It warmed my heart to read in The Wall Street Journal that Hillary Clinton is preparing to re-enter the Washington DC swamp from her deluxe exile in the woods of Chappaqua, New York, and make another run for the White House — though it’s hard to calculate how many porters in sandals and loincloths will be required to lug all her baggage around the campaign trail. Will hubbie hit the hustings with her? That would be rich. I can just imagine the pussy-hatted legions shrieking #MeToo at every stop. Surely there is no better way to put the Democratic Party out of its misery.

The post-election melodramas in Georgia and Florida grind on, despite the various rules and laws about deadlines for certifying ballots and accounting for their origin. What is a ballot after all but a mere scrap of paper, easily reproducible, and interchangeable. Sometimes, they make strange journeys out of election headquarters in trucks and SUVs, seeking fun and excitement, and they have been known to mysteriously turn up by the hundredweight in broom closets where they retreat to caucus. Only one thing is certain: the ballot fiasco is a billable hours bonanza for DC lawyers arriving on the scene to sort things out — which they may not manage anyway.

If the vote count somehow remains in favor of the provisional winners — Republicans Rick Scott, Ron DeSantis (Fla), and Brian Kemp (Ga) — you can be sure we’ll be in a frenzy of sore loserdom that will make the Medieval ergot outbreaks of yore look like episodes of Peewee’s Playhouse. If the provisional votes get overturned, the attorneys billable hours will quickly exceed the national debt, and we’ll find ourselves in a new era where the free citizens of this republic can‘t be trusted to the simple task of counting ballots, or even holding elections in the first place.

This epic confusion is of a piece with a prediction I made about what happens to government in The Long Emergency: it becomes impotent and ineffectual, and can no longer be depended on to carry out the simplest tasks. The process goes from the top down. At each step, the public loses faith that government can accomplish anything. The Trust Horizon shrinks away from distant authorities… the DC Swamp, the state capitals, and soon the people don’t believe anything or anyone they can’t reach by throwing  a rock.

And so we enter a new stage of collapse. It will be made very much more emphatically worse as the money issues underlying this American malaise unravel in the months ahead. The reason that nothing will be done is that nothing can be done about the country’s intractable technical bankruptcy. The wealth we assumed was there is a fiction and will be expressed in plunging asset values, especially stocks and real estate. And any attempt to “fix” that by the Federal Reserve and its TBTF handmaidens moving to stop losses will only redirect the destruction to the currency itself. When citizens trust neither government nor their money, really bad things happen.

This polity is too far gone in lying to itself for official corrections to avail. Sometimes the only corrective is sheer failure. At least it presents the option of starting over. Of course, Mr. Trump made the fatal mistake of claiming ownership of a “miracle” economy that is about to get stranded on the beach like a dying grunion. His inclination, I’m sure, will be to pretend loudly that nothing is wrong — even as the new model pickup trucks gather dust unsold on the car lots, and the “for sale” signs multiply on lawns everywhere, and the pink slips land at the cubicle work-stations, and the skeleton crews of waiters stand around the empty Olive Gardens and Chipoltles playing liar’s poker with their depreciating dollars.

Meanwhile, the new Democratic majority congress prepares to ramp up its longed-for multi-committee inquisition against Trump and Trumpism, and the Republican Senate will counter-punch with binders of criminal referrals against the superstars of the Resistance. C-Span will be livelier and more colorful than the WWE Wrestlemania round-robin, midget division.

Oh they are not going to do that b-g, it is far easier to come here and bash him in Cyberspace, where they take their cracks at we who support him are as well. Besides, its not like those people ever do anything anyway, they just like to cry like the babies that they are.

Next stop for your boy is assisted living, which by the looks of it isn’t too far down the road. He seems very concerned about deadlines for voters in the first part of his rambling. We’re talking about tens of thousands of last minute mail-in ballots from overseas. They all should be counted regardless of self imposed deadlines. And yes, they should all be authenticated as well.
JFK is a tired, jaded old white man that doesn’t like how the complexion of his country is changing-literally. But change it will as everything does. None of this should concern JHK in any case. According to him we are all doomed to an apocalyptic financial event leaving us all hunting and foraging for food. Anything else should be of no consequence in his scenario.

Put the blame on Jimmy Carter. It is his job to supervise elections in third world countries.

    • shotho November 12, 2018 at 10:57 am #

Now, Robert, that is good, even though I would not put all the blame on poor Jimmy. After all, how can one man be responsible for the legions of voters who don’t have a clue about what they’re doing? With such a degraded citizenry, what can we expect from ‘democratic’ elections? But, as we are constantly told, the vote has to be expanded to every nook and cranny; maybe even 16 year olds. We are getting what we deserve and we’re getting it good.

    • davidreese2 November 12, 2018 at 11:50 am #

I’d point out the Jimmy Carter has said that he could not supervise elections within the US because the US does not meet the minimal standards for open and fair elections that he required for overseeing elections in other countries.

      • Tate November 12, 2018 at 12:01 pm #

Trump has pointed out that the election in Florida is hopelessly corrupt.

        He tweeted:

“The Florida Election should be called in favor of Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis in that large numbers of new ballots showed up out of nowhere, and many ballots are missing or forged. An honest vote count is no longer possible-ballots massively infected. Must go with Election Night!”

Yes, the rest of the world is laughing at the stricken U.S. with its 3rd world electioneering, but this is just the way it is from now on out. Trump tells it like it is.

        • Tate November 12, 2018 at 12:38 pm #

As I said, the rest of the world is gloating & laughing at the stricken U.S. Note Paulo’s comment below for verification. It’s pretty sad. Trump or maybe Trump Jr. is going to have to get harsh with these reprobates.

        • pyrrhus November 12, 2018 at 3:37 pm #

And also AZ, GA, WI, MN, IL, WA, CA….etc. The USA is FUBAR, and the proximate causes are Democrats, immigrants, and insane election rules that allow anyone to cast a “provisional” ballot, even without ID, and people in some States to register to vote with only a drivers license.

        • gonetohell November 12, 2018 at 4:14 pm #

Trump would first have to know how it is before he could tell it like it is. Just how many misfiring neurons does it take to become a Trump era apostle?

Enough to understand that the judicial branch depends on the executive branch for infusions of new blood.

Maybe Florida could ask a Neutral Country to send poll observers for the next election. I’m sure Russia would be willing, and China certainly has the available manpower to get it done. 😉

          PS–
Janet et al, ‘manpower’ in the above sentence is meant to generically include powerful women too, as well as the 37 flavors of gender alternatives, real or imagined, that the Chinese might send to monitor our elections.

      • It’s astonishing to me how there are easily implemented solutions to the rube goldberg contraption that comprises us election technology and literally no one talks about it

        • Walter B November 12, 2018 at 1:46 pm #

Why would they change that which serves them so well and is so easily manipulated? Correction of the flawed system is just like “Term Limits”. Sounds good but absolutely, positively, no chance in hell of it ever happening.

So simple that when you mention it, people will think you are retarded.

          • Walter B November 13, 2018 at 2:30 pm #

Well we have been working that, the Get Rid of Incumbent Politicians or GRIP movement here for years but it is not very effective. The “Magic Line”, which is the top position on the ballot always garners a large percentage of the votes because of people who vote the “line”, and incumbents always make sure they are on it. When the incumbents are caught doing something wrong, illegal or very unpopular, it is possible to remove them at the local level, but at the county and certainly the state level, even multiple indictments do not hold a candidate back. The perfect example just happened last week here in NJ when 25 indictment Bob Menendez defeated first time candidate Bob Hugin because the “D’s” do the “D” and the “R’s” do the “R’s” and never the twin shall meet. Until we can get over this we cannot fix anything.

        • pyrrhus November 12, 2018 at 3:40 pm #

The easy fix is nothing but paper ballots, no election day registrations or provisional ballots, photo ID required, and both parties observing the counting process of every ballot…Democrats can’t stand any of that.

      • Paulo November 12, 2018 at 12:24 pm #

Hilarious comments. I was thinking about Canada’s elections. Somehow, in this gargantuan country we manage to not only get the votes counted by the next day, they are delivered (paper ballots) the day after by air to polling stations. I have flown countless locked and sealed ballot boxes to the nearest polling centre for verification from places too small they don’t even make it on the maps. Question: How hard is it to have a paper ballot scantroned and posted for results in 2018? Answer: It isn’t unless you are in a third world shithole country where the military is busy stringing razor wire and the press corp is under attack.

Christ, it’s falling apart down there.

Hillary won’t run. She’ll make some noise but she is toast already.

And if the Dems take these elections, who will be whining? Who already is whining? The Republican party has stumbled into the abyss AKA supporting Trump. I just want to see his tax returns and Junior idicted. The rest of the collapse will be cake icing.

        • Anon1970 November 12, 2018 at 1:13 pm #

Don’t be too anxious to see a US collapse. Remember what happened to Austria less than six years after the collapse of the Weimar Republic in Germany. A right wing dictatorship in the US would have very little trouble annexing Canada and terminating the flow of Alberta oil at Port Huron, MI.

          • Walter B November 12, 2018 at 1:49 pm #

A right wing dictatorship is exactly the greatest fear many of us have Anon. How is it that you are able to see history and learn from it? I thought they were working to prevent this from being possible. Great work, keep it up and never forget.

          • Tate November 12, 2018 at 2:03 pm #

Yeah, a right-wing dictatorship would be expansionist & Canada would be the first annexation.

A left-wing dictatorship of the ‘proletariat’ would be simply an internal cannibalizing affair before it eventually turned right-wing & expansionist & Canada would be the first annexation.

          • outsider November 12, 2018 at 3:56 pm #

            Anon,
Let’s see what Bolsonaro does with Brazil. If he makes things better for the average honest Brazilian, then a right wing dictatorship might be a good thing. When your country has become a cesspool it’s certainly worth a try. In 10 years or less, the US will be Brazil anyway.

          • aibohphobia November 12, 2018 at 4:56 pm #

Well maybe it WOULD be, but Canada is, by and large, completely invisible from within the United States. People in the US sometimes want to go up there and live, but no one in the US is even going to think about invading Canada.

Also, in the opinion of a US Marine I know who trained with them, the Canadian Military are complete and total Badasses in action.

Finally, if there were the slightest possibility of a US invasion of Canada, do you think that the Chinese, who own most of Vancouver anyway, would be willing to lend a hand to repel the invaders? You bet they would!

Do you think Russia would take advantage of the opportunity to ally with Canada in exchange for, oh I dunno, the return of Alaska? Or they could buy it back for the original sale price of two cents an acre. You better believe they would!!

Either of these two scenarios transforms the US’s longest foreign border into a hostile country with multiple indefensible and well-paved entry points.

War with Canada would be a completely crazy decision, followed swiftly by, not only chaos, but foreign domination, colonization, and wealth extraction of the entire US.

Of course, that’s not to say it won’t happen…

I guess I am able to connect the historical dots better than most people. Of course, most people aren’t interested in history, including some of our past presidents and maybe the current one. What I don’t understand is why more American Jews are not concerned about the bad state of the country’s finances. In my opinion, the Nazis would never have come to power in Germany in 1933 if the country’s currency had not collapsed in 1923 followed by massive unemployment with the onset of the Great Repression a few years later.

How many billions of dollars do the billionaires in the Republican Jewish coalition need to be happy? Why did they lobby so hard for more tax cuts? Why do the members of AIPAC think that the US Congress should continue to appropriate billions of dollars every year that the government does not have, for Israel’s benefit? The Jewish billionaires on the Forbes 400 list are perfectly capable of subsidizing Israel if they choose to do so.

How much longer can the US continue to spend money that it does not have to play the role of policeman of the world?

When William Shirer’s book on the Third Reich was published around 1960, the US was at the peak of its power and there was a fiscally responsible president occupying the White House. Eisenhower refused to support tax cuts until the World War II debt had been paid off. My how times have changed.

As a matter of fact it was Officer & Gentleman James Carter not immediately asking Congress to declare war on a country seizing our embassy & personnel (no shooting up front; betcha the situation got back to normal PDQ).

For encore, Jimmy’s America backed away from the Panama Canal protectorate, opening the door for another sovereign state operator who thereby obtained forward staging bases in the New World. Goodbye Monroe Doctrine… Carter’s lack of strategic acumen is still playing out, and will not end well!

Here and now at Homeland USA it remains to be seen if the agricultural branch rail lines are going to come back in time to avert Long Emergency/EMP event famine. William Forschen’s ONE SECOND AFTER is easy reading companion to the Kunstler series.

      • Eoin November 12, 2018 at 2:15 pm #

Forschen would have done well to consult Mr. Kunstler prior to publication, or even hire him as an editor.
One Second After is a “pot boiler” in the truest sense; I struggled with it for a few chapters and just quit.
Not even companionable as a bookend.

    Jim,

What do you see next if the dollar goes tits up?

The world might be handed over to crypto fanboys oozing by on skateboards. Won’t that be a fucking circus!

Worse than J.P. Morgan, the Fed and all the other ‘too big to fail’ criminals – we shall see perhaps.

    • shotho November 12, 2018 at 11:06 am #

Georges, you raise a good question for which there is probably not a good answer.
Personally, I imagine that the dollar is actually going to rise in the near future if global trade is to continue. The Russians and Chinese are trying to come up with an alternative but, for the time being, that is not possible. Gold will not be allowed to act as global currency, at least not at the present time. What is the dollar’s alternative; maybe a basket of goods that is dominated by the dollar, but how to derive a consensus on that? Debt deflation will actually work to benefit the value of the dollar as they become more scarce. None of this means that the dollar is actually worth what its touted to be; just that the alternatives are worth less at this point in time.

    • Epicur November 12, 2018 at 4:13 pm #

“What do you see next …”

I know you didn’t ask me, but the answer is so obvious. The world will divide into trade/military blocs according to the greatest interests and perceived threats of the various “nations”. With the US no longer able to play “World Police[man]” those with deep seated rivalries (India/Pak, Arab/Israel, e.g.) will begin to play hard ball with one another.

The task for the US (and China/Russia) will be to avoid being dragged into a general conflagration that leads to large scale nuclear war while the world attrits itself. Hopefully Russia and China are not trying to take over the world and hopefully we can recognize their limited goals* if that’s all they have.

*Russia – defendable (shorter frontier – which makes them a serious regional threat, not global). China – regional hegemony.

“[T]he skeleton crews of waiters stand around the empty Olive Gardens and Chipoltles playing liar’s poker with their depreciating dollars.”

Don’t forget all the people being laid off by Sears and KMart. Sears Holdings announced last week that the company is closing 40 more stores, 29 Sears and 11 KMart locations, which should shut their doors by February. Of course, that’s in time to get all of the holiday shopping done, including after-Christmas sales, but maybe not returns. Speaking of which, KMart will be open all day on Thanksgiving while Sears will open Thanksgiving evening. The stink of retail desperation is strong with this move. Also, as Monty Python would say, “Sears and KMart, we’re not dead yet!”

My local Chipotle does not have waiters. It reminds me more of my old high school cafeteria where for 35 cents, students could get a hot lunch back in the early 1960’s. These days, lunch at Chipotle sets me back about $8 but I am glad I have the money to pay the bill. If you are wondering what life in these disUnited States might look like in a few years, read the first few chapters of William Shirer’s “The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich”.

Now that I can see age 70 in the rear view mirror, I am not as concerned about the future, but relate more to the past. My crisis moment, if you want to call it that, came a few nights after Bush 43 formally announced his support for a marriage amendment to the US constitution at his February 2004 State of the Union address to Congress and the nation. I dreamed that I had been arrested and sent to a concentration camp on Treasure Island in San Francisco Bay. In my dream, it looked exactly the one at Thereisenstadt, a former military base in the Czech lands that had been turned into a ghetto/concentration camp by the Nazis for older and prominent Jews during WWII. Fortunately, I woke up before I found out what happened to me. In reality, most Jews sent to this camp either died there from bad living conditions or were sent on at a later date to one of the extermination camps in Nazi occupied Poland.

Now, almost 15 years after my nightmare, life is pretty good for me, which is more than one could say for millions of Americans who were hornswoggled into believing that their problems would be solved if only they voted for politicians who wanted to ban abortions and gay marriage. Hitler’s war against the Jews had been turned into a Republican-lite war against gay Americans and abortion doctors.

No, there are no waiters at Chipotle’s, one of my son’s favorite eating places. Why are you eating those starch-filled gut bombs at your age is my first question.

Sorry to hear about your nightmare. Bush43 was & is a total sh*t-stained explosion of another sort. He & his evil corrupt administration exposed the Repugnants for what they truly are in many of our eyes.

Hitler definitely had a war against the Jews. But whether there were systematic top-level efforts to exterminate the Jews has been seriously questioned in recent years. Revisionist historians have even been jailed for expressing reservations about some of the official narrative.

It’s a load of crap. The word holocaust means burnt offering to God. The Jews had to put their human sacrificing ways behind them. I agree Hitler killed some Jews. The rich ones and their children so that he could use their wealth to finance the war. But a systematic, industrial extermination- didn’t happen. It’s been proven it didn’t happen. It’s the big lie, like 9/11, like Apollo, like atomic weapons. If the government says it, it’s almost always a lie.

When they have laws saying you can’t deny the Holocaust, you can bet your sweet ass it’s a lie. They imprisoned David Irving, who has written extensively on the subject. David Duke has done some youtube videos on it that aren’t bad.

“Irving’s reputation as a historian was discredited when, in the course of an unsuccessful libel case he filed against the American historian Deborah Lipstadt and Penguin Books, he was shown to have deliberately misrepresented historical evidence to promote Holocaust denial.

“The English court found that Irving was an active Holocaust denier, antisemite and racist, who “for his own ideological reasons persistently and deliberately misrepresented and manipulated historical evidence”. In addition, the court found that Irving’s books had distorted the history of Hitler’s role in the Holocaust to depict Hitler in a favourable light.”

            en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Irving

Don’t bother lecturing me about the inadequacies of Wikipedia. It’s a common tactic and tedious. Go to the original sources cited in the article and then come back with some of that stuff called evidence. The article is heavily annotated.

Holocaust denial is not a crime in my country. But lying ‘historians’ remain lying historians within it and holocaust denial remains shameful, wherever the perpetrator lives.

My grandmother gave me a pocket bible that her father carried in WWII recently. He was a radio operator attached to Patton’s Third Army. (He was also a concert pianist, and when his superiors found out, they made him play for the brass whenever an opportunity presented itself).

She said the only time she ever saw him cry was when he came home from the war. They had a welcoming party, and he got drunk. Turns out he was part of the liberation of Buchenwald. He said the horrors they found were so bad, the American soldiers killed all of the German guards they could find. Hung some of them upside down from trees and lit fires under them.

Now, I don’t know how many Jews died in WWII. And I don’t condone the use of the WWII atrocities by Israel to excuse their own mistreatment of the Palestinians. But don’t tell me the god damn Holocaust was a hoax because you’re jealous of American Jews success, or miserable about your own personal failings. Its contemptuous, disrespectful(of the dead), and dishonest.

          • seawolf77 November 12, 2018 at 8:05 pm #

What is this evidence you’re talking about? All of the death camps were in the hands of the Russians after the war. All of them were in Poland. After the war there was a cold war. So every piece of “evidence” was presented through red glasses. Buchenwald was in Germany, and things get tough at the end of any war. What evidence do you have that the holocaust occurred? Skeletons? No they all went up in smoke. Ledgers? I’ve never seen any. Pictures of dead Jews being taken out of the gas chambers? Pictures of Jews being incinerated? WTF do you have. Nothing. Not a god damn thing except your pathetic righteousness.

          • seawolf77 November 12, 2018 at 8:34 pm #

Do you know how much energy it takes to turn a human body to ash? Do you know how long it takes? Do you know how many ovens it would take running 24/7 to incinerate 11 million bodies? Do you know how many they’ve found? Ha ha ha ha ha! That’s how many. And all the while the German army, navy and air force is running on fumes. They would deny their armed forces fuel and burn Jews. That makes a lot off sense. Go ahead and live in your dream world. It suits you. David Irving was never discredited. 9/11 had a commission of senior officials of the American government that came to a conclusion that is LAUGHABLE. The Warren Commission the same. Just because something goes through an official sounding washing machine does not mean that people can’t see the truth.

Seawolf, The bodies weren’t all burned in ovens, most were burned in huge pyres. Do a quick Google search for “Sonderkommando”.

The funny thing about modern Neo-Nazis like you, is that while you prattle on about the superiority of White people, you’re actually the dregs of White society. You lack any talent or initiative, and want to blame your deficiencies on others. You hate Jewish people because they are more accomplished than you and you’re jealous of their success. It’s humorous and sad and pathetic all at the same time.

It is to Mr. Kunstlers credit that his principled stand on free speech prevails over what must be a strong desire to delete your ugly comments. Here he is, a Jewish guy doing social commentary and shedding light on the biggest (resource) issues of our time, and he has to deal with a bunch of Neo Nazi commentary EVERY single post. Part of my family were interned in Japanese concentration camps in what was then the Netherlands Indies. Part of my family lived in the Netherlands under German occupation. I was raised on stories of the war and part of those stories talked about their Jewish neighbors being rounded up and put into railroad cars to concentration camps. After the war few came back, but those that did had horrible stories to tell.

            campbellmgold.com/archive_esoteric/hoess_testimony_1946.pdf

He was the commandant at Auschwitz for 3 years. He admits hundreds of thousands of Jews were murdered at that camp, and says Eichmann stated 2 million had been killed there.

Now, I’m done humoring you. My Grandfathers kicked the shit out of your heroes during the war. But its still a free country, so keep jerking off to some dead psychopaths if that’s what trips your trigger.

Der: So where are the Mountains of Ash that MUST be there if all this is true? Preliminary investigations found no such mountains. Needless to say, all further physical investigation was stopped. Mustn’t threaten the narrative that is helping to invalidate Western Culture and guilt trip Whites into wanting to collectively die.

Yeah starving people are hard to see. But the American soldiers who murdered the guards (one of Many war crimes) never said that starving men were all Jews. They didn’t focus on that. Why would they? Why is this idea so important to you? Would it make a difference if they weren’t? It would to the Jews….

Patton certainly didn’t believe any of this, but of course he died mysteriously before he could come home and yell about the savagery against the German People as he planned to. The German People were starved after both wars, in addition to starving “naturally” towards the end of WW2 as Sea Wolf said.

            Seawolf

I haven’t seen any evidence from you. You will recall that it was Irving who challenged Deborah Lipstadt and her publisher, and yet it was Irving who was found to be the liar. That, you see, is the advantage of proper publishers and libel laws, which don’t affect every Tom, Dick and er…David, who chooses to let loose his bowel contents in the more demented parts of the internet.

Now, if I had just accused someone of making judgements on the basis of emotion and not reason (I realise that none of the testimony at the Nuremberg trials would have brought a tear to your eye, but we can’t usefully comment on your personality type) I would feel I had to stick to higher ground than calling someone a “cheese headed miscreant”. Bit of an own goal, there, seawolf.

I’ll stick with ‘ignoramus of evil intent, though’. It doesn’t strike me as either emotional or abusive. Holocaust deniers qualify on both counts and have, significantly, made a choice, so the epithet is merely descriptive.

In the meantime I seem to have passed the baton on to Linda and KarlDehmann, who apparently have a closer interest in the matter than my merely ‘fellow-human’ one.

I look forward to your replies to them with both patience and interest.

          • GreenAlba November 13, 2018 at 7:42 am #

BTW Tate, please don’t lie. Nowhere have I advocated censorship. If you mean you want people to be allowed to deny the Holocaust without anyone saying anything to them, then we’ll have to reformulate the definition of censorship to mean censorship only of those who disagree with YOU.

On the other matter, please feel free to count all my posts since forever and then count the ones that (generally in the context of light-hearted banter when the subject is brought up by someone else), mention grammar, and feel free to present the ratio. You can do the same for Q if the mood takes you. And other random people who choose to correct people when I wouldn’t.

On the contrary, I’ve sat quiet while someone who claimed to be a teacher – I don’t even recall who it was – made three real grammatical and spelling howlers (not typos) in the course of a paragraph in which he was – wait for it – decrying the abilities of black students. Now that was funny. But I held my tongue even in such ironic circumstances, because outside of a joke, I think it’s ill mannered even to correct people with as little insight as that.

          • Walter B November 13, 2018 at 8:06 am #

It is an exercise in frustration bantering words with deniers GA, and I refuse to involve myself with such waste. Those of us who are old enough to have had family fight in the war and were blessed to be able to have listened to the tales of misery they brought home with them, we know. The task of denying history is an important agenda to promote for those who work it but it cannot be complete until those of us that have heard the truth are dead. I was especially fortunate in having been told the truth from men and women who live on both sides of the war. My favorite was my Uncle who co-piloted a Liberator and flew 26 missions bombing the hell out of the Nazi scum and unfortunately for them, hundreds of thousands of German civilians as well. I was even fortunate enough to know and listen to the tales of a camp guard who would walk 100 prisoners out to work the fields every day also with only his 8 round Mauser to guard them. He never lost one prisoner funny that.

Pay them no heed my dear, the spirit of Herr Goebbels is strong in them, and there was only one way to shut him up.

Thank you Walter. I have no Jewish connections whatever (except for one girl in my class all the way through school whom everyone, bar no-one, loved to bits. I didn’t even come across anti-semitism in any form until I was almost an adult. Not a word from the pulpit of my church that suggested anything other than that the Jews were pretty much our cousins.

I too had relatives who fought in the war (my dad was in a reserved occupation so wasn’t allowed to – he was designing blast furnaces as his contribution to the war effort!). Thankfully none of them died – we had to wait till Vietnam for that.

I don’t know if it’s my age, but for me this particular denialism strikes at the heart of all that is decent. I realise it’s pointless trying to change their sick minds, but if no-one says anything to them, other impressionable people – especially the younger generation – are going to give credence to this vileness. And yes, the thought that there will soon be no-one left to actually witness to what happened means there will be more of the same.

One detail I always remember from ‘Shoah’, which I haven’t watched for a long time (I saw it on TV when I lived in France in the 70s but I have it at home now), a woman who had been in Mengele’s experiments described how her new-born baby was taken from her and her chest was tied up so that she couldn’t feed it – just so that they could log how long it took the baby to die. I’m enraged now just thinking about it.

These people CANNOT be allowed to get away with allowing it to be forgotten.

Thank you for your support, though, Walter, much appreciated.

Part of the problem Alba is that I think most people now have trouble trusting anything “official”. Like Mr. K said himself. I find myself not really believing anything that anyone in an official capacity has to say, or I should maybe qualify a bit more, most things for sure. Your generation may have had more security in the things that officials said due to the seemingly more secure nature of the world a few decades ago. The question becomes, who do you really trust? At this point, I will believe it when I see it when it comes to anything a person says. Until then my assumption is that officials only serve the masters who pay them, and that isn’t the taxpayers because taxpayers don’t make civil servants millionaires.

KarlDehrmann: “It is to Mr. Kunstlers credit that his principled stand on free speech prevails over what must be a strong desire to delete your ugly comments.”

Karl, I agree that JHK is extremely forbearing about these things. But what’s more likely in this case is that he’s just not reading the comments right now. That’s a reasonable conclusion since Holocaust denial is his one, glaring red line. If he sees you cross it, he will indeed give you a warning, silence you, and/or ban you from the site. He’s done it before.

But certain people, being the specimens they are, can’t help themselves. Here’s the dishonour roll so far.

Tate: “Hitler definitely had a war against the Jews. But whether there were systematic top-level efforts to exterminate the Jews has been seriously questioned in recent years. Revisionist historians have even been jailed” etc. That’s a mighty close shave you got there, hoss! You must have skin like a baby’s bottom.

seawolf77: “What evidence do you have that the holocaust occurred? Skeletons? No they all went up in smoke. Ledgers? I’ve never seen any. Pictures of dead Jews being taken out of the gas chambers? Pictures of Jews being incinerated? WTF do you have. Nothing.” Here we have rejectionism as clear as it gets. 10/10 JHK would slap this down.

Janos, naturally: “So where are the Mountains of Ash that MUST be there if all this is true? … Mustn’t threaten the narrative that is helping to invalidate Western Culture … [T]he American soldiers who murdered the guards … never said that starving men were all Jews … Patton certainly didn’t believe … of course he died mysteriously …” Pukes gotta puke.

You can’t talk people out of their bullshit, not when they didn’t talk themselves into it to begin with. It’s up to them to become better people. They’ll do that when that learn to frame their opinions to fit the facts, not the other way around.

            prorevdotcomslashwannseedothtm

& if not, what are the other original sources?

If it is, then a great deal was conjecture or inference about what was discussed. For example, there is no mention of “gas” or “zyklon B” in the minutes. But an exchange involving this subject is to be found in the dramatic reenactment.

The closest I can find to a suggestion of genocide is this passage in the minutes:

“Under proper guidance, in the course of the final solution the Jews are to be allocated for appropriate labor in the East. Able-bodied Jews, separated according to sex, will be taken in large work columns to these areas for work on roads, in the course of which action doubtless a large portion will be eliminated by natural causes. The possible final remnant will, since it will undoubtedly consist of the most resistant portion, have to be treated accordingly, because it is the product of natural selection and would, if released, act as the seed of a new Jewish revival (see the experience of history.)”

So the “final remnant will… have to be treated accordingly.” In conjunction with the previous statement that “doubtless a large portion will be eliminated by natural causes,” I think it’s reasonable to assume a high likelihood that a planned genocide was being discussed based on this text.

Nevertheless, it seems to me desirable that portions of the canonical holocaust narrative should be open for reexamination, that there shouldn’t be suppression of legitimate objects of historical enquiry & that legitimate investigators shouldn’t be demonized as “deniers.”

“For example, there is no mention of “gas” or “zyklon B” in the minutes. ”

You don’t need to look for it in the minutes, The guy who sold it to the SS to kill Jews was executed just after the war for knowingly doing so.

Give up your craven mission. You’re an embarrassment to decent people.

I’m of the wrong political persuasion, and not amenable to social reeducation. I’m a baby boomer besides, and thus too old to contribute much. At this point, I worry that it will be decided we’re not even worth wasting a bullet on and will be simply pushed into a hole and covered with dirt while we still live.

I shuffle around kind of aimlessly with an odd sort of low level, nonspecific anxiety nagging at me all the time. I know way too much history for my own peace of mind. I’m thinking of getting a passport while the getting is still good.

        • Tate November 12, 2018 at 12:45 pm #

Where would you go? Latin America? Fiji? Austria or Australia? Canada? I can speak a little Spanish so I’d probably just head to Uruguay & hang out on the beach.

          • draupnir November 12, 2018 at 1:08 pm #

I have been considering Belize or one of the Caribbean islands that sell citizenship. My funds are not unlimited.

          • Janos Skorenzy November 12, 2018 at 1:08 pm #

Man does come from the Tropics in some sense, so we are drawn to these beaches despite our fair skin. But at least our Ancestors knew how dangerous the 3rd World was because of its dusky hostile inhabitants. Uruguay is probably best because it’s largely a White country, with little real culture. Just a generic White country with Whites from everywhere. Not too hot either and not far from the more “cultured” and dangerous Argentina.

          • Tate November 12, 2018 at 1:51 pm #

I used to correspond with a guy from Belize who lived by himself out in the jungle & made a living from collecting tropical plants to sell on his website. He was super paranoid about the bush blacks there. He had set up a palisade compound sort of Kurtz-style with trip-wires, punji pits, booby traps, etc. He was heavily armed with guns, spears, machetes & so on & slept like a cat. He was interested in acquiring gold dinars from the Persian Gulf States for some reason, but I couldn’t help him.

I’ve visited Dominica (not the Dominican Republic), which is an unspoiled tropical paradise. It is an independent nation & has hydrothermal resources. It is 99% black but they are reasonably civilized & were never enslaved so they have less resentments. But they will take advantage of any white person & you have to pay a lot of bribes to get anything done.

Some parts of Argentina should also be considered, some cities at the foot of the Andes, not B.A., however.

          • Tate November 12, 2018 at 2:12 pm #

Also, the sale of ‘citizenship,’ draupnir, is fraught with peril. It won’t protect anybody.

          • Janos Skorenzy November 12, 2018 at 5:23 pm #

Tate: I realized I had been conflating Dominica and the Dominican Republic, so I looked up the former. It has a long and turbulent history of conflict between the three powers and a later a long difficult struggle for civil rights by the Blacks. I’m not sure where you got the idea that it hadn’t – but it’s interesting that the Blacks are less resentful. Maybe because they have full control now with few Whites?

White Nationalist Don Black was involved in the aborted coup by Mercenaries who had little or no military experience, lol. His son has gained fame by betraying White Nationalism, a Judas extraordinaire.

            en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dominica

I saw on a food cart that Mauritius was the more prosperous country in Africa. So I looked it up. It’s over a thousand miles east of Africa and east of Madagascar. Hinduism is the majority religion with a strong Chinese presence as well. Now it begins to make sense. Someday I will try that Mauritian food…

          • Tate November 12, 2018 at 6:01 pm #

Yeah, that’s why I said “(not the Dominican Republic)”.

I read a book on that attempted takeover by white mercenaries. Can’t remember the name of the book. It was a comical botched operation. It might have worked though since Dominica is essentially the town of Rosseau.

I think the thing that distinguishes Dominica from many of the other Caribbean islands is that the blacks there were never slaves. The island was too mountainous for a plantation economy, IIRC. But it has had its share of troubles, like any other place.

Personally, I’m not planning on vacating to any of these places. I’ll stay put.

          • hmuller November 12, 2018 at 7:56 pm #

All this talk of a Caribbean retirement should take into consideration what happens if the US dollar gets wiped out in a Global currency reset, along with every other world currency.

Financial paper assets based on someone’s promise to perform may not be as solid as people assume. When burdensome debt is wiped clean, hey look, there goes someone else’s assets.

You can sit on a pile of gold bullion, but good luck moving it from here to there legally. Once there, you have to defend it from the locals who will be hungry and blaming the Gringos for the mess, All such problems are solvable, but require some thought and planning.

Sears has been a joke for a long time.
      Bezos has won.
he has a grocery where there are no cashiers.

Amazon is testing a grocery store in downtown Seattle that lets customers walk in, grab food from the shelves and walk out again, without ever having to stand in a checkout line.

Customers tap their cellphones on a turnstile as they walk into the store, which logs them into the store’s network and connects to their Amazon account through an app.

The service is called Amazon Go. It uses machine learning, sensors and artificial intelligence to track items customers pick up. These are then added to the virtual cart on their app. If they pick up an item they later decide they don’t want, putting it back on the shelf removes it from their cart.

The Seattle-based company calls it, “Just walk out technology.”

the mark of the beast awaits.

I work a few blocks away. The place is like a concept car. Nice sign on the outside but I don’t know who goes there. It’s a storefront in an old industrial area that is being gentrified by high end furniture stores. A rock climbing place opened not far away recently. The only people living within miles of the place are homeless. They can’t afford Amazon Fresh prices. The storefront is in the corner of an old Sears store that was built in 1915. The building is now Starbucks headquarters. Amazon has a small space.

To use this store a person would have to drive from where they live crossing railroad tracks and an interstate freeway, or use a water taxi and Uber, crossing other tracks.

A concept car, nothing under the hood.

After sending investigators to Florida and Arizona, Trump is not afraid to leave the country, which, according to my theory, means that the part of the Deep State with which he concluded the Big Bargain supports him and that extra bulletin boxes that came from nowhere, violates the agreement, and violators must be punished.

So maybe the Democrats will not have a majority in the Congress, and those who brought boxes of bulletins, “which came from nowhere,” made a big mistake and they would be charged with treason – a crime punishable by death, which greatly contributes to candor honesty during interrogations by the competent authorities.

Moral corruption always leads to financial collapse, that is a certainty. Though I’m not so sure we should equate this blatant corruption with collapse. This blatant corruption is very very long running, and, in fact, it is a national tradition going back to at least the early 1960s and probably much much earlier.

      Tammany Hall – 1880’s, 1890’s; National Bank – 1820’s, 1830’s; John Hancock smuggling, 1770’s.

Let’s face it, corruption is a built-in character trait of humanity that goes back to at least Sodom and Gomorrah and further. If there is a god, it would be a miracle that He has put up with us for so long.

        Indeed.

But there is a part of humanity that is better educated, and thus, knows better. You are part of that humanity, Bill.

Brazil is relocating its embassy to Jerusalem. There are billions of others thirsting for your education, Bill, and they are receiving it.

The evangelicals are our Hebrew brothers. They instinctively know this, just as the millions of Anusim know it.

Which makes me think of an original poem for here! One in which the lines end prematurely, naturlich! And with a T.S. Eliot type ending!

[Spoken] He went away and you hung around

Until ISIS came to town, then you bugged out
        And ran away in fright!

My jihadi’s back and he’s got a wedding ring!

I’m sooo gonna laugh while he’s chopping off your head!
        (Al-lah-ack-bar my jihadi’s back)

(Hey, you know he loves a good fight!)
(And, he knows that you’re a Shiite!)

Have you ever heard of Julia Moore??? The Sweet Singer of Michigan? There used to be a website that had her works on it for free, along with commentary. I am looking for it, but in the meantime, try not to cry over this sad poem:

Lament on the Death of Willie
          by Julia Moore

Willie had a purple monkey climbing on a yellow stick,
          And when he sucked the paint all off it made him deathly sick;
And in his latest hours he clasped that monkey in his hand,
And bade good-bye to earth and went into a better land.

          Oh! no more he’ll shoot his sister with his little wooden gun;
And no more he’ll twist the pussy’s tail and make her yowl, for fun.
          The pussy’s tail now stands out straight; the gun is laid aside;
The monkey doesn’t jump around since little Willie died.

Chris Martenson said there are problems and there are predicaments. Problems have solutions but predicaments have outcomes. Our debt, private, national and otherwise is a predicament. A very bad one. The outcomes are already afoot and will worsen. The collapse of politics is one outcome. It will get worse. All the blather about candidates and upcoming political theatrics is useless bullshit. Consider your personal predicament because the outcomes are going to kick collective asses.

Let’s assume for argument’s sake that the fictional “wealth” conjured by the Fed through its counterfeiting operation is actually real, with a solid footing in the real world. Let’s then consider California, one of those blue states that really shove it in people’s faces, standing tall and smirky and superior every day and every way. Well, maybe they ought to put some of this money where their mouth is, because after all, they’ve got Silicon Valley with its uncountable trillions, they’ve got Hollywood and its bursting bags of loot, they’ve got the inordinately wealthy in mansions (some of which are burning fiercely as we speak, but no big deal, they’ll get re-built) along the Pacific. And they’ve got the Kardashians.

And with all that money, they still have Blacks and Hispanics among them in a seriously degraded state, there’s homeless crapping everywhere and addicts leaving diseased syringes all over. How can it be this way in a state that tells us that they’ll have sanctuary cities for the world’s woebegone? What about all these people right there already that they aren’t helping?

Where I’m going with this is that Democrats and progressives in general are all talk. They couldn’t give a shit, least of all for those already living in dire straights right underfoot.

So, what comes of it? It’s like Herb Stein said, if something can’t go on it won’t. It stops. And when it stops, what comes of it are new ways of doing things.

It might start with eccentric long-beards who start saying hokay, enough of this, this is hopeless, so we’re headin’ out into them thar hills. And so they pack up the hound and the missus and the ankle-biters and they make the trek out. It’s not as if it would be the first time we’ve seen this, it’s happened before in history when civilizations collapse, the folk in no longer tenable towns and cities move into the hinterlands, settling around water sources or defensible hill-tops.

Can you picture it? Family-groups abandoning messed up coastal places like LA and San Fran and heading out and forming go-it-alone communities in the boonies, maybe leaving the state altogether?

    • SoftStarLight November 12, 2018 at 12:24 pm #

I think maybe Christopher Hitchens is among the best people to educate you about the ACTUAL record of morality among religious people compared to non-religious people.

    Really, go for it….
    I ll ‘go for it.’
Christian or Chris was a fat, angry, boring drunk.
Mother Theresa outshone him. Even the hindus in kalkutta loved her.
And I am not a Catholic.

    • GreenAlba November 12, 2018 at 12:06 pm #

Mother Theresa was an utter fraud.

      • nickel November 12, 2018 at 2:00 pm #

What is your definition of fraud? She was a catholic and she meant it?

        • GreenAlba November 12, 2018 at 2:23 pm #

          No.

        • GreenAlba November 12, 2018 at 2:51 pm #

Sorry, I should have clarified. Mother Theresa was canonised on the basis of an incident (I don’t know if there were any others) whereby a woman allegedly held a medallion of MT against her body and was thereby cured of her illness – again allegedly.

It was in fact confirmed by the woman, her family and her medical carers that she got well following standard treatment for her ailment.

Such things are not nothing in societies where some people actually have to be persuaded to see a genuine doctor rather than to rely on mumbo jumbo.

And that’s without going into the evil antics of refusing destitute people contraceptives so that you have more of them to be ‘saintly’ around when they end up on the street.

          • nickel November 12, 2018 at 5:12 pm #

Knowing nothing of the incident you are talking about, she has no input on her own canonization. The process starts after death. So that most certainly cannot make her a fraud.

And not providing contraceptives to people does not make anyone a fraud. I don’t know whether you ever provide contraceptives to anyone, yet I would not call you a fraud if you do not. As I mentioned, opposition to contraception is actually the considered opinion of the catholic Church.

            Anything of substance?

          • GreenAlba November 12, 2018 at 9:26 pm #

I should perhaps have rephrased that as ‘represents a fraud perpetrated by the Catholic church’.

          • GreenAlba November 12, 2018 at 9:32 pm #

If you claim to be helping the most desperate in countries where people cannot afford to feed their families, and you tell them they mustn’t use contraception, I would submit that you are a fraud on some level.

It is well established that the way to alleviate the worst poverty in such situations is contraception, small families, healthcare, and education for women.

          • nickel November 13, 2018 at 12:51 am #

Mother Theresa was not “claiming” to be helping the poor. She was actually in the thick of it. Unlike some atheist progressive scum like Christopher Hitchens, who devoted a good chunk of his life to a) argue for the Iraq war that made hundreds of thousands of dead and helped fill the Baghdad morgue to overflow with corpses and shattered a country, and hang around swell guys like Paul Wolfowitz and b) malign people who were actually getting stuff done. Of all things to devote your life to. Not loving your neighbour, but arguing for war, and writing rancorous books about how terrible people who selflessly devoted their lives to helping others truly are.

She was busy taking care of the wretched of the earth, lepers, children of the alleys of the slums, people no one else would touch with a ten foot pole, feeding them, opening dispensaries and mobile clinics, attending their final days. It’s not like she was providing healthcare or anything of the sort. And it also meant opening and running orphanages, and, yep, schools. They were probably generic-school schools, not specifically education-for-women schools, so I guess this does not count.

To some people, all of this still means she is a big fraud unless she also provides abortions on demand. And instructs kids to become hedge fund managers, like Jesus no doubt would have. Fuck those people.

          • GreenAlba November 13, 2018 at 7:19 am #

“To some people, all of this still means she is a big fraud unless she also provides abortions on demand. And instructs kids to become hedge fund managers”

          • nickel November 13, 2018 at 1:31 pm #

OK I went into hyper-drive and this was uncalled for. But I am completely exasperated with the progressives who feel the need to show their supposedly superior informed opinion by poo-pooing Mother Theresa. I read the arguments by Hitchens and their ilk. So much hogwash. So much desperate clutching for arguments. I am sure that effective altruist techno-billionaires would construct dazzling state of the art swiss clinics, contraception and corporate world-class management included, for the teeming indian masses, if they ever got off their pimpled behind. Which they don’t. So it is up to people like that catholic peasant from Albania to do the best they can instead, gathering quite the folk admiration. That seems to be what drives Hitchens’ resentment. Why oh why is it that so much admiration is bestowed on that primitive, peasant hick so dumb that she actually believes in God? When they, brain the size of a planet, write brilliant pamphlets that are ignored by the populace.

As happens depressingly often, folk wisdom got it right. The intellectual got it wrong.

        Or worse, taking ‘em off.

I’m entirely in agreement with you about Mr Hitchens’ erstwhile lackadaisical style and somewhat thrown-together sartorial preferences. The chewing gum also annoyed me a little, I must admit.

However, as one well acquainted with the halo effect, I prefer to pay attention to what people are saying, not whether they’re saying it wearing a bishop’s mitre, a wimple, or even a three-piece suit.

And I forgive him, partly because he died before his time, and partly because he’s had to witness an awful lot of apologetics for disgraceful things done by people and institutions that didn’t do what it said on the tin.

Malthuss called him angry. We should all be angry at what made him angry.

That all depends on taste, Malthuss.

He does certainly dress better, but one should not judge the book by its cover. He talks sense on many things, I don’t disagree.

I love Chris Hitchens because he was an outspoken opponent of male genital mutilation – a cause near and dear to my heart. The video where he shamed a Rabbi, who said that his son cried more at his first haircut then when his foreskin was ripped off (aka his bris), was priceless.

            He died far too soon.

I wonder if Hitchen’s mother’s suicide contributed to his alcoholism? Sadly, he had his demons.

It wouldn’t surprise me, hm, although he was an adult at the time. He did look as if he had a few demons, but he didn’t pretend to be anything he wasn’t.

And he paid dearly for his dependence on the sauce.

It’s bizarre, isn’t it, that people will argue (as I would myself) that one shouldn’t allow people to make decisions about e.g. sex-change operations while they are still minors, yet here we have people taking it upon themselves to chop off babies’ bits that they presumably believe god gave them without so much as a ‘by your leave’. Such is human logic.

        GA,
We must somehow convince black Africans to stop having so many babies, if that is at all possible.. This may well be the worst problem in the world today. As their numbers swell and exceed the carrying capacity of their countries, it’s no wonder that millions of them have set their sites on Europe, then it’s on to the USA and Canada. It is NOT racist to point this out.. Bill Gates has acknowledged it. “The Camp of the Saints” was prophecy.

BTW, thanks for backing me up on my circumcision comment. To those who say the US is not a backward, barbaric country, I just point out our 50+% male genital cutting rate, as the rest of the advanced civilized world has largely abandoned it.

        • GreenAlba November 13, 2018 at 1:59 pm #

I don’t disagree with you, outsider.

I would say the Middle East too is in the same situation. But they revere big families, as do all the Middle Eastern religions (in fact all religions probably have done since we had fertility goddesses!). And the women (at least among the least educated) have no power over their own reproductive choices in very many cases. (Asma al Assad doesn’t have 10 children!).

I’ve seen women in ‘developing’ countries say they have to hide contraceptives that they’ve got from a clinic from their husband. Having lots of children proves he’s a man.

And I’ve seen others whose clinics – which provided free contraception – have had to close because their funding has dried up following Trump’s insistence that any clinic that even provides information on abortion – even if it doesn’t remotely carry out abortions itself – must not be funded.

Sometimes you have to compromise to get the job done. I know it’s not America’s responsibility to fund contraception in poor countries, but look at the money that goes under the counter to the Saudis.

We all know – or should know by now – that the best way to alleviate poverty in poor countries is to educate women and provide them with basic education and healthcare for their families, including contraception.

But if we went to an arms fair we’d see where the big money is spent.

The Catholic Church has been buggaring our children for 2,000 years. Does anyone really believe they will ever stop? It goes all the way back to the Greeks and then Rome. I mean maybe they executed Socrates for being a pedarest, but I’m pretty sure it was legal in Rome, although not common. The Whore of Babylon, the mother of harlots and all the abominations on the earth. Come out of her.

Thank you for the link, malthuss.

Abuse by those acting in loco parentis has to be taken seriously.

Also, though, this is an interesting point from your document that people tend to forget:

“Child sexual abuse occurs predominantly in domestic settings. A smaller but significant proportion of incidents occur in organisational settings such as schools. ”

So, I guess we should also be careful of those who choose home schooling, since abusing parents might welcome the opportunity to keep their kids out of sight of those whose job it is to monitor their wellbeing.

        • Sean Coleman November 13, 2018 at 7:37 am #

My understanding is that abuse is much less frequent in the Church than in the population at large, including schools.

          themediareport.com/2012/10/09/teacher-abuse-scandals-continue/

Statistics are of course very unreliable and likely to be greatly exaggerated no matter what group you are talking about.

“The Whore of Babylon, the mother of harlots and all the abominations on the earth. Come out of her.”

I’m not sure if there’s an unintended sentence split there or if you’re summoning out an evil spirit, but this kind of nonsense doesn’t help anyone.

I’m anything but an undiscriminating fan of the Catholic Church, but it contains PEOPLE, good ones and bad ones.

The good ones have done a lot of good, but arguably would have done anyway, even if they weren’t Catholics. It is just as likely that good people are drawn to what they perceive as the good in Christianity as it is that they are made good by being Catholic. Chicken and egg stuff.

What the evil ones do has to be brought into the light, but tarring all Catholics with the same brush is stupid. And while I don’t hold with its premise that those not within its fold – or even some related fold – are going end up in an everlasting sulphurous pit, I think making blanket statements suggesting the Catholic church has done nothing but evil in a temporal sense is ridiculous and defeats sensible arguments about real abuses and hypocrisies.

Switzerland is very expensive, but very clean. Come to Scotland. It is less expensive but windy pavements can lead to localised, but usually temporary minor litter issues 🙂 . Not in the countryside, thankfully.

          • GreenAlba November 12, 2018 at 1:34 pm #

It’s not really that bad, the litter. Only occasionally and in the odd challenged town centre. Windy places do take more work to keep the pavements clear, though. And every day is not actually windy.

I totally believe that you are fun and cheery – one of these days, eh…

I recall, when my kids were small, actually telling some young guy off in a bus shelter for dropping an empty cigarette packet on the ground at his feet, then an empty match box. He grunted that there wasn’t a bin and moaned at my suggestion that he take it home the same way as he’d brought it.

I wouldn’t dare risk it now. What a difference 30 years makes.

Yes, Blacks are deadly serious about littering. And would punch you out if you said anything. Saw a video a Police officer telling a Black girl to pick something up she had dropped. She did it only after being told repeatedly and with the greatest reluctance. Then she dropped it again when she though his back was turned. He arrested her and she fought like a wildcat. As I said, it’s immensely important to them to be able to “spread” themselves like this. A kind of creativity perhaps – like vandalism, eh?

Yes, Tate I’m glad you have taken up the cause of this small and noble Beast. We should make it a symbol of Western Man – unwilling to be domesticated but domesticated nonetheless by lawless sexuality.

In contrast, the native red squirrel is making a comeback in Ireland. The more aggressive grays are also less cautious and falling prey to some kind of native weasel or ferret recently re-introduced.

          • GreenAlba November 12, 2018 at 3:41 pm #

I believe the red squirrel is benefiting from the introduction of pine martens. At least in this country. I can’t speak for Ireland.

Sorry to hear that he was no Prince Charming. Women do have real complaints. As a Contrarian (a Rebalancer), I always tend to bring up that which is being ignored – in this case, the oppression of Men. But I try not to forget the validity of the opposite pov. After all, that people do that is what made me a Contrarian in the first place.

The boy who said the Emperor has no clothes and that there’s an eight hundred pound Gorilla in the room that everyone is studiously ignoring – that’s me. Not Kyle though.

          • GreenAlba November 12, 2018 at 8:10 pm #

Re littering, SSL, I’m not arguing with you. Your place is your place. I only meant that Janos leapt in with a comment about black people after mine and mine had nothing to do with black people. White people can be damned messy too.

And sometimes it’s just the poorest areas where things look worst. In different countries those will contain different people. People with more of a stake take more care, not that I’m excusing bad behaviour.

No need to call me Ms Alba – it makes me feel like Miss Elly from South Fork and I have no grandeur of any description 🙂 No title is required. Previous appellations on here include Alba, Greenie, GA and probably a few rude things I can’t remember. A vous le choix…

          • GreenAlba November 12, 2018 at 8:21 pm #

Sorry, SSL, I thought the ex was an old flame and you were married to someone else. Or single and that I’d imagined the children from an older comment. Not that I would have asked. But I wouldn’t have said anything flippant about seeing the back of him if my mental picture had been more accurately constructed 🙂 . Good luck. It’s not easy when you need a clean break psychologically but circumstances mean you can’t have one.

          • SoftStarLight November 12, 2018 at 8:46 pm #

It’s a Southern thing Alba but I am glad you relinquished me from my own instinct to refer to you that way. My mom would be proud I am minding my manners lol. In regards to litter, I agree that White people can be messy. I have lived around some. White people though are much easier to talk to about neighborly complaints IMO. And sometimes correct themselves if they see someone trying to do the right thing. Not saying Black people do not do that but there appears to be general behavioral differences.

I don’t think she will. What’s the point? She lost to a black man and then she lost to a con man. You think the trifecta will be a lesbian? The only real unknown is how large will Trump fatigue and Buyer’s remorse be? Let’s face it this guy is exhausting. It’s almost like we’ve living in Trump years now. He’s looking OLD too. Wait till 2020. He’ll be looking ancient. I think missing the cemetery is the first sign of how tired he is. And that press conference, my word. No one will ever say Trump’s savoir faire, that’s for freakin sure. It’s like ebola cupcake.

“His inclination, I’m sure, will be to pretend loudly that nothing is wrong — even as the new model pickup trucks gather dust unsold on the car lots, and the “for sale” signs multiply on lawns everywhere, and the pink slips land at the cubicle work-stations, and the skeleton crews of waiters stand around the empty Olive Gardens and Chipoltles playing liar’s poker with their depreciating dollars.”

If Olive Garden discontinues its all-you-can-eat salad and breadsticks, it would lose 75% of its business. That would be a sad day 🙁

Rock the Boat against Block the Vote, what a ridiculous game of pathetic garbage our system have degraded into Jim. You do well to point it out for all to see. Yes, ballots are easy to reproduce and anything distributed in paper form can easily be re-directed and even sold for profit, especially mail in ballots as I witnessed first hand only last week. Why there is even a single person out there that thinks that computerized voting cannot be tampered with stuns me, especially when the same simpletons cry tampering fouls when they do not get their way.

You say that Faith in the system is eroding, although why any of it exists still is a mystery to me. That wouldn’t be the same “Faith” that currency and our financial system is based upon, would it?

Yes our “government” is impotent and ineffectual, except of course for the participants still being able to skim off gazillions of dollars in paycheck, bribes, and theft to support the exorbitant lives they lead. Yes they can still take care of themselves quite well, and they are still doing a pretty damned effective job of keeping us all attacking each other and not them. How long they can keep that one up is also beyond my abilities to understand.

I am always nonplussed as well over the stink that is made over Roe vs. Wade and the “right to choose” since Americans already are granted the rite to choose. They choose their own truth, their own genders, their own, realities. You would think that the right to choose your own reality would have solved all of their problems in the “rights” area, no?

Yes the only corrective action that can now be implemented is sheer failure and waiting for that to take full effect is an exercise in patience.

We are a nation of two parties, though democrats or republicans is a meaningless and deceptive description. We have one party of those that are drilling large holes into America’s soft underbelly and another party trying its damnedest to stuff enough cotton balls into the bloody holes to prevent the nation from bleeding out. If a company hired a new employee and tasked this person with solving the company’s problems and the employee, one on board came out and declared that instead of doing that, the employee would spend all of it’s time working to destroy the owner, how successful would that company be? Why Americans allow this to be conducted at the national level is a sad and a sorry statement about what kind of idiots inhabit this land. No one ever went broke underestimating the ignorance of the American public, did they?

Great work as usual Jim, thank you.

You raised them up despite the warnings of the Old South – whom you charitably referred to as “Crackers”. Now they spit on us and savage our System. You can’t say you weren’t warned. You were.

So you are advocating a return to slavery, deportation, or perhaps genocide is more your style? What is your solution my chronic picker of nits?

        • Janos Skorenzy November 12, 2018 at 3:50 pm #

Slandering White Southerners is picking nats? Al contraire, it lead to the War of Northern Aggression. You remind me of Emerson, a supremely intelligent and decent man who went crazy about the South and became a beast. His old friend Thoreau was amazed at his descent into hatred and war mongering.

Meanwhile Mexico harries America with knife and gun to paraphrase Thoreau.

          • Walter B November 12, 2018 at 5:34 pm #

I was slandering Lyndon Baines Johnson, and his political comrades Janos, do not try to extrapolate that into what it is not. And do not attempt to speak for me, you already have enough people here that have little use for you. Perhaps you mistook my kindness for weakness. That mistake has already been made by many who lived to regret it. I have always given you more credit than that for intelligence, do not disappoint me, please.

          • Janos Skorenzy November 12, 2018 at 6:00 pm #

No, you weren’t just talking about Johnson. In a careless moment you revealed a deep animus against the South and by extension, the natural pride they have in themselves. The lack of just This trait, dooms White America. The America the Victors build – your America – just isn’t viable long term. Ditto the Europe the Allies build after WW2 as Macron’s anti-nationalist speech makes clear.

I notice you resist the extremists a bit, but this is common. All revolutions start by sounding moderate, and then those who bought the earlier message get shouldered aside. The White Southerners who were uncompromising were right then, and they’re right now. And I remind you that both Jefferson and Lincoln wanted the Blacks GONE.

            Behold:

            November 10, 2018 at 5:58 am #

Ah but Tate, Jack and Bobby both championed the desegregation of the South and racial equality even while the democratic “leaders” like George Wallace fought back tooth and nail. They embraced Martin Luther King as a man of peace (funny (not) how all three were murdered), and it wasn’t until the cracker democrats under Lyndon Johnson did the Welfare enslavement of the blacks begin. Under today’s definition of racist and white supremacist, all that a man (and apparently women cannot BE racist) has to do to be labelled as one is to be white. Now I would never claim to be “proud” to be white because I had nothing to do in choosing my skin color, but I can say that I am proud to keep the memory of these great human beings alive no matter how much those that would defame us all smear everything that we have any pride in at all.

Thank you for not mentioning the womanizing, for all politicians (of both sexes) do it and Bill Clinton and Obama were dopers on top of it, although Barry did a much better job of keeping his personal life quiet I must say. Thank you BO.

          • Walter B November 12, 2018 at 10:23 pm #

So you are suggesting that the solution to this problem is to eliminate blacks from American society? How are you planning on accomplishing that, herr obst? You know, you do enough whining and complaining to compete with a middle school full of cranky teenagers, but I cannot recall any solutions for the problems discussed here being brought to the table by you. Correct me if I am wrong, please. What exactly is it that you do besides bitch and moan?

          • elysianfield November 15, 2018 at 11:10 am #

            Walter,

I believe that there IS a solution to America’s societal issues with blacks. Reparations coupled with repatriation. One can give his birthright away…why not sell it? A hefty chunk of money along with a ticket to any country that would accept the money (and the individual attached)…in exchange for their American citizenship. Decent, hard working blacks who have a stake in our culture would avoid that deal…but the disenfranchised, the criminal element, those with little to offer our country but their contempt, would accept. One hundred Grand…Wakanda awaits!

The money? A mere trillion would cover the first wave.

            Madagascar comes to mind….

          • elysianfield November 15, 2018 at 7:07 pm #

            Walter,
I see an ad campaign for the Reparistas…

“Go someplace better…with a pocket full of cheddar!”

            “Next year Wakanda”

“If you like Detroit, you gonna LOVE Mogadishu….”

        • Tate November 12, 2018 at 5:32 pm #

Slavery wouldn’t pay in these times, all the physical work is done by machines. So that’s out.

Deportation would be too expensive. That’s why they didn’t take that option before the War of Northern Aggression.

The ‘optics’ are bad for genocide so I’m thinking nopers on that too.

Voluntary separation. Now there’s a thot.

          • Walter B November 12, 2018 at 5:52 pm #

Well they do have wage slavery, but greed will compel the masters to find a way around that. Work for food perhaps complete with “free” lodging at a local FEMA camp maybe. The problem with the institutional system of slavery that once existed in this land and was most recently ended in 1865 is that once they were here, even though emancipation was achieved, the ramifications of that freedom will continue to plague us all until one of us is no longer around, period. Bad choices always have severe consequences. It is the Rule of the Dogs.

          • SoftStarLight November 12, 2018 at 11:47 pm #

            Yes, separation please!!!!

          • Walter B November 13, 2018 at 9:29 am #

I understand that separating the races is probably the only way to achieve “peaceful” cohabitation SSL, but I feel certain that it cannot be done in our current system, don’t you agree? Separation would require a society similar to the Israelis and the Palestinians and listen to all of the grief they have to put up with and still they have violence. Yes I do not believe that there can ever be peace between the races. I am convinced that those in charge are attempting to deal with this problem by inter-breeding the population of our nation into one giant mixed race in order to deal with it and that is even more frightening if you ask me. People seem to be buying into it, but what they will do to those of us that do not comply, well, I wonder, don’t you? All I know for sure is that it is not good, it is getting worse, and the government is just as impotent as James Howard Kunstler has said.

          • SoftStarLight November 13, 2018 at 11:01 am #

Yep I definitely agree in the conundrum that you put forth. How it can be done without serious problems I just don’t know. But it will definitely need to happen for real stability – I guess if we ever really get stability. The elite in mostly all of the Western countries are eagerly attempting to engineer a demographic change since it is White people who are most disobedient to the elitists plans and protocols. If they can do this through mixing they will. Eventually I suspect concentration camps may do the trick for them.

In my darkest of visions I see the solution as a Strong Man who will come and will have to do some things we haven’t ever seen before to get the job done. He seems to haunt me quite a bit these days…

          • Walter B November 13, 2018 at 11:50 am #

So SSL are you a believer in the Bible, for that is exactly what is predicted to happen? But believe in It or not, it would appear that what is foretold will one day unfold. It certainly would be the logical step, and modern technologies would make total control possible for the first time since the dawn of mankind. Total control by the One has always been his goal. Interesting times, but do not fear for it is counterproductive.

          • SoftStarLight November 13, 2018 at 3:51 pm #

I am Walter. And in that vein don’t be fooled by the first one because the second one is the real deal. But who knows if a lesser one will come before them both. Either way, I agree with you that fear will not really help anything. Preparation to the extent possible is the best path to follow IMHO.

          • Tate November 13, 2018 at 8:07 pm #

By separation, I mean dismantling the govt civil rights apparatus that forces us to live & work together. Then people would separate naturally. They do anyway to the extent they’re able.

The PTB may be attempting to intermix us but in the long run they cannot succeed beyond creating a kind of caste system here with the lightest skinned on top.

          • Walter B November 13, 2018 at 8:42 pm #

Well dismantling the civil rights apparatus,Tate has even less than zero chance and far less chance of being done than imposing Term Limits. Or disallowing insider trading by the Congressmen & Senators. So its a non-starter.

Do you have any solutions in mind that MIGHT even stand a chance of being done, considering that it is paid off scumbag politicians that you have to rely on for change?

Nope Tate nothing and I mean NOTHING short of a Coronal Mass Ejection wiping out Earth’s grid could ever change the way the sellouts fail to work. Talking about things that cannot ever happen may make for better conversation than sports, but I do believe that when THEY see it, it tends to make them have even less respect for the few of us that qualify. Only real solutions:

            1) Global cataclysm

            2) THEY become able to make more profits from crashing our financial system than by keeping it the way it is.

            3) Military assault from combined enemies on US soil or against US naval forces (in a big way).

            4) One World Government (antichrist).

There really are no other options. If you think I may be mistaken, my ears are open.

          • SoftStarLight November 13, 2018 at 8:44 pm #

          • SoftStarLight November 13, 2018 at 8:49 pm #

Never say never Walter. It seems impossible for sure. But reality is stranger than fiction and things don’t often go as planned. Trump got elected, etc.

          • Tate November 13, 2018 at 10:06 pm #

Yes, SSL, who would have imagined the fall of the Soviet Union, speaking of reality being stranger than fiction. You’re too young to remember it — you’re about my son’s age — but it came as a complete shock to everyone at the time. I remember vividly telling my mother that “we called them the Evil Empire but we shouldn’t pride ourselves, because the world may be saying something similar about us some day.” Well, that day has arrived.

I think the particular eventuality of overturning affirmative action & all the rest is quite possible, Walter, it just seems impossible to imagine under present circumstances. In fact, it has to happen because the sexual revolution also has to be overturned for our civilization to survive. They’re one & the same, a revolutionary attempt to overturn the natural order & put in its place a radical agenda that defies centuries even millennia of human experience.

          • Walter B November 13, 2018 at 10:59 pm #

Which agenda, I wonder, will the one to be promoted? All of them with little to no hope for success and no one to promote them. I would think that under the circumstances, whichever agenda prevails is going to be a very scary entity to behold. Whichever it is, it will bring much sorrow to many. It can be no other way now. There may be many ways to be able to stare into the storm once it is upon us and negotiate it’s force, but I know of only One. May you all have success in finding the way.

          • SoftStarLight November 14, 2018 at 12:47 am #

Tate, you are correct IMO that all of these changes have to occur together. It’s almost like we need to go back to the way things were pre-1960’s. The way things are going now we may very well have a collapse of sorts before we can sort it out. Either way, I think society will move toward more natural cultural arrangements by popular demand or by a forceful hand.

          • SoftStarLight November 14, 2018 at 12:59 am #

Walter you a correct that there is a spiritual path. We need to get our society back on track parallel with it. Hard to do with so many different ethnicities and religions trying to occupy the same place. The diversity is literally ripping the country apart. Alas, you don’t get any “points” for poor White kid pics. It’s all about the points. The question then becomes, Why don’t you get any points for White kids?

The impulse is natural and good in itself, in moderation and towards the right object.

One woman adopted a chimp and neglected her own children because being a chimp mom brought her fame. Her children ended up utterly loathing her and the chimp.

An intriguing thought that – – Hillary Rodham Clinton considering again running for the Presidency?

The answer to that and a possible bladder control issue is easy:

    Depends.

Concerning the recurrent election shenanigans on Florida’s Gold Coast; the Democrats should be very proud of, elections supervisors/political operatives, Susan Bucher in Palm Beach and paragon of probity and professionalism, Broward County’s Brenda Snipes. Can’t seem to get the job done under any technology or circumstance, can they? Incompetent and incorrigible that can’t be changed. These two, and other persons put in charge of elections, unable to deliver a trustworthy result should be horsewhipped. Yes, horsewhipped.

A punishment you can really believe in.

a prediction I made about what happens to government in The Long Emergency: it becomes impotent and ineffectual, and can no longer be depended on to carry out the simplest tasks. –JHK

Hyperbole much. The federal government carries out very complicated tasks every day. Millions of pieces of mail delivered, millions of Social Security checks printed and mailed, millions of direct deposits made into the accounts of people who post here. And without errors, without fail.

The problem is that state, county and local governments are not as efficient as the federal government. Voting conducted by local governments should be subject to minimum federally guaranteed standards, like the 10 minimum standards ACA required for health care insurance. Citizens should receive a paper receipt for their vote. If Walmart can generate a receipt for buying cat food, it can’t be that difficult to provide a verifiable receipt for voting.

    • Exscotticus November 12, 2018 at 5:03 pm #

As much as I detest agreeing with janet, there really ought to be more national standards when it comes to voting.

For example, why have 50 different kinds of proprietrary voting machines? Why not have one national open source machine that is well known and well vetted? This way, when bugs or security issues are discovered, all machines can be patched at once.

      • outsider November 12, 2018 at 6:14 pm #

I guess it has something to do with Federalism and States Rights. Washington already has way too much power over our lives. The only election that is federal anyway is for POTUS, which is actually 51 separate elections.

        • Exscotticus November 12, 2018 at 6:57 pm #

          >>> The only election that is federal anyway is for POTUS

I guess it depends on your definitions. I consider congressional elections federal in nature, because the winners serve in the federal government. That alone could be the legal basis for standards. Not to mention the Commerce Clause, which is used to justify control of anything that crosses state lines. And sometimes stuff that doesn’t cross state lines!

          >>> Washington already has way too much power over our lives.

Not just DC—all government. But I don’t see an advantage to election machine diversity. If even one state’s machines get hacked, it undermines the POTUS election. I don’t think liberals would accept another hanging chads fiasco, with SCOTUS deciding on, say, Trump.

        As an example;

Rat’s Heaven, Rat’s Hell, Plant Breeder Michurin and the War to End All Wars

In 1989, the population of the Russian Federation grew by a million people a year, and in 1991 the population of the Russian Federation began to decrease by a million people a year, and so for 15 years, and in just these 15 years Historical Russia, which coincides in territory with USSR, lost at least 60 million people.

Compared to these practical, irrefutable data from the UN demographic division, everything that attributed to Red Terror and Solzhenitsyn Gulag Archipelago or even creativity on a similar topic by Dr. Goebbels seems to be a description of a children fight in a sandbox.

And when they tell you that these demographic losses are connected with the lack of women’s desire to give birth – you should know that one of the organizers of this nightmare is in front of you.

And most of all I am annoyed by references to the drop in the birth rate in the same years in Western Europe and the USA. The Golden Billion has ceased to reproduce itself by building a Rat’s Paradise on its territory, and to famine and plague ala the 90s in Russia, all living creatures respond with enhanced and accelerated reproduction.

    Rat’s Paradise:
    youtube.com/watch?v=0Z760XNy4VM

Plant breeder Michurin received seeds of apple hybrids 7 years after cross-pollination, watering the seedling with salts and acids to which the plant, feeling that it was dying, responded with premature fruiting.

And in Russia of the 90s, not only famine and plague was implemented, but also one of the plans to build a Hell on Earth called the Cannibal Rat. And this plan worked, because the victims of terror and the Gulag were mourned, and those who were victims of black Realtors of the 90s are still considered to be stupid and not fit for market economy because of their inability to participate in steeling state and public property.

But the worst thing is that in Russia a class of Cannibal Rats was bred, who, having concentrated huge funds in their hands, cannot do anything else with them but to improve the system of economic cannibalism, and these Rat Kings have now become brazen enough to demand compensation for lost profits from domestic sales of petroleum products at domestic prices.

And history teaches that until the state physically destroys them or at least takes away their economic power, they will not allow anyone to just make their living, simply because from their point of view the desire to make ones living by labor is a sign of a sub-human who denies their desires and therefore offends their deity, to whom they have dedicated their whole lives.

    • hmuller November 13, 2018 at 12:07 am #

One reason the Russian population declined in the 1990’s was the breakdown of their health care system, or so I read.

The US has become a country ‘not worth caring about’ not because of its sprawl and throw-away urban design addiction, but because of its people, and the people in its institutions.

The ridiculous gang-like binary political system and its roving gangs of black clad useful idiots getting in fistfight demonstrations around the country.

Its corporate and opinion driven click-bait media.

A people that allow the aforementioned media make lowly actors, comedians, and celebrities the final arbiters of thought. Case in point: the awful WaPo ran a lead story about a 2 bit sketch comedian’s heartfelt apology. This is lunacy in anything but a culturally bankrupt society.

A country where people who work for tech giants, like Apple, sitting on a trillion dollars thanks to slave labor and extortionate pricing get to be sanctimonious because their CEO is gay and their commercials are somewhat progressive. And nobody calls them out for it. Nor do they call out Facebook that sells your life, from likes, photos, friendships, tendencies, and habits to other companies. Nor Google that ‘curates’ your information from news to merchants to thought. They sell privacy.

Why else would one feel a sense of karmic justice with California and soon the whole sh*tty place engulfed in flames.

So far, it looks like Kyrsten Sinema will win the Senate seat here in Arizona. Trump won the state and won Maricopa by a 3% margin, the county that now appears to be giving Sinema her big boost. Clinton won Pima County, home of Tucson.

Things are changing quickly as the TWATs (Trump Weary And Tired) continue to grow, and the relentless Democratic attacks continue.

Hillary is probably the best of the field (to win), considering the likes of Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, Cory Booker, Eric Holder, Andrew Cuomo, etc. Warren might pose a real challenge, if she could just shake that injun who almost took her scalp and be tougher with the tomahawk. After two more years of chaos and confusion, Hillary may become Athena, Aphrodite and Artemis rolled into one.

With the Dems controlling the House, things are going to get even more complicated and sticky for Trump. He won’t be running in 2020, in spite of his ego. If by some chance he does run, it’s crash and burn time. Also, the vengeance factor for Hillary could turn her into a forty y/o cougar, pouncing on the besieged bashibazouk like a ravenous beast.

She’s old, she has fallen. Can she get up? I say yes if she’s healthy enough, adds to or maintains her 3 million vote plurality, and because Wisconsin and Michigan just went Democratic in the race for Senate and Governor, two states that voted Trump in 2016. Another Trump state in 2016, Pennsylvania, just voted in a Democratic Governor and retained a Democratic Senate seat. Need I say more? I didn’t think so.

As Janet likes to say, Trump is toast. If he runs in 2020, he’ll be burnt toast. But Trump likes winning, and he won’t face the agony of a monumental defeat. Against you know who.

Dreams are dashed and hope is hollow.

    Remember, I’m just the messenger.

Outside of Allegheny and Philadelphia Counties, he’s HUGE here.

Seems? Sad fact is, the bisexual Congresswoman, Green Party activist went to the Middle and cooled McSally’s jets. McSally opposed Trump in 2016, said he was unfit for office. She also lied about supporting coverage for pre existing conditions.

Although no one could picture her in one, voters saw through her like a flimsy nightgown.

And, Trump supported her. And, Trump is, choose one:

        Toast
        A fat, stale baguette
        Moldy bread

CNN has put Kamala Harris as #1 in their power ranking as frontrunner of the democrat party for 2020. Last month, it was Elizabeth Warren.
The reason given by Chris Cillizza and Harry Enten, who wrote the article, is that Harris is 54 and a non-white woman, who “showed her prosecutor’s chops during the Kavanaugh hearing” (paraphrasing).

no legislative or actual congressional experience, or executive experience. She is a middle aged non white woman who is an attorney. These are the over riding factors as to why she ought to be President of the US.

Wow, how low can the bar get?
actually, if CNN is writing this, then what it tells me is that she will represent multinational corporations who want to write global trade agreements, and an end to the tariffs. That’s what that tells me.

    cnn.com/2018/11/12/politics/2020-rankings-democrats/index.html

    • pequiste November 12, 2018 at 7:39 pm #

The Purpose of Life …is Life, amen.

The sole purpose of life, and therefore our only human purpose may simply be, life itself. That, upon reflection, would appear to be quite enough. The life force does have its urges though, lots of them, it would appear. After countless eons of self-replication along came sexual reproduction, life had apparently gotten to be in somewhat more of a hurry. Life then pursued bigger and better forms of itself as mobility, size, vision etc. ensued over time.

Vision was very unique and a promising end in itself, but life appeared to desire a different platform with which to fully employ this new sense. Many prototypes came and went, and eventually on the scene appeared humankind complete with a newly acquired awareness. Did life, with this move, express desire for an ego to admire itself or, more positively, to express itself? Why else create a platform embellished with consciousness? Then, alas, something went very wrong with life’s dedicated pursuit of life? Human behavior. We know large portions of the recent history of our species and it’s not very good. Considering our known history, can we even begin to significantly amend our ways? Life demands a timely answer.

If and when life decides we have exhausted all possibility of further usefulness, and our excesses overwhelm life’s other vital interests, do we then sever the thread with life? Should not we begin to tug ever more gently at this tether to lessen our risk? Does life even care about the fate of us, its creature? Probably not, countless other species have traveled along on life’s quest, prospered to a degree and vanished. Will we join them?

Of course it is possible life may be providing itself with a non-life fallback to the dilemma posed by our misuse of awareness and consciousness. If humankind becomes suspect of probable catastrophic losses to many of its other progeny, life then may seek to substitute Artificial Intelligence for flawed human intelligence. We, ourselves, may rapidly be creating the instruments for our future replacement with life’s resigned encouragement. Life may value this tediously acquired awareness beyond all measure. More the pity for humankind.

Consider the star power that could be put on stage; Honda’s ASIMO paired with Sophia at the top of the marquee. Carol Channing eat your heart out.

Although all this theatrical musical magic won’t be without a few foreseeable speedbumps including Dolly as sex object –remember too that is also the name of a famous cloned sheep.

Additionally, trying to have an LBGTQ….sensitive and sanctioned musical about machine sex will also be under the klieg light of ANTIFA, The Southern Poverty Law Center, and the offices of Mayor Bill DeBlasio, U.S. Reps. Gerald Nadler and Ocasio-Cortez, who shall all object to the production opening on “The Great White Way”.

Are you sure you are not a famous Broadway personage masquerading as a girl reporter, Internet troublemaker, and CFNer?

“Government became impotent and ineffectual, and can no longer be counted on to carry out the simplest tasks.”

Precisely! Can you imagine, in 2018, the US Government successfully completing projects such as the Transcontinental Railroad, Panama Canal, or Interstate Highway System? By todays standards the Tran Continental Railroad would still be at the environmental impact report stage! Haha!

Still, there’s plenty of swag floating around. Obamas inked a $60 million book deal to write some lame biography (the greatest since The Autobiography of US Grant), some FB exec manuevered a $100 million buyout because the company fired him for supporting President Trump, and in MLB a few free agents — Machado, Kershaw — may sign $500 million contracts.

Fantastic amounts of free swag floating around here in the USA, yours for the taking! (if you’re in Sports, Politics, or Tech)

Yes, and wealth of and at those numbers for the small, selective few destroys the basis of wealth produced by labor at a human scale by making it irrelevant.

Socially we should never need to hear the words millions and billions unless we are talking about bacteria.

You sound old. Could you have imagined, a few decades ago, the word ‘trillions’ being bandied about freely, except perhaps in an astronomical context?

The currency here (Rupiah) has passed 15,000 / USD 1.00 so there is nothing special about a few billion.

In recent months I’ve even read speculation about planetary debt creeping up toward the – get ready for it – quadrillion point. No one knows and most do not care.

“This epic confusion is of a piece with a prediction I made about what happens to government in The Long Emergency: it becomes impotent and ineffectual, and can no longer be depended on to carry out the simplest tasks. The process goes from the top down. At each step, the public loses faith that government can accomplish anything. The Trust Horizon shrinks away from distant authorities… the DC Swamp, the state capitals, and soon the people don’t believe anything or anyone they can’t reach by throwing a rock.”

A prediction, made ages ago: Brazil’s present is our future. Small oases of wealth in cities surrounded by concentric rings of urban poor stretching out from the teaming urban slums to the rural destitute.

A veritable police state ruled by corrupt political factions where nobody believes anything or anyone because they’re too busy looking for their next meal or making it alive through the night.

When life is boiled down to a living structure, clean water, personal security, and a meal… well, the powerful don’t have you to worry about for starters.

and I might add California is quickly approaching what you describe, with a few hundred thousand super rich, English speaking whites in Silicon Valley and Hollywood, living in fortified compounds ringed with high walls, razor wire, cameras and armed security, and who travel in convoys (like whites in South Africa), surrounded by 100 million envious, grasping and poverty stricken, Spanish speaking Mexicans and Central Americans, always probing for soft spots in the fortifications, trying to get in and grab a piece of the good life whitey is hogging all for himself.

As for the hemmed in whites on the inside with sh-t eating smiles on their nervous faces and wondering what good their Mercedes Benzes, big bank accounts and 300 ft yachts are now, well he’s still jabbering about Diversity, egalitarianism, advocating even then for open borders and the Brotherhood of man, all men, even the Low Rider Mexicanos on the other side of the fence who would like to kill them all.

    Mr. Kunstler,

It has come to my attention that you were referenced in song title by a William Tyler, in his song, “Geography of Nowhere”. He plays a decent guitar as a former session man.

    youtube.com/watch?v=jx1l5W6YSMs&list=PLCX_SlmERpRNLk7fLmAlh9uOnqPBDcp7Q

He’s friends with a few former buddies of mine. (The great cultural war of 2016 sealed the “former” fates). He’s a sjw with a rich daddy who wrote some famous songs for country stars in the 90s. I looked into it a bit and he has referenced your books and shares similar apprehensions for the future.

    • BornToKillPeace November 13, 2018 at 2:01 am #

‘don’t see the reason I need mention he is sjw. Guess we’re at that stage.

I’ve become preoccupied in the last few years when looking at the arts in our nation of ongoing Weimarization; most young artists are not in their position because of their sometimes forable skills, but rather because daddy has deep social connections / money. I have trouble separating this consistent observation with the larger dialogue of decline. I enjoy the man’s music fair enough.

      • BornToKillPeace November 13, 2018 at 2:08 am #

that has almost always been the case in human history. ‘Guess I only find it odd (still) that class is the one barrier the sjw’s refuse to acknowledge. But hell, I’m a de-facto racist and oppressor due to my pigmentation.

You have lost me, malthuss. I am not a fan of abortion so I don’t get your reference.

It seems to me, though, that a good way to reduce the number of backstreet abortions would be to make contraception easily available and free. A country with a space programme should be able to do that.

Mother T would have had a lot to say about it, though. Unfortunately. And it would require some major social changes in terms of domestic relations between Indian men and women, so it’s not an easy one.

I do not submit that she never did ANY good. I submit that if you are living in an over-populated country and claiming to care about its most destitute citizens, refusing them contraception is not a persuasive argument for your ‘care’. I hope that is measured enough for you.

I have no wish to reciprocate anything like whatever it was you felt you needed to say to tell me what you think of me. I treat your comments discretely, if not discreetly 🙂 .

          • GreenAlba November 13, 2018 at 2:42 pm #

And you may be unaware, malthuss, that Christopher Hitchens was not a fan of abortion either. I don’t now what his red lines were or the range of scenarios that he may have felt justified an abortion, but he did not agree with the extreme end of the pro-choice spectrum with regard to viable fetuses.

The right has an unfortunate habit of lumping people together in terms of what it imagines they think and extrapolating a view on something from a view on something else. I have just done that myself in using the term ‘the right’, but there we are – the point remains valid.

          • akmofo November 13, 2018 at 8:45 pm #

            Tate,

All Western languages are an offshoot of Hebrew. There’s a very strong antisemitic bias in the study of etymology and this most people are ignorant of the linguistic connections to Hebrew. I mean, they even try to hide the fact that so-called “Phoenician” is Hebrew, when in fact “Phoenician” and Hebrew are closer to each other than British and American English. All ancient “languages” of the ancient near east were really dialects of Hebrew. This includes Sumerian and Egyptian. When Abraham traveled from the Sumerian city of Ur to Israel and then Egypt, he was able to communicate freely with all, because they all spoke the same language. The only differences were the scripts that they used for writing. In the case of “Phoenician”, both the Hebrew script and “Phoenician” script are identical.

The “Phoenician” who were of the Northern Israeli Hebrew Tribe of Dan gave rise to the Greek world that then gave rise to the Latin world that then gave rise to English world.

          • SoftStarLight November 13, 2018 at 11:38 pm #

I think you are being a bit dramatic with the insinuation of malice. It is just a simple question. English is an Indo-European West Germanic language but you suggest its roots are Hebraic. It’s just not true thats all. No malice. Why must you insist that basically Western European culture derives from the Hebrews? It’s a denial of the native cultures and an appropriation of those cultures IMO.

          • akmofo November 14, 2018 at 7:14 am #

Why do I deny it, because it’s complete madeup Nazi propaganda nonsense that has no basis in history. The same Nazi propaganda that you and Janis parrot and which is incapsulated in that pathetic sentence that you Copy & Pasted just a few posts above.

The Greeks are not Indo-Europeans or Aryan or whatever other nonsense shit. And neither were the Latins, who were contemporary of the Greeks. The Greeks themselves in their own mythology document that they are Danites. Even the name Europa is Danite. Rome was founded by a refugee prince of Troy during the the time of the Trojan war. Thus, both of these civilizations trace themselves to Northern Israel and the Hebrews — genetically and linguistically. It’s that simple.

Academia is full of indoctrinated idiots, who can’t think for themselves and who are not allowed to think for themselves. What you have is top down Vatican nazi mind control propaganda. It is lies and deceit motivated by malice, and you either are too stupid to see through it or too full of the same malice to care otherwise.

          • SoftStarLight November 14, 2018 at 9:12 am #

Ah yes, cultural appropriation by rootless cosmopolitans. That was no cut and paste job sweetheart ;-). You should try having a real conversation without all of the invective. I think it is funny that you call me a Nazi but at the same time I really don’t care. You seriously believe Academia, particularly Western Academia is full of Nazi propaganda? That in and of itself is a little gem given that Academia is fully onboard with the globalization and destruction of Western Civilization and White People generally. That is something the Nazis would not have supported so that undermines your argument. It is also curious that you believe asserting that indigenous Western European peoples are of, or partly of, Germanic origin as Nazi propaganda. However, I saw your little post celebrating the Mongols so I think it is clear what you truly think of Europeans. So stop pretending please. I would rather you just lift the veil and let us know what you truly think :-). That is a real conversation.

          • akmofo November 14, 2018 at 9:51 am #

Right, it’s not a Copy & Paste job because you are such an original thinker and these are your own words. I suppose it’s just coincidence that both Hitler and Stalin used the same phrase. Both were Vatican agents, as I’ve been saying for many many years.

As concerns your Germans, it didn’t even smell of Germans in Europe when the Greek and Latin civilizations were already fully formed. So if anyone should be labeled “rootless appropriators of culture” it is your fscking nazi germans.

You really do feel like we are drowning in Nazi propaganda??? Seems like communist/globalist propaganda is more like it. Yes you despise Rome and the Vatican that is clear but I am doubting they despise you. Pope Francis has done a great deal to harm Western Civilizaton. He might even side with Mongols if he had the chance!

There’s no difference between the Commies and the Nazis. They were both birthed by the Vatican to serve a dialectic of genocide. The same as the Democrats and Republican serve a scripted Fascist dialectic in the US.

The purpose of this fake scripted dialectic is to box you in or herd you towards a predermined outcome. In effect, you are a passive participant in a staged show.

Ok. BUT could it be that “they” just want us to believe that we are passive participants so that we don’t do anything. Inertia is already super easy for humans as it kinda comes naturally. It is hard to believe that Communists and Nazis are cut from the same cloth. Wouldn’t Capitalists also be cut from that cloth? Because it sounds like in your world view it is all predetermined so they must all be kinda the same. And in your view what would be the ultimate goals of the Vatican with all of the genocide?

Yes, they are all snakes of the same Vatican medusa — thuggish Russki Commies, murderous German Nazis, smiling American Fascists, they are all the same. The
