It begins to look like The USA will litigate itself into Civil War Two with the first battle being half the lawyers in the Department of Justice prosecuting the other half until Anthropogenic Global Warming puts the DC Swamp completely underwater and all parties concerned scuttle off into the deep blue sea.

It was rather a shock to see the photo lineup of all those familiar faces — Comey, Hillary, McCabe, Loretta Lynch et. al. — in the criminal referral “matters” sent over to the DOJ by congress on Wednesday, as if they were some mob of goombahs caught running a waste management kickback racket in the Hackensack mud-flats. But the evidence trail has been in plain sight for more than a year that Justice Department officials of various ranks and stripes colluded to bring off a legalistic coup d’etat against the loathed and despised winner of the 2016 election — with a little help from (of all things and personae) Russia, as in that political smallpox blanket known as the Steele Dossier.

Mixed metaphors aside, it looks like all the clones of Ricky Ricardo and Lucy engineered in some CIA black lab will never satisfy the amount of ’splainin’ that needs to be done, and that the ensuing trials may last longer than the lifetimes of millennials still struggling on campus with their gender presentation. There may be even more line-ups to come. I’m thinking players like Susan Rice, the Podesta brothers, Huma Abedin, John Brennan, James Clapper, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, and perhaps the gentleman who preceded the Golden Golem of Greatness in the oval office. This melodrama will make The Lord of the Rings look like a knock-knock joke.

Meanwhile, the Republic actually whirls around the drain, both as a legitimate polity between Montauk Point and the Farallon Islands, and as an actor on the world stage. The Washington bureaucracy is not the only swamp that needs to be drained. There’s also the reeking Okeefenokee wasteland known as the US economy, led by its financial avatars on Wall Street who engineered the orgy of asset-stripping that chewed through the industrial states like some flesh-eating bacteria.

There is nothing left in Flyover-land. I drove through part of it yesterday on a book-reporting chore: the “quiet corner” of northeastern Connecticut south of Worcester, Mass, a valley of decrepitating mill towns and opiate addiction, like some place out of H.P. Lovecraft’s demon-haunted imagination, where the sun comes up twenty minutes later than anywhere else, and a dwindling population of malevolent diseased imbeciles shriek their lonesome agonies of failure and destitution to a God that never returned from lunchbreak one day in 1985. Their parting shot to an unjust world was voting for Donald Trump. Next time, they won’t even be around.

Anyway, Trump may emerge briefly from his triumph over the Swamp-led coup-d’etat only to find himself in his fated other role as designated bag-holder for the next crack-up of the banking system. At least he’ll be in his natural element: bankruptcy, presiding over the biggest ruined casino the world has ever seen. Who will bail America out then? Hint: the Federal Reserve is out of tricks — except maybe turning the US Greenback into a Bazooka Joe comic. That act of this national Grand Guignol awaits in the second half of 2018.

Meantime, my head is still reeling from the shenanigans in Syria last week. How many of our missiles were shot down exactly? I’m not too confident we’ll ever get a straight answer about that from the generals. Nor why they decided to blow up a suspected chemical weapons factory which, you’d think, would disperse a residue cloud of chemical weapons all over the Syrian landscape — and since that didn’t happen, was it actually a chemical weapons factory at all? And what of the shockingly credible claims from many quarters that there was no chemical weapons attack on Syrian civilians in any case? Judging by the front-page of The New York Times today, that nearly world-ending incident has already been shoved down the memory-hole.

Putting “the DC Swamp completely underwater” might be a good alternative to draining it!

It’s inhabitants may be dragged by an irresistible current to flail forever among the floating Pacific garbage patch, to have plastic straws impaled in their noses, like helpless turtles, and improperly disposed of plastic six-pack rings tying their fingers together to prevent them pulling them out.

Dust to dust, detritus to detritus…

      • Sticks-of-TNT April 20, 2018 at 10:44 am #

        Excellent!

P.S. Sadly, the Pacific garbage patch GA references actually exists.

      • Tate April 20, 2018 at 11:42 am #

Yes, it’s a new island, one that Gulliver might have discovered. Its native fauna, mutant marine iguanas, hermit crabs, and inverted sea anemones, come in a wonderful variety of ‘colors.’ LOL.

        • GreenAlba April 20, 2018 at 12:34 pm #

You can’t fly there from La La Land, though, Tate, so you’ll have to take your holidays somewhere else 🙂 .

          https://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/science/2018/03/22/great-pacific-garbage-patch-grows/446405002/

And which country is it that has only 5% of the world’s population but produces 50% of its solid waste? That’s right – it’s La La Land.

But very few of its inhabitants know that, and even fewer of them care.

The land where anything goes and nothing matters. When they learned to throw things ‘away’, nobody told them what ‘away’ was going to look like and what it would take to clean it up.

          • Tate April 20, 2018 at 1:07 pm #

It’s an Exceptional island. As befitting its genesis, it cannot be criticized. You can expect it to laugh off all pissant complaints.

Soon enough the wretched refuse will seek its teeming shores and be turned back to their own teeming shores.

      • Janos Skorenzy April 20, 2018 at 1:58 pm #

Have you read Lovecraft? You’ll never understand America – and our desperate struggle against both Nature and the lower races – until you do. The essence of it is internal: the struggle not to be dragged down by the Alien, be they Indian, Black, or the Demonic, either “within” or “without”. And obviously engaging in sexual congress with an inappropriate entity, be they succubus or incubus, or vaguely human, is to become “one flesh” with them, and is a most profound Fall of Man.

        • Ol' Scratch April 20, 2018 at 6:29 pm #

LOL! You actually sound like you believe this crap, Janos! No doubt some of them say the same thing about us.

Exactly. We’re incompatible. You’re learning at last.

And you and everyone else that post snide arrogant shit for brains incorrigibly belligerent teenage comments like this are among the ones your making such comments about. In fact if and when the shooting starts you and your ilk chances are will be picked off first.

  2. Walter B April 20, 2018 at 10:03 am #

A Civil War with lawyers fighting it out on both sides? Wow, I’d pay to see that one. You are proposing an actual solution to the problem of the legal morass that has America sucking swamp water. In the end, of course, they will never lift their maws up from feeding upon US long enough to even think about attacking each other.

A great question Jim on what exactly the whole Syria “thing” is. A prelude to seriously bad escalating global war, or simply a playing out of a deception where we shoot our ordinance into the air, they shoot it down, and then we both buy more for profit.

BTW, I just listened to your latest interview and I have to say that besides the fact that the entire event was great listening, I have never heard a more level headed, intelligent discussion on the firearms control issue. If this could be broadcast on a national level there might actually be some hope that an intelligent solution could be worked out. I will not hold my breath. Thank you again sir, well done on all accounts!

          Using our weapons…

        • Walter B April 20, 2018 at 1:14 pm #

I understand that there is little to nothing that constituents can do that those in power will listen to GA, but when those who rule are admonished in a civil manner they think it is flattering and keep on as if they have passed the right to be uncorrected and incorrigible, content that they are feared and that no one dares to reproach them. Writing or calling is a total waste of time, for the corrupt are only influenced by an angry individual in their face or better yet, an angry crowd. Until such resistance is assembled and presented in their faces, resistance will remain futile.

            Walter,
You must show them the GREEN. Or possibly the Pitchforks. Reason has left the country, as demonstrated by the inane, bloody ramblings of one Nikki Haley, who, for some reason unknown to me, constantly gets away with upstaging her boss, while others with lesser offenses are fired.

Why not the “grand guignol” of financial collapse in the first half of 2018.
Of course, we don’t know “when”, but for sure there is no “if”. The pressures of rising interest rates are building.

    • JohnAZ April 20, 2018 at 10:43 am #

Number one rule to protect oneself from higher interest rates, reduce or eliminate debt load. Something the Deep State forgot about! The Elite always wins. We enrich them every time we buy something with debt, and we lose. Middle Ages, here we come, aka WMBH.

      • Walter B April 20, 2018 at 8:56 pm #

Ca ching, ca ching, eliminate debt! The number one, damned near guaranteed way to break the chains of bondage and free those that slave for wages from oppression! Most will not be able to do so or even try, but it is our obligation to remind them that walking into the cage makes you a volunteer pet or slave, the owners shall choose. It is a shame that Arizona and New Jersey are so far apart John. We could be dangerous if we were to be put together in the same place at the same time. Be well, God Bless.

  5. Ol' Scratch April 20, 2018 at 10:14 am #

Truly inspired writing today, Jim! Best in recent memory. For those paying attention, the recent and ongoing Syria fiasco plainly reveals the utter bankruptcy of American foreign policy and military projection capabilities. Both of those old nags are now at death’s door and ready to be shipped off to the pet food factory. Let’s hope it happens soon.

Meanwhile, the whole 2016 election caper fiasco – meant to be nothing more than a diversionary smoke screen for the existentially real problems we face – is now running out of steam as well, even when judged solely on its tawdry, afternoon muckraking TV merits alone.

…This melodrama will make The Lord of the Rings look like a knock-knock joke.

I just logged in to agree. Gave me a belly laugh. OTT blast to read. What’s the secret JHK? Have you been tweaking your mitochondria again? Yes we are doomed. Let’s die laughing. Long life and good health Jim.

  6. Dumbedup April 20, 2018 at 10:22 am #

They allied themselves against Trump because he was an outsider. He had not been pre-indoctrinated by the political process, and he refused to agree as to what he could and could not do before he was elected. He was an interloper they feared they could not control so they attacked him. But as the recent events in Syria shows he CAN be controlled. He can be coerced, manipulated and sold just like the shyster real estate mogul he likes to tout himself as to Forbes Magazine by impersonating his own staff.

Whether you like him or not he is resisting the permanent state and he may actually win that battle with the DOJ and FBI. But he does not understand history, international events and geo-political policy and he has not shown he can or will think on his own going forward. That is partly controlled by the Russia investigation. He knows he cannot be perceived as friendly or cooperative with Putin and Russia.

I think this will be the tone of his Presidency for the next 2 years. Of course, I am assuming the US will make it over the next 2 years.

    • thenuttyneutron April 20, 2018 at 10:36 am #

After the fireworks show in Syria a week ago, I am left wondering how many times can we do that before the bear pinches back with their hypersonic anti-ship missiles.

The way I see it, Russia either overstated their capabilities or they are afraid of the situation getting out of control and escalating to a nuclear exchange.

Congress stands by and does nothing about the illegal use of the Military to wage an undeclared war on another sovereign country. I wonder if they will finally do something about it if Russia were to arrange a meeting of our ships with the Roman navy at the bottom of the Mediterranean sea.

      • Dumbedup April 20, 2018 at 11:58 am #

        Spot on.

The US has engaged in illegal and immoral actions in other countries for decades, and we are currently killing women and children in Yemen with our ally Saudi Arabia. But we are suddenly outraged by the alleged use of chemical weapons and justify our attack by claiming Assad has broken international law and has to be removed from power?? The rush to judgment was immediate and precipitous, and there is evidence of German and UK supplies (smoke bombs and chlorine) in Doumas where the alleged attacks took place.

Somebody please tell me again. Who, exactly, are the criminals?

There is an interview on “Morning Joe” with a fellow by the name of Jeffrey Sachs. He is a Columbia University Full Professor with great credentials. He decimates the US policy in Syria. (and elsewhere)

It is worth looking up on Youtube.

        • Janos Skorenzy April 20, 2018 at 2:04 pm #

Crazy Joe and dumb as a rock Mika were all for the strike along with almost everyone else. The Media is owned by the Criminals.

      • Ol' Scratch April 20, 2018 at 1:13 pm #

The way I see it, Russia either overstated their capabilities or they are afraid of the situation getting out of control and escalating to a nuclear exchange.

I think it’s the latter, so much so that I think it likely that there was some sort of coordination going on behind the scenes – maybe even clear down at the military theater level – to make sure that this little tit for tat public relations exposition remained just that. I doubt anyone in either military – below the rank of general at least – wants to see things get out of hand, since they know that they’ll likely be the first to die.

        • Dumbedup April 20, 2018 at 2:35 pm #

It’s probably a little of both.

But so much of this is Kabuki Theater it is hard to see the truth. That is one area in which the permanent state is supreme – obfuscating.

I am 64 years old. When I look back at the 50s, 60s and 70s – even the 80s – it surprises me that we have survived so many miscalculations.

          • Ol' Scratch April 20, 2018 at 6:31 pm #

            No doubt!

    • Janos Skorenzy April 20, 2018 at 2:02 pm #

Well apparently somebody on our side did their best not to hit anything important. So maybe their is a saner head or two. Trump may be one of them – but yes, he’s afraid to stand up to them toe to toe. They have the Media after all – and that trumps everything in a “democracy”.

    • MontanaMan April 21, 2018 at 1:15 pm #

The US will make it. I always laugh, laugh at such snide pompous ass comments.

  7. sprawlcapital April 20, 2018 at 10:27 am #

Out here in the middle earth of flyover country, central Iowa, the economy perks along nicely, feeding mostly on what could be called an outdoor factory. That factory employs lots of workers operating heavy construction machinery, and consumes as its raw material some of the best land on earth. That land is converted to junk development at a rate so fast that it seems there must be a deadline to meet. The cheerleaders in the media take delight in all this destruction.

Also big in the central Iowa economy is finance and banking. Wells Fargo has a massive presence here. They are the gang of thieves recently fined a billion dollars for cheating people.

The other outdoor factory in Iowa, of course, is the farming enterprise: a toxic chemical-applying, fossil fuel-consuming, GMO-planting fiasco.

    Such is our economy now.

    • JustSaying April 20, 2018 at 12:09 pm #

Bees and insects are dying at an alarming rate and soon there will be very limited pollination.

      • Janos Skorenzy April 20, 2018 at 2:06 pm #

The bees are still Ok in the cities from what I can see. So if the destruction in the farmlands ceases, they should be able to recolonize it in time.

        • Walter B April 20, 2018 at 2:29 pm #

Out here in the West Jersey woodlands the honey bees have been taking it in the shorts for years. Many of the hives have died off even with efforts to repopulate them. Sitting on my deck on a mountainside far from any fields or places normally frequented by honey bees, I have the little buggers land on the side of my cedar house and wander about aimlessly. They seem very disoriented and never have pollen sacks with anything in them.

          • GreenAlba April 20, 2018 at 3:14 pm #

I live about 25 mins’ walk from the centre of town and have been living in this block of Victorian flats since 2002. Every year around this time a queen bee comes around our back door in the corner of the garden looking as if it’s looking for something.

Obviously it’s not the same one, but my husband reckons he read that the colony memory of bees is phenomenally long and that there must have been a nest here before the flats were built in about 1890. If it’s not fanciful, it’s amazing.

It’s quite sad to see her looking to no purpose.

They’re amazing creatures. I read once that if they all died, we’d be gone 4 years later. Let’s hope that’s fanciful.

          • Janos Skorenzy April 20, 2018 at 6:46 pm #

Really? Are you in an agricultural area or are there other kinds of spraying?

          • JohnAZ April 20, 2018 at 10:58 pm #

There is a pesticide, I do not remember the name, that hits their nervous system and causes disorientation. Sounds like the symptoms you mention. I have noticed another large bee killer, swimming pools. Here in the desert, water is a premium for all life. Bees try to get a drink by landing on the pool and the chlorine gets them.

          • JohnAZ April 20, 2018 at 11:01 pm #

Another factor out here is that when a bee swarm is noted, it is assumed they are Africanized. These aggressive bees are taking over a lot of territory and if we believe in nature’s powers of adaptation, they will hybridize themselves across the USA. Hope they lose their cussedness.

The Long Emergency will come on but slowly, in steps. The reaction to the downsteps will be lots of wailing as people find out there is no solution. A large step downward will be when the big social net programs take giant downward plunges because there is no revenue to fund them and people actually want some of their money back from the debt in response. Along with Social Security will be huge reductions in all those pension plans when their underfunding becomes obvious. Again, the populace will hit their bond funds where their is no money, just a house of cards. A significant downturn in the economy will start and over a period of decades erode down to WMBH. We are the leader of the world, economically, so we will be hit the hardest. But the rest of the world will ultimately share the same fate.

And you think you see illegal immigration now. Just wait! We are going to spend some of our last national capital on building walls everywhere trying to keep the international parasites from stealing our “national nest egg”. Do not worry about politics by then, both parties will self destruct in answer to all the enraged voters when neither side has no answers. The popular apathy will no longer exist as people start to starve. The dissolution of the US as localization starts to occur will begin in earnest. Why? Because there will be no reason for cohesion as all the phony patriotism erodes away.

Pretty grim, but challenge the scenario with any positives. What can reverse the trend that I do not see? The Swamp will not just float away, it will be blown up by a furious public. The Swamp is the accelerator but ultimately history will put the blame on the Mob, i.e. Us.

And I have not even mentioned Peak Oil.

Oh, the possibility that there was Russian collusion to help Hillary in the election is just too delicious for words, although I can hardly fathom why any Russians outside of treason would do so – unless all her saber rattling was just smoke and they knew it. It’s so hard to say when people out of touch with reality and things like consequences are in charge.

And maybe the missiles sent to Syria were just war games meant to find out how our missiles and their antimissile defense systems will perform in real life.

Sort of like bombing Nagasaki and Hiroshima…

    • JohnAZ April 20, 2018 at 10:49 am #

The atomics were dropped as a shock treatment. Tokyo was destroyed by fire bombing more than Hiroshima or Nagasaki. Proxy wars are always fought to check out one system against another. I do not think we have a clue what really happened in Syria, but I notice a distinct lack of bravado from either side. Who the hell knows what “Mission Accomplished” means when no one knows what the mission was?

Mission Accomplished means at $11B per stick, those that sold the ordinance to our government are rolling in piles of profit as they assemble the replacements…

Another week another miss on the big story…the inexorable slide from democracy to oligarchy. Instead a dreary view of the effects, but not the cause of our situation. No mention of tax breaks for the rich, stacking federal courts for the rich, moves on supressing the vote, taxing capital gains differently from regular income, the reported gathering of the libertarian donor tribe in Chicago to plot how to keep control of d c , on and on. Remember warren Buffett….” there is a class war and my side is winning”

Amen. I’m not worried about the Dept of Justice doing their duty. I’m worried about the Koch Brothers and their hand-selected whore candidates and their corporatist school privatization plans and their friends at ALEC in 50 States accelerating the shift of this country’s wealth into the pockets of the 0.1-percenters, at the expense of the rest of us.

If we’re looking for a swamp to drain, start with those swine.

It comes from both sides. Koch Bros. on the right, Rockefeller, Soros, Rothschild on the Left. They all have the same goal, global takeover. The Deep State is comprised of both sides. I would like to see a link proven between Koch Bros and the Leftists, we as voters would know who the real enemies are.

Looking at Reddit.com will tell you that it is now received wisdom among urban coasties that anything that contradicts the official narrative is all the work of “Russian bots and trolls”. Such a level of narrative-management would have done Senator Joseph McCarthy proud. This is probably the saddest outcome of the “kabuki warfare” in Syria.

    • Ol' Scratch April 20, 2018 at 1:26 pm #

Excellent observation. “We’ve come along way baby!”, as the old cigarette commercial used to go, since the days of Ol’ Joltin’ Joe McCarthy and his pal Tricky Dick Nixon.

    • Janos Skorenzy April 20, 2018 at 2:09 pm #

McCarthy was a hero. He was only wrong in Underestimating the level of Communist infiltration. I mean look at our Universities. Think that happened overnight? It’s been coming for generations.

  14. volodya April 20, 2018 at 10:59 am #

    Shoved down the memory hole…

and no doubt you’ve noticed the Winston Smiths of the “respectable” main-stream media making shit up and telling us daily that Americans living in the desolate remnants of Fly-over country “feel” left behind because their incomes “stagnated”, and telling us that these attitudinally and intellectually deficient people are “uncomfortable” with change.

As if re-writing history ie lying about what happened, changes the FACTS.

Because, no matter if we’re talking human history or physics, facts are exceedingly stubborn things. Re-writing history to put malefactors in a better light or to deny their actions doesn’t in the slightest change what they did or the results on the ground.

It’s like saying the WW2 mass-murder of Jews is fiction or dismissing it as Le Pen did as a “detail” of history. Minimizing or denying doesn’t obviate the eradication of European Jewry. Denying camera footage, tons of documentary evidence and eye-witness accounts doesn’t make them re-appear in Europe as a living polity.

Similarly, minimizing the demolition of the US economy or attributing it to vast impersonal forces or denying it altogether doesn’t remove the resultant Mad Maxian Okeefenokee wasteland of ruined communities. It doesn’t deter survival responses like electing Trump or forming armed militias or, as the Arch Druid calls them, “war bands”.

Hillary is one of the Winston Smith mis-representers, doubling down some weeks ago on the “deplorable” comments she made during the campaign, pissing on the people that didn’t vote for her, never for a moment considering the FACTS of why they didn’t.

Nope, just like the bosses and readers of the NY Times insist, it was the deficiencies of Trump voters at the bottom of it, like their bred in the bone racism, in complete disregard of the FACT that hundreds of counties that voted for Trump had previously voted TWICE for Obama.

The disregard of FACTS is the road to the status of failed arrangement and it’s historical FACTS ie human actions, that make that determination.

    • hmuller April 20, 2018 at 12:35 pm #

Hillary still thinks she lost because too many women are weak and voted the way their husbands and boyfriends told them. The unspoken presumption is that if one has a vagina, one must vote for a vagina or be branded a disloyal outcast. Other concerns are dismissed as trivial.

Yet, for some reason the same logic does not extend to Trump and penile loyalty.

      • volodya April 20, 2018 at 12:46 pm #

Or more particularly those Red State women being uneducated and backwards let their husbands dominate them.

Unlike Hillary of course who’s a strong and independent woman who don’t need no man, who don’t take no shit from Bill nosiree, who would have left the lyin’ cheatin’ bastard but for her own political ambitions but nonetheless whose candidacy would have flown without Bill’s coat-tails, for sure.

      • GreenAlba April 20, 2018 at 1:09 pm #

We elected (well, not me) a leading vagina owner in 1979 till 1990 and she didn’t show much interest in other vagina owners or their problems, families, jobs or husband’s jobs, so vagina owners would be well advised to remember her example. A vagina of iron she had, they tell me…

As for Hillary, ‘I’m not standing by my man like Tammy Wynette’, she proudly claimed, while standing by her man like Tammy Wynette…

Where would Thatcher have ended up but for that splendid little war in the Falklands?

It looked for a while like Galtieri had it in the bag, with everyone counselling “diplomacy”.

          • GreenAlba April 20, 2018 at 2:05 pm #

I visited friends of mine down in England shortly after the Falklands invasion. The husband was quite high up in the RAF, so I was wary and expecting him to be pretty gung ho about it, but as soon as it was mentioned the first thing he said was that it was a fiasco and should never have happened.

The Sun’s ‘Gotcha!’ headline when the Belgrano was sunk is a lasting shame on the gutter press, with Thatcher’s ‘Rejoice’ also up there with cringes you don’t forget.

          • GreenAlba April 20, 2018 at 2:08 pm #

The British military response should never have happened, I mean, although it would have been helpful if the invasion hadn’t happened either of course…

The War was glorious. The unleashed the Gurkhas on these silly Hispanics, complete with their kukri knives. The Junta was destabilized by losing, allowing the Capitalist Predators to come in. That’s a win, right? Or an “unintended” consequence?

          • GreenAlba April 20, 2018 at 2:26 pm #

            Janos

I had no time for the Junta. Not my kind of governance. That doesn’t mean I could ‘rejoice’ with Thatcher or the vile Sun at the drowning of hundreds of young Argentinian seamen.

            War is not glorious.

‘The old Lie; Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori’.

Wilfred was right. You were never there.

          • Elrond Hubbard April 20, 2018 at 4:28 pm #

Quidquid latine dictum sit, altum videtur — you can make any old foolishness sound impressive by saying it in Latin.

As for Dulce et decorum est, that delusion was supposed to have died in the mud at Ypres or thereabouts. Failing that, Hiroshima and Nagasaki should have put paid to it for all time. Should there ever be a serious nuclear exchange, the lucky ones will be those vaporized in the opening milliseconds. What’s ‘sweet and fitting’ about an aftermath where the living envy the dead?

          • GreenAlba April 20, 2018 at 6:44 pm #

Quite so, Elrond. And if Janos thinks war is glorious, I might just take the liberty of including the whole thing, as a reminder.

Bent double, like old beggars under sacks,
Knock-kneed, coughing like hags, we cursed through sludge,
Till on the haunting flares we turned our backs,
And towards our distant rest began to trudge.
Men marched asleep. Many had lost their boots,
            But limped on, blood-shod. All went lame; all blind;
Drunk with fatigue; deaf even to the hoots
            Of gas-shells dropping softly behind.

Gas! GAS! Quick, boys!—An ecstasy of fumbling
Fitting the clumsy helmets just in time,
But someone still was yelling out and stumbling
And flound’ring like a man in fire or lime.—
Dim through the misty panes and thick green light,
As under a green sea, I saw him drowning.

In all my dreams before my helpless sight,
He plunges at me, guttering, choking, drowning.

If in some smothering dreams, you too could pace
Behind the wagon that we flung him in,
And watch the white eyes writhing in his face,
            His hanging face, like a devil’s sick of sin;
If you could hear, at every jolt, the blood
Come gargling from the froth-corrupted lungs,
Obscene as cancer, bitter as the cud
Of vile, incurable sores on innocent tongues,—
My friend, you would not tell with such high zest
To children ardent for some desperate glory,
The old Lie: Dulce et decorum est
            Pro patria mori.

“Ironic since you two don’t even believe in countries – not if you want open borders. Of course you won’t admit it. ”

I’m losing count of the number of times I’ve asked you not to repeat this calumny. You’re not even worth the response.

I don’t believe in rejoicing over dead ‘enemies’ who are all somebody’s son, grandson, brother or husband.

I don’t believe in ‘my country right or wrong’ either.

          • Janos Skorenzy April 20, 2018 at 9:07 pm #

In other words, just roll over and surrender before any “war” starts. Nothing is worse than “war”. Give the Invader anything and everything they want. Become their slaves. Anything rather than fight in a “war”.

This is the philosophy of decadence. This is the remedy:

My Country right or wrong. If right, to be kept right. If wrong, to be put right. The Enemy is to be crushed, be they within or without. Glory to the Race. Service to the State (that serves the Race).

          • GreenAlba April 20, 2018 at 9:13 pm #

            “In other words…”

You’re not good at interpreting other people’s words, Janos, so you shouldn’t try. Either that or it’s pure malevolence and manipulation.

Just as an example, fighting the Nazis was necessary. That they were beaten is something we should be thankful for.

Glory is not what it was about.

If I were a betting man, I generally am not– but, I’d wager that in the next year there will be a new round of fake outrages manufactured to get the progressives & libs all excited. Maybe a new round of toilet wars.

Bernie had a great diagnosis of some very real problems, but his prescription by euro-styled social democracy is a non-starter.

When will someone actually get up on the stage for president and tell everybody that the US is in decline, at to just get over it already? Trump did it in his own way, but MAGA is as close as anybody will probably get.

Racist murders are racist murders, no matter what the colour of the perpetrator or the victim.

If it’s true that race ‘is not a motivator’ that’s a different matter, but if it is, it is and should be denounced as such. That shouldn’t be a problem to any person of good faith, regardless of their disappointment in developments in that country.

Yes GA, I for one am not aware of a single case here in the Colonies where the term “racism” was ever “allowed” to be applied to any event that did not involve a “minority” as the victim. No one here seems to give a damn about who is murdered in other places around the planet, heck they do not even care about Chicago. Perhaps America remains uncivilized, maybe we just don’t care but for whatever reason that is how it is.

JHK’s description of “flyover-land” northeast Connecticut has my head whirling, whirling.

It is like many other long-forgotten broad swaths of the U.S.A.: drug-addled populations unable and uncaring to grasp the machinations of Wall Street, Hollyweird, and Washington, D.C. but able to grab a gag-in-the-bag burger and fries or charge $10.00 for an EBT approved snack and a handful of medications, legal and illicit, washed down with a 40 ounce diet cola or malt liquor.

And the “…malevolent diseased imbeciles…” sounds more like the current crop of apparatchiks and operatives, Democrat and Republican, who are all too deserving of Federal criminal indictments for crimes and misdemeanors including treason.

At the rate we are headed, there won’t be a second American civil war, rather we are going to willfully wind up with Cthulhu in the Oval Office. It might even be an improvement.

Okay, I’m not too vain to admit I didn’t get the reference. It’s from H.P. Lovecraft. I haven’t spent much time with him. Stephen King scares me enough. To save some of you the research effort, this from: http://knowyourmeme.com

“Cthulhu is a fictional monster created by horror writer H.P. Lovecraft that is often depicted as a large cephalopod-like creature with a tentacled mouth, large wings, clawed hands and scaly skin. The correct pronunciation of Cthulhu has long been debated, but “KAH-THOO-LOO” or “CHA-THOO-LAH” are commonly used. In The Call of Cthulhu, Lovecraft states that the name is impossible for the human tongue to accurately pronounce.

      ORIGIN
Cthulhu first appeared in the short story The Call of Cthulhu, which was published in the February, 1928 edition of Weird Tales, a fantasy/horrific magazine that ran from 1923 to 1954. The monster was inspired by the Alfred Lord Tennyson poem ‘The Kraken’ which is about an enormous squid that rests at the bottom of the sea. In Weird Tales, Cthulhu was established as a malevolent super-natural being trapped in R’lyeh, a fictional underwater city with non-Euclidean architecture. In the mythos, the demi-god is described as, “an octopus, a dragon, and a human caricature…. A pulpy, tentacled head surmounted a grotesque scaly body with rudimentary wings.” His status is described as “dead, but dreaming” which is reiterated in a message commonly found in the Cthulhu Mythos “ph’nglui mglw’nafh Cthulhu R’lyeh wgah’nagl fhtagn”, translated as “in his house at R’lyeh sleeping Cthulhu waits dreaming.”

“Cosmopolitan” is the only “fantasy/horrific magazine” I was familiar with. Now that you’ve pointed it out, I do see the comparison to Trump. Who knew? -Sticks

Thank you Sticks, your Miley reference here just made my weekend.

For those of you not familiar with this priestess of the Whore of Babylon:

            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFLv9Ns1EuQ

From her infamous performance at the VMA Awards 2013. Although considering the bright side, it did introduce the term “twerking” to grade school children and senior citizens. ( It, the performance, is so tame by today’s standards, almost old hat – perhaps Miley is ready for prime time as a political operative for the midterms and beyond.)

          • Janos Skorenzy April 20, 2018 at 9:13 pm #

You’re not wrong. The old Mulatto Priest of Cthulu said that once Cthulu rose, he would teach us new ways to shout and new ways to kill, with humanity becoming wild and free even as the Old Ones themselves. Miley is obviously a precursor to that.

“The Federal Reserve is out of tricks…”

Yes, indeed, save the current overplayed gambit…. Paul Krugman, our Nobel Laureate Economist, once famously urged the US Government to borrow every cent it could at the (then and now) low interest rates. I believe he was correct, and that the Fed is doing the smartest thing available to it…borrow/print Trillions of dollars.

Consider that our “debt” is wildly unpayable…there will be no real growth in the economy…tax revenues will flatten like the baseline in a Phillip Glass dirge. The great game called the US Economy can continue as long as people continue to accept the dollar as viable. We have no other game…this paradigm of debt is the endgame, and we should play it to the hilt.

There is no other option…there can be no other results forthcoming other than those which are painful.

Consider the depravity that was Germany in the ’20’s…our current situation allows for an understanding of that period….

    • Janos Skorenzy April 20, 2018 at 2:21 pm #

Krugs said you cannot have open borders and the welfare state. Krugs if for open border and the welfare state. That is all you need to know about Sir Krugs. He’s working for the destruction of America in his own abstruse way, a kind of economic Cloward and Piven strategy.

    • janet April 20, 2018 at 2:04 pm #

Makes sense, volodya. It will be good to get Trump under oath so he can clear it up. In the summer of 2016, the Democratic National Committee went public with claims that Russians hackers had gained access to their computer systems, obtaining emails and opposition research against Trump.

Then, just days before the Democratic National Convention when Clinton was set to receive the party’s presidential nomination, WikiLeaks published tens of thousands of hacked DNC emails.

The release of the emails, which included messages disparaging Bernie Sanders, threw the Democratic Party into turmoil at a moment when the party was supposed to be coming together in support of a nominee, and intensified in-fighting between supporters of Clinton and Sanders.

JohnAZ, cannot challenge you with any positives. There will be another FDR moment when those at the top of the food chain will be forced to compromise their wealth to save their lives. Energy will be rationed and the two main recipients will be the constabulary and the farm industry. Do you know where the gated communities are in your local? So does every person who will have a starving child to feed. Three hundred million empty mouths will be a clarifying moment in the history of mankind.

I do not look forward to any of the scenarios that are predicted. The truth is the truth whever it might be found – What profit a man to gain the world and lose his soul? There will be a desperate need for government to mitigate the unimaginable suffering that would accompany a collapse. I would offer you that men of faith and good will be assets more dear than gold.

And of course the Second Amendment to our Constitution.

volodya, you have been on a roll lately. Thank you.

    • volodya April 21, 2018 at 11:21 am #

Thanks, glad you liked it. You said some time ago that the universe/reality has a tendency to deal out overhand rights to people that don’t heed it. You can only hope that another FDR will come to the fore but it seems that the opposite is happening. How else do we explain the respective presidential nominees, two ludicrously incompetent election campaigns, the Democratic Party managing to lose an eminently un-loseable election, the “intelligentsia” (and posters on this site for that matter) proclaiming their impatience with the gripes of fly-over losers, the preposterous series of events that unambiguously indicate an attempted coup… it all points to imminent bone-cracking head-shots.

Still, a modern-day FDR may yet point out what the late FDR pointed out, that the system, as it is, is unworkable, and for the sake of their own self-preservation if nothing else, steps need to be taken by those hoarding wealth and wielding power. If they don’t do it, someone else will. History is most instructive in this.

In regard to criminal referrals, JHK sez:
“But the evidence trail has been in plain sight for more than a year that Justice Department officials of various ranks and stripes colluded to bring off a legalistic coup d’etat against the loathed and despised winner of the 2016 election — with a little help from (of all things and personae) Russia, as in that political smallpox blanket known as the Steele Dossier.”

To show how quickly hiding-in-plain-sight important info gets stuffed down the rabbit hole, let us cast our minds back to when the earth was new, in the Autumn of the mist-shrouded year of 2017, day one of the freshly named “month” of “September”. (It was so long ago; perhaps I had dreamt it?)………
    ************************************************************
“Here is a summary from the Grassley/Graham letter:

Transcripts reviewed by the Senate Judiciary Committee reveal that former FBI Director James Comey began drafting an exoneration statement in the Clinton email investigation before the FBI had interviewed key witnesses. Chairman Chuck Grassley and Senator Lindsey Graham, chairman of the Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Terrorism, requested all records relating to the drafting of the statement as the committee continues to review the circumstances surrounding Comey’s removal from the Bureau.

“Conclusion first, fact-gathering second—that’s no way to run an investigation. The FBI should be held to a higher standard than that, especially in a matter of such great public interest and controversy,” the senators wrote in a letter today to the FBI.

Last fall, following allegations from Democrats in Congress, the Office of Special Counsel (OSC) began investigating whether Comey’s actions in the Clinton email investigation violated the Hatch Act, which prohibits government employees from using their official position to influence an election. In the course of that investigation, OSC interviewed two FBI officials close to Comey: James Rybicki, Comey’s Chief of Staff, and Trisha Anderson, the Principal Deputy General Counsel of National Security and Cyberlaw. OSC provided transcripts of those interviews at Grassley’s request after it closed the investigation due to Comey’s termination.

Both transcripts are heavily redacted without explanation. However, they indicate that Comey began drafting a statement to announce the conclusion of the Clinton email investigation in April or May of 2016, before the FBI interviewed up to 17 key witnesses including former Secretary Clinton and several of her closest aides. The draft statement also came before the Department entered into immunity agreements with Cheryl Mills and Heather Samuelson where the Department agreed to a very limited review of Secretary Clinton’s emails and to destroy their laptops after review.
    ***********************************************************************

As vividly codified by the Cheney/Bush kleptocracy, that’s how it’s done now, conclusion first, evidence fixed or ignored (whichever is the most convenient) to fit. I call this bald-faced mendacity; you can call it what you like, but stay away from any term that smacks of “the whole truth”.

I was hoping Mr Kunstler would employ his satirical wit against the hapless Starbucks chain, now besieged by both Blacks and Liberals and the Alt Right who are apparently sending out fake “reparation coupons” to everyone. We’re all Black now!

Truly it would take a talent of a Dickens or an Orwell to put this in true perspective. Here’s a slightly humorous and very clear assessment of the situation until somebody like Kunstler takes it on.

    https://www.amren.com/commentary/2018/04/starbucks-hypocrisy-as-a-business-strategy/

Black comedy is needed – morphing into Tragedy. The old joke that Liberals can’t take their own side isn’t so funny anymore – it’s leading the White Race into Genocide. It cannot be averted until White Liberals give up their pretensions of moral superiority and their ideology that all races are the same – except for their own people who are scum unless and until they are “saved” by the religion of Political Correctness.

The local Starbux, that I assiduously avoid as it is in the local supermarket I frequent, was only serving coffee, Black.

      Damn it, Janos
I was scanning thru the comments hoping that I would be the first to mention Starbucks. I black comic (as a joke) did go into a Starbucks and demanded his free reparations coffee. He received it.

So the liberals with their PC culture who run Starbucks have really done it this time. Soon, in many urban areas, the homeless will take over and the filthy bathrooms will be open for all – no purchase necessary. Henceforth, how dare any manager tell anyone they have to buy something to use the restroom! But the Yuppies, with their lattes and their laptops, will be gone for more promising coffee shops. At least, after their coming training, the baristas will be shorn of their unconscious racism, as they watch their jobs melt away like whipped cream on a frappe. Oh, the irony!

What we need is to get the message out. Starbucks is the new gathering place for the idle urban street rat.
A large part of managing retail space in any urban environment is shooing away various vagrants and panhandlers (mostly black) from the premises. Now this company will train its staff to allow them to remain as policy. I fully expect homeless blacks to discover that they are free to loiter and camp out at all times in Starbucks facilities, and if chased away – discrimination lawsuit. In fact, we should be encouraging this. I would love nothing more than every Starbucks to be filled with loud, smelly, aggressive, erratically behaving blacks, or those sleeping on the tables, drumming buckets on the sidewalks, and selling their mixtapes to customers in line. Make it to where no reasonable white person wants to shop or work there.

Re: “…with Thatcher’s ‘Rejoice’ also up there with cringes you don’t forget” -Green Alba (way up yonder @ 2:05PM today)

For me, Hillary’s “We came, we saw, he died” cackle after the cruel rape and murder of Libya’s Colonel Muammar Gaddafi was one of our most cringeworthy moments in recent memory. Regardless of his behavior earlier in life (which also could have been exaggerated by our CIA & PTB) we gave him our word, he disarmed, and then we betrayed him.

Just part of the neo-con, 7 country/5 year master game plan, as Gen. Wes Clark showed us. Just ‘git her done,’ no matter what. Lock and load. Whose next? Like an Army post barber shop; Syria! Lack of honor is among the greatest of offenses. (As Gen. Clark & our own Walter B understand better than most.)

His people loved him and he was doing great things for his country, as well as the African continent. Americans (others too, but I’ll speak only for our ignorance) have no idea what that entailed. Using oil wealth to provide universal housing, education, healthcare, fuel, basic income and other benefits for his countrymen instead of squandering it on palaces and pleasure like Saddam & sons (he preferred tent living), massive water projects to turn the desert into an oasis, the list goes on and on. His plan for a gold-backed dinar probably is what got himself killed, truth be told. But our psy-op was to make him into a boogeyman. Now look at Libya. Thanks Obama.

Oh yes and by the way, regarding the benevolent donation of freedom to Libya, where are the 160 plus tons of gold from their national reserves, spirited away by NATO elves in the heat of the moment?

That will undoubtedly turn into the same familiar story as was told about Stalin, smiling upon receipt of the bullion from the Spanish Republican government, urging Moscow to hold it for safekeeping.

    Alba,
    A heads-up…

The UK is about to legislate against knives and acid. Apparently one will no longer be able to order a knife on the Internets and have it home delivered…(You don’t need a knife to kill bambi, why you can use a sharp stick…).

The proposed law will also prohibit anyone from carrying acid in public, as well as closely monitoring where acid is sold.

Would you please use your good offices to contact someone of responsibility and advise them that acid…sulfuric acid…is the liquid component (at least a pint) in an auto battery…available anywhere there are vehicles…and usually found in public?

I wish I could say I know you mean well. This harping by you and brh about knives and acid is getting tedious. We know that car batteries contain acid and that, if you’re so inclined, you can do serious damage with a steak knife. I think we can trust the law enforcers to take ‘in public’ to mean ‘on the sunny side of a car bonnet’ (I believe that’s a ‘hood’ over your way), and to know that if you’re caught wandering the streets with your mates with a steak knife in your pocket it’s probably not because you fear being caught unprepared near a pie shop.

So it won’t be illegal to own a car just because its battery contains acid. But once you drain the battery, put the acid in a container and take it for a walk, you will then be subject to prosecution if you are stopped and searched and can’t provide an acceptable reason why your are strolling around with battery acid. But in your heart of hearts you know that.

I know you get great fun out of the fact that a country that doesn’t allow guns nevertheless still sees people murdered and maimed, albeit not in such great numbers, leaving aside a couple of major cities (I believe Manchester has quite high rates of knife crime – my daughter lived there for years, so I thought about it). I’m sorry that it pleases you so much, but there’s nothing I can do about that, so just carry on getting your fun where you can.

Why don’t you google it. I expect there’s a niche part of the gov.uk website that deals with ‘heritage exceptionalism’.

Although I might be confusing it with the bit called ‘urban myths for gullible Americans’. Who aren’t good with percentages either. And watch too many silly films.

But – just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean …they’re not standing behind you with a scimitar…

I’d imagine getting white clothes cleaned, and dirty toilets spic-and-span with bleach (toxic sodium hypochlorite) or ammonia are going to become quite problematic with such progressive lawmaking from the Parliament. You can also forget about using those chlorine tabs for the pool or cleaning a sidewalk with some muriatic acid.

But no doubt, with the proposed legislation, it’s gonna be God damned impossible, and a crime, to have some malt vinegar for one’s fish and chips. Horrors.

Don’t ever pursue a career in legislation or its interpretation, will you? I think you may find it over confusing.

In the meanwhile, the bottles of Domestos that are on the shelf in my corner shop today will still be there tomorrow, and next month and next year.

And we’ve been educated by our ties with Europe, so we know that lemon is much better on fish and chips. Or at least we do in this household.

You do know that fish and chips were introduced to our nation by Jewish immigrants from Spain and Portugal, don’t you? Good, I hoped you did. We have been much enriched in a culinary context by those who have chosen to join us over the centuries.

I think EF point is that the government should probably work on things to control the animosity rather than trying to ban the means of violence. Butter knives can kill, how does one control martial arts knowledge. London, Chicago. Six of one and half dozen of the other.

        Alba,
I admit to seeing the humor in, and lampooning the Europeans and Brits for legislating “around the issue” of Immigrant dysfunction and the social experiment that is “Globalization”…

Janos is 100% correct in that your culture is under assault. It is arguable also that race has been weaponized, and not to your benefit. We observe this clearly there because we are experiencing it here. We have experienced 50 years of this crap, and you are about to take the same “ride”…only without any means to defend yourself.

Alba…the predators running amok do not please me…but it is hard to empathize with one who cannot recognize the issue for what it is…your experiences with the Immigrants are not “growing pains” that will lead to assimilation and eventual rainbows and unicorns…some will assimilate well, but many will remain a cancer on your culture…the lives of your children and grandchildren will change…not for the better.

        You have my sympathy.

Regretful to say, Jim, your comments on the sad state of NE Connecticut are right on the mark. This is the place where the American industrial revolution began — textiles, in the 1790s — but they departed in the 1970s and nothing has yet taken its place.

the solid 19th century granite buildings still remain like medieval castles in the Welsh countryside, as do the dams and canals built on the rivers.

How many of our missiles were shot down exactly?

    Russian MOD Briefing:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AoATzZQjGuw

The main targets of the enemy were military airfields. 103 missiles were fired. The destruction of 71 missiles by Syrian air defense is confirmed. Spent 112 SAMs. Results by various systems:

    “Pantsir ” – 25 SAMs fired, 23 targets destroyed, “Buk” – 29 missiles/24 targets, “Wasp” – 11 missiles /5 targets, C-125 – 13 missiles / 5 targets, “Strela-10” – 5 missiles / 3 targets, “Quadrate” – 21 missiles / 11 targets, C-200 – 8 missiles, all missed.

2 American missiles just dropped, were scooped up by Syrians and sent to Moscow Museum of most ridiculous weaponry.

The S-200 is intended primarily for the destruction of aircraft. The recent destruction of the Israeli plane by the S-200 complex has been confirmed.

All systems used by Syrian Air defense are old Soviet SAM systems build in 1970s, no Russian modern SAMs like S300/S400 were employed (can’t say that about the Russian modern radars, though)

Conclusion: Russian Radars could see the newest, smart. stealth missiles; while the missiles can not see the Russian radars (none was suppressed).

    In general, very good.

    • JohnAZ April 20, 2018 at 11:49 pm #

I wondered why 103 missiles for three rather smallish targets. Must be the US knew about the anti-missile capability. I wonder if just a few smart bombs might have had the same impact? I think that the Tomahawk is good for blasting someone without taking risk of air exposure. Sort of like drones.

Prince Charles, President Putin and the Book of the Prophet Ezekiel

The question of transferring the powers of the head of the British Commonwealth to Prince Charles appeared in February, but in combination with rumors about the transfer of powers of the British monarch to Prince William, which blossomed on the basis of Brexit, they could be treated as a smoke screen.

Prince Charles has all qualities to become an eminent monarch, but Brexit was clearly initiated by the Privy Council of Britain, or rather the Privy Council of the Queen, and the connection between Brexit and Trump’s victory in the 2016 election can not be denied.

And the Cambridge Analytica case showed that if somebody interfered in the election of 2016 on Trump’s side it was the British monarchy, whose paradoxes are somehow connected with Prince Charles, who fled to Startford-upon-Avon to celebrate the 500th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death, only NOT to shake hands with Obama, who met this date in London.

And two months later, Hillary Clinton toppled Obama and sent him around the country to campaign for herself, beloved, while she with her firm hands took the helm of the US state machine, which Trump can not wrestle from her until now, despite his victory in November 8, 2016.

And the intervention of the British monarchy is the only thing that can explain this victory, unless, of course, the Lord God continues to interfere in the affairs of people by acting with their hands and speaking with their lips, and directly intervening with His own hands HE spares for another eon.

Well, with Hillary it is really all transparent: she is fighting against Christ, and she wants to destroy Russia because she understands perfectly well that it is the Russian Orthodox Church that is the true Christianity.

But Prince Charles opposes Russia from Christian positions, as if the Nazis from the ROCA have already seized power over the Russian Church. It was not by chance that he was the first who compared Putin to Hitler and now the communication between the potential head of British Commonwealth and the King of Great Britain with the Russian President is almost impossible.

Putin trolls Prince Charles – “That’s not very regal”
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wtmLGN5Iccg

And Prince Charles passed this Rubicon in 2014 a couple of months before Putin’s trip to Normandy on D-Day, where he was invited to be ostracized and to receive the Norman Ultimatum, in which the united West apparently threatened Russia with war if its army is used in Ukraine with the permission of the Federation Council to protect the Russian Donbass from the Bandera Nazis whom the West began to grow even when President Roosevelt was still in the White House and the Russians with the Anglo-Saxons and Celts were allies.

The fact that Prince Charles was the first who voiced the above comparison, indicates that it was he who was the architect of this ultimatum.

    https://imgprx.livejournal.net/0556610f26debb6bf5da8544c2f32cb44f5f3a88/8gE5UuVESQIQtZxM5eDu66pD1I8_9HmDLWr2MuOZvfFrn7Lqqcca3PCg6iyUNKabRmQz75lhGIbsNJmY5yThsHpYMDJbEVW35WRZ1ZfMDQTzQYdRyfcxgFEIq5z9VG1zwk_tcgXDs3Vd9p1Djy_goQ

Putin took note of this and asked the Federation Council to withdraw the permission, but since then, there have been 8 nuclear submarines capable of launching 1,000 nuclear warheads, and there is no doubt that Charles perfectly understood why these submarines were so urgently repaired and modernized , and what they are the answer to. He showed it quite clearly in Stratford-upon-Avon, life-affirmingly making a logical stress on the famous question of Hamlet on the word “question”, saying the inevitability of nuclear war remains in question:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55nMY-G5crU

And since Prince Charles knows about the Western Colored Projects more than I do, and in practice, not like I, and his belonging to the Western Red Project can be ruled out, the question before him is: “White or Black”.

And until the last bombing of Syria and those rumors of the city of New York immediately after this bombing, about which I have already written a separate post, he obviously could not answer it unequivocally, and he vacillated along with the party line on the basis of Ezekiel’s prophecy about Gog and Magog, Prince of Rosh.

And after this bombing, a hasty presentation to his British fellowship means that the Royal family questioned their interpretation of the book of Ezekiel and the Apocalypse and somehow they managed to answer this question.

Shakespeare died in 1616, so we’re talking about the 400th anniversary of his death, not the 500th. When one is attempting to have people believe in one’s theories, one must use accurate figures, otherwise one’s credibility will be called into question.

      • FincaInTheMountains April 20, 2018 at 10:50 pm #

I stand corrected – it was indeed the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare death.

When you make a mental leap through the centuries and millennias, what a 100 years really mean – just one tick of the Galactical Clock.

If only you would stand corrected on the constitutional nonsense, Finca. Unless Charles dies before the Queen, he will be King before William, whatever fancies you entertain.

The Act of Succession says so, and as I have pointed out, the Queen has no political power to do anything about that – only Parliament has, since it was Parliament which passed the Act in the first place.

The other stuff is too fanciful to even engage with, but I guess it keeps you off the streets 🙂 .

There’s no real reason for an hereditary monarchy. The British will probably eliminate the expense of maintaining the institution some day. Does it pay its way, perhaps as a tourist attraction, much like a roadside reptile farm? It’s not clear what the monarch actually does. An elected executive such as we have in the US would be more efficient. (Of course, the US could equally benefit from a parliamentary system with most power stripped from the executive and returned to the legislative branch. Perhaps in a future re-imagining, the US will adopt such a system.)

The House of Windsor (originally Saxe Coburg-Gothe) was a cadet house of the aristocratic house of Hanover, IIRC. Ever since the abdication of George VIII, it has been in crisis. But this family are a wily bunch, with an instinct for survival and have stayed one step ahead of the hangman. Now they have rolled the dice once again & permitted the Spare to marry Cheddar woman. Only time will tell what the future holds.

      • GreenAlba April 22, 2018 at 4:55 am #

“There’s no real reason for an hereditary monarchy.”

Well, there’s no legitimate reason – I’d agree with you there, Tate. But it’s held in place by (a) the dimmer bulbs, mostly of an older generation even than me, who like nostalgia and flag-waving and so forth – it helps make their world feel safe and predictable, and (b) a certain elite that benefits from the unconscious meme that some people are your betters because, well, just because… Blood or something. And yes, some tourist pounds but I doubt that’s a serious reason.

I have no interest in the monarchy, although their brain-dumbing effect annoys me, but they anger me less than they might because (a) they have no real power other than their money (i.e. our money), in which power they are not alone, and (b) I look at what you have over your way and I see that getting rid of a powerless monarchy solves few real problems and makes some worse. The parliamentary system tends to avoid the demagoguery that is always a risk with presidential systems (the Irish system, with its ceremonial president is fine, but it’s still a parliamentary system).

” Ever since the abdication of George VIII…” George VIII? Oops…

“Now they have rolled the dice once again & permitted the Spare to marry Cheddar woman.”

So, Tate, you write a reasonable post and then go and spoil it all by demeaning yourself. Shame (both senses).

” Only time will tell what the future holds.”

Now that IS funny. Not sure if it’s Confucius or Groucho. But yeah… Maybe I should put it on the end of my emails along with ‘you need to look behind you to see where you came from’. Excellent 🙂

        • Tate April 22, 2018 at 4:57 pm #

Not sure if it’s Confucius or Groucho.

I was going more for Yogi Berra. If he didn’t say it, he should have.

On that other thing, I don’t know what you mean by demeaning myself. I was simply pointing out that Harry marrying Meghan Markle is polluting the bloodline, and I’m not talking about some mythic & exclusive ‘royal bloodline.’ But the Windsors are political animals first & foremost. They know what they’re doing, which is what they’ve always done — playing a high stakes game & walking a tightrope. Do you think Harry would have done it without the Royal Nod? It definitely sends a signal to the ‘dim bulbs’ among their subjects, that’s the whole point. But it may backfire.

This is all part of a movement going back decades to Count Coudenhove-Kalergi, a mixed-race European aristo, of Jap-Austrian descent, often regarded as the father of the EU, who wrote that “The man of the future will be of mixed race. Today’s races and classes will gradually disappear owing to the vanishing of space, time, and prejudice.” Kalergi was clearly projecting the insecurities of his own mixed-race identity crisis into a grandiose compensatory scheme of world mongrelization.

This is often referred to as the “Kalergi Plan.” I know that JS has referenced it here. I’m not especially fond of conspiracy theory, so I wouldn’t call it a ‘plan.’ Let’s just call it a fashionable meme among the elites. So even though ‘only time will tell what the future holds,’ this long-running meme has possibly reached its ‘sell-by’ date? I think resistance to it will only grow stronger.

          • GreenAlba April 23, 2018 at 8:22 am #

“On that other thing, I don’t know what you mean by demeaning myself.”

Which says even more about you. It’s not political correctness to call her ‘Meghan Markle’ rather than ‘Cheddar woman’. It’s just common decency, resisting dog-whistle racism.

The whole bloodline thing is nonsense, whether it’s royal or racial. But if you’re into nonsense of that ilk, there appears to be respectable evidence that the Queen is a descendant of Mohammed.

And why would the ‘royal bloodline’ be affected by Harry anyway. Not only is he going to move from fifth to sixth in line to the throne any day now, but he’s most likely not even of the royal bloodline anyway (and who cares?).

Of course he needed the ‘royal nod’, but that doesn’t mean he went out to find someone of a particular racial mix to get involved with in the first place. And who knows? Maybe he’d have gone ahead without the royal nod. Like Wallis Simpson’s squeeze.

“Kalergi was clearly (sic) projecting the insecurities of his own mixed-race identity crisis into a grandiose compensatory scheme of world mongrelization.”

Nothing quite like projecting your own sad prejudices on other people. Maybe it’s that little bit of Neanderthal that’s in so many of us.

It was fifty years ago today that Enoch Powell addressed the General Meeting of the West Midlands Area Conservative Political Centre in Birmingham, England, ahead of a second reading of the 1968 Race Relations bill in Parliament. This speech is commonly known today as the ‘Rivers of Blood’ speech. The speech divided a nation and defined Powell’s political legacy.

The BBC is airing the anti-immigration speech on Saturday April 21, which will be read out in segments by actor Ian McDiarmid. The program is causing some controversy. It has been opposed by Baron Andrew Adonis, who is leading calls for it to be cancelled.

    Some excerpts from the speech:

“The supreme function of statesmanship is to provide against preventable evils. In seeking to do so, it encounters obstacles which are deeply rooted in human nature.
One is that by the very order of things such evils are not demonstrable until they have occurred: at each stage in their onset there is room for doubt and for dispute whether they be real or imaginary. By the same token, they attract little attention in comparison with current troubles, which are both indisputable and pressing: whence the besetting temptation of all politics to concern itself with the immediate present at the expense of the future.
Above all, people are disposed to mistake predicting troubles for causing troubles and even for desiring troubles: “If only,” they love to think, “if only people wouldn’t talk about it, it probably wouldn’t happen.” Perhaps this habit goes back to the primitive belief that the word and the thing, the name and the object, are identical. At all events, the discussion of future grave but, with effort now, avoidable evils is the most unpopular and at the same time the most necessary occupation for the politician. Those who knowingly shirk it deserve, and not infrequently receive, the curses of those who come after…

A week or two ago I fell into conversation with a constituent, a middle-aged, quite ordinary working man employed in one of our nationalised industries.

After a sentence or two about the weather, he suddenly said: “If I had the money to go, I wouldn’t stay in this country.” I made some deprecatory reply to the effect that even this government wouldn’t last for ever; but he took no notice, and continued: “I have three children, all of them been through grammar school and two of them married now, with family. I shan’t be satisfied till I have seen them all settled overseas. In this country in 15 or 20 years’ time the black man will have the whip hand over the white man…

I am going to allow just one of those hundreds of people to speak for me:
“Eight years ago in a respectable street in Wolverhampton a house was sold to a Negro. Now only one white (a woman old-age pensioner) lives there. This is her story… She lost her husband and both her sons in the war. So she turned her seven-roomed house, her only asset, into a boarding house… Then the immigrants moved in… The quiet street became a place of noise and confusion. Regretfully, her white tenants moved out.

“The day after the last one left, she was awakened at 7am by two Negroes who wanted to use her ‘phone to contact their employer. When she refused, as she would have refused any stranger at such an hour, she was abused and feared she would have been attacked but for the chain on her door…

“She is becoming afraid to go out. Windows are broken. She finds excreta pushed through her letter box. When she goes to the shops, she is followed by children, charming, wide-grinning piccaninnies. They cannot speak English, but one word they know. “Racialist,” they chant…”

Now, at all times, where there are marked physical differences, especially of colour, integration is difficult though, over a period, not impossible. There are among the Commonwealth immigrants who have come to live here in the last fifteen years or so, many thousands whose wish and purpose is to be integrated and whose every thought and endeavour is bent in that direction.

But to imagine that such a thing enters the heads of a great and growing majority of immigrants and their descendants is a ludicrous misconception, and a dangerous one…

For these dangerous and divisive elements the legislation proposed in the Race Relations Bill is the very pabulum they need to flourish. Here is the means of showing that the immigrant communities can organise to consolidate their members, to agitate and campaign against their fellow citizens, and to overawe and dominate the rest with the legal weapons which the ignorant and the ill-informed have provided. As I look ahead, I am filled with foreboding; like the Roman, I seem to see “the River Tiber foaming with much blood.

          Correct. From the Daily Mail:

Speaking of anniversaries, it was one hundred years ago today April 21, that Baron Manfred Albrecht Freiherr von Richthofen, commonly known as the Red Baron, was shot down over the Somme river in France. British flyer Arthur Roy Brown was credited with the kill at the time but it is generally agreed now that the Baron was brought down by ground anti-aircraft fire.

Flying was an incredibly dangerous activity in those days. The planes were highly prone to failure; great risk was ever-present, quite apart from the dangers of aerial combat. These men had to have balls of steel to climb into the cockpit again & again. The flying aces of WW1 were an anachronistic throwback to the knights of yore, a stark contrast to the ugliness of the industrial trench warfare unfolding on the ground. They had elaborate codes of Honor like the medieval mounted knights. The opposing sides respected the bravery of their adversaries. The British buried von Richthofen with full military honors.

It’s unlikely that the German — or any other — media will acknowledge the passing of the date. Honor is absent with the ascendancy of the Matriarchy.

    Who Misbehaves?

Race advocates and the media are greeting a new Government Accountability Office report on racial disparities in school discipline as a vindication of Obama administration policies. The GAO found that black students get suspended at nearly three times the rate of white students nationally, a finding consistent with previous analyses…

The GAO report ignores the critical question regarding disciplinary disparities: do black students in fact misbehave more than white students? The report simply assumes, without argument, that black students and white students act identically in class and proceeds to document their different rates of discipline…

According to federal data, black male teenagers between the ages of 14 and 17 commit homicide at nearly 10 times the rate of white male teenagers of the same age (the category “white” in this homicide data includes most Hispanics; if Hispanics were removed from the white category, the homicide disparity between blacks and whites would be much higher)…

While the number of black teens committing murder is relatively small compared with their numbers at large, a very high percentage of black children—71 percent—come from the stressed-out, single-parent homes that result in elevated rates of crime…

Observational studies of classroom behavior are in short supply, the result of the taboo against researching racial behavioral disparities…

The report notes that boys are disciplined at higher rates than girls but mysteriously fails to level charges of sex discrimination against school teachers and administrators. It does not explicitly note, though it is true, that whites are disciplined at higher rates than Asians. According to GAO logic, school officials must be biased against whites. In fact, white students misbehave more than Asian students, just as boys misbehave more than girls. Males dominate the criminal-justice system, and Asians barely show up at all…

Today (April 20th) I noticed a posting on my local Nextdoor.com that stood out. I have previously mentioned here about how safe my neighborhood is. But I have not mentioned that my neighborhood has been going through a slow transition over the years. You may understand what I’m referring to.

A gathering of eight to ten police cars was seen at the local YMCA, which is adjacent to the greenbelt/creek/hiking & biking trail. Finally a poster came forward with the [not quite] full story. It seems that the police were looking for a twelve-year old boy on a bicycle. At first, this was misunderstood, as though the youth had simply gone missing, LOL. Finally, another poster told the [still not quite] full story. It seems the youth had tried to high-jack the car of a woman sitting in her driveway texting on her cellphone. It turns out that this kid is 11, not 12 years old. He is well-known to the police. He was released yesterday from Juvie without a full evaluation, first court date in two weeks, being charged with felony menacing & aggravated robbery. No further information about his background.

Now, Alba, you see why it’s a good idea to carry a weapon? I walk that trail all the time, albeit on the other side of a major thoroughfare. I carry a folder & pepper spray regularly, as well as a large hunting knife & flashlight/kubotan when I go out after dark. I’m not expecting trouble but I am prepared for it. Weapons don’t kill; people do.

Gotta start with the kiddos (reading, playing, talking, face to face interaction), otherwise they’ll be hopelessly stunted for life. Note the movie, “Moonlight”; shocking in its lack of linguistic nuance and emotional comprehension. It’s no wonder folks are so confused, frustrated and aggressive; no one can understand what anybody really *means*. ‘Nomesane, yo?

    1. Kunstler claims there is a “deep state” conspiracy to remove democratically elected Trump from power by linking him to a false Russian intervention in the 2016 election. Where is the proof of this allegation? Are we to believe that the FBI reports to the DNC? Or perhaps, is it his claim that the “deep state” rejects any unconventional non-beltway politician, regardless of his political orientation? Believe that if you will, but I’d choose the option that the Feds are (for the most part) doing their job and working through an increasingly credible mass of evidence pointing to the traitorous activities of the Trump criminal family prior to the 2016 election, some connected to Russia due to his business failings there, and others unconnected.

About Trump … how is it that pre-election Kunstler was warning that he may be worse than Hitler, and is now parroting the Fox and Friends propaganda line about the deep state and how they’re out to get him? Did the Golden Golem of greatness impress him that favorably since?

    2. I’m tiring of the continuous wailing about the plight of the flyover states/counties/towns and the destruction of our great country. Post world war II heartland USA was a mixed blessing of economic riches, environmental disaster, awkward fashion and bigotry. While we have our share of challenges today, we should recognize we’re in an era of transition between old and new, which the author and most of his followers don’t seem to get. Kunstler is correct to point out of the sins of financial malfeasance and the too big to fail mentality still governing much of our internal policy and practice. Where I belive he errs is in his predictions of the outcome. Rather than the extremity of collapse and despair that follows, I believe we’re facing a more benign reckoning. Some of the answers are in low-tech (like ridesharing and city gardening), others in the demise of big box stores in favor of – don’t kill me – mom and pop shops selling their wares on Amazon. America is smart and nimble enough to figure out the correct responses needed for its 21st century challenges. So don’t go on and bray about the upcoming “civil war” and other such nonsense.

The latest attempt to link Trump, Wikileaks and Russia is so delusional that it might swing the 2018 elections. Or at least I hope so. fairguy,
I may be as wrong as wrong can be, but I believe you’re outlining the first baby step down in an ongoing collapse and the attempt to mitigate it. This isn’t a wishful thought, I’d rather things go swimmingly along with jolly techno-wizardry and happy folk all helping each other out to build a peaceful and sustainable, resilient world, but let’s face it, there would have to be a huge awakening for that to happen. I have huge doubts in that regard, bolstered by really stupid behavior by an inordinately large portion of humankind.

” … how is it that pre-election Kunstler was warning that he may be worse than Hitler, and is now parroting the Fox and Friends propaganda line about the deep state and how they’re out to get him?”

I don’t find the two opinions to be dissonant. There were factions “out to get” Hitler too. Serious attempts to do just that are part of the historical record. (Too bad they didn’t have better luck.)

How many Queers did Stalin deport to Central Asia?

“It is because the West has always projected its own turpitudes onto Russia without ever acknowledging these or perhaps without even being aware that this is the case, that it has never called its clichés and biased reading of Russia into question. Lacking the will to understand, the West has “measured” Russia by its own scale. Workaday Russophobia has become an analytical grid, a cushion of laziness all the more comfortable in that it ensures those that indulge in it substantial academic or journalistic acceptance, and even advantages. What researcher, what journalist in the West could have made a career of denouncing clichés and painting a more honest picture of Russia?”

Orthodox England: The Origins of Russophobia

How do wars begin? Wars begin when politicians lie to journalists and then believe what they have read in the newspapers.

Karl Kraus, Dits et Contredits, 1932

The West will not resist any manipulation to attain its aims…

Today many Western historians behave exactly like the papal theologians 1,000 years ago; by dint of rewriting history, with the support of dodgy documents and ‘forgetting’ embarrassing documents, they have been able to rewrite history deleting Russia from European memories just as the theologians did with Byzantium (sic) 600 years before.

All you have to do now is shift the blame to the ‘Orientals’. If this succeeds, with the passing of time and the deaths of eyewitnesses, the manoeuvre will attain the same goal: the destruction of the memory of Russia as the liberator from Nazism and the establishment of the myth of an Atlantic liberation of Europe.

And the shifting of the blame for the World Wars to Russia, just as the blame for the Great Schism was shifted to Byzantium.

“the manoeuvre will attain the same goal: the destruction of the memory of Russia as the liberator from Nazism and the establishment of the myth of an Atlantic liberation of Europe.”

I keep the statistics handy to remind me, Finca, of the debt owed to the Soviets:

        Military deaths in WWII:

        US 416,800
        Soviet Union 8,800,000

I don’t have the British ones to hand, since national chauvinism is not the point, but the memory of Russia’s role should never be forgotten, either in the statistics or in the detail of the horror.

Nine million is not just a statistic – it’s individual horror lived nine million times.

And that’s just the *military* deaths.

Remember that after the war the Russian side became neurotic over the atomic bomb, the seeds of the Cold War were being sowed at Yalta and Potsdam. Stalin made getting the bomb the number one job after the war. Russia has always been treated by Europe as an outsider. It is Eurasian in geography and ethnicity and like a half breed is discriminated against by both sides. The West does not like them and neither does the East. When will someone realize that NATO and the Russia reaction to it is senseless? Imagine a world without European strife, without arms buildups. Imagine it, because the Deep States of both sides will not allow it!

          Sounds like John Lennon.

Indeed, John, that would be something. It amazes me that with the everyday problems humans are born into, some feel the need to always be creating more that don’t need to be there.

There have been ties between the people of Scotland and the people of Russia since the Middle Ages – millions of copies of Robert Burns’ poetry have been sold in Russia (his ‘brotherhood of man’ concept appeals to them).

None of which means the Kremlin is full of boy scouts, who can’t tell a lie without blushing, however.

And how would having the British number be national chauvinism? Seems like you’re bending over backwards not to be chauvinist (which of course is natural) so you in effect become a chauvinist against your own people. Such are the conundrums of those who try to be too “good” and universal, going against natural law.

Oh, dear. Remember all the things they say about *assuming*? Well you’ve done it again.

The only reason I left out the British stats is because I had a record of the US and Soviet stats right at hand which I had for a particular reason. And that reason is that in the dim and distant past I produced those statistics on a comments site for some bombastic Americans who thought ‘they’ alone saved everyone’s ‘ass’ like so many John Waynes, so I liked to point out that our Soviet allies made a way bigger sacrifice for freedom from your vile Nazi friends. The British stats had nothing to do with my point, hence I hadn’t noted them.

And since the figures I DID have were easily at hand, that’s what you got here.

But I’ve looked it up for you now, Janos, and it’s 382,700. 449,700 if you include civilians.

So you see, it had no bearing at all on my point about the Soviet contribution and sacrifice, which is why I didn’t bother to look it up.

But you carry on assuming, Janos, because it’s what you do best. Along with making stuff up entirely from scratch, obviously – you’re good at that too.

I wondered why 103 missiles for three rather smallish targets JohnAZ

Airfield Dywali 4 missiles 4 destroyed

Aerodrome Bley 18 missiles 18 destroyed
Airfield Shairat 12 missiles 12 destroyed

Airfield Mezze 9 missiles 5 destroyed
Airfield Homs 16 missiles 13 destroyed
Settlements of the Barza and Jharamani 30 missiles 5 destroyed

    Total: 103 Missiles, 71 destroyed

It must be noted that Syrian Air Defense is NOT echeloned defense system, just protects certain installation. That is why almost 100% of missiles launched against the protected airfields were shot down, only the one launched against the settlements went through.

103 missiles against nine targets. Still a 10 to one ratio. And planned that way, why? If I was in the Pentagon right now, I would be ripping up the staff trying to figure out WTF. Trump must be having a hissy fit now, knowing his tactical situation, the Navy, the tip of the spear is pretty ineffectual. The scariest part is that it may mean that we are more in need of the nuclear deterrence.

      OR

These loss totals are fake reporting and the missiles knocked the hell out of their intended targets with minimal losses. Do we really know? Washington is totally clammed up and so is Russia. I believe this is mostly about culture. Russians are European, rather more white and blue eyed than most, but they have cultural influences that go all the way to China and have a fair bit of influence from the steppes and the people who live there.

I love Russian culture. They are very smart, their men are men yet they manage to respect and value women. They have great food, great music and dance, and value excellence. They are intuitive and highly affectionate. Emotionally quite open. They hug and kiss and get drunk together, talk philosophy and call one another by pet names. They love animals.

And they have the Byzantine form of Christianity, one which knows what it is doing in regard to ritual, the poetry of action, deliberately designing their churches and its services to give a feeling of being in heaven as written in Old Testament prophecy.

A Christianity that does not condemn nonbelievers to hell, does not teach original sin, and even entertains universal salvation. A Christianity whose crosses have a dove to signify the victorious resurrection rather than a tortured and bloody Christ.

seeds of the Cold War were being sowed at Yalta and Potsdam JohnAZ

You have your “F” in History, Yanks as usually screw it all up.

Yalta was an agreement between Roosevelt and Stalin on dividing the world’s areas of responsibilities between USSR (Stalin) and US (Roosevelt), which BOTH sides intended to follow.

Then in April 1945 was pro-Nazi, anti-Roosevelt coup in US, lead by Vice President Truman, Roosevelt was most likely poisoned by the Russian painter Elizabeth Shoumatoff, agent of the Black Project (Roosevelt was the head of Western Red Project).

Unfinished portrait of Franklin D. Roosevelt
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unfinished_portrait_of_Franklin_D._Roosevelt

Then on the Potsdam Conference, Truman, being a sole owner of nuclear bomb, reneged on the Yalta agreements.

    • JohnAZ April 21, 2018 at 11:57 am #

      I beg to disagree.

Yalta set up Eastern Europe as a vassal State to the USSR. Churchill warned FDR that an Iron Curtain would divide Europe if Stalin got his way. FDR was already weakening from the effects of his chronic diseases and was no match for Stalin. Definitely a setup for the Berlin crisis in 1948 that led directly to the Cold War.

Potsdam was Truman and he informed Dear Joe that the US had successfully set off a bomb at Trinity site. I imagine Joe went berserk with the knowledge that the US had the strategic advantage. Definitely a cause of the split that developed. Joe went full bore trying to get the nuclear technology to Russia and probably stole it, He actually had folks in the US that believed that Russia should have the technology to balance the power in the world.

Both conferences set up the contentious feud that led to the Cold War.
We still feel the effects today. I will take my “A” back.

Unfortunately, Truman didn’t “lead” anything. He was himself chosen to lead the counterrevolution against the New Deal because he was inherently malleable – a pitiful, spineless, little party hack – who up to that time had rightly been judged so. Henry Wallace was the real threat, as he was radically pro-labor and – horror of horrors! – even socialist leaning. He never stood a real chance and likely would have been murdered outright had he ever ascended to POTUS. Everything Truman did thereafter was because he was told to do it. In that sense, later comparisons of Bush the Lesser to the little hairless ball sack Truman were certainly apt. But at least Bushy had a mildly amusing demeanor.

I know it as well as it can be known by reading multiple accounts. You’re statement simply asserts that nothing whatsoever can truly be known, which amounts to burying your head on the sand. More likely you’re just comfortable being propagandized, which of course is always safe and comfortable. Good luck with that.

Well, obviously Truman was manipulated by the US Black Project with Allen Dulles at the helm.

But ODESSA and the need for legalization of untold trillions of NSDAP Bormann money played a definite role.

“Everything Truman did thereafter was because he was told to do it. In that sense, later comparisons of Bush the Lesser to the little hairless ball sack Truman were certainly apt. But at least Bushy had a mildly amusing demeanor.”

Does American Mainstream Media run witness-intimidation program?

I have a very strong impression that 90% of their air time is not directed at regular Joe Schmo, but is used as a psychological weapon against President Trump and various potential witnesses, in particular his attorney Michael Cohen to convince HIM that Trump abandoned him and intimidate with long prison sentence if he won’t flip.

Who gives a rat’s ass about DC and Wall Street? All we are seeing is lawyer crap. If the communists did indeed shoot all the lawyers first, then perhaps there is a lesson to be learned.

Meanwhile, the medical system has already collapsed. The transportation system is in free fall. We are awaiting the big hack to take down our grid and btw all those nuc plants depend on reliable power to keep the pile from melting. Migrants are bringing in diseases we have not seen ever or in our lifetimes yet crazies advocate open borders. Perhaps when they have an untreatable brand of TB they will get the message. We are observing an organized campaign to overthrow a legal election. What next? Many, maybe most, Americans cannot even locate continents on a blank map never mind Yemen, Syria or North Korea. There was a time in elementary school when you learned to locate every country on the planet along with their capitals. The public school system collapsed long ago. When the smart phones go down, look for mass suicides. That is just a few items that get no attention. For me, I continue to stock up. I can make it a year but after that, too hard to do. That assumes no serious illness or accident. Try seeing a doctor even now.

I recognize the trend to destruction, but it’s impossible to be certain of the future. As long as we are still extant I believe we (humanity) will prevail. It’s wise to prep, though. The latest issue of the Skeptical Enquirer has an article by Stephen Pinker featured on the cover which discusses one’s attitude about the future. I haven’t read it yet, but I intend to. In any event, I can’t help but be optimistic.

Unfortunately, if you end up being correct, I doubt I’ll have the chance to say you were right.

Hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

The Confederate States believed they could prevail over a more powerful enemy and that they could not be defeated yada, yada. Every power thinks that “it” cannot happen to them, but it can and does. Diversity is not a positive element. We hate each other despite what a handful of others think. Every time someone loses a job because they disagree with liberal views or corporate views, someone else begins to doubt diversity and its righteousness. The US has been balkanized in philosophy, religion, life/death, regionally, racially, ethnically, economically and so on. We are not cooking with a recipe that will see good times ahead. I wish Hungary the best and hope it avoids becoming a Sweden like other western regimes. In time, the brown shirts are bound to appear. Meanwhile, the pretense goes on. There are no positive signs of better days.

One thing that bothers me is that I think that we are worried about the wrong folks. Yeah, we do not like Russia and we have members of the Deep State that have built their careers on promoting wars and discord with Russia. Both sides battle each other on the world chessboard. China is a late comer on the battlefield.

The real enemy in the world today is the fundamentalist Islamic components of the Middle East and North Africa. They are threatening the world with fundamental changes to society that will not fit. They are out breeding us. When Peak Oil hits in the future, the increased population in the ME is going to come out of the desert with a passion. They are a bunch of bully boys who want their way and they are willing to die for their cause. There is nothing more dangerous to the rest of us. Russia faces more of this threat than anyone else, but Europe is closing in fast. It might be time to think about all of us resolving this devil from the ME and send these domestic Russia haters home with the vote.

I have thought about what will happen in the future in the US if the Liberal trends continue and racial discord starts driving Caucasians out of the US. Where will they go? Russia.

Two trillion dollars of GDP and a fiercely independent and resiliant streak resulting from the historic predations of Germany and the Soviet Union.

John, this is the great tragedy of the moment. Russia, North America and the remnant of Europe still capable of thinking are natural allies against Islamic fundamentalism. Actually you can kick in China as well – when you see the brutal fashion they treat the Islamists in their east you cannot help but wonder whether that is the only way to respond to uncompromising religious fanaticism.

I live with them (85% majority). The creed is totalitarian, with brainwashing from birth and no way to escape (even if escape were to be entertained, which is rare, considering it means abandonment of and shunning by family and community).

That was the only real ray of hope for The Donald, in the 2016 campaign – the detente with Russia – but now it’s been extinguished.

What is whirling, whirling right now is the Trump presidency thanks to the Trump-Russia collusion that resembles the Watergate scandal. Both scandals began with burglaries and invasion of DNC property. Forty-five years ago, it was physical in nature – locks picked and door latches taped for easy escape. In 2016, as the new lawsuit makes clear, a cyber crime was reported. With “gleeful” enthusiasm, it alleges, the Trump campaign encouraged Russia and its intelligence community to break into the DNC’s servers and telephone systems, this time to dig up anything that could hurt Hillary Clinton and thereby assist Trump’s run for the highest office.

“During the 2016 presidential campaign, Russia launched an all-out assault on our democracy and it found a willing and active partner in Donald Trump’s campaign,” Tom Perez, today’s DNC Chairman, asserted in a statement. “This constituted an act of unprecedented treachery.”

Nixon had to leave. The DNC won their lawsuit. The GOP paid both monetarily and by giving up power. Same thing is set to happen to the Trump presidency as it goes whirling, whirling, down thanks to scandals of Trump’s own making.

    • FincaInTheMountains April 21, 2018 at 4:10 pm #

Undoubtedly the Watergate scandal was the most striking example of political manipulations, as a result of which Richard Nixon – one of the most talented and perspicacious US presidents who ended the war in Vietnam and started a policy of relaxation of international tensions – went into political oblivion to the enthusiastic cries of the “progressive” public on both sides of the ocean.

And in the Soviet Union we relished the details of this American disgrace with pleasure, despite the fact that the main motivation for Nixon’s removal was not the love of democracy, but the desire of the Party of War that was emerging at the time, along with Nixon, to send to the dust bin of history the SALT-1 agreement.

And it is not by chance that Donald Trump, on the eve of the televised debates, declared himself to be a follower of Richard Nixon.

After all, he leads a merciless struggle against a woman who, 42 years ago, destroyed Nixon as a politician, somehow wresting his resignation from him.

And now she is trying to destroy the very Institution of the Presidency in the US, turning it into a golden cap of Bastinda to summon the flying monkeys and using their terrible destructive power to finish off the entire humanity.

And although Rodino’s commission investigating the participation of President Nixon in organizing the “wiretapping” of the National Democratic Committee, there was no evidence of his guilt, except for one half-hour recording missing from the tape, and the secretary of state Hillary Clinton destroyed 33 thousand (!) of her emails after receiving a subpoena for the transfer of these letters to the US Congress, but President Nixon resigned in 1974, and Hillary Clinton in 2016 was excused by the FBI.

What is whirling, whirling right now is the Trump presidency thanks to the Trump-Russia collusion that resembles the Watergate scandal.

True. Both were and are inside setup jobs (“false flags,” if you will) engineered by political opponents to remove a democratically elected sitting president. Poor Nixon never did figure it out, but Trump already has. Neither president is or was particularly above reproach or worth saving and arguably did and will deserve their fates. But the key point of concern is the methods used for their removal: behind the scenes blatantly false and illegal political machinations, which amount to little more than sophomoric high school student council tactics – aka, “we don’t like him”. Who pays for all this bullshit? We all do, as it delegitimizes the entire democratic process and system, as if it had any to spare in the first place. Be careful what you ask for lil’ j-bot. You just might get it!

There was a lot of shelling [by government forces] and aircraft were always over Douma at night — but on this night, there was wind and huge dust clouds began to come into the basements and cellars where people lived. People began to arrive here suffering from hypoxia, oxygen loss. Then someone at the door, a ‘White Helmet’, shouted ‘Gas!’ and a panic began. People started throwing water over each other. Yes, the video was filmed here, it is genuine, but what you see are people suffering from hypoxia – not gas poisoning.”

  53. FincaInTheMountains April 21, 2018 at 6:07 pm #

Americans lost confidence in the “established” media. Completely. And on the eve of the bombing of Syria, everyone sat in forums and social networks, which became the main source of information.

And all my interlocutors assured me that they knew in advance that Trump would bomb Syria. Personally for me it was a surprise, but maybe I was not feeling very well then and I missed the indications of the impending catastrophe. And maybe this is due to the fact that I realized – this time this bombing will not be a fixed wrestling match, like a year ago, and tried to hide from myself the inevitability of a catastrophe of universal proportions.

So, what struck me about it was that everyone knew about the warning of the chief of the Russian General Staff Gerasimov and the Russian ambassador to Lebanon, Alexander Zasypkin, that Russia would intercept any missiles launched by the United States at the Syria, and will be ready to strike at the points from where the missiles were fired. And not only knew, but apparently went to Wikipedia and looked up the biographies of these gentlemen.

Personally, I could not imagine such a thing a week ago.

And now imagine that after such shifts in consciousness they experienced, when in social networks and forums 15 minutes after Trump announced the beginning of the bombings, rumors started to spread that on the destroyer “Donald Cook” there is a strong explosion and the destroyer is sinking. And then rumors came that Russia destroyed 11 nuclear submarines of Great Britain and the United States and attacked the aircraft carrier Nimitz.

Personally, I am very glad that I did not endure that night.

In any case, purely from a military point of view, such a scenario looks more than likely. What’s the use of sinking a couple of destroyers and an aircraft carrier, and then sitting and waiting for a nuclear response or a quick global strike? But having lost 11 nuclear submarines and a couple of air carrier groups in the first minutes of war, the United States would be thinking hard about whether to respond with a rapid global strike.

Of course in a few minutes “it became known” that it was an accident on “Donald Cook” and no one died, and this discredited rumors about sunken nuclear submarines.

And I did not know anything about this and my imagination did not go further the sinking of Donald Cook and the relevant debate in Congress on the issue of declaring a nuclear war. But when General Mattis and General Dunford appeared for the first press conference, something similar arose in my imagination.

Mattis was pale as a wall, and when asked about the American losses in this operation, he replied that he did not know anything about losses, but became white as a sheet.

However, the suspicions that something extraordinary happened struck me when the live broadcast of the war stopped on almost all channels except CNN. It became clear that there was a Russian response, but it was so convincing that the American General Staff in the first few hours was thinking only of how to hide from the American public what had happened.

Now it is clear that the very fact of the interception of beautiful and smart missiles caused a shock, and the surrender of the smartest of the missiles probably continue to causes a shock even now.

But there was clearly something else that we do not know about, but that has changed the estimates of the military-strategic balance forever.

And the story of a British submarine off the coast of Syria, which the Russian “black hole” prevented from releasing of 20 cruise missiles, shows that panicky rumors of 11 sunken American nuclear submarines were justified.

Royal Navy submarine locked in ‘cat and mouse’ pursuit with pair of Russian hunter-killer subs dubbed ‘the Black Hole’
    https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/6057195/royal-navy-submarine-russian-the-black-hole-pursuit/

Nobody, of course, sank American submarines, but to show them that if they started the real action they would be sunk in the first 15 minutes, the Russians could.

    • JohnAZ April 21, 2018 at 7:58 pm #

The real danger to the cruise missiles is if the opponent has a way to scramble its guidance system Or worse to self destruct the missile. We have become so reliant on high tech that maybe the anti-high tech crypto-systems can make them blow up. They now have two of the missiles. Reverse engineering the control systems could really make them obsolete. Same with drones. We are going to rue the day when we made ourselves so reliant on computers. Is there any way we can sue all the IT groups for malpractice, or maybe sue ourselves for stupidity.

      • SpeedyBB April 22, 2018 at 8:44 pm #

This is so exquisite it is almost funny. A couple of pimply teenagers playing computer games, trying to jam one another’s systems.

It is the ultimate abstraction of war, which began with ‘long-throw’ weaponry. When you couldn’t see that your enemy was a frightened human being scrambling to survive, just like you, it was easier to aim ordnance at him (or his civilians, left behind).

Air war started off man-to-man. Then it evolved into thousand-bomber raids which were really quite impersonal – until bomber crews parachuting down into Germany were lined up and executed. Then, step by step, came the automation of both aircraft and the weaponry they launch.

With ICBMs we approach the most abstract form of combat. Also one easy to interfere with, often by unknown parties. Check out these old USAF officers complaints about missile fleets being shut down.

The Saker says that the Yanks fired a bunch of ineffective, expensive cruise missiles to blow up nothing of value in Syria in a symbolic strike in reaction to an obviously fake false flag chemical weapons attack in order to embarrass the Russians who the Yanks knew wouldn’t risk nuclear war by retaliating. But there is always a risk of human and technical error, right? Why are the Yanks so blithely risking nuclear war over nothing of importance? Also, rumor has it that Bolton and Trump deliberately wanted to kill Russians in the strike, but “Mad Dog” Mattis said “No”. By the way, who calls himself “Mad Dog” anyway?

I agree. Janos is an agent of d-man. But we already knew that!

“The American ruling class loves Identity Politics, because Identity Politics divides the people into hostile groups and prevents any resistance to the ruling elite. With blacks screaming at whites, women screaming at men, and homosexuals screaming at heterosexuals, there is no one left to scream at the rulers.

The ruling elite favors a “conversation on race,” because the ruling elite know it can only result in accusations that will further divide society. Consequently, the ruling elite have funded “black history,” “women’s studies,” and “transgender dialogues,” in universities as a way to institutionalize the divisiveness that protects them. These “studies” have replaced real history with fake history.”

      • Janos Skorenzy April 22, 2018 at 1:18 am #

Yes, they have funded all that, and ruthlessly persecuted advocates for the White Race. They want regular middle and lower class Whites to be downtrodden. And upper middle class Whites to be humble, do their job and be grateful to have one – and not to rock the boat.

So how do you figure me in all this since I advocate for the hated White Race. You’re not making much sense, are you?

Sure they want racial division – which already existed OF COURSE. So how do they maintain and increase it? Why, by favoritism of the smaller and weaker groups and persecution of Whites, the larger and stronger group. So again, how does what I do figure into their strategy? It doesn’t, fool.

Because you encourage misdirection and divisiveness, fool.

      • JohnAZ April 22, 2018 at 12:03 pm #

Good analysis. I would like to put a name on it. The Elite run the organization called the Deep State that uses the government of the no. 1 economy to organize the disorder you identify. The source of the propaganda used to create conflict, easy, the DNC and the RNC. The Deep State, federally sourced, manipulates both parties to keep the people divided , screaming invectives at each other, breaking up families and friends, and manipulating social media to fan the flames. A lot of people ask why the 2016 election caused so much animosity. Again, easy, social media made it easy. That is why a lot of the anti-Deep Staters are going to try to control Facebook et al down the road. And yes, anti-Deep Staters do exist.

Deep State, what do they want? Look at both sides of the aisle to find a clue. The ult Left elites want an endless supply of cheap labor who votes Left. The ult Right wants an endless supply of cheap labor that does not vote at all. Christia Freeland in Plutocracy said it well. The Plutocracy, the term Deep State was not used, are becoming internationalized to the point that USA is meaningless to them. They take their business to where they can get the best deal. NAFTA was obsolete the moment it was signed, as the Deep State was shifting the industries heading for Mexico to the Far East. Our proposed North American trade bloc never really congealed. Why? Because it wasn’t what the Elite ruling class wanted. All of them! So what do they want? The reduction of the Middle class enclaves such as the US and Europe to feudal economies. How to do it? Easy, flood them with immigrants that are serfs, from feudal societies. It is happening as we watch. And argue, and watch, and argue ad infinitum.

The Deep State wants the illegal immigration, not just the Democrats. The Koch Bros. Want unlimited immigration just as much as Soros. Their federal reps. Include Flake and McCain. An advocate from California on Tucker admitted it well one night by saying that the California goal was getting all the middle class out of California to make way for illegal immigrants. Wow, sounds almost like a declaration of war against the mainstream US. Yes, the key to halting the institution of a feudal elite versus serf condition, i.e. WMBH, is the large reduction of illegal immigration.

In other words, creation of an anti-elite, anti Plutocrat, anti-Deep State party that can eliminate the discord between the current parties enough to continue the Populism starting today. Yes, if Trumpism, not Trump himself necessarily, can assert itself, we will all benefit. Keeping him from backsliding is currently a primary concern.

Stop and start to unite to try to prevent the catastrophe that is on the horizon. You mentioned the death of Shakespeare in 1616 at age 52.

Remarkably enough he passed away the same day as Cervantes in Spain. The same day.

Hemingway and Celine died the same day in the summer of 1961 but it was Hemingway who got all the ink. These 2 WW1 vets did not know each other and were on the opposite ends of the political spectrum. Celine was a French nationalist who really had no use for American expat writers living in Paris and considered them poseurs.

Pew, After I posted the above, I realized I may have been unclear in describing my father-in-law’s death. He actually died in 1974 on the day and month I mentioned. I was just trying to show a near-coincidence on the 4/20-4/22 period.

Still, it was very thoughtful of you to offer your condolences, and I appreciate that. Mentioning Hitler’s birthday was part of the coincidence. I had no ulterior motive in bringing it up.

Speaking of anniveraries, my great uncle I never knew (my grandfather’s brother) a corporal in the 26th Yankee Division, 102 infantry, AEF, killed at the Battle of Seicheprey, April 20 1918. This was the first engagement on the western front between German and American forces. Germany was trying out new assault team tactics using weapons like the new Bergmann submachine gun, grenades and luger pistols in an attempt to break the trench stalemate on the western front. Also, they wanted to test the resolve of the AEF.

His body was brought back and buried in Bristol, CT.

Eric Kaufmann has a book coming out later this year called “Whiteshift: immigration, populism and the myth of majority decline”

Kaufmann studies white anxiety about immigration and its political manifestation in phenomena such as Brexit or the Trump vote; but he is not a detached scholar, impartially surveying his field. Instead, he seems to see it as his mission to advise elites on how they can best cajole whites into accepting their own ethnic extinction.

His specialty is A/B testing. He’ll find a group of goyim, present a message in two different ways and see which ones gives the better result. For him, the “better result” always seems to be defined as a willingness to accept more immigration.

Once you have the best of the initial two, you take the winner and pair it with another option, continuing to refine the message into optimal white genocide acceptance is achieved.

For example, he offers these options to British voters:

    (a) Increase skilled immigration from Africa and Asia, keeping net migration at 275,000, raising the skilled share from 40% to 50%.

    (b) Decrease skilled immigration from Africa and Asia, decreasing net migration from 275,000 to 125,000, lowering the skilled share from 40% to 20%.

He finds that the wording “from Africa and Asia” produces a much more negative response than “from outside Europe”, so policy makers should avoid this phrasing. He also finds that people don’t really care about the economic aspects of immigration – skilled or unskilled. They just say they do to avoid being called racists.

Then he throws in a bit about demographic projections.

:(a) Increase immigration from outside Europe, keeping net migration at 275,000, raising the skilled share from 40% to 50%. As a result, the White British share of the UK’s population will decline from 80% today to 58% in 2060.

    (b) Decrease immigration from outside Europe, decreasing net migration from 275,000 to 125,000, lowering the skilled share from 40% to 20%. As a result, the White British share of the UK’s population will decline from 80% today to 65% in 2060.

When the demographic projections are included, immigration acceptance falls dramatically. Again, policymakers should avoid this, he advises.

Kaufmann tries to find a message that can appeal to conservatives.

    (A) Immigration has risen and fallen over time, but, like the English language, Britain’s culture is only superficially affected by foreign influence. According to Professor X of the University of London, a large share of the children of European immigrants have become White British. Historians tell us that French, Irish, Jews and pre-war black immigrants largely melted into the white majority. Those of mixed race, who share common ancestors with White British people, are growing faster than all minority groups and 8 in 10 of them marry whites. In the long run, today’s minorities will be absorbed into the majority and foreign identities will fade, as they have for public figures with immigrant ancestors like Boris Johnson or Peter Mandelson. Britain shapes its migrants, migration doesn’t shape Britain.

    (B) Britain is changing, becoming increasingly diverse. The 2011 census shows that White British people are already a minority in four British cities, including London. Over a quarter of births in England and Wales are to foreign-born mothers. Young Britons are also much more diverse than older Britons. Just 4.5% of those older than 65 are nonwhite but more than 20% of those under 25 are. Minorities’ younger average age, higher birth rate and continued immigration mean that late this century, according to Professor Y, White British people will be in the minority. We should embrace our diversity, which gives Britain an advantage in the global economy.

He finds that the B message stressing diversity or demographic change alarms conservative voters.

Among conservative (Leave/UK Independence Party) voters, those who read the first passage were 20-35 points less willing to sacrifice 5 percent of their income to halt EU migration than UKIP/Leave voters reading the second or no passage.

The way to appeal to conservatives is by emphasising assimilation.

He also advises policymakers to use “constructive ambiguity” in their immigration messages. Or, to put it another way, say one thing to white people and another thing to brown people.

Kaufmann himself is a Mischling, a person of hybrid, including Jewish, ancestry.

In his final chapter, Kaufmann introduces his own background: a Canadian born in Hong Kong with Jewish, Chinese and Hispanic ancestry but who is, in effect, just another North American Anglo in most social situations. With this mixed heritage established, he proposes a cultural regeneration of America based around what he terms “liberal ethnicity”. He suggests that Wasp identity be accepted as just another ethnic option within the range of identities available for American people. He looks to a future in which the state is culturally neutral and all ethnic identities are expressed in cultural rather than racial terms, and are hence open to anyone who wishes to participate in them, on the understanding that those buying into a new culture do not expect it to change to suit them. He even postulates a future mixed-American identity, blending Anglo, African and Indian, akin to the fusion of Aztec and Spanish in Mexico.

But Kaufmann’s research into white genocide acceptance can also be weaponized for white genocide resistance. He identifies the weak point in the enemy fortress: facts or projections showing the extent of demographic change. Activists who obsess about these issues often mistakenly assume that by now everyone must know that almost every country in western Europe will be majority brown by the end of the century. But most normies just don’t.

For that reason, normie-targeted messaging should focus on demographics. “Unless a dramatic political rupture occurs within the next few decades, normie, your descendants will be ruled over for the rest of time by brown people who see them as racial adversaries. And there will be nowhere for them to retreat to when the diversity experiment fails.”

In other words, there’s a tsunami out at sea and most of its victims to be are casually collecting shells on the beach (“down by the seashore sifting sand” went the old song of yesteryear) blissfully unaware of the wave that will engulf them.

    • K-Dog April 22, 2018 at 4:57 am #

Research by Eric Kaufmann, Professor of Politics at Birkbeck University, which examines attitudes towards racism amongst British and American voters of different races and political persuasions. The research shows that:

A majority of British and American people of all races believe that white majority desires to reduce immigration can be motivated by racial self interest rather than racism – and that there is a crucial distinction.

White liberals are most likely to believe that whites who desire lower immigration to maintain their population share are racist – whilst white conservatives are most likely to believe that minorities who want more of ‘their own’ to immigrate are racist.

Political views are more important than race in determining a voter’s perception of group-based immigration preferences – for example, the divide between Remain and Brexit voters, as well as Trump and Clinton voters, on whether it is racist for whites to want to restrict immigration stretches to 70 points.

If that is confusing this helps:

73% of white Clinton voters say a White American who wants to reduce immigration to maintain her group’s share of the population is being racist, but just 11% of white Trump voters agree.

      https://policyexchange.org.uk/author/eric-kaufman/

And there will be nowhere for them to retreat to when the diversity experiment fails.”

Once again, whites would seem to have brought all this on themselves. And let’s face it, when it comes to survival of the physically fittest, we’re definitely not the top dogs in the ring. We’ve been using peoples of color for malicious purposes for centuries now, but it appears that the screw has finally been turned. Not that whites are even all that fond of their own. Once again, it all comes down to money, power, and political philosophy with regard to the exploitation of same. You either have them or you don’t. Skin color and ethnicity are almost irrelevant in comparison.

I jest as well as joust with you Janos. That was not an attack that was jest. Why? Because you are a fan of d-man that’s why and getting more specific than that would not be as much fun.

I actually walk by a nice independent coffeshop and tend to stop there before work these days. There is a Starbucks right across the street. I eat lunch at the same place Starbucks employees do, but that’s because I work very close to them.

What are you saying about white privilege? Privilege doesn’t have to be justified so I’ve nothing to say. You should know privilege needs no justification so what can be the matter with you? You might need a double shot of black something to get you flying right. A visit to Starbucks could help you out. Coffee is black, amongst another thing which could put you right. That other thing would definitely straighten you out. No question about that. Starbucks and homeless anybody don’t mix. A coffee and one of their ‘morning buns’ can set you back near ten bucks. The buns always look good, and not just in the morning. Indeed they are, but I’ve always considered the prices for Starbucks pastries obscene.

Yet to be fair, the place across the street is even more high end.

      • pequiste April 22, 2018 at 8:28 am #

And sometimes it’s just nice to walk into a place; any old place that offers the black wine; place an order to a polite counter person, wait a short period of time and get served – without fanfare, politics, guilt or a raging ripoff – a fucking cup of decent tasting coffee. Possibly to go.

        God in Heaven!

Could we make such a simple activity any more difficult with this bloody political correctness stupidity already?

” I’ve always considered the prices for Starbucks pastries obscene.”

        Dog,
        I do not doubt that the prices are obscene, however not nearly as obscene as your suggestion to Janos;

“of black something to get you flying right. A visit to Starbucks could help you out. Coffee is black, amongst another thing which could put you right. That other thing would definitely straighten you out”

        Offered in jest…and so taken.

      • Janos Skorenzy April 22, 2018 at 1:52 pm #

Just think of how many homeless Blacks you could be helping by putting them up in your home. If you would do that, you wouldn’t need to spend all that money on bad coffee. You would be wide awake all the time.

I don’t have to justify why you should do this. You have to justify why you don’t. That’s what it means to be a Liberal.

Russians are narrow-minded, nationalistic, conservative, even reactionary, brutal and drunken beings sometimes given to poetic and artistic creative flashes.”

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov : Russian leader Vladimir Putin and his American counterpart Donald Trump 100% will not let things to come to a military confrontation.

“Coming back to the issue of the risks of a military confrontation, I assume 100% the fact that the military will not allow this, and of course, neither President Putin nor, I’m sure, President Trump, will allow it,” Lavrov said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

The minister added that Putin and Trump are the leaders who were elected by their peoples, “they are responsible to these nations’ peace and tranquility.”

Lavrov also announced the readiness of the Russian side to meet with the leader of the United States.

      But!

      Better safe than sorry:

Moscow. 20 April. INTERFAX.RU – Several cargo ships entered the Syrian port of Tartus, where the logistics base of the Russian Navy is located, the Australian media reported on Friday.

According to reports, unloading takes place under the cover of a smoke screen and aerosol gas, designed to block the view from satellites and drones.

In recent days, military analysts and observers have monitored the movement of ships as they passed through the Black Sea and the Bosporus Strait into the Mediterranean.

Yesterday, a very interesting article appeared on the situation with the British nuclear submarine off the coast of Syria, which on April 13, the Russian diesel-electric submarine prevented from the release of 20 missiles.

This article confirms my hypotheses in the explanation of what additional measures were taken by the Russians described in the previous post. It turns out that the British submarine was integrated into a single system of protection for American nuclear submarines, and the unexpected surfacing of the Russian submarine was a signal to them all, unless, of course, such a submarine surfaced next to each of them.

    http://nationalinterest.org/blog/the-buzz/did-russias-diesel-submarines-really-hunt-down-british-25464

The attack on Syria occurred not only on Friday the thirteenth, but also in the 814th anniversary of the capture and monstrous plundering of Constantinople, including numerous cases of abuse of Christian shrines in the churches of Constantinople. This alone says that this attack was not coordinated between Trump and Putin as it was a year ago.

If Trump controlled this operation, he would have chosen any other day.

And one can’t consider a coincidence the receipt of two black marks by Tramp at once on the eve of the attack on Syria – a fire in the Trump Tower and a search in the office of his personal lawyer – just because of a great desire to deny the existence of a Deep State.

No, of course the red lines in Syria were agreed on with the Americans, but they were coordinated by the US Defense Secretary Mattis and the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dunford, who gave the order a month ago to raid the CIA headquarters in Langley.

And Trump that day was even afraid to call them, and did the right thing.

But even more interesting rumor was in connection with Russia’s counter-sanctions. There is a statement about the possibility of refusing to recognize the copyright of American firms caused a slight panic in Microsoft. And it’s not pirated software, which on the territory of Russia was trading quite open for quite some time.

The fact is that Russia possesses the collection of source codes in C++ of all versions of Windows and now Russian programmers can not only compile them, but sell improved versions of Windows, including erasing the spy routines. And they can now create Windows on the basis of Pentium-Pro, which is generally Russian processor of Mr. Babayan, in which there are no backdoors.

And becoming a design bureau for China instead of the US.

      Interesting post!

I am not real familiar with cyber security but it seems to me that the screens and secrets between nations are breaking down due to increasing ease of hacking through the security systems. Sloppy document control , such as HRC showed, just aggravates the situation. What happens for example when all the political party’s data bases and communication are wide open to the world and there are no secrets. I think all the fury displayed with Russiagate, Facebook etc. is a reaction by the entire political system, especially the Deep State, to the fact that nothing is a secret anymore. A sidebar is that with the NSA as active as it is, he who controls the NSA controls the data base for the nation, is really a scary idea.

That website looks like it might have merit. I say that only because on the same page as the story about the diesel Russian sub you linked to in your post, they were prominently recommending another on THE 5 BEST SHOTGUNS IN THE WORLD that immediately grabbed my attention. If it did not include my Mossberg 500 among the five, how could I possibly have any confidence in the Russian sub article or anything else? Score! They passed my acid test for reliable journalism!

Here is their list of the 5 BEST SHOTGUNS IN THE WORLD (in alphabetical order):

      • Benelli M2 Tactical; from Benelli Armi SpA, a subsidiary of Beretta;
a somewhat larger, semi-automatic shotgun than the 1301
      • Beretta 1301; a new generation of semi-automatic combat shotguns
      • Mossberg 500; U.S. military pedigree pump-action shotgun series;
includes the most recent Mossberg 590
      • Remington 870; the venerable manual, pump action shotgun
      • Winchester Model 1897; pump-action shotgun;
by prolific American firearms designer John Moses Browning

Note the next to last sentence on the value of shotguns in urban or jungle environments. (I’ll leave it right there.)

“A shotgun is a firearm, typically a long arm that is fired from the shoulder, that instead of a single bullet fires a number of smaller pellets. Shotguns are chiefly sporting arms, useful for hunting birds or other small, fast-moving game, but also have military and civilian self-defense uses. The ability to project a devastating pattern of lead or steel shot to short ranges is also valuable in urban or jungle environments. This makes a properly fitted out shotgun an excellent weapon for home defense or close quarters combat.”

Yes it really sucks when they nail it doesn’t it!

Carl Rove put it best when he said “We’re an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you’re studying that reality—judiciously, as you will—we’ll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that’s how things will sort out. We’re history’s actors…and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do”.

Nut-ball conspiracy-theorists don’t deal with hard facts. The Saker deals only with facts and because he does he is open to overwhelming criticism if he gets any of his facts wrong. I got the quote above from his blog as I was just there. Arrogant warmongers have the saving grace of being stuck on themselves so they make statements such as Rove’s and give themselves away.

Or do you wish to say Rove never said what the Saker quoted.
You are part of the empire so you can make any reality you want right? What’s it going to be?

And all you can com up with is

He lost me at “Anglo-Zionist psychopaths”. Typical anti-Israel propaganda. Sorry (actually I’m not), but his rhetoric is not a fact, just an opinion. As you know, Keith, one man’s terrorist is another’s freedom fighter.

If, at any time in the last 70 years, Israel said that is eschewing violence and would not retaliate against attacks, how long would it have taken to wipe it off the face of the Earth? Maybe if it’s enemies we’re particularly lethargic at that time, it might have taken most of a day.

Personally, I’m sick and tired of people blaming Israel for every bad thing in the world. I’ll not waste any more effort defending it from no-nothings. If you want to experience the truth instead of reading other people’s blogs, why don’t you visit Israel for awhile and see what’s what yourself (Janos is going to have a field day with this post. But of course, he is one ignorant, twisted and deluded motherfucker.)

Calling him a nut ball conspiracy theorist feeds the bullshit narrative and the bullshit narrative is getting people killed. It is time to move on from the bullshit. Israel is a minor player in the current bullshit and accusing people of blaming Israel for every bad thing in the world is your agenda not mine.

Tread lightly. I am a pro-semite dog who hates aggressive Zionists because they degrade a noble and refined culture. Your suggestion I need to visit Israel is insulting. I went to this thing called a library just before this thing called the internet came along doing some personal research. An activity of mine which should come as no surprise to anyone here.

I did not need anybody to tell me what the difference in lifestyles is between an ethnic group with an annual per capita income of over twenty two thousand dollars a year (this was many years ago) vs another ethnic group which only had a per capita income LESS THAN 3 thousand dollars a year living in the same land before the walls went up.

The thought that one might be oppressing the other comes to mind. I’ll leave it to you Bill to tell the rest of us here if it was the Hebrews who were making less than 3000 a year or the Palestinians.

          • akmofo April 23, 2018 at 6:44 am #

You can go to the library all you want and still have mash for brains. An educated idiot. Why not compare the per capita earnings in next door in Egypt and exlplain the Hebrew oppression there. You can do the same for the Arab world.

          • akmofo April 23, 2018 at 7:28 am #

And why stop at the Arab world? Why not China? Or India? Or Latin America? I’m sure the Hebrews Are at fault for the low per capita earnings there too.

The Saker is right: Israel must not be allowed to wag the dog anymore, but rather pay for their proxy war directly.

      The Saker:

Indeed, if things get that far (and we’re probably 48 hours and one White Helmets’ video away from it) then the only thing that realistically stands a chance of stopping the racist Anglo-Zionist psychopaths in their tracks is if the Russian attack and its result are such a devastating show of ‘shock and awe’ as to make it impossible for them to ignore a simultaneous public warning by Putin to Netanyahu that any further US hostile response will place Israel directly in the firing line as well.

End of the review of Professor’s Hardin’s book on population control. JS.

    Solutions

Welfare, of course, only encourages feckless whelping. It would be foolhardy to point out that this is a disproportionately non-white failing, and Prof. Hardin is brave but not foolhardy. Living Within Limits is therefore tentative about solutions, but all its suggestions are sound.

Prof. Hardin discusses the evils of immigration, whereby rich countries suffer because poor countries cannot control their populations. He is also adamantly opposed to the debilitating “diversity” that immigration inflicts on the United States. True diversity requires separation rather than amalgamation. Population control is a national, not a global problem, and each nation must take responsibility for its own policies.

Optimists believe that voluntary contraception will eventually end reckless procreation but Prof. Hardin explains that contraception is self-limiting. Even when it is available to all, only people with foresight and self-restraint practice it. Whether the effect is genetic or environmental, women from large families go on to have large families of their own. Therefore, voluntary contraception only reduces the number of people who are wise enough to control reproduction, and as their numbers dwindle, they are replaced by intemperate breeders. “Like it or not,” writes Prof. Hardin, “the issue of coercion must be faced” — but he does not face it.

Something else he only hints at is the dysgenic effect of voluntary population control. As Prof. Arthur Jensen has pointed out, a certain level of intelligence is required for any means of reproductive control, and stupid people are incapable of it. Without coercion, Prof. Hardin’s message will be heard and acted on — voluntarily — by those who are already having too few babies to replace themselves.

Today, the people who worry most about “saving the planet” are intelligent white people. Most of them are socialist dreamers who never think about population, but eventually they will heed Prof. Hardin’s message. Although they will go to any extreme to save Spotted Owls or Snail Darters, they are blind to the necessity of preserving human diversity. They are perfectly prepared to let Europeans be displaced by North Africans, and white Americans by blacks and Hispanics. Thus, in the absence of coercion, it will be whites who gamely curtail their reproduction only to be replaced by Africans and Hispanics, who are the ones reproducing at rates that threaten the planet.

Although Prof. Hardin says nothing about this, population control is not just a matter of numbers but of quality. To quote Lenin — of all people — “better fewer but better.” In a world of strictly voluntary population control, whites will do away with themselves for two reasons: First, they are the only people who have lost their sense of racial solidarity and are therefore the only people willing — even eager — to lose ground to other races. Second, it is only they who show real concern about the planet and its resources. Whites will do their ecological duty even if it means their replacement by others. Of course, their sacrifice will have been in vain, since the peoples who supplant them will not scruple to plunder the planet.

Indeed, the issue of coercion must be faced, and the sooner the better.

Specifically, I do not like The Saker repeating the Blood Libel of the Black Project against President Roosevelt regarding him letting the Japs sinking the fleet at Pearl Harbor, killing 3000 American sailors, supposedly to overcome the public reluctance of interfering in the European war against Hitler.

Objectively speaking it was quite the opposite – the loss of significant number of American battleships only played into the hands of Hitler, keeping US from coming to the help of Great Britain and later, Russia.

The 29-year-old hero from Waffle House shooting: ‘I saw the opportunity and I took it’

    https://www.tennessean.com/story/news/crime/2018/04/22/waffle-house-shooting-hero-stopped-shooter/540061002/

“A 29-year-old man credited with saving numerous lives Sunday morning after he disarmed a man who opened fire on an Antioch Waffle House said he was just trying to stay alive.

“James Shaw Jr., 29, said after feeling cornered he saw an opportunity to tackle the man shooting into an Antioch Waffle House. He said he doesn’t feel like a hero.

Police spokesman Don Aaron told reporters Sunday morning that the Waffle House hero rushed the suspected shooter, disarmed him and threw the AR-15 rifle he was carrying over the counter.

“‘I don’t really know, when everyone said that (of being a hero), it feels selfish,’ Shaw Jr. ‘I was just trying to get myself out. I saw the opportunity and pretty much took it.'”

Make sure to click through for the full story.

“The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun,” so they say. Usually, a statement that definitive is expected to come with some kind of evidence. Failing that, it should at least come in for re-examination when something in the real world contradicts it as clearly as this incident does.

You’d think, but I’ll lay money you’d be wrong. The claim about stopping bad guys with guns can’t be disproved any more than it can be proved, because it isn’t about facts — it’s a profession of faith, and what’s more, faith in a notably blind and pitiless god that hungers for what we hold most dear.

Congratulations and best wishes to Mr. Shaw, and peace to the victims in Antioch, TN and their bereaved friends and loved ones. Take care of yourselves and each other, everyone.

In other words, he got lucky and/or the shooter wasn’t very aware. He could have just as easily gotten shot – and that is the likelier outcome of the shooter has his wits about him and/or is trained.

James Shaw noticed that the shooter’s weapon had either jammed or was out of ammunition. What do you wanna bet that Shaw had familiarity with firearms? If this had happened in NYC, how many people would have responded similarly? LOL

      • Elrond Hubbard April 22, 2018 at 10:52 pm #

Huh? What do I wanna bet? What if this had happened in NYC?

“‘What if they come after us?’ said Mr Bucket, speaking for the first time.

“‘What if they capture us?’ said Mrs Bucket.

“‘What if they shoot us?’ said Grandma Georgina.

“‘What if my beard were made of green spinach?’ cried Mr Wonka. ‘Bunkum and tummyrot! You’ll never get anywhere if you go about what-iffing like that.'” — Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator, Roald Dahl

Seriously, Tate, what are you talking about? Those are two things you just made up. They’re not what happened. You’re just trying to throw mud in my eye.

I don’t care how much you personally prefer the smell of the things you pull out of your ass — those of us who want to be of any use in this world deal with what’s real.

          By the way…

Tate: “James Shaw noticed that the shooter’s weapon had either jammed or was out of ammunition.”

… Did you notice that this actually demonstrates my point that the “only thing” catechism is bullshit? It’s also the one part of your response that you didn’t make up.

          • Tate April 23, 2018 at 12:40 am #

Did you notice that this actually demonstrates my point that the “only thing” catechism is bullshit?

Straw man, you’re lying. I didn’t say that. You’ll never hear that from me. As long as I can still cover 20 feet in two seconds or less, I don’t even need a fucking gun. But some people might. Whatever rocks your boat. As far as the other things, I was going from news reports I read. Were you there? Well, neither was I but It seems reasonable to me that he did notice those things and took advantage.

          • Tate April 23, 2018 at 12:43 am #

And it seems to me that in NYC where there is less familiarity with firearms than in Tennessee, it would have been less likely that someone would have stepped forward as Shaw did.

          • Elrond Hubbard April 23, 2018 at 6:59 am #

Tate: “Straw man, you’re lying. I didn’t say that.”

Your reading comprehension is lacking if you what you go out of that is I’m somehow trying to put words in your mouth.

Tate: “It seems reasonable to me that he did notice those things and took advantage.”

That is, he dealt with a bad guy with a gun without having a gun himself. Giving the lie to the arms-race logic that gun enthusiasts insist on visiting on everyone else, he met the threat with actual courage, instead of a substitute penis of his own. That actually happened.

Tate: “And it seems to me” etc.

Like I keep saying, what’s relevant is what actually happened. Using “it seems to me” is snowflake behaviour — trying to protect yourself against facts, because what matters is how you feel.

EH, as if it weren’t obvious, t was speaking of the particular case, not the general. In that particular case, in close quarters in a Waffle House, a gun may not provide any more an advantage than one’s bare hands. In many other situations, such as the long corridors in a school, a gun is an ideal defensive weapon. Whose reading comprehension suffers again?

But you want to disarm the entire populace, don’t you? The weak, disabled, disadvantaged. You would have them cowering in fear while your administrators & bureaucrats turn a blind eye to their insecurity and to the encroaching social rot that all their happy double-talk cannot remedy.

Your Waffle House example doesn’t give the lie to anything except in your limited imagination. You really think a gun is a substitute penis? Just more discredited retro pop psychology. Can’t you come up with something more original? Yawn.

On this Sunday evening, my head again is whirling, whirling.

Not from the foul corruption of the political sewer rats from the Cesspool-on- the-Potomac; although that gives me the dry heaves just thinking about it.

Nope; tonight the brain is boggled by the sheer fucking stupidity of some of the law enforcement agencies and criminal ” justice” “system” of this nation.

First comes the news of the Waffle House shooting near Nashville Tennessee. The suspect was only arrested by the Secret Service in July 2017 for breaching the White House security perimeter. What? You say he did what!?

    https://www.cnn.com/2018/04/22/us/waffle-house-shooter-white-house/index.html

Yes, and was given community service for his efforts and also had his AR-15 returned to him after getting his diploma for completing the program.

The murderer should have been given, after his White House exploits, a few years hard labor in the Aleutian Islands which might have been more therapuetic in relieving the evil bastard of his desire to harm innocent persons.

When they catch him he needs to be put down like a rabid animal.

Then the unbelievable tale of the young fellow in Cincinnati, Kyle Plush, who died trapped in his minivan.

    https://www.cincinnati.com/story/news/2018/04/13/kyle-plush-what-we-know-how-he-died/512546002/

The 911 dispatcher could not be bothered to give the police patrol the description of the vehicle the kid was trapped in although that and a clear explanation of the location had been given by the victim.

And the police, well they wouldn’t have seen much of anything – not leaving their patrol car during the perfunctory patrol of the school parking lot. And way too much effort would have had to have been expended to ask the dispatcher for a description of the vehicle.

My disbelief at such incompetence is only validated by hearing the lamest of explanations and apologies provided by the local agency spokespersons and politicians.

    Just fucking disgusting.

And during the hearing about this tragedy, a Black Councilman, perhaps bored at the length of the hearing, suddenly interjected, telling the family that they were never going to be happy, no matter how much money they got. No one had said anything about money up to this point.

One of the police was heard to be grumbling about how the kids had better cars than they did as they aimlessly drove around the lot.

      P.

      Take a look around you.

every major American city — even relatively wealthy ones like San Francisco and Portland — have in the past 50 years devolved into something resembling the 3rd world, dangerous, dirty, and corrupt. The wealthy white libs who live in these places wall themselves off from the rot in their luxury highrises with private security and chauffered limos.

In the 3rd world, nothing works, nothing is on the level, everything is broken down and decrepit. Why should Cincinnati or Nashville operate with any more efficiency than Dhakka or Calcutta?

Get used to the dysfunction in these American cities, it only going to get worse; forget about what they were in the past, that’s gone.

No. Mr. Rove’s statement says that actions will be taken which will not be explained thus excluding the wishes of all others. That is not justice. Justice is inclusive, it does not and can not exclude. Justice does not shape-shift and jump from one false reality to another. Justice is characteristic of the one true reality or it simply does not exist because it characterizes the health of human relations.

Personally I think being placed in an environment to create justice is why we are here but I realize this is my personal aberration.

What would you do if in such a position? Note that the US has never [openly] attacked a nuclear armed nation.

Donald J Trump is the reality show president who wants the spotlight on DJT. In his self infatuation he is able to be played by Kim. Played like a fiddle. Trump is weak.
