Of course, you realize that if this tragic business in the Middle East gets out of hand millions of people might die, maybe even you and me. Any way you cut it, looks like Islam wants to rumble. Basic problem: the little slab of land on the Mediterranean at issue is in the possession of one group of people and another group of people wants to drive them out. There is no “two state solution” because there is only one place in that place.

The world has already forgotten the butchery of October 7. Islam won’t even go so far as to acknowledge that something happened there, or that it matters. This is a quandary for Western Civ which operates lately on the ethos that anything goes and nothing matters. Face it: that’s a luxury belief. A society in collapse learns painfully that the first thing to go is luxury, Louis Vuitton bags and foolish Woke thinking. Western Civ may not be able to pretend any longer that nothing matters.

The reason Israel is where it is is because Western Civ treated the Jews abominably in the 1930s and 40s. The result, establishing a state of Israel in its historic location, was a power move, of course, by the powers who won the Second World War, but it had the imprimatur of a sacred duty. We’ve forgotten the impact, even to regular grunt US soldiers who liberated the extermination camps of Europe, of the unspeakable barbarism they encountered. It maimed the psyche of Western Civ to discover what savagery its best educated member nation turned out to be capable of. Is there any question that Germany lost its mind in those years?

Western Civ has been busy losing its mind for about seven years now. It’s so tormented that it has been flirting with suicide, for instance, allowing its borders to be overwhelmed with swarms of declared antagonists to Western culture. The European Union guilt-tripped themselves into letting that happen. The process in the USA appears more sinister and calculated, a sheer political ploy. In any case, nobody is lifting a finger to stop it.

Israel is a full-fledged member of that lunatic asylum. Israel is engaged in as much of a civil war between Left and Right as its godfathers in Europe and North America are enduring. On top of that, Israel decided to become the poster-child for Covid-19 vaccination “uptake.” It seemed like a valiant stand in the first flush of the Covid “crisis,” but now it looks more like they poisoned more than 90-percent of their population. You don’t hear much about it these days, but it’s lurking there, just like the massive vaccine damage that Europe and America have by stealth sustained lurks in the background of rising war fever and disintegrating economies.

It looks like the Islamic nations that surround Israel like a child in an alligator pit have made the calculation that now is the time to gobble up the little interloper. Trouble is, that child is armed to the teeth. It also looks like the alligators don’t care. It happens that they have small alligator brains, not that good for gaming out clashes of civilizations. All they care about is chomp chomp and gulp gulp. One question they fail to ask: Would the Middle East actually be a better place without an Israel? I bet this hasn’t occurred to any of them. Once it’s gone, they’ll be chomping and gulping each other, I assure you.

Our nation, under the leadership of “Joe Biden” (…iden…iden…iden…iden…), has deployed our mighty warships in the waters all around and amongst Israel’s adversaries. Hard to see how that couldn’t happen, our sacred duty and all. If called upon, they can probably do a lot of damage — though there is plenty of reason to believe that Iran has enough anti-ship cruise missiles to create a big problem for us. Heck, Iran has enough long range conventional guided missiles to turn Haifa and Tel Aviv into ashtrays. But then, five minutes later, the same would be true for Teheran and Damascus, only they’d be radioactive. And who knows what those swarms of moiling migrants in the US and Euroland might be inspired to do, when it comes to that?

Jihad is in the offing. Too many are itching to set it off. Now they’re just waiting for an excuse, a reason to ignite the fuses. The obvious excuse would be an Israeli military incursion into Gaza. That would git’er done, I’m sure. The Israelis must realize this. Despite prior expectations, though, and even given the thirst for vengeance, they might realize it’s unnecessary. They’ve done enough bombing in Gaza. They could neutralize the command network of Hamas pretty much the same way they got the Black September ringleaders of the Munich Olympics massacre, 1972 — a methodical hunt over years, decades. They don’t have to shout from the rooftops, either. Everyone will know.

There is the fate of the Gaza hostages to consider. It doesn’t look good. Given enough time, of course, they can be shuttled around geographically here, there, and everywhere and concealed for years. They have value. World opinion will turn on the hostage-takers, though you might argue that no longer matters. I rather expect that rescue operations are well-planned and some may be carried out. But, overall, many of these poor pawns are apt to be lost. Tragic is tragic.

If we manage to avoid World War Three, America has its own grave problem to consider, which is comprehensive collapse — of economic activity, the financial scaffold for it, and of civil order in a society under deadly stress. Most of this damage has been induced by our own political leaders. Now that the House of Representatives has been put in order, it’s time for that body to act expeditiously and relieve “Joe Biden” of his responsibilities… and then Ms. Harris… and then Messrs. Garland, Mayorkas, and Wray. Out with them, post haste, and begin the project to save our own country.

Decent summary, although the final paragraph fails to connect the dots. The coming war is the reason the criminals in question won’t be properly investigated, never mind relieved of their duties, never mind actually prosecuted and imprisoned. A trick so time tested and true that even a geriatric dunderhead like Biden couldn’t miss it. Not to mention the war criminal in charge in Israel.

My first comment criticized the Breitbart quote, calling the “news” source a propoganda medium. You can have that.

Please demonstrate what was obnoxious in my second comment.
It is your blog, you can do whatever you wish. You should just say that. Otherwise, demonstrate what was obnoxious in second comment.

Actually, this demonstration of obnoxious should suffice. Petulant seems fitting.

I have spent the whole day yesterday reading the comments just trying to find out if anyone knows why the best (so they say) intelligence service and army let October 7th happen. Why the security was down? I was told that even a bird flying too close to the border would set the siren.
        Was it planned?
To me it looks so weird!
First there comes COVID. And all the world can think and talk – is IT. Then in a blink of an eye COVID is forgotten, everyone is cured. All the world thinks and talks is Ukraine-Ukraine-Ukraine. And now – this. And Ukraine is somewhere in the background. Now it is Israel-Hamas, Hamas-Israel.
So tell me, are we the spectators at someone’s play, or we are dolls on strings, and someone plays us?

        • Ron Anselmo October 28, 2023 at 2:09 pm #

Lisa – we are both. On strings, made to watch their play. Cut the strings, so you don’t have to watch their play. Then focus on family, friends and anyone else you can help, in that order. Time better spent for the future that awaits us very shortly.

          • Lisa October 28, 2023 at 7:10 pm #

            Good advice! Thanks
Still it doesn’t explain why October 7th happened. How the Israelis missed the training, the whole preparation of the attack. I believe that USA intelligence has its eye on this part of world too – and also missed it. Something very dirty, very ugly is going on, and we have to pretend we are not suspecting anything?

        • kendar667 October 30, 2023 at 12:03 am #

I assume this is a rhetorical question. Literally the best intelligence and security apparatus in the world did not make a mistake or miss the big move. Egypt was telling Israel for several days that there was a massive mobilization underway and undoubtably Israel knew this already. So the real question is why did Israel stand down. The obvious answer is they wanted s Pearl harbor or Reichstag fire depending on your point of view. Let your enemy hit you then destroy them. Maybe too obvious I dunno.

Jimmy: Nice thoughts BUT you like JHK have not addressed the axiom that ” ALL wars are banker’s wars”. or the question “CUI BONO?” Unfortunately, the 4,000-year-old system has been rigged to make it unlikely that anybody can strike the root. Perhaps the new yuga we have entered will remedy this impasse. Otherwise, changing our alleged “leaders” will have as much impact as changing your underwear.

I think it was Douglas McGregor who mentioned a few days ago how the MIC works comparatively between Russia and the U.S. Probably the same mindset in China.

Take Biden’s latest war budget proposal for example: $60 billion to Ukraine, $40 billion to Israel, $10 billion to Taiwan and $2 billion to “secure our border” (that horse already left the barn with a Hamas camp in Mexico and God only knows how many terrorist sleeper cells now in the US with their handy-dandy burner phones).

He pointed out that the majority of all the expenditures will end up in the pockets of the MIC like Boeing, TRW, McDonnell Douglas etc.

These mega death corporations have made a point to be located in every Congressional district in the U.S. They give major contributions to members of Congress and the MIC legislation always sails through. Want to deny them? You will be primaried out of office. No problem.

But all these big shot American arms makers might need ten years to make a hypersonic missile like the ones Russia and Iran already have.

These military behemoths work for profits. Huge profits. Their allegiance is to the Almighty dollar.

In Russia, when Putin says, “We need a million more 155 artillery shells. They get produced quickly. Same for state of the art planes, tanks, drones. Why? Not for profit! They work in these Russian technology sectors for love of country!

From what I have seen over my 70 years on this planet is that these military conglomerates in the U.S., who eat up vast proportions of yearly budgets, do it for the MONEY, not out of any patriotic duty.

And good luck trying to change this business model!

Oh, almost forgot! 10% for “The Big Guy”!

        • Heartlander October 27, 2023 at 2:52 pm #

Hezbollah has had sleeper cells in the U.S. for at least the last 10 years, maybe more like 20. I remember back around 2010 or so (can’t remember exactly), I used to read a site called Small Wars Journal. They did some in-depth articles about the Hezbollah communities down in the Tri-Border Area (TBA) around the junction of Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina. It’s a lawless no-man’s-land, extremely remote, and Hezbollah basically runs the region. Iran had been exporting emigrés down there for decades, and the communities there are long-standing and well-entrenched.

Many of the young people there, second- and even third-generation, have grown up speaking Spanish, have been given Spanish surnames, and come up to Mexico, whence they cross the U.S. border. They look and sound, to the average gringo, like just another Hispanic.

But they are Hezbollah ideologues, and they have cells here in dozens of major cities, often using local mosques or “Islamic centers” for cover. They are NOT lone wolves, and patiently await orders from Tehran. They have the long view. But when Tehran finally gives the order…..

Great post. And anyone trying to audit or quality check this work will be ignored or have a plane fly in to their office at the Pentagram.

You forgot the biggest military contractor of all…LM.

Like it or not WAR is big business and America is all about big business.
We are heading from a recession into a depression with a weak incompetent dementia ridden figurehead they have to do something to save brand Biden.
They also have to reset the petro dollar and stave off the Brics from creating their own global currency.

        • benr October 28, 2023 at 10:18 am #

Another one bought into the propaganda of the HYPEr-sonic missile.
The physics don’t line up very well with those speeds and payloads unless the payload IS the missile via a GodRod Tungsten projectile.
People forget that what Russia and ESPECIALLY Iran does is talk shit.
As far as the US not having a Hypersonic missile.
Yeah, we got em but again not much use.
In fact, LM has a bunch all over their website.
It took my all of thirty seconds to find an entire web page dedicated to their funding and the fact they have been researching and building them for sixty years.

          As does Boeing…

          AND defense against.

I am ALWAY amused at anyone that thinks Russia or Iran is ahead of the US in anything tech related and when they stupidly brag about it the US puts resources on it and pulls ahead over and over.
The US has sopped up the best and brightest for the last hundred years never mind the roiling masses are all besot with smart phone stupidity and poisoned with IQ lowering chemicals in the toxic tap water.

I like JHK because he (usually) takes facts right in front of us that have been painted out of the picture, puts them back in, and helps me to connect the dots. He says what MSM will not.

        Suburban sprawl. Peak oil. Wokeness.

But that doesn’t make our host perfect. While he may be offended by some of the commenters today, this is what happens when you give people the floor, and when you use your reputation to push a narrative that many find wrong.

This is by far, his worst column ever. I find his candor and honest condescension toward the Palestinians as refreshing as it is wrong.

        Lets take some choice nuggets:

“Islam wants to rumble”. No. I’m sure many of you, including our host, are familiar with the Warsaw Ghetto uprising of 1943. The Jews had enough, and knew they were dead men (and women) walking, so they rebelled. I think Hamas did the same—ON THEIR OWN. It’s really NOT in Shiite Iran’s interest, or Saudi interest, or anyone’s interest to have the Palestinian Untermensch start problems.

“Western Civ treated the Jews abominably in the 1930s and 40s”. No, Germany did. And since the survivors had lived in central and eastern Europe, perhaps it would have been appropriate to give the Jewish victims and Jewish state in Germany, in Silesia perhaps, where some six MILLION Germans were forced to leave anyway, to give it to Poland.

“…many of these poor pawns are apt to be lost. Tragic is tragic…” So they are pawns? Not human beings. Palestinian untermensch. Maybe they can relocate to upstate New York, as part of the final Mideast solution? After all, JHK and I both have the luxury of living some where where some one ELSE’s ancestors cleared the natives hundreds of years ago, so we have room for Palestinians.

JHK is angry at the crimes of Hamas. Justifiably so. Just like Netenyahu professes to be. But people who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones. The Stern Gang and Irgun were terrorist groups. They used the same tactic to clear the Palestinians out in 1947/48. But they were Jewish. And there was no internet or smart phones or TV to cover it then. Also, unlike the Israelis who have a formidable military and police (with our US tax dollars, thank you America!), the Palestinians didn’t have an organized military.

Anyway, in his anger, our host seems to either overlook some things or choose not to share them. Read on:

“This is our 9/11, our Pearl Harbor”, say the Likudniks. I’m sure many of you here would agree that we now know Pearl Harbor was not really a “surprise”. The highest levels of US government knew an attack was coming. The US had embargoed and pushed Japan into a pre-emptive strike. FDR deliberately chose not to take precautions because such an attack would facilitate US entry into WW2 to fight GERMANY, which was FDR’s main interest. It was worth 2500 American lives to “save the world from Germany”, as polls before PH showed 75% of Americans opposed getting into the European war.

Well, the Israelis have ramped up killings of Palestinians in the West Bank, and they have been defiling the Arabs’ Al-Aqsa Mosque. And we have the perpetual Gaza strangulation.

As senior Israeli official Dov Weisglas stated in 2005, Israeli policy was designed “to put the Palestinians on a diet, but not to make them die of hunger.” How nice. But you see how these things might engender hostility, which can be channeled into radicalization and action.

So, this “Pearl Harbor” moment will allow Netenyahu and his “Greater Israel” group to “eliminate Hamas”, which is code for exterminate the Palestinians. So Netenyahu knew it was coming, and deemed a couple of hundred dead Israelis a small price to pay for the chance to liquidate the Palestinians.

Unfortunately for HIS political future, if the Israeli government is telling the truth, they have 1400 dead, and that may be too much poltically for Bibi—but another Likudnik can continue the process, thank goodness!

JHK talks about the hostages. Let me assure you all, the current Israeli government is not interested in saving hostages—it is focused on eliminating Palestinians by killing them via bombs, starvation, or disease, removing them, or ideally, having them leave. It will not consider a bombing stop for hostages.

I would have thought, as a savvy investigative reporter, JHK would connect the dots on this for us.

America blamed the “Japs”. Israel can blame Hamas. And JHK can blame Hamas too.

Well, at least he doesn’t come out and explicitly justify the bombing of Gaza, which is industrial scale slaughter.

We will see if this is pulled down

        • Socrates-Detroit October 27, 2023 at 1:14 pm #

I do agree that there are people chomping at the bit to for a wider war.

And unfortunately, a two-state solution is difficult on this “small slab of land”. Made more difficult by unilateral Israeli actions over the past 40 years.

Ironically, with today’s technology, it might have worked.

Another thing people need to be aware of: Not only does Israel possess nuclear weapons, but their targets are not limited to those “bad” Islamic countries.

No, first it was Russian cities. Now it is also US and European cities. Or the oil fields.

“The Samson Option” by Seymour Hersh explains the REAL objectives of the Israeli nuclear program.

In short, “if it looks like we are going to lose, never again, this time we will take the whole world down with us”.

I hope that doesn’t discomfit too many people here.

        • pyrrhus October 27, 2023 at 3:08 pm #

In an attempt to inject a little balance here, the British invented the concentration camp in the South African Boer war, penning up the Boer women and children under horrible conditions, and killing more than 20,000 of them in a successful attempt to coerce the enemy, who were fighting for their homeland, to surrender…A massive war crime which was simply memory holed by the West…

          • Socrates-Detroit October 27, 2023 at 4:07 pm #

There are lots of atrocities that have been committed since the dawn of time.

I don’t trivialize the suffering of the Boers.

History is written by the victors. A lot is covered up, or overlooked.

            The Khmer Rouge in Cambodia.

The Anglo-American firebomings of Germany; the US firebombings on Japan, and the use of nuclear weapons on civilian cities.

Israel, to this day has not recognized the genocide of the Armenians by the Turks, for example. Of course, neither have the Turks.

I’m starting to see now that, while the victims can’t come back, it’s looking more and more every day that their oppressors’ descendants are going to be held accountable.

        • Anthea October 27, 2023 at 5:47 pm #

I agree with your assessment. Jews may have been treated abominably, but it wasn’t by Western Civilization. Moreover, many, many other ethnic/racial/religious groups have been treated abominably by somebody or other. At least 3.9 million Ukranians were exterminated during the Holodomor. Armenian Christians have been exterminated. Ukranians are currently being exterminated–and it’s not at the hands of Putin. In Rwanda, the Hutu were treated rather badly by the Tutsi. Then of course there was the civil war that broke up the former Yugoslavia. As far as that goes, Israel has treated the Palestinians abominably.

None of these scenarios obliges anyone to set up the presumed victims in their own little homeland and then proceed to prop them up for the rest of geological time, to the tune of billions of dollars a year. With Israel, we’re not yet up to “geological time,” but I think it comes to over 75 years.

Victimhood doesn’t entitle you to a damn thing.

But what I think is most to the point is that it is not in the interests of the US to get involved. It is against our interests.

I understand that JHK will naturally be inclined to root for his team–though, when it comes to the right and wrong of the thing, there’s not a dime’s worth of difference between the disputants. But I do think that one should not take ones advocacy for either side to the point where you’re advocating for the US to act against its own interests–whether by that you mean pouring money down a rathole or exposing our people to injury or death on behalf of either side.

Re ” Jews may have been treated abominably, but it wasn’t by Western Civilization.”

It needs to be repeated and repeated until people start to “get” it: In historic Palestine Jews, Christians, and Moslems got along fine. 30% of Pals are Christians.
It was the European Zionists who were colonizers, who lusted after having the whole place to themselves and themselves alone—no Muslims, no Christians.
            And they still do.

Arab “nations” were totally screwed after WW1, by agreements such as Sykes-Picot, that literally drew arbitrary lines in the desert (sometimes literally in the sand) to create new states that didn’t have organic reasons for being the shape they ended up being.

If curious about how this actually went down, you could read Desert Queen: The Extraordinary Life of Gertrude Bell. She was one of the very few Westerners who lived in the ME, spoke Arabic, and understood anything about it, and she ended up actually drawing a lot of the lines on maps. The book is very well written, with plenty of photographs.

As for the “wars” that ensured between the Jewish terrorists and the Palestinians prior to 1948, the British tried to disarm everyone, but Meyer Lansky and other Jewish mobsters smuggled arms to the Zionists—while the Arabs were disarmed. Teddy Kollek, later the mayor of Jerusalem, ran the illegal smuggling operation. Obviouly, the Palestinians didn’t have the support of a well-funded international paramilitary operation based in the USA.

This gangsterism has continued in many forms for 75 years. It became state gansterism, state terrorism.

But for some weird reason most Westerners expect Palestinian males to sit in Gaza twiddling their thumbs while their parents, wives, and children are beaten up on every day, often by American Jews who are aggressive and gun-happy illegal and militarized settlers (they are not genuine civilians); their homes are bulldozed and their lands stolen; their women are forced to give birth in the mud by the side of the road because Israel refuses access to a hospital if they need it.
Their boys are executed if they throw a rock an a Jewish soldier. Palestinians are not woke.
It is the Westerners who are loco.

Speaking of the Irgun, Stern, and Levi gangs, all of them terrorists, their leaders became the political leaders of the self-declared-by-terrorists State of Israel. There is no reason whatsoever that Hamas leaders shouldn’t also be Palestinian political leaders. I don’t know why no one challenges Netanyahu on this. His

Speaking of hostages, Israel currently holds thousands of hostages and has for years, bringing no charges against them. At least 700 of them are Palestinian children. At leastt, they WERE children when they were taken as hostages.

Speaking of the 1930s and 1940s, events in those years were NOT the birth or cause of the Zionist project. Officially its birth was 1917, but British Zionists led by Lord Rothschild had been agitating for and supporting Jewish power in Palestine since the mid-19th C. But most Jews didn’t want to go there. The Zionists were quite happy to cooperate with Hitler (Haavara Agreement) because the Third Reich’s desire to rid Germany of Jews was a stick to get them to go to Palestine.

          Let’s just be honest.
To those who think Oct. 7 justifies every response of the Israelis, I suggest they listen to Norman Finkelstein’s discussion with Chris Hedges. When you imprison and treat people (and their wives and children) like animals you don’t get to call “rules” on them when they finally break out. And, as some have noted, the Hamas fighters actually stuck much closer to the Geneva Conventions than did the IDF.

BTW, Benjamin Netanyahu’s father was born Benzion Mileikowsky, in Warsaw. He was a Revisionist Zionist, a follower of Jabotinsky.

“In 1940, Netanyahu went to New York to serve for a few months as assistant to the secretary of Jabotinsky, who was seeking to build American support for his militant New Zionists. Jabotinsky died the same year, and Netanyahu became executive director of the New Zionist Organization of America, the political rival of the more moderate Zionist Organization of America. He held the post until 1948.[11][12]

As executive director, Netanyahu was one of the Revisionist movement’s leaders in the United States during World War II. At the same time, he pursued his PhD at Dropsie College for Hebrew and Cognate Learning in Philadelphia (now the Center for Advanced Judaic Studies at the University of Pennsylvania), writing his dissertation on Isaac Abarbanel (1437–1508), a Jewish scholar and statesman who opposed the banishment of Jews from Spain.

Netanyahu believed in Greater Israel. When the United Nations Partition Plan for Palestine was published (November 29, 1947), he joined others who signed a petition against the plan. The petition was published in The New York Times.[13] During that time, he was active in engaging with Congress members in Washington, D.C.
. . . In his younger days, he had been strongly in favour of the idea of Arab transfer out of Palestine.[15]

In 2009, he told Maariv: “The tendency to conflict is the essence of the Arab. He is an enemy by essence. His personality won’t allow him to compromise. It doesn’t matter what kind of resistance he will meet, what price he will pay. His existence is one of perpetual war.”[16][17] ”

          A classic case of projection.

The “Netanyahu” family were Revisionist militants who wanted all of Palestine for the Jews and the Jews alone.

Israel defines itself as a racist state.

The Arabs – “sand n**gers” – inconveniently stood in the way of the ME oil theft, so the insertion of a few favorably inclined Jews, who European powers wisely chose to be “undesirable,” was deemed to be a necessary evil. Unfortunately, the Jews, being Jews, soon decided to take matters in their own hands. That little Zionist tail now wags bigger dogs everywhere.

Many people’s thinking is permeated by state perspectives. One manifestation of this is the unstated identification of states or governments with the people in a country which is embodied in the words ‘we’ or ‘us’. ‘We must negotiate sound disarmament treaties.’ ‘We must renounce first use of nuclear weapons.’ Those who make such statements implicitly identify with the state or government in question. It is important to avoid this identification, and to carefully distinguish states from people…” ~ Brian Martin, ‘Uprooting War’

There are many people, including Jews, who disagree with States and/or the State of Israel, to put it mildly, as well as the Zion ideology…

One thing people might wish to consider in any case, is that Earth doesn’t really seem all that amenable for different sorts of humans to attempt to artificially subdivide into all kinds of wacky slices like a quiche cut by someone drunk at a party.

Any way you slice it, it just seems like the wrong kind of thinking and approach, leading to all sorts of problems such that we’re seeing again in something approaching human society’s perpetual-storm version of Jupiter’s Great Red Spot.

‘Here, have this fine slice. It’s getting all nice and round and if it gets especially bigger and stronger, it might even blow everything else over. You might lose your original slice in the process, but so might everyone else. So your misery will at least have some company.’

Sure, people can have territories, meaning the areas in which they hang out and roam, but this is different from enclosure which Israel and most or all other States seem to operate on and that appears in fundamental odds with a few things, including how Earth operates for most animals except humans.

What with continental drift and plate tectonics and so forth, everything’s going to be wiped off the map anyway.

The process of enclosure has sometimes been accompanied by force, resistance, and bloodshed, and remains among the most controversial areas of agricultural and economic history in England. Marxist and neo-Marxist historians argue that rich landowners used their control of state processes to appropriate public land for their private benefit. This created a landless working class that provided the labour required in the new industries developing in the north of England…” ~ Wikipedia

The Arabs screwed up and left of their own volition during the 1948 war. Abbas even said the same saying the Arabs rejection of the 1948 provisions was a mistake which he wanted to correct.

The Zionists who believe that the Israel homeland is a gift from God, were enabled by the Arab edition of the Diaspora.

The moral and ethical issues of Israel taking over land owned by the arabs is not functionally different from the Europeans taking the land of the so called ‘native americans’ (aka ‘indians’). Oh yes, I forgot, we bought some of that land for sea shells and other worthless trinkets.

And then there’s the mexican territories now know as Texas, Arizona, Oklahoma, and Cali.

History, to a large extent, consists of stories of lands being usurped and taken by ‘others.’ The strong takes the weaks’ land and the weak want sympathy and guilt from the strong. Wheel of history, on and on.

That may have been the human motivation. But the spiritual motivation was that it was a fulfillment of the prophecy God made to Israel that after two thousand years of diaspora among the nations (us), He was going to bring them back, and He did that in 1948. That’s what the holocaust was all about, was trying to prevent that prophecy from coming true. But you strike me as someone who doesn’t believe in God, anyway, so I know you won’t believe this.

        • Cankerpuss October 27, 2023 at 1:40 pm #

Tuco, God mad that promise to the House of Israel, the descendants of Abraham, not to the Jews. The House of Israel consisted of 13 tribes originated from the sons of Jacob whose name was changed to Israel. We know that 10 of those tribes were taken captive by the Assyrians and dispersed. Historical accounts indicate that these 10 tribes migrated north and eventually became the “Scythians” and ultimately migrated into Europe, Britain and Scandinavia. These tribes ultimately became what today is known as “the west” including USA, Britain, Europe, Australia, South Africa. It is documented that these nations have enjoyed far greater prosperity than other nations of the world. Perhaps this is the fulfillment of God’s promises to Abraham regarding his posterity.

So where does that leave the Jews? After the 10 tribes were dispersed by the Assyrians that left the tribes of Judah, Benjamin and Levi in Judah for nearly 120 years after Israel’s conquering. Christ himself was not of the tribe of Judah but was in fact of the tribe of Benjamin. These tribes were ultimately conquered by the Babylonians and held in captivity for hundreds of years before returning to the land of Judah which was now occupied by other races and peoples. The tribes of Judah, Benjamin and Levi have literally be dispersed among the nations of the world so as to the point that they don’t even exist anymore.

So who are the Jews? Direct descendants of Judah?

I don’t think so. I don’t know if the prophecy you describe in your comment actually means what you think it means. Christ was not a Jew. He was of the tribe of Benjamin and Jews do not claim to be descendants of Benjamin but of Judah.

          • beantownbill. October 27, 2023 at 4:01 pm #

Being Jewish, I was taught by Jewish authorities there were 12 tribes, not 13. If I’m wrong, please name the 13 tribes so I can revise the list. Jews may have been named after the Tribe of Judah by the Romans or some other country, but as a group all 12 tribes were part of the same‘Chosen People’, descendants of Abraham, and to whom God supposedly made a pact.

I know they disobeyed Him and pissed Him off, but I would say He hasn’t exactly protected them for the past 2,500+ years, and as far as I know, I never took part in any actions at that time that would have pissed him off about me. So why have I been punished?

Anyway, what we now call Jews are descendants of one people who were divided into 12 tribes. Being a member of the Tribe of Benjamin qualifies anyone to be what we would now call a Jew, no matter the definition.

Trying to differentiate who in the 12 tribes are ‘Jewish’ is a gross inaccuracy. Jesus was a Jew according to whatever the Romans called the tribes at that time. Trying to change that fact is for ignorant or anti-semitic gentiles – and I don’t mean ignorant in a bad way, but ignorant in the sense of not knowing. We modern day Jews just think of ourselves as Jews, period. It’s like white Americans calling any native American a Crow, rather than a native American of the Crow tribe. You don’t call a person of the Jewish Benjamin tribe a Benjamin.

          • Phineas October 27, 2023 at 8:19 pm #

Hebrews 7:14 “For it is evident that our Lord (Jesus) was descended from Judah , a tribe with reference to which Moses spoke nothing concerning priests.

Revelation 5:5 “and one of the elders said to me, “Stop weeping; behold the Lion that is from the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome so as to open the book and its seven seals.”

Two clear scriptures identifying Jesus Christ as the Lion of the tribe of Judah.

        • Anthea October 27, 2023 at 6:16 pm #

          @ tuco22:

Orthodox Jews would disagree with you on that. They believe that the State of Israel is illegitimate, and that the Biblical messianic Israel–and its restoration–is supernatural in nature, not political or militaristic. I have to side with them on that.

The promised restored Israel and “New Jerusalem” is not temporal in nature, and refers to the Kingdom of God, rather to earthly kingdoms–which, scripture makes rather plain, are kingdoms (or principalities, or whatever) bestowed by satanic powers.

Plus, I doubt that the holocaust had anything to do with trying to prevent the formation of the State of Israel.

          • GreenAlba October 28, 2023 at 11:18 am #

That’s my understanding too, Anthea. I was listening to an Orthodox Jew the other day who said quite specifically that the Bible tells Jews they are not to have a state of their own or a king. That refers to the Israelites of the Bible, though, not the Jews who currently live in Israel. And of course it means that all those people making ‘end times’ predictions that supposedly include observing what happens to ‘Israel’ (referring to the modern state) as some kind of end-times barometer, are barking up the wrong tree entirely. I heard all of this decades ago, so it’s hardly a new idea.

I recently bought a copy of Koestler’s The Thirteenth Tribe, which deals with the history of the Khazars, presumed by many scholars – including (principally?) respected Israeli scholars – to be the ancestors of the Ashkenazi Jews, who make up (genetically) some 97% of Israeli Jews. They were (according to a number of historians) not part of the diaspora, but converts to Judaism, through a pragmatic choice of their leaders not to fall in with either the Christian power block to the west of them or Islam to the east. They made an effective buffer state between the two.

I have only started the book, but I chose to start with the last chapter, which is a kind of epilogue looking at the implications of the Khazar hypothesis for modern Israel.

Koestler was Jewish, of course, but also an atheist. He does not use the Khazari hypothesis to say anything at all about the right of modern Israel to exist, while accepting that many will use it to argue against Israel’s existence. While he refers to the ‘cruellest illusion’ visited by history on the (European) Jewish people (i.e. the illusion that they are descended from Abraham, which would only be the case with Semitic Jews) he takes the pragmatic view that the state of Israel is a full-fledged state, a polity with a military, and that is that – he does not see its current right to exist as having anything to do with the DNA of its citizens.

Christians also take the Holy Land to be their spiritual home. One might imagine an alternative history where there were, say, 20 million Christians in the world, mostly in Europe, and they were persecuted. They too might have found themselves in a created homeland in the Holy Land, without being descended from anyone in particular.

All of which leaves us with the same intractable issues as before with regard to modern Israel and the people it displaced and, to my mind, the exact same imperative to achieve a cease-fire before even more innocent civilians on both sides die in the bloodbath – and before the situation escalates in the way that the psychopaths would like to see it escalate. It would seem that the psychopaths had a lot to do with deliberately letting it happen in the first place.

The nation of Israel talked about in the Bible is made up of people, not a patch of dirt in the desert. The little hat people are no longer chosen, they messed that up. They can be a member of Gods chosen, they just have to accept Jesus as their savior. All you need is the faith of a mustard seed…

Not a criticism of that concept Alfred, but it also seems impossible for some to acknowledge that their were Jews in the desert before there were any Muslims anywhere.

I find a great many who believe Islam is the historic religion of that area or something, and the same people often believe that slavery was invented by whites in America against African blacks.

      • 100th Avatar October 27, 2023 at 10:41 am #

Because morons keep conflating Islam with Arabs and any semitic person from the Levant.

Persians are not Arabs, but many of them are Muslim.
There are also Persian/Iranian Jewish and Christian peoples, perhaps of miixed enthnicities.

There are also non-Arab muslims and Christians and jewish people in Lebannon.

The Palestinian people are of mixed historical ethnicities, what matter is today’s religion in the region, except for the convenience of painting with a broad extinguishing brush?

        • Uncle Abraham October 27, 2023 at 10:48 am #

You missed Beryl’s point. Islam is the driving force of conflict, laying claim to the land of Israel through the putative authority of the Koran. The Muslims have no intention of ever living under Jewish rule, even though they live better in Israel than most do in Islamic enemy countries like Egypt, Syria, and Iraq.

There are at least twenty different ethnos that have inhabited the Levantine, it has had a target painted on it for thousands of years.

Why? Why is Israel such a target?

Not a matter of right and wrong. In whose eyes? Could it be it is a crossroads for the peoples of Europe and Asia through the millennia, with trade caravans passing through from all directions? Could it be that all the PTB through the centuries realized that taking Israel is key to controlling the ME trade routes. Could it be that today’s situation is critical because of oil and its influence on ME trade?

Could it be that the divide and conquer techniques the Liberal element of the US government, Israel against Islam and even Shia versus Sunni, use to control population is about to blow up in their faces? In the end, the USA will not get directly involved here. When the going gets tough, the US’s history since WW@ has been to exit stage left.

Israel being the target goes way back to Adam and Eve and the serpent, where God told satan, “I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed.”

Yes, there are two “seeds” of people on the earth. Israel is the seed of the woman, who “gave birth” to Jesus, the Messiah, the promised redeemer of Genesis. That’s why it’s been war on women ever since.

Some 20 or 30 years ago, a group of Ethiopians applied for and were granted entry into Israel. Thoroughly examined, they were reluctantly judged to indeed be Jews, descended from a group of traders who went to Africa in Biblical times, ended up settling down and marrying local girls. They met all the criteria. Their geneologies went back a long way, and they were taught the customs and rites by their founding fathers, passed them down for over 2000 years. and they kept kosher. Even the Israelis are mixed.

          • Jarek October 28, 2023 at 1:03 pm #

Their IQs have been tested. They’re no smarter than other Blacks. The Ashkenazi are trying to teach them. Their Judaism doesn’t fit in very well since they lost contact before the Talmud was written.

        • Cankerpuss October 27, 2023 at 1:06 pm #

And people keep conflating Jews with historical Israelites assuming they are the direct blood descendants of the tribe of Judah. They are not.

Here are a few excerpts from the Times of Israel article:

“It is well known that, sometime in the eighth to ninth centuries, the Khazars, a warlike Turkic people, converted to Judaism and ruled over a vast domain in what became southern Russia and Ukraine. What happened to them after the Russians destroyed that empire around the eleventh century has been a mystery. Many have speculated that the Khazars became the ancestors of Ashkenazi Jews.”

“… In 2012, Israeli researcher Eran Elhaik published a study claiming to prove that Khazar ancestry is the single largest element in the Ashkenazi gene pool. Sand declared himself vindicated, and progressive organs such as Haaretz and The Forward trumpeted the results.”

“Israel seems finally to have thrown in the towel. A blue-ribbon team of scholars from leading research institutions and museums has just issued a secret report to the government, acknowledging that European Jews are in fact Khazars.”

      • beantownbill. October 27, 2023 at 12:46 pm #

      • Cankerpuss October 27, 2023 at 1:01 pm #

Beryl, you are wrong on the supposition that there were Jews in the desert before there were any Muslims anywhere. The term “Jew” was used by the the Romans to denote an individual from the province of Judea and was primarily used for geographic identification, not racial identification. They weren’t racially referred to as a “Jew” until the late 1700s and 1800s. If you are referring to the people that were wandering the desert under Moses’s guidance for 40 years, well, those were NOT Jews either. They were Israelites consisting of 13 tribes, including Ephraim and Manessah after Ruben lost the birthright to Joseph.

Jews are supposedly the remnants of the Tribe of Judah but I don’t buy it. Most Jews have DNA that ties them to the Khazar areas of Ukraine and so forth. The tribe of Judah no longer exists and has been dispersed out of existence.

Jews may inhabit the nation of Israel but they are not of the same blood as the ancient Israelites and lost 10 tribes.

    • Uncle Abraham October 27, 2023 at 10:36 am #

Not even evicted in many cases. They chose to leave when urged by the surrounding Arab nations attacking Israel to do so, with the promise of loot and land to inherit after Israel was destroyed. In other words, they had no intention of living peacefully with Israel – they were and are adversaries.

Meanwhile, the Arab nations going to war with Israel pushed out 800,000 Jews and confiscated their property without any provocation or problems with that population. But you don’t hear about that and don’t want to hear about it. Consider why you are so profoundly prejudiced in this matter – all of you ignorant Israel haters.

If you lived inside a Palestinian body, you would see this world differently, Uncle.

I’ve heard your pro-Israel talking points my entire 68 years. But the logic is flawed – flailing attempts to make a theft moral with diversionary issues and distractions, ( I could list a dozen).

Zionists are keenly aware of their moral hypocrisy. That’s why logic, reason, and higher level Jewish ethics fly out the window on this topic. “Might Makes Right” becomes the final solution to ethical issues. Yet force and violence haven’t worked so well, either.

According to Western Civilization true justice would apply the same rules to all, no privileges, no favoritism under the law for any people, even “chosen ones”

      • Jarek October 27, 2023 at 12:21 pm #

That’s why Christian Jews can’t really have their own church like other ethnic groups do in Orthodoxy. It would just become Judaism again. Their “ethnic sense” or identity is stronger than most other peoples in most of them.

Similarly, Arab women have to be veiled. For some reason Arab men have a stronger sexuality than most other peoples. They need this.

    • Alfred October 27, 2023 at 10:50 am #

      Thank you.

Unjustly evicted I would add, perhaps you disagree and would share why you disagree.

From my perspective the unjustly evicted have rights. Those rights include a redress of grievances. From my understanding of history, their attempts to redress those grievances were ignored or vetoed by the USA via the UN.

How long can a people with real humanitarian needs, and a recent history of being marginalized and simply wronged tolerate it? These modern times require some effort at finding a solution don’t they?

Here again, finding a solution was actually another means of maintaining the status quo of, essentially apartheid. One man, one vote, one state. But that can’t happen because Israel is a Jewish state. There’s a religious requirement.

Israel is using faith based facts to justify their behavior to themselves and their apologists, and they’re using real world facts to cry out the wrongs done to them, while they genocide the Palestinians.

Freedom’s just another word for nothing left to lose.

      • JohnAZ October 27, 2023 at 11:18 am #

Where does this one sided viewpoint come from?

Why are the Israelis always the bad guys? Why do people forget about wars launched against Israel by all the Arabs not just Hamas or Hezbollah? 1948, the three day war, 1973, Israel was attacked and responded in kind. Like the War against terrorism by the US, Israel fights the small battles to offset Arab belligerence. Of course they will fight back against incursions by Hamas in the south and Hezbollah in the north.

They are making the same mistake as the USA has made over and over, quitting before the war is won. Over and over.

        • hmuller October 27, 2023 at 11:54 am #

And just how, JohnAz, do the Israelis “win” the war? How many Gazans must be killed to make it a victory for the good guys? Aside from any moral issues, the strategy appears flawed to me.

There were 300,000 Arabs living in Gaza in 1967 when Israel conquered the 421 sq mile area. Now there are 2.3 million Can even the Israelis kill those people faster than they breed? Apparently not. So is the answer genocide at levels more effective than Hitler used?

          • JohnAZ October 27, 2023 at 12:13 pm #

            What strategy?

The only thing that will stop the Israeli problem is when one side eliminates the other or converts them.

Ah ha, converts them? Will all Hamas be killed to stop things or will survivors become Israelis?

            Time will tell.

          • King of Comedy October 27, 2023 at 12:16 pm #

War up until recently would answer: as many as it takes. When war comes to the good old USA, civil or otherwise, do you think any side is going to give a shit about civilian casualties? I also doubt these fine feelings are the default in the ME where the “strong man” is the typical government template.

There probably won’t be a decisive battle in the armpit of the planet unless the nukes come out but a limited response to the Hamas vermin is really not an option. I’m not a Jew or an Israeli but my guess is for them, that would be the equivalent of docilely marching into the gas chambers.

          • Jarek October 27, 2023 at 12:25 pm #

Good point, muller. The Kosovo Muslims smirked and said to the Kosovo Serbs, We will outbreed you – and so they did.

Israelis mostly live a Western style life now with low birthrates. Any one state solution dooms them to become a minority in short order.

The Palis must be given back the West Bank. The Israeli settlers must be driven out – not by Muslims, but by the Israeli government.

Most of the American colonies – nee early states were theocracies. They had established religions and tax dollars supported the churches and paid the clergy. There is not now and never has been any legal “separation of church and state” in this country. The stupid phrase comes from one of Jefferson’s private letters and is nowhere enshrined in the Constitution.

          • Jarek October 27, 2023 at 12:34 pm #

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

It’s right there, buddy. No national religions.

I said nothing about a national religion. The bill of rights is primarily a recitation of what the national government cannot do to the states, not a declaration of rights. The colonies and early states were individual theocracies.

Time to state clearly the fly in the ointment: Israel wants all of the land, wants the Palestinians gone (dead, absent…just gone) and will never allow them an existence devoid of constant harassment. This is ethnic cleansing a la Stepan Bandara. What a proud moment. PS:” The world has already forgotten the butchery of October 7.” Yeah! And also 1982’s massacre at Sabra & Shattila, overseen by fat (& future Israeli PM) Ariel Sharon. Or “Operation Cast Lead”, one of several military turkey shoots into a densely packed slum… each an opportunity for the Israelis to gather on hillsides over Gaza & cheer every explosion below (which were, of course, ripping apart people’s bodies…entertainment!) ….anyone else think an immediate ceasing of the violence by all parties might be a good start?

the native folks of the usa—they 90 to 95 million in north America when the first Europeans came–by 1900 down to 2 to 5 million, 95 percent killed by disease, starvation–they lost, the other guys won–in the coming nuke war the same story, kinda,we all lose this time

          • King of Comedy October 27, 2023 at 11:46 am #

There were no more 95 million people in North America than there are 95 million dollars in your bank account.

At the time of Columbus’s arrival, North America was literally still in the Stone Age, roughly 4-5 millennia behind Europe, Asia and North Africa in terms of technological development.

Stone Age populations were extremely low by default (that lack of technology thing is a bitch) and if you factor in that the Plains tribes were almost all hunter-gatherers which can support even smaller populations, even 20 million is a stretch. I’ve seen estimates as low as 1 million.

To put things in perspective, the Mongol invasions in the 13th century are estimated to have resulted in the deaths of 10% of the population of the planet or 40 million people so a global population of 400 million. By 1500, that number might have been 500 million tops so you’re saying 20% of the earth’s population was living in Stone Age North America.

I would recommend getting your facts from somewhere other than the “Decolonialist Quarterly”.

          • Cankerpuss October 27, 2023 at 1:25 pm #

There will not be a nuke war. All sides are too afraid to use the nukes knowing once the launch theirs the other side will launch theirs. Been hearing threats of nuke wars for decades. Ironically, on the USA is the only country to ever use nukes.

I just don’t buy into the nuke threats. I don’t see it happening. Even Hamas doesn’t want to have all of Gaza turned to glass.

A stone age people who hadn’t come up with the theory of the Wheel in the 20,000 years they’d lived in the Americas. The first wheeled vehicles, simple carts, were introduced by the Spanish in what is now Venezuela in 1525.

As far as Plains Indians go, there were no Plains Indians. The Plains were uninhabited. What we knew as the Lakota People in the Dakotas & Montana were woodlands Indians that lived around the Great Lakes but were pushed out by. French fur trappers & raiders in the 17th & early 18th century. The southern plains indians, the Comanche, were originally Shoshone run out of the Central Rockies.

Absolutely, 8500 sq. mi. on the eastern edge of the Mediterranean, about twice the size of LA County. A little sliver of land — an outpost of European Civilization — which seems to be a thorn in the side of Islam who seem to think they own the whole Middle East, NAfrica, W Asia, & SAsia, not only hostile to a Jewish Homeland in Israel but Christians in their midst inside Persia, Pakistan (Churches are routinely blown up in Pakistan), Afghanistan & Lebanon, which not too many decades ago was half Christian.

Its looks like Israelis are in an existential struggle for their home country. The Jewish people have faced worse than this before — but at least this time around they have the means to defend themselves.

It’s only savagery when they fight back, but the savagery visited upon them to make way for the European Jews is ignored.

You can’t justify this by saying, “same as it ever was.”

We can all adopt the “might makes right mindset,” or the “whatever I can take and hold is mine” mindset. But if you do that, you can’t cry “foul” when the battle pitches to the other side.

You have to decide if you’re going with faith based facts, “Jews vs. Muslims” or modern real world facts, “Arabs vs. Israelis.”

    • JohnAZ October 27, 2023 at 10:13 am #

No, because there is no such thing possible.

Say Israel stops invading Gaza and agrees to a cease fire. Then Hamas just turns on the missile import business and continues digging tunnels. More commando action under the wall. More and more.

There is no right or wrong anymore in the ME. Be a good answer.

No po’ widdle me. One side or the other is going to kick ass eventually, and maybe now. The United States just staying out of it might be a good answer. Getting Iran to stay out of it might be a good answer.

The world has been predicting the demise of Israel since its creation in 1948. We’ll see.

      • Anthea October 27, 2023 at 9:35 pm #

        @ JohnAZ:

To tell you the truth, I find this whole discussion about which side is “in the right” in this matter, both tedious and irrelevant.

The only point of any importance, the only point worthy of discussion, is whether the US should be involved in any way–which it should NOT.

It doesn’t matter if various countries were mean to the Jews in varying degrees. Plenty of other races/religions/ethnicities have suffered the same fate. We feel no moral compulsion to restore Paris to the Huguenots and make sure, through military force, that they get to live there and call it their homeland forever and ever–due to the great injustice they suffered at the time of the St. Bartholomew’s Day Massacre.

It doesn’t matter if God said Israel was promised to the descendants of Abraham. As Cankerpuss has pointed out, modern Israelis–mostly Ashkenazi Jews–are not even descended from Abraham, but are a Turkic people from Khazaria, a former polity located in Ukraine and parts of southern Russia.

It doesn’t matter if the Palestinians were mean to the Israelis or if the Arabs were mean to the Israelis (or vice-versa), or if the land “legally” belongs to either the Israelis or the Palestinians. None of this shit has ever mattered in any territorial war–ever. Nor, IMHO, is it even possible to sort out the good guys from the bad guys in any war. War is about killing people, invariably including civilians, women, and children, and both sides are doing that. The side that kills the largest number of their enemies will probably win. Thus, it doesn’t make a lot of sense to claim that the side that kills the largest number of their enemies are the bad guys.

Seems to me that the only issue under discussion should be US involvement, and the only argument that should be advanced in any such instance is whether there is some advantage to the in US becoming involved. And, if one argues that there is such an advantage, they should be able to provide a cost/benefit analysis proving that the benefits are greater than the costs.

I see absolutely no benefit to the US in becoming involved. I see absolutely no benefit to the US in providing billions of dollars a year to support Israel–which support has been forthcoming since the State of Israel was established. I think the cost to the US of supporting Israel is up to $260 billion at this point. This is comparable to the US becoming involved in Ukraine and spending billions to support that country.

        • beantownbill. October 27, 2023 at 11:37 pm #

Nobody knows the complete genetic structure of all the Jews in the world. It is possible that some genetic material could be of turkic origin, but what percentage? 8.43 %? 56.19%? Was there turkic dna 4,000 years ago? We don’t know. What is Chinese dna derived from and what are their characteristics?oWhat are the characteristics of turkic dna, say, compared to Norwegian dna? What was Abraham’s dna? Why do people have to try to dig inside people’s cells to try to define them? A Jew is a Jew. Leave it at that. All this reminds me of trying to determine Black IQ from their dna – a favorite topic of Jarek and other neo-nazis.

As far as donations to Israel: It seems like you got that $260 billion aid from some source. Could you tell me where you got that figure from, I’d like to know? Israel has been around for 75 years, so is that $260 billion in 1948, 1949 or other years’ dollars? I suppose I could look up our donation in 2023 dollars to the Marshall Plan. It must be in billions. Why aren’t we complaining about that, or why aren‘t we complaining about aid to any other country? Could it be that we are at least somewhat a generous country?

When Haiti needed disaster money, why did we donate money to them (forget about whether the Clintons stole it)? Why should we bother giving aid to any other country? Oh, Haitians were really suffering. Of course, Israel hasn’t suffered at all since 1948.

Anthea, I think you mean well for us Americans, but you’re not thinking logically, especially conflating Israel with Ukraine.

“Remember the good ole’ days when we lived in a country where no one had the answer to this baffling question: How could something like the Holocaust happen?”

Remember when a drivers license was a type – written piece of cardboard with maybe a picture stapled on , or pasted on.

Or when a typical store credit agreement was a verbal agreement and a handshake , not 30 pages of legalese which even college graduates , who presumably have good reading comprehension skills , don’t bother to read , because in point of fact it is pointless to read it anyway.

What does any of that have to do with the holocaust ?

Maybe not uncommonly we don’t just jump from big bad things to big bad things ,

but instead a lot of little bad things amass into big bad things?

Like , I suppose Jarek will call me naive , but I have my doubts your typical Jew really had much to do with the woes assailing Germany 1880 – 1930.

Maybe those woes had a lot more to do , for example , with a thousand and one little petty tyrannies instituted to ameliorate or prevent some little bad thing that in fact in no way ameliorated or prevented the little bad thing.

And eventually all these little cures , which aren’t cures , adding up to a real illness ?

There was a little band of Nazis that somewhere along the way got screwed by the Jewish controlled banking system in Germany. They formed the SS and eventually “The ultimate Solution”

It was all in Mein Kampf if anyone would have read it at the time.

Power corrupts the mind. The people of the USA have forgotten that message of WW2 as we follow these feckless “leaders” down the yellow brick road to our national doom.

      • D from OR October 27, 2023 at 11:52 am #

“The people of the USA have forgotten that message of WW2…”

The textbook story of WW2 doesn’t really jive too much anymore or even resonate.

Too many holes in the vaunted stories.

See when we taught our now 18-year old about WW2 we had to include things like the real story of Pearl Harbor and facts like IBM assisting the Germans to calculate their statistics including and concentration camp capacity.

We had to explain that Churchill was a drunk, the Reichstag fire was a likely a false flag and many Nazi’s were allowed to escape to South America as the war ended.

So our son correctly views WW2 as just another sh*tshow like all the other wars.

The idea that people sit in a school learn the propaganda and “approved” story is long GONE.

        It’s a good thing.

Those woes assailing Germany 1880-1930 were caused by stupid, incompetent, selfish politicians. Just like ours are today.

      • Socrates-Detroit October 27, 2023 at 1:30 pm #

Woes? From 1880-1914, Germany was the fastest growing nation in Europe. Without the benefit of colonies to milk for natural resources like Britain (especially) and France.

Germany and the US were rising and overshadowing Britain.

In the 1890s, Britain, still number one, and the US almost went to war over Britain’s actions in the New World (the US wanted Latin America to be AMERICAN-influence, not Brit). The Brits wisely concluded the cost-benefit was not worth it (and they had India, the better parts of Africa, and so on).

In 1914, the British in their sneaky way poured some lighter fluid on the situation. They felt a war would set back their German rivals who were overtaking them.

It did. But it also broke Britain. The grossly unfair, ridiculous peace helped foster German resentment and urge for vengeance, which Hitler tapped into, and led to WW2.

Germany was building a railroad to Iraq to get their oil.

Britain put a stop to that.

          • Islander October 27, 2023 at 9:10 pm #

You could put it that way.

Or you could say that Germany was transferring a lot of technology to the Ottoman Empire, to modernize it—its military, its administratoin, its infrastructure, its economy.

The Berlin–Baghdad Railroad was part of that.

Actually, it was an early Belt and Road Initiative by another name.

The British of course wished to maintain control of access to the east and India via the Suez Canal.

The historian Morris Jastrow is a great source on this whole topic.

He was also the author of “ZIONISM AND THE FUTURE OF PALESTINE:
The Fallacies and Dangers of Political Zionism,” published in 1919. Available online here:

“And who knows what those swarms of moiling migrants in the US and Euroland might be inspired to do… Jihad is in the offing.”

So the swarms of migrants are all Islamic? Practicing and faithful?

True believers in the cause – no possible way they can be distracted from their mission by the charms of the West.

How are these migrants organizing themselves? Do they have translators and are they fluent in the host countries language?

Are these migrants, many of them the lower classes in their home countries, even literate? Can they follow orders? Do they even want to?

How do these migrants fund and communicate between themselves? Are their safe houses?

Are they in cells? Free agents?

How does this movie go down?

Hundreds of Chinese men are entering the United States every week. They hike the grueling Darien Gap with exceeding strength – hardly seem to be tired. They travel in large groups. They have one or two who speak Spanish to deal with the natives. They all speak English. They keep clean clothes in a sealed bad inside their packs. When they get here, they go into the bathroom, wash up, change their clothes, and get on busses for somewhere. No waiting around for services. They have money and plans. Chinese aged fighting men – or Chinese fighting men?

In a less organized fashion, other groups have set up here. Obviously the Hispanic gangs are very well organized. The Mexican Mafia go to work in suits. The plan to take the Southwest is said to stretch to thirty volumes, with the Mexican government on board. Where have you been?

There are many Muslims here. You think no Jihadis are here? Make your case. I’m all ears. You’re ridiculous of course.

What’s with the support Hamas & radical Islam seems to have on the elite college campuses? Harvard, Columbia, NYU, Cornell … students are out in the streets chanting “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.” LGBTQ crowds are getting in on the act too, displaying signs that read ‘LBGQT Supports Hamas’. WTF?

I was watching video from London, tens of thousands of Arabs in the streets denouncing Israel. I know there are Posters from the UK here; I’d like to ask them, do any English people still live in London? I saw a single one, a kid getting arrested for waving a ‘provocative’ St. Andrew’ Cross banner. The London metro cops were running him in for causing trouble lol.

    • Beryl of Oyl October 27, 2023 at 10:30 am #

The college kids were told that was the “in” thing to think.

These kids are going to a school that costs a lot of money. People who paid that much to go to school naturally want to think that they got something that elevates their thinking above that of the masses.

Add to that many of these people got in free or at greatly reduced cost, for instance the young people of the Nepali Student Association.

They HAVE TO BELIEVE they were owed something, in order to make sense of why there even are enough students from Nepal to warrant an association.

So they naturally believe whatever else their stinkin’ commie professors tell them.

We just saw a few of them get very confused when they signed a statement of support for the organization that murdered some of their countrymen.

      • JohnAZ October 27, 2023 at 11:51 am #

Young people know nothing about life. They are not stupid, the correct word is ignorance.

Commie professors are a product of academia, an institution in America that constantly provides solutions for issues of which they know nothing. Instructor egos are enormous, what they preach is gospel, according to them.

I notice over and over that academia casts dispersion on the USA,

But never has a solution of what would take its place.

The perhaps really amusing part is do most Westerners even recognize anymore that the Saint Andrews Cross banner was originally a Christian banner , so the kid WAS doing a provocative thing ,

only it was the Brownies that would instantly recognize that , but the Westerners are oblivious to the meanings of their own symbols ?

Like , the news is some bad person in Maine killed some people , and some bad people in Palastine killed some people.

So , consequently , something must needs be done , which undoubtedly means some more bureaucratic hoops I’m going to have to jump through.

Ignoring the fact that I didn’t know any of these people , don’t even live in Maine or Palastine , indeed never even set foot in either place once ,

and , believe it or not , I’m not planning on killing anybody.

And , by the way , the news is pretty much the exact same news as yesterday .

With the exact same something must needs be done , the same bureacratic hoops dreamed up for me to jump through , which were supposed to change tommorows news , except clearly didn’t .

And the news the day before that ?

    The same.

    The day before that ?

    The same .

And so on back through 50 + years.

Bad people still kill people the exact same as they did 50 years ago.

The security measures consistently fail .

The ONLY factor that has changed is that I’m now buried under a mountain of bureacracy that didn’t even exist 50 years ago.

Excuse me , and another factor ; Generally 50 years ago paper – pushers were two or three workers out of a hundred , and security likewise were two or three out of a hundred.

Now both are at least 60% of the workforce.

And apparently even that is not enough.

Notice there isn’t a Wounded Warrior Project for peach – pickers , hash – slingers , or pencil – makers.

There is for security guards , who are already 60% of the workforce .

If it weren’t for big security, we’d have no economy at all. That was the lesson coming out of WWII, and they’ve been ramping it up ever since. In addition to being tremendously profitable, it turns out that the hoi polloi just love to turn on each other when they’re told that they’re all villains in turn. Who knew? Combine the two and you have a virtually bulletproof social control technique.

I can always hire one half of the working class to kill the other half.

No. But he created no two things the same. As Theresa of Avila admitted that being smart was important for spiritual aspirants.

Having an IQ 60 like the Abos is going to get in the way of a lot of things, right? Or do you not believe in IQ? Or you do, but not in IQ tests?

Not believing in race is the same as not believing in nations. It’s your version of John Lennon’s Satanic Anthem, Imagine. One recalls Mary’s take: Everyone should be able to go anywhere and do anything. That really sucked for the Palestinian, eh? Just as having Muslims in Europe really sucks for those people. You’ll get it, but only when it “starts happening around here”.

I denied neither the existence of race nor the validity of IQ tests. I merely ask if you had some kind of inside knowledge allowing you to believe that God would have a natural preference for white people, because you often talk as if it goes without saying.

I am not personally aware of any grounds for believing He has such a preference or that He would welcome the rest of the world dying so that your preferred race would be the only one left.

          “A problem without a solution isn’t a problem.”

That’s called a predicament, i e., no good or even reasonably acceptable solution exists.

Ignoring the predicament is indeed a strategy, though the situation invariably festers for the worse.

It’s like getting caught in a bear trap: either gnaw your foot off now and probably bleed to death or slowly succumb to starvation and the elements.

On the other hand if you do choose to wait it out, perhaps, maybe, “whoever” set the trap will happen along, set you free, and attend to your wounds. Or maybe not.

Since WWII the west lost the ability to understand violence. There is no targeted or precision strikes and winning of hearts and minds. There is only killing and destruction on whatever scale needed to make the other side surrender due to fear and exhaustion. Then spending years hunting and killing anyone with fight left in them. Sounds brutal but works every time tried.

Otherwise stay home with you sword in the closet.

That’s exactly it. The deep thinkers who believe “war is not the answer” are tools but you’re spot on: a war that is not geared toward the utter destruction of the enemy should not be fought. A complete waste of time. There’s no better example than the Imperial Japanese. Suicidal bonzai charges, kamikazes, garrisons that fought to the death… but the utter ass-kicking they took gave us the situation we see today: it’s hard to find a Japanese person who’s not polite, let alone fanatical.

Suicide Cliff is a cliff above Marpi Point Field near the northern tip of Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands, which achieved historic significance late in World War II. It is a location where numerous Japanese civilians and Imperial Japanese Army soldiers took their own lives by jumping to their deaths in July 1944 in order to avoid capture by the United States. Japanese propaganda had emphasized brutal American treatment of Japanese, citing the American mutilation of Japanese war dead and claiming U.S. soldiers were bloodthirsty and without morals. Many Japanese feared the “American devils raping and devouring Japanese women and children.”[2] The precise number of suicides there is not known. One eyewitness said he saw “hundreds of bodies” below the cliff,[3] while elsewhere, numbers in the thousands have been cited.[4][5] WIKI

My son was in Japan on August 6th and the 9th of this year. He was unaware of the significance… The Japanese must be very forgiving.

Go look at Latin Mass Catholics: They are taller and more beautiful than other people. Their children even more so. Not always – Socrates explained that he was very ugly because of some very bad karma – but in general you get the body you deserve.

Beautiful women are very burdened. They often burn up their good karma because they don’t have to grow as people. Their beauty does it all for them.

A real culture would take them in hand and try to prevent this tragedy. But of course America isn’t a real culture anymore.

uh, slavery was in africa long before YT [whitey] started buying slaves there.

        • King of Comedy October 27, 2023 at 11:35 pm #

“Helped out”? Africans ran the slave trade. At least 90% of the slaves in the Transatlantic trade were not captured but sold by the West African kingdoms. They had them waiting on the beaches in cages for the buyers.

And that’s not the half of it. The African slave trade begins in the 8th century with our friends, the Muslims. So the Africans were selling to the Muslims for eight centuries and then they doubled their business by selling to the Muslims and the Europeans for another 300 years until the British navy effectively ended the Transatlantic trade (an action vehemently protested by the West African kingdoms). The slave trade to the Muslims continued, really up to the present day.

So to say the Africans helped out with slavery is like saying Jeffrey Epstein helped out with pedophilia.

    The Toughest Nut To Crack?

The thing is Zaz, Anarchism has a track record we can examine. It goes back 150 years. Unfortunately it is violent & blood soaked; the cause of much suffering, with very little to show for your efforts except a lot of dead bodies & debris from various explosions.” ~ kunstler.com/clusterfuck-nation/halloween-parable/#comment-834519

“Although I admit that the outcome in a stateless society will be bad, because not only are people not angels, but many of them are irredeemably vicious in the extreme, I conjecture that the outcome in a society under a state will be worse, indeed much worse, because, first, the most vicious people in society will tend to gain control of the state (Hayek 1944, 134-52; Bailey 1988; Higgs 2004, 33-56) and, second, by virtue of this control over the state’s powerful engines of death and destruction, they will wreak vastly more harm than they ever could have caused outside the state (Higgs 2004, 101-05). It is unfortunate that some individuals commit crimes, but it is stunningly worse when such criminally inclined individuals wield state powers. ~ Robert Higgs, ‘If Men Were Angels: The Basic Analytics of the State versus Self-government’

As I’ve also said many times before, both on this site and elsewhere, is that, either way, I’ll get my anarchy (at least certainly much closer to it):

I’ll get it by the decline and/or collapse of the State and, after the dust settles, likely back to smaller scales and more anarchic setups or I’ll get it by a very serious and fast restructuring of the State that’s far closer to pure/direct democracy and therefore anarchic principles.” ~ The Man They Call Zazelle

    Norway Leader Pledges ‘More Democracy’

“Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg vowed today that his countrymen will fight back against the twin terror attacks that have rocked the nation with ‘more democracy’ and promised an independent commission to investigate the massacre and help survivors and relatives cope with the aftermath.

Police have come under close scrutiny over how they handled the bombing in Oslo’s government quarter and the shooting spree on an island youth camp that together left at least 76 people dead, in particular how long it took them to reach the island.

The commission is important ‘to be able to clear up all questions about the attack in order to learn from what happened’, including what worked well and what didn’t, and to offer a full report to survivors and victims, Stoltenberg told reporters.” ~ telegram.com/story/news/local/north/2011/07/27/norway-leader-pledges-more-democracy/49954212007/

All they care about is chomp chomp and gulp gulp. One question they fail to ask: Would the Middle East actually be a better place without an Israel? I bet this hasn’t occurred to any of them. Once it’s gone, they’ll be chomping and gulping each other, I assure you.” ~ JHK

They’ll cross that bridge, if it’s not ashtrayed, when they come to it.

Half-sarcasm aside, ya, it’s a pickle, maybe a paradox, but if we want as a species to live and thrive without successions of rinse-and-repeat declines/collapses and reach for the stars & planets ‘n’ stuff, we are going to have to transcend it, or?

Or I guess it’s back to ‘The Dunbar Number’ and relative small-scale anarchy for us and, if we survive, perhaps chronic successions of rinse-and-repeat until which time as we either evolve or go extinct.

Methodic elimination of 30,000 soldiers living under ground is not really feasible without starving the country, which is what Israel is doing. Technologically advanced or not, Israel’s military is putting out some primal energy. Further, in a contest between their innocent women and children and Gaza’s innocent women and children, Gaza’s innocent women and children are more likely to suffer than be protected. That is atavistic warfare.

In WW2, given that my mother’s family almost starved in Greece thanks to the German occupation, not to mention all the atrocities committed by the Germans in Greece, Yugoslavia, and elsewhere, it’s hard to feel bad for their plight.

The Greeks beat the Italians back into Albania from whence they came.

The Germans chose to attack Yugoslavia and Greece.

Yugoslavia had internal divisions. The Serbs fought the Germans. The Croats joined your German friends, who you seem enamored of at times.

There is no such thing as a nice war, period. The function of war, legalized killing, is the elimination of the other side and their belief system and the substitution of your own. Technology has made it possible to literally kill off the other side, which has been happening from the Civil War until WW2.

When war is declared, there is no nice way of fighting it, no feeling bad for the women and kids of the other side, there is only elimination of the other side.

For millennia, women stayed home with the kids when war was declared. They became the property of the winners.

Today, not so much. Women have desired equal rights, that does include the right to die in war, right?

Oh no. Not destroy the oil fields. If war ensues, Teheran along with the strength of the Mullahs will be destroyed by the USA. We will take over the country, maybe with another shah. Then we will take the oil fields.

When the USA gets pissed off enough, it forgets all about nice warfare.

Wasn’t the Iraq war started because Sadam Hussein was allegedly slant-drilling and stealing oil from his neighbors? Been so long I can’t remember exactly.

Then of course there was Colin Powell and the infamous mushroom cloud in twenty minutes. (Yellow Cake)

It sure would be nice to see the entire Blob gone, hanging from lampposts. Maybe the guillotine will become popular again.

    • Paula D October 27, 2023 at 1:04 pm #

No, it was Kuwait that was slant drilling and stealing Iraqi oil.

This was just after Iraq had fought a decade long war with Iran, at the bequest of the USA.
Saddam thought that the US owed him one.

He ran it by the US ambassador, April Glaspie, and she told him that the US “has no position” on the dispute, which he took as a go-ahead.

It actually was a go-ahead. It’s just that the US double-crossed him.

Actually, it is even more simple than that Iraq said Kuwait was slant drilling into their oil fields and stealing oil.
Sadam declared his intent to stop this to the US and our response was zip.
No response is the same as a yes in most cases until we decided Sadam was an embarrassment with his two crazy sons and a perfect opportunity to depose him.

Bombing Gaza is a massive PR fail.

They absolutely should have gone after the perps they way they went after Eichmann or the Olympic murderers. People would have cheered them on.

I can’t understand why they would blow the worldwide sympathy they had on Oct. 7th. Do they think they control the Mighty Wurlitzer they way the US does?

The US invaded Afghanistan, which had no connection to 9-11, and got away with it, because they control the media narrative.
There were no demos against the US as it massacred the citizens of Fallujah after four mercenaries were killed there.
Raqqa was wiped out and the citizens buried under the rubble never found. The world didn’t blink an eye about that.

Only the US can get away with mass murder. Israel needs to stop the bombing now, and not invade Gaza, which would be a bloodbath for all involved.

There can be a two-state solution, imo. There is no way Israel will get away with mass expulsion of Palestinians. They don’t control the Mighty Wurlitzer, no matter what some people think. And most of the countries of the world have the two-state solution as part of their policy on Israel.
So it has to be done, or this will escalate.

            So many facts ignored.

Iran is engaged in proxy wars against the US, Israel and the Sunni world in general.
Thats not to say they have not been picked on and messed with, but they are not sitting back and just taking it.
They are fully engaged in proxy wars and producing weapons to attack those they see as enemies, and they do so across as many country lines as the US.

Manuel Noriega was not just some guy in Panama!
He was the de Facto dictator of Panama and had a substantial military.
            Ever been there Paula?
I am going to again say nope I doubt you have so much as crossed the Mexican border much less been to Panama.
I was there frequently over the course of 1993- 1996 so much so that I went off the beaten paths and saw and talked to many Panamanians that were less than pro- America.
They only thing they were less favorable towards was Manny.
The Panamanian military put up a fight and at the time you could still find bombed out burned bullet pock marked bases all over the region.
Manny was heavy into the cocaine trade and not the nicest man.
You seem to ignore the evils involved in many of the dust up America becomes involved in and ONLY FOCUS on Americans pitfalls.

I just have to comment on all this shit. Humans are disgusting, mostly. Personally I’m sick of all the back and forth commenting about what no one really knows. I would leave this blog forever, except I’m addicted to it, so I’ll stay here – maybe.

I love the way some commenters speak as if they were privy to hidden information, when in fact they are using ‘logic’ originating from their own diseased minds.

I would equate most comments as equal to those who claim alien lizards are on Earth controlling everything. I’m just waiting for a nutcase du jour to start cutting up people to find the lizards living inside. I know some here will now joke about this comment, but I’m dead serious, humor is unwanted.

I don’t know what is ‘right’ wrt the ME, but I do know that isn’t the real issue. Humans are extincting (I made up this word) themselves but no one here seems willing to discuss this in depth. I see some CFNers mentioning it, but imo that ought to be the major topic, not whether some Jews or some Muslims did this or that. I’m Jewish, I wholeheartedly support Israel, but that isn’t ultimately important. Humans have been extant for hundreds of thousands of years, and those we call Jews for only 4,000 years.

If God created the human species after working so hard for 6 days that he needed to rest afterwards, I’d think He would be interested in conserving the human race. Maybe we should be talking about human survival, not flinging poo at each other like the primates who’re our cousins.

One last thing. There seems to be some clear-headed posters here who have an accurate sense of what’s important. I’m especially calling out (in a good way) Marlin, JAZ, Paula and some others. I’ve done this before and someone else says, “What about so and so”? There are others but I’m too beat to mention them. These 3 stick in my mind for whatever reason.

See ya – from a sick and tired CFNer.

And thank you Jim. I always appreciate your postings. I get the feeing you’re about as frustrated as I am.

    • Rowdypiglet October 27, 2023 at 2:22 pm #

@BeantownBill, I too have no idea what is right as far as the ME is concerned. I’ve found that I’m overly influenced, temporarily, by whatever article I just read, and I always keep that in mind. Invariably the many narratives cancel each other out. There is truth in there somewhere, but I’m not equipped to discover it.

I always return to a lesson I learned as an adolescent, when I read a book about the Lindbergh kidnapping, a crime that may have never been solved. It laid out a plausible case for its particular theory and was replete with charts, letters, time tables, testimonies. It absolutely convinced me, until I discovered that there were many other books written on this same subject. I read all of them, obsessively, and they were all equally carefully thought out, with every sort of evidence to back up the theories – yet, clearly, all except for one were wrong and I had no means of knowing which one. The realization that an apparently air tight case is easily undone by another apparently air tight case made me permanently suspicious.

So I ask myself if there’s anything in this situation that I can know for sure, and there is. I know for a certainty that Muslims, imported anywhere else, are destructive to the hosts who welcomed them. Therefore they’re not refugees seeking escape from war, but potential combatants hoping to disrupt formerly peaceful countries. They have internal schisms as well, and their own Muslim neighbors don’t want more of them. I don’t see Jews rioting in the streets anywhere where they have a presence.

That said, it’s bigger and worse than it appears. People don’t seem to realize that this could finish us off, and maybe we deserve it. We’re arguing about the details, which won’t matter in the long run if wiser heads don’t prevail. There are actually plenty of those, but almost all the positions of power appear to be occupied by sociopaths.

      • beantownbill. October 27, 2023 at 2:54 pm #

        @ Rowdy,

Yes, you are correct about everything in this post. I always appreciate good, honest postings and yours is one.

We are living in truly very dangerous times. This second, my thought is we are 50-50 that an extinction level event or at least a civilizational-ending event will occur. I can’t begin to tell you how much I want the right 50% happens.

My most fervent wish is not only that we survive this mess, but continue to thrive.

I’ve said this before, but for anyone who cares, I highly recommend reading Theodore Sturgeon’s great short story ‘Thunder and Roses’. This is why the rightness or wrongness of the current event is not important.

        • benr October 29, 2023 at 10:01 am #

Thanks to Antifa, BLM and the Democrat party protesting is now conflated with rioting.

Protesting means peaceful non-destructive displays of getting a message out including walkouts from work and picketing.

What are the rules of picketing?
Picketing is confined to public areas surrounding the employer’s premises, at the designated picketing areas. As a general rule, there should be no picketing on private property or in the streets. The picket sign should never go near a gate reserved for other contractors.

Rioting is anything but that including just getting in peoples way so they can’t go about their daily business. See definition of picketing rules!
Rioting is the extremist usually Communist/Anarchist/Socialist way of doing things.
We now get a heaping helping of looting for reparations and faux suffering.

The fucking Communist scum are subverting everything in America to a crass level of anger and violence.

I feel bad for the Jews in Israel, they only have two choices, start treating the Palestinians as human and begin the process of integrating them into their society ( which many Jews in this country have worked diligently here in the U.S. to force on the rest of us), or say fuck it and genocide the Palestinians ala our choice with our native Americans. The last thing we need is WW3, which is where all of this is heading. There is not one politician in this country that has a clue of what to do, yet they all act like they’re King Solomon. Before Yahweh, Moloch fed off that fiefdom, the “slab of land.”

“And he defiled Topheth, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, that no man might make his son or his daughter to pass through the fire to Molech.”

It looks that JWVH was invoked to protect the weak against this entity. In return, he demanded monotheism and obeisance. One of the many Semite tribes of the area sealed a pact and was declared “chosen.” All those tribes were weak and had to tithe babies and children annually for horrendous murder and depravity festivals. So YWVH, our own God of the last 4,000 years or so, broke into our awareness and into existence (direct correlation) as a god of the weak.

I have no idea whether part, all, or none of the approved dogmas of the monotheistic trifecta (Jewish, Christian, Muslim) are true.

Easter island’s original peoples were all related, and arrived together in ocean faring craft to this isolated spot in the middle of the Pacific. Nonetheless, they waged constant war of clan against clan, erected colossal stone idols, ate the few animals available to extinction and in turn went extinct themselves. Because they were human.

That’s likely the fate of the slab of land, on a grander scale.

The solution, of course, would be for these two warring tribes to shake hands and share the land. But we’re human, so it won’t happen.

The Jews were weak and pacific for most of their existence as a national and religious bloc. A few years around King David and so on, but for the most part they were an industrious and peaceful people, more interested in the arts, commerce, the professions, and manufacturing. The craftier and greedier ones went into finance and the power it affords, which is true for every group. Those stale accusations of “Joos running the world” are laughable when you consider that for every evil banker there’s 3 dentists, 8 rabbis, a librarian, 12 mom and pop store owners, and so on. In short, blokes like the rest of us, with their quirks and peculiar customs.

So their close encounter with Moloch once again in 1940’s Europe, and YHVH, god of the weak, unable or unwilling to protect them probably inclined them to stop being weak, and they’ve been at it ever since, which is not a long time when you consider the time scale of their story. That said, they don’t really rejoice, Israelis, in the horrors of war. It’s a price to be paid. The other side seems to celebrate barbarism a tad more.

These are all musings and generalizations, but talk about touching the third rail: before the end of the weekend, Mr K’s forum will be greatly depopulated, at this rate. Seems that most find it hard to discuss the topic without foaming at the mouth and a diarrhea of insults and tantrums.

Mice in the proverbial experiment, fed the same amount, at first thrive, then they propagate too much, go hungry, and start killing each other. Without religion or politics! Only cheap grain, or in fact free in many cases, imported or donated, has kept those millions alive. Now, at the beginning of the era of resource depletion, that arrangement has come into question. So there’s that side, too.

Another side is that Bibi N is a truly bad apple, a hate monger and psychopath of massive ego. I was there in 1996 as a farm worker, when he surprised everyone by beating Peres by a hair. He’s been in and out of power ever since, and let’s leave it at, he hasn’t been a force for good.

    My 2¢.

As for nukes, there’s a good chance. But not Armageddon yet. Normalizing a tactical here, a vaporized city there, in the race for dominance and resources in the decades ahead. Add that tool to the toolbox, like the blood thirsty generals and neocons like to say. Good times for the MIC, that’s for sure. I see fat bonuses and political contributions raining down like mannah from heaven.

Are any of the Kibbutzim still secular and socialist idealist? Many of the early ones were. They said – and I believe them – that they wanted to create something special with the Palestinians. But the sheer number of Jews coming in doomed all such idealism. As Hegel said, quantity becomes quality.

And some of the Palestinians welcomed the vast amount of capital pouring in. They thought it would improve their lives. No doubt they stopped seeing it that way. The few that continued to would have learned to keep quiet about it. Sell their land and move to Cairo or Beirut – away from their doomed and suffering people.

Actually, a friend and former intelligence officer relayed to me what the guy in charge of our nuclear policy told him, that countries like Russia see tactical nukes as a legitimate defense in certain circumstances ( such as a NATO excursion into Russia) but U.S. policy is one sided. A single nuke used will trigger a full scale barrage of missiles, first wave targeting military targets, the second wave following seconds later targeting civilian population centers. The idea being the first to strike wins. Don’t tell me we ain’t on the eve of destruction.

Some spoke of the “tribe of 13” earlier in the comments. Generally speaking, this is the “seed war” which has existed since Abraham. Spiritual warfare is the battle being waged and God’s prophecies are being fulfilled. Read Zechariah 9 and 10, but especially 5-8 “Gaza will writhe in agony’ and Ashkelon (city in Israel) will be deserted.”

Alexander Mercouris, watching the propaganda roll out, as well as the US mobilization, thinks that this is the US going to war against Iran, using the (convenient) massacre of the Israeli peaceniks, on Oct. 7th, as an excuse.

That would explain a lot about the “failure” of US and Israeli intelligence, and the apparent standdown of the IDF, allowing the terrorists to go back over the border, carrying hostages.
Say what? That they came over the border is suspicious enough, but to wantonly kill for hours, and then somehow make it back over, with hostages to boot?

    Someone wants a war.

Is the US really sending 4 battleship carriers to the ME to fight Hamas???

I think not. This is a grab for Iranian oil. The grab for Russian oil isn’t working out so well for our ruling overlords, so they’re trying something else.

They think that Russia is too tied up in Ukraine to help Iran.

But China isn’t. They have been sitting on their butts for years, letting Russians die to fight terrorists and Nazis, but faced with the loss of Iranian oil, they might actually step up and do something.

    We’ll see.
Or we won’t see anything but that big flash of light, as Crazy Nuke Country goes for broke.

Ben Shapiro, Here’s THE TRUTH About the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict (A Comprehensive History) – YouTube, gives depth understanding of the region’s history, contradicting the attempt by Israel’s Islamic neighbors to obscure “deep history” by condensing it to rhyme with the Left’s “Woke victimhood” ploy.

Whether or not you accept in full Shapiro’s sketch, its truth — in the broad — is that Israel does represent societal advances reaped by Western civ that by contrast has left its neighbors in Dark Age theocratic despotism.

Dark Age mentality but critically armed with the advanced technology (nuclear weapons, by-the-way) product of Western cv. So please, if the archaic mind-set of the mullahs compels necessary defensive action by the Israelis the blame should fall upon the mullahs for consequence to “innocents”.

      1. Surrogacy is allowed in Israel, which is against Natural Law.
      2. Israel offered up its entire population to corrupt, evil Pfizer as human lab rats.
      3. Many of the original sabras were promiscuous, secular socialists.

While I believe the Biblical argument that Jews are God’s Chosen People — and as a Christian, I know that my Savior is a Jew — any claims that the modern state of Israel is a holy, godly nation are, in my opinion, rather compromised.

      • Heartlander October 27, 2023 at 6:56 pm #

IVF and surrogacy are grotesque violations of God’s design. But there are those who will argue that it is a necessary tool for God’s people to propagate their genetic line. I have heard a similar argument from Christians as well as Jews. I just vehemently disagree. Too much trust in man’s devices, too little trust in God’s providence.

I will note that abortion is legal in Israel. Why not let those babies live and place them for adoption? Instead, people are obsessed with having a child who has their own genes. I understand, that’s a natural instinct. But IVF and surrogacy are NOT natural, and are offenses against the natural order. Harvesting sperm from a dead man…. I don’t even have words for how ghoulish that is.

“So please, if the archaic mind-set of the mullahs compels necessary defensive action by the Israelis the blame should fall upon the mullahs”

      Yes, absolutely

The collective West is morally bankrupt. The MSM wants “proportionality” & quibbles with “moral equivalency”. These are terms reserved for weak societies. The same societies which have given up with no borders, and who are committing generalized suicide.

“proportion”. So, how many Gazan women ought to be raped? How many murdered with garden tools to the neck? (ya, see that vid of the Thai citizen being murdered with a garden hoe?) How many Gazan children killed, exactly? How many Gazans shot in the head, exactly? How many hundreds of teenagers murdered at a party together, exactly?

“moral equivalency” the Muslim world has been attempting to destroy Israel since 1948. Israel has been in constant war since then. Israel captured Gaza and the west bank in 1967 during one of these wars.

It’s only thru blood & struggle that Israel survives. It has no real allies. The US runs its corrupt empire, and is duplicitous with M.E. affairs.

  38. PeteAtomic October 27, 2023 at 2:12 pm #

There will never be a “2 state solution”. This idea is and always has been a canard, a ploy by people like Arafat of the old PLO, and continues by Hamas and Fatah, and their “Palestinian Authority”. It’s a fiction. On one hand the idea is a great money maker for the Islamist, neo fascists of Hamas leadership, and on the hand the idea serves as an imaginary motivator for armed action against Israel.
There has been an idea of a Greater Israel for some time which incorporated both Gaza and the West Bank of the Jordan River. That may become a reality at the end of this operation.

It seems like we never learn. Murdering civilians or pretending “there are no civilians” so we can murder them and feel self-righteous is a never ending misery. I’m not a Buddhist but I do agree with some of their teachings. He said 3 things destroy our lives— greed, ignorance of what makes for happiness and a thirst for revenge. And the thirst for revenge is unquenchable. Our first reaction as human beings when we’re hurt is to lash out and “make them pay'” and the score is never settled on either side.

“… if this tragic business in the Middle East gets out of hand millions of people might die…”

If that happens, the Dark State can check off another item on their ‘To Do’ list. That one item has been bugging the hell out of them since at least 1914. They’ve had champaign on ice since that year patiently waiting to be cracked open and enjoyed while inhaling the stench of massive World-wide death and destruction. You just never know what gets someone off. One person’s pain is another person’s immense pleasure.

Strange birds, these human beings. No wonder the Aliens (from the Sky) mostly stay away from contact with us.

“… looks like Islam wants to rumble.”

And God’s ‘Other Sides’ have wanted to rumble for a long time. Looks like we’ll finally get that Last Great War where Islam and Christianity destroy each other and the Dark State finally gets to install their total rule and dominion over the Earth. And wont that be fun for the tiny few of the slave race that remains to be the Dark One’s loyal servants.

“A society in collapse learns painfully that the first thing to go is luxury…”

The Western Woke State is going to have a MAJOR problem when we are thrown back into the 12th Century. ‘What do you MEAN no Starbucks!? What the Eff is THAT? Where the hell is my F’Book page? What? My phone is MELTED!? Momma!…’

“Israel is a full-fledged member of that lunatic asylum.”

Is their a regime ANYWHERE on Planet Earth that is not part of the Insane Club? Maybe those tribes in the empty central part of Australia.

“One question they fail to ask: Would the Middle East actually be a better place without an Israel?”

We know all the historical and religious reasons for putting Israel where it is. And where they put it just happens to be the very worst place on Planet Earth where they could have located it. The very worst. It’s almost like ‘They’ (the Dark Ones) wanted to create the biggest catastrophe that they could. Hey, wait a minute. I think we see a Plan here!

“There is the fate of the Gaza hostages to consider.”

Sure, the hostages are in a bad spot. But guess what? Planet Earth now has eight BILLION hostages to this geopolitical crap. What about the rest of us? Nothing about us on… ‘THIS – IS – C – N – N!’ (as recited by the Voice of God).

“… America has its own grave problem to consider, which is comprehensive collapse…”

We ALMOST had pretty good run. The wealth building of the Middle Class after the Second World War and the establishment of stable towns and cities and countless powerful industries that happened had the makings of really creating something long-lasting and maybe permanent here. But ‘They’ have been working since then to tear all that down to the bone and all of us with it.

Hey… might we see ANOTHER Plan at work here?

Or perhaps, being ruled by Loonies isn’t perhaps the greatest idea in the first place?

Could it be that Mafia gangs didn’t used to have PR departments , but now they do ?

Hmm , an interesting novel might be an alternate reality in two parts , where in one part the Capone outfit propaganda machine lays out its version of the 1920’s Chicago gang wars , and in the other half the North Side gang propaganda machine lays out its version.

George Giancana wrote a book about his brother, Sam, the Mafiosa boss of Chicago. Long story short.

Sam and Joseph Kennedy, the Irish boss made a deal. Support my son, Jack, and we will make peace and ensure that the Feds get off your back.
That went well until Bobby and Jack decided that the Mob needed to be handled. Sam reacted as a facilitator for the Deep State, also pissed off at JFK and RFK. The rest is history.

Mobs run everything now, one or another.

I don’t consider JHK a staunch political conservative. I suspect he would (and has in the past) consider himself more of an “old school” liberal. But, he sure doesn’t sound like an old school liberal now–he now says what conservatives have been saying since 2020, and before:

“Now that the House of Representatives has been put in order, it’s time for that body to act expeditiously and relieve “Joe Biden” of his responsibilities… and then Ms. Harris… and then Messrs. Garland, Mayorkas, and Wray. Out with them, post haste, and begin the project to save our own country.”

That sea change by JHK is likely because old school liberalism died years ago and has been replaced in the “Democrat” Party (in quotes, because their mantra is now fully anti-freedom and anti-representative democracy) by a toxic combination of fanatic Communist/Socialism mixed with Fascist/Socialism. It can’t be more clear when a sizable chunk of the Democrat electorate and numerous of its elected officials openly support the people determined to kill every Jew on Planet Earth, while many of the same Democrat electorate and its officials call for “re-education” camps for those who dare question the authority and motives of those same Democrat officials.

And, just like the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany, the Democrats first response to any criminal-committed murder is to demand full civilian disarmament of law-abiding citizens. Hitler and Stalin would be proud of the 2023 Democrat Party.

So, JHK is correct. Biden and the entire scum Administration must be removed from power–and the sooner, the better. The longer we wait, the more Americans will die from their policies–maybe by the millions if this Administration heads us straight into a World War with no cogent plan for us to be able to win. Maybe the Commander-In-Chief and his military Chiefs of Staff should be more worried about a cogent strategy for U.S. survival in a war than the emotional relationship between a soldier and his/her/its genitalia.

“Israel is clearly working in concert with the US/NATO in whatever is brewing.

And make no mistake, something big IS brewing.

It is something I have written about for several years now, but consistently believed the Pentagon was not stupid enough to actually attempt.

As I view it, there can be only one primary target that would warrant such a large projection of military power as is underway: Iran and its allies in Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon.”

I believe Russian recognition of this likely move by the Americans is why Russian President Vladimir Putin — in China, no less — publicly announced 24/7 patrols of Kinzhal-armed Russian aircraft within range of the eastern half of the Mediterranean and much of the Red and Arabian seas.

The #EmpireAtAllCosts cult must have convinced themselves the Russians are bluffing, or that their capabilities are much weaker than claimed.

I am convinced both ideas are mistaken.

If the US itself is not merely bluffing, then this whole thing could get out of hand really fast.

There is far too much of this “logic” in today’s day and age, imho. They assume something and then build an entire case based on that their assumption must be correct.

Personally, I believe that “[t]he #EmpireAtAllCosts cult” is a) a misnomer and b) they know very well that this war is going to be epic with substantial losses on both sides.

Many Americans and Europeans ARE moving, or have already moved, to Russia. I’m not one of them, but I do enjoy following them vicariously on Telegram.

I keep feeling like a Jew in 1933 Germany who can’t emigrate, for one reason or another, but is enviously watching other Jews get the hell out of Germany while they can, making their escape from the doom that is to come. I wish them well, with all my heart!

        • Heartlander October 27, 2023 at 5:46 pm #

And they’re not moving there because of gas prices, low taxes, etc., as nice as those material things are. What’s motivating most of them is wanting a decent place to raise their kids, safe from the demonic LGBTQ devilry.

        • Anthea October 28, 2023 at 1:26 am #

I think emigrating to Russia would be a good idea. I can’t help but think that things will get very ugly in the US–as in, as ugly as it was in the former Yugoslavia. But emigration is out of the question for me and what few other relatives might consider it. Family members are too numerous, and most of them have spouses who also have siblings and aging parents. It would be impossible to get everyone on board and even more impossible to leave anyone behind.

It is my opinion that the USSR letting in all those “weapons inspectors” in the 80s was the key to their downfall.

Remember the massive propaganda push against nuclear war in the early 80s?
I knew about “The Day After”, but it was GA and other Brits who brought up the UK version, “Threads”, or something like that.

I have no doubt that the rest of Europe had a similar propaganda push, especially Germany.

Massive demos were organized, and it convinced the Soviet leaders that the west was serious about disarmament. So they signed treaties, and opened up to “inspectors”, and key bureaucrats were exposed to inducements, enticements, and bribery.
            And then, Boom!

In 1991, the leaders of Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus secretly signed a dissolution of the Union, against the wishes of the population. .

The rest is history, a very painful history for the citizens of the former Soviet Union, especially Russia.

The poverty, misery, and death led to massive population drops in the former republics, corruption and looting, and loss of security.

It would be very stupid for the Russians to let too many Americans in now.
The US openly says that they are trying to overthrow the government of Russia and put in US stooges.
How can Russia trust that letting Americans in won’t lead to a repeat of the 80s and 90s?

Why don’t the Russians believe them?

          • Jarek October 28, 2023 at 1:56 pm #

Yes, such Americans would love to do to the White Russian People what the Communists did to them the last time around.

From “The Ashes Will Come First:”

As Alexis de Tocqueville presciently foresaw way back in the 1830s, American democracy would inevitably lead to a massive permanent state, impervious to the will of the people:

“The democratic tendency … leads men unceasingly to multiply the privileges of the state and to circumscribe the rights of private persons … often sacrificed without regret and almost always violated without remorse … men become less and less attached to private rights just when it is most necessary to retain and defend what little remains of them.”

“After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp, and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd.

“The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting: such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to be nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd.”

This is where we are, and there will be no turning back. To whatever extent it ever truly was, America will never be made great again. Something great may eventually rise from its ashes … but the ashes will come first.

      • Paula D October 28, 2023 at 12:24 pm #

        In the 1830s?

That sounds like a quote invented much later. The US government was not that powerful in the 1830s.

        • Rowdypiglet October 28, 2023 at 1:02 pm #

Paula, It’s from “Democracy in America,” published 1835 after de Tocqueville had spent a fair amount of time here. I first read the book at the age of 13, in two paperback volumes with shiny blue covers. I was entranced, and read it repeatedly until the covers fell off and the whole thing disintegrated. Prescient hardly begins to cover it, and it has become more so with every passing year.

          • Jarek October 28, 2023 at 1:30 pm #

I should try it but I’ll probably get bogged down. Men of that age had golden tongues but were very long winded by our standards. But he had many gems that can be admire in and of themselves: America is great because America is good. It will cease to be great when Americans cease to be good.

            Hard times create strong men.
            Strong men create good times.
Good times create soft men and hard women.
Soft men and hard women create bad times.

How to break this iron cycle? William James spoke of the Moral Equivalent of War – the MEOW principle. National Socialism would make all young people serve the state for a couple of years at the very least. Young men would then be STRONGLY encouraged to join the military.

Paula, Yes, it’s a real quote. Some of his other quotes can be found at the Foundation for Economic Education site, and you can read all three volumes of the book on the Internet Archieve.

Jarek, I’m glad someone has read William James. “The Varieties of Religious Experience” was in our home library and I tried to read it as a child of ten. I of course didn’t understand it, but I had a strong sense it contained something I needed to know and I returned to it at a more appropriate age. I considered that his experiences with the medium, Mrs. Piper, were incontrovertible proof of the existence of an immaterial world. For me, that was the end of materialism.

    When did everything went wayward?
?From the dawn of time when those light beings, the perfect human astral-travellers in the zodiacs and beyond, suddenly came to enter some fallen realms run by wanna be Gods, the Jehovians reptilians.

There those perfect angelic humans, androgynous Adams was split. Ever since, that split (Eve) has hungered for the reptilians.

Some spiritual residue still resting “under” the Adam’s apple has long since disappeared (due to circumcisions, etc.)

?Cut that apple, and you will find a 5-pointed star with poisoned seed in its core. ?

Still women (and men) proudly carry on with Zipporah’s tradition and “win” everywhere.

?Just read C G Jung’s Blood Red Book as to understand the impact of such gender mutilation combined with gold infection – his crown in the gutter, etc.
Dumb Snakes and crazy bird all over the place.
Of course anyone can understand what that “crown” is about, consists of – and Jung then knew he had lost everything.

?A penis transformed into a weird hook, a 666 thing. Okay, women obviously prefer such a scratching thing. ?

Jungs very first dream about a man-eater phallos – sure his mother knew that Jahve god-thing.
Moses, rigging all his tent-crap with gold and dead animals, did encounter the same thing.
Madre Mia! Then this monster Jesus came around. 40 days in the desert. Nothing but a snake could do that, a stone eating snake-scorpion.

Biden compares Hamas attack on Israel to “fifteen 9/11s” but makes no comparison for the 7,000+ Palestinians now killed by continued Israeli bombings of Gaza

The latest claim from the powers that be is that the Hamas attack on Israel is the equivalent of “fifteen 9/11s,” these being the exact words of fake president Joe Biden.

We have heard everything from it being the equivalent of “ten 9/11s” up to “thirty 9/11s,” depending on the source, but “the big guy” has apparently settled on a middle ground of fifteen 9/11s.

“Since this terrorist attack took place, we have seen it described as Israel’s 9/11, but for a nation the size of Israel it was like fifteen 9/11s,” Biden proclaimed in an address – watch below:

Earlier, Secretary of State Antony Blinken called the attack “the equivalent of ten 9/11s” while Gen. David Petraeus called it “far worse than 9/11” and the equivalent of “thirteen 9/11s.”

Then there is Pastor Gary Hamrick from Cornerstone Chapel (Calvary Chapel) in Leesburg, Va., who claimed that the Hamas attack on Israel is the equivalent of “thirty 9/11s.”

Now 9/11 is a measuring unit.

Q: “How many 9/11s does it take to kill all the light bulbs?”

    We are ran by children.

Since 9 / 11 I have taken another look at the old fable of the boy who cried wolf.

The usual assumption is that the moral of the story is that lieing is bad.

        Correct ,

but I’m convinced there is in fact TWO morals to the story.

The second moral is that incessantly yanking peoples chains breeds indifference , and rightly so.

” There is no free lunch ” applies just as well to morality as it does to anything else.

You have to pick your moral battles.

        You must prioritize.

A crisis every single fucking day does not work.

You see this perhaps most obviously with drug addict former loved ones ,

or with former loved ones who do nothing but bitch and complain .

” The shit never ends ” DOES END because you eventually write them the fuck off.

MAYBE you can come back when you have consistently good news to report , when you are consistently trouble – free , or maybe when you just consistently shut the fuck up.

The United States has become the former friend or former loved one you fucking avoid.

Every people have their myths and legends, Jews among them. The issue is that a politically powerful group of them believe it as fact. Given the vicious self entitlement in their myths, this is bad.
What is calamitous is that they demand that the rest of the world go along with their bullshit.

      • Anthea October 28, 2023 at 1:44 am #

        @ Bilejones:

“…a politically powerful group of them believe it as fact.” I’m not sure they believe that stuff–although, admittedly, people have a tendency to believe whatever they perceive it is in their interests to believe (and to convince other people to believe).

I guess when I say that I’m not sure Jews (or people in general, for that matter) actually believe what they say they believe, I guess what I’m trying to say is that most people’s beliefs are so shallow that they are little more than a pretense.

The US has now bombed Iranian troops in Syria.

The Iranians are in Syria by request of the Syrian government, to help them fight the Sunni jihadist terrorist groups, like ISIS, al Qaeda, (and Hamas) that the US sent into Syria to terrorize the Syrian people, in order to overthrow the Syrian government.

The US says bombing Syria is “self defense”, because the US troops illegally occupying Syria, and stealing their oil, have had drone attacks upon them.

Please note that not one of the people waxing hysterical about “Occupied Palestine” ever makes a peep about the US occupation of 30% of Syria, and the theft of their oil and wheat.

Too busy bitching about Israel to say a damn word about their own lawless, thieving, occupying, murdering country.

This is from The Times of Israel:

Surveillance soldiers warned of Hamas activity on Gaza border for months before Oct. 7

Survivors of massacre on IDF base say they passed information up the chain of command on digging, mapping, training near the fence long before mass onslaught, but were ignored.

The brutal Hamas massacre on October 7 was preceded by months of warning signs noted by IDF surveillance soldiers and disregarded as unimportant by intelligence officials, according to eyewitness accounts given in recent days.

Quite the article and discussion today.

Here’s the thing though – nobody in the general population (the vast majority of humanity) can do a gotdamn thing about it, besides prepare and observe. We are essentially powerless in this scenario.

I don’t like that, but I take some comfort in knowing that we are mostly blameless for whatever occurs, as that’s all we can really do. We have no real power outside of our little spheres. We’ve given it away, as most of the world did decades (centuries?) ago. Take care of your sphere, you might get lucky.

If a war is to erupt, those that wish it will make it so. Protests and intelligent commentary are scoffed at when the tables of reality are overturned, no matter the angle they may present.

Well, I suppose technically the lumpen can attempt to alter the course, but they can really only do things that would make things immediately worse, such as stooping to assassination, etc. We’ve seen this movie before, and it didn’t end well.

It may well take another round of generational horror to restore any kind of universal social contract; that is, if things really get out of hand. And we’re close.

I hope this is just another pissing match, as I like my “normal” life for me and mine, but there likely are too many alliances and international ties to allow that, unless some of our “leaders” want to admit to the world and history that they world just bluffing all along.

Big dick contest in the offing. Big swingers can’t seem to wait to put their hog on the block and see who takes a swing.

From a military strategy point of view, I see why Netanyahoo is doing this: we now live in an era of drones and missiles possessed by militias. You can no longer be a stable country surrounded by a hostile region, and it will get worse going forward. So they’ve decided to eliminate the hostile region. It won’t be just Gaza either.

As for the US, the Neocons just want to bomb and destroy Iranian oil infrastructure. Getting control of Russian and Iranian energy is how they retain hegemony by starving China of oil. I don’t think it’s doable without getting Tel Aviv and Tehran destroyed and maybe themselves killed, but they don’t care. They’re possessed by demons with war fever, as is Netanyahoo.

And check out Al Jazeera on YouTube. They’re doing the Muslim point of view on Gaza. They’re stirring up the whole region, including Turkey. There are 100s of million of Muslims in the region. Israel can’t hide what they’re doing.

The whole military scenario between the US/Israel and Iran/Hamas is like the Bronze Age kingdoms of 1200BC Levant, all destroyed by pirates with iron weapons. It was the Bronze Age Collapse. All the cities of the empires were burned to the ground and their people killed. Only Egypt survived. You needed a rich empire to outfit expensive Bronze Age armies. Any man could have an iron weapon, and they were better than bronze. Israel and US —> Bronze Age armies. Hamas and any group like them –> Iron Age pirates.

Meanwhile, in Donetsk, where atrocities against civilians are daily, this happened……

” In the Yasynuvatsky district, near the village of #Spartak, the AFUshniks attacked a civilian car with a kamikaze drone. On his way home, the civilian’s navigator started malfunctioning, which put him near the line of contact. The enemy targeted the car. The driver died on the spot, and his mother, who was in the car, miraculously survived. But not enough, even a few days later a corrective UAV was hovering over the scene of the tragedy to prevent Russian fighters from taking the man’s body.”

    Neighborhood Bully
    Bob Dylan
Well, the neighborhood bully, he’s just one man
His enemies say he’s on their land
They got him outnumbered about a million to one
He got no place to escape to, no place to run
    He’s the neighborhood bully
Neighborhood bully, he just lives to survive
He’s criticized and condemned for being alive
Not supposed to fight back, and have thick skin
He’s supposed to lay down and die when his door is kicked in
    He’s the neighborhood bully
Neighborhood bully been driven out of every land
He’s wandered the earth an exiled man
Seen his family scattered, people hounded and torn
He’s always on trial for just being born
    He’s the neighborhood bully
Well, he knocked out a lynch mob, he was criticized
Old women condemned him, said he should apologize
Then he destroyed a bomb factory, nobody was glad
The bombs were meant for him, he was supposed to feel bad
    He’s the neighborhood bully
Well, the chances are against it, and the odds are slim
That he’ll live by the rules that the world makes for him
‘There’s a noose at his neck and a gun at his back
And a license to kill him given out to every maniac
    He’s the neighborhood bully
Well, he got no allies to really speak of
What he gets he must pay for, he don’t get it out of love
He buys obsolete weapons and he won’t be denied
But no one sends flesh and blood to fight by his side
    He’s the neighborhood bully
Well, he’s surrounded by pacifists who all want peace
They pray for it nightly that the bloodshed must cease
Now, they wouldn’t hurt a fly. To hurt one they would weep
They lay and they wait for this bully to fall asleep
    He’s the neighborhood bully
Every empire that’s enslaved him is gone
Egypt and Rome, even the great Babylon
He’s made a garden of paradise in the desert sand
In bed with nobody, under no one’s command
    He’s the neighborhood bully
Now his holiest books have been trampled upon
No contract that he signed was worth that what it was written on
He took the crumbs of the world and he turned it into wealth
Took sickness and disease and he turned it into health
    He’s the neighborhood bully
What’s anybody indebted to him for?
“Nothing”, they say, “he just likes to cause war”
Pride and prejudice and superstition indeed
They wait for this bully like a dog waits for feed
    Neighborhood bully
What has he done to wear so many scars?
Does he change the course of rivers? Does he pollute the moon and stars?
Neighborhood bully, standing on the hill
Running out the clock, time standing still
    Neighborhood bully

According to the Bible, the tiny hat people were once God’s chosen people. They messed it up by rejecting, and murdering the Savior that God sent them. Because of this, and the Bible very plainly states this, the little hats are no longer God’s chosen. If a little hat wants to achieve salvation, they must believe on Jesus. They must confess their sins and repent. If a little hat, or anyone for that matter, takes this leap of faith, they become one of God’s chosen. Little hats, Pagans and Gentiles are all equally qualified to ask for and receive God’s infinite grace. Remember the story about the wedding ceremony?

Israel is a full-fledged member of that lunatic asylum.” ~ JHK

I wonder if identifying with a State, especially one that has a lot of psychopaths or thereabouts running it, and/or some kinds of bad histories, is like painting a giant target on one’s ‘innocent-civilian’ back in the event of war or terrorism.

“Hey don’t kill me! I have nothing to do with my country’s politics! I just live here!”

Like they did with Israel for the Jews, maybe they could set aside an American State or two for the aboriginal ‘American’ inhabitants as a kind of ‘reparation’ and, while they– whoever ‘they’ are– are at it, throw in a few more States for the so-called ‘blacks’, and so on.

There are those who suggest that that might be why we have yet to find signs of alien life (‘Fermi Paradox’)…

It could be a law of nature that we and no aliens have yet been able to transcend.

What about the Chinese? Where do they fit in in your little story?

      • Qwibqwib October 28, 2023 at 6:30 am #

The Chinese have been exposed to the good news…for centuries now. Did you know that the very first Chinese alphabet was based on the story of Noah and the great flood?

        creation (dot) com/images/pdfs/tj/j19_2/j19_2_96-108 (dot) pdf

“The Chinese descended from Noah’s son Ham. The majority ethnicity in China is called “Han”. ” According to Taoist stories, there were eight immortals that crossed the sea on a ship: two women and six men. The Hebrew Scriptures describe Noah’s family as having eight members, namely Noah, his wife and three sons, and three daughters-in-law. They were the only eight persons that survived the Flood. Interestingly, a story embedded in
the Chinese legendary period preceding the first Dynasty
(2205 BC) describes a person by the name ‘Nüwa’ who
turned back a catastrophic flood that covered the whole
world. Given the very close similarity between the two
accounts, we believe they represent the same event.”

“If we manage to avoid World War Three,”

I think the US is in the same situation that the Russian Empire was in 1905.

The hubris of the US military establishment is astonishing. Biden falsely believes that a 2 front war is “no problem” for the US military. He is a deranged old fool.

During the Russo-Japanese War of 1905, the Russian navy was completed destroyed when its 2nd Pacific Squadron (which contained many new battleships) met the Japanese Combined Fleet at the Battle of Tsushima. This sea battle and its aftermath shocked the world.

The US faces a similar fate. I think if the Chinese & US fight over Taiwan, there might be a result like the Battle of Tsushima, with the US losing its carriers.

There is nothing magical about US vehicles or equipment. The Bradleys are burning (along with all the German garbage) on the steppes of the Motherland. I wonder if this is why the US won’t supply Ukraine with Abrams tanks. The video of US tanks burning would be too much for the brittle egos of the Pentagon.

I’m thinking that neither Russia , nor China , nor Hamas terrorists , are any sort of real target.

The real target is a target audience.

And the target audience is American and NATO citizens.

The message being something like , ” Things are so fucked up because the world is full of these other bad guys , and because the world in general is fucked up. ”

No , things are fucked up in the United States or France NOT because of anything happening in Yemen , or Nepal , or on Enceladeus.

Or the sky is going to fall if Westerners lose Gaza , any more than the sky fell because Russia lost Port Arthur.

      Getting back to Ukraine ,

if Ukraine is really so important then why doesn’t the United States send in its own troops ?

I was convinced even before I read William Shryver or Andrei Martyanov that the United States is in no way prepared to fight a war of attrition with a first tier , or even a second tier , military power ,

and the United States know it.

Not only is there no arsenal of democracy ,

imagine the total shit show if they tried to bring back the draft.

” The US has now bombed Iranian troops in Syria. ”

      — Paula

I could be mistaken , but the way I remember it , the United States kills Iranians every few weeks or months , like it rounds up a few drug dealers every few months ,

and it means about the same thing.

Some newspaper copy to show the sympathetic idiots that they are doing something , when they really aren’t doing anything.

In the case of the drug war , while it may technically not be true that the United States runs the illegal drug trade ,

there is certainly no question but that it never ends , not even with victory , because they don’t want it to.

In the case of Iran , they can afford and tolerate a few casualties here and there because they know it is all bullshit bluff ,

and I’m guessing they figure that time and circumstances are on their side.

Yes, Iran refuses to respond to US provocations, much like Russia, and because of that we are all lucky, so far.

What aggravates me is the hypocrisy. That is why I bring it up.

The wailing, the garment rending, the squeals of outrage, the stomping of the feet, and the finger pointing at Israel, compared to the absolute silence about, and ignoring of, US lawlessness and atrocities, really gets my goat.

They have to respond now or else be branded as a paper tiger. Who can forget Islander’s “He’s not going to invade”. Putin had to act and he did. Now Iran faces the same choice: Do or Die.

This isn’t women’s business. Accordingly, they almost always get it wrong. Always raving for peace when it’s time for war. Real men know this and ignore them on such issues.

            advocating or just noticing, jar?

if advocating, i say to you like i would say to zios, “if you really believe, you first”

and we take it from there.

The problem, Charles, is a comprehensive collapse for which there simply is no solution.

Not sure what you’re referencing exactly, but..

When “keeping up with the joneses” civilizationally becomes a deep desire, as it is for much of the Middle East, you’re just fighting for a space out on that same limb with everyone else; then the limb cracks behind you too…

    Hmmmm? A question?

Is the world wide protests, and there is a lot of pretty big ones, not only demonstrations against Israel but maybe against the United States,

Disguised as pro-Palestinian movements, are these protests actually aimed at us?

We need Watter’s World Johnny over there to ask these kids who are they really pissed at.

Think the planners at BRICS++ are noticing the uprising.

I wonder what the “kids” plan B is?

If they were actually anti-US protests, they would be protesting the occupation of Syria, and the killing of Syrians, also, as well as the ongoing slaughter of Ukrainians.

They aren’t, though, are they. They are little robots, protesting what they are told to protest, and they are only told to protest Israel.

young people are often superficial wind up dolls – the need for answers always precedes the ability to see clearly enough to accept the reality of human nature without reserve. when i was young, no exception. you?

cynical oldsters like on this board board see clearly enough, but like oldsters everywhere, suffer analysis paralysis.

but yea, the robot masters… we might all some day realize they are the problem, and as one, make them obsolete.

bucky fuller said it well – the way change happens is when an innovation makes the rotting old hulk fall away. i think whats about to fall away is the age of the treaty of westphalia.

there should be min 10,000 polities.

    Well, ladies and germs;

Buffy St Marie…been listening to her for 50+ years. About as indigenous as you can get. Come to find out that she is not Cree, not even an Indian, not an orphan, and was not born in Canada, as she claims (At least a plus). No, she is of vaguely Spanish descent, born to ;obviously enraged and embarrassed parents in the good old USA.
