The swamp abides. The latest news media dumpster fire over President Trump’s phone conversation with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky is a three-way ruse. Ruse 1: deflect attention from the main issue, which is Joe Biden’s trolling for payoffs on his missions to foreign lands as vice-president, first Ukraine, where son Hunter was gifted a board of director’s chair and $50K-a-month salary with Ukrainian gas company Burisma, and then a $1.5 billion “private equity investment” to Hunter Biden’s wealth management fund from the state-owned Bank of China. Ruse 2: to deflect attention from the damage soon to be inflicted on the Deep State by the forthcoming DOJ Inspector General’s report on FISA court abuses. Ruse 3. To set in motion yet another obstruction of justice trap for Mr. Trump on the basis of false charges.
This comes at the instigation of Intelligence Community Inspector General Michael Atkinson, who was formerly senior legal counsel to John Carlin head of the National Security Division of the Department of Justice, deeply implicated in the FISA court matters of 2016 under investigation by federal prosecutor John Durham. Mr. Atkinson cited a complaint by an unnamed whistleblower who claims to have heard from a source that the President offered a quid pro quo to Ukrainian President Zelensky for reopening the Burisma case. The “whistleblower” may be Mr. Atkinson himself.
Of course, gaffe-prone Joe Biden spilled the beans on video earlier this year, when he bragged about shaking down Ukraine’s then-president Petro Poroshenko over a billion-dollar loan guarantee unless he fired the prosecutor investigating Burisma, which he did. Is there any ambiguity here?
The coordination between the news media and the Deep State is impressively blatant in this new gambit, with former acting FBI director Andrew McCabe (dismissed for cause in 2018), in his new position as a CNN “contributor” (while awaiting prosecution) teeing up a new “Trump collusion” narrative with The New York Times, WashPost, and NBC marching in step. In this new age of disinformation, narratives are the political weapon of choice in the campaign to harass and disable the winner of the 2016 election. The big play of RussiaGate failed, the play of “racism” is failing, so UkraineGate is next up.
It’s also obviously an effort to reenergize the impeachment operation in congress, badly botched so far by Jerold Nadler’s House Judiciary Committee. But it’s hard to imagine a better entertainment than an impeachment of Donald Trump in congress. Unless the Deep State wants to throw former President Obama under the bus, along with dozens of his associates (including Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Biden), they might be advised to call off that circus. A trial in the Senate, where the GOP runs the proceedings, would be an even better table-turner than the rousing climax of Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
I have a new theory about where the 2020 election is heading: if the Democratic Party candidate happens to lose, the party’s lawyers will unleash a blizzard of litigation in every voting district where the outcome was a couple of thousand ballots against them. It will be the 2000 “hanging chad” fracas on steroids and they will go so far as render the election inconclusive, therefore provoking the most parlous constitutional crisis since the start of the Civil War. In other words, they will dare to disable the republic.
Something or somebody will have to put a stop to these seditious turpitudes. The machinery of the law must be turned on the “resistance” and its operatives in the Deep State. Mr. Barr has the opportunity to do that. A globe of silence has enclosed his doings for many months. Impatient observers jump to the conclusion that the silence means he is doing nothing. I am not so sure of that. Given the purposeful hysteria ginned up so dishonestly in the press — and so injuriously to the actual public interest — don’t you suppose he would want to avoid tossing dynamite into that dumpster fire? By the same token, those actively stoking the dumpster fire are revealing their utter desperation. The unexpected consequence will be the suicide of the Democratic Party. But then people don’t necessarily get what they expect, they get what they deserve.

This dumpster fire of an election will make all of us a little crazy, but if the Golden Golem wins, the Democrats will totally lose it mentally. We will see lawsuit after lawsuit trying to nullify it.
By now its clear everything is going down but where does that leave the average person? Both parties are incredibly corrupt, our country is being lost to illegals, and people make less and less each year. Where does it end?
I’m not sure the illegals are actually any more illegal than you are. Does saying so make it so? Or does it just push an agenda. What does such a situation mean to you? Do you dare to say?

This is ironic in that Christianity is the fastest-growing religion in China.

Then support the president. He is not a traditional Repub, and he is not a globalist.
What other option is there? Either you bow to the globalist program and cut years off of your life in despair or you support a guy who beat incredible odds to take the reigns and attempt to preserve your country’s sovereignty.
I moved to Europe to get away from modern American life, am also a registered Green, and cannot figure out why anyone with an IQ above room temperature and a desire to preserve the US would not support Trump.
The globalist set is doing everything they can to remove him from office. If that doesn’t tell you something, I don’t know what will.

You may be looking for Biden to dissolve over his ties to Ukraine, but the meltdown in Ukraine that more people are paying attention to right now is the HBO limited series “Chernobyl,” which earned three Emmy Awards last night in addition to the seven it already won for technical categories.
As for actual failures on the campaign trail, the latest one so far is Bill de Blasio dropping out. Other than trying and failing to prove that the Mayor of New York City was a bigger deal than the Mayor of South Bend, Indiana, I’m not sure what the point of his campaign was. Maybe it really was just to raise his profile, as another reader here suggested. Meanwhile, I have drinks for candidates at the October Democratic debates to toast the survivors (so far) of what Stephen Colbert called “the hungry for power games.”

Agreed. JHK’s statement of the halls of justice will start prosecuting the deep state critters is not going to happen. We’ve been waiting for various critters to be prosecuted for years and nothing. It’s not going to happen for exactly the reason you stated. If they start with one then the can of worms is open for all.
It has to be exposed slowly. Some of us have known about many of the items revealed over the past 6-7 months for nearly 3 years now, but much of the general public still has no clue what is going on.
If Trump were to declassify FISA, etc., now, I still think much of the public would not be able to deal with it.
There will have to be criminal prosecutions in the end, as there is already too much info. out in the open. These are historic times we are living in.

Yes he most certainly is. As well as a very long time swamp creature himself. The only hope is if what he said in an interview this past Spring means that he’s in the mood to atone and deal a death blow to both the DS and Swamp. He said something along the lines of, “I’m at the end of my career and life so I don’t really care what people think of me.” That’s not a verbatim quote, but it is what he said in my own words to the best of my recollection.
Barr may be the only hope of restoring some semblance of a return to an earlier stasis. The old ones ‘at the end of their careers’ are the only hope for some honesty to restore the status quo. But this is only a temporary reprieve. The core is still rotten.

The Saudi oil production scare turned out to be pretty much a non-starter. For at least the 5th straight trading day in a row WTI is still around $58 per barrel. Cutting 5% of the world’s supply isn’t enough to spike prices to scary levels because global demand has been down for about a year now. That’s because economic activity has been declining, and we ain’t seen nuthin’ yet on that front.
The retail apocalypse rolls on. Just had another chain store closing in my hometown.
I agree the cut (maybe permanent?) of SA capacity is not an issue today but longer term, especially if the world decides to organically grow again, the loss of potential maximum oil output is an issue.

Well I see that different websites that track oil demand have differing numbers. I just remember hearing and reading quite a few times this past year that oil demand has leveled off and is declining. Maybe that’s true, maybe not. All I do know is that the scary predictions that oil would rocket to 100 dollars a barrel have proven to be untrue. It is just 2 dollars above what it was the day before the SA attack. This WTI prices. I don’t know about Brent admittedly.

The only major party that ever self-destructed were the Whigs. That’s because their campaign issue(s) were eclipsed by another more powerful issue. Are we witnessing another such scenario today? I don’t see it. What we have at present are two Americas, divided almost exclusively by the cultural divide. But if there is a serious economic contraction between now & Nov 6, 2020, then how can the Dems spin such an event? I am a independent voter and I worry what the Trump haters will do if he wins reelection. I believe they may harm themselves and others.
I can just as easily imagine the Trumpadumpas going on a violent rampage if Trump loses, which he could if the primaries give the nod to Warren or Sanders and the Dems are smart enough this time not to try stuffing the turkey sandwich (in this case, Biden) down the country’s throat. Both sides consistently underestimate how very divided and volatile the country is right now, cleaving to the fantasy that when “they” (presumably the swing voters) see how right about everything either Team Red or Team Blue really is, whichever side will enjoy a total landslide victory. The truth is, true swing voters are only about ten percent at most of regular voters (many of whom rarely vote in midterm elections), and that’s a generous estimate.

Have you read Kevin Rudd’s book? I haven’t, at least, not yet, but the reviews tell me that it’s a passionate defense of the globalist status quo. Rudd was Australia’s PM and as leader of that place would have been eyeball to eyeball with other national leaders and also the world’s business elite ie the .1 percent. The point is that he’s seen a thing or two and supped with the movers and shakers.
According to one review Rudd writes that the whole purpose of the rules-based international order was to protect the weak against the strong. In fact it’s the exact opposite, the whole point of the international order was to further enable the strong to prey upon the weak and to take away any remedies the weak had in protecting themselves.
The whole reason we see unrest right now in so much of the globe is because of the wrack inflicted by the rich and powerful. That’s the entirety of it. People like Rudd will denigrate the intellectual capacities of the malcontents and deride their supposed racism and xeno and various other “phobias”, but the net result of this globalist arrangement has been ruin on large swathes of people around the world, especially in North America and Europe but also in places like Hong Kong, where people are still going on rampages.
Bilateralism doesn’t work crow people like Rudd. And multilateralism, they say, is the way forward. Well, it’s all in the execution, the devil not only in the details but in the overall intent. And I would argue that you can divine intent from results. But regardless of intent, results are what matter. And the results are calamitous, not only from the micro perspective of individuals and families, but also overall. The numbers simply do not work, they are not even close and in their desperation to fix this horror show, they inflict NIRP. Which is preposterous.

Well put, but I don’t take that as proof of the general theory. Futurism isn’t well served by conventional wisdom. First and foremost, conditions change. Finca seems to believe in a world of nuclear fallout. Assuming world leaders aren’t so crazy, and millennials flip the political calculus in the next 5-10 years, and massive shifts in technology and lifestyle occur, the very meaning of “conservative” could shift so radically by, say, 2069, when today’s newly voting 18 year olds are 68, that the statement could be true then and now.
A “conservative” in 2069 would be carbon neutral- in fact everyone will be because externalities are all priced in by then. They would be decades long recipients of UBI which will change the nature of work, which will all become volitional rather than necessary. They would also be expecting to live to 2119 as life expectancy shot up radically. The whole nature of global commerce and trade would different- in the sense that there won’t be. Goods are produced locally via 3-d printing on demand, and recycling is essentially perfect. Life as an American (1 of 500 million) will be pretty good. The world won’t be on the Dollar as reserve currency, but a global e-currency. Computers will basically have souls and personalities, and cybernetically enhanced people will be walking around. Some of the boomers today will still be alive and pushing 120.
Wealth will rise globally and the basic market structure will still be in place. The less precise picture of social features is less distinct, but in general the overall tectonic shifts in lifestyle will transform value scales and behaviors in ways hard to quantify. For example, LGBTQI+ won’t be a preoccupation of anybody.
Politically the republicans and democrats will probably not exist, or perhaps become a different platform under the same name. They will fragment and be replaced by coalitions, but eventually, I have no doubt, we will elect and be ruled by artificial intelligence. To be conservative in today’s terms… in that future scenario? The Amish will be practicing the same lifestyle they always have. Those are, to my mind, the only real conservatives. As has been pointed out already, the books of the Bible were written by men, in the context of the cultures of the time. And men did seem, until very recent times, to have a problem getting their heads round female biology. Hence ‘unclean’.
Many people manage to consider themselves Christian without blindly believing everything in the Bible is literal truth, i.e. by accepting it was written by those fallible humans (men, more precisely) to whom SSL refers. It seems to cause fewer problems generally when they are able to do that.

That makes perfect sense…ask any older Irish woman, many of whom would often have two babies under 12 months. Two of my younger brothers are such ‘Irish Twins’ – one born in late December, and the next in late October…and that was the 1960s.

Yes, that would be a tempting interpretation (like the suggestion that pork was out of order because it was known to be full of parasites) but the notion that you’re twice as unclean if you’ve had a female baby rather gives the lie to that interpretation.
And in a sensible society, the woman should just be able to say ‘give me a break, Jo, me old lad, I’ve just had a baby, or hadn’t you noticed?’.
So I tend to think it probably grew out of the (negative) obsession with blood and sex. Both being something you should be wary of (back then), and both requiring cleaning up after (purification).

Women don’t all react the same to either menstruation or the menopause. I’ve known some who were in agony for two weeks every month, whereas I was absolutely fine my whole life. Same with the menopause, which I sailed through unaffected, as did my mother.
There’s no need to pathologise menstruation unless it’s actually doing girls harm. Keeping them out of school and/or forcing them to sleep in the shed are both harmful. Yet they happen. And they’re categorically not being done for the welfare of the girls.

In Hinduism, their various female saints are always given some name that is a variation of her being a manifestation of the divine mother. But male saints are given all sorts of names that might reflect their major talent. Adam named his wife “life” to honor her as the mother of all the living.
If God does not have gender, why is he considered male? Why do we have a father without a mother? Is this not a reversal of everything we know about life?
But answer this: Where is the female divine?
And what does it mean if it is absent?
As to the rib, there are a couple of possibilities, but one is that it was simply a coup to render women subject to the male beyond what nature would prescribe. In other words, the story is backwards. It seems kind of strained to have a male god give birth to creation and then have a male human give birth to his wife.

Humans cannot visualize the spiritual world. When God came to earth visiting and teaching, in the form of Jesus, He was using a medium that people, some people could understand. He identified the “Kingdom”, but did not go into much detail. Two gospel descriptions of Jesus’ contact with the spiritual world was the Transfiguration and the Ascension, both poorly described by the Gospel story tellers. The Catholic Church dealt with this with the apotheosis of Mary, the Mother of Jesus. A million years of watching human beings popping out of female bodies made the Mother figure divine all over the world. It is the great miracle of creation, over and over again. And women have the privilege of producing the new life, and men have the privilege of starting the process. Both sides divine in their creative power, and both together representing the power of God.

Author Naomi Kline has a new book out, she saying what I’ve heard other experts say the past week, that switching from fossil fuels to renewables will be easy, we just need the political will and courage to stand up to billionaires.
Kline was on PBS, nobody was asking her any tough questions. How easy will it be? One strange point in the interview is she was equating oil companies with White Supremacy. There are some tech people on this board, I ask you, is it simply a matter of unplugging fossil fuels, and plugging in wind and solar, to power up the United States? Apparently, according to many in the climate change movement, it’ll be pretty easy you just have to block traffic like demonstrators in DC did today.

Okay, look, why did Michael Mann sue Tim Ball in the first place? Because Ball publicly refuted Mann’s infamous hockey stick graph as being based on fraudulent science. What really seemed to spur Mann to file suit was when Ball one time joked that Mann should be in the state pen rather than at Penn State.
So essentially what this was all about was the hockey stick. Ball said it’s nonsense. Mann sued to make him retract and apologize. Ball said “No, show how you came up with the data to support the hockey stick”. Mann refused and delayed.

We had little choice because Canadian courts always grant adjournments before a trial in their belief that an out of court settlement is preferable. We agreed to an adjournment with conditions. I stand by my statement that Mann lost this case. But I should’ve been more precise in saying that his hockey stick nonsense lost this case because Mann had the opportunity to put up or slink away. He chose to slink away. If he’s so right about his science then he would’ve beat Tim Ball to a bloody pulp in court for all the world to see. Nope.
It’s interesting why Mann chose to sue Ball out of all the other scientists who have called into serious questing his hockey stick hokum. And there have been plenty.
Anyway, Mann is obviously opposed to free speech and real scientific debate. He has filed not a few lawsuits to shut people up who disagree with him. Even the ACLU joined an amicus brief opposing Mann’s tactics to squash debate and speech via legal tactics.

I have no axe to grind. No investments. Nothing depending on the truth one way or the other. Since there’s a 30-40-year lag in the introduction of extra CO2 to the atmosphere and the manifestation of resulting global warming, I’ll be dead before any additional CO2 from today makes any difference to anything.
So I’m just watching. And reading. And seeing comments on here from otherwise intelligent people makes me realise it’s a good thing I won’t be here. But my kids will and my grandchild, and other people’s children and grandchildren, so I’ll continue to take an interest.

Nope. Not at all. You can speculate all you like. And you can produce as much actual counter-evidence as you want. But I’m telling you that even a tiny increase in sea level will result in much more serious storm surges. Multiply the tiny increase in sea level by the square mileage of the water that’s whacking your coast and your oil refineries – it’s geometry for 10-year-olds. You can argue against it if you want to and speculate all you like.
But I promise to read your scientific papers even if they’re not peer reviewed.
And I’m nowhere near the Democrats. You’ll notice I didn’t specify any solutions because I like to wait until I’ve seen the likely results of the solutions thought through before I consider them actual solutions (e.g. hydropower is generally great but I’m aware you get more methane-producing algae in the water held back by the dam and it’s almost 30 times more potent as a greenhouse gas than CO2 – nature’s a bugger – so you need to do the sums).
But I’d respect people more if they just accepted the overwhelming message of the science but moaned about the proposed solutions, instead of arguing with the science when they don’t have any actual evidence to do so.
If you’re told you have a glioblastoma, as the husband of a friend of mine was, you know you’ve got a year, slightly more or slightly less. When comparing them side by side, men’s achievements stand out, and I don’t buy the feminist arguments that it is all the fault of men. I think now that women’s greatness is probably very different than men’s and not easy to discern. It may also come later in life. I don’t have the answer but have a glimmer. I think that men are more talented at focused intent but women have a higher philosophical wisdom that takes longer to ‘come together.’ It is a complex achievement and more subtle. It most often takes the form of holding out judgment for the reason of having an intuitive sense that there is more to the topic that is unknown or that the topic is highly complex. Fewer women seem to fall for atheism.
I don’t generally buy the feminist complaints that it is all men’s fault, but I do note, even here on this blog, a quick tendency to squelch the idea of women having any greatness. One doesn’t even hear about hydrogen powered vehicles any longer since it’s pretty much been proven that they’re net energy losers. How about electric cars? One of the ‘demands’ last week is that EVs replace gasoline powered vehicles by 2030. Can it be done? It was a battle that was lost once before when the Pope Electric Car factory shut down in Hartford in 1920. The Pope was a good car, Teddy Roosevelt owned one. Interestingly enough its range was about what Tesla’s is now, among other things relling me that battery technology hasn’t changed much in the past century. Right now EVs account for about 2% of vehicles on the roads of America. Would it be possible then in the next 10 years to replace the other 98% of gasoline powered vehicles?

Three things are directly in the way. The first and foremost is the price. Hybrids are $28-35000, gas sedans mid twenty’s and compacts $15-20000. So Tesla at $35-40000 is still not an Everyman vehicle and the Bolt and Leaf EV at around 30K are really affected by number two, convenience.
There are just not enough charging stations for convenient long distance trips. There was a documentary on Prime video about the trials and tribulations of two guys driving a Tesla from coast to coast.
The average Jill or John driver would find it impossible. The time it takes to recharge borders on inconvenient, 20 minutes for a partial and multiple hours for a full charge. Which leads to number three
The mileage between charging. Tesla is currently at 370 with extended batteries, which cost more. The less expensive cars go much less distance. And if you want to go uphill or turn your A/C on, you get less.
To replace the gas powered car, electrics must be priced near where a sedan costs, have short charging time and go what the average driver does in a day on the road, maybe 500 miles. Until the day when cost is a trade off and convenience is comparable, electric is going to stay at less than 5%.
Fighting electrics are the fossil fuels industry and the truck building industry. Powerful lobbies! The vroom vroom boys will never want the quiet of an electric car. So if short term conversion of the US to electric is necessary, it will have to be forced by law or by subsidizing the cost of the cars and the installation of electric chargers on every single overnight parking space in the country.
The number one voice championing electric is Elon Musk. He just announced a million mile lifetime Lithium battery for Tesla but has a long way to go to develop a car that is economically feasible.
One more issue, if the conversion of cars to electric drops the demand for oil below the economically feasible point for fracking, a trillion dollar industry make go right down the drain. What about all those other items we make with oil? Costs for plastics may go through the roof. All you Liberals that do not like higher consumer costs from tariffs have seen nothing yet compared to the institution of mandatory electric cars.
Oh yeah, I forgot. Where are we going to get the electrical generation capability to charge say 200 million cars. We cannot even handle the load today as witnessed by the blackout in NYC this summer.
Funny thing about capitalism, it ALWAYS finds the cheapest way of doing everything. So if electric cars become mandatory, get ready to get your wallet out.

Visited DC this last week. It really struck me, the difference in priorities between the East Coast and the flyover parts of the country. Mostly urbanization and demographics.
One example is electric cars. City folks use taxis, scooters, bikes, Uber to get around their environment. Electric cars themselves work better in urban environments. So folks in cities are more liable to not see the inconvenience of electric cars.
Another is the percentages of “ Brown and Black” folks in the East Coast cities. Plus, on the average, folks seem to coexist better. I believe segregated attitudes increase the further one travels from the urban environment. A look at the corridor from Boston to DC has urbanized so much. I would know as I was raised in Baltimore county. It is not a mystery why “racism” is reduced in the cities.
The West Coast is the same way, but different ethnic groups.
Cities versus suburbs and the rural areas, the real political schism of the country.
“Seem to get along better.” I saw a lot of really great And friendly Black folks, but saw a lot of nasty looks, attitude, from Blacks toward Whites. On the average though, not bad.

No. In fact there is no future for the current fleet. In the future you’ll summon the ride on demand. The vehicle will be driverless and electric and will l be manufactured by a major automaker.
Well, I’m exaggerating. Cars will remain a preoccupation of many, but with fuel costs roughly five times greater by end of decade there will be much less routine driving. The bulk of these taxes will have gone toward the rollout of the electrification effort.
All these features of life will be common. But for America and the world, a revival of sorts will be occuring in bicycling. These pedal assisted vehicles will begin appearing in greater numbers and configurations. Some will resemble cars. Many will be electrified.

For example the networking between autonomous vehicles will prevent collisions. Bikes would be taking to cars via small modules.
Of course bikes will rapidly begin to resemble cars with environmental protection, windshields, cabs, boots, etc. Things called “bikes” but having more than two wheels, pedals as a regulatory appendage, etc.
All the technology found in automobile sectors will be migrated to the new platform. The “power assist” will be adjustable to the degree where a frail 75 year old may only apply a slight pressure to the pedals when the electric motor supplies more than 99% of the power. People will understand these are essentially electric cars in diminutive form constructed from a bicycle architecture, and the whole pretense may be dropped. Advanced bicycles will self drive. The two wheelers will come with balance assistance.
But the fact is the commute will become very different. The roads will be safer with the NHTSA adopting universal traffic signaling and on road networking. You will be able to get in your bicycle and order Alexa to drive you to the Emergency Room.
I hate to break it to you, but here in Europe, nearly every 2nd senior in my hood rides an e-bike in clearly marked bike lane. And they do all of this without purchasing surveillance equipment from Amazon.

FREDERICK, Md. (WJZ) — The family of a 59-year-old man killed after being knocked out at the Great Frederick Fair Friday evening said their lives have been forever changed by his death.
John Weed, of Mount Airy, died at a hospital a day after two brothers, ages 15 and 16, attacked him after he refused to give them a dollar, prosecutors said.
“Our lives have been changed forever do [sic] to the unprovoked vicious attack these individuals inflicted on my brother John Weed,” his sister Lori Hawkins said in a statement to WJZ Tuesday afternoon.
Hawkins went on to say her parents, daughter and two grandchildren moved to Frederick County a year ago to live together, and Weed took on a number of day-to-day caregiving tasks for the family.
“We just wanted to spend time together as a family at the fair, but due to this horrible act of unprovoked violence my brother is now dead. There is no excuse for what these individuals have done,” she wrote.
Weed’s family has also set up a GoFundMe page to raise money to cover his funeral and legal bills. As of Tuesday afternoon, that page has raised more than $9,000.
On the GoFundMe page, Weed’s family said doctors at Shock Trauma were unable to save his life due to the severity of the brain damage he suffered.
“Late Saturday afternoon with his Mother, Father and sister by his side he passed away,” the page reads.
A judge ordered the teens be held in custody until their next court date on October 22.
Prosecutors have called the attack “completely random” and said there is no evidence it was racially motivated or part of the “knock out game.”

The detail that stands out to me is they asked him for a dollar.
That has happened to me twice in one day where I live. Once, being asked by two black kids under the age of 10 in a neighborhood that is historically white (seeing an increase in the black population here). They were pushing bikes and holding a basketball and asked first what I was eating, then, if they could “Have some”, when I said, “No” they asked why, which I said, “Because its mine” to which he says, “Well, then can I have a dollar?”
The other was a mixed race asian with a small yappy dog, who happens to be my neighbor. We had never met so when she asked me at the end of the encounter “For a dollar for the bus” my hand was already in my pocket without thinking. She’s seems a bit nuts but I like to know my neighbors. She’s got a suspicious eye and demeanor and I can’t fathom what may have happened to her in her life to make her that way. At any rate that was the experience.
In my town, asking strangers for a dollar is a commonplace event… for homeless people, which my town is full of. Observing them in public for extended periods of time revealed that, throughout the day, they are getting paid, for little more than sitting on the corner, looking pathetic. They are approached by passers-by who are bubbling over with compassion. I have calculated that, when they are “working” they are making $6 an hour. The population is loosely networked and they pool profits to buy fortified beer from the Korean mini-mart. When they are working (holding up their cardboard sign) they do indeed look like they are not enjoying it. Many of us don’t like our jobs, and there is some sincerity there. There may be some class solidarity there.
The dollar-dispensing do-gooders get rewarded with being able to believe in their own generosity. The bums get what they want which is to get plastered in the alley. It is a cycle.
What strikes me then is the asking for dollar seemingly percolating into a more general population- who are not homeless. Like the bums, I suspect they are doing this because it is successful. Based on my experience, they should be able to collect $6 an hour especially at a fairgrounds or a downtown area where foot traffic is high. The barrier is low; you simply have to make $1 in 10 minutes, you can ask 10 people in 10 minutes easily, and so, even a 10% success rate is likely.
I suspect the incident in question probably ended in violence because they guy made some sort of inciting statement. Like, “get a job” or some such. Well, let that be a lesson. Always shake your head and say, “Sorry.” Not “No,”, not “Get a job”, just “Sorry”, and make it the shortest interaction possible.
For some people though this is constitutionally impossible. They will always give a dollar because for them, feeling good is worth more than $1. And so the great epidemic of asking strangers for a dollar will continue.

Yet we are not expected to see the incredible bias of a so-called “diverse society” that does not include the diversity of opinions. In this society, the teachers tell us what is official truth, and then we go out into the world and find out that in fact life is far more complex than their simple world of absolute categories and universal rules.
Women are instructed to act like men, although deep down we all know or eventually and painfully figure out that men do not fall in love with these male-imitating women, even if they may find them sexually desirable in the short term due to the ease of acquiring sexual intercourse.
In the real world, men dream of finding the other: the alter ego, the complement, the soft side, the mystery that warms their hearts and gives peace to their minds. There is clearly a bug in the system if official truth does not resemble reality at all.
We have been trained like dogs to optimize our customer service skills in order to increase the profit of a company, yet we are not expected optimize our behavior for the benefit of our relationships, our society, and our people. Our society has forgotten that having a healthy demography is a prerequisite to the survival of our civilization, and that comes long before concerns about corporate profits and political stability.
In the past, people viewed themselves as members in an extended family known as “the folk.” They did not view their society through intermediaries like the economy or politics, but as a quest for this massive organism known as the folk to survive. Business served that goal, as did leadership, and people behaved out of concern for biological reality first and human systems second.
Having abandoned that for the magic of equality, and its handmaidens democracy and consumerism, we find ourselves on the highway to racial extinction. Some of us are trying to make a radical U-turn which is not only clumsy but also dangerous. Fast turns like that make us unstable, and most of us are trying to overcome that stability in order to steer clearly in the other direction.
Instead of putting your foot down saying, “I am the man, and I snore when I want to” — this is not incorrect, but incomplete — maybe you should tackle the beast by the throat: point out that the word “afterplay,” like so many other modern words, was invented by cultural marxists to create the idea of the woman’s right to a certain sexual choreography provided by the man.
It is designed to control us and steer us away from our natural instincts into a type of automatic obedience. This kind of subtle mind manipulation has been a tool of tyrants for centuries, and allows them to divide us by making the sexes alienated to one another in the West.
Think about new verbal creations such as: macho, chauvinist, toxic masculinity, feminist, career woman, working mom. Notice the negative or positive connotations of these terms which program us with expectations of certain behavior. For several decades, they have filed masculine men in a negative context and women demanding special treatment in a positive complex.
In the current time, we see from our movies, books, television, magazines, and social scenes that women should work toward the goal of being a working mom “who has it all” except for time for herself and more than two children. Biology teachers us however that three or more children is what we need to have a healthy demographic.
Coincidence? Once you see the pattern, you cannot unsee it any more. We are in the grips of a sneaky method of mind control that was only possible thanks to an ideological alignment of the mainstream media and our education systems. All of these people are Leftists, of course, and none of them have ideal lives, but they want to tell us how we should live, which turns out to just give more power to the Left.
Now that we have awakened, we are going to take our minds back. We can then reclaim our words and through that, redefine our behavioral patterns. In future of European survival I imagine the most positive terms as to be “mother,” “father,” “family,” “folk,” and “loyalty.”
Reclaiming our identity provides a solution to the problem of social decay. We can figure out who we are, then how to be who we are, and then reprogram ourselves toward biological survival and excellence instead of the decay that modernity brings to us, starting with its ruthless destruction of the family.
In this new age, terms like “social justice warrior,” “soy-boy,” “cuckservative,” “feminist,” and, last but not least, “traitor” will designate the people who end up in a future Hall of Shame, if not in prison or perhaps on boats to third world countries where they can enjoy the type of society they wanted to force upon us.

Just read the latest IPCC report on AGW. The modeled forecasts are becoming more dire, instead of 2 degrees by 2100 they are now forecasting 3.5 or more, saying it is accelerating. Okay, accept that.
They also said only a couple of countries are approaching their goals of reducing CO2 emissions with most continuing to increase.

This was the IPCC report I reported on. They are simply saying that in spite of the alarms going out, not much is happening. Which is true.
For most of Earth’s geological history atmospheric CO2 has been at or greater than 1,000 ppm. This is so whether the Earth was in the midst of ice ages or in ages where tropical rainforests reached into the polar regions. Technically the modern age has occurred in the midst of a CO2 famine. It’s simply foolish IMO to believe that the Earth will end because CO2 increases to 400 or 450 ppm. Habitat destruction and pollution/trash in general seem to me to be our biggest environmental issues. Oh, and the fact that most of our big cities are literally becoming public restrooms.

There are actually very well credentialed climate scientists who’ve made a pretty good argument that right now we have a dearth of CO2 compared to previous historical norms. CO2 has nothing to do with warming of the planet.
The gentleman that JHK recently interviewed, Dave Collum, is going to write a paper this fall on the subject of “catastrophic climate change”. I’m sure he’ll touch on the subject of CO2. He’s doing a lot of research currently. I look forward to it.

The problem, contrary to Liberal thought , is not the destruction of the world.
It is the deconstruction of the world AS WE KNOW IT. Stability of the geo politics is a primary goal of most of the world’s government, ie the maintenance of power.
Climate change is destabilizing as primary zones of arable land, for example, are going to shift position. Huge areas of land may become able to be farmed, while others may dry up. The primary problem is the unknown, what is going to happen. This is my main point, we need to adjust and understand how to adjust.

I agree with you John. I don’t think we have actually done enough as a society to prepare. So many things could happen its very foolish for us to just worry about warming. Just think about how vulnerable our infrastructure, including the electric grid is.

If CO2 has to be at 300 ppm, why do plants start to become happy at 1200 ppm? What conditions did they evolve under?
Isn’t funny that CO2 levels have varied by a factor of 25 times, over long epochs, and then in one tiny blip of a moment, late 1800s I guess, we learned to measure it, and now we are convinced that that measurement is the only acceptable one!
How low is too low? I have read about 180 ppm is when plant start to die. At the end of the last glaciation it was getting scary close to that. Now we ought to be due for another glaciation. What if, without our addition of CO2 to the environment, we ended up in an extinction event from lack of CO2? There have been only two times in 600 million years that CO2 levels were that low.
II’m still trying to figure out how the Ice Age ended around these parts 20,000 years ago, when where I sit right now was under 1000 feet of ice and snow, without scores of teenage girls out marching in the streets protesting cold weather, glaciers, and snowstorms.

I thought it was a good speech too from the pieces that I had an opportunity to listen to. Now I wish he would simply expel the UN from NYC and from our borders completely. We’ll see. I’m sensing a shift in the wind right now though. The one hundred senators who voted that Trump should release the transcript is pretty big tell for me. There may be a reason that we don’t yet know why the GOP may have decided that they need to cut their losses and throw Trump overboard.

Edit to Add: I just now read the released phone transcript and I have to say that I don’t see what the crime is, yet anyway. Is there another call in which Trump was supposed to have hinted that the US will withhold pledged money for Ukraine’s defense if the new President doesn’t cooperate with the “investigation of Biden’s son”. It certainly wasn’t in this transcript.
So far the only American threatening to withhold funds from Ukraine — and admitting to it in a speech to the CFR — is Vice President Biden. He was proud of it.

I’m going to go way out on a limb of speculation:
What if Pelosi, Schumer, Obama, and the DNC have decided that they have got to make Biden go away. As in now, before the primaries ramp up. So they make this big deal about going after Trump making this phone call to the new President of the Ukraine knowing full well that it will also shine light on Biden. Are you starting to follow my thought here?
It will in a sense kill two birds with one stone. First it will show the Dem Base that the leadership is willing to stick to Trump by opening up an inquiry of impeachment. Second it will expose Biden’s corruption and make him withdraw from the race so they can then get the one they really want nominated. Fill in the blank as to who that is. But they don’t want Biden for obvious reasons. Reasons as in quite a few.
And so far no one has been able to convince Biden to step aside because he’s so stubborn and full of himself. Obama did convince him not to run in 2016. So now he’s probably dug in his heels and says, “Fuck no I’m not stepping aside this time!” So, they have to “Watergate” him. Or in this case, “Ukraine gate” him. Watch and see if the media’s treatment of Biden changes here pretty soon.
Well my limb of speculation snapped and I fell. I had to really catch up on what the hell Biden was doing in trying to get that prosecutor fired in Ukraine. I found out that Obama wanted that too, so the Dems would not want to get attention on this story.

Zelensky was trying to find out when he was going to get the military aid that Congress had voted on, but was being held up at Trump’s behest while he railed on about how much money the US was spending, relative to others. So he was ‘reviewing’ the aid grant and leaving Zelensky swinging in the wind. Then he just happened to ask for a favor, just after he’d pointed out that all this US aid was ‘unreciprocated’.
We don’t even have to read BETWEEN the lines – it’s as plain as th nose on your face. Those who say they ‘can’t see much of anything in it’ are suffering from their own special form of TDS.

Continuing the previous post: Impeachment for the Aesop Language as a Victory for Trump and a Trap for Pigs
So the Speaker of the House, controlled by Democrats, Nancy Pelosi announced the beginning of the impeachment procedure of President Trump, and the first thing that comes to my mind in this regard is that Hillary seems to have finally destroyed the bipartisan political system of the United States for good.
Now having a single voice majority in the House of Representatives, one party can impeach a president who belongs to another party.
Which makes the bipartisan system absurd and paralyzes state administration once and for all.
Hillary no longer needs to stage a coup d’etat, the failure of which will make the Democratic Party a gang of conspirators, and success a gang of war criminals and grave diggers of humanity.
The bipartisan political system of the United States is already paralyzed and either it will become one-party under the wise leadership of Donald Trump, or a third party should appear – let’s call it provisionally the “Common Sense” Party – which will be comparable in influence with the Republicans and Democrats and without whose votes none the other two parties will be able to make political hara-kiri, similar to what Nancy Pelosi did last night.
And I must say that on this subject there are two theories that explain what happened:
1. Nancy Pelosi didn’t do it quite voluntarily, but under the pressure of party comrades like Hillary-Bastinda, the Great and Terrible. And this theory is confirmed in the speech that Nancy Pelosi rolled up, declaring impeachment to Trump.
The fact is that in a normal society, the president first commits a crime, and then lawmakers, outraged by this crime, begin the impeachment process.
In America, which passed through the skillful hands of Hillary Clinton, the opposite is true – at first some of the legislators decided to impeach President Trump, and then they began to look for a crime for which he could be impeached.
All this is somewhat unnatural, and that is why Nancy Pelosi resisted Bastinda and The Squad for so long, refusing to start the impeachment procedure.
But apparently Trump’s telephone conversation with Zelensky drove her into a trap, giving the impression that the crime had been found. But, realizing how misleading this impression is, Nancy Pelosi, unable to withstand the pressure of her party comrades, purchased a little insurance policy and from her speech it is impossible to understand why she was impeaching Trump: for trying to get compromising dirt on Biden from Zelensky or for refusing to provide Congress, having equal rights with the president, the report of the whistleblower, which I spoke about in a previous post.
And in this duality lies the possibility of many excuses if impeachment does not go the way you want. And that is why Nancy Pelosi began her speech with the anniversary of the Constitution on the 17th of September, then moved on to the second reason for impeachment, and finished with the first.

2 The second theory is that all this mess with Zelensky is a trap prepared by Trump for the Flying Monkeys, who rushed headlong into it, like a herd of pigs into the water, after demons whose name is Legion entered them.
And an hour ago, Trump slammed the door of this trap by publishing a verbatim record of his conversation with Zelensky, which is not a transcript of the electronic record of this conversation and there are completely legitimate parts of the conversation that he shouldn’t publish yet – for example, a discussion in Minsk-2 agreement, – but it will be possible to do this after the whistleblower and those who stand behind her publish their transcript.
And they, as you should have guessed already, have a complete record of this conversation, but also do not want to publish what will put them up on a stage without pants and underwear.
According to this verbatim report, Trump speaks about Biden and threatens to deprive Ukraine of help if it does not provide him with incriminating evidence, but he makes it in such an Aesopian language that no court, at least somewhat impartial, can see anything in Trump’s words, besides concern about corruption in Ukraine and regret that Biden tells how he managed to plunge into this corruption and was so stupid that he did it publicly.
Meanwhile, Biden, who dismisses Ukrainian Attorney General Shokhin thanks to the whistleblower, is already standing on the podium without pants and underwear and Republicans with undisguised gloating recall that this story was published in 2015 by Hillary Clinton, when Biden was thinking: “Should I become a rival to Hillary in the primaries.”
In general, you could forget about Biden as a rival to Trump in the elections and in the upcoming television debates, again manipulated by Hillary with rare shamelessness, despite this important circumstance, Biden will demonstrate exactly the above-described fashion and his rivals will not fail to note this.
And half an hour after the publication, Trump polished the impression made by publishing of the transcript, with video footage of Nancy Pelosi’s speech about Bill Clinton’s impeachment, in which she angrily condemns what she is doing now.
And I really hope that he will not force us to look at an elderly woman standing on the podium in the suit in which the former US vice president Joe Biden will be standing on the next TV debate.

CO2 is a molecule whose bonds have a resonant frequency of the frequency of infrared, ie heat energy. It absorbs and stores heat. Another carbon molecule, CH4, has more bonds that absorb and store heat. Your SF6 has the same type of bonding but with more electro negativity which may mean more heat stored. My guess is that anything with Carbon as its central atom is a potential trap for heat.
Plastics are carbon based. Does the breakdown of plastics cause CO2 pollution in the oceans and the air, I do not know but wouldn’t be surprised. FYI carbon is the atom of life, the more life the more carbon.

I agree with you,JAZ, however I think there is plenty of welfare being doled out at the upper end of the spectrum as well. I’ve never had a problem with people enjoying the fruits of their labor, however there are people who profit from influence peddling, buying favorable legislation, and all of the other unsavory activities practiced by the ruling elite. Those are the people that the Republicans are apologists for, which I can’t understand at all.
In the past, when the Democrats actually represented the blue collar workers, there was some hope that the Oligarchs could be kept at bay. However, with the vanishing of our industrial base, the blue collar middle class is swirling down the drain with nothing for our kids to hope for. It’s all there to be seen, you just have to open your eyes. There will always be some people who will do well in the blue collar world, but the opportunities that were there in the past decades, have vanished. I always knew that when the third world learned to manufacture, we were gonna be in trouble. The only thing the wealthy have allegiance to is money, and whatever keeps them in the position to make more.

I don’t know how much that would apply. Female fertility is massively reduced (but not eliminated) by breastfeeding, which was pretty universal back them. It was even one of the points brought up during the first Nestlé scandal, where the company were marketing baby formula in places where (a) there wasn’t clean water and (b) breastfeeding for two years was a major contributor to birth control, which helped the poorest women and families, in the absence of affordable but more reliable methods.

What a crock. Two possibilities, one, that the whistleblower is a figment of the collective, very desperate, Democratic leadership. I think that reality is hitting the Left that their Brown push is not working and is inflaming mainstream America to back GGG. Think about that statement. He is saying that these senators would vote down the people’s choice if their voters could not know who they are. What a statement of the goals of the Deep State, to disenfranchise the voters and give power to the Federal Government.
