NEWA New Video Message From Your Blogger JHK

Death comes a-creeping at my door
Oh my Lord, oh my Lord what shall I do
?

The old plantation spiritual comes to mind as the first in a series of DOJ Inspector General’s reports is issued — this one outlining the turpitudes of former FBI Director Jim Comey — while even more fateful inquiries by Barr and Durham grind away in silence and mystery, and one senses that sometime soon the whole hot mess of RussiaGate will land on the doormat of Barack Obama.

Many other (by now) well-known names have been implicated in this fiasco but Mr. Obama has stood aloft from them on a fluffy cloud of his own, enjoying his multimillion book deal, plenty of international travel, and shopping for real estate on Martha’s Vineyard, the elephants’ graveyard of the One Percenters. And yet, something wicked is creeping his way as investigators work up the food chain to discover why and how so many high government officials cooked up a scheme to get rid of the despised winner of the 2016 election.

President Obama, Liberalism’s great bowling trophy, its incarnate virtue signal, is going to get “the business” from the very justice department he sicced on his successor, only now under new management. If you think the Left has gone batshit crazy since the Mueller report flopped, along with the supposed author’s Mr. Magoo-like performance before congress in July, just wait until Mr. Obama is called upon to do some official ‘splainin’ about who exactly authorized the operation to unseat Mr. Trump. I daresay the Left would rather blow up what remains of the Republic than see their retired champion in a witness chair, subjected to the peevings of mere mortal federal attorneys.

And yet, certain remorseless legal machinery has been set in motion now that could send a whole boardroom of former Obama administration higher-ups into disgrace, infamy, and possibly the federal slammer. Think: former CIA Director John Brennan in his future role as ping-pong round-robin manager at the Allenwood, PA, penitentiary; Loretta Lynch paring turnips at Camp Alderson, WV; James Clapper trying to catch a little tan in the ‘yard’ at Lompoc…. Somewhere along the line, someone is going to point a finger at Mr. Obama and those who were around him in the dear dead days of 2016.

There’s no precedent for this, of course, not even the case of ole Tricky Dick Nixon, who never had to take a witness chair in the Watergate matter and received a pardon from his successor, Gerald Ford, which made the whole tiresome business go away pronto. Wouldn’t it be a kind of poetic justice if Mr. Trump had to do the same for Mr. Obama? The New York Times would surely find a way to spin that as “racist.” CNN would declare war on FlyoverLand and send Don Lemon to Kentucky in a Lincoln Navigator with a light-saber to subdue the Ku Klux Klan and the satanic hosts of White Supremacy. Well, you see how easily this country could lose its shit.

In the meantime, cries of consternation rise from Right at the DOJ’s demurral to actually indict Mr. Comey on any of the charges listed rather explicitly in the new report. The explanation goes something like this: Comey gave an official FBI memo of his own composition to pal (and attorney) Daniel Richman, and instructed him to leak the contents (though not the memo itself) to a New York Times reporter. The memo involved recollections of a one-to-one meeting with Mr. Trump in which the case of General Flynn came up, with Mr. Trump making the case that there was nothing illegal about the National Security Advisor speaking with the Russian ambassador — since, after all, that is precisely what ambassadors from foreign lands are in Washington to do. I actually wouldn’t be surprised if it turned out that Mr. Comey was wearing a wire during that, and several other, meetings he had with Mr. Trump — before the president grokked that he was being personally set-up for an obstruction-of-justice rap and issued Mr. Comey a pink slip.

In sum, this particular matter amounted to a rinky-dink charge, where Mr. Barr’s prosecutors are concerned, compared to the greater and darker matter of Mr. Comey’s role in defrauding the FISA judges to get warrants to spy on US citizens. That will likely be Mr. Comey’s true Waterloo. So, he greeted this week’s IG report with a smarmy Twitter tweet celebrating his imagined “exoneration.” Imagine instead what his cortisol level will be in the months ahead as he awaits further moves by Messrs Barr, Durham, and IG Horowitz.

In an early riposte to all this bother, hapless MSNBC anchor Lawrence O’Donnell came out with a “bombshell” report that Mr. Trump had used a claque of Russian oligarchs to co-sign some loans in his hotel business — more proof that the President is Putin’s puppet! Alas, like so much other information seeping from the bloated, decomposing carcass of RussiaGate, the report had not been verified before Mr. O’Donnell opened his pie-hole to blab it out on prime-time TV. The President’s attorneys promptly offered to sue Mr. O’Donnell for defamation unless he apologized post haste and renounced the phony report. Which he did. Just another day in hysteria-gripped MediaLand.

As a sidelight, given the content of the IG’s report on Comey, one can easily imagine Judge Emmet Sullivan having to now throw out the case against General Flynn, which has been fermenting in pre-sentencing limbo for the better part of a year, perhaps awaiting developments like these. If not, Mr. Trump will surely have to pardon the General. It would be real poetic justice to see him hired back to the job he was underhandedly shoved out of.

These shenanigans by the deep state are not just unconscionable but are the manifestation of the end of democracy. We are in deep state!

    • K-Dog August 30, 2019 at 11:19 am #

A deep state with no fish for a deep fryer.

‘According to researchers, there will be no seafood left to catch by 2048, except for jellyfish, which will thrive in the new, collapsed ecosystem. Luckily, they say that jellyfish have the same nutritional content as shrimp, which is pretty darn good.

      Fish gone by 2048

A sustainability menu in sushi bar. There are such things.
      Trump doing anything about this?

High and dry, Trump is only one fish we should fry.

      • JohnAZ August 30, 2019 at 12:16 pm #

        Trump doing anything about this?

        Give me a break!

Let see, maybe he can get everyone into a line and shoot every other person until the overpopulation problem is past.

Maybe he can destroy an industry by shutting down ocean harvest.

Maybe the same with fossil fuels.

Hey, what would you like to replace these livelihoods with, or maybe just put them into the overpopulation line?

When the resource runs out, oil or seafood, problem solved. Right?

        • K-Dog August 31, 2019 at 12:16 pm #

Yes maybe he could do SOMETHING!

Maybe he can destroy and industry or two that is destroying the planet. Stop fishing boats with nets too long or who fish beyond quota or who use SLAVE LABOR.

Maybe he could tell the truth about the finances and the physical state of the oil industry.

You have freedom molecules leaking out of your ass.

      • Sushi is incredibly destructive. The industry is largely dominated by companies owned by the Rev. Sun Yung Moon’s Unification church (another Christian apocalyptic death cult).

Around the world Sushi is beloved by millions yet every fish that makes it to a plate represents 9 other species caught, killed, and thrown overboard.

The exploitation of the world’s oceans remains a lawless frontier largely plied by Asian fishing vessels beyond exclusive Economic zones (out 250 nautical miles from most international boundaries.

Within these zones, marine life has been subjected to the equivalent of strip mining: ocean floor dredging, which destroys uncountable amounts of life necessary for the health of the ocean.

With its religion-powered industrial markets (Chinese medicine, Korean and Japanese cult gastronomy) and brain-dead Liberal clientele in the West, the oceans have been pillaged, raped, and genocided to the point of total collapse.

What is needed is a multilateral ocean force able to seize and destroy fishing vessels and sushi restaurants, but there is no political will since all the ocean-dominating nations of east and west are largely in thrall to the seafood cults, the food industry lobbyists, and the dependence of local “special snowflake” populations that persist in subsisting on industrial ocean harvest.

Meanwhile the plastic and lead and mercury carried by ocean flesh meals continues to make its way into customers’ bodies, damaging brain cells already compromised…

        • newworld August 30, 2019 at 1:37 pm #

Yep. That said when I first heard of a show called “Wicked Tuna” I thought just a total crap fest of exploitation TV. On actually watching it I think it puts a floor on bad behavior in the tuna biz.

        • SpeedyBB August 30, 2019 at 3:35 pm #

          Lil Deb,

Came upon a terrifying report a year or so ago on the web on radioactivity in ocean catches. Some enterprising reporters took their set of radiation detectors (apparently you need several to measure different flavors of radiation) and waved them magically over high-priced San Fran sushi.

Most of the fish reportedly set the needles a-thrill with the old Fukushima bounce. Question to expert: ‘Would you eat this fish?’ Head is shaken. ‘No way.’

I went hunting for a ‘pocket detector’ I could surreptitiously scan seafood with, and that’s when I discovered it’s not just a little neat Radio Shack Geiger Counter that will do the job. There is too much hardware necessary to pony into the sushi joints – and testy chefs have exceedingly sharp & gleaming knives to point at spoilsports.

Unfortunately when I went hunting for the article on the web I couldn’t dig it up, as I had lost the link. I continue to eat fish several times a week; it adds glow to my already-radiant personality.

          • JulieK August 30, 2019 at 6:12 pm #

Mr. Kunstler, this deserves your attention. This ugly remark is beyond decency and should be removed. Please delete this.

          • hmuller August 30, 2019 at 8:14 pm #

I’m sure RIB only meant a “metaphoric” red hot poker.

What’s more Debs was the first to advocate violence, barely stopping short of calling for the murder of all sushi chefs,

“multilateral ocean force able to seize and destroy fishing vessels and sushi restaurants”

Oh what an unsavory kettle of fish!

          • SoftStarLight August 31, 2019 at 12:39 pm #

The whole point of freedom of speech is to allow speech that is offensive, distasteful, etc. Why should a comment be deleted because you don’t like it? I thought it was gross too but so what. There are many other disgusting things said here and everywhere else online. Perhaps you should only go to sites where there is no possibility that you will be offended.

      • BackRowHeckler August 30, 2019 at 2:17 pm #

Actually KDog, just the opposite is true.

In 1900, Ct rivers were devoid of fish of any kind due to 200 years of paper mills and tanneries built on their banks.

Teddy Roosevelt and our own Gifford Pincot came along, instituted reclamation projects, and cleaned up the rivers.

Brown trout were brought in from Germany, large mouth Bass from Maryland, small mouth bass from the St Lawrence River, Salmon from the Columbia River in Washington, pickerel from Michigan … a large scale stocking program that continues to this day.

Fish are plentiful, I catch my limit (trout) each time I go out.
What you are saying is nothing new; I’ve been hearing the oceans and lakes are fished out since I’ve been a little kid. Yet, in LI Sound, the Farmington River, Twin Lakes, fishing has never been better.

        Brh

        • Gifford Pinchot pulled a fast one over Roosevelt’s dead body and the result was, as you indicate, the stocking of non-native fish.

That “large scale stocking program” was an understatement- in many, if not most places, whatever wild species existed that weren’t destroyed by human disturbance were annihilated by intentional chemical poisoning.

WWII air crews trained in high altitude bombing dropped cyanide capsules into remote lakes and elaborate poison delivery systems were stretched across wilderness rivers from bank to bank, destroying life indiscriminately.

The effort turned a self-sustaining ecosystem into managed animal farming on a continental scale…

Sunk cost fallacy keeps it all going and now, we’re seeing the whole scheme start to fail.

          • BackRowHeckler August 30, 2019 at 4:47 pm #

You were not around in 1900. Nobody alive is. The argument and can easily be made that the world was in far far better shape than now. We could argue all day.

But success stories are good. Please find more. They are few and far between.

Are these the same researchers that said Manhattan would be underwater by now?

          • SoftStarLight August 31, 2019 at 12:49 pm #

So then there aren’t any researchers who predicted that Manhattan would be underwater by now? Jim Hansen, NASA’s climate expert said that parts of Manhattan would be underwater by 2018. It happened.

2020 will be even more interesting than 2016!

    • Nightowl August 30, 2019 at 10:42 am #

There will be an all-out effort via the Dems and Never Trumpers to steal the election via the voting machines.

Trump looks poised to win, but I suspect we will see a no-holds-barred version of the Shrub strategy employed by the Uniparty.

      • Majella August 30, 2019 at 11:46 am #

In what ways dies Trump look ‘poised to win’?

        • CancelMyCard August 30, 2019 at 12:00 pm #

          In what ways dies Trump . . . ?

Let us count the way .

        • volodya August 30, 2019 at 12:03 pm #

Majella, it’s a testament to the degradation of US politics that Trump won the last go.

How could he have won but for the utter inadequacy of his adversaries? Look at who opposed him for the Republican nomination. The Democrats should have found it virtually impossible to find a nominee worse than Trump but they managed to. The same could apply to the next election.

Here’s the plan for losing to Trump again: keep insulting Trump’s voters, keep denying they have legitimate interests, keep telling them their economic decline is entirely their fault or that they’ve been “left behind” like a family losing track of one of their kids at a road-side stop, keep denying the role of deliberate government policies orchestrated by the wealthy few, keep calling them cretins and racists for sticking up for themselves.

If the Democrats stick to my plan for losing I guarantee they will lose. This is fool-proof, just keep doing what they’ve been doing and they WILL lose.

          • JohnAZ August 30, 2019 at 12:09 pm #

Maybe it is a reflection of where our country as a whole has gone. The top three spiritual motivators today are:

            1. Money

            2. Money and

            3. Money.

          • Janos Skorenzy August 30, 2019 at 1:20 pm #

Yes, we always hate those whom we have betrayed. The Elite offshored our industrial base leading to the ruin of tens of millions and an ongoing ruin of the remaining middle class. To admit this is impossible. Far easier and more satisfying to vilify the victims.

          • Nightowl August 30, 2019 at 5:00 pm #

They also have no worthwhile candidates and are committed to destroying national sovereignty. Might get enough rubes to vote for that over time, but not yet.

Over here in Germany, Merkel has failed as well. Her biggest mistake was openly saying nations need to start giving up sovereignty.

One would think these politicos could outdo a businessman they claim is unintelligent. But hey ho …

Yes, 2020 will be the apex of the fight between the two extremes. Each side looks like a devil or angel, depending upon your allegiances. There is little to be learned from the two sides but much to be learned about the two sides fighting. Buckle up!

      • BackRowHeckler August 30, 2019 at 5:13 pm #

A fight between 2 extremes like the 1860 election

John Breckenridge and John Bell jumped in as outlier candidates in 1860, did pretty well. Same might happen in 2020, with Bloomberg and Tom Steyer announcing sometime next summer, throwing the PBS News Hour babes into a tizzy.

Yeah, but when they’re fighting amongst themselves, they tend to leave the rest of us alone, Walter. I’ve long abandoned the notion of any positive results on the Federal Level. Stasis is best; after all, the richest “mines” in America are the ones on K street, where a few million in capital can return billions in contracts.

        Good point Doc.

    • JohnAZ August 30, 2019 at 10:59 am #

      Walter

That IS the Deep State. Our representatives do nothing, really nothing, two or six years at a time, make as little noise as possible, stop all activity at the committee level so it does not become public, then go home six to twelve months before the next election to spend lots of money convincing their constituents how many wonderful things they have done for them. It must be exhausting, no wonder the Reps want to be Senators, then they only have to genuflect to their home folks every six years.

In all ways possible, vote against the Deep State.

Think about the above agenda, can you imagine why they hate a go-getter like Trump so much? Making waves, which he is so good at, is an anathema to the Deep State.

The founders wanted a Federal government with very limited power, but the current flock of do-nothings have perfected the art of do-nothing.

Be careful about that John. You might show who you really are with such talk. Mission security, do remember!.

Would I be one of the domestic enemies? Of course I am. You tell me all the time. I want things different and better but your interest and the mission in your Plan Of The Day is to keep things the same as they are to a fatal flaw.

It our nation is threatened pretend it ain’t so; you just said so.

So say it ain’t so if you wish but since you mention Reagan, probably not a good idea. You already risk exposure as it is.

The biggest enemies of our way of life are domestic

Everybody is going to get pardoned just like Comey just did. It’s all to keep the show going for the most part. Winning elections is a big part of the show. Those who are willing to do more – like the Clintons – rise to the top.

      • messianicdruid August 30, 2019 at 2:23 pm #

Wake me up when any of that changes…

The child molester Epstein couldn’t be convicted the first time he was charged. Maybe he killed himself, maybe not. He died to protect the deep state, celebrity perverts, such as the Clintons, He may have committed suicide to escape a more horrendous fate. I don’t think any of the Comey, Brennan, etc. bunch will even be charged, much less convicted.

Their prime directive is to bad mouth Trump, period. Whether it is substantiated or not.

Can you imagine the editorial board room meetings trying to figure out the best way to be negative about Trump. Nothing positive, and there is a lot of positive, is ever reported about Trumps excursion in DC. No wonder there are so many misinformed folks out there. If the truth was transmitted, the Libs would have to pack their bags and move elsewhere, because the folks here would laugh them out of town.

      • Nightowl August 30, 2019 at 11:39 am #

Of course. It started when he became the nominee. In the leaked DNC mails over at Wiki, HRC’s internal team discusses how they ordered the press to cover Trump positively in the primaries, as they thought he would be easiest to destroy once nominated.

Then, they shifted to full negative coverage — aided by Obama rolling back Smith-Mundt and legalizing propaganda, making it easier to smear Trump with out and out lies. They also shifted to “accountability journalism” (their words), which is how they feel better about making up stories wholecloth to advance or support a fake narrative.

I believe it, if you take a look at most celebrity lefty mouthy types their eyes are a dead give away of drug abuse and/or mental illness. The usual conservative intellectual egos are only interested in making a point in response so they sound smart but a troll would obviously find the Left these days as a target rich environment.

I’d say some of them might be tweakers like Beto but supposedly it’s a drug called Adderal that all the resistance types suck down like candy, but I only hear the rumors and notice their erratic behavior.

Beto would have made a great character on Breaking Bad, a lunatic moralizing scold waving his arms about and also deep in thrall to some Mexican meth gang.

      • hmuller September 1, 2019 at 10:26 am #

You raise a good point SSL. People often take a scientific issue and make it the basis of social, political, and moral policy. Science is properly about determining facts and has nothing to do with deciding what is morally right or wrong.

Example: Darwin’s theory of evolution. I’m not saying whether it’s correct or not scientifically. But it should never have been carried over to the realm of social policy and political theory to justify conquest, colonization, or human eugenics.

In the U.S., science denial is embodied by a hard core of religious idiots kept politically relevant by the conservative umbrella. Republicans who supported wholesale demographic shift and massive population increases

Yet there is some hope that these morons can be corralled by a single charismatic figure, which they have proven susceptible to over millennia. I hope the emergence of the child savior archtype in the mold of Greta Thunberg will trigger these delusional, brain damaged mental midgets, into doing the right thing. – the boomers increasingly buying RVs

Venture capital has been quietly moving into the space for a while.

How this shakes out in terms of housing prices is not yet clear, as it seems that prices are being artificially propped up by the Municipal/Real-Estate complex.

The very obvious failure of Leftist policies are easily observable in Chicago, New York, LA, Or San Francisco. Just let these idiot farms continue, their demise is certain and imminent. The problem, all you more Rightist folks, is what are you going to replace the failures with.

Sorta like Obamacare, if you do not have a better idea, STFU.

    • JohnAZ August 30, 2019 at 11:20 am #

If you are saying that the Left are all rational scientific thinkers that base decisions on logical thinking, and the Right is a bunch of non-thinkers, you are delusional. Ten minutes of listening to the idiots in show business, with a few exceptions, will negate any feelings that the Left has any thinking ability at all.

I am a believer that GW is happening, but the degree caused by us and by natural causes is yet to be determined. Solution of this is being stopped by politics, both sides. The Right wants proof, the Left wants power. Pollution is killing people now, not fifty years from now. The political stupidity is stopping progress on reducing carbon combustion world wide in rational ways.

BTW, the Amazon fires or a good volcano will undo in hours what the GND promises it will do. One good orbit wiggle by Gaia could throw us into a warm up or an ice age.

Ban politics, not cows or jet planes.

      • Y’all think your folk wisdom is just as good as a PhD.

If the left captures scientific votes and the right captures the non-scientific it just means it’s arithmetically certain the future conflict between generations has been framed in political terms .

This just count the populations. Boomers on way out, Zoomers on way in, we’ll see what happens eh? We’ll see what traction paternalism gains vs. the scientific method.

        • Ol' Scratch August 30, 2019 at 5:09 pm #

No, actually I think it’s better than a PhD. I work surrounded by PhDs of all nationalities. All having a PhD means is that you’ve studied and become an expert in a really, really tiny slice of a particular field. And I do mean tiny! Ask any PhD a question in layman’s terms on just about anything that you think might be in their field of expertise you’ll get either, “That’s not in my particular field of expertise,” or “The answer’s complicated and I can’t give you a definitive answer on that,” or better yet, a simple “Huh, you talking to me?”

In other words, they know a whole lot about just about nothing, and that’s the smart ones. I have fun with them though. Did a fantasy football league with seven other PhDs last year (signed up again this year). Went 15-2 and won the league championship going away. Native intelligence. My MBA (a totally shit degree) trumped their PhDs hands down.

Few things political would please me more than seeing the purpose of the counterintelligence investigation exposed for its true intention to prevent the election and service of Pres. Trump. But I expect this pleasure to be denied when IG Horowitz releases his next report with the conclusion that the counterintel efforts were properly predicated. He might even conclude that the last three FISA warrants were improper because they knew by then that the Russian dossier was unreliable.

A few low level people might even be charged with failing to properly notify the FISA court, but that should be the end of it. A good indicator of this outcome is that no FISA court judges have bothered to call anyone back to explain their lies.

I think that Barr’s only chance to expose the real conspiracy would consist of finding solid evidence of some serious criminal behavior by someone who might be squeezed into giving up some others in return for less jail time. Maybe he should hire Andrew Weissmann.

On June 12, 2016 there was a monstrous catastrophe of apocalyptic proportions

Barack Obama was forcefully removed from power and sent around the country to campaign for Hillary Clinton, so not to mess around under Hillary’s feet while she was taking care of the affairs of the American State.

Around the same time, Bernie Sanders nieces were taken hostages and Bernie was threatened that they will be transferred to the Pedo Island to be dealt with in the same manner as Gilles de Rais dealt with children during his “ceremonies” of evoking the Spirit of the War of the Roses, so that Bernie would endorse Hillary Clinton at the Democratic Convention.

All this looks more than a fabrication of a crazy blogger, because it forced more than 400 delegates to leave the Democratic Convention, demonstratively sealing their mouths.

And television showed it to the whole world, as well as not too carefully camouflaged bruises on the face of Bernie Sanders and his crying brother, on behalf of Sanders passing to Hillary Clinton the votes of Bernie Sanders.

And President Trump is well aware of that situation, because I have reasons to believe that his people participated in freeing Barack Obama and his family on the eve of 2016 elections.

  18. volodya August 30, 2019 at 11:40 am #

Now, while I’m entirely with JHK’s take on the in-yer-face, what-are-you-gonna-do-about-it misdeeds by the malefactors he mentions, I’m not nearly as certain as he is that any of them will spend as much as a day in a court-room never mind in any one of the over-night federal facilities dotting the countryside.

I don’t know any of the Virginia farm-boys that make up the rank and file of various investigative agencies so I can’t say where their personal sympathies lie. MAGA? Maybe, maybe not. Maybe they hold the same opinions as most of us on this site as to the great issues of the day, the thinly disguised coup attempt being one of them. Maybe they’d just as soon see their betters locked up. But I really don’t know. In any case what difference does it make if they’re not the shot-callers?

But their bosses upstairs didn’t get there by not drinking the Kool-aid. I think what we’ll see is class and social solidarity prevail. They may secretly think what a travesty of justice they’re perpetrating by handing out get out of jail cards, making up Comey-esque excuses for not prosecuting. But these guys have their self-interest to think about and that of their kids. Can you imagine what becomes of the work and social life of a public official seen to have a part in the conviction and incarceration of somebody that the upper-crust consider to be nothing more than a patriot, doing his duty, acting in the best interests of the Republic?

Maybe a career-stopper, for sure guaranteeing banishment to the bottom-most basement of the most remote and run-down public building. As far as personal life goes, shunning, no more dinner parties with the Georgetown glitterati, ostracism for their kids, the all-but-certain entry into Ivy-League colleges now a virtual impossibility.

I’d like to see that roster of crooks in the slammer for their insults to the body politic. They don’t know or don’t care what damage they’ve done to the societal landscape. If wishes were fishes…

I wish someone would describe what racism is. There is not a pure white person here, nor a pure Black nor a pure everything. Genome studies in the US show we all have Neanderthal genes in our structure.

Ok, if there are no pure races, how can there be racism? I would like to rename it “We are better than you”. KKK groups say “we are better than everybody else”. Based on what? BLM say that Blacks are better than everybody else, based on what? Ya da, ya da. You name it, La Raza, CAIR, NAACP, ADL, they are all after one thing, “we are better than everybody else”.

That is the real racism. The real racists are people who dedicate themselves to the BS that is propagated by these BS artists. Racists are White, Black. Muslim, Latino, Chinese, Japanese, you name it. Ethnic, nationalistic, and yes racist.

The human condition, give me an excuse to hate and I will take it. Just give me an excuse.

    • volodya August 30, 2019 at 12:14 pm #

      There you have it.

I think there’s one countervailing factor and that’s the drive inherent in the male of the species for novelty. As much as the gals abhor this tendency, it’s hard-wired into us, pun intended. We want what’s different, and I think that’s nature’s way of avoiding inbreeding.

I think that we can see the effects of too much inbreeding both in the nit-wits in the Brit and Euro elite all of them pretending to have a clue while actually having none.

I read a while back that the Brit upper-crust have got an overabundance of surnames that are very similar to those of the knights that crossed the English Channel with William in 1066.

It’s time for a cull, that crew and the one in the US in my estimation way past their guillotine date.

“I wish someone would describe what racism is.”

      John,
A bit of a parable as an explanation?

Two newly laid off workers were talking; “Well Zeb, since the Mill closed I have decided to go to the community college and learn a new trade” Zeb, of course, is incredulous….”Well, Leroy, keep me informed….”

So Leroy goes to the college and speaks to a counselor, who gives him a list of courses to take, and one of them is a course in “Logic”

What is Logic”? Leroy asks the counselor.

“Well, let me explain” says the counselor. “First, do you own a weed eater?

      “Yes” says Leroy.

“Well then”, the counselor continues; “If you own a weed eater, then you probably have a lawn…”

      “Yup” says Leroy.

“Well, then, if you own a lawn, you probably own a house”

      “Correct again”, says Leroy.

“And further, if you own a house, you are probably married”, counselor continues.

      “Damn! Right again” says Leroy

And finally, the counselor concludes, “And since you are married, Logic has determined that you are heterosexual! “See? That’s Logic”

Well, Leroy is impressed, and immediately visits Zeb to tell him of his college curriculum.

He tells Zeb that he is taking several courses, one of which is “Logic”.

      Zeb is puzzled…”What is Logic”?

Leroy puffs himself up and says…”Well let me explain by an example…Do you own a weed eater”

      Zeb says…”No”…

Then Leroy says…”Well, you’re a Goddamned Queer, aintcha?”

People do not need to understand race, or logic, to fear and loath that which appears different.

Yes, hatred is ambient, a potential, always around to be activated. A few magic words – which MUST remain undefined – and you are in business. Humanity is not admirable. Alinsky knew that. Yet did he still believe in the Worker’s Paradise or Heaven on Earth? Doubt it. Some do, but I doubt he did. Far more likely that he was an overt Satanist.

The Left is betraying Feminism. Feminists who don’t get with the Tranny Program are now “TERFS” or Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminsts. This is much like being a CHUD or Carnivorous Humanoid Underground Dweller. As Sartre said, Feminism is a Marxism and thus not a Humanism. The TERFS have forgotten that. They think it was always about women but it never was us. Only the process or dialectic. Trannies are the next stage and thus they are now the all in all until they too are supplanted by God knows what.

The Freak Show, magnified by a sympathetic media, isn’t as big as you think it is.

We used to believe that admirable people were drawn to public service and that the rare scoundrel would be rooted out by the inherent goodness of the system. After Watergate the default shifted to assuming most public officials are corrupt, and a small group of honest people will save the system from total decay. Too bad those heroes never showed up.

I would go so far as to say I have never encountered such a disgusting, immoral set of individuals as I did in the think tanks, pollsters, political action groups, etc., of DC.

The truth, IMO, is that politics attracts largely genuine psychopaths.

      • RocketDoc September 1, 2019 at 10:49 am #

        @ nightowl
I spent 5 years in DC getting a Master’s at Georgetown and working for a think tank. We may have been naive and ineffective but not psychopathic. I was motivated there by some good people; Lester Brown at WorldWatch and Jim Grant at ODC. There were a lot of people trying to do the right thing.
My take was that it is difficult to do good and also do well. Globalism did not begin as a devious plot–it began as a reaction to the increasing power of multinational corporations as told in Barnet/Muller Global Reach and necessitated governmental structures to oppose that unchecked power. We thought “globally” because of obvious justice issues between the have and have not nations. There was a hope for a more balanced and fair international system that included the poor nations and allowed them to improve. We were NOT in John Perkins term, “economic hit men”.
However, Financialization was all the rage and bankers in the late 70s and 80s bestrode the world. The deals had to pay and there was no constituency for AID except the dictators receiving it. If getting a return was obvious then the internationalists piled in to make their fortune. Globalism has merely morphed–following the money- which has only gotten more insubstantial. An integrated fair international system was a pipe dream but there have been 40 years of international studies graduates since then who have hoped to find their place-improving the world. That we even have a system that allows this degree of waste of effort is amazing. Just one more thing to crash when the impossible Jenga financial system collapses.

        • Nightowl September 1, 2019 at 4:43 pm #

Roc, all of DC was “following the money” in my experience. And as I recall, globalism WAS the “increasing power of multinational corporations” slowly supersiding states. We are now at the point where they are telling us to give up sovereignty.

          Not devious? Heh.

What a crock! They’re (politicos) all on the same team and go to the same cocktail/beach/ISLAND/top hat and tails partiest. This is just a show!

Both parties have no problem spending $1.25 trillion/year on MIICC pork or stripping away our constitutional rights. None of them seem too concerned about exorbitant, extortion-like drug prices or America’s crumbling infrastructure.

Now, we are lead to believe that all of America’s problems are the result of illegal immigration across the southern border or because some poor souls from Central American narco-terrorist-gang banger states that the US created are seeking asylum here. What a great bit of propaganda!

Roughly 75% of the STEM jobs in the Silicon Valley are held by immigrantsbecause they can’t find enoough American citizens to fill the positions. The same percentage holds for Silicon Valley related new business start-ups! The late Steve Jobs said that in order to move Apple back to the US he would need 40,000 EE’s, but the US colleges don’t graduate that many .In fact, most EE graduates are from Asia or the Middle East. Here in Vegas, immigrants do most of the dirty work, such as construction, roofing or landscaping on 110F days. I don’t see many flag-waving red-blooded American good ol boys out there. But, hey, there taking our jobs, man! Whose jobs exactly? You might not like them but I guarantee, you won’t outwork them. Trump knows this. His resorts, hotels and golf courdes hire immigrants, documented or undocumented, alike, to do the dirty work.

Truthfully, the real reason for the diminishment of good paying jobs is automation. Wth the comming AI and 5G technologies it will only get worse. This issue cuts at the whole concept of what our economy is based on. You sacrifice your time in some laborius pursuit whose value depends on the utile of the task performed which determines your reward. No easy fix!

Republican Party + Democratic Party = Wall Street (Oligarchal) Party = Endless War Party
They just keep us divided with wedge issues while they fill their pockets and sell us out.

Once again, the crooked, corrupt DNC eliminated the only candidate to speak out against the endless wars, military entanglements, defense spending by deviously changing the rules. Good try Tulsi!

When have lawyers, business execs or bean counters ever solved complicated problems? Never! But thar’s who we trust to run our country!

Engineers take business courses to raise their GPA!

    • Janos Skorenzy August 30, 2019 at 2:38 pm #

Yeah, cuz we should always be having to out compete desperate 3rd Worlders who will do anything for low pay. That’s how to make America great again.

The lack of Vision is simply mind boggling. And imagine: once upon a time the Unions were against this kind of thing. They tried to improve the conditions of workers – American Workers as opposed to workers of the world. But the Left was always stalking them and obviously has over-thrown the old stalwarts, some of whom joined the Elite in any case. Betrayal from both ends of the spectrum.

But yeah, sure, Americans are too soft and corrupt. Making them compete with desperadoes whom the Deep State is behind 100% isn’t the way to remedy that. And yeah, apparently the Mexicans and Central Americans are good workers. But the seeds of greatness are not in them. Their America will be a very “pale” imitation of what America once was and could have remained.

      • hmuller August 30, 2019 at 8:51 pm #

Remember that Sally Field movie “Norma Rae”?

Union organizer arrives from New York City in a 1960’s southern textile mill town. Gets Norma Rae and all her fellow deplorables to join a union for better wages and conditions.

Unfilmed epitaph: corporations shut down all southern textile mills citing costs. Jobs go to cheap foreign places with even worse working conditions, lower wages, no environmental concerns. Deplorables get new life involving opioid and meth addiction.

Question: was the union organizer a tool (with or without knowing it) of the Wall Street agenda to force reluctant textile corporations to move overseas. I won’t even raise the issue of a shared ethnic heritage between him and his Financial Industry cousins, lest I be accused of “conspiracy theory” thinking.

Ok brh, I’m just gonna come right out and say it, you like to cherry pick your examples to inflame racial passions. Is there a grain of truth in your examples? Sure, I guess, although I rarely follow up on them to find out. But what’s your clear overriding agenda? C’mon now man, just man up and own it. You don’t like people of color, do you? Or is it just people of less economic means than you, with race just a handy concealing factor? Not surprising, since you’re oh so barely concealed Connecticut rich. Yes, I’ve noticed.

    Katechon and Boris Johnson

Events in the Old Good England are significantly affecting the mosaic that developed in my mind, which reveals the connection of disputes about the death of the Mother of God with the articulation of the Black World Project in the 11th century and with geopolitics over the past thousand years.

The fact of the matter is that Good Old England, also known as the Viking Empire of Cnut the Great, of which Russia of Rurik was a part, became the first victim of the anti-Christian Fourth Crusade, which was stopped by the Rurik Russia in the person of Alexander Nevsky, which became part of the Golden Horde.

The Fourth Crusade began with the invasion of William the Conqueror, also known as Bastard, as he was the illegitimate son of the Duke of Normandy Robert the Devil.

But England was also the first country where the Fourth Crusade was defeated when the youngest son of William the Conqueror Henry I Beauclerc, becoming king of the Anglo-Norman monarchy, like George W. Bush, split with the Black World Project and tried to restore the Viking Empire and Christianity in a country conquered by anti-Christians, and St. William of York secured this victory by making it truly real – I strongly recommend that you follow the link – it opens your eyes to a lot.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_of_York

Since then, there has been a war in England between the Viking Empire of Cnut the Great, the kingdom of King Arthur and the Anglo-Norman monarchy, which in the 15th century turned into the War of the Roses, and in 1917 spread to Russia when Lenin, who had read Marx at the Royal London Library, really went the other way, namely, the way of Pierre Abelard and his best student Arnold of Brescia whose followers made an exceptionally strong impression on the second Duke of Lancaster, later King of England Henry IV Bolingbroke.

Moreover, the most interesting thing is that Jan de Witt, eaten by the adherents of William the Third, was his educator and managed to raise the future King of England, who not only himself accepted the spirit of the British monarchy, but also managed to convey it to the Hanover and Windsor dynasties, in particular the spirit of opposition to the unification of continental Europe under the Black World Project of the West, like it happened in 1930s (and now in our time).

That is why England joined the European Union, to a large extent, contributing to the dilution of the compact Union of Coal and Steel with the collapse products of the socialist camp, and when the result of this dilution turned into something loose and fragmented, Good Old England decided to leave it as General Chernota left the Communists.

    General Chernota:
    – Listen, Paramon, I am a sinner, but I’d join Bolsheviks just to shoot you, and after, I will leave them!

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tot3O0iTrYk

    https://www.britannica.com/topic/European-Coal-and-Steel-Community

And yesterday, the Queen did dissolve the British Parliament so that it would not interfere with the new Prime Minister Boris Johnson to negotiate with the EU on Brexit, as the previous Prime Minister Theresa May agreed with the EU on the option of Brexit, the most disadvantageous for the UK.

Therefore, now Boris Johnson needs the opportunity for Britain to leave the EU without an agreement in order to exert pressure on the European Union in order to force it to conclude a new agreement, more beneficial for the UK.

And in the British Parliament, the majority is fully determined to take this opportunity away from the Prime Minister, and the Queen, having dissolved the Parliament, showed quite clearly that, by law, the constitutional monarchy in England is actually absolute, just the monarchs of Good Old England still have enough senses not to use it every day.

    https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-49524124

Well, there is no constitution there and constitutional monarchy is the famous English humor.

And this is of great importance for Russia, since a rather significant part of the Russian Church believes that Russia can be a Katechon only once again becoming a monarchy, and the principle of monarchy so far only works in England, and Good Old England just proved the autocracy does work in the 21st century.

    • Ol' Scratch August 30, 2019 at 6:59 pm #

Events in the Old Good England are significantly affecting the mosaic that developed in my mind

LOL! I have no doubt that they are. One could only wonder – preferably at some remove – what on earth that mosaic looks like.

No doubt your lens on the world is shaped by a classical education with a heavy emphasis on historical events (either that, or you an excellent bullshitter with a very large drug habit). As a mere American of decidedly modest working class upbringing, I must admit – rather much like most commenters on this board I suspect – that I haven’t the foggiest whether or not the tales you spin here are remotely true in any sense whatsoever, nor accordingly, do I know whether they pertain to current events in any possible way, as you evidently believe they do.

My only word of advice, gathered mostly from observing current events and extrapolating those lessons backwards, in direct contrast to your methodology, is to beware the written historical record, even gathered as a consensus of multiple sources, as any reasonably astute observer of current events (that excludes YOU Snacks!) can tell you that such accounts are at best a 50/50 mix of bullshit and truth, the better to totally confuse and disorient anyone foolish enough to read them.

Got me interested in ‘The Wars of the Roses’ which is really quite intriguing.

1455 — 1485, pikes, crossbows and longbows, and of course swords were the main weapons, but firearms began appearing on the battlefield in greater numbers too.

Only thing about this period its hard to keep the famiiy names straight, Tudors, Lancasters, Yorks, Plantagenets, they were relatives, it was a family squabble.

If he posts his own words, I further admire his extensive education in European History, as well as his knowledge, secular and otherwise, of what can only be described as Papal Intrigue…. I don’t agree with many of his posts…at least the one’s I understand.

Still, he is a Soviet Revanchist…but who does not want to return to our days of glory? We all want the certainty of US hegemony established in the 1950’s, yes? We all want to revisit our youth.

“Therefore, now Boris Johnson needs the opportunity for Britain to leave the EU without an agreement in order to exert pressure on the European Union in order to force it to conclude a new agreement, more beneficial for the UK.”

Finca, I’ll ignore the idiocy about absolute monarchy, but what does that sentence actually mean?

What has been agreed with the EU (but not approved by Parliament) is a Withdrawal Agreement. Not a Trade Agreement – that could take many years and will take even longer if the UK lowers its regulatory standards in a race to the bottom to kowtow to the US corporatocracy.

The Withdrawal Agreement, as its name suggests, is merely an agreement about the conditions of leaving, not any kind of beneficial, long-term arrangement between the two parties. It does include a transition arrangement so that businesses, jobs, travel, and the supply of food, medicines and other necessities don’t fall of a cliff after 31st October.

So, given that it’s just a Withdrawal Agreement, how does “[leaving] the EU without an agreement in order to exert pressure on the European Union in order to force it to conclude a new agreement” work? If we leave without an agreement, we’ll have left. Ergo no further agreement and no ‘forcing’. Just lots of people up shit creek, without the proverbial paddle.

      • GreenAlba August 31, 2019 at 2:38 pm #

And the more you witter on about absolute monarchy, devoid, it would seem, of any awareness that (a) the Queen’s Speeches to Parliament aren’t written by the Queen but by the Government of the day and (b) the request to prorogue Parliament came directly from the Prime Minister and the Queen doesn’t have any real choice other than to acquiesce, her being a constitutional (tolerated) monarch an ‘all, the more you force me to conclude that the rest of what you say is pretty likely to be equally uninformed.

      • GreenAlba August 31, 2019 at 2:51 pm #

PS Jacob Rees-Mogg and John Redwood are investment bankers. The regulatory race to the bottom is, for them, the very point of Brexit. Lowered protections for workers, lowered protections for consumers, lowered protections for the environment – and no let or hindrance – and certainly no transaction taxes – on finance.

“If the regulations are good enough for India, why aren’t they good enough for the UK?”.

Jacob Rees-Mogg, proponent of third-world standards everywhere. Except for billionaires and millionaires, like himself.

Lancasters and Yorks both descended from the Plantagenet family, were about 4th cousins. What happened in the end is all the male members of the Lancasters and the Yorks killed each other off in 30 years of intrigue and warfare, and the Tudors, from Wales, slipped in when Henry Tudor married one of the Yorkist sisters. I think that’s about the size of it. Its complicated, you need a scorecard to tell whos who.

“If you think the Left has gone batshit crazy since the Mueller report flopped…”

Before the Mueller report 8 in favor of impeachment.

After the Mueller report 128 in favor of impeachment.

The Mueller report laid out the evidence for impeachment, volume one for collusion with Russia; volume two for obstruction of justice. The Mueller report was hardly a “flop”… More like a thwack… one that nicely moved the legal process forward.

“Republican support for impeachment surged from 9 percent in May to 17 percent at the end of July, well outside the margin of error of 5.5 percentage points. Many independents were similarly moved to the pro-impeachment camp, growing from about a quarter favoring impeachment to more than a third.”

Republicans are abandoning the party, resigning in droves. Trump is losing to all five of the top Democratic candidates. If this be “flopping,” let’s have more of it!

The evidence presented in the Mueller report was effective in changing minds.

There is a huge difference at this time. Used to be that there were two parties that wanted to advance the cause of the USA. Different ways but both wanted betterment for the people of the country. Liberal ways wanted to help out the working class, and conservatives wanted to help the business classes. Different philosophies but both wanted to make the US a better place to live.

Until Reagan and Clinton. The changes started between those two. Reagan pushed everything in favor of Big Business and The Clinton’s pushed everything in the favor of themselves and the beginnings of the Liberal Elite. Unchecked liberalism and increasing government control since 2000 have made us what we are now. The Deep State almost had it all, then HRC lost. The Deep State Elite want everything for themselves. They do not care about the public, Joe America at all. They are totally controlled by Global powers. They want it all and will destroy America to get it. Power! An example? Green New Deal, acquisition of energy procurement by the government. A new one is AOC thinks we need to get the UN to control our southern border. Boy, talk about a power grab by the Globalists.

Right from the start , when I was ten years old , it mystified me how Americans could think the CIA or FBI was any different from the Stassi or the Cheka .

Or why , now , they think they should be different , even when, certainly now , it should be obvious that it’s the same species on both continents.

But then I’m mystified by the whole sex difference thing too.

For purposes of illustration I will use a substitute. ( Not that even then it will do any good , or make a dent. )

    A small percentage ( ? ) of men want 50 , or a 100 , or 200 , cups of coffee a day.

Basically , they want coffee from the moment they awake , until the moment they nod off.

Most men want coffee some time during the day , but not all day.

They blow hot , but then they blow cold too , basically.

Another small percentage ( ? ) of men don’t really want coffee at all.

They would rather play golf , or watch Nascar , mow the lawn , or study hog futures.

( Many in that group are actually rich , beautiful , and popular. )

All of this is obscured though because for some reason coffee drinking is equated with the Marlboro Man.

( Somehow the Marlboro man is as popular an image as ever , even though nobody smokes anymore. )

And a dislike or indifference to coffee somehow makes you a pussy.

Now we turn to women —

    A small percentage ( ? ) of women want 50 , or a 100 , or 200 , cups of coffee a day.

Basically , they want coffee from the moment they awake , until the moment they nod off.

Most women want coffee some time during the day , but not all day.

They blow hot , but then they blow cold too , basically.

Another small percentage ( ? ) of women don’t really want coffee at all.

They would rather paint their nails , manipulate children , go shopping , or study hog futures.

( Many in that group are actually rich , beautiful , and popular. )

All of this is obscured though because , well , why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free ? And why go to all the bother of milking a cow when you can have it delivered to your door ?

Not much in the way of meaningful differences in all of this as far as I can tell .

Whether it’s a comparison between the FBI and the Stassi ,

or a comparison between men and women ,

It primarily looks like a lot of self -flattering Kabuki Theater to me.

The logo of the US Department of the Interior which administers the Bureau of Indian Affairs is a buffalo. They’re all insane….

“With hunters in high demand, practically anyone capable of handling the deadly accurate .50-caliber buffalo rifle and mounted telescope was hired, and in the Mooar brothers’ wake came scores of misfits, miscreants, outlaws, and fugitives, drawn to the vast Kansas herds like flies to putrefying buffalo carcasses. Fort Dodge, in southwestern Kansas, became the center of the trade. In just three years, railroad cars hauled a staggering 4,373,730 hides to eastern markets. The Southern Plains tribes abhorred the wanton slaughter, but so long as the hunters remained north of the Arkansas River, the Indians had no recourse, short of war. South of the river matters were different, because the Medicine Lodge Treaty had granted the Indians exclusive hunting rights from the Arkansas River to the southern border of Indian Territory. Treaties, however, meant nothing to the hide hunters. In 1872, after decimating the Kansas herds, hunters crossed the Arkansas River “deadline” and continued the slaughter on Cheyenne and Arapaho land. By the end of 1873, the country between the Arkansas and the Cimarron Rivers had become a vast abattoir. The tribes reeled before the juggernaut, struggling to find a foothold, while the hunters laid plans to cross the Canadian River into the Kiowa and Comanche hunting grounds in 1874. The Indians implored the government to eject the hunters from their country. The Kiowa peace chief Kicking Bird tried to explain what the buffalo meant to the Indian in terms white men could comprehend. “The buffalo is our money,” he explained. “It is our only resource with which to buy what we do not receive from the government. Just as it makes a white man feel to have his money carried away, so it makes us feel to see others killing and stealing our buffalo.” Kicking Bird understated Indian fears, which amounted to apocalyptic dread. For the Plains Indian, extermination of the buffalo meant death—both physical and spiritual. Few besides the Indians cared. The secretary of the interior told Congress he “would not seriously regret the total disappearance of the buffalo as a means of hastening their sense of dependence on the products of the soil.”

Little Debbie, “No, hypocrisy is irrelevant in every way to every discussion on every issue and you would be be better off discarding it to avoid damaging what is left of your intellectual capacity.”

“It’s one thing for Spiro Agnew to call everyone in the press ‘nattering nabobs of negativism,’ Mr. Downie said, referring to Agnew’s critique of how journalists covered President Nixon. “And another thing to investigate individuals in order to embarrass them publicly and jeopardize their employment.”

This is precisely what several corporate newspaper chains, cable television news, websites, blogs and podcasts have been doing for years, including the NY Times — calling for the dismissal and loss of employment of alternative reporters who have been smeared as anti-Semitic, racist, sexist, homophobic, and so on.“

Defend hypocrisy? Your ways are not equal.

    • Ya ever hear “Two wrongs don’t make a right”?

From Kahane, Logic and contemporary rhetoric. (1984, 4th ed.) Chapter II: Fallacious Reasoning, and since we’re on the subject of Spiro Agnew:

“Here is an example with a good deal of literary merit, representing Vice President Spiro Agnew at his very best:

‘A spirit of national masochism prevails, encouraged by an effete corps of impudent snobs who characterize themselves as intellectuals.’*

(Agnew attacked his intellectual opponents without bothering to consider their arguments.) ”

      * this reference was published as a The New York Times Op-ed, October 20, 1969

Either way, I appreciate The New York Times then, as now, serves a particular function in the democracy. To wit, it purports to “afflict the comfortable, and comfort the afflicted,” and I would say that it does in fact tilt that way. It would be unreasonable to expect it to act any differently.

In contrast to other organizations which amount to little more than public relations, or propaganda, it has a point of view and an agenda which is principled even if, from time to time, it veers into hysterics.

Some might accuse me of putting The New York Times on a pedestal. This is untrue. I did not put it there. It put itself there. I recommend getting a subscription. If you don’t read the Times, I’m afraid you will find yourself behind them.

Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Theory of World Projects. P 2.

The semantic manipulations of Hillary Clinton and the “world government” do not allow relations between Russia and the West to be further determined by “reflections” on an intuitive level, but any attempt to comprehend these relations in the language requires an analysis of the history of the issue, and this is where the gag occurs.

Indeed, if we assume that the reason for the antagonism of Russia and Western Europe is the difference in mentality, then the question of the origin of these mentalities is immediately captured by the Shakespearean play “Anthony and Cleopatra”, since the existence of Christianity in the framework of a single Empire, when the rational West was a stronghold of orthodoxy, becomes inexplicable and the mystical, fantasizing East was the source of all kinds of atheistic heresies.

In my opinion, the only explanation for the observed antagonism is its causal relationship with the Great Schism of 1054, which gave rise to two essentially different civilizations, and the symbol of Faith, which affirms the need for a “Catholicical”, that is, a single Church, means that one of these civilizations is not Christian.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catholicity

Another point of view, voiced for example by Vladimir Nikolayevich Lossky in his report entitled “The Exodus of the Holy Spirit in the Orthodox Doctrine of the Trinity,” read at Oxford in 1947, directly states that “the question of the origin of the Holy Spirit, whether we want to admit it or not – was the only dogmatic reason for the separation of East and West”.

“For if the Trinity dogma is the pillar and statement of all theology and belongs to the area that the fathers called qeologia – primary theology, then it is clear why the disagreement on this issue, however insignificant it may seem at first glance, is so crucial.”

But anyone who has argued with sufficiently educated Catholics in this matter knows very well that they will prove to you right away that Filioque was introduced long before the Great Schism in the Spanish Church to combat Arianism and then it did not raise any doubts about its legitimacy.

And that in general, the Great Schism is the result of an illiterate translation from Latin into Greek, and in fact there is simply no difference in the interpretation of Filioque.

Moreover, the impression is that they do not “underestimate” the difference in theology, but rather hide it, and that they are taught this trick in theology lessons at Catholic universities.

And this impression is not far from the assumption that Filioque was specifically invented before the Great Schism in order to provoke a split, and then it remains “the only dogmatic reason for the separation of East and West” in full accordance with Lossky, but from a motivational point of view, the reason for Schism is desire to split Christianity by a malicious group of people, and the events connected with the fire on Losharik, if only by virtue of the principle of “Post hoc, ergo propter hoc”, which in this case is not a mistake, make this assumption something much more than just speculation.

In particular, we all have before our eyes a pedophile sect, the high priestess of which made human sacrifices and publicly moaned from orgasm when she saw the death of one of her opponents on the screen of her iPhone.

Not to mention that she was going to oblige all Christian churches in America to commit blasphemy on a regular basis.

Moreover, just a few days ago the details of the Epstein’s case became known, which simply amaze with the resemblance to the details of the interrogations of Gilles de Rais by the “most holy” Inquisition.

Which in itself speaks of the antiquity of this sect.

Moreover, the campaign to whitewash Gilles de Rais, based on the allegations that “this cannot be because it can never be,” Epstein’s case unfolds 180 degrees and begins to prove that this sect exists and for it it’s important to whitewash Gilles de Rais , including in order to apply the principle of …

If you just possess a gun “for a moment”(!), you can get away with doing whatever you did (not murder for some reason), but only if you are an illegal and it was an “accident”. That he thought she was a seal seems to have gone away.

Freedom’s just another word for being an illegal goblino criminal in a sanctuary city. You can do a lot “in a moment” if you just happen to have the right tool handy and you think you see an albino seal. Open season on Whites in California has just commenced.

    • Janos Skorenzy August 31, 2019 at 2:02 pm #

What on earth does the “judge” think is the significance of the phrase “for a moment”. As opposed to owning a gun – the ultimate evil? They got this creature on a gun charge, somehow nothing else stuck to this career criminal. So the Liberals focused on the gun charge with this line of sophistry. A new door of evil may have been opened here. And of course, they are putting his life far ahead of Kate Steinle’s in value – someone who never hurt anyone and who had a right to be here.

Liberalism is utterly evil at this point and this action is the proof.

        Janos,
You do not understand…The convicted Felon, drug user and 5-time deported Illegal Immigrant merely “FOUND” the gun, and was attempting to pick it up and deliver it to a police station when the evil contrivance (guided by a demonic hand) discharged, killing the woman.

It was an accident. In Old Mexico, they call this an “accidente”. The illegal is now under care of several psychiatrists and a priest, who not only has performed several exorcisms (one of which went badly wrong), but has received, direct from the Vatican, a papal Bull providing absolution….

What about the Seal or Sealo? Papal Bullshit from the Chief Primate. Why was he trying to shoot a seal? That’s a crime too – a bigger one than actually killing a sweet young White Woman it seems.

I’m always finding guns on the street. I don’t touch them though much less pick them up. I don’t have a green card or green stamps or any kind of get out of jail free card.

How much money did Q make with Green Stamps again?

I don’t even look at them lest my subtle brain signature or stamp is left on the gun. How do I know they’re there then? I feel them under piles of trash or in dumpsters.

My psychic abilities are impressive indeed. Yes, I can read minds but I prefer not to. The general feel of the mob and of most individuals is bad enough. Any more and I will go mad. You are already mad, you say? No, I am just angry, yet radiantly sane.

You have to realize that we live in a time where you or your loved ones can easily end up the victim of violent black crime, & if you are a white person, your only recourse will be to throw yourself on the mercy of the court as the descendant of non-slave owners & thus deserve equal victimhood status as the black criminal. But if your ancestors came here before the 1800s, forget about that happy horseshit.

I think it was an Ethiopian (or Eritrean) who stabbed two Swedes in an IKEA shop a couple of years ago or so. I heard about it two days afterwards on an Irish blog and was surprised as, by great coincidence, I had actually listened to the P1 radio news the morning afterwards and they had not mentioned it. I went back to the podcast and it did get a mention, around the 1hr 15min mark in a two-hour broadcast. The following day the story was given more prominence but only to discuss, in their earnest way, whether knives should be on sale in IKEA. Nothing about the suspected perpetrator (who I understand was a refugee whose application for asylum had been turned down). Maybe that last bit is wrong and Snopes can put me right (“His application had not been turned down because technically he had written it in pencil instead of ink and so was not valid in the first place. Verdict: story not true”).

          • Sean Coleman August 31, 2019 at 5:28 pm #

When I wrote stabbed I forgot to add “to death”.

          • BackRowHeckler August 31, 2019 at 5:48 pm #

All the more so since this knife wielding Ethiopian is a sainted ‘Refugee’, who became a naturalized citizen in 2012, unassailable, beyond reproach really, for who knows what kind of indignities he was subject to in this racist country. Yes, yes, there is a young woman dead and guilt must be assigned, but aren’t we all guilty to a certain extent?

The irony of this case is twofold: Marjory Magill had travelled the world over, but was murdered in her own national Capitol. Also, she was said to be somewhat of an open borders and gun control activist. She apparently was still idealistic at age 27 and looked forward to a career in govt.

The Irish Savant is a superb blog. I just trained to link to it, but no dice. The System is protecting itself. Check out the recent article about Jimmy Saville, the arch-fiend. And of David Icke – who accused Heath of pedophilia. No law suit was brought – Heath obviously afraid to do so.

What can one say of Icke – this strange and strangely great Man? He was right and everyone else was wrong. What else is right about? The mind trembles at some of the things he believes. I’m not saying give him a carte blanche or surrender one’s intelligence. But this is a Man who has earned a fair hearing.

          • Sean Coleman September 1, 2019 at 3:55 pm #

Janos, the ‘Irish Savant’ sounds like just another misinformed fool. For starters it is Savile not Saville. As for Ted Heath I understand he was an officer in the Normandy campaign.d A close friend of mine used to be the election agent for the Liberal candidate in Heath’s Bexley consituency, a hopeless cause of course because Ted always won by a landslide. His big mistake was to take Britain into Europe. Actually, while I think of it, Ireland applied along with Britain in the early Sixties to join the Common Market (its aspirations to political union were played down to the point of outright deception, hence the title of Booker and North’s definitive history on the subject. There was another country also applying at the time (from memory), possibly Denmark but who cares? Anyway, when De Gaulle vetoed Brtains’ application (there was quite a complicated calculus, as I recall, involving EEC agricultural benefits to France and, I think, her precarious figure head position as top dog on account of her nuclear weapons – it is all set out in The Great Deception), when Britain’s application was rejected they went looking for the Irish application to reject that too. And guess what? They could not find it! So much or us being ‘at the heart of Europe’. (At the moment the EU is exploiting the Irish border with the North to stop the British leaving.)

Where was I? Ted Heath. When Savile’s ‘guilt’ was revealed to a media fanfare and public astonishment the police did not launch an investigation. His guilt was assumed. It has become clear that there was collusion and co-ordination between the charities (the national children’s charity NSPCC and the ‘abuse victims’ charities, notably NAPAC), the police, the media and possibly government before the shock-horror Exposur documentary of Nov/Dec 2012 (one year after Jimmy’s death), a programme aobut which it can probably be fairly said that there is not a sentence in it that is not either questionable or a lie. (Christopher Booker said the same thing about Al Gore’s magnum opus, as it happens: I read the two assessments by coincidence on the same day.) It was either the police or the NSPCC which made the extraordinary claim that Savile ‘spent every waking moment’ planning his next crime, and, of course, the ‘victims’ (and their lawyers) came out of the woodwork with their own personal stories (all in the name of justice, or to exorcize an unbearable weight on their shoulders caused by the rape or even just the imagined ‘inappropriate’ remark thirty or forty years before that had blighted their lives, ruined their marriages and turned them into an alcoholic or drug user and nothing to do with any financial gains which might accrue). Their number was surprisingly small. Meanwhile the justice system was dealt a blow from which it may never occur when the ‘victims’ were told ‘we will believe you’.

I assume the ‘Irish Savant’ does not know anything about the above.

Where was I? Oh yes, Ted. Well, one of Jimmy’s victims was a certain Carl Beech, who has just been handed down a very long gaol sentence. Anyway, I think it was only two or three weeks after ‘Exposure’that he rang up the NSPCC’s victims phone line to claim that he had been abused by Savile. He was referred to the Wiltshire Police. I can’t remember how much he was awarded but it was in the tens of thousands of pounds. (Peanuts I suppose to the ‘victims’ (and their lawyers) of Epstein.) The name he was known under was Nick. He also appeared on a later BBC Panorama documentary about Savile under the pseudonym Stephen. He told tall tales of mysterious parties and ceremonies. In one of them Harvey Proctor (who was the first to sue in the matter) was said to have tried to castrate one of these poor boys with a pen knife but Heath intervened to stop him. (Poor Ted would never have dreamed back in 1944 that his country could plunge such depths of deceit, depravity and, well, evil.)

There is much more (including what Beech and the former head of the victim’s charity mentioned above got up to in the field of sexual transgressions) but the above is the bare bones. And I missed out the damning, scathing assessment by a senior judge (Henriques) of the police’s role.

I bet the ‘Irish Savant’ is not aware of it, although he should do because it is Hiding In Plain Sight.

Janos, your refusal to renounce your perverse beliefs is a sin. I have set you right time and time again but you don’t want to know. And that (as I like to repeat) shows ust how strong these collective fantasies are.

          • Sean Coleman September 1, 2019 at 3:58 pm #

I missed this bit out. Beech’s fantasies were described by the police at the time as ‘credible and true’!

          • Sean Coleman September 1, 2019 at 4:04 pm #

            Janos

And Icke is ‘strangely great’? I remember him as a sports presenter. I think if was the less popular stuff, perhaps badminton and ping pong.

Here is another strangely great man you can look up: Chris Spivey. There was a hilarious video of him when the police were raiding his home and trying to break the door down. Another gem was his supporters gathering in Trafalgar Square in London to protest about something. What? God knows. They probably did not know themselves. I suppose ti was the Elites Silencing The Truth!

I fought hard to keep my daughter from going down that road.
In the end I figured it out all I had to do was point out just how poorly several of her friends faired dating black guys. All of them got wore out, physically and mentally abused then credit cards rung up then dumped.
They rinsed and repeated ad nauseum to the point one of them actually asked me why she couldn’t keep a boyfriend. So I told her date the ghetto get the ghetto why do you think black girls are so vicious that’s what it takes to keep their men in line and actin civilized.
With all that said most of the guys she tried to date were more less than I pile of cow shit and that included white guys and Mexican kids.
She finally found the “one” and married him but his family is nuts like most of liberal America.

Thanks to JHK for keeping me up to date on all this. The Irish media do not say much about it. It would not surprise me if they say nothing at all. Obama is a saintly figure: kind, benign and infinitely wise. Trump is a loud-mouthed oaf, a racist really (but we won’t stoop to his level by saying it). What I see of Congress appears to be an imitation of a cheap daytime television drama. Self-conscious posturing. The House of Commons by comparison is self-conscious in a different way, dressing up to play their own charade, The boisterousness is supposed to convey the idea that democracy is in rude good health. A couple of years ago Tony Benn’s son made a silly speech about intervention in Syria that was acclaimed as a Churchillian masterpiece. i have not seen anything as surreal in a long time as Mueller’s recent performance.

Have you ever noticed that when one reads a quote from William Tecumseh Sherman (who is named after a Native American, by the way) and Phil Sheridan, that they often use the word “Extermination”?

I think that to a lesser extent, Ulysses S Grant also had this peculiarity? Grant, Sherman, and Sheridan were the triumvirate, the Three Genocidal Musketeers…. During Sherman’s March through Georgia, Sherman espoused exterminating all of the Young Southern males of military age who he creepily referred to as the “Youngblood’s”….

“Phil Sheridan reveled in the slaughter. Hide hunters, he told Texas legislators contemplating a buffalo-conservation bill, “had done more to settle the Indian problem in two years than the army had done in thirty. For the sake of lasting peace, let them kill and skin until the buffalo are exterminated.”

Young Grant found the smell of the cattle being slaughtered and their hides ripped from their corpses in the tannery nauseating and revolting. Mature Grant never ate a beef steak unless it was burned to a crisp to expunge any vestige of blood. Ironically, President Grant oversaw the extermination of the buffalo which were killed for their hides to feed the tannery industry. Sick….

Was that the way it went down in East Germany, too?

Ron Paul did it too I believe. Not good. A blemish on a good fanatic who clearly sees one aspect of reality. That’s more than most people will ever do. Men like him help destroy Nations since you have to be able to see both sides (Left and Right) and that’s folly too since things have more than two sides – often far more.

Still believe in Democracy? Then you don’t deserve it. Only those who don’t want everyone voting have any right to vote – maybe. They still have to get tested and qualified. A kid might believe in the licensing process but he or she still has to learn to drive and pass the driving test, right?

This bores you, right? That simply means you aren’t anywhere near the qualification it takes to vote. It starts with rationality but doesn’t end there.

It must have been tough for the gays to dress down for the occasion? Normally they’re heavily into exhibitionism and can’t resist the temptation to go Whole Hog….

Once we take over, the fags will either have to take their demented nonsense underground, or “pay the piper.”

The truth is in the immutable nature of Mankind. The fags will have to be suppressed in the end (pun intended). The fag-shills in the ‘woke’ corporate media who are mouthpieces of the perversion insertion (Lemon, Cooper, Maddow, et al) will have to be purged, so that their perversions can do no further damage to the American psyche. They will have to be purged hard, as an example, so as to not f*ck with us any longer.

Hopefully, the example of their purging will last for several generations as an object lesson in why homo-sex is a bad idea in so many ways: hygienic, disease-prevention, demographics, upbringing of youth, social cohesion, corruption of institutions, undermining of objective reality, & then the corrupt & irredeemable globohomo pedophilic Luciferian establishment will be exposed & be greeted with revulsion for all the world to see. That day is rapidly approaching, on the silent tide of rightist dissent.

” Humanity is not admirable. Alinsky knew that. Yet did he still believe in the Worker’s Paradise or Heaven on Earth? Doubt it. Some do, but I doubt he did. Far more likely that he was an overt Satanist. ”

” Satanist ” is a very poor choice of words here I think.

While working on the movie , ” The Shinning ” , the Director Stanley Kubrick observed in passing to a colleague that this was a movie with a positive message.

    The colleague was surprised and puzzled ;

    ” Uh …….this is a horror movie . Where’s the positive in it ? ”

Kubrick explained , ” It’s a horror movie about ghosts with evil motives and intentions. —

    — That is , the subtext is that there is an afterlife.

    — That is , the subtext is that life is not nasty , brutish , short , and pointless. ”

Far , far better , I think , a hundred – fold better , if Alinsky had been a Satanist.

But , no , I think it was just a control thing.

Howard Hughes had a 30 + year business partner , I forget the guys name , once Hughes right – hand man .

But , finally , a complete and total divorce , and now the guy hated Hughes.

    The last ten years of their relationship , Hughes introduced an innovation ;

He would no longer see the guy face to face. All contact had to be by telephone , or by letter.

    Finally , in the last three years , the other shoe dropped ;

Hughes cut out the phone calls , and insisted all interaction be by letter.

This was no janitor , or third rank file clerk . This guy ran Hughes Tool Co. , THE font of all Hughes wealth.

This was ridiculous , and not for reasons of status , prestige , or feelings . This guy needed to , had to , see Hughes.

Well, as I said , the guy put up with this crap for ten years.

For ten years he told himself that Hughes was very eccentric , and paranoid.

    But he finally wised up.

Noooo , Howard Hughes was not eccentric or paranoid.

This whole pantomime was about keeping the guy at a permanent disadvantage , and in a position of perpetual insecurity and anxiety.

The whole thing was about control .

And never mind that Hughes knew the guy probably better than the guy knew himself , had never cheated or taken advantage of Hughes in 30 years , and didn’t fucking need controlling.

    It was a control thing.

Anyway , like I said , it would be great if Alinsky had been a Satanist.

    But I’m afraid not.

    • Janos Skorenzy September 1, 2019 at 1:46 am #

What you describe is Satanic. You may be making a distinction that doesn’t matter that much. I mean an overt Satanist isn’t going to start behaving any better once he joins. Presumably his evil would just become all the more effective since he would be taking orders from higher ups, if not Satan himself.

      • KesaAnna September 1, 2019 at 5:06 am #

Whether the Devil exists or not , whether God exists or not , whether God is an Aryan asshole , or a swell Hispanic , wouldn’t be particularly meaningful a split second after you cease to exist.

Sure , the Devil is no bit player in the New Testament.

Never the less , as I pointed out a week or two ago , in the thousand years prior to the rise of the nation state , you could almost count the number of witchcraft trials Europe – wide on one hand.

I don’t think that was coincidence.

THE distinction is Afterlife versus no afterlife.

Surely what is demonic is this obsessive pre-occupation with personalities and their foibles , which , I think , not coincidentally , drags attention away from THIS DISTINCTION.

        • Janos Skorenzy September 1, 2019 at 12:04 pm #

Very Islamic way of looking at it. That’s not bad, btw. They break it down into the People of this world, the People of the next world, and People of God. The People of the next world are worried about judgement, going to hell, etc. They act very piously to earn credits. Doing good and avoiding evil or demerits. Far above them are the People of God who seek His Face. They naturally do all of that and far more.

I’m trying to be a Person of God and you seem to be a stage two. Of course if you ace that and I flunk at my level, we’ll come out far more even – or you may come out ahead.

Christ’s perspective was always stage 3. Counsels of Perfection. Needless to say, in order for the West to survive, we had to go down a few notches in our policies. As the Sufis say, Christ taught the Path to the Other World, while Mohammad taught the Way in both Worlds (this collapses the three stages back into two).

Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Theory of World Projects. P 3.

Archpriest Andrei Tkachev gives a very coherent presentation of the Orthodox point of view on the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which in my opinion can be summed up with the words “There is a great mystery!”

The death of the Virgin is very similar to the death of her son, since she, like Christ, was resurrected on the third day, which actually caused her death to be called Dormition, that is, a dream.

In the “Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Theory of World Projects” post, one of the points of view stated that if original sin is the cause of death, the Virgin did not have to die if her conception was immaculate.

From this consideration, the Catholic dogma was born about the immaculate conception of the Virgin Mary, but then the question arises of how parents who were enslaved to sin could conceive her, and the purity of the concept requires the immaculate conception of the parents of the Virgin Mary, too, and this sequence must be continued.

I don’t know how Catholics solve this problem, but according to Maximus the Confessor, original sin is transmitted from parents to children during sexual intercourse, not physically, but through the thoughts and feelings of parents associated with it, and the true nature of man remained intact from original sin, and even what was damaged, after the mission of Christ could be treated with repentance.

Related to this is the teaching of Simeon the New Theologian, who died in 1022, about the true body of man, including the body of Christ, which on Mount Tabor became the source of Tabor light for his disciples.

Naturally, this connects this topic with Hesychasm, one of the founders of which was Simeon the New Theologian, and the famous medieval scholar R. Moore, having studied the case of the heresy of the castle of Monforte, in his “The heretics of Monforte, The Birth of popular Heresy” concluded that the heretics of Monforte Castle were declared heretics because of their denial of the authority of the Pope, and in fact they were followers of Simeon the New Theologian, with whom the Pope, whose name is in the interrogation records not mentioned, did not agree on a number of key issues.

But those who burned them were the predecessor of Barlaam of Calabria, just as Gregory Palamas was a follower of Simeon the New Theologian.

Having seized the property of their victims, this sect turned it into a base for preparing for the Great Schism and the Fourth Crusade, calling it Margrave Montferrat, which became the patrimonial possession of the future leader of the Fourth Crusade and the first Latin king of Byzantium, Boniface of Montferrat.

Similarly, the Ottonians, having captured the Orthodox Denmark of Harold the Bluetooth, turned it into a base for preparing the attack and the destruction of Vineta, which Shakespeare actually writes about in his play Hamlet.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ottonian_dynasty

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vineta

The connection of the heretics of the Monforte castle with the Orleans heresy and, accordingly, with the Albigensians and Cathars is a universally recognized scientific fact, although upon closer examination it turns out to be a connection between those who killed both of them.

And this suggests that the true goal of the Albigensian Crusade was not the dualist Cathars, but the co-religionists of the Byzantine Orthodox Christians who became victims of the Fourth Crusade.

Nevertheless, the fact that Cathars-Albigensians were condemned as heretics is been taken in Russia on faith, although those who sentenced them were close followers and often relatives of those who destroyed the Orthodox inhabitants of Vineta and Byzantium, and after several decades suffered a crushing defeat, first from Alexander Nevsky, then from Batu Khan.

Meanwhile, during the conquest of Vineta, the islands of Rugen and Byzantium, the crusaders showed such cruelty and baseness that there are very serious reasons to believe that the refugees from Vineta reached the Nestorian state in Mongolia, whose leader Van Khan they called Protopresbyter John, otherwise the fact that Genghis Khan was at the helm of the Mongol campaign now looks like an accident.

The fact of the matter is that, in comparison with the crusaders, the soldiers of Batu Khan seemed a model of religious tolerance and Confucian morality. Moreover, there is a lot of evidence of the participation of the Crusaders in satanic rituals and devil worship in the conquered territories, but these evidence are rejected by politically correct history, as well as the protocols of interrogations of Gilles de Rais are rejected.

In any case, even if the majority of the victims of Simon de Montfort were indeed dualists, this whole legend of the proximity of Catholics, and not Cathars-Albigensians to Orthodoxy in the West, is based only on the myth of how Simon de Montfort refused to participate in the Fourth Crusade and went to Languedoc not in order to prepare the continuation of the Fourth Crusade, but in order to get a rest for his soul.

He rested, alright, but went down in history with the phrase of one of his associates kill them all, the lord will know his own .

And this despite the fact that a century and a half later, when Byzantium drove out the Latin kings and Karl of Anjou began to assemble a fleet in Sicily to repeat the siege of Constantinople, this plan was brought down by the Sicilian Vespers, that is, the Union of Byzantium, Aragon, which defended in 1209 Albigensians, but was defeated by Simon de Montfort, as well as England, who defeated the son of Simon de Montfort and then fought another hundred years with France for the lands that she received in the dowry of Eleanor of Aquitaine and where Simon de Montfort committed his atrocities.

    To be continued…

    Wild, wild west, motherfuckers!

A shooting rampage that left 5 dead started with a traffic stop in West Texas

    Ed Lavandera-Profile-Image
By Faith Karimi and Ed Lavandera, CNN

Odessa, Texas (CNN)A man who was pulled over by Texas troopers shot at them with a rifle and sped off, setting off a terrifying rampage that ended with five dead and 21 injured, police said.

After he opened fire during a traffic stop Saturday in Midland, the gunman drove on the streets and the highway, spraying bullets randomly at residents and motorists.

He then hijacked a postal truck and ditched his gold Honda, shooting at people as he made his way into Odessa about 20 miles away. There, police confronted him in a movie theater parking lot and killed him in a shootout.

The victims injured Saturday included a 17-month-old girl and three law enforcement officers, hospital and police officials said.
It’s unclear why police pulled over the unidentified gunman or what his motive was. Odessa Police Chief Michael Gerke described him as a white male in his 30s but declined to provide additional information.

The shooting happened hours before a series of firearm laws go into effect in Texas, where four of the 10 deadliest mass shootings in modern US history have occurred.

The new measures will loosen gun restrictions and allow weapons on school grounds, apartments and places of worship.

    +++++++++++++

OS: Evidently, the local population did not anticipate the new law sufficiently and got caught flat-footed. One wonders if the next move won’t be to just legalize homicide altogether so that the cops won’t have to keep showing up in their hideous urban warfare vehicles after the fact looking powerless and stupid in their now ubiquitous Gestapo outfits. One has to laugh as the US continues to circle the drain, powerless to constrain its own violent impulses. War overseas? Fuck that! Pull the troops back home and let’s have a proper hoe-down right fucking here! Eat lead bitches!

I have a vision. One of mandatory gun ownership and carrying 24/7 from the age of 5 and up. One where there’s mandatory jail time for anyone stopped without a gun. One where 2-3 hours per day of class time is by law allotted to firearms care, cleaning, maintenance, and live range time. One where live active shooter drills without police intervention are scheduled with no notice regularly and where a certain amount of carnage from such drills is considered the cost of doing business. One where schools, teachers, and classes are graded on their participation and success in such drills, and where success is rewarded by elevation to nationwide televised competitions, with money and star power rightly accruing to the deadliest desperadoes in the land. Our problem is not that we have too many guns or crazy fuckers that use them, it’s that we don’t have nearly enough!

    == GreenAlba

I am glad, GA, that we are having a conversation in a way Jeremy Corbyn having a “conversation” with the Boris:

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn called the PM’s comments “complete nonsense”.

    https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-49524124

    • GreenAlba September 1, 2019 at 3:27 pm #

Well, if you don’t want me to call your comments complete nonsense, Finca, you’ll have to come up with something that’s not complete nonsense. I’m afraid the Queen has very few meaningful powers and the City of London is part of the UK. Annoying, I know, but there it is.

You remember Henry VIII? Of course you do. You mention him from time to time. Well, Henry was married to Catherine of Aragon and didn’t want to be any more, so what he was able to do about that was a result of him being an absolute monarch. So he could absolutely tell everyone else to **** off and so marry whoever he chose. And if he got fed up with them, it was off with their head.

Fast forward some considerable time to Edward VIII wanting to marry Wallis Simpson. Edward was told – by the Government of the day – that it was either Mrs S or the Crown. He had to make a choice.

That’s on account of him er…NOT being an absolute monarch. I’ve avoided the spoiler.

I’d like to think one day you’ll get it, but since everything in you fights against getting it, I guess there’s no point.

      • GreenAlba September 1, 2019 at 3:54 pm #

        PS from your BBC item:

“Mr Johnson said it was to allow the government to hold a Queen’s Speech and outline its “very exciting agenda” for the future.”

Note the form of words, Finca – ‘to allow the Government to hold a Queen’s speech’.

She’s not really sounding like the main protagonist there, is she?

A Queen’s speech is one of those occasions where Ma’am gets dolled up and reels off ‘My Government will do this’ and ‘My Government will do that’. No matter which hue of Government it is, note, she has to go along with it.. ‘Her’ Government hands her some sheets of paper with some salient points from their manifesto and Ma’am reads it dutifully. She’s quite strong on duty, is Ma’am.

    • GreenAlba September 1, 2019 at 3:39 pm #

While we’re here, Finca, I asked you which particular clauses of the Withdrawal Agreement you thought Theresa May should have not agreed on with the EU, but you don’t seem to have come up with any.

There’s 500-odd pages of the thing, so you have plenty to choose from. Try to bear in mind, when choosing them, that if you cancel your gym membership, they don’t generally let you still use the swimming pool and the changing rooms just because you have an unusual sense of entitlement. Because it’s their gym and you were the one who chose to leave.

      • Tate September 1, 2019 at 4:30 pm #

Category error. The U.K. is not a member of a gym, & the EU is not the gym.

        • GreenAlba September 1, 2019 at 6:37 pm #

Well, that was hugely enlightening, Tate. I’m sorry you don’t get the concept of an analogy and confuse it with a category error, but if you can tell me something relevant about the UK, the EU and cherry picking when you leave an economic and political union, please feel free.

Here are some key words you can try to incorporate into your answer:

Customs union, single market, tariffs, WTO, job losses, Irish border, Good Friday Agreement, agriculture, culling of unsaleable livestock, financial sector passporting, medicines, research co-operation, EURATOM (availability of nuclear medicine* for cancer patients), customs regulations, rights of EU citizens living in UK, rights of UK citizens living in EU…). Just a small sample to be getting on with.

          *http://www.europarl.europa.eu/cmsdata/134202/bma-briefing-euratom-and-brexit.pdf (British Medical Association).

        • Tate September 1, 2019 at 7:36 pm #

Leaving aside that you can still use the swimming pool & changing room of a gym without a membership (at least, around here), just with a different monetary arrangement, maybe the E.U. & the U.K. can come to agreement on all or most of those things separately?

Somehow, the E.U. member nations manage to conduct trade & diplomacy with non-E.U. members. Gee, how do they do that, lol?

Tariffs on, oh I don’t know, lamb, for instance, are 40%. So if you’re a sheep farmer you can’t sell your sheep, since practically all your exports are to the EU and people aren’t going to pay 40% more for your lamb. So, since you can’t sell them and you can’t feed them if you’re not going to sell them, you’re going to have to…cull them.

And by the time you do get a trade deal, they will be happy getting lamb from somewhere else and you’ll have gone bankrupt anyway. Sheep farmers have an income of about £20K/year on average. They don’t have bulging bank accounts.

Did you read the BMA’s leaflet on nuclear medicine supplies?

And here you can’t use the swimming pool and changing room of a *private* gym if you’re not a member. We have municipal swimming pools for people who don’t belong to gyms.

An agreement on ‘all or most of these things separately’?

OK, let’s give it 15 years. Although since it took two years to negotiate just a Withdrawal Agreement, maybe that’s optimistic. I’m sure the sheep farmers and the cancer patients will be enthusiastic about your plan. I’ll mention it to the Scottish seafood exporters too. The financiers who lose their passporting rights in Europe can sort their problems out themselves.

          • GreenAlba September 1, 2019 at 8:49 pm #

And don’t forget we have a significant service sector.

And WTO rules, which will apply to goods from 1 Novermber, barring a withdrawal agreement, don’t apply to services.

            Oops.

          • Tate September 1, 2019 at 9:27 pm #

So some of those sheep farmers will have to lower their prices to compete in the European market? (Others will go into some other line. If the current ranks of British sheep farmers make only 20K UK lbs a year, it sounds like there’s an oversupply of British sheep farmers.) But you have to take into account that these cheaper lamb prices will also redound to the benefit of the British consumers who will be able to eat more lamb at cheaper prices.

I’ll bet you can use the swimming pool & changing room to most of your *private* gyms on a day pass; you just don’t know about it.

I didn’t follow your link because it isn’t active & when I tried cutting & pasting, it returned a 404 error.

            Tate

The link is fine – you must have pasted something extraneous.

            http://www.europarl.europa.eu/cmsdata/134202/bma-briefing-euratom-and-brexit.pdf

Let’s park the gym analogy – it’s not the point. As you know.

Sheep farming is only one example. Factories are going to close in towns where there is little likelihood of another one opening. It would be nice to be able to subsidise some sectors, at least on a transitional basis, but with a no-deal Brexit going to send the economy into recession – possibly deep recession – that’s not going to be an option.

But sticking with sheep farming for the moment, most sheep farms are on hills and dales where you can’t do much else, agriculturally speaking, They’re part of the life of the countryside. I’m not sure what you think the sheep farmers from generations of sheep farmers could do – learn to code maybe? Your suggestion is about as sensible as saying all the ‘deplorables’ in your rust belt should just ‘do something else’.

Other livestock will be affected too – it’s not just sheep that have a 40% tariff. But I love your idea that they can cut their prices to compete in the EU, incorporating a 40% tariff. The reason incomes are low is because margins are already tight. And standards are high. English, Welsh, Scottish and Northern Irish lamb is a premium product. Sheep graze outside – you can’t stick them in some factory hell such as you tolerate over your way for ‘farm’ animals. And generally with livestock the only way you can cut prices is to cut standards – a race to the bottom. Growth hormones and chlorinated chicken. As chez the leader of the Western world where there are 10 times as many cases of food poisoning per head of population as in the UK. Because people over your way will put up with shit in the name of…well I don’t know what really, some illusion or other.

But I get where you’re coming from, Tate – you’re basically just a neo-liberal who thinks having no standards is the way to go to compete.

Just as your response to the needs of people with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses to not have their treatment disrupted is ‘f*ck them – my tests were all negative, why am I so lucky?’. Your ‘Christianity’ is a beacon in a wilderness.

Note that I’m not championing ‘no Brexit’. Brexit has to happen. But there’s sanity and there’s madness.

And that’s before we start on the Irish border.

A programme I watched on industrial farming and food processing in the US included a mention of a processing factory where the workers on the conveyor belt wore nappies (diapers) because they weren’t allowed proper toilet breaks.

So they just crapped in their diapers and carried on cutting up the birds. Just what we need – more Americanisation of our food production. The EU is no panacea, but there are things it gets right.

    far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD)

came up short of victory in eastern state elections in Saxony and Brandenburg on Sunday, but still finished with its highest vote share ever,
    Politico reports.

    Why it matters:
The anti-immigrant, nationalist AfD is one of several far-right parties across Europe that have made significant gains at the expense of the political establishment, including in May’s European Parliament elections. Angela Merkel’s center-right Christian Democratic Union (CDU) remained the strongest party in Saxony with about 32%, while the center-left Social Democrats (SPD) held onto first place in Brandenburg with 27.2%, according to initial results.

Worth noting: The results are being viewed as a victory for AfD, but all parties have sworn not to work with the far-right in a coalition government. That could be a difficult promise to keep, however, with vote share dispersed across a number of smaller parties.

The big picture: The state elections are being viewed as a crucial test for Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer (AKK), the hand-picked successor to Merkel. A series of missteps have Germans — including some in AKK’s own party — questioning her leadership. Her center-right CDU has become especially vulnerable with AfD chipping away at its popularity in recent elections.
    Saxony result projections

    CDU: 32.3% (-7.2% from 2014)
    AfD: 27.8% (+18.1%)
    The Left: 10.3% (-8.6%)
    Greens: 8.6% (+2.9%)
    SPD: 7.6% (-4.8%)
    Free Democratic Party: 4.8% (+1%)

      • Exscotticus September 1, 2019 at 3:49 pm #

LOL, this isn’t a story about Merkel winning; it’s about Merkel’s party, CDU, losing yet more votes to AfD. Merkel is now weaker than she’s ever been. She’s presiding over an EU that’s beginning to break up—largely because of her immigration policies.

Wait til Liz Warren gets into the White House — Schoolmarm and Earth Mother to not only the US, but the entire world.

What Im looking forward to most is the ‘Feminist Foreign Policy’.

Putin and Xi will be more than impressed, I’m sure.

When Russia annexed Crimea Secretary Kerry remarked “That is sooo 19th century”. It’ll be like that, except Warren would insist in the Crimea LBGQT rights are strictly enforced by the Russian army. “Yes, yes, don’t worry President Warren, homosexuals will be taken care of”, says Putin

Yeah, I would imagine the Ayatollah has voiced the same sentiments.

Remember the goal of the globalist connection Warren is a soldier of, wants the subjugation of the US. Their entire platform is the destruction of the independence of the American public.

Now the US, then Russia, then China maybe, unless China is in cahoots and is the center of the globalists.

This Democratic candidate pool is the most inexperienced and really ignorant group of national level politicians I have seen in my lifetime. Luckily, Trump is going to whip any of them, IMHO.

          • BackRowHeckler September 1, 2019 at 4:51 pm #

Well, first thing Republicans do if a Dem wins the 2020 election is launch a counter intel and criminal investigation into Chinese collusion with Warren or Biden, or whoever wins. Biden would be the best because of his sons contracts with Chinese intelligence back around 2012. Oh, what the Republicans could do with that! They could have a field day.

Germany is the powerhouse behind the EU. It has always been the bellwether State for continental Europe.

Latest economic data from Germany is not good. As Germany goes, so goes Europe.

The Liberal policies of unlimited immigration are taking their toll on a truly superb country. It is a shame!

Do not blame England for getting out while the getting is good.

      • JohnAZ September 1, 2019 at 4:18 pm #

        The people?

What people, do you know? Only 32% go with Merkel, far from a majority. The AfD, Trump’s look a like, was only 5% points behind.

For Liberals, the trends are ominous.

      • Nightowl September 2, 2019 at 3:52 am #

As someone who lives in Germany, I rather interpret it as the propaganda rags losing. Germans are never allowed to put the 30s and early 40s behind them.

What the climb in support for the nationalists shows is that the media, despite doing its best to tar and feather anyone who does not support the globalist plan to destroy national sovereignty, is losing in its efforts to steer the populace.

It is also worth noting that in terms of immigration, Germany (and most Euro nations) are far more homogenous than the United States, and will prove very difficult to break.

    • SoftStarLight September 1, 2019 at 3:15 pm #

Given the outrages she has perpetuated on the German people you would think there wouldn’t even be a competition. But if it is a trend then the AfD will be in control soon enough. But far far more is needed for any good change to happen. Sometimes a lot of good comes out of a lot of anger. In this case it seems like it can’t boil over soon enough.

      • JohnAZ September 1, 2019 at 4:32 pm #

        Not just the German people!

      • Majella September 1, 2019 at 6:29 pm #

“Given the outrages she has perpetuated on the German people…”

        Cambridge Dictionary:

Outrage – a shocking, morally unacceptable, and usually violent action:

You really need to be a little more specific re: these “perpetuated (sic) outrages”

        • Tate September 1, 2019 at 7:41 pm #

Merkel has perpetuated them because they will continue in perpetuity. But her descendants won’t suffer because ta-da! she doesn’t have any.

What are these outrages, you ask? Oh, just the senseless, robberies, rapes, murders committed on an epic scale by the ‘vibrant enrichers’ that she allowed to come en masse into Europe.

        • SoftStarLight September 1, 2019 at 8:06 pm #

I consider all the crime and social chaos brought on by Merkel’s migrants to be shocking and morally unacceptable. Satisfied? They are also turning out to be a net economic drain. And she is totally remorseless and believes bringing millions of strangers in was a brilliant idea.

          • Nightowl September 2, 2019 at 3:56 am #

The greater outrage was her comment that nations need to learn to give up sovereignty.

Because that is the big giveaway. She gave away The Plan.

Migration in and of itself is normal and even desirable, but open borders is something entirely different.

Resilience. She has it in spades. Tate sees the sad history handed to her by her parents as her fault, but if you’d been through the mill the way she has been, would you be able to demonstrate such resilience?

The fact she’s transgender is, for sure, a significant part of her story, but her ability to suffer all sorts of shit yet come through as she has is what I admire in her. Her trans status is by-the-by in my regard.

          • Exscotticus September 1, 2019 at 10:53 pm #

            >>> Resilience. She has it in spades.

So like Trump? He is also resilient. He’s endured constant 24/7/365 attacks from the Deep State and MSM, and even survived a “soft” coup. Doesn’t get more resilient than that.

          • Majella September 1, 2019 at 11:21 pm #

No, Trump isn’t ‘resilient’. He’s had the very best of “The Good Life” all his days, including having a ‘snow-plough’ parenting father.

It doesn’t matter much. The incoming Dem’s first days are going to be an epic parade of repeals and reinstatements.

Schizophrenics made it all the way up

Not explicit – hidden. That is, they are able to imitate mentally healthy people.

    Not always.

They surround themselves with their likes. The chance to get there mentally healthy people is negligible. Schizophrenics will destroy them. How to distinguish them from the mentally healthy?

The key is given in the Bible: “Judge according to their deeds”

Behind false words and convoluted semantics they hide their essence. They are not doing what they say… They are not aware of their defect. It seems to them that they are smart and very cunning.

They do not understand that this is not an intellectual fit, but an animal mimicry.

A truly intelligent person benefits himself not by harming others, but by using options in the implementation of which others also benefit.
