tests that we know for a fact cannot accurately diagnose the virus.

That testing, though, is a billion dollar industry, so it keeps going.
I tried to interest a local reporter in this monumental case of fraud. I haven’t heard back from him, I’m afraid his head may have exploded from unaccustomed critical thinking.

The perfect form of revolution for the lockdown age. Where do I sign up? This non-physical, crowd-sourced form of resistance could be directed in other ways. For example, mass emails (from a secure account), calls (burner phone), etc., to maybe a certain sheriff’s department congratulating them for bravely fending off (with pepper spray and physical violence) a group of mothers and children who were trying to rescue an old woman who had been kidnapped by a hospital. MAGA = populism. We certainly must agree on the definition of words, but I think you’ve got this one wrong. We didn’t elect Trump as a Republican. He isn’t even Republican in the traditional sense of the word. He was a Democrat most of his life. We elected a Populist outsider, twice, I believe, though Trump is certainly a flawed vessel. Now we are going to be punished for it.

            Think about your statement.

Populism government doing what the people want, not what the government wants for their own return and power drives.

Of the people, by the people and for the people is a joke today.

What the heck is going to get these clods out of DC so that the government becomes responsive to the people again.

Trump did not work. The vote did not work, it was phony. Is it time for civil war, or is that too late? Is it time to go somewhere else?

          • draupnir February 1, 2021 at 6:30 pm #

JohnAZ, I was disagreeing with Yanos regarding the meaning of MAGA. He seems to believe it is fascist in nature, I argued that it is populist. We voted for a populist outsider. That he didn’t quite deliver is beside the point. Though I would prefer Trump in the oval office rather than Biden, I’m pleased that Biden will be the one to go down in history as the man who presided over the fall of the country. He may very well be the last ever elected, no matter how foul the means. Biden has no mandate or popular support, but apparently they have walled off DC and are going to carry out their agenda without it. I frankly don’t want to go in the direction they are dragging us. They’re dug in like a tick and there isn’t much I can think of to get them out. The only thing we can really do is resist and strike out in small, annoying ways. The Reddit autists are showing the way. I have frankly been considering Belize for about 10 years, but I’ve got the family anchor around my neck.

            Asinine and blatantly false.

If it wasn’t for the forced worship of the Caesar, Jews would still have their Temple in Jerusalem, have their sovereignty over Judea, and would never have suffered war genocide and exile by the Romans. There’d be no Satanic Roman reason to invent “Palestine” so as to negate the Jewish God the Jewish People and their Jewish Land. We also wouldn’t be naming months July and August, and we wouldn’t have the 10th month December now being the 12th. Same for the 7th 8th and 9th months being moved forward because of these 2 Caesar worship months.

“Trump did not work. The vote did not work, it was phony. Is it time for civil war, or is that too late? Is it time to go somewhere else?”

Who would be the two sides in this civil war? Where would the foot soldiers come from? It’s certainly not state v state, and it is far too complicated to say that it’s city v rural.

It seems to me the vast majority of Democrat voters and Trump voters have common problems, common levels of dispossession, and similar levels of interest in changing a system that has decayed and been corrupted.

I think what is needed is a social revolution against the powers that be (the owners of money and assets) – not a bunch of different beltway politicians (or even those in state houses) who are far more similar than they are different.

The deep state (the technocrats and experts) who manage the system for the wealthy would need to be disempowered too – but they are enabled by Republicans just as much as by Democrats.

False dichotomies and the elites win.

I think higher education is one place to start, to focus on. It has become a financial racket of gigantic size, fueled by almost limitless student loans, and the backing of serious endowment money.

Higher education should be free, and available to anyone who desires it and has the high school record required – the current selection processes favour the dominant classes, and three-quarters of the population never enjoys social mobility and advancement via education.

“I think higher education is one place to start”

Tekapo, you are very skilled at writing posts that are 3/4 cogent and reasonable, and then in the last 1/4 making a wrong turn at Albuquerque that makes no sense. And that exact formula seems to be your intent.

What in the holy hell does focusing on higher education racketeering, forgiving student loan debt and giving college away for free (to anyone who wants it) have to do with your previous talk of the deepening social divide in this country and who exactly would band together on sides if there were another civil war?

How would that be a place to start?

Perhaps we could tackle the civil divide question by lowering auto emissions too? Or adding another Earth Day each year…banning the sale of ammunition…or adding a third ? bathroom in every school hallway across the nation? That could all solve it too.

How does giving people free access to (mostly) liberal indoctrination centers help the divide?

Oh…I see…if everyone gets the same forced training, there would be no divide. Got your point now. I think?

People need guidance and modeling. We’re not fish or frogs who just know what to do. My cats used to hunt moths with great enthusiasm in the warm summer nights. I offered one of them a bug I had caught in my house and was releasing outside. She wasn’t interested. Instinct told her that wasn’t a good one to eat, whereas moths where. But even cats need some modeling to grow up well.

Our current System is trying to perv, queer, and corrupt as many people as possible. Every little kid gets an I phone or computer with access to pornography. And a free “education” as to how they as scum if White and how America was/is unspeakable evil and will remain so until completely changed.

I propose a System that helps people become healthy. Surely that’s a big difference. And yes, the small needs to be maintained as well. The local. The family with a Father as the head. You’re right: This is the great challenge. One of the greatest lines in LOTR: Barliman says to the new King, Aragorn, Congratulations, but we want to be left alone. Aragorn: You will be.

          • Tekapo February 2, 2021 at 3:17 pm #

“How would [higher education] be a place to start?”

I make no apology for my belief that post-secondary education is a great place to start, in order to break class barriers, allow upward mobility, and to ensure people have better careers and lives.

Thomas Jefferson thought so too. When the founders looked west of the Appalachians, he mandated that every new state fund a state university from the get-go.

He understood that you needed a farmer class, a yeoman-tradesman class, and an educated middle class was part of the glue to make decent societies.

I made no comment about forgiving the current $1.3 trillion in outstanding student loan debt. There are arguments both ways on the question. But I certainly believe higher education should be free – and in fact students who can’t afford it should receive a stipend to cover their basic living expenses for the four years.

And I am talking about universities being a liberating force in society, and a great place to get very large numbers of people who are currently locked out of higher education and careers a better chance in life.

But two types of universities need major reform – firstly the “prestigious” universities, where it is their status that is their main point. Every current Supreme Court justice has attended either Yale or Harvard – it need not be that way, and nor should it be that way.

And secondly, a wide range of hippie-shit liberal arts courses need to be reformed and re-engineered. There is nothing wrong with a liberal arts degree per se, but it needs to be grounded in reality.

But my preference is for a wide range of practical and necessary skills and qualifications to be bolstered and funded: nursing, policing, emergency services, allied health, computing, agriculture, teaching, writing, business, and a lot of other practical, productive skills that will be necessary in the future.

The GI Bill got a lot of people a higher education, most of whom would not have had that opportunity but for WWII. It was considered radical at the time.

Under the current system, attendance at an elite university is a necessary ticket to many fields – all of that needs to be broken down if the financial rackets, business rackets, political rackets, and the technocratic “deep state”, are going to be reformed.

Perhaps we could avoid a civil war.

Silver is 18 times more abundant than gold, yet gold trades at over 65 times silver. Although gold has industrial usages, it’s not quite as useful as Ag. Tell me the markets aren’t manipulated.

Personally, I hope this new silver gamut succeeds. The public has been screwed way too long. Not sure it will be successful. If it is, expect other investments to come under attack. Wouldn’t it be something if the revolution happens through the investment markets and not through violence in the streets?

Marlin, ultimately silver will end up at its true value. You can’t keep a good metal down forever. What is that true value? What someone is willing to pay for it. If and when hyperinflation comes, the price really will go to the moon. Can’t say what price that will be. However, in the short term, I see the price getting to $35, but I’m pretty conservative. In 1980 the price hit $50 per ounce. Also, there could be a short-term price drop as the big boys start taking defensive action. Sorry to be so wishy-washy, but I’ve been following precious metals for over 50 years, and know the market is fixed.

        • messianicdruid February 1, 2021 at 4:13 pm #

Wrong question. What you want to know is how far the “dollar” will fall. So a better question: How many intrinsically worthless pieces of a paper currency with a picture of George Washington on it can be purchased with one ounce of silver [ it is a trade after all ].

That about jibes with the traditional 16:1 silver to gold ratio instituted in the US in the early 1800’s. Assuming the gold price isn’t being suppressed (BIG if), silver should be over $100 @ oz.

And unlike gold, an awful lot of silver is consumed each year and is not recoverable. Add to that, “pure” silver mines are a rarity, most silver is a by-product of copper mining ops.

The price of silver has got to be the most manipulated out there.

      • beantownbill. February 1, 2021 at 2:14 pm #

It is. But remember that the gold market is manipulated, too, and that also affects the gold/sliver ratio. Say gold should be at $5,000. At 16/1, silver would be over $300.

        • malthuss February 1, 2021 at 2:30 pm #

One debt ‘clock’ has silver at 4500/ounce, relative to gov debt.

          • beantownbill. February 1, 2021 at 3:22 pm #

If we match the price of silver to the national debt, I would think that long before silver got to $4,500, the debt would have been repudiated or the silver price regulated. If something bad happens unexpectedly, then maybe the price rises that high very fast, but regulation would set in rapidly. The main value for the average person to own silver is either to back the dollar or replace it someday. Although it would make many people happy at present to own $4,500 Ag as an investment.

        • Chippenhook February 2, 2021 at 2:26 pm #

Linking paper money to gold & silver may have worked at one time but it would not going forward. Governments would simply say they have more gold than they really do. There is no way govts would allow an actual fair audit of the reserves they say they have.

As I write that I am reminded of a few years back when I think it was Germany who wanted their gold back from bank vaults in NYC. They couldn’t get it repatriated, probably because it wasn’t there any more. They went quiet on their demand rather quickly too, I suspect after being told the truth and then needing to go on publicly making believe they still had all that physical gold.

    • Soul Forensics February 1, 2021 at 3:04 pm #

the “markets” exist today as a money-laundering apparatus for the criminal central bank and its co-conspirator charter banks ie JPM, Goldman, Blackrock et al. The “markets” serve no other purpose. The only way to approach this vast money laundering apparatus is by employing game theory manipulation, as in the case with GME, re: *prisoner’s dilemma*.

once this corrupt system of money creation is taken out, the human race will only benefit. Until it’s taken out, it languishes in slavery to this the owners of this onerous system.

JFK signed EO 11110 which ordered the Treasury to create currency backed by silver. He ordered it to print $4 billion + in 10 and 20 dollar bills to be printed and circulated effectively ending central bank corruption and domination. 10 days later, he was assassinated. This currency never saw the light of day and it was back to the corrupted business as usual per the privately owned central bank of frauds and criminals.

Stop the central bank money creation/money laundering and a huge chunk of the corruption and crime in politics that goes along with it will also stop. it’s astonishing that this practice has been permitted to plague the world for so long.

    • beantownbill. February 1, 2021 at 2:05 pm #

      • kimmasad01 February 1, 2021 at 2:27 pm #

Putting it mildly, central bank money creation puts all its beneficiaries in a tactical advantage over the citizens having no access to it, as these ones use it to fund rigged elections, to pay off corrupted law makers, to wage wars, to inflict tyranny and wage propaganda campaigns and much more. not to mention they use it to live in shameless luxury and privilege. This horrendous, illegal practice has got to stop.

          • beantownbill. February 1, 2021 at 3:33 pm #

It happens in craps, too, Marlin. Some people like to bet against the dice, hoping a 7 is thrown before the pass line number is thrown again. They are called “don’t” bettors. For that reason I understand short selling. If you buy stock, the lowest it can go down is to 0, so the most you can lose is your entire investment. If you short sell a stock, technically there’s no limit to how much you can lose – even many times your investment.

          • benr February 1, 2021 at 3:58 pm #

Pretty simple people sell margin calls.
One end says they will buy a stock if it hits $5 dollars or sell it when it hits $3 dollars.
If the stock never hits that 5 dollar mark they never buy it but if it hits that three dollar mark they are forced to buy it to then sell if for that lower price.
So one guy never really out puts money unless it goes low and they can sell those margins over and over and make money on each increment it climbs as long as it never drops.

They are selling a stock they don’t even hold.

How do gold and silver get out of the ground, and then purified to .999%? It takes energy to operate machinery to dig it out, energy to process the metal, and energy to transport it to various manufacturers. In other words, the price of gold and silver is dependent on the price of oil to a certain degree. If we are past peak oil, or if international and American political tensions occur, then the price of oil rises. Then the price of precious metals must rise accordingly. So you have 2 separate industries co-dependent on each other. Our current system is so complex and filled with such interdependencies, that an event in one operating system could start a chain reaction leading to complete collapse of our society.

    • Soul Forensics February 1, 2021 at 3:13 pm #

A useful and neat image of contrasting pricing which can be labeled the see-saw effect:

As stock market prices go up, gold and silver and oil go down. And the reverse is true.

Which brings us to demand destruction for oil. It’s already been happening for quite a while, but it’ll be nothing compared to the cratering market for oil when WTI crude (opposite of last year) goes through the roof.

I wouldn’t want to be a car salesman these days.

      • JohnAZ February 1, 2021 at 4:56 pm #

Yeah, gold and silver are the risk adverse reaction to risky times, such as now. Silver gets a boost because it is used in solar panels.

Oil seems to track how good the economy is doing, more demand, higher price. All that goes away if there are supply crises.

If you believe in JHK and peak oil, the price will continue to rise as supply declines. Idiots like the Dems in power right now may make an artificial supply crisis as they try to destroy the oil industry, like they tried to destroy the coal industry. Everyone needs to relax on this one, they are not going to get away with it.

    • BackRowHeckler February 1, 2021 at 3:28 pm #

Bill, there was plenty of gold mining before petroleum came into wide use.

The first US gold mines were in N Georgia in the 1830s.

      1849: California Gold Rush

1859: Oil Strike in Titusville, Penn.

Aren’t they both valuable minerals independent of one another?

      Brh

      • beantownbill. February 1, 2021 at 3:43 pm #

In the 1850’s, Marlin, we didn’t have the same oil-dependent machinery as we do today, there were no autos, and very little electricity. Also, we had basically all our in-ground oil supply intact. You are correct, back in the 1850’s there wasn’t any real dependency between oil and silver. Today, however, is a different story.

        • JohnAZ February 1, 2021 at 4:45 pm #

Gold was wealth, you went shopping in Aspen, you paid bills with gold dust, or silver ore. Miners were paid by smelters for ore which was assayed out for its content.

Oil was needed for light! Oil was refined for lubricants for steam engines and kerosene. Gasoline was a waste product and was just thrown away. It was fortunate for the whales as whale oil was a prime source of light. Edison and Tesla invented the light bulb and electrical distribution. Rockefeller was in a bad spot until the internal combustion engine was invented. The rest is history.

Natural gas was in there somewhere with gas lighting on streets and in houses. They burned a lot of houses down with kerosene and natural gas so the electric bulb was a big safety improvement.

          • JohnAZ February 1, 2021 at 4:48 pm #

Steam engines run with coal were used in many hard rock mines to keep ground water pumped out. Ground water is what shut down a lot of mines, including the silver mines around Tombstone AZ.

          • BackRowHeckler February 1, 2021 at 6:47 pm #

Ground water in coal mines is why the steam engine was invented in 1756.

        • Not_GeorgeT February 1, 2021 at 7:33 pm #

Energy was still expended to dig mines and pan in streams.

    • JohnAZ February 1, 2021 at 5:06 pm #

Only extremely stupid people, who will remain nameless, think that oil and gas will ever be replaced by renewables. In simplest terms, it takes oil and gas to make renewables and maintain them. It takes oil and gas to get the rare earths our world is dependent on. It takes oil and gas to run agriculture. It takes oil and gas to make plastics. Turn all the cars electric and we will still need lots of oil and gas to support electrical generation and lubricants for the cars.

High speed trains instead of airlines? We need both.

Our growth will absorb all the renewable sources of energy, we need all forms of energy for the future.

That is why the Democratic idiots stand a chance of destroying the world economy in their zeal to correct AGW. Their zeal may starve a lot of people to death.

Loyalty to the country, rather than to a single leader, means those bureaucrats follow the law and have an interest in protecting the government. It is the weight of that loyalty that managed to stop Trump from becoming a dictator—”

            Trump Dictator!

            LOL.

I read that both Bermuda and Guam had record low temps very recently. Apparently some tropical islands at least are maybe not feeling quite tropical at the moment. It would be interesting to know what the czar thinks on the matter. Has the burning planet created record lows or is Bill Gates’ plan to dim the sunlight coming to pass?

“20? of snow and colder than a witches left tit. Somebody tell the Climate Czar.”

There is a big difference between weather and climate. In fact 2020 tied with 2016 for the hottest year on record (world average temperatures).

However I dislike and distrust the John Kerry types – pretty intensely really. For their largely unearned wealth, their hypocrisy, and frankly – whether they remotely have the skills for the job … other than looking like a proper member of the Davos Club, and knowing which fork to use with the fish.

Also, it does appear that when Earth is warmer life flourishes much more so than when Earth is in its cold phase. Even though 2020 may have been a warm year there are still massive glaciers at both the North and South poles. In geological history, this is a very very unusual situation. Having so much ice in the world that is. The Earth overall has almost always been much warmer than it is now per the experts. And cyclically speaking we are overdue for things to get even colder.

I agree with much of the sentiment, however our problem is that we have 7.7 billion people, many right on the edge in all sorts of ways, and short-term global warming (a century or so?) as a result of excess CO2 could be pretty catastrophic.

So I am absolutely not a Global Warming Denier – there is simply far too much hard data, including to do with ice-melt – but I want a pretty forensic analysis of all the proposed solutions … so they are real solutions, not just (a) feel-good measures, or (b) weak outcomes so no-one’s political sensibilities are offended.

A Paris Climate Agreement without limits for China and India is pointless. The other huge issue is that solutions that cost too much will not be accepted or implemented, and solutions that cost hardly anything are probably not solutions at all.

There will have to be a decline in our standard of living (for all sorts of peak-everything reasons, including global warming), and as JHK has outlined for years, we can do that either in an orderly way, or the really hard way.

          It’s over to us.

            Tekapo

First off, I agree with your observations. The implementation of new technologies, actually not so new, is imperative if you believe in Peak oil.

            My arguments are:

In 30 years, there will be a decline in oil production, even fracking. Cheap oil will be gone, already drilled. If we want any semblance of order, we better have a plan B.

If the world continues to populate, and economies continue to grow, we will need it all, fossil fuels, solar, nuclear, algae, wind, geothermal, hydrogen, you name it. As poorly as our government performs, we needed to start yesterday to have all avenues in place by 2050. Nuclear especially needs to be brought on line world wide, like in France. Why is it that China leads us in every category of alternative energy? We need to develop our own alternative industries using fossil fuels in the meantime.

The pipeline shutdown was the stupidest thing I have seen either party do in my 73 years. They are purposely fooling with people’s lives for their power gain. I hope this forms the core of the resistance and the third party. The rust belt felt they were screwed by Obama? Wait until the reaction of North Dakota and Texas to the oil shutdown. Oil will be needed in the future, regardless of what the ignorant politicians say. Forever.

Your observation that we need to understand the impacts of what we are doing before we do it is right on. My faith in science as the answer to everything has been seriously shaken. Why? Too many politics in those scientists. CO2 sequestration is a good example, how long and how much before we have an ice age. How much overshoot will happen? How many plants are we going to injure by reducing their supply of CO2? Beetle kill and dry forests right now should show us this danger.

The Paris Accord is a globalist joke. It really shows how really stupid government becomes when it gets too big. China and India have just kept blowing it off, building coal fired plants as needed. They have no interest in what occurs thirty years from now, they are just trying to keep up now. There is no punitive power in the Accord, that in itself makes it worthless. And the idea that we are going to bail out all the high polluters and developing word is ludicrous. Globally, just running the money presses does not work. Besides, we are almost thirty trillion dollars in debt now. Trump was right to get us out of this debacle. The Deep State is just as wrong to put us back in. I guess just another excuse to spend money needlessly.

The whole global warming thing has been a power grab by the globalists and our contingent, the Deep State, since the beginning. There are enough discrepancies in the data to make one wonder if the CO2 correlation is real. Is it heat islands, where heat is held in instead of radiating. It also correlates time wise to the warming. Could it be that with the heat being held in by asphalt and concrete, there is no increase in absorption by CO2. We do not know these answers. Urbanization has moved northward and southward toward the poles, could it be that that is heating the earth and contributing to the melt. Same with mountain glaciers. Should we spend our kids’ future on “pipe” dreams that accomplish nothing?

The quality of people in the US making these decisions are suspect. Their knowledge is superficial and many of them are just plain dumb. John Kerry comes to mind very fast along with his boss, Obama, that just do not have a clue. They are concerned about their power and the invasion of the globalists only. Both are suspect, trusting the Iranians to hold to that treaty when they have been developing nuclear weapons right along. Just recently, they have threatened they are weeks away from the bomb. Kerry wants to re-establish the treaty. ???? Climate czar, my ass. The hair looking for a brain!

The whole show the Dems are putting on shows very obviously they are just interested at incorporating every really dumb thing they wanted HRC to do four years ago. Their goal is obvious, domination of the Uniparty and implementation of Marxist style control.

“what about the 5 billion years for which records are unavailable?”

Not relevant to current issues. About 3.5 billion years ago there were some single-celled organisms feeding on methane. So not really comparable with our present requirements to survive.

Humans have appeared, survived and thrived within a very narrow range of average global temperatures. We change those average global temperatures at our peril (but we’ll do it anyway, until the ability to do it stops).

          • rube-i-con February 2, 2021 at 10:20 am #

5 billion years of climate data isn~t relevant to us

??? are you telling us that ???

“Greenland’s ice sheet shrank between 10,000 and 7,000 years ago, and has been slowly cumulating over the past 4,000 years. The current melting will reverse that pattern and within the next 1,000 years, if global heating continues, the vast ice sheet is likely to vanish altogether.”

          • GreenAlba February 2, 2021 at 10:29 am #

I seem to be missing your point – perhaps I misunderstood what you were implying.

We have ice core records going back 130,000 years in Greenland and 800,000 years in Antarctica.

So I don’t get why your statement about Greenland’s ice sheets contradicts anything I said.

          • JohnAZ February 2, 2021 at 10:59 am #

Leif Erickson and his horny adventurers settled Greenland less than 1000 years ago because the coast was arable land. Not today. We had a mini ice ages in the Middle Ages, because of volcanoes.

Our recorded history is meaningless in extrapolating the future, too little data, not long enough to show long term geologic and astronomical influences. 2020 was hot, how do we know that 2030 might be colder than norm. We don’t have a clue. 800000 years is nothing in geologic history, the ice ages have been going on for 65 million years, on and off. There is the scary part, why on and off. Again, we do not have a clue. Should we be messing with stuff we do not have a clue about?

Maybe trying to move toward nuclear and renewable, continuing to improve the performance of our combustion methods, and planting trees everywhere, and grass, and bushes, and algae, and kelp and every green thing we can cultivate. Again, we do not understand what a super green planet will do to improve the CO2 situation. Also, if we plant green everywhere and sequester CO2 what is the limit to keep us out of the next ice age? What if Etna, Krakatoa, and Hawaii all blow there tops at the same time in a natural geologic event. How about Yellowstone or Rainer, both overdue and rumbling.

We do not know much of anything and fooling around following scientists could be catastrophic.

Period of the most intense hurricanes in the US, 1925-1938

A hurricane hit New England in 1630 that was so powerful that contemporary authors writing about King Philip’s War 1675-1676 commented on the wreckage of it that was still visible 45 years later.

We had major floods round here in 1850, 1913, 1936, 1938 and 1955.

    1970: Ice age by 2000

    1971: ‘New Ice Age Coming’

“Telltale signs are everywhere —from the unexpected persistence and thickness of pack ice in the waters around Iceland to the southward migration of a warmth-loving creature like the armadillo from the Midwest. Since the 1940s the mean global temperature has dropped about 2.7° F.
Scientists have found other indications of global cooling. Whatever the cause of the cooling trend, its effects could be extremely serious, if not catastrophic. Scientists figure that only a 1% decrease in the amount of sunlight hitting the earth’s surface could tip the climatic balance, and cool the planet enough to send it sliding down the road to another ice age within only a few hundred years.
Warns Hare: “I don’t believe that the world’s present population is sustainable if there are more than three years like 1972 in a row.
Summers in the second half of the 20th century were warmer than those in the first half and it could be argued that this was a global warming signal. However, the average CET summer temperature in the 18th century was 15.46 degC while that for the 20th century was 15.35 degC. Far from being warmer due to assumed global warming, comparison of actual temperature data shows that UK summers in the 20th century were cooler than those of two centuries previously.”

Ditto Desmond the Tranny child. Not real, right? Even though he’s on youtube, etc. It has to be the NEWS, right? You’re a serious person, after all, but one with a sense of humor…..

  49. JohnAZ February 2, 2021 at 11:15 am #

One thing is true. Our poles are our air conditioners. If we lose their ice covering and allow the waters to warms, the cooling afforded by the poles will be unavailable.

Our meteorological increase in wind speed is probably being caused by larger temperature gradient from the tropics to the poles. We are, however, losing the buffer at the poles. Does the whole planet just continue to heat up to a higher point if the pole ice goes to zero.

We do not have a clue.

I was kidding, rube, but thank you if you were not. We used to say ‘double Dutch’ in such situations, but I wasn’t sure if it would travel.

I read an interesting story from the book ‘Lingo’ which my husband bought me one time. It takes you round all the countries of the EU and gives you a few pages on some random interesting or amusing facts about the language(s) spoken there.

You can possibly tell me if the Icelandic one was true. Allegedly, modern Icelanders are very proud of their ancient language and the fact that most of them can make a decent fist of it because it’s changed less than many other such archaic languages.

Language mutations and evolution are mainly driven, the author contends, by young people gathering among themselves, away from their parents. Iceland is so inhospitable that such gatherings of young people didn’t happen nearly so much as in other countries. Hence the language suffered slower change and Old Icelandic is not such a mystery to modern readers as the equivalent in those other countries.

Does that seem reasonable, from your experience?

          • rube-i-con February 2, 2021 at 12:38 pm #

the language remained very much unchanged due to the country~s isolation, which meant little intercourse with other tongues.

            ~wait, did i say that? ~

and yes, icelanders can understand 70% of old icelandic with ease

interesting side note: Icelandic still used Thee and Thou until about 1940, and I once, in the last century, crossed paths with one such individual who, upon travelling to the capital from her farm, asked me if the words were still being used.

    Assumptions are not facts:

    https://skepticalscience.com/global-warming-on-jupiter.htm

They set up a straw man “This argument is part of a greater one that other planets are warming. If this is happening throughout the solar system, clearly it must be the sun causing the rise in temperatures – including here on Earth.”

Could there be other reasons, such as the entire solar system is traveling through an area of space with higher energies?

Well GA, earth is ripping around the sun at 67,000 mph, and spinning at 1080 mph. The solar system itself is moving thru space at 450,000 mph. Maybe there is something to what messianicdruid is saying.

And who ever said earth’s climate was stable? Up to 20,000 years ago there was a 2 mile thick ice sheet over where I am right now, one that extended from the arctic to LI Sound. Then it all melted, and the Ice Age came to and end.

When Climate fanatics get our nuclear and natgas powerplants shut down it’ll us out here living in the dark and freezing; the Climate Czar and Obama out on the Vineyard will still have plenty of juice to keep their mansions warm and lit, and the yachts and private jets powered up, don’t worry.

The Other Game: Covid White Paper

I flew to Italy two weeks before the “Pandemic” closed the country. After a week in Italy, I flew to Africa and spent several days in bed with a severe flu type sickness. I had a high temperature, extreme tiredness and a lingering chest issue which developed into bronchitis. ( I am 75 years old and I have several comorbidities including severe pulmonary hypertension). By the end of the second week, I treated the bronchitis with a Z-pack and got well by the end of the third week. The return trip to the United States was difficult since Trump shut down the airlines. When I got back, I started researching the issue and I found a study by John Ioannidis from Stanford. He analyzed the Diamond Princess Cruise Ship which was a Petri Dish for the alleged virus and determined that we should not shut down the country and jump off a cliff. His argument made sense to me and then we jumped off the cliff based on the flawed judgment of Neil Ferguson of Imperial College. By April 1, 2020, after many hours of research, I was convinced that the shutdown was a mistake and was possibly the biggest public policy mistake in the history of medicine. Now in February of 2021, my thinking has been proven correct although most of the citizens of the United States have been brainwashed by the major media which has proven to be fake news.

In law, there is a concept called: “burden of proof.” Since the Covidians (my word for people who believe the Covid Myth) claim there is a horrible disease that requires masks, social distancing and a lockdown of the society, I am putting the burden of proof on them and they cannot prove their case.
The following are true facts (These are true until the Covidians can prove they are not true)

    1. The SARS-COV-2 virus has not been proven to exist.
    2. Once it has been proven to exist, it must then be proven to be the pathogen that is causing the
Covid-19 “Pandemic.”The “Pandemic” is a result of classifying flu deaths, etc. as Covid Deaths
    3. All peer reviewed science over the last 50 years has proven that masks will not prevent the spread of a virus.
    4. Social Distancing and Lockdowns will not prevent the spread of a virus. The virus will be a virus.
    5. The Lockdowns are the largest public policy mistake in history. They have destroyed our economy and will result in more deaths than the “virus.”)
    6. The “vaccines” have not been proven to be safe or effective. The mRNA technology is new and has not been adequately tested in humans and is not a vaccine. The jab is a trial, the victims are guinea pigs and anyone who gives the jab without full disclosure of its experimental nature and possible side-effects is violating the Nuremburg Code and is a war criminal. The drug company cannot be sued for injuries.
    7. The PCR test is useless.
    8. The number of respiratory deaths is in line with previous years.

Here is my challenge to the Covidians: You are the ones suggesting that we continue to destroy our society. Prove your beliefs are true. The burden is on you.

    • Night Owl February 2, 2021 at 1:39 pm #

You will never get satisfactory responses from a Branch Covidian.

The most accurate term I have heard to describe the fiasco is Plandemic. All the PR was ready to go. Economic destruction is the aim; then we can “Build Back Better” with a security state so oppressive, governance so centralized, and society so managed you will forget what freedom ever felt like.

    • Yohannon February 2, 2021 at 3:01 pm #

A friend sent me an interesting Bitchute round table where Dr Miskovits and a Dr Kaufman got into an angry debate. He claimed the Covid virus had never been isolated. He may not even believe in viruses. Miskovits said that they can’t be isolated since by their very nature they do not stand alone. It got heated with Kaufman calling her a liar and a fraud.

What was he a doctor of? Naturopathy? He may have some interesting points, but the virus model seems to work, even if we have to infer their existence by their effects, not just sickness, but observed changes in the cells. As to seeing them directly, is it possible? Or are they just too small if “isolated”.

Imagine if beings of fire who lived on suns tried to study us by isolating us away from our world and into theirs: We’d burn up.

They both agree with your premises that the vaccine isn’t one, but rather untested gene therapy. And beyond that, that public health was often a disaster.

Did vaccines used to be safe or at least safer? Before they put all the crap into them?

I tried posting the Bitchute here, but it doesn’t take. Great opening song called “Safety Mask” to the tune of Safety Dance.

    • Raindogs February 3, 2021 at 12:23 am #

You throw out a lot of supposition as fact but perhaps the most idiotic is that “social distancing will not prevent the spread of a virus.”

Regardless of your feelings on the overreaction and shutdown, anyone willing to try and pass that statement over as anything other than total horseshit isn’t coming from a place anywhere near rational thinking.

      • Night Owl February 3, 2021 at 7:37 am #

It won’t prevent the spead for three reasons:

        1. You cannot get millions of people to social distance.

        2. The scientific and medical communities do not know how far “the virus” can travel. There have been multiple theories on how far away one must be to limit exposure to the point needed to stop transmission, and some suggest much farther than 6 feet.

        3. “The virus” can live on surfaces for a period of time after exiting the body. Some surfaces are partiularly welcoming, such as cardboard.

Regardless, “the virus” is not particularly dangerous, and the virus narrative is a hoax, so all of this is moot.

      • Not_GeorgeT February 4, 2021 at 7:55 am #

And you’ll support this statement by citing multiple, repeatable scientific experiments in real-world situations?

I signed up after a long hiatus away from JHK’s lurch to the far right for reasons I’ll never quite comprehend.

I used to enjoy the actual, intelligent, comprehensive and well thougt out and civil debates between posters….but alas….the place turned into an amalgam of NewsMax and OAN.

This essay today is a refreshing return to the JHK that I used to read religiously before the deceptive “Great Gollum” title was bestowed by JHK in an attempt to seem “non partisan”.

But…as I see here in the comments section, those with centrist or even center-right sensibilities of the Republican party of old…are gone. Driven away by…

Managing somehow…to turn a a Redditor’s game against WallStreet—into something about BLACK LIVES MATTER and the election being “stolen” from “woksters”.

Whatever. Either this place is nothing but trolls that will never, ever support Mr. K in his attempt to turn a profit via Patreon (I recall when he started that shuck and jive crap begging for financial support….socialism much, JHK?)……or …..well…..nah….full of trolls.

Nice essay today, though. Since, in reality, there is nothing else to write about….and the whole “holographic Joe” schtick is nothing but a sore losers’ lame attempt at remaining relevant.

I haven’t denied anything. Clearly. This is the first comment I’ve made since I was on this site when K-Dog and that group were here years ago.

Nope. I actually emailed JHK about admiring his performance on “Prophets of Doom” with Michael Ruppert and Nate Hagans…ask him about it. I’m a Nurse in NY and had a private conversation with him about my observations at the start of COVID. He’s in Saratoga, I was in Albany.

Nopity. Nope Nope. Sorry, fellas. Trollville is what this site has turned into, sadly. As evidenced by your nonsensical responses that I’ve “denied” something without every saying a word.

Jim jumped on that “angry white men are being emasculated” by the left train…and hoped that the purse strings would open for him as well…as it did for the “Great Gollum” and his criminal family enterprise….although JHK always has had a timber sized chip on his shoulder about his idea of white masculinity being destroyed in this country.

Macho men in the mindless tradition of Mussolini and Duterte….are being shown the door, thankfully so. Dumpy had his little party and now the realization that yes….75 million people did vote for the guy, but a large portion of them not because of who he is or what he stands for.

They voted R because they’ve always voted R and cannot pull the lever for a D, no matter the cost. Or they’re narrow issue or singular issue voters. The next guy (or…GASP!….WOMAN!) who speaks to the Evangelicals or tickles Wall Street just right….will have the full throated support of “the base”….minus the little sliver that makes up “MAGAtLand”.

    https://www.axios.com/trump-oval-office-meeting-sidney-powell-a8e1e466-2e42-42d0-9cf1-26eb267f8723.html

In the end, Trump listened to his Deep State advisors who counselled surrender to defeat. It was so much easier and more attractive. A counter-coup was a huge risk that might not work. He figured he could beat the coming charges against him and still be the head of the Republican Party. Also he was ambitious for Don Jr, Eric, and Ivanka. Didn’t want to ruin their chances by doing anything heroic. Thus his last gambit was the lame Pence play – something doomed to fail given who Pence is and the weight of ceremonial precedent.

If you have triumphed, you hang your sword on the wall. Soon it is seen as a mere decoration. The idea of using it seem not only utterly barbaric, but gauche and ridiculous. Thus did Herschmann (sp?) berate General Flynn. It’s like the Police: in a well ordered society, there is little crime. So why do we need all these police for? It’s like Fascism or something, man!

Thus in the end, (listen to Morrison’s This is the End), Trump listened to Hersh and Meadows and their swan song of summer meadows and hershey bars. But in reality, Winter was coming and the Wolf was at the door.

Another reason to detest J.P. Morgan: Reported on Axios.

JPMorgan Chase announced a new $30 billion commitment over the next 5 years to advance racial equity, especially for Black and Latinx Americans.

    (VOMIT)

    • Wizard of the Saddle February 2, 2021 at 5:34 pm #

It’s bad enough that J.P. Morgan corrupts our financial system and our politics. Now they insist on corrupting our society and culture by enlisting their megabucks in the cause of racist anti-white identity politics.

Globalists are truly the nexus of all evil in this world.

“Now they insist on corrupting our society and culture by enlisting their megabucks in the cause of racist anti-white identity politics.”

I don’t love JP Morgan, but what is so problematic about them having a targeted $30billion fund aimed at minorities? Isn’t one of the problems with the country that there are a lot of poor people who need some pro-active assistance?

And realistically, $6billion a year is loose change for a bank of that size … lots of PR in the move, no doubt. But still, better than nothing.

  62. Redneck Liberal February 2, 2021 at 5:47 pm #

Such clever fellows, these MAGA ‘mostly peaceful’ protesters:

CNN conducted an investigation into some of the insurrectionists who stormed the Capitol on January 6th, only to find out that many of them didn’t even vote in the 2020 election.

At least eight of the people currently facing federal charges for their roles in the riots didn’t vote. These people come from all different backgrounds and are of different ages. These Trump supporters somehow had the time to travel to Washington and possibly even take off work, but they didn’t have the time to cast a ballot themselves. How were these people so sure the election was stolen, when they as diehard Trump fans didn’t even bother to go to their local polling place?

The big picture of this story is that there are many people who complain about the government and believe themselves to be politically active, but they don’t vote. They will share memes on Facebook and tune into cable news commentary shows every night but when it’s time to cast a ballot, they don’t. Typically in presidential elections, half of eligible voters stay home. There is a growing disconnect in this country between what people believe political activism to be and what it actually is. Voting is the most crucial thing citizens must do to take part in the political process, and yet so many don’t do it.

    • rube-i-con February 2, 2021 at 6:15 pm #

how do you know they didn~t vote? multiple times?

you are against voter ID and signature verification, remember, it~s racist

maybe they voted under fake names, there were only 80 million unsolicited ballots mailed out, with no chain of custody, with ballot harvesting legal

why the concern with recording who voted // didn~t vote?

      • rube-i-con February 2, 2021 at 6:16 pm #

    • awwww February 2, 2021 at 7:09 pm #

Um…didn’t your guy complain bitterly of how “low class” his supporters appeared at his riot?

Because they are. Uneducated, uninformed, easily lead and easily deceived.

They’re all crying now. “Can’t you just let me go to Mexico with my friends while out on bail???” How unfair of that judge to hold a white woman accountable. What nerve of a judge to impose the rule of law on a MAGAt.

“It wasn’t ME! TRUMP told me to go there!” “Not my fault! I got caught up in the moment! I’m really a good man!”

Whatever. Low class. The one and only thing I actually agree with dumpsterfire on…his followers are mindless, low rent, uneducated and unable to critically think anything through. Always blaming others for their own behavior.

      • Tekapo February 3, 2021 at 2:06 am #

        “Whatever. Low class.”

I really think that’s the wrong approach. I didn’t like Donald Trump one bit (for lots of reasons), and I’m not a fan of Joe Biden at all (for lots of reasons), but I think it’s totally misguided for anti-Trumpers to write off MAGA supporters as knuckle-dragging mouth-breathers who can barely pay rent in the trailer park.

The whole point about Trump’s success in 2016 (and his serious following ever since) was his skill at speaking to the really disaffected and dispossessed working class and lower-middle class – people who ought to have voted for Clinton but did not.

Trump was 99% bullshit – but he was pretty good at it.

If the Biden-Harris administration is going to have a successful four years, they really need to understand and respond to the very genuine needs and problems of the 70 million who voted for Trump on Nov 3 – and still support the guy.

If they don’t do it they will be failures, both in terms of working “for America”, and also in terms of any re-election aspirations. Aiming for a minimum pay rise, and supporting Obamacare – are not a bad start.

        • Redneck Liberal February 3, 2021 at 4:11 am #

Tekapo, it was Trump himself who called them “low class” just before he threw them under the bus.

          • MrMangoOnMyShoulder February 3, 2021 at 10:12 am #

Pointing out that that behavior was not the intent of the rally and then telling them to go home peacefully after it escalated was not “throwing them under the bus”. He probably saved many people from injury and jail.

Imagine the potential escalation if he had actually said differently. Which, of course is what the establishment was really hoping and praying for.

But instead they got just enough of a riot to then censor the actual footage of the events and his speech to then outrageously claim Pearl Harbor status. And then making it an un-challengable opinion for all time. Quite lame.

            ‘Quite lame’ – MrMango

If it has all been viciously misrepresented as so many around here claim, why are so many of those “peaceful tourists” using Trump’s geeing them up for weeks, even months, as their only (and useless) defense?

It’s stunningly ignorant to paint all Trump supporters as ‘deplorables’ and mouth-breathers and knuckle-draggers.

There were angry Green Party voters who are anything but stupid, voting for Trump. Why? Biden is a horror and the Democrat party wants to usher in draconian new totalitarian measures, force mask us, endless lockdown, continue burning down cities with its Antifa SS, etc.

Trump didn’t start any wars. My anti-war friends on the left voted for him because of that. These are highly educated and informed people, on top of the issues of the day.

It’s seriously glaringly ignorant to paint all Trump supporters with one brush.

Unlike our host, I believe the gamestop stuff is another hoax to let the stockmarkets and assorted stuff (*pensions*) slide and blame it on the white financial terrorists.

For those interested in trying a bird’s view:

1.Chinese have all their feativals clustered around Feb/March. Being recently poor, it is considers bad to spend unnecessarily. Thus most will work like dogs, and only spend on the month of the Chinese New Year.

2.Chinese are easily scared of epidemics.

Last year, they couldn’t spend their saved money. Just after the festival period passed, China said the virus was totally eradicated and thus all can go to work like dogs again.

Now, virus is raging again. No need to spend any of their money! I am sure China will be super efficient in eradicating the virus by middle of March.

Next year, the evil outsiders will send another virus wave.

In 2030, instead of buying red money-papers to burn to their ancestors, the Chinese can burn the real stuff they had been hoarding.

Summary: Even andrew anglin is getting it wrong about an incoming US-China war. There is a conspiracy, born of necessity. The necessity to survive the end of the black juice and the utter failure of the solar dream.

The middle class is destroyed everywhere because it cannot continue. The nobles, of course, will always exist.

Maybe RE: your last sentence. But, I don’t think the end of fossil fuels is all that near.

More likely is that the Great Reset is largely about debt. Everything is overleveraged, the US is trillions in debt.

A reset provides a convenient way to cancel it all out; destroy the middle class and buy up cheap property and the means of production in order to usher in neo-feudalism; impose medical tyranny to control who gets what and who goes where (as with the social credit score in China); and to continue the march toward a government that is increasingly centralized at the global level. The result? Control.

The faux pandemic is the perfect tool with which to usher in the change, as anyone who questions it can be pushed out of society either via social pressure or by force.

“You fail to acknowledge the obvious institutional roadblocks that were put up to stop any serious investigation from proceeding.”

Yes – I am the first to concede that I find it deeply puzzling that – given at least some prima facie evidence in various places – that Team Trump couldn’t make anything whatsoever stick.

And let’s never forget, the majority of states, and the majority of the critical swing states, had Republican officials deep into the election process. All of them bar Nevada.

The only conclusion that makes sense is that there was a deep anti-Trump bias among Republicans everywhere. Joe Biden and the Democrats didn’t have to do anything … they just had to take the win gracefully.

Meanwhile, I have no difficulty with the Democrats holding the impeachment trial after Donald Trump has left office (and let’s recall the impeachment itself occurred while Trump was still in office).

The purpose is of course political – but also to see if enough Republicans wish to bar Trump from running again.

I think the Republicans have a really big problem they need to solve pretty quickly – are they going to keep Trump to pacify the base, or are they going to turf him out, and start again. Tricky.

Hey Puck you used to have a lot to say about Pete Buttgieg and his husband Chasten. I saw clips of Buttgigs appearance on The View, the women were swooning, almost appeared they were about to drop to their knees in front of Mayor Pete, and every time Chasten’s name was mentioned a roar of approval went up with the audience. Bittgieg stated he plans on introducing Social Justice, Equity, and Climate Justice into the Dept of Transportation. I’m not sure how this guy is qualified to be Secy of Transportation other than having spent nights in truckstops.

Kathy Boockvar, the Secretary of State in Pennsylvania who was a major component of the election scam and theft strategy has resigned from her post after she failed to advertise an amendment to the state’s constitution which would extend the statute of limitations for child sex abuse victims to file actions in civil court against their abusers. Wow! Seriously? I mean, I guess its a total coicindence that someone who knew every move to make to ensure the election outcome in PA was DNCglobally compliant just didn’t have the wherewithal to remember that it was required that this constitutional amendment be advertised prior to the election to start the process of getting the amendment on the ballot. In looking into just the surface of Boockvar’s professional history and associations it appears she is a minion of the Rothschilds and Soros and is on board with the reset. Some people even say she has more direct connections to human trafficking and has advocated for depopulation. I can’t confirm that but it would be worth investigating.

      • SoftStarLight February 3, 2021 at 3:54 am #

Ah! It gets even more interesting. So she apparently caught herself. Well, the agency realized about a week ago that through “human error” the process had essentially fallen through the cracks. So being a conscientious professional she prooffered her resignation of course with an unofficial twitter statement about how accountability and leadership are cornerstones of public service. The PA AG and victims rights advocates say this was routine procedure that shouldn’t have been missed and that this is a major setback for victims. It looks like lots of outlets covered it but I was reading this article.

Hard to conclude that this isn’t the point. The economic damage alone only makes sense if it is meant to be this way. Couple that with the transition to a digital world, and I would say there can be almost no doubt that it is on purpose.

Millions of people are being left hung out to dry, and there is very little in the way of jobs or economic stimuli to replace what is being taken or support what is failing.

Well, malt ass, let me inform you:

Joseph is the Jewish guy that invented the Hebrew alphabet, of which a corrupt backwards derivative you use today to read this text.

David is the half Jewish guy from Median, and later King of the Jews, who beat a fully armored and metal clad giant champion Greek warrior, a human tank, with a simple stone he got from a nearby creek.

Judah the Maccabee, was a Jewish freedom fighter and first warrior to employ guerrilla warfare against a professional army. He beat the army of the Greek Empire, and made obsolete the until then unbeatable Greek Phalanx military formation. Hanukkah is celebrated in his honor and victory.

They could at least lay their cards on the table openly.

“[…] the presenters had received decent geology educations from legitimate institutions. Geologically, they could talk the talk and walk the walk. But why? What is the point of giving a talk on marine strata in the late Cretaceous, as Marcus Ross of Liberty University, a Christian college in Lynchburg, Virginia, did, when you actually think the Earth is only a few thousand years old?

“The point is to be able to claim legitimacy. Creationists have used their participation in conferences to argue that their ideas are taken seriously by real scientists.”

So, what do you think of them giving lectures on stuff that roundly contradicts their own beliefs? Wouldn’t it be more honest just to hold their own conferences?

I hear this claim over and over about Christians thinking the world is only 5,000 years old.
Two points no rational human believes this means literally 5,000 human years ie 1,825,000 days @a 24 hour solar transit of the earth around our wonderful SUN.

Second point if there is a God then a day to him could be a billion or more years to us notice our own perception of time shortens as we grow older.

        • akmofo February 3, 2021 at 12:36 pm #

There’s no scientific method that can date anything accurately. We existed in an open system, so even Carbon dating is extremely limited in its usefulness. Everything is relative to something else. There are very few anchor points to pin down anything.

Even cosmologically the theories are complete nonsense. We wouldn’t have spiral galaxies if the cosmos is millions and billions of years old. These spirals would long ago be worked off. If Earth and the Solar System are millions of years old, there would be no ice rings on Saturn and no giant hole (from which Venus was expelled) inside Jupiter. These would long ago be gone.

Our world is VERY young. Just a few thousands of years old. Anyone that tells you different, is a complete bullshitter working off and regurgitating false assumptions originating in Satanic agendas.

          • GreenAlba February 3, 2021 at 12:42 pm #

Another thing to consider is genetic replication DNA mutation errors. If we existed for hundreds of thousand of years, as the scientific mafia would have you believe, our DNA code would have been so full of mutation errors and defects, that none of us would be here alive today. The mutation error rate of change in our DNA code simply does not allow for that kind of insane age which they ascribe to our species.

‘Christians’ don’t generally believe the world is 5000 years old.

But Steve Austin and a bunch of other like-minded geologists who specifically teach at Creationist colleges believe it is.

And that’s fine – whatever floats their boat – but they should run their own conferences, and not join mainstream geological conferences purely to claim they’re taken seriously when they’re not.

And when they run field courses, they should be up front about what they’re selling.

          That’s all.

          • akmofo February 3, 2021 at 12:50 pm #

I’ll ask again, Vatican Inquisitor, is there anything specific in the presentation YOU want to argue against?

“But Steve Austin and a bunch of other like-minded geologists who specifically teach at Creationist colleges believe it is.”

I doubt even that – they teach what their paymasters want.

Reminds me of the old joke about a biology teacher who turns up at a deep-south college for a job interview. He is asked if he is a Creationist or a Darwinian.

He replies, “Whatever you want, I can teach both.”

Making the planet “without form and void” was a result of a great catastrophe. Restoring the flora and fauna and the introduction of “awdawm” [ man ] was a simple process easily completed as described by Moses.

Trying to figure out why Hunter Biden as given $3 million cash by the Mayor of Moscows wife. Turns out she has some pretty hot daughters, one, Anna, especially so. So maybe it was a sort of dowry, like in European states in medieval times, for example, when Anne of Aquitaine married one of Edward 1 sons, creating the House of Plantagenet (leading to the 100 years war) You can bet that marriage came with a pretty sweet dowry. Hunter marrying a Russian Princess would link the House of Biden and Moscow Royalty. But it looks like Hunter grabbed the cash and made a mad dash; he was having none of it, instead knocked up a stripper in DC. Not good for international relations, if it were 700 years ago there’s be a war over this. Anna ends up in tears at the alter, Hunter ends up with plenty of schwag, enough to drive around LA in a Porsche and rent a mansion in the Hollywood Hills. And you can bet your ass that mansion comes with plenty of Tail, Russian, Chinese, Ukranian, you name it.

As usual, not a word about the Black gangs roaming the South, burning, looting, killing, and raping. Just like today, not a word about Antifa/BLM burning our cities and toppling our statues.

    We’re all Southerners now.

“Not a word”? Not even on OANN and Newsmax? Strange…

      • Yohannon February 3, 2021 at 12:54 pm #

Yeah, they think the Communist, MLK, was a great Conservative. How’s that for deluded?

        • Redneck Liberal February 3, 2021 at 1:00 pm #

Huh? You mean OANN & Newsmax have already lost their way? Is there no hope?

          • Yohannon February 3, 2021 at 1:07 pm #

Little. People like you are in charge now. It’s terrifying. Imagine yourself in charge of anything, right?

          • Redneck Liberal February 3, 2021 at 1:23 pm #

Lol. ‘People like you … ‘ whereas you’d rather have ‘people like YOU…’

That author refers to the “far right,” something you claim you deplore.

Yet Wikipedia refers to the author of this site as far right.

            Yet here you are.

You have given much Nazi/Dicatator foil over the years, so tell us, is the owner of this site a Nazi, Maj?

            Be honest now.

          • Night Owl February 3, 2021 at 3:53 pm #

For the uninitiated and to avoid Maj sneaking off on this most-pertinent question, this post is for Maj/Redneck Liberal.

            Be honest with us, now.

            @no

            You expect honesty?
HAH that fool will never answer honestly doing so will get it bounced for what the fourth or fifth time?

The only person claiming to have ever seen the ‘far-right’ smear on Wikipedia is you, Herr Troll. I’ve not seen it.

I’d also state that not all Trump supporters are “far-right” as I’d define it, but it might be useful to see how you define the term.

Here’s the Wikipedia entry (which I posted a couple of weeks ago when you first tried this gaslighting effort). No mention of ‘far-right’ but an accurate description of how JHK viewed – at least until 2017 – the GOP. Has he since recanted on that quoted criticism (highlighted), which is pretty damning?

“Kunstler is a harsh critic of both the Republican Party, describing them as “a gang of hypocritical, pietistic sadists, seeking pleasure in the suffering of others while pretending to be Christians, devoid of sympathy, empathy, or any inclination to simple human kindness, constant breakers of the Golden Rule, enemies of the common good.“[5] and also the Democratic Party and their “underhanded attempts” to get rid of Donald Trump, a man whom Kunstler sees as showing “strength”.[6] He was also a promoter of the concept of a so-called “deep state” working to overthrow and thwart Trump.[7] He endorsed Trump for re-election and declared that he intended to do “everything he can to prevent the Democrats from winning the election.”[8]

In an interview with American Conservative, Kunstler attacked gay marriage, describing it as “cultural mischief” that would further damage “a struggling institution”.[9] He is a subscriber to the conspiracy theory that the 2020 United States presidential election was fraudulent, describing it as a “fraud-inflected election” on his website, and he suggests that the 2021 storming of the United States Capitol was the work of left-wing groups.

That last sentence is new and clearly accurate. You and he share the same brand of tinfoil, is all.

          • Night Owl February 3, 2021 at 5:31 pm #

We discussed this weeks ago, and JHK knows about the entry. It was deleted from the main entry, but remained on the sidebar in the search on google/duckduckgo.

You are on what your media described as a far-right website.

And most of your posts are out of sync with what our host posts.

You are free to answer the question at any time.

“And most of your posts are out of sync with what our host posts.”

Somewhat like yours on the Great Reset, which takes up so much space in your brain. Or as our host calls it, the ‘so-called great reset’, along with the ‘reset fantasy’, with you coming under the category of those ‘blabbering about “the Great Reset”’.

By the way, you should look up the word ‘impeccable’. Maybe in that dictionary of ‘American idiom’ you carry around with you everywhere.

            Narc Troll

It must be my low IQ & small brain, but I STILL can’t see this hallowed reference to “far-right” on the WBM page you linked to. It doesn’t look any different from the current Wiki entry.

            However, that’s beside the point.

What you really want is for me to criticize JHK in some offensive manner. I’m not buying into that game, Trolley-Boy.

Like many others, I have been reading JHK’s blog since at least 2006 and have read – purchased, not borrowed – much of his writing, both novels & non-fiction works, including the most recent “Living in the Long Emergency”, having started the journey through his thinking with “TLE”. (I think Michael Ruppert’s work may have directed me to him originally.)

I have enjoyed it all and can see precisely where he’s coming from, though I don’t agree with all his prognostications. The current political position he holds has no appeal for me, though I do agree with his assessment of the US ‘right-wing’ political party – the GOP – as posted on the Wiki page.

Not agreeing with someone doesn’t mean there should be no dialog, does it? JHK doesn’t name call or denigrate me and I certainly don’t name call or denigrate him either. Unlike you, who seems to do little else but trawl the blog comments to single out certain posters and start gaslighting them. However, you’re not very good at it, because you’re on a single rutted track. Change up your game, man!

If you REALLY want to understand my politics (not that you do, because then you’d lose what you see as an easy target), go read some work by the late, great Joe Bageant.

He’s as excellent a wordsmith as JHK (he’s, possibly, even better, but that’s entirely subjective) and he had as jaundiced a view as me with regard to the current state of the US society and politics.

He died in 2011 and much of his writing is from the early Noughties, so, politically it’s a bit too Bush/Iraq for current tastes. But his main gripe was the utter nastiness of the ‘class divide’ in America. Here’s a sample:

“They [his ‘redneck’ family & friends] are purposefully held in bondage by a local network of money families, bankers, developers, lawyers, and businesspeople in whose interests it is to have a cheap, unquestioning, and compliant labor force paying high rents and big medical bills. They invest in developing such a labor force by not investing in the education and quality of life for anyone but their own.

(And from a review in CJR)

Working-class Americans, Bageant wrote sardonically in his second and final book, Rainbow Pie: A Redneck Memoir, were “clubbed into submission long ago, and now require only enough medication for our high levels of cholesterol, enough alcohol to keep the sludge moving through our arteries, and a 24/7 mind-numbing spectacle of titties, tabloid TV, and terrorist dramas. Throw in a couple of new flavors of XXL edible thongs, and you’ve got a nation of drowsing hippos who will never notice that our country has been looted.”

            https://archives.cjr.org/review/the_cheap_seats.php

God knows, he’d likely have supported Trump’s VIEWS but never the MAN that Trump is, of that I’m certain. Through a series of email conversations with him in his last couple of years, I’m confident that’s correct.

Here’s a link to a bunch of his essays, curated by his brother, for the education of posterity. This one – “Poor, White and Pissed” is from 2005, but the facts inherent in what he says have not changed much. If anything, things have gotten worse.

Good catch…Trolley-Boy seems to think he’s highly admired by, well…everyone, of course, but especially by JHK, given the amount of nastiness he gets away with.

            Maj/Redneck,

It is literally in the first line.

“James Howard Kunstler (born October 19, 1948) is a far-right[1] American author, social critic, public speaker, and blogger. He is best known for his books The Geography of Nowhere (1994), a history of American suburbia and urban development, The Long Emergency (2005), and Too Much Magic (2012). In The Long Emergency he imagines peak oil and oil depletion resulting in the end of industrialized society, forcing Americans to live in smaller-scale, localized, agrarian (or semi-agrarian) communities. In World Made by Hand he branches into a science fiction depiction of this future world.”

It would appear you are so emotional, that your reading comprehension is poorer than normal.

I wonder what your new handle will be in the near future?

BTW, is our host a Nazi? Is this a far-right blog?

Feel free to answer in your own time.

          • Redneck Liberal February 4, 2021 at 5:44 am #

From the link you posted, first line:

’ James Howard Kunstler (born October 19, 1948) is a far-right[1] American author, social critic, public speaker, and blogger. He is best…

I suggest you check your source.

It literally says far-right, right in the first line.

            Are you mentally retarded?

      • MaryV February 3, 2021 at 1:17 pm #

Andy Ngo reports them on Twitter. I hardly see them elsewhere. This is why Andy is attacked relentlessly by Antifa goons.

        • Night Owl February 3, 2021 at 3:18 pm #

Wait now, I heard Vietnamese Andy Ngo was a Nazi.

Surely there must be some mistake.

Perhaps he was going to be Trump’s Education Czar in the White Ethnostate.

          Ask Maj/Redneck for details.

          • BackRowHeckler February 3, 2021 at 3:24 pm #

            Vietnamese, yes.

            And also gay.

Right now Andy Ngo is hiding out in London while his book is released. Antifa has murder squads out to assassinate him, much like Stalin dispatched executioners to do away with Trotsky.

          • Redneck Liberal February 3, 2021 at 7:10 pm #

            “I heard…”

Yeah, you always say that when you’re making shit up, Trolley-Boy.

          • Night Owl February 4, 2021 at 3:34 am #

Perhaps we should check the Waybackmachine, Maj?

That big steamroller is comin’ again.

            LOL.

          • MaryV February 4, 2021 at 6:25 pm #

Vietnamese immigrant, and gay. He should be ticking 2 legitimacy boxes off for the wokies but yet they hate him because he considers himself to be a conservative.

And he’s braver than the lot of them. They’ve put him in the hospital, and he came right back out and got back into reporting them. At this point, all he has to do is put up a video – the stories write themselves. The mugshots, too. It’s nice to know at least some of them get arrested.

      • rube-i-con February 3, 2021 at 2:11 pm #

mildly amusing that leftists out here need to come to a conservative site to avail themselves of their freedom of speech

naturally, this does not cause them to question their own lust to silence dissenting opinions

        • benr February 3, 2021 at 4:53 pm #

          Of course not.
MSNBC was one of the first to close the comments section.
Was a total shitshow of progressive morons attempting to defend the ridiculous nonsense articles from that site.
