Speaking of the inauguration, I don’t know what was more peculiar: Lady Gaga sweeping out onto the capitol dais in Hunger Games drag —and I mean but exactly, down to the golden mockingjay pinned above her left breast — or Garth Brooks post-hymn dash to the exit as though he just heard the repo man was coming for his Gulfstream jet parked across the Potomac at Reagan National Airport.

The immense field of ranked American flags deployed silently down the mall in place of annoying US citizens lent a funereal vibe to the proceedings (as in the death of your country), while the thousands of massed national guard troops signaled the paranoia crackling under the surface as Ol’ White Joe Biden stepped forward to commence his party’s punishments against the unWoke (disguised as a call for “unity”). He was surrounded by a virtual wax museum of Deep Staters salivating for the upcoming blood-feast: The Obamas, Hillary and Bill (nodding off), Nancy, Chuck, Mitch… but just who was the Asian chap sitting behind the man-of-the-hour? Secret Service? Or his new minder (courtesy of Uncle Xi)?

As for Mr. Trump, he departed as he had arrived in 2016: stridently contemptuous toward the parasitical oligarchy that finally expelled him like a bladder-stone. The threatened impeachment trial will be a marvel of casuistry — a procedure for removing someone from office who is no longer in office — and also for the transparently flimsy charge of “inciting the insurrection” at the capitol. As if to underscore the absurdity of that, Antifa squads rioted in Portland and Seattle on inauguration night. Their banners expressed less-than-jubilant sentiment for the new regime. The Portland outfit broke windows and spray-painted the city’s Democratic headquarters, faking-out pols who had warned against an uprising of “white supremacists.” Of course, all those arrested would be promptly released without charges — demonstrating just how serious the Wokester officials running those cities really are about criminal anarchy. The grannies swept into the capitol rotunda by Antifa incursionists January 6th won’t be so lucky.

Neither did a much chattered-about military takeover happen during the tension-filled transition hours, though kibitzers on the web insist days later that it remains secretly underway. On his way out, Mr. Trump failed to pardon either Julian Assange or Edward Snowden, a disturbing failure, while he commuted the sentences of a couple of two-bit rap-stars, based on their contributions to advancing human dignity. And whatever Mr. Trump finally rooted out in the way of declassified FBI documents has already disappeared into the DC quicksand.

Much adored as he is for valiantly opposing everything swampish, it might be best now for Mr. Trump to just retire from the political scene and leave the battle to others. He made his point, colorfully and often bravely, considering the astounding bad faith of his adversaries, though he certainly could have articulated the stakes better and with more decorum. He leaves not merely a vacuum but a sucking chest wound of leadership opposing hysterical and tyrannical Wokery. Who will step forward in his absence? Probably someone we haven’t heard from yet. That’s how these things work.

The narrative instructs us that the election is resolved — so shut up about it already. But the election is not resolved. Enterprising gumshoes will be sifting through the evidence, interviewing witnesses, and combing through the thickets of fraud for a long time to come. Crime will be outed, if not prosecuted. Mr. Biden moves under a cloud of illegitimacy. Beyond the lingering election dispute lies all that evidence about the Biden family’s money-grubbing operations in foreign lands, clear down to the money-laundering records. Think that won’t bite eventually?

Nothing else is resolved about the national drift toward the Niagara of woe just downstream of here. Mr. Biden couldn’t have asked for trouble more loudly on Day One than by shutting down deportations of foreign nationals here illegally and signaling an open borders policy. The legions of newly unemployed and financially ruined US small business owners and workers may take a dim view of that. Rent and mortgage moratoria are extended as far ahead as June, as if landlords and mortgage-lenders don’t need to be paid to keep the banking system running. The new president has promised further, and even more severe, Covid-19 lockdowns. The Democratic Party apparently wants to utterly destroy what’s left of the real on-the-ground economy. No incoming US president has gotten off to a more feckless and ill-fated start.

        @pyrrus

Buyer’s remorse is already setting in amongst the millions of deluded Democrat voters who pulled the lever in the voting booth solely for the purpose of ejecting the Bad Orange Man from the White House.

Their votes were driven by nothing more sophisticated than a blind, unreasoning, raging hatred fed by 5 years of non-stop “Hate Trump” propaganda being broadcast 24/7 by the fake news media empires.

I doubt that more than 5% of the Biden vote was cast by citizens who truly believed in their hearts that Uncle Joe was the best candidate for the job.

For this reason, (and the fact that he actually lost the election, which had to be re-jiggered and stolen over the few days that followed Election Day), Mr. Biden has been installed by the Trump-hating Swamp as our new Usurper-In-Chief………but he has no mandate to govern. Zero.

McConnell and the Senate GOP will end up in a power sharing arrangement with Schumer’s Dems and axing any effort to end the filibuster rule will be the cost of getting to a newly agreed set of Senate rules that actually allows the Dems to try to move forward, somewhat, as a barely governing “majority.”

As a result, the GOP Senators will be able to throw lots of sand in the gears of the Democrat governing machine and prevent any legislation from passing that is not sufficiently amended and watered down until it is a concoction they can stand to imbibe.

The Hard Left will soon be in full revolt and Antifa and BLM will return to burning down the cities and Biden will look feeble as hell for doing nothing to stop it.

Within 6 to 12 months the Usurper and Vice Prez Schlong Slurper will be the lamest of lame ducks awaiting slaughter in the 2022 mid-term elections. Trump will be making trouble from his Southern White House of Mar-A-Lago, driving the Dems wild with rage because the GGG just-won’t-go-away. (LOL!)

The GOP will subsequently sweep to control both houses of Congress and by 2023 Biden will be under impeachment……but not with the intent to remove him, but only with the intent to embarrass and humiliate and discredit him and his token multiculti affirmative action sidekick. Oh, and also for the sake of some well-earned payback for Nancy’s dual bogus impeachment’s of Trump.

So, stock up on the popcorn and sodas. It is going to be an entertaining ride.

C’mon mannnnnn. The “usurper” and “schlong slurper” are now our great leaders. Usurper and sunny boi are gonna finish the china hustle and raise our taxes whilst they fleece both countries. The dipsh*t VP is pole dancing and smoking boo in the white house. Reminds me of when as a young lad I was watching a parade with tears in my eyes. A police officer stopped and asked me what I needed and I replied “Freedom”. Oh wait…has that phrase been used? Oh, how’s about; I actually I graduated from college with 13 degrees and was number 1 in the my class 18 times? Ole willie brown must be heading east for a rendezvous.

that is secret service agent David Cho. he is korean american. he was also in the secret service under the Trump administration.

I can see the track of Kunstler’s thoughts have steered away from things like good development patterns and economic policies.

    • bluedog January 22, 2021 at 8:39 pm #

Is it? As the Trump supporters fade into the evening shadows like a to early mist, it’s all over except the shouting now everyone can go home until the next circus comes to town in another four years, why they already are working on their slogans after all its slogans that count not the monkey behind them.!!!!

    • Perimetr January 23, 2021 at 4:47 am #

Admit it, Mr. Kunstler, you were one of the “kibitzers on the web” who encouraged the idea that Trump was going to take some major action against the felons who rigged the elections and those who make sure the public never was informed about it. I can’t really fault you for that, since I held the same hope in my heart. But I had expected some form of a mea culpa coming from you, not some rather insincere dismissal of others who continued on with the same talk post-inauguration.

Trump at best was disruptive to globalist plans, but he truly failed to “drain the swamp” lol. It took him 3 whole weeks to fire General Flynn and then appoint one neocon after another, along with a variety of handmaidens that continued to do the bidding of all those who opposed him.

All the talk about restoring normal relations with Russia and who did Trump appoint? Bolton. Russiagate was created on orders of Obama and Brennan and instigated through the FBI, all quite seditious acts that went unpunished and unprotected. Anyone remember those “50,000 sealed indictments” that never saw the light of day? Apparently Mr. Barr used them to heat his house this winter.

Even during the last days as President, Trump went along with pulling the rug out from under Sidney Powell by allowing his advisors to announce that she “was not part of the team”. It wasn’t 4D chess, it was the Keystone Cops, a complete inability to stick with a plan and back the people necessary to carry it out

It was so inept that it made me wonder if all was actually part of some divide and conquer strategy designed to tear America completely apart at the seams, leaving the “deplorables’ twisting in the wind and the nation on the verge of civil war. Frank Zappa said that politics is the entertainment division of the military-industrial complex . . . maybe that should be expanded to include a number of other deep state factions but you get the idea.

It does seem that tens of millions of Americans now finally see that the media puts out propaganda rather than news and that anyone opposing the system has little or no representation in Congress, the White House, or the Courts. But is there any sort of leadership capable of channeling this enormous discontent into something other than chaos fueled by a disintegrating economy? If so, how can they effusively operate when free speech is not permitted, when even getting together with your family at Christmas is forbidden ‘for the public safety’ lol.

America has become a totalitarian security state. Corporate fascism rules the day in a much more efficient manner than even Orwell imagined.

Have a nice day, do you have any symptoms? Stay safe. LOL

      • Perimetr January 23, 2021 at 4:55 am #

autocorrect strikes again, I meant to typer “effectively operate”, not “effusively operate”. lol

      • ThorsHammer January 23, 2021 at 10:23 am #

        Perimetr

Couldn’t have said if better myself if I tried!

I for one tired months ago of JK’s endless pontificating about how the American Legal System was going to grow a pair and somehow search for justice instead of the bribes and politicking that have always been it’s guiding principles.

And the idea that a pompous narcissist and self-promoting salesman like the Orange Tweeter was a revolutionary who was going to Drain The Swamp___ silly beyond belief. Did he appoint a single cabinet member or advisor who wasn’t a swamp creature? Well, in retrospect that is understandable because in the DC swamp there are only fetid swamp creatures to choose from.

The Tweeter’s final act as president is symbolic of his pathetic failure as a leader and a human being. Passing out pardons to a random collection of grifters and criminals while leaving the two true heroes of our generation— Assange and Snowden adrift in the Gulag.

So now we have a virtual reality image as Figurehead President, the perfect symbol for the Orwellian future that our collapsing Empire deserves.

      • hmuller January 23, 2021 at 10:24 am #

I’ve shared those thoughts for about 12 years now. People considered me crazy. I think more and more people are awakening and seeing our true situation now that the evil ones are fully in charge.

  2. BackRowHeckler January 22, 2021 at 10:06 am #

I think the Chinese dude standing behind the President could be Xi Jingping’s personal emissary, keeping watch over Joe, making sure he follows the script and if he doesn’t, report any deviations back to Beijing.

Then there will be hell to pay.

    • kwyjibo January 22, 2021 at 10:39 am #

A simple google search will uncover that the Asian gentleman is David Cho, a Korean-American who will head Biden’s Secret Service.

“Cho also served under former President Donald Trump. While serving on Trump’s detail, Cho worked his way up to second-in-command of the protective detail, according to The Washington Post. He was awarded Department of Homeland Security’s gold medal for exceptional service in 2019 for his work negotiating appropriate security for former President Trump on his visit to North Korea.”

      https://asamnews.com/2021/01/20/biden-picks-aapi-special-agent-to-lead-security-detail/

But spinning the Chinese lie is more fun, I suppose.

Hard to believe Kunstler sank to spotting and pointing out an asian face, didn’t bother to research who that person might be, and went straight for: “could he be a CHINESE AGENT?!!?”

I guess when the QAnon-type fantasies don’t pan out, something has to take their place.

I’ve wondered about the sourcing of some of the things he throws out here, and things like this make it seem like much of it is an overheated imagination.

We’ve just been through four years of relentless anti-Russia propaganda. Now let’s not climb on board an equally baseless anti-China campaign. Since ‘Islamic Terrror’ has lost its galvanizing potential, the oligarchs and archons have decided a great power enemy is better for whipping up paranoia and keeping the herd cowed. If you’re going to run a protection racket that people willingly pay up for, you need a threat the rubes will find credible. The Axis of Belt and Road fits the bill marvellously, as Iran is a founding member and ‘Gasses His Own People’ (but really didnt’) Syria can also be found on the list. Cry Havoc and release the drones.

          • hmuller January 23, 2021 at 10:37 am #

            “baseless anti-China campaign”

That the Bidens received shitloads of money from China is proven by records in Hunter’s own laptop computer. Too bad all that crack smoking made him forget where he left it. LOL

I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed but it doesn’t take too much intelligence to figure out that reality will soon expose Biden and his cronies as the incompetent frauds they are. Even that eternal optimist Warren Buffet is predicting a stock market crash of epic proportions followed by an economic depression worse than the 1930s.

Quite. The Indians have always considered the United States illegitimate. Who cared? They didn’t matter. We’re the Indians now.

Great summary. As mentioned in the last entry, the images of an empty mall surrounded by 25k troops, fencing, and razor wire will never go away.

We have crossed the rubicon. There are some who still have hope that this fiasco can be turned around, but at this point, I don’t see how. The corruption runs far deeper than even the most politically jaded could have predicted.

FWIW, a local shop owner said Hornady is telling gun dealers that ammunition will be extremely hard to get for at least four more years. OTOH, a retiree I worked with says guns and ammo are plentiful in Florida. Probably another difference between Cuomo and DeSantis.

Not until we see the field with clear eyes, have complete situational awareness, and a strategy and game plan. Sadly, President Trump only had the first.

They murdered a US President and his Attorney General brother in broad daylight, and then managed to silence all the witnesses and everyone involved, while concocting a stupefying false narrative of the events.

In broad daylight they destroyed three New York skyscrapers containing the paper trail of their criminality and the trillions stolen. And again they managed to silence all the witnesses and everyone involved, while concocting a stupefying false narrative of the events.

Think of the power it takes to do that: to silence the investigators to silence the prosecutors to silence the judges to silence all the media to silence the witnesses, control all the gov mafia agencies and institutions, and then produce such a stupefying false narrative of the events that it would drive any sane person insane with its wickedness.

That’s the Vatican/CIA mafia for you. They are EVERYWHERE and they control your FAKE NEWS global reality.

President Trump served his purpose. He opened many people’s eyes. He created an army. He lit the spark of defiance and informed opposition. This will take many players to right. President Trump was a good start.

We all have skin in the game – despite the fact that we are constantly being skinned.

If someone plans to go up against the State/Deep State/ Establishment then he/she/it had better be prepared to get skinned alive too – then killed and slandered. A warriors job no doubt.

The real problem though are our dimwitted fellow citizens who accept it all and can be manipulated like Pavlov’s dogs.

Particularly galling to me are the “conspiracy theory debunkers” and boosters of the “scientific method” (who have not the faintest idea about science).

If there are no conspiracies why is everything secret and FOI requested documents are mostly black?

Just recently I read about the newly agreed upon trade agreement between the EU and China the provisions of which are highly secret.

Where there is secrecy, there is a conspiracy.

Re, “Where there is secrecy, there is a conspiracy.” Sometimes. But there are many, many circumstances where secrecy does not denote a conspiracy in the background. What’s required in situations where a conspiracy is suspected is an investigation; if an investigation returns no evidence of a conspiracy. Remember, a conspiracy is a legal term with an exact definition. So does the word ‘theory’. The two terms probably don’t belong in the same sentence together.
A ‘conspiracy theory’? Show me your proof!

I mean, seriously, you post the same tin foil hat drivel every week.

Do you work in the advertising industry? I’m curious because you appear to be a true believer in the repetition technique, first patented by Herr Goebbels and his merry little band of propagandists.

            Sad Wiz,

You’ve been emotionally trained to dismiss what they want you to dismiss, and be completely blind to it. They have made the truth so outrageous and fantastic to you, that it’s inconceivable to your propagandized mind, which was schooled in ignorance and deceit, that the truth could actually be so “outrageous and fantastic”.

There are plenty of history books and other sources that reveal what the Vatican/CIA mafia wants to be concealed. You will not search them out or read them, because you can’t. Not because you can’t read and can’t do a search, but because you’ve been emotionally programmed not to. And that’s how propaganda works.

    • draupnir January 22, 2021 at 11:18 am #

Under a little remembered military code put in place during the McCarthy era, when it was feared that a foreign and unfriendly entity would take control of our government from within, the military was given the duty to remove a belligerent government and take over government functions until a new civilian government can be installed with elections under military supervision. This would not be a military coup, though I think that would be preferable to what Biden and the Liberals have planned for us. There is proof that Biden took bribes from the Ukraine and China and is beholden to those nations at the very least. There is ample evidence that the election was stolen by the Democrats. The military has that evidence. For the first time in history, Biden was not provided with government transportation to attend his inauguration. Hardly anyone attended the inauguration. Only about 350,000 even watched it on cable. Many of the national guard turned their backs on him as he left the site of the inauguration in his car. DC looks more like a military camp than our capital. Biden had to accept inauguration for the crime to be complete.

      • Yohannon January 22, 2021 at 1:02 pm #

He doesn’t trust the National Guard so he hired his own security company. Is transportation part of that? But definitely yes on the second point: many of the Guard turned their backs on him.

I hope you are right. The best evidence is from two days or so ago: the Pentagon refused to share info with the Biden administration.

        • draupnir January 22, 2021 at 1:46 pm #

        • draupnir January 22, 2021 at 1:59 pm #

Michael – You don’t think they expect some return on their investment? There is also evidence that China interfered directly in our election. I was married to a man who was career military. I don’t believe for a moment that the military is going to meekly bend over for a Communist takeover. I hear there are Chinese troops in Canada and Mexico and Xi recently put the PLA on a war footing and told them to be ready on a moment’s notice. These are dangerous times and I think there may be blood.

You are not seeing this right: because of bribes already received he is not beholden to anyone. He is beholden to only those from whom he wishes to receive further bribes.

Yeah if you are ready to be ruled by the drug cartels. I was talking to a Mexican at a childs birthday party last weekend. His family is here legally and runs a landscaping, construction business. He imports workers from Mexico (around 100 at a time) who after their allotted time here return home. He said a few always disappear instead or returning. He kept stressing the fact that the cartels run everything in Mexico. It is naive to think that they won’t be running the show here if we keep importing Mexican nationals to America. There should be a complete moratorium on all immigration. Mass deportations of all illegals, regardless of where they are from and what their occupation and excuses for coming here. When caucasians are in the minority, America as it was previously will cease to exist.

Maybe some who are born here fit in more easily. If they are all such wonderful people, why can’t they fix all the problems in their home countries instead of migrating here to escape them. America will soon be FUBAR due partly to immigration, not just hispanics, but from so many other races also. It is a proven fact that diversity doesn’t help form a cohesive society.

      • tresho January 25, 2021 at 10:42 am #

” why can’t they fix all the problems in their home countries” For many decades the USA has been the go-to place for people who gave up on fixing the problems in their own countries. Like the Pilgrim Fathers in 1620…

    Greetings,

China is playing the long game and don’t think for a moment that it doesn’t have plan for the United States in its Silk Road. We are to become peasant farmers for the Chinese – that is the goal. We will see a return to feudalism and those that stole this election believe that their masters wont dispatch with them when the time comes to divvy up the goods.

They think “useful idiot” doesn’t apply to themselves.

With certainty, though that was mainly because most didn’t have immediate access to what the proverbial blue bloods of their times were up to.

“the world was probably a better place when it was a ‘world made by hand’” Grain of truth in that. If you wanted someone dead, you made them that way ‘by hand’. Us moderns have industrial grade, fully automatic ways to kill millions in a few minutes.

          Exactly, tresho.

It does, though he really only owns about 245,000 acres of roughly 950,000,000 in the US.

He owns a shitload, but he didn’t take it all over…

I would love to be a peasant farmer at this point. I can’t stand culture or the technocratic fascism. I would rather garden, plow, reap and sow all day than be subject to the “Great Reset” bullshit.

        • MaryV January 22, 2021 at 1:43 pm #

‘Tis! I just moved to a place with a back yard so I could garden all summer. Nice big back yard! I was living in a little crackerbox in the city for way more rent. VERY glad to have decided to become a country(ish) mouse.

          • Night Owl January 22, 2021 at 4:01 pm #

Yes. We aren’t in the country per se, but we do have a decent sized back yard with a well and very good soil. We are in the process of planning just how off-grid we can get here.

            Solar panels next summer, too.

I think the saddest aspect of the Corona Hoax, Great Reset, etc. is that the vision for the future has become a whole lot clearer, and it ain’t rosy.

My dad started building a new house for us in 1954. The kids in my family all had to pitch in to build it: hauling cement blocks, mixing “mud”, sweeping up sawdust, painting drywall, shingling our low pitched roof, etc. We kids loved the feeling we got sleeping in our new bedrooms that we had, indeed, “made by hand”.

I just hear that Florida Governor DeSantis ordered the Florida National Guard back from DC.

He said that they are not Nancy Pelosi’s servants.
It took him long enough, though.

I think it was the revelation that they were being made to sleep in a parking garage that did it.

Meanwhile, the Biden family is excused from immediately violating Joe’s mask orders for federal property. It seems “celebrating” is an excuse for killing others with your bare face. Not celebrating is an excuse for gathering over Thanksgiving, but only if you are Doctor Birx.

Amazing though, how many people still believe there is something to this mask thing, despite time and again seeing with their own eyes that the people pushing it dn’t believe it themselves.

The labels on the boxes the masks come in weren’t enough, now it would appear that nothing is enough.

Friends continue to laugh at warnings that we will soon be subject to martial law, but consider this: the immense infrastructure of equipment, personnel, militarization of local police forces, and rules of engagement are all ready in place for imposing “order” by force any time, anywhere in the country on short notice. And the corporate state powers-that-be have made their intention to do so if we step out of line abundantly clear.
The fact that there is no tank, surrounded by troops with machine guns coming down my street doesn’t mean that they won’t reliably materialize if I am regarded as misbehaving. We are already living under martial law – it’s just discrete, so far.

That’s the difference. Trump merely *threatened* to invoke the Insurrection Act. All bluff and bluster, but no action last summer when he clearly would have been justified in siccing the military on BLM and Antifa.

Democrats will friggin’ do it and they won’t hesitate or think twice. They are simply waiting for an incident…..a *crisis* that cannot be allowed to go to waste, as old Raum Emmanuel was so famously quoted as saying.

      • tresho January 22, 2021 at 1:19 pm #

“people living in the 7th Century” generally are not nearly as squeamish about giving up their own lives – or even those of their loved ones – as us moderns are. And they learn very quickly. Controlling countries filled with primitive men who are quick learners generally involves killing nearly all the men – and their loved ones. See what became of native Americans after 1492.

Afghanistan is atypical. Alexander The Great took it over on his way to India. He had to leave more than half his cavalry in the place and go into _every_ valley and defeat every single mountain fortress.

Good read: “Into the Land of Bones”.

The mountains make a special breed of men.

          • tresho January 25, 2021 at 10:53 am #

“Afghanistan is atypical.” So is the USA.
For a more contemporary look at Afghan culture, view the 2001 documentary “Beneath the Veil” by Saira Shah. It is available in its entirety here: https://topdocumentaryfilms.com/dispatches-beneath-the-veil/ Saira completed this just a few months before 9/11, an amazing coincidence, if you believe in such. Her father’s novel “Kara Kush” is a loosely fictional account of the Afghan resistance to the attempted Soviet takeover which started in 1979. People familiar with both of these items would have had no difficulty understanding how the current situation in Afghanistan came to be.

The new government is a Kleptocracy, comprised of Kleptocrats. They are pretending to be socialists/communists pretending to be Democrats, but in reality they are simply power-hungry thieves. They seek to use their government positions to enrich themselves and their families. Kleptocrats don’t actually care about socialism, communism, Democracy, or other forms of government. They simply care about enriching themselves at the expense of the governed. The Hunger Games perfectly illlustrated a functioning Kleptocracy, no different that nations like Venezuala and North Korea where the government is comprised of wealthy elitists, while the people starve. Pre-Revolutionary France was governed by a Kleptocracy. Unfortunately, people are being confused by the smoke screen, exitedly telling each other the Democrats have gone to far, it’s about Socialism now, while the thieves running the show could not care less about socialism, communism, the environment, or whatever other scam they are selling, they are just busy looting.

    • Yohannon January 22, 2021 at 1:20 pm #

“they are simply power-hungry thieves. They seek to use their government positions to enrich themselves and their families. Kleptocrats don’t actually care” That is a truism, which applies to virtually every human organization / bureaucracy in human history. Bureaucrats who are not power-hungry thieves at hard are few and far between. The Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius still has a pretty good historic reputation, His son and successor Commodus soon gained a reputation for vicious brutality. Oddly the role of the father in raising the son as his heir is hardly mentioned by historians. M. Aurelius would have greatly improved the lot of Roman citizens by simply executing Commodus before he cause all that trouble.

Suppression of the Deep State should be number one plank on its platform. Our worst enemy is the Deep State.

Number two should be the primary elimination of every single cowardly RINO in Congress. Yeah, the ones that were probably the first to run into their hidey holes on the 6th. • Yohannon January 22, 2021 at 1:25 pm #

Kind of agree, but that’s not how democratic politics work. The people are simpletons who need the motif of the Returning Hero. Why not do what they did to us? Run Trump and then have him retire in favor of his Vice President?

He really doesn’t have the ideas, the Vision, or in the end, the balls. He wouldn’t even give condolences for Ashli Babbit. Just tried to save himself in the end. If the Trumps want to really help, fund the new party and set up media that will support it. If it all works, maybe sometime down the line his kids could run for office in it.

        • Blackbird January 22, 2021 at 3:46 pm #

Trump dramatically fights his way back in 2024 – then graciously steps aside in favor of Captain America? With his wealth and status he could nourish the grassroots and make a real investment in the future, but will he? Is that the Trump you remember from the last, I dunno… 40 years?

And a Trump dynasty? Surely you jest! Competence not only “skips a generation”, but once empowered it seems to skip all subsequent generations. Consider if you will, the House of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha.

For 50+ years we’ve had Democrat papers, tv, and radio news, largely Republican talk radio, and a self-absorbed citizenry that largely cares only for what it can “legitimately” steal from its neighbors via taxation, regulation, and vengeful government. Libertarians bailed on the president in large enough numbers, in some states, to swing those states to Biden.
Not that it really made a difference, Biden would just have gotten the number he needed to win, anyway.
Their repudiation of Trump and his policies isn’t going to do them any good. however.
John Brennan i promising that the Biden administration considers them a threat.
Probably because the ones who aren’t in the party for the drugs actually care about things like civil liberties and freedom.

“Former CIA Director John Brennan let the cat out of the bag during an MSNBC appearance Wednesday, saying that the Biden administration is laser-focused on rooting out “insurgency movements” in the U.S., cracking down on pernicious malefactors like (gasp!) libertarians. No, really.”

Libertarians need to shut down their own group and join in as yes, if you look at the critical states, the libertarian count added to Trump’s would have won the election.

Cleansing the new party of traitors should be a priority.

Educating the minorities about how the Marxists are screwing them in every way possible has to also take priority.

Trump will be a mentor to this new party, not its focus. I believe he has had enough of the insane asylum on the Potomac.

      JFK would join this party.

They will fumble along creating unintended havoc that they’ll try to blame on the traitor De Jure. Setting up encampments in the multiple parks inside D.C. would take two days max, with hot food, showers, racks for all. Did anyone among bidets moron posse think ahead? The Mr. Magoo Presidency

Many of you may remember Mr. Magoo as the character in an old cartoon from the 1960’s starring an elderly, wealthy, short-statured retiree who gets into a series of comical situations as a result of his extreme near-sightedness, compounded by his stubborn refusal to recognize the problems he encounters.

Joe Biden in his fog of confusion is the incarnation of Magoo. As our new President stumbles into office while inheriting an America in troubled times, Sleepy Joe will bounce from one crisis to another becoming the most inept American President in modern times. President Magoo will drag America down a “Woke Orwellian Rabbit Hole” while blurting out Radical Left talking points from an empty room.

At the end of this rabbit hole is “The Great Reset” (see the World Economic Forum’s charter). The WEF’s mantra is “Build Back Better”…. If you recall, that’s the campaign slogan that Joe, Head of the Biden Crime Family, used during the latter part of his basement mumblings.

If you want a taste of where this “Great Reset” will ultimately lead America, just read up on China’s “Social Credit System”. A comprehensive government surveillance tracking system China started in 2009 that manages the rewards, or punishments, of citizens on the basis of their economic and personal behavior.

America’s Marxist/Maoist inspired political and big business leaders are using Climate Change and more recently COVID to herd all non-compliant “Lying Dog-faced Pony Soldiers”, “Bible and Gun Clingers”, and “Deplorables” into a corporatocracy arrangement where governments are in collusion with big business controlling everything in our lives.… while grifters like the Bidens and Clintons continue to stuff their pockets.

Oh Magoo, you’ve done it again!

My state (OH) publicizes the death toll of COVID-19 in nursing homes and assisted living facilities, but oddly enough, refuses to list them by FACILITY. The last I checked (months ago) New York State refused to list the COVID-19 death toll by age group, unlike many other states. LOS ANGELES, California — Mayor Eric Garcetti announced Thursday that the City of Los Angeles would require all employees to undergo “implicit bias” training as part of an effort to achieve “racial justice.”

Garcetti, speaking from Dodger Stadium at a press conference about the city’s coronavirus vaccination effort, said that the city would use “equity” in its distribution of vaccines, to prioritize minority communities hardest hit by the pandemic.

    • Ishabaka January 22, 2021 at 12:09 pm #

Anyone who’s had the misfortune of engaging the vaunted civil servants of the city of Los Angeles knows that the demographic breakdown is about 60% Hispanic, 30% black and the remainder white/other.

Apparently implicit bias didn’t stop most municipal entities, based on outward appearances, from turning into a cross between central America and West Africa.

No real surprise though. Garcetti’s political capabilities seem to be limited almost exclusively to kneeling/virtue signaling over recidivist casualties who were “turning their lives around”.

For the biblically illiterate among us:

In Daniel 2 the Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar has a troubling dream. Daniel, one of the exiled Jews, asks God for the interpretation which he then shared with the king.

Nebuchadnezzar dreamed of a large image with a head of gold, chest and arms of silver, belly and thighs of brass, legs of iron, and feet of iron mixed with clay. Daniel told the king, “you are the head of gold.” The kingdoms to follow were Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome, and a fractured Europe. Vs 44: “And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed.”

      Maybe the time has come.

  26. oldtech January 22, 2021 at 11:41 am #

All of what you said is true, but I think this is also an opportunity to change our lifestyle for the better.

We have much of tech needed to decentralize work, play, and life in general. And what we don’t have we can invent.

Distance learning is the future – why send your kids to a school modeled on the industrial revolution factory. And in the area of work a lot of jobs can be done virtually. And those that can’t could still be done with multiple smaller shops. Lock downs have shown that we do not need everyone working to provide basics for the population.

This would let people live in smaller walkable communities at a more human scale using a lot less energy.

As you have pointed out many times the world we have created and live in is an abomination. It need not be that way.

I think that we need to flesh this idea out and promote it.

    • Blackbird January 22, 2021 at 11:49 am #

I suspect you are right that distance learning is the future, but it is a poor replacement for interacting with peers. Students of the future will be programmed with all the “right” answers, but never learn how to discover truth on their own, or how to cooperate with others.

      • MaryV January 22, 2021 at 12:16 pm #

To many kids (probably most) it’s outright torture.

      • rainmaker January 22, 2021 at 3:41 pm #

That is part of what is wrong with factory model schooling, the “peers” thing. Kids need to interact with all ages of people to learn how to do things, and be civilized.

    • JohnAZ January 22, 2021 at 11:52 am #

      Old tech

Have you heard about pod based schools?

Pods of ten or so kids, being taught three at a time by a central teacher on computer, and coached by aides that work for the prime teacher. Put your pods in school buildings or any other conference room setup.

      Zoom makes this easy.

Nothing is more important than a small student to teacher ratio for good education.

Trying to educate 30+ kids with virtual or even hybrid teaching is a joke.

The small isolated classrooms will help slow the crud also.

  27. MaryV January 22, 2021 at 11:59 am #

My favorite part of the day (and yes the inauguration was extremely funereal) was when the motorcade drove by the soldiers and most had turned their back on Biden.

    Good times.

    • romanmanner January 22, 2021 at 12:24 pm #

Th soldiers were protecting the route, hence their outward facing posture. They weren’t trucked in to act as a prop.

They were brought there because you ‘fearless orange jesus’ whipped you rubes into such a frenzy you started thinking Q was real, corporate corruption was patriotism, and that engaging in insurrection was a good idea.

        • Redneck Liberal January 23, 2021 at 7:40 pm #

And why was it ‘cleared out and locked down’? The evidence of the January 6th insurrection is detailed & visual…unlike the ‘evidence’ of voter fraud. The FBI must be having a field day. These clueless, plan less numbskulls posted the very evidence of their deeds on ‘social media’. Real sharp, those tools.

          • hmuller January 24, 2021 at 10:43 am #

Why wasn’t the FBI smart enough to track the social media trail to arrest BLM and Antifa rioters, who continued with their rampage for months? I always wondered about that.

The disappointment is overwhelming, I know…so, if someone dares to state a differing opinion – based on simple common sense – s/he is derided and you all feel a tiny bit better. For a minute anyway.

            3) We are the nicest people you know.
            4) There’s a spark of goodness in you which draws you here, you simply can’t resist the compulsion.
            5) You’re a balls-to-the-walls masochist.

It’s simple, hmuller. You guys are a laff-a-minute.

It’s hilarious to read all about Beijing Biden, about how anyone not in your weird political bubble is a ‘Leftie’, or a commie or a paid shill, or a media agent.

It’s hilarious to see plain simple facts twisted and concocted into weird memes – today’s classic example being JHK’s smearing of a SS Agent, followed closely in hilarity by the “fact” that National Guardsmen “turned their back” on Biden.

            Yeah, you’re a laff-a-minute.

The funniest stuff is over now though, more’s the pity. The QAnon-adjacent fever dreams of the likes of Narc Troll & his many minions, awaiting “The Kraken” and “The Storm” and the triumphant installation of Donny Dictator by sheer force of will (with a dangerous overdose of Hopium) will live in my memory for several more minutes.

Now, you’re all reduced to the misery of contemplating the bleak dystopian future you imagine for yourselves. You’ve created it in your own minds and spend time reinforcing each other’s errant convictions, thus bringing it to reality – for yourselves anyway.

The rest of us don’t see a conspiracies in EVERY FUCKING THING that happens.

Actually, we’ve won the country by a wide margin which will only increase. President Trump received over 80 million legal votes, while Biden received less than 60 million legal votes. This fact will become widely known and people will mass organize around this reality. The next move will be to start a campaign to have a Congress free of RINO/Uniparty/CFR gatekeepers.
There will be a strategy, a game plan, and an end game.

            Redneck,
It amazes me the things people like you accept as the new normal.
            1) Social media purged of non-woke opinions. (You probably applaud that)
            2) Unending house arrest for innocent people over a flu bug.
            3) Jobs lost; businesses bankrupted over a flu bug.
            4) Talk of mandatory vaccinations; at least, for those who want to leave their homes. Whatever happened to women claiming ownership of their own bodies?
            5) Times Square on New Year’s Eve and Washington DC during an inauguration locked down with defacto martial law, ordinary people banned from attending.
            6) Mandatory re-education training to denigrate people based on race. Oh but if they’re white, it’s OK, right?
            7) Mainstream media silence on anything disturbing the approved narrative, i.e. Hunter’s laptop
            8) A weekly changing number of human genders and array of new pronouns.

I can’t doubt that you are intellectually superior to the rest of us. You’ve said so often enough. But you don’t see any of this as bad?

Everything Democrat’s and most Republicans did from that point on was aimed at destroying him and getting him out of office in effect a soft coup.

      • Uncle Abraham January 24, 2021 at 1:53 am #

So they open the doors of the Capitol to let in the crowd but have thousands of soldiers on hand to protect from zero “frenzied” people. Your math isn’t adding up.

And by the way, on the 6th of January, hundreds of thousands of people were peacefully assembled without a thought of insurrection.

Meanwhile, it turns out actionable perfidy was forming inside the Capitol, consummated late in the night.

Transgenders – a largely unhappy and confused lot, although lately fashionable, are the new saints of the alt-left. No one dare criticize them, everyone wants their child to be one, no expense must be spared in glorifying them. Old White Joe did the obligatory woke thing making them eligible for women’s sports, and sports scholarships, on his first day. I wonder how sportspersons possessing the XX genotype feel about that, whether they are Democrat or Republican?

    • hmuller January 22, 2021 at 12:22 pm #

These transgender guys should at least be required to get “package removal” surgery. That shows commitment. As it stands, any guy can slip on lady’s running shoes and pink shorts and proclaim himself a competitor in women’s athletics.

Pull out the big scalpel and see who stays and who runs away!

      • BackRowHeckler January 22, 2021 at 2:14 pm #

This comes from a case near here; the dudes in question were a couple of teenage black bucks who had previously played HS football, then at some point decided they were females and got on the girls track team. These m#tgef@kjrs didn’t even bother to shave off their mustaches and beards, just tied a pink ribbon in their hair and they were ready to go. Needless to say they won every event at the State HS girls track tournament, and broke every established record.

The local newspaper, which is nearing bankruptcy, praised these 2 dudes bravery, as did the CIAC, HS sports regulating body in Ct.

        What a Freakshow it was.

Yeah, its ruined girls HS sports. Indeed, many girls are not participating, why bother? But then they lose out on a chance for scholarships and the fun and comradery of being on a team. Like I say is a freak show, but a freak show backed by local media, the school system, the state, and now the federal govt.

    • MaryV January 22, 2021 at 1:34 pm #

I’m neither party and it sucks, and it’s a horrible blow to women’s rights, safe spaces, sports and general safety.

I’ve been battling against this scourge for 2 years. Well put, what the trans agenda is about.

I’ll add: It got so powerful because it’s heavily subsidized by big pharma bucks. Like COVID19, the ‘healthy’ industry is on the take, and they will literally claim 2+2=5 and convince young impressionable minds of it as well, in order to get their hands on some of that filthy lucre.

Big Pharma wants patients for life: hormones, surgery, etc. make a lotta bank. And they were starting to lose a lot of their medical dependents on a burgeoning homeopathic/naturopathic health industry. Someone had to fill the void.

One wonders now if the trans will be thrown under the buss for the new Big Pharma enterprise: Endless vaccines etc.

“Much adored as he is for valiantly opposing everything swampish, it might be best now for Mr. Trump to just retire from the political scene and leave the battle to others.”

I agree completely. Trump has irrevocably introduced (or maybe, re-introduced) civic nationalist, populist, and pro-localist agendas into the body politic. It won’t be excised easily– even how hard the MSM, and corporatist democrat party tries to.

    • Blackbird January 22, 2021 at 12:29 pm #

Trump may have given voice to the concerns of a majority in the US,

That’s a bridge too far. He lost after a rather valiant fight. He got scared at the end at threw us under the bus. Sad and shameful, but understandable.

They’ve wanted to do this for for generations. They GREATLY desire to do to us what they did to White Christians in Russia. They were going to do this under one pretext or another, as soon as the stars aligned. Now they have and they’re moving ahead.

I mean are you seriously saying you haven’t noticed the explosion of anti-White animus over the last few years? Always ever increasing? The attacks are now 24/7 and have been for the last two years or so.

Read up on the stages of genocide. Btw, the tearing down of a people’s monuments used to be one of the stages, but that got x’ed out at some point.

        • Blackbird January 22, 2021 at 5:11 pm #

The anti-White animus is our dividend after four years of Trump. Not that he caused it, he just provided the perfect target for the rage hyped by the left and their “media” attack dogs. Almost as if he had been selected to play that role.

Trump lacks the strength of character to be the champion of the dispossessed. He lacks the self-awareness to realize he is unfit for leadership. I wouldn’t expect a narcissist to come to my rescue unless the payoff is better for him than me.

the single biggest donor to Trump and Republicans for the last three elections had been Sheldon Adelson. Adelson made most of his money in China. he died last week, but his widow will carry on. Ukraine is relatively poor, and Americans of republican and democratic extraction have been trying to get in early on developing Russian Industry and Resource extraction.

Walmart is the biggest company for importing from China. followed by the other retail chain giants and Amazon. until recently, and possibly still, most of Walmart’s political donations went to Republicans. Koch Industries is the single largest exporter to China among U.S. companies. ExxonMobile is number 7. these companies lend Republican.

China’s next biggest export markets are Hong Kong, japan, south korea, singapore, the netherlands, britain, germany, and australia.

so all this fiddle-faddle about getting us into a cold war with china is meaningless. a democracy is more vulnerable to this, because you can wind up the dummies and crazies by telling them this means something worse than it does, and that it is someone else’s fault.

            @akmofo

On this, I must wholeheartedly agree with you. I have only one quibble. China, per se, is not the problem. I like the Republic of China on Taiwan ?? just fine and dandy and find Chinese culture fascinating and Chinese cuisine rather tasty.

It’s the mainland Chinese Communist Party (CCP) that is the problem. Everyone needs to stay focused on that specifically.

Remember, the uprising for liberty that was crushed in Tiananmen Square in 1989 and in Hong Kong in 2020 demonstrates that, like all other rational human beings, the Chinese people would much rather have liberty and will throw off communism when the opportunity presents itself again.

The big problem is Xi, (often mocked by the Chinese as Winnie the Pooh), who fancies himself as Mao 2.0 in a business suit. He is the man who has the Hitler complex. All U.S. policy should be oriented towards bringing this man, and the CCP that he leads, down.

Do you understand the concept of a hostile Corporate takeover? On a larger scale, that’s what’s happening. They are an enemy. Read their plan for taking over America without firing as shot, “Unrestricted Warfare”. You can buy it on Amazon or download it I believe.

They aren’t hiding it. That’s chutzpah. But of course they know Americans (like you) are so befuddled at this point that they can’t even see what’s in front of their face.

He’s finished, those who expected Qanon to save the day have already been noted in the NSA databanks. We’ve lost the country, time to go lone wolf. Find no more than 2-3 people you trust, and just smile at everyone else. Chose your targets wisely. Pretend to work and worship ,they’ll continue to pretend you have rights.

    • akmofo January 22, 2021 at 1:21 pm #

Actually, we’ve won the country by a wide margin which will only increase. President Trump received over 80 million legal votes, while Biden received less than 60 million legal votes. This fact will become widely known and people will mass organize around this reality. The next move will be to start a campaign to have a Congress free of RINO/Uniparty/CFR gatekeepers.

There will be a strategy, a game plan, and an end game.

      • Yohannon January 22, 2021 at 2:48 pm #

Which they will more than match by legalizing “11 million” – probably closer to 30 million. Open borders. Two more blue states. More Judges – all Liberals, etc.

They’ve been put over us. Revenge time or so they think.

The way Israelis attacked Sudanese immigrants was an inspiration indeed. If only we have such a Will to Life and Will to Power. No people on Earth fulfill Sir Arthur Keith’s “Dual Code” so well; the Law of Enmity and Amity; one standard for outsiders and another for your own.

The Founders or at least the Puritan part had it right: they didn’t worship you guys, they were you guys, seeing themselves as “Israel”. The Algonquin Powwows stayed up all night raising power and sending curses against Plymouth Colony. They admitted it was all for naught. They could do nothing against a People so powerful and well protected.

          • akmofo January 22, 2021 at 6:18 pm #

I didn’t see any attacks on the Sudanese infiltrators. I did see protests against the Israeli Supreme Court for allowing these economic migrants to stay in the country. For a long time the Sudanese illegals used Israel’s asylum laws claiming they would be persecuted in Sudan. That’s complete nonsense. They already had refuge in Egypt, there was no reason to cross the Sinai desert into Israel other than pure economic reasons. We don’t want illegal foreign labor to break our labor market and our wages. These illegal migrants have to leave. Them being black has nothing to do with it. We already deported many more illegal Russians and Ukrainians than the number of Sudanese being asked to leave.

          • Uncle Abraham January 24, 2021 at 2:14 am #

I spent the year of 2018 in Israel and saw exactly what you describe, akmofo, with illegal African migrants. And regarding your assessment of Israel’s dual code, Yohannon, I saw and heard the opposite from Israeli’s who coherently explained policies that favor Arab citizens.

          • tresho January 25, 2021 at 11:26 am #

” sending curses against Plymouth Colony. They admitted it was all for naught.” Speaking as a genuine Algonquin descendant, I must point out that the original site of the Colony chosen in 1620 had just been depopulated by an epidemic, most likely of some disease brought there by explorers and fisherman who arrived before the Pilgrims did. The Pilgrims found cleared lands and some fertile spots they could plant as soon as the very next spring. After Squanto’s kidnapping and forcible education in the English language, he made it back to his homeland and found the core of his extended family gone from the face of the Earth. All that was left for him to do was to find some strange guys speaking English, and to ask them, in English, for some beer.

“Actually, we’ve won the country by a wide margin which will only increase. President Trump received over 80 million legal votes, while Biden received less than 60 million legal votes.”

Do you have a source for these numbers? Is it the same one that said Trump received 75% of the vote?

All 50 states (more than half of them run by Republicans, including most of the swing states) held elections that they verified as fair, and certified the results, giving Joe Biden his victory.

The Electoral College and Congress then certified these state-certified results.

Not one of more than 60 court cases managed to overturn these results, nor did multiple recounts. Acceptance is a critical part of grieving.

Note: I am quite non-partisan in respect of Trump and Biden … I don’t like either of them, and neither party is even remotely close to being able to address the real problems faced by the country.

However I am very allergic to conspiracy theories, and assertion of “facts” without any evidence. Million of people might believe the election was fraudulent – but only because they have been fed unsubstantiated claims for months.

It was an incredible insult to voters – and democracy – for Trump to claim all year that if he lost the election it could only be because the election was rigged. It would have turned many people right off.

“I am very allergic to conspiracy theories, and assertion of “facts” without any evidence.” — tekapo

DEFENSE LAWYER: “Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, do your duty with due diligence. Study all the facts, and render your judgement fairly and dispassionately. Just remember the verdict is ‘not guilty’. ” ”

CONFUSED JUROR: “But we haven’t been provided with any of the copious materials to make an informed decision.”

DEFENSE LAWYER: “Shut up and do as you’re told. We decide on what constitutes legitimate material. We don’t want to be here forever, going back and forth over irrelevant or bogus details. You complain about missing work for a few days? How’d you like it if you had no job to go back to at all?”

          ANOTHER JUROR: “Orange Man Bad.”

JUDGE: [Gavel sounding on wood]: Case dismissed.

          • Tekapo January 23, 2021 at 12:14 am #

            On another case:

“Lawyers representing President Donald Trump’s campaign and the GOP are facing some close questioning by exasperated judges trying to pin them down on claims of election irregularities.

The result: Lawyers repeatedly have been rebuked by judges for their arguments, the Washington Post reports.

In one of the most-cited examples, U.S. District Judge Paul Diamond of Philadelphia questioned campaign lawyer Jerome Marcus about claims that GOP observers weren’t allowed to watch the ballot count in Philadelphia. CNN had covered the hearing.

Under questioning, Marcus conceded there were “a nonzero number of people in the room.”

“I’m sorry, then what’s your problem?” Diamond responded.”

You make the (non-evil, but fact-based) point I was making … if there were such overwhelming evidence, why did all the cases fail? Was it just a really bad team of lawyers, or was the whole judicial system in cahoots to be anti-Trump?

Tekapo, it would take a book to fully answer your question, since as you point out there were multiple cases.

Generally, courts denied the plaintiff’s standing to sue, without addressing any substantive issues. Or the court refused to interfere in the election process claiming it had no jurisdiction. (a specious cop-out)

But the true situation is that THEY control the courts as well as the rest of the US government. Justice and truth don’t stand a chance. We already live in a dictatorial dystopia, and Trump was not strong enough or clever enough to break the beast.

So let Redneck perform her little dance of mockery.

          • tresho January 25, 2021 at 11:29 am #

” why did all the cases fail?” For the same reason the US Supreme Court approved FDR’s taking the US off the Gold Standard, abrogating “gold clauses” in private contracts, seizing private stocks of gold, interning and dispossessing US citizens of Japanese descent during WWII, among many other things. When the “fix” is in, it’s really IN.

        @akmofo

I agree with this too. I’m starting to like your posts better when you leave the tin foil hat shit at home.

So, one of the most important projects of the next 24 months is to fully investigate, document, resolve, and publish exactly where, when, and how the Democrats stole this election. The fraud must be fully exposed for all to see.

Equally important: Reliable America First, (no RINO’s please), Republican elected officials in all state legislatures need to address the fraudulent mail voting and the Dominion electronically rigged voting machines problem, among other methodologies of vote rigging. If we don’t restore integrity to the ballot box then the Banana Republic simply goes on and on.

Doing so will drive the Red Wave election of 2022 that will sweep these vermin out of power in both houses of Congress and render the Crypt Keeper and his Schlong Slurping VP the lamest of all lame ducks in the history of the Republic.

“So, one of the most important projects of the next 24 months is to fully investigate, document, resolve, and publish exactly where, when, and how the Democrats stole this election. The fraud must be fully exposed for all to see.”

I agree that there should be a root-and-branch review of federal election procedures, and include Democrat buy-in, with the goal of achieving accuracy, efficiency, and some national uniformity.

But if you start with the presumption that the Democrats stole the election, then it will be nothing other than a partisan food-fight, and achieve very little, at both the state and federal level.

          • Redneck Liberal January 23, 2021 at 6:21 pm #

That’s the problem, isn’t it, Tekapo? If this deep & thorough investigation turns up nothing – which is what it would show – the result will not be acceptable to the cohort that has bought so vociferously bought Trump’s lie. There’s no resolution to be found there.

It’ll take a few years of the Biden administration and the obvious lack of all these dire apocalyptic predictions not coming to pass to even begin to crack these numbskulls’ crazy ideas.

          • Tekapo January 23, 2021 at 8:40 pm #

“There’s no resolution to be found there.”

Indeed … it’s not easy to see a resolution at all. Meanwhile the elites that really control so much just sit back in their mansions, and watch the two proletarian factions slug it out.

I think it will depend a lot on how much Trump stays in the fray – if he finds golf more interesting, and his financial troubles too distracting, he might fade from the political scene fairy quickly.

Plus he’s lost his Twitter pulpit.

Speculation about the deplorables who spoke for Trump versus the woke who spoke for Biden, the question of who may rise from the ashes in 2024 is an interesting one. But, as we all know, whoever that is will be campaigning against Harris while Joe will be in a day room in some high class dementia unit, watching over and over such classics as South Pacific. When they reach the stage they can’t even remember they shit their pants (adult diapers) 5 minutes ago, they can’t follow a real movie, but they stare at music and dancing. The great thing about those dementia units is their DVD library need consist of only 2 or 3 movies since everyday for the patients is groundhog day. Joe may pass to his reward by then, or not. But if he’s still alive that’s where he’ll be.

Racism is as intrinsic to human nature as language and an upright gait.

It strikes me that the only substantial difference between a racist and an “anti-racist” is honesty. The former forthrightly expresses the residue of human evolution while the latter in thrall of the selfsame evolutionary residue gives Eric Blair a shout-out before favoring his own over others. Same difference in the end…

All this will little matter if society is indeed heading to where the available evidence points. We will quickly assume our tribal natures and the pathologies of white guilt and white virtue signaling will render those hot-house flowers so afflicted as men (?) without a country. The Kumbaya fantasy, after all, is only marginally tenable in a, historically speaking, anomalous environment of maximum comfort and absence of want.

Guess Trump didn’t get the memo about how he was supposed to be POTUS right now. Biden and the Clintons just walked right in and took their seats as if Hilliary won, january 20, 2017.

Trump was just a 4 year hiatus for the Clintons and all the criminal swamp creatures. They routed Trump like he was a gate crasher at their election celebration, the one Hilliary didn’t have, it was her turn, bawl.

It is the 2016 election, all over again with a different victor and most important a plandemic declared by Trump, giving them all the tyranny and control that they need. Look at all the sheeple.

Well at least we know that the entire system stinks to high heaven, no reason to back GOP candidates or try and circumvent the blocking of 3rd parties. We are on our own, as we always have been, no one is coming to save us.

As it stands now, windmills provide 7% of electricity used in the US, solar panels 1.7%. Turns out, it will take 1,255,000 windmills to replace current domestic electricity generation. That leaves only 9 years to decommission every power plant in the United States, construct a whole new grid from scratch, and put up over 1 million windmills. All I can say is that Beijing Biden and his True Believers better get cracking.

The environmentalists will spin it with an Orwellianism: “We must kill the animals to save the animals.”

Yeah, and that’s a low number SF, based upon those blades spinning 100% of the time. In reality windmills are operational about 30% of the time; we might need 4 million of those 600 ft monsters to keep the lights on.

Think of those things coast to coast, never out of sight, in every piece of open land on the continent, looking like alien machines in the film ‘The War of the Worlds’ (both versions, I like the 1st one best)

When what we should be doing is learning how to securely build a nuclear plant, then build lots of them. In places where they are minimal risk. Just like France.

If you saw Moore’s Planet of the Humans, you remember a primary problem is obsolescence, the plants wear out faster than they are built. I saw a picture of the solar generators near Barstow, CA. I saw the first one many years ago. There are now three in a picture I saw recently. Two are garbage, too big to be cleaned up properly.

Nuclear, yes. Wind and solar are a joke.

      Ask Michael Moore.

I agree, JHK mentioned it I think in his book, “Long Emergency”, and a few years back in an article in Scientific America talked about the cleaner small type of nuclear reactors, something to bridge the gap until cold fusion or something else is discovered.

” That leaves only 9 years to decommission every power plant in the United States” Where’s your “can-do” spirit? The fastest way to switch over to “green energy” is to simply shut down all the non-green power sources leaving only the pitiful few windmills and water mills. That can be done in a few months. Don’t even bother to build any new supplies The vast majority of deplorables can go back to living in the dark and cold, and carving their messages on stones and splinters of wood as their ancestors once did. Remember how to make omelets…

You might find it really hard to accept – but the fact is that Biden ran a far better campaign for the times. Donald Trump stuck with the same old 2016 mask-less rally shtick … but he was only preaching to the MAGA crowd that makes up less than 45% of the voters.

He needed to expand his support, and he did his best to drive voters away … sometimes it looked like he was deliberately trying to lose.

“No rational person buys into the fiction that Dementia Joe won because he is more popular than the Beatles were in 1965.”

No-one claimed this, but it is pretty clear that many more people voted against Donald Trump than voted for Donald Trump – he was deeply unpopular – even hated – by a lot of people.

Millions of people only believe the election was fraudulent because Donald Trump (and the far-right media) claimed it was, day after day.

But no state official (including many Republican ones), and no state or federal court (including those with Republican appointees, even Trump appointees) agreed there was any fraud.

“The election was stolen” is the unsubstantiated claim that needs to be put to rest, it seems to me, before any healing and unity occurs.

I certainly don’t carry a torch for Joe Biden or the Dems … for lots of reasons … but Donald Trump lost an election he could have won because he made many dreadful mistakes in 2020 … and not because anyone stole it.

            That’s my narrative indeed.

          • Slugoon January 23, 2021 at 4:04 pm #

“Millions of people only believe the election was fraudulent because Donald Trump (and the far-right media) claimed it was, day after day.”

Replace ‘Donald Trump’ with ‘Hillary Clinton’ and ‘far-right media’ with ‘mainstream media’ and you’ve described the election four years prior. Russia, Russia, Russia. Except that was year after year, rather than day after day.

My favourite quote of the election:
Clinton: “Trump ‘threatens democracy’ by not accepting results.”

            Breathtaking.

“Replace ‘Donald Trump’ with ‘Hillary Clinton’ and ‘far-right media’ with ‘mainstream media’ and you’ve described the election four years prior.”

i think that’s a poor comparison … we’re talking about claims that the recent election was stolen or rigged – not whether there was foreign interference in 2016 or not.

Hillary Clinton conceded her election either on election night or the next day … and it was closer than the 2020 election. And even then Trump claimed it was “rigged” and that he really won the popular vote.

He then falsely claimed his inauguration crowd was the biggest in history. The guy really doesn’t like confronting a loss.

Anyway – it’s all ancient history now – not a lot of point in raking over it, it seems to me. The future is much more critical.

          • Slugoon January 23, 2021 at 6:39 pm #

Fair comment and I do hope things calm down a little but I have my doubts with the rhetoric still emanating from the winning side.

If I was a Trump supporter (I suppose I am in spirit) I would be willing to accept that Biden won, if only through the sheer number of people voting AGAINST Trump, rather than FOR his lacklustre opponent. I could rationalise that.

What would really smart is the blatant 24/7 hysterical media bias, the total lack of journalistic interest in the laptop or Biden’s Ukraine dealings, the hypocrisy towards protests/riots, the double-standards, and the total dismissal of what were some undeniably egregious electoral practices. I’m not saying they were significant enough to change anything but it’s a very bad look and it has caused deep and probably irreversible mistrust. None of that was Trump’s doing.

Consequently the Democrats have now invented another phantom to chase – ‘domestic terrorists’ – that now being some 74m citizens. That road does not lead to unity nor a very bright future in my view.

“The impeachment hearings are proceeding. I don’t know what they hope to accomplish.”

I suspect that certain members of the Republican Party wish to be rid of Trump and Trumpism too.

The Democrats are holding the impeachment trial (not hearings) so as to publicly affirm that Trump incited insurrection that nearly destroyed US democracy (their words, not mine).

Obviously they can only “dismiss” him symbolically since he’s already left, with a vote of 67 (very hard to get, unless Mitch McConnell can whip enough GOP senators to throw Trump under that bus).

But a more practical outcome – they can vote to bar Trump from ever holding public office again – which many Dems would like to see happen, but many might rather prefer to keep him around for 2-4 years, to maximize the chaos and splintering in the Republican Party.

        There are arguments both ways.

“I was irate. Donald Trump was unapologetically racist and abusive and reminded me too much of how I grew up. I told everyone in my life, “If you’re a Trump supporter you’re dead to me.” I figured my family supported him but I managed to keep a “don’t ask, don’t tell” type of peace— until my mother just couldn’t contain herself any longer and began posting on Facebook in support of Trump. That was it. I was done with her. I was done with all of them. That was the day I disowned my family, severing that last electronic link to them.

I didn’t say a word as I blocked her and my entire family on Facebook, not just from my account, but I also blocked them from my husband and children. I blocked them on other social media platforms, email, and their phone numbers. It took just five minutes. I finally felt free.”

Notice how it’s not enough to disown her entire family, but she also has to prevent them, with her husband and kids, from freely associating as well.

No – I mean that many other successful countries have a parliamentary system where the top dude is the one who hold the majority in the lower house. The cabinet is picked from parliamentary reps as well – so they are accountable.

If there is a president at all (or hereditary monarch), they usually have limited powers – greeting people at airports, handing out honors, cutting ribbons on new buildings, etc.

I believe the US has erred by conferring so much power on the office of one person. But hard to unscramble that egg!

      • KesaAnna January 22, 2021 at 7:03 pm #

        To ( try and ) clarify ;

I;m quite skeptical of this vaccine business .

Not so much the vaccine itself , rather the motives and the means in the sub-context.

That is , that sub – context that says that if I say , ” Fuck your vaccine , I don’t want any. ”

That means I’m an ignorant , stupid , irrational uncharitable , bigoted Nazi bitch.

The sub – context which is brute force transparently masked as love and concern.

And by , ” cooking the books ”

I mean the assertion that 400,000 dead equals the Black Death , and so I’m a bitch if I derisively dismiss it.

When , — and this isn’t exactly complicated math here —

400,000 in a population of 350 million and covering four times zones doesn’t even add up to one in a hundred .

It doesn’t EVEN COME CLOSE TO one in a hundred.

Which is to say that with hype of that gross a degree , you are a fucking fool — OR UP TO NO GOOD — if your default reaction isn’t a skeptical questioning of it.

        “86

Could be a reaction to the vaccine? A side effect? Maybe, it is a little more dangerous to those over 85, just like the virus itself? Two weeks?”

It could be literally anything. It could be just being 86.

As I mentioned, well over 4 million people have been vaccinated in the UK. The specific groups so far vaccinated are the over 80s (not finished yet), care-home workers and residents, and health workers.

So, most. in all likelihood, of the people vaccinated (I can’t speak for other countries) are over 80. And yet this much-maligned vaccine has yet to kill any of them, disappointing many.

But here’s the thing. Even if only a fraction of the world’s population choose to be vaccinated (and I am entirely disinclined to see it being anything other than voluntary – directly or indirectly) that means billions of people will be vaccinated.

That being the size of the exercise, what would defy belief, in a rational person without an agenda on either side, would be that a considerable number of people (especially in their 80s) would not die within two weeks of receiving the vaccination.

People die without appointment. They die when having sex, having dinner, and, in my late brother’s case, while sitting on a bed with their wife and daughter, preparing to take the dog out.

One of the bizarre facts I gleaned unintentionally from one of Joe Bageant’s excellent essays is (without recalling the actual figure) how many Americans die while on the toilet. Yeah, really.

Here’s something you’ll probably find very easily all over the web: that 6 people died during the 44,000-person vaccination trial Here’s something you will find less readily: 4 of them hadn’t been given the vaccine at all, but the placebo.

My Grandfather had a big ol’ spittoon next to his easy chair up till the day he died in ’80. He also would crack raw eggs into his beer and shoot’em down. Up until the mid-ninties there was a fella who would show up at the firehouse with his shinebox every parade day and pick up 30-40 bucks tax free.

      • Yohannon January 22, 2021 at 9:32 pm #

The writer Charles Bukowski was fascinated with a Dutchman who was working as a Longshoreman in his 70’s. Every morning he would come into the bar and put two eggs into his beer. At lunch, much the same. An incredible machine of a man. Bukowski wrote decades later, The Dutchman is my master, then and now.

      • BackRowHeckler January 23, 2021 at 4:32 am #

Yeah can remember as a little kid going into the town bar with my grandfather, he’d order a shot of cognac and a draft beer, and then salt the beer. I think he picked up the cognac habit in France in WW2. On the bar in jars were pigs feet and pickled eggs, probably not the healthiest fare for an 8 year old but I thought it was pretty good eating at the time.

Xi Jingping will assure the Climate Czar — John Kerry — “sure, we’re closing our coal fired power plants next week, every one of them, so don’t worry. Yes, millions of our people will freeze to death in our brutal winters, be thrown out of work, and starve, but that’s the price us Chinese are willing to pay to reduce global temps 2°F over the next 50 years.”

After that the Climate Czar — John Kerry — will stick his head back up his ass, climb back into his Boeing 777, and fly back to the Vineyard, congratulating himself for a job well done.

      The Planet is saved.

” reduce global temps 2°F over the next 50 years” I doubt that there is any proven (or even plausible) way to make that happen, for the same kind of reason that the coldest part of winter starts a month after the winter solstice.

We need to hammer the Chinese about their mistreatment of Muslims (which I’m for of course). Call China the Morally Sick Man of Asia. ” But who cleaned the spittoons? That’s very low. We need them to be their own separate caste. ”

    My favorite Hitler quote is ;

” It should be a greater honor to be a STREET SWEEPER and citizen of this Reich , than to be a king in a foreign state. ”

    A close second was where he said to the assembled Reichs Arbeits Dienst ( Reichs Labor Service ) at the 1934 Party Rally ;

” In future , no one will be allowed to join our ranks , unless they have first served in your ranks. ”

( i.e. no one will be allowed to become a leader in our Reich unless they have first been a ditch – digger and a toilet – scrubber . )

Of course a genuine skeptic would be likely to say that Hitler could write and talk pretty , and that doesn’t necessarily mean shit.

Just like a genuine skeptic should — but they never do — point out that Abraham Lincoln could talk and write pretty , and that didn’t mean shit.

Which is why nothing anything a Leftist says depresses me more than when a presumed patriot complains that Donald Trump doesn’t talk or write very well.

Superficial fucking bullshit , and you wonder why things won’t get better ?

Should I laugh my ass off , or sob ?

I despise Black Lives Matter , because they say they want justice , but they don’t say a god damned thing about the twice as many Whites who get shot down by the police.

It’s not justice. It’s fishing for privilege and / or power.

I despise feminists . Their story always is that progress is girls get to be fighter pilots and police !

    — i.e . Progress is that , and you can bet your bottom dollar on this , girls who were already privileged to begin with , will get to be Alpha predators and hired hatchet men.

It’s not equality , it’s fishing for power and / or privilege , and nine times out of ten , power and privilege for those who already had plenty of both anyway to begin with !

    And you ?

    A separate caste indeed.

A great many white people will be going to Stalingrad with me , and / but you won’t be there.

Yes, some things transcend caste. And some thing don’t. He knew, believe me, he knew. He did not believe in human equality, even among Germans. But what he did believe in was the Vedic idea of the Nation being a complete whole, one body if you will. The street sweepers or sudras are the feet. What would the higher parts be without the feet? Nowhere. Thus the low are raised up into a very real kind of equality, something they could never have as immigrants of course – and something immigrants would destroy for them. Germany Uber Alles, Kesa! And America? MAGA!

QAnon: For some strange reason, rather than focusing on candidate Trump’s 2016 promises to rebuild American infrastructure and American manufacturing, and end the stupid foreign wars, many of Trump’s Christian followers became distracted into fighting Satan and demons? Strange….

Meanwhile, somehow the Politically Correct Cultists via Social Media became brainwashed into thinking that Trump was literally “Hitler”, or a “Russian Asset”. (Never mind that these are inconsistent concepts.). Trump was just a former reality TV show host, NY real estate developer and casino operator who knew how to push his mental audiences buttons.

Why do women find big, long, nasty facial scars sexually abhorrent rather than reflecting true grit and character? Courage under fire….

Similarly, eye patches, arm hooks, and wooden peg legs?

Why doesn’t female repulsion for male physical defects also carry over to female abhorrence to male character defects? For example, many women found Ted Bundy sexually attractive and “Hot” even after Ted was convicted as a notorious brutal violent serial killer. Ted was literally a “Rock Star”.

    What gives?

    • Yohannon January 22, 2021 at 9:42 pm #

Yes, one female poster tried to get me kicked off here because I reported something I’d read: that women sometimes orgasm during rape. It’s not like they signed up for it or won’t bear the scars of it. But their lower nature is their lower nature and does its own thing. That may tie into being attracted by a Ted Bundy I think. Of course their higher part also fantasizes about being the one who makes him into a better person – but hopefully not too much better, not like the metrosexual office worker “male” drones in other words.

    • GreenAlba January 23, 2021 at 6:59 am #

“Why do women find big, long, nasty facial scars sexually abhorrent rather than reflecting true grit and character? Courage under fire….

Similarly, eye patches, arm hooks, and wooden peg legs?”

Simon Weston, Welsh Guardsman, used to look like this:

      https://www.thesun.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/1472940.main_image.jpg?strip=all

Then he was sent off to the Falklands, got severely burned, and ended up like this (after many surgeries):

      https://www.caerphilly.gov.uk/chronicle/images/6.digging-deeper/famous-faces/simon-weston.jpg

But he nevertheless managed to find himself a very nice-looking wife. Just as the little girl in the famous Vietnam photo, fleeing naked with the skin on her back permanently destroyed by napalm, found herself a husband, and had a family.

      One probably shouldn’t generalise.

      • Soul Forensics January 23, 2021 at 3:05 pm #

        “One probably shouldn’t generalise.” –GreenAlba

Generalizations are usually based on a long history of statistical facts. In many ways, society couldn’t operate without them.

Cops get lambasted in our race-baiting contemporary culture because they target Blacks more than Whites (supposedly — that’s now changing big time because of the fear of lawfare), but it’s a wise generalization because Blacks commit, per capita, far more crime than do Whites. There are many other avenues where generalizations streamline needed action, and are more-or-less accurate.

As far as looks not being a factor in acquiring a mate, I’m not sure what world you live in. Men prioritize looks (face, body, sexual openness, and a pleasant personality); women prioritize confidence and social status, so the Falklands casualty you highlight in the exception that proves the rule can be partly explained by the fact he became famous to some extent. Women love famous men. Even infamous men, as the flood of letters to serial killers in jail can attest to.

        • GreenAlba January 23, 2021 at 5:43 pm #

My husband must be very grateful to be married to one of the exceptions, given he arrived in my house with nothing but the shirt on his back and holes in his shoes. In his 50s.

But perhaps you should be addressing Pucker, for being surprised by his own generalisation?

Personally, if I were young again, I’d avoid handsome, famous or rich men like the plague, for what should be obvious reasons.

But they wouldn’t notice me anyway, so that would suit everyone. 🙂

          • Soul Forensics January 23, 2021 at 5:53 pm #

Rich and confident men needn’t be handsome to score the women they want, GA. There’re some mighty homely — nay, downright vulgar-looking — men with trophy wives, or, to be more charitable to other women, those who are all about social acceptance and security.

          • GreenAlba January 23, 2021 at 6:14 pm #

I agree. I’d just avoid any of the kind of men who think in terms of ‘scoring’ and ‘trophies’. My life – my choice. I am not unique. I presume.

          • GreenAlba January 23, 2021 at 6:17 pm #

And I’m sure my other half was very grateful for the security, until he got back on his feet, which wasn’t even guaranteed.

I don’t think either of us is overly troubled by social acceptance, since we’re neither of us exactly party people. 🙂

We do not propose to say that there shall be no rich men. We do not ask to divide the wealth. We only propose that, when one man gets more than he and his children and children’s children can spend or use in their lifetimes, that then we shall say that such person has his share. That means that a few million dollars is the limit to what any one man can own.”

      Partly,

When folks become independently wealth then the greed is not for money,

It is for power. Power is the first sin, everything Christ preached against was associated with power.

All the evils of the Deep State today are related to power. There has never been a bigger conglomeration of power mongers and their consequent evil than DC right now.

The good news is that power finally self destructs and this too shall pass.

Yeah, but many of us will pass first. Or, the economy will adjust, rebalance itself! But many of its victims will not, ruined “forever” (for the duration of this incarnation).

People need to meditate on the brevity and fragility of human life. And if they can also feel that its precious, fight for it against the huge forces which the Capitalists would unleash against it.

Traditionally, the Church was the friend of the People against such forces. Later the Unions, the Fascists, and the National Socialists.

You keep laughing at yourself, Night Owl. However, I looked at a video titled “Shocking Video Of Joe Biden Groping Children Emerges” but it was just a montage of out of context clips and completely unconvincing – the kind of thing someone who is determined to make Biden seem like a pervert would put together. I can’t tell if Biden has done anything like you’re claiming.

However, you’re stuck with Biden for four years, so you’d better get to the acceptance stage, otherwise I’m not sure you’ll last the distance. And just to be clear: I don’t support Biden. All I’ve said is that, so far, he’s sounded actually presidential and I couldn’t say that about any speech Trump made.

          • Night Owl January 25, 2021 at 5:09 am #

You didn’t look at anything. The clip that we have all seen shows Biden grabbing a child’s breast area multiple times as she pulls away, pulling children to his crotch, sniffing their hair as they pull away, and more.

All from one photo session. Easily Googleable.

Joe Biden gropes children on film, Mike. And you called him presidential.

Well, Night Owl, if you are focused on not believing anything I say, then why reply? Of course I’ve seen those clips (part of the video I mentioned, also) and they are manufactured to make it look far worse than it probably is. Look, it’s not like Biden was alone with a child in any of those clips; there are always plenty of others close by, sometimes very close by.

As I say, unconvincing to anyone other than those determined to try to make Biden look even worse than Trump. It’s sad that some people are just intent on yearning for a lost dream and want everyone else to suffer than loss also.

    Hmm , beats me.

    Or , better maybe , I think =

Don’t believe anything men say about men.

Don’t believe anything women say about men.

Don’t believe anything men say about women.

Don’t believe anything women say about women.

George Orwell’s 1984 was about politics , and in it you see that not one word spoken on the matter out of 500 words is true.

It’s the same deal in sex.

You MIGHT hear ONE true word in 500 words.

Hey , I could be full of shit too ?

Because at least one – third of it appears to be SELF – deception ?

Anyway , one of my favorite observations is that on account of some cultural and social mythology , at least one – third of the male population claims to have a sex drive it does not have.

And on account of some cultural and social mythology , at least one – third of the female population claims not to have a sex drive that it does have.

Men will play predator even though that not uncommonly ends up with an innocent neck deep in shit.

And women will play the victim when it not uncommonly results in their being boxed into a corner .

    As for Rape ?

It seems to me that men and women both often conspire to paint the rape victim as a head cheerleader or prom queen , even when she wasn’t.

And when it is unavoidably true that it was an ugly retard ,

that status is really worse than the rape.

Like , in , ” To Kill a Mockingbird ” , it comes out that Tom Robinson didn’t rape the white girl.

Uh oh , he’s still majorly fucked though , because he DID FEEL SORRY FOR HER — his presumed social superior.

And not condescendingly or patronizingly , but sincerely.

    Yep , he’s really fucked now !

As Oscar Wilde famously said , ” No good deed goes unpunished ! ”

It seems to me a whole lot of something is going on here , but which has scarce , or nothing , to do with flesh and bone and bodily fluids.

( Btw , I think , ” To Kill a Mockingbird ” is , now , an excellent object lesson in the absurdity and falsity of these claims of progress.

Tom Robinson was a self – supporting , half – crippled field hand .

When was the last time you actually saw that ?

May Ella would have two or three kids , by different adolescent fathers , and consequently would be taking in two or three times as much income as Tom Robinson.

Tom Robinson would still get in deep shit , even though he didn’t fuck her ,

because he was a 30 year old man who did care about her ,

and not a 16 year old boy who did not care about her.

Bo Radley never would have gotten a chance to do anything good.

Everyone would just have assumed he wanted to cornhole the kids , and so on that basis alone a pretext cooked up to ship him off to one of these places we don’t call prisons.

There’s other little details , like a professional police officer hands an ordinary civilian a rifle to shoot a rabid dog , because never the less he knows the civilian has younger and better eyes and is a crack shot.

No particular stigma attaches to an old woman who is in the habit of sitting on her front porch with an old Confederate pistol in her lap , except that the neighborhood kids assume shes a real bitch.

Nobody ever seems to question the authority or judgement of Bo Radley’s parents to exclusive say over the welfare of their peculiar son. Today at least three different government agencies would be on that family like flies on shit.

If people were anywhere near as thoughtful as advertised , this once liberal movie would be banned as politically incorrect heresy , or just plain obscenity. )

The story couldn’t be written now , except perhaps as a very dark comedy. )

Yes, Atticus was a normal man, a good Southern racist as further portrayed in “Go Set A Watchman”.

Yes, poor Boo Radley. At least he came out once and did good. Scout grew up to be a big Liberal Bitch (the author I presume….)

KesaAnna I must say your knowledge of American and European Lit is impressive, this week quoting Harper Lee and Oscar Wilde, last week I think it was Solzhenitsyn and H.G. Wells.

Autodidactic knowledge accrued at the School of Hard Knocks, not at a Masters Seminar of Comparative Lit at Duke.

I like the iconoclastic posters on this site — Akmofo, Yohannon, St. Elmo and Kesa Anna to name a few — not that I agree with everything they say, which makes it even more interesting, and challenging.

    Urban Rural Civil War

They should do to Washington DC what the Russians did to Grozny during the Second Chechen War? The Russians thickly seeded the perimeter of the city with land mines so that they couldn’t break out. I wish I could find that video of the Chechen fighters trying to break out late at night by running through the mine fields with the intermittent staccato sound of explosions. Do that to the DC lobbyists making a late night breakout from Archibald’s strip club on K Street.

Yo: Let’s pretend that Kesa is the Wise Devil here. A true Wise Blood

??One young devil asks the older one: “How did you manage to bring so many souls to hell?”

The old devil answered: “I instilled fear in them!”

Then Answers the youngster: “Great job! And what were they afraid of? Wars? Hunger?”

No Answers the older one: “They were afraid of the disease!”

For this said the youngster: “Does this mean they didn’t get sick? Are they not dead? Was there no rescue for them?”

The old devil answered: “but no . . . they got sick, and died, and yet the rescue was there.”

The young devil, surprised, answered: “Then I don’t understand???”

The old devil answered: “You know they believed (and still do) that the only thing they have to keep at any cost is their lives. They stopped hugging, greeting each other. They’ve moved away from each other. They gave up all social contacts and everything that was human! Later they ran out of money, lost their jobs, but that was their choice because they were afraid for their lives, that’s why they quit their jobs without even having bread. They believed blindly everything they heard and read in the papers. They gave up their freedoms, they didn’t leave their own homes literally to go anywhere. They stopped visiting family and friends. The world turned into such a concentration camp without forcing them into captivity. They accepted everything!!! Just to live at least one more miserable day . . . And so whilst living, they died every day!!! And that’s how it was very easy for me to take their miserable souls to hell….. ??

CS Lewis, 1942, ‘quit their jobs’; ‘didn’t leave their homes literally to go anywhere’.

Yes, having read the Screwtape letters and a whole lot of CS Lewis’ other Christian apologetics, I’d really have fallen for this. Truly CS Lewis’ writing style. Very England 1942.

        Not.

People forget, just for a start, that there was a time when writers knew where to put adverbs, and were more discriminating about the adverbs they used, but also more relaxed about them. And, incidentally (not related to this instance), didn’t write tortuous, inelegant, and often illogical sentences to avoid something that put the fear of God in them, the ‘split infinitive’, an invented sin based on a misunderstanding issued from Latin grammar, not English.

You’ve been had. Again. Think of all the times you’ve been had and you don’t even know it.

Well some of them did, EF.

But not for the specific purpose I mentioned, which is a recent development. I’ve seen some crackers from people who should know better. And it’s distracting when you’re reading.

I think it’s because language, in people’s minds, is so indicative of class. People think a split infinitive is a thing an uneducated person would write, so they write horrible, contrived sentences, often with the adverb beside the wrong verb, in order to avoid it.

Same with the ‘me’ and ‘I’ thing. ‘Me and John went fishing’ smacks of the peasantry. So people who are a little bit educated, at least in their own mind, come out with things like ‘John invited my wife and I to dinner’ to avoid sounding ‘common’. Language, in those two instances, is a great equaliser. 🙂

I’m not particularly surprised since I had never heard of it, nor disappointed since I only received it last night and had no time to form an attachment.

Btw, the writer is correct. Or doesn’t that even matter to you, lost as you are in pedantry? And that is ultimately more important. So meditate on his or her words.

Of course being factually correct is important too, so a good catch and thank you.

          • GreenAlba January 23, 2021 at 12:56 pm #

It’s not about pedantry. It’s about people getting away with propaganda in the form of outright lying.

And the population being so half-educated that they couldn’t see it a mile away (and I’m not exactly and Oxbridge graduate). Also, since it took me three seconds to put a sample of that crap into Google – and would take anyone else the same – I have to assume that they choose to be lied to.

Are you going to Scarborough Fair?
    Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme;
Remember me to one who lives there,
For she was once a true love of mine.
Tell her to make me a cambric shirt,
    Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme;
    Without any seam or needlework,
Then she shall be a true love of mine.
Tell her to wash it in yonder well,
    Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme;
Where never sprung water or rain ever fell,
And she shall be a true lover of mine.
Tell her to dry it on yonder thorn,
    Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme;
Which never bore blossom since Adam was born,
Then she shall be a true lover of mine.

    Female part:

Now he has asked me questions three,
    Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme;
I hope he’ll answer as many for me,
Before he shall be a true lover of mine.
Tell him to buy me an acre of land,
    Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme;
Between the salt water and the sea sand,
Then he shall be a true lover of mine.
Tell him to plough it with a ram’s horn,
    Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme;
And sow it all over with one peppercorn,
And he shall be a true lover of mine.
Tell him to sheer’t with a sickle of leather,
    Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme;
And bind it up with a peacock’s feather,
And he shall be a true lover of mine.
Tell him to thrash it on yonder wall,
    Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme,
And never let one corn of it fall,
Then he shall be a true lover of mine.
When he has done and finished his work.
    Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme:
Oh, tell him to come and he’ll have his shirt,
And he shall be a true lover of mine.

  69. Slugoon January 23, 2021 at 6:10 am #

So, do I have this right? (I’m a Brexiteer ergo not very clever.)

Biden signs EO enforcing pointless masks on federal property… then doesn’t wear a mask while on federal property, multiple times. Staffer says they have “bigger things to worry about.”

WHO suddenly warns of the false positives resulting from flawed PCR testing while CNN’s Covid death/cases tracker disappears overnight.

Biden on Covid after having all the answers last year: “There’s nothing we can do to change the trajectory of the pandemic in the next several months.” That should cover both bases then.

Kamala on Antifa: “They’re not gonna stop, and everyone beware, because they’re not gonna stop… They’re not gonna stop before Election Day in November, and they’re not gonna stop after Election Day… Everyone should take note of that, on both levels, that they’re not going to let up — and they should not. And we should not.”

Antifa smashes up more buildings and burns American flags, Biden and MSM silent while a handful of Capitol intruders renders half of Americans domestic terrorists that need to be deprogrammed, censored and purged using the powers of the alphabet agencies and special commissions (not applicable of course to the left-wing extremists that were proven to be inside).

AOC: “The whole point of protesting is to make ppl uncomfortable.”
AOC: “I don’t feel safe near GOP members.”

Another sham impeachment to waste everybody’s time and money while Hunter’s laptop remains in the memory hole.

National Guard sent to sleep in a parking lot once finished with (only those who were vetted of course but Biden isn’t paranoid). Hundreds now testing positive for Covid (because the masks they were all wearing work).

70,000 jobs lost with Keystone XL but plenty of work for the migrant caravans on their way whose rich culture will benefit all Americans.

I know there’s so much I’ve missed, but the hypocrisy, double-standard, incompetence and sheer perma-hysteria of this pathetic new rabble is going to make for a very entertaining four-years! Good luck to all you MAGAs.

Hullo, GA. I hope you are well. (I was a little flippant about Scotland in our last exchange, long ago, so sorry about that.)

Yes, I thought we had our problems here but things seems rather tame in comparison. Every time I think the cognitive dissonance has peaked I am proven spectacularly wrong.

Maybe Antifa is right: “ungovernable”. I guess this is what happens when societies really start cracking up?

        • GreenAlba January 23, 2021 at 7:20 am #

Hello Slugoon. Nice to speak to you again!

There are lots of things we agree on, you’d find. And the tragi-comic situation in the US is one of them. But I have tried not to say too much about the situation generally over the last few years, with it not being my country!

I honestly don’t think that even in the tragi-comic UK, people would have been allowed to get away with burning and looting as some kind of retributive self-expression, for any length of time. Not that we haven’t had looting and mayhem in the past – was the last iteration 2011?. But while people did make excuses, the PTB didn’t just stand by and let it happen (although it was touch and go whether they’d be able to deal with it if it got any further out of hand).

        • GreenAlba January 23, 2021 at 7:27 am #

Same reason I haven’t posted for quite some time, nothing valuable to contribute in my case, just content with reading, and enjoying, the blog and the comments.

We certainly wouldn’t get away with it here. I had the police descend on my house last summer because eight of my neighbours were milling outside the front of my property for a charity MacMillan Cake Bake. I think the limit at that time was six or something.

Yes, it probably was around 2011 that we had a very brief outbreak of thuggery! I was locked in a Birmingham pizza restaurant but I’m still not sure, had I stepped outside, whether ordinary folk were a target. I don’t even remember what it was about now. Ah, nostalgia. I’m a fairly unemotional person but it gets me every time!

    • GreenAlba January 23, 2021 at 8:13 am #

Well, I have to admit to getting on a train from Edinburgh to Norwich in May to go to my brother’s and nephew’s funeral, which was strictly not allowed. There was practically no-one on the train, which was a relief, although I was very conscious that I was only able to do it safely because most other people hadn’t. So my conscious isn’t clear, but I couldn’t think not to go.

We also were in Keswick when the first lockdown hit, but stayed out our week and then had to drive home. We had a lovely week driving around the Lakes with hardly a car in sight, a delight you don’t normally get there! We were well behaved, though, and only got out the car to walk around some standing stones, and to get my husband a steak-bake from Greggs (before they closed for the duration!).

Fortunately we didn’t see a single police officer either in the Lakes or all the way home, until we spotted a cop car on a roundabout with us near Galashiels, but they totally ignored us.

        • GreenAlba January 23, 2021 at 11:15 am #

Thank you, Slugoon. And yes, sadly, within the space of about 10 days. Nephew diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes practically as a child and, like many teenagers, couldn’t reconcile himself to the constraints, so mismanaged it through his teens and 20s – life and soul of any party, etc. His mother found him dead in bed two weeks after his 30th birthday. My wee bro died of a heart attack less than two weeks later, almost certainly not unrelated to both the almost two decades of angst and its final outcome. Such is life, Covid or no Covid.

People on here are more familiar with the younger brother, ‘gay nephew’, who has never been any trouble at all, but was blessed with good health. Except that one or two people on here have insisted on his profound mental illness. 🙂

And no, ratting on neighbours is not a good development. But I was still in the wrong and benefited from other people not following my example. 🙂

Read that great letter again. We’re dying. You fell for the Covid Lie despite all your larning and French even.

My condolences on your brother. That was sad. His goodness was his undoing.

          • GreenAlba January 23, 2021 at 1:10 pm #

Your use of ‘Covid Lie’ is entirely without discrimination or specifics and is unworthy of someone of your intelligence.

And my learning is extremely modest – in either French or English.

But I know that when a hospital has 12 out of 15 floors full of Covid patients, as described by one of the consultants working in it, that hundreds of people working in that same hospital (every last one of them) would have to be in on some sort of scam for your theory to work. Doctors talk to each other on blogs, just the way you do (you should hear their opinion of the ‘Covid is a hoax’ brigade).

So it wouldn’t take many of the people in that hospital to correct the consultant’s statement if it were untrue. It would get out.

BTW, I promised you transparency on my husband’s vaccination, which he had on Wednesday. Sorry not to be able to offer you the balm of even a sore arm, let alone his serious allergy issue making any difference whatsoever. But don’t give up – maybe next time.

Absolutely. I can start now by intimating that he can be slightly eccentric (don’t tell him I said that), and can also be very grumpy (he would tell you that himself). 🙂

You told me about the ladies and their spasms already, but with no references provided to back up your story. I treated it with the respect it therefore deserved (a joke about ‘I’ll have what she’s having’, a cultural reference which I assume didn’t go past you).

Well, I’ve never made it from scratch – it’s one of those things you need to leave to a Scottish butcher. My favourite brand is MacSween’s – you can even get it online, I think, so maybe it’s available at a deli near you. Now that they’ve stopped selling it in a sheep’s stomach, which is the traditional presentation, I slice it and freeze it (on the odd occasion that I buy it) and can heat a bit up in the microwave in a minute or two whenever I like.

            https://www.macsween.co.uk/products/delicious-every-day-haggis/

Of course it will be Burns’ NIght in a couple of days and just time to try it, along with the traditional address, ‘To a haggis’ (good luck with that – it’s beyond me, bar the gist).
