Did you notice that it took just a little bit of internal chaos to alert the Party of Chaos that maybe chaos wasn’t the greatest thing to be the party of? Something went awry the past two weeks when thousands of creamy coeds on every campus across America donned the keffiyeh and, in effect, demanded submission to history’s most notorious misogynist cult. It struck a most cacophonous chord among progressives, like Kumbaya as orchestrated by Karlheinz Stockhausen. To awaken from Wokery, you see, is a brutal shock to the brain.
And so, over the weekend every big dog in the Democratic Party’s doghouse came out barking against the current direction of the Democratic Party — that is, over an electoral cliff, lemming-style. Bill Clinton lamented at the Milken Conference that “the political rewards of grievance politics and name-calling and being negative have been so immense that nobody could give’em up. That’s what this whole shebang has come down to now.”
James Carville had a veritable nervous breakdown on X: “It’s going the wrong way, it’s not working. Everything we’re throwing is spaghetti at a wall, and none of it is sticking, me included.” Fareed Zakaria over on CNN confessed that “None of this is playing out the way I thought it would.” Gee, really?
None of them could bring themselves to actually name the doddering donkey in the room, “Joe Biden.” Nor did they dare call out the stage manager behind the old Joe-from-Scranton show, Barack Obama, not exactly coasting into his fourth term, as expected. They’re all surprised the way things are turning out. And, of course, “JB” himself did not come out of his Rehoboth Beach hidey-hole after declaring no more bullets and missiles for you, Israel, which landed amongst the Party’s donor class like a tear-gas bomb.
Hillary Clinton popped up on the Morning Joe show wearing royal purple to remind the audience that Donald Trump is another Hitler, threatening “the sanctity of the Constitution” and adding “maybe this will be our last election.” If she’s putting herself up as possible last-minute replacement for the ever more ghostly “Joe Biden,” she was not so crass as to say so. The party will have to come pleading to her on its knees, hoping she can once again muster the legions of indignant women to oppose the wicked Golden Golem of Greatness — who was, that very day, on display in a Manhattan courtroom having to endure the jibes of the paradigmatic wronged woman, porn-star Stormy Daniels.
What else have they got, really? Gavin Newsom? If Mr. Trump is Hitler, then think of Mr. Newsom as Godzilla with hair gel. Imagine what he could do to the whole USA after trashing California, as he has managed to do. Sorry to tell you, but in an election contest between Hitler and Godzilla, Hitler would probably win. It’s a rock-paper-scissors deal. Any other ringers they might throw in? The only name that ever comes up is Illinois governor JB Pritzker, who actually looks a bit like King Kong, and has certainly done a Kong-job on Chicago. And, by the way, that’s where the Democrats’ convention will happen in August. Wouldn’t it be something to see King Kong versus Godzilla there?
All of which is to say that something beyond desperation has set in amongst the Democrats, an emotion so dire that Elizabeth Kubler Ross couldn’t find a word for it on her transect of grief. They don’t know what to do at this point. They have only a few months to figure it out and there is more at stake than a mere turnover in administrative duties. The shadow of the gibbet looms in their nightmares. Their lawfare schtick was one thing, a kind of fun-and-games compared to what’s coming at them: the actual law, trials for more serious crimes than mere book-keeping errors and mis-pricing real estate valuations. Think: sedition, treason, bribery and tack on conspiracy to commit all the above.
Meanwhile, Mr. Trump provided a further shock to the awakening Woke with a Saturday evening fan meetup down-the-shore in Wildwood, New Jersey. Somewhere between eighty to a hundred-thousand voters showed up in what is said to be among the bluest states in the country. Bruce Springsteen must have been weeping into his avocado toast over in Red Bank. Then, across the Sunday morning news digests there was talk about “a landslide win,” and even more amazed chatter about RINOs and Never-Trumpers returning to the folds of the Golden Golem’s heavenly garment, as though Mr. Trump had virtually Jeezified himself through a year of tribulation.
Will the Democrats just go through the motions the next six months, awaiting execution? Naw. One way or another, they are going to jam Hillary into this psychodrama. Stay tuned for a couple of medical emergencies. First, Kamala Harris will resign on account of a sudden “health problem” that prevents her from attending to her duties. Cancer will be implied but not spelled out. “Joe Biden” will appoint HRC of the Purple Pantsuit as veep. Three weeks later, “JB” will submit his resignation for medical reasons, and nobody will need to ask why. Voila! The first woman president, she-whose-turn-has-finally-come, flies triumphantly out of the Democratic Convention in her hometown, Chicago, like Rodan the Flying Reptile emerging from the mythic volcano, cawing her battle-cry across the land. The Golden Golem answers with a roar. The great re-match is on!

I do not see any of the above happening. No one that supports the Biden administration actually thinks he is in charge of anything. Talk to some hardcore Democrats and they will tell you precisely that. They believe that there is a Hall of Justice where woke Superfriends don their capes and meet to pull the strings and do such marvels as creating the greatest economy in US history.
No one is bothering to pretend anymore.

I’m trying to remember. It was one of the things keeping me awake, that it might be go time.
Now I remember. They had Ashley Biden trending on X; and the old news about her diary being real was being presented a if it just happened, and there were multiple posts claiming it proved that Joe showered with his teenage daughter (it doesn’t).
It made me think why now, the free-for-all Joe bashing. That sort of thing is usually reserved for someone like Trump, on X.

Interesting prediction about Hillary, it’s plausible.
Over time, the US has been growing more and more fragile. The only bright spot was the uptick in crude oil production–which JHK says is a “blip” that is unsustainable. I think he’s right (because IMO, something too good to be true usually is).
After that positive development, in the flood of red ink that was always growing higher and higher, we had three hits: COVID and the mRNA shots; Russia/Ukraine; and Palestine/Israel/Middle East.
The smoldering conflict with Russia started by Clinton (expand NATO) and Bush (expand more), was ignited by Obama in the coup in Ukraine, the flames were fanned by Trump (“lethal” aid and large expulsions of Russian diplomats, thank you Donald), and then Biden decided to pour gasoline by green-lighting a renewed “Ukrainian govt offensive” in the Donbass, at which point Russia pre-emptively stepped in, Feb 2022.
The US/West then attempted to embargo Russia and is actually in the process of STEALING Russian financial assets. This has unleashed WW3 economically, although the effects are slower to work their way to the US than Europe, this re-ordering of global trade relationships will be another hit to average Americans.
And now, while JHK is unable to admit the obvious, the industrial grade slaughter of Palestinians has precipitated all these demonstrations that (we are told) are roiling the country.
Perhaps some of the demonstrators are not sincere–they could be troublemakers, or people looking for some “excitement”, so they are joining the peace/cease-fire now demonstrators.
The impetus for these demonstrations is pretty simple: it is wrong to bomb defenseless people and starve them, and our tax money and aid should not be enabling this.
In any case, in the global scheme of things, while the Gazans are the big victims, the US unconditional support for Israel is eroding America financially (cost), and undermining America diplomatically in the Arab world and beyond, which will in the long-term also affect Americans adversely.
COVID. Ukraine. Palestine.
That’s THREE big hits in less than five years.
They’ve all considerably increased the flood of red ink that will drown the US.
If we are lucky, that is. If American foreign policy in general, and regarding Russia and the Middle East in particular–does not lead to hot WW3, with America itself coming under fire for the first time since the Confederates attacked Fort Sumter, and the Union attacked the South.

As for the demonstrations and the chaos in general (and the blob wants CHAOS), if the election process had not been tainted, it’s plausible that we could something like 1968, when an unlikeable Trump beats an unpopular incumbent party with the help of a 3rd party (replace Wallace with RFK).
We are giving Ukraine, a lost cause, almost four times the aid that has been allocated to Israel.

The Ukraine debacle has shown that WW2 or even Cold War tactics no longer work. The fear factor has of course filled up with Nukes, but the advance of chemical or biological warfare into the high tech delivery systems bothers me much more.

The Israeli government harasses various Christian churches and communities who have been in the Holy Land for a long time, including Armenians, Greeks, and Catholics.
The PTB want division and chaos. Everywhere. All the time. Chaos distracts and angers people, and makes them easier to manipulate.

As long as the Israelis deny the Palestinians basic human rights, Hamas (or some OTHER similar group, or groups) will continue.
Israel has killed so many Palestinians and destroyed so much that the Israelis have created an abundant pool of Hamas volunteers among the survivors.

The Republicans want to sic the National Guard on them. Mike Johnson who supported BLM and George Floyd, wants this too. Why? What has changed? You know. The antagonist isn’t Whites this time, but Jews. You have to hold onto the big picture: This is the most important movement in our lifetime, forcing a conversation that has to be had.

There have been too many offers of peace put to Hamas and the Palestinians that were flatly refused. So, what can the tiny Jewish state do to mollify their enemies or calm the waters? The war against the Jewish state and Jews is eternal and never to end without the genocide of every Jewish citizen of Israel. So, they either fight to destroy Hamas or die by destruction of Israel. What a choice!

The Israeli government and media consistently dehumanize Palestinians.
Israelis (soldiers, police, settlers) routinely kill Palestinians for now reason.
Israelis can arrest and imprison Palestinians without charge. Israeli whistleblowers have said torturing Palestinians is accepted practice.
The Israelis consistently have moved the goal posts and have never been interested in peace.
That’s not just me saying: that’s coming from Israeli Jews with impeccable credentials, like Gideon Levy and Miko Peled. They were even in the Israeli Army! They are professional writers/reporters.
As to your “1200 victims”
Many sources, including Max Blumenthal, have noted that over 600 of those Hamas killed were uniformed Israeli soldiers or police.
As Israel occupies the West Bank and Gaza, an occupying power’s soldiers are legitimate targets.
This whole “eternal war against Jews” is very old and tiresome. The whole “victimhood” thing, where, for the past eight decades, certainly since 1967, Israelis are the victimIZERS.
There are virtually no Christians, Armenian or otherwise left in Turkey; Christians have been persecuted for centuries, from Rome to Communism to the present day, where Christians are harassed in Israel.
That’s right. You don’t read about that–but in “democratic Israel”, that’s how it goes.
Israel is going to drag the US down to obscurity. I hope you’re in the US and I hope you live to see it. And once the parasite kills the host, then we will see how Israel fares in the world at large.

This is what genocide looks like: troops go door to door to force a whole population to camps, death marches. Armenians, Jews, and original peoples of the Americas, among others, suffered it at different times.
Israel is not pursuing genocide but survival. True, many civilians have been killed. They would not have, if savages in green bandannas hadn’t had a day of fury in Israel’s sovereign land, burnin’ and shootin’ and rapin’ – and they wouldn’t have if the troglodytes in bandannas hadn’t hidden amongst them instead of facing the angry Jew army kicking the door.

Israel does not have the luxury, and it cannot totally disregard it.
Based on the actual destruction we have seen so far, as well as numerous statements by Israeli government officials (such as one minister who LITERALLY suggested nuking Gaza), I’m pretty sure the Israelis would simply carpet bomb the place, and order soldiers to shoot any survivors afterward.
And then, they’d bulldoze, and get Americans like the Adelson family or Jared Kushner (Trump’s son-in-law) to build hotel casinos at the beach. The Israelis would also get the rights to whatever oil and gas is off of Gaza’s shore.
As to the “troglodytes in bandanas”, what is the difference between them and Israeli soldiers, police who can detain Palestinians without cause, and imprison them, who torture them, and even kill them with impunity?

You can be pretty sure all you want, yet you’re dealing in hypotheticals. You also contradict yourself. If Israel, unlike the reich or Turkey, is under the gaze of an omnipresent media, then why would they “simply carpet bomb the place”?
Look at the real issues here: overpopulation and resource depletion. Plus, of course, ancient hatreds. But hatreds can be overcome, it has happened sometimes. The Arabs had many opportunities over the years to be good neighbors. Many are Israeli citizens. When Gaza was returned to them, it was returned with agricultural infrastructure intact, greenhouses, packing houses. Hamas destroyed it. There was the potential of a good living there for the masses, a start, a source of work and pride.
The troglodytes are not the same as civilized soldiers, who can be ferocious and ruthless but don’t cross certain limits. If those greenhouses had been put to use, and more added, and other industries, and a trade deal w Israel and Europe, all that poor, young cannon fodder that the leaders sacrifice would own scooters, be able to afford a flat to live with their women, instead of sitting on the corpse of a dead, half naked young woman in the back of a pickup truck, bringing her as meat to be paraded.

You are correct, that is a “hypothetical”.
It’s a hypothetical based on the Israeli government’s current actions, statements by current Israeli officials, and the Israeli track record in general.
Israel cannot COMPLETELY disregard public and global opinion. Up to now it has largely disregarded it, since the US has covered and helped Israel.
However, Israel cannot suppress the images, or the actual testimonials from Westerners whose WESTERN relatives or friends have been killed.
The Germans and Turks did not have these concerns.
Exactly. What is going on, at college campuses, is a conflict between anti-Israel Jews and pro-Israel Jews. It is causing great inconvenience to non-Jews, unfortunately. The parties involved need to take their conflict elsewhere so serious people can focus on their studies. The very idea that an internal conflict within the Jewish community is somehow “antisemitism” is laughable.

I refused to buy a massive home and still reside in the same starter home I bought 20 years ago and as such easily paid off my debts, pay minimal property taxes (as compared to most with their mini mansions) and can easily afford to heat, cool and maintain my property. Life doesn’t need to be complicated but the choices we make complicate if for ourselves.
I see no reason why government shouldn’t be the same. The solutions to what ail us are not complicated.
1. Want to stop illegal immigration? Bring the US troops home and put them on the border. Shoot and kill any who try to cross. Sure, a few may die but the message will soon be had by all to stay away from the border.
2. Want to stop inflation? Stop printing money. Inflation is a monetary phenomenon that comes from the Federal Government printing too much money to compete for too few products. States don’t print money. Cities don’t print money. Counties don’t print money. Citizens and businesses don’t print money. Only the Federal Government prints money and they are the sole cause of inflation.
3. Balance the budget. Don’t spend more than what is coming in. How do you do that? Stop spending.
4. Want secure elections? Go back to paper ballots and in person voting.

She cites no sources, nor provides documentation of the ride.” None of this proves anything either way. As for providing documentation of the ride, I’m not sure how one would document that a young woman went on a horseback ride in 1777.
The overall impression is that the story circulated in the family, among Sybil’s descendants.
It’s absurd to suggest that the absence of details (her route, her horse’s name, or whether she rode side-saddle) cast doubt on the story. And why should she mention the ride in justification for her claim to her husband’s pension? It would be irrelevant.
The article also mentions that she could not prove she was married to her husband. Anyone who has done any geneological research can tell you that the maintenance of marriage records in former times was very sketchy. There were no government records of such matters, and if there was any record at all, it was a church record. In predominantly Catholic areas of the country, parish churches did a pretty good job of maintaining such records, but Protestant churches may have been less diligent. Records of this kind are often damaged or destroyed. (E.g., some medical records I was seeking on one of my kids had been destroyed by flooding within a few years.) The same is true of the records mentioned by Lamb, the local historian. It is probably no longer possible to obtain the records she mentioned.
As for Sybil’s course, after riding 40 miles along dirt roads and deer trails, probably much of it through raw wilderness, she probably didn’t remember it herself.
If Wikipedia had any integrity, it would present the story as best it is known, perhaps with a one-sentence disclaimer that it is not very well documented–as opposed to devoting the entire entry to trying to debunk the story.
There are probably many, many historical incidents that are not very well documented. Do we know whether Paul Revere rode side-saddle? And I notice that the name of his horse is also unknown.

OG, I believe the idea that the Jews are “God’s Chosen People” is wrong in that it is mis-interpreted Bible lore. If one reads the Bible they will find that God covenanted with Abraham and God’s chosen people come through Abraham by way of his son Isaac and Jacob. Jacob had twelve sons who each became the heads of great tribes. Each tribe inherited a portion of the “promised land” or the land surrounding the Sea of Galillee and the Dead Sea. The Assyrians conquered and dispersed the northern 10 tribes about 650 B.C. These 10 tribes never returned to the promised land. In 500 B.C. the Babylonians conquered Judah, Benjamin and Levi and took them captive. They were permitted to return some hundred years later or so but what were they like upon their return? Pure blood Judah or Judah mingled with the blood of the Babylonians, Persians, etc?
It should also be noted that the Jews of today are different from the Jews of 2000 years ago. The term “jew” originated as a description by the Romans to describe anyone from the province of Judea which history records at the time as being a cultural melting pot of many different cultures and races.
If you believe in the Bible then you would need to understand that God’s Chosen People are not the Jews but the House of Israel consisting of all 12 tribes. That is Joseph, Ephraim, Manassah, Issachar, Levi, Dan, Gad, Naphtali, Zebulun, Judah and Benjamin and Asher. Only one tribe, Judah, claims to be part of the Jewish people. So what of the other 11 tribes?
There is a tribe of Ruben, though, Ruben lost the birthright and the birthright was then transferred to Joseph whose two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh headed the now divided tribe of Joseph to replace Ruben who’s tribe had waned to a status of unimportance.
Esau converted to Judaism in 126 BC. By the time of Jesus’ ministry the members of the priesthood sent to inquire of him claimed to “have never been in bondage to any man.” The only way this could be true is that they were not members of any tribe that had been in Egypt.
This is how people following Judaism could be fulfilling prophecies pertaining to Edom. Obadiah is brief.

There are two fig trees of Judah. The tree bringing forth the evil figs, Jeremiah says, are those who refuse to submit to the judgment of God according to the law of tribulation. The tree bringing forth the good figs are those who submit to God’s judgment and [ in the prophet’s day ] go to Babylon.

The Church in later centuries began to think of itself as having replaced the fig tree, for it forgot that the very trunk of this tree was Judah. This was how they developed “Replacement Theology.” But they were wrong. They replaced nothing.
God considers the Church to be true Judah. This is what Paul tells us in Rom. 2:28, 29, where the apostle tells us who IS a Jew (Judean) and who is NOT a Jew (Judean). These are God’s definitions, even if the world thinks otherwise.
This is so wrong that it is hard to know where to start. The muslims were created as a conquering force, and forcefully converted everyone they conquered, but the Jews resisted. As far as I can tell what jgalt wrote up there is basic world history. Not so. In the Book of Acts the apostles including Paul and Barnabas came together with the mind of the Lord and didn’t lay all the minutiae of the Mosaic Law on the nations. And that didn’t mean they were giving a pass to sin – they weren’t. Paul directly reflected the Spirit and Mind of God in Christ in his letters recorded as Holy Scripture.

The Essenes didn’t go about carrying daggers under their cloaks for the purpose of carrying out assasinations. They vanished after the destruction of the second temple.

Neither do you. The earliest copies we have of John’s gospel don’t include the story of the woman taken in adultery and Jesus next writing something in the the sand. That story is a later addition.

I think it has a lot to do with population density. Once things get dense and the social order gets complicated different people start to leave for different reasons. SSL, there were 5 other crewed moon landings after the first one in July, 1969. We were in such heated competition with the Soviet Union at the time I think they would have made an issue out of it if they suspected the landings were phony. There is no evidence the moon landings were a fraud.

I’m sitting in my living room, looking out to the woods in my backyard through my wall-length sliders. We get lots of bird’s flying around with typical woodland creatures about.
I now can understand why a lot of old men sit in rockers on their front porches and just look out at the world. It is very peaceful.
Birds are everywhere. A lot of the time they congregate on the railing of my deck. Plain sparrows, red-breasted robins, beautiful red cardinals, huge, cawing crows, different kinds of woodpeckers, the occasional hummingbird and magnificent, soaring hawks. This year big honeybees are flitting to and fro. Woodchucks, turtles, deer cross through my back yard. And it’s not that far from downtown Boston.
It’s so spiritual watching this parade of life. Since I retired and now have more time on my hands, I’ve really appreciated the world around me. I’ve always known I live in a beautiful place, but I usually had too much to do to enjoy it.
We were so sick with the stomach virus, but although somewhat weakened from the after effects, we are fine. My wife now weighs what she did when we met 41 years ago, and I’m exactly at my high school weight. We look like a couple of old, wrinkled teenagers, lol. Well, not very wrinkled, but my white beard (hopefully soon I’ll cut it off) and grey hair (I’m grateful I still have most of it) is an obvious giveaway.
Tomorrow we’re finally going to Foxwoods for a few days. We’ve had to postpone our visit 3 times already, but with one day to go, it’s looking good.
I’ve said I appreciate a lot of things, but I know – almost for sure – that the SHTF is bearing down on us very soon. At least I’ve had some peaceful times.

Mostly craps, but mixed with blackjack. How much blackjack depends on how lucky the tables are. Way back, I hit a fantastic blackjack lucky streak one day. I kept parlaying my bets and couldn’t seem to lose. I didn’t have much money in those days. I kept piling on the $5 chips (red chips) until I had a sky-high pile rising up from the table. I have received emails from very well-meaning guys and had conversations with various law enforcement and military fellows about civilian combat tactics, both in a general context AND as they apply to me directly given my situation. While I always appreciate expert advice and soak it up as much as I can, I have been struck by one commonality that I have heard and vigorously disagree with. I have been told over and over again that the first thing one must do when a close-quarter combat theater unfolds is to seek cover.
I’m sorry, but that is wrong. And yes, I realize that I am directly contradicting the near-unanimous advice of men who have training and experience that I lack. I realize that, but I still must disagree. If I EVER encounter a gunman or gunmen situation as we saw yesterday* in Norway, or as in the Giffords shooter in Arizona, or as in musloid Mumbai-syle attacks I will NOT seek cover. The “seek cover” tactic completely hems YOU in and basically demands that the gunman move into a position such that YOU have a shot on him, but he doesn’t have a shot on you. Guys, that’s never going to happen. And it is completely chickens***.
Any adult, male or female, with any degree of physical capability, regardless of armament, upon seeing a shooter should immediately RUN AT THE S.O.B. as hard and as fast as possible. If you have a gun, you draw it and start shooting as soon as you can. If you have a knife, draw it and brandish it and then go for the face and neck as soon as you are in range. If you are unarmed you can still tackle him and beat him into submission or death, if necessary, or gouge his eyes out (ladies).
At this point, most everyone in this culture would say, “That’s crazy! I’m not doing that! I’d just get shot!”

When crazed gunmen start shooting in public places, people tend to get killed. But there are two variables that can be modified: WHO gets killed and HOW MANY people get killed. I remember hearing Dennis Miller speak very poignantly about the Virginia Tech massacre shortly after it happened in 2007. One of the dead was an elderly professor, Dr. Liviu Librescu, who was a Holocaust survivor. When the gunman appeared at his classroom door, Dr. Librescu ran straight toward him and forced the classroom door shut and held it shut while the shooter tried to force entrance. This bought time for the students to escape through the window. The gunman eventually killed Dr. Librescu by shooting him through the door. All but one of Dr. Librescu’s students escaped. The point Dennis Miller made was that Dr. Librescu, when he saw the evil standing in the door – which he had seen before six decades earlier and thus recognized – didn’t run AWAY from the evil, he ran STRAIGHT AT IT.
Our culture with its new god of “self esteem” has destroyed the average person’s sense of courage and self-sacrifice. There is no virility, and certainly no potency. While our fighting men in the military still have plenty of bravery, their pants-pissing, self-esteem candy@$$ generals refuse to let anyone fight because “someone might get hurt”. And so, our soldiers have to sit and watch as the enemy moves free and uncontested, and then our boys get killed as a result of that enemy freedom of movement. We should be bumrushing the S.O.B.’s with everything we have, from nukes to bayonets, if needed. Speaking of bayonets, did you know that the U.S. military has removed bayonet training from basic training? Apparently it was too aggressive, or some bee-ess like that. Nevermind that a bayonet charge is still an incredibly effective tactic which was last used by a squad of Brits in Iraq who were ambushed, pinned down and outnumbered 5:1. They fixed bayonets, charged, killed 35 of the 100 Iraqi rebels, and sent the remainder running with the contents of their bowels evacuated. The Brits suffered three very minor wounds. If they had used contemporary Western sissy self-esteem “I might get hurt” combat tactics, they would have been shot dead to the last man.
This is also what happened at Columbine High School. The SWAT Team sat outside the school while the killers roamed free because the SWAT Team was trained to not engage if they could potentially get killed. So, they sat and waited for Harris or Klebold to step in front of a window and give them a clean, “safe” shot or some such. The only reason Columbine ended was because the two shooters shot themselves. They were granted 100% situational control to the very end by the SWAT Team.

One knows: many times he could have died, friends and relatives worthier than one have been dead for years, one has been spared because of Grace or sheer luck. What’s wrong with dying now?

Of course I have a waking dream that I’m adopted by Ron and SoftStarLight and when we go grocery-shopping together, I get in the shopping cart and they hand me the grocery items. SoftStarLight is pushing the cart and Ron is riding on the front of it.
Locals always shop right before closing. For instance, if the grocery store closes at 10:00, we go at 9:45, so we can get in and out.

I used to be pretty upbeat. No longer.

I suspect it’s all of the above. A person can only take so much pressure. Historically I’ve been emotionally strong, but I’ve never been 79 before.
Oh, well. All I can do is keep on carrying on, so that’s just what I’ll do.

79, honestly if I were that old today I dont think it would bother me much unless I had grandchildren or something to be concerned about but I have no kids. Still I think people my grandmother age don’t worry a whole lot even if they do have grandchildren.
They worry some but not as much as most people my age usually do who are young and still have a long way to go unless we die of some illness younger. My grandmother also don’t spend a lot of time focusing on news stuff either and she may not be all that aware of everything that’s happening. She’s 94 years old, she lived a very long time.
But to live as long as any of you have, you were probably always healthy most of your life. My grandmother survived a venomous spider bite in her garden, she survived eating too much pork that almost did a number on her so she had to quit, yet she still lived to be 94 and is still alive today.
Considering how bad everything is….I can understand how it even affects much older people whether they have family or not. In my case I just don’t want to live in these troubling times at all anymore..Times were always hard and tough but all this nuclear war talk shit is just so hard to deal with anymore. So far I’ve had three nightmares about it this year.
I feel like seeing someone pulling off a Sarah Conner on some of these instigators. If you don’t know what that means. Look up that scene from Terminator 2 judgement day after Sarah Conner loses her mind and goes after the guy responsible for causing Armageddon. People like Blinken, Lindsey, all of these assholes make me wonder why their mothers failed to abort them.

That flag is so damn meaningless now. Not to mention replaced by the pride one.

“Whooping Cough Didn’t Appear o worry the NHS”
Epidemic in London, it really got the author.
I caught it in either Belfast or Inverness. There was a woman on the bus in Inverness with the deepest cough I have ever heard.
I found out that the problem may be that the DpT vaccine is scheduled every ten years. BUT, the Pertussis part only lasts 5-7 years. We had allowed the ten year period lapse.
I also believe after many colds, Covid and now this Pertussis that the immune system molds itself to a locale. So travelers to other areas are at higher risk for catching their local bugs. Remember that the memory system in the immune system is based on exposure. Al the Vitamin C, Zinc and D cannot stop something that you haven’t seen before.

And guess what they’re using to ‘test for’ whooping cough? That’s right – PCR – the ‘test’ that had a 100% failure rate when ‘diagnosing’ whooping cough in 350 people (in Tennessee?) in 2005, who, it turned out, didn’t have whooping cough at all. That story is on the CDC website.
My husband had a PCR ‘test’ for pertussis back in February or March. We still don’t know if he actually had pertussis as no-one has given him the results of the ‘test’.
Another thing they’ve always done to over-hype the pertussis vaccine is to call whooping cough ‘croup’ when it presents in vaccinated children, so it doesn’t get counted as ‘breakthrough cases’ of pertussis.
I’ve been coughing for weeks, although I’m not – and have not been – otherwise unwell. Today my hairdresser said her husband was the same but worse (coughing until sick in his case). I’m willing to bet that the people who are getting these extra respiratory conditions are covid-vaxxed. Immune systems have been depleted, so it’s hardly surprising that respiratory illnesses are up and are harder to shift.
I will give you a marker. Pertussis does not go into the lungs, it hangs out in the throat just above the larynx. Its real characteristic is the GD mucus production, which seems to be never ending. The cough is a result of the mucus. I will tell you the thins we did to get rid of it, which none really worked.
Antibx. Z pack X2, Bactrim, amoxicillin.
Changed lisinopril to losartan, one side effect of lisinopril is chronic cough.
Upped our proton blockers for the stomach as reflux can cause mucus production.
The model I found was that the bacteria wedge themselves in between the cilia in the throat which makes them hard to attack for the immune system or antibx. Most pertussis just runs its course.
If you have a newborn in the family, they cannot express the mucus and can die because their lung capacity is too small to express the mucus. We have a new one on the way in the family, so we doubled up vaccine plus disease to insure no transmission. My. Wife still has not kicked it totally. It is in her larynx now.
It is really nasty stuff, I agree with you that the Covid plus vaxx probably debilitated the immune system and opened the gateway.
It is distressing the NHS seems to be ignoring the situation, as you are finding out, it is not trivial.
I have given hundreds of DT shots to adults, John, over the decades.
As I told you before, they only added the P to the DT for adults maybe 15 years ago. I tried to go to the CDC to find out when, but they pretend that it was always so.
When they changed to the TDaP the instructions were that if an adult had never had a pertussis vaccine (most adults at the time), then they would get ONE dose.
After that they would go back to the DT only. They didn’t recommend that they get the P every 10 years.
I don’t know why you still believe that natural immunity is not as good as a vaccine. That was never the stance before 2020, but you seem to have internalized it.
You don’t need a vaccine for any disease you have already recovered from.

They draft Alaska and Puerto Rico into the successor of the Warsaw Pact.

I feel bad for the Gazans and personally support a ceasefire and negotiations. My opinions don’t carry weight in that arena however. Two things though do stand out. Hamas does indeed use civilians as human shields. Specifically to create the narrative of civilian casualties. They understand Westerners better than Westerners understand themselves. Also Gaza is one of the most densely populated places on Earth. So anywhere a bomb goes off lots of people are going to be around unfortunately. It is a tragedy for sure.

Rename ceasefire as Time to rearm. Rafah is the nexus of the transportation system to rearm Gaza for the next attack on Israel, more Hamas, more rockets and missiles.
