Was it just me, or did you also notice that NBC’s Savannah Guthrie decided to play Special Prosecutor in Thursday night’s “town hall” gotcha-fest with Mr. Trump, whom they had perched on some Modernista stool-of-punishment? The hectoring interrogation started from the get-go — the “townies” distributed around the set apparently just props — while Ms. Guthrie barked over the President with various renderings of the old shyster’s retort, but do you still beat your wife?

Over on ABC, Ol’ White Joe Biden lounged comfortably in low light and cushy seating with his therapist, George Stephanopoulos, free associating on the wonders and marvels he will bring about in the Kingdom Come of his presidency. Strangely, the subject of his family’s lucrative business dealings in Ukraine, China, and Russia a few years back never came up in the confab, a therapeutic omission that seemed to amount to malpractice.

I speak of the evidence found on a laptop computer apparently belonging to R. Hunter Biden, Ol’ White Joe’s crackhead son, outlining the many services Biden & Co. rendered to bigwigs in foreign lands for millions of dollars when Pop, “the big guy,” was vice-president. The Democrats’ new Ministry of Truth played a DEFCON-3 defense on these matters when it all broke in The New York Post at midweek. Twitter labeled it “unsafe” and banned all transmission of the news. Facebook’s Communications Director Andy Stone, a former Democratic Party employee (House Majority Political Action Committee Director; Press Secretary to Sen. Barbara Boxer), likewise squashed any links to the story on FB’s social network.

The New York Times rolled out the latest Ministry of Truth strategy Friday morning, in a tortured front-page story resorting to the tried-and-true claim that the laptop evidence was “Russian disinformation.” Sh’yeah…. The laptop had languished in the possession of Christopher Wray’s FBI since December 2019. The evidence contained in its some-40,000 emails pertained exactly to the matters at issue in the impeachment of President Trump at that time, i.e. Ukraine favor-seeking. The Delaware repair shop owner who handed over the machine burned a copy of its hard-drive, and when the FBI just sat on all that, he turned the drive over to Rudy Giuliani, one of the President’s attorneys.

One would have to suppose a number of things about these explosive revelations: For instance, that the FBI conducted some kind of forensic study of the laptop and its contents, and that it would not be too difficult to ascertain that the email trove was authentically the “work product” of R. Hunter Biden. If so, Mr. Wray has an awful lot to answer for.

Likewise, one might suppose that Rudy Giuliani, working on an extremely consequential case for a sitting president, and being a former distinguished federal attorney experienced with, and fastidious about, the handling of evidence, took some pains to ascertain the authenticity of the documents he received. Having done so, one might also suppose that Mr. Giuliani had handed off this material to the Attorney General, Mr. Barr — along with documentation he’s known to have collected about the Biden family’s money-laundering trail through the Baltic states to process additional payments for services rendered above and beyond the millions paid to R. Hunter Biden by Burisma, the Ukrainian gas company whose board of directors he was installed on in 2014.

What all that evidence speaks of is a Biden & Co. foreign influence-peddling scheme that amounts to selling out the USA while Ol’ White Joe was vice-president carrying out official tasks in the countries that paid his son enormous sums of money. The evidence clearly contradicts Mr. Biden’s basic claim that he never spoke with his son, Hunter, about his business dealings. The evidence also indicates clearly that Mr. Biden, then vice-president, received a cut of the collected lucre distributed among the family members. In a normal America, these issues would prompt some sort of official inquiry possibly leading to indictments. But these are the most abnormal times, and the final weeks of a vicious national election that is an existential threat to that coterie of Deep State seditionists whose careers, reputations, and livelihoods are at stake in the outcome.

So, of course, their Ministry of Truth is pulling out all the stops to squash the story. But their hubris is showing. Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook and Jack Dorsey of Twitter, being mega-billionaires, probably think that they have the resources to hire every attorney in the known universe to guard their empires. One important lesson for the nation might come out of this: that lawyers and lawfare do not amount to a supernatural protection force. The truth has a mighty power of its own and there are moments in history when it manages to overcome organized evil.

Well yes, but the “truth” is different depending on which side you’re on. Just as members of Trump’s inner circle getting Covid was deemed horridly irresponsible and due to their “lax safety standards” but no one has said boo about Harri’s staffers getting Coivd. What’s good for the goose is NOT good for the gander these days…… And MSM sure isn’t going to point any of this out!

  2. Beryl of Oyl October 16, 2020 at 9:51 am #

    Good morning.
    Nice, sober reporting.

I’ve been trying to find the version of President Trump’s inaugural speech where, when he gets to the part about American interests first and only, they cut away to Jill Biden and she looks as if she’s been punched in the gut.

I would like to point out that these same media titans or whatever they are, who want to quash the Biden story, are also fighting against any actual scientific truth about the scamdemic getting out.

    • Sean Coleman October 17, 2020 at 5:00 pm #

I do not understand why the camera showed Jill Biden because I would not expect Trump’s camp to have any influence over any media event. Am I wrong? You are right about the media covering up the truth about the virus.

    • shotho October 16, 2020 at 10:06 am #

He’s definitely got a way about him. We’re going to need his voice when the Democrats take over and totalitarianism descends full-time.

      • Rodster October 16, 2020 at 11:15 am #

All anyone can do is poke fun at the absurdity until they get mad and take action. George Orwell’s 1984 wasn’t this “extreme”. Yet we are now living that novel and the worse is yet to come.

It’s the reason the Founding Fathers gave us the right to carry arms and the Left knows this and is the reason why they want to disarm it’s citizens.

        • Ron Anselmo October 16, 2020 at 2:53 pm #

Rodster – you are 100% correct.

America is the last armed country. The last country where the government fears the people – with good reason.

If we ever lose 2A rights, ALL our freedoms in 1A will be extinguished.

          …shall not be infringed.

If by some miracle, the Democrats win, the “Resistance” needs be reminded that paybacks are a bitch..

          • stelmosfire October 16, 2020 at 3:44 pm #

Ron A, registered guns are in the minority. 500 million guns in the country! HAHA. No way “THEY” disarm the deplorables. Same for gold and silver confiscation. All mine fell out of a canoe last year in a lake in Maine. THEY can look but THEY will not find shit.

          • Ron Anselmo October 16, 2020 at 3:55 pm #

Yep St.A, the number of firearms lost in boating incidents is almost hard to believe. If it hadn’t happened to me as well, I’d hardly believe it.

Has there been any smear pieces of the Delaware repair shop owner yet? The msm must have a Word template to insert false claims of [white supremacy links] [racism] [tax evasion] [misogyny]. Even though its available to them, they won’t use the [pedophilia] block of code, as that’s under social engineering to be acceptable in the future.

No one has mentioned how, after the Obamas went to work for Netflix, they started producing kiddie porn.

      • benr October 16, 2020 at 10:30 am #

        Is cuties really kiddie porn?
My understanding is it goes to far and the result of such activity canb clearly be seen in the Jean Bonnet Ramsey case.

        https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_JonBen%C3%A9t_Ramsey

        • Beryl of Oyl October 16, 2020 at 10:41 am #

It violates federal law. There are claims made that it is some sort of high-minded exploration of something, something, art.

If that is the case, why is it called Cuties?

          • beantownbill. October 16, 2020 at 1:41 pm #

2 nights ago, having seen most every movie I cared to see, I tuned in to a Prime Video movie called ‘Train’. It was beyond disgusting. It was about a sadistic, body-part harvesting Russian train crew. It was all gore all the time. It showed conscious people being vivisectioned, guts spilling out, castration, blood squirting, manual separation of chest cavities exposing internal organs, etc., etc.

But the interesting thing is that although Prime Video is a major TV movie outlet with millions of viewers, I haven’t seen nor read about any complaints about this exceptionally nasty production.

Yet, many people are complaining about ‘Cuties’, which I also saw. It was about some 11 year old girls trying to win a twerking dance contest, and about pre-teen rebellion. It wasn’t art, and it’s presentation of the girls’ costumes and sexuality obviously was to exploit viewers’ voyeuristic tendencies. But it wasn’t gross, nor was it a venture into pornography, IMO.

So, my point is, what’s wrong with our sick society such that a horrible, bloody, wacked-out movie like ‘Train’ garnered no objections, yet a movie about pre-teens exposure to sexuality, a totally understandable, natural, non-pornographic common occurrence, has received condemnation?

          • stelmosfire October 16, 2020 at 3:59 pm #

Bill, unbelievable shit movies with human degradation. The “Human Centipede” flix are beyond the pale. How this violent filth gets released boggles my mind. I cn’t watch this crap but I know teens that do.

        • hmuller October 16, 2020 at 10:42 am #

Nothing Obama does surprises me anymore. Remember the John Podesta e-mail that says Obama spent $60,000 on a “hot dog party” in the White House. Reference the FBI handbook on code words used by pedophiles and the cost makes more sense..

          • abbybwood October 16, 2020 at 12:14 pm #

If the FBI has had the hard drive for 10 months then why didn’t they warn us of Russian interference in the election?

If its authentic then why wait?

Could be helpful to VP Harris in the future.

What is going on at the FBI?

      • abbybwood October 18, 2020 at 12:51 am #

What is going on at the FBI?

        Nothing.

  6. shotho October 16, 2020 at 10:03 am #

Beware the FBI; it’s rapidly morphing into KGB.

    • vengeur October 16, 2020 at 10:10 am #

No one has ever been able to explain to me how, with 17 US intelligence agencies, not one of them was aware that Hillary Clinton was sending classified emails on an unsecured server .

      • Zoltar October 16, 2020 at 10:40 am #

Much of the national budget, especially in the realm of “Security,” is dark matter – we’ll never see those numbers. Our rulers admit to seventeen security agencies. I would bet that there are even more, and that we’ll never even know of their existence.

    • Zoltar October 16, 2020 at 10:37 am #

That train left the station a long time ago. Ever heard of J. Edgar Hoover?

    • Rodster October 16, 2020 at 11:16 am #

Rapidly morphing? I’d venture to say the FBI, NSA and CIA are NO different than the KGB.

      • JohnAZ October 16, 2020 at 12:04 pm #

The NSA’s capabilities make this combination much more dangerous than the KGB ever was.

        • thirdcoastlegend October 16, 2020 at 1:18 pm #

          Concur with John.

The KGB was excellent at human intelligence (spies et. al) but they did not have the vast, all-pervasive signals intelligence capabilities that are available to NSA, CIA, FBI, DHS, DIA, NRO, etc.

      • abbybwood October 18, 2020 at 12:55 am #

        Maybe, ummm, worse??

    • abbybwood October 16, 2020 at 12:27 pm #

I sincerely wonder if Christopher Wray will ever have to answer the questions: You have been in possession of Hunter’s laptop for almost a year, where is it now? Were the contents analyzed? Are the contents still intact with a verifiable chain of custody? Were Hunter Biden, Joe Biden or any of the other individuals involved questioned about the contents of the emails? Were there photos and videos of underage girls seen in compromising sexual situations with Hunter Biden?

If the evidence on this laptop was investigated and ignored, why is that?

I wish Trump could get re-elected just to clean up The Justice Department. Maybe put a full page ad in The New York Post (the new paper of record) and get some out-side the swamp lawyers to apply to be AG and head of FBI? That would get some shit stirred up.

Wouldn’t that be a funny video. Flynn’s lawyer on her first day as AG coming to work with a plumbing snake to drain the building. Ha!!!!

      • So many liars October 16, 2020 at 4:51 pm #

I absolutely LOVE the idea of Sidney Powell empowered to drain that building!

        Fantastic!!

      • craigm October 17, 2020 at 6:51 pm #

Now I think I see where this might be going. Offer to turn in Hunter Biden hard drive was turned down twice by the FBI. Suddenly there’s a grand jury ssubpoena.
Might be part of the DOJ investigation. We won’t hear about the results till after the election.

      • hmuller October 18, 2020 at 8:18 pm #

There are plenty of ass holes at the DOJ and FBI who really deserve the plumbing snake treatment.

    • Ziggy S. October 16, 2020 at 3:58 pm #

  7. volodya October 16, 2020 at 10:12 am #

And so out of this obstacle course of obstruction, suppression, misinformation, bullshit, half-truths, outright lies, all of it in service of a small coterie billionaires and their enabling clerisy in the foreign policy establishment, in the Treasury, in investigative and intel agencies, and other institutions of government otherwise known as the Deep State, what will come?

Truth maybe, but don’t hold your breath, but not justice, not even remotely that, because if past behavior is any predictor of future behavior, what these Deep State actors will do is to cover-up, and if not cover-up, then cook up legal justifications for not prosecuting the long list of malefactors discussed in this blog and others and never mind small irrelevancies like evidence.

What was Crazy Joe and his boy up to in those foreign climes? What normally attracts the attention of normally attentive people is the exchange of a lot of money with an unreasonable justification behind it. If you say that someone spent hundreds of thousands for a piece of construction equipment, and the buyer is a construction company operator, then such a transaction makes sense on the face of it. But when money exchanges hands, when a LOT of money exchanges hands, with flimsy-looking pretexts, then it’s natural to wonder wtf is going on, especially when the payor is domiciled in a notoriously corrupt regime and when the payee was a drug-taking, booze swilling ne-er-do-well, whose Daddy happens to have been Veep of the US of A. Is there a national interest in knowing all about this? Of course there is. What was the quid pro quo? What was Joe expected to do in return for this apparent largesse?

    • SW October 16, 2020 at 10:31 am #

Daddy was guaranteeing loans from the US for a billion dollars.

      • beantownbill. October 16, 2020 at 1:47 pm #

That’s it, right there. Gross smugness.

      • hmuller October 16, 2020 at 3:43 pm #

As we examine the Biden crime family business dealings, where is that crusader against public corruption, Adam Schiff? He just about wore out the term “quid pro quo” last year. Sunday morning talking head Democrats were repeating it like overpaid, well-trained parrots.

        • abbybwood October 18, 2020 at 1:23 am #

Speaking of all the “Sunday morning” gabfests, I have to wonder if ANY of them will mention any of the Joe/Hunter Biden email evidence coming from the laptop??

I only say “evidence” because, no thanks to the FBI telling us, it appears that the laptop Hunter (or his quizzling) left at the repair shop for over the 90 day limit did indeed belong to Hunter Biden.

Why else would his lawyer demand the hard drive from the shop?

Why else would one of those “cc’d” persons on the emails admit to The New York Post (our real newspaper of record) that the emails are legit?

If the FBI knew the emails were a “Russian” operation, why would they not have exposed the plot many months ago? The FBI has had the laptop since last December!! They can’t blame Covid-19 for Joe and Hunter Biden being some of the most criminally corrupt anti-American grifters in U.S. history!

But the most dangerous part of this criminality is that Joseph Biden, candidate for President of the United States, set up a national security NIGHTMARE for the American people by allowing himself to be potentially blackmailed by China and Ukraine during his possible four years as President.

Never mind not voting for the liar! He should have the biggest book The Justice Department has thrown at him with a nice copy of his mug shot spread all over Twitter, Facebook and the MSM.

What a bunch of schmucks all the “early voters” have been.

  10. getsome October 16, 2020 at 10:19 am #

For those actually paying attention, these futile attempts at censorship will fail. Many Americans, who previously had little interest in politics, have had their normalcy bias re elections jolted hard stop. They’re now analyzing the MSM and the results, as such, will be revealed Nov 3rd, much to the chagrin of the liberal media and the severe anguish of liberals. An aside: I was working at a very liberal hospital’s OR and when asked about the election said Trump. Slight derision vocalized but no real Animosity. Trump wins. How on earth did I call it? Easy, crowd size Trump and hubris on Clinton and the dems. Same Same today. Joe up 12 points in which altered reality! Nuff said.

Yeah, I was thinking that too. It’s like, do these moguls really think that the NY Post petard will be suppressed by them not transmitting it? I mean, really do these guys really think people are so stupid they would not know how to google out “New York Post Hunter Biden emails”?

    • abbybwood October 18, 2020 at 1:40 am #

And I noticed one of Biden’s campaign staffers said today, “Don’t believe the polls!” as he/she was dragged off stage.

      Ha!

Pretty hard to believe “the polls” when Biden has to cheat his way to victory with bogus debate/Townhall moderators and when literally no one shows up for his events (compared to Trump’s crowds).

God, how stoopit the MSM/Big Tech must think the American people are!

BTW, if the United States wants to spread democracy to the rest of the world, best we show them that propagandistic media and a corrupt justice system is NOT the way to go.

    =The Clocks Struck Thirteen=

Thats how “1984” begins. Since book reading nowadays is soooo not cool let’s regress to something more basic:

    A children’s riddle asks:
“What time is it when the clock strikes thirteen?”
    The answer is ………..

    • Beryl of Oyl October 16, 2020 at 10:37 am #

Time to get the clock fixed.
I think it’s more like time to start cleaning clocks.

Speaking of reading, I tried to get hold of Jack Cashill’s new book, Unmasking Obama.

We have a yuge inter-library lending system, I could not locate one copy.

      • John1945 October 16, 2020 at 11:04 am #

=Time to get the clock fixed.=

No. Apple salesman would say “You need a new iPhone !!!” .And he will be right, because what is good for the stock market is good for the country and vice versa 🙂

        =inter-library lending system=

It takes about 6-8 weeks for a book to arrive thru the inter-library transfer because they use cheapest 4th class mail.I am patient but not THAT patient.

        • Beryl of Oyl October 16, 2020 at 11:18 am #

      The possibilities are.

What I find so disturbing in all of this is comparing Cook county election fraud to why Watergate even happened.
Then we have Russiagate and all the nonsense that is historical fact around the absolute freak out of Democrats and Rino anti-trumpers.
The future is going to look at all this very bleakly and ask what the hell was wrong with all these people.
If no one is prosecuted for these crimes it is a tacit nod to continue and double down on this behavior.
What next polonium in rivals tea?

    • DrTomSchmidt October 16, 2020 at 10:37 am #

There’s nothing wrong with all those people. They’ve found a way to wet their beaks, and they want to keep getting their beaks wet. That’s fundamental in human nature, and a society that tries to pretend otherwise will fail.

The problem is that the people who will seek fame and fortune opposing the beak-wetters have now way to wet their own beaks by frog-marching the guilty in front of cameras. THAT is what has changed.

And fools like me thought that if Trump managed to beat The Queen in 2016 there would be the usual peaceful transition of power.

Obviously now we can all see that was never to be.

Election night at The Javits Center in NYC with all the cancelled fireworks turned out to be the catalyst for the biggest case of mass psychotic hate toward the winner of a presidential election in U.S. history with all the Congressional shenanigans and illegal spying attached to it.

Trump Derangement Syndrome is a real mental illness, probably more deadly than Covid-19.

It wasn’t your imagination that Savannah Guthrie was playing the role of Grand Inquisitor and from the very beginning interrupting him nonstop. It was a shrewish, unprofessional performance but will no doubt be praised to the skies by NBC as a hard-hitting-got-what-he-deserved interview.

Joe with George (who had the temerity to slightly push him on the issue of packing the Supreme Court) in the lounge chairs with the deserted auditorium had to interrupt Gramps when he rambled on too long. Who will they get to moderate the debate next week I wonder?

And the laptop? I read that it’s being referred to now as “stolen” so we’ll see where that goes.

    • hmuller October 16, 2020 at 10:54 am #

I hear they hired some guys from Antifa as moderators.

    • Night Owl October 16, 2020 at 11:09 am #

As much as I would have liked to see Joe stumble his way though a debate with Trump again, the Town Hall event was extremely positive for the president.

Guthrie was ineffective because she was shrill and repeating talking points that have been debunked. Had she brought some new material to the table, the McMedia might have done some damage, but as things were, well …

Somebody also fucked up big time in letting a tall, lean strong-looking black woman in a bright red mask sit right over Trump’s shoulder, cheering him on.

Another galaxy brain operation from the McMedia and the McResistance.

      • SW October 16, 2020 at 11:24 am #

Some of Guthrie’s questions back-fired on her too. When she brought up the white supremacy thing again Trump (uninterrupted) clearly stated that antifa was the violent group causing destruction and operating in Democratically controlled cities and states. And that he would concede the election — he just wants it to be fair.

George never asked Joe if he agreed with Hillary to “not concede the election under any circumstances”. The questions he asked about the police were answered with garbled and contradictory positions or completely avoided. What’s been happening in places like Portland ignored and Joe’s idea was to train social workers and psychologists to go out with police on calls in case the perpetrators were mentally ill. Volunteers, anyone?

        • Night Owl October 16, 2020 at 11:41 am #

Yes, and she made a particularly big mistake bringing up Q. Whatever Q is is irrelevant, so long as they can’t definitively tie it to Trump. And, of course, they cannot.

In response, Trump simply points out that the Qers appear to be against pedos.

So attacking Q kinda makes one look like a pedo. And good luck with that flex.

It was beautiful to watch; they don’t even realize how stupid they are.

          • kbird October 16, 2020 at 5:55 pm #

            Nightowl,
Hilarious! Q is the gonorrhea of conspiracy theories. Attacking Q does not make one look like a Pedo, that’s one of the dumbest things I’ve heard. Qanon and anyone that believes it is disgusting. Pedophilia is horrible and real, there is no doubt about that. But the cult of Q says that only Democrats and specifically Hollywood democrats are engaged in satanic pedolphilia and cannibalism..Let’s see, Oprah Winfrey has been falsely accused, Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks, the list goes on. Oh and don’t forget the ridiculous Wayfair conspiracy that overpriced cabinets were actually people selling children, boom, you get your cabinet with a child inside. The child sex trafficking hotline was so inundated with phone calls after that ridiculous debunked theory that the actual real kids that needed to get through on that line couldn’t. And wait, my favorite part, Donald Trump is our SAVIOR!! LOL!!! He’s going to put an end to this child sex trafficking satanic cannibal, but wait, when has he ever not bragged about anything??hmmm, Trump not bragging and taking credit for taking down this cabal, he would never miss an opportunity for that. He wont’ denounce Qanon because that would piss off his base that follows the ridiculous cult of Qanon. That is why he won’t denounce it, pretty obvious for anyone with somewhat intelligence to see.

          • Night Owl October 16, 2020 at 6:14 pm #

The majority of folks listening to the debate will never read your long, poorly written post.

But they will know that Trump said Qers are anti-pedo and that the point was dropped after that.

            Trumped by intelligence, it seems.

            Too bad, so sad.

          • kbird October 16, 2020 at 6:22 pm #

            Nightowl,
Of course I wouldn’t expect any of his supporters to read my post, they are too dumb. And your response didn’t even address any of the FACTS that I mentioned. But that’s ok, I didn’t think that you would anyways.

          • sophia October 16, 2020 at 10:35 pm #

            Kbird,

Those are not facts. For example, you state Q explicitly implicates only democrats as pedos. Not so. A post a little while back gave a specific and long list of those implicated, and it included many Republicans.

          • Night Owl October 17, 2020 at 7:09 am #

Back your facts with concrete evidence for us, Kbird.

This is a familiar game, and I am happy to play it with you.

Tell us all about Q, and show your work with concrete evidence. The floor is yours.

          • HapMan October 17, 2020 at 11:25 am #

            kbird,

Your post said all that needs to be said about this sad phenomenon.

I’m guessing you have better things to do with your time than wrangle with an obvious troll farm worker who argues that attacking QAnon makes one look like a child molester. He does a fine job of landing punches on his own face in the process egging on the Trumpists here.

Most Q followers will get bored with it and move on to other things soon enough, if it doesn’t evaporate on its own after the election. I wouldn’t spend any more of your precious time on Planet Earth trying time argue about its details.

          • Night Owl October 17, 2020 at 3:43 pm #

HalfMan also has no facts at the ready?

A common theme with the prog tin-foilers here.

In a classic example of why racist/racial stereotypes are not a good system the NBC team assumed that because she was Black she would hate Trump. They placed her in view, behind him for that reason.

I can’t figure out why Trump would want to agree to someone like Guthrie when he saw who Biden was going to be “grilled” by. He should have immediately ask for for Martha McCallum / Brett Baier.

People behind the scenes, behind the scenes at You-Tube. No I did not repeat myself.

I’m 100% independent hosted on a server currently located in Boise Idaho. Zukersucker – You Tube – Google. Nobody can touch my shit. I am not their bitch. 100% independent means there is no patsy to hide behind. Big Brother fucks with my shit. The Big Brother and no other. I went 100% for a reason. So, a personal Psy-Op to keep me from typing some of the forbidden knowledge I stumbled over long ago and which developed into a refined dogs nose that sniffs it out wherever it decides to take a piss.

Government Employees are very active in You-Tube super chats. That is what triggered it. I started typing about phones and Michigan.

A side benefit of all the years of typing here and elsewhere got my typing speed up enough so I can cruise in video live chat pretty easy. And say what I want, contributing to the live conversations if I can.

Do that in a chatroom with 1000 people and it can be a rush. But, I found out this wormhole in the manufactured reality of consent is well plugged. Constipated even. Found out the hard way.

Smoke em while you got em, good work if you can get it, and I hope they all get the covid.

It sounds like we share an enmity against the deep state and so-called “Intell Community” Ironically, I retired from the NSA which I once naively believed was dedicated to protecting America, not enslaving its citizens in a globalist Orwellian dystopia.

Trump talks a good game at times, but so far has a very spotty record in “delivering us from evil”. I can’t claim his brains and 3D chess moves. But if I appointed swamp creatures to clean the swamp and watched them deliberately fail for 4 years, I would change my strategy. Assuming I were sincere. But that’s just simple me.

          • K-Dog October 19, 2020 at 9:18 am #

Fucking with an isolated old boomer who just had a double hernia operation and confusing him with ‘antifa’ because he can make a complete sentence sometimes, shows that the intel community is not doing so good in the ‘dedicated to protecting America’ department. But those chess move aside the globalist Orwellian dystopia idea of keeping people safe by interfering and shutting down substantive discussion is not a good strategy. It is a putrid strategy.

And it has the real bad effect of dumbing down the already dumb.

As bad as Trumpovetsky was, there will be far worse in the future.

  15. newworld October 16, 2020 at 10:29 am #

A good chance the Biden corruption has little effect. Because the usual outrage that we conservatives take for granted falls on deaf ears across the aisle with “liberals”

The Democratic party is a coalition of tribes out for loot, and as long as the tribes do not feel the heat for another tribe’s actions they could care less. So appeals to common decency have little to no effect on the D-party and if the D-party brushes it off the independent moderate know nothings think no big deal.

As for Mr. K. I think him absolutely correct and IMO he has a time preference far outside the norms of the Democratic voters’ usual Mayfly attention span.

When one D-party tribe poops on the carpet you pick up another D-party tribe and whomp its butt for the actions of the pooper tribe.

There you go again, jumping in with both feet and making an arse of yourself.

You think it’s a spelling mistake. But it’s not.

Think about it a bit harder. I’ve left another clue in this post, but maybe you’re too much of a donkey to spot it.

Yea as far as looking like an ass I simply can’t compete with you you’re a natural puckered butt for all to see.

I actually thought you’d get that one, because you came close on the last thread.

          Ohysiam

You are an shill for the Trump losers over the years.

This guy got bad advice to get involved in Atlantic City and just about lost everything. He climbed back from that to where he is today.

BTW, how many billions have you accumulated. You calling down Trump is a bi weekly joke on this blog.

          • ohyesiam October 16, 2020 at 12:49 pm #

Trump is reckoned to be worth about $2-3 billion. If he had just put Daddy’s money in a mutual fund and sat on his arse, he’d be worth about $8 billion by now.

            Business genius!

          • hmuller October 16, 2020 at 3:16 pm #

            Ohyesiam,

You seem to have a problem with numbers and with time. Your sloppiness disappoints me, I actually thought you were sharper than that.

You say today Trump is worth 3.1 billion today then assume that’s how much his father left him upon his death in 1999.

Several articles say his father gave him the equivalent of 413 million in today’s dollars which would have been a lot fewer dollars back then.

            Here’s what Forbes said Oct 08, 2018;
            :
Donald has received at least $413 million in today’s dollars. Fred Trump also helped bail Donald Trump out of his financial difficulties in the early 1990s. This is an incredible amount of wealth to inherit. However, President Trump’s net worth is $3.1 billion in the current Forbes 400 listing. After two divorces and lavish expenditures, Donald Trump’s net worth is more than seven times the current value of what he has inherited. The Times article states, “Had Trump done nothing but invest the money his father gave him in an index fund that tracks the S&P 500, he would be worth $1.96 billion.”

            https://www.forbes.com/sites/berniekent/2018/10/08/new-york-times-fred-donald-trump/#5b3f32933d46

        • tlauria October 16, 2020 at 12:41 pm #

Trump got one million from Daddy, by all accounts.
He “grew” that into whatever he’s got by being a cut throat businessman/real estate developer in NYC. That takes balls and brains. And certainly some rule breaking.

The Bidens are cheap, garden variety political grifters ripping off all American citizen taxpayers. I assume you’re one but you seem to be OK with getting ripped off.

          That explains a lot.

          • ohyesiam October 16, 2020 at 2:37 pm #

            Trump inherited $413 million.

          • hmuller October 16, 2020 at 4:07 pm #

The article says today’s equivalent to $413 million which in 1999 dollars in more like $150 million. As I recall the Dow was around 10,000 in 1999 and is around 28,000 today. Even including reinvested dividends, there is no way 150 million can grow to 8 billion today as you claim. Please explain.

My dream is a second four years with the lame duck Trump ripping the hell out of the corrupt Deep State. I have hope still that the folks will come to their senses and vote for DJT.

    • hmuller October 16, 2020 at 11:10 am #

Oh ed, you think the deep state is against Trump because they don’t like his personality, because he’s an “ass”? They (and the masters they serve) are guilty of crimes against humanity and against the American people pre-dating the Kennedy assassination.

But I suspect you’d just dismiss all that as crazy conspiracy theory talk. But ask yourself, why do you believe conspiracies are crazy and impossible? Who programmed that belief into you? If they did their job, you’re convinced your own sharp, logical mind reached that conclusion by itself.

      • JohnAZ October 16, 2020 at 11:31 am #

Conspiracies work best when silent. The conspirators spend much effort hiding their pathways and convincing their opposition they do not exist. The globalists are masters. The Rothschilds have run rampant over the world for hundreds of years and the vast majority of people still do not know who they are or what there history is.

The evidence of conspiracy is the coordination of many sectors aimed at a common goal.

Currently that goal is the overthrow of Constitutional USA and the barbs are coming from every direction. Stupidification of the voter base is about to make the Left dreams come true.

Pray for a revelation in the voting public to defend against the success of the greatest conspiracy in world history.

        • abbybwood October 16, 2020 at 1:35 pm #

          Another problem with “early voting”.

Imagine all the schmucks who raced to check the Biden/Harris box and quickly submitted their ballots only to discover an October Surprise that showed Biden to be a criminal grifter worthy of prison!

He and his lawyers will probably claim his dementia was already setting in when he was the “Big Man” getting paid Big Bucks and to prove it Biden will probably claim Korn Pop was at the Burisma meeting taking notes.

Lesson: Do NOT vote early! Wait until Election Day then do your ballot and drop it off!

Back in 2016, I was hoping Trump and Putin would pioneer a new world order due to the vast changes in peoples expectations the world over. Then CCN started the Russia gate operation and Trump started trumping up a “wall.”

    • JohnAZ October 16, 2020 at 11:20 am #

Trump is so outnumbered by all parts of the Deep State that it is a miracle he could do anything. Yet his accomplishments list is long, both foreign and domestic.

My major disappointment with him are the inability to get the never Trumpers act together to come up with a better answer to the health care cost problem and the inability to stop the uncontrolled illegal immigrant influx. That wall should be there. The resistance did a good job of cancelling Trump’s stamp, unfortunately for the people of the US.

The saddest part of the Deep State agenda is the success of the Democrats Stupidification program. 10% poll advantage by a nincompoop is proof positive. Also, the inane hearing of Amy Barrett who danced circles around her idiot interrogators, these are supposed to be intelligent people who make our decisions for us. Blind, follow the MSM has replaced intelligence in the US populace.

      • Night Owl October 16, 2020 at 11:28 am #

I have changed my mind about Barrett. She made a very good impression. Watching her slice and dice some of her interlocutors was impressive.

The segments with Hirono and Harris were comedy gold. Particularly he quip to Harris about cases affecting people. Harris’s question may have been one of the dumbest utterances heard in any confirmation hearing — ever.

And they may be running this country in three months.

            It makes me shudder.

BTW. Amy Barrett in place may block all the country changing debacles the Dems are going to try to pull. She is an originality meaning that when the Dems try to change the Constitution through the courts, it is not going to work. That is the real reasons the Libs are incensed.

BTW2. Blumenthal said this AM that if Barrett is approved, the Left needs to hit the streets in protest.

Who is encouraging the anarchy in the US?

          • benr October 16, 2020 at 11:59 am #

at a more basic level look at all the things not set into law but set forth in court cases.
Far easier to reverse court cases then it is laws on the books.
            One such is gay marriage.
In California the voters voted in a pretty large margin against allowing gay marriage and that was over turned in a court of law.
At the time I voted against it as well but once the court over turned it I asked myself what did it really matter.
The world did not end but California has been on Fire since then and it gets worse every year.

“I love you all, but I don’t receive any respect.” Fully tragic with no resolve. Let us help him. Let us stroke Hunter’s inflated testicles with our taxes. Is he married to a wammin or whut?

In 2016, he began dating Hallie Biden, the widow of his brother, Beau. Ass wipe political endeavors? If anyone is looking at White Privilege he most certainly nailed it.

Who, where, why or how is this guy, this Hunter?

    • BackRowHeckler October 16, 2020 at 1:02 pm #

Hunter is out in LA, driving on the freeways in a Lamborghini.

He forgot about his laptop, but if you recall, a few years back, Hunter abandoned a rental car, and when recovered it was found full of contraband, including crack cocaine and a crack pipe full of residue.

Joe to Hunter: “Stupid kid, you’d forget your head if it wasn’t attached to your shoulders.”

      • hmuller October 16, 2020 at 1:49 pm #

Hunter also forgot a bun he left in the oven until the girl’s lawyers caught up with him.

    • abbybwood October 16, 2020 at 2:18 pm #

He married a nice Jewish girl and they had a baby and I think they live in Beverly Hills. His new daughter is a few months younger than the strippers daughter he is father to and I think they live in Arkansas. That mother had to sue him for paternity and DNA proved he is the father. He tried pleading poverty when it came down to a monthly child care payment.

Every now and then the Daily Mail will show a picture of Hunter shopping in BH with his wife:

I wonder, how can any sane American adult not be horrified by the blatant corruption and lawlessness of the Left and their allies? How can a person not see what is so plain before their eyes?

    1) In a phone conversation yesterday, my 25-year-old daughter was trying to sort out in her mind the difference between the Civil War era and the Civil Rights era. Civil this, civil that. I guess they’re the same thing, right?

    2) My husband is not registered and has never voted. I shared some information in defense of Trump, and he responded, “Sounds bogus. I don’t believe that.” Wouldn’t even consider it.

    3) My boss is an intelligent politically engaged professional. Over the years I’ve seen him shift his beliefs to align with whatever the current democratic dogma dictates. He willingly allows the media to tell him what to think. Baffling.

      @So many liars

you: “How can a person not see what is so plain before their eyes?”

It is virtually impossible to see anything in any sense clearly when it is the natural illusion of the brain and the lifelong media programming that things can be seen rather than it being a kaleidoscope of constantly morphing light rays that strike the optical sensors in the eyes where the light energy is converted into bio-electrical nerve impulses to titillate the brain.

The horror, to me, is that most humans believe that they can “see” “things”, a double wrong with no right in sight.

      “maybe, baby…”

      “i’m a believer. i couldn’t leave her if i tried”

Sorry, but it seems that preponderance of the evidence suggest that the brain is completely isolated from the outside world in every sense. What, in the hell, could it possibly see, hear, smell, taste, feel, know?

Carry on, beach combers, the ocean will return in just a bit.

We have been waiting for HalfMan to provide us with the crimes and the concrete evidence for said crimes for well over 3 years now.

      • HapMan October 16, 2020 at 8:24 pm #

Speaking of crimes, here we are in the homestretch, and we’re still waiting for the indictments of the Bidens, the Clintons, and the “Obamagate” conspirators.

Though I read my CFN, and it sure sounds like they’re getting close, and they’re gonna keep getting close, and keep getting close etc…

        • benr October 17, 2020 at 1:04 pm #

Sad past history is repeating and the crimes keep getting worse and more out in the open.
Reminds me of the early Obama days where everyone just knew GWBUSH was going to get his very own war crimes tribunal but wait nothing happened to him or Dr. Evil aka Dick Cheney.

There is no arguing that Obama and friends went after Trump and his campaign and have not stopped since.
There is no arguing that Hillary Clinton was also inolved in this up to her eyes and that she broke a number of laws covering it all up.
Sadly I have lost serious faith in Barr and have doubts anyone will be prosecuted even if Trump wins.
What administration ever goes after the previous one for crimes?

          • HapMan October 17, 2020 at 2:31 pm #

            benr,

Re “there is no arguing” – we are going on four years of Russian misinformation and right-wing media amplified conspiracy-mongering (of which this blog has sadly become a distribution channel). To say nothing of the Senate Republicans’ investigations, Barr’s internal reviews and Giuliani’s grotesque parody of an investigation.

The simple truth is that if there were evidence of “crimes” by those people, the DOJ would have it, and would have brought indictments, by now. The DOJ did in fact prosecute a low-level FBI lawyer for a single count, as you know. If there was anything else prosecutable around this, we would see indictments.

At the same time, there were a ton of suspicious interactions between the Trump campaign and the Russians, not least of which was Manafort, who is dirty as hell and now has the criminal record to show for it. Thank god the FBI investigated that shit.

Yet to be revealed: How Hunter Biden, John Kerry’s stepson Christopher, and ganster Whitey Bulger’s nephew wrested $1.5-3 billion out of Chicom PLA Intelligence. I would say Bulger was there to provide muscle, but how do you outmuscle the 7 million strong People’s Liberation Army? Where the hell do you think we are, South Boston?

    Brh

    • Kim October 16, 2020 at 8:51 pm #

The Bulgers operate in Massachusetts where many large advanced scientific research efforts and elite colleges are headquartered. Physics, chemistry, pharma, materials science.

They may have persuaded the Chinese that they could be helpful with Chinese spying efforts.

One successful tech theft would be cheap at $1.5 billion.

The Bulgers also have longstanding (decades long) corrupt relationships with the FBI, which would also be helpful in spying in Massachusetts.

      • SpeedyBB October 16, 2020 at 11:26 pm #

Kim, I find it most intriguing that while your postulation of a hypothetical treasonous enterprise by Hunter Biden and associates would have been unthinkable only a few decades ago, in the current “globalized” environment it seems eminently feasible.

When enough money is involved (not to mention “friendships” – if you are old enough you will remember how engaging, charming and ostensibly friendly were the Russians, Germans, Czechs and others you would meet on your travels to the east – characters who alas turned out to be KGB operatives. When they called in the chips all the friendly relations (including getting boinked) ended in tears.

Time and again in these comments it is suggested that a major perceptual shift and pillar of credibility was whomped hard on November 22, 1963. (Not to forget the immoral, illegal and frankly inexplicable aggression on Vietnam that followed.) Americans were so astonishingly credulous up to that moment (my own dear parents included, my father being career USAF). Succeeding generations grew up cynical and that hardened. My Texas-born mother never believed that Oswald was just the lone nut who got lucky.

Cynicism and disgust with the power structure would be an easy rationale for the sort of software espionage the Chinese would be plenty happy to facilitate (with the money we have shipped to them). I am elderly enough to remember when such a proposition was unthinkable.

The U.S.A. seems to be sliding down the drain like the Nationalist Chinese Army did in the late 1940s. Chancre Jack took the remaining gold reserves and beat it to Taiwan; where will our power brokers look to hide, once their criminality becomes common knowledge?

I found it hilarious that the Bush Crime Family would make a huge land purchase in Paraguay a few years back. Planning for a bolt hole? Pretty dodgy choice. Check out the Wikipedia entry on this sad republic drenched in blood.

“Welcome puto Gringos to Asunción. Now get off that 777 and turn in all your weapons. We also want to inspect your gold bullion in the hold and hold it for safekeeping. Do not start complaining about contracts and agreements and your powerful friends down here, gringo bastards. We know who you are and how you operate.

“Better get down on your knees and beg us to allow you to survive.”

        • Kim October 17, 2020 at 9:05 am #

Yes, it is remarkable that I could even suggest such a ludicrous scenario, but here we are.

As to Paraguay, it is always a favored place for people who need to slip quickly across a border, as it borders Argentina and Brazil to form the so-called Triple Frontier.

I think that was where Mengele supposedly holed up for decades until his death (while ocean bathing, I think).

So it may suit the Bushes very well.

Actually, it was a big misunderstanding. The BBC, this PM, reports that Hunter Biden was paid 10 million dollars by some billionaire Chinese gentleman for “introductions”. Now, Hunter knows a lot of people, as an example…he knows the Pakistani guy at the 7-11 that dispenses the Slurpees (He even gets refills for free), and is on intimate terms with various gentlemen that are into retail pharmaceuticals…. His contacts are worth the money…see? Quit being so goddamned judgmental.

Kind of hard to prove this one way or another.
Well known OBL had body doubles and far more then one!
How does one account for the fact the compound had no Dialysis equipment but OBLwas rumored to have had severe kidney disease?
How far away was the nearest center he could get treatment of this problem at a minimum of three times a week?
We could also discuss the rumor he had a kidney transplant.
Or the rumors his body was dismember and strewn across Afghanistan abound as much as disposed of at sea.
Only someone like you would give to squirts on this subject to begin with and most plausible explanation of OBL going dark was he was killed in a cave in Torabora.
      https://www.irishtimes.com/news/bin-laden-likely-killed-in-caves-1.343407

So we come back full circle to they probably killed a body double and not the genuine guy But hey Obama needed a win of some type.

    • abbybwood October 16, 2020 at 2:38 pm #

I think all the bin Laden stories are not even limited hangouts!

Pakistani newspapers announced Osama bin Laden’s death in December 2001 from chronic kidney disease and Marfan Syndrome:

      https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.progress-index.com/article/20110921/NEWS/309219925%3ftemplate=ampart

Bhutto, just prior to her assassination, told David Frost that bin Laden had died from chronic kidney failure after many years on dialysis.

The CIA and US military/intel has used so many versions of this man’s body since 9/11 it really is a laughable “Weekend at Bernie’s” hoax.

If I were a betting person, I would go all in on bin Laden dying in December 2001. Kinda hard to have successful long term dialysis treatments in the mountains of Kandahar.

Well, thank God for that. Imagine an entire administration using the intel agencies, and the media complicit, to foil their competitor’s ability to run for office and the doing the same to illegally remove him. Such a level of criminality and corruption should really give the entire American public serious pause. We must indeed consider how we allowed such a state of affairs – such a level of brash corruption – to occur.

I believe Malcolm X said that the media is the most powerful institution. None of this could have gone on without their being almost entirely under invisible control. We must repeal whatever that legislation was that Bill put in to allow them to monopolize.

  31. PeteAtomic October 16, 2020 at 2:14 pm #

We are coming up hard & quick now on Nov.3rd and its not looking good for the Golden Golem of not-so-greatness.

I have zero illusions or expectations from a Biden Presidency. I think it’ll be unrestrained, full spectrum globalism & Deep State for at least the next 4 years. By those two terms I mean: unilateral trade deals that favor multi-nationals & ensuing multi-national monopolism, a strong re-engagment of US neo-imperalism with both strong & hard power, wars big & small, more intel agency involvement both foreign & domestic like domestic spying programs, government subsidy of businesses, generalized increase of government spending, a generalized decrease of personal freedom & privacy in the US, amongst many other things. Essentially, there will be a strong institutional desire to return to the corporatist, neo-imperialist method of running the country pre-Trump. A return to a type of neo-fascism, basically.

I’m bemused by the anti-Trumpers. I hope many of them vote 3rd party, and not democrat. Seriously. Blindly cheerleading for the people who are the CIA & NSA standard bearers, and the bomb makers– simply because you loathe an individual– is really like cutting your nose off, in spite of your face. It’s willfully stupid. And it certainly is not “resistance” LOL!! whatever the fuck that means.

I’ve come to understand that the “resistance” to Trump is in reality the CIA & the intel agencies. The Pentagon. The permanent bureaucracy. People like that. It’s not a group of hipsters who don’t like pussy grabbing. Although that’s their advertisement.

I wouldn’t worry too much about the far Left, either. They are anathema to the democrat party. The democrats are the party of corporate America, even more so after Trump’s remaking the GOP into a populist party. There is much more potential for progressivism in the new GOP then anything found in the neo-fascist, neo-liberal democrat party.

After 47+ years of being in government, you actually think Biden is gonna do something “for the people” ?? that’s laughable. Look how the man lives. He is just as wealthy as Trump is, and he got it all from government largesse & corruption.

Biden is simply a mask. A mannequin. A puppet. A tool. A quisling.

“One important lesson for the nation might come out of this: that lawyers and lawfare do not amount to a supernatural protection force. The truth has a mighty power of its own and there are moments in history when it manages to overcome organized evil.”

I really hope there is enough anger, outrage and indignation left in the American people after so many months of the regressive left’s disgraceful behavior. Frankly, I am upset and disappointed that there isn’t an outpouring onto the streets and a determined backlash against the regressive left’s unabated lunacy.

We’ve seen violent mobs attacking decent citizens who are then persecuted for daring to defend themselves and then abused by a media which seems to have become hostile to the American nation as a whole. We’ve seen institutions like the CDC and NIH having become corrupt and untrustworthy as they promote an expensive yet relatively ineffective drug like Remdesivir while totally ignoring the very positive data emerging for HydroxyChloroquine, Ivermectin, Zinc, Vit D. We’ve seen the regressive left dishonor and smear the memory of America’s heroes as they pull down statues. We’ve seen national pastimes of every patriot, such as the NBA and NFL, become perverted by the activists’ nonsensical message about “black lives matter” and about compensation for slavery. Meanwhile, no one bats a lash about actual real-life slavery and genocide in Xinjiang and Tibet, China, and about the fact that the NBA has business ties to the mass murderers. We’ve seen the fake-news network going into overdrive, pushing propaganda, trying to get people to deny the evidence of their own eyes and ears. We’ve seen social media aggressively de-platform all free-thinking and independent voices and vigorously suppress anything that might reflect poorly on the Democrats and the far-left.

WHY THE HELL AREN’T PEOPLE PREPARING FOR CIVIL WAR? Where are the militia groups, training camps and drills? Where are all the men? Where is the mythical “right wing”? Who is defending the memory and legacy of America’s founding fathers? Why aren’t these leftist loonies being mobbed, dragged out their homes and burned for daring to dishonor the ONLY culture which even tolerates the like of them? Why isn’t someone putting them in their rightful place? Is this what the culture has come to, where everyone goes about their business and is content that the judicial system, now slowly slipping into the grip of the regressive left, will do its work of punishing the true enemies of society?

For God’s sake, people need to say enough is enough and take their country back!!

In the mean time, the moderates and the “right” needs to come together in solidarity, flex their muscles, posture and show the far-left, whose militant ranks comprises of disgruntled 20-somethings still living in momma’s basement, who will prevail in a civil war.

The far-left would not have become so brazen and disrespectful if it did not sense weakness, division and unwillingness to fight. Quite frankly, if a civil war were to erupt, I don’t even know who would be fighting who. If the military were to get involved, I’m wondering what idiot of a soldier would go into battle and lay his life on the line in the defense of a bunch of people who hate America, its history, its institutions and its values.

If a civil war did erupt, it would fizzle out very quickly. The reason? The problems over which people are fighting for are completely fabricated and fake, a result of growing alienation between flesh-and-blood people and the forming of abstract tribal groups online. The virtual will NOT translate into the real if matters were to escalate to war. After a few battles, after becoming weary with war, the leftist loonies will come back to their senses and decide that its not worth fighting a war over issues (such as “systemic racism”) which exist only in their hallucinations. They inwardly know that the game they’ve been playing is all one great big farce, and will therefore not defend their delusions with their lives. The point of this entire exercise in stupidity is to throw one great big royal tantrum, not really to go to war.

“Was it just me, or did you also notice that NBC’s Savannah Guthrie decided to play Special Prosecutor… Guthrie barked over the President with various renderings of the old shyster’s retort, but do you still beat your wife?”

Another chapter in the ongoing sparring between NBC and Trump. There’s some real animosity there on both sides. Most all major networks have been after Trump from the beginning, but with NBC somehow it’s personal. It’s fun to watch the elitists on both sides sniping at each other.

“What all that evidence speaks of is a Biden & Co. foreign influence-peddling scheme that amounts to selling out the USA while Ol’ White Joe was vice-president carrying out official tasks in the countries that paid his son enormous sums of money.”

Remember the old saying: “If you’re not cheating, you’re not trying”. The Houston Astros won a World Series by admittedly cheating. Cheating is deeply woven into the fabric of government and business, not to mention personal significant-others. If we didn’t love cheating so much we wouldn’t do it. You gotta believe in something, right?

      My good man BackRowHeckler

      =Reaches 25 ft=

This is utter total BS squared.
Regular flamethrower propels focused fire jet – by compressed air – UP TO 300 ft !!!

You may go to Google Images and look up M2A1-7 flamethrower used during the Vietnam War. It looks like scuba gear, only with 3 cylinders.

After Google Images go to Google Patents and look up different flamethrower patents. If you are even so slightly mechanically inclined you may convert scuba gear to flamethrover in about 1/2 hours.

      Bottom line:

After using flamethrower against BLM/ANTIFA terrosists ANTIFA YT’s will look like Brothers and ANTIFA Brothers will look exactly the same 🙂 🙂 🙂

      • BackRowHeckler October 16, 2020 at 7:29 pm #

John1945 this looks to be a civilian model for farm use. There is video on You Tube of people demonstrating it. I was just surprised something like this was available and you could order one parcel post. Dems in Congress must not be aware of these flamethrowers for them still to be legal.

Come to think of it this Pulsefire LRT might be a handy tool in the event BLM/Antifa mobs are stopping cars and pulling people out of them, beating them bloody. (Like we saw last summer) It looks portable and easily deployed. What a shock! They thought you were an easy mark! Now they’re eating fire!

I guess they can spot flamethrower users from the satellite. In the 60’s satellites could read license plates,I had no idea how good those satellites became in the past 60 years.

Fire Information for Resource Management System (FIRMS)

          https://earthdata.nasa.gov/earth-observation-data/near-real-time/firms

If you have full acces to FIRMS you can even zoom in on those red spots and see those fiery shows in minute details.

So instead building flamethrower you better read up on Google Patents about latest firearm silencers combo’s,meaning silencers combined with muzzle brakes.Swiss firm Cie is 20 year ahead of the rest of them.

By “presidential candidates” they mean Biden. They will happily host anything which makes Trump look bad.

The entire Deep State and their factotums need to be Nuremburged, and right soon – publicly present the evidence via tribunal and be done with it.

If President Trump is not reelected, it will of course never happen any time soon. If reelected, I give the prospect a fifty-fifty chance at best.

Should President Trump succeeds in this, he can righty paraphrase Benjamin Franklin: “I’ve restored back to you a republic…if you can keep it.”

    • Kim October 16, 2020 at 9:00 pm #

      Nuremburged?

It would be better to have honest trials and accountings, applying recognized standards of evidence.

      • KappaJoe October 18, 2020 at 7:42 pm #

Yes, of course it would. Unfortunately, due to the ineffectiveness of the courts in certain jurisdictions ignoring or favoring the well-connected and politically protected, a higher system of justice is required. I’m sure the sycophantic media would vociferously take issue, but the Deep State has long been steering towards this type of resolution to their many crimes.

“The truth has a mighty power of its own and there are moments in history when it manages to overcome organized evil”.

Was it the power of truth that overcame, or was it the truth of power?

One truth is that Trump chose the wrong strategy on the virus, letting his ego lead us through the Valley of Death. He has created a huge, opposing army of TWATS, with growing numbers of O’TWATs (old Trump Weary and Tired). It may cost him Florida. People want to live and be healthy.

Speaking of moments in history, this may be one where a brazen, bullheaded ego brings about what Obama wanted all along, ‘a radically transformed America’, possibly led by Kamala Harris and the Squad. The ‘truth’ of Trump is that at the end he couldn’t help but miscalculate, given his personality and predilection for polarization.

It’ll be a shame to see him lose to Obama’s bootlicker. Balack and Michelle will love it, and they will very much enjoy overseeing the expansion of critical race theory courses and the Black Live Maggots party.

I fear that what we will need here is the truth of power, not the power of truth. The naked truth of power that we will be unable to wield, moralizing, running meekly from its musculature, milquetoasts murdered by the ‘truth’ of lies.

    • Billy Hill October 16, 2020 at 7:11 pm #

For the life of me I cannot figure the right strategy on the virus.
      What is it?

      • tucsonspur October 16, 2020 at 7:45 pm #

        Oh please stop.

Social distance, wear a mask. Trump should have at least highly recommended the mask in order to mitigate, slow down, impede the spread. Wore one himself. Look at what’s happening now right before the election. Look at Wisconsin, e.g. Think Trump will win it this time?

Many people are viewing the super spreader rallies as dangerously reckless. Trump is lucky that Melania, Christy, Lee, Tillis, McEnany, etc. are still alive and not on ventilators.

The bashibazouk’s boorish bravado is giving us Biden.

        • Billy Hill October 16, 2020 at 8:29 pm #

          It aint going away.

It has nothing to do with Trump, the election, or whatever you or anyone thinks.

We’ve been had by the various state interests in bioweapons research. I include the US, China, Canada, France, to name the front runners in this latest fiasco and you can I’m sure bring in Russia, the UK, and on and on. They all do it. It was bound to happen per Murphy’s Law. Same as a nuclear exchange is bound to happen sooner or later because “technology” has reduced the human input.

Where’s the mutation away from extreme transmissibility?

          Get used to that mask.

          • tucsonspur October 16, 2020 at 9:08 pm #

Yes, it’s not going away any time soon, but to say that it has nothing to do with Trump or the election is not right. I make the case that it is exactly Trump’s mishandling of the virus that will be the cause of his losing, if it does turn out that way.

            I love the mask!

          • abbybwood October 18, 2020 at 2:25 am #

My mask is a prop in my car used to enter or exit a restaurant, to shop at Ralph’s or CVS or Home Depot. That’s it.

The rest of the time I walk about freely and no one has ever ordered me to mask up outside those areas.

I need to breathe fresh air when outside away from people and I will continue to do so.

      • JohnAZ October 16, 2020 at 8:01 pm #

Let me propose a straw man.

The virus attack is two staged. The first droplets. Droplets contains lots of virus. The more virus ingested the more chance of becoming symptomatic and serious. Droplets are blocked by masks and social distancing puts one out of range. Mitigation by the CDC is aimed at droplet control. Th more people get close together and do not wear masks, ie opening up, the faster the surges start back up. This is a fact this year, opening up has given us surges.

However, this is only part of the problem. The political side of this is coming fro the other transmission source, aerosols. Aerosol transmission is the source that the politicians do not want to recognize, Why? Because there are no solutions for it. Masks do not work, social distancing does not work.

Think of a room with ten people in it, smoking cigarettes. After a while the room is smoky. Substitute now people with viruses on board instead of smokers. Bodies expel viruses with every exit source they can, most of which are not even discussed by the politicians. Now, if one person smokes in a room, eventually the smoke will invade every corner of the room. Same with viruses riding on small particulates or smaller water droplets. So with airborne transmission, three factors are at play. One, the number of infected folks in the room. Two, the amount of time the virus is allowed to concentrate in the room and third, the effectiveness of the ventilation of air in the room in dispelling the concentration build up.

All rate histories show that when things open up, people congregate and do not follow mitigation guidelines. Hence, surges occur. The second part of this though is evident when the case rate never returns to zero, but just levels off. All states report this phenomenon. Arizona steady rate is about 500, California 2500 a day. I propose transmission source two is the cause of this. Only a vaccine leading us to herd immunity is going to fix number two.

BTW, there is a good possibility per the straw man, that the difference between the virulence of Covid versus the flu is source two, it’s ability to transmit airborne.

        • JohnAZ October 16, 2020 at 8:06 pm #

To all the anti-maskers, you are right in that masks do not block the ingress of airborne particles, social distancing does not work. However, the heavier dose presented by larger droplets that are ingested gives more serious results. Masks and distancing mitigates transmission source number one, and right now anything helps. That is why the curve flattens but does not go to zero.

          • JohnAZ October 16, 2020 at 8:09 pm #

No matter what either Trump or Biden does, it will not stop number two. Only herd immunity will stop this spread, ie vaccines or exposure of 85% of the population. The CDC has now acknowledges both transmission sources.

          • tucsonspur October 16, 2020 at 8:24 pm #

Right John, right now anything helps. Helps hospitals and helps keep people from dying because of the deadly droplet.

            John,

What are your sources for the idea we need 85% ? You really love only the worst news!
I have seen from several different sources in several countries that as little as 20% is sufficient, possibly because cross-resistance to other corona viruses is very common in the population. Sweden has probably achieved herd immunity.

Best way to protect the vulnerable is to let the invulnerable go about their lives and build herd immunity. Hiding only prolongs the misery.

By the way, with my age, cancer and high blood pressure using ace inhibitor meds, I am high risk. But I had the chance, perhaps my last one, to have my two daughters and 3 grandchildren under one roof. But one daughter and 2 kids were in the middle of a cold. You know, coughing, throat, lethargy, maybe a fever in one kid. Guess what?

I WANT TO SEE MY GRANDCHILDREN!

John, I know you were or are in the health field. Do you know anyone who has died in the PANDEMIC? As far as pandemics go this one seems pretty lame. 215,000 dead in 8 months? 7700 people die a day in the US in a good year. I know personally about a dozen people who have contracted the SICKNESS. All are back to work and 100%. My grandaughter (6 YO) is in school and has to wear a mask all day. She is scared to death of the “SICKNESS”. What effect will this COVID bullshit have on her in the long run?

          • JohnAZ October 17, 2020 at 11:57 am #

The problem of the pandemic is what will happen if we let it free wheel. All your declaration are real. It is because most people are protecting themselves and others with mitigation measures that is seems things are so in control.

It is a super flu if it stays as it is. Hopefully.

As a nurse, I had to work with all sorts of isolation patients and it was a pain to deal with PPE, masks etc. The worst were the tuberculosis folks. Why?

They were airborne. Can you understand why the hospitals fear the Covid?

        • sophia October 17, 2020 at 10:39 am #

          John,

So having little kids sit all day with masks on in a room means that the airborne viruses are getting around. I think, as you know, that masks are a filthy habit that likely makes things worse because of preventing the body from exhaling properly. But if masks are of any use at all it would be in brief situations such as paying a cashier or sitting on a bus or subway.

And when are you going to stop believing all the inaccurate crap about cases that the MSM puts out?

          • JohnAZ October 17, 2020 at 11:46 am #

The trends are there, coming from the same sources and I do believe the trends, as you should. Your lack of respect for the trend data allows you to spout off the BS you keep coming up with.

Kids in school are not a danger to themselves as their thymus glands are still pumping out lots of antibodies to control the crud. But they are extreme threats to society when they go home, asymptomatic, and become superspreaders. The steady state rates and the current surge increases are the result.

My daughter is a fourth grade teacher and wears a face shield. When she started, she was amazed at how many times she had to clean the inside of the shield from all the “spit” she was putting out. Those droplets did not make it to someone else if she had been infectious. And in the right environments, droplets kill.

People with attitudes like yours are why we cannot put an effective lid on the crud.

          • sophia October 17, 2020 at 9:50 pm #

I’m sorry you think that John. Eventually, I will be proved right. I of course have no idea what sources you read for these trends, but infection rates for covid are rather complex and involve much more than masking or not. According to what I have read, there does not seem to be much relation. When I say to stop believing the MSM, I am referring to the false second wave by using massive testing. That is a fraud.

        Tuscon,

You are just plain silly. Trump’s original intent, like Boris, was not to lock down, and we would have been in such better shape, like Sweden, Japan and others.

We locked down and social distanced at the same rate as almost all other countries, except ours has states rights and had more individuality. But even there, other countries like Australia have differing intensities of lockdown/police state where the infection rates differ.

Social distancing and all the advice – it does not come from the president particularly, and we did all that in lockstep with all the other countries.
Masks – gee why is it you Trump haters never blame Fauci who told us the truth in April – that they do little to prevent infection but can make matters worse? Was Trump supposed to go against Fauci?

After the epidemic was over, all countries implemented mandatory masks in July. We were not different.

Why do you Trump haters impute such magical powers to this man?

Who is responsible for the death in all the other countries which did the same things at the same time?

Oh, and with regard to Obama’s radically transformed America, etc.,
the Jimmy Dore segment linked way above is instructive.

Obama is about as mainstream as they come.

      The image is pure malarkey.

      • Kim October 16, 2020 at 9:28 pm #

The rule changes to Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing (AFFH) were far from mainstream and were designed – as Antifa and BLM now chant – Abolish the Suburbs!

        https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/biden-and-dems-are-set-to-abolish-the-suburbs/

If you want your pleasant town to become a new Soweto and to be taxed in suburbia to fund a diaspora/plague of violent, criminal and irresponsible darkies, then AFFH is for you.

So radical are both the aims and the means of AFFH that it is not too hard to see it as an evolution of the ninth goal of The Communist Manifesto, which called for the

“gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country”

        https://laissez-fairerepublic.com/TenPlanks.html

Note the use of the word “abolition”. Just a coincidence, do you suppose?

The whole election is so far beyond the act of voting that the side swipe we are about to get hit with may compel the left to conjure some sense, but I doubt it. I remember volunteering for phone lines weeks before an election but now there is silence, moderated by hyper social network addicted ass wipes. There goes the farm has been said before, but this time it may turn out to be here it comes, as the greed structures dissolve.

    Just reading the latest.

I am amazed at the difference between the two sides.

Conservatives afraid of losing the goodness of the USA discussing rationally the ramifications of losing the election.

And the the Lefties stepping in with their inane banter, BS and name calling. They still do not have a clue what is needed or what to do.

Name the issue, they do not have a clue what to do. Of course, under liberal control, the name of the game is to do absolutely nothing except work on getting re-elected. So all there is to do is singularly attack one person with very repetitious lies and falsehoods. Nov. 3 will tell us if they are successful.

    Regarding co-morbidities and COVID:

Everyone has some body part that doesn’t work perfectly or has some functional weakness. That’s why we don’t live forever. Many of these imperfections are at a very subclinical level, so a person can live a full lifespan without any symptoms. But eventually that imperfection gets you.

COVID-19 is very good at attacking weaknesses and exacerbating them. In effect, everyone has co-morbidities. The average person has a healthy enough immune system such that the virus doesn’t get enough of a foothold to affect the inherent weakness. That’s why many victims only just don’t feel well as their symptom, or are asymptomatic.

Others, however, have obvious malfunctions. These people are the ones who get permanent organ damage or die. They suffer from diabetes or asthma or some such. Old persons especially have more malfunctions and/or obvious co-morbidities, so they die at a higher rate than apparently more healthy, younger people.

Just because you aren’t sickly or old, you still have major susceptibility to the virus. All the figures aren’t in yet because this disease has only affected humans for a year or so. People now 21 or 22, like college students may be asymtomatic or only get the sniffles, but remember, symptoms aren’t the disease itself. The virus may do a lot of subclinical damage to vital functions that aren’t yet detectable. Years later, a 55 year old man dies of kidney disease, never realizing his kidneys sustained subclinical damage 30 years earlier.

My point is that it is unwise, even foolhardy to minimize concern over catching Covid. As a matter of fact, other illnesses and infections may also affect the human body subclinically and cause an earlier death later in life; thus it is important to try to avoid close contact with sick people as much as possible.

      BTB

      Good report.

I agree with you that each insult we receive from a bacteria or virus accumulates and affects late life outlooks. The human race needs to get ahold of viruses as they are getting better and better at killing us.

How can they get better and better, learn how to invade us better? Good question that unfortunately has not been answered yet.

    • toktomi October 17, 2020 at 12:31 am #

      @beantownbill

you: “…foolhardy to minimize concern over catching…”

I would add, it is, in my mind, as foolhardy as believing that there exists any opportunity to affect the transmission of this thing whatsoever. For the krill, the baleen are a crap-shoot.

The 85% number is from the CDC and is based on the Ro number, ie the infectivity of the organism.

If we are worried different strains causing ineffectiveness of vaccines, I would say that your 20% number is very low.

With the high infection Ro of Covid, if we just let ‘er rip the pandemic would make NY and NJ in March look like a cake walk. It is more than just protecting the vulnerable, it is protecting everyone from a runaway epidemic overwhelming our health care system’s capability to care for the results.

Do not agree? I will let the fiasco in Europe speak for itself as they are shutting down everything as the virus is tearing through a population moving indoors. Read my 2nd transmission source again and realize that if true, mitigation will not work as winter comes on. A reaction by Fauci, who I believe knows all about number 2, wants to cancel Thanksgiving. Remember that the virus may surge as indoor celebrations skyrocket during the holidays.

CDC said this morning, again, that airborne transmission happens and that 90% of the US population that could get the disease haven’t gotten it yet. I will respect the mitigation rules as I am one of those vulnerable folks. The idea that anyone would take a political stand to avoid wearing a mask and goes around spitting on everyone is repugnant. Spitting as in talking, singing, breathing, coughing, sneezing making droplets that are big infection source. Airborne is much scarier as we do not even know the potential sources of viruses, breathing, sweat, stool, urine, anything exiting a virus laden body.

Believe what you will, I pray that you all do not catch this crud from errant behavior and even more so hope that you do not infect anyone else.

This is serious fear porn and I don’t think it is true. This is not a magical virus, despite coming from a lab. But flu can also leave a few people with lasting issues. But not 21-year olds.

And, if your thoughts here are true, I guess then normal human life needs to come to an end. What choice do we have? We might get sick and die at some point!

Everything that makes like worth living, fun, and keeps despair and depression at bay – all must go. Forever. We might get a cold or a flu, and then 50 years later we can assume that when our health fails, it could have been “organ damage.”

I’m pretty sure you have to be severely ill to suffer organ damage, and by the way, organs do repair a little damage! What an amazing self-healing mechanism is the human body.

Yep. If the politics of this had been left out, we would have mitigated, respected personal space requirements and all gone back to work. In both surges, number three occurring right now, it was people disrespecting personal space that caused the surge.

Is it possible to get folks to do what is necessary to offset surges, or will lockdowns have to be done. They are currently locking down Europe.

Fine Beantown, but maybe go back and read what you wrote.

I don’t know anyone who has had trouble with covid. My daughter’s family had it but they’re fine. But I do know a few people who are seriously struggling, and for a couple of years, and yes they have been to doctors ad take many treatments, for Lyme disease so it seems obvious to me that we have to ban all outside activity for all people in this country. No playing in the back yard, no walks on nature trails, no camping, and we ourselves, who live on 18 acres, need to restrict ourselves entirely from being on most of it.

One of the biggest factors other than very old age is obesity. People who are obese tend to get much sicker at any age than others unless you have kidney disease or heart disease. I am 71 and have 25% lung capacity and asthma. The first time I got it was in FEB and didn’t realize it was covid until about a week later when the pandemic response team was in front of my building. I had all the symptoms but I was barely sick. I had very mild symptoms. I am just getting over it for the second time because I have so much trouble wearing a mask that I keep having to pull it off. The second time I got it was milder than the first time. My doctor has had me on Vitamin D and aspirin for a few years but both doctors stressed both Vitamin D and especially aspirin for Covid because this is not a lung disease it is a vascular disease. We don’t know whether this has long term effects. Herpes and Aids stay in your body. Everyone should be taking vitamin D and aspirin. People who are obese should be very careful about wearing masks and social distancing. Look what happened in the rose garden. Lots of people tested positive but the only two that had to go to the hospital were Trump and Cristy. both obese. And because of who they are they got the best medical care available.

Well, they are sure pulling out all the stops to elect Biden. I just heard from a gal I am forced to associate with on a polite level, saying she’d gotten three mail-in ballots and was going to exercise them all: one for a relative who is living abroad and has already mailed in his absentee ballot, one for a dependent family member who has been diagnosed with the faculties of 4-year-old, and one for herself. She says, “Each vote counts,” and is urging me to do the same if possible, the assumption being that I will vote politically correctly. I’m not sure I was able to conceal the steam coming out of my ears. She may suspect me of *gasp* supporting the wrong guy! She says you can call in and find out if someone you know has voted, but you can’t learn which candidate he voted for. I take it she tried that.

    Shredni,

Barrett talked about systemic racism and how she and her daughter cried over the death of George Floyd.

As they cried, Amy Barrett explained to her children that some day, they or their children just might get the same kind of racist treatment from the same kind of racist police.
Too many of these damn White Women betraying our people.

    Frosty Wooldridge
Main Stream Media Suppresses the Population Topic in America

what we’re up against boggles my mind.
Two weeks ago, I sent a personal letter to 40 directors, producers, anchors and reporters of Channel 7 News about Denver, Colorado’s endless growth, carrying capacity and water shortages.

I noted that two separate construction programs were adding over 2,000 apartments to Denver’s already insane Brown Cloud Air Pollution and gridlocked traffic.

Quality of life degrades with every new construction site. Colorado is projected to add 5 million people within 30 years.

We don’t have the water or road system in the mountains to carry that horrific load.
No one wants to deal with the fact that ‘exponential growth’ cannot be sustained and it always leads to collapse.

Look at California! I asked them to produce a series on what will happen to Denver with the projected 2 million more people, cars and pollution. I gave them names of top specialists.

I sent a copy of my book to each of them: America On The Brink: The Next 100 Million Americans. How many of them replied to my query? Answer: ZERO.

There is a concerted effort by all MSM to completely suppress any mention of human overpopulation across America.

    • beantownbill. October 17, 2020 at 1:16 pm #

Yeah, so what else is new?

I remember almost 50 years ago driving to the west coast. I can’t remember the route, maybe I 70? Anyway, driving along, I crested a hill, and when I looked straight ahead, down in a valley was the village of Boulder. I couldn’t believe how beautiful it was from my viewpoint, nestled among the trees, with the backdrop of the Rockies seemingly on top of it. Only Estes Park, which I later visited, could compare. I never forgot that moment.

49+ years Later, I shudder to think what this all looks like now. I hear that vast amounts of Colorado now suck. It will get even worse as the population increases. Colorado doesn’t have good soil, so I’ve read. Another million people? Rename the state, Shitholado. What a shame.

Just for you, Malthuss: People in Massachusetts loved San Francisco, but those I knew said don’t bother with L.A., I wouldn’t like it. Well, contrary me had to see for myself. I really liked it, to my surprise, and I’ve been there numerous times since. Now, from everything I’ve been reading, it appears LA is down the tubes as well. Several times over the years I seriously considered moving to California. Circumstances never quite worked out for me to be able to, so here I am in Massachusetts. I still have an old days California state of mind, though.

      • stelmosfire October 17, 2020 at 1:37 pm #

Bill, I also liked California back in the 70’s. From the beach to the mountains in the same day. Beautiful. Problem is the southern half is a desert with no practical carrying capacity. Without the import of all it’s water the place is not habitable. Northern California is still nice and plenty of water. Eastern MA. would not carry it’s population without our water from the hills of western MA. Your welcome, :0)

        • beantownbill. October 17, 2020 at 2:29 pm #

          Stelmos,

I can go to the beach (shore) in the morning, and get to the White Mountains in the afternoon by getting on route 93.

You’re right about the water. We had to construct the Quabbin Reservoir and flood a few towns so Bostonians could do their laundry at home, tend to their lawns and drink Sam Adams beer.

Our whole area was covered by glaciers not that many thousands of years ago. The land is still rising/recoiling from the loss of the weight of the melted glaciers that pressed down on the land. We have underground reservoirs/streams just under us left over from the glaciers. We do have wells on our land, but they had to drill down 700 feet to access the water. Pretty expensive. It’s probably like this throughout Greater Boston, so rather than wells, the authorities decided to take and flood land in western Massachusetts.

I don’t know how deep some of the underground streams are, but using our land, 700 feet, consider that the glaciers here were 2 miles thick or 10,000 feet, so the land has recoiled less than one tenth of the thickness of the ice, so far.

      • SoftStarLight October 17, 2020 at 2:02 pm #

“Yeah, so what else is new?”

Most of US population growth is because of immigration now. Is that really your reaction Bill to knowing that the environment is being destroyed? It’s curious because that sort of apathy is what allows evil a place to dwell and grow stronger. And its very apparent everywhere now apparently. I don’t think you really agree with that.

        • beantownbill. October 17, 2020 at 2:40 pm #

You are making assumptions on my attitude. Where did I ever indicate I was just shrugging about what was going on? I thought it was obvious saying “so what else is new?” was sarcastic, especially after stating it was a shame what happened to Colorado. You are correct about immigration, but to be accurate, consider that the born-American population grows too and contributes to overpopulation.

          • SoftStarLight October 17, 2020 at 9:18 pm #

I guess so. It wasn’t immediately obvious that you were not shrugging it off but I’m glad to hear you think it is serious. Yes, that is correct that the native born American population is growing. But the point is that the primary growth of the population is because of immigration now. And this is what is really accelerating the continuing sprawl and the reason America is becoming a giant disgusting parking lot.

What exactly should be the American foreign policy toward Ukraine? The objective has been supporting its national aspirations and separating it from Russia while minimizing its immigration impact on the European community and maximizing its energy delivery to the West. It could be argued that this is akin to a foreign power supporting an independent Texas.

As a Southern WASP I have more connections to Ukraine than one might suppose. Since 2013 we have hosted 5 Ukrainian delegations at our home for 7 or 8 nights, dinners, and weekends as official State Dept hosts. We have been invited and attended the Ukrainian ex-pat community lectures, Christmas parties and festivals. Our guests have been from all over Ukraine from Lyviv to Donetsk but mainly Kyiv where our embassy is. Our guests have been from 26 years old to 40. All have been selected by our embassy for the trip to the USA and are of course supportive of our policy there. Many of them are lawyers with the Parliament or one of the political parties (or journalists). When I asked about Hunter Biden in 2015 my impression was that they considered it the price of doing business. They were quite used to corruption and were young and idealistic and hopeful that it could be eradicated but not surprised. None of the Ukrainian expats here in my hometown seemed to be aware of his service on the Board of Burisma.

Friends here that know about Ukraine are military contractors. Most regular people would have difficulty locating it on a map or knowing 1 fact about it. The US has spent at least $5 billion supporting a color revolution there and there are a lot of Ukrainians that would like greater independence from Russia.

I have disliked Biden since his plagiarism days when he ran for President the first time. It is interesting how often politicos accuse their opponents of exactly what they are doing. A kind of it takes one to know one rejoinder. I had concerns about Trump in May 2016 during the campaign and his dealing with Russian oligarchs and I thought he could be compromised by loans or blackmail. It seemed one more reason not to vote for him.

But if we look at it dispasssionately, why shouldn’t Ukraine have a nationalist movement? Normally we don’t support Nazi sympathizers but it’s just another opportunity to undermine Russia. I’m not a fan of Russian oligarchs, Ukrainian oligarchs, or our own meddling oligarchs like front man Biden. But that appears “the game” there.

    • JohnAZ October 17, 2020 at 5:35 pm #

Ukraine is a buffer state between Russia and NATO. No buffer country in history has been a peaceful place to be.

Fighting both the Nazis and the Soviet Union in WW2.

And now the current tug of war, making the country a profitable place for plunderers and profiteers.

Thanks for taking it easy on me. I am not a Trump hater, maybe you haven’t been paying enough attention to my posts over the years, not that they demand everyone’s attention.

I simply believe that Trump’s handling of the virus may very well cost him the election. I’m not talking about lockdowns. I’m talking about him strongly recommending wearing of the mask, and him being the best example of that. Plus social distancing, and doing this a few months ago.

It was the politically safe, common sense thing to do. You are not forcing other people to wear it, and you show a concern for people’s well being.

To think that not doing this simple thing may cost us the presidency and even the Senate could be one of the major miscalculations of our time. To think that Harris and Biden will lead us for the next eight years, well, maybe not Biden, and that the Democrats will lead us up until the collapse, when rebels and tyrants take over, is a thought out of the realm of nightmares.

However, I will force myself to vote for Trump.

Well, Tuscon, I still think your position is silly. You don’t realize that 70% of people do not like the mask mandate. It is wrong on every level – scientifically and legally. I would have lost much trust in him if he had acted the way you think.
Instead he has lead in a better fashion than following nonsense. He has held back the tide on mandatory vaccination, told us about therapeutics that work, and then used them himself.

Yesterday we tied a record. Triple digit temperature. 101, I believe.
We already broke the record of 99 days with temperatures in the triple digits. We’re around 110 days now.

Do you think its a natural climatic fluctuation tucson or do you believe its something else? Is this because of La Nina?

      • tucsonspur October 18, 2020 at 3:51 am #

Things seem to be really changing, whatever the cause. I believe La Nina is supposed to make it drier in these parts, and we just had our second driest monsoon season on record.

There are so many parameters affecting the climate, it is such a complicated topic that to comment on it meaningfully and not just opinionate, you have to study it in depth. I haven’t.

But I do know that things like sunspots can be involved, the Milankovitch cycle, the Southern Oscillation, etc. What about the impact of volcanos, temperature layers in the ocean, Northern and Southern ice?

And of course the influence of humans. Isn’t climate just weather averaged over long time spans? If it were only that simple.

Nice and cool here in NW Ct, sunny days, leaves turning color on schedule. Picking up Maple and Oak leaves on this property is time consuming and I won’t finish up until around Dec. 1, or until the first snow. We had a bit of a drought going — nothing serious — but a few periods of steady rain seems to have remedied that. The first overnight frost was a few weeks early this year, Sept. 25 instead of the customary Oct. 10.

It was a lovely summer in New England, which sometimes signals a brutal winter is in the offing. Started the process of preparing for it and buttoning this place up for what might be coming.

I have very little doubt that if the positions were reversed, Mr. Trump would most certainly be using all his clout and connections to squash the dissemination of said evidence against Biden, his son, and his family.

Truth be told, so would the vast majority of Americans.

And that is exactly why the system of “justice” has imploded.

This one fact marks the irreversible decline and fall of every institution and civilization that has existed throughout recorded human history.

Would Twitter and Facebook, Gogle and Youtube be doing their best to help Trump quash the truth? No.

So why are Big Tech helping to cover for Biden and the Dems?

Because Biden and the Dems are willing to help Big Tech create the tyranny of a world in which just one, single, globally coordinated opinion may be expressed.

I’m actually horrified by the weird directions and dynamics of commentators on this crazy Republican vs Democrat situation – given that while not exactly the opposite sides of the same coin – at least the Demo’s give some form of lip service for rolling back the damage that the Trump Administration has done to environmental issues and the license the Trump administration has given to folks like Bolsonaro.

Sadly most commentators are urban – and are afflicted by the “shifting baselines” mindset – “Hey, when I look out of my office window – it looks the same as yesterday – so hey, buddy, what’s your problem?” If Trump gets re-elected – it will be a disaster for the planetary environment “hey – do we care? Elon has promised Mars” – suicide.

I’m seeing otherwise reasonably rational commentators as Kunstler – heading rapidly for the “Dark Side” – and it’s horrifying. And his commentators have really shifted to the extreme right.

Look – NOBODY in US politics has a clean slate – sadly you can’t do politics there without some shady shit – it seems, (maybe Bob Brown (Australian Greens) would be one of the few – and perhaps Jacina Ardern (New Zealand) too.

The world really exists outside Washington (DC), New York, Atlanta, and Houston. (Hard to believe!).

If the Republicans get re-elected – then that will really empower the ultra right elsewhere – and our planet’s future as a liveable planet for us is in serious jeopardy.

    Think about it. PLEASE

    • SoftStarLight October 18, 2020 at 3:50 am #

An interesting exhortation since Wall Street and the Big Banks, institutions that fully facilitate global growth and environmenal wreckage, are ardently embraced by the global Left and are thus supporting the Democrats. The Chamber of Commerce is also supporting the Democrats. Perhaps that is not as easy to discern from Australia? Not to mention that the world’s biggest polluter nations are Asian. And btw, those nations are increasing their consumption of fossil fuels and natural resources vociferously. So why does the salvation of the planet then come down to a necessity to defeat the alleged far right in America? It doesn’t! It’s a deception. The global Left serves the mega corporations, mega banks and so on and those institutions are rabidly Leftist themselves. They destroy and pillage the Earth. And they wish to further devastate the environment by erasing borders and flooding nations with lower population densities with overwhelming migrant tsunamis. Perhaps then it is you who is in outer darkness. Perhaps you are the extremist. The globalist progressive Left is the establishment and has been for decades and in reality centuries. After all, wasn’t the natural world altered and devastated in the name of PROGRESS?

Well said. Remember Michael Moore’s movie, “Planet of the Humans”. Telling the truth about the phony Left got him ostracized.

Jacina (sic) Jacinda Ardern has a clean slate?

Are you joking? Adern is an obvious, staring-you-in-the-face globalist and five-eyes agent.

What is her background? Has she ever had a job in the real world? No. She is a professional politician and globalist agent. What qualifications does she have to lead a nation?

Ardern began her career working as a researcher in the office of Prime Minister Helen Clark. She later worked in London, within the Cabinet Office, and was elected president of the International Union of Socialist Youth.

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacinda_Ardern

That’s it. She is an obedient office drone and orders-following political operative.

And what is “the International Union of Socialist Youth (IUSY)?

“The International Union of Socialist Youth (IUSY) is an international organization, founded in 1907…It was formed as the youth wing of the Second International under the name Socialist Youth International. IUSY gained status as an international youth NGO with UN ECOSOC consultative status in 1993.”

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Union_of_Socialist_Youth

Yes, the IUSY is today, and has been for as long as Jacinda has been connected with it, a UN-connected NGO! There is nothing more corrupt in the entire world than such bodies!

And as for “the youth wing of the Second International” what is The Second International? The Second International was an organ of the international movement for global communism. That is why it is an “international”. She is a dyed-in-the-wool globalist.

The successor to the Second International was

“the Third International organised in 1919 by revolutionary socialists after the October Revolution and the creation of the Soviet Union. It was officially called the Communist International (Comintern) and lasted until 1943 when it was dissolved by then Soviet leader Joseph Stalin.”

While the Comintern was dissolved by Stalin, its many subversive duties around the world were taken over by the organs of state security such as the NKVD and the KGB, who had a long record of putting their puppets in place in Western democracies.

Adern is, in other words, a globalist (banking and security services) catspaw.

Her orders are to continue the tasks of

      – destroying family life in the west,

      – swamping white countries with browns so as to insttitutionalize the divisive politics of multiculturalism,

      – subvert national sovereignty and make New Zealand obedient to the dictates of undemocratic and globalist organizations such as the UN and WHO

      – train the general populace in political docility and social obedience and conformity (the rona fraud), and

      – disarm the populace (the New Zealand mosque shooting false flag and the subsequent tyrannical suppression of free speech examinations of the matter).

Jacinda Ahern is certainly not clean. She is a long time political pig and her snout and hoofs are as deep in the evils of globalist politics as are those of Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, and the rest of the Deep State farm animals.

      @ Hugh Spenser

If you have an argument to make, just make it.

Instead, here you had our attention for 200 words and did nothing but shiver and gasp with outrage and say “I can’t even…”

What is the point of that?

And don’t you find it – I guess you are a man – kind of demeaning that you argue like a woman? (All “how dare you” and “if you don’t agree I’ll get the hump”.)

Says the ‘man’ (?) who argues one thing and then its complete opposite to beantownbill like a paid whore and doesn’t feel at all demeaned by it. Presumably used to the feeling by now.

On an unrelated topic. I see, GA, that the UK government is using the Covid “Crisis” to issue regulations on who is permitted to have sex with whom. I can see why so many Scots want to secede. But then again you’re probably one who welcomes these regulations, am I wrong?

          https://www.zerohedge.com/medical/uk-bans-sex-risk-couples

UK Bans Sex For At-Risk Couples

Coronavirus cases are surging across Europe and the UK, which forced the government this week to roll out a new “three-tier” lockdown system that banned casual sex with people from different households, according to the Evening Standard.

The new measure states anyone from a tier two (high risk) or tier three (very high risk) virus-infested area is not permitted by the government to spend the night at each other’s private residence. They are also not authorized to mix with other households indoors, whether a private home or public venue, unless they are in that person’s “social bubble.”

As early as May, we described how “social bubbles” were coming and will likely be enforced in Europe. Now the UK is unleashing network bubbles that allow other households to mingle.

A spokesperson from Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s office told reporters Friday:

It appears a whole lot more people are going to live without sex as both London and Essex are expected to become Tier 2 regions at midnight Friday.

To sum up, sex in a private home, if individuals are in Tier 2 & 3 regions is now illegal under Johnson’s new three-tier system to mitigate the virus spreading.

It would be funny, if it weren’t so real. I have a crazy conspiracy theory that certain entities are using the “covid crisis” as an experiment to see how far they can push us. What measures will people accept, what will they violently resist?

To me it seems obvious that an oppressive control system is emerging on planet earth. We are being reduced to greater poverty thru an engineered financial collapse. Policies to enslave mind and body continue. They always have a good excuse, don’t they? Killer rogue virus, carbon emissions, cow farts.

“We must take away your freedoms to save your lives!”

What kind of idiots fall for such blatant lies?

          • GreenAlba October 18, 2020 at 11:08 am #

            OK, benr first …

benr, you probably don’t remember just how many times, before and after the Brexit vote, I told people on here that the Brexit leaders, and Boris Johnson in particular, were not anti-globalists. Johnson once referred to a demographic of his fellow citizens as ‘joyless, whining anti-globalists’ (I paraphrase from memory)

They were and are just a different kind of globalist – the low-reg., Singapore-on-Thames kind that is intent on increasing profits at the expense of people and their environment.

You didn’t listen – what can I say? Now we have a bunch of incompetent muppets, starting with BoJo himself, who are in their ministerial positions not because of any semblance of real or likely competence – at anything – but because they were Brexit lickspittles.

As a result of the ongoing shambles in England, support for Scottish independence has soared to 60%. This does not please me, because I want to remain a citizen of the whole country of which I’ve always been a part. But there we are – I was going to say Boris Johnson will likely preside over the breakup of the UK, except that even his own backbenchers are waking up to the idiocy of thinking a two-faced, self-obsessed, opportunistic journo is not the man to be running the country, so it will probably be his successor. When the Tories get the knives out they are not slow about getting rid of their own. Look at Maggie.

But one thing is clear to me – that if this shower of shambolic incompetents are indeed intent on some nefarious globalist enterprise, we have little to fear. Their ‘world-beating’ app came to nothing and they remain incapable of organising a the proverbial piss-up in a brewery. So count me not afraid.

And no, there is no camera system in my home or anyone else’s. My daughter visited me in the garden yesterday with my grandson and no-one would have known if they’d come in the house. But I think she’d rather not risk bumping me off, if either of them pick up something from school/nursery.

You need to be less dramatic, benr. In human history, nothing – not even the threat of eternal damnation – has ever prevented those who fancy a casual shag from getting one.

          • elysianfield October 18, 2020 at 11:32 am #

“To sum up, sex in a private home, if individuals are in Tier 2 & 3 regions is now illegal

            hmuller,

…always has been, under usual circumstances and in many countries.

          • GreenAlba October 18, 2020 at 11:36 am #

            hm

Like benr, you are a fan of drama, and a good headline.

It seems obvious to me that if people are not supposed to be in each others houses for a specific duration, it doesn’t really matter if they’re shagging from the chandeliers or playing scrabble. As there are no Big Brother cameras watching them, no-one will know. But the shagging side of things will always bring out the lovers of a good headline. So do carry on.

Not having ever been a personal fan or practitioner of casual shagging, the topic of where you can or can’t have it leaves my eyes glazing over somewhat. But I’m amused that all the professed Christian conservatives and people regularly scandalised by those promiscuous ‘liberals’ are suddenly ardent promoters of the casual fuck. Nothing new under the sun.

I pay little attention to the latest regulations – for the garden/house question, it doesn’t matter to me where the regulations say I have to meet my family – what matters to me is what we all think is sensible and justified in the circumstances.

But more importantly, I don’t know any more than anyone else does how best to actually deal with this problem. But I know that last week a Covid outbreak killed 6 people in the cancer ward of the hospital I had to go to myself last Monday for my 12-month follow-up check (thankfully not in the actual ward).

Clearly with the new way of counting deaths, we’re not allowed to say they died of Covid. We have to say they were stupid enough to get cancer, and even if some were 30-year-old mothers of toddlers, fuck them, they died of having an immune system temporarily weakened by chemotherapy.

Earlier in the year, health systems were criticised (and rightly so in many cases) because non-Covid patients were either reluctant to present for investigation or were disadvantaged because of cuts in screening, and now when said health systems are trying NOT to let non-Covid patients suffer, it seems they’re going to suffer anyway if Covid gets into their ward. Sorry, if the ‘hoax’ gets into their ward.

Likewise, Liverpool (tier 3?) has 95% of its intensive care beds taken up already, thanks to the surge in Covid hospitalisations, and it’s only October, so the seasonal flu hasn’t even hit yet.

So, what to do? Well, instead of providing some actual suggestions as to what might work, we could spread some daft headlines about people not being able to get a casual shag?

As if anyone, anywhere, had ever gone without a casual shag if they really wanted one.

          • hmuller October 18, 2020 at 11:57 am #

GA, thank you for your long and detailed response. I guess we’ll never see the issue of human freedom the same way. Too bad there isn’t more William Wallace in you.

“I see, GA, that the UK government is using the Covid “Crisis” to issue regulations on who is permitted to have sex with whom. I can see why so many Scots want to secede. ”

BTW, since you don’t seem to be aware of the freedoms that we do have, health is a devolved matter in the UK, so Boris Johnson’s edicts on who can have sex with whom and where have fuck all (sorry 🙂 ) to do with what goes on in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland. So whatever might urge Scots to secede, it won’t be fears that they might be deprived of a casual shag by the most famous casual shagger of them all.

But they’re watching the unravelling of BoJo’s attempts at governance and think they can do better.

My view, since I identify with the country (both Scotland and the UK) and not the state, is that I don’t like to make such decisions on the basis of who happens to be pretending to run the show at any given time. Although the Nats have demolished Labour in Scotland, which means there is no effective opposition UK-wide to the Tories, making English Torydom a bit of a fixture.

And all that came from the black gold!! Were it not for North Sea Oil (mostly off Scottish shores) the Nats would never have grown balls (and fantasies) the way they did. And now the oil is almost gone, but the emotion remains. But emotion is not a good basis for governance, sadly. And it sure don’t pay the bills the way the oil did.

Intensive care beds in Liverpool you say?

47 of 61 beds in use, or 5% below the average for October.

            https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8842707/Liverpools-NHS-trust-claims-intensive-care-units-80-quieter-usual.html

Councillor Paul Brant sparked fears yesterday after claiming the city’s critical-care units were already 95 per cent full and ‘filling up very fast’ amid a spike in Covid-19 cases.

“But Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which runs three hospitals across the city, dismissed the claim, insisting that its units were only 80 per cent full yesterday morning with just 47 of 61 critical-care beds occupied.”

And, once again, The Narcissist is made to look the fool with a 2-minute Duck Duck Go search.

Night Owl has provided a link to an article (Daily Mail) apparently refuting the information published in the BMJ. However, if you read the rest of this Daily Mail article, you can see the blatant cherry-picking of a headline.

However, doctors fear hospitalisations will surge in the coming weeks because of a spike in coronavirus cases. It can take patients up to a fortnight to become seriously ill and need NHS treatment for the disease.

It comes as data shows Liverpool’s infection rate has more than tripled since the end of September, leaving the city as one of the UK’s Covid-19 hotspots.

More than 500 cases were diagnosed for every 100,000 people living in the city in the week ending October 9 — up from around 150 over a fortnight ago, according to Government data.

Liverpool is currently the only place in England to have been plunged into a ‘Tier 3’ lockdown, with gyms, pubs and other hospitality venues forced to close for four-weeks to stem the tide of infections.

            and

” His (Brant’s) concerns were echoed by a top paediatrician on the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE), who was awarded an MBE last week.

Professor Callum Semple, who also works as a doctor in the city, warned yesterday 90 per cent of critical-care beds were full.

In a video released by Liverpool City Council he said that without action their critical-care capacity would be exceeded in a week.

‘We have got over 300 patients in beds and our intensive care capacity is currently running at 90 per cent,’ he said.

‘At this rate we are looking at exceeding healthcare capacity in the next week or so.’

Sixteen ICU beds in one part of a major hospital near me, four of which are currently taken with ‘Covid’ patients. The other twelve? Empty. Our hospitals aren’t, and never were, ‘overflowing’ despite the continuing hysteria peddled by the likes of GA.

I went into the same hospital in August, bearing in mind this was months after the so-called peak of the scamdemic, and it was deserted. Doctors, nurses and admin staff hanging around corridors chatting with nothing to do. Most surgeries are still being postponed. And what the hell for?

The reality is that people are now denying from cancer and various other diseases (not to mention the increasing suicides) because they’ve been denied their treatment or are watching their livelihoods disappearing before their eyes.

GA’s alright though, a retired granny with nothing better to do with her spare time than perpetuating the hysteria. With luck, Scotland will break away fairly soon. Just go, please.

OK, I’ll ignore the ageism. Not worth the bother.

And the idea that you have the slightest clue what I do with my spare time. I didn’t think of you as quite so arrogant earlier on, but you live and learn. I guess it’s a Brexit reaction (the ‘easiest trade deal ever’) and maybe it’s hurting that your hero has turned out to be an incompetent arse. Which I told you in advance.

So, ad homs it is, I guess. What a shame, but no matter. I didn’t advocate lockdowns in the first place and certainly not in my posts above. So I’m not sure where the hysteria is. My husband was based in the same block as I had to go for my cancer follow-up (one of the things I had to do in my spare time when I have nothing to think about). They were moved out to make way for a Covid ward earlier in the year. Now they’ve been moved back. But six of the cancer patients in the block died last week following a Covid outbreak in a cancer ward.

Feel free not to give a fuck and stick with the ad homs. It seems that cancer patients matter when it suits you people but not when it doesn’t.

I’m not sure what Scotland leaving is supposed to do for you, since the hysteria seems largely to be in England, and even largely in London, which rules you from afar, even up there in the North West.

But, as a qualifier, I suspect that we should define “shag” and “really wanted one”.

Your statement would be correct if applied only to women.

“Nit picking? Wish the hell I were. You are describing the central issue of male existence. The statement is almost dismissive of the primary motivator of male behavior. People die because of this.”

I think you are slightly over-reacting to a ‘premise’ that was both a bit flippant and probably a bit ambiguous.

When I said ‘anyone’ (granted, rather imprecise) I was thinking of ‘couples’ wanting to have sex, up to and including couples that only exist for a few hours or even less. Not ‘men’.

But I should have made that clear, for which you have my apology.

I was not aiming to suggest that every man everywhere is able to have sex when (and presumably with whom) he wishes in his dreams (up to and including your own Salma Hayek 🙂 ) but merely that people who really, really wish to have sex with one another have mostly found a way, whether behind the bins or in the laundry cupboard, if it’s too cool for the local park. More so now with such enabling entities as Tinder. And my main point remains that I don’t think anything Boris Johnson says is going to change what people do after dark, in the absence of sex police. if they really, really want to. If they are less desperate, and perhaps even wanting to be helpful in not spreading the bug, they will make do with hotteenslutz.com and the like for the duration. Many of them now prefer that kind of thing anyway, sadly.

However (digressing here …), given your views on the primary motivator of male behaviour, it seems to me, yet again, that people like to have it both ways. When heterosexual men claim to have an insurmountable sex drive, they claim it with not a little pride (combined with a search for sympathy). When they describe the sex drive of men whose dangly bits involuntarily stand to attention not at the sight of a woman, as they might wish, but at the sight of a handsome fella, many of said heterosexual men (and women) can’t heap enough opprobrium on them. Seemingly the gay ones choose the level of their sex drive, but the heterosexual ones are tragically burdened with it. Nothing new under the sun …

And a whole globe-spanning church has thought, since the 11th century, that it was a really good idea to deprive its priests of a sex life altogether.

        From your article:

“Trump has said he wants clean air and clean water, but his administration has rolled back numerous environmental regulations, deeming them burdensome for business. The president has publicly doubted climate change and pulled the U.S. out of a multinational pact that aims to slow the rate of global warming.

He installed a former coal lobbyist to lead the Environmental Protection Agency, while Bernhardt is a former energy industry lobbyist. Meanwhile, the budget proposal Trump released Monday would cut the Interior Department’s permanent and discretionary funding for the conservation fund by three-fourths.”

Do you even read this stuff before you post the link?

        Just the headline, right?

Utterly silly Mr. Spencer. You attempt a strategy in which you slightly insult in hopes of getting them to want your good opinion.

We have not shifted to the far right. Not at all. What happened is that the left has left the solar system. They are now full on totalitarian left extremists, and no sane person wants that.

I also tire of people who excuse crimes by saying all politics is dirty. Some truth to that but how much is too much?

Collusion between pols, the media, many judges and major intel agencies?
      Murder?
      Sedition?
      Attempted coup?
Selling our nation to the highest bidder?

Do you believe we should have no standards at all?

So I get up in the AM ,grab a coffee, surf the web and the tube to try and get the pulse of what is goin’ on. A poster on twitter, wishes President Trump dies and burns in a fire. WHAT? That is the most horrible death that there is. These TDS people are severely twisted. I’ve seen it and being burned alive is grotesque.

    • stelmosfire October 18, 2020 at 8:32 am #

I picked up a guy, stabbed 18 times. Middle of January on the street in Western MA. Leather coat, vest, flannel shirt. Walked out of the hospital the next day. Obviously the assailant was a piker with a shit knife.

        Bad drug deal if interested.

Only one guy I ever knew was stabbed – in a bar. Got just one knife wound in the upper chest. Didn’t hit anything important, just tissue and muscle damage. It ended up being extremely painful, with the doctors worried about infection. He recovered fine, but was out of action for a couple of weeks. Knife wounds are very nasty.

I was walking the hound, poop bag in hand, Saturday afternoon in the royal blue state of Massachusetts. As I conversed with my fellow citizens of this supposed bluest of the blue states in the October fire of the Sugar Maples it came to my attention that many are in agreement with the GOP message. Definitly not pro= Biden Fuck the dems and their give away platform. We’re not up with the “I pay so they play” BS.

Yea even some of my most afflicted TDS people around me are now being hit upside the head so badly they don’t know what to do.
They still hate Trump but they don’t trust Biden and don’t like Kamala.

    Perfect!

    Lifted from the Vc star.

Thank you, liberals, for creating a world where everyone is a victim, and offended by everything. Thank you for creating an atmosphere where one misspoken word can lead to the end of a career, or worse. Thank you for automatically labeling everything racism when something doesn’t go your way. Thank you for thinking the best way to fight racism is to face it in the opposite direction. Thank you for allowing mob rule to dictate policy and erase history.

Thank you for supporting criminals instead of law enforcement, while making it increasingly difficult for law-abiding citizens to defend their families. Thank you for turning journalism into activism. Thank you for turning public education into indoctrination. Thank you for increasing the homeless population with your “solutions.” Thank you for turning the previously “golden” state into a cesspool of poverty, union corruption, and streets filled with dangerous felons who should be in prison.

I’m old enough to remember a time when California had the best of everything. This is now completely upside down due to liberal “leadership.” How proud you must be to see that your policies have produced the worst schools, worst roads, failing bridges, dams, and levies, the worst poverty rate in the nation, and a disastrous state employee pension system for your criminal union bedfellows. All this while charging the highest taxes, punishing us with the most expensive gasoline and utility costs, and creating one of the worst business climates in the country.

A miserable failure by any measure. I can only hope the rest of the country is paying attention and will not allow the San Francisco plague to spread beyond California’s borders. I hope to be joining the exodus and need a reasonable place to escape to. And quit calling yourselves progressives, because that falsely implies progress.

All true. Sadly, the fix is in. The media cover-up will get Old White Joe into the WH. And the blue tsunami will be complete with Dems taking back the Senate. This nation is about to enter the Dark Age of Socialism. Like sheep to the slaughter. Unfortunately, the descent is masked by this notion that the Dems are purging D.C. of Trump. Like running Frankenstein out of town. Admittedly, he has the social grace of Frankenstein. But that seems to be enough for a the fake news media to put him down. He won the battle, but the mighty media has won the war. Cheer up comrades. Everyone will soon be dirt poor, and will starve together in the cold. All because the media controls the narrative as more than half of this once great nation swallows the lie…hook, line, and sinker.

Want to hear where the totalitarian state is going to come from?

The house democrats are framing a bill to create a panel to gauge a presidents capacity to perform the job.

This is a clear shot at Trump if a miracle happens like 2016. It is also a move by the Progressives to dump Biden if he wins.

This is such a move toward Deep State control of the US it is astounding. Amendment 25 is bad enough but at least it is limited to a safeguard for the executive branch to protect themselves from a dangerous president or an incapacitated one. Not to settle political differences. Even impeachment is limited to prevent political debacles like earlier this year.

Impeachment is the control the Constitution gives to the Congress to balance power. This attempt to have Congress have power to arbitrarily remove a President is one of the first anti-Constitutional acts that Amy Barrett will block. This will hopefully be a block to the Progressive attempt to create a uniparty Deep State.

Sidebar. I wonder what the Red State reaction to the potential coming of the Progressive revolution. Is this where the media fought CW2 will begin? Do the Red states have the cojones to fight back against the oncoming crush of socialism, the rise of the cities. BTW, let the cities revolt, when they are cut off from those Red areas, it is going to get hungry very quickly. Hope they have a plan on how to stock their shelves.

Response to both Goodwalk and benr.

During California’s golden age (the 50s and 60s), as compared to today, the highest marginal income tax rate was nearly double; the federal minimum wage was 50% higher in real dollars; and corporate CEOs made a tenth in relation to their lowest paid workers.

As for fears of “socialism”: look at Canada.

“Socialized” health care (essentially Medicare without an age minimum), lower prescription drug costs, higher tax rates, higher minimum wage, robustly funded and universally strong public schools and universities, subsidized university tuition.

    Welcomes and assimilates immigrants.

Strong gun regulation and low levels of gun ownership.

    Less income inequality.

They don’t spend half their annual budget on the military.

Essentially, has for decades enacted the Democratic Party platform (and then some – the Democrats don’t go nearly as far on many fronts).

And Canada has higher levels of well-being as compared to the US on virtually every metric.

    And it isn’t Venezuela – it’s….Canada.

So can someone explain the fear that the US becomes Venezuela? Like, actually explain the chain of cause and effect that gets us from here to there, without the histrionics?

Or is the Venezuela boogeyman just so much more talk radio and Fox News bullshit?

    • JohnAZ October 18, 2020 at 12:48 pm #

You are forgetting one thing, Canada depends on the economic goodness of the US. Much of your Canadian goodness will disappear without a vibrant entrepreneurial US.

The Left revolution in the US will clobber Canada. No wonder the Canadians are looking toward China as they take over western Canada.

The Economic deal between the US, Canada and Mexico will fade in front of China’s rise. The Dems will be out there handing them the keys.

      • benr October 18, 2020 at 2:58 pm #

He has also forgotten Defense spending.
Canada does not need to worry about being attacked precisely because of the US defense budget.
For that matter most western countries enjoy the benefits of the US defense umbrella and agreements for a pittance of what it really costs.
Something our current resident in the Whitehouse has been working on and shaming most NATO members into paying more for the common defense against the specter of Communist take over.
He of course knows all this but being a partisan hack only interested in the destruction of our Representative Republic and turned into a third world Socialist slave state.

JohnAZ and benr, neither of you really addressed my question. Again, I think the oft-repeated right-wing talking point that the US is at risk of becoming Venezuela is hysterical nonsense.

But you both made other points.

JohnAZ, yes, Canada’s economy is tied to the US’s and rises and falls with ours, for the most part. However, Canada did just fine during the higher-tax/higher-regulation Clinton and Obama eras. And they didn’t get hit as hard during the Great Recession, because of financial regulation and tax policies that discouraged the rampant real estate and financial speculation we saw down here. You are operating on one or maybe two rather hysterical premises, namely that higher tax rates on high earners will wreck our economy, and / or that Biden will usher in a revolution that will wreck our economy. Neither is remotely likely and both are contradicted by history.

As for China, yeah, that’s an issue for the US. On the other hand, China has its own issues. Remember how back in the 80s we all were sure Japan would be eating our lunch? Just as we saw Peak Japan back then, we might be seeing Peak China about now. That said, we might not be. But either way, the pendulum has clearly swung against China trade doves in both parties.

benr, yeah, the Allies unquestionably benefit from the US security umbrella. But that doesn’t mean that the US should necessarily spend as much as it does on the military. Particularly when we have health care and educational systems that are failing the US citizenry relative to said Allies. And as usual, you just can’t stop yourself from going off the rails with that last line of yours.

      • Kim October 19, 2020 at 12:46 am #

        @ HapMan

Canada did just fine during the higher-tax/higher-regulation Clinton and Obama eras.

But – in fact – they didn’t so “just fine”. They financialized (borrowed and inflated) their way through their problems just like everyone else.
Current household debt level in Canada?

Household debt ratio rises to 176.9%, Statistics Canada says

        https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/statistics-canada-debt-1.5609510

So people in Canada are up to their necks in personal debt. At the same time, as in Australia, their economy has depended for these last twenty or even more years on mass immigration to sustain a non-stop housing construction boom.

The problem with this is that housing is consumption, not production. That is, it is all funded with debt that – at some point – has to be paid back with production.

How are Canada and Australia going to do that?

    • Kim October 19, 2020 at 12:04 am #

      @ HapMan

So can someone explain the fear that the US becomes Venezuela? Like, actually explain the chain of cause and effect that gets us from here to there, without the histrionics?

I canm explain it but I am pretty sure you won’t listen. But here goes, briefly, as I am sure I am wastng my time with you.

      1. Continued racial mongrelization (as in Venezuela)

      2. Continued failure of the fossil fuel sector (as in Venezuela)

      3. Continued large scale corruption at the highest levels of government (as in Venzuela)

The main problem is of course number two, but what guarantees that problem number two is never adequately addressed is that the country is run corruptly and that the country has been (deliberately over decades) turned into a divided, identity-politics-driven low-IQ nation, like Venezuela.

    • Kim October 19, 2020 at 12:32 am #

      @ HapMan

During California’s golden age (the 50s and 60s), as compared to today, the highest marginal income tax rate was nearly double; the federal minimum wage was 50% higher in real dollars; and corporate CEOs made a tenth in relation to their lowest paid workers.

I am sympathetic with what you are saying. No one could be keener to go back to the USA of the 1950s than me! Damn, begin the mass deportations now, I say!

The problem is, while we can compare the USA of the 1950s and 1960s with the USA today, we cannot equate these two very different periods. Certainly, we cannot draw the lesson that the United States today could solve its problems with higher levels of personal taxation.

In the 1950s and 1960s, the United States

      1. was an 89.5% white nation and only 10% black (today blacks may make up as muicha s 15% of the nation with Latinos at least 30%)

      2. had an intact family life

      3. no pornography (especially not being piped into children’s phones!)

      4. no mass immigration (This began in 1965, alongside mass illegal immigration to the point that a minimum of 7% of today’s US population are illegal aliens)

      5. had a gold standard

      6. was a world conventional fossil fuel energy giant

      7. there was no birth control Pill

      8. the government sector was much smaller and not organized along race lines (for example, 18.5% of the Federal Education Department is black)

      9. the modern USA has been devastated by the fall of marriage and the rise of single parent households, creating both a huge parasite class and a deep psychological burden for the entire nation

Almost a quarter of U.S. children under the age of 18 live with one parent and no other adults (23%), more than three times the share of children around the world who do so (7%).

In comparison, 3% of children in China, 4% of children in Nigeria and 5% of children in India live in single-parent households. In neighboring Canada, the share is 15%.

      https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2019/12/12/u-s-children-more-likely-than-children-in-other-countries-to-live-with-just-one-parent/

      10. No Civil Rights Act creating advantages for race hucksters, dragging down educationala ndprofessional standards, and creating hostile and divisive environments for whites

      11. The populations of the USA was not swimming in psychotropic drugs, legal and illegal

The 2016 National Study on Drug Use and Health reported that an estimated 28.6 million Americans age 12 and overused illicit drugs during the month prior to the study. That means roughly one in 10 people struggle with some level of substance use, including addiction to prescription drugs.

      https://talbottcampus.com/prescription-drug-abuse-statistics/

      12. The United States was not hemmed in by a shoal of neighboring narco-states

      13. The USA was not at that time laboring under the relentless working out of the Triffin Dliemma

The Triffin dilemma or Triffin paradox is the conflict of economic interests that arises between short-term domestic and long-term international objectives for countries whose currencies serve as global reserve currencies. This dilemma was identified in the 1960s by Belgian-American economist Robert Triffin,[1] who pointed out that the country whose currency, being the global reserve currency, foreign nations wish to hold, must be willing to supply the world with an extra supply of its currency to fulfill world demand for these foreign exchange reserves, thus leading to a trade deficit.

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triffin_dilemma

      14. Israel did not have its claws so deeply into US politics

      15. the economy had not been finnacialized (a direct result of going off the gold standard)

I could add many more strong points to this list but suffice it to say, it is worthless to try to suggest that what worked in California in the 1950s and 1960s could be applied to save the entire nation today.

Maybe you haven’t noticed, HapMan, but the white people who made that world have been demonized and driven off.

So if you think that the browns and the blacks are going to create worlds diffferent from the broken down worlds they come from, boy are you going to be disappointed.

    • Kim October 19, 2020 at 12:57 am #

The single major fact that distinguishes Canada from the United States is its low (but increasing) number of blacks.

As is well known, blacks are a natinal scourge in the United States, where 1 out of 3 adult black males has been convicted of a felony.

New research led by a University of Georgia sociologist on the growth in the scope and scale of felony convictions finds that, as of 2010, 3 percent of the total U.S. population and 15 percent of the African-American male population have served time in prison. People with felony convictions more broadly account for 8 percent of the overall population and 33 percent of the African-American male population.

How many blacks live in Canada? I have seen a number as low as 2%, which would mean dewer than even Filipinos.

58.9% of Canadians reported being members of a single ethnic group in the 2016 Census. 31.7% of them stated “Canadian” as their single ethnic origin, followed by Chinese (7.1%), English (5.4%), East Indian (5.4%), French (5.0%), Italian (3.4%), Filipino (3.2%), German (2.8%), First Nations (North American Indian) (2.6%), Scottish (2.3%), and Irish (2.3%).

Of course, Canada does not record (the truth) race-related statistics for crime, but even so, it is well known that even with just a 2% black populations, blacks in Canada are felonious beyond their numbers, as they are everywhere they go, as suggested in this cautious Canadian news article.

Here is a thought about the Dem platform.

    Robbing Hood!

They want to tax the hell out of people making 400000 or more and corporations. What are they actually doing?

They are taking money from the Haves to distribute to the have nots.

Have nots congregate in cities, this is an attempt to redistribute capital from Fly over states to the Blue cities.

Now think about how ludicrous this is. Where are those Haves located? Cities! So they are going to tax the wealthy folks of the cities to give money to the poorer elements of the cities.

And the Cuomos wonder why the guts of New York are heading south, permanently taking their taxes with them. DeSantis has a gigantic grin on his face. Same in California.

So Red guys and gals, watch out. The Left is going to get the Deep State to come after you to pay the freight when the city dominoes start to fall. Forget the 400000 limit, that will disappear quickly when they come after your wallet to try to bail out the cities.

And eventually the entire Liberal con job will be blamed on Trump.

  79. JohnAZ October 18, 2020 at 12:39 pm #

    Straw man.

Watching Joe and Jill Biden. Is it possible that the real power is in Jill’s hands? Is she Hillary all over again? Or Nancy Reagan? Is Joe just a shill dummy resting on her lap as she takes her direction from the PTB?

Just saw a Fox News report on the early voters by mail. Overwhelmingly Democrat, in some battleground states, two to one. Republicans typically are the ones voting early! This is scary.

You can fool all of the people some of the time, you can fool some of the people all of the time.

I guess this shows you can fool most of the people all the time. All you have to do is own the judicial system, own the MSM, own Silicon Valley, own the intelligence services, own Hollywood. Trump does not stand a chance, along with his folks, the 20th century Americans that are proud of their country.

Living in these times has made me appreciate the wisdom of our ancient traditions, which speak to the futility of seeking salvation in politics, building heaven on earth, and looking to the world of men and matter for hope and inspiration. Everything toxic about this age follows from its bad metaphysical foundations imo – its faith in a superficial “progress” that has perverted culture, warped minds and destroyed souls on an industrial scale. I’m checking out of politics and culture from here on out; I think the most revolutionary thing anyone can do now is to not participate, to secede spiritually from this age and become what Morris Berman calls an “NMI” – a New Monastic Individual.

I understand why some might think Trump is the last, best hope against a totalitarian technocratic system of spiritual inversion, but I think that shipped sailed a long time ago, and it’s finally become clear how sick and unsalvageable this society is at its foundations. Trump’s historic achievement is to expose the rotten foundations of this society, to put the ugly reality in the “progressives” face and hasten the destruction of the whole grand illusion. As Rene Guenon put it, “The “end of a world” never is and never can be anything but the end of an illusion.” Here’s to the end of the world.

    • JohnAZ October 18, 2020 at 3:49 pm #

Thank you. I am about the same place as your description, along with a lot of the folks backing Trump’s run at the presidency.

Trusting in men or women is a foolish proposition. I would argue that dropping out is a bad decision but no longer. The Dem victory, if they sweep, is the death of the two party system. I notice that the RINO traitors are not setting up an alternative party when the debacle is over. They are finished, their own civil war has finished them. Watching Cindy McCain promoting Biden in a political ad made me want to puke, listening to her espousing how honest and loving Biden is. Stuff it, Cindy, you have helped destroy republican America.

    • elysianfield October 18, 2020 at 6:23 pm #

      “New Monastic Individual”

      Shiva,
      Bingo.

“I understand why some might think Trump is the last, best hope”

Trump the last best hope? No. Just an unusual alternative to what awaits.

    • tucsonspur October 18, 2020 at 6:52 pm #

‘its faith in a superficial “progress” that has perverted culture, warped minds and destroyed souls on an industrial scale’. SD

Yes, where are we going with this relentless ‘progress’ and growth?
Certainly not to a more harmonious and fulfilling world. Apparently the ‘ancient traditions’, whatever they were, were not enough to withstand rapid growth in population, complexity, and the demands of a consume or perish society.

Trump himself is metaphysically challenged if not toxic, manifestly material with hardly a trace of transcendental mystique. To his credit he did expose our faithless foundations by simply running and winning. The Democrats are no better, although they wear the cloak of caring and concern like more credible, crafty cons.

Is being an NMI the same as tuning in, turning on, and dropping out?
Checking out of ‘culture’, depending on what you mean, can be counter productive. Culture, art, music can provide comfort and relief, a sense that all is not lost. It may not provide answers, but what will these days?

By becoming an NMI, can’t you also become something of a non entity, a non-meaningful individual, except to yourself?

      • Shiva Dance October 18, 2020 at 10:34 pm #

For me an NMI is someone who has a tradition or current that extends beyond their age, and uses that as a guide for how to live and stay sane as the world goes crazy and falls apart around them. You probably do become a non-entity to people caught up in the latest craziness, but that’s not a problem.

    • Night Owl October 18, 2020 at 7:09 pm #

The thing to keep in mind when reading Berman is that he wants the collapse.

Anyone with a shred of empathy or, better yet, common sense does not yearn for a total collapse.

What I found after reading Berman long enough was that he seems to be an unhappy guy who very much wanted success in the system. It is hard not to notice the overall feeling of disappointment, as well as the extreme level of contempt he has for the average American.

While I agree with some of his observations (I left the US myself), Berman has a very dark side to him and his comment section has a cult feel to it.

Remember ‘Woodys’, from the old Surf City days?

I’m not certain what model vehicle they exactly were. Willys jeeps? Studebaker Slant 6s? Ford Big 8 Station Wagon?

I keep thinking this blog has totally gone to the dogs and then I read a post from Shiva Dance. Thank you for posting. The phrase “The Buck Stops Here” started w/ Harry Truman. He had it posted on his desk at the Oval Office. Yeah, yeah…I know he was a dirty Democrat, but what the hey. The MSM proclaimed in the days when the printed word meant something that the Republican Dewey had defeated Truman. Times change. The MSM rolls with what sells.

Our current president has chosen to pass the buck rather than take responsibility for anything. When faced with a global pandemic that required a national response, he passed the buck to states and said you figure it out or changed the subject. When they did what they thought was best they got chastised and punished if the response wasn’t to his liking. This is the United States of America??? This is a president working for all of us??? With the current president, it’s more often than not fake news, blame Obama, look at Hillary, or if you can’t figure something out, by all means, don’t consult anyone who just MIGHT know a little bit more about something than you do. It is possible, you know. Oh, and if you do consult them and they disagree w/ you, fire them. Is this any way to run a railroad?

C,mon CFN bloggers, have at me. I’m a big boy. I can take it.

The walls are closing in now. Next drop on the Bidens is going to be even worse. Kazakhstan up now. And there are rumors of some hard core torture porn coming out of China.

Your hero sold his country out, and there are about 5 different scandals coming to a head — all perfectly timed by the Bad Orange Man.

      Time for bed, Tom.

    • JohnAZ October 18, 2020 at 7:29 pm #

      I will.

Your memory of the Covid beginnings are right out of the New York Times.

Trump was just finishing up reaction to the impeachment proceedings in January when the news of the virus arrived from China. The first info was put out by the CCP and WHO that some virus had transferred from wet meat markets in Wuhan and that steps were being taken to control the spread. China locked down the Wuhan area. The WHO downplayed the impact and even declared that it did not transfer human to human.

At this juncture, no one paid much attention, Trump, the Dems, or the media. The one thing that was happening was that China, locking down its area, was allowing free flow of infected people to Iran, Italy and the USA. Until January 30, when Trump closed the border to the Chinese. Screams of racism and xenophobia flew out of the Dem camp, led by Biden. Soon afterword in February, the rapidly spreading European virus prompted Trump to ban travel from Europe , again to the screams from the Dems. If we had followed the Dem lead at this time, we would have been in much deeper trouble.

So next, he formed the council to fight the epidemic, it wasn’t called a pandemic yet. Pence was in charge, we met Fauci and Birx for the first time. Our new lexicon was contact tracing, control the epidemic by quarantining the victims. New York and New Jersey’s fiascos happened during this period. The response to the first hot spots was people fleeing from the center of infection making contact tracing impossible. Not recognized at the time was the asymptomatic spread that also made contact tracing possible. So the next stage was marked by mitigation’s, lockdowns and the impact on the economy began. A counter movement started of people, including a number of CFNers, to fight the requested shutdowns. Trump, in his zeal for the economy sided with this group. The rest has been a history of misguided mitigation and MSM bullshit trying to clobber Trump.

The situation remains the same and Biden will have to face it. Do we ignore the crud in favor of trying to minimize impact on the economy, or do we lockdown the economy to hopefully drive the crud to zero.

Quit blaming Trump for something he had nothing to do with. He handled things as well as anyone could. Put the blame where it is due, China.

      • JohnAZ October 18, 2020 at 7:32 pm #

You are going to find out what a poor choice Biden is when you see him do absolutely nothing about the crud except let it continue running under flatten the curve rules,

Europe is paying the price right now for not paying mind to this killer.

“I don’t think the way he’s led through Covid has been reasonable or responsible or right.”

        • JohnAZ October 18, 2020 at 8:56 pm #

I do not care what any politician says about the startup of Covid and the Trump response. One common denominator I notice is that no one, MSM, politician, whatever, has given a better idea of what to do.

First, I would like to add that during the NY-NJ fiasco, Trump stepped in with both feet to get the machines and PPE for the folks in NY and California. He was thanked by the local folks for his actions during this time.

TC it is so easy to criticize when you do not know what you are talking about and you just ape the stupidity of the MSM and Trump’s enemies. You should be considered for the TDS award this month.

      • FreddieMars October 19, 2020 at 3:01 am #

        Come on JohnAZ.!

He could have taken it seriously from the very outset. It would have been a difficult – probably impossible – job but he’s claiming he ‘saved’ 2 million lives due to his actions. True, no one can disprove the claim but likewise Mr Trump cannot prove his claim either.

I don’t blame him for anything In this black swan but his spectacular lack of true leadership, and his apparent demented desire to sow distrust and partisan mud-slinging.

At someone’s recent recommendation (in here) I bought MICHAEL Cohen’s book. It’s an eye-opener, even with the shovel-loads of salt required to swallow it all. What comes across through it all is that Trump requires -almost pathologically – a crisis. If there isn’t one, he’ll create one, unconsciously.

He’s a true agent of chaos, which is a large part of his appeal to those who carry the CT tropes (true or not) about globalist/deep state plans to (insert agenda here). But even if he’s exposing the problem and even asking the questions, Trump is not the answer and he doesn’t have any answers. This is existential shit and he’s just playing his reality TV life to a global (oops…wrong word probably) audience.

I’m finding it more and more difficult to consider giving Trump my paltry vote. Can you give me a good reason to do so?

        • benr October 19, 2020 at 8:49 am #

Voting for Joe will be even worse.

As far as shit slinging goes he has taken far more incoming then outgoing.

Just did a check on the increasing case loads world wide.

Interested? Google coronavirus “your state” statistics.

Check out the European countries, they are getting hammered, all of them. The worst surge yet by a factor of 5 in some countries. Tens of thousands per day in France and Germany. Then check out the worldwide chart. The trends have never, never gone down and are currently spiking. Numbers like 383,000 new cases PER DAY.

    • benr October 19, 2020 at 9:19 am #

As I said this thing is going to hit everyone and probably more than once.

    • K-Dog October 19, 2020 at 9:42 am #

I’ve learned a few things about this. The logistic difference equation has a lot to say on the subject.

      X[n+1] = r * X[n] * (1 – X)

The equation is a model for growth rate. The equation has been used to study population growth. Interesting things happen if the value of ‘r’ is over 3. The value of ‘r’ is well over 3 in a mask free environment with the covid virus.

We live in interesting times. The interesting thing if ‘r’ goes over 3 is called CHAOS. Going to herd mentality Trump style or turd immunity by mask free common ignorance is nuts. Letting the strong get infected to protect the weak (smart weak know better than to trust this shit) results in CHAOS. Think lighting bolts.

If you are still around in five years you can say you survived the great Feigenbaum Bifurcation of 2021.

Resulting from a refusal to do the mask.

Just checked deaths. Better news as that is staying steady, so far. Maybe we are learning how to slow the mortality, or the mortality is delayed behind new cases. We will see.

My 86 year-old aunt was just released from the hospital after her bout w/ the cozy. First in our family to contract the bug. Just a casual flu, of course. The nurses called her Mary Sunshine. Maybe her positive attitude had something to do with it. Hallelujah, PTL. Good night, Kim

Good news about your aunt. Enjoy her next birthday party!

My own mother is 84 (1936 was a good year!) and she’s free of co-mobidities (thankfully) and is at low risk of catching the bug – careful in public (mask) and limits visitors to her home. She’d probably kick it if she caught the low-grade strain that seems to be going around right now anyway.

I never really wanted to secede. But even then, was I ever free? And did I truly want to be? I can definitely understand no longer wanting to participate in the larger mainstream society. But whether or not one or a few individuals choose to disengage, society is beyond likely to continue existing and evolving in some form with or without you. And so unless you can remove yourself entirely from the society in all ways including physically, then you are very likely to be diectly affected by the way that society evolves. The ways in which politics and culture change depend exactly upon the people that comprise the politics and culture. If one doesn’t participate at all then they should expect society to advance in ways that may be undesirable and unfavorable for their own values and well being. Obviously this can happen anyway but to rule out any activity to further one’s values in politics and culture seems to ensure certain societal outcomes, which could be good for most people potentially, never have a chance of occurring. Humans are social creatures. Politics and culture can be found in even the most primitive of human socities. So again, its an understandable sentiment. But it seems like it might not work in practice.

Ah, my friends from the prison, they ask unto me

    Gee what a surprise!
As if they would not hesitate to stack the deck against Trump to win.
The did after all give Hillary all the questions in her bid to win against a “fellow” Democrat.
It’s all about power, corruption and lies.
