As they like to say in the horror movie trailers: It… begins…! (Cue bassoons and waterphones.)

If last Wednesday’s solemn and prayerful parade through the Capitol rotunda was the Democratic Party’s funeral march, then impeachment starting this week may be the burial service. Central casting couldn’t have found a more perfect funeral director than the grave and genteel Mitch McConnell.

Of course, the Democrats have been screeching for new witnesses because Adam Schiff (D-CA) muffed his due diligence on the House side. The tactical fallback, courtesy of Lawfare, is to provoke a legal pissing match over executive privilege, which they hope to turn into a campaign ploy in the months ahead: Trump concealed the truth! This time, though, I doubt the Senate rules will give them a chance to run option plays from the Brett Kavanaugh playbook, flooding the end zone with obvious geeks and bottom-feeders of the Michael Avenatti species.

And, naturally, the witness question beats a path directly to the Bidens. Open that door and there is really nothing on God’s green earth that will keep Hunter B out of the witness chair. In which case he will have to reiterate what he said in a TV interview a few months back — they’ll play the recording in-session — which is that he got the $83-K-a-month do-nothing gig on the Burisma board-of-directors because he was the Vice-president’s son. Or he can change his story and cast himself as a liar. It would not be necessary to call Joe Biden, just submit in evidence that recording of him bragging on how he strong-armed the Ukrainians to shut down their Burisma investigation by threatening to withhold a billion-dollar aid-and-loan package. Hmmmm. Sounds suspiciously like what Mr. Trump is accused of, absent evidence.

Was Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) playing dumb on Face the Nation Sunday when he said Hunter Biden shouldn’t testify because he has no knowledge of the accusation? Or, is Mr. Nadler just dumb enough to forget that in a trial, the person accused of something is called the defendant because he’s entitled to defend himself? The corruption in the Hunter B matter is not just obvious, it’s confessed. Everyone seems to have forgotten that the US has a treaty with Ukraine on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters signed at Kiev on July 22, 1998. How, exactly, does that not apply to Mr. Trump’s conversation with Mr. Zelensky?

Well, all this tends, naturally, to questions around the 2020 election. Though the polls cast Joe B as front-runner, I fail to see how he survives the Ukraine payola scheme as a viable candidate. On top of which is his pretty obvious mental deterioration. Half the time, he doesn’t seem to know what state he’s in, and the most amazing things come out of his pie-hole — the latest being his gaffe about Beto O’Rourke being a Latino. Did Uncle Joe not meet the man half a dozen times at debate venues?

Bernie Sanders looked to be coming on strong in recent weeks, until Project Veritas caught some of his field managers threatening to burn down Milwaukee if he was deprived of the nomination and then proceed with a national insurrection. Was that a true colors moment? Voters have a right to wonder if Bernie is piloting a garbage barge of old-time Bolshevism, complete with the requisite reign of terror.

Just today The New York Times endorsed Elizabeth Warren and Amy Klobuchar for president. Yes, you probably thought what I thought initially: one for Prez, one for Veep. Actually, no, it was both for Prez. How’s that supposed to work? Well, it’s just a ruse, of course, because both are foundering in the polls, and poor Ms. Warren is on tape lying about herself so many times that you’d see more of that on TV than Seinfeld reruns before next November. The New York Times is actually holding out for the resurrection of Hillary Clinton. Isn’t this the perfect set-up for old Hillary to swoop into Milwaukee on her leathery wings of fire, like the fearsome Wendigo of Potawatomi legend, and gobble up the delegates? It would be much like the Whigs nominating the old warhorse General Winfield Scott in the election of 1852. That election marked the death of the Whig Party, and with Hillary leading the charge, 2020 would be the end of the Democrats, such as they were known.

The impeachment witness question also redounds upon the fabled “whistleblower,” that Jacob Marley of the impeachment Christmas story, rattling his chains off-stage and wailing of cosmic injustice against the poor Ukrainians. There is no witness more pertinent to this enormous fiasco than that pimpernel of perfidy — and, of course, the long choo-choo train of persons he conspired with, including Adam Schiff and the Lawfare gang. I would love to see him unmasked in the ‘splainin’ seat, spilling the beans on the predication of this whole sordid affair. But it might be better to wait and hear from him in the Senate Judiciary Committee hearings to follow this impeachment circus, where his turpitudes can get the full attention they deserve, with indictments to follow.

      Really, who could be so stupid as to impregnate a stripper? Obviously, he is such a moron he shouldn’t be allowed to breed. I bet he gets that from his father’s side of the family. Perhaps he is routinely addled by booze and drug-fueled lust and so spoiled he can’t be bothered to consider consequences. I saw this limerick on another site and got a chuckle out of it. Daddy has been bailing him out of trouble most of his life, and he now feels so entitled, he can’t be bothered to take even rudimentary precautions.

        A stripper, yes, but also a former college athlete and an aspirant to FBI employment. A long legged blond, a down home honey from Arkansas, a single mom alone in DC … a girl has to make living, so as far as being a stripper, all is forgiven. Who knows what Hunter told her, what promises were made? It reminds one of Eliot Roosevelt, TRs brother and Eleanor’s father, knocking up his German maid, Elsie Mann. Promises were made there, too, but not kept. This Hunter Biden chap didn’t own up to being the father of this little one, in fact has tried to escape responsibility, which makes him a cad in my estimation.

          I’m sure she is more than a little clever. Clever girls don’t get knocked up unless they want to be. I’m sure promises and blandishments were given, but apparently she wasn’t young enough or so naive as to believe such things and took out a little insurance. This will put paid to her FBI aspirations. I’m sure she knew this. Instead of quietly having an abortion and going forward with her life plan, she chose to be delivered of a meal ticket. Good for her.

            I don’t fault her for this. Well played, Lunden Roberts. There is no doubt that Hunter Biden is a cad of the first water, and deserves whatever bad karma he has coming his way. I suspect the blandishments and promises were concerned with such things as introductions and access to preferment. You can’t compare this woman to some innocent little German housemaid from 100 years ago. She’s 27 years old and this is not her first rodeo. It’s true that a girl has to make a living, and strippers make a lot of money (most of it in cash), but stripping nearly nude for a room full of strange men requires a certain hardness of character.

            Now she’ll have the best of Hunter Biden; a child to love, and she’s got him by the short hairs for at least the next eighteen years. She won’t have to tolerate his presence and this will in no way interfere with future employment prospects or relationship opportunities.

      How is that any different than what Hunter did?
      What about the Trump Hotel in DC? Are you blind to all this?

      Whatever Hunter or Ivanka did does not exonerateTrump from anything he did.

      Is the theory that if Hunter was getting 80 grand a month from the Ukranians in a no show job, then Trump is allowed toribe the Ukranians and sell trips to the White House.and steal the next election, too?

    Don’t know and don’t really care who’s going to “win” (if that’s appropriate terminology) this shameful little affair, but can’t wait for it to all explode in the press either way. One thing’s for sure with all things Trump, no events are small events, everything’s larger than life, and this one (and its aftermath) promises to be a barn burner in the absolute highest tradition of reality TV. Maybe Trump will even get to intone a theatrical “You’re fired!” to one or more of his Dem inquisitors sometime during the process? We can only hope.

    Biden seems more mystified and dumbfounded in his Ukrainian responses than anything else — “why am I in trouble?! I’ve been doing stuff like this for years and nobody minded before!!” Hunter does seem a bit more worried but a few more drugs should take the edge off of that. So the Democrats just want to call their witnesses and block the Bidens from testifying? I want to hear from the two Ukrainian prosecutors, the one fired and the one that came after him to see where the Burisma investigation went and what was uncovered or covered up.

    I can understand Biden’s confusion concerning Beto — he’s highly forgettable.

        Except “O’Rourke” sounds suspiciously Irish to me. I watched the debate last week and the Democrats are in deep trouble. Bernie looks like he’s doing his best to put the lessons from anger management in practice, Amy and whatshisname from Indiana really don’t say much even though they talk a lot, Tom Steyer’s fixed stare is a little unsettling, and Joe is just trying to hold it together. And then there’s Elizabeth who’s becoming more brittle in her delivery with every appearance. No wonder they’re worried.

          The clown show hasn’t even started. Wait for Milwaukee. Nobody will have enough votes on the 1st ballot to secure the Democrats nomination. Fireworks will erupt on the 2nd and subsequent ballots. After that, the party implodes into muck-raking chaos. Riots in the streets, demonstrations, protests, etc. Bernie will have the Bolsheviks marching in force.

            Fine with me, as long as Bernie’s Bolsheviks are marching for revenge on one of the other dem donkeys. The Project Veritas piece was describing a leading member of BB essentially saying that they’re coming for Trump’s Deplorables and placing them in gulags for “re-education”.

            That’s the part they ought to take pause at and prayerfully and solemnly consider which faction own the vast majority of the guns in this country.

            I also feel nauseated thinking about Milwaukee. I have hopes it will not explode, but knowing people who are going to be there as I do, the nausea persists.
            Extremists, resentful people, and Deconstructionists can exist in a society without problems for a long time, even acting as a needed court jester voice that keeps more mundane people from excess complacency…until the shadow sides of those Nice People raise the scourge up and flail around, as they are now.
            As a former lefty/Democrat I’ve seen plenty of that shadow side over a few decades, it’s some scary shit. And definitely something to struggle with even in the best of times. Convinced of their own rightness, they do not yield, not a bit. People of weak character, with little to no self-awareness, and a need to “make a difference” and be special, well that’s a juggernaut to fear.

            Nothing will happen. I was in a punk band for years and have spent plenty of time around Antifa types. Many are trust fund babies who couldn’t figure out a rental agreement, others are simply gamma males full of impotent rage.

            The only thing to worry about is where the system is taking us. If Trump’s predecessor takes the globalist/technocrat worldview, there is little to nothing you can do to stop what’s coming. You will just have to adapt.

            Nightowl, do you deliberately misinform yourself? Maybe so, but no need to misinform others.

            The Ukraine aid may have been released by september 30, but it was only released after Trump found out he had been caught using that aid to bribe Zelensky into helping fix the 2020 election.
            I hope you dont aske me to post the “concrete “evidence anymore. It is out there and overwhelming. Maybe you dont know where to look, or know where not to look, so you have plausible deniability so you can keep pretending that it did not happen.

            The democrats have presented that evidence. The evidence they cant seem to get their hands on is anything exculpatory.

            The White House wont offer any rebuttal evidence.

            Remember, NightOwl, that the same guy that says this whole thing is a hoax is the same guy that says climate change is a hoax, and the same guy who spent more than six years looking for a Kenyan birth certificate that did not exist. That did not matter to him, only that his supporters would believe it exists, the saps.

            Do you contemplate the fact that the same people who say this trial is unconstitutional are the same people that said counting the Florida vote in 2000 was unconstitutional..

            Do you have a clue what is going on? In the slightest?

            Sept 9 the investigations begin. Sept 11 the aid is released. They are and bunch bullshit artists and ass coverers when they are not painting their own asses with their own bullshit. Dems have to option to impeach and Senate will sit in judgement. When the last member of this Explorer’s Club expires, hopefully someone will turn off the lights. These are the last gasps of a vestigial elite trying to retain minority power in the face of a rising majority. The only thing that most on this thread get is that no democracy has ever withstood such a shift. I prefer to hope that we will.

    Interestingly, Radio Derb mentioned Klobuchar as a possible VP candidate, allowing the Dems to check the female box if Joe manages to stumble across the primary finish line in first.

    I checked her Wikipedia page and see a pretty plain vanilla liberal Dem except that her main claim to fame seems to be that the authored/sponsored more laws than anyone else. Oh goody! Lots and lots of meaningless, but expensive, laws – maybe a Great Society v2.0.

    If Uncle Joe does get the nod they need to nominate someone sane for #2 because his chances of being overcome by drooling seem high. Klobuchar beats Warren in that category hands down.

    As far as Hillary swooping in on leather wings, I can think of nothing else that would serve so well to motivate Trump’s “base”.

      Hunter Biden and his fellow “board members” were just the public faces (puppets) for the globalists who seized control of Ukrainian natural resources.

      We should be asking questions about who are the real players behind the curtain. Have they staged coups and seized national resources in places other than the Ukraine? I would guess many times. What politicians have aided them and who has benefited from this globalist looting?

      The Democrats and Rhinos may regret kicking over this ant hill and seeing what scurries out.

    The Senate sits atop the Swamp, presidents come and go with the silverware, house members if they get out of line go to prison but Senators never get investigated.

    The foreign aid racketeering is not seen as corruption, nor is the grifting off the globalist looting of America, these are seen as entitlements to the Swamp. Nothing creates “Bitter Clingers” more than entitlements, so imagine the angst amongst the Uniparty in DC.

The Dems love the welfare state and Repubs the warfare one, but neither opposes the other on spending for whatever.     Yep, “the call” was about corruption and Democratic meddling in the 2016 election. The Bidens’ names just happened to come up, not because they are future political rivals, but because they are synonymous.

    Another interesting coincidence is that Biden, Pelosi, Kerry & Romney (RINO Romney), all have kids mired in the Ukrainian money-laundering operation.

    I should have marked all my tax dollars, and then when Obama sent over $7 billion in aid, I’ll bet a few marked bills would have come back in Hunter Biden’s pocket, clean as could be, then ending up in some stripper’s garter belt, maybe the mother of Joe’s latest grandchild, on one of Hunter’s coke-fueled binges.

    You gotta’ love the character of the governing class. Really.

    The psyche of most defaults away from explanation of natural phenomena or history that can’t be understood as a “shaggy god story”.

    That is, there’s compulsive groping toward explanations in the binary of absolute “good and evil”. Essentially, emotional hysteria tends to prevail over intellectual objectivity.

    Currently, this is evident in the “Never Trump resistance” and the debate over global warming; Trump is the binary embodiment of “absolute evil” requiring “exorcism”.

    Likewise; global warming — though negligibly affected by human activity — must be excised by acetic abstinence from use of fossil fuels and monkish vegan diet.

    Whatever the outcome, survivors will monumentalize it as good vanquishing evil (“History is written by the victor”)

    It is all bullshit and bad theater and less entertaining than watching frozen pork chops sitting on the kitchen counter slowly defrost. In the end the D’s will vote D and the R’s will vote R and those in between will either sit home or probably give the GG of G a sympathy vote for all of the abuse he has taken. It is a sad and pathetic joke played to an audience of programmed consumers of mass quantities that are incapable anyway of making intelligent choice for one good reason or another. The only result that makes any sense to me is that Mr. Trump gets another four years so that he can preside over the bankruptcy of the nation that is long overdue and truly unavoidable. Our system needs a thorough and large scale colonic and he’s probably the best man to apply it.

    Two modestly amusing anecotes:

    We had a mouse problem at our house, so we adopted a cat . His shelter name was Rutabaga, apparently based on his orange and gray coloration. I was going to rename him Hunter, in hopes he would be a vicious hunter of mice, but gave up that idea when I realized that’s Joe Biden’s son’s name. So we named our new kitty Henry, after a ruthless king of England. We have not seen a mouse since Henry joined our family. They have either left the house or are in hiding.

    Now about the term “lawfare”. Until recently I thought it was a sarcastic reference to attorneys who are supported by the taxpayers, a play on the word “welfare”. In fact it is based on “warfare”, and means using the law to defeat enemies. It is an actual organization with an elaborate website.

    I’ve never watched a so-called reality TV show. I’m not watching, or reading about, this one either. Don’t care. All that will matter is the outcome, and it really likely won’t matter one bit to our everyday lives.

    Corruption is running rampant throught the system at every level and across the board. From small non-profits, to mega churches, to small government boards, to state, then federal governments, and up to multi-national corporations, corruption is a given. It has become so normalized it’s just considered business as usual and not even noticed by the masses during their daily hustle to stay afloat. What, if anything, does the impeachment matter within this context? Just one more day in the shitshow is all.

    Now, the Fed dumping hundreds of billions of dollars into bailouts the past few months is an indicator of of something that could have very serious consequences for peoples’ everyday life. I wll pay attention to that situation. The impeachment? It’s a nothingburger aimed at diverting energy. For those who care: enjoy every detail that fits your confirmation bias and hate every detail that doesn’t. I’ll go for a hike instead.

    Mr. Kunstler, you speak of the end of the american Democratic Party, but really it’s the entire western world that is undergoing such rapid fundamental economic, cultural and demographic changes that the established political order is creaking, groaning and threatening to be ripped apart. The old left/right paradigm is now pretty much irrelevant. Brexit split both the labour and conservative parties. The working class is now voting to the right, despised by ‘progressives’. The idea of race blindness now infuriates most of the left.

    After decades if not centuries of democrat/republican, labour/conservative, socialistes/RPR, socialist/christian democrats, the status quo has become unbearable to a growing fraction of the electorate. Almost all established political parties are threatening to come apart or be tossed aside by new political parties, either radical left or populist right.

    Sure, american democrats have to juggle with their woke intersectional SJW wing, their don’t upset the economic apple cart Wall Street donors wing and their deep state, interventionist wing. But the Republicans have as many conflicts between the Trump populists, the Never Trump respectable traditional conservatives, the job-offshoring global economy devotees, the evangelicals, the american military hegemony wing. Trump is impeached, loses or leaves, in 2020 or 2024. Then what? What does the Trump base do?

      What does the Trump base do? Excellent question. What Trump’s election showed us is that there’s nothing the matter with Kansas, that the Trump base voted its interests.

      The question I think rests on whether there’s another political entrepreneur like Trump that can spot the opening that Trump spotted. That could be the start (or the continuation) of a party that looks after fly-over (or Deplorable) interests.

      The thing is this, there’s a faction of the Democrat vote (ie the people that supported Bernie) that has got the same economic interests as the Trump Deplorable. Which direction will they go?

    For now the various organs and body parts of the Democratic Party move and function after a fashion, even if its faculties have tailed off of late. This is manifest not only in the speech and behavior of its leading politician, this Joseph Biden, a man in evident decline, but also in the collective conduct and thinking of the organization he belongs to. 

    It’s a simple thing really, entropy affects not only inanimate bodies but also those that walk and talk, not only individuals going through a process of advancing decrepitude, but also human organizations. This is what’s happening to the Democrats. 

    The process of disaggregation affects the Democrats in how information about the world is perceived, how it’s processed, and what actions result. Its leadership can’t tell the truth because they no longer knows what the truth is, fact and fiction blurring together, the time-honored practice of deceit having degenerated into self-deceit. 

    The same goes for the misguided people that vote for it, that vociferously support it, that contribute financially. They con themselves into thinking that they’re really a force for good, and for “progress”, that they have the best interests of the country at heart even when facts point to the contrary.

    It’s not just money and time wasting nonsense like this Russian collusion saga. Liz Warren went around for years telling people she’s an Indian, maybe even believing it herself. Then she tells another howler, saying she got turfed from a job for being preggers. In the last electoral dust-up, in their collective enfeeblement, the Democrats nominated Hillary, not having anyone better by the looks of it, in itself a symptom of institutional senility, a candidate that never answered a question in her life, lawyering responses to even simple queries into ever widening ellipses bearing no relation to either the question never mind what simple mule-skinners like me would reckon is the honest truth. And they were stunned when she lost. Anybody with their wits about them shouldn’t have been. 

    Dealing with objective reality is a survival mechanism, any self-perpetuating organism wanting to make it to tomorrow, to next week, to next month or next year having to deal with the cold, hard world. And the Democrats long-ago lost sight of this, most recently taking refuge in fantastical realms of collusion and hackers and Ukrainians and who knows what. 

    Maybe this is a long way of saying the Democrats are outta their fuckin’ minds. Well, they are and have been for a long while. They’re goin’ bye-bye, the undertaker Mitch McConnell directing the proceedings, the pall-bearers Trump and the current crop of Democratic presidential candidates. 

    Just imagine another Trump win this November. There’s a better than even chance of it IMO, the Democrats fully deserving the outcome. Yet another loss to Trump would be a shock to the Democratic faithful akin to the sack of Rome in 410. Other things took the place of Rome. What takes the place of the Democrats is the question. Something will.

    Bernie Sanders looked to be coming on strong in recent weeks, until Project Veritas caught some of his field managers threatening to burn down Milwaukee if he was deprived of the nomination and then proceed with a national insurrection. Was that a true colors moment? Voters have a right to wonder if Bernie is piloting a garbage barge of old-time Bolshevism, complete with the requisite reign of terror.

    “Project Veritas” is James O’Keefe’s ratfucker operation that he started up right after Andrew Breitbart had to let him go for trying to set up and embarrass a female reporter from CNN in some ill-conceived stunt/prank/whatever. I would agree that the Sanders campaign should probably do a better job of vetting its campaign-workers. According to this perverted logic, anything that gives Power to Women is Good and Justified. While the word “Empowerment” has an appealing Ring to It, in practice the authoritarian neo-Com..,munism means debasing and gutting institutions fundamental to Western Civilization, such as Free Speech, an Open Society, dispassionate academic inquiry in which people have to argue both sides of an issue rather than just raw advocacy and shutting down Free Speech. Their windows and opportunities for big mistakes are more wide open than for Trump believe it or not though. He is a known commodity. They still have something to prove. Plus the revenge factor hasn’t kicked in yet? He relishes it they say. Perhaps his expanding legal team is his opening shot? They will put him in a now or never moment. They can’t help themselves.     Do our backers (donors, media/entertainment/academic elite, etc) want Trump to not have a second term?

    If yes, then any lie, misrepresentation, manipulation, or subterfuge will be accepted and repeated ad nauseam to make this happen.

    Also, the Dem screeching for new witnesses is simply a convenient bridge to a second impeachment once this one predictably fails, especially if they don’t get all their witnesses – “See, there’s even more (imagined) crimes when need to press that the Republican held Senate denied.”

    They’ll do a second impeachment in any event; they won’t be able to help themselves – “See, Trump is so bad that he’s the only president in history that’s ever been (falsely) impeached twice!”

    Thrice would be overkill, but back to the gambling analogy, I’d put even money on twice.

    Apart from the impeachment circus, a strategic ploy is being played by Trump-hating Democrat gazillionaire Bloomfield. He is buying up all the TV and radio ad spaces between the Dem convention and November, thereby driving up their pre-election costs sky high. So when the Repubs try to buy such spaces in, say, September, it will quickly exhaust their campaign chests and greatly diminish their access to the voters. The Bloomfield operation will turn all of the sub-presidential seats (county prosecutors, etc.) in the purple states blue. No Republican or non-Democrat can possibly match the enormous funds poured into this coming November election by Blumenfeld. So the result will be a permanent one-party nation dominated by the Leftists.

    Lenin and Stalin would love to be alive to see this regime change of the U.S. into a Commie state.

    So someone please explain to me … why can’t a wealthy nation of 315 million moderately educated and experienced souls throw up 3-4 good lefty candidates – you know skilled people in their 40s or 50s, with no baggage that requires a pack-mule, as well as 2-3 decent moderate conservatives of similar ilk to provide a decent contest?

    All we get are all these weirdo no-hopers, all with some serious left-field negatives, and all slurping their soup and spilling it on their bib, and I include Trump in this. They’re all too old and decrepit, I tell you!

    Is the issue that anyone who would make a decent president too smart to want to do the job? The White House has definitely not been a good career move for the Dumpster.

You would do better to focus on your own home since you don’t understand ours. The US has about 327 million people. Possibly 50 million (you see nobody really even knows who lives here) are illegal aliens, many of whom do not speak English or know much about our country other than its how they make money to send back home. Most newcomers also know that the legal framework of the country favors them over people who have already lived here for generations. Then on top of that the country is divided between hundreds of different ethnicities. There is no consensus, there is no agreement, there is no understanding, because there is no COMMON CULTURE. You talk as if there is this quaint little commonly shared political spectrum and that most are in a moderate middle. That doesn’t exist either as the country is highly polarized. Sorry, it’s not 1970 sweetie. And it seems like being so informed you would know that you can’t get anywhere without money here so what do you expect? The candidates that make it to the top have to be ultra rich or have ultra rich donors and normally that means they have been around for a while.

        As I have stated previously, I became a CFN regular when JHK was focused on Peak Oil, the geography of nowhere, and urban living – both good and bad, and he was though-provoking (plus I have an architecture / town-planning background).

        Having a fascination with the US has been a bit part of my life – the place is beautiful to visit (the natural bits, not the cities so much) but it is so crazy that it’s like peering into a Petri Dish – which is always fun, or like an anthropological study.

        Plus there is a practical side – crazy, erratic, and war-mongering as it is – it still has a major influence on Australia (the 52nd state, after Canada), so it is in our interests to watch the place carefully – like a spider in the corner of the room.

        Australia is far from perfect – primarily in the way we are wrecking the environment – but there is a sense in which there is a common culture based on multiculturalism. This is a very complex issue, but overall, the immigration program to Australia over the last hundred years has been wildly success.

        It helps significantly that we are an island, and while there are some illegal entries by boat from Southeast Asia, it is a tiny trickle compared to the entries over the southern US land border.

            I think it has more to do with class. My experiences living in both the US and Europe have only strengthened that belief.

            I have no issues with immigration, but I do have issues with unchecked immigration and lawlessness.

            Here in Germany the Turkish population is pretty well integrated. Many stick to their own, but they respect German culture on the whole and it works. But Germany is still largely a nation of laws, despite Merkel.

        Colin Flaherty’s subject, the myth of black victimization, is a classic example of the Mountain of Evidence delusion. All he can find is white (and Asian, etc) victimization BY blacks. He asks his critics to provide him with video of white violence against blacks, of white racism in general which do not date back to 1949 or 1909 or1492. I agree with him that the hoaxes are the most revealing: Covington, Jussie, the girl with the dreadlocks, the lynching noose, swastikas on the church wall. Every time the media go into a frenzy. It is hard to remember them all.

        The thing is, ALL versions of the collective fantasy are classic examples. When I argue with fools in the YouTube comments about Jimmy Savile and the like (they are always outraged that I brush the ‘victims’ aside as liars) I use that very phrase “mountain of evidence’ and invite them to pick up some of it and come back to me with it They never do.

        Soon after Trump’s election Ellrond here posted a link. it turned out to be a concert by the bass player from Pink Floyd proclaiming that “the Resistance starts here”! On my politely enquiring I was told that Trump was a racist. I did not know if this was true or not but suspected that it was not. So I asked for evidenc and none was forthcoming.

        I get an amused frisson from it. Whatever the latest witch hunt is just go into the action and tell them you do not believe them and ask them what the evidence is. Sometimes they will scream back that I must be sleepwalking: EVERYBODY knows! Evidence? There’s MOUNTAINs of it! Others are just taken aback that anyone would think of questioning it. You do not need much courage, just a little bit of nerve, because you know the odds are stacked in your favour. The frisson is wearing off now and it is just routine. Instead of evidence all there is is mountains of lies!

They also exposed Google I believe for their algorithms that search specifically for non-liberal content and points of view to censor and remove from searches.           I’m not sure Brh if this is organic to Sanders’ campaign or if the Clintonites are striking back. The reason I say that is because some people say that back in 2016 there were some fifth column type people who infiltrated Bernie’s campaign on behalf of Clinton. Those same people purposely got vicious and violent in some instances. Can’t remember the incidents that happened. But essentially the theory is that those people were plants who were put there to make Bernie Sanders and his supporters appear to be violent Leftists revolutionaries. I don’t know if any of that is true. But with the Clintons being around and about it is worthy of at least a passing consideration I would imagine. Either way the Bolsheviks are very frightening and unkind. He specifically said the Liberals will be the first to go up against the wall! So who knows what they would want to do to Conservative leaning people!

            I don’t see it. They have been repairing a section of wall and have added a small amount of new wall. Recently there was news of considerable funding being freed up by the courts.

            I think there is a lot we don’t see. The Obama years seem to have been spent warmongering and filling courts and intelligence agencies with globalist grifters.

            I suspect a lot more is coming on this issue post 2020.

            I did hear about it. I haven’t read anything that said his hat fell off so I assume it stayed on. I would like to confirm though since I will now wonder about it more than I should. Isn’t that something though! He was doing what he loved and when it was his time it’s like he just peacefully bowed out and left, literally. Most do hope for such a peaceful departure from this world. I remember in the time right before my Papaw died he started calling out to family members and friends who had already gone on. It was like he was seeing them and having interactions in the moment. He relived all sorts of events in his life. One night he preached all night to us. He wasn’t able to walk anymore in the end and yet somehow in those moments he was so present in the reality he thought existed that he thought he was walking around and traveling again. And in that time it was like he was mostly in a place somewhere between here and there but neither here nor there. He died on a quiet afternoon at home in peace. I also knew someone who had an NDE and he confirmed an experience similar to what you describe in that he literally felt like he was floating and moving towards some sort of threshold or gateway that he anticipated passing through. But then he was revived and ended up waking up back in his body.

            hmuller: Yes, Marcion of the early Church believed that Jehovah was just that. I don’t know, but certainly parts of the Old Testament aren’t for the faint hearted. And people like Akmo would seem to seal the deal, yet Christ revered the Old Testament, with the words of the Psalms always on his lips. So as you say, who knows? Perhaps the compilers didn’t have the sense to leave the bad parts out or even tell the difference between what was worthy and what was just funny history.     Isn’t it interesting that the narrative changed from Trump’s collusion with Russians to Russian interference? 

    And this business about “interference”, is anyone any further ahead on who were the anonymous sources for the assertions made in the Steele Dossier? Is it something worth investigating? Is there some way to compel Steele himself to spill the beans?  

    Could these anonymous sources have been Russian? Could they have been Russian intelligence? If so wouldn’t it suggest Democrat/Deep State collusion with Russians in doing the opposite of what’s been the story for the past three years? 

    Given that the cosmos has a rich sense of irony, maybe this turns out to be the case, that in all the noise and commotion, what we’ve seen is a fantastical case of misdirection. And isn’t it rich, that after all the blathering about Trump’s accession to power pointing to an authoritarian future, it’s Sander’s workers talking about gulags?

      Apparently, over 92% of Women in the military apply for a desk job, and there’s a huge increase in pregnancy just before deployment. Women universally can’t pass basic male physical endurance levels, and they can’t even do one pull up. Typically, they break down crying during field training. Bizarrely, when confronted by the reality of the physical differences between men and women, the women report that they feel “guilty” for having failed the feminist ideology.

      So, the Democrats want to remove from office a president who brought to the nation’s attention what is probably its most critical problem–open borders.

      True, the president never mentions endless population growth as an issue, but the fact is we will have population growth without end unless we can control our southern border. Immigrants from south of the border are mostly young, and they arrive here seething with fecundity. They put that perhaps admirable quality to work here in the USA by having babies–lots of them.

        The Dems want one major thing from the population, dependency on them, the government.

        Send all the jobs overseas, make education of the young an indoctrination process for the government, make an unworkable problem, climate change a major issue, bring in more and more untraceable immigrants to increase the population, try to shut down religion as a counter influence to the State, dupe the smaller ethnic groups and sexually different folks into thinking you care for them, when your actions show the contrary, use your foreign globalist connections to cut the throat of the country in the foreign scene, try to knock down the country in relation to overseas competition.

    Majella,

    you could well be right about the coming November results. And a Bernie win could be a salutary result for the political order in the USA showing that voters have got minds of their own (as if the Trump win didn’t tell us that already) showing also that a great many things are possible. And if Bernie gets the nod I would laugh my ass off. 

    There’s a number of “ifs” here. The main one is about what he’s about and how he presents himself. I think Mark Shields hit the nail on the head in a PBS Newshour segment right after the Nov 2016 results came out. Mark said the Democrats lost because they did too much LGBTQ and not enough kitchen table issues. In short, they dumped American workers over-board, disregarded their interests, dissed them royally, called them names. And Trump said thanks very much, I can use their votes.  

    Bernie’s an old school socialist by the sounds of him, the type I grew up with, concerned with bread and butter problems. For my part I had a lot of skepticism about the remedies that these old guys spouted, but not about where their hearts were, nor about their priorities. 

    What I’m saying is that Bernie has got to keep the focus on Main Street economic issues. Not the DOW, not gender fluidity, not intersectionality, but rather the worries in people’s minds that propelled Trump to the Oval Office. That’s the biggest “if”, “if” he can stay focused. Or will he get side-tracked and will the Democrat brain-trust sand-bag him like they did last time?  

    Of course, there’s the issue of his health. Bernie like everyone else over 50 is in the zone, one stroke or heart attack away from death or disability. 

    An old Brooklyn Jew in the White House wouldn’t be the worst thing. It’s not that he’s the least of the evils, I think he could bring to the table some positive good, at the very least putting heartland issues at the front of the line, a result consistent with happenings world-wide, like the Brexit vote (hurray for the Brits), the Frenchies rising up (Vive la France), the tumult in Hong Kong (wow, imagine defying Beijing, so hats off to Agnes and Joshua, they have got balls like church-bells) and many others.

    The next question is who would be Bernie’s running mate. Grubby politics. Yuck.

In fact, I have heard – don’t know if its true – that there are more people in slavery today than during the days of the Slave Trade. But if the Vatican is involved it isn’t just them. This is happening all over the world. And in many ways it always has happened. The only way to fight it is destroy it completely when it’s found. The problem in the West particularly is that many criminals simply get away with their dirty work because punishments are so slight that they aren’t afraid of consequences. In Saudi Arabia, if you steal, you could easily have a hand or hands chopped off. There isn’t a high crime rate in Saudi Arabia.

    John, I know what you mean and I’ve got the same reservations, hence my skepticism when the old socialists went on about things like public ownership.

    If you have a strong societal ethic for honesty and hard work, then MAYBE government can do some things right. But, as is abundantly obvious, that isn’t the case and so fiascos abound. It’s not like they’re one-offs, they’re systemic, the regular order of things. 
    I read that in New York City, 40% of high schools don’t teach chemistry or physics and one in ten students was homeless, according to one count. Incredible, isn’t it? It boggles the mind, such things in the world’s richest city, bursting at the seams with bankers’ billions and trillions, chockablock with people with the infernal fucking gall to look down on Fly-over ignoramuses. If these aren’t gross derelictions of duty, tell me what they are. And, most absurdly, given that you’re hardly dealing with cutting-edge technology, the subway system in this most educated, enlightened place is frightful, a broken-down embarrassment, worthy of a corrupt, third-world piss-hole. 

    But people in public office, elected or otherwise, socialist or otherwise, tend to rub shoulders with society’s upper crust. They socialize, their kids likewise, they go to good schools and elite universities and so people in the governing clerisy come to identify with their monied betters, and align their views accordingly. 
    And so they look after the interests of the rich, hoping for advantage to be conferred for self and offspring, praying for inclusion in the dinner party circuit and the benediction of the banker. In the fullness of time the public servant comes to regard the people they were mandated to serve as beneath their dignity, they disregard the interests of wider society, seeing these interests as unworthy and illegitimate.

    The result? Tony Baloney Blair went “New” Labour, “progressives” in Canada similarly dumped social democracy, said screw-you to industrial workers’ interests, and just like the Clinton New Democrats in the US, listened to Wall Street and bought into the pro-oligarch, de-regulatory, open-borders mantra. And then there’s Macron the Rothschild banker. Smiling, supremely confident, he insults citizens he was elected to serve and looks down on unworthies from la France profonde. 

    From the perspective of someone whose earliest recollections go back to Ike’s administration, (I suppose you could call me a mid-20th century man) it’s an unbelievable thing, something I doubt anyone would have foreseen, all over the formerly prosperous western world business interests predominated and ordinary people got shellacked. Who sez money doesn’t talk? 

    Would a Sanders presidency move the needle? It might. You have to start someplace and, improbable as it sounds, Trump’s stint might be later seen as the first nudge, Bernie’s accession another nudge. It took decades to get into this mess and, assuming the system doesn’t do a 1929-style face-plant, it will take decades to turn around. I’m not so young that I’ll ever know how it turns out.

      Those who can’t, teach,

      Those that can’t teach, administrate.

      In the legal world, those who can’t, take judgeships or if they are glib, go into politics. They have failed at their first profession and are continuously afraid of failure, ie being voted out.

      Therefore they are capable of doing anything to maintain their status quo, hence the lack of character, clinging to caucuses, inability to buck trends defending their own beliefs and also tending to play follow the leader to someone on the next step of the ladder. Their power strokes make them always trying to climb that ladder and crush anyone in their way.

      Hence, the animosity toward the newcomer Trump, “How dare you jump the chain of command”, and the formation of the Deep State, “How dare you voters disrupt our power racket?”

Since success is everything and we want the people who will fit in – the most malleable in other words, those that fit the bill are the best. Of course they have to be dependent on the Government too. Old fashioned Whites fail in this regard, no matter how good they are as employees.

    An Organic Society would have never let Capitalism define it and remake it like ours did. The only answer now is National Socialism and the New Man. And let’s face it: a low tech, peaceful society wouldn’t have worked – we would have been conquered by others long ago. Or never have taken America at all from the low tech, organic, warlike American Indians. Thus even historically, a kind of pre-technological “Fascism” was always in order. And we had exactly that. That was that organic order of that Day.

        I read in some book about the Vietnam War a story about John McCain. Apparently, John McCain was the son of some big US Navy Admiral during the Vietnam War. I read that John McCain was a second rate Navy pilot who got shot down by a Soviet Surface-to-Air Missile over Hanoi as he was coming in half-ass over Hanoi failing to make proper evasive maneuvers. The North Vietnamese shot a Soviet heat-seeking missile up his bomber’s exhaust pipe, and John MacCaine found himself swimming in that big lovely garden lake in the center of Hanoi and then quickly surrounded by a very angry horde of screaming Vietnamese girls poking him with sticks. As it turned out, it was the best thing to ever happen to John McCain. The North Vietnamese upon learning that his dad was a big US Navy Admiral treated him well. John McCain was able to then leverage his good treatment by the North Vietnamese into his legend of being a big war hero and subsequent political career in which he largely lined his pockets with grift from defense contractors by pushing very profitable wars and ever expanding military budgets. After he died a few years ago, everyone eulogized him as some big “Great Man”. And that was the story of John McCain.

    Do you remember when in the early stages of the Sexual Revolution we had the promise of Huge Hefner and the Playboy Club, and those James Bond playboy movies featuring loose chicks like “Pussy Galore”. Fifty years later, it’s Bill Cosby in prison, and “Pussy No-More”….

    And what happened to the men? 007 was very discerning in Women. Bond could spot a classy Royal Family-type woman in “Miss Money Penny” or “The Queen”.             The Spencers (Diana’s family) can trace their ancestry back to the first Duke of Marlborough, I believe.

            I think Fergie was the first ‘disaster’ for Buck House, and even she is related to Charles II through some of his illegitimate children. The Queen’s children mostly married commoners – although the only one to stay married to his ‘first’ is Prince Edward, so far.

            So by the time it got to William there was little justification for pressure – no need to marry either a virgin or an aristo.

          I don’t know, Majella. I don’t take that much of an interest but it’s a nice idea that she got her own back on her cheating coward of a husband. James Hewitt apparently says Harry was born before their affair started but only they know and perhaps some of what they say has a taste of the Mandy Rice-Davis-es about it (‘well, they would say that, wouldn’t they?’).

          I don’t see the Windsors in Harry myself but that doesn’t mean anything. He could be a bit more like the Spencers but not her, I suppose. I wouldn’t put money on him not being Charles’ son but who knows, really?

      Water is like every other resource. Infrastructure is insufficient and falling apart. It is another sign of the times, there is not enough capital around to support necessary infrastructure that is the responsibility of the various levels of government. Just like increasing homelessness, it is a sign that overpopulation of the US is starting to overwhelm the capability of its governments to support the folks.

          Yes this time. Regulations are only as good as the money required to enforce them. Thirty year old infrastructure falls apart, it needs to be rebuilt. That is all of it, including nuclear waste disposal, toxic chemical disposal, pipes, highways, electrical systems, power plants, computer systems.

          Our illustrious elite love it when they can insert computer systems, for example, but wait a minute, what do you mean I have to maintain and periodically replace them. You promised me increased productivity not recurrent increased costs.

          It is the same with everything else, no one wants to rebuild.

          Flint Michigan happened at a time of increased regulation. Crooked elite accomplished that.

          We have been waiting for a bipartisan infrastructure bill for two years from the losers in the Deep State. Oh, no. We have to get Trump. BTW, Trump is the author of the bill.

          For once, put the blame where it belongs.

    I believe it was Schiff that stated that they Senate has to remove Trump and we cannot trust the 2020 election because the voters will be swayed by Trump’s influence.

    In other words, we are not capable of making a choice in the fall and the voters be damned.

    It is even worse than JHK has been talking about. The have declared war on the basic tenet of the republic, the vote. The uniparty coup attempt has been spoken aloud now.

      It’s not just the Democratic Party though in the end. It’s a broad swath of most people involved in politics altogether. Most academics, most journalists, really all positions of power are suspect now. Anyone that is not America First should be suspect really. But that is the very problem. At least half of the country is not America First whatsoever (many aren’t real Americans) and wants to see the country fundamentally changed from what it was founded to be. The time for words and brains and conversations and false pleasantries is coming to an end. And a time of sheer power and brawn is arriving. Who has it in them to take the reins of power? The Marxists seem the most enthusiastic to take control and they don’t care how they do it. They aren’t going to play by rules and so far that is working for them quite well. Conservatives and Traditionalists honestly seem weak and tepid. Unless there is an overwhelming counterpunch without such a deep concern for following rules then I suspect they will win. At that point we will have no choice but to join the Muslims since they are really the only other people group directly fighting the Globalists.

There is no defense against the majority. The success of the Left is the gradual, two generations worth, development of a majority of “non normal” folks. The biggest change is their dependence on the government and a general lack of concern about their own liberty. The illegals are the best example, they have never known anything but government dependence, and they carry their dependence here.

        Two countries that have fought diversity, Israel and Japan, do not face this Leftist takeover. China too. Maybe that is why the Soros crowd have zeroed in on the US for takeover. We are easy pickings.

      You may be right about our economic trajectory. Surely a massively growing population complete with millions and millions crossing the border without incident is going to tighten available resource supplies to the point where the daily struggle to survive is going to be a thing again for most people.

      And hey, at least your leaders fight for you. Ours would rather feed us to dogs and for us to just die. At this point I would happily replace the White Elite with Jewish Aristocrats if the Jewish Aristocrats were equally loyal to us. I just don’t imagine that will ever occur though.

    Sophia, I’m getting to be a cranky old fart and I can tell you all about aging. 

    Age is a problem in political leaders, especially presidents, not just because of advancing decrepitude and decreasing cognitive function, but because people tend to fight the last war. While experience counts for something, so does inexperience.

    I saw it in the business world, and you maybe saw it, this is how we’ve always done it, this is how we look at things, this is the culture of the company. Yeah and so what say the young turks. And maybe the young turks should be listened to. 

    You see it all the time. French leadership post WW1 were fixated on an approach of static lines of defense, just like in WW1, which were of no use against an adversary whose officer corp was a hive of entrepreneurial innovation and who espoused mobile warfare. “Blitzkreig” they called it, or “lightning war” in English. And the consequences for France and for Europe were catastrophic. 

    Times change whether for the better or otherwise and for myself, I’m like the rest of them, I blather on and on about how things were 50 and 60 and 70 years ago. Did you notice my story about how French generals missed the boat on Blitzkreig? Long ago that was. That’s what I’m talking about, we live in the past. 

    And it would be fine insofar as historical lessons can be learned, but then historical lessons are of limited use in plotting out the future. And besides, nobody learned from history and nobody ever will. 

    That constitutional amendment to limit presidents to two terms was a great idea.

    George Zimmerman, American Thinker, January 20, 2020 via American Renaissance.

    I love just about all Clint Eastwood movies, but Richard Jewell is in a class by itself. This one was personal. This one Clint Eastwood made for me. Only a handful of people in America know what it’s like to be Richard Jewell and unfortunately, I’m one of them. Mr. Eastwood got it right. Two thumbs up!

    I rarely ever go to the movies. Nearly seven years after my acquittal in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, I still have to be very cautious about where I go. A few years ago, a man took a shot at me and missed my head by inches. He will be in prison for another dozen years or so, but every time I see my name trend on Twitter, I am reminded there are people out there who would like to pick up where the assassin left off.

    My gut reaction in watching Richard Jewell was sadness. The film reminded me just how much heartache an accusation this heinous puts a parent through. For those who don’t know the story, Richard found a suspicious backpack in Centennial Park in Atlanta during the 1996 Olympics. He alerted authorities to the backpack and helped clear the area.

    Two people were killed when the bomb inside the backpack went off, but many more would have been killed if Richard had not acted on his suspicions. For a brief period, people called him a hero, but then the media and the FBI turned on him and accused him without evidence of being an attention-seeking security guard. They call it “trial by media,” and it is beyond horrible.

    This movie hit home. I absolutely identified. Richard and I were both cop wannabes — or so the media told us. We were both gullible. We both believed law enforcement had our best interests at heart. We both believed reporters wanted the truth. We both believed everyone was basically good and then we both realized what fools we had been to believe all that.

    As I sat there in the dark, my stomach in knots, I found myself wishing Richard was still alive so I could reach out and hug him and tell him, “Yes, Richard, you are a hero.”

    I know as only a few others do how gut wrenching it is to be at the center of the storm like this. You can only imagine what people think of you. You worry that everyone thinks you are the monster the media created.

    Emotionally, I struggled. I imposed a kind of house arrest on myself. I did not want to see people or be seen. I questioned everyone’s intentions, even those close to me. Yes, I was acquitted, but after the trial, when the head prosecutor Angela Corey was asked to sum me up in a word, she said “murderer.” I was devastated. In watching the movie, I was reminded of how my mother must have felt to hear this.
    After the trial it took me years to regain my balance. At the time I was thinking if people want to look at me as a villain, I will be that villain, the hell with them all. Without the unconditional love of my parents I never would have pulled out of that spiral.

    This is something else Richard and I had in common — a fierce, loving mother. Kathy Bates, who played Richard’s mom, gave a heart stopping performance. She is nominated for an Academy Award. She deserves to win.

    One advantage I had over Richard was a father who loved me just as much as my mother did. One advantage we both had was a gladiator of an attorney who always had our back. For me, that was Don West. I am thankful Mark O’Mara took my case, but it was West who won my confidence. When you go through an ordeal as intense as the one Richard and I did, it is essential to have someone who totally believes in you.

    Richard died at 44 of natural causes. I have got to believe the stress of it all shortened his life. He did not get the chance to see himself vindicated on screen. Yes, he was cleared before he died, but that story was buried. So many people who just read the headlines still remembered him as a glory-seeking loser.

    The people who just read the headlines still think I stalked and murdered a little boy because he was black. They have no idea that Trayvon was a skilled street fighter, a half a foot taller than me, who attacked me out of nowhere as I was walking to my car.

    I am grateful for the vindication that Joel Gilbert’s brilliant new film, The Trayvon Hoax, provides me. Joel may not be Clint Eastwood, but he is a truth teller of the first order. I am thankful too to all those people who stood by me when the world told them not to.
    At the end of the day, Richard Jewell and I had something else in common — we knew who our real friends were.

    JS: Don’t be fooled by the heart rending humility and nice guy exterior – this is a Great Man, a Warrior in all senses of the word. Now and then the clouds slip away to reveal the glory of this Soul – such as when anyone comes up against him. One is reminded of Jeremiah Johnson. None of the Crow Braves who sought him out to scalp him ever returned after finding him. The Force was strong with him as it is with George.

And the Jews didn’t identify with him since descent goes thru the mother, at least I assume that’s why. In any case, he was a sacrificial lamb despite being exactly what the Elite say they want. Perhaps they don’t really value mutts after all? Or just for us but not for themselves? Because it weakens a populace and make them easy to control since they are disunited.

            Christianity that’s defined as non-Roman Catholic and non-Eastern Orthodox Romanism. It’s only very recently that pro Jewish/Israel Evangelical Christianity which rejects both Romanisms mentioned above came into being. So how recent is recent? Google it yourself!

    In all fairness to the Iranians (called Persians before 1935), I think that it’d be tough living next to such nasty people as the A-rabs? There are Muslims, and then there are A-rabs…. I read a book once which said that the favorite dish of a member of the Saudi Royal Family (huge, obese bloke) at the time was a McDonald’s Big Mac served on a tray made of solid gold. True story…. And the Saudi’s give huge bucks to the American Elite….. I read that shortly after 911 the Bushes surreptitiously spirited a bunch of Saudi’s out of the US before the F…BI knocked on their doors. This was a huge priority for the Bush family.

    The A-rabs used to be big investors in Manhattan real estate. And then the Russian oligarchs started laundering money in Manhattan real estate. Trump made big money allegedly laundering dirty Russian money into Manhattan real estate through Cyprus banks. Apparently, this is common knowledge in the legal community in New York City. They could have probably legitimately dragged Trump through the mud for that, but the Hitch was that the Russians that Trump was colluding with were Putin’s enemies or “Our Russians”. Go figure….

    America was never meant to be an Empire. America was never meant to have a large central government with a permanent standing army. It’s all Gone Wrong…as all Empires do eventually…, It’s now definitely got that “End of Empire” feel to it, like the “Corinthian Leather” in those 1970’s Ricardo Montalban Chrysler Córdoba TV commercials.

    I see that Trump and McConnell are talking about doing some cuts to Social Security and Medicare and Medicaid. Saw this news in the LA Times. Apparently they need the cuts to offset that trillion dollar tax break they gave to the wealthy. I’m sitting pretty good because I took care of business when it counted, but I know some hard core Republicans who have nothing but SS to count on. I suppose Trump’s gonna fix them up just like he did with the farmers when he raised the tariffs on China.

    The farmers up here around me, are whining pretty loud about that one, and of course the delicious irony is that most of them are conservatives and MAGA boys who just love Donald. By the time the National Conservative Party gets done with us, we’ll all be out there pickin’ shit with the chickens. Most of us, any way. I’ll do pretty good and isn’t that all that really counts?

      Why do we refer to Hate as though it is a normal state instead of a sign of insanity. Hate hate hate. People who hate others for no other reason than color, or political leaning are crazy.

      Maybe societal acceptance of the state of Hate is a sign of the times today.

      I will guarantee you one thing, if things keep going in the Hate direction, it will not make any difference who wins the political games of 2020, this country is done and will start balkanizing next year. It will be interesting how that will occur, but it definitely will.

        I don’t think hate is as prevalent as you think it is. People on this site likely consume a lot of media both mainstream and non, otherwise they would likely not be here, as JHK is not all that well-known in the grand scheme of things. We seek information (most of us).

        You are currently being exposed to an inordinate amount of hate by following politics, by design. This is particularly true if you visit social media sites like Twitter, where their algorithms promote certain content and supress other content.

        I recall there was an ex-Tweetface bigwig saying that he strongly regretted his role in developing various social media sites, as SM is designed to make one fearful and anxious.

      Yes, I agree. The first duty of the Conqueror (that’s Us boys and girls – just like the Black lady just said) is to bear the hatred of the Conquered. But we pretended that they loved us or something. And then when that became too preposterous to bear (cuz the mind hates dissonance), we admitted they were right and we were wrong and not only evil, but uniquely evil. That they (the Indians) were the real Americans, not us. Now they would love us! Ditto with the Blacks in a different way. Now the same with the Hispanics.

      We should have just admitted the Truth – and remained the Bad Asses they said we were and that in fact we once were. Their hatred will never end, now we have simply added contempt to it as well. It will end when we end – and that end is coming.
