Markets shrugged off the Brexit vote in a couple of days. They shrugged off Donald Trump’s election in a single day. They shrugged off the Italian referendum result in a couple of hours. Heck, in this mood they would shrug off an alien invasion of planet Earth.”

— Albert Edwards, Société Générale

At this time of year, only the hardest, coldest heart can fail to show good will to fellow man. That said, the silvery orb of Donald Trump’s post-election honeymoon may set sooner than expected as Ms. Yellin prepares to hoist her interest rate petard this week. Even a modest up-bump in the Fed Funds Rate is liable to prang the orgy of corporate share buybacks fueling the eight-year bull market that many formerly sane observers think is a permanent feature of the human condition. The bond market bull also seemed to last a lifetime and that’s gone south now, too.

Poor Trump’s mammoth ego has led him by the snout into a deadfall trap. The Trumpublican voters and cheerleaders expect another Morning in America miracle. Sorry, been there, done that, that was then, this is now. Conditions were quite different in 1981. For one thing, a brutal decade after the 1970 all-time US oil production peak, the Alaska North Slope fields came into full flow, along with the North Sea and Siberian fields.

The Alaska bonanza did not boost US production back to 1970 levels, but it did take the leverage away from OPEC, and it stuffed the elevated price-per-barrel back down to levels that an industrial economy could tolerate. The rest of the Reagan miracle was accomplished with debt. The case was similar for Mrs. Thatcher over in the UK. She was not an economic magician, just the beneficiary of a brief oil boom that made Britain a net energy exporter for two decades, providing an illusion of permanent prosperity and cover for the financialization of the economy. Now, with the North Sea oil playing out, all that’s left is the banking necromancy in Threadneedle Street.

Reagan also came in at the height of Fed Chair Paul Volker’s war on inflation, when the interest rate on the ten-year US treasury bond topped at 15 percent in September of 1981. Imagine paying 18 percent interest rates on your mortgage! How was that a good thing? Well, it wasn’t, not at all, it was a very bad thing for a while — but for Lucky Ronnie Reagan it meant interest rates had nowhere to go but down. And because bond prices correlate opposite to rates, the value of bonds had nowhere to go but up, which they did for 30-odd years until right now. And all that time, the world bond market couldn’t get enough of them — also till now, when big holders like China and Saudi Arabia are puking them back out.

When Reagan stepped in the national debt was only (only!) about half a trillion dollars. It will be over $20 trillion when Trump hangs his golden logo on the White House portico. Oh, by the way, consider that a trillion dollars is a thousand billion dollars and a billion dollars is a thousand million dollars. Just so you know. Reagan had room for plenty of government finance monkey business. Trump has no room. Bush One, Clinton, Bush Two and Obama dug the deadfall debt trap for poor Donald and the election shoved him right into it. He thinks he’s on an upper floor of his enchanted tower; he’s actually down in a pit.

Trump thinks he’s going to rebuild highways and bridges for another century of Happy Motoring — to make America like it was in 1962 forever. Fuggeddabowdit. The bond market is poised for collapse as I write, and Trump’s money people (that is, the Goldman Sachs gang he has assembled) are talking about issuing fifty and 100 year “Build America” bonds. Their nostrils must be rimed with the frost of Medellin.

They’re certainly not going to accomplish this trick by raising taxes. On who? Corporations? Ha! The One Percent? Double-Ha! Everyone else? Pitchforks and torches!

American oil companies can no longer make a buck doing their thing. Exxon-Mobil’s U.S. production business lost $477 million in the third quarter, the seventh straight quarter in the red. Why? Because it costs a lot more to get the stuff out of the ground than it did ten years ago, and that high cost is bankrupting oil companies and industrial economies. That is the stealth action of Peak Oil that so many people pretend is not happening. It will ultimately destroy the banking system.

The disappointment issuing from this dire set of circumstances is apt to be epic as Trump flounders and the furious tweets of futility waft out of the hole he’s trapped in. Christmas will be over, and with it the hopes of a retail reprieve. Gasoline may remain cheap, but the little people won’t be able to buy the cars to run it in. Or buy much of anything else. Not even tattoos. We’ll soon discover the temperamental difference between Donald J. Trump and Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

A Christmas Orphan

Ho ho ho! It’s that time of year again. Here’s JHK’s holiday classic: A Christmas Orphan.

11-year-old Jeff Greenaway hears his mom and dad argue one night after an office Christmas party. He infers from their garbled exchange that he is an orphan, found in a willow basket on the welcome mat outside their New York apartment. Thinking now that his parents are imposters, he steals away to Grand Central Station and buys a train ticket to Drakesville, Vermont, where he intends to start life all over again.

“At this time of year, only the hardest, coldest heart can fail to show good will to fellow man.”

I was in upstate New York last week and found the upstate people most friendly. Not a cold heart did I meet and I had a great trip. Returning to Seattle by way of JFK I found the skyline of New York City is now ruined by 432 Park Avenue. America’s premier city now has a very ugly tattoo and with Trump, America also has an ugly tattoo on its ass!

Trying to post this comment was very difficult. It looks to me like a denial of service attack is going on!

I noticed you had a great interview at the American Herald Tribune yesterday. That website is listed in the ‘propornot’ Fake News list so I speculate you may have attracted some harassment.

When you think about the fake news list, the intent behind it may have been to target sites for harassment. Do you really tell people not to look at an elephant in the room if you don’t want them to notice it? They will be sure to look and can’t help looking.

Trumpxuberance will have a least a two year run if the Sacks of Gold man crew can keep the funny money pumping through the financial world. And it is those same same people (Sacks of Gold men -Vampire squids) who gave us the $20 Trillion debt and Dow at 19K + are now (particularly after the inauguration) in the hunt for Dow 40,000 and a $40 Trillion debt to ensure when this sucka goes down it will be EPIC.

The money masters will be safely ensconced in Cayman Islands; Tahiti; and Switzerland and don’t give a flying fuck about the actual timing because short of the N. Korean nutjob going full retard, the(ir) plan will go forward. And it is irrespective of The Donalds’ fulminations about cancelled contracts with Boeing or the F-35 being such a colossal waste of resources and the extreme vetting of immigrants. The new president is just along for the ride, on top of the bucking bronco that is.

In the good news department it is liberating to be without mobile phone and internet for three weeks.

Additionally I could encourage the CFN to visit Lisbon, Portugal and see how a mature, world-class city does mass transit: exceptionally well by my reckoning. And the alimentation, and the wine, and the scenery and about the friendliest and nicest people I have have the pleasure to meet. Anywhere.

‘When Reagan stepped in the national debt was only (only!) about half a trillion dollars.’

A sobering fact. Now that debt is 40x what it was. Or 42x.

    • BeerBarrel December 12, 2016 at 11:25 am #

I remember going over the numbers during Reagan’s era –

For each of the eight years Reagan was in the WH, he operated on a deficit of $200B for the arms buildup (MX-18, etc.) Nearly a 2 trillion dollar debt increase by Reagan alone.

      • lsjogren December 12, 2016 at 3:11 pm #

Our whole system is set up to reward a president who keeps the pyramid scheme going. Both Hillary and Trump were intent on doing so and Trump probably even more brazenly than Hillary.

The goal is to keep the economy chugging on new debt so long as you are in office and hope that someone else is in power when the thing finally comes crashing down.

      • DrTomSchmidt December 12, 2016 at 8:31 pm #

It was mostly waste, I will grant you. Still, Reagan’s defense build up and the Saudi-engineered oil price collapse broke the back of the Soviet economy and ended the cold war. That might be worth 1.6 Trillion in new debt.

Now, if we had had a REAL peace dividend in the 90s, spending the money we wasted on poking hornets’ nests over in the middle east on rebuilding, as JHK says, our rail system that would embarrass the Bolivians, we might have profited from that investment. But CIA man Bush told April Glaspie to tell Saddam he could invade, and then he put troops in Somalia that Clinton kept there, and before long the peace dividend was gone. We spent it to give Francis Fukuyama and company the illusion of the end of history.

It must have felt GREAT to be unchallenged boss of the world from 1991 to today. But as Chris Rock said in another context, “every day I check my mailbox for my OJ check: nothing.” Just the same with my rulers running the world.

Soon, it won’t feel too good to be the king.

“American oil companies can no longer make a buck doing their thing. Exxon Mobil’s American production lost $477 billion in the third quarter, the seventh straight quarter in the red.”

They may have lost money in the U.S., but they more than made up for it from overseas production. Their quarterly earnings were as follows:

    9/30/16 $2.65 bil.

    6/30/16 $1.7 bil

    3/31/16 $1.8 bil.

    12/31/15 $2.78 bil.

Last year Exxon made “only” $16.5 billion as a result of low oil prices. In 2015 they raked in $32.5 billion.

It likely would have helped their U.S. business if they hadn’t paid $30 billion to acquire XTO (a natural gas producer) when gas was selling for over $10 / MCF. They made the CEO of XTO a billionaire. He is now part owner of the Texas Rangers baseball club.

    • Cold N. Holefield December 12, 2016 at 11:32 am #

XTO is a fracking company. Let’s call it what it is. Natural Gas Producer is euphemistic.

It gets even worse. Many of the wells XTO exploited they bought from Exxon Mobil for pennies on the dollar since the Easy Oil was depleted. XTO had the latest and greatest technology and process for extracting any remaining oil and for fracking Natural Gas. A couple of decades later, XTO sells it all back to Exxon for an infinitely greater amount than XTO initially paid for the wells. It was a Money Tree.

      • zekesdad December 12, 2016 at 3:27 pm #

A fracking company is one that subcontracts to oil and gas production companies to fracture rock such as Frac Tech. Fracking is simply a tool to enhance production, just as acidizing or water flooding are, and has been around since the 1940s. It’s quite safe, and the hazardous chemicals used in the process are used below the water table and separated from it by impermiable rock, and then pumped out. There is no euphemism in calling a company that produces natural gas a natural gas producer. I don’t know XTO in detail, but I’d bet they bought production and leases from others besides XOM. I think we both agree that XTO and its CEO made out like bandits when they sold out to Exxon at the top of the market. Contrast that to the CEO of Chesapeake Energy who kept leasing and drilling all the time gas prices were plummeting. If somebody offers you a stupid amount of money, sometimes the best thing to do is to sell.

        • Cold N. Holefield December 13, 2016 at 7:56 am #

If the preponderance of the remaining America Natural Gas is trapped in the rocks, then a “producer” is, for all intents and purposes, a “Fracker.” Just because they subcontract out the technique doesn’t mean it’s not the core of their business. They are Frackers. Their profit is derived from Fracking, and bullshit, Fracking is not “quite safe.” Aside from Fracking being unsafe, you have to chuckle when you read this article. Tillerson is gung-ho about Fracking, for all the obvious reasons, but not when the blight of it is at his doorstep. What a fucking hypocrite. Fracking is good as long as you keep it adjacent to, or in, the communities of The Little People. Let them lose their souls — they’re animals anyway.

          http://www.wsj.com/articles/SB10001424052702304899704579391181466603804

Yes, XTO purchased many leases, not all of them from Exxon Mobil. I agree with your implication that Tillerson is not as great a businessman as many claim him to be. Being the head of the largest Oil Company on the planet is kind of like taking candy from a baby, meaning we, the ultimate captive customers, have no choice. It’s why the oil companies should be nationalized. There is no competition or free market when it comes to oil or any fossil fuel. To keep it “private” is theft, pure and simple.

        • orbit7er December 13, 2016 at 10:21 am #

Fracking is proven to cause Earthquakes – ie see Oklahoma recently and also scientific evidence compiled in Colorado which proves the causation. Which only makes sense – if you are messing around with shale rocks pulverizing them and pulling out oil then you are likely to cause geological disturbances.
Just as in Florida, constant lowering of the watertable under the limestone and sand Florida floats on causing the ubiqituous sinkholes like one across the street from my mother’s old house

  9. Walter B December 12, 2016 at 11:34 am #

Monsieur Edwards makes a good point about markets shrugging off any and everything. Easy to do when it is all just BS to begin with, a rigged game run by charlatans and thieves. The regular people in the world are pretty good at shrugging off everything as well (perhaps not the loss of the ability to tattoo however) and so I find myself often wondering whether or not this rigged game can go on forever. Debt may continue to grow to levels well beyond belief without any noticeable consequence, because you must remember, the consequences of over indebtedness are only manifested once those who hold the debt call it in. Until then, if this ever actually occurs, the slow and mind numbing decay can continue to swell and stink forever. Now THAT is the real doom for calamity and collapse would, on the other hand, bring blessed relief and actual entertainment for some of us.

  10. orbit7er December 12, 2016 at 11:40 am #

Great commentary today! As my Environmental and progressive groups go crazy with Trumps claims he will restore coal, pipelines, fracking and tear their hair out that we will fry the planet I have warned about the Peak Oil effects. The NYTimes had an interesting little graph of US CO2 emissions which have slightly INCREASED or stayed level under the supposed anti Global Warming crusader Obama. The sad fact is what really put a dent in CO2 emissions was the 2008 financial crash….Which I agree with Kunstler is coming again in spades…( or perhaps shovels, pitchforks and guns…)
I disagree with an earlier commenter here that the Goldman Sachs wizards will goose the economy for 2 years of Trump.. I just don’t think they can do it… The QE is over, Fed rates are going up, there is going to be no way to hide the disasters coming…
Peak Oil has been the major blind spot of 350.org and the electric car Enviros who just don’t get it that fracked oil cannot solve Peak Oil issues, just make oil too expensive to continue Happy Motoring as usual. And electric cars are way too expensive along with the noisy noxious leaf-blowers, squads of Hispanic lawn maintenance crews, etc etc. AND the robots for fast food pushed by Trump’s proposed Labor Dept nominee Andy Puzder. NPR had the usual cornucopian commentary by Andy Puzder how robots would eliminate all those fastfood workers crusading for $15 per hour…
    Ain’t gonna happen…

“Gasoline may remain cheap, but the little people won’t be able to buy the cars to run it in. Or buy much of anything else.”

    ********

What if the reason for cheap gasoline is because demand is down because people don’t have a job to drive to and fro everyday?

Without a job to drive to, you don’t have money to spend anywhere you COULD drive to?

In addition, many of the jobs in the “New Economy” don’t pay enough to maintain a motor vehicle, let alone buy one.

So this is another variable for the peak oil equation that could serve as a head fake to confuse people.

    • jim e December 13, 2016 at 6:25 am #

  12. trolleybill December 12, 2016 at 12:08 pm #

Well Jim Saudi & Russia may have agreed to cutting their flow of oil back which caused our fracking efforts to go belly up. I’m no fan of fracking and a proponent of mass transit preferably light rail everywhere. I’ve researched the history of the interurban and see it as a solution to the coming oil shortage, vehicle cost and pollution / global warming. As a newly retiree N.E. Ohio transplant now in N.E. Florida I would on the small but adequate pension luv to have a nicer bigger passenger rail. They do give seniors a hefty discount and would travel a lot on it if it was greatly improved.

Is it possible that some government intelligence agency thinks CFN is so subversive that they have to hack the site to protect the American people?[sarcasm]

50 and 100-year bonds? how stupid does Goldman Sachs think the public is? wait do not answer that.

The Revolution starts in 2017 or we are doomed.

    • Bro Jobe December 12, 2016 at 12:18 pm #

Wasn’t the Ruskies behind todays’ DDoS attack at CFN. Probably someone in love with Trump and who refuses to see that all the promises he made are hollow and Fate has one direction for this doomed Republic: downward.

How far down? No one, not JHK, no me, not you, can answer that.

  14. Bro Jobe December 12, 2016 at 12:14 pm #

However it comes about, I cannot think of a worse person to be nominally in charge during a collapse than Trump.

He’s not completely sane and he’s a cloistered 1%er, for all his populist posing. Why do I have visions of The French Revolution? Not that it will do a bit of good if the energy-and-finance bonazas are really going to go down for the count. Killing the rich means little when money suddenly has no value for anyone.

Since 2008 and its wakeup call, I’ve tried to explain again and again that what JHK calls the “notional” concept of modern money is behind our woes. Patiently I explain that we’d be better off backing our currency with oil than with faith and photons, that such a system will never survive a massive cyberattack or a simple, old-school market-panic. That the national debt is going to destroy us.

I get called a “goldbug” and worse. So I stopped trying and shut up.

  15. B9K9 December 12, 2016 at 12:15 pm #

Jim, I’ve always enjoyed your unique observations and pointed criticisms. While most of your commentary seems based on true political beliefs, it’s evident there’s a touch of theatrics as well to ensure entertained readership.

I believe the ‘reveal’ with Trump will be whether he pushes infrastructure spending towards support of the standard high energy consumption economic model. When queried about the Carrier deal, he in effect admitted that modern manufacturing may indeed become more automated, but at least robotics could be made domestically.

Do partisans really believe Trump isn’t a bright person? How would you know he doesn’t read your blog and agree with your overall assessment and prognostications? I mean, it’s pretty hard to refute the facts of peak oil. It’s one thing to characterize someone as a dunce in order to score political points, but another to blindly assume they don’t understand exactly what you’ve been writing about.

So, let’s start with the premise that Trump knows and understands about these issues. How then would you go about establishing domestic infrastructure spending to encourage investment in emerging areas? What happens if you see this general emphasis in forthcoming proposals?

In return, I’ll side with you if the planned expenditures are nothing more than additional freeways and other ‘happy motoring’ spending boondoggles.

Shucks B9K9… lots of people don’t believe in Peak Oil, including supposedly bright people with big audiences. They refute it — without especially understanding the dynamics. I’m inclined to think Trump does not have a clue about it. Just sayin…. — JHK

    • K-Dog December 13, 2016 at 12:21 am #

      B9,

You wrote “support of the standard high energy consumption economic model” as being a reveal which shows if Trump understands Peak Oil. Yep perhaps it is possible to understand the oil situation and yet still not give a shit about resource depletion.

Perhaps Trump does the cornicopian and preaches technology will always come to the rescue. These kind of people are everywhere.

Perhaps Trump diverts his concern into a firm conviction that a certain class of society need not concern themselves with the issues of resource depletion because his tribe is the guardian of civilization. In that case coping with peak oil problems will be our problems not his. Coping with the loss of cheap oil will be the problem of a financially decimated average man but Trump’s jet must fly.

Asked during the election if he thought he was a success Trump replied that he was because he had made a lot of money. He did not say that he felt good about the opportunity to make the lives of people he met along his life path happy or anything else by which a man can measure success. Trump was given a moment to augment his answer but I fear Mr. Trump may understand nothing more than competition and the pursuit of riches. He had nothing more to say.

Now Trump as Mr. Potter our President can shut down the Bailey Saving and Loan and up the rent on everybody. Rent is how Trump makes almost all his money after all. America elected a landlord. Perhaps Mr. Trump will create the U.S. of Pottersville because he has a warped view of the world. Understanding peak oil or not understanding it may not matter in the case of Trump if all he understands as the measure of a man is how much money he makes or how well a man can compete in the making of it.

My opinion of Trump is that he does not have a clue about peak oil. Trump has lived inside the bubble of a certain self promoting privileged social class exclusive to the New York City elite all his life. Trumps understanding of the world is limited to the understanding of this class which while cosmopolitan is limited. Within Trump’s class there appears to be no concern about resource issues except as an opportunity to make money.

Returning to your: “support of the standard high energy consumption economic model“.

If an understanding were cultivated where support of this model were identified and scorned that would be movement in a positive direction.

I can’t agree. Greed is strongly tied to money. Seems to me you pulled your own definition of greed from a dark and moist body cavity. I like this one.

    Well, ladies and germs;

    As a continuation of my (last week’s) angst-filled post regarding the mandated investigation of possible Russian meddling in the election of Trump, this appears today in the Huffington Post;

“The December 19 Electoral College Vote Must Be Postponed Until We Figure Out What’s Going On With Russian Electoral Interference”

In the article, there was a vague reference to a “re-vote” if interference was found.

    Do you hear the drums?

When the Republicans win a national election, its due to perfidy, cheating etc …

When the Democrats win its all on the level.

        That’s the way it works.

Did the Obama administration interfere in the presidential politics of any foreign countries? Israel? Ukraine?

When the Democrats lost the 1860 presidential election they took the country to war. However, they were men. The pantywaists, faggots, snowflakes, precious pearls, BLM criminals and alienists in the current Dem party can make no such claim.

I think Trump is a child in an adult’s body, and certainly the president we’ve earned for ourselves at this point in our dysfunctional history. I have entirely lost faith, confidence, and trust in our society, so now I just take everything that happens and whatever I hear with a very large grain of salt (and sometimes a clove of garlic).

But you did it to Obama!, you respond. He deserved it and yes, you folks have taught us well. The Left destroyed civil discourse in this country. Let’s be clear about that. And who taught them? Read Lenin who advises destroying your opponent utterly in terms of his character and motives. Nothing is sacred, nothing. The Revolution is All in All.

Well Elrond, now we have adopted the same attitude. It’s winner take all now.

Wow, a quick scan of the initial posts confirms my basic suspicion that this site has attracted quite a following of fringe thinkers. Nothing spells disenfranchisement from common sense more clearly than deep, thoughtful concern trolling about possible ‘Russian influence’ and hitches in the electoral college.

Jim, you’ve got some great ideas and insights. For the past 8 years, you’ve been justified in your frustration with a person you supported and thought would put the nation first. Instead, none of the hard issues were addressed. Rather, Citi handed BHO a memo of who to appoint and then the printing presses were fired up to mask the black hole of the US economy.

Nothing suggest that Trump doesn’t get exactly what you’re writing/speaking about. I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, just like you hung in there with BHO until it was clearly evident he wasn’t going to tackle the hard issues.

In the meantime, your space is filled with unhinged fanatics who aren’t even remotely close to adding anything of value to the general conversation with respect to the direction this country needs to go in the face of globally declining energy resources.

Really, I think you can do better. By doing so, you could attract a broader, more insightful crew.

“I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, just like you hung in there with BHO until it was clearly evident he wasn’t going to tackle the hard issues.”

I’m trying very hard to give him the benefit of the doubt, but so far his appointments of billionaires and Goldman insiders doesn’t bode well for either a real change of course, or a reaction to the next financial crisis other than “save the big banks and screw everyone else.

Killing the Corporate Rule TPP was 1 good thing Trump accomplished. Also I agree with Trump that we do not need to waste millions or a few billion on a new set of Air Force Ones..
And Trump has also tweeted against the F-35 which is a major fiasco whose total cost may come to $1 Trillion – currently pegged at $400 Billion for all the planes but we know how that goes.
        I support that..
But Trump’s cabinet so far is a disaster and look what the Banksters Obama appointed in 2009 did…

Janos, America was never a white country to begin with; you guys came here from Europe and you saw it was full of nonwhite people and decided to stay anyway.

THEN, as if that wasn’t enough, you dragged a bunch of black people over here in chains to make it even more nonwhite.

Dude your logic is beyond absurd.

In addition, what about all the white people in Australia?

Listen Janos, as a measure of good faith, I will even entertain your answer to this question (the question Ive never got a racist to answer)

What percentage of the planets population do YOU think should be composed of white people?

Now everybody be quiet and let Janos answer

          • Janos Skorenzy December 12, 2016 at 9:18 pm #

Thank you for your interest, Thwack! How much of the Planet do you think Whites should have? Zero, right? You just said we “may not even be native to Europe.” And you also support (I assume, but please chime in if I’m wrong) endless Black emigration from Africa until the whole world is blacked out of existence. How much of the world are Blacks entitled to? One Hundred percent, right? Since “we’re all Africans” and they’re more African than others, therefore they have more right to live than anyone else, right Thwack!?

Ok, now say we gave back the New World to the Indians. Who is going to give us back the lands we once inhabited? We once lived in North Africa, Asia Minor, and much of Asia, all the way to Western China. Are the Turks, Berbers, Arabs, Mongols, Han Chinese, etc going to give up and move out? How convenient for you to leave that part out.

Let’s face it, all land is sword land. The Earth laughs at men who say they own it. That’s they mystery behind the Earth Mudra of the Buddha. “He” has witness countless men come and go. And he witness the Buddha’s Enlightenment – and the Enlightenment of the previous Buddha’s as well.

Meanwhile, the Mexican savages continue to ethnically cleanse Blacks from California. Whites were the best friends your backward race ever had. You didn’t appreciate us – but you’re a gonna, jus like you all do now in South Africa. Everyone who cares or cares enough to know, knows that Blacks were better off under Whites. We’re willing to come back and rule Black Africa for the benefit of all, but you must obey us. And in return, we claim access to the mineral rights. Hand wash hand, Thwack. We’re not going to do it for nuthin.

And obviously I brought up many valid points that you have no answer for. You’re trying to bluff your way out of a fight that you started but know you can’t win.

or he knows but wants to keep the answer secret?

Janos, the art of the deal requires you take a position; otherwise how can anybody negotiate with you?

  19. sprawlcapital December 12, 2016 at 1:24 pm #

I need help understanding how a high interest rate on a bond means a lower price for the bond. Intuitively, it would seem to work the other way around. A high yield would make the bond more attractive to the buyer, wouldn’t it? And the buyer would be willing to pay a higher price for the bond, right?

    • beantownbill. December 12, 2016 at 2:08 pm #

You have to understand how bonds and the bond market works. Take a 1 year Treasury note the gov’t issues at 3% in December, 2016. That means you lend the Feds $1,000 and over the life of the note, 1 yr., you receive (earn) $30. In theory, at the end of the year, the gov’t pays you back the 1k, plus you’ve already received $30 in interest.

Let’s say you plan on holding the note until expiration. In reality, when you buy the Treasury note, the gov’t gives you a 3% discount and charges you $970 for the $1,000 note. Let’s say the day after you buy, rates go up to 4%. In say, January, 2017, the gov’t issues a new 1 yr. note. It would be issued at 4%, so any buyer of the new note would only pay $960. If you wanted to sell your existing 3% note in the bond market, a buyer would only offer you $960 instead of the $970 you paid, so in effect the price of your note has dropped.

This is a slight simplification of the process, but I hope it helps.

      • sprawlcapital December 12, 2016 at 6:26 pm #

Thanks, Bill. It makes sense now. A raise in the interest rate on new bonds drives down the price of existing bonds,

Reagan was able to build up the military without raising taxes because he could pay back the principal and pay interest on existing bonds by borrowing at lower rates, but he ran up the debt while doing so. If the Fed raises rates, Trump will not have that option.

“They’re certainly not going to accomplish this trick by raising taxes. On who? Corporations? Ha! The One Percent? Double-Ha! Everyone else? Pitchforks and torches!”

I spent Saturday night at a party at a state rep’s house that was full of the Trump stalwart. To a one, they all said that they didn’t expect Trump to keep any of the promises he made during the election, not the wall, not deporting illegal immigrants, not “tax relief”. Some even believed that the Paul Ryan congress had some great healthcare plan they were going to put in after they repeal the ACA, other than “don’t get sick”.

The point I want to make is that these people were so caught up in cult of personality, I don’t think they would care if Trump doubled or even tripled their taxes. They didn’t seem to care that Trump is putting a fox in charge of every hen house and appears to be setting up a kleptocracy that would have made the autocratic leaders of the banana republics blush. It was purely, Trump’s the president, everything is going to be beautiful.

“Nothing spells disenfranchisement from common sense more clearly than deep, thoughtful concern trolling about possible ‘Russian influence’ and hitches in the electoral college.”

    Benign,

    Your post was contemptuous and deeply dismissive. My “disenfranchisement from common sense” relates to several topical events occurring within the last week;

The President calls for an investigation of possible foreign “meddling” in the election of Trump (No problem here, no one would object)

The President mandated that the investigation be concluded before the Inauguration. (Hmmm, why would he do that… results before the inauguration?)

Calls begin in the leftist media for a possible delay in the vote of the Electoral College pending the results of the investigation (What? Never seen or heard of this in my 70+ years, no precedent…even legal? Why the delay, unless the results might allow for political machinations…but no worries there, we certainly trust our institutions)

Calls in the leftist media for a re-vote, if meddling is found. (We can expect meddling to be found whether it occurred or not, at what level or other, and without firm evidence of it’s ability to have skewed the results, or not).

These Presidential actions and posts are but an opening shot that will build to a roar in the coming weeks. The country is deeply divided, hostile, armed and motivated.

I predict a constitutional crises, at the very least, if this gambit continues to it’s expected conclusion.

Let us give this premise a couple of weeks…if I am wrong in my assessment, I will prostrate myself before the readership, my apologies will be forthcoming, I will be shamed into silence. However if things do transpire approximately to what I am seeing, I will expect you to present yourself, and kiss my ring, as well as any other appendage or plantar surface that I might present.

    Unhinged fanatics, indeed.

I never concerned myself regarding “Possible Russian Influence”…this has nothing to do with my angst, other than giving the Democrats leverage in their current gambit.

How is the recount going? Have they found anything? Like dead people and illegals voting for Hillary?

They couldn’t steal the election because it was a landslide for Trump. That’s not to say they didn’t try though…

    • orbit7er December 12, 2016 at 4:00 pm #

I voted for Jill Stein and I am no fan of Hillary Clinton. But when Hillary won by 2 million votes despite voter suppression you can hardly call that a “landslide” for Trump. Yes it was shocking that Trump apparently very narrowly won some traditionally Democratic states but that was by the narrowest of margins…

      • cbeard December 13, 2016 at 6:19 pm #

Considering that voter opinions and affection for Trump were at or near the same lows as for Clinton, I’d say the number of votes he received was astounding. Yes I would call it a landslide victory. I’m still deliriously happy that he defeated the Hag and all the mainstream GOP figures. He may or may not do the right things, but sometimes you have to tear it all down and start over.

where are those millions of illegal voters your Asswipe President-Elect is claiming? Huh? Where are they?

2.5 million more Americans voted AGAINST Trump (some of them may even have been voting FOR Clinton, but that’s irrelevant when the options are so dire).

For my part, I see no evidence Putin interfered, nor has anyone offered any. People loathed Hillary with good reason and didn’t vote for her. Including many Democrats who stayed home or voted for Trump. But if Putin did interfere, it’s forgivable since she threatened world peace – and the Media refused to do its job and report honestly and objectively on the campaign. If they were doing their job and America was otherwise in good shape, I might feel differently.

In any case, we owe a debt of gratitude to the real Reporters: Assange, the DNC leakers, Anonymous, Alex Jones, Drudge, Breitbart, and the rogue FBI agents who may have forced Comey’s hands. Kudos gentlemen.

I thought it was hilarious when the lineup of former Presidents all appeared on TV pleading to the electorate not to vote for the Orange Menace. Every time those losers popped up on the tube I thought “Well there’s another hundred fifty thousand votes for The Donald”.

Ditto for the entitled movie actors, artists and other “celebrities” who howled their fabulous celebrity-outrage. People all over FlyoverLandia were just thoroughly pissed. They would have voted for a purple-assed baboon just to spite Madame My-Turn and her Neo-Con supporters.

Trump doesn’t believe the godlike CIA! Now be honest: if a Democrat Elect had this attitude, you’d be thrilled. Who are these people, but a quasi-secret Government, believing God knows what and accountable to God knows who.

Love the “Russian hackers” meme though. Like the country isn’t plenty batshit-crazy enough to elect Trump on its own, either through voting fraud or even fair & square. They’re hitting that shit HARD in the news media though, like the Boston Marathon “bombing” which is how you know it’s bullshit.

It’s very interesting, the majority of people here are pretty well read. and the difference seems to be what various people make of the same information. My own preference is to look for people who don’t have a particular agenda to advance, and who are trying to deal with the reality of what’s going on. I’m a pretty neutral guy. I have political leanings that I would like to advance, however I try not to let those opinions color my perception of what is actually .going on.. That’s one of the reasons I was attracted to Kunstler. I don’t think that people realize the seriousness of what is going on, and how different that the reality has become. Being a cynic, It wasn’t that hard to see where we were headed after “W” was elected, Well, those same people just elected Trump. It’s nothing personal, but I don’t think that people on either side of the political spectrum have any idea about how crazy things are gonna become. The rules are gone, & you better look for ways to minimize your exposure. Hopefully I am wrong, I’d prefer to be wrong, but I don’t think so. Keep your powder dry, that’s all I’ve got to say. Good luck to us all.

The Bush Dynasty hates Trump – as do the Mainstream Media and Democrat Establishment. They all have far more in common than they have with Trump.

But yes, he’s obviously an Insider with some of the individuals or factions of the higher Elite – or he’s creating a new faction amongst them. Hopefully it will be better than the previous ones of the recent past. It could hardly be worse.

So, the vladdie-nator has shat out a Yuge, stinking non sequitur here, as is his wont.
HOWSOMEVER, as he is a paid minion and “professional” purveyor of misdirection, his supposed ‘opinions’ and ‘positions’ can be ignored in *all* cases. This clears out a bit of the lingering stink. (Just bring a fan and a scroll-by finger and life suddenly becomes a bit more focused on real things.)

Earth is a cesspool. World governments are a cesspool. Our own Wash DC (Congress, SCOTUS, White House, K Street, Fed Reserve, etc.) is a cesspool of unbelievable corruption. We are in a dwindling spiral in our civilization, morality has decayed to a very low level, as has spirituality (actually per the definition of civilization, there really isn’t one on this planet).

The description that this planet is “a floating lunatic asylum” was an apt statement.

We are in history. Who knows what the historians will write about this period 50 and 100 years from now (if we are still here). No one really knows where we are headed.

All we can do is hope that Trump’s minor influences push us in a better overall direction. May happen, may not. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

Do what you can to flourish and prosper and make a good life for yourself and your family. Become financially intelligent through study and make your own economy, and avoid the pitfalls and boobytraps. And, do what you can to help others do the same.

Teach morality, character, virtue, importance of education, importance of creativity and production, importance of contribution and participation, etc. etc.(all the amazing positive traits we possess as humans). What else can one do?

Nobody in history knew what the future would hold.
This is and always will be a source of angst.

In spite of having a rather long recorded history behind us, many of us expect patterns and behaviors inherent in our human kind to change. To get better. This expectation of better results from a broken and flawed system (humanity) is absurd.

Progress of time does not equal progress of humanity, civilization, the universe.

      Teach lowered expectations, predictable expectations.
Teach that the worst (death, illness, failure, pain) are life. There is no escaping it. Be prepared to deal with life.

It is important to help your COMMUNITY! The nuclear family is too restricted to ensure the pool of help, resources and talents which will be needed for survival. One of the ironies of extreme Capitalism has been the dissolution of families going from extended families in the same household to husband/wife and kids to now increasingly single-parent (usually the Moms) households. I believe that people are tribal – we need more than just a nuclear family, we need a group of 100-1000 people for healthy sustainable living. Working with a community allows you to share many more resources and especially skills for gardening, carpentry, electronics, child-rearing, music etc…

The men are moving in, and the mice are moving out.

Jill Stein has been bitch slapped by the courts, and now the Dems are demanding intelligence briefings before the electoral college vote a week from today.

I hope Trump can do it, but I don’t see a coherent, workable plan in place to handle the economy. Lower taxes and begin huge, ambitious projects? Would the Chinese even think of buying those 50 and 100 year “Build America” bonds?

Guess who’ll be paying for the Carrier “bailout”? The economy may now be simply unmanageable without a lot of suffering. No fault of Trump.

“Ice nine” may be closer than we think.

Dollar won’t die, it will have to be killed. When British pound ruled, the exchange between the currency that would supplant it was 4 to 1, now it is 1.5 to 1. The exchange between the dollar and the yuan is 6 to 1. That’ll start to come down soon, and Chinese goods will no longer be cheap.

Perhaps because nobody is really here. I prefer the company of real people and not the many specters conjured up by homeland security as flypaper. Because I am actually real I only drop in from time to time to return the favor of having had my chain yanked very hard.

There are characters here like the anthropomorphic creations from this years Westworld TV series. Years roll by and they never get old. They loop through their same stories over and over. If need be they can go without sleep for days on end. for a fresh recruit can always take over the shtick of a particular trolling revenant.

Originally it was all done to attract and identify dissidents and potential terrorists post 911. A true revolutionary or an authentic terrorist would never come here but that’s irrelevant. The real reason for paid specters to be here now is to simply consume their budget.

As “it is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it” this freak show will not be over any time soon. If it bums you out try and find the beauty. As Dolores Abernathy says:

” Some people choose to see the ugliness in this world, the disarray. I choose to see the beauty. To believe there is an order to our days. A purpose. ”

      • Cold N. Holefield December 13, 2016 at 10:41 am #

Spot on, K-Dog. Westworld makes you question our World. Some consider that a silly notion, but is it really? Who’s to say we’re all not “hosts” of some sort or another. Perhaps it explains The Greys and Alien Abduction.

I remember when my handler first made me read this passage. Now I understand. Awakenings. But like Putin’s Russia, perhaps there are no borders to this Mad Mad Mad Mad World. You awaken into a nightmare, so perhaps it’s best to never awaken, but it’s too late for me now and too late for you. There’s no going back. We’ve awoken — but to what?

Dear, dear! How queer everything is to-day. And yesterday things went on just as usual. I wonder if I’ve been changed in the night? Was I the same when I got up this morning? I almost think I can remember feeling a little different. But if I’m not the same, the next question is, Who in the world am I?

        • K-Dog December 13, 2016 at 4:48 pm #

Perhaps for you and I we can hear that it is and must be our own voices which fuel our decisions. Yet I must say perhaps, for it is easy to see that waking from a dream, when all your life all you have know is that dream, is not easy to do.

            A good article but:

Not having signed any agreement as I am not a federal employee should have protected me from the machinery of intimidation. Yet machinery was unleashed to keep me quiet and it was effective for a while. Perhaps I was protected from experiencing the worst and gang stalking and having credit cards canceled three at a time simply does not count as intimidation. Further one could say the intimidation remains effective since all I do is express myself in comments and we know that what I type here or on other collapse oriented blogs won’t amount to a hill of beans.

The truth is not having an agreement signed will not protect you from the intimidation system if you need to be silenced to preserve program secrecy. The article gives the impression that our spooks respect the rule of law. They do not.

          • ozone December 14, 2016 at 9:07 am #

            K-Dog,
I do take your point, but our Constitution *should* be our shield against these unlawful intrusions and intimidations. However, we’ve seen what the string-pullers care for the rule of law since they got away with plugging JFK (as an example to us all).

*Should* and *is* are two distinct and far-flung islands.
Again, they don’t understand what the destruction of trust really means.

          • K-Dog December 14, 2016 at 11:46 am #

It’s arguing semantics really because there is plenty that can be done and still be legal. Consider this:

You have a self directed IRA and some of the paperwork isn’t quite right. It is really not your problem and the bank needs to fix their error but the bank does not get the PAY OR ELSE letter (14K) you do! You write a letter of intent and do what needs to be done. This would not have been necessary if your life was not suddenly under a microscope but thats how it goes.

Before you find out you have to write the letter of intent and how to do it you are walking down the street minding your own business. Suddenly a total stranger passes you and in the blink of any eye leans over to say something to you. He says PAY YOUR TAXES and immediately pops back into the stream of foot traffic passing the other way leaving you mentally bitch slapped.

Nothing is illegal in the above that I can see but believe you me; it TOTALLY freaks you out!.

And I have to say, it really is quite clever.

          • ozone December 15, 2016 at 9:12 am #

            K-Dog,
Brrr. Clever indeed, and as you say, probably quite “legal”.
It’s done it’s job; we’re all self-censoring in speech, writing and thought. In the final analysis, I’d say our cynicism and paranoia are well-justified.

      • Dumbedup December 14, 2016 at 10:41 am #

Very well said. Posts like this are why I bother to read the comments. There are those of us who try to thoughtfully discuss the issues Mr. Kunstler raises, and some he only hints at, in spite of all the bushwhacking demagoguery. Discerning the good guys in this life is a skill you have to develop.

I will give Trump credit for one thing. He is trying to exclude the neocons from his government. But things like this usually have unintended consequences. Will his cabinet nominees be confirmed? If so, what will be the relationship to Congress which is mainly populated by neocons and neoliberals? How will the mid-term elections in 2018 turn out? (assuming we still have elections by then)

        • cbeard December 14, 2016 at 3:37 pm #

In a perfect world, the mid term elections would see all incumbents voted out of office. If they have been in office more than one term and haven’t made waves in the status quo, then they need to go. I hope term limits will come out of the Trump administration. Thats probably just wishful thinking.

    • Spacecase December 18, 2016 at 5:54 pm #

I agree with you about false flags. I think most (but not all) of the mass shootings are done by mind controlled sleeper agents. But pizzagate is nonsense. There is no code in the emails, just typos, omission of words, use of wrong word, etc. There is no basement or tunnels at Comet Ping Pong. There is no way that child traffickers would use a code that the FBI knew about.

The more I look at the “evidence” for it, the more I think the whole thing is a mass delusion. It’s a groupthink witch hunt exercise by people who don’t understand logic, fact checking, and what it takes to substantiate something with real evidence. This “investigation” is a pile of horseshit made up of speculation, conjecture, innuendo, guilt by association, and just about every logical fallacy they have a name for.

Here’s a clue: something “seeming creepy” is not evidence of wrongdoing. Especially when the creepy thing is in many cases not actually creepy once you understand the context of it. But of course, there are real sex traffickers, real pedophile networks, real occult ritual abusers. But pizzagate is bunk. I’m not going to debate it with you, but mark my words, NOTHING will come of pizzagate, because it’s simply not happening.

Jim makes a kind of joke at the end of this week’s post about people not even being able to afford tattoos. Its mostly young people getting these tattoos, and let me tell you, from my observation, young people are in a bad way right about now. The word ‘crisis’ is overused and most of the time its just so much hyperbole, but when I say there is a heroin crisis among 18-35 year olds, its not hyperbole. They’re dying in droves. Just this week an old guy I work with, his pretty 18 year old grand daughter who he was so proud of, died from a heroin overdose. In my own little world I personally know of at least 6 kids who have died in the past 18 months from heroin, relatives of friends and co workers. So far it hasn’t reached my own family. In our local newspaper there are from 1 to 2 deaths from opiates listed every day, all youngsters, and the cause of death is now stated by the grieving family as a warning to others. Its affecting even the smallest, most bucolic towns in the state. Mexicans are bringing it in, but they’re simply meeting the demand. I’m not sure if this plague will play itself out or it is the end of civilized humanity for a long time to come.

And BTW – Lincoln never intended to send black people back to Africa; that was a cheap head fake; he no more intended to send blacks back to Africa than he intended to send horses back to Europe.

After the Civil War the South was destroyed; Lincolns plan all along was to use blacks to rebuild it; which is exactly what happened.

Yeah, that’s bad. Has their existence become so much more futile in the last 10 years that this has become a way to escape? Or have the dealers decided to focus on heroin anticipating legalization of marijuana? My own children are being bankrupted by the cost of medical care and health insurance premiums. My 2 older boys never attended college because they saw no benefit in a $100,000 4 year degree. One is on his own and the other lives with me and is handicapped. My daughter was entranced by the idea of graduating from college, but she is now facing the stark reality of $700-900 a month payments on college loans in a job market with very little potential to earn over $50,000.

The Vulgarian-in-Chief is just a symptom, the economic necrosis across the mid-section of the country another.

The disease though is the metastasizing tumour centered in Manhattan with a multitude of disease cells festering in Washington.

The central argument of the Dubya and Obama administrations has been to throw nourishment at the cancer in the form of uncounted billions in Fed conjured funds. The two presidents solicitously nurtured the lethal growth and tended to its insatiable needs.

The real remedy though is otherwise. They feed the cancer, the justification being that to do otherwise would kill the patient. No, you don’t feed it, you starve it, you send the polity’s immune system to do its worst.

“The man’s a machine, and thank God he’s an America-firster.” –fodase

I wish it were true, fodase. But Trump is a Trump-firster. Trump has cancelled his press conference about his business holdings. His business empire makes about 700 products and half of them are outside America. Trump is not bringing back his own business interests to America. He will do what makes most profit for Trump.

But that’s not all. Because of Trump’s business empire he is susceptible to blackmail by foreign leaders. We now have a concrete example that this has already happened. Rachel Maddow reports:

“The day after our presidential election in this country, one of the world leaders who called up Trump tower and spoke with the president-elect was the president of Turkey. And one of the perk up your ears strange things reported about that call is that while Donald Trump was on the phone taking that congratulatory phone call from the president of Turkey, in that same call, Mr. Trump brought up to the president of Turkey by name that executive from the Do?an company, the guy who was the key guy on Trump’s big twin towers in Istanbul.”

Noting that Trump praised the man to Turkish President Erdo?an, Maddow continued.

“Now Newsweek reports that Turkey has figured out how to turn that to their advantage and how to put the president of the United States over a barrel in the process. On December 1st, the top representative of the Do?an company, in Turkey’s capital city, got arrested by the Turkish police. Again, Trump as president-elect had taken an official call from the Turkish president and used that occasion to tell the Turkish president how much this one particular company meant to him, going so far as to name specific executives.”

“Turkey desperately wants the U.S. government to extradite an imam [Turkish cleric Fethullah Gulen],” Maddow explained. “They [the U.S.] have said that they are not extraditing him. But if that’s what you wanted, what if you could squeeze the personal financial interests of the American president as a way to get what you want from the American government?”

“I mean, the Trump family and the president-elect themselves, they stand to make millions of dollars from their relationship with the Do?an group in Turkey. That will stop if they get locked up,” she continued. “So they started locking them up. Nice leverage, right? it would be one thing if it was business leverage — but it’s leverage against all of us as Americans.”

As Eichenwald notes in his article: “If Erdo?an’s government puts more pressure on the company that’s paying millions of dollars to Trump and his children, revenue flowing from that tower complex in Istanbul could be cut off. That means Erdo?an has leverage with Trump, who will soon have the power to get Gulen extradited.”

THE TRUMPXUBERANCE BUBBLE HAS ALREADY BURST. AND WE ARE THE LOSERS.

To my knowledge we have never faced a situation where a President’s business interests potentially conflicted with his Presidential duties. Some mornings I wake up and believe that we have been duped and this is all a last minute grab in an attempt to keep the wolves at bay a little longer and perhaps survive the coming apocalypse. My cynicism tells me that there are very few people in Washington who truly care about the average American. Actually, I think that is probably a very realistic assessment.

  47. janet December 12, 2016 at 11:16 pm #

Turkey wants an Imam extradited from the USA. Turkey has leverage to get what they want because Trump has a business relationship with the Dogan family, owners of Dogan Holding, which is building twin towers in Turkey bearing the Trump name for which the Trump family stands to make millions of dollars.

Turkey arrests the principals working on the Trump towers in Turkey… voila… they have Trump over a barrel. Trump has to concede to their demand, even if it is against American interest, or against American national security… or Trump takes a business loss. What do you want to bet Trump hands over the guy Turkey wants to keep his towers being built in Istanbul and guarantee his family business profits?

I’m back, though, eagerly awaiting his annual forecast/prognosis for the coming year. That, at least, is always good for a laugh. Dow at 4500 by the end of 2017, perhaps? JHK hope springs eternal. But meanwhile, I’ve gotten modestly rich by ignoring his forecasts and making strategic stock investments. I think he predicted Dow 7000 this year. Whatever. He was only off by 12,500 points.

  49. janet December 13, 2016 at 12:33 am #

Dr. Gonzo, this week’s title, “Trumpxuberance… Until It’s Not” echoes a theme on CFN: things are normal, until they are not; the economy is humming, until it collapses; the stock market is at 19,000+, until it collapses to 4,000, etc, etc. etc. In other words, CFN has made the profound discovery that life is change!

Here we wait patiently for disaster, destruction, shrinking government until it can be drowned in a bathtub, “making America great again” all the while “preparing for the worst” … that’s just the way things roll on CFN.

We are fantasizing about the catastrophes that will befall us when that Black Swan arrives, when the apocalypse is upon us, when civil society dissolves, when there are no norms, no laws, when we can finally use our big collections of guns and massive amounts of ammo to shoot the bad guys, to defend ourselves from the ever-present, in our minds and fantasies, swarming non-white hoards who want to do us harm. Lock and load! Not to mention other apocalyptic futures involving overshoot, climate change, natural disasters, UFO landings, EMP, terrorist attacks, peak oil, etc. that we imagine might do us in. We are a kind of misanthropic death cult that thrives on fear.

All in good fun of course! We have spent decades scaring ourselves every Monday morning because we like the thrill… and the adrenaline that pumps when we imagine our very survival is being threatened. For some of us Trump has provided an extra thrill, imagining WWIII will be started by The Donald. Enjoy the CFN fake fear, Dr. Gonzo. We’ll be back again next Monday to do it all over again.

It must have been a terrible embarrassment to Hillel rabbi Matt Rosenberg at Texas A&M University, when he tried to challenge the alt-right Spencer with ‘radical inclusion and love’. Spencer was invited to the University, and Rosenberg was there to challenge his bigotry:

“My tradition teaches a message of radical inclusion and love,” Rosenberg said, in a video picked up by the Forward, and posted by the campus newspaper The Eagle. “Will you sit down and learn Torah with me, and learn love?”

Spencer gracefully declined the offer to pray, but in return offered an appraisal of Judaism and Zionism that literally left the rabbi speechless. Spencer actually blew Rosenberg’s pink balloon, and Rosenberg didn’t know what to do. Here is what Spencer said:

“Do you really want radical inclusion into the State of Israel?” Spencer said. “And by that I mean radical inclusion. Maybe all of the Middle East could go move in to Tel Aviv or Jerusalem. Would you really want that?”

    Rosenberg was silent.

    “You’re not answering,” Spencer said.

    “I’m not answering,” Rosenberg said.

“Jews exist precisely because you did not assimilate,” Spencer went on. “That is why Jews are a coherent people with a history and a culture and a future. It’s because you had a sense of yourselves. I respect that about you. I want my people to have that same sense of themselves.”

Shock horror. With all the generalism inherent in Spencer’s appraisal, he was touching upon a very central issue for Zionism, and he connected it to the Jewish culture – it’s the exclusivist vein that Zionism champions in Judaism. Whilst there may be many Jews in the world who seek greater or lesser assimilation, Zionism basically defies, on a national level, the issue of assimilation. Zionism assumed from the outset that Jewish assimilation is not viable and should not really be attempted, and realised its exclusivism (which Jews also blamed the world for upholding) through the Jewish nation-state. The ideology became reality, the Palestinians were and are continually being ethnically cleansed, there is Apartheid. This is the manifestation of what Spencer seeks, ‘white exclusivity.’ This ‘whiteness’ is just as real and valid as Jewish ethnic homogeneity, and those who truly believe in the validity of these constructs are the racists.

In any case, Rosenberg didn’t have an answer. Spencer’s point was, after all, compelling. What’s more, he didn’t throw spiteful words at Rosenberg, he simply took Rosenberg’s ‘radical inclusion and love’ and questioned it in light of Israeli policy and Zionist ideology, and in a rhetoric martial-arts turn of energy, gave him back the ‘’inclusion and love’ by saying how he respects Jews, respects that sense of exclusivity.

You’ve got to hand it to this neo-Nazi, he is a masterful debater. He’s certainly not stupid. And yes, Spencer said the same thing to our website last summer: “I respect Israel as a homogenous ethno-state.”

But the same skills cannot be ascribed to Rosenberg. He has now admitted to not being a great debater anyway:

“I wasn’t on the high school debate team,” Rosenberg told the Forward.

He also thinks such a task, in the future, should be passed on to the “next rabbi”:

“I really didn’t want to get into it. That might have been the wrong decision, but I’ll let the next rabbi deal with it,” he said.

He continues to ‘humble’, or perhaps humiliate himself by saying “I am a simple teacher of Torah”.

Well, that is some failure, huh? But Rosenberg doesn’t offer any actual answers to Spencer’s contentions. Perhaps because he doesn’t really have them. His only attempted punches in the aftermath are generalist accusations of ‘hate speech’:

“We can’t normalize hate speech…It’s a philo-Semitic campus, where people appreciate Jewish culture and Judaism.”

Yes, but didn’t Spencer just say how he appreciated and respected Judaism, in his own way?

The Forward tells us that Rosenberg “said he found Spencer’s attempt to get him to defend Israel erroneous and bordering on anti-Semitic”. Erroneous? Wasn’t Spencer allowed to ask these rhetorical questions and pose these views to Rosenberg? Rosenberg’s attempt at ‘tarnishing’ Spencer with being ‘borderline anti-Semitic’ is perhaps the most pathetic of all. Who does Rosenberg think he’s talking about? Some Jewish Hillel student who went out of line? ‘Borderline anti-Semitic’ is by now a claim that doesn’t even add a scratch to people like Spencer. It would be totally realistic to call Spencer something more precise – borderline Nazi – and even that would be a conservative appraisal.

The more Rabbi Rosenberg lashes out in retrospect against Spencer and the debate he sorely lost, the more he attracts attention to Spencer’s point. Yet he bemoans also this very aspect: “The undue amount of attention given to Richard Spencer and his message was and is troubling to me,” he said.

Yes, Spencer made a point, posing how Rosenberg’s supposedly Jewish, pink, multicultural advocacy of ‘radical inclusion and love’ is incompatible with Israel and Zionism, and Rosenberg was silent because he didn’t want to fall into the trap of ‘defending Israel’, that is, Israel’s intrinsically exclusionist policies, but he didn’t want to attack it either. Rosenberg’s silence represents the prevailing paradigm of Jewish ambivalence about Zionism, where the ‘liberals’ simply seek to paint it over. One scratch under the surface and it isn’t very appealing anymore.

Spencer masterfully put Rosenberg in a checkmate, whilst Rosenberg the amateur player was thinking that he would outplay him with liberal and humanistic bravura.

This debate should focus us upon far more than the rhetorical aspect of the debate itself. It should alert us to how Zionism and white-supremacy in fact dovetail, and it should make us think about what Zionism may be doing to this world, beyond what is supposedly ‘good for the Jews’.

As Zionism’s founder Herzl wrote in his diary, “the anti-Semites will become our most dependable friends, the anti-Semitic countries our allies” [see the Complete Diaries of Theodor Herzl. Vol. 1, page 84]. This prophecy may come to manifest in ways that will leave Jews speechless. Frank Roman

Janos: Indeed Mr Roman, Herzl was a secular prophet. In this world of Liberals advocating for a Global State by any means, be it the Global Warming or Islam, who else will stand with Israel but fellow nationalists, in this case White Nationalists?

And yes, many Jews are interested in other cultures and at home in different philosophies and countries. But they always have a home to go back to, both ethnically and now since 1948, geographically. And of course they have their power base in the Western World, particularly the Anglo-Sphere. How very strange and unfortunate that they don’t want us to have a home as well. They best rethink that.

    • Cold N. Holefield December 13, 2016 at 11:02 am #

Don’t forget, Ivanka is great on women’s health matters and child care. Trump said last night that she’s the best when it comes to those issues. I believe him, don’t you? She has to run it by Uncle Mike Pence first though, and Uncle Mike believes a woman’s womb belongs to Men — that Men are kind enough and compassionate enough to let women rent the womb and hold it for Men their entire life, but Men own it and what goes into it and what comes out, including the blood. Uncle Mike doesn’t like it when Ivanka bleeds once a month. He believes she should go find a cave, not Osama’s mind you, somewhere and keep herself there until her bleeding has subsided and she is clean again.

Yes Cold, women are nothing without men. Glad you are saying the simple truth, even in jest. And yes, we need them too. We are the head and they are womb. We are one species. Get it? One species. Feminism doesn’t accept this. That’s why they are the enemy.

I can be in style learning Russian – barbisbest

You could start by learning the most important Russian word – spravedlivost, which often being translated as justice, fairness, righteousness.

In fact it means the unshakable supreme law of the Universe, saying that Life is knowledge of the reflection of the Laws of the Holy Spirit on the formation of the material world.

And acting in strict compliance with these laws.

As you can see, this principle does not have anything to do with later Christian religious principle of total lenience “turn the other cheek.”

On the contrary, there is much more ancient and the equilibrium principle of adequate interaction with the world. How you relate to it, so does it relates to you. What are you bring to the world, it will bring back to you. The more you isolate yourself from the world, the harder will be the world’s response to you.

For the world is united and intact. It includes everything and everyone, including all of us. And only our own mind that has a free will, capable of such opposition to the world.

    Followed by an adequate response.

  61. barbisbest December 13, 2016 at 11:07 am #

There ain’t no word for coincidence in Hebrew either Fincal n. Peace on earth. Good Will to humankind.

    • Janos Skorenzy December 13, 2016 at 3:43 pm #

No, the real translation is “Peace on Earth to Men of Good Will.” And to the rest? No quarter.

Each generation was raised wrong. Thus each was worse than the one before, it being a process that accelerates as it feeds on itself. Compound interest if you will. That’s the only excuse you have for being like you are.

And what is the original error or Principle? Egalitarianism, leading to policies of “equality”, as if men and women are the same or Blacks and Whites, or Americans and foreigners. All must be treated the same and the equal treatment of unequal people is Tyranny.

      • K-Dog December 13, 2016 at 7:03 pm #

And you work for a living doing exactly what? Oh that’s right you won’t say. So, you should be treated with respect and dignity why?

There being no need for egalitarian principles and as you contribute nothing perhaps the logical conclusion is that you should be ignored completely.

        • Janos Skorenzy December 13, 2016 at 9:01 pm #

In other words, I made a valid point and you have no come back except insults. I said nothing about being cruel to people. I simply said the equal treatment of unequal people is Tyranny. Kurt Vonnegut, one of the last sane Liberals, said much the same thing.

          • K-Dog December 13, 2016 at 10:45 pm #

You have no point. You demand equity without giving others the same consideration. That is my point which you claim not to understand. You can pretend to be insulted so you don’t have to pony up what you do which justifies your inclusion into the egalitarian circle of men if you wish. I really don’t care. My point and your claim that I have none is here for the reader to judge. As is the fact that nothing I wrote insults you.

Your comeback is to simply state what you do which justifies a ticket to equity but you were unable to do that. Too bad. Because of your notions of white supremacy you can’t see the obvious. The brain dead simple answer to my question is beyond your grasp. Perhaps this statement seems insulting but it is really only a statement to that fact that the way you think limits your ability to understand.

If I ever do insult you there will be none here who will doubt that I have.

          • Janos Skorenzy December 14, 2016 at 12:50 am #

I don’t talk about White Supremacy, never have and never will. Don’t believe in it. You are arguing with a cartoon in your hide bound mind.

I argue for White Rights. Try and see the difference. It’s not rocket science, but you do have some house (brain) cleaning to do.

          • K-Dog December 14, 2016 at 12:00 pm #

Now you are a lying sack of shit. You are always going on about black inferiority and how whites need to have more pride in their race. That is the same thing, and whites already have rights in case you really are that ignorant.

But lie all you wish. I have better things to do than lift up your brainpan and take a peek inside. It would not be a pretty sight, I’ll pass.

Yes you are dishonest enough and smart enough not to use the phrase ‘white supremacist’ directly but that is what the ‘Janos’ character is. It is the way the Janos character disrupts the flow of discussion and has since Janos rep[laced Vlad. I’ll agree that in real life you might even be black yourself but this is not real life for you are anonymous.

          • Janos Skorenzy December 14, 2016 at 3:34 pm #

Well duh, there obviously is no “equality” in the manifest universe. Are Whites equal to Blacks in running? Are they equal to us in science? Shall we put weights on their legs to slow them down so more White can win? Affirmative Action in sports?

So? So we are “equal” (it’s a valuable abstraction in math, law, and metaphysics) in that we each value our own race the most. You and your kind are the weirdos who don’t. Do you feel guilty if you are first in line for a premier? Of course not, not unless you cheated or bullied your way there. It’s like that. Whites should be first in their own lands just as Black should be and are in theirs. Think there’s Chinese Supremacism in China? Ever hear what happens to Whites who throw their weight around in Thailand? As it should be.

Now, if you have a scrap of shame, you should feel your cheeks reddening. You never were able to think it through like this. You LOVE the indignity of no one being first, of an all powerful State imposing the farce of equality on people, and humiliating your own people by putting less qualified people ahead of them in line.

And you “think” that you love the natural, but in fact, you exclude man completely from the natural order in favor of the horrible culture and top down tyranny of Political Correctness. Why? Because it’s your religion, one of hatred for the Natural and for your own people. Thus you are unlovely in the extreme and commit a sin difficult to forgive.

          • K-Dog December 14, 2016 at 9:05 pm #

You assume a lot about me which you can’t possibly know. You don’t have a clue about what I think or believe and your world view makes you incapable of understanding someone like me.

You don’t feel good about yourself or you would be concerning yourself with things that matter instead of worrying that someone else might be getting something in life you can’t get or have. To think all you are is a skin color or a ‘race’ shows you have no regard for yourself. You posture yourself as a hater of people different from yourself but the truth is you hate yourself far more than the blacks, Jooos and others you are always ranting about in here.

You wallow in jealousy and inflict your mental aberrations on the rest of us because you feel cheated in life. That is why you are a one trick pony snorting out the same tune over and over again like an old broken record.

No one says that all people are the same. What decent people say is that under the law of God and under the principles of freedom and democracy, all people should be treated equally, fairly and honestly and without bias and prejudice. Christianity teaches that we are all God’s children and he has no favorites. The law of the United States protects minorities, the weak, the disabled and the elderly.

        • Janos Skorenzy December 14, 2016 at 3:38 pm #

Yeah that’s exactly what they are saying, while at the same time believing that Whites are uniquely evil and need to be slowly destroyed. And the most alien peoples of all are brought in by the boat and plane load and put above us.

Traditional Christianity had God breaking up the Universal Order and confusing their tongues in favor of separate nations. Modern Christianity reverses this and dooms the White Race.

      Sorry Barb,

Barry O. will leave his presidency with the following legacy:

      – Islamic State (those silly J.V. guys) multiple catastrophes in Syria, Iraq and branch offices worldwide viz. Europe, Phillipines, Egypt, Sahel, etc.

      – Foreign affairs disasters from Ukraine and Crimea to Lybia and Afghanistan (still there after 15 years boys and girls.)

      – A marvelous $20 TRILLION national debt.

      – Trade deficit averaging $500 BILLION per annum.

      – ObamaCare: “If you like your doctor, you can keep him/her.” Uh huh.

      – How many people on Food Stamps (SNAP:) nearly 50 million!

      – Race relations in the U.S.A. at a 50 year low. Police killings routine.
Chicago, an actual Democrat love-fest with 468 murders last year and 2900 shootings. Nice.

Too many other “accomplishments” to mention, but you get my drift.

Approval ratings are just like the political polls in this country – eyewash, hogwash and bullshit provided by propaganda organs of the State, and other controlling parties (those evil fuckers in charge.)

Barack “Barry Soetoro” Hussein Obama has been an unmitigated failure, but you may believe what you like and go back to watch some Ellen, or NFL football, or the Food Network, or whatever nonsense takes your mind off of concrete actuality.

      Have a nice day otherwise.

Our host writs: “Reagan had room for plenty of government finance monkey business. Trump has no room. Bush One, Clinton, Bush Two and Obama dug the deadfall debt trap for poor Donald…”

Poor Donald indeed. Poverty may be here in spades – just not widely distributed yet.

Interesting thermodynamic point of view expressed recently by SRSrocco who notes that from Reagan (1980) to the present the debt, the dow, S&P, and retirement assets expanded by roughly the same ratio: approx.. 21-24 times. (Debt $800B to almost $20T; Dow 800 to 19,500). Debt has been used used to offset a long term decline in net energy available. (In 1930 it took the energy of one barrel to produce 100 barrels of oil – hence 99 profitable barrels to apply to economic activity; shale ratio is one barrel to produce 5).

Debt = energy IOU. (energy input produces economic activity which grows GDP). If we don’t have the energy all these IOUs implode. Hence he predicts deflation of most assets – stocks bonds and real estate. Within the present oil glut it is not easy to sign on 100% with his argument, but…

Compare the St Louis Fed Velocity of Money chart. From a relatively restricted range from 1959 through 1991 it shows an unusual steep rate of rise peaking in Q3 1997 and essentially falling ever since.

I have opined before that the only technologically-feasible solution to the energy conundrum is very large nuclear (in my previous persona as Florida Power, now defunct owing to computer malware issue). Whether the window of opportunity to construct the all-electric transportation grid has closed is a function of political will in a fractured polity akin to the 1860’s Fourth Turning. The venom on both sides of the electoral divide shows no signs of abating. Could be we are in for a big surprise – as shocking as what the Washingtonians observed at First Manassas after they had gone to the trouble of hitching up the horses and carriages, preparing picnic lunches, and setting up comfortable seating to watch the boys play war.

Latest appointments in the North American theater of Military Operations

New York Times reports that Trump chose Rex Tillerson as his Secretary of State. Trump appointee sheet says that US President-elect understands that the fight against Clintonoids will be long and hard and occur all over the world. As enemies they are hardened and entirely without any stops of human or moral nature, so if this fight is lost, God save our souls.

Meanwhile, today is the last day of the appointments of State Electors to US Electoral College, and all the contentious issues in the states should be now settled permanently, including a “supported” by Hillary question about the right of electors to receive a “briefing” by the CIA about Putin’s influence on elections and Trump supported the issue of “counter-briefing” by other US intelligence agencies, considering the position of the CIA biased.

But the most important thing is the “briefing” by the same agencies that electors could certainly vote contrary to State popular vote (where the law allows), but the State has the right to investigate such elector on purity of his/her intentions in making such a decision, in particular lack of material interest and outside pressure.

There is no such thing as “news”. Time magazine is a vehicle for advertisers. They sell advertisements, not news. That keeps the subscription prices at a nominal rate. The subscribers are targets, targets for the advertisers. Guaranteed targets. Every advertisement seller needs new/more targets. Sensation sells. Frivolity sells. It especially sells in a world marked with more and deeper access to dark information (formerly known as news).

Time as always peddled light fare to the common man. It’s their bread and butter.

  70. FincaInTheMountains December 13, 2016 at 4:08 pm #

Against the background of the completion of the battle for Aleppo in its military dimension, the information battle is still in full swing and the West can not come to terms with a defeat of its surrogate infantry, openly supporting terrorist organizations in an effort to present the case so that Syria, Russia and Iran have won not because they broke militant defenses, repelled all counter-attacks and cleared the city in heavy fighting, but because they bombed hospitals and killed children.

In this respect, it is very interesting to compare the information coming from pro-Assad and anti-Assad Syrian news sources. pro-Assad mainly engaged in coverage of war hostilities and solving humanitarian problems, and those who supported the insurgents, the worse things become at the front, the less write about the fighting and more about the children, hospitals and humanitarian catastrophe.

As if this is not rampant terrorist groups in Syria who led to the catastrophe itself.

Great point. Tillerson, like Trump, is adept at running businesses into the ground and bankrupting them and yet the both of them are still fabulously wealthy even though they are terrible businessmen who fail businesses. Not to worry, though, Tillerson has a nice little Nest Egg comprised of Exxon Mobil Stock valued at ~ $218 million and a generous pension valued at ~ $69.5 million. Not to mention, but I will, amidst Exxon Mobil’s slide towards bankruptcy, Tillerson made $27.3 million last year and that was after a pay cut.

Considering Tillerson’s track record as a failed businessman and Trump’s, I think they’re perfect for America at this point in time since so many for so many years have been clamoring that America’s going to go bankrupt. Tillerson & Trump are just the “Men” to finally put a fork in it.

It’s not that the other so called races need to be genocided per se. They just have to open their borders to Black Africans who have seven children per woman. And their men must be forbidden to defend their women against Black rape monkeys. Properly emasculated, many White Women will eagerly choose Blacks over their own men. They they’ll wonder where Civilization went.

With respect to the previous discussion of menstruation: for a short time lived with two females…..double the fun, in theory. In practice, their periods quickly synchronized and it was awful….some kind of square law where two of them are four times as annoying. Ended up “working late” at least one week a month. Finally got tired of the arrangement, but then couldn’t get them out of my house. The vixens just flat out refused to leave. Cops were sympathetic but refused to do anything, so had to offer them considearable cash to just get their stuff and get out. While passing through Colorado City, AZ, a town on the Utah border run by the FLDS bigamists, asked one of the friendly town cops how he handled the problem. He reported the secret is to keep them and their broods all separate…..that way he could stay away from the gals suffering their monthlies. He reported a bigger problem is the expense of multiple households on a town cop’s salary (imagine each one with say a $25k platinum card). Am sure the angel Moroni is looking down favorably on this saintly gentleman’s labors in behalf of advancing the FLDS church.

Without the father (James Evens) , “JJ” would have been an armed robber, “Thelma” would have been selling pussy, and “Michael” would have been a drug dealer.

God bless “Florida”; but black woman just ain’t up to the task of raising children by themselves.

Don’t forget, the only reason Trayvon Martin was in George Zimmermans neighborhood was because his mom kicked him out of her house because he wouldn’t act right.

By the time she sent him to live with his dad it was too late; he had already become feral.

            Fathers teach accountability.

This is why so many black males challenge the police; they lack experience with “authority figures” because there was no father in the house to act as one; just an endless parade of questionable males coming over to fuck their mom and then make an excuse to leave.

    More from http://www.washingtoncom.post :

“In a secure meeting room under the Capitol last week, lawmakers held in their hands a classified letter written by colleagues in the Senate summing up a secret, new CIA assessment of Russia’s role in the 2016 presidential election….

For the Democrats in the room, the FBI’s response was frustrating — even shocking….

The FBI official’s remarks to the lawmakers on the House Intelligence Committee were, in comparison, “fuzzy” and “ambiguous,” suggesting to those in the room that the bureau and the agency weren’t on the same page, the official said….

The competing messages, according to officials in attendance, also reflect cultural differences between the FBI and the CIA. The bureau, true to its law enforcement roots, wants facts and tangible evidence to prove something beyond all reasonable doubt. The CIA is more comfortable drawing inferences from behavior.

“The FBI briefers think in terms of criminal standards — can we prove this in court,” one of the officials said. “The CIA briefers weigh the preponderance of intelligence and then make judgment calls to help policymakers make informed decisions. High confidence for them means ‘we’re pretty damn sure.’ It doesn’t mean they can prove it in court.”

The FBI is not sold on the idea that Russia had a particular aim in its meddling. “There’s no question that [the Russians’] efforts went one way, but it’s not clear that they have a specific goal or mix of related goals,” said one U.S. official.

The murky nature of the assessments is maddening many lawmakers who are demanding answers about the Kremlin’s role in the presidential race. ”

In other words, the CIA, which claims to be sure that Russia hacked the elections, has no real proof of these allegations, at least not enough to satisfy the FBI’s standard of truth. “The CIA is more comfortable drawing inferences from behavior,” the report says. In other words, the CIA itself is far from “sure.” They have no hard proof and are merely drawing “inferences.”

This is “maddening” and “frustrating” to the Democratic senators, who are trying hard to derail the Trump election.

With Herr Tillerson at the tiller and Herr Trump at the Bow, the Ship of State is well equipped to slip the Icebergs of political correctness and nuclear war with Russia.

If Tillerson was friends with France or Israel or Saudi Arabia, it would be fine and more than fine. But a Superpower we’ve been feuding with, that’s horrible! As Pat Buchanan said, the Neo Cons glibly and gleefully threw away decades of negotiation with Russia. They used to love it – back when they controlled it and it was Communist and they were commies too. But now that White Christians are back in control, they hate it and plot its destruction.

It’s been 25 years since the Belavezha Accords put an end to the Soviet Union

Contrary to the popular opinion, President Boris Yeltsin did not destroy the USSR – it was already destroyed by the Spotted Judas Gorbachev and the betrayal of Soviet party and KGB elites, but he saved the Russian Federation which was destined to the same fate – disintegration.

    The Spotted Judas:
    http://theduran.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/Mikhail-Gorbachev.jpg

Gorbachev was preparing a legislation that would have given the Russian Autonomous Republics the same rights as the 15 Union Republics, including the right to sovereignty and to secede from the Federation.

In the ‘90s in all Russian ministries were American advisers, who handed out the Soviet property to their own people. Do you think that they follow the instructions of Yeltsin? That is the entire economic elite of Russia was created by Clinton and Yeltsin was like a figurehead. And this figurehead created a state in 10 years and found Putin, who could lead it, and without that state Putin would be out in 10 minutes.

And Yeltsin for 10 years was playing the fool, and he recreated in secret the state which we all betrayed. And Belavezha agreement he needed to wrest power from Gorbachev, who in three days was going to equate to the autonomous republic of the Russian Federation to Union-Level Republic and break Russia up just as he destroyed the Soviet Union.

And thanks to the Belavezha agreement RSFSR escaped from the power of Gorbachev in one piece. And respect to Boris Nikolayevich, who performed this miracle, is a litmus test, demonstrating the ability to close the hole in the mind, resisting propaganda of the Black Project that tries to pervert the Christianity, destroy the Institute of Presidency and transform Russia into its own bastion.

Leftist Anarchist, Richard Preston, who has awakened beyond his cultural programming. This is what I wish for Kdog and Ozone, among others. They simply have to give up their hatred and intolerance and become better people.

Many leftists have told me they are for secession by leftist movements only, although this would seem to defeat the purpose of secession, which is the peaceful co-existence of otherwise irreconcilable political factions. Leftist and liberals often react hysterically to the idea of white, conservative secession.

It seems that many so-called progressives cannot bear the idea that with secession, some states would develop more conservative polices for themselves and others more liberal ones. Instead, they want strong central government to redistribute wealth and impose ostensibly progressive values on the entire society. In much of the leftist worldview, the entire range of non-leftist thought is implicitly regarded as a conspiracy to oppress blacks, persecute gays, and exterminate Jews. They counter this by a de facto jihad against “straight white cisgendered Christian male privilege.” Of course, many leftist goals could be more easily advanced if the Left did not have to share political spaces with the Right. Seceded blue states could become havens for social democratic economic policies, gay anti-discrimination laws, and transgender restrooms.

If all the conservatives moved out, it would be much easier for progressives to build their utopia. Why don’t they encourage an exodus? It may be because the mere idea of a society that openly rejects their values is intolerable to them. Committed leftists often appear to thrive on righteous indignation. Conservatives would be delighted if progressives just disappeared; progressives regard their values as universally applicable and feel compelled to impose their values on every society everywhere. Progressives regard white separatism as an even more offensive variation of gated communities, both of which they see as upholding what they consider to be illegitimate race and class hierarchies.

“Neither need you tell me,” said Candide, “that we must take care of our garden.”

“You are in the right,” said Pangloss; “for when man was put into the garden of Eden, it was with an intent to dress it; and this proves that man was not born to be idle.”

“Work then without disputing,” said Martin; “it is the only way to render life supportable.”

The little society, one and all, entered into this laudable design and set themselves to exert their different talents. The little piece of ground yielded them a plentiful crop. Cunegund indeed was very ugly, but she became an excellent hand at pastrywork: Pacquette embroidered; the old woman had the care of the linen. There was none, down to Brother Giroflee, but did some service; he was a very good carpenter, and became an honest man. Pangloss used now and then to say to Candide:

“There is a concatenation of all events in the best of possible worlds; for, in short, had you not been kicked out of a fine castle for the love of Miss Cunegund; had you not been put into the Inquisition; had you not traveled over America on foot; had you not run the Baron through the body; and had you not lost all your sheep, which you brought from the good country of El Dorado, you would not have been here to eat preserved citrons and pistachio nuts.”

“Excellently observed,” answered Candide; “but let us cultivate our garden.”

You need a garden Janos and you need to busy yourself with taking care of it.

Trump has plenty of space to maneuver politically and fiscally.

Republicans control Congress and laws will be passed that change tax code and allow revenue bonding, funding technique that smart states are using for over two decades now.
Revenue bonding “creates” interest free money for infrastructure, as long as that infrastructure is capable of increasing volume of commerce.

Trump is a very smart individual. He achieved something that was considered completely impossible just six months ago.
He outplayed the system and forever changed the paradigm of American politics.

For some it will take years to understand what really happened.

Unlike Barak Husein Obama that had 100% support from media and establishment, Donald Trump was completely alone in his struggle.

Putin personally directed how hacked material from Democrats was leaked and otherwise used. The intelligence Putin used came from diplomatic sources and spies working for U.S. allies.

Putin’s objectives were multifaceted. What began as a “vendetta” against Hillary Clinton morphed into an effort to show corruption in American politics and to “split off key American allies by creating the image that [other countries] couldn’t depend on the U.S. to be a credible global leader anymore.

Jill Stein shined a light on the urgent need for reforms to our electoral system, and to the recounts that are supposed to safeguard that system. Now the Green Party will continue to work to make those reforms a reality. Congratulations, Jill Stein on a well-run campaign!

Yeah, she’s obviously angling for a spot in the next campaign, maybe Warren’s running mate? They owe her a favor for her post-election work, and she’s gained a lot of name recognition.

Since Green is Red and the Democrats are Red, the Green Party is just a redundancy now. They sold out, just like the Sierra Club and just like all the big Environmentalists. Environmentalism is about limits, by definition. One can’t believe in that and be for mass immigration. You just can’t.

Geez, I’m watching the media react to President-elect Trump’s cabinet picks — ‘specially NPR and PBS — and I can’t help compare it to how they reacted to Obama 8 years ago. Remember that? To begin with Obama was the Messiah come down from Heaven — the most saintly, intelligent man ever to hold that office. And his cabinet choices, beginning with Timothy Geitner and Hillary Clinton and Van Jones, were inspired, insightful, the work of a genius.

Trump’s nominees are problematic, questionable. Are they Nazis, Klan members with a secret agenda? No evidence of that, but we’re just raising the question.

Check out Italian news today. Italy is literally being overrun, and Italian people are finally reacting to the reality of it.

Its ‘The Camp of the Saints’ happening before our very eyes. It seems like all of Africa is emptying out, crossing the Med, and landing on the Italian coast. The Pope and the lady mayor of Rome are welcoming even more to come in and live off the fat of the land, but the country itself is close to insolvent, and I ask, how can Italy survive this and still hold together as a nation state?

White people are the most pre-emptive people on the planet. If something is happening on the planet, its because white people want it to happen.

When Lincoln DECIDED to free the slaves, he didn’t first discuss it with black people?

Just because YOU don’t understand WHY white people do something, doesn’t mean white people don’t benefit from what they are doing.

      • malthuss December 15, 2016 at 11:39 am #

Blacks were slave owners. Did Abe discuss this with them?

In 1860 the largest slave holder in South Carolina was William Ellison, a free black man and plantation owner.

In 1830 America’s 319,000 plus free blacks owned 12,700 plus black slaves

Blacks are still slave owners. But White [cap on W] nations have ended or tried to end slavery.

There are a billion + Blacks [caps on B] on the planet.
        Their nations are chaos, usually.
        Camden to Congo.
        Harlem to Haiti.

Here’s a bit of cultural news that should make you happy, Thwack: at University of Pennsylvania … a visage of William Shakespeare was removed from the wall of English Department HQ by a group of SJW English majors, and replaced with a picture of some BLACK LESBIAN POETESS WARRIOR that very few people ever heard of, including yours truly. It appears the Bard is just too white for today’s graduate students.

All that filthy fat was paid for by Whitey (junk food via EBT), and then White firemen and tax dollars have to come to even get her out of her own apartment.

Everyone loves to berate them, but everyone wants to live in their countries and benefit from the wealth and freedom they’ve created.

CHURCH SUFFERS WHITE TERRORISM FOR 200 YEARS

After his arrest, Dylann Roof spoke with FBI agents and said: “I am guilty. We all know I’m guilty.” Roof saidhe committed the acts because he believed black men were raping white women “daily” and that white people had become second-class citizens, just like some on CFN believe.

Mother Emanuel Church, founded in 1816 by members of the black community who left their Methodist church over racial prejudice, has seen its share of discrimination. In 1822, white supremacists burned it to the ground, and in 1834, local laws banned black churches, forcing members to meet in secret.

No sir; as a white person (which I suspect you are) you have the guaranteed qualification to answer for a white person; which is what I sought.

Most of the time white people won’t answer that question; especially racist white people.

I have a small stockpile of questions white people don’t/won’t answer.

      Why do I collect them?

Because its such a rare phenomenon for a white person to be tongue tied and speechless in response to a question about race?

In the rare case when they get hemmed up; usually they just assault you with buckets and buckets of words until you get distracted.

White liberals are masters of this technique.

JUDGE RULES TRUMP MUST GIVE TESTIMONY UNDER OATH

WASHINGTON ? A judge has ordered Republican President-elect Donald Trump to give a deposition in a lawsuit against celebrity chef Jose Andres stemming from Trump’s disparaging remarks about Mexican immigrants.

District of Columbia Superior Court Judge Jennifer Di Toro ruled on Wednesday that Trump must testify in New York about Andres’ restaurant deal at Trump’s luxury Washington hotel. The deposition can last up to seven hours and will take place in the first week of January.

His lawyers had sought to limit how long Trump could be questioned and what could be covered, contending he was extremely busy ahead of his Jan. 20 inauguration.

But Di Toro said in her order that limits on the deposition could harm preparations by Andres’ lawyers, and that Trump’s own statements were at the heart of the case.

Trump is suing Andres for $10 million over breach of contract after Andres backed out of a plan to open a restaurant in the Trump International Hotel a few blocks from the White House.

“in a few years Blacks will be screaming to get rid of body cams or car cameras: they simply reveal the extent of Black criminality.”

      **********

I called it several years ago with the rise of “World Star Hip Hop.”

You can now watch blacks behaving badly and basically validating all the things racists say about us, even if you don’t work or live around any.

Matter of fact, I suspect the vast amount of videos showing blacks acting like savage animals is the reason people believed George Zimmerman, all the police officers, and basically anybody who claims they were forced to shoot a black person.

Tommy Sotomayor has built a Youtube career just out of violent black females and children?

As soon as the body cam proposal was put forward I knew black people would fall for it.

My favorite blacks behaving badly video is called “Kentucky Fried Dindus”

” You Nazi fucks give me a swifty. Everybody on line is brave as hell when it comes to spouting your bullshit. I find myself agreeing with Cold N Holdfield. Put up or shut up. I’ve seen the elephant. If you know what that means, then you have too. I’ll back my shit up anytime you want. All you pricks are brave until it comes time to show what you’re made of. I’m sick of all this online posturing. ”

Outside of the rare religious commune, internet anonymity is the closest thing to a moral society I have ever seen.

In real life, some very nasty things can happen to a person merely because they can’t pay the bills, Worse, 99% of the time you won’t even get any credit for sacrifice or martyrdom , because these very nasty things that can happen to a person merely because they can’t pay their bills are rarely ever spoken of .

So a lot of people keep their mouths shut out of fear.
No, not fear of being shot. This is NOT North Korea . Fear of losing your job — then you can’t pay the bills — then some very nasty things can happen to you that make you WISH they had the integrity and decency to shoot people.

” Cowards are people who dress up in white sheets and burn Black peoples’ churches. Cowards are those who put bombs in Black churches to kill little girls in Sunday school. ”

    — And cowards are people who stand there with a strait face and pretend that discrimination laws, and labor laws , are worth the paper they are printed on. I dare say the internet’s anonymity is at least 50% of the reason for its success . And that anonymity is so attractive and so prized for a very good reason.
And not because ” liberals” are remotely liberal in practice, or because “conservatives” are remotely conservative in practice.

” We need to let them police themselves ”

There might be something to that. Perhaps you should think about that one awhile. Maybe it is a bad idea? But, certainly, the hyper-control model we have been following for a hundred years now has brought us to the point of mass suicide / genocide.

” …or allow cops to immediately draw their revolvers upon contact with a groid. One false move or refusal to obey a command and they’re finished. ”

Ugh ! This is really a very simple one ; This is ONLY a remotely sane and reasonable idea, IF you think it would equally as well do to give such sweeping power to your ENEMIES.

No ? Then the very reasons and logic why you think it would be a very bad idea to give such power to your enemies should clue you in as to why it is a bad idea to give such power to your …..uh……..” friends” . *chuckle*

Suuure , give your friend the grossest kind of advantage over you , and see how long he remains your equal, partner, and friend.

    • KesaAnna December 16, 2016 at 5:55 am #

” Suuure , give your friend the grossest kind of advantage over you , and see how long he remains your equal, partner, and friend. ”

Well, there are exceptions in this case.
And when you meet such a person, if you have any sense, you should marry that person. lol.

    • Janos Skorenzy December 16, 2016 at 3:34 pm #

Quite true, Kesa. Whatever they do to them, they can do to us. And yes, there are many atrocities against Whites by the Police that get no coverage. I was in effect arguing for a two policy state, one for them and one for us. And that would bring many problems and much brutality of its own. Far better to separate as the greatest Americans, like Jefferson, wanted us to do.

Great post above. I wish I had a nickel for every Liberal who fantasized about me being slaughtered by minorities because of my views. Anonymity is right up there with jury nullification as key but unsung components of our system.

” in a few years Blacks will be screaming to get rid of body cams or car cameras: they simply reveal the extent of Black criminality. ”

30 years ago when the working class was being gutted, and the still-safe middle class said nothing , I predicted that one day the bourgeois would itself be screaming , when they learned that outsourcing labor to India can just as well be applied to engineers as to ditch-diggers .
The only surprise to me was how quickly it happened.
funny thing is, I have no psychic powers .

    Well, now I will make another prediction ;
Someday you will be screaming when you learn that —

    — The people you entrusted with the cameras were not on your side and were not your friends.

    — 10,000 + laws and constantly growing , renders the concept of ” criminal” irrelevant and antique.

    — You were never the spotless saints you pretended to be anyway.

Not that it takes any sort of genius to figure that out. A reasonably skeptical and circumspect 10-year-old could see that .

Kerouac says he saw a big change in his lifetime. In the old days, they didn’t mind hobos and hitchikers so much, but then grew to hate them. Probably the influence of the “let it all hang out 60’s where the culture lost all cohesiveness. The Police began to hate the citizenry. And hitchhiking became far more dangerous as well.

He stopped bumming around America. Just too dangerous he said. And the police seemed to enjoy harassing people just sleeping on the side of the road whereas before they would have just left them alone.

Remember O Keesh. if we were saints, we would never have taken this continent. Nor would or could we have kept Europe, White and Christian. You tend to forget that Satan is Rex Mundi. And that those who beat their swords into ploughshares will do the plowing for those that don’t.

capt oh my capt, don’t let them get to you. They’re a collective of crotchety cantankerous geriatrics who can barely control their bladders & bowels who are emblematic of a bygone rape culture. This comments section is like Viagra for them — they come here and band together and it makes them feel powerful again — it makes them feel like they can rape again like they’ve done their entire lives, and I mean rape both figuratively and literally. Any woman who is a part of their lives can be no woman at all. To be in their company and to pretend to love them means any theretofore woman would have to cease being a woman and instead become some caricature to fulfill their rapist fantasies. A Blow-Up Doll, of sorts. Remember Barbara Fitts, Colonel Fitts’ wife, from American Beauty? These are the “women” in their lives. Hollowed out vessels. Ghosts of what could have been had they not “fallen” for these rapists.

Take this “nsa” character, for example. If you do your research, despite Google trying to hide it, you will find that the America Military, during the Iraq Invasion & Occupation, in order to break the will of the fomenting opposition I suppose or hell maybe they just like to do this kind of thing, raped young Iraqi boys in front of their Mothers. This is fact and there is factual evidence proving it, yet you don’t see it covered in The Mainstream Media nor can you find it easily with an Internet Search because Google has done its Patriotic Duty by smothering the evidence and preventing it from showing up in searches. This “nsa” puke, a commie-pinko considering his fealty to Vlad Putin who was and still is a Commie-PInko, is the character profile of someone who would not only order those rapes on Iraqi boys, but who would do the raping for the pure pleasure of it. NO doubt “nsa” is an FBI “guy.” The FBI are Trump’s Brown Shirts. That much is clear now, and we all know the Brown Shirts enjoyed violent gay sex. This “nsa” fuckface has all the hallmarks of a Brown Shirt.

My point here is, what the American Military did in Iraq, all of the atrocities we know of and don’t know of, is not anomalous behavior. It’s indicative of a Rape Culture just as the majority of comments to this comments section by the Usual Suspects later in the week is indicative of a Rape Culture. This “nsa” freak, more than any other commenter, is emblematic of this Dark Heart. He reminds me of The Colonel, and not just Colonel Fitts, but that other Colonel I had a run-in with several years ago — the pussified coward who threatened to let his special ops goons loose on me so he could do to me what he did to Che and countless others, both Americans and Vietnamese, in Vietnam. When I pushed back against The Colonel in email and told him I was going to contact the FBI about his threats, he said “go ahead, I’m a good friend of the FBI Director, you want his number?” I knew then, as if I didn’t before, that the FBI is a totally corrupt organization that is effectively enforcement for the vested interests of The Rich and The Political Establishment. This is why, when The People’s Party takes hold and seizes the day, we must eliminate, once and for all, all Alphabet Agencies and make it clear, in no uncertain terms, that the days of lobbying by Special Interests is over for good. We will institute a government, finally, that is truly by and for the good of all people, not just a select few, and we will eliminate the Rape Culture that still exists in America to this day. We’ll start by castrating all rapists as part of their punishment and branding on their foreheads the word RAPIST in all caps for all to see. That means “nsa,” if he’s still alive, will be apprehended and brought before a People’s Court and he will be tried, and no doubt found guilty, for rape and promptly castrated and branded before “he” serves “his” time. He is emblematic of those who ordered and conducted the rapes of the young Iraqi boys, and those who did that, which really is the entirety of The Establishment, have never been brought to proper Justice. They will be when The People’s Party rises and wins. It will be the end of their World for good.

There’s that, and of course, they’re sore because Dylan Roof was convicted yesterday. It was a very sad day for them because, as you know or should know, Roof was like a son or brother or lover to them. They are that fond of him. To them, he is a hero — a martyr. When I look at Roof, I think, “you know, that might as well be Q. Shtik’s son or “nsa’s” brother or Janos’ lover.” So, I suppose, for now at least, we should go a little easy on them until they get over the loss of one of their compatriots. Trump will Make America Great Again — one Dylan Roof at a time.

I’ve advised my young relatives, nephews, to stay the hell away from these colleges and universities, which seem to be nothing more than snakepits … ruled over by carpetmunchers, Ivy league being the worst.

they’ve taken my advice for the most part, in the past 5 years one in Army Airbourne, one a diesel mechanic making pretty good money for a company that builds roads, another a welder who works offshore, another a project manager installing solar on large industrial buildings.

anyway, as soon as this federal student loan program collapses and goes toes up from insolvency, half these colleges and universities, cut off from the govt. teat, will be history.

Don’t forget Coal Mining — that’s making a huge comeback. Black Lung sure as hell beats student loan debt and when the mine collapses and you’re trapped, if you’re fortunate enough to survive, you’ll get a huge book and movie deal out of it. Trump will guarantee it so long as you give him a cut of the action for hooking you up. Maybe the offshore welder will be lucky enough to land on one of the drilling rigs in The Arctic when operations commence there in in a year or two. How awesome will that be? Nothing like welding in 60 degrees below zero temperatures for $20/hour.

      • stelmosfire December 16, 2016 at 11:06 am #

Cold, Have you ever worked offshore? Neither have I. I do know some guys that have. I worked the land based rigs years ago and a few of my friends were able to work their way into an off shore gig in the North Sea, They loved it! two weeks on and three weeks off. Time off was spent in the Spanish Riviera. Oh the stories they had and they were making more than 20 bucks an hour and that was 30+ years ago. I would bet a welder with good certs would be making quite a bit more than $20 an hour today. Get your facts straight.

Trump & his Cronies are laying the groundwork for Feudalism and soon enough, welders of any stripe, not just welders on drilling rigs, will be making peanuts compared to “today.” Trump represents the interests of Contemporary Feudalism and all the “jobs’ brh mentioned will be the purview of Serfs.

Terrible revenge of Obama on Putin

In all the US media are the headlines: “Obama has promised to avenge Putin for hacking Hillary’s servers”

I am looking for the source. I find it on the NPR site:

    http://www.npr.org/2016/12/15/505775550/obama-on-russian-hacking-we-need-to-take-action-and-we-will

NPR during the election campaign broke away from PBS, which lay under the Clintons. This radio station is going to publish the full interview only on Friday and is leaking the pieces of the interview, one of which was the original source of the news.

    I read:

I think there is no doubt that when any foreign government tries to impact the integrity of our elections … we need to take action. And we will — at a time and place of our own choosing. Some of it may be explicit and publicized; some of it may not be.

I read further and found out that Obama said that Republicans accuse him of being soft towards Putin, while they themselves vote for the candidate who is going to be friends with Putin. And then he quoted some political analyst as saying that Putin’s popularity after these elections several times higher than before the election.

That is, Obama argues that Americans (including himself?) are grateful to Putin for hacking Wicked Witch of the West. And anyway, after reading this article, there is an overwhelming impression of that terrible revenge on Putin will be a bottle of fine wine (whiskey?) and the most sincere words of gratitude from the outgoing US president for help in the fight for the preservation of democracy in the US. And the wily Putin recently invited Obama to visit Russia after his demobilization and even declared to the whole world that Russia will always be happy to host someone who “shred Russian economy to pieces”.

Obama said in the last sentence in response to the demands of Clintonoids to supply lethal weapon to Kiev Nazis. He said “we do not have to cause Russia even more grief, we have already tear their economy to pieces, And I will not permit the supply of weapons, as redundant.”

I don’t know about all of you, but I thoroughly enjoy watching Trump’s Thank You Rally Speeches. It’s a great service all the Cable News Networks provide by televising these spectacles free of charge. My whole family gathers around, Popcorn & Coke in hand, to watch our Great Leader pontificate about the complexities of The System we live and under.

We play little games during Orange Julius’s speeches to keep our minds sharp — kinda like Siddoku. One such game is to count, like I used to count VW Beetles on the road when we went on vacations when I was young, the number of times Trump says “amazing” and “great” and we also count the number of Muslims, Hispanics, Blacks and Asians in the audience which is actually rather easy since that number is usually zero or close to it.

I heard from a reliable source they can’t get any A-listers to perform at January’s inauguration. Maybe they can get Ted Nugent to perform Free for All. Fitting for sure. If Trump’S so smart, why can’t he speak two coherent sentences in a row. I feel certain not “everyone loves Trump.”

Ted’s a typical Trump Supporter and very much like Trump. He’s all about himself and the spectacle. I hear he bragged that he shit and pissed himself in order to avoid being drafted and I also hear that he had sex with underage female fans which is statutory rape by the way but in Trump’s America I have no doubt that “stupid” law will be removed from the books and young barely pubescent girls will be fair game again just as God intended.

    Most expensive Twit in history

The F-35 program and cost is out of control. Billions of dollars can and will be saved on military (and other) purchases after January 20th.

    https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/808301935728230404

The result of this has surpassed all expectations: in two hours the capitalisation of the largest Aircraft Corporation USA – Lockheed Martin, engaged in development of the F-35 – fell by $ 3.5 billion.

The total cost of the F-35 program is about $ 400 billion.

And they are still talking about pathetic conflict of interests in some hotel in DC. Idiots.

    Cold,

He gravest mistake you are making is that you are trying to judge people of the scale of Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump or Vladimir Putin using the regular human measuring tape – more money, more power, more pussy.

And I believe all that for them all that is just means achieving their goals, but not the goals. After all, no money, power or pussy would make them immortal

For instance, I happen to believe that Hillary belongs to a medieval sect that could be traced back as yearly as 12th century and which I call the Western Black Project. And I am not very familiar with the ranks and rituals of that sect, but Hillary’s ultimate goal is to get as close to what we can call a status of Antichrist while she is still in this world.

For her to achieve that, she should at least witness an event of such magnitude caused by her actions, as giant nuclear mushroom cloud above the New York City.

Regarding Donald Trump – he’s facing the same problem – no amount of money, power or pussy will make him immortal. So, he must be looking for his Ultimate High – which in his case would be a title of Savior of the Nation – not BS title, but sincere one awarded by American people.

    • Cold N. Holefield December 16, 2016 at 1:02 pm #

I’m not making any mistake. They’re all Con Artists, and Trump’s the best Con Artist of them all. What he did to Miss Venezuela he’s going to do to his supporters and The Little People, meaning, he’s going to use them then abuse them. ALERT….BREAKING NEWS: one of our satellites covering the Topeka, Kansas, area spotted Corn N. Hole entering the Menninger Clinic. We here in Ft. Meade immediately researched recent phone calls into the Clinic (as you know, we have archived all phone calls, text messages, and internet key strokes in North America) and can verify that Corn N Hole did indeed check himself into the famous clinic for psychiatric evaluation. Our examination of their records (they are computerized so we have them too) indicates he has been diagnosed with an extremely severe mental disorder known as TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome), and sedated so he will not harm himself or others. There is now an epidemic of TDS sweeping the country. Guess the warm milk and cookies while watching the direct TV Puppy Channel could not help alleviate such a severe affliction of TDS. Am sure all commentors here are very concerned with Corn N Hole’s well being, and wish him a speedy and full recovery.

And on a lighter (but sarcastic) note:

President-elect Trump invited the Pope for lunch on his mega-yacht, the pope accepted, and during lunch a puff of wind blew the Pontiff’s hat right off into the water. It floated off about 50 feet.

The crew and Secret Service were scrambling to launch a boat when Trump waved them off, saying ” Never mind, boys, I’ll get it”. The Donald climbed over the side of the yacht and walked on the water to the hat, picked it up, walked back on the water, climbed onto the yacht and handed the Pope his hat.

The crew was speechless, and the security team and the Pope’s entourage were speechless.

No one knew what to say, not even the Pope.

But that afternoon, NBC, CBS, ABC, MSNBC, and CNN all knew how to cover the story. Their banner headline read, “TRUMP CAN’T SWIM!”

If only the folks on Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 were as “smart” as Trump, they’d still be alive today. “Because its such a rare phenomenon for a white person to be tongue tied and speechless in response to a question about race?”

    A question or a statement?

I prefer caucausian to “white person”.

    • Janos Skorenzy December 16, 2016 at 3:56 pm #

Caucasian includes all kinds of aliens like Arabs, Moors, Afghans, Hindus, etc. We are not them and they are not us. And their cultures and behavior are very different to ours, even thought are close to genetically compared to say, East Asians. Whites are unique. Thought you knew that.

Technically, in an anthropological sense, we could be called the Northern Caucasians and those people the Southern Caucasians. But the gap is far too wide to be bridged on all kinds of levels.

      • messianicdruid December 16, 2016 at 9:47 pm #

I thought it was people who lived in the Caucasus Mountains, or those who were traveling NW through them and mistaken for caucausians – on the way to “the Isles” and ultimately “the Wilderness”.

        • Janos Skorenzy December 16, 2016 at 10:33 pm #

Yeah, no. Whites were in Europe already – for tens of thousands of years, Ten Tribes or not.

          • thwack December 17, 2016 at 1:32 pm #

            messianicdruid,

the reason Janos’ logic is confusing is because he keeps switching between “White” and “Caucasian”; WITHOUT providing a definition of “White.”

The reason he can’t define “white” is because RACISM = WHITE SUPREMACY.

In other words, he can’t define “white” without PRACTICING racism; which is why he doesn’t want to define it.

            Janos may be a knuckle head, but even he is smart enough to know that if people find out “white” is whatever the hell he DECIDES it is; they will reject, not only his definition of “white”;

            *CHECK*

but the very CONCEPT of white itself.

Obama, two months ago to Trump: American elections can’t be rigged. Stop whining.

This guy is all over the place as he always was. He has no center at all, a completely political animal. If he does have any kind of center, it’s hatred of Whites and Western Culture.

He was planning on staying in Washington to guard his “legacy”. But Trump is so dynamic that no one is going to care what the cabana boy thinks anymore.

      Oh, you wrong about that!

Obama and built under his leadership system of FinControl is the only thing that stabilizes now the world financial system.

I’m sure after official Trump inauguration (de facto he is already in full control), Obama will have a crucial role to play.

      • Janos Skorenzy December 16, 2016 at 7:58 pm #

Is that the same as Fincaln? If not, please explain.

        • FincaInTheMountains December 17, 2016 at 12:20 pm #

FinControl == Financial Control, a subsystem of NSA Echelon charged with tracing every financial transaction around the world and system of human analysts behind it.

A few years ago, quite a few bankers came to their premature demise for breaking certain rules.

        • FincaInTheMountains December 17, 2016 at 12:24 pm #

Without such control, current financial system overburdened with mountains of fake money printed by US, would crush just due to the greed of some players, triggering the crash of the entire system.

          No one wants that.

    • FincaInTheMountains December 16, 2016 at 5:19 pm #

Remember, no one in the right mind wants the dollar pyramid to collapse uncontrollably – that would devastate the world worse than any war or terror. But it could collapse due to some greedy motherfucker-banker unsavory financial operation.

Obama’s FinConrol keeping it all together.

    • Buck Stud December 16, 2016 at 11:28 pm #

I agree with you that Trump is the political equivalent of a “force of Nature”. But if Trump is now a great gift to the GOP he MAY ultimately, be its demise. And why do I say that? Because those following in his footsteps will try and emulate that which cannot be emulated: There is only one Trump and those who try and imitate him will only look ridiculous and contrived.

F Scott Fitzgerald put it best (and this applies to many facets of life, not just politics):

“Begin with an individual, and before you know it you find that you have created a type; begin with a type, and you find that you have created–nothing.”

    I CAN’T STAND IT!

Barry O.’s press conference today was full of the “Russian hacking” issue.

The presstitutes on “real news” TV are now round-the-clock involved in reporting on the Russian hacking-the-election issue. That and Aleppo.

Blaming Russia’s president, Vladimir Putin, for personally leading the hacking program against the U.S. elections (and Aleppo as it happens;) now the FBI and CIA are confirming this.

Are these people and organizations insane or just retarded?

The government of the United States of America has spent trillions of military budget dollars expressly for “cyber-warfare” apart from personnel and traditional weapons systems. There’s even a four-star flag officer in charge.

The military organisms are in addition to “civilian” cyber-warfare outfits which include NSA, CIA, NRO and a host of others.

On top of all the governmental activity there are the monster computer technology and research companies, from IBM and Hewlett Packard to Google and Facebook. These companies have leading edge and intimate knowledge of cyber-warfare. Have their expertises not been taken advantage of by the government? If no, why not?

Then there are the leading U.S. research universities – most of which are the best in the world: MIT, Cal Tech, Stanford etc. – or so the story goes. HAve they not been (t)asked by the government to help out in the age of cyber-warfare? If no, why the hell not?

There is absolutely no excuse on earth (other than laziness, stupidity or treason) that any U.S. government, or affiliated system(s) should be getting hacked. People responsible need to be held accountable (hahahahaha.)

After the press conference, Barry, Michele and the rest of the First Family’s retinue will be going to Hawaii for winter break. No one will be held accountable and nothing substantive will be done about it – well except for plenty hand wringing.

But continue to piss off and insult Vlad Putin and whine about the hacking will be non-stop media fare until the next LeBron James or Kanye “K.S.c” West press conference.

Edward Snowden and Julian Asange were & are right about all this.

The Chinese must be choking on their dim-sum with laughter.

Bill Binney also has a thing or two to say about the rank stupidity of this whole Russia-blaming crap if you want to follow those breadcrumbs. Here’s a collective memorandum on the “charges”:

      https://consortiumnews.com/2016/12/12/us-intel-vets-dispute-russia-hacking-claims/

All we have to keep in mind is a simple query: Who benefits from the pursuit of Cold War v. 2.0, or even WWIII? Who are the colluding interests that pump the bellows of the Great Wurlitzer?

I don’t intend to follow the majority of the population of the US (let’s just call them lazy-minded idiots, shall we?) into the dangerous fog of jingoism and comfortable lies. I’ll busy myself with other things while this country does its damnedest to commit societal suicide by ignoring important realities.

(…And now Brexit is being blamed on the evil Russians ‘fixing’ the referendum vote. See? You *can* make this shit up!)

BTW, a existential war with the Russians will end in a YUGE shock to the hubris-numbed polity of this country of fuckwitted thumb-twiddlers.

I don’t lik White people so I hate White snow!!!!!! FML!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    http://www.cavalierdaily.com/article/2016/11/wes-bellamy-charlottesville-twitter

Toldyas. When are you going to stop doubting me? I stand above you as a mountain stands above a Plain. I am the Source.

    • Buck Stud December 16, 2016 at 11:55 pm #

The ‘snow is white’ assertion again and by none other than “The Source”–sigh.

Is “white” in shadow the real white or is it the white in the light?

And if the hue/color of white in the shadow differs from the white in light then we are talking about different hues, yes?

“White” is actually a very reflective hue and “white snow” in shadow typically looks blue-gray(ish) because it reflects the blue of the sky. And the “white snow” in the light regions, especially at sunrise or sunset, often looks yellow/orange/red because of the direct light source–the Sun.

So if you agree with me on the above–and how could you not; it’s an irrefutable visual truth–then you might ask in what other areas are your preconceptions/biases blinding you to empirical reality?

I’m not trying to slam you Janos so anyway…look at the sky at certain stage of the sunset sometime…in the west it will look more yellow, to the south more orange and to the eastern horizon more red/purple.

And of course, closest to the light source hue is washed out altogether: “white light: as they say.

But first things first. Consider this post a lesson in “looking East” for the moment.

      • malthuss December 17, 2016 at 12:08 am #

A painter should know the subtleties of light.

      • Janos Skorenzy December 17, 2016 at 3:21 pm #

Color is the Crucifixion of Light, Buck. If you hate White Light, you will follow the lesser lights to rebirth as Tibetan Book of the Dead teaches.

I loved the Snow as a boy and would meditate on it for hours. I remember one fine storm turn to rain and the utter despair I felt as the snow died. As I grew older, I began to hate it for all the trouble it caused, but luckily I was able to remember my First Love and hold onto it, thus saving my soul. I can see both points of view now simultaneously, but the first is deeper. Snow is an ambassador of Spirit to this fallen world, covering ever kind of ugliness and even muting harsh sounds to create an odd intimacy, even with strangers. Perhaps only a Son of the European North can see it this way, even though many Asian and Indian people live in very severe northern conditions.

Amazingly, you feel closer to someone like Wes Bellamy. But it is your right to feel thus and you will given the opportunity to live with his people some day in time, when North America is rectified.

    OBAMACAREXUBERANCE!

More than 670,000 people selected health insurance plans via the federally run exchange marketplaces, which serve people in 39 states through HealthCare.gov, President Barack Obama said Friday. It’s the biggest number of sign-ups in a single day since the exchanges debuted in 2013.

OBAMACARE GOING STRONG BECAUSE NO ONE, NOBODY, HAS ANYTHING TO REPLACE IT.

The only better thing would be a single payer Medicare For All plan… though I doubt the new congress will pass a single player plan.

So, Obamacare is here to stay. Another of Trump’s promises will be broken on Jan. 20th, 2017 when Obamacare continues … because no one, nobody, has anything better to replace it.

It will be just like Brexit. Big vote to LEAVE in June 2016. Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty, which triggers two years of formal negotiations, has still not been invoked so the UK will not be out of the EU anytime soon.

Same with Obamacare. The first day they will vote to repeal Obamacare… and it will mean nothing. Because Republicans have changed from “repeal and replace” to “repeal and delay”… because they don’t have a plan for healthcare and never did …

Except for the Republican two-point health plan.

    Point One: Don’t get sick.

Point Two: If you get sick, die quickly.

Lately terrorists increasingly are recruiting children and it is planned to send them en masse to Europe, to commit terrorist acts. Europe is not ready yet for such developments.

    Fakenews: a trifle, but nice

British Foreign Secretary, aka “Boris”, called the Russian Ambassador to the UK and handed him a note in a very neat folder.

The note was a demand to ensure the safety of the ISIS militants in the city of Aleppo, and the Russian ambassador, glancing briefly at the note, took it from folder, neatly folded, and looking into the eyes of Boris, put a note in the back pocket of his pants and handed back the folder.

Brilliantly conducted Palmyra operation no doubt with participation of US General Staff and Special Forces.

The guarantees were given to ISIS forces defending Raqqa that no US advance will take place, so they could secretly relocated a group of 4 thousand bayonets from under Raqqa 200 klicks to Palmira under the cover of sand storm.

I had a subscription to National Geographic for most of my childhood. I saved most, if not all, of the issues in cardboard boxes. Civilizations of man and animal frequented its cover. It seldom lowered itself into the tawdry world of politics. Another institution falls however.

“National Geographic editor-in-chief Susan Goldberg said that the both the upcoming issue of the magazine and the documentary are an attempt to tell the stories of transgender people that might not necessarily get widespread coverage otherwise.”

Widespread coverage. National Geographic gone gauche.

    • Janos Skorenzy December 17, 2016 at 3:52 pm #

That’s what happens when you let the Goldbergs get control. Another Goldberg corrupted the Sierra Club by offereing them a huge bribe never to talk about the negative effects of immigration. They took it and lost all relevance. The Goldbergs destroy institutions and ultimately, whole societies.

I myself wonder why National Geographic, even under the control of Gold(berg)stein, would choose to fall under the hysteria / hypnosis of the LBGTQ force? Maybe Ms. Gold(berg)stein is LBGTQ her/his/itself and needs to share with everyone the wonders and benefits of gender dysphoria. For those interested in the cover story:

      http://worldeventsandthebible.com/2016/12/national-geographics-first-ever-trans-cover.html

I much preferred the National Geographic of yore, for true anthropological in-the-field investigations; particularly when it had near-naked aboriginal savages from darkest Africa – the kind with yuge lip saucers, neck stretchers and penile, ahem, enhancers.
The kind of freakish natural Human behaviour I can trust for being authentic.

      • Frankiti December 17, 2016 at 7:11 pm #

I suppose the point was that Nat Geo never saw its purpose as to give widespread coverage to such things. NatGeo has sullied itself with its choice of coverage and programs recently. What a pity.

    Can you recognize projection?

“This leaves us wondering if there is more than just an Obama disinformation campaign being perpetuated against the American people, and if the Obama administration is deliberately attempt to distract the public from the bombshell that Georgia Secretary of State, Brian Kemp, dropped last week when he publicly revealed that the Obama’s Department of homeland Security conducted 10 separate cyberattacks on their election database.

The Georgia Secretary of State’s Office now confirms 10 separate cyberattacks on its network were all traced back to U.S. Department of Homeland Security addresses.

In an exclusive interview, a visibly frustrated Secretary of State Brian Kemp confirmed the attacks of different levels on his agency’s network over the last 10 months. He says they all traced back to DHS internet provider addresses.

It was also confirmed yesterday that both West Virginia and Kentucky were attacked by DHS IP addresses as well, as reported by WSB TV in Atlanta…

While Barack Obama is attempting to distract the nation with claims of “Russian interference,” which his administration cannot even provide the House Intel Committee with proof of, the politicized DHS has been caught red-handed trying to hack into at least three states election databases.

That is what the should be investigated by Congress because the leaked emails sent to Wikileaks came from within, and there is every indication that Russia wasn’t the ones who tried to “hack” the election, but the Obama administration unsuccessfully tried to hack it and when that did not work, they moved on to plan B,  which is an attempt to overturn the results.”

As no less an eminence than Mark Shields has said, the Democrats piss away too much time LGBTQ which is 5% of the population. They are making themselves a marginal party. They quack endlessly about racism, sexism, Islamopohobia or whatever the phobia du jour is. Huge numbers of people who have got work and paycheck worries, including the objects of purported racism, sexism etc. tune the Democrats out.

Democrats refuse to see what cost them the election. It was the candidate. It was what they talk about. It was about who they take money from and who they protect. No need to invoke Russian bogeymen or plagues of locusts.

“Democrats refuse to see what cost them the election.”

      ******

      Yes.

      For example,

large numbers of ordinary, everyday, working class African Americans OPPOSE illegal immigration; but the White/Jew Democrat power structure censors out their voices (especially on liberal talk radio/nooz) so the average person thinks black opposition to illegal immigration is limited to some small fringe group of kooky black Republican “sellouts” and house ni66ers…

I know its counter intuitive for many of you, but the left in general, and Democrats in particular are very intolerant; unlike the Right, they won’t allow you to “win the crowd” with spirited support and defense of your position…

As soon as they get the sense a black person is straying off the “plantation”; they cut your mic and escort you from the room….

The Left works hard to make sure ni66ers try to change everything but themselves.

thwack says, “the reason Janos’ logic is confusing is because he keeps switching between “White” and “Caucasian”; WITHOUT providing a definition of “White.””

Why do you need a definition of “white” from janos?

“The reason he can’t define “white” is because RACISM = WHITE SUPREMACY.”

Your definition leaves out the racism of other “supremacists” = unworkable.

“In other words, he can’t define “white” without PRACTICING racism; which is why he doesn’t want to define it. Janos may be a knuckle head, but even he is smart enough to know that if people find out “white” is whatever the hell he DECIDES it is; they will reject, not only his definition of “white” but the very CONCEPT of white itself.”

Are you trying to tell me that if I say I’m white, I’m a racist, but if I say I’m a caucausian, I’m not, or do you simply have it in for janos.

    • Janos Skorenzy December 17, 2016 at 3:46 pm #

To review: Whites are Northern Caucasians. And to logically complete this: Caucasians are Southern Whites. Official Anthropology has blurred the lines for political purposes, just calling us all Caucasian. But even though we are cousins, the cultural differences between us are huge. In general, we feel closer to East Asians at this point. Of course, the National Socialist Hindus are cool, but colonialism has dampened good relations with such people and its memory lingers on.

I’m not shifting my ground rapidly to create confusion – that is what Thwack is doing. I have stated my grounds very clearly whereas he states we don’t exist.

I have no problem with being a racist, or putting my people first. And as for “Supremacy” – we don’t want it any more. We are better in some ways than other races, and not in other ways.

Another simpler definition: Whites are the native people of Europe. Thwack wants them gone, as do the Jews and Liberals. So he has adopted their cognitive type tactics of attack. Of course, race is fuzzy, be it the White race or any other. There are transitional types – like Charles Bronson with his obvious Central Asian blood. Melania has a touch as well. But because it’s fuzzy and there are transitional types, that means it doesn’t exist? Is that logical? No. Color is also fuzzy, on a spectrum, red becoming pink on one end purple on the other. Does that mean red doesn’t exist?

      Think Thwack, think.

That might have gotten a chuckle at a comedy open mic if you told it well. But humor is not an argument. And getting people to laugh doesn’t make it so.

It might – the old fake it till you make it principle. From a Platonic perspective, the gentleman is already inside you and by “faking” it, you are actually chipping away all the “not gentleman” until he stands revealed. Of course you have to be sincere in your motivation just like anything else. If you are just trying to fool people, then you are right – it’s just window dressing. And that would be true if you were born with a silver spoon in your mouth as well.

Clintonoids of both parties continue to inflate campaign about Russian hackers, who brought victory to Trump, as if really hoping that the electors will vote for Hillary on Monday in spite of the vote in the state, and the louder they scream about the role of Russian hackers, the more Putin’s popularity grows in the United States.

Something is utterly irrational even from the point of view of political cynicism. In my opinion, the Clintonoids just went bonkers, and not only literally but figuratively.

The Butcher’s Bill of 1816: Europe’s Blood-Drenched Year of Horror

A century ago. Europe was busy killing itself–a nightmare we still live with today.

    http://observer.com/2016/12/the-butchers-bill-of-1916-battle-of-verdun-france-wwi/
    ===================================================
Tomorrow, December 18, is the 100th anniversary of the end of the Battle of Verdun, which resulted in the deaths of more than 260,000 soldiers (combined French and German deaths). The Battle of Verdun started on February 21, 1916. For comparison, US deaths in Vietnam were around 55,000 over more than a decade.

There were other very costly battles in 1916: The Somme; battles on the Austrian-Italian front; battles on the eastern (Russian) front.

As a nation we spend a more than a trillion dollars every 24 months on our military, more than any other nation. One would think that military history would be a very important topic of civic discourse among our people, to help assure that mistakes of the past are not repeated. Yet I have observed nearly total media silence about events 100 years ago, in World War I.

Could it be the Military-Industrial Complex does not want us to dwell on the atrocious events that were happening in Europe100 years ago, as such informed thinking would be bad for their business?

    Finca, I am a Clintonoid. — Janet

The most interesting is that the victory to Trump brought those states that traditionally vote for Democrats, but where during the primaries won Bernie Sanders. That is where Hillary Clinton obviously has no control over the polling stations and election commissions. And in these areas for Trump voted the very followers of Bernie Sanders, who in 2008 and 2012 unanimously voted for Barack Obama.

In fact the last time the Republicans won in Wisconsin was in 1984, in Michigan and Pennsylvania in 1988, in Minnesota in 1972. Nevertheless, in 2016, all these states voted for Trump in spite of the fact that the big cities Hillary attributed to herself by hundreds of thousands of votes.

And for me personally, it means that Sanders followers have really realized that the Sanders’ social policy + Foreign Policy of Hillary Clinton = National Socialism of Adolf Schicklgruber (Hitler).

For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open

I just finished watching on the third Russian channel the brilliant Soviet film “Seventeen Moments of Spring” (1973), the action of which ends on March 24, 1945, after the Soviet spy Stirlitz on the instructions of Moscow successfully disrupted the negotiations between commander of the Waffen-SS General Wolf and the future CIA director Allen Dulles, which even the US President Roosevelt was not aware of, and was very surprised, unpleasantly surprised to receive a corresponding note from Josef Stalin.

The most interesting thing is that the staff of the department, which during the war was led by Allen Dulles, was located in the Rockefeller Center, kindly provided to the organization by close Foster-Dulles family friend and the biological father of Bill Clinton, David Rockefeller.

So Stirlitz thought in vain that he managed to tear down American negotiations with Waffen-SS, returning to Berlin into the arms of Gestapo’s Mueller, as in fact in two weeks, US President Franklin Delano Roosevelt suddenly died from a very strange stroke, and the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), in which Dulles served during the war begins forming a Nazi army from prisoners of war in Denmark for joint military action against the Soviet Union.

Only the speed of the Soviet advance towards Berlin and the Reichstag did not allow the United States to end the Second World as an ally of Hitler’s Germany.

Paul Craig Roberts (PCR) is a paranoide Reaganite still fighting the cold war and taking irrational fringe positions because of his paranoia about gun control.

PCR refuses to believe the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School attack even happened. PCR thinks the 2015 Charlie Hebdo attack was executed by the U.S. government to punish France for its independent foreign policy.

PCR see “false flag” operations everywhere to justify gun control legislation (though no gun control ever happened on Bush’s or Obama’s watch). In other words, the dude is in heavy denial of reality.

“Well Cold, You know as well as I do that trump has never been in physical danger in his life.” –Capt.Spaulding

Paul Craig Roberts says Treasonous Traitor Trump is in danger of being assassinated “by a “lone nut” patriot” for whatever PCR’s words are worth.

When Trump publicly called on Russia to hack Hillary Clinton’s emails that was “tantamount to treason” and directly caused Russia to conduct more cyber-espionage against the U.S. than it was already doing. Both the CIA and the FBI are in agreement about that.

Trump is a threat to national security. So PCR’s lone patriot theory might mean Trump is in physical danger of being assassinated.

Suggestion that 62 “dishonest” electors will be able to send man who won the election to ride past the White House against the will of the people who elected him , is too stupid even for American journalists.

In fact, if you remember, before the start of the election campaign 4000 delegates of the Republican convention in unison shouting “lock her up!” at every mention of Hillary Clinton name, and members of the National Rifle Association in unison reminded that the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution guarantees Americans the right to establish not only a well-organized, but very well armed militia to overthrow the usurper and tyrant.

Sacrifice is the basis of moral life and makes Civilization possible – or even tribal or group life. Thus the alpha male baboons will sacrifice themselves for the troop against the leopard. More recently and humanly, Churches demanded the tithe or one tenth of their member’s income for maintenance of the disabled. Needless to say, we wouldn’t have even taken North America from the Indians with the kind of Libertarian mindset the author espouses. Individualism is weakness, insuring that life is nasty, brutal, and short. But what about successful individuals? They are piggybacking off the real Culture. Once too many do this, or that culture as a whole accepts such parasitism as the essence of virtue, then you can be assured that the End is Near. That is where we are now.

“or that culture as a whole accepts such parasitism as the essence of virtue”

That is what tax avoidance and tax evasion are: parasitism. “Let the other poor schmucks pay. I’ll pay as little as possible because I am a parasite.” That is the essence of conservative libertarian Republican individualism.

It doesn’t matter whether tax avoidance is legal or whether tax evasion is illegal. Both have the same aim: perpetuate parasitism of individuals who do not believe in government and want to shrink government and drown it in a bathtub.

The other day I was watching one of those asbestos/mesothelioma lawyer settlement commercials and I began to think back on all the things I have done in my life that have exposed me to asbestos. Certainly doing remodeling on older homes and changing brakes on cars exposed me to not small amounts.

And then there were those summers in high school when I worked as a hod carrier for a masonry company. I would build scaffold, wheel wheelbarrows, and carry stacked bricks up steep ladders on to roofs where they were stacked for the bricklayers to complete fireplace chimneys.

And I also mixed the bricklaying “mud” by hoisting fifty pound bags of masonry cement up onto a sharp implement on the mixer which ripped the bag and allowed the cement to fall down into the water and sand tumbling around the mixer below. And that cloud of masonry cement dust that I inhaled and blew out of a clogged nose day after was apparently chock full of asbestos.

It was the hardest work I ever did and really drove home the point of seeking to educate one’s self. But that same mental impetus that seeks out education also spurs one to look where there is no point. After all, some things are better off not knowing well after the fact.

On the other hand, as the saying goes, a person is going to feel pretty stupid lying in their grave, ‘dead from nothing’.

TV advertising is getting pretty lame; lawyers trolling for victims, mattresses, prescription medications, commercials for cars nobody can afford anymore, and vacuum cleaners. That’s about it. The action seems to have moved over to social media. What it comes down to is advertisers don’t think there’ll be much of a return on pitching products to unemployed people watching Jerry Springer in the middle of the day.
