You had to wonder why it took Nancy Pelosi so long to figure out that maybe impeachment was not the big rock-candy mountain that, for “the resistance,” marked the gateway to a Trump-free nirvana. It became obvious this week, through the release of the Bruce Ohr and Lisa Page transcripts, that RussiaGate was birthed entirely by persons in the employ of Hillary Clintion, with then CIA Director John Brennan as midwife, and the DOJ / FBI avidly assisting — all of them fully aware that the predicate was false. What’s more, the evidence timeline makes it clear that Democratic Party leadership, including Nancy Pelosi, knew it was false. Hence, the pained smile she’s been wearing these many months.
In the event of an impeachment proceeding in the House, all that would be revealed, especially if it got as far as a trial in the US Senate, where the defense is allowed to mount a case under rules of evidence. Imagine the howls of embarrassment on late-night TV when even ex-comedian Stephen Colbert would have to admit that he was gulled into acting as a shill for a seditious con.
I suppose Ms. Pelosi also made the calculation that any impeachment ginned up by the likes of Jerrold Nadler and Maxine Waters would be superseded by a slew of actual indictments among the above-mentioned former law enforcement officialdom, including perhaps former Attorney General Loretta Lynch and persons in the Obama White House. You might even include the enigmatic Robert Mueller, who appears to be liable for the destruction of evidence in his own inquiry, as well as malicious prosecution.
All the actual evidence in the public arena indicates that any “collusion” to interfere with the 2016 election involved agents of the Clinton campaign and US government employees, not Russians. Of course, it will not be so easy for Mr. Nadler and Ms. Waters to call off the committee exercises they’ve been rehearsing, but it will be fun to watch them pissing into the wind as the indictments roll out.
In his new book, Peak Trump, David Stockman called the RussiaGate affair “a Democratic Party Bereavement Ritual,” an excellent diagnosis. The breast-beating and garment-rending has gone on for more than two years, inducing a generalized hysteria that has made it impossible for this country to govern itself, and opening the door to some really serious mischief as the party’s new Jacobin wing sets up for the advent of an American failed state.
All of this is a prelude to equally serious tribulation roaring down the two-lane pike of finance and economy that will combine with the engineered destruction of institutional authority from RussiaGate to bring on the greatest crisis since the Civil War. The money is not there to perform any of the miracles of redistribution promised by AOC and Bernie Sanders — unless the Federal Reserve is coerced into printing a whole lot more money out of thin air, in which case the consequence will be that everybody gets to have a lot of worthless money that has lost its value.
If congress wants to play committee games, it might want to investigate how the USA is going to rack up another $2 trillion in debt to finance its operations before the 2020 election. They’re the ones who will have to vote to allow that to happen. The disorders of money coming down in the months ahead, RussiaGate aside, are sure to discredit both political parties. I doubt that Mr. Trump will survive it politically and the revenant Republican Party behind him is so devoid of credible leadership that it could dissolve altogether like an evening mist preceding the cold darkness of night. By then, the whole American political establishment will be, as Mencken quipped, like a blind man stumbling around a dark cellar looking for a black cat that isn’t there.
Hysterias don’t last forever, but the economic depression ahead will last a long, long time, and the nation will have to find some way to adjust to a lower standard of living. None of the nostrums currently in the air — the guaranteed basic income, Medicare for all, the Green New Deal — will avail to alter that fate. The big question is just how disorderly and violent the journey through that will have to be.

Ha, ha, “revenant Republican Party” gave me immediate visions of Mitch McConnell and his dimwitted cohorts being mauled and disemboweled by grizzly bears. Thank you for that uplifting fantasy. The question shall now move to the level of “what next”, don’t you think? The democratic party is under internal assault by the puppet masters behind AOC and with the republicans worthless, non-existent and pretty much useless as well, what could possibly be next? Perhaps it will be time for that financial reset, collapse or whatever they have in their magic bag of stupid tricks to be pulled out and powered up our collective bung holes to distract the herd and avoid stampede. Tough to organize any real resistance when the back door won’t close properly. It will be an interesting Spring to be sure.

Chris Christie’s book “Let me Finish.” Seems to be the prevailing wind.
…and a foul wind indeed it is. The brilliant Christie tome should be subtitled: “C’mon, I haven’t wiped yet”.
He was on that former comedian’s Stephen Colbert’s show. He said Jared Kushner stopped him from being vice-president, because as Attorney General of New Jersey he put Kushner’s father, who was then the richest man in the state, in prison for tax evasion I think. Somehow I think this would have been a damn sight better with Christie as #2 rather than the obsequious Pence, whose lips by this time must be as exhausted as the best blowing whore in Harlem, or Tijuana if you’re bigoted heart prefers.
Chris Christie was GREAT seawolf when he was busting corrupt NJ politicians as a federal prosecutor (are there any other kind?). His big mistake was becoming a politician himself. A real shame he did not concentrate on what he was good at and spend an entire career stringing up the bums. We need that.

Kunstler reads a book and you feel it must be worth reading. Another example of the blind leading the deaf and dumb.
Why is it money only loses value when used for things like Medicare for all and free public college? Is dollar value in protective bubble wrap when used to offset gargantuan tax relief for those that require it least? Is it’s value immune from bloated spending on military apparatus to buoy our global interventions? The payoff for all that spending is exactly what maestro?

This week featured a phenomenon I thought would never come to pass. A hallowed corporation so deeply stewing inits bottomless greed and corporate criminality actually made Trump look good.
There is great consternation these fine days in the C-Suite of the foul Boeing – the anxiety over whether their puffed-up stock will crash along with 2 new airliners and 339 souls must be as thick as Beijing’s air.
Boeing’s cowardly CEO pathetically got on the phone to Trump (rather than the families of the victims whose lives are gone) to plead keeping his state-of-the-art Lawn Darts flying. Jail time. Lots of jail time.
Corporations are people too, but apparently very mean and even evil people. Stopped flying in those ‘lawn darts” years ago after a bad wind shear incident coming into Cleveland. I find it hard to believe that anybody anywhere still has any faith in those rocket powered aluminum cans. I seriously believe that the B-17 Flying Fortress represented the pinnacle of aviation design. I would have no problem flying in one of those bad boys.
It was a nice airplane. Nice lines, good symmetry, well balanced. Pratt engines I think. Maybe Wright Pratt’s, but I don’t know the difference. Myself I lean towards the Constellation, or the “Connie” as she is affectionately known. In today’s world I like the Saab 2000. Fastest turboprop out there, can take off anywhere, climbs like a rocket, and is Swedish.
Years ago when I was running my own engineering firm I used to rent a twin engine Beechcraft (I think) six seater for short business hops. The pilot was a retired combat fighter pilot and we took off from a small local airport. Pull up on the grass, get into the plane, take off, no hassles. The aircraft was so light and maneuverable that you actually felt like you were flying and it could glide for miles and land even with both engines out. It was far easier and more relaxing than any form of travel I have ever taken. Glad I was able to do it.

After watching Colbert’s hit piece on Tulsi Gabbard and trying to link her to Assad, David Duke, etc. I’m convinced that Colbert is nothing more than a propaganda agent for the deep state. His show is no longer anything that even remotely resembles comedy. I can barely stand watching even clips from his show. It’s all about Trump Derangement Syndrome.
The sickening part of it all is that the media is already working in tandem to take down Gabbard and people like Colbert are so blatantly obviously trying to set up a whole new “Russiagate” with Tulsi at the center.

And the rest of late night comedy as well. But his election night special remains and will remain comedy gold. By 9 pm, his smile became frozen and it gradually morphed into a grimace and then a snarl. I actually think the little funny fuck believes all this nonsense. Which means he is completely oblivious to the machinations and his own part in them – a frightening lack of self knowledge.
I can’t stand to watch any of them long enough to see that sort of emotional evolution.
Tulsi is presently a major in the Hawaii National Guard and served two tours during the height of the Iraq invasion. So, I’m puzzled when talking lheads, such as Colbert, Dana Bash, Morning Joe, the View Girls (Oh Meghan), etc., who have never put their ass on the line for their country, question her patriotism. The only fair shake that she has gotten from MSM is from Tucker Carlson on Fox.
Our staunchest Arab ally (nuclear weapons?) in the Middle East, Saudi Arabia, outlawed Christianity, whereby, the practice of can get you jailed or worse but in Assad’s secular Syria Christians are free to live, thrive and worshp.alongside Muslims, just as, they previously could in Iraq, Egypt and Libya. What a crazy, nonsensical country and world we live in!
Kind of ironic that the only MSM figure to give this progressive a fair shake is a conservative. I watched Tucker’s interview with her and he was absolutely fair and actually agrees with her. He reminded her many times that this was the only thing he agreed with her. I’m in that camp too. I Ignore all the minimum wage, gun control, climate change BS because of this one issue which I think outweighs all others combined in importance. Because if we are all radioactive ash in the end, who cares what the minimum wage is?
I also watched Colbert with Tulsi Gabbard and I cannot find anything like the level of outrage so many extremists (both left & right) are expressing.
He asked legitimate questions, and wasn’t in my view, ‘snarky’ or condescending.
When the criticism is about the QUESTIONS someone asks, then it’s clearly manufactured outrage.
For example, it is true that David Duke & Steve Bannon have both expressed their agreement with her non-regime-changing wars policy.
So what? Not her fault, and certainly she is not tarred by their brush as a result. And Colbert didn’t imply any such thing, Candidate Gabbard handled it perfectly.
If asked in private whether she felt attached or put-upon by Colbert, I’m betting she’d say ‘no’.
It is quite sickening. I once respected him, back when he gave it good to Shrub. Particularly at the WH correspondents dinner.

They both make me sad, but particularly Baltimore. In my DC days, I was there off and on, and they have some stunning (but dilapidated) architecture in places.
I recorded at a studio there once in sweltering heat as someone had stolen the industrial a/c unit over the prior weekend. I didn’t even know stuff like that got stolen. Good times.
I lived there for a stretch. Got threatened constantly, robbed, mugged at gunpoint. Just minding my fucking business. It was an eye-opening experience, one that more off these bitch-ass effete CFN posters should seek out.

I’d love to know the answer to that question too. Here in Washington things are pretty bad. Throngs of homeless occupy the streets of Seattle, and the resulting crime wave has forced the Seattle PD to stop enforcing property crime. They are too overwhelmed with rapes and murders. I believe taxes and bad economic policy are the underlying cause. The tax system in this state is the poster child of what not to do, unless you want all the money and power in a few hands. The taxes are so bad that in 2018 at least 36% of my gross income went to taxes. 99% of them state and local.
When do things get real? I’d say we’re already there. When do people start to wake up and give a fuck? Probably not until they starve.
Where do you expect them to go a red state? Please. At least Seattle is vibrant, the climate is temperate other than a snowstorm every 10 years or so (this one included), and there are plenty of woods to live in.
I expect them to live in an economic climate where job creation is encouraged and a days wage is enough to live on. The politicians in this state claim to help the downtrodden, but seem in reality to desire the opposite, based on their actions and policies. Do I want Seattle’s homeless to leave? No. I want our state to get its act together.
Rewind to 2008, multiply the amounts of debt exponentially, and then imagine that either no bailout is forthcoming, or that when it does we get hyperinflation of basic commodities. Wiemar Germany, Venezuela, and Argentina are all good examples, although post-USSR Russia might be even better. A land of super-abundance reverts to one of chronic shortages, unemployment, homelessness, and criminality over night. Death rates skyrocket, as “health care” becomes a cruel joke, available to only a handful. Kind of like what we have now in isolated urban pockets, but everywhere at once and MUCH, MUCH worse.

The examples you gave, Argentina, Weimar Germany, Venezuela, all were subjected to debt not denominated in their own currency. America has other options including bumbudumbump- more and ever greater levels of financing.
If some Po’-dunk bank or two goes tits up on some obligations, there will be a lot of hand wringing, but, the playbook is fairly straightforward.
Until the US currency’s status as global reserve currency and defacto determiner of world crude oil prices goes in the shitter. After that, the shell game will be over and the US debt WILL magically matter again. Cheap imports will cease and exports, having already had their means of production exported, will not come back anytime soon, even assuming the impoverished masses actually could pay enough for them to profitably do so.
So in short, no, Lil’ Sugary Snack Pack, no matter how many times the WaPo and the NYT says so, there simply is no neoliberal cornucopian tooth fairy mindlessly rewarding little boys and girls when they consume too much sugary snack sweetness and their rotting little indebted teeth fall out. You are correct Debbie that collapse of a currency system normally requires an outside influence in order to come about. As long as everyone within the country accepts the currency and the country does not need to import anything in order to keep the gears turning all they have to do is print. The problems start if outside nations refuse to take the junk fiat for goods. That is what the BRICS deal was and remains all about, so we shall see.

When reality finally takes back over all the little twinkies out there are gonna be in for a really big shock. But in the meantime you will never ever, ever, ever get them to understand. I personally think that a more likely situation is that confidence by the ‘investors’ and speculators will break for some reason or other and, then, we’ll face massive deflation rather than inflation.

Yang is winning legions with his talk about how automation etc is destroying jobs … and the first thing we need to do, is make sure people have a basic income. He is catching fire for 2020, like Trump caught fire in 2016.
The choice they say is a simple one … Everything going to hell … or everything going to hell, and you get $1000 per month until it gets there
Especially notable is how not only left-leaning millennials and generation Z, but the youth of the ‘alt-right’ etc on 4chan and similar, have in a huge body, ‘dumped’ Trump in favour of Andrew Yang and his $1000, ‘sailing on the Yang Yacht’ now that the Trump train has crashed, with Ann Coulter recently documenting Trump failures on nearly every major campaign promise he has made
The ‘Yang Gang’ memes on the web are often clever and hilarious. In one of them, a USA father tells his son ‘You are a man now, you must vote and choose a president. Will you pick orange cheeto blormpf? Or will you get that yang money bag?’
In a way it’s not unreasonable, cut the money for the wars and all the other boondoggle worthless gov programmes … and there is enough for $1000 for everyone, for a little while. As Japan showed after its own 1990 crisis – but the USA and EU etc ignored – the key thing is to give the common folk a little to spend on their basic needs, and you keep the economy afloat. For a while anyway.
$1000 a month would be……unearned riches. Who would want that?
It would also come with some sort of price tag in the form of benefits you would forego to get it. $12K/yr ain’t much, either way.

It won’t be long before no one works at the library. If there is even a physical library. As it is now I only go to the library to pick up and drop off actual books and DVDs that I placed on hold online. Everyday more and more books can be checked out and downloaded immediately in either ebook or audiobook format.
When the food stamp cards quit working and/or the ATM’s close down, all the major cities begin to go up in flames within 48 hours. That’s what the beginning will look like. What goes on in the rural areas? No idea. BIll and Hillary and their ilk will escape to Abu Dabi or somewhere. Even if that scenario is delayed, I predict Hillary will never even see the inside of a courtroom, let alone a jail cell, regardless of evidence.

I live in America. Electric power is cheap, clean, and affordable. Mainly, their rationale is for a marginal cost effectiveness. Well, that cost savings was a lie- those polluting energy sources put external costs on society. Carbon taxes place financial responsibility where it belongs.
Legitimate governments (or, governments who want to stay legitimate) are going to be those who place a premium on developing electrical distribution and storage systems compatible with the carbon-neutral generation sources of the future. Those governments must make the requisite investments in human capital- training and employing professional, skilled workers to build the industry- and infrastructure- to bring their nations to a competitive international standard.
The risks for nations lagging their peers in this effort will result in spending another century as a global pariah, locked in a cycle of financial and social malaise, politically and economically isolated and moribund. The pressure will only increase on those countries, as international technological standards leave their domestic markets adrift with legacy technology, incompatible and obsolete. Trade will fall, currencies will devalue, recessions will follow, and political legitimacy of regimes will tested.

As a pleb who, along with my brothers, went to grammar school (then the means of the lowly and not-quite-so-lowly getting their kids into a ‘better’ school if they passed the ’11+’, in order to fill the growing vacancies in the managerial ranks of the booming post-war economy – and more doctors and nurses to keep them healthy), I remain slightly baffled by this ‘sentence’.
And I would say the public school system was entirely ‘separable’ from the grammar schools, specifically in that it cost(s) tens of thousands of pounds to send a child to a public school and it cost precisely nothing to send your child to a grammar school.

What does ‘know’ mean? What does ‘false’ mean? I am always wondering how much all those people in the Fantasy, in the many and various smaller fantasies that are contained in it, are aware of the deceit. I think that they are all aware of it ‘at some level’ (whatever that means).
Just a couple of random examples. The General Medical Council took proceedings against Dr Andrew Wakefield and two of his colleagues on the medical team that published the controversial article that led to all the fuss about vaccinations and autism. (The remaining members of the team dissociated themselves from it.) Wakefield was struck off, as is well known, but the other doctor struck off, John Walker-Smith, was the leading expert in his field, that is the leading world expert. W-S appealed and won his case. The judge said that the GMC (in the biggest and longest case by a mile it had ever conducted) had made a complete mess. They had used ‘wrong reasoning’ against Prof. W-S and had not taken his expert witnesses properly into account. I like that phrase, ‘wrong reasoning’. There is a lot of it about.
My other example is the extraordinary Shieldfield case in England, where two Newcastle playschool (you call it ‘kindergarten’) assistants were dismissed by the Council for unspeakable acts of abuse against their charges. Criminal proceedings were started and the judge threw the case out because there was no evidence. But the Council ‘knew’ they were guilty really and set up an independent enquiry which found the pair guilty. They went into hiding in fear of their lives. Eventually they won a libel case which showed the lengths the enquiry went to in order to get the desired verdict. So sorry, you can’t look at it like that. It is a means to bring about the hyperinflation that is deeply desired. I never bothered to save money in any meaningful way because I’ve seen what happens to money saved over the two generations who came before me. My grandparents were prosperous people and put away what they thought would be plenty in good old money in the bank to fund a very comfortable retirement with a good bit left over for their two daughters. Then Nixon took us off the gold standard. The oil embargo and the resultant hyperinflation, while it didn’t leave them destitute left them pinching pennies in their old age. My parents were of more modest means and my father’s employment didn’t offer retirement benefits, but once their kids became self-supporting they saved as best they could. My mother is still with us. UBI is a meager payoff to appease the masses in lieu of genuine economic reform. The fact that it’s being proposed at all does express the underlying fear of the elite that things might be getting out of control, but it shouldn’t be construed as a genuine “peace initiative.”
The real thing would look like an initiative that would devise a way to share in the profits enabled by technological innovation, as in a very real sense, the workers being displaced, by sacrificing their jobs to the process, are enabling such gains every bit as much as the rich capitalist money men are by providing capital.
Capitalists would have you believe that the owners of capital are the be all, end all, at the expense of the social community to which they belong and from whose profits they usurped. That is the CORE problem to be addressed right now, and until it is, our problems will persist. UBI is nothing more than an extremely stingy bandaid to keep the baying hounds at bay.
Of course there’s the much more basic resource shortage problems underlying all that too, which is almost certainly why capitalists are hesitant to share in any gains. Credit where credit is due: capitalists are at least smart enough to know that the party’s rapidly coming to a close and that their stolen wealth gains will be the only thing protecting them from the roiling masses when it does.

Thing is, it won’t really maintain them at all. Might be effective towards eventually incarcerating and killing them, though.
But like I said above, the true point of UBI is to forestall genuine economic reform, which is the only thing that can possibly fix things. In that light, the masses would be incredibly short-sighted to settle for UBI.
And what about health care costs and the tax rate on this UBI “windfall.” By the time those two get through carving you up that $12K/yr might be no more than $3-4K, if that much. And then there’s the administrative costs of implementation, recipient fraud, and the many predatory financial schemes that would immediately emerge to exploit the recipients. Since it’s an annuity, would recipients be allowed to sell it on the “Cash Now” markets?
I can see a whole host of downsides to this scheme, not that it ever stands a hope in my place of implementation. In this case at least, the rich will be doing the poor a huge favor by rejecting this idea out of hand.
Scratch ‘n’ Sniff hasn’t thought this through. Andy Yang’s a dumb-dumb in other words. So is Milton Freeman, Chuck Murray, Robert Reich, James Baker, even Thomas Paine.

But is it possible for UBI to go hand in hand with genuine economic reforms? Most families will still need more income than UBI will provide so there will be plenty of incentives to work. The problem is that automation and digitization are removing the need for workers. Again, corporations are able to put profits ahead of the greater social good. That has to be stopped.

When I was in California, I used to grab lunch at the Mexican restaurants where they give you a choice of meats for your tacos, enchiladas, etc. My favorite meat is mutton or goat. Accordingly, in order to communicate with the fat Mexican women cooking the food, I made an effort to memorize some of the Mexican words on the menu posted on the wall of the restaurant. In one Mexican restaurant, the Mexican word for goat posted on the wall menu was “Chiva”, so I memorized this word. (Literally, “Chiva” means a female goat.) And henceforth every time I went into a Mexican restaurant to order I’d always ask for “Chiva”, but I would always get a very strange reaction from the Mexicans in the restaurant who would eventually correct me and tell me that I really wanted to order “Birria”. This dance went on for a long time. Only recently in my readings did I discover that the word “Chiva” is the slang and code word for Mexican Black Tar heroin. Jesus…. Or I should probably say “Hey Zeus”….

The system is managed tightly by the cartels that syndicate around central banking and warfare and it has four phases:

The bottom line of the performance of this country is its economy. The goodness of macro or micro economics depends of it debt load. You spend too much, you go bankrupt eventually. In historical terms, bankruptcy meant debtors prison, or death. A more compassionate world stopped the over punishment of debt, but too much debt still means economic irrelevance. The USA will become subservient to the international power structure as its debt load increases. Just like local bankruptcy dealings, all it takes is someone to require payment of a loan to collapse the Ponzi scheme. Fairly soon, the globalists will require payment of their share of the US debt as a geo-political ploy, and the house of cards will fall.
An interesting sidebar is what happens to the US population when the Federals become insolvent. No FHA, no VA, no Fed generating baloney money, no defense spending Keynesian spending, all deflating just about everything.
How to prepare for the above. Get out of debt! Prevent the ability of the financial group to steal your property. Shop locally, the big boxes will collapse, establish local relationships.

The New York Times is reporting widespread collapse of recycling. Philly is now incinerating half of 1.5 million residents’ recyclables, along with hundreds of cities across the country, sending the stuff to landfills as make export markets for the stuff have shut their doors.

Let’s face it, people. Our civilization is mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually sick. My experience has been most people do not live and let live and/or don’t practice the golden rule. As an example – and this is not a criticism – you sure don’t because you are generally against illegal immigration (as me). Think of all the illegals and their desires; don’t you think they have wants and needs, too, to live a better life? Concerning the golden rule, would you want illegals to treat you like you treat them? I’m not advocating illegal immigration, just saying it is very difficult to be an advanced human being, and we ought to admit to primitive behavior.
As far as intelligence goes, it isn’t brain size that matters, but the number of neuronic connections between brain cells that determines the level of intelligence. Keep in mind that dolphins and some other aquarian mammals have larger brains than us, yet we are more intelligent (by human qualities) than them.

The way things are headed, stopping people from entering where you live will become necessary to your own survival. Overpopulation is never a good idea. It’s been discovered that even bands of chimps patrol their territory, and kill strangers, the obvious reason being that more chimps mean more competition for resources. It’s so basic that even animals do it instinctively. It would be nice to be able to allow the whole world to come here, and we could feel good about ourselves, but the world doesn’t work that way.
If things go to hell, and I fully expect them to, people here are going to come face to face with many unpleasant choices. Up til now, we have been spared from making those kinds of decisions, but sooner or later it will have to be done. Like I’ve said before, it’s like being in a full lifeboat, with other people begging to get in. Now you have to do something that you’ve never wanted to do, tell them no, and leave them to drown. Most people here have never had to make a decision like that, and are horrified at the thought of doing so. Many people haven’t thought through the full implications of what climate change will bring, but this will be only one tiny part of it.

Yeah, Sean, an interesting post. I always railed against the law that punished men for unknowably having sex with a minor, especially one who looked older and stated they were of age. However, the Christchurch NZ massacre is different. Although apparently the act of an individual, it was terrorism, in the sense that the alleged perpetrator, Brenton Tarrant, consciously used the what Leftists used to extoll as “propaganda of the deed” to achieve a specific political goal. And it is a tragedy, in the sense that it was predictable and preventable, but no-one listened. The good news: massacres like this, and the Muslim atrocities that apparently provoked Tarrant, are still preventable—by ending mass Third World immigration. The bad news: Western elites just won’t do it. They prefer repressing the white host nations. But it won’t work.
In a peculiarly religious act of anathematization, Tarrant’s manifesto seems to have been largely scrubbed from the internet. This in itself shows how completely Cultural Marxist totalitarianism has displaced classical liberalism in Western elite ideology—none of this Brandeis-type nonsense about sunlight being the best disinfectant. Of course, VDARE.com will respect this taboo: we have enough problems with deplatforming as it is.
