Historians of the future, huddled around their goose-fat lamps in muddy woolen cloaks, may cite this as the month that the Kardashian Dreamland formerly known as “The USA” finally lost its collective mind.

Submitted for your approval, as the late, great Rod Serling (senator from The Twilight Zone) used to say: this week’s Russia-Russia-Russia hearing on Capital Hill. I caught the final hour of this circus when freshman senator Kamala Harris (D – Cal) was hectoring Attorney General Jeff Sessions about his “contact with Russian Officials” and had to be reprimanded by the chair for her rude behavior.

Note: it’s now deemed illicit for US government officials to talk to Russian diplomats. I wonder what would happen if government officials in other lands decided that it was improper to talk with US diplomats. The Democratic Party seems to be building a case that the world would be better off without diplomats cluttering up each other’s capital cities. Hey hey, ho ho, Di-plo-macy has got to go! Now that’s a most progressive idea! Apparently, AG Sessions riled Senator Harris by pointing out that the Soviet Union collapsed nearly thirty years ago — a typical white privilege thing to say, right?

Next up was Senator Mark Warner (D – Va), Vice-Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, who grilled Sessions about Russia’s electronic warfare capability. Say what? First of all, wouldn’t Senator Warner find more enlightenment on the subject by calling the Secretary of Defense, or the top military brass, or the NSA Director to the witness table? Does he know where the duties of the US Attorney General begin and end?

Secondly, Is there anybody in this country with an IQ above room temperature who thinks that the USA is not similarly disposed to carry out electronic warfare? Or that all the advanced nations of the world are not toying with internet intrusions into each other’s cyber space? Perhaps this is a manifestation of the political neurosis called American Exceptionalism, the idea that we’re so unlike people in other lands that they might as well be space aliens. (A sweet idea for a new Twilight Zone episode.)

All this idiocy suggests that the Russia meme is losing its mojo and the forces dedicate to dump Trump might have to look elsewhere for some legal ground to stand on. For the moment, they’re veering into the darkling woods where obstruction of justice lives, a Blair Witch Project of politics, where any old assemblage of broken twigs is a sure sign of the lurking beast —  but perhaps that’s exactly where witch-hunting takes you.

Personally, I still believe they’ll run him over with the 25th Amendment, which allows for simple removal of a batshit incompetent executive without the pain-in-the-ass rigmarole of due process. You just get a consensus of the highest officials in the land to agree that guy has to go, and they get him gone, and, in this case, you get yourself Mike Pence, a tranny-like Church-Lady with a hard-on for the Koch Brothers. That’ll get the country great fast, I’m sure.

Then, of course, there was the gunning down of House Majority Whip Steve Scalise and others on a Virginia ballfield by a disgruntled Bernie Sanders fan, of all things. Is it hyperbole to say that this incident had the tone of a first shot in a new civil war? Even the hysterical elements over at CNN rushed to put out the very brushfires they had been kindling by broadcasting the Thursday night news against the backdrop of the annual congressional charity baseball gamed held at the Washington Nationals ballpark — as if the sore-beset people of this dissolute land might be stirred from their anomie by the comforting sound of wood on horsehide. Summer’s not quite officially here yet, but who feels like dancing in the streets? It’s more like wanting to hide behind the nearest trash can.

This cross-eyed Bernie socialist must be a piss-poor shot. From what I have read he had a dug-out for a position and a rifle. Proves to me that Dems can not shot for shit. The republicans got their ass beat in the game anyway.

    • routersurfer June 16, 2017 at 12:04 pm #

Punching paper is not the same as moving targets. This Dem is trained to shot moving targets ON the move. Your brush is a bit wide. His politics I feel is less important than his feelings of hopelessness. Some people will lash out, some will give up. I plan to dig in. Back to the reloading bench.

      • Ghung June 16, 2017 at 12:30 pm #

Yep. I decided to watch history play out from the cheap seats some time ago, and continue to make as much of my tiny world from hand as I can. It’s not like I can affect the outcome of this crazy game anyway, even as it is ‘tied up’ in the bottom of the 20th inning. Just because my society has, indeed, gone bat-shit crazy doesn’t mean I have to. Nobody wins this contest. As Mad Max said; “When we can’t fix things, we go insane“.

        Never liked crowds much anyway.

      • My Point of View June 16, 2017 at 3:16 pm #

routersurfer, when 23 million people living in hopelessness lose their ACA and Medicaid lifelines the bullets may well start flying, and it will be the GOP in the crosshairs. Can they not see it coming?

Are the SOP suckasses so blinded by allegiance to the Kochs and the wealthy that they will risk it all for the bankrupt ideology of trickle down voodoo economics?

Governor Brownback’s Kansas “experiment” of tax cuts generating sustainable prosperity for all has failed there, as it does everywhere. The Kansas GOP restored KS tax rates over the Governor’s veto.

The GOP Senate is playing with fire.

        • My Point of View June 16, 2017 at 3:33 pm #

goddamn auto correct. meant G O P not SOP.

        • libertysghost June 16, 2017 at 4:21 pm #

I live in Illinois…tell me what you think about “tax hike experiments generating sustainable prosperity” and I’ll show you my failed state. That career statists (don’t care how they party-label themselves) decide to raise taxes and give themselves more of other people’s money (by force) to buy favors and power, proves nothing to a thinking man.

And…”their ACA” they can’t afford and can’t use? That ACA? I love it when people claim to speak for 23 million people but haven’t really spoken to one of them.

        • shotho June 16, 2017 at 8:49 pm #

Right! This Brownback dude should know better than to try to give the people some of their money back. Doesn’t he know it’s all supposed to go the welfare and warfare states. Poor, dumb Republicans!

          • sharonsj June 17, 2017 at 6:45 pm #

The Witchita Eagle says “The benefits of the tax cuts went primarily to the wealthiest Kansans.” You must be a poor dumb Republican.

      James,

I note you’ve seemingly adopted Trump’s nonchalance in dismissing unanimous reports by ~14 U.S. intelligence agencies that “the Russians” hacked key computers and meddled in our elections. However, Putin himself has recently admitted that someone in Russia has been hacking Demo Party headquarters and Podesta’s computers and WikiLeaks then released those stolen emails. (Putin just denies that he or his government had anything to do with it). More seriously, you have misstated the allegation that it was wrong for Trump officials to meet with Russian diplomats. Nobody is making that argument. What is being decried is that Trump officials have consistently lied about (sometimes under oath) and obfuscated all content of their meetings with Russian diplomats, bankers and oligarchs. Come on, Jim. This should be right up your alley! Have some patience, these type of investigations take time, but given the seriousness of the threat (to not only our democracy, but democracies around the world), I have confidence they will strike pay dirt. (Sorry, I couldn’t find the way to reply directly to your editorial, so just used the first reply button).

What is your definition of a ‘shill’?

          • InDemoVeritas June 16, 2017 at 2:19 pm #

            Not OP, but:
One who is paid to zealously front a certain topic.
Originally, a shill would hang out in e.g. a retail store, “shopping and buying,” or in a café window at opening, so the place is not empty. At a medicine show, the shill is in the crowd and buys the first bottle of New Century Tonic, smiling and happy the whole time. Also see clacker.

No ad hominem, you are what you are. Honest exchanges are not possible with entities who are made up of many individuals working around the clock in shifts. Such entities do not need sleep. Entities such as you can comment 24 hours a day and bring far more energy and resources to the discussion table than a genuine individual possibly can. Anonymity gives power to the powerful and makes the surveillance state invincible.

What did I miss? As I read Janet’s comment, she is simply answering a rhetorical question with a remark that to me says “let’s not overreact, one guy used an AR-15 against innocent bystanders two days ago—the other 99.999999999% went unused.” Like what we tell our children (and ourselves) to reassure them when someone shoots up a school somewhere. Is there another interpretation of her post?

        • malthuss June 16, 2017 at 1:04 pm #

You missed the 1000s of posts before that, from ‘Janet’.

There are a lot of times that we regulars here piss one another off either intentionally or inadvertently, but for the most part I do believe that the bulk of us try our damnest to get along fairly darned well with one another. That individual however, was downright angry, argumentative and frankly a royal pain in the ass. Our host is running a for profit site here and not only does he have a right to refuse to serve alcohol to those that appear to be drunk already, but should also be encouraged to kick off miscreants who could cost him paying regulars that simply have had enough bullshit from an angry loser.

          • Petro June 17, 2017 at 9:34 am #

Walter: Janet “was downright angry, argumentative and frankly a royal pain in the ass.”? More so than someone like, oh, say, Janos? Janos, who week after week infers that blacks are some kind of sub-humans, women are castrating bitches, and Jews are a greedy tribe?

Wow, she must have been a real piece of work… maybe I should go back and take another look at some of her posts (when I have absolutely nothing better to do, which will be—never).

How hypocritical that the self -proclaimed, righteous warriors against hate-speech, i.e., the mainstream media preach anti-Trump hate speech 24-7, spread lies & propaganda, and foment violence.

Since election night the Powers That Be have utilized every trick and defamation against Trump to overturn the vote. Is it because they love us little people so much they want to protect us from the orange monster? Or perhaps he threatens the deep state’s interests in ways we should consider – maybe involving the D.C. cult of high ranking pedophiles of both parties.

More paranoid horse manure about government secret societies. We don’t need secret groups in the government to whittle away Constitutional rights and social cohesiveness, Congress by action and inaction is doing a fine job of that already.

And to the right leaning people out there. Why was it OK to impeach Bill Clinton over lying about consensual sex but going after Trump for trying to obstruct an investigation is a “witch hunt?”

No witch hunt here. The guy is an oafish, dimwitted, incompetent, embarrassment that should be removed by any means practical.

Rich and powerful people once met in secret on December 23, 1913, when congress was in recess, and gave us The Creature From Jekyll Island, otherwise known as the Federal Reserve and it’s the gift that keeps on giving. So far, we’ve been given income tax, 2 world wars, a major depression, whatever it is we have now, and the value of our fiat money has fallen by around 93% – inflation is a stealth tax (or theft, if you prefer).

        • malthuss June 16, 2017 at 12:57 pm #

Yes, as Best Selling author Harry Brown [Libertarian Presidential candidate] wondered, ‘What wealth and good could we have if not for taxes’—those are not his exact words.

          Federal reserve
Federal Income Tax [brought in as a temporary measure]WW1.

        • michael June 17, 2017 at 11:49 am #

Don’t complain. The real accomplishment is that you still have the same money. Where I live money has become worthless and been replaced by new money several times over (got something to do with losing wars).

The roman currency also fell in value about 90% in the span of 100 years and for them it was harder to pull that trick off.
Shows remarkable restraint on part of the Federal Reserve system.

Perhaps, but a penis is never just a penis. By its very nature it is more than just an organ. Thus it has a tendency to overflow its ontological banks and appropriate other things – like cigars.

I thought at the time that the whole ting was treasonous, in the sense of making a huge fool of America before the world. I thought the media and others should have been charged and tried.

And, I thought the million pussy march was about the same thing. They should have all been arrested for the treason of dragging this country into the gutter before the eyes of the world, removing any lingering doubt that we are a base culture and have lost our collective minds. A good spanking and send them home.

Well, it wasn’t just lying about consensual sex, it was lying under oath, ie perjury, which is, you know, against the law. So far, the Trump Resistance is grasping at straws when it comes to finding a law he’s broken. Right now, obstruction of justice is just a theory, not a proven fact. Clinton’s perjury was indisputable pretty early on, but his supporters continued to insist that it was all just a witch hunt by a bunch of nasty old republicans who were jealous of him for getting bj’s under the desk.

Oh, and if you ask any self respecting feminist, there’s no such thing as consensual sex between a man in a position of power and one of his underlings. You can’t find a man with much more power than the president of the United States, or a woman much more underling than a 19 y/o intern. But that’s not against the law, so I won’t hold it against Wild Bill. The feminists on the left in this country certainly didn’t.

I’m wondering why Seth Rich was killed. The most obvious reason doesn’t quite make sense, if you murder someone over information that was already exposed, you just draw attention to that information.

I think it more likely that there was something he didn’t get to make public.

      • malthuss June 16, 2017 at 10:39 am #

There have been so many ‘snuffs’ that I have lost count.
Remember the nanny in Manhattan who killed the children, right before the banker was to testify? Weird.
The people in the south investigating pedos.
        Took awhile to find,

Organized ritual pedophilia is at the heart of the New World Order– and they will do anything, including murder— to protect these satanic Pedos. There are a few dead investigators from the Franklin coverup– does anyone here have their names to add?

        1. Monica Petersen — Tried to expose Clinton foundation child trafficking in Haiti

        2. Nancy Schaefer, State senator in Georgia— exposed child protective services/pedophile connection in Georgia

        3. Nancy Schaefer’s husband

        4. Max Spiers — Investigated pedophile ring in the DOD at US army facility in SF, found dead on a couch in Poland at age 39.

        5. Andrew Breitbart— Called out Podesta as a pedophile/satanist who conducts blood rituals, murdered shortly after.

        6. Breitbart’s Coroner— Dead from arsenic poisoning shortly after examining Breitbart

        7. Shahriar Zolfaghari, shot in a taxicab. (husband of Georgia Assistant Attorney General Camila Wright who was investigating child abuse in Georgia)

        • Beryl of Oyl June 16, 2017 at 11:17 am #

John Walsh on America’s Most Wanted started going international to investigate child sex trafficking, when his show was abruptly cancelled.

Maybe he was drunk at 4 in the morning and got wacked walking home from a bar by a crazy crack head, trying to rob him, in one of the most dangerous cities in the country? Just a reasonable guess.

But you talk with certainty that it was a political hit. You must be special in your thought process.

        • hmuller June 16, 2017 at 11:00 am #

Marcus, why was nothing taken from Seth Rich if it was a robbery? Why were Washington DC homicide detectives told to drop the case?

I’m not saying I can find the answers from my armchair. I’m saying someone should investigate this murder along with a whole lot of other crimes which have been ignored.

I hope you’re not claiming that from your armchair you just know there’s nothing to the case. That would be presumptuous and stupid. Sort of like assuming the Podesta brothers collect pedophile art for art’s sake.

I talk with certainty that he was murdered, and we don’t know why, we only know what, and the MSM seems all too willing to let it go.

I am special in my thought process.

“Crackhead” is so 1990. It is a bit unusual to rob someone and not take his money, and also to take the time to shoot the victim three times in the back of the head.

I live in a dangerous city, yet in my neighborhood we have low crime.
Seth was not in a particularly dangerous area of DC. But your guess is as good as mine. That’s my point. When it comes to homicide, guesswork isn’t good enough.

          • marcus1 June 16, 2017 at 12:01 pm #

From Wicki: Within approximately one minute after the gun shots, police officers found Rich with multiple gunshot wounds, in a conscious and breathing state.[34] He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died.[35][36][37] According to police, he died from two shots to the back[28][29] and may have been killed in an attempted robbery, noting that the neighborhood had recently been plagued by robberies.[28]

Please stop reading wing nut sites for clarification and go to more reliable sources for info. If we can all make up our own fantasies about basis of reality then we have no rationality left. And I think most here would agree rationality is necessary for society.

Earlier in the article it talks of a trend of robberies in the neighborhood, which refutes another comment about “safe neighborhood.”

Ennis Cosby was murdered by a Russian in 1997. I’m not sure how this relates to their plans to hijack the US elections in 2016. But we can expect congressional super-brain Maxine Waters to tie it all to Trump.

A “Russian” took the fall for the crime but could not provide a motive.

It is not unheard of for people from other countries to take a fall in exchange for their families being “well” taken care of in the old country.

            Its standard mafia operating procedure.

In addition, until the one world government gets into effect, foreign hit men will be in demand to do certain jobs.

          • thwack June 16, 2017 at 9:23 pm #

            I don’t know.

Hollywood and the entertainment industry in general is a dirty business because I suspect, just like organized crime and possibly politics, “you need some dirt on you in order for anyone to trust you…”

Im also pretty sure wild sex and drug parties were SOP; and that Bill Cosby could name some names if he wanted to.

Im surprised that out of all these women, Andrea Constand is the strongest case they could find?

In Constand’s case, I think the reason she took so long to file charges is because someone had to talk her into it by convincing her

            a) That she was sexually assaulted/raped.

            b) that she could win

Finally, Im surprised Bill Cosby was picking up women on his own?

Usually when you get to a certain income level that work is farmed out to a professional poon agent.

Im also kind of alarmed at his taste in women?

Also, did any of these women consider contacting his wife?

They must have known he was married?

            This case is too weird.

Just imagine, we may end up living in a world where Bill Cosby is in jail and Donald Trump is in the White House?

      • Janos Skorenzy June 16, 2017 at 1:53 pm #

Why? Because you terrify other people from coming forward. Yes, you would think it would draw attention to it, and for really bright people it does, but for most that’s “Conspiracy Theory” and the people who own the media have told us what to feel about that.

Just an idea. Perhaps the real enemy of the republic is above our national political groups. Perhaps the coordination shown through all the protests, demonstrations, and now assassinations are the work of a PTB group bigger and more financed than any national group. Follow the money. The latest info seems to insinuate that both sides of D.C. are on the payroll of the PTB globalists. You can’t generalize one way or another. It is human nature but a steady 40 year diet of high fructose corn syrup, television, and cheese doodles is also responsible. An wallowing of filth that spans generations now. Sloth has infected the land. It has infected the body and mind with symptoms that do resemble a serious bat shit infection.

Bat shit infections are not good. I gave myself one gardening not long ago and it took some serious navy seal type antibiotics to put me right. It’s the last thing I wrote about at my own place on the net.

Speaking of dopes, Anthony Weiner was a long time friend of the Clintons – until they distanced themselves after he continually waved his weener all over the internet.
But somehow (hello Huma) a few thousand Hillary e-mails found their way to his computer in a file he labelled “Life Insurance”. Maybe Mr Weiner was all too aware of how so many estranged Clinton associates died in unlikely ways and via “suicide” over the years.

Pucker keeps asking “where is Anthony Weiner’s laptop?”

          Great question!

Maybe the Prez should ask Jeff Sessions to have the FBI and/or Robert Mueller (a very special counsel) go get it. Were it located acquired and downloaded and then broadcast to the world round-the-clock, 24 hours a doy for a couple of months there would be first a quantum leap in the hysteria level of the media and prog political discussions; followed by a pandemic of Deep State and Democrat grand-mal like symptoms. Hoepfully lots of foaming at the mouth. That would be a grand slam home run at the ol’ Wash D.C. ball park and put Trump’s team well ahead at this juncture early in the second inning of his preznitcy,

          • hmuller June 16, 2017 at 2:33 pm #

The historical precedent might be czar killing. An 19th century Russian Sport. So you know I am talking about a real phenomena I throw down a quoted paragraph for some historical orientation. I don’t cite the source since this history can be checked.

“Czar Alexander II, the ruler of Russia since 1855, is killed in the streets of St. Petersburg by a bomb thrown by a member of the revolutionary “People’s Will” group. The People’s Will, organized in 1879, employed terrorism and assassination in their attempt to overthrow Russia’s czarist autocracy. They murdered officials and made several attempts on the czar’s life before finally assassinating him on March 13, 1881.”

Of course Martial law will not be necessary as we have the bureaucracy and surveillance to stop any terrorist or grassroots democratic activity from starting up. Our 1% czars are quite safe and free to spin a public narrative of their choice.

    • waknpak June 16, 2017 at 11:45 am #

The term New World Order would be counterbalanced by the phrase Old State Chaos. Since every country for itself seemed to lead to balance of power bloodbaths there were many who thought an order based on mutual respect, negotiation, and our common humanity MIGHT lead to better outcomes. In my five years in DC doing public policy I never considered that I was trying to rule the world. Now admittedly I was trying to persuade someone that international institutions could be built to foster better outcomes. There are many that consider think globally, act locally a cruel joke on freedom loving patriots rather than a simple admonition to consider your fellow human beings in other countries. I am with Kunstler in the notion that the story line of America has run off the rails due to ignorance and greed but I prefer not live angrily in a conspiratorial world. I know it exists. I just prefer the stupidity explanation since there is plenty of that everywhere.

“Perhaps this is a manifestation of the political neurosis called American Exceptionalism, the idea that we’re so unlike people in other lands that they might as well be space aliens”

Chomsky, no matter one’s opinion of him, hit the nail on the head with his idea of America’s disdain for, or total ignorance of, the concept of universality/universalism.

The American “do as I say not as I do” foreign policy may be correct. The US may be relatively exceptional in some ways but details into why and how seem ever foggier the more we learn how the sausage gets made.

Well let’s face it, it’s a dangerous concept – the idealism the Globalists are using to create a One World State with them as the Masters and everyone else as peasants. The Nation is infinitely preferable since we can only be united by lowest common denominators of sex and rap with all our unique traditions to be discarded. In other words, bye bye Bill of Rights among other things.

Long time reader, first time poster.

I honestly think that many of the folks leading the chants of “Russia-Russia-Russia, obstruction-obstruction-obstruction, impeach-impeach-impeach,” are doing so because they seriously believe that, if it is proven that Trump colluded with Russia to steal the election, that will somehow invalidate the whole election, with the result that Hilary becomes President after all. I am not kidding.

I recently had a water cooler conversation with my officemates – all Democratic women working in higher ed – and they brought up how Hilary would still become president in 2017, inevitably. When I explained that this isn’t how the Constitution and impeachment works, they all got on me for “mansplaining.” Again, I am not kidding.

One of my younger officemates, a young lady in her late 20s, was so brainwashed by her (un)critical theory espousing faculty, and is so lacking in basic knowledge, that she claimed with a straight face that no President has ever resigned from office before. She is also the kid who, when she found out the Middle Eastern man she was talking to had voted for Trump, she got freaked out and asked me why a “person of color” would vote for Trump. She got even more freaked out at my suggestion that she ask that question of the Middle Eastern man, cuz why ask the folks you’re hating on why they think what they think when it’s just easier to presume you already know.

Higher ed is dead, just like Zed.

As a woman, it is embarrassing to me that the first woman nominee is such a sore loser.
I was going to say, ask them why it was a threat to democracy when candidate Trump wouldn’t take Hillary’s pledge to “accept” the results of the election, but know that she’s lost, her behavior isn’t a similar threat?
You are better off just not talking to them.

That being true he will be back, for as Asoka has said to me: “We are at war”. Bought and paid for by the surveillance state to fish for terrorists, the fact that the activities of government sponsored trolls destroy free speech utterly and completely is of no consequence. The war to maintain the existing arrangements takes no prisoners and the destruction of democracy is an acceptable loss to the neocon mindset.

On another blog and quite a while ago I followed a commenters (troll) web address to a personal blog. Exploring this toll’s blog I found that the troll was keeping a diary. I had to play with the blog U R L a bit to find it. He described going to Asoka’s Washington DC. condo for a barbecue and described Asoka who he referred to.by that name as: “one crazy motherfucker”.

I am sure the real people here with me agree with that sentiment!

Note I used the phrase ‘That being true’. I did that deliberately so to give the meaning ‘if that is true’. That you are back so quickly makes the case that you are in fact a deep state actor and quite possibly Asoka himself. Janet is her own New Leftist gynocentric freakshow.

She teaches Women’s Studies in one of these Ivy League hellholes. She could be in Bryn Mawr, Mount Holyoke, or UC Davis. Her rhetoric betrays her profession and occupation.

Janet writes in a way that practically gives away the presence of a huge wall-sized painting of Andrea Dworkin in her office. Only somebody under the withering gaze of Andrea could post so much counter-culture bullshit, day after day, on CFN.

Janet opens the drapes to her office daily so that Andrea Dworkin’s likeness may glare down upon the students who walk by. Her eyes even follow you!

For Marcus, as I have no reply button available. Nothing you say refutes anything I have stated, Seth Richards was murdered, the police can only speculate, and not only does no one in authority seem too eager to find out what happened, people like you are actually getting angry that some people care.
Wiki is the be-all and end-all authority?
Who said anything about right wing sites?
A man was murdered, we don’t know who did it. It angers you that people want to know why. That’s weird.

    • hmuller June 16, 2017 at 1:01 pm #

      Well said, Beryl.

Marcus’s position seems to be that an unsolved murder should not be further investigated. Why? Because he has a paragraph from Wiki saying “there’s nothing to see here, move along folks.” How convincing?! I guess all homicide detectives should take a load off their feet and just defer to Wiki’s opinion.

Of course, what scares Marcus is the truth coming out and his heros being implicated. But he can’t admit that. He can’t even discuss the issue without calling those who disagree “wing nuts” and other derogatory terms.

Very weak, Marcus! I know you’re not a shill, because the DNC can afford to hire more convincing, eloquent advocates.

    • marcus1 June 16, 2017 at 1:43 pm #

      The DC police are investigating:
      From Wicki,
The conspiracy theories have been debunked by law enforcement,[5][6] as well as by fact-checking websites like PolitiFact.com,[6][8] Snopes.com,[9] and FactCheck.org.[5]

The Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia described the murder as related to a bungled attempted at theft.[5] Police further debunked claims by Rod Wheeler, and made a statement saying: “the assertions put forward by Mr. Wheeler are unfounded.”[5] The FBI told PolitiFact.com that the MPD was investigating the homicide.[8]

Again, You said it was a safe neighborhood when robberies were currently happening in the neighborhood. You said he was shot three times in the back of the head. False, he was shot twice in the back and was breathing when taken to the hospital.

You can follow your leader and try bullshitting your way through life, but the bullshit stops here.

To repeat and refute: A proper agency is investigating the murder (with reward attached). He was shot in the back, not “3 times in the head.”
It was not a “safe” area if robberies were occuring.

      • hmuller June 16, 2017 at 2:51 pm #

Well. if those Deep State, Globalist funded fact sites tell us something, we must believe it. I wonder how they know the conspiracy theories are all debunked if the investigation is ongoing?
By the way, how are all those prostitutes hired as “fact checkers” at SNOPES working out? Enjoy your kool-aid, Marcus.

        • marcus1 June 16, 2017 at 4:04 pm #

You ignore all the points of rational discussion and hug your security blanket of like-minded brothers in fantasy, to tamp down the fear instilled by Fox, Zero Hedge, Prison Planet, and every other wing-nut site that makes their money from instilling fear in the masses.

You can choose to make yourself miserable indulging in fantasy and speculation or try to scrape the surface of reality, and reach some real clarity. Same amount of work very different results. Your choice.

          • hmuller June 16, 2017 at 5:18 pm #

What you call clarity, Marcus, I call a picture of the world painted by those who rule us, their mouthpieces in the corporate media, academia, the banksters, the deep state intelligence and defense community. The list goes on. But you get the idea.

You will forever consider me delusional. And I will consider those like you the products of an educational and indoctrination system which shuns critical thinking and rewards the parrots of conformity and received dogma.

I was a parrot for over 50 years. I learned how to repeat what those in charge wanted to hear – through college, law school, the military, inside the NSA. I’ve been around the block.

Is it hyperbole to say that this incident had the tone of a first shot in a new civil war? – JHK

Things become clearer in the rear-view mirror. Think of 1914. Gavrilo Princip, a nobody, lit the fuse. How could something as improbable as that actually happen? Yet it did.

But there’s another possibility besides civil war, the slo-mo coup that’s been in progress since November turns into a fast-mo 25th Amendment ouster as Jim sez.

And then not an all out civil war, but rather something lower-grade fought between contending factions: road-side bombs, assassinations, killings, beatings, tit-for-tats. Violence and murder but not enough to make it a full-bore, Spanish Civil War style fight-to-the-death. After all it’s no secret that the US is bristling with armed militias.

And then, much as we’ve seen with Democrat-run localities refusing to be bound by Washington rules, Republican-run states joining the fun and bucking the Feds. The US is comprised of country-sized states and so what if, one at a time, different states said screw it and decided go it alone? A messy disaggregation IOW, but not secession in one solid bloc a la 1860s.

It’s the question that Brits asked themselves before the Brexit vote, if the EU was a club open for membership, would you want to join it now? Enough Brits said no.

Ask the same question of the USA. If the USA was a club open to accepting new states, how many would opt to join? Oh yeah, Puerto Rico, a shambolic bankrupt …

I think I’m making progress mansplaining that men and women have different reproductive rights.

So many people say procreation is not a right, it is a biological function. And in the next breath say that transwomen have a right to try to gestate a baby if they want to.

Nope sorry, women have a right to be pregnant not impregnate and men have a right to impregnate not be pregnant and the sooner we codify that with federal law the sooner we can put all this division and confusion and depression behind us.

We don’t need Carry Nation, we need to get Congress to pass the Natural Marriage and Reproduction Act. Every day that goes by with male pregnancy being legal is costing us millions of dollars and harming people.

        • JimInFlorida June 19, 2017 at 7:14 am #

          Natural Marriage and Reproduction Act?

AWESOME! Never heard it until you mentioned it.

Somehow, the current political momentum to celebrate every aberration and freakshow of life has to be put down. Or at least deny special rights to them.

Problem is that the law, by itself, will stand alone and unaided in today’s anomic Amerika. The mass culture in the West is just insane. A law like the Natural Marriage and Reproduction Act would have been more effective in the 1950’s when America was still a good place to live, form families, and raise children.

Trying to pass a bill like this in a modern Sodom and Gomorrah will be a symbolic victory at best.

          • John Howard June 19, 2017 at 1:25 pm #

I think the law, though it doesn’t ban anything that can currently be done, will have a huge effect on the culture.

Man’s Law is entirely capricious, arbitrary, and utterly and quite demonstrably “breakable.”

Natural law – aka God’s Law or Universal Law – is immutable and utterly unbreakable every time.

Indeed, it is often said that while men break Man’s Law recklessly and with total impunity, men break themselves on Natural Law without exception or apology every time and without exception.

The shooting of Republican Congressman Scalise rallied the American Nation for five full hours. Ok, maybe ten.

After Trump’s and a number of Republicans’ speeches about the need to change rhetoric, accompanied by real attempts to talk about their Jeffersonian Democracy partners in a more respectful way, American unity broke up on the conviction of these partners that bipartisanship and compromise means Republicans’ refusal to resist Hillary Clinton’s decisions and full and unconditional surrender of Donald Trump.

It seems that Bastinda is desperate to start the Third World War, and decided to focus on the opportunity to start a civil war in the United States.

Such are these all political times.
First came 24 hour news in the late 80’s/ early 90’s, then came editorialized news (O’Riled up), then came right vs left newstainment (Crossfire, Hannity/Combs) then came all editorialized news, now it’s all editorialized politics.

Remember, Black dysfunction is Black gold for the Civil service bureaucracy. Who do they like better? Whites and Asians who don’t need them, or their “clients” who provide their raison d’etre and of course funding and salaries. There’s gold in them thar ghettoes – Black Gold. You don’t even have to drill for it. The Left and the Right are the same you see, both oil companies. The Centre has not held. Be We, the Brotherhood of the Shadow, will give you all the Center you could ask for. Prophets not Profits, and plenty of luff and plenty of duff – whatever that means (see Treasure Island)! I often don’t know what I’m saying, but I know that it’s right.

You just get a consensus of the highest officials in the land to agree that guy has to go, and they get him gone, …”

And that’s the most delicate problem, isn’t it? If The Donald is removed in any way, without his consent, sincere apology, and credibly asking The American People to fall in line behind Pence or other successor, there is IMHO an extreme risk of civil war.

In the Musical that Broadway will produce about this a hundred years from now, they will no doubt have the Democrat Resistance singing a tune from ‘The Sound of Music’ without much editing needed:

Besotted with a hatred of a strong authority counter to their views, types like these, seemingly benign, in the end will beseech the violence.

And the Left IS bringing the violence. The Right must, at some point, respond in kind.

Civil war? Well, how do you solve a problem like the Left?

I still think we are witnessing something akin to an “enlightenment moment”.

“What the FUDGE?” you say? I know…I know. But hear me out.

This “mass hysteria” is more a reflection of a mass expression to an “awakening” and the mental crisis we collectively feel having the “intelligentsia” and “expert class” revealed as the inbreds (intellectual and otherwise) and criminals they have always been.

Why? The fourth transformative event in human communication largely: ie. the “internet of things”. Similar to the printing press, but exponentially quicker, all the status quo systems of power are laid bare as frail, self serving and indulgent, and incapable of moving humanity forward in any semblance of a peaceful and prosperous fashion.

JK likes to note the financial apocalypse slowly revealing itself daily; the holes in the dam soon being too numerous to plug. The financialized corporatist system the money masters created long ago (manifested here in the US through the “Creature from Jekyl Island” in 1913) is literally cannibalizing itself. None of the “smart class” sociopaths has the ability or humility to fix it, so instead they are just trying to destroy freedom, build their personal fortresses, and hope they can use “the state” to save their own skins.

The Enlightenment was a wonderful event in retrospect, but a bloody mess if you were around to experience it I imagine. Without the printing press it couldn’t have occurred.

    Magic of 911 and Pruitt-Igoe

The amazing fate that befell many of American architect Minoru Yamasaki creations would be able to make superstitious even such a convinced atheist as Mikhail Suslov. It seems to me that the most symbolic, perhaps even more symbolic, than the history of the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center are the social housing program in the suburb of St. Louis Pruitt-Igoe, designed by Minoru Yamasaki. This program very clearly showed the devastating consequences of the war of the eras, which began at the turn of the 40’s and 50’s in the US, and very quickly spread to the whole world.

Minoru Yamasaki, a young talented architect of Japanese descent, escaped internment after Pearl Harbor, moved to New York and got a job at an architectural firm that designed the Empire State Building. Pruitt-Igoe was his first independent project and, from the point of view of the enemy, was the result of the conflict interaction of three different eras in the USA:

    1. The ideology of the “New Deal” of Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
    2. Spoons of black tar added to the “New Deal” by Truman, who not without black humor called the result a “Fair Deal”.
    3. Desegregation, legally implemented by Eisenhower, in an attempt to somehow deal with the consequences of Truman’s artistry.

Indeed, Minoru Yamasaki himself as a creative leader of the movement in architecture, dubbed “romantic modernism,” and the original ideology of the project, came from the Roosevelt attempt to save capitalism from itself by introducing elements of socialism into it. This ideology consisted in the fact that when development comes to a standstill, it is necessary, following Rousseau’s ideas, to renew the social contract, and the Roosevelt attempt to do this was a link in a series of such attempts to deal with the destructive and even misanthropic tendencies in the development of capitalism, by introducing State regulation of the economy and financing of infrastructure projects.

The beginning of this chain was laid by the “Square Deal” of Theodore Roosevelt, continued with Roosevelt’s “New Deal”, and the end seems to have come just recently, when Alan Greenspan put Johnson’s “Great Society” on the needle of creative financial instruments.

In 1949, the mayor of St. Louis, Missouri, worried about the decline in the value of property in the city as a result of the flight of the middle class caused by the Great Depression and the arrival of slums in the business center of the city, set the task of using federal funding to turn the Negro slums into a modern residential complex for low-income families and single young people who are starting their careers. This complex should include places for sports and recreation, kindergartens, parks and infrastructure for the deployment of educational programs. It should be noted that similar programs in the 40’s showed good results in New York, where Minoru Yamasaki was educated and started to work.

But Truman after coming to power, was not particularly concerned with the opinion of the American people and, intoxicated by the power of the sole owner of the red button, in fact committed a coup d’état. As a result of this coup, people came to power who believed that in the Second World War the United States had wrongly chosen their allies, and Truman immortalized his name by throwing away the Yalta agreements along with the mutual understanding and trust between the US and the USSR that arose during the Second World War.

Moreover, he reinforced the statements of some politicians and generals about the wrong choice of allies in the World War II by creating an impressive army out of German prisoners of war in Denmark and the nuclear bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This foreign policy philosophy was called Cold War and it quickly spread into domestic politics, provoking an antagonistic confrontation between the government represented by Senator McCarthy’s commission and that part of American society that demanded the continuation of the policy of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who planned to consolidate the moral lessons of the Nuremberg process at the level of the UN Security Council, and after the war to continue cooperation with the Soviet Union in order to build a postwar world under the auspices of the UN, guaranteeing the postwar disarmament by demonstration of the capabilities of nuclear weapons on the testing range.

In such a world, of course, it would be impossible to restore even the “Realpolitik”, not to mention the “Cold War”.

As a result, this confrontation changed the philosophy of Roosevelt’s “New Deal” with the formal adherence to it. In particular, government assistance to the underprivileged, under Roosevelt, was designed to create a system of social lifts and a mechanism for expanding the middle class, under Truman began to turn into a system of “welfare state”, blocking social lifts and turning the poor into lifelong Social Security clients.

It should be noted that those segments of the American society that suffered most from Senator McCarthy’s activities were historically linked to the education and culture system, the main engines of social lifts, and the US has not yet recovered from this blow, despite all the efforts of the following Presidents. But the most serious consequence of this confrontation was the bureaucratization of urban development programs. The fact is that the Korean War, which became the inevitable consequence of the “Cold War”, devastated the Treasury and cut down the budgets of these projects, practically frustrating the Roosevelt programs for the development of American cities, crowded with black workers who moved during the war to cities to work in military plants.

In particular, for the sake of economy, the Federal Housing Administration has cut the infrastructure of children’s institutions and educational programs in the Pruitt–Igoe project, as well as places for recreation and sports. In addition, buildings of different story buildings were thrown out of the project, and only standardized eleven-story buildings were built, creating a prison, destructive for psyche landscape. The number of stairs and elevators has been reduced, making the number of apartments per corridor more than 30, which excludes the formation of a community of neighbors or even the knowledge of neighbors on the landing in the face, allowing distinguishing strangers from the inhabitants of the house. In addition, the lifts did not stop on each floor, which, combined with the drug culture of youth groups, led to the fact that the journey from the elevator doors to the apartment doors began to demand courage comparable to the courage of the heroic pilot of the Second World African American Wendell Pruitt, after whom the project received its name.

After the law on desegregation was enacted by Eisenhower in 1956, the enclaves of the white population in the initially segregated thirty-three eleven-storey Pruitt–Igoe were liquidated, and the white working class legally mixed with the black unemployed left their apartments and moved to other places. As a result, Pruitt–Igoe, instead of becoming an exemplary residential complex, has become a zone of undivided rule of youth gangs, bacchanalia of murders and rapes and total destruction of everything that could be destroyed, burned or spoiled. Even the neighboring ghettos, which had not undergone any changes and received funding, were in a better position than Pruitt–Igoe. When the St. Louis administration discovered that even the center of a multimillion city was the target of raids by savages from Pruitt–Igoe, causing an outflow of population and capital, attempts to remedy the situation were in vain, the infrastructure was not recoverable, and the population was extremely criminalized. As a result, in 1972 it was decided to evacuate all residents and demolish all buildings.

In some sense, the consequences of these events have not been eliminated until now and it is not at all a fact that they can be eliminated in the future without serious complications. In particular, attempts to correct this situation by half measures made a significant contribution to the development of the global economic crisis, the end and the edge to which it is not even theoretically visible. Meanwhile, talk about the need to change the mentality of the “Cold War” does not go away from the lips of the Presidents and Ministers, but it is still there. And in domestic politics, despite seeming well-being, the US is sitting on a ticking bomb of failed urban projects and social housings, which has become a lifelong refuge for the customers of the welfare, from which, like a grave, there is no way out even for a man accidentally caught in this position, let alone those who were born there.

All of which begs the larger question, FDR’s considerable (and most would add extraordinary) 20th century efforts aside, can a system predicated on the idea of “winner take all,” ever be reformed for long? All subsequent 21st century developments suggest the answer to that question (provided by the blood-thirsty corporate capitalists themselves no less!) is a resounding “OH HELL NO!!!”

Fortunately for the rest of us, it’s the bloodthirsty capitalists’ own shortsightedness that is bringing the system down, although that’s obviously not a short or painless process.

The Big Lie is in the fact that NOBODY is talking about what was the essence of General Flynn negotiations with Russian Ambassador Kislyak on the eve of the new 2017 year.

For some reasons EVERYBODY assumes that it was about anti-Russian sanctions imposed by Obama for annexation of Crimea and events in Eastern Ukraine.

But it was NOT the case!

General Flynn was arranging a special flight to Moscow for 35 Russian diplomats and their families – over 100 persons – to avoid them being arrested, which would’ve been the worst diplomatic crisis since the seizure of American diplomats in Tehran Embassy in 1979!

What could have been an adequate response by Russia to such seizure?

A diplomatic note? Expelling American Diplomats from Moscow?

Or a volley launch of ICBMs?

I’m not sure if we really know what Flynn was talking about, but we know that Obama was still president and it was not Flynns business to evacuate Russians who Obama had already ordered out of the country.
I would speculate that he made sure they were all telling the same story. He wasnt worried about them getting arrested.
After ll, Obama had already ordered them out.

The big lie is that Flynn lied about it

Democrats no longer need diplomacy James, but prefer war as the means to an end unlike the Republicans that do in fact require diplomacy yet also prefer war as a means to their ends. Of course both of the ends are pretty much exactly the same, more wealth, more power, more control for them, Less income, less freedom, less hope for the rest of us. Especially disturbing is this new term politic, “progressive” which seems to me to be a basic policy of allowing those with the biggest mouths to not only decide what is acceptable to believe, say, or think, but that any and all who refuse to bow down before them are demonized with evil words of degradation and marginalization within the system. “IN THEIR THINK tanks—most notably the Project for a New American Century (PNAC) and the American Enterprise Institute—the neocons had made no secret of their desire to use Iraq as a showcase for a reprojection of American military might. Some spoke of installing a U.S-style democracy in the heart of the Arab Middle East; others of Iraq’s huge oil reserves. Lurking just offstage was the inescapable fact that America’s vast military economy needed a steady stream of projects and perceived threats—a particularly vexing challenge in a post-Communist world. As Shock Doctrine author Naomi Klein astutely noted, the war on terror forms an unbeatable economic proposition: “Not a flash-in-the-pan war that could potentially be won but a new and permanent fixture in the global economic architecture.” 4 The big kahuna, without question, was the seizure of the Middle Eastern country sitting on some of the world’s largest untapped oil reserves. One 2000 PNAC study, Rebuilding America’s Defenses, called for an increased defense budget, Saddam Hussein’s removal, and the presence of U.S. troops in the Middle East even after regime change in Iraq. It noted suggestively that these steps would be difficult “absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event—like a new Pearl Harbor.” 5

Also, it’s getting old that he’s now successfully predicted 27 of the last two global economic meltdowns. I’m happy to say that by ignoring his perpetual end-is-near prognoses, I’ve somehow managed to become a multi-millionaire with my investments. Even I am surprised.

Will the Deep State break Trump?

Before meeting with Putin Deep State is trying to turn Trump into a lame duck

On June 14 – the birthday of Donald Trump – during a baseball training a high-ranking Republican Steve Scalise was badly wounded.

Steve Scalise is one of Trump’s closest friends, who have been with him since the first days of his election campaign, supports all his initiatives, in particular, the withdrawal from the Paris climate agreement, but also plays a big role in building a dialogue between Trump and the Republicans in Congress.

And such a person is seriously injured, and just on Trump’s birthday.

US media, mostly belonging to the World Party of War, naturally ignored this fact, which is not surprising. As they ignored the fact of the multi-hour burning of a multi-storey building in London, which, “strangely enough,” did not collapse into itself, as it happened on September 11, 2001 in New York, but continued to burn for hours.

If a sniper took a shot at Trump’s closest friend, everything would be obvious. But everything was done in such a way as to create the impression that this supposedly supporter of Bernie Sanders could not stand it and decided take revenge on Trump’s people.

After failing during the congressional hearing of the former FBI Director Comey at the imminent impeachment of the new US president, Trump received a serious black mark.

    Children are not touched. Yet.

Sanctions against Russia: Deep State has entered the front line

In parallel to the personal attack on Trump, Deep State decided to change the situation in principle – that is, to take over the country bypassing the President and his Administration, through the Senate and Congress. This is also facilitated by a serious injury to Scalise, which should show to everyone who is the master of the house.

Since the main danger for the “deep state” is the establishment of working relations between Trump and Putin, in achieving by Trump serious results in foreign policy, after which he will move to the policy internal, leaders of the World Party of War decided that it is necessary to break any serious agreements between Moscow and Washington at the upcoming 7-8 July meeting of the G20 leaders in Hamburg.

To do this, they need to make sure that Moscow sees that Trump does not control the situation either in foreign policy or in the internal one, and therefore, there can be no serious agreements with him, since he can not guarantee their fulfillment by American side.

For this, just before the G-20 summit in Germany, the next operation of the Deep State is launched in the form of a decision by the Senate on new sanctions against Russia. On June 14 (just on Trump’s birthday and parallel to his friend’s attack on the same day), the US Senate voted to approve the bill regarding new sanctions against Russia and Iran. For the bill voted 98 senators. Against the bill voted only two – Senators Bernie Sanders and Paul Rand.

The law is formulated in such a way as to prohibit Trump to circumvent these prohibitions by presidential decisions. If this law is adopted, then Trump will have to coordinate with Congress in order to lift the sanctions. Thus, his authority in the field of foreign policy is severely curtailed. It is unlikely that he will let it go.

European politicians view this bill as a direct blow by the Americans against the new Russia-Europe gas pipeline “Northern Stream-2 and impose on Europe the purchase of more expensive American liquefied gas.

Trump is increasingly being pushed into the corner, on the one hand, by threatening him with physical violence, on the other, trying to break him and force him to carry out the decisions of the Deep State, like all previous US presidents.

The chances that Trump can solve this problem without some unusual moves and decisions are minimal.

Thing is, Trump is like the GWOT itself: a seemingly endless distraction and wealth generator for the beltway chattering classes, who are no doubt generating billions of dollars of legal and consulting fee revenues in response. Trump’s primary value is as a heavy bag for the otherwise bored politicos to work themselves into a lather on. Meanwhile, all the more lucrative genuine political theft rackets go on completely unnoticed. All by design. This is how the NWO works.

Mr Coleman, the Sotelo example was interesting not least because history has a habit of doing movie remakes, each with different cast and costumes and dialogue, but with familiar plot-lines.

If we sat down we could probably come up with a couple dozen triggers inside a half hour, each event that could in retrospect (sometimes only of days) look like the one that precipitated the change from one thermodynamic state to another ie hot to full boil.

So, given the example of history and given the present environment, what do you figure would be the most likely?

The political neurosis of American Exceptionalism resides in an especially virulent form in certain segments of the US.

You see it in snowflake form, where mommies and daddies cough up 60Gs a year for the education of their precious offspring, only to watch them engage in such laughable pursuits as protesting white privilege, where most of those protesting are – you guessed it – white and inordinately privileged. Exceptional Pot calling Exceptional Kettle…

You see it also in self-congratulatory progressives, especially in anti-vaxxer and anti-GMO formats, those same people who claim to be all about facts and evidence and knowledge. Now, do I personally trust drug companies? No. Do I trust Monsanto? Of course not. You have to keep those guys under constant monitoring. But I’m old enough to remember polio outbreaks and I’ve seen kids in wheelchairs and leg-braces. And since we’ve had polio vaccination those outbreaks went away. And those are the bald facts harvested by means of the bare eyeball. And if people think their immune systems, or more importantly their kids’ immune systems, are up to taking on polio without help, well, I can tell them because I’ve seen it up close, they’re out of their fucking minds. But tell that to the Exceptional People that are all about facts and evidence.

As to GMO, starvation is no fun and we’re on our way to 9 billion people on this small planet and I’ll just leave it at that other than to say we’ve been genetically modifying plants and animals for more than ten thousand years. Has anyone ever gotten sick from eating genetically modified corn? But, to the point, do the Exceptional People think they’ll be the ones threatened by hunger? Of course not. Easy to be all holy and environmental and anti-GMO when you won’t be the one starving.

These people think they’re truly Exceptional, they’re the anointed, they’re the meritocratic elite. Don’t tell them otherwise. And since they know best because they are the Exceptional Ones, they will rule. Elections be damned.

      Great article as usual.

Except that pretty much all the same sorts of things could just as well be said about most peasants i meet.

For example, I wish i had a dime for every occasion I have met an illegal drug abuser …….who preaches ” get tough on crime ” !

that is, who essentially endorses the creation of a police state which will impoverish and enslave THEM , and their motive for this, apparently, is no more than a vicarious sadism .

If I got a dime for every such occasion, i would be a very wealthy woman.

    • JimInFlorida June 17, 2017 at 2:03 pm #

As for GMO, there is a BIG difference between hybridization and genetic modification.

Hybridization mixes the genes of related plants and lets Nature do the mechanics of creating the new plant.

Genetic modification introduces DNA that is ALIEN to the plant and uses artificial means to make it happen. GMO’s are chimeras and are not natural.

The problem is not lack of food but, lack of prioritizing production to meet the need. Far too much food is wasted in the production of novelties, boutique delicacies, and pointless varieties of the same thing. Distribution is also a huge problem where too much food is chasing only those with the money to buy it.

Same thing with fresh water. We have a distribution and management problem. Not a supply problem. Raping a hundred billionaires could easily fund collection and transport of fresh water from Greenland. Incredible amounts of fresh water that is just melting and flowing into the ocean! How about a network of canals that could connect regions in the U.S. to distribute excess water to other lakes or places needing water?

Rape the goddamn billionaires, tax the living dogshit out of their casinos, pro-sports franchises, media empires, etc. and let’s put the money into physical infrastructure that will solve food and fresh water problems!

You’re only looking at overpopulation through one tiny lens. Feeding people. Food. Sustenance. Stupidly simplistic.

There are countless problems beyond feeding people. Environmental degradation, quality of life, pollution, disease, species extinction, energy production, resource extraction, arable land and farming (cotton, etc.) conflict, and on and on.

It is impossible to have the human populations we have, and more, living at a standard we consider desirable, let alone bearable or humane. Impossible.

So no, imbecile, don’t rape anybody, don’t tax and destroy casinos and pro sports, and our standard of CIVILIZED living so that we may have even more useless mouth-breathers taxing the earth.

I was in the original Dr. Salk vaccine testing program back in 1954. In fact, I still have the certificate that says I am a “polio pioneer”. Lucky for me, I guess, that I was in the group that got the real vaccine, as compared to the placebo group – all part of the double blind study.

I was marched to another area of my school, told to line up, and that i going to get a new vaccine, so roll up your sleeves to get a shot. Several students got scared and started crying – I remember that to this day.

WRT the apartment tower fire in London, after all the bureaucratic folderol is over and done over what happened and who’s to blame, you’ll be on your own as far as drawing conclusions. A disaster of this size pretty much necessitates a circling of the wagons.

This was social housing, The residents had been complaining for years about conditions. The survivors are saying we bloody well told you so. You can point to that one set of apartments and then go to a hundred other cities in countries all over the formerly industrialized west and see the same shit over and over.

Who’s to blame are the Don’t-Give-a-Fuckists in governing circles, not just in the UK but all over Europe and North America, whose mandate is to serve those with money. Don’t expect anything to come out of this disaster.

    • cbeard June 17, 2017 at 2:36 pm #

I guess the apartments that burned in London were equivalent to section 8 housing in the U.S. and you are probably correct in assuming nothing much to come from the disaster. At least nothing of any consequence. How about the warehouse fire in California that happened a few months ago. Its a shame housing is so hard to come by, but not a surprise. Increasing population and importation of immigrants isn’t going to help.

Janet is a shill — *sigh* I have never understood why this is such a popular topic.

Let’s assume it were true ; then all that constitutes is another proof that the ruling class , the aristocracy, the Social – Darwinist Supermen , are never as estimable as advertised.

Clusterfuck Nation is too Individualistic , eccentric, personal, local. I doubt that it ever has, or ever will , appeal to any but a narrow audience.
So planting agents here is an idiotic waste of effort, manpower, and money.

    — But then the FBI at one time had agents planted in the United Daughters of the Confederacy.

So, yeah, your masters are idiots.

” Perjury is a crime ! ” — gimme a fucking break. Sometimes i really wonder what country most posters here are actually living in . Maybe it is really mostly Red Coats masquerading as Americans?

IN AMERICA PERJURY IS A CRIME FOR LITTLE PEOPLE . Increasingly perjury is used as one of several stratagems for rendering the 5th Amendment irrelevant — and as often as not heartily endorsed by peasants on both the left and right, who, in a break with 150 years of prior American history, value privacy not at all , but hold it in complete contempt , like good Nazis should.

I have long since lost count of the number of times that police , prosecutors, and myriad other state officials, have, beyond any question, blatantly lied in court, and they were charged with nothing. And no number of peasants, on either the left or right, raised a single complaint.

Invariably, when state officials ARE charged with perjury, you can confidently predict it is an exercise in deceptive theater that signifies nothing.

” Anonymity gives power to the powerful and makes the surveillance state invincible. ” — what he should have written to begin with.

” Anonymity is for cowards and agents.” — This, applied to your typical powerless individual , is just another proof that the peasants like fucking each other over more than the ruling class ever could ,
    or ever would.

    Reflections on the current situation

The American and British “elites” not only watch very carefully the film of three-times Oscar-winner Oliver Stone, but also read articles that analyze Vladimir Putin’s answers to questions during a recent TV direct line.

And most of all they are interested not in what he said, but what he did not say.

In particular, they took the words of Putin if something happens, no one will survive on their own account, and decided that Russian Mother of all Bombs would be deliberately thrown into luxury nuclear fallout shelters. (That message was addressed personally to JimInFlorida)

And they drew attention to the fact that he practically did not say anything about Ukraine, and from this they came to the conclusion that he still will have to send troops there or supply the armies of the Donetsk and Lugansk with everything they need, as the internal dissatisfaction of Russians with the policy of non-interference in the affairs of the “Brotherly People” and ignoring the Nazification of Ukraine is reaching a dangerous level.

Moreover, Trump DEMANDS this from him, since what is happening in Ukraine provides Clintonoids with a dangerous space for all sorts of provocations.

By the way, it seems that Tramp will still have to implement the Khazin’s plan (purges of Russian Government from the Clinton’s affiliates), since the Western Black Project in Russia at this stage is targeted against him.

In particular, the attempt of the killers of the Republican Whip on the voting day of the anti-Tramp bill in the Senate (which is considered anti-Russian by mistake) would hardly have happened if Navalny failed to sell the idea to the West that Putin’s overthrow is possible, since a new generation has grown up that does not remember the disaster of the 90’s and ready to “try the controlled chaos” again.

And personally I think that Putin is right, ignoring what is happening in Ukraine, as Russia can not afford the economic recovery of Ukraine. But then you have to stop talking every day about it on three federal channels – ignore the hell out of it!

Or all the same, send the troops and hang all this Nazis, I just beg – do not hang them on Maidan Square in Kiev. Hang them in Nuremberg or at worst in Lvov.

The truth be told for this Russia will have to take Berlin first, but what the hell?

    • DA June 17, 2017 at 5:26 pm #

Well, you certainly speak authoritatively enough. I think your estimation of Trump veers off into drunken fantasy land, but to each his own I guess. Are the US/globalist elite afraid of (or at least have a healthy respect for) Vladimir Putin? Of course they do, for he’s one thing they will never be able to imagine themselves being: a truly authentic (warts and all) leader, who truly has the interests of the people he’s ostensibly leading at heart. That fact alone is such a truly radical concept in the globalist west these days that it literally makes heads explode (see one Zagruder film) to even consider it.

Dr Reid A Bryson, the Father of modern climatology, noted that even today the ice in Greenland covers old Viking farms. In other words, it was much, much warmer a few centuries ago.

Glaciers receding? Calm down, it’s all happened before, mate. Dr Bryson, “What do they find when the ice sheets retreat, in the Alps….A silver mine! The guys had stacked up all their tools because they were going to be back the next spring to mine more silver, only the snow never went. There used to be less than now. It’s just getting back to normal.”

I’d put quotes around normal. There is no normal. In the Ice Ages, being covered with ice is normal. In the long Summer of the Early Earth, there was no ice anywhere it seems. If you mean the normal of the Interglacial, perhaps, but even now there are many sub cycles.

This reminds me of the realities of automobile production.

produce a vehicle that is rock-bottom – cheap , so simple in engineering your average 12 year old can figure out how to fix it , with a minimum set of tools.
prioritize the maintenance end of the equation , i.e. insure as much as possible that spare parts will be available for the vehicle from now until doomsday.

But with very rare exceptions ; the Volkswagen Beatle , Checker Cab , the Ford Model T until tanking sales absolutely forced Henry Ford to give up production,
this idea, whenever tried, has failed.
And not because the ruling class foiled it.

but because the vast majority would rather go into hock for the latest example of bling bling which you won’t be able to get parts for in less than 20 years.

    • DA June 17, 2017 at 6:03 pm #

Not sure I’d label it “the latest example of bling bling” or not, but you are correct overall. Who to figuratively indict for this state of affairs? All of us no doubt, but it’s hard to say what’s to be done about it at this late date. Global capitalism and it’s deadly offspring marketing (aka propaganda) are with us now to stay for at least as long as we are. Which probably sums it all up as well as anything: for as long as we are. As in, not for long.

    PLAY BALL!

Conspiracy theorist and loyal Donald Trump supporter Newt Gingrich is now admitting that the Russia collusion scandal will likely result in people in Trump’s circle — maybe even Trump himself — going to jail.

The comment came — where else? — on Fox News during an interview with Sean Hannity late Friday. Trump goin’ down because… Russia… collusion.

In order to garner the continued perqs of the Military-Industrial-Congressional Complex, one must adhere to the scripts that clog the pipes of discourse and critical thinking and help to identify the “enemies of the State”. This is a paid position, not some dearly held principles of ethereal, democratic enlightenment.

Food, clothing, shelter, disposable income for entertainments. What “principles” would you propound, promote and propagate for such generous remuneration — and in what circumstances? (Beats working for a living, doesn’t it?)

…Yes, Madam/Sir, we’ve already established your profession; now we’re just haggling over price…

the really terrible thing about so-called feminism is that while many of these people are undoubtedly so stupid as to fail to see that stigmatizing , marginalizing, and generally screwing over , 50 % of the population ( Men ) is bound to be bad news for women……..

Clearly, stupidity doesn’t explain all of them.

Clearly, some of them do see perfectly well that screwing over men is going to be bad news for women.

    Ok.

Let’s say that Trump is a veritable paid Russian agent.

    And he is going down.

It seems to me that all that would show is how determined you are to destroy yourselves with this narrative that it is always the other guys fault.

And in that case, that started not with Trump, or even with the Old Soviet Union, or even with the now antique Nazis.

It started way back in 1865 when you cooked up this poisonous narrative that a war YOUR government INSISTED ON was the other guys fault .
This poisonous narrative that killing 600,000 fathers, husbands, sons, brothers, and friends was for the sake of someones freedom.

And I have no doubt that if you stick with this narrative, Trump or no Trump, you will ultimately destroy your own country , with little or no input from outsiders.

Yes, Kesa. And the Left attacks Black Confederate supporters on sight. One dying mysteriously, perhaps run off the road. Imagine if the North had just let the South go. What a difference it would have made. Nothing was solved – the fight now commences again, this time the question is whether Whites will be allowed their freedom to establish their own Homeland on this continent or indeed, anywhere at all. Even Iceland now has Muslims and of course Muslim rapists.

Though Im not one of those people who claim slavery was the cause of the Civil War; if it was the cause, I would understand.

It was an issue that needed to be resolved once and for all, or it was going to cause much greater problems in the future; and the smart people knew this.

For example, Oregon banned slavery by banning black people:

      https://oregonencyclopedia.org/articles/exclusion_laws/#.WUZYf1fAeHo

Were that many black people trying to move to Oregon?

Because usually when a law is passed its purpose is to prevent or retard an existing or growing behavior; like the inter racial marriage laws.

You can determine a lot about a culture by studying what behaviors they attempted to prevent and retard with laws.

Work of the Love Survey Party

The work began with the division of the huge area into 18 districts. Each was assigned to one of five or six survey crews for mapping. The districts were further divided into tracts or sections, which were offered to the public through land grants.

Each section offered for sale contained 50 to 300 acres. Each included some good farm land and timber land.

The survey party produced a huge map, one copy of which was posted in the Haywood County courthouse prior to the first land sale. The sale began Sept. 20, 1820 and continued for several weeks. Other sales were held in Franklin in 1822 and 1823.

The survey party chose the site of Franklin, which was destined to become the county seat. The town site occupied 400 acres in sections 24 and 32 of district 16. It was named for Commissioner Jesse Franklin, a prominent statesman who became governor of North Carolina in 1820.

Because of high demand for land, prices were set to bring in a good profit. No land could be sold for less than 50 cents per acre. Grade 1, the best, sold for $4 per acre; grade 2 for $2 and grade 3 for $1. Buyers could pay one-eighth down and the rest in four annual payments, with a discount offered for early payment. Grants were to be issued after the state received the full purchase price.

The US sought to project its commercial Empire largely through secret covert wars of the C,,IA and by maintaining corrupt puppet states. The American public to this day largely remains oblivious of America’s secret empire and The Deep State.

“Maintaining naval supremacy was Britain’s long-term goal, since to protect and build a global commercial empire, it had to guard oceanic trade routes. While France was preoccupied with war on the Continent, Britain was seizing French colonies and strategic bases to augment its own trading network. Underlying all the Continental wars at this time was the conflict of interests between France, which was building a land-based empire in Europe, and Britain, which was accumulating a global empire based on trade. In this struggle of newly emerging empires, France’s position was not helped by Napoleon being first and foremost a soldier. He understood and relied on his armies, but did not understand the strengths and weaknesses of his navy, nor did he trust his naval officers. Yet he knew well enough that a trading empire was as important to France as it was to Britain. Napoleon had a better grasp of the political situation than he did of the state of his navy, and although he counted ships and men and analysed their positions, he took little notice of how unprepared they were for the task in hand.”

Attempt on the life of Republican Whip Scalise was an act of terror against the US Congress, whose goal is not only to deprive Trump supporters of the opportunity to influence the vote on the bill that toughens anti-Russian sanctions and, most importantly, legally deprives US President Trump of the right to improve relations with Russia, but also to popular explain to Congressmen what will happen to them if they vote in a wrong way.

  75. FincaInTheMountains June 18, 2017 at 7:03 am #

This bill on anti-Russian sanctions is written in order for Trump himself to sign under his own sentence, removing him from the management of US foreign policy. And Trump only has a choice to veto this bill and invite the senators themselves to declare Russia an economic war, and not to force the President to take the responsibility.

Those who voted for this bill did so either from a big hangover or from a big fright caused by the fact that the vote took place a few hours after the attempt on the life of the Republican Whip in the House of Representatives, the more it is clear that under these circumstances an economic war can easily develop into a shooting War.

The Kremlin Super Troll compared the former director of the FBI Comey with Ed Snowden, called him a human rights defender and offered him a political asylum

Initially, the Americans were sympathetic to Putin in spite of Hillary and her alliance with Bandar-ben Sultan, Merkel and Juncker, but now they would love him for his sense of humor and the next open line with Kremlin would be broadcasted real-time with simultaneous translation into English and Coca Cola advertising.

The information blockade on Russia is broken and, as Gorbachev says, not to mention his name by night, “The process has started!”.

  77. volodya June 18, 2017 at 2:07 pm #

    Kesa Anna,

You say: Except that pretty much all the same sorts of things could just as well be said about most peasants i meet.

I think you’re referring to the political opposites ie Republicans as principled conservatives, in which case you’re right, American Exceptionalism doesn’t infest only one side of the political ledger, you see it on both.

Principled Conservatism is the American Exceptionalism of the right. The ideal principled conservative would be one that suffers for his conservative ideals, the man who loses his livelihood because of plant shutdowns and offshoring and who now has to scrape together whatever money he can by whatever Taskrabbity jobs he can get for whatever people are willing to pay. The fact that he is suffering, that his wife and kids are destitute, he accepts with equanimity because this is what the free market dictates. And a true American, a principled conservative, will accept what the free market dishes out. And if he and his family suffer then he must accept this outcome as right and just.

Such an individual is surely deluded, what he suffers isn’t the result of a “free market” but rather the opposite, what he suffers is the end result of immensely wealthy Americans buying up legislatures to rig rules of international investment and commerce to benefit themselves.

Like the hang ’em high, law ‘n order type, they play into the hands of nasty Oligarchs whose priority is their own wealth an power, all other considerations be damned.

    @ St. Elmo’s,

Yeah, modern medicine is miraculous. Two family members have AFIB and were zapped. I’m having surgery in July for 3 hernias – just a few parts wearing out, I guess. In the old days, you got cut open and had a one-week hospital stay, and another 2 or 3 weeks recuperation. Now, it’s an out-patient procedure, done laparoscopically and I’m sore for a few days. There are possible post-surgery aftereffects, but really, the procedure has been minimized. I can’t imagine how the surgery will be performed in 10 years.

I was working on my MC out front — ’54 Royal Enfield British Army Model, kick starter broke — listening to this tech program on AM radio, two sharp young guys who know pretty much everything. Here’s what I learned: within 10 years gasoline powered cars will be fazed out, replaced with electric and nitrogen powered cars, self driving cars are just a few years away rendering steering wheels obsolete, Amazon’s purchase of Whole Foods will shut down all other grocers and sooner rather than later and we will order groceries online and they will be delivered by drone. It seems we are on the brink of many more technical breakthroughs as well, in medicine, finance, business, race relations, international relations, nutrition … not a discouraging word, the future is bright, one big techy wet dream from here on out.

Turns out this part I need is not available anywhere in the world so I’m going to have a local machinist make one up.

    brh

    • ozone June 18, 2017 at 8:54 pm #

🙂 Which goes to show that the “local machinist” has got a head start into the future of how things will have to be arranged for some kind of continuum. Now, if we can just figure out how to keep the steel smelting (in all its permutations) going when the post-industrial energy inputs bites down with the Big Teeth.

Lathes, Bridgeports, carbide tooling bits, baby. *Very* sophisticated stuff that nobody thinks about (although they damn well should).

      • ozone June 18, 2017 at 9:00 pm #

Ps. Somebody “up above” in the comments mentioned that he put/diverted his energies into becoming a smithy. Good idea; always a useful talent for creating “income” (however we’d wish to define that). Coal or charcoal or *what* for firing the forge? Hmmm.

Oz, up your way, from about Great Barrington south to Kent, one time iron smelting capital of the US from about 1740 to 1860. They mined the ore right there and cooked it up in those giant ovens. The last one closed in 1919. Two still exist, one on Rte 44 in S Canaan, the other in Kent Furnace.

After that the action moved west to Pittsburg. Where the action is now I don’t know, probably overseas

Jim, you ask “Is it hyperbole to say that this incident had the tone of a first shot in a new civil war?” referring to the aforementioned shooting of Senator Scalise. I for one do not think it is an exaggeration. In fact, I say “Bring it on already!” Let’s get on with the clearing of grievances and cleaning of the the filth this nation has become. Let the games begin! Only, let’s not just shoot at each other. Let’s make sure those elected officials responsible for this mess pay for it. Let’s hang the bankers and bureaucrats from the rafters. Make sure to root out those who would destroy this nation in every nook and cranny. There is no other way out of this. No more political solutions. Blood must be shed and blood will be shed.

” Since when have you ever seen the entire White House staff “lawyer up” over “fake news”? ”

let me see………..I think i have seen the entire White House Staff lawyer up about 10,000 times.

for 10,000 various reasons. ” fake news” merely being one reason out of 9,999 other reasons.

EVERYONE with any sense , or who can afford it , lawyers up.

While i cannot say how many innocent people are in jail, or how many guilty people are in jail * —

( * Theologically , I believe in original sin . So, a priori, I don’t believe there is such a thing as innocence.

Practically, with 10,000 + federal laws, not counting state and local laws, the concept of innocence is obsolete and antique. if you are breathing you ARE breaking some law, somewhere, somehow. )

    — I can say with absolute confidence that the jails are full to bursting with people who take as Gospel the fairy tale of law they see on TV and believe it is not necessary to lawyer up.

By the way, in suggesting that when your opponents lawyer up it is prima facae evidence that they are guilty of something, you are painting your own side into a corner.

As the old saying goes , ” you may start a war when you will , but you may not be able to end it when you please. ”

Or, to put it in this context ; You may launch a witch-hunt as you see fit.
But you are imprudent if you assume you will always get to pick the witch-hunters yourself. Your witch hunt may wind up under your opponents control.

i’ll say it again ; Anyone with any sense lawyers up every time.
