Who knew that reality could become such a squishy thing in the USA? But such are the agonies of a collapsing society that it becomes ever harder to know what’s real, especially with factions in power intent on gaslighting, manipulating, obfuscating, and coercing the raw material of public opinion, which is: what has actually happened in the past and what is happening now.

When I wrote The Long Emergency, I expected we would be living through a period of confusion and disorder, but I didn’t know what it would feel like to go through it: a nauseating existential disorientation, like being seasick on dry land… like living in a German expressionist horror movie of the 1920s (and we know what that led to)… like being held prisoner inside Franz Kafka’s castle: an immersion in totalizing falsehood.

The collapse of authority is especially striking and disturbing now because ground zero for it is the US Department of Justice (DOJ), the very place that is charged with determining what is true and what is false, what is real and what is unreal, and especially what is okay, and what is not okay.

The collapse of authority at DOJ got sickening traction after the election of 2016, when FBI Director James Comey and his underlings, along with many high officials at its parent agency, DOJ, undertook a campaign to disable and expel the winner of that election, starting before his inauguration. The Russia Collusion operation was the epitome of falsehood concocted in bad faith, and the actions taken in it were never adjudicated — though an ectoplasm named John Durham is floating somewhere out in the national ether, still delegated to make cases. Leaving all that hanging this long has been a grievous injury to the country’s identity as a place on this earth where fair play was supposed to be normal.

The Mueller Investigation was another insult to the public interest, devised to distract and cover up the all the previous seditious bad faith of Comey & Company, and the C-suite at DOJ — and, of course, the Special Counsel came up with absolutely nothing actionable, which was stunning considering the resources behind it, and the time spent. At a Senate hearing about it in 2018, Robert Mueller himself claimed to be unacquainted with key characters in his own investigation and key pieces of evidence. His performance was worse than not reassuring — he appeared to be lying or incompetent, or pretending to be incompetent, and since that moment he has gone-to-ground… untouchable.

Impeachment No. 1 was supposedly about a phone call that the President made to his counterpart in Ukraine, Mr. Zelensky, regarding suspicious activity of one Hunter Biden receiving large sums of money from a gas company there while his father was Vice-president. At the time, the FBI (and the DOJ) did not disclose their possession of a laptop computer owned by Hunter Biden containing hundreds of memoranda and emails detailing the Biden family’s lucrative business dealings in Ukraine and several other foreign countries, involving sums of money far greater than the Burisma Company of Ukraine was paying Joe Biden’s son, and how the income was split between the family members. In other words, evidence that then-Vice-president Joe Biden himself was on the take from foreign countries, including companies linked directly with the communist party of China. Not important, you think? Not germane to the impeachment?

Why was that information not turned over to the president’s lawyers during the initial hearings and then the impeachment trial itself? That has never been adequately addressed, not even a little, and largely because the mainstream media does not want to know, and didn’t ask, while the alt.media does not have access to ask the officials who might know — and Congress, under Mrs. Pelosi and Chuck Schumer certainly didn’t want to ask or know. Do you appreciate how damaging this act of institutional dishonesty was?

Then there was the election of 2020, held under the Covid-19 emergency, with new rules about mail-in voting that lent themselves to fraud — or so declared former President Jimmy Carter and former Secretary of State James Baker, who ran a commission on election reform in 2005 — and that appears to be exactly what happened. The specious and dishonest claim is made by the putative winners that the matter was completely settled in the courts post-election. That is simply not true. The actual evidence was not entertained, most particularly not by the Supreme Court, which declined on the basis of “standing,” a mere point of procedure.

Now there is one official forensic audit of the 2020 election underway in Maricopa County, Arizona, (the Phoenix metro area), ordered by the State Senate, and some conclusions from phase one, involving the paper ballots, are due to be released this week, with additional phases to come concerning the Dominion voting machines. Many other state legislatures sent delegations to Arizona to learn the ins-and-outs of conducting a forensic audit, and they are making noises about actually doing it.

So, in stepped Attorney General Merrick Garland. At the start of the Arizona audit, he sent a letter to the Arizona State Senate threatening to use the Civil Rights Division of the DOJ to halt the audit on the basis of depriving voters of their civil rights. Arizona responded by promising to jail any federal officials who laid their hands on any ballots. That was the end of that gambit for now — they may try it again in phase two.

In the meantime, a county judge in Georgia (one Brian Amero) has ruled that 147,000-odd ballots alleged to have chain-of-custody problems must be made available for inspection, and also that five members of the Fulton County (Atlanta Metro Area) Board of Elections are now individually parties to the lawsuit brought by nine Georgia voters, and may be subject to deposition (being questioned under oath). That is believed to be the beginning of an effort to conduct a full audit in Georgia.

So, again, in steps Attorney General Merrick Garland with his Civil Rights Division, led by political activist Kristen Clarke, bringing a lawsuit against the Georgia election reform act passed earlier this year — a shot over Georgia’s bow, shall we say. Ms. Clarke happens to be a colleague of Georgia activist Stacey Abrams, a former Democratic candidate for governor. Ms. Abrams is also a part-owner of a company, NOWAccount, that does payroll for a private company called Happy Faces, which furnished dozens of poll workers to tally the 2020 election in Georgia, as well as the 2021 US Senate runoff election that put two Democrats, Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, in office.

Elections are supposed to be conducted by public officials, not by private entities. Supposedly, the Georgia election officials turned to Happy Faces because it was a way to avoid hiring workers for less than 30 hours-a-week, which would have otherwise required providing them with health care under ObamaCare, the ACA Act. Was that legal? It has not been adjudicated.

Nor has the much bigger scandal of a private Chicago-based non-profit called the Center for Tech and Civic Life, which received $350-million from Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg to arrange grants targeted at swing districts in Democratic strongholds such as Milwaukee, Detroit, Philadelphia, and Atlanta, for the purpose of hiring ballot harvesters, among other activities. Mr. Zuckerberg met with Kristen Clarke, Stacey Abrams, Al Sharpton, and other Democratic activists at a dinner in 2019, at which he promised to help. Did his help cross any legal boundaries? It has not been investigated, nor has the use of the company he runs, Facebook, in its campaign to influence public opinion by blocking news and deleting accounts of non-Democrats exclusively.

Assistant AG Kristen Clarke’s DOJ lawsuit against Georgia’s election reform act alleges that it “imposes substantial fines on third-party organizations, churches, and advocacy groups that send follow up absentee ballot applications, and requires new and unnecessarily stringent identification requirements to obtain an absentee ballot.”  In other words, the Georgia law seeks to restrict the activities of private, non-official entities — such as the Center for Tech and Civic Life — sprinkling gargantuan sums of money over key election districts to influence the outcome. Or for companies such as Happy Faces to supply activists for counting votes. That is how disingenuous Merrick Garland’s DOJ is, now a strictly political operation.

We haven’t nearly seen the end to any of this, nor the reaction that it is liable to provoke among citizens who have had enough of being played by their own government. Think about all  that while you make plans to celebrate the Fourth of July, a holiday that commemorates an earlier time when the people of this land had enough of being played by their rulers.

“I don’t know if you appreciate how damaging this act of institutional dishonesty was.”

    Oh, we know.

We just don’t want to get arrested by the secret police.

    • bluedog June 28, 2021 at 9:26 pm #

Looks like we are going to be reliving this until the next most important election ever, which I’m sure will be in 2024 or even perhaps 2028 when another election will be stolen like the 2000 and 2004 elections were, which led us to the war on terror, and I’m sure now the next one will find another war to lead us to.

      • Uncle Bob June 28, 2021 at 11:17 pm #

That war has begun. You and your party have decided to make war on your fellow Americans for not being self-righteously woke enough, and for thinking America could recapture its past glory. And then you bring up your party’s attempts to steal the 2000 and 2004 elections from someone who turned out to be as much of a globalist stooge as the two dolts he beat.

Apparently they know that we know that they are all just a crime syndicate, which is why they still have the Capitol fenced off and guarded, long after the insurrection that never was?

  2. NickelthroweR June 28, 2021 at 10:07 am #

The Democrats that I personally have all admitted to me that they believe the election to be “stolen” but it is okay because it was for a higher cause – the removal of Hitler-Trump.

The Republic is dead and you and me must accept that we are living behind enemy lines and act accordingly until the slow-motion collapse winds its way down to the Great Reset.

Speaking of Great Reset, I do not think the Reset will be the one that the WEF has in mind. Ya know, the Politbureau thought they had things under control too but a small group of people can not manage millions of people as they are learning now.

Case in point. There is a severe shortage of drivers now. For more than a year, new drivers were not trained and licensed. Again, this was done to remove Trump from office but now we have a problem moving things around as the price of fuel is up 50%, many drivers would rather collect unemployment than drive into BLM/Antifa territory where the rule of law is gone and, of course, no new drivers were created this past year.

I can tell you this: I manufacture precision tools used by engineers. We are unable to acquire the parts necessary to continue with operations. The parts we must have are simply unavailable. You guys should all expect a total breakdown of our supply chain and will probably see it by end of summer.

It’s funny, Nickel, I was trying to have a sane discussion with a ‘conservative’ about why the Clinton impeachment was just as egregious as the Trump ones.

She finally came out with, yes the excuse was ridiculous, but perhaps “they” decided he was so bad they had to get him out of there.

      • hmuller June 28, 2021 at 12:54 pm #

The Clinton impeachment set a dangerous precedent. Sure he was a scumbag in more ways than one. The impeachers chose to focus on his sex life. Big mistake. It set the standard very low.

The reasons cited for Trump’s two impeachments were even more trivial. One might think it all an elaborate practical joke. But the deep state rodents were serious.

        • Uncle Bob June 28, 2021 at 11:22 pm #

What? You think Washington rats would risk possibly exposing their own sins by bringing up Clinton’s illegal arms deals with China and closing off coal reserves for the benefit of overseas interests that made illegal campaign contributions to him? Why risk a good thing, when we can use smoke, mirrors, and the “news media” to feed us a line we’ll buy so that we can perpetuate the myth of integrity in government?

      • MisterBimmler June 28, 2021 at 8:55 pm #

This put me in mind of Jack Lemmon in what was that film, “Prisoner of 2d Avenue freaking out while his wife is trying to figure out what he means by ‘They.’ ‘Them’ and ‘The Plot’

        • hmuller June 28, 2021 at 9:15 pm #

That 1975 movie is based on a 1971 Neil Simon Broadway hit. I remember watching it on TV many years ago. Noteworthy is a cameo appearance by a young Sylvester Stallone as a suspected pickpocket.

    • MaryQueen June 28, 2021 at 11:21 am #

There is zero point in talking politics with Democrats. They have no clue what’s going on. They live in The Truman Show.

Yes, things are going to break down. I don’t know if they will pull off the Great Reset but they are going to create climate change lockdown.

We’re already seeing them test the water on ridiculousness such as trees spreading the Delta variant via allergies.

They’ve trotted out Ferguson and Fauxi to further fearmonger, even though both have been reviled and discredited.

      • Night Owl June 28, 2021 at 11:23 am #

Think about how many of the drones are going to lose their mind on the tree narrative.

“OMG, I am tired and can’t breathe well. OMG THE COVID, I HAVE THE COVID”

There is no end to this fucking idiocy.

        • Beryl of Oyl June 28, 2021 at 11:44 am #

Speaking of trees and breathing, somebody recently sent me a video claiming it was because of government “experts” that we have such an increase in allergies.

That sounded a little wild, but hey, how many times have we seen government “experts” as the root of some problem, so I checked it out.

There is some truth to it.

          https://www.atlasobscura.com/articles/seasonal-allergies-blame-male-trees

They tried to blame this on “climate change”, why wouldn’t they use the COVID?

          • oswegatchie June 28, 2021 at 3:12 pm #

            Goverment “experts”. Hahahahaha

            Hahahahaha!

            Blame males, yet again.

For everything! I’m surprised it didn’t say, blame WHITE male trees.

          • Blackbird June 28, 2021 at 10:46 pm #

What exactly is an “expert”? Let’s use the fine art of semantics and see if we can uncover the true meaning…

            “X” = an unknown quantity
“spurt” = a drip under pressure

            Sounds about right.

Regarding plants and allergies: when you think about the indiscriminate way that male plants saturate the atmosphere with their precious bodily fluids, Harvey Weinstein’s embarrassing inter-species relationship with a houseplant might not be considered all that weird among plants…

        • MaryQueen June 28, 2021 at 11:49 am #

I seriously wonder what exactly has been done to their brains. I get that it’s a combo of fearmongering, psychological programming, and propagand, but this level of unawareness and idiocy is so off the charts.

        • abbybwood June 28, 2021 at 1:35 pm #

Now they are trying to scare the Bejesus out of the unvaccinated because of the new killer “Delta” variant.

“Joe Biden” said in the last few days that the Delta variant of Covid 19 is “more contagious and more dangerous” and ALL Americans must get the jabs.

But scientists/doctors are admitting that when the Covid 19 virus mutates it will become degrees weaker, not stronger.

Even in India now Delta is bottoming out.

Biden and Co. are using fear-porn to try coercion against Americans to get their jabs.

And as they’re doing this they are currently bombing sites in Syria and Iraq as their war game exercise takes flight (Sea Breeze) in The Black Sea with 35 countries (including Ukraine) and 5000 troops.

“Joe Biden”: the dotard war president.

          • outatime43 June 28, 2021 at 2:45 pm #

Technically, when a virus mutates it can go either way. It can become weaker, stronger or no real effect. The weaker ones fade out into the environment while the stronger ones continue infecting humans. Natural selection is a rule for non living viruses as well as all the rest of us living things.

The reason why the vaccine should work is that all these variants still infect via the same pathway (ACE 2 receptors).

Now, if a “variant” shows up that infects via a completely new (or old) pathway, then we’re in trouble. It also means that natural evolutionary processes are not in play and serious questions need to be asked without the bs.

          • Tekapo June 28, 2021 at 7:14 pm #

Natural selection is a rule for non living viruses as well as all the rest of us living things.

Stand by for predictable comments stating without qualification that Evolution is a myth propagated by the Davos Globalists to enslave the world.

It also means that natural evolutionary processes are not in play and serious questions need to be asked without the bs.

Is the implication of this that the vaccines themselves apply evolutionary pressure on the viruses so that variants that “choose” other paths that by-pass the vaccine protection will prosper?

          • Blackbird June 28, 2021 at 10:54 pm #

I’m holding out for the Omega variant – worked well for Charlton Heston. We’re only on Delta?

Trees spreading Covid? Well, I’m not surprised. They’ve ignored all social distancing mandates. Always suspect the tall, strong, and quiet ones.

          • outatime43 June 28, 2021 at 2:47 pm #

I think they mean that allergic people are sneezing, coughing, etc and might be more prone to spreading the virus if they have that as well.

        Gotta love this title:

“Delta variant poses increased risk for unvaccinated”

Scamming the vaxxxed to get people to antagonize free thinkers that see this faux shit for what it is. Fear porn.

            Pathetic.

          • Tekapo June 29, 2021 at 2:42 am #

MaryQ – you inability to avoid ad hominem attacks on new posters is decidedly odd.

And anybody who doesn’t hold your paranoid fear-driven and shadow-jumping world view is NOT by definition a troll.

Also this creepy passive-aggressive stance (which you have caught from the Dude in Germany) that any new person here isn’t welcomed, but is ripe for attack, and further that it “must” be a second handle by an existing or former regular.

You’re sounding very untidy and unhinged. The forum deserves better – by all means debate the issues with new posters, but don’t go the full mongrel, please. It’s not a war of wills – it’s a forum for discussion.

And the person made a very good point – most of those requiring hospitalisation are unvaccinated – as you would expect.

          • Tekapo June 29, 2021 at 2:48 am #

          • Uncle Bob June 29, 2021 at 6:47 am #

And interestingly, the people most at risk of dying have been shot full of mRNA poison, er inoculation.

Tekapo, you have no idea how much some of us love being talked down to by you. Just because you love the shuck-and-jive being perpetrated on America by your fellow subversives doesn’t mean you’re correct or have the right to “finish the job” of making Karl Marx’s masturbatory fantasies come true. If you don’t like people telling you to STFU, mayhap you should hod the to the Daily KOS.

That’s “hie thee to the Daily KOS.” Damn autocorrect.

I much prefer the cut and thrust here Uncle Bob (and JHK’s essays) – The Daily Kos is okay for broad-based progressive news, but it’s full of boring lefties.

        • ThorsHammer June 28, 2021 at 2:52 pm #

COVID variants that form the third and fourth wave of the Fear Cycle are the product of viral genetic selectivity when confronted by the extreme targeted modality of the Pfizer/Moderna genetic immune system modifiers.

The new wave of “cases” are a purely political construct— an artifact of using PCR as the testing protocol and then altering the number of amplifications to produce the desired outcome thus proving the success of “vaccines”; Along with the recent CDC instructions to not bother testing the “fully vaccinated;” since they are immune and nobody needs to know test results. And use the Cr of 45 when testing the un-vaccinated. in order to maximize false positives and move them along toward being shot.

By the way the latest official VAERS data report over 6,000 vaccine related deaths in the US and the equivalent European voluntary reporting system (EudraVigilance ) places their death total at over 16,000 and serious adverse events at over 750,000. This from a voluntary reporting system that historical studies show only reports 1 in 100 events. Any other vaccine roll out would have been immediately shut down. As a matter of fact the Pfizer/Moderna experimental mRNA shots have killed more people that all of the other adverse reactions to all other vaccines in the entire history of medicine. Arrayed against these facts is the most successful propaganda and misinformation system the world has ever seen. And the Malignant Overlords are winning.

Draw your own conclusions as to how much more dangerous being “vaccinated” is than remaining shot free. And then keep in mind that having your immune system permanently altered has implications for your entire remaining life, not just whether you will have a cardiac arrest or miscarriage immediately after being shot.

          • MaryQueen June 28, 2021 at 3:53 pm #

Thank you. Only a fraction of the deaths and injuries from vaccines are reported to VAERS also

          • aibohphobia June 28, 2021 at 4:38 pm #

I think you are missing the point, ThorsHammer–
If there are 6000 deaths from the COVID vaccine, and 500,000 unvaccinated people have died from COVID in the same population, it is still less risky to get the vaccine than it is to go without and risk COVID.
No one is in favor of people dying from COVID. You can’t tax dead people, and the treatments given to the dying are very expensive. For these reasons alone, we can be pretty sure that there are no Malignant Overlords.
As for the immune system, every germ you encounter alters your immune system permanently for life. So what?
The real situation is more likely that we have ‘experts’ at the top who have never seen anything like this before, and they are hoping to muddle through it and keep their jobs with benefits. That’s what I think, and it shakes me to the core.
But If it is more comforting to you to believe that there are Malignant Overlords with an Evil Plan Against US– By all means, think what you like. Whatever lets you sleep at night….

            aibohphobia

Statistics in the hands of someone who can’t add are a dangerous thing.

What is the meaning of 6,000 plus 16,000 deaths in a voluntary system that has been demonstrated to under-report by a factor of 100 to 1? Certainly every one of those under-reported adverse events was not a death, but the idea that every single death has been reported by a voluntary system structured such that reporting is onerous and time consuming and may result in censure and even loss of your job is certainly false.. So when put in context the expert estimates of 4 or 5x the reported VAERS numbers being close to reality are conservative. Those 24,000 to 30,000 annual deaths from mRNA vaccines in the USA are close to the numbers on the death certificates where the examiner had the courage to accurately report the deaths as due to COVID instead of ignoring a co- morbidity like a massive heart attack in a 85 year old man. And we are just at the first base of results for the largest untested medical experiment in human history.

If you really believe that there have been 500,000 deaths from COVID in the US in the past year you must be suffering from Brain Parasites!) When hospitals are paid a bonus to report every patient that dies within their walls as a death from COVID and issue instructions to staff to comply? (as reported last June by an acquaintance who is a senior surgical nurse at Barnes Medical Center in St. Louis) And that 500,000 death toll somehow occurred with hardly a bump on the normal annual total death count? And miraculously eliminated the flu from the face of the earth along the way?

You are welcome to believe that Zukerberg, Bezos,Gates, and Fauci are not Malignant Overlords if you wish—-but you really have to keep your eyes wide shut.

But If it is more comforting to you to believe that there are Malignant Overlords with an Evil Plan Against US– By all means, think what you like.

Yes – they’re entitled to think what they like, but it sure gets wearisome when they repeat it in post after post.

My biggest intellectual objection to the Malignant Overlords Paranoia is that to the conspiracists it explains everything, but to everyone else it explains exactly nothing. It’s like the God Delusion – if you believe in an all-powerful deity then everything can be explained by “it’s god’s will” and similar homilies.

Analysis of the affairs of human being, with causes that are very much political, never get done … it’s them Malignant Overlords, and those with the plush chairs at Davos. Gets us nowhere.

The fact that the lawyers for the losers could not get any of the judges to rule on evidence about election fraud must mean the judges are bent or have drunk the cool-aid from their Malignant Overlords. So the conspiracists can avoid the heavy lifting to try and understand WHY all those cases failed, right up to a bought-and-paid-for Supreme Court. But too hard.

I really hope whatever organization is paying you to troll this site is giving you a bonus, because you really are quite good at it.

Case in point: Instead of replying to the factual basis of my post describing the emerging pattern of adverse reactions and deaths from the experimental mRNA therapies you use diversion to attack a particular descriptive phrase I used (“Malignant Overlords”) which is peripheral to the important issues I raised.

          • Tekapo June 29, 2021 at 4:10 pm #

Along with the recent CDC instructions to not bother testing the “fully vaccinated;” since they are immune and nobody needs to know test results.

Sounds sensible to me – why expend limited resources testing the vaccinated in a broad-brush way? Would seem only to be required if doing very focused contact tracing in a hotspot or cluster.

          • MaryQueen June 30, 2021 at 2:55 pm #

@Thor, the trolls here haven’t even figured out yet that ‘cases’ is a propaganda construct and the PCR tests are garbage.

Looks like they are out in full force because of this post. Must have hit a nerve.

[…] attack a particular descriptive phrase I used (“Malignant Overlords”) which is peripheral to the important issues I raised.

I respectfully disagree. Firstly I do not troll – I provide a perspective and a political-philosophical view that is different … I do not deliberately and egregiously provoke. Calling someone with different views a “troll” is trolling in itself.

And you’re not alone – there’s quite a few on here who try the same tactic.

As for the “Malignant Overlords” comment being peripheral, I also disagree. Once you’re convinced of the Big Conspiracy then everything looks fixed and evil. I don’t buy it … it’s actually a clusterfuck.

As for adverse reactions, of course they happen, but they should be seen as a percentage of total doses, and risk compared to those from catching Covid-19 – especially for those over 70.

I certainly don’t buy the scuttlebutt that these mRNA vaccines are inherently dangerous … they are more state-of-the-art.

They are inching toward coercion. And today Pfizer announced it is asking the FDA for approval to jab 5-12 year olds in time for school this fall!

There are two largely contrived ‘realities’ which have been created through the magic of modern Bernays-ian propaganda techniques. A lot of people want to imagine it’s a scheme by ‘Cultural Marxists’ or ‘The Chinese’ or on the other side ‘Russia’ or “The Oath Keepers’ to destroy Our Glorious Democracy. Which has always been a Plutocracy with Democratic Characteristics.
So pick your ‘Plot’. Anyone else remember how the net was closing on ‘The Cabal’?(record number of sealed indictmnents Where We Go One We Go All!)) ! Well another net was supposedly closing on Trump but – hey! nope. A meaningless indictment of some sort may be issued. But life goes on for the ex President. Good luck bringing Fuaci to bay. • Tekapo June 29, 2021 at 3:16 am #

Which has always been a Plutocracy with Democratic Characteristics.

Indeed – it morphed in the century starting in 1776 from an agrarian society ruled by the land-owning elites (the sons of those who got to the colonies early), with a side salad of slavery to serve the semi-tropical plantations, to an industrial one.

By 1876, it was being transformed into a manufacturing giant, fuelled by abundant natural resources and lots of immigrant labor … the aristocratic ruling class moved from the Virginia plantations to the elegant brownstones of NYC, Boston, and Chicago, but the power relations changed very little.

I agree that the cultural motifs that are used are often utterly ridiculous – even without venturing into the collective insanity of conspiracy theories. It isn’t Marxist and it isn’t Far Right.

It is capitalism, it is about money and power, and dividing up the cake with such extreme inequality that it can make your eyes water. Politicians are bought in clear daylight. Most people don’t get it – so they lash out when their good unionised job in Akron Ohio winds up in a sweatshop in Shanghai or Saigon.

I didn’t “admit” or “confess” to anything – there was dark secret exposed. I quite clearly and matter-of-fact stated that Marx invented the discipline of political economy, and was the sharpest mind on the subject to ever live.

And everybody who studied political economy or political history seriously would have done so within a strong Marxist framework. It is historical; materialism … or less grandly, “Follow the Money”.

If you have a solid understanding of class, power, and the state apparatus that are deployed to maintain those power relations, you never have to become vulnerable to – a victim of – Grand Conspiracy Theories.

I’m not a communist – far too bourgeois for that, and I distrust all zealotry – but the “solutions” to the massive problems of America are not going to come from the fringe right or people in red caps or coonskin costumes … they hopefully will arise through democratic socialist enlightenment and struggle.

But it will take decades … the Deep State will not give in without a huge fight. And the JHK long emergency might kick in first – putting everyone in survival mode.

That powers that be, the global elite, are multi-national, and don’t believe in nation-states, God, or country.

They subverted the US elite decades ago, because the America’s economic and military power was disproportionally large, and needed to be coopted and LEVERAGED to serve the Davos/Trilateral Commission/CFR ends.

Even now, as the US is in decline, it still has an inordinate amount of power, though our days are numbered, and our “rich man’s army” may implode due to …… lack of funds.

Personally, when I was young, America had a chance to take the right fork in the road. In 1989-91–the US could’ve declared “victory”, and gone home and started fixing or ameliorating many challenges that needed fixing. It did not–it became “exceptional” and chose to be like the Roman Empire–with no counterweights. That didn’t last long–but the American branch of the elite has done well with this BS, even as the rest of America runs in place or falls behind, and America and the world are arguably LESS safe.

Americans are generally liked overseas, but the US government is viewed with skepticism at best, and hostility at worse. That’s what happens when you meddle too much in other countries’ affairs. I empathize with those views.

Most people in general, and people in this space especially, don’t think the pandemic was engineered to topple Trump. However, it was definitely leveraged toward that end.

On the other hand, in America Lite, aka Canada, which had the luxury of not spending trillions on a wasteful military, while sleeping under the blanket of security America provided in the “good war”, WWII, and against the real and imagined Communist menace, the Canadian government has eagerly embraced restrictive measures, “for your own good”.

In Canada, there was not rush to use the crisis to take out Trudeau. Au contraire, Mssr. Trudeau used it to further trample on Canadians’ already limited freedoms.

Canada is in many ways a model nation for the elite: secular, diverse, where intelligent people get along, where they are highly taxed, which tempers their consumer impulses, and they are of course intelligent people who accept the need for order and trust their government to keep them safe, fed, and healthy (provided they are not both too sick and too old)., and the people don’t (legally) own guns. Unfortunately, the rest of this world, not even the US, does not enjoy the natural resource per capita bounty Canada has. So the model is limited in other applications.

So, while I enjoy your many, many, spot-on points, your constant mocking of “American exceptionalism”, as if it applies to all of Americans, rather than targeting this comment to whom it applies, grows tiresome and detracts from your otherwise generally good points.

It’s also ironic, especially considering that Canada is like a “mini-me” America–with worse traffic, higher prices, higher taxes, lower wages, more congestion, and suburban sprawl (though not as bad as America, I concede that), with envy of America and it’s “great shopping” coexisting side by side with a latent dislike of the same. At least that’s what the greater Toronto Area is like, from Oakville to Oshawa.

Also, that the vast majority of people in this space, and Americans in particular, do NOT subscribe to the view that America is “exceptional” in the context that the US should order the world around.

America and Canada are BOTH exceptional in that European settlers routed the native peoples, who did not have cities, and settled in arguably the richest stretch of real estate on earth, between two oceans, and the societies that were created in the New World, on virgin land (my ancestors farmed the same hills for 3000 years…) were able to exploit these assets to create more wealth, which trickled to more people, than any other society in history.

All the other “advanced” nations of the past 300 years or so were either not self-sufficient in water, oil, food, and minerals needed for the 20th century, had to contend with peer adversaries, or both.

Russia comes closest to NA. It is a well-endowed country also–but not as well-endowed as North America, and also lacks warm water ports with unfettered access to the world. And whatever natural assets, run by autocrats like Czars and Communists, Russia unlike the US and Canada, was unable to meet the full potential afforded by its riches in the 20th Century. However, this may be a blessing…Russia survived the implosion of the USSR. The lower standard of living was like being thrown off the second story. We Americans up in the 4th of 5th floor might not fare as well….

BTW, Canada’s proximity to the US was a big enabler in Canada’s success.

While I’m saddened by where we in the USA may be headed, and there are some things about Canada I appreciate, the pandemic has made it clear that it’s not for me.

            CRT is snake oil.

CRT originated in the mid-1970s in the writings of several American legal scholars, including Derrick Bell, Alan Freeman, Kimberlé Crenshaw, Richard Delgado, Cheryl Harris, Charles R. Lawrence III, Mari Matsuda, and Patricia J. Williams.[1] It emerged as a movement by the 1980s, reworking theories of critical legal studies (CLS) with more focus on race.[1][9] CRT is grounded in critical theory[10] and draws from thinkers such as Antonio Gramsci, Sojourner Truth, Frederick Douglass, and W. E. B. DuBois, as well as the Black Power, Chicano, and radical feminist movements from the 1960s and 1970s

            Communists one and all.

“Is that what truth tellers do, censor and suppress other viewpoints, firing and professionally destroying those who disagree?” Scientists have been doing just that for many decades now. Sounds like Canada is more totalitarian leaning than the U.S.

Yeah, and I have a suspicion, in the long run, none of this will be properly investigated, or adjudicated; it will be swept under the rug and ignored, just like the exploding mayhem and bloodshed occurring right now in our cities large and small is being ignored, and in some cases promoted (by the MSM, and the govt in charge)

The world was aghast when it was forced to confront the gas ovens constructed to try to exterminate an entire race during WWII. One of the outcomes was the Nuremberg Accords which internationally censored such practices as medical experiments on human beings without their fully informed consent. The drafters of the Accords took their responsibilities seriously, providing the death penalty for violators.

We as a world culture have strayed so far from the idea that there are certain practices that define us as human that the idea that the sociopaths who have subjected over a million people to experimental mRNA injections should be held accountable is beyond consideration. If justice still existed the million plus experimental subjects should all be part of a class action enforcing the Nuremberg Principles and hanging the perpetrators from every available lamp post.

I imagine the readers of this blog consider themselves well informed.
Did your media inform you of the events surrounding Anat Kimchi this month?
If not, you might wonder why, and if they would have informed your had circumstances been different.

    • BackRowHeckler June 28, 2021 at 10:21 am #

A frequent poster called ‘Malthus’ informed us of that murder otherwise, no, the media largely ignored it.

To be fair, there were 60 people shot in Chicago that week, and the unfortunate Ms. Kimchi was stabbed — so couldn’t be tied to ‘Gun Violence.’

Police arrested Robinson Thursday and said he is facing armed robbery and aggravated battery charges.

He’s linked to two other attacks against women and is believed to be homeless.”

The picture is of a middle -aged (41) black man who the police believe was camped nearby.

I’d like to know if that’s been suggested as well.

It looked to me like an unfortunate instance of a visitor not understanding how dangerous parts of Chicago can be, in broad daylight.

I’ve been to Chicago a number of times, back in the 90s, and they used to give you plenty of warning about where not to go.

Perhaps that has changed. Maybe it is getting so bad so fast they can’t keep up.

        • feralandroid June 28, 2021 at 11:45 am #

Having worked downtown for 10 years, the loop was never an area that was considered a ‘dangerous’ part of the city. About 20 blocks south was when it started getting dicing.

          • O.G. Hawkins June 28, 2021 at 12:18 pm #

That has always been my experience in Chicago. Downtown and North are “the friendly confines.” Great people everywhere.

I went to a White Sox game in South Chicago once. You roll in on subway trains with the crowd from the North an hour or less before game time and you roll out of there with the crowds ASAP after the game.

Sitting in the stands, you can see “The Projects.” Non-descript apartment bluidings. Drab. Maybe 20 stories. Several of them spiking into the cloudy sky to the east. It reminded me of Soviet Russia.

          • MaryQueen June 28, 2021 at 3:55 pm #

Same. Worked downtown in the Loop as well, without worrying about crime.

I got off the train with a couple of hours to kill and was right in the middle of the Miracle Mile by the Sears Tower. An impressive place. Walked across the river and things started to get dark. Wrong way. A free range Orc harassed me for a few yards, but I never stopped as I went back the way I had come.

Why did we do this to ourselves? They’ve destroyed every major city in America.

So what do you glean from this? From what I can tell, little or nothing. Completely normal? I’ve experienced it all my life – I will not call it normal. I refuse. We’ve been wronged – deeply.

“Why did we do this to ourselves?”

We didn’t, they did. Of course we are guilty to the extent that we went along – which was all the way in most cases. But we were born into a game where they set the rules – and write the dialogue, and paint the backgrounds…

When our Foundling Fathers bravely side-stepped the issue of slavery while drafting and ratifying the Constitution, they cast a shadow over the future this country. Lincoln had an opportunity to right that wrong, but instead put the wrong into writing.

We decided to extend our stay here in ROK than return. But, if we weren’t subsidized by the ROK / US alliance we might not like it as well. The government here likes to act like it genuinely cares about its citizens, the lack of US style COVID hysteria highlights this. When the COVID hit here US friends sent smug e-mails “Don’t you want to return now?” They couldn’t understand why I’d rather trust the Koreans to handle the outbreaks than “the best place in the world”. COVID showed up here officially almost the same day the US admitted to having a case. My friends were sure the US superiority in all things would take care of COVID better than the Korean health system, A few months later it was “If Clinton had won the national election there wouldn’t have been a pandemic. The only reason there is a problem is Trump Trump Trump.”

If the Democrats really do believe they won fair and square (and maybe they did) I would have to think they would welcome scrutiny at the local level to prove it. Their actions speak volumes about what they’re afraid might be found. The verifiable fact that Hunter Biden’s laptop was in government custody says it all. I don’t believe for a moment Pelosi, Schumer, Schiff didn’t know what was on it and how incriminating it was for Biden.

        Reporting for duty sir!

I read every JHK essay carefully – I’m absolutely certain some persons on here never do – they certainly never ever refer to anything in them … they just want a pulpit.

I agree with some of today’s – particularly the overall theme that it is almost impossible to discern reality and truth – like the line from Apocalypse Now, there is so much bullshit that you need a helicopter just to stay above it.

But I disagree with parts too … there is a long litany (rap-sheet) of accusations and charges against the Democrats, while innocence and victimhood are the total preserve of those nice Republicans.

I don’t buy that, and GOP shenanigans have been – and still are – just as vicious if not more so. And I provide three quick examples:

        1. That execrable pompous Connecticut Yankee wannabe James Comey almost certainly cost Hilary Clinton the 2016 Election, by coming out a few days beforehand and saying the FBI had re-opened an investigation into her – it was blatant anti-Dem politics.

I believed then as I believe now – the Deep State is fundamentally in bed with the Republicans and the Corporates … the Dems are barely at the kiddies’ table by comparison.

        2. Robert Mueller was either instructed to – or chose to – run dead in his inquiry, and the Trump Administration got away with murder, in terms of obstruction of justice, collusion, witness harassment, and much else. And then the hyper-politicised A-G William Barr puts out a “summary statement” that totally undermines the real thrust of the Report. What happens? Nothing – truth is the casualty again.

        3. Whatever you think about the merits of mail-in voting, many states have done it successfully for a long time, without major drama, without controversy. And note that not one state that dramatically upped their mail-in voting flipped from R-2016 to D-2020. But losers still blamed mail-in voting, and vote-counting machines got hammered too.

What was the difference this time? Trump – the only president not to gracefully concede an election loss, and not cooperate in the transition process.

It’s hard to blame the Court system for not finding election fraud happened. It was up to lawyers for losers to provide credible evidence, and they couldn’t. William Barr has come out just this week to state that Trump’s claims of election fraud were “all bullshit”.

Where does the truth lie? Who the fuck knows? But there wasn’t election fraud just because Trump and a few Republican sycophants keep saying there was.

He was such a sore loser he could not even attend the inauguration of his successor. And now all the election fraud hype is being used by Republican states to crush the future Democrat vote, on top of some of the most egregious district gerrymanders in any democracy anywhere.

I could go on, about the Cyber Ninja exercise called the Arizona “election audit” – and a dozen other things, like Trump’s own shenanigans in Ukraine – but I think the future is more important … after all that’s where we’re headed!

“..And note that not one state that dramatically upped their mail-in voting flipped from R-2016 to D-2020…”

PA? GA? Just to name two of them. Mail in voting for a reason (military, disability or other absentee reason) is perfectly fine. But mass mail in voting of people who are perfectly capable of getting their rears into a polling station is not. Ballot stuffing is not a conspiracy and has been used in dictatorships as well as democracies. Making it easier to do so is not a good course of action.

          • Tekapo June 28, 2021 at 3:29 pm #

But mass mail in voting of people who are perfectly capable of getting their rears into a polling station is not.

In a pandemic it makes sense to mail it in.

My understanding is that Pennsylvania and Georgia didn’t change (certainly not dramatically) their mail-in ballot procedures. Just that many more people chose to mail-in, because of the pandemic.

There are well-established methods for ensuring that each and every mail-in envelope has one valid vote in it – and with even simple technology like unique barcodes, ballot stuffing or other fraud becomes near impossible.

The whole “election fraud” thing is a total beat-up in my view – do we know how much money Trump raked in from the faithful, because of his “Steal” campaign?

I believe the issues with mail=in ballots in the last election were (1) that many states extended the deadline for absentee ballots past 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, and (2) that there were lots of duplicate ballots because states were sloppy about maiilinig people ballots and then giving them another ballot at the polling place (the latter is what I experienced).

          • Tekapo June 28, 2021 at 4:42 pm #

Yes – I believe sloppy can happen, and you do not need a conspiracy to explain things.

Extending the deadlines were very reasonable steps, because (a) the USPS was being deliberately hobbled in order to disenfranchise mail-in voters (expected to be mostly Dem), and (b) they expected a huge increase in mail ballots because of the pandemic.

There is nothing sacrosanct about ballots arriving by 8:00 pm on Election Day … states make their own decisions about such things – can be early or later, can be postmarked or actually delivered, and so on.

            “… the issues with mail=in ballots …

At worst, these can be held to be ‘technicalities’ that would not have had any significant influence on the actual vote count.

Meanwhile, the basic legal principle of “standing” has been relegated to the level of a mere ‘technicality’ by JHK. In fact, this whole essay is comprehensive evidence of how deeply he has imbibed the kool-aid.

I disagree with that Redneck … there are a large number of things that do need explaining, but DC is so toxic and full of palace intrigue and bulldust that we are unlikely to get a clear picture for decades.

The issue that I most disagree with JHK over is that you cannot sheet all these issues home to the Democrats – there is a huge amount of Trump-Republican malfeasance in the mix as well.

I particularly part company on the first impeachment … I thought his standover of the Ukraine PM – to get political dirt of Biden Inc in return for Congress-approved funding – was a definite abuse of power and he should have been sacked for it.

But the silver lining is that I think if the Republican senators had their druthers, they’d realise they should have tossed him then, had the Wooden Indian (aka Pence) in the slot, and they might well have not lost the presidency, house, and senate last November.

Oh well – hindsight has 20-20 vision!

            Wrong.
Sloppy is countered by voter IDs and ticking off each voter/ballot, to make sure each person votes just once and that person is a registered voter, voting in the correct election.

Extending deadlines is wrong. It has to be the same all over the country: 8:00 p.m.
Extending deadlines opens a huge window of opportunity to fiddle the totals.
The problem is not absentee ballots that arrive late—ballots from the military have often arrived late, and they were counted (remember that?), but they had to be postmarked BEFORE THE ELECTION. And the envelopes had to be saved.
This is not at all the same thing as boatloads of “mail-in” ballots arriving from who knows where, in the dead of night, without their identifying envelopes (showing the name of the voter and precinct, so that the name can be checked off on the voter rolls), and being run through voting machines en masse as shown in numerous videos. I didn’t see anyone opening each envelope and checking off the name in the videos of polling places. Who didn’t smell a huge rat when the power went out in Georgia at, what?, 10 p.m.?

So-called “mail-in ballots” are absentee ballots, pure and simple. In my experience anyone can go to town hall, get an absentee ballot, and vote early. Then your name is checked off and the envelope with ballot is ut into a vault.

“Mail-in ballots” turned into a free-for-all—literally, because state-secs mailed out little cards to all voters asking them whether they wanted a “mail-in ballot” and if you checked ‘yes,” you were sent a ballot. This was nuts. Opportunities for shenanigans were legion. Use your imagination. Postal workers could easily recognize these mailings and grab a few of them. Or many. People could go to the polling place and get a second ballot. Who knows what they did with the first one. Many ;more ballot have to have been printed for each precinct/town than the actual number of voters in that town/precinct.

Indeed, each precinct should have a set number of ballots printed, for each voter, and no more. Or maybe a few more on hand in case someone spoiled a ballot and needed a new one. So how come I could get two ballots (I took the “mail-in” to the polling place and used that instead of the second one they were about to hand me.

            As for the “pandemic”
excuse—and it is an excuse—but even given the “pandemic” rationale, I see no reason to change the name of the process unless the idea was to implant different ideas as to how an election is to be conducted. Why weren’t these called absentee ballots as per usual and handled exactly like, well, absentee ballots? Changing the name also seems to have changed the bottom line of standards of chain of custody of the ballots. Pandemic, wow, anything goes!!! In fact the chain of custody of ballots is just as important as it is for all evidence in any kind of investigation or trial.

Many states realized that extending the deadline for voting—in some cases for days—diminished the value of each legal vote in states that didn’t allow any extension of deadlines.
I think this is one of the issues that the Supreme Court refused to examine.

          • Tekapo June 29, 2021 at 4:50 pm #

Sloppy is countered by voter IDs and ticking off each voter/ballot, to make sure each person votes just once and that person is a registered voter, voting in the correct election.

Interesting post, and I agree in parts.

I have written at some length on this subject – how to improve the security, efficiency, and convenience of voting. I’m not a big fan of Voter ID (I think it’s too Soviet Bloc, or Third World banana republic), and it’s open to abuse and voter suppression.

In one infamous example, in a very large college town Student ID was not accepted, so as to cut the Dem vote. What is more critical are up-to-date and accurate electoral rolls.

What I don’t buy is that the election was stolen by the Democrats, through large-scale abuse of mail-in ballots, hacking of vote-counting machines, or any other way.

I certain won’t accept there was election fraud until there is solid evidence on the table. All those videos that people cite repeatedly have all been fully explained.

II think Team Biden politicised the Covid-19 pandemic far better than Trump – encouraging mail-in voting, and encouraging more voting generally. (Mind you, I don’t think that was too hard – people turned out in record numbers to Dump Trump).

Trump painted himself into a corner very badly – claiming it was a hoax right through Feb-March, and even well into spring. He was in pretty bad shape anyway in the polls – he could never get them above about 45%, but he couldn’t politicise the virus the way Biden could.

Trump (ludicrously) told his voters to reject mail-in voting in the midst of a raging pandemic. He was on a losing strategy for months, as it finally proved.

The reason Hillary lost was due to her arrogance and dishonesty. Her uncensored remarks about “the deplorables” only confirmed what was glaringly obvious — her contempt for the people she said she wanted to serve.

There you go again, Tekapo, spinning a web of outrageous lies. It’s really too tedious to keep setting the record straight.

Did you forget that Comey is on your side? That he let Hillary off the hook days before the 2016 election? This was right after his boss Attorney General Loretta Lynch had a little meeting on the Tarmac with Bill Clinton. Just to discuss grandkids, of course.

Mueller’s team consisted of about 12 dyed in the wool Democrats, real devoted activists. They used every dirty trick in the book and obtained warrants based on fraud and false info. Entire books could be written about their crimes. Are you saying they went easy on Trump?

As for your absurd statement “the Trump Administration got away with murder, in terms of obstruction of justice, collusion, witness harassment, and much else” – Tekapo

You saying so, does not make it so. You present not one example, just vague, general statements. You do that a lot. You really are a sloppy, low skilled advocate.

Here’s one of your gems: “Where does the truth lie? Who the fuck knows? But there wasn’t election fraud just because Trump and a few Republican sycophants keep saying there was” – Tekapo

You constantly claim to know where the truth lies. And your saying some shit doesn’t make it true either. When people do an audit in AZ to uncover the truth, you howl like a demoniac with something to hide. I know, I know. They’re biased.

And all those Demo vote counters in Georgia pulling out hidden stacks of ballots after observers left the room because vote counting was officially suspended? No problem there. They are even on film feeding the same ballots thru the machines multiple times because they underestimated how many fraudulent ballots they would need.

Every so-called point you raise is just twisted and biased opinion or outright lies. I grow weary with your bullshit.

Your repeating of every well-worn and debunked Internet conspiracy talking-point is amusing rather than tiresome.

I thought Hillary Clinton was a pretty bad candidate, but the reality is James Comey told the world that the FBI was re-opening an investigation – and this was against all protocols
applying to agencies staying “neutral” during the campaign period.

It’s impossible to say it definitely cost her the election, but it certainly didn’t help. The Deep State wanted Trump in – he wasn’t going to rock any boat that mattered – as indeed the subsequent four years showed.

They are even on film feeding the same ballots thru the machines multiple times because they underestimated how many fraudulent ballots they would need.

The problems with this sort of statement are three

            1. They’re usually made by people who do not know how election counts are done, and how machines work.

            2. Republican election officials signed off and certified the election – were they all pro-Biden?

            3. Manual recounts verified the machine counts.

Tekapo, You have this habit of pissing on my leg and then telling me it’s raining.

Fact: Republican observers were told a pipe had burst in the building and the vote count was being suspended. That turned out to be a lie. As soon as they left, the vote fraud occurred on film. Apparently, the cheaters didn’t know they were being filmed.

            1) This point simply says I don’t know anything. An assertion with no proof and no real value.

            2) Which Republican election officials signed off and certified the election? What did they know of the fraud; when they did they know it? Are they in fact RINO’s controlled by your globalist friends. Many Repubs hate Trump. That has never been denied. And they’ll do anything to stab him in the back.

            3) Attempts at a recount in Georgia were sabotaged by Democrats deleting data, as I recall. Since your friends with the Orwellian agenda control the search engines, it’s hard to find stories tossed down the memory hole.

          • hmuller June 28, 2021 at 8:35 pm #

Tekapo, did you happen to read this line in the story?

” Two days before the election, Comey disclosed that the emails hadn’t turned up anything new.”

It should have also mentioned that Comey also announced Hillary would not be charged over the e-mail matter.

So what I said is true, Comey in essence cleared her before the election.

What you say could also be true, i.e.bringing the whole ugly stink to the public’s attention probably lost her some votes.

Here’s my opinion. Hillary deserved to lose votes; she deserved to be prosecuted. She seriously violated laws regarding the handling of classified material. I spent a career in military Intelligence and the NSA. I can assure you such matters are not considered trivial.

Putting classified information where it could be and indeed was hacked by foreign governments is not a trivial matter.

Running a personal billion dollar “charity fund” soliciting donations from people, corporations, and foreign governments who have business before the State Department was not something done before Hillary became Secretary of State. Maybe you think that doesn’t smack of criminal activity either?

Holy cow, Po. What a crock of crap.

Republicans the center of the Deep State, you are nuts. Who favors socialism, Po, the Dems or the conservatives? The DS is comprised mostly of Liberals as evidenced by the voters around DC. Those voters are the core of the Deep State and they are LIBERAL! Your statement is ludicrous and almost disqualifies you from any reality check.

Mail in voting, per thousands of affidavit givers allowed great graft. You can use the Deep Stated judiciary as your excuse but it is a crock. And Billy Barr was the worst. That mail in voting was not even passed by the state legislatures, required by law, but in this corrupted judiciary, it made no difference. If other states passed and ran mail in votes okay, great, the contested elections are ones that cheated by not following the law. This is not over, either.

It was not election fraud because Trump said it, it was fraud because thousands of those pesky affidavits are refusing to give up. It ain’t over yet!

Trump knew what was coming but being outnumbered a thousand to one made contesting the election impossible. The 100% judicial shutdown after the election was proof of the fraud, not its disproof. Nothing judicial is 100%, except corruption.

Your arguments are unqualified and foolish. The Arizona audit will finish, followed by others where the judicial muzzling is breaking down. Po, you better hope fraud did not make a difference, your beloved Democratic Party will be obliterated. Remember Donna Brazile, the crook that sold her credibility, worked for Fox who finally had enough of her duplicity and outed her. A typical Dem.

Trump’s shenanigans in the Ukraine? Finding out that his opponent was a crook, supported by a crook? This ain’t over yet, either.

Impeachment 1 was Mueller, number 2 was Ukraine, used as a cover up for the kick off of the Covid crud.

Trump did not acknowledge the faux election, just as the Biden mob has not acknowledged the fiasco at the border.

An interesting poll that needs to be run and won’t be is how many Biden voters would vote Trump now if the election was to be repeated. I do not think you would like the results.

We have some serious semantic differences I expect JAZ that we have never resolved. To me the “Deep State” is not the thousands of Dem-voting public servants who turn up to all those office buildings around DC and the nearby Virginia suburbs.

To me the Deep State are the very very top – and I believe they are intensely conservative, it includes the upper echelon of the financial world in DC and NYC, and the military, adn the intelligence community, they are the servants of capitalism, and they are dead-set against genuine democracy. They are to a person Republican – if they bother to vote at all.

They hate activism, liberal Democrats, unions, progressives, activist NGOs, and everything else who might in the slightest way threaten the powers that be, including both the American military empire, and the Fortune 500.

The uniparty is intensely Republican – comrade.

            From Sidney Powell at Telegram:

“Maricopa County Auditor Bob Hughes Shares How They Are Using High Tech Forensic Digital Cameras and OCR to Validate Ballots

Bob Hughes: ‘The cameras are not only cameras. They’re digital cameras. Digital cameras that are forensic. They’re actually police forensic cameras. They’re very, very high speed, high definition digital cameras. They make a scanned ballot.

So we scan that ballot. We then use optical character recognition (OCR). We’re looking at what’s in place on that ballot. Based on who that ballot is. How many should be? Can there be this many?…

…What I can tell you is you now will have the most authentic count of every legal authentic ballot you could possibly have.’”

If the uniparty was intensely Republican than Hillary would be in jail. Both houses would be Republican and Pence would be President right now.

We appear to have a very different view of what the “deep state” is, and what its purpose is.

I agree that because of the power wielded by the deep state that the US is the type of corporate capitalist society and economy that it is. It has also led to the emergence and longevity of two very similar and very conservative major parties.

At the deep-state level it is Tweedledum and Tweedledee, or as OGH says, “Frick & Frack”. Following any election, Wall Street hardly blips, whoever wins – they know the two majors do not threaten the highest-levels of capitalism at all.

And the deep state doesn’t fiddle with the trifles – indicting Hillary, indicting Mike Flynn, trannie wokery, BLM, and all the rest. Those are either turf wars inside the beltway, or culture wars being played across the land in a very uneven pattern.

But I think in general, that the aims of the deep state are much more consistently aligned with the agenda of the Republican Party, and it can be summarises as pro-corporate, low taxes, anti-worker, and pro-deregulation. I would also argue that they support globalism much more too, because their major backers of course do too.

The make gestures and pronouncements about things like small-government, debt & deficit control, cutting spending, stopping immigration, and so on … but they don’t really mean it – Republican administrations have spent hugely whenever they thought it would assist them politically.

So there ARE differences between the two parties, but it’s not really to do with who has political power in Washington. To my mind, the deep state is “Republican” (conservative) because it has achieved the following:

            • unions have been infiltrated and slaughtered over the last 60 years
            • wages, conditions, and collective bargaining have gone backwards
            • corporate taxes and high-wealth individual taxes are almost a joke
            • corporations are fictitious persons and can fund political campaigns unconstrained
            • de-regulation has been sold as a “public good”, leading to all manner of mayhem
            • Big Health, Big Pharma, Big Ag, and Big Ed – almost open slather to screw the public
            • the MIC still runs at huge profitability, selling war toys by the millions
            • the US retains bases all around the world – the deep state are paranoid
            • the US maintains a vast “intelligence community” – again in the name of national security
            • the US goes to war very quickly, if and when OIL is threatened
            • the environment, native lands, national lands – all are to sacrificed if and when needed
            • vast subsidies to all manner of rich entities, while welfare is always under pressure
            • Wall Street is bailed out and subsidised if and when required – on command

I could go on – but I think I’ve given a flavour of the thing, from my perspective. The deep state has – over the century since 1920 (but since the founding fathers really) – ensured the survival and growth of the US capitalist state … any threats are crushed very quickly. He threats don’t come from the Democrats much more than the Republicans.

Look at how Obama folded in the face of the Global Financial Crisis in 2008 – not one single banker went to jail in fact most of them still got bonuses!

          • Tekapo June 30, 2021 at 4:33 pm #

Trump knew what was coming but being outnumbered a thousand to one made contesting the election impossible. The 100% judicial shutdown after the election was proof of the fraud, not its disproof. Nothing judicial is 100%, except corruption.

He knew what was coming because his campaign team could read the polls, that showed for four months prior to 3 November that Joe Biden had a winning lead in the six most marginal states. And so it proved – no fraud was needed.

If you (or anyone else) seriously believes that 84 judges in 60 courts (mostly Republican appointments) were all corrupt and were part of a Democrat fraud, then you have lost all confidence in the system, and you might as well move to Colombia or Russia and buy your own judges.

That video was fun to post during the first Fake Impeachment where Trump was impeached for Joe Biden’s crimes.

        • benr June 29, 2021 at 7:50 am #

Odd how they projected Joes crimes on Trump but its almost a daily occurrence for the Democrats.
In fact the asshole of the century Saul Alinsky literally wrote the book on Dirty political hit jobs and one of his take always is to get out ahead of a scandal by accusing your opponents.
          Rules for radicals.

Rule 1: Power is not only what you have, but what an opponent thinks you have. If your organization is small, hide your numbers in the dark and raise a din that will make everyone think you have many more people than you do.

Rule 2: Never go outside the experience of your people.
The result is confusion, fear, and retreat.

Rule 3: Whenever possible, go outside the experience of an opponent. Here you want to cause confusion, fear, and retreat.

Rule 4: Make opponents live up to their own book of rules. “You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.”

Rule 5: Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It’s hard to counterattack ridicule, and it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage.

Rule 6: A good tactic is one your people enjoy. “If your people aren’t having a ball doing it, there is something very wrong with the tactic.”

Rule 7: A tactic that drags on for too long becomes a drag. Commitment may become ritualistic as people turn to other issues.

Rule 8: Keep the pressure on. Use different tactics and actions and use all events of the period for your purpose. “The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. It is this that will cause the opposition to react to your advantage.”

Rule 9: The threat is more terrifying than the thing itself. When Alinsky leaked word that large numbers of poor people were going to tie up the washrooms of O’Hare Airport, Chicago city authorities quickly agreed to act on a longstanding commitment to a ghetto organization. They imagined the mayhem as thousands of passengers poured off airplanes to discover every washroom occupied. Then they imagined the international embarrassment and the damage to the city’s reputation.

Rule 10: The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative. Avoid being trapped by an opponent or an interviewer who says, “Okay, what would you do?”

Rule 11: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, polarize it. Don’t try to attack abstract corporations or bureaucracies. Identify a responsible individual. Ignore attempts to shift or spread the blame.

According to Alinsky, the main job of the organizer is to bait an opponent into reacting. “The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength.”

          • Night Owl June 29, 2021 at 10:07 am #

You know benr, I was thinking recently on how the current bizarre prog. ideologies have become so pervasive. Sure that they are corporate backed is a big part of it, but this got me thinking again about how long the propaganda has been going on and when it started exactly. Because we have an entire generation (or even two) that is (are) almost completely brainwashed.

Then that got me thinking to shows like The Daily Show, Colbert Report, etc. About 15 years ago, when I was in DC and in my 30s, I watched these shows and so did everyone I knew. For me, it was a form of catharsis from the onset of an up-to-then-unseen level of corporo-fascism in the post 9/11 years, but reading through that list got me thinking that nearly every box is/was ticked in the creation of those shows (and various Web outlets like Media Matters, Crooks and Liars, etc.).

It also created the snark culture one so often runs into among those in the prog set these days. There is no argument, few if any facts present, only snark and derision rooted in stereotypes and word think.

I think the early post-9/11 era of TV and Internet propaganda was far more detrimental to public discouse and critical thinking than many realize.

Trump was rightly impeached for abuse of power – he stood over the Ukraine prime minister, threatening to withhold funds approved by Congress unless he got his quid pro quo (a fallacious statement that Hunter Biden was under investigation).

And even if Hunter Biden had been as guilty as sin – the abuse of power stands and it was an impeachable offense.

      • neurodoc June 28, 2021 at 12:42 pm #

The so called ‘jabs,’ i.e. fake vaxes, are mRNA gene transformers that make massive amounts of S (for sars) protein spikes, which cause massive auto-inflammation, as well as S protein infiltration into heart, lung and kidney cells (hence, e.g. myocardial inflammatory disease which is now becoming an epidemic). A great deal of well done research has now shown that the covid illness is caused by the toxicity of the S protein spike, not the virus itself. A huge mistake as been made by the medical PTB in the making of a ‘therapy’ that multiples the S protein spike to a massive extent in the injected (or, I hope it was just a mistake, that is).

Do the reading yourself if you’re still asleep on this issue. Don’t depend on your doctor to tell you about this travesty, as s/he cannot speak to the public about this in fear of losing one’s license. Doctors that speak out pubically about the reality of the mRNA gene therapy, even to talk about its NOT being FDA approved as a vax, are getting censored by medical boards all over amerika.
I did not say this. You did not hear this.

are mRNA gene transformers that make massive amounts of S (for sars) protein spikes, which cause massive auto-inflammation, as well as S protein infiltration into heart, lung and kidney cells (hence, e.g. myocardial inflammatory disease which is now becoming an epidemic).

If it were true, why is virtually every country in the world rolling out the vaccines? There are not 200 uncaring sociopath-run health services, either bought off by Big Pharma – or doing the ground-work for the Great Reset culling.

I don’t buy it – from my reading the percentage of adverse reactions out off millions of doses is absolutely tiny.

I think we’re far more capable of undetstanding the global jab campaign If we detach ‘covid’ from health care. There’s no relationship. ‘Covid” is a global wealth redistrbution campIgn funded at profit by the banks that generally fund our governments. The jab is an absolute risk-free money maker & so the jab campaign *specifcally* makes most sense for all involved.

If one has the training, one can read the CDC VAERS. The data are somewhat arcane for lay analysis but so far in the US, as of end of May, there are ~6000 deaths attributable to the pfizer or moderna mRNA therapy aka ‘VAX,’ and well over 40K hospitalizable adverse reactions.

Understand that there are many MDs who don’t understand advanced statistical analysis (I’ve taught med research and data analysis at 2 top 10 med centers and was appalled at what non MD/PhD residents didn’t know). That why so many doctors simply don’t know how to analyze the VAERS data, much less simple lab tests. And thus fall for corporate bullshit.

To put my point in better perspective, seldane, one of the best anti-sinus allergy meds in history, was pulled by the FDA after SIX, that’s 6 people died after using it with emycin.

Usually, the FDA, which has NOT approved ANY COV vax, only three mRNA gene therapy experimental safety studies for pfizer, moderna, jansen, pulls meds at the onset of just a few deaths (out of millions of cases). Seldane was pulled after over 60 million doses had been taken. Thus its not the raw % that matters, it is the raw number of deaths; usually FDA doesn’t like more than a FEW!!!!! Something is afoot, probably $$$$$.

Oh but Tekapo, we do know your vaccination status. You’ve publicly admitted to being unvaccinated. If that changed, you would surely crow about it.

          • Tekapo June 28, 2021 at 6:09 pm #

I recognise your qualifications and expertise neurodoc – it is a question of balancing risk. As a 70yo, having the vaccine seems much less risky (statistically) than contracting Covid-19.

Then there will be (hopefully) a wide range of benefits that the vaccinated will have, in terms of being able to feel more secure, even in more crowded environments. I keep my mask very handy though.

Watched a video last night of a doctor/scientist explaining that people having problems with the adverse reactions (and deaths) from these jabs is because the morons doing the injections (which are supposed to be IM (intramuscular) are NOT pulling back on the syringe to aspirate to see if they are instead in a VEIN.

The insert clearly says “not for IV use”.

From the time I watched these jadrools giving these injections I was trying to focus attention on the fact that NO ONE was aspirating!

I will try to find the YouTube link.

It takes time to die from inflammatory myocarditis, inflammatory nephritis, and pulmonary emboli, as well as CVAs from vascular inflammation, all being shown by the Pasteur Inst. group to stem from the mRNA S Spike protein injections. Give it 12-24 months. Read about the airlines issues about ‘vaxed’ people possibly being restricted from flying more than 4 hours at a trip; also read about the insurance companies who are being reported all over social media for refusing payout for post injection death since they involve participating in an experimental procedure. No one that I have heard of got anything like informed consent for an experimental mRNA shot.

Back to work. Need to put kids thru college and med school.

Not saying this isn’t true, but if it is then presumably significant numbers of the trial participants will be dying right now?

Interesting notice on the Institut Pasteur’s website:

          https://www.pasteur.fr/en/home/research-journal/news/coronavirus-institut-pasteur-warns-against-false-information-circulating-social-media

As the Covid-19 outbreak continues to spread in France, multiple information are circulating on social media and messaging platforms. Some of these messages contain misleading information, and some are supposedly based on the expertise of scientists at the Institut Pasteur. The Institut Pasteur asks you not to take any notice of this information and not to pass it on.

          Interesting.

(I’ve just read the Brian Gerrish interview too, though, in the interests of keeping an open mind.)

BTW, could you please provide the link re 4-hour flying trips?

When this story was circulated regarding Australian airlines, it was clarified by Professor Allen Cheng, director of Infection Prevention and Healthcare Epidemiology (Melbourne) that there is no connection between DVT, which is implicated in long-haul flights, and TTS which is sometimes caused by the vaccines.

I read a critique of that Section 230 law by the Market Ticker guy the other day. In part of it, he talks about existing law that could be used against the tech censorship, and castigates President Trump for not using it.

I was thinking about who would be responsible for informing the president, who is not an attorney, of what laws we do have already.

That would be his DOJ, wouldn’t it?

He must have asked somebody about this; in fact we know he did.

If the Market Ticker guy could find a statute that covers it, why couldn’t they? Unless they didn’t want to.

“Second, in the context of the pandemic and related items what these firms did is already illegal. The First Amendment makes clear that the government may not censor. The evidence at this point is overwhelming that government agencies, including at least the NIH and likely others as well, conspired together with Facebook at least and almost certainly others as well to do exactly that. Facebook can independently decide but what it cannot do is collude with Fauci’s NIH to drive a public narrative by censoring opposing views. Yet that’s exactly what the so-called “Trusted News Initiative” did and that collusion occurred with government agencies is documented. That is a rank constitutional violation never mind a violation of 15 USC Chapter 1 which carries ten year prison terms; why isn’t existing law being enforced?

If anyone wants to actually solve the problem it’s not hard to fix.

The answer is called prison and the “big tech mavens” will be plenty unhappy about spending a decade there. Send them all. Zuckerpig doing a decade in the slammer would solve a lot of problems — including stopping all the censorship instantly as nobody would be willing to follow him.

In the context of everything else, however, it’s tougher simply because advertising, when it is your prime or even only revenue source makes for an “outlet” that is required to do what the advertisers want.

What happens when the corporates all go “woketopia” and they are the advertisers?”

Under what authority is any agency “directing” twitter. They can meet with twitter and request cooperation, but it doesn’t make twitter “a delegate” of government, and therefor First Amendment rules don’t apply – as a private entity it can still editorialise, moderate, and censor.

Can you imagine what it would look like if Facebook or twitter were ever FORCED to print / post everything? They would immediately demand that proper legal names are used, with verified addresses, and advise every poster that they are personally liable in court for whatever they post.

It would probably lessen free speech – rather than enhance it.

          • Tekapo June 28, 2021 at 11:36 pm #

There are several things wrapped up in your reply (and I’ll set aside the gratuitous ad homs – they’re pretty much par for the course now):

            1. I don’t recall anyone on here complaining about “free speech” while the former guy was exploiting twitter and Facebook full bore from 2015 until he was blocked – probably won him the election.

            2. I have said on here several times, if the “free speech” advocates, and devotees of untrammeled capitalism don’t want to use those services, go to other ones.

            3. Notwithstanding their size and power, twitter and Facebook do have some competitors – and they are no free public services like a city library – they are privately owned businesses. We could argue also about whether they are “too big to exist”.

            4. I have also said on here several times that I am a strong advocate of free speech, but the reality is, just about every forum you participate in has moderators, and people who will delete your posts or stop your account if you cross lines that they draw.

            5. We can argue all day about whether an anti-vax group, or an election-steal group should be allowed to prosper on twitter and Facebook, but there is no principle in law that they are violating.

            6. And social media have to operate in a space that gives them a “social license to operate”, and if they believe that they won’t be a support platform for fringe groups and conspiracy nuts – then it’s their business.

            7. And as I said previously, they could insist on full names and addresses – and advise that every poster has full liability and accountability for every sentence they post.

Is that what you are after? If so, then social media would be very different.

          • hmuller June 29, 2021 at 12:58 pm #

Social media were developed with tax payer money. They should serve the public like a utility. Would you support turning off electricity to some one for supporting Trump or believing the election was stolen? (I’ll bet you would)

Google doesn’t provide a fair search for info they don’t like. They bury it or discard it. I suppose you support that kind of censorship, too.

You are in your heart a supporter of the Orwellian state, though your lying lips deny it, Tekapo!

That’s very Bolshevik of you, you old Commie! A huge range of industrials are started and supported by enormous gobs of tax-payer money – look at farming, weapons, oil, and much else. It’s a lame argument indeed … the farmers don’t give me free steaks.

But outside that – I can only comment on the hypocrisy … no-one complained when Trump exploited social media for years.

But you right-wingers are painted into a corner – you want the capacity to use Facebook and twitter, but you can’t stand it when the censor and moderate. But to have the access you demand, you have to accept moderation too.

And it’s definitely not a vital public utility like power, water, or even a telephone service. It’s a business product – a shiny new toy … but it’s grown so huge that regulation will come eventually.

“no-one complained when Trump exploited social media for years.” -Tekapo

Oh, I must have missed it. Did Trump censor other people on social media, drive them away, demonetize and shadow ban them, terminate their accounts.?

He spoke on social media as is his right.

You honestly can’t see the difference between communicating your own message on social media and censoring others from communicating theirs. It’s all just one big blur to you? Really? You are that stupid?

          • Tekapo June 30, 2021 at 4:52 pm #

He spoke on social media as is his right.

It’s not a “right” – it’s something you can do if you want, until the owners of the private entity determine they don’t like you or want you. Just like on here.

If you don’t like Facebook’s politics or policies, then don’t use it. But you cannot force it to post stuff it doesn’t want to.

You did indeed miss it. Trump tried to have Twitter block responses to his tweets that he didn’t like. The courts ruled against him because he is a public official. The courts therefore ruled that he was violating responders’ first amendment rights.

            Tekapo,

You always do this. Pick out what you think is my weakest point, attack it, and ignore everything else I wrote.

By “as is his right” I meant as President, Trump could go on TV and radio, legally seize the private network’s time to broadcast to the American people. I think he had a right to be heard on social media as well – in his capacity as President.

I didn’t mean that you or I have this right. Nor did I say “we” did!

          • hmuller July 1, 2021 at 4:21 pm #

            Enough Already,

Let me see if I understand this. People have a constitutional right to respond to Trump messages. But Trump although President has no right to post them to begin with?

Indeed because he is President he cannot delete anything anyone writes in response? Correct? Private citizens can delete threatening, obscene, and harassing messages and do so all the time. Correct?

I would point out – Trump critics could post their hate messages elsewhere than on the end of a Trump tweet, so by the “Tekapo Standard” it would not even be close to censorship for Trump to delete such comments.

Do you believe geriatric, bedpan, foggy mind jokes I post to Joe Biden’s tweets will stay up? Wanna bet?

Neither the MSM nor social media treat Biden with the extreme hostility they showed for Trump. Quite the contrary. See article below:

I was surprised Kristen Clarke made it to the top of the Civil Rights Division. What a sick joke, by Obama, perhaps? As the NY Post reported on Jan. 26, “While a Harvard undergrad, Clarke argued in the student newspaper that blacks had greater “mental, physical and spiritual abilities” than whites because of the amount of melanin in their skin…”

Yes – I’ve often thought that. Conservatives repeatedly claim that the Democrats are “soft on illegal immigration” in order to recruit millions of grateful new Dem voters, but it seems just as likely that many will never vote, or are quite likely to vote GOP.

Okay – highest temps since records started being taken (latish 19th Century).

Bend is a very pleasant place, but not a big-city concrete jungle. It’s three-day maxima are 106°, 108°, 101°, so this heat dome is all over.

Meteorologists aren’t stupid – they don’t take temps at the kerb-side on Main Street. They usually have their gear in an open area – often at a city airport.

BTW – I just made a comment about the extreme heat – there was no hidden agenda about Global Warming … in the same way that you can’t dismiss Global Warming just because some place has as an unprecedented cold-snap.

I drive very little these days, and hardly ever eat red meat.

Duluth, MN is known for COLD. At the Air Base sometime between 1962 and 1965 I experienced -38° but then one summer day I went outside into 103° blazing heat. It was disorienting.

There won’t be any revolution until the general population loses what is valuable to them. That includes abundant food, social media, computer games and tv. Technology has so removed the average person from the means of production that they don’t even consider what’s really happening. In this new world, injustice and rotten politics don’t matter as long as someone can watch their favorite tv programs, eat when they want and text their friends.

Life is hard when you factor in material and emotional needs, so escape
has always been desirable, and technology now has evolved to the point where it can provide escape for most people. But when supply and power lines break down, you’ll see widespread rebellion (real insurrection).

I saw a video of Luc Montagnier, Nobel Laureate, that has apparently since been scrubbed from the web. He stated there is no hope and no treatment for the vaccinated, and we must be prepared to incinerate the bodies. That figure is around 2,000,000,000, so far, vaccinated worldwide. There will, no doubt, be more as they are becoming more insistent and desperate to get needles into as many arms as possible, so much so that it is becoming obvious to anyone with any brains, that something else is going on here. The president of the Philippines is becoming quite nasty and threatening about it. Here in the US, they’ve already resorted to bribery, and are starting in with blackmail. I suspect that by the late fall flu season so many will be dying of antibody-dependent enhancement, that the jig will be up and the elite will have to hide out in their holes while this burns across the world.

In a die-off of that magnitude, no one will be untouched, and the collateral damage will be enormous. I suspect the number of dead will be double the number vaccinated.

          The Coercion hierarchy:

          Ignorance
          Bribery
          Blackmail
          Physical Force

Anything else is a some combination of the above.
Bribery + blackmail is common (carrot & stick).

The list is also in order of preference and in reverse order of the number of people involved.

Ignorance is usually chosen first. It is far preferable to coerce through ignorance, as it is cheap and affects the most people. Though bribery cost more money, it will work well with many not acting out of pure ignorance. Blackmail requires leverage, i.e., you lose your job, can’t fly, etc. Force is the most expensive and dangerous method of coercion, and eventually garners serious pushback, and thus is relegated to the unfortunate few, usually as an example to others, at least at first.

This is the exact time progression with covid: ignorance through omission, disinformation, and propaganda. Bribery through donuts, lottery tickets, lap dances, etc. Blackmail through job loss and restricted rights.

This is the reason for the insane push to achieve 70%+ compliance as of July 1, to avoid having to use force. If THEY actually move on to demand 100% compliance it’s going to get very noisy.

Not sure which video of Luc you are talking about. Do you have a link?

He has stated that vaccination is creating the variants, that the curve of vaccination is followed by the curve of deaths, and that it is unthinkable to do what they are doing, that being vaccinating during a pandemic.

          https://odysee.com/covid-sars-etc:c

He also appeared on Germany’s Stiftung Corona Ausschuss. A number of experts there such as Michael Yeadon (ex Pfizer VP and lead scientist) stated that the vaccine is a bioweapon.

Excellent article today, James. A clear breakdown of the series of events by which POTATUS was able to achieve the throne.

They were going to do it no matter what, and I’m sure Trump figured that out. He didn’t have a big enough circle of power around him to fight it. That much should now be apparent.

So I suppose we just have to toughen up and watch the crash, and try to stay sane and survive.

Most of us have had it pretty cushy compared to previous times in history, so it will be way more shocking for most than if this had happened 100 years ago. I can’t imagine what the fallout will be.

I loved this line: “When I wrote The Long Emergency, I expected we would be living through a period of confusion and disorder, but I didn’t know what it would feel like to go through it: a nauseating existential disorientation, like being seasick on dry land…”

That’s exactly it. I have known this was coming for years, but had no idea what it would actually feel like. The past 1.5 years has given me an inkling – it is horrible.

Tend to agree that real deep dives to prosecute wrongdoing on any issue at the federal level are a thing of the past.

But also, I wonder if Republicans chose the most egregious deep-state injustice of the last five years to focus all their energy on, if there might be increased chance of some meaningful result.

Between the Mueller investigation and election fraud…to me the Mueller stuff is probably the most provably egregious. Should Republicans sort of set aside the election issues and just try to hit the deep state hard on Mueller stuff?

I wonder if they should. I don’t think they will, but I wonder if a more focused and prioritized attack would be more effective.

  24. Beryl of Oyl June 28, 2021 at 12:17 pm #

We see why our government has gone to such lengths to criminalize even being the sort of person who showed up at the Capitol in January.

These are the people who know how to drive those big trucks, and fix them, the people who still know the old ways when the new ways fail.

I posted at this site, some time ago, about the gun owners I know, and how owning their guns was just part of their tradition of self-reliance, and how I’m fortunate to have such people as my friends because they are the people you can turn to in an emergency.

A real emergency, not the kind of emergency where you run around with a hankie on your nose for a year.

Of course I was bashed for praising people who like firearms, but guess what?

When the internet fails and you can’t google how to grow your own food, I’m in good with people who know more than you could learn all day online.

I also have joined a community that has my back, and they are survivalists and preppers. Big here in Idaho as people are way more self-reliant than in general. My neighbors are all campers, hikers, etc. and that’s what I grew up doing.

Sure I’ve grown soft, but in the past year, I’ve learned to grow a vegetable/fruit garden, hauled dirt, built above-ground garden beds, learned how to assemble a lot of gadgets and furniture, and invest in having a full larder and battery run lights and other things.

Today I’ll be out in 100 degree heat clamping covers over the beds to hopefully save my plants from the heatwave.

    …an immersion in totalizing falsehood.

Kind of sums up how the world feels lately, JHK.

Everything “agreed upon” or “normal” has been put to question, as that means it’s not progressive. Even the things we’ve known by our own eyes to be functional true our entire lives. But hey – progressive doesn’t actually mean focusing on bringing positive changes…only constant and neverending changes, no matter the cost.

Mango– That is exactly why I refer to them as “Jacobins.” Read up on them. — JHK-Admin

Apparently society have always been worse and less moral than they are now, and therefore we must keep changing things (whether they currently work or not) to make sure we look good twenty years down the road.

There are indeed many citizens who have had enough of being played by their own government. However, the penalties for joining the opposition are so severe that most people will remain in a duck-and- cover-mode.

There have always been criminal elements in our government, yet these criminals didn’t join together to actively destroy the country until recently. The most obvious criminal move toward overthrowing our government occurred on Friday, November 22, 1963 when JFK was murdered under highly suspicious circumstances. The official cover up of this crime exonerated the real criminals and left the perpetrators in power.

Over the last 5 decades, the so called “Great Society” that resulted from this presidential assassination has brought us to where we are today.

Thank God the “racists” (the Golden Dawn) who tried to stop this were put in jail.

    • SW June 28, 2021 at 2:41 pm #

I don’t know why it’s so hard to look at the facts about escalating violence and immigration. Here’s a look at Sweden:

“What is happening in Sweden? Since 2015, deadly violence has spiked in what many still think of as a quiet corner of Scandinavia. This spate of violence is mainly due to the country’s bloody gang wars, in which both perpetrators and victims are often young men of immigrant origin. The period between 2016 and 2020 saw a yearly average of 112 homicides, compared to an average of 87 in the preceding five years.

Nine out of 10 murders or attempted murders involving a firearm were committed by first-or second-generation immigrants, according to a 2017 report by Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter. The question of any possible link between immigration and violent crime is a toxic one in Sweden, which politicians have long preferred to shy away from.”

      https://spectatorworld.com/topic/sweden-gun-crime-epidemic-spiraling-out-control/

A criminal is a criminal is a criminal. Refusing to enforce the law b/c the government might be seen as xenophobic has reached epidemic proportions and even families of victims are standing up for them.

No male. No female. Just people. Likewise, in Cthulhu, there is no Greek or Jew, nor Afghan, nor Paki. All are ONE! If the Afghan and Pakis didn’t rape her, the Greeks (don’t say men) would have. To think otherwise is a sin against Oneness, against Cthulhu. And friends, that’s one thing you don’t want to do.

How a time “feels” cannot be properly anticipated.

One can theorize what they will do when suffering hunger but they can’t know until they know.

  31. Zoltar June 28, 2021 at 1:48 pm #

Unlike most Americans today I am driven by an irrational compulsion to know the truth of things, despite the fact that there is little that can be done about it any more.

No one does a better job of making connections and ferreting out details of the perfidy in America today than our host on this forum, but I do not share his hopefulness that the truth will out on any of this stuff.

Having lived through Watergate and seen an administration brought down for this sort of chicanery, one might suppose I could imagine it happening again today, but I cannot.

The difference: corporate capture of the media and of government, itself. Even intrepid truth-seekers like Woodward and Bernstein required an ecosystem in which the occasional ray of sunshine reached the forest floor.

Now the truth, even when quite evident to those who wish to see it, is dismissed as an odd, cultish body of belief, if not prohibited altogether.

I do wonder how much longer we will be allowed to share it this way.

    • mauimuse June 28, 2021 at 2:31 pm #

i’m with you Zolt…i prefer reality based living and thinking.
concerning our predicament, i suppose it is only that old human nature rearing it’s true colors again….look at history…happens all the time.

big differences now, though….we find ourselves trapped in a sort of ‘perfect storm’ of accelerating collapse…a situation of our own manufacture…like the great Colorado River dams in the West…seemed like a good idea at the time, didn’t it?
think of what spectacular ruins PhoenixAZ will make!

like the some 27 odd GE Mk2 nuke plants (same type and age as Fukushima) still humming along on the Eastern seaboard just waiting for the next calamity…can you say ‘goodbye, New York’?
      the future Chernobyl.

and folks still chowing down on the radioactive tuna and salmon caught in the radioactive Pacific for the last ten years or so.
      can you say ‘bioaccumulation’?

sir/madam, would you care for a side of Cesium 137 with your salmon?

today, they are expecting 116 degrees in Portland OR.

our entire way of life has become toxic beyond measure.
funny, how collapse works…you chip away at the edifice for years.
and nothing seems to be happening.
      then, finally, surprise, surprise!
      it all goes at once.

      ——————————————

here in Hawaii (Maui) the sheeple tend to be very compliant with the false narrative…folks running along a highway, way out in the middle of nowhere…with a face diaper over their breathing hole…can’t go anywhere without the stupid face diaper that has been long ago proven ineffective…they’re still wearing them over here…and folks still lining up for the ‘no charge to you’ ‘vaccine’.
      jab now, pay later.

      friggin ridiculous.

i saw the money thing for what it is/was long ago when young.
i always knew it was the rulers keeping the rest of us in line since 1913 here in America…took me ’til 1973 to figure it out, though.
      and we called it ‘freedom’.
of course, back then, (when i was young), you could actually afford a home working a regular job…
      these days?
fagetaboutit…life is too short to afford a home these days.
besides,, no one owns a home these days…we just borrow it from the taxman…watch what happens when you stop paying your exorbitant property taxes.
so, when a hard worker realizes he/she has been priced out?
sorta dims the enthusiasm for the system, ya know what i mean?
no wonder at the homeless dropouts…
no wonder at the guy on the ‘Killdozer’ and the fella who crashes his plane into the IRS office.
even when one goes to such extremes…they are still not listening.
so, isn’t that what revolution is about?
when they no longer care about the peoples’ well-being, no, not in the slightest and only pursue their own goal of ruling the planet?
we have a name for that…can you say ‘megalomania’?

and yes, i agree with beantownbill…

‘There won’t be any revolution until the general population loses what is valuable to them. That includes abundant food, social media, computer games and tv.’

nothing less than that will get these complacent sheeples to start thinking critically for themselves again.

thanks for the (mostly) intelligent posts here…glad to be a part of your thinking community.

“Who knew that reality could become such a squishy thing in the USA?”

Reality becoming a ‘squishy thing in the USA’ is not a new development. And not just in the USA but anywhere in the World where groups of humans gather and some wish to lord it over all the others. As for the USA, a short review of any portion of the last 250 years reveals any number of ‘historical’ events that are… just. not. as. they. said. they. were.

When reality does not serve the purposes you demand, you make it up as you want it to appear as you go along and you re-write ‘history’ to seal and codify the distortions for eternity. Then, you ‘teach’ those distortions to all new generations who then carry the social-contract train further and further off the mainline track and right into some ditch until the original road bed is no longer within one’s sight-line.

“…the Fourth of July, a holiday that commemorates an earlier time when the people of this land had enough of being played by their rulers.”

And so now… all these years later… we’re just going through all these same things again over and over. Some ‘progress’ in all those years, huh?

Meanwhile, the weighty concerns of those living in The Truman Show:

University Bans The Phrase “Trigger Warning” Because It Might Be… Triggering
Also bans ‘picnic’, ‘rule of thumb’ and ‘take a shot at it’ because they are ‘racist’ or ‘violent’… or something

“An arts college in Waltham, MA has banned the use of words and phrases it deems to be ‘violent’ or ‘racist’, replacing them with bland alternatives in an effort to prevent anyone from being offended.

The Daily Mail reports that Brandeis University has “created an anti-violence resource called the Prevention, Advocacy & Resource Center which provides information and advice to students and staff.”

Among the phrases to have been banned are, ironically, ‘trigger warning’ which had to go because of its association to guns, along with ‘take a shot at it’ for the same reason.

Similarly, ‘take a stab at it’ and ‘killing it’ have been described as ‘oppressive language’ and replaced by ‘try’ and ‘great job’. “If someone is doing well, we don’t need to equate that to murder!” the college’s explanation reads.”

Go to the link to see the chart of banned language and the replacement you need to use:

As my old grannie used to say – scratch a Christian and you’ll find a bigot.

          • Anthea June 29, 2021 at 5:09 am #

Your old grannie sounds to me like she was a bigot: “a person who is obstinately or unreasonably attached to a belief, opinion, or faction, especially one who is prejudiced against or antagonistic toward a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group.”

This perhaps does not necessarily make her all bad, as it is fairly commonplace for people to prefer their own opinions, etc., to those of others–unless of course you are a liberal, and you place all your faith in the opinions of others, and none in your own, preferring that others do your thinking for you. To me, this suggests a condition of confessed mental deficiency.

In defense of bigots–or perhaps I should say in further defense of bigots–it is also quite commonplace for people to feel antagonistic against people who are trying to harm or kill you.

          • hmuller June 29, 2021 at 5:31 pm #

The way it works Anthea is that you’re a bigot if you have any opinions Tekapo doesn’t like..

He of the majestic rational mind; however, may insult, mock, revile, and trash your most sacredly held beliefs and values. He’s not a bigot; he’ a debunker.of wrong thinking and conspiracy theories.

So unappreciated, one wonders what keeps him at this site, instead of golfing, yachting, and guzzling chardonnay.

But don’t worry about his granny. Someone dropped a house on her.

          • Tekapo June 29, 2021 at 5:59 pm #

It’s nothing to do with being liberal or anything else. I was merely commenting upon the alleged “Christian” named OGH – he uses a lot of swear words and lots of bigoted insults.

He even childishly saddles me with a girl’s name – as if that’s an insult. It is misogyny straight out of the 1950s.

Virtually all religions are bigoted – almost be definition. They are cults, with very strict boundaries between the included and excluded. Creepy.

            Grannie was right.

            Tekapo

Here’s a lesson for you and your granny about the way the universe works “Things” (aka holons) from simple cells to human societies to galaxies are defined by what they include and what they exclude. The identity, nature, integrity, and indeed survival of such a “holon” means it can’t welcome everything foreign into its house. At the same time elements within the house must not be divided against one another.

For what it’s worth, I learned it from the book below: The author, by the way, was a very New World Order kind of guy who believed in drugging the masses into docility without their consent.

“The collapse of authority is especially striking and disturbing…”

Authority has not collapsed. Quite the contrary.
    It has coalesced.
    It is a hegemon.

The power, control, and right to it is firmly in hand.
    More than ever.

And we are powerless in challenging it.

What has collapsed are more important:

-from where the authority derives (the constitution, rule of law)

-the check on authority (the 4th estate/press, a thinking and organized and united populace)

    • MaryQueen June 28, 2021 at 3:07 pm #

Still here, just getting much more concerned about what is happening just about everywhere.

You know I an skeptical about the mRNA predictions.

Here is my suggestion to wipe out both sides of the BS contest.

One side says that spike proteins are running all over the body creating toxic reactions with the immune system. No one has explained how this would happen, how they will drift all over, and what is the toxic reaction that is occurring.

The other side says that over 90% of the MRNA and the proteins stay in the arm and do not endanger the vast majority.

Supporting the former is the current look at the heart inflammation situation with young people.

Now logic tells me that if I want to prove a cause and effects, I should look at the first order item directly. There are two, areas of concentrations of s proteins and some sort of toxic inflammatory response. When the Crud was running full tilt, autopsies were showing lungs looking like Swiss cheese from the toxic immune responses. So if the people trying to say that there are”bad” proteins running all over the body and it is killing people, stop talking statistics and go into 6000 dead folks and find it, find body wide s proteins. Even easier would be to find the toxic reactions to deep inflammation. Hmmm, let’s see, if they died from heart attack, check out the heart, if kidney failure, the kidneys, If blood clotting, look in the blood vessels.

VAERs data is worthless without corroborative evidence that the damage from toxic reaction is causing the deaths, directly. How about someone spending some energy chasing the problem directly instead of just speculating on some hypothesis.

That is what I have harped on from the beginning, grabbing people’s postulates that support your feelings does not prove anything.

Number two, statistically the VAERs data is worthless unless the have a control group of people who have not been vaxxed with the same physical conditions To run as a control. Just supposing, what if the control group loses the same amount of deaths and hurts as the vaxxed group. I am not arguing one way or the other, there just is almost no data to support either side. WAGs do not count here.

I wish that this simple data collection should have been done on the original 44000. Oops, no one died? Hmmm. Maybe a blood draw from potential inflammation sites to see if high amounts of s proteins or tissue destruction has occurred from the immune response .

Who is blocking this investigation? Both sides? Is so much power and money at stake here to make legitimate investigation impossible.

        • Redneck Liberal June 28, 2021 at 10:08 pm #

Good query JohnAZ. However, I’m awaiting with trepidation the scathing rebuke you’ve set yourself up for from neurodoc who has, in the past, dismissed your medical knowledge as a “joke”, being only that of a lowly nurse.

In the same vein, though, if I recall correctly, his first (or a very early) post was claiming that Bill Gates nano-bots would be injected with the vaccines as a tracking device. Right.

          • JohnAZ June 28, 2021 at 10:39 pm #

            Uh, no fear.

After reading some of his claims, his attitude about the folks that do most of the hands on work and entry assessment in the hospital says it all. I learned beaucoup of respect for the MDs and what they have to put up with in their practices. Most of them . There is always those that think they are smarter about everything than everyone else. What I stated before was never wrong, I talked about things I do understand trying to fill in people with the workings of the immune system. I asked ND to correct anything I said and fill in information on what I do not know. He declined and showed obviously how superior he thinks he is, making sure all those nurses tow his line. The same nurses that make him successful or a failure.

            Have at it Doc.

    From my friend, Paula:

“I just followed a link to WHO’s website on how to talk your family and friends into taking the jab. Check it out. Not one word about safety or effectiveness, it’s all about getting ”back to normal”
In case anyone wonders why we’ve been locked down for a year…

”When discussing vaccination, nothing works as well as getting personal. Share your own reasons for wanting to get vaccinated and, if you’re in a position to, your experience of vaccination.

Talk to them about how getting vaccinated against COVID-19 could offer a path back to normalcy. Explain the benefits of vaccination, whether it’s being able to visit family and friends again, return to the office, get children back to school, spend time with classmates or other interactions and activities that have been strained because of COVID-19.

If you previously had concerns that you worked through, and ended up getting vaccinated against COVID-19, share what helped reassure you.

Describe how vaccination will help protect you, your family and your community and bring back the activities and pleasures of life that we’ve gone without.

There is nowhere near the same tightly controlled media there was in the century between say 1890 and 1990. The Internet and cable TV channels have allowed a vast proliferation of news and information sources today that were unimaginable in our parents’ generation.

Anybody with a domain name can start a blog and discussion group.

I think the level of “control” can be way over-exaggerated. I agree with one of the subtext of JHK – the world isn’t heading into some OWG huge corporatist state – there is fractioning into a whole of tribes and enclaves.

The WEF Great Reset is capital’s wish list and Product Disclosure Statement – it isn’t a blueprint for de-population and world domination.

A proliferation in cable channels doesn’t mean each has a different owner, an independent policy. You know very well how the media has consolidated into 6 mega-enterprises. And it sure sounds like they all dance to the same centrally directed music.

    -Venous thromboembolism
    -Arthritis and arthralgia/joint pain
    -Kawasaki disease
    -Multisymptom Inflammatory Syndrome in Children
    -Vaccine enhanced disease

It’s all right there folks. Everything we are seeing and these rat bastards are trying to gaslight you into believing isn’t happening or “isn’t related” was 100% anticipated by the FDA in October. All of the clotting and coagulation. All of the heart damage. All of the female reproductive issues. All of the people dropping dead, either from heart attack or stroking out. All of the sick children – “Multisymptom Inflammatory Syndrome in Children” is a completely new term. And if you don’t know what Kawasaki Disease is: “Kawasaki disease is an illness that causes inflammation (swelling and redness) in blood vessels throughout the body. It happens in three phases, and a lasting fever usually is the first sign. The condition most often affects kids younger than 5 years old.”

And, of course, as we have been saying for a LOOOONG time in this space, “Vaccine enhanced disease” – meaning the injection actually supercharges any CoronaVirus into a killer, when it should only be a seasonal cold. We’ll know on or around September 15th when the next cold season starts if this is the case.

ALL OF IT was FULLY ANTICIPATED by the FDA months before they even rolled out the DeathJabs.

Largest crime against humanity EVER perpetrated. If Capital punishment is not meted out for this, then every Nazi executed at Nuremberg in ’46 deserves a full apology, and Washington DC should be renamed Mengeleville.

Brilliant observation that. I and I ‘spect quite a few others out there have been talking about the unreality of it as it’s played out in real time. Thanks to people like you who can place it in perfect sentence. An art indeed!

‘The Final Piece Of The Puzzle’: Former Democrat Congresswoman Blames ‘Zionists’ For 9/11 Attacks

Former Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-GA) posted an anti-Semitic conspiracy theory on Twitter on Monday that falsely claimed that “Zionists” were behind the September 11, 2001, Islamic terrorist attacks.

McKinney posted a picture of a puzzle that showed the World Trade Centers on fire. The puzzle said, “Zionists did it.” McKinney posted the picture and added: “The Final Piece of the Puzzle…”

    http://www.tathasta.com/2021/06/the-final-piece-of-puzzle-former.html

    ——

    Zionists? What the …

I thought it was a Saudi elite kid, ex-CIA, on US Military kidney dialysis conspiring with NORAD to stand-down the Eastern seaboard and 19 cocaine-snorting, strip club-frequenting, ultra-religious jihadis from remote caves in the Afghan mountains. That’s what I was told!

    I’m so confused.

Damn you, Occam! You’re Razor method has proven accurate yet again.

Zionists! And God has told us that the entire planet would, indeed, turn against Israel. Makes ya think.

    • MaryQueen June 28, 2021 at 8:43 pm #

When one considers that our gov’t are 100% zionist, it’s not so far-fetched.

The tired old claim that the charge of zionist is anti-semetic is absolute bullshit. The zionists are extremists in charge with all the power, not the Jewish or Israeli people.

I like that Cynthia McKinney. She was one black woman who couldn’t be bought or intimated into going along to get along. Very different from The Wig from Watts Waters, (Who I think also played “Aunt Esther” on Sanford & Son?)

You got me to thinking, OG. If Occam had written about the Clintons, the coroner would have ruled his death suicide by his own razor.

Jason Rantz, Seattle-based conservative radio host: “Former Democrat congresswoman from Georgia and Squad member emeritus. Current anti-Semite.”

Avi Mayer, Managing Director of Global Communications for AJC Global: “This individual, who is promoting an insane conspiracy theory alleging that Jews carried out 9/11, served six terms as a member of Congress. @Twitter , why is @CynthiaMcKinney still permitted to use this platform to spread hate-filled lies?”

Yair Rosenberg, Senior Writer of Tablet Magazine: “This person is no longer consequential, but the antisemitic bigotry she is reflecting still is. Notice how she doesn’t say “the Jews” did 9/11, she says “the Zionists” did it. This substitution is one of the most common ways antisemites today lazily try to launder their hate.”

Harry Khachatrian, Daily Wire contributor: “I look forward to the follow-up tweet where she explains how blaming the Jews for 9/11 is merely an innocuous criticism of the Israeli government.”

Lahav Harkov, Editor at The Jerusalem Post: “I don’t need to solve a puzzle to know you’re a bigot.”

Logan Ratick, Newsmax correspondent: “Ringleader and hijacker Mohamed Atta is unavailable for comment because he flew a plane into the North tower. One of the reasons he did was because our country supports Israel. Mask off for this tinfoil hat-wearing former Congresswoman.”

Back in the late 1930’s or early 1940’s during the Manhattan Project some accredited physicists thought that exploding an atomic bomb would cause an unstoppable chain reaction that would wipe out everyone on Earth, and therefore atomic bomb research should be permanently halted. After all, they were recognized in their field as brilliant. Kind of reminds me of what is happening here in the 2020’s.

    Schopenhauer quotes

All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Life swings like a pendulum backward and forward between pain and boredom.

A man can do what he wants, but not want what he wants.
Compassion is the basis of morality.

Talent hits a target no one else can hit; Genius hits a target no one else can see.

To live alone is the fate of all great souls.

Every man takes the limits of his own field of vision for the limits of the world.

Change alone is eternal, perpetual, immortal.

After your death you will be what you were before your birth.
The two enemies of human happiness are pain and boredom.

Obstinacy is the will taking the place of the intellect.

Yes, there has been deaths and sicknesses from the vaccines, but why trust the stated numbers? Seems inconsistent to me that people absolutely trust VAERS reports mostly made by the public, but not the many rank and file medical experts,

4,000 deaths out of at least 150 million vaccinated seems to be extremely low risk. Saying future deaths will become a chain reaction in the future is the same as saying an A-bomb will will wipe out humanity.

Now maybe millions or billions will die, including me, but most likely not, so I’m not really concerned. If God wanted us to fly, he would have given us wings. Finally, 4,000+ deaths are a sorrowful tragedy, but life does go on.

    • JohnAZ June 28, 2021 at 8:33 pm #

      Bill

All 150 million of the vaxxed folks will die eventually, as will all the Un vaxxed folks, eventually.

That is about all we really know right now. All the rest is someone’s conjecture.

        Hey JAZ!

NBC had US people jabbed at least once at over 176,000,000 about a week ago.

        Globally, I have heard both 2,000,000,000 and 23.1% (~1,800,000,000).

    • MrMangoOnMyShoulder June 28, 2021 at 8:57 pm #

Don’t have the link in front of me (apologies), but pretty sure I read that more have died from this experimental vaccine than all of the experimental vaccines combined going back to the 70’s. They usually put the brakes on at 15-30.

Please feel free to correct me, as I’m paraphrasing from memory…but that’s a worthy stat. Then again, no experimental vaccine in the US ever had 150M test subjects, so I’ll give you that.

      • MaryQueen June 28, 2021 at 10:35 pm #

You are correct. There is no reasoning with these guys. First they said 1 covid death was too many. Now 1000s of vax deaths don’t matter because it’s for the ‘greater good’ or whatever.

They post the same questions every week and ignore the responses.

        • JohnAZ June 28, 2021 at 11:49 pm #

That is why proof is needed, s proteins witnessed in the fatality organs or toxic inflammation associated with s proteins. I would think 6000 autopsies would be enough to catch a correlation or even a definite cause and effect.

Until the connection is made as conjectured, the PTB that are using the uncertainty as a weapon will just continue to keep getting away with it. Example

The delta variant. I watch new cases which are low, low right now. I keep watching the states looking for up trends. NOT a one. Some flat but most declining. The MSM however is trying to cash fear into the public with a big BS story about how much the cases are increasing due to delta. It is not.

The crud is in control for whatever reason you might come up with. The PTB are not.

People became possessed of the most amazing ideas, not only the rich and the powerful but especially them, especially in this period of flux after communism did a faceplant, as the USSR went down the tubes, as Yugoslavia broke apart and then flared into a nasty war and many other happenings. Happenings like that massive economic reshuffle called globalization. It seems that all this went to certain people’s heads making them draw the most extraordinary conclusions.

The central animating idea was that any significant decision-making ought to take place in corporate boardrooms and not in government offices or national legislatures. A lot of people at the upper end of American society thought this, not just those in C Suites.

But the more things change and the more they remain the same. One Mikhail Khodorkovsky, a phenomenally rich Russian profiting massively from the Soviet sale of state assets, crossed Putin and got thrown in jail for ten years. Compared to other Russians who got on the wrong side of Putin, Mikhail is at least still alive. At least I think he is. And he supposedly still has some of his money.

Carlos Ghosn formerly of Renault and Nissan got presumptuous and apparently stepped on some nationalist sensitivities over in the Land of the Rising Sun. He’s on the run and reportedly holed up in Lebanon.

Jack Ma got a hat size too big and started saying what he really thinks. He got reeled in by the CCP. He’s been pretty quiet lately. And there’s probably others like Jack and Carlos and Mikhail that got too far over their skis that we haven’t heard about.

But other corporate heads have been good little doobies. Seems that Tim Cook realized who calls the shots in China, ie not Tim Cook. He’s been spotted now and again staring into the middle distance re-thinking his convictions, and according to one account I read, wrote a kow-towing letter to the boys in Beijing after they expressed some displeasure over Apple business practices.

The head of Nike, John Donahoe, just said that Nike is a brand of and for China. Good move. More of that John. It’s not just all about money, at least not in China, it’s also about words of love, those beautiful whispered sweet nothings, you know, plus self-abasement and willing subjugation, these are what the Beijing billionaire communists really like.

To the point then. It’s not just some of the political movers and shakers over yonder that object to this concept that business men rule everything of any consequence and give governments orders instead of the other way around. Back in those more traditional places, where history isn’t history and the past isn’t even past, there’s a hierarchy of power and money-men aren’t at the tip. It’s men that command men with guns that rule.

Over on this side of the pond, a similar sentiment took hold where multitudes of ordinary people took severe exception to this notion that they count for nothing, that their needs and interests don’t matter, that they’re all racists and idiots and deplorable anyway, and according to the traditional right-ward side of the political spectrum, they ought to accept their diminished economic circumstances with smiling equanimity as good patriotic Americans. Because that’s what the market sez. Well, phooey to all that.

Which places us where we’re at now. The whole globalism scheme was cockamamie from the start, with no economic sense behind it, with engorged corporate balance sheets looking like gigantic, bulging financial aneurysms ready to blow on the one hand and half the population that can’t make the rent on the other. Cockamamie or not, American Oligarchs and their Deep State errand boys are fully invested and are defending their newly found prerogatives tooth and nail. A good thirty years and more have been spent plus uncounted billions on this dispensation of things and no mere election and no one such as Trump is going to un-do it. Or even challenge it. They even send trolls to this web-site.

But the system they’ve devised is barking mad. It hasn’t got a leg to stand on and, in reality, all the crazy shit that our esteemed host writes about in today’s post amounts to floundering attempts to salvage something out of this complete fucking debacle.

If history is any guide, and it usually is, this won’t end well for American shot-callers that screwed up so massively, nor the nation-state that they purport to run. Events are out of their control, and to a great part of the American populace, they look ridiculous. And if they want to stay on top, they can’t afford to look ridiculous.

I think I know who you are from a previous incarnation on this site but let’s just leave that alone. I don’t think you’re a troll. I just don’t see that. We may not agree on things but that’s fine. I always say call it as you see it. And I think you’ve got a good heart.

As far as trolls go, they’re kind of like skunks. Before I go there, a skunk story. A long time ago there was a family of skunks living under a neighbor’s garage. They’d come out at night. My mother would put out a plate of left-overs for them. We’d watch from the kitchen window as they fed and then go on their way. They sometimes didn’t smell so good but nobody bothered them. That’s my skunk story. And now I’m going to contradict what I just said.

Regardless of what we did way back, you should generally leave skunks alone because there’s not much percentage in engaging with them. Like trolls.

And skunks are hard to make out because they come out under cover of nightfall. Trolls are sometimes hard to make out because they have the cover of this electronic monstrosity we use.

But you can smell skunks. Like skunks you know a troll by the smell.

And if it smells like a troll, it’s a troll, government paid or not. Trust your olfactory apparatus. And, like a skunk, give it a wide berth.

No doubt he’s referring to Lake Michigan. Watch the clip and see your Indiana beach for yourself.

It is so easy when you’re cis-gendered hetero straight white middle-class male to heap scorn on others who aren’t at the top of the capitalist dominant-culture totem pole.

The is exactly what Critical Race Theory is all about – you, those like you, your attitudes, and your unquestioned hegemony. That’s why I support it strongly. Comeuppance will come.

Those finding fault with the Pride Parade are hardly “at the top of the capitalist dominant-culture totem pole.”

Since you seem to find fault with the attitudes of “cis-gendered hetero straight white middle-class males” (and presumably females), it would be enlightening if you could tell us which of the values and attitudes on display at the Pride Parade that you find praiseworthy.

We have heard a great deal about the values and attitudes promoted by CRT. Perhaps you could tell us which of these you find praiseworthy. I know of none.

I could list many values and attitudes of the white middle class that are praiseworthy. If they have often fared better in life than the “disadvantaged,” it is perhaps because the “disadvantaged” have shown a tendency to reject these values and virtues. Some of these would be education, personal responsibility, a sense of responsibility for others (particularly ones children and other family members), honesty, the cultivation of skills, diligence, prudence, modesty, restraint, etc.

    Shwetashwatara Upanishad

4.9 He hath no master in all this world, there is none that shall rule over Him. Nor features nor distinctions hath He; for He is begetting cause and effect and sovran over the lords of natural organs, but Himself hath no begetter neither any sovran.

    • SomeoneInAsia June 28, 2021 at 11:31 pm #

      ‘Sovran’? You mean… ‘sovereign’.

As I understand them, the Upanishads are supposed to be talking about a state of spiritual realization in passages like this. It would seem to me a gross misappropriation of them for any of the psychopathic elite of today to use such passages to legitimize themselves — though of course it doesn’t mean they can’t and won’t do that.

      @Pucker

Have you read the book “Stand on Zanzibar” by John Brunner? It was a REMARKABLY prescient book about life in the overpopulated world of the 21st century. One thing it anticipated is a supercomputer replacing the decentralized intelligence of the free market. The computer’s name was “Shalmaneser.” I’ve always wondered if this name, the name of ancient Assyrian kings, was carefully chosen, a symbolism of sorts, implying conquest and subjugation of the human spirit.

I can imagine AI supplanting the free market in the pursuit of greater efficiency in the production of wealth and power. However, life will be devoid of the meaning that only human beings can confer upon it. Man does not live by bread alone.

  63. shox June 28, 2021 at 10:30 pm #

“When I wrote The Long Emergency, I expected we would be living through a period of confusion and disorder, but I didn’t know what it would feel like to go through it: a nauseating existential disorientation, like being seasick on dry land… like living in a German expressionist horror movie of the 1920s (and we know what that led to)… like being held prisoner inside Franz Kafka’s castle: an immersion in totalizing falsehood.”

Amazingly well put. I feel the exact same way. Here are some memorable passages from Orwell’s 1984, including the bit where O’Brien makes clear the ruling party’s disdain for truth and objective reality:

“Everything faded into mist. The past was erased, the erasure was forgotten, the lie became truth.”

“This day-to-day falsification of the past, carried out by the Ministry of Truth, is as necessary to the stability of the regime as the work of repression and espionage carried out by the Ministry of Love.”

“The mutability of the past is the central tenet of Ingsoc. Past events, it is argued, have no objective existence, but survive only in written records and in human memories. The past is whatever the records and the memories agree upon. And since the Party is in full control of all records and in equally full control of the minds of its members, it follows that the past is whatever the Party chooses to make it. It also follows that though the past is alterable, it never has been altered in any specific instance. For when it has been recreated in whatever shape is needed at the moment, then this new version IS the past, and no different past can ever have existed. This holds good even when, as often happens, the same event has to be altered out of recognition several times in the course of a year. At all times the Party is in possession of absolute truth, and clearly the absolute can never have been different from what it is now. It will be seen that the control of the past depends above all on the training of memory.”

“DOUBLETHINK means the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one’s mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them. The Party intellectual knows in which direction his memories must be altered; he therefore knows that he is playing tricks with reality; but by the exercise of DOUBLETHINK he also satisfies himself that reality is not violated. The process has to be conscious, or it would not be carried out with sufficient precision, but it also has to be unconscious, or it would bring with it a feeling of falsity and hence of guilt. DOUBLETHINK lies at the very heart of Ingsoc, since the essential act of the Party is to use conscious deception while retaining the firmness of purpose that goes with complete honesty. To tell deliberate lies while genuinely believing in them, to forget any fact that has become inconvenient, and then, when it becomes necessary again, to draw it back from oblivion for just so long as it is needed, to deny the existence of objective reality and all the while to take account of the reality which one denies—all this is indispensably necessary.”

“It need hardly be said that the subtlest practitioners of DOUBLETHINK are those who invented DOUBLETHINK and know that it is a vast system of mental cheating. In our society, those who have the best knowledge of what is happening are also those who are furthest from seeing the world as it is. In general, the greater the understanding, the greater the delusion; the more intelligent, the less sane.”

“But I tell you, Winston, that reality is not external. Reality exists in the human mind, and nowhere else. Not in the individual mind, which can make mistakes, and in any case soon perishes: only in the mind of the Party, which is collective and immortal. Whatever the Party holds to be the truth, is truth. It is impossible to see reality except by looking through the eyes of the Party. That is the fact that you have got to relearn, Winston. It needs an act of selfdestruction, an effort of the will. You must humble yourself before you can become sane.”

    • MaryQueen June 28, 2021 at 10:39 pm #

      John Rappaport:

“Collectivism: “Everybody is connected to everybody. Government decides how they’re connected, and what they must do, to contribute to the Greater Whole.”

      Anytime someone tells you…

      You can’t exercise your freedom…

Because every move you make adversely affects someone else…

Know you’re looking at a con.

“By walking out on the street in New York without a mask, yawning, stretching your arms, looking at the sky, you’re devastating the life of a man in Bombay.”

It’s the wet dream of every little Collectivist. “We really ARE all in this together. Finally.”

Meanwhile, every corrupt politician sees the opportunity to tell lies and issue edicts on a larger stage. The curtain is going up, and he can sink his teeth into a leading role. He can bloviate to his heart’s content about The Good. He’s fighting a war and he doesn’t have to expose himself to a single bullet from the enemy. He’s Mussolini and he has medical backup.”

Congress is supposed to be the font of knowledge to create national planning, people of every stripe joined together to give us good ideas and positive change.

What the heck happened? Are we too specialized, too technical?

Think about the MDs in our Congress, Rand Paul is one example. Yet the government signs up to a guy who may be compromised by connections to the outfit that may have started the whole mess in the first place. Until Rand confronted him, no one had the guts to counter him. That is the problem with collectivism to one man rule, it never gets better than one guy or gal.

Interview between Reiner Fullmich’s panel and Brian Gerrish:

“Brian Gerrish: I agree with that, and if we want to inject some good news into our discussion, the people we are up against, the people we are fighting, are inherent liars. They tell lies; they do not tell the truth. And the problem with that is that eventually, they become caught in their own lies. So I think this is a big part of what’s started to happen.

I can give you another example, from within the UK, of where we see that there has suddenly been some emerging fear in the system. The UK agency which is responsible for the safety and regulation of medication is called the MHRA, the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency. That is the organisation which has been collecting data on vaccine adverse effects, and for you and anyone who’s ultimately watching or listening, their latest reports are that within the UK, there have been 859,481 adverse reactions …

Reiner Füllmich: Did you say 850,000?!

Brian Gerrish: 859,481. And there have been 1,213 deaths. Now, those statistics are the UK Government’s own statistics; they’ve not come from me, they’ve come from the UK Government, and they come from the MHRA Yellow Card system.

This is supposedly the safety system by which anybody who comes into contact with an adverse vaccine reaction—whether it be something you experienced yourself or you witnessed as a family member or friend, or indeed if you’re somebody in the medical profession—you should log a Yellow Card vaccine adverse reaction message, and it is the MHRA that holds that database.

Now, in the MHRA’s own documentation, they stated in 2018 that to their knowledge, for any medication, including vaccines, less than 10% of the serious adverse reactions were ever recorded. Less than 10%! And for more minor vaccine adverse reactions, they said that the figure recorded would be between 2% and 4% [of the actual total].

Now, if we consider that statement against [the record of] 859,000 adverse reactions and 1,213 deaths, we could be looking at 12,000 people who have died.”

    • Tekapo June 29, 2021 at 1:18 am #

Now, if we consider that statement against [the record of] 859,000 adverse reactions and 1,213 deaths, we could be looking at 12,000 people who have died.

Very hard to sustain the logic. I can see that minor reactions might be well under-reported, but on the other side, how many of the 859,000 were very minor anyway? He doesn’t say.

But I think deaths would be far more likely to be recorded – and we have to make some big leaps to verify that all those deaths were as a result of the vaccine.

And the 859,000 adverse reactions – out of how many total doses? What percentages are we discussing here? He doesn’t say.

I’m not a booster for the vaccines (pardon the pun) – but nor do I accept these sorts of stats without some fleshed-out proper details.
