Ho ho ho! It’s that time of year again. Here’s JHK’s holiday classic: A Christmas Orphan.

11-year-old Jeff Greenaway hears his mom and dad argue one night after an office Christmas party. He infers from their garbled squabble that he is an orphan, found in a willow basket on the welcome mat outside their New York apartment. Thinking now that his parents are imposters, he steals away to Grand Central Station and buys a train ticket to Drakesville, Vermont, where he intends to start life all over again.

Hot air balloons may be crashing in Texas, but in Philadelphia last week sainted Hillary, draped in spotless white privilege robes, floated through the glassiest ceiling of all on mighty gusts of saccharine gas. The good wife… the good mother… tireless fighter for the rainbow outcasts and gender martyrs of this patriarch-plagued republic, she pledged both continuity and change to the credulous faithful as history yanked her above the gurgling cesspits of allegation, suspicion, and distrust that lo, these many months, had come to be her natural haunt.

The cameras cut to poor brooding Bernie seated just above the delirious groundlings, frowny-faced, arms crossed, brow beetled beneath his white Corinthian curls, perhaps suffering the effects of cheese-steak poisoning. He’d endorsed Saint Hillary with all the passion of a Seventh Avenue soft goods jobber hawking last-year’s resort-wear, and the next day he would up-and-quit the Democratic Party — as if that was not sending a message to the true believers.

Yet another email maelstrom almost spoiled the gala, this one revealing the strings and levers pulled by the DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz in violation of the Party fairness charter. She was axed in a New York minute, and the whole country — including the ADD-afflicted news media — dropped the story to behold the awesome ascension of She-Whose-Turn-It-Is. All except the arch-boor Trump who cracked that maybe Russia could find those 20,000 emails missing from I’m-With-Her’s fabled server. The entire nation, including the aforementioned Special Needs news media, actually missed the point of the gag — which was: how lame are the US security agencies if they couldn’t find those emails but Russia could? And how come nobody raised that question?

Julian Assange then appeared, Jacob Marley-like, to warn the minions of Hillary that he had portfolios full of interesting material yet to dump, and would take his sweet time choosing the opportune moment to do it. How Hillary must wish she could send a Navy SEAL team into Ecuador’s London embassy to ventilate that hacker-rat! It will be fun waiting for Julian to make his move, and to see how much Xanax Hillary will require in the meantime. The DNC coronation show will prove to be only temporary relief from the phantoms and revenants of misdeeds past.

The distraction du jour is whether Trump has become an agent of Russia. Notice that this line of intel comes direct from the neo-con central agitprop desk. This unofficial US War Party representing the amalgamated war industries has been busy demonizing Russia throughout the current presidential term. Not all Americans are so easily gulled, though. Those who know history understand, for instance, that the Crimea has been a province of Russia almost continually for hundreds of years — except the brief interval when the ur-Ukrainian Soviet leader, Nikita Khrushchev one drunken evening gave it away to the then-Soviet region of Ukraine in a fit of sentimentality, assuming it would remain a virtual property of Greater Russia forever. Notice, too, that since Russia annexed it in 2014 (being the site of its only warm water port and major naval stations) not even the US neo-con war party has been able to make a credible case for fighting over it. Instead, they’ve resorted to name-calling: Putin the “thug,” Putin the “worst political gangster in the world.” This is exactly the brand of foreign policy that Hillary will bring to the Oval Office.

Not that Donald Trump offers a coherent alternative. The reasonable suspicion persists that he doesn’t know his ass from a hole in the ground vis-à-vis how the affairs of the world actually work. For him it’s all same as tough-talking the sheet-rocker’s union. Then, of course, Trump had to immediately step in dog-shit by bad-mouthing the mother of an American army hero who-just-happened-to-be of the Mohammedan persuasion. Trump for practical purposes is a child and a reasonable case is not hard to make for denying him presidential power.

And so the great disaster movie of 2016 commences: Godzilla Versus Rodan the Flying Reptile. Which one will survive to completely destroy the sclerotic remains of our nation? The good news is that voters are moving to the Third and Fourth party nominees, Gary Johnson (Libertarian) and Jill Stein (Green) in droves, herds, flocks, porpoise pods, and stampedes. Perhaps both of these relatively sane candidates will show enough polling strength to make it into the Great Debates. Won’t that be fun?

This will be the first election in thirty years from which I deliberately stayed home asking myself, “WTF happened to this country?!”

WTF happened to the country? What those candidates you voted for in the last 30 years did to it.

(I’m not saying there was any viable choice, but my point is that the previous candidates who prevailed in what appeared to be choices between “sane” candidates are the ones that have turned our country in to a madhouse.

      • Elrond Hubbard August 1, 2016 at 11:48 am #

        This.

        johnshaplin.blogspot.ca/2009/06/crisis-of-confidence-speech-by-andrew-j.html

By the late 1970s and the second oil shock, it was becoming clear that the post-WWII moment of unbridled prosperity had played itself out. America faced a choice between accepting that fact — adjusting course in order to maintain control over its own destiny (e.g. doing whatever it needed to do in order to wean itself from dependency on foreign oil, including acceptance of a change in lifestyle) — versus doing whatever it took to keep the party rolling along.

Jimmy Carter tried to level with the American people about this. The American people shrugged and went with Ronald Reagan instead: the “modern prophet of profligacy, the politician who gave moral sanction to the empire of consumption.”

Future historians will not be kind to this tragic choice. Follow the link and read the passage in full. No one is doing a better job of articulating this question than Andrew Bacevich.

        • Anotherplayaguy August 2, 2016 at 12:49 pm #

You’re an optimist if you think there are going to be future historians.

        • JimInFlorida August 2, 2016 at 5:55 pm #

Yes! I remember when America cried out, “Give us Barabbas!”

Jimmy Carter was destroyed, in part, by honest stats on inflation and unemployment. That lesson was taken seriously by every POTUS since. Every Admin has gamed the stats so that they *NEVER* get close to 10%.

Jimmy Carter was, by Democrat standards, the political equivalent of Carrie Nation. Ronald Reagan lifted Prohibition on the banksters, established the national religion of Imperial War, and we all know the rest of the story because we are living in it.

        • unirealist August 2, 2016 at 8:58 pm #

Hey, Elrond, you’re singing my song.

Not that many people today understand how significant that turning point was, in 1980.

I expect historians will grasp it. And hopefully demote that buffoon Ronald Reagan from his mythic hero status, as well.

        • Dumbedup August 3, 2016 at 10:41 pm #

          Excellent Elrond and Jim.

I remember that time very well. Ronald Reagan made us all “feel” good about ourselves – about our nation. Greatness is seductive. I never bothered to look into Reagan’s past. In particular his zealous disregard for rights of people to protest actions of the government. Carter was case as inept, frail, cowardly and wildly liberal.

The exact time is hard to pinpoint as these things usually are, but when capitalism exhausts its resources it first starts wars to create new markets then later it feeds on itself. We have entered the “American Empire” era and whether historians mark 1979 as the pivot moment is probably irrelevant. Reagan was a product of the emerging zeitgeist that profit was all that mattered and when there was profit it would be good for all of us. But as we all know now there was no trickle down wealth. What we have instead has bankrupted the country by increasing the wealth of a few and impoverishing the rest of us. That is the nature of wetiko … the egophrenia that has taken over our souls.

          • Elrond Hubbard August 4, 2016 at 11:16 am #

Thanks for that. It wasn’t my insight, but as soon as I heard it a lot of things clicked into place for me.

A good part of the subject matter of this blog was born in that moment — for example, all the financial shenanigans of the past three decades. While prosperity fell back to more normal levels from the post-war high, it didn’t disappear altogether. But real prosperity came to be concentrated in ever fewer hands, like those of banksters, the military-industrial complex, and high-level scammers generally. Most people were left with various forms of false prosperity driven by consumer debt and illusory deferred compensation (i.e. retirement plans that will never be honoured).

Then there are the wars in the Middle East. Before 1979, hardly any American military personnel had died in that region; since 1979, hardly any American military personnel have died anywhere else. Rather than take control of its own destiny, America decided to take control of others’ destiny instead (calling the effort a pursuit of freedom and national security). The present-day troubles with Islamic terrorism are the consequence, because religous and ethnic extremism are what survive after more reasonable responses to that kind of aggression fail.

          • Dumbedup August 4, 2016 at 9:21 pm #

Revelation and change happens when people share insights.

Looking back I suspect that the military coerced Carter into that failed rescue attempt of the Iranian hostages to make him appear impotent. Then we were presented with the candidate on a white horse. Our history is littered with intrigue and coincidences which to me only makes it more likely that there is a deep state that survives regardless of who is elected.

I agree with Thomas Frank when he said that, “bad government is the product of rule by people who believe that government is bad.” I don’t really care whether government is big, small or medium. I just want it to work. Cutting budgets to reduce taxes and government size only confirms the bias.

          • sprawlcapital August 5, 2016 at 1:40 pm #

We all remember when Reagan said Government is not the solution. Government is the problem.

He liked to pronounce it “gubmint”, like the ignorant father of Huck Finn said it, in the Mark Twain novel.

      • Frankiti August 1, 2016 at 4:28 pm #

The country, power and control, has always been this way, the difference being that today there is less control over information and simply more of it. Billions of 0s and 1s poking holes in the shroud renders it invisible and pointless.

    • dannyboy August 1, 2016 at 10:15 am #

    • JimInFlorida August 1, 2016 at 8:38 pm #

Sorry, there’s NO EXCUSE for acting surprised about Amerika’s descent into madness. This was all foretold for the past 50 years and amplified during every shaking of our national and demographic foundations. The beginning of the end started with Reagan and his cover for the Bush Crime Family, which paved the way for the Clinton Crime Syndicate, which laid the foundation for the Bush-Cheney Police State, which built the Bastille for the Obama Oligarchy.

We were all called CONSPIRACY THEORISTS; including racists, homophobes, xenophobes, bigots, etc. There is no conspiracy theory when it all comes to pass!!!

Nobody has any excuse for not knowing how we fell into ruin.

    • PeteAtomic August 1, 2016 at 9:26 am #

Yes, and great! Our political system couldn’t have a better result than 4 parties in competition at this point.

    • newworld August 1, 2016 at 9:35 am #

Stein might the other party is Libertarian and its full of goofs and aspergers types, one wing wants to smoke pot in liberal amounts the others fuss over anarchic type mini issues and constantly root out others for small infringements upon “settled issues.”

The L party then chose two R party hacks, one a pot head (Johnson) the other a Nixonian authoritarian in Weld, so I don’t see a John Anderson type appeal there. I could be wrong.

      • Whoopdy-Do August 1, 2016 at 9:46 am #

Respectfully, I believe you are mistaken about the Libertarians.

Johnson may smoke pot, but so did W and Bill and (I’m pretty sure) Obama. Johnson has said he’ll swear off weed while in office.

Meanwhile, Johnson & Weld were both Republican governors of Democratic states, and both were re-elected. They must have been doing something right.

You sure won’t learn about them from the mainstream media. Here are their positions on the major issues.

        johnsonweld.com/issues

They still have an uphill climb, but every step is a step forward. Speaking for myself, I have been voting for the lesser of two evils all my adult life. (I’m 57.) All that every got me was more evil. I am done with that. From here on out, I vote my conscience.

Whether Hillary or Trump (probably Hillary) are elected, one half of the country will hate, and I mean hate, the President. If there was ever a time for a third choice, it’s now.

        • newworld August 1, 2016 at 9:57 am #

When they offered themselves as opposition to Left craziness they might be electable to the slightly conservative leaning masses, when they align themselves with Pot Uber alles and anarchy while still funding the welfare state, snooze.

Ron Paul was semi coherent for a L and principled, these two are hacks though I will admit they played a part in political theatre of pretending to stem the tide of craziness that is the D party coalition.

Now it is just pot, porn and gun control, a real attractant to moderate GOP voters looking for that all important sheen of “respectability”, NOT.

John Anderson offered that all important sheen of respectability because he was vetted by the left establishment as a “Respectable Republican”, these two have that but their new party strips them of it.

          • newworld August 1, 2016 at 10:05 am #

Thanks for the link I of course posted a response before reading at least the first page of the L platform.

They won’t abide by that the first time a media person hints that their “respectability” is in question it will all be thrown out.

Of course I doubt they will be actually grilled by the media but instead pandered to since they will hurt Trump.

Now if they want to loosen NFA restrictions and I’m sure that principled libertarian Bill Weld supports loosening the draconian regulations from 1986, 1968, and 1934 I will give them a thought.

        • elysianfield August 1, 2016 at 11:50 am #

“Now if they want to loosen NFA restrictions and I’m sure that principled libertarian Bill Weld supports loosening the draconian regulations from 1986, 1968, and 1934 I will give them a thought”

I certainly would like to see the regulations from 1986 amended….NFA weapons were always expensive, but the 1986 regulations made it a rich-man’s sport.

Well don’t let your child become a libertarian then.

I have a bit of it myself so I have some sympathy, but here is the deal I’ll bet you are part of the problem because your feelings are paramount.

I just wanted to be left alone and thank the merciful lord I was left alone and not scolded by some mommy having a nervous breakdown because her feelings were the sum of all life upon Earth. The Green Party platform is what Sanders was peddling to the masses only on steroids. Which is fine by me.

Here is a very good interview Chris Hedges did with Jill Stein recently where she clearly lays out how she can win in November:

        rt.com/shows/on-contact/354052-presidential-elections-trump-hillary/

I think it is very interesting how Her Royal Highness can’t stop lying!

Now it turns out she lied in her “acceptance” speech the other night about the little disabled girl in the wheelchair who had no way to get to school. Turns out she DID have a way to get to school after all. I guess Team Clinton thinks we are all too f’ing stupid to do a wee bit of research:

        thegatewaypundit.com/2016/07/wow-hillarys-tearjerker-handicapped-girl-wheelchair-dnc-speech-lie/

And then Brian Ross did an interview regarding his investigation of the DNC hack and discovered the avarice of the DNC when they bumped a donor with cancer who wanted to sit next to Slick Willie at a round table event because another donor gave them more money. The DNC operative in defending the bump said, “Too bad. Everybody gets sick.”

        youtube.com/watch?v=paS1zQPbeFg

And lastly here’s this claiming how doubtful it is that Russian intelligence was behind the hack of the DNC:

        sputniknews.com/politics/20160731/1043796618/russia-putin-trump-wikileaks-hillary.html

I am a former Sanders supporter and I am voting for Jill Stein in November.

        • abbybwood August 1, 2016 at 12:07 pm #

          Here’s more.

The witch is getting desperate. She lied through her pearly whites yesterday on Fox News claiming she KNOWS Russia did the hack without giving any evidence!:

          freedomsphoenix.com/Article/201302-2016-07-31-hillary-lies-on-fox-news-sunday.htm?From=News

Trump is no saint to be sure. But I am afraid it might be Mrs. Clinton who is mentally unsound. The lying has become her only method of communication. She is living in a fantasy land of thinking she landed in Bosnia under sniper fire and that Putin and Trump are secretly playing “Words with Friends” late into the night as they text funny put-downs of Her Highness.

It was lying that brought down Bill Clinton, not the blue dress.

And I predict it will be lying that brings down Hillary Rodham Clinton.

All we need is for a sea change to happen in the MSM where they realize the entire population is talking about all the lying and the media cannot continue to let her slide.

          • dannyboy August 1, 2016 at 7:28 pm #

I watched Hillary at the Convention and, keeping in my mind just how often she’d been cheated on, tried to do some estimation of how that affects her. I may do a study.

Good on you. Don’t allow people to attempt to make the “a vote for a non major party is a waste” sway your conscience.

Not enough Americans have a spine like yourself to vote for anybody else but the 2 majors.

    • orbit7er August 1, 2016 at 9:48 am #

well since the Demopublican Corporate Conglomerate wrested total control over the Presidential debates from the League of Women Voters there has been no Ross Perot, John Anderson, Ralph Nader or any other such disrupters of the Corporate consensus allowed upon the stage. If Bernie supporters or others really want to open up debate this is the place to start. Last election Stein got arrested for trying to gain entry to the locked up debate between Romney and Obama…
Want to open up the debate and democracy? Give the debates back to the non-partisan League of Women Voters…

      • abbybwood August 1, 2016 at 12:18 pm #

I agree that The League of Women voters should have control of the debates and who gets in them.

For God’s sake, the Republicans had debates with 17 candidates (even though one of them had to be the kiddie’s table debate)!

Obviously their debate “commission” has set the 15% threshold this high to keep out the riff-raff. No more Ross Perot quagmires!

The reason the Democrats and Republicans have gotten away with this travesty of justice is because they are PRIVATE organizations.

This was made clear at the recent DNC convention in Philly where only THEIR signs were “allowed” and elected delegates lost their credentials for “breaking the rules” by chanting “lock her up!” Ha!

Which is why the day Sanders endorsed Clinton I switched my voter registration to The Green Party. At least I can sleep well at night knowing that I have joined an organization whose policies I actually support!

Gary Johnson is a smiley kook.. he’s totally clueless.

      • JimInFlorida August 1, 2016 at 8:57 pm #

I have to agree with you on that.

Amerika is like JHK’s 300# diabetic tranny, all coked up, and needing to go to the ER. Gary Johnson’s libertarian solution would turn the patient out and say that the body will magically heal itself.

Amerika needs to be detoxed and that involves strapping the patient onto a gurney and going into the secret parts of the insane asylum where the vomiting, explosive diarrhea, and writhing can take place while the detox treatment is administered.

Reminds me of Ayn Rand’s novel, “Anthem.” Miss Rand never realized it but, the real hero of the story is NOT Equality 7-2521 but, Collective 0-0009!!!

If you read between the lines, keeping current events in mind, the world of Anthem is PRECISELY where Amerika is headed. The rubber room and straight jacket where the world of Anthem had to be put in to keep it from committing suicide! Collective 0-0009 LIVED THROUGH THE COLLAPSE! He saw the HORROR that we are just now entering into and that the only hope was to put society into the straight jacket of the novel in order for civilization to survive.

Equality 7-2521 was tampering with things that he had no knowledge of. He was playing with artifacts of a time that had nearly committed suicide. Had Miss Rand received the epiphany from her own writing, and seen the rise of ZOG Amerika, the novel would have ended very differently.

        • Frankiti August 2, 2016 at 4:34 pm #

I think he’s experiencing the deleterious effects of oxygen deprivation… all those mountain climbs.

Who decides that 15% is a cut off for a presidential debate slot? Every political party that is able to get 1% or more in the electorate ought to be in a presidential debate.

Then the people would actually get see some real difference between people running for office, not just brand A vs. brand B. that only differ on social issues, and on nearly everything else have insignificant degrees of separation on a whole host of issues.

    • stelmosfire August 1, 2016 at 12:36 pm #

You’re kidding heh? Third party candidates in the good ol’ USA have not a chance. The powers that be can not let that happen! Vote Trump as much as you may hate him, but I do believe he may shake things up a bit! Hillary and her ilk are a lying’ bunch of sh@t!

        Now, I’m thinkin’ Jill Stein.

        • AHtheHumanity August 1, 2016 at 9:43 pm #

Jill Stein is continually being mentioned in the media as the replacement for Sanders. I won’t bother to look her up because this election is not really about electing a woman to the highest office in the land, it’s about maintaining the status quo and putting a former president Clinton back in the White House.

    • outsider August 2, 2016 at 12:31 pm #

@Pete – It would be fun, but it ain’t gonna happen. The “debates” have been so rigged that a candidate must be polling at least 15% in several national polls. The D’s & R’s will conspire together to make sure that doesn’t happen. They don’t want the sheeple to be getting any new ideas, do they.

So bizarre. No doubt about it, Trump is Putin’s Pawn whether he’s witting to it or not, and I don’t think he is. Manafort has managed the campaigns of notable dictatorial Tyrants and is in bed with a number of Russian Oligarchs. This entire Election Cycle is representative of The Netherworld in the Netflix Series, Stranger Things. Beware the Demogorgon.

    • newworld August 1, 2016 at 9:39 am #

Say what you want about Putin, and you are probably right, but Russia put out a video of Putin putting in line some of his oligarchs who were screwing up a factory because they were squabbling over ownership rights amongst themselves. It was brutal political theatre, in this country our pols assume the position if one of the looter class snaps his fingers in Russia Putin snaps their fingers for them.

    • Neon Vincent August 1, 2016 at 9:51 am #

As our host wrote, “The distraction du jour is whether Trump has become an agent of Russia.” The joke about that is now Trump and Putin, a bad bromance. However, it works as a scandal. It can be summarized in one sentence, cuts against a core element of the candidate’s brand, reifies and reinforces a core negative perception, has been by the opposition with little very little pushback by the mainstream media, and caught the attention of the mainstream media–that is, until Trump attacked the parents of a Muslim soldier who spoke at the Democratic National Convention. That became the new shiny object. It also works as a scandal for all the same reasons as Trump’s inviting Russia to find Clinton’s missing emails.

Speaking of games, there were several A HREF=”http://crazyeddiethemotie.blogspot.com/2016/07/hunger-games-at-conventions.html”>”Hunger Games” references at the conventions, including Effie Trinket’s actress making fun of Trump by complaining that his acceptance speech was stealing her act and Stephen Colbert as Julius Flickerman, Caesar Flickerman’s sillier brother, doing his “Hungry for Power Games” schtick before both conventions. A comparison shows that the Democrats were better prepared for him and better organized in response than the Republicans were. That’s the story of the two conventions in a nutshell.

      • BeerBarrel August 1, 2016 at 11:25 am #

        Always easier to be second.

I was enthralled by Trump’s acceptance speech – he echoes many of my sentiments exactly.

The DNC speeches (Obama, Hillary, etc.) were devoid of anything to be excited about!

    • abbybwood August 1, 2016 at 12:23 pm #

The Democrats have their own seedy connections to the Kremlin:

Hillary’s “uranium deal” while she was Secretary of State:

      nytimes.com/2015/04/24/us/cash-flowed-to-clinton-foundation-as-russians-pressed-for-control-of-urani…

And then there is John Podesta’s Russian dealings (Clinton’s campaign manager):

      breitbart.com/2016-presidential-race/2016/08/01/report-hillary-clintons-campaign-mgr-john-podesta-sa…

Many people have wished aloud that we had a President like Putin. If Trump was merely his henchmen (which I don’t believe) that would be almost as good. The New World Order crats and cans are going to destroy this World. We need Strongmen to stop them, men like Putin and Trump. And if they are democratically elected, all the better. But better a Strongman than a democratically elected demon. The Peeps don’t know shit after all. And Democracy is the worst of all Systems in general.

The only exception would be a small, well educated, homogenous population, such a small New England towns. And even there most people don’t bother. Even when people aren’t excluded, they exclude themselves. Hierarchy is established, one way or another.

      • outsider August 2, 2016 at 12:53 pm #

Hillary v Putin = Probable WWIII

Trump v Putin = Chance for Peace, friendship with Russia (hopefully), and no new wars (not counting ISIS)

What is more important than stopping WWIII?

Seems like an easy choice for me.

        • Janos Skorenzy August 1, 2016 at 2:01 pm #

Well said, Frank. How could someone like New World not get it? Perhaps his White Nationalist bona fides aren’t up to date. Trump is the focus of our energies, the cracked lens for our Laser. If the betrays us, we’ll get another lens – a better one. You can imagine what that means.

Trump isn’t the One we’ve been waiting for. His life contains far too much ambiguity for that. He’s run over little people. Never served in the military, etc. But he’s cunning as a fox and he does appear to love America.

So even if he isn’t the One, he may be a legitimate forerunner. Giving us time to prepare until that One appears to lead us to Freedom.

          • newworld August 2, 2016 at 9:35 am #

I’m going to straight up tell you, most people and it seems you included cannot grasp guile. That is understandable.

I will spell it out plainly for those who cannot grasp the effects of misdirection, the noble people of facts and honest debate.

Khan is a conman, a low life scum who cheats us while waving the bloody flag that so distracts the uniform worshippers.

We have to overcome such cons and the only way to do that is to discredit those cons

The best way to discredit those cons are for the conmen themselves being forced to up the amperage of their lies, and then and only then can the precious facts gain traction.

So yes I want 100 days of pure Khan the Con.

          • Elrond Hubbard August 2, 2016 at 1:49 pm #

newworld, I need a little more clarity. What exactly is the con? Was their son made up? There was no such person as Humayun Khan? Did he not die fighting in Iraq? Or is it something else?

Because if the basic facts are correct, then what’s happening now doesn’t qualify as a con. What it is, is a political maneuver by the Democrats to undercut the Republican narrative that they and they alone ‘own’ patriotism, sacrifice and credibility on national security.

If you ask me, what I think is getting to you is that it’s a very effective political maneuver.

The “Hard Left” told us there was no difference between Bush or Gore in 2000 and so they voted for Nader in all their ideological purity. Turns out they were very wrong then and they are still wrong now as they cheer for Jill Stein suggesting she is a viable candidate for POTUS even though her only experience in elected politics is selectman in city politics.

    • orbit7er August 1, 2016 at 10:35 am #

To repeat – Nader did NOT cause Gore to lose the 2000 election – Gore lost it when he failed to challenge the Supreme Courts decision or even contest the results in the Congress as graphically illustrated in Fahrenheit 911.
Here is a great article on the actual votes:

The “Butterfly Ballot” sunk Gore when all the retired Democrats in Palm Beach county accidentally voted for Pat Buchanan when they intended to vote for Gore:

      • unirealist August 2, 2016 at 9:19 pm #

All Gore needed to do was state that he fully supported the Second Amendment.

If he had done that one simple thing, the election never would have been close enough to turn on a few hundred hanging chads and Sandra Day O’Connor’s travesty of judgment.

    • JMR August 1, 2016 at 10:41 am #

I always marvel at the assumption that Gore would have been better than Bush. You can’t say whether a Gore presidency would have been better or worse than Bush because it never happened. Any conjecturing about a Gore presidency is only opinions and fantasy, but not reality. It’s very possible, though unlikely, that Gore would have made an even bigger mess of the world than Bush had. Maybe Nader did us a favor by stealing his votes. (And I believe Nader said something to the effect that he wasn’t stealing votes from Gore, but that Gore was stealing votes from him, so why don’t we conjecture what a Nader presidency would have looked like as opposed to a Gore presidency?)

I myself thought there couldn’t be a worse president than Bush and then Obama strolled onto the scene.

This election makes an even better case for a third party vote than any in the past. We know for a fact that half the country will hate either Trump or Clinton. We don’t know that about Stein or Johnson.

I’d rather have Jill Stein’s humble political experience than Clinton’s proven track record of death and destruction any day.

      • SteveO August 1, 2016 at 11:16 am #

I’m willing to bet Gore would not have invaded Iraq. That’s puts him miles above Bush the lesser.

        • JMR August 1, 2016 at 11:42 am #

But that’s all it is, a bet. Who knows if his actions after 9/11 would have been better or worse? Or maybe there wouldn’t have even been a 9/11. It’s all conjecture. All we have is the past as it happened and a future that we’re uncertain of.

          • SteveO August 2, 2016 at 1:51 pm #

I’ve heard a lot of Bush/Cheney defenders say that over the years. Since Cheney was running the “cherry pick the intelligence so that we can invade Iraq” show, and he would not have been anywhere near a Gore administration, I don’t think Gore would have invaded Iraq.

Afghanistan, the grave yard of empires, is another story.

The oligarchy will not relinquish it’s stranglehold on the government, and so something will have to break before the public will exert itself & deal with the problems. I don’t trust the Republicans at all. Their track record (George W, & Reagan) isn’t very good. Most of the Democrats are bought & paid for as well. No VIABLE 3rd party candidate exists, which leaves us in a pretty pickle. It don’t look good folks. Madness is on the horizon.

    Sputnik news reports that

“The massive presence of armed police supported by heavy vehicles calls into question the Turkish government’s official line that the lock down at the Incirlik base is merely a “safety inspection.”

The US maintains 50 to 90 tactical nuclear weapons at the base. The lockdown at Incirlik follows a massive wave of protests on Thursday when pro-Erdogan nationalists took to the streets yelling “death to the US” and called for the immediate closure of the base. Security personnel dispersed the protesters before they were able to make it to the base, but with these dump trucks, conflicting reports, who knows what is brewing, so stay tuned. When it comes to Incirlik, we ought to pay attention regardless to which version of the story is correct.”

Where did Obama get his magic knowledge of what to do with foreign policy prior to his election? People voted for him anyway, in the HOPE that he was going to take us out of endless war, and meddling in other countries’ affairs. He didn’t. Oh, that’s because it’s all Hillary’s fault? That damned woman. So beguiling. Does anyone ever stop to think that’s exactly why he put her in that position?
When Bernie tried to use Hillary’s support of the Iraq invasion against her, something Democrats say makes them different from Republicans, he was taken to task publicly by the networks. Why?
It’s almost funny, the way Hillary and the DNC are trying to use the “it’s the Russians!” dodge to distract from the way they screwed over the Bernie supporters, just as Donald has been saying, and being mocked by both parties for saying it, all along. Do young people even know what the Cold War was?
That Muslim couple at the convention was so obviously supposed to be some kind of reproach or answer to Pat Smith at the Republican convention. Donald Trump didn’t kill their son and lie about it, did he?
Who makes politics out of their son’s death? Why?
The people who are all in for this sort of “gotcha” display are already on the side of the Hillary campaign. I don’t care what Donald said or didn’t say to the parents of a dead soldier. It wasn’t as bad as what Hillary said to the parents of the people killed at Benghazi.
You want the Globalists to install the Bush/Clinton New World Order or you don’t. All this PC crap is a cover to cow people into not speaking up.

Since the US is an oligarchy, not a democracy, I am amazed that so many are voting in these so-called democratic elections. Especially since we all know the George Bush victory was the beginning of vote counting fraud by the authorities. The oligarchs want Hillary, and if the whole country votes for Trump, Hillary will still win the election.

This election is not for a president who serves the people, it is for the next Terrorist In Chief, who serves the oligarchs. The US is the Command Central of world terrorism, asserting its will on the world through its War Of Terror (aka War On Terror).

With Hillary in command as chief terrorist, we will be on the brink of nuclear war with Russia, and I’m sure China will help out. Personally, I think this is a good thing. The US reign of terror needs to be stopped. Clueless, ignorant USians will not stop the oligarchs and their minions in government and the military security complex. Russia and China will have to do it.

So let the great lizard take office and recklessly put all our heads on the chopping block. It’s the American way, and it’s coming to its dead end destination: annihilation. I’s a well-deserved fate for this thieving, murderous nation.

We all recall Wolfowitz, Cheney, Rumsfeld and Co. getting together with their “Project for a New American Century” where part of the plan was to usher in a “New World Order” with the United States as the world’s sole super power which would give us “full spectrum military dominance” over the entire planet.

In their paper they said, “This could be a long process absent a catalyzing event, like a New Pearl Harbor.”

One year after they released their paper 9/11 happened.

And of course everyone knows about Gen. Wesley Clark being handed a classified memo at The Pentagon a few weeks after 9/11 detailing plans to “invade and take over seven Middle Eastern countries in five years starting with Iraq then Somalia, Sudan, Lebanon, Libya, Syria and ending with Iran.”:

      youtube.com/watch?v=9RC1Mepk_Sw

But now it appears that the planners of the United States “taking over the world” in their “project” may not come to pass after all:

      rt.com/news/354013-us-global-dominance-2035/

Spending trillions of dollars on wars and trying to militarily dominate the world will NOT rebuild our crumbling infrastructure or build new schools or mass transit systems linking our cities or any other positive development that would make Americans lives “richer”.

Any third grader could figure this out.

The American military is a worn out husk, generally. Perhaps the airforce can muster up its forces but the rest are in sore shape.

The USMC lost an older Hornet aircraft in a training exercise last week and from that I learn that maybe 40% of that class of aircraft is serviceable on any given day.

Never mind that American air and navy power is predicated on situations not much different than 1945, uncontested seas with no anti-ship missles or sub threats, and an airforce flying from supposedly untouchable airfields like it is England or Saipan 1945.

I predicted this and I predicted that those opposing the American Empire would watch and learn and wait for its forces to wear out and become basically a one note Johnny.

Anyone who has been paying any attention at all to history was telling you all last year that the Murdering Bitch from Arkansas will ascend her throne next January and would be happy to cover any and all bets to the contrary. History has shown us that despite Mr. Eisenhower’s stern warning (and the lesson of JFK), the real owners of America, the North American Krupp “family” have installed a president, or rather their CEO ever since their successful coup on 22 Nov 63. The only exception being Jimmy Carter, but then even Spanky from Our Gang could have handily defeated the Bush Sr. dotard who was too stupid to look down instead of only in the mirror.

If it was little deceiving that Bonnie Clinton was not allowed to take her place eight years ago with Clyde as her First Man, rest assured that THAT was a masterful stroke of politics. Put Mr. Monkey Ears in first and no matter how bad a job he does or how much degradation he brings to the nation, the Race Card which he carries allows not only him, but the “party” that birthed him to continue their rape and carnage unimpaired into the future. Put Rodan in eight years ago and even Bernie Sanders would waltz to victory as a Republican. We have no choice, you have no choice but to STFU and get back to work, if you can find a job that is. Keep the wheels turning and the gears grinding and watch with vicarious joy as the (Clinton Cash) Crime family plunders not only America, but every other country in the world as they amass a fortune unparalleled in history. Oh yes, and a nice little war with Russia, real or contrived as well. It ought to be grand entertainment.

  19. Poet August 1, 2016 at 11:33 am #

It is only August 1. From now to Labor Day is a political eternity. Then from Labor Day to election day there are two more political eternities. This election is a scripted professional wrestling match with lots of twists and turns thrown in to somehow keep the ADD attention span of the junk food eating and junk media gazing US electorate.

The plain and unvarnished truth is that both Hillary and The Donald belong to the same establishment and there won’t be a dime’s worth of difference in what they do–just their style of doing it.

Now if all the disaffected Bernie voters flock to Jill Stein and the Greens and a significant number of “angry white males” (everybody boo and hiss on cue!) flock to the Libertarians, and if this election is as close as many polls claim it to be, then the Greens and Libertarians together could possibly deny either party the electoral majority they need to claim victory.

In such a case it would be thrown into the House where the overwhelmingly Republican majority would have the choice of either Trump or Hillary (both of whom they despise!) or maybe some other establishment drone (JEB! Bush and John Kaisich come to mind) whom the rest of the country detests.

Although a snickering good dilemma which couldn’t happen to a more deserving bunch of political courtesans, such an outcome could easily be the trigger event for a prolonged civil war within this country. Regardless of who ends up in the White House, I believe a credible argument could be made for 2016 being the last national election for the US.

    • shotho August 1, 2016 at 11:44 am #

Good argument for voting third party. And, yes, I’ve heard it said that this will be the last “normal” election cycle in America. Chaos over the next four years – social, economic and potitical – will guarantee that power will be apportioned differently in the future.

      • messianicdruid August 1, 2016 at 1:26 pm #

The last “normal election” was pre-electronic.

” on mighty gusts of saccharine gas”

Yes, with vague traces of Polident, Kaopectate, and Velveeta “cheese” gone sour….an olfactory delight, indeed, and vastly preferred to the “stank” of her political baggage.

  21. I’ve become a single issue voter, not a partisan. In 2012 it was the environment- I went with Obama because Romney said he’d dismantle the EPA.

In 2016, I’m going with Trump because the main driver of environmental problems is overpopulation. As a west-coast dweller I am ground zero for the Asian invasion. Every American added to this planet is worth, say, 80 Bangladeshis. Or 4 Mexicans. It is a simple calculus. More Americans is unequivocally bad for the planet. And bad for Americans. The infinitesimal dilution of the relative power of your vote isn’t significant. Unless you factor in timescales. For example the country’s population increased by 50% since 1980. Now your vote is worth 33% less. Kind of a big deal when you spent your entire life in that gap.

Professor of philosophy Philip Cafaro has published on the subject of Environmentalism’s overpopulation blind spot.

I never quite understood the policy of packing them in, in a state that doesn’t have enough water to go around as it is, sometimes. Don’t all people need water?

    • JMR August 1, 2016 at 12:34 pm #

You’re voting for the wrong candidate. If overpopulation is your main concern you should be voting for Hillary. She’s much more likely to get us into a nuclear exchange with Russia and China. The detonations, radiation and subsequent nuclear winter will certainly thin the human population by a few billion.

    • abbybwood August 1, 2016 at 1:07 pm #

I understand your one issue thinking.

For me it is nuclear war and preventing it.

I think Hillary Clinton would be the most likely candidate to usher in that unthinkable scenario.

But other than that, the TPP being passed is probably the most important issue in the election. Even though Clinton claims she is now against it, just a year ago she referred to it as “the gold standard of trade deals” and now she has chosen a VP candidate who was solidly for the TPP up until about a week ago. Obama is definitely for it and will probably try to pass it during a lame duck session.

      Trump is solidly against it.

So, for me, a vote for Stein is a twofer. I get to vote my conscience and take a vote away from Clinton.

If Trump wins I believe there will be no TPP and no WW III (although admittedly Trump could ef up a whole lot of other things).

      • dannyboy August 1, 2016 at 7:50 pm #

        Trump IS WWlll

        • Walter B August 1, 2016 at 9:47 pm #

WWIII, never happen. Nothing ever happens, everything is wonderful, we are entering a New Golden Age of Prosperity, no? All it takes is a positive attitude, a catchy phrase or two, and a magnanimous, caring, loving leader like Hillary Rodan Clinton to take us to the Promised Land, Hurrah!

          • dannyboy August 3, 2016 at 12:58 am #

And the opposite with Trump. Easy choice, huh?

        • Walter B August 2, 2016 at 9:38 am #

And another point in this regard and I am no Trump supporter. Hillary is the one rattling her saber in the direction of Moscow both in the Middle East and the Ukraine and as the Whore of the Military Industrial Complex has a history of attacking the Russians at every opportunity. If anyone is going to start a World War it will be her, though my guess is that both sides will orchestrate it for their common purposes.

      • I don’t understand the WWIII threat scenario. Can someone direct me to a credible explanation of this?

My operating assumption is that mutually assured destruction remains a convincing deterrent for major powers, along with, among other things, economic interdependence.

The US retains the world’s largest fleet of nuclear powered submarines, each with an arsenal of ICBM’s with multiple independently-targetable warheads worldwide ready to launch anytime independently of command or control from Colorado.

The nuclear threat of a dirty bomb or accident is far higher but would be limited in scope.

As for Stein, I’ve been to a late-season rally, in 2012. There was no spirit. The ghost of the foregone conclusion is very real. No name recognition, not on the ballot in many states, and their platform is being co-opted by the Dems thanks to Sanders. She won’t even make 2%. She most certainly will not make 15% for the debates.

As for Johnson, he has zero credibility. He will put up similar numbers. I hope nobody is wasting contribution money at this stage.

“How Hillary must wish she could send a Navy SEAL team into Ecuador’s London embassy to ventilate that hacker-rat!” –JHK

“the Murdering Bitch from Arkansas will ascend her throne next January” –Walter B

I think JHK and Walter B are onto something. On his HBO show Friday night, comedian Bill Maher urged Hillary Rodham Clinton to not run from her negatives and the widespread belief among conservatives that she’s is crooked — but to use that to her advantage.

“Since half the country will believe an evil cartoon version of Hillary Clinton no matter what she says or does,” he said, “she has to embrace it.”

“This year, the voters are not in the mood for steady as she goes. They want a ruthless mafia boss who will protect their frightened souls which is why Hillary has to own all the nasty things the haters say and run as the Notorious HRC.”

Republicans have spent the last three decades branding Clinton as “a serial killer, and a traitor, a terrorist mastermind, a sex-addicted lesbian and … a devil worshiper.

A right-wing dossier alleges that Bill and Hillary Clinton had secretly killed more than 90 people — which she could spin to show her toughness compared to her angry-tweeting opponent.

“Hillary should say, ‘I can’t wipe out ISIS? Please. I will wipe them out and make it look like a skiing accident. … My pantsuit is stitched together from the carcasses of the multitudes I have made disappear.’”

She should end every one of her campaign ads with, ‘I’m crooked Hillary and not only do I approve this message but I will cut a bitch.’”

Then Maher’s argument took a decidedly “Orange Is the New Black” turn as he scripted her response to people who think she’s a criminal who belongs behind bars.

“People say, ‘Lock me up.’ Fine, lock me up. You think I’m scared of a stretch in the joint?” I could run this motherf–ka from the inside. El Chapo got nothing on me.”

    • stelmosfire August 1, 2016 at 12:56 pm #

I think you are onto something there wpa_ccc, for Americans may be able to stand up and degrade those who disagree with them about abortion, deviant sexual proclivities, or the color of the other guy’s tie, but they have never had the balls to condemn any of those criminals that promote their livelihoods by murder for profit now have they? Al Capone, Bonnie & Clyde, Don Coreleone, were even revered by Americans in great number and the list goes on infinitely. Americans do not genuinely care about anybody else getting whacked as long as they can drive to Walmart for cheap cheese curls as our wise host so often points out, they only care about themselves and hide from the violence as best they can. Keep quiet, keep your head low and let the bad guys have their way – idolize them even, lest they turn their sights onto you.

I had a good friend many years ago that I worked with that told me he was voting to re-elect Bill the Raper Clinton to his second term. When I asked him how he could actually vote for that bag of human garbage he said that “Bill Clinton screwed the whole country and got away with it, I respect that”. I just walked away speechless. Hoping or looking for reform, solutions or order through the US political system, government of academia is a fool’s errand. The answers do not lie in these institutions. The people capable of resolution do not exist in these institutions. It is a losing proposition. Yet, we continue to try and make it work through these constructs for decades and decades. There isn’t a party or person that can do anything for us.

The resolution for all of our problems and unworkability depends upon the resolution of the human mind. And that most certainly hasn’t happened yet (add psychiatry, psychology and psychoanalysis to the ineffective and clueless institutions mentioned in the above paragraph).

Somehow everyone missed the big story. A secret campaign of Internet censorship, designed to help Hillary. They went over the top though and banned the hardcore liberals along with everyone else. Now many liberals are scratching their heads, wondering where their free speech went.

You can’t really predict the future because people won’t always act the way you expect them to but will REACT in ways that you hadn’t anticipated.” — Staff of The Daily Bell

Here’s the rest of a very trenchant article:

      thedailybell.com/news-analysis/financial-times-lies-about-experts-populism-and-internet-truth/

Looked at in a holistic sense, there are very limited, table-scrap benefits to the commonweal (if you compare the amount of swag and claims-on-now-and-future-swag held by a few thousands of [so-called] people on the planet).

By so peering beyond our tiny and blinkered slice of personal concern, we can see that a Great Crumbling has to occur in order for a new paradigm to assert its truths and limitations. Aye, there’s the rub… and the very hard and deadly part. I would say that a descent into the dark grip of total fascistic control is likely the only path by which a smaller portion of us will stagger into the future. Look for hard lessons and learn them quickly; collapse and the seizing of power by the unscrupulous is in rapid progress. (As always in human history, these things tend to take a while to get all the gears positioned and meshed to create forward momentum. “Next” does not mean “Better”. It’s a cumulative thing.)

Unfortunately for the uber-statists and their loyal, boot-licking minions, not everyone is soaking up the teevee’d messages from the puppeteers. (They don’t call the product “Roundup” for nuthin’.) …And I would venture to say that a large segment of the Millennials see the screwing they’re about to receive from the current globalist order. I doubt that action coming from that quarter is widely anticipated, but I don’t think they’ll lay down as quietly as those blinded by imperial hubris would like them to. Stay flexible.

    JHK-

So as to the email flap at the DNC, it is rather like your neighbor seeing you smooching on your secretary at the hotel bar. Now your neighbor doesn’t like you much anyway, because your dog keeps shitting in her Irises. She tells her best friend at the 4H booster club meeting that month, and the friend tells your wife.

Now you are in divorce court.

You are pissed at the neighbor and really, really pissed at the friend. But never, ever, does it occur to you that you shouldn’t have fucked the secretary in the first place

As to third parties, there are apparently discussions between the Libertarians and the Greens to target specific states, deny both Trump and HRC an electoral college majority, and force the Presidency to the House and the Veep to the Senate. We know the House hates Trump. This could lead to a deadlock there, and voila, President Ryan!

That is the equivalent of drawing a natural Royal Flush, but hey, stranger things have happened.

More inside baseball: the issue of faithless electors…

    Farewell, rocky mountains!

Today is a Day of the Russian Navy

    youtube.com/watch?v=3S8PARcmHYg

    Farewell, rocky mountains,
The Fatherland is calling for a feat.
We have came into open sea
For a harsh and long-distance campaign.
The waves are moaning and weeping
And splashing onto the ship board.
    Rybachij [peninsula], our native land,
    Has dissolved in distant fog.

    A severe sea wave
    Is toughly rocking our ship,
    Lifting up and throwing again
    Into the boiling chasm.
    I won’t be back soon,
But we have enough fire for the battle.
I know, my friends, that I can’t live without sea
And the sea is lifeless without me.

    By a ponderous sailor’s step
    I go toward the enemies
    And later with heroic victory
I will return to the rocky shore.
Though the waves are moaning and weeping
And splashing onto the ship board,
    Rybachij, our native land,
    Will gladly greet the heroes.

If you believe the first priority is avoiding war (especially a full scale nuclear war), then you must decide which candidate is more likely to take us to war. To me, the choice is clear: we must not elect Hillary. Trump is a very high price to pay, but we must pay it.

The commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars says Donald Trump’s criticism of the parents of an Army captain killed in Iraq is unacceptable.

Brian Duffy, head of the 1.7-million-member VFW, said in a statement Monday that election year or not, the nation’s oldest and largest war veterans group will not tolerate anyone berating a Gold Star family member for exercising their free speech. Gold Star families are those that have lost a close relative in military service.

Said Duffy: “There are certain sacrosanct subjects that no amount of wordsmithing can repair once crossed.”

Duffy, the national commander of the VFW, said giving one’s life to the nation is the greatest sacrifice, followed closely by all Gold Star families who have a right to make their voices heard.

Now Trump has offended the veterans of foreign wars. Trump should have never mixed it up with Muslims. VFW is 1.7 million strong, and Trump is going to lose that fight.

The New York Military Academy Trump attended did the right thing in relieving the 17-year old Trump of all command responsibilities. Dishonorable. Immature. Narcissist. Sadistic bully. And Trump hasn’t changed in the 50 years since he attended the New York Military Academy.

    • JMR August 1, 2016 at 3:19 pm #

Mr. Khan chose to stand before the entire nation and politicize his son’s death while using it to attack Trump about supposed racist comments he has made against Muslims. Although every comment that Trump has supposedly made against Muslims has been taken out of context by a media bent on smearing him for daring run against their pre-ordained queen HRC.

The irony here is that HRC used Mr. and Mrs. Khan for political gain and it is HRC who voted for the Iraq war in the first place and continued to cause mayhem across the Middle East as secretary of state, continuing to put our troops in harm’s way.

Shouldn’t Trump be able to defend himself against this cynical political ploy?

And who is really the racist? The woman who has been directly and indirectly responsible for the deaths of thousands of Muslims or the man who is simply trying to communicate that we need sensible immigration reform? If HRC and Obama really respected the military and servicemen and women they would take them out of harm’s way in these perpetual and silly wars the US has been fighting for the past 14 years. But guess what, that’s not going to happen. Just today, in yet another illegal military action, Obama sent planes over Libya to bomb again for the second time in the past 5 years.

    • monkey_flower August 1, 2016 at 4:04 pm #

Really ? Get out of my country. Go live in a mud hut in Pakistan. Bye !

    • Eh? You don’t get “command responsibilities” at the Academy.

The veneration of the armed forces is the stupidest thing about the current zeitgeist in America. These people are pathetic, and the public is enabling them… to get into subprime loans for muscle cars, neck tattoos, and mortgages.

The VFW is nothing but a whiner’s brigade. The current crop of vets fought a war of catered meals, air conditioning, and cramming themselves in metal boxes and blowing people up via remote control… when they weren’t filling out paperwork. Back home, they get showered with undeserved praise.

“America’s Heroes”… this kind of speciously hyperbolic language is bad when used in terms of an abstraction, for instance, “America is the greatest country in the world” (M. Obama, but really, all pols say this) but particularly bad when referring to social class or individual people. In this case, mostly disadvantaged lower class and impressionable young people, who now have a socially sanctioned reason to feel superior, and apart from, others.

The VFW will continue its PR campaign as long as it can to convince us all that the Iraq war was meaningful, the military is meaningful, and above all, the VFW is meaningful. Otherwise people, even verterans, might think, maybe it isn’t and wasn’t. Which would be more accurate.

“No one has given more for our freedom and our security than our Gold Star families” –President Barack Hussein Obama today speaking to Disabled American Veterans in Atlanta.

Anybody disagree with Obama’s remarks today? Obama (and Michelle) has done more for the military than Bush ever did. Obama and HRC respect the military, unlike Trump.

Trump should not attack Gold Star families, should not have called the US military a “disaster”, should not have said McCain is not a war hero, should not have been a bully who makes fun of the disabled.

That Su-24 was on non-alert recon and got ambushed. In other words, they got caught with their pants down.

The Turkish F-16’s broadcast warnings on a radio channel not likely to be monitored by the Russians. BUT, because they DID broadcast warnings, they had LEGAL cover to attack and Putin knew it.

The Turks could claim they met all the legal requirements to respond to an alleged invasion of their airspace. Otherwise, I think Putin would have sent a thousand cruise missiles into that Turkish airbase that the F-16’s came from. WW3 would have been underway and the world would be a very different place today.

it also means that Russia has to get serious about establishing its right to hold sway over its own region. Half measures and reluctance to act as an imperial power only invites U.S. predation.

In other words, to confront the natural laws of entropy, arrest the trend, and use political will to set the acceptable floor of human behavior and force the trend line back up to conditions that History has rewarded.

In modern times, that might require a forced reset to 1953 America. No doubt, it would be the equivalent of taking JHK’s insane diabetic tranny, strapping him down, and doing an intensive detox of body and mind. While initially traumatic, the patient would be saved and the elements of a sound mind restored.

Let them stampede! In all likelihood it won’t happen, but a much stronger Libertarian Party could siphon off enough electoral votes in a close election to throw it into the House. Trump would take it.

George Wallace and General Curtis Lemay almost sent it to the House in 1968 with five states and 46 electoral votes. A slight shift of votes in a couple of states would have done it.

Trump got 13 million votes in the primaries. He’ll need about 50 million more in the general. The critics ask, “is there that much ‘white trash’ in America”? Damn the disdain!

If their task seems very difficult and time consuming (which it shouldn’t) give them $5 each. If they’re Black, give them “fiddy cent”………………….just kidding.

Want a refreshing change? Visit France. There, no tipping is expected, anywhere. You just round up the bill – restaurant, taxi, whatever – to the nearest Euro. If you give a five extra Euros on a 50 or 100 euro total bill, they’re very thankful and genuinely appreciative. Puts the stereotype of “rude” French to rest. But any unaware North American who tips 15 – 20% is not turned down!

Seems that tips are included in the bill – along with a 20% VAT (value added tax), their national sales tax. Frankly, including everything in the bill’s bottom line is a nice approach – you don’t feel nickeled and dimed at every turn. With great wine available in grocery stores for 5 or 6 Euros (about $6-7 U.S.), prices are still very reasonable.

And no, France is not in a state of siege. Life goes on and cafes and restaurants are full of locals and tourists enjoying life. A few nut bars are not going to change their way of living.

Depends if they scratch the walls, muddy the floor, or dent the furniture.
Depends if they’re polite, punctual and/or simply expect the tip.
Do they take away the boxes and packing material?

The more important answer is to the following question:

If your daughter is a grown adult living on her own, why does she have to ask her dad?

If your daughter is a grown adult living on her own, why does she have to ask her dad? – Frank

        ==============

Now I know why it is up to me to be the nit-picking pedant around these parts. You, monkey, wpa and Janos are not careful readers.

She is my daughter-IN-LAW, not daughter.

She is not the wife of my second son, Thom who lives with his ‘squeeze’ of 10 years. I have mentioned this several times in the past.

My D-I-L is married to my first son, Q Jr. so she is not living on her own.

American culture is not my D-I-L’s first culture and so she is sometimes unsure of herself but doesn’t want to make a social faux pas. My son is equally as unsure of himself concerning certain social customs. They erroneously think I am the fount of all wisdom… that I could negotiate a new car deal better than Trump, etc. I have a reputation that is impossible to live up to, even as a pool player. Not sure why.

Monkey, I assume you mean $20 each for two delivery men ‘raking in’ $10 – $15 per hour for a 15 minute job seems a little excessive. I certainly don’t think their tip money should exceed their hourly pay rate.

But thanks, Frank, for the reminders about scratching the walls, punctuality etc. I am just naive enough to believe there will be no problem in those regards.

I will pass along all your comments to my D-I-L.

        • Frankiti August 1, 2016 at 6:45 pm #

Hmm.. she calls you ‘dad’ and you hasten to remind her, only in law.

I assume the head board is going to the 2nd floor and will have to be installed on the bed and the couch is at least 32-36 inches wide and needs to be unpacked and shoehorned through the front door and around the corner. I’d offer them a soft drink and flip them a double sawbuck so they can pick-up lunch somewhere. I am sure they already moved about 3000 lbs of crap that day. I carried living people up and down stairs for a living. Only twice was I offered a tip ( we could not accept them anyways). Both times by recent Russian immigrants. I think perhaps that’s how they operate in Russia. I would tell people if they wanted to show their gratitude they could bake some cookies and drop them off at the Firehouse. We got LOTS of cookies!

          • Q. Shtik August 2, 2016 at 1:13 pm #

Thanks for your interesting take on this tipping issue. The house is a split level so the headboard could be going either up a half level or down a half level, but most likely up (there are beds on both levels). I hadn’t even thought about the fact that the delivery men might be required to install the headboard.

I know nothing about the couches they have purchased but if I judge by the couches they are getting rid of there should be no problem maneuvering them into the living room.

In any case I will forward your comment to my son and D-I-L. Thanks.

I don’t understand why you, Janos, keep insisting that I must apologize for that tragedy – the most plausible explanation that I’ve read that it was a contract hit by Trotsky – the Russian Neocon of the time – paid for by Wall Street and City of London because they didn’t want to return a very substantial gold loan from the Czar that went into funding of the Federal Reserve.

War in Syria, Armageddon and Election Campaign in US

    kunstler.com/clusterfuck-nation/going-full-whig/#comment-262889

The main fighting in Syria is not far from the hill of Megiddo, where, according to the Apocalypse, Armageddon will be fought – the final battle between the Good and the Evil that will affect the lives of everyone living on the planet Earth.

And attached to this battle is truly apocalyptic nature of apocalyptic religious sect of Devil worshipers – The Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL), which is trying to prove its commitment to Good by burning people alive on camera and by cutting their heads off (including children) and by making selling women to brothels and their husbands and children for body parts one of the main resource of their economy.

The war in Syria is the main theme of this election campaign(obvious or not), the inevitable winner of which was declared Hillary Clinton, who has long ago announced Wahhabism and Saudi Arabia to be the main defenders of the true Islam, and in the beginning of her election campaign declared that she will force all Churches in the United States fulfill their obligations as a non-profit organizations that provide religious and ceremonial services, to marry homosexuals, without discriminating on grounds of sexual orientation.

    • pequiste August 2, 2016 at 12:34 am #

May I draw your attention to a pre-Apocalypse prophesy concerning Damascus, Syria:

      Isaiah 17:1King James Version (KJV)

Assad’s enemies – Nusra, Al Qaida, Sultan RecipE’s Turkey, Caliphate (ISIS,) are doing their best to achieve that. See what they all have done to Aleppo.

The war in Syria (and also Libya) needs to be OWNED by Barry O. and Hillary. Talk about an EPIC fuck up; just like Bush I & II’s EPIC fuck-up in and of Iraq. Both Democrats and Republican administrations are the responsible parties for these gargantuan catastrophes.

Next abomination on the social front will be Hillary’s brave stand for the inclusion of polygamous marriage in America as a right for Yzlamik persons but forbidden to Mormons or other faith groups.

Finca, as much as I dislike Hillary Clinton, and there are legitimate reasons not to like her, lets not muck it up with spurious arguments. She has never said that or even implied it. You may have inferred it but it requires quite a leap of logic to do so. If such a law were passed not a single justice who sits on this court, including any of the three women, would vote to uphold it because it would fly in the face of constitutional precedent and jurisprudence.

Not Rome. France. HRC was pure Joan of Arc. There is no stopping her. Especially not with a reckless narcissist like the Donald. HRC already has 275 electoral votes and may go over 300. (To become president you need 270. Trump cannot get there.)

In the 1980s, Trump tried to have disabled veteran street vendors thrown off Fifth Avenue, accusing the Vietnam-era soldiers of ruining how the street in front of Trump Tower looked.

Before his presidential campaign, Trump’s charitable foundation gave more to the Clintons than to veterans organizations.

Trump has suggested he would be tremendous for veterans if elected president, but his efforts so far have been questionable.

In July 2015, Trump announced that he would be setting up a hotline for veterans to share their stories about the need to reform the VA. Today, a call to the hotline leads merely to a voicemail box, which instructs the caller to send them an email.

Draft-dodger Trump has stiffed veterans again and again. He disrespects the military and disrespects veterans. Vote for anyone except Trump (HRC, Stein, Johnson, etc.)

    • dannyboy August 1, 2016 at 8:10 pm #

“The cameras cut to poor brooding Bernie seated just above the delirious groundlings, frowny-faced, arms crossed, brow beetled beneath his white Corinthian curls, perhaps suffering the effects of cheese-steak poisoning. He’d endorsed Saint Hillary with all the passion of a Seventh Avenue soft goods jobber hawking last-year’s resort-wear, and the next day he would up-and-quit the Democratic Party — as if that was not sending a message to the true believers.”

Sanders’ quitting the party is sending the more powerful message with this type of passive-aggressive behavior, that he is up against a more powerful authority, that he is not only unable to make his own choice, but that he is unable to face the consequences if he does. Passive aggressive behavior is not merely the route of the immature or emotionally stunted, it is the resort of the disenfranchised and the vanquished.

Yes, it has come to that. I took a different tack in my comments, but you may just as well be right. He may be scared. Rush said, If he has betrayed Clinton at that point, actually in the Convention – he would have simply disappeared or had an accident.

And all ya’all always thought the danger was from the Right! Or from the Evangelicals. The real danger was always from the Left. Your fears of Theocracy have been diminishingly likely for generations now. Christians have never been anywhere near united enough for that, not here in America. You guys conflated having some basic common and traditional moral code for Theocracy. And by reacting against it, made us all the poorer.

    • Elrond Hubbard August 2, 2016 at 10:11 am #

This is crappy armchair psychologizing. Bernie’s game was about changing the Democratic party by challenging its establishment from the left. He went in understanding that the fix was in, but like any good negotiator, he started out by demanding much more (i.e. the nomination) than he was willing to accept (e.g. concessions from the establishment, like support for free college tuition and the rest of it).

Bernie accomplished quite a bit. He demonstrated how to organize a serious political campaign without relying on big-money donors, and now that the nomination is a done deal he isn’t selling that organization to the Democratic party to be co-opted and digested by the neoliberals. Good for him.

      • Frankiti August 2, 2016 at 4:44 pm #

Or so the spin on capitulation goes. Why did he back out? Why did he not pursue an independent run? This is his last go of it. What is he possibly going to accomplish as a senator of… wait for it… Vermont? So he is either lacking the mettle, or he was put in his place.

And spare me the canard of his third candidacy putting Trump in office. The third parties have been gaining enough traction to already act as kingmakers.

        Bernie is a wimp.
        Bernie got b*tch slapped.

At the DNC, how come Major Hassan’s mother wasn’t trotted out, or the Muslim EM in Iraq who tossed a grenade into his COs tent back in ’04? Didn’t fit the agenda? Might reveal some home truths? Not conducive to the message Islam is the Religion of Peace, despite all evidence (bodies piling up across the globe) to the contrary?

In any case, have the revived Russian and Chinese Navies taken note of the USS Harvey Milk — The Good Ship Lollipop — its gotta have the Admirals shaking in their boots … speaking of boots the footwear on this ship replicas of the iconic Ruby Slippers of Wizard of Oz fame, pink panties, fishnet stockings, part of the ‘New Navy’ uniform. A sight to behold, this ship and its crew, unmatched in Naval history going back to the Phonicians. We might see how combat ready this remarkable vessel is soon enough in a confrontation with the resurgent Chinese in the Pacific near the Spratly Islands, or the Russians in the Black Sea. Whether or not the Chinese or Russians have seen fit to introduce homosexuality or ‘Gay issues’ on a command level into their own armed forces is not known.

    • wpa_ccc August 1, 2016 at 5:52 pm #

The Russians and Chinese both have homosexuals in their armed forces. They didn’t have to “introduce homosexuality” … it is a natural phenomena in every armed force in the world. Some recognize it, some don’t. But ignoring it doesn’t eliminate it.

Just to illustrate that you and brh, and all those who think LBGTQ in the military is strange, are in the minority, going against the tide of history, here are the countries that allow openly gay, lesbian and bisexual people to serve:

Albania, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bahamas, Belgium, Bermuda, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Republic of Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, North Korea, Norway, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay

The rest of the countries have gay, lesbian, or bisexual people serving but they are unable.. yet … to be open about their sexual orientation.

      Get over it.

    • wpa_ccc August 1, 2016 at 6:03 pm #

      “Didn’t fit the agenda?”

LOL! No, they were not US Marines. They were not US war heroes. They were not being honored at the DNC, so their parents were not invited because, as you say, it didn’t fit the agenda. The Democratic Party is pro-United States military. Unlike Trump, the Democratic Party doesn’t have the hots for Putin.

      BRH,
I would expect that the next Russian navel vessel to roll from the slips will be the missile frigate “Danny White…ski”

How would you like to see yourself as a newly minted seaman, in a waterfront bar near the naval base, and have to announce yourself as a crewman on the Harvey Milk…this would not escape notice of any swab or marine in the bar…shore leave will lose its luster.

Churchill once snorted that the only traditions of the British Navy were Rum, the lash, and buggery….

Elysianfield (love that handle, where baseball was 1st played in Hoboken, across the river from Manhattan, 1839)

Even under normal circumstances, if you saw another US or British ship tied up in some foreign port, it was wise to locate and avoid the bar the crew was hanging out at. I remember one time in Bermuda we were in this bar on the waterfront, suddenly our Chief looked up with a rather alarmed look on his face. “Boys, it might be time to clear out before we get our ass kicked, the British are coming”. The carrier ‘HMS Ark Royal’ was coming up over the horizon, bagpipe playing Scotsman up on the flying bridge … you could hear him wailing over the 1MC. Those guys could drink, and they could brawl.

The Harvey Milk sailors might be in for a hard go of it, no pun intended. Unless, of course, human nature itself has changed in the past few decades.

Instead, she left after her first year to pursue a modeling career in Milan.

As usual, I’m not voting this November. Why ruin my streak of not voting in the last 11 presidential elections? Vote for one of these jokers? Hardly. I’m not for any of the 3rd party people either since they can never win. And don’t tell me I must vote for one of them even if they can’t win because it sends a message. To whom? The American public? What a joke. Since when has any message ever got Americans off their fat asses? Even the Revolution had the backing of only 5% or so of the public.

TPTB? Ooh, they’d really be shaking in their boots.

My conscience is clear – I’m not voting for anyone the corrupt system throws at me. I’ll start voting again when the old system is replaced with a new, effective one.

Considering how inept, corrupt and/or wrongheaded candidates have been throughout much of our history, why not try a new idea? Have an AI choose one person to become president. That person, under law, must serve a whole term. Any US citizen is in that pool. It would be like being drafted to go into the army, or winning the lottery, and the individual chosen would be considered a trustee of a trust whose beneficiaries are all American citizens. The same could apply to congress and governors, and the US Constitution would still be in effect.

beantown, I respect your choice but do not share it. I choose to vote because Trump is anti semitic and I want to vote against the whiny little bitch. Trump tweeted a meme that used dog-whistle anti-Semitism to announce that his political rival, “Crooked Hillary,” had “made history.”

The meme Trump tweeted prominently featured the Star of David, a holy symbol of the Jewish religion that Nazis attempted to pervert by forcing Jews over the age of 6 to sew it onto their clothing during Hitler’s reign.

Emblazoned onto the Star of David in Trump’s meme are the words “Most Corrupt Candidate Ever!”

The star lies atop a giant pile of money.

At the least I will be able to tell my grandchildren (who are all against Trump), that I cast a vote against Trump.

      • wpa_ccc August 1, 2016 at 8:25 pm #

The image Trump used was previously featured on an Internet message board for the alt-right, a digital movement of neo-Nazis, anti-Semites and white supremacists newly emboldened by the success of Trump’s rhetoric — as early as June 22, over a week before Trump’s team tweeted it.

beantown, I am committed to do what I can. Never again a holocaust!

        • beantownbill. August 1, 2016 at 8:59 pm #

I’m not sure Trump is anti-Semitic. I don’t think he conducts any oversight on what his campaign staff puts out – he doesn’t have the attention span. This fact alone is much too scary for me.

You know Hillary is corrupt. Why vote for her?

I think the name “neo-nazi” is a misnomer. It should just be nazi because there’ve been anti-Semites for at least 2000 years. There’s nothing “neo” about them. As you well know, CFN has a bad nazi infestation in the comments section with the likes of Janos, jiminflorida and others. It is commendable you want to fight anti-semitism. And it doesn’t bother me whether or not you are Asoka, a government agent or an avatar.

Bill there was some anti Semitism revealed in the e mail messages between Wasserman Schultz and the head of the Dem party in Kentucky (over Bernie Sanders campaign) I understand on College campuses across the US anti Israel sentiment is palpable, to the extent pro Israel speakers have been shouted down or not allowed to talk at all. Also I’ve noticed at some of these progressive campus protests Palestinian flags flapping in the breeze.

I won’t get your explanation either. It makes no sense to me that you think not voting at all is some sort of …. something. I’ll never understand. You also seem to be fixated on the presidential election, not considering that other state and local elections down the ballot might be very important to your life someday. (As I’ve said before, the office of county sheriff is quite important in my locale.)

I also don’t understand why you wouldn’t make the effort to vote for the Greens or the Libertarians, or something like that, in the presidential contest. Just take 5 minutes out of your busy day to try to “send ’em a message,” that you prefer neither Dem nor Repub.

I can’t explain it more clearly than in my post. I guess I’m too cynical to expect anyone who WANTS the job of president can be good for our country. Also, I’m deeply disappointed with my fellow Americans (and probably with myself, too) for allowing others to erode our liberty. I think people have been sold a bill of goods about what voting means. I just can’t stomach allowing myself to be a patsy for the establishment.

“Notice, too, that since Russia annexed it in 2014 (being the site of its only warm water port and major naval stations) not even the US neo-con war party has been able to make a credible case for fighting over it. Instead, they’ve resorted to name-calling: Putin the “thug,” Putin the “worst political gangster in the world.” This is exactly the brand of foreign policy that Hillary will bring to the Oval Office.”

This statement is something we may only see on this blog and not anywhere in mainstream media. It’s something I learned in the 6th grade but seems to be forgotten by the majority that Russia will do anything to keep it’s only warm water port….not just for military purposes but for the purposes of trade, they don’t want to be shut off from the West. Sanctions were supposed to be the slap in the face making their move into Crimea all about military aggression. Russia is trying to maintain economic ties with loyalists in the Ukraine and Eastern Europe. Which candidate knows more about international trade?

Russia has fully paid indemnity to US for defeat in the Cold War

On November 14, 2013 ship Atlantic Navigator loaded with weapon-grade uranium fuel, shipped from St. Petersburg to the United States. It was the last transport of this kind.

This was the last batch of uranium, which was sent to the United States on the basis of the US-Russian agreement signed 20 years before providing for the supply of the United States with 500 metric tons of enriched uranium, which Russia was to extract from its nuclear weapons and send to US to be used as a fuel for nuclear power plants.

The nominal price that was paid by the US was 11.9 billion dollars, which represented only about 0.15% of the real price of the uranium – about 7.9 trillion dollars.

Germany just three years ago has finished paying reparations under the Paris Peace Treaty of 1919. On Germany, reparations were imposed in the amount of 269 billion gold marks. The amount, of course, is enormous: it is equivalent to about 100,000 tons of gold. At present the price of the yellow metal would be about $4 trillion.

Experts say that to Germany reparation were about twice the GDP. Germany stretched payment of reparations for 90 years (with interruptions, carried out for about 70 years in the pure form of payments).

The payment of the “uranium reparations” by Russia were completed within 20 years, with most of the uranium was shipped to the US in the 1990s.

When I tell my American friends that Russia after the Cold War has paid a huge indemnity to the United States in excess of the indemnity imposed on Germany in 1919, they just roll their eyeballs. Most of them believe that in the 1990s the United States out of pity was feeding worthless, miserable Russia.

This “difference in mentality” more than once will affect Russian-American relations, when Trump becomes president.

    ——————————————————————————
Atlantic Navigator shipped on November 14, 2013 and anti-government coup in Kiev started on November 21, same year.

We shoulda fucking waited a little!

I know full well that we made Russia dissolve its domestic aviation industry and break up Aeroflot. That forced Russia to buy Airbus and Boeing airliners rather than rely on their established manufacturers, like Ilyushin and Tuplolev. Breaking up Aeroflot enabled Western vulture capital firms to liquidate the fractured entities.

I figured that Russian uranium shipments were part of the equity stripping but, I had no idea of the scale of the ripoff!

Germany has done more than merely send material repatriation. They have lost their souls and their will to live. They threw away a glorious history that goes back to Conrad I of the early 10th century. They threw it away for the privilege to be slaves of Israel and concubines of their cousins, the Muslims.

  50. FincaInTheMountains August 1, 2016 at 11:03 pm #

On the bright side of the Uranium deal, Russian Federation has destroyed the US enrichment industry and actually moved to a closed nuclear fuel cycle, while at the same time picking up LEU (Low-enriched Uranium) from all over Europe, leaving intact its own warehouses.

And now United States has the very, very serious problems with the spent nuclear fuel…

As far as I can tell, much of the world is anti-Jewish. It obviously disgusts me, but I understand, – although I don’t like it – that it is a hallmark of our civilization that many people feel the need to blame someone else for their own misfortunes and failures.

So Jews have never done one thing wrong? I dare you to name one, just one. I’ll start: they are responsible for the Opium War in China. Now you. We can keep going all night. But you know this and therefore you wont admit anything, not even one. And thus you are hated. And you are proud of that hate, feeling morally superior. And use that hate as a way to enforce solidarity. The Jewish philosopher Spinoza admitted that Judaism was based on hatred.

So Christians have never done anything wrong? We can keep going all day and all night.

          • Janos Skorenzy August 2, 2016 at 2:46 pm #

Complete nonsense. Christians have been beaten black and blue for generations now by Jews and the Left. They accept most all of it – and join in with masochistic glee.

Jews never apologize for anything. Who is going to make them since they control the media? When an individual Jew is caught, he is then simply identified as an evil White by the Jewish media and thus the cover is maintained.

Christians usually don’t live up to the teachings of Christ. They are very high. But people can live down to the teachings of Mohammad and the Talmud relative to other groups – those teachings are just a green light and blank check to our lower nature.

Living up to the Law completely, especially the traditional Jewish Law, is no mean feat of course. It takes considerable will and self denial. But those qualities aren’t the same (even though necessary) as being a good person, even in terms of being in the Jewish Community what to speak of relating to those outside it.

“As far as I can tell, much of the world is anti-Jewish. It obviously disgusts me, but I understand,”

        Bill,
You may be correct…help me understand why. You suggest schadenfreude, a natural human trait. Can you further develop this thought? If, at the base level, envy is the reason for enmity, than there can be no solution other than trying to change human nature, a fool’s errand. If this is the case, then why try? Why rail against humanity in general? Do you expect that cultural norms can change other than, at best, a single generation’s observed activity?

If you are correct in your assessment, then All of the world, not much of it, is anti-Jewish….

      • Frankiti August 2, 2016 at 5:48 pm #

The most unpleasant aspect is the forced blindness. Humans of all casts and colors have been astoundingly awful to one another for some time. Humans gravitate to the tribe, the clan, the family, the house, the clergy, the nation, the state.

Astoundingly, the uninformed, underdeveloped and the willfully ignorant are perfectly fine being victimized by houses of Hanovers and Habsburgs and Popes and East India Companies and Clintons and Bushes and so on and so forth.

Jews met their greatest success and maximized potential, ironically, in Europe, in the diaspora, not in the levant, not as the mizrahi. Despite their progress with integration and assimilation both ethnically and culturally they never could be accepted.
All the shared good, all the discoveries, all the science all the thought, all the music and art all the advances made for all humanity were not enough. They were always viewed as foreign.
Getting too good, or too entrenched, as was the way up, for everyone, was never good for the Jew.

Europeans and their new world descendants are conditioned to being misruled, dominated, butchered, and exploited by their own, so long as, and only if, their own carries a cross, no matter if it’s tossed on the throne room floor or in the oval office closet after making a good show to the ignorant. I’ve come to believe that it’s not so much as blame as much as it is acquiescence to a perpetrator that is more like them. The banality of tribalism if I may say.

People who have lived long and experienced much and many near and far have the tacit knowledge that only wisdom brings that reveals that all humanity is capably of much good and far more often too much evil (to themselves and their world). Those that know and understand our history know this to be true. It’s not limited to any one race or color or ethnicity. We are all to blame.

One N.Y Jew got lost in the White Mountains. Immediately a caravan of dozens of vans carrying hundreds of Jews left the city to look for him. Mountain Rescue and Park officials never saw anything like it. Jews are capable of great, great good – for their own and only their own in general. Always make that distinction please. People learn the concept of “in group/out group” in the first week of Sociology 101 and then forget all about it. It is the Key to understanding much of life. Not to remember it and use it is simply a commitment to illusion.

Bush Sr said the same thing. He disagreed with Israel on one little thing. Next morning Congress was inundated with hundreds of Jewish lobbyists, interns, advocacy groups, etc. He was amazed.

And how many such groups do they feel comfortable with us having? Glad you asked: Zero. Jews realized long ago that care, concern, sympathy and compassion were all finite resources. They keep theirs for themselves and demand ours as well. What they don’t get, they demand be given to other minority groups. In the end, nothing is left over for Whites. They are fine with that – fine and more than fine.

That’s why David Duke is returning. Hopefully Whites are now ready to hear his message of Freedom. He has the Key but only we can unlock ourselves.

NSA is behind the first batch of hacked Clinton emails to Wikileaks?!

According to Bill Binney, the world’s foremost authority on the inner workings of the National Security Agency – NSA – the most likely person to have sent the first batch of hacked Clinton emails to Wikileaks was an angry U.S. intelligence worker, not the Russians.

Binney, who worked at NSA for 37 years, did a radio interview on Sunday with “Aaron Klein Investigative Radio”, which airs on AM 970 in New York, and AM 990 in Philadelphia.
Binney held the most important technical position in NSA – Technical Director of the World for the Geopolitical and Military Analysis and Reporting Group.

He said that the NSA has “all” of Hillary Clinton’s deleted emails. But equally importantly FBI Director Comey has total access to that NSA database where these domestic emails are stored, and can retrieve them, analyze them, and recommend prosecutions from them at any time.

You probably get stuff by email from friends and acquaintances who assume you agree with it and they want you to pass it on to 10 friends so that mathematically all 7 billion of us will have gotten the message in a few days.

Here is one such message that is quickly taking on meme status and I actually happen to agree with it, To wit:

It doesn’t matter WHO hacked into the DNC; Whether it was the Russians, the Chinese or Satan himself!

The point is: the emails EXIST and the SYSTEM is RIGGED.

But here is the question that arises in my mind: Why, in our legal system, is illegally obtained evidence a cause for throwing out a case? Say the police or a prosecutor obtain damning evidence via an illegal wiretap (are there still such things as “wire” taps?). Why not allow the damning evidence during trial but separately charge and punish the illegal gathering of evidence?

How is the DNC hack different than the illegally gathered evidence situation? Or isn’t it?

…“How are the American people ever going to know what the truth is? We operate in secrecy, we deal in deception and disinformation, and then we burn our files. How will the historians ever be able to learn the complete truth about what we’ve done in these various operations, these operations that have had such a major impact on so many important events in history?” … I don’t know how the American people will ever really know the truth about the many things that the CIA has been involved in. Or how they will ever know the truth about the great historical events of our times. The government is continually writing and rewriting history — often with the CIA’s help — to suit its own purposes. … history is being rewritten. Any historian who relies on what he reads in the newspapers … will not be learning the truth. The CIA has manufactured history in a number of ways over the years not only through its propaganda and disinformation but through the cover stories it uses for their operations, and the cover-ups when an operation falls through. … Secrecy is maintained not to keep the opposition – the CIA’s euphemistic term for the enemy — from knowing what’s going on, because the enemy usually does know. Secrecy exists to keep you, the American public, from knowing what is going on, because in many ways you are the real enemy. If the public were aware of what the CIA is doing, it might say: “We don’t like what you’re doing — stop it!,” or “You’re not doing a good job — stop it!” The public might ask for an accounting for the money being spent and the risks being taken. … Secrecy covers…operations have been botched. … covered up with more lies, which the public, of course, can’t recognize as lies, allowing the CIA to tell the public whatever it wishes.”

It seems we have all been distracted from “what Really matters Most” .by the Brilliant, and I mean Brilliant……Distraction called the Democratic National.Convention… set up for their Candidate , who is vulnerable for somehow always being caught up in one kind of pseudo-crisis or scandal after another. It NEVER stops with the Billery. It has beeen going on since the 90;s. How will she ever get anything done? Even if she does become president? It truly never ends with the Clintons It was truly a tender trap they set for Trump with the “Gold star ” family. The fallen hero’s dad DID come out negatively at Trump FIRST…BUT …Trump could have handled this more sensitively.I guess. But I digress… We have replaced ever getting anything fixed or done with endless political posturing, infighting,,bickering, smearing other political people, Etc..ESPECIALLY since the Clintons got in the White House . The American people are tired of playing games. We need help. We can’t afford our healthcare premiums anymore. We don’t think K Street has anything good coming to it. My heart goes out to the Kahns……BUt this is still a DISTRACTION from what truly matters deep in the psyches of so many Americans living on the EDGE economically…exhausted from paying “dues” to a system that never seems to listen to them! For the Republicans still complaining about Trump …LOL LOL they don’t know what a GIFT he WAS to them!!! Trump people would have doubled down and voted for Bernie if Trump hadn’t showed up!!! Trust me I know this. I would have loved to have seen an honest debate about Capitalism verses Socialism between Bernie and Trump but the more truly manipulative political camp will still prevail. And it will be a slow,….cruel…death for our country cause I don’t trust Hillery to stop the pain or the bleeding. Also… she will follow the M.O. of Angela Merkel, and bring pain and bleeding of terrorism to the interior of our country by ….doing just what Merkel did to her country of Germany with her FOOLISH decision to import refugees like she did!!! Honest to god Merkel will go down as another Marie Antoinette!!! I brought this very deep concern up many MONTHS ago on this very site at the start of the election in the U.S. If people think they are “blessed” because they are a” sweet, kind,” Hillery supporter, a Muslim themselves, in a Minority of some kind or anyone else … if they make a good salary …if they live in the Hamptons for god’s sake YOU are not TEFLON. YOU WILL NOT BE IMMUNE FROM THE FOOLISH CHOICES OF YOUR POLITICAL ELITES. Eventually, even the very Gates that enclose you now and shelter you from the rest of Trump supporting Americans you have made fun of will be a testament ,… to your lack of FORESIGHT and PRUDENCE,and possibly TRAP you for radical Isis maniacs.to pick you off. inquiringMind, may I jump in? Not that I follow German politics closely, but I’m pretty sure the political agenda is to hold wages down by importing low-wage workers. The U.S. has done pretty much the same thing, only on a wink-and-a-nod basis (i.e. the Chamber of Commerce doesn’t mind one bit if there are millions of Latin Americans around with reduced rights and low expectations, so the politicians they support don’t much mind either).

          • InquiringMind August 7, 2016 at 2:20 am #

Well ,Elrond ,…that is an interesting point. It doesn’t surprise me too much. I’m just so tired of watching the same pattern repeat itself. Politicians vow to make the lives better for the struggling middle class and wage earners that are already citizens of a county, ….then they sell them out to moneyed interests. The Democrats and Republicans do it. Both do it. So there you have it….. subsequently…..insurgencies in both political camps.

There was a show I watched on public television about what happened at the health reform hearings . President Obama gave a front row seat to a woman named Karen Ignagney (I probly misspelled it) and she represented insurance interests of some sort. She was given the floor … while a woman Doctor that wanted to speak for the Public Option was escorted out by security people. ….So to this day…. I also don’t think Hillary really could, or would, do much for us in this regard. At least the Trump supporters have managed better than the Bernie supporters( for disrupting the status quo in the republican camp). I would think it would be entertaining to watch the insurgents in the democratic camp that really want change go after all the sell outs in THEIR party too…. come the next voting opportunity. They didn’t succeed this time . Their Candidate the Dems got is probably the ultimate sell out. She will give us all only small, incremental improvements in our lives …..,crumbs from the table….. if we are lucky enough to land in circumstances where it “fits” some grand plan for pet projects. And WHO is in the know to find them? The Chambers of Commerce?

I am suspicious of Hillery’s plan to increase sending so many more refugees into the USA. There is probably some KICK-BACK for the CLINTON FOUNDATION hiding in there somewhere. Maybe she sees $$$ signs! The REST of us will only be stuck with her road to HELL…..(Paved with GOOD INTENTIONS). ……..When she is EXTREMELY CARELESS in VETTING them.

Trump may not have the perfect “Tone” but he is not really the bigot the paid monkeys in some of the media want you to think. What is racist about putting a TEMPORARY ban on Muslims…??? To my knowledge,…Islam is a RELIGION, not a RACE. Yes, the Constitution says there should be no religious test…..BUT what can you do when ANY religion out there develops a MANIACAL spin- off CULT that makes people having COMMON DECENCY( of that religious persuasion)very afraid they will be painted with the SAME BRUSH….and leaves them nauseated when their kids spend too much time on the internet and start to act strange? Is anyone in the Muslim community doing enough to protect their kids from this? Will Hillery design a big plan to make every Mosque Self Monitor for radical speakers ….The Christian churches have had to monitor for unsavory activity too ,ya know. I remember all the so called christian cults in the 1970’s. But they weren’t out for jihad….they just were up to MIND CONTROL TOO so they could get money and whatever the leader wanted. Anyone remember Jim Jones and Jonestown? Remember Charles Manson and his cult? Remember David Koresh and his following? Remember WACO? The people in charge then didn’t have any qualms dealing with that did they? Poor children in that compound…if only they had shown more P.C. toward them.

Mind Control is an insidious thing…and all religious QUACKS are sooooo good at it. “Many will come in My Name”….. well……..maybe Muslims should tell their own that many can come in their name too and mislead their members of their mosque! …. But I diverge… probably many smart Muslims are trying to take responsibility but they sure need to learn…. from the many Christians who had to de-program their loved ones from old fashioned hucksters!

I don’t think Trump has any problems with blacks….I don’t remember him really even mentioning them or singling them out. He just made the mistake of pissing off some political vested interest (of any type) that really doesn’t want anything to change quickly for this group.

As for Hispanics…he probably has NO beef with law abiding immigrants. He would probably give up quickly on deporting people that are NOT part of nefarious activities .Everyone knows this. But he would REALLY take them all out of the SHADOWS fast and they would be legal-ised. Too bad for the trouble makers. They would be out of everyone’s hair. I don’t think he could build a physical “wall”
but I think he just wants to really create much more security at the border. Remember that the vested interests want to keep wages down .

You know, I am sure looking forward to the debates. I hope the MEDIA doesn’t throw any more fits about planning them around NFL games…..bread and circuses….bread and circuses my friend….. ! You know…,in the Book of Revelation the Beast had Ten Horns. And the Media are getting to be real BLOWHARDS! LOL

Talk about reality t.v….politics has, is and will continue to be a close cousin to hysterical dramatics voluntarily suffered by a contender for some prize during Prime Time.

I knew it would take more than having one woman in a hijab (just one woman among 100s of Hillarians) to cement the illusion that the United States is not racist (just like Obama was a symbol for the end of racism). To sustain the illusion will continue to take more because for every one of Americanized Muslims there’s 1 or 2 or 3 radicalized Muslims (who are also citizens with American privileges).

Did anyone notice that the American young man who was raised within an orthodox Muslim experience is DEAD. What good is he to anyone anymore DEAD? Why didn’t the Kahns have 7 kids like most Muslims have? That’s a question that will never be answered.

Yes Janos,… All We have to do is go on You Tube, any of us….and peruse what is going on in Belgium, Germany ,France, Sweden ,etc….They are ahead of the U.S.on the curve. I was saddened by the Beheading of the 86 year old Catholic priest while offering Mass in Normandy,France. So many Americans died on those Normandy Beaches…For What?..for these evil people to come and start doing this?!!! It speaks in the book of the Apocalypse about the blood of the martyrs that would cry out to the throne of our maker. from under the Alter! I have wondered if France was starting to be judged for breaking Our Lord’s Sacred Heart ( as France did hold a very special place in It) So many places of terror attacks have the pattern of the “Enlightenment” theme in common…………..Perhaps this is even all part of the Third Secret of Fatima.(1917) Next ear is 100 years. Who knows?!

    • Janos Skorenzy August 2, 2016 at 3:02 pm #

St Mary Aloacoque was told that France must be consecrated to the Sacred Heart if it would be saved. They didn’t do it and the forces of Protestantism strengthened. I think it was done in the end but too late: the Revolution had already begun.

The Last King of France was kept dirty and naked in a cold, dark room. He was forced to sing dirty songs about his parents by his Communist keepers (all Communists revere the French Revolution and see them as progenitors). He died of this torment after about a year. One of the Faithful was able to save his heart and the relic was passed down for centuries until finally interred in the 1990’s.

And yes, the internet is the greatest tool of knowledge that has ever been, but what do the people do with it? They refuse to understand even when they are even interested. Thus any idea I ever had in favor of Democracy is long gone. Voting must be only for the few in general and the very few at the higher levels. The hoi polloi should be able to express their opinions of course, both in print and in council, maybe even an occasional referendum on non-essential matters. If any of them want more influence, let them study for it and prove themselves – along with a record of service and financial solvency.

Nobody in this world is pristine, but here is what I accuse the Hebrews of in America:
    -pornography
-control of the banks and currency
-manipulation of people’s minds through TV and movies
-a foreign policy deferential to Israel at the expense of all other concerns, which in turn angers and radicalizes Arab Muslims
-promotion and celebration of negros out of all proportion, including even forgiving negro criminals (and blaming white law enforcement) before cases even go to court
-promotion of the idea of a multiracial state, where people from all over the world immigration, and an insane hatred of the idea that white people should live and work amongst themselves

You all know this is true.

First of all, Hebrews are no longer around, they are called Jews now. So to use that word is an intended slur, which invalidates everything you say following. Regardless, here’s my take:

Yes, Jews are in the pornography business, but so are non-Jews. Define what you mean by “control”. Are the Jews behind the millions of pornographic You-Tube and other social media postings made by individuals? And what does it say about the general population who are addicted to porn? Ya think maybe our society has problems with sex? Ya think maybe it has something to do with the prudish attitude of many Christians?

Funny thing, all my own bankers aren’t Jewish. Were all loan officers who gulled unqualified buyers into bad mortgages not liars, con-men and cheats? Were they all Jewish? Or did the lure of big money overcome whatever conscience they had? And that was the fault of Jews? Christian loan officers never did anything illegal and morally repugnant?

In what way are Jews manipulating people’s minds through movies and television? Give specific examples. Could non-Jews have their own networks? Why aren’t they competing with the standard networks?

I could go on, but I don’t want to waste my entire day dealing with a POS like yourself. Bye.

Father Of Muslim US Soldier Is Attorney Specializing In Selling US Citizenship

Khizr Khan, the father of a fallen Muslim U.S. soldier, is an immigration attorney whose specialty is a program that critics say allows immigrants to buy their way in the United States.

According to Walid Shoebat, a former jihadist whose mother was an American, and so was educated in Chicago. Khizr Khan is a Muslim Brotherhood agent working to bring pro-jihadi Muslims in to the United States for the express purpose of helping construct a plan to conquer the U.S. for Islam.

“Saudi interests [are] using Khan to advance Muslim immigration and advance Muslim Sharia.… [Khan] has ties to Hillary Clinton’s aid Huma Abedin as well.”

Adiebin is the wife of disgraced Congressman Anthony Weiner who resigned from Congress in 2011 due to a sexting scandal.

Yeah, it’s not something I want to be around to see, but I’m afraid I will. The rudiments of it are in play, imo. Now, it’s just a matter of it, whatever it ultimately is, rising from the Bit & Byte Soup (versus Primordial). Perhaps it is rising, but we’re too dumb to recognize it. If it’s Networked Intelligence, and I believe it is and will be, we will definitely overlook it, especially when it’s taking its first baby steps. Because we’re so entrained into hierarchical thinking, we’re practically blind to non-hierarchal Systems and/or Entities. We’re completely vulnerable in this regard and so many regards.

      ============

That’s a great line. I will use it the next time I speak with my friend who teaches physics at New Brunswick H.S. where one of the multiple choice test questions on the final is:

If a single pulley is suspended from the ceiling and a length of rope is run over the pulley wheel and you pull down on one end of the rope, what happens to the other end?

      A. It goes up
      B. It goes down
      C. It does not move
      D. None of the above

Just kidding…I don’t know what is on the Physics test…I can only imagine.

Seriously though, my friend John teaches the summer school Physics class for students who have flunked or have gotten Ds during the regular school year and want to raise their grade. He has a system for grading which he announces to the ‘students’ at the start of the summer session in which only 30% of the ultimate grade has any connection to the academic content of the class. The other 70% of the grade is broken down into percentages for 1. arriving on time for class, 2. turning in assigned homework, 3. behavior in the class room, 4. etc.

Incredibly, he says, almost no one arrives on time for class.

“World is ruled by symbols, not by money”

Russians have developed a so called “Sufficiently General Control Theory of Complex Human Systems” according to witch, all means of control can be divided into general groups which are arranged hierarchically from the most effective to the least. Such instruments of influence on society, whose reasonable use allows control over its life and death, are:

Information of worldview nature, or methodology, which, once adopted, allows one to build – individually and socially – their “standard automations” of identification of particular processes within the completeness and integrity of the World, and to define in their individual perception the hierarchical order of these processes in their mutual interconnection. This information is the foundation for the culture of thinking and for the completeness of control activities, including intra-social absolute power both on regional and global levels.

Information of annalistic, chronological nature, in all domains of Culture and all domains of Knowledge. It allows one to see the direction in which processes are developing, and to correlate particular domains of Culture as a whole and of branches of Knowledge. To those whose worldview is based on the sense of proportion (measure, Russian: mera) and is conformable to the World, this information allows identifying particular processes while filtering the «chaotic» flow of facts and phenomena through the worldview «sieve» – subjective human measure of identification.

Information of fact-descriptive nature: description of particular processes and their interconnections constitutes the substance of information of the third priority, which includes the faith-teachings of religious cults, secular ideologies, technologies and facts of all domains of science.

Economic processes, as an instrument of influence subordinated to purely informational instruments of influence through finances (money), which embody a totally generalized type of information of economic nature.

Genocide practices, affecting not only current generations, but also future generations to come, eliminating the genetically-based potential for acquisition and development by them of the cultural heredity of their ancestors. These practices include: nuclear blackmail – threat of use; alcohol, tobacco and other kinds of narcotics, food additives, all ecological pollutants, some medicines and vaccines – real use; “gene engineering” and “biotechnologies” – potential danger.

Other instruments of influence, mainly by force, – weapons in the traditional sense of this word: those killing and crippling human beings, destructing and exterminating material and technical objects of civilization, cultural monuments and bearers of their spirit.

In that hierarchy, money stands only at the fourth priority.

  65. FincaInTheMountains August 2, 2016 at 10:11 am #

A prominent Clintonite Nicholas Burns disclosed the Clinton’s plan to destroy humanity in the name of the final victory of the good guys – the good guys with American passports, who have managed to maintain a moral superiority, even after watering Vietnamese children with Agent Orange.

But Hillary is afraid of such an agenda, as the entire system of political correctness created by her was aimed at preventing a serious discussion of “Who lost Russia” (in terms of who has turned Russia into the mortal enemy of the United States)

This is while the vast majority of Americans believe that

    1. Militarily of the United States and NATO are far superior to any other country, and nuclear weapons are neutralized by the principle of MAD – mutually assured destruction

    2. In spite of the confidence in the superiority of their military, the majority of Americans are totally against the US becoming a global policeman, and even more so against the United States becoming a global thug. And this is exactly what Hillary Clinton offers.

She turned the discussion of Trump’s foreign policy into discussion of his temperament, but Trump was also not born yesterday, and began little by little, drop by drop run in the media space mini-provocations intended “to talk up” Hillary and get her to lay out her foreign policy plans.

For example on Sunday he was “joking” about Ukraine, implicitly hinting at the possibility of recognizing the Crimea as part of Russia and hinted that for the Ukrainian Crimea America can pay a catastrophic price, engaging in a third world war.

And anyway, if you think that Trump does silly things, then you are not taken something into account.

And now all the TV channels are filled with half-witted Hillary supporters who in response to the question: “Do you want to start a nuclear war because of the freedom of the Baltic states?” answer “that “Russia will not dare to test Article 5 of the NATO Charter and will attack the Baltic States only if Putin will doubt NATO’s resolve to start a WWIII.”

From their point of view, the best way to prevent World War III is to create more threats on the Russian borders and arrange more provocations by the Baltic midgets in order to cause internal crisis in Russia and ruin it from within if not with God’s help, then with the help of some other spiritual entity.

It may seem that the entire America is suffering from senile menstruations and thirst for the next Wargasm, but if you look at the American generals, it turns out that mental menstruations and Wargasm thirst torment them no less than the TV commentators.

For example, General Richard Shirreff in his new book argues that NATO’s war with Russia is inevitable and the only thing that could keep Russia at bay is strong enough fright of a NATO provocation.

And the most likely of these provocations seems a blockade of Kaliningrad, which can really make the Russian Federation to go to war.

And it reminds us that in her nomination speech Hillary Clinton quite clearly marked the spiritual entity, by which she intends to dismantle Russia apart and “support their allies against Russia” (who will be charged with the implementation of the aforementioned provocations)

And this spiritual entity was linked with Kaliningrad and the sect that originated there.

    @FITM

Money is not most important thing?
    It is.
Elites, at least western ones have recognized that governments and society are an encumbrance to progress. It is far more advantageous for a society to have an elite class not restricted by money or government. Yet to be in this club, you must support those ostensibly “in” government to provide this relationship. It was always more of a secret, but in today’s Information Age it is in the open, because as a direct correlation with a larger and more prosperous elite is the reality that they are simply above most laws, again if one pays to play.

The parties are for fools, they don’t matter at all in the rarefied air.
What matters is maintaining the relationship.
And it is not all sinister, as many sincerely believe that the more progressive western societies need this relationship to simply compete with Chinese autocrats and Arabian oil barons.

        • Frankiti August 2, 2016 at 4:16 pm #

I’m not making other suggestions. I’m suggesting the reality. The US can either be a buttress for local/US control, or it can risk having that control or hegemony ceded to other states. The point is that the arrangement may sound conspiratorial, but that does not make it nefarious, at least in their minds. The elite understand that they must be established in the top levels of government so as to facilitate control in the varied sectors by the most rational and progressive actors. The arrangement leads to the creation and protection of more wealth, so long as it pays tribute to the system that enables it and allows it to perpetuate. They are not mutually exclusive. They both must be true… to one another.

The 1% from the Kochs to Buffett to Cuban to Zuckerberg to Bezos and so on are marching behind Hillary for one reason only; she doesn’t change the arrangements; they pay and they play.

It’s vital to national security after all…

          • elysianfield August 2, 2016 at 7:57 pm #

            Frank,
I’m as nationalistic as the next guy on this site, but I understand that there is ALWAYS power behind the throne…I don’t care if it is Jewish, or Exxon, or Google, or whomsoever, as long as there is what I would call benign neglect regarding our culture and lifestyle. I haven’t, since I was middle aged, believed that our government has been working in my best interest…rather, the old saw; “What’s good for General Motors is good for the Country.” Crumbs from the table, and all that….

          • Janos Skorenzy August 4, 2016 at 2:37 pm #

Well by definition, if it Jewish, Exxon, or Google (more Jewish), it’s not going to be in our best interest. The only people who can possibly rule us well is us. No guarantees of course.

You have a small point, yes. When the Russian City States were strong enough to fight, they chose to fight the Catholic Swedes rather than the Mongols. The Swedes would have utterly changed their culture. The Mongols were indifferent, preferring to live out on the Steppe and leaving their subject alone as long as the tribute of gold, grain, virgins, and young men was met.

Such indifference is unusual in this world.

      • FincaInTheMountains August 2, 2016 at 1:58 pm #

I thought I made myself clear on the subject. I don’t want any single player with the whole control – even if it is Russia.

We seem to be more or less lucky with Putin so far, but there is no guarantee that in 10 years he won’t suffer from senile menstruations, or be replaced with some other guy with funny ideas, just like Khrushchev.

I probably want the multi-polar counter-weighted system with clearly defined rules of the game that everybody respect, sort of like we had in 70s.

Competition, stiff, but civil, no bullshit of “moral superiority”.

        • JimInFlorida August 2, 2016 at 6:40 pm #

If Putin won’t, or can’t, do it, then Gennady Andreyevich Zyuganov can. He represents a chastened, revived, and more sophisticated Russian socialism that would not repeat the blunders of the old Soviet state. Zyuganov would very likely create a new Socialism that is more nativist and nationalist that the old communism.

Zyuganov could raise Russia to be an equal partner with the U.S. in the world. Russia could demonstrate its right to hold sway in its part of the world and the U.S. would stay in its own yard. I’d like to see the world as a U.S / Russia condominium where both are powerful enough to compel mutual respect and cooperation.

Absolute parity isn’t necessary. Just enough to skew the risk factor beyond what even a rabid warmonger, like Hillary, would take on.

Hmmm. Not 3 minutes ago I got a robocall requesting an emergency donation to the Trump campaign of a thousand dollars. Perhaps realizing the hesitancy of someone donating such an amount to a voice on the phone, they tried to seal the deal by offering a signed photograph of Mr. Trump in return for the donation. Maybe he really is broke, or at least his campaign is.

You have no right to criticize any White person since you wont criticize your own. Back to the ghetto, shetl, and shul with you.

And at most, AT MOST, we should have only one Jewish Supreme Court Justice. Even that is wildly more than your 3% of the population represents. But we’ll allow it because of our true liberality.

You force affirmative action on us so now we should return the favor.

      • Q. Shtik August 2, 2016 at 5:27 pm #

I doubt that 3% is an accurate figure. I’d guess 10% or more.

Jews like Michael Landon* who changed his name from Eugene Maurice Orowitz knew he needed a stage name and picked one out of the phone book. There are many Jews who hid in the woodwork in this way and I believe they are vastly under-counted as a people.

        * He is 4 years my senior and we grew up a few blocks from one another in Collingswood, NJ. His father was Jewish and his mother Irish Catholic. He was closer to his father and identified as a Jew although not particularly religious. I read on-line that he said growing up was “horrible” because he was taunted for being a Jew. I find this hard to believe. I don’t remember myself or my friends harboring ill will towards Jews. More, perhaps, toward Blacks because of nearby Camden but we were mostly oblivious since there was not one Black living within the borders of our town nor attending our schools. In fact, Landon (nickname Oogie) was an athletic H.S. superstar. He set a javelin throwing state record that held for 10 years.

          Look up “crypto-Jew.”

Some hide behind the Catholic moniker but, most hide behind Wahhabi Islam in the Middle East and atheism in the West.

They can hide but, their fruits give them away. Their economic bread and butter is to peddle the vices of society.

A few do shine and make great contributions but, for every Jewish jewel, we get a dump truck load of tailings in the deal.

You show real acumen here, Q – many White Nationalist pundits have concluded similarly on the number question. So one Supreme Court Justice would be appropriate after all!

How do you feel about Oogie slandering you and your friends? He seemed so nice as Little Joe. He was also great in Diary of a Teenage Werewolf or something like that.

I argue constantly with one such Non Jewish Jew over on Amren. He’s a Christian too but devotes his life to supporting and defending a people who wont own him because only his father was a Jew and not his mother. And he defends them against the people who have been willing to accept him. Why? The rebel identity seems to trump just about everything. Obviously Christianity was right: the desire to rebel against Order is primal.

No, not at all Janos. You are making the same mistake as wpa (and doing it deliberately as wpa does because it favors your obsession) that the court needs to be closely correlated to various demographic markers: religion, ethnicity, gender, etc. For starters we would have 5 women, 1 gay, 3 or 4 Blacks and/or Latinos, 4.5 people with IQs under 100. Shall I continue the absurdity?

If Jews have distinguished themselves in the Law you are going to wind up with Jews on the court. And you are going to wind up with Chinese on the Olympic table tennis team.

Just so, the Grievance Alliance has killed all ideas of merit. Everything is race, ethnicity, and gender now – and we demand our cut. And no one get more than their fair share. The Jews are grabbing way more positions than their numbers indicate. They came up with this new system – and now they have to be made to live by it. It’s only fair.

It is most amusing that most Yankees enjoy kissing Putin’s heinie. At least Gov. Christie called him a dictator at the gop convention. He came to power via a false flag bombing of Moscow apartments killing 400 people and blaming Chechnya. He learned well from the American penchant for faking whatever and subsequently raising hell. He has 40 Billion bucks of the prolitariat’s funds hiding in Panama, etc. The International Court of Justice in The Hague together with the UN; asked for evidence of Russian claims on Crimea. Nothing has been forthcoming and nothing will be. Stalin deported the native 225,00 Tartars to Siberia in 1945 and 1946 where they mostly died in concentration camps. Putin’s revisionism logic of Tartar genocide means waltzing in there is reasonable. By the way, Russia did lose the Crimean War vs European nationss circa 1850’s. Anybody who knows anything of history understands this. These irrefutable facts are verified as universal truths by the internet gods. Keep on worshiping LilliPutin, the little man with little hands; I enjoy a good laugh.

There is a Tatar nationals who live in Russia – they have entire Autonomous Republic Tatarstan en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tatarstan

After the end of the WWII a number of Nazi collaborators were deported from Crimea, including people of Tatar ethnicity.

The Russian apartment bombings were a series of explosions that hit four apartment blocks in the Russian cities of Buynaksk, Moscow and Volgodonsk in September 1999, killing 293 and injuring more than 1000 people and spreading a wave of fear across the country. The bombings, together with the Dagestan War, led the country into the Second Chechen War.

The official Russian investigation of the bombings was completed in 2002 and concluded that all the bombings were organized and led by Achemez Gochiyaev, who remains at large, and ordered by Islamist warlords Ibn Al-Khattab and Abu Omar al-Saif, who have been killed.

Five other suspects have been killed and six have been convicted by Russian courts on terrorism-related charges.

How many court convictions does America have on 911 charges?

Is there any senior rule to fall back to? I doubt it. All former institutions have been destroyed i.e. monarchy via religious mandate.

Such a king is beholden to the religious authorities and has no fear of banksters and corporations. When such a king is the primary lawgiver, then the engine of law is sound and the Rule of Law works properly.

Victorian Era Foreign Policy “Crimean War”

    youtube.com/watch?v=Vuhec_llrGw

  77. FincaInTheMountains August 3, 2016 at 12:05 pm #

The fact that the Crimean War was conceived by the British Prime Minister Palmerston as a large-scale military operation for the dismemberment of the Russian Empire and the destruction of Russia as a civilization.

In addition to military operations on the coast of the Black Sea, it included the attack on Kronstadt, the shelling of the Solovetsky Monastery, and the complete destruction of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. But the irony of the name of the cartoon “Charge of the Light Brigade,” that British cannot without tears remember that all these plans collapsed during the attack of the British Light Brigade on the positions of Russian troops at Sapun mountain.

At the beginning of the Battle of Balaclava, which buried the Palmerston blitzkrieg plans, the Russian troops suddenly broke the Turkish detachment, occupied the redoubts with the British naval guns and began to take them out. Watching this shame through a telescope, the commander of the British Expeditionary Force, Lord Raglan ordered the brigade of light cavalry, the staff of which consisted of the cream of British aristocracy to attack this redoubt that would prevent the removal of guns.

When Captain Nolan who was to transmit the order asked cavalry commander Lord Lucan were to attack, he waved at the position at the end of the three-kilometer valley, dubbed the “valley of death” in the English historiography.

That truly providential error led to the fact that 671 proud dandy, many future members of the House of Lords, dressed in glittering uniforms with reckless valor rushed to attack the valley between Fedyakinskimi and Kadykeyskimi Heights, occupied by Russian infantry and artillery.

159 cavalrymen were killed immediately by a flanking fire, and two-thirds of the personnel were put out of action, the majority forever. Such loss the British aristocracy did not know since the time of the Wars of the Roses. Compare with them can only Templar meeting in a Jerusalem hotel “King David” in 1946, which, I suppose, too, was not without the participation of Russia and its historic Georgian King.

Yes, if you can show me a truly classless society I’ll give you a hundred bucks.

  79. FincaInTheMountains August 3, 2016 at 12:34 pm #

Meanwhile, Irish and Scottish troops have shown themselves in the Battle of Balaklava from quite the better side, allowing Palmerston, despite the obvious failure of the entire campaign, to declare the battle won.

This has truly caused tectonic changes in English society, as a result of which the English middle and working class began to demand more and more political influence, as the English aristocracy, not being able to recover from such a large-scale loss of young men, the traditions of the heirs, started to lose its influence and dissolve in the middle class.

Russia as a result of the Crimean War was not broken up, despite the heavy and humiliating consequences of this war, and predictably started the Gorchak concentration and became a counterweight to British imperialism, contributing to the strengthening of Bismarck’s Germany.

The results are known. One of them was the collapse of the British Empire as a result of two world wars.

Sorry, personally I feel idiosyncrasy to communists. They had their chance in Russia and they blew it, BIG TIME.

Not that all their ideas should be thrown away, on the case by case basis.

Great mystery of all times – was Stalin a communist? Or was he more liberal than most of the modern “liberals” are? He did promote a free private enterprise in farming and small-to-medium production,

Motherfucker Khrushchev threw it all away in just couple of years – he did more damage than German invasion.

A decisive role in the defeat of the USSR in the Cold War was played by the wounds inflicted by Khrushchev, who virtually destroyed the cooperatives and private farming, as well as destroyed the relationship of Soviet culture to the culture of the Orthodox Russian Empire, as well as with the world culture by his senseless attacks against the Church and the intelligentsia.

As a result, Brezhnev was unable to implement reforms quickly enough, which could’ve provided the intellectual, cultural and economic support during the transition time of the inevitable failure of the guiding role of the Communist ideology.

    Stories from 2 lefty paradises.

In Chicago lead is flying and blood is flowing, 65 shot dead in the month of July.

In Venezuela, the socialist experiment isn’t working out too good; the country is in a state of collapse and there’s actual famine in Caracas. What went wrong? All the Big Hollywood Bullshitters like Michael Moore, Danny Glover and Sean Penn (as well as Friend of Obama Bill Ayers and Robert Kennedy jr ) were making regular pilgrimages to Venezuela, lecturing Americans on how wonderful the situation was there, regular utopia!

Its not so wonderful now. It only took about 15 years of Socialism to turn the place into a sewer pit.

    brh

    • JimInFlorida August 3, 2016 at 7:17 pm #

If you were constantly suffering from a severe infection, and that infection was being imposed on you by an enemy, would YOU feel like a sewer pit? Venezuela has been under increasing economic warfare by the U.S. and its corporate cronies.

The whole purpose of Bolivarian Socialism was to reorder the nation’s resources to serve human needs. To reorder national resources requires directing the nation’s institutions to build up the people themselves – by mass education, medical care, and redistributing unproductive (and hoarded) land to the peasants.

Hugo Chavez took a nation that had LONG been abused and exploited by the U.S. He gave the people of Venezuela their country back! A VERY CONSERVATIVE THING TO DO!

Chavez, however, tried to accommodate his enemies and that planted the seeds of destruction. His political failings were compensated for by his sheer personality and influence. His successor, Nicolas Maduro, lacks that charisma (Chavismo) and the Washington-backed infection is running wild. Washington’s lackeys are wrecking the place and blaming the victim.

Thus, the socialist experiment was successful whenever it was left alone by outside meddlers.

This is a good time to read Tuchman’s The Guns of August, a history of the start of World War I. I finished reading it in August 2014.

The August weather in much of the US is very similar to the weather in northern Europe, so, with a little imagination, one can get sense of what it was like for the masses of troops and their officers. It’s a fine time of the year, much too good to be wasted on a war. But so it was.

August 3, 1914 was the day Germany declared war on France.

    • pequiste August 4, 2016 at 12:37 am #

And a great little war it was, was it not?

Consider the players: Kaiser Wilhelm, King George V, The Ottoman Empire, The Russian Empire and Czar Nicholas II, Austia-HUngary, USA with that racist Woody Wilson guy, etc.

Consider the strategies and tactics: Schliefen Plan, Gallipoli, U-Boots, Jutland and don’t forget Trench warfare, chemical warfare, and a whole bunch more!

Consider the weapons: aeroplanes, U-boots, tanks, machine guns, and all other sorts of big things that go boom!

Consider the fact of using heavy 20th century industrial innovation, output and technology against imbecile poliitcal and military leaders who utilize 19th century tactics and strategies (kind of a lot like today.)

Consider the end results: 20 millions dead, whole empires imploded and destroyed, implementation of entirely new political systems…..

Consider that the next one, I think, is going to be lights-out for humanity and the bugs and rodents finally take over.

On a positive note today, Barry (Soetoro) Hussein Obama (Nobel Peace Prize laureate) is busy bombing Libya (and Syria, Iraq, Yemen) because the “JV Team” opened branch offices there after Hillary famously fucked up her assignments.

      • JimInFlorida August 4, 2016 at 9:50 am #

The “players” of today are the Billionaire Class. The game pieces can’t be moved without them.

          • JimInFlorida August 4, 2016 at 9:33 pm #

Alright Frank, let’s find the middle.

I suggest limiting the cleansing of billionaires to stop at a nice round number like, 300. Three hundred dead billionaires in a few days’ time should motivate the rest to find their moral compasses and spend their wealth to arrest events and reverse the trend line away from WW3.

700 surviving billionaires and about 10,000 of their elite enforcers, living in utter TERROR for the rest of their lives, can effect a lot of good in the world. They may even rediscover their souls.

I first became aware of Kunstler by reading his books on architecture and the blight of suburbia. He notes that skyscrapers doomed when we run out of fossil fuels.

The big news in San Francisco this week is the LEANING 58-storey Millennium Tower. Since it’s completion in 2008, it has sunk 16-inches and is leaning 2-inches toward the north west! Seems that the developer thought it would be OK not to anchor this very heavy concrete structure to bedrock.

This tower is an all-condo affair for the 1%. Joe Montana bought a pad there, along with the recently-dead Tom Perkins (he of Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield and Byers the venture capital firm).

San Francisco is building it’s $2 billion transit center right across the street from this tower and so the homeowners are trying to blame the city for the sinking/tipping problem. (A while back, Kunstler blasted the design of this transit stinker–right now it looks like a big, curvy blob. Never mind it will take an additional $3 billion to actually connect Caltrain to the transit center.)

Who in there right mind would build a giant tower not anchored in bedrock right between the San Andreas and Hayward Faults?

She who lost a chimney in the 1989 Loma Prieta Quake (and also had to have the cracks foundation of her 1-storey house filled with very expensive polymers.)

For any of you fellas, or gals (because there’s “Jen” to consider), Daesh is offering two for one discounts on their Initiation Fee if you’re in Law Enforcement and/or you have a rabid repulsion to Jewry.

One does not need to be a rabid Islamic jihadist to criticize Jewry.

A point lost on Americans and Europeans today, and it will cost them again.

      • FincaInTheMountains August 3, 2016 at 9:16 pm #

Criticizing Jewry is soooo 20th century – what’s trending now is animosity to Scientologists!

  86. dolph9 August 3, 2016 at 9:27 pm #

beantownbill, whoever he is real life, uses the tactic of deflection.

I never claimed everyone else was holy. If anything, my general distaste for human beings extends to everybody.

But with Jewry, it is very specific. There is absolutely no doubt they are out to get American whitey, whom they consider to be pawns to be used as they wish. In this, they very well might be right.

Many, many Jews are involved in the following:
-promotion of endless immigration from around the world; how does this make sense? except in the minds of Jews and those who think like them
-using America to support and defend Israel at all costs, including alienating a huge portion of humanity in the Middle East; why exactly is that little country our concern?
-endless promotion of negros and forcing us all to accept and integrate with them in spite of our better judgment; this never actually works, 99% of whites/hispanics/asians eventually decide to escape negros

Here is my basic accusation against Jewry, to really get to the point; just think about it.
-if they ridicule and denigrate all human culture, then they should do the same to Jewish culture
-if America and Europe are forced to be “multicultural” than so should Israel

The double standard that Jews use is obvious to anyone with a brain. The Jews aren’t “special”. They aren’t God’s “chosen people” or any BS like that. They are a parasitic race of wanderers. They are talking monkeys like the rest of us. Their culture is crap.

    Eat that, Jews.

I accidentally posted, so I’m continuing my comments as a reply to myself…

It’s too bad you have a general distaste for human beings. Since you’re stuck on the same planet as people, and we’ve spread out all over the world, you got no real place to get away from them. I humbly suggest that in order to stop that unpleasant feeling of distaste you kill yourself. Voila! No more bad feelings. See how simple solutions can be?

WPA—capitalists accused them of inventing communism.

Lenin, Stalin, Trotsky, Lazarus, Goldman [The 2 Emmas].
          I notice a pattern.

The Tribe wants the gullible goyim to know about their Nobel Prize winners and the Holohoax, but not about their creation of communism and the Holomodor.

Sending bus loads of grade schoolers to the Holocaust museums

Two observations on suicide, Bill, and these are not original with me; I read them in my college library when I was about 20, around 1970.

          1. Every person who commits suicide thinks that they are worthless, but, in fact, a truly worthless person never commits suicide.
[My comment: this an oversimplification. there are reasons to commit suicide besides a feeling of worthlessness. The person may have a good sense of self-wortth, but in their estimation, there is no decent future, for example.]

          2. If every human were born with a button in their left arm, which button, if pushed, would cause the person to die instantly, without panic or pain, every person would eventually push that button.
[My comment: I believe this to be true, absolutely, for every person of at least normal intelligence. This truth has been suppressed in recent decades by the conversion of such normal mental states as depression into mental “illnesses”, to the great benefit of the health care industry, in particular the pharmaceutical industry. If suicide is caused by depression, and depression is an illness, just like any other illness, then it must be treated with drugs, and we all get rich. (“We” being physicians and drug companies.)

By the way, the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual) bears the same relation to real science as a book on astrology bears to a book on astrophysics.

Physicians claim that depression is caused by a “chemical imbalance” but there is no scientific test to measure this so-called imbalance.

Yes, this discussion can go on endlessly, but remember who is making money the whole time: the health care industry.

If it’s “health care” in the USA, follow the money.

“They are a parasitic race of wanderers. They are talking monkeys like the rest of us. Their culture is crap.” –dolph9

Sounds kind of like you hate Jews, dolph9, which makes you an irrational person.

Communists accused Jews of creating capitalism; capitalists accused them of inventing communism. Christians accused Jews of killing Jesus, and others say Jews invented Christianity. Jews have been labeled warmongers and cowards, racists and cosmopolitans, spineless and unbending, and the list could go on forever. Clearly, Jew-hatred is irrational.

The truth is Israel and Jews everywhere are making the world a better place.

    • JimInFlorida August 4, 2016 at 7:54 am #

Surely there must be a pathological illness that labels such wild claims as you make. Not just ridiculous assertions but, you know full well that you are provoking a reaction.

Adolph Hitler’s, “Mein Kampf,” and the “Protocols of the Elders of Zion” have material and historic evidence to back their charges. Yet, to even utter of their existence provokes apoplectic reaction only because the masses are brainwashed to react that way.

YOUR allegations to assert the superiority of Jews as a group and of the State of Israel has no evidence to support them. Yet, when their existence is uttered, TPTB demand they be mentioned only in the most reverential terms. Blackmail, coercion, and extortion compels such obedience; not merit.

Only YOU, wpa_ccc, can say, with a straight face, that 2+2=5, ice is heavier than water, and Jews have enjoyed support wherever they’ve gone. George Orwell saw you coming a long time ago and here you are!

You might enjoy ‘101 People who are Screwing Up America’–
        by Huberman.

Not the bestseller by the jewish conservative but the one that was written in reaction to that book.

Just to see how ‘they’ think and write.
The photo of Huberman on the back shows a man with a narrow face and a big nose. Classic.

      • beantownbill. August 4, 2016 at 10:16 am #

Just the fact that you’re allowed to write such filth gives the lie to everything you say. If Jews were as bad and as powerful as you claim, do you think they’d let you spout off?

BTW, you are a riot, believing “the Protocols of the Elders of Zion” is real. It is a work of fiction. I wish I could study you to see how blind hatred can warp the mind. Also, don’t feel bad that you, Dolph, Malthuss and Janos are repressed homosexuals. Embrace it, it’s not a bad thing. Being in the closet must be very draining.

        • JimInFlorida August 4, 2016 at 11:38 am #

The Elders of Zion is a work of fiction that echoes real life observations and historical events. Political Fiction is often reality with the names changed to avoid lawsuits. Alexander Sozhenitsyn, however, DID NOT FEAR calling them out by name for the murderous crimes they did to Russia via communism. The crimes of the Donmeh Jews in Turkey against Armenia is a matter of record.

There are always exceptions. My rants against Jews is limited to them as a body-politic. Believe it or not, the few Jews I have known personally were stellar human beings. One was a dermatologist and one was my former boss who retired years ago. I only know JHK by his writings and the former KunstlerCast with Duncan Crary. If all Jews were like JHK, I would apologize and accept banishment from CFN.

BUT… a group can behave very differently than a few individuals who do NOT follow the pattern, Jews, as a group, have a vile track record going back to the days of the Pharisees. They can’t help destroying their hosts because they can only make their living by peddling vices and profiting from the Seven Deadly Sins. Thus, they’ve been kicked out of 109 nations since 250 AD and persecuted in nations that could not get rid of them.

Porn, slumlording, gambling, professional sports, trash media, mass anomie via social engineering, loansharking, promotion of race mixing, and demonizing the social and political foundations of White Christian America are the unique markers of Jewish activity.

As for calling us repressed homosexuals, it just shows you have no defense. Jews and LGBTQ activism go together. You lost the argument so, just go embrace the mass anomie and rot your brethren have wrought upon the West.
