What was with James Comey’s Friday letter to congress? It looks to me like the FBI Director had to go nuclear against his parent agency, the Department of Justice, and Attorney General Loretta Lynch, his boss, in particular. Why? Because the Attorney General refused to pursue the Clinton email case when more evidence turned up in the underage sexting case against Anthony Weiner, husband of Hillary’s chief of staff, Huma Abedin.

Over the weekend, the astounding news story broke that the FBI had not obtained a warrant to examine the emails on Weiner’s computer and other devices after three weeks of getting stonewalled by DOJ attorneys. What does it mean when the Director of the FBI can’t get a warrant in a New York minute? It must mean that the DOJ is at war with the FBI. Watergate is looking like thin gruel compared to this fantastic Bouillabaisse of a presidential campaign fiasco.

One way you can tell is that The New York Times is playing down the story Monday morning. Columnist Paul Krugman calls the Comey letter “cryptic.” Krugman’s personal cryptograph insinuates that Comey is trying to squash an investigation of “Russian meddling in American elections.” Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid chimed in with a statement that “it has become clear that you [Comey] possess explosive information about close ties and coordination between Donald Trump, his top advisers and the Russian government.” How’s that for stupid and ugly? It’s the Russian’s fault that Hillary finds herself in trouble again?

Earlier this week, lawyers at the DOJ attempted to quash a parallel investigation of the Clinton Foundation. They must be out of their minds to think that story will go away. Isn’t it about time that a House or Senate committee subpoenaed Bill Clinton to testify under oath about his June airport meeting with Loretta Lynch. He doesn’t enjoy any special immunity in this case.

Speaking of immunity, when will we learn what kind of immunity Huma Abedin may have been granted in previous cycles of the email investigation? Plenty of other Clinton campaign associates got immunity from prosecution earlier this year, rendering bales of evidence on their own laptops inadmissible in the email server case.

Things as yet unknown: Where is US Attorney (for the Southern District of New York) Preet Bharara in this case? He works for the DOJ, but he is known to be an independent operator, and he must be already involved at least in the underage sexting case against Weiner, meaning he’s had access to an awful lot of collateral evidence from Weiner’s laptop, and must have obtained some kind of warrants of his own.

What appears to be unraveling is the AG Loretta Lynch’s effort to protect Hillary Clinton and now, in this Alfred Hitchcock movie of a presidential election, she’s trying to make it look like James Comey is stabbing Hillary in the shower. (Film buffs note: in Hitchcock’s Psycho the character played by Janet Leigh made off with a bundle of money from her place of employment before Norman Bates worked his hoodoo on her at the motel.)

Trump, of course, is playing the escapade up in his usual idiotic way. It would be unfortunate if it ended up getting him elected — but how would it not be unfortunate for Hillary to wind up in the White House under a cloud of possible indictment? She will be doing Chinese fire drills with a special prosecutor the whole time she is in office, tempted at every moment to start a war with the Russians to divert attention from her legal problems.

Soon we will learn what kind of tensions are roiling between the FBI and the DOJ, and internally within each of these agencies. There are too many pissed off people there to prevent leakage, and probably plenty of email memoranda among the officials that would nicely lay out a trail of incrimination leading into the Attorney General’s office itself.

What a fine mess. And anybody who thinks that any of it might be resolved before November 8 will be disappointed. This story has so many legs, it looks like an Amazonian centipede compared to the lumbering cockroach that was Watergate. The awful proceedings will grind on and on while the US economy and its vampire squid matrix of financial rackets implode in 2017 along with the European Union and global trade. How do you like The Long Emergency now?

I’ve been in Long Emergency mode for over 20 years now, and grow tired, I must admit, of being an old fly on the wall knowing the carrion will be unpalatable, even for a fly. Perfectly awful; all of this, and I have deep concern for the children I, and many others here, have. My grandkids are coming by after school today to practice with their pitchforks, even though they are blissfully unaware of what their future holds.

    • BioWebScape October 31, 2016 at 11:48 am #

Ghung You are alive, Haven’t seen you since TheOilDrum slid out of daily use. Still off Grid?

      James,

As you can see I have been around a while, having had parents that grew up during the Depression, I was always in a mild Prepping for another bad decade habit. I Don’t like Trump, have already voted, and though maybe my state will side with him, no one I know is keen on him, even if they are (fetuses shouldn’t be killed , as they are people too, side of things). But History is still there for people to have looked at all these years, and we aren’t going to get out of strife, bad weather, poor climate, or the generally ughy future.

I read your book back in 2005 The Long Emergency and have always liked your word play. May you live in interesting times, was during most of my time on earth, so even though it was suppose to be a curse, I am not sure they would been so mild with it had they been seeing their own future as well. But that most of the Chinese Ghost cities aren’t finished off inside, they aren’t even as good as empty houses in american cities.

My BioWebScape Design Project figures show that humans if they weren’t always warring for Oil or water or power, could live to be 25 billion happy people on earth, and off planet. But it would require us to be better Humans, more in keeping with Christ’s Love God First and Love your neighbor as yourself. Which isn’t 2 commands, but One single thought. But that being said, I know that mankind isn’t likely to be good to one another. So I try to help where I can, and keep on truckin.

Going to be an Interesting times next little bit.

As Ghung points out, computer mischief has always been in the works, that it has taken this long to get even the mainstream to talk about it a bit amazing, guess it is out of sight out of mind. Once they solved Y2K (there was a lot of hard work behind the scenes to make that a smooth roll over). People just forgot that computers were a backdoor into everything they ever thought about. Fun Fun…

      Charles.

      • Ghung October 31, 2016 at 12:02 pm #

Hi, Charles! Yes, off-grid for life. I may even form my own 48 acre country at this point. At least I could be responsible for my own comedy of errors going forward.
Hope you and yours are doing well!

        • Bigskyguy58 November 1, 2016 at 7:52 am #

Sounds good. I had a wonderful log cabin in NW MT on 88 acres for 16 years. How I miss it tot his day. Sold it during my divorce. Shit!

25 billion? We’d have to all be saints, without ambition, race, or nation. Basically smiling cabbages plugged into the wall a la the Matrix. That’s right up there with the idea that every person of Earth could fit in Texas.

        • beantownbill. October 31, 2016 at 2:18 pm #

Actually, the entire human race could live in a cube about one mile on each side.

          • HowardBeale October 31, 2016 at 2:59 pm #

            “…on each side.”

            And then there was one…

          • Janos Skorenzy October 31, 2016 at 3:05 pm #

But they wouldn’t be human in any recognizable sense. Just insects.

          • Janos Skorenzy October 31, 2016 at 3:09 pm #

Quite right, Howard. If some group could manage humanity like that, they’d have absolute power. Such a humanity would be an incredible burden, why would they carry such it? Instead of managing it indefinitely, they would cull us down to all but nothing, just enough to serve their needs. 3d would become a flat line.

          • outsider October 31, 2016 at 4:38 pm #

Beantown – I’m assuming you meant “fit” not live, although I’ll believe it when I see it.

          • ffkling October 31, 2016 at 11:01 pm #

Beanie is operating with a few beans loose. First a clarification to your statement, which in its current incarnation is patently absurd unless you meant to substitute “physically occupy” for “live”. Otherwise, you are suggesting that there is sufficient area to grow the food necessary to sustain 7.5 billion consumers, and sufficient unspoiled habitat to cleanse the sewage, produce clean water. And what of all the other flora and fauna necessary for sustaining our complex ecosystem?
News flash….we just learned that previous human global population growth estimates of a 77.000.000 annual net gain were way too conservative. Instead the net global human population expands by +89.000.000 per year while during this same time period mankind is responsible for the greatest mass extinction of flora and fauna in 65 million years. But no worries since, according to Mr. Bean, we can all live on a square mile cube.

        • routersurfer November 1, 2016 at 9:13 am #

Janis I could not agree more. A world with 25+ Billion??? Make mine a world of 400-600 million. Who would want a People Zoo with billions of cute little crosses.

          • Ishabaka November 1, 2016 at 9:38 am #

I’ve yet to meet a person in favor of a lower population who didn’t feel they were entitled to be part of that lower population – or who did any work bringing birth control to the poor.

          • Janos Skorenzy November 2, 2016 at 12:18 am #

Quite right, Ish (have you read “The Earth Abides”?). We cannot consider anything without putting ourselves in it. Thus philosophies such James’ Pragmatism or Schopenhauer’s put Will before Mind. And what is the first impulse of the Will? To be. The second? To survive. Thus Jefferson’s “first morality”. From this pov, people who rave about Universal Human Rights are the most immoral of all.

Yes, the choices this year are Damned If You Do and Damned If You Don’t. Any which way but loose.

Trump will not be POTUS. At least not for any length of time if he miraculously was inaugurated. They’d cap his ass within a few short months and Pence would be the POTUS. But it won’t come to that. Hillary is the anointed one and all this scandal surrounding her will evaporate just as White Water did and Bill’s sexual escapades.

For those of you who think this latest October Surprise from Comey related to the Clinton Private Server issue will ever amount to anything more than a Media Spectacle, there’s this. Imagery is very important. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. I think the number of words a picture is worth is many times more than a thousand, especially the one below.

Hey, American People, The Joke’s On You!!!

Hillary’s already in a tailspin in the polls.

She’s at risk now of simply being swamped by a momentum wave that develops a life of its own.

      • draupnir October 31, 2016 at 12:18 pm #

I disagree. Many of the Democrats I know are simply choosing to stay home on election day (members of my own family included). I have voted the straight Democrat ticket since Jimmy Carter, but I will be casting my ballot for Trump this time. I have looked at his platform and his plan for the first 100 days and I want many of the items on it, most especially backing off from provocation of Russia. The choice seems to be between a mafioso and more of the same failed policies and a buffoon. I will choose the buffoon, We’ve had buffoons in the White House before; George W. Bush comes instantly to mind, and while it was embarrassing, I can live with embarrassment. I am opposed to the concept of royal families trading off the presidency, so no more Clintons and no more Bushes for me. It is unfortunate that my party chose this deeply flawed candidate, I could have voted for Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren or even Joe Biden, but I can’t vote for Hillary. She may, indeed, be elected, but I will never believe that it wasn’t due to fraud.

        • Cold N. Holefield October 31, 2016 at 12:35 pm #

The whole thing is a Fraud. It’s horrific Kabuki Theater — the REAL American Horror Story (AHS). It doesn’t matter what you want or who you vote for, Hillary has been anointed. The rest of this spectacle we’ve been forced to witness because everywhere you turn there it is, was/is intended to torture us, but it has no effect on the outcome. Trump is a foil, whether he’s witting to it or not, to make The Rubes believe they still have some kind of voice and choice in the matter. The only way Hillary could be SOLD to the Microcephalic Populace was to juxtapose her with a Nincompoop like Donald Drumpf. Anyone else would have looked good compared to Hillary, considering how important appearances are especially since this election is so bereft of any semblance of a sane appearance.

Mark my words — Hillary will be the next POTUS and there will be no revolt from Trumps Tranche of Diabetic Dunderheads. They’ll order a pizza and go backed to their regularly-scheduled programming of Mass Shootings & Cops Shooting Black Guys.

I noted with interest last week that Queen Elizabeth feels we have gotten ourselves into quite a pickle and feels that our 240 year experiment has probably failed. She assured us that all is forgiven and we may return to the fold, if we wish. She invited us to write her in when we cast our ballot next week.

What a great Halloween treat this whole election cycle has been. Vincent Price and Lon Chaney could play Anthony Weiner and James Comey, repectively, in perfect characterization. Hillary has to play herself.

Frightening, however, to think what the trick (on the lumpen American people) is going to turn out to be: it will make the old razor blade in the apple seem like a semi tractor trailer truckload of Snickers bars.

Costume alert: Huma Abedin will not be wearing a hijab for this years Halloween party festivities; she’s going to (have to) go full burkha.

Don’t get distracted by the sideshows…The real stories are unfolding away from the Corporate Media horserace coverage. The Standing Rock Sioux campaign to protect their water and tribal lands from fracked oil continues to gather support and momentum. Like the opposition to the Keystone XL pipeline this campaign is not only for the safety of the Sioux water but protection of the planet from the ravages of continued fossil fuel production especially fracking. September 2016 continued the long string of hottest months for the planet on record guaranteeing 2016 would be the hottest year in history. In October the Northeast had a week of 80 degree weather!
    Indian Summer indeed!
The Pirate Party in Iceland tripled its seats in the Icelandic parliament as Iceland continues as the only country to bail its banksters and move on to economic growth as opposed to bankster austerity.

ITYM jail its banksters? Just wanted to make sure since you’re making good points. But the corruption of the Clintons isn’t a trivial detail. The fact that the most powerful country the world is undergoing a legitimacy crisis right now, just as the social, economic and environmental shit is hitting the fan, is very consequential indeed.

      • orbit7er October 31, 2016 at 11:38 am #

the Clintons are not necessarily more corrupt than Obama.
Rockman from Oildrum days had an interesting recounting of all
Obama’s policies to actually “drill, drill, drill” despite all his lofty rhetoric. Just as Obama has supported plans to waste $1 Trillion on a new generation of nuclear weapons when we are pledged to eliminate them, supported the illegal Libyan invasion and the Syrian covert war disaster…
Obama is a master of rhetoric which actually flies in the face of his actual policies. Clinton, not so much

The DAP does not run through any of the land that is owned by the Sioux. It does not, run through any old artifact land what so ever.

The final permanent easement will be 50 feet wide. Additionally, for construction, we are requesting 25 to 50 feet of temporary work space in forested areas and wetlands, and up to additional 100 feet for temporary work space on agricultural land.

To start, the pipeline’s path, which has been set for two years, does not enter the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe’s reservation. The portion being protested is on private property and does not run on previously undisturbed land. It follows a pre-existing energy corridor in which electricity transmission lines and the Northern Border natural gas pipeline already lay.

An ancient burial or other sacred site simply cannot exist in the fill laid down by the modern construction crews that covered those transmission and oil lines.

The protests might also give the false impression that Native American tribes had no input to the project. The public record shows that they did. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers held 389 meetings with 55 tribes to discuss the Dakota Access Pipeline. The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe met with the corps nearly a dozen times to discuss archaeological issues and to help finalize the pipeline’s route.

No one has shown that any sensitive tribal land is being jeopardized by the pipeline. Nor is there reason to fear that the pipeline would compromise the Standing Rock Sioux

Tribe’s water supply. The Missouri River in North Dakota already is traversed by eight pipelines that safely transport energy products every day. And the tribe’s water intake is scheduled to be moved later this year to a spot roughly 70 miles from the Dakota Access Pipeline’s river crossing.

When we can get past the shouting and look at the facts, it is clear that the pipeline’s route was thoroughly vetted, that tribes offered significant input that helped shape the route, and that claims of damage to ancient lands or water supplies are unfounded.

Oh you know that we love your Long Emergency and are loving it even more so as it slowly plays out in reality. Your foresight in writing it is what has your fan base waiting impatiently here every Monday to read more words of wisdom, thank you! The change in direction that occurred this past week was dramatic indeed. The sellout media has gone from kissing Her Royal Highness’ pants-suited behind to almost actually biting it as her abilities to defend herself or blow off her crimes has lost defensible ground. While they may be on the payroll to propel Her into office, the nature of their work (and that of the Common American Idiots that listen to them) is to turn on any and every bleeder that floats past their hungry jaws. As much as Donald Trump may be disliked or even hated, the hyenas do not generally pass up an easy meal which may not bode well for the Clinton Crime Family. Curiouser , and curiouser indeed.

    • dannyboy October 31, 2016 at 9:43 am #

      “Your foresight in writing”

      Love the writing

      …don’t see the foresight.

Kunstler, I continue to struggle with you thesis. This Long Emergency was kicked off by peak oil prices. OK

Then these peak oil prices kicked off capital formation shortage. OK

So now these peak oil prices and resultant capital formation shortages are leading to emails on Weiner’s laptop?

can you see where i am getting lost on my way to The Long Emergency.

doesn’t seem at all like foresight, but rather picking news headlines as indicators of the end of the world.

      i exaggerated that last part.

      • James Howard Kunstler October 31, 2016 at 10:26 am #

What I have said in both “The Long Emergency” and “Too Much Magic” is that the problems of resources and capital would induce a crisis of legitimacy in government. The situation, now upon us, has been ramified and amplified by a notorious grifter (HRC) getting nominated by the grifter party-in-power at a particularly bad moment in history

        • dannyboy October 31, 2016 at 10:52 am #

OK. I just pulled “Too Much Magic” from by bookcase and see indications that I read it pretty thoroughly (lots of highlighting and stickees). I’ll go back to it today to reread the section on how “the problems of resources and capital would induce a crisis of legitimacy in government.”

I can learn something that way.

          Keep up the wonderful writing!

The Long Emergency Page 185 – The Hallucinated Economy:

The most significant characteristic of modern civilization is the sacrifice of the future for the present, and all the power of science has been prostituted to this purpose. – William James

The Entropic mess that our economy has become is the final blowoff of late oil-based industrialism. The destructive practices known as “free-market globalism” were engendered by our run-up to and arrival at the world oil production peak. It was the logical climax of the oil “story”. It required the breakdown of all previous constraints-logistical, political, moral, cultural-to maximize the present at the expense of the future, and to do so for the benefit of a very few at the expense of the many. In America, free-market globalism became the reigning orthodoxy of both political parties, challenged only by cranks wearing nose-rings at the very margins of society. The moment that the world recognizes the passing of the oil production peak as a reality, globalism will be dead both in theory and in practice.

During the years of its brief reign, free-market globalism was regarded as a permanent institution by a broad consensus or leaders from the most august Harvard economists to the most vulgar corporate buccaneers. The news media and their left-right punditry all bought it, too. The idea was that humanity had arrived at an advanced level of sociopolitical evolution, a new economy that would eventually deliver heaven on earth, where everyone everywhere would be rich. The key word was “eventually.” Globalism pretended to promise the same nirvana as communism had failed to deliver in its time, and came into full flower just as communism lost its legitimacy. Globalism also had the same tendency to impoverish and enslave huge populations while enriching the elite who managed its operation. The American people were sold on it, even while it destroyed their towns, their landscapes, and their vocations. What a shock, then, to find out that the so-called global economy was just a set of transient economic relations made possible by two historically peculiar circumstances: twenty-odd years of relative international peace and reliable supplies of cheap oil.

Walter B, thank you for providing this.

I need to find Kunstler’s writing on how the problems of resources and capital would induce a crisis of legitimacy in government.

i looked briefly in my copy of “Too Much Magic” but soon fell into a deep sleep. This event is not attributable directly to Kunstler’s writing (which is always soothing). I was reading his description of the great camp that he had stayed at in his youth, and my imagination got the best of my critical mind.

          Well said JHK.

      • Elrond Hubbard October 31, 2016 at 10:27 am #

The two are intertwined. Issues of resource depletion, environmental degradation, etc. have been foreseen basically since Rachel Carson’s Silent Spring. The implications for industrial society have been fairly well understood for nearly as long — see The Limits to Growth. The long emergency might have been mitigated (likely not avoided entirely) if the right steps had been taken early enough.

Jimmy Carter understood this, and he was the last U.S. president to try to level with the people about it and propose how America could keep control of its own destiny. The American people rejected the warning (the media called it his ‘malaise’ speech) and turned to Ronald Reagan instead, because he promised the party could continue without any reckoning of the real costs by taking control of other people’s destinies instead.

Except real costs always get paid — always. The environmental, resource, and peak oil bill is coming due right now just as the U.S. is in a legitimacy crisis because the people are fed up with the distance between the fantasy they are being peddled versus the reality they are living.

        • KK October 31, 2016 at 10:33 am #

And every politician since Mr. Carter has taken the lesson to heart. Nobody tells the truth to the American people.

As noted in the film, The Big Short, “Truth is like poetry, and most people fucking hate poetry.”

Hopefully I won’t antagonize JHK too much by posting a link to a two hour and forty minute long video, but the BBC documentary Hyper-Normalization should be right up the alley of many of the readers of this blog ( “just as the U.S. is in a legitimacy crisis because the people are fed up with the distance between the fantasy they are being peddled versus the reality they are living”), even though it doesn’t really go into resource-depletion or limits-to-growth issues (which probably would have made it way longer).

          • Walter B November 2, 2016 at 10:05 pm #

One of the advantages of dumping my cable service two years ago is that I have plenty of time available once the family has gone to bed to check out videos such as the one you have posted, thank you. I could never say that I trusted the BBC, and their lack of inclusion of the Murdering Bitch that will steal next week’s election was inexcusable. However their history lesson into Syria and the Assad’s and our bungled interrelationship was outstanding. I had forgotten that Ronnie Regan had backed out of Syria, but then, being a believer in the Bible, he probably feared what the destruction of Damascus would bring about. Unfortunately President Obastard and our next President Clinton have no such fears and will happily bring on Armageddon without further thought. Comrade Putin may even assume the role of Anti-Christ as his popularity and ability to sooth the masses will certainly skyrocket after HRH HRC is installed in the White Outhouse next January. Damn it is an interesting time to be alive and cognizant!

    Hillary will don the niqab!

  10. Greg Knepp October 31, 2016 at 9:42 am #

Obama will grant a Presidential pardon to Hillary as one of his last official acts. If I’m not mistaken, Ford did much the same for Nixon.

But I agree with JHK that this entire mess is looking a lot more serious than the Watergate fiasco. Watergate was a petty burglary. National security was never at risk, nor were there any serious domestic concerns involved.

    This is different.

      There will be countless pardons

      • sprawlcapital October 31, 2016 at 11:55 am #

Nixon was out of office when he was pardoned. Will Hillary have to agree to resign, in order to get a pardon? This would have to be done before Jan. 20, while Obama is still in office. Or at least before the inauguration ceremony.

If she did not resign, the damage to her reputation would cripple her administration. Or maybe not, Hillary fans being oblivious to her numerous transgressions, lack of judgment, and character flaws.

        • Beryl of Oyl October 31, 2016 at 12:06 pm #

She has the man at the center of that sexual harassment scandal in the NYS legislature back in the early nineties, working with her campaign, unless there are two Mark Alan Siegels with a strong bias against Catholics.
I don’t know if that’s bad judgment or a faulty memory or entitlement. None of those are positive traits.

        • Greg Knepp October 31, 2016 at 12:38 pm #

Good point, sprawl; Nixon was leaving office and therefore largely impotent where policy matters were concerned, while Hillary will be entering office. Hillary’s ability to govern effectively post-pardon will be seriously compromised if she is found to have engaged in blatantly illegal activities during her service as Secretary of State…not to mention the damage to Obama’s legacy.

What a can of worms this will turn out to be!

    • SidewaysFacingDog October 31, 2016 at 3:22 pm #

“Obama will grant a Presidential pardon to Hillary as one of his last official acts.”

This you can take to the bank. I would take a 10/1 bet on this.

BTW: Can the prez pardon someone who has not yet been charged with a crime?

      • Greg Knepp October 31, 2016 at 5:15 pm #

If memory serves, Nixon had been charged but not convicted. He resigned before the conviction. Of course the case was tried in Congress rather than in the courts, so I can’t guess as to how it would play out in Clinton’s case.

Perhaps there is a lawyer among the readership who would like to take a stab.

“how would it not be unfortunate for Hillary to wind up in the White House under a cloud of possible indictment” –JHK

Oh, the hypocrisy! Bush’s gang deleted 22 million emails from a ‘private server.’ There was never an attempt to charge Bush with a crime, Never an investigation. His staff dodged multiple subpoenas until the end of his presidency.

    22 million emails deleted…not 33,000.

Hillary is not guilty of hiding of Benghazi emails, and had no criminal intent of any kind, according to the FBI. But Bush hid all the illegalities of his war which cost us trillions of dollars of national treasure and got thousands of our children killed… with complete impunity.

Hillary Clinton is being held to a different standard than that of George Schultz or George Bush.

Do you think Hillary is any less able to avoid indictment than Bush?

I know it’s a stretch but when the profile of a criminal is examined common traits appear. They always commit crime when work will suffice. Why? Work pays off over time but crime always pays off now. And the thrill for the sociopath. The Clintons are criminals. They lie when unnecessary and hide all their dealings whether criminal or not. That having been said, it is reasonable to assume with recent Clinton Foundation revelations that the dynamic duo have spent most of their time shaking down individuals, corporations, and NGOs for cash and favors. When the Esteemed Senator became Secretary of State, she now had access to heads of state and central banks directly. Her shenanigans took a quantum leap. I suggest at this time, and mark my words as irresponsible and without merit, but here it goes. Hillary spent her entire tenure as Secretary of State managing her slush fund and day to day operations of State were handled by Huma via email and other correspondence. This may explain all of the inexplicable Islamic madness and policy that goes beyond even the most aggressive tolerance delusions as non other than her father’s radical legacy being employed in his honor. Obama has Valerie Jarrett to run the white house and Hillary had HUMA to run State. Comey is stuck in the middle and at this point has to do SOMETHING as his example will be used as defense ploy #1 whenever the FBI is trying to prosecute someone. I know I’d call him to the stand.

    • Beryl of Oyl October 31, 2016 at 11:51 am #

I have seen government workers prosecuted for managing outside business on government time. Low level civil servants, of course.
Huma had some special deal going where she could work for State and some outside entity, didn’t she? It was more than a simple conflict of interest, it was outright time theft from one or the other employer, and my guess it was not the non-government one she was shorting.

Great post as usual, Jim, one of the things I look forward to on Mondays. I’ve been trying to avoid the news as much as possible lately, but enough of it has crept into my consciousness to have infected me with a mix of incredulous fear, dread, loathing, anger, frustration, and even a morbid humor at times. In her own words, HRC has referred to all of the various scandals surrounding her and her closest allies as “a lot of smoke but no fire.” This is a rather succinct and truthful summary isn’t it? She’s not honest or trustworthy, but in good lawyer fashion, she hasn’t left any verifiable proof of actual illegal acts. The problem is, who wants to vote someone like that into the Presidency?

The DOJ continues to behave in a manner that is infuriating; they’ve given a pass to virtually all of the Wall Streeters who were responsible for the collapse of our system in ’08 along with folks like HRC, while going after normal people for every conceivable infraction, many of which are victimless offenses that in many cases should not be illegal (see the failed war on drugs). Did anyone else become almost homicidally enraged when the story of how our Government is shaking down veterans, forcing them to repay signing bonuses from 10 years ago made headlines recently?

TPTB have proffered two of the most unsavory characters ever as our only choices for the top job in our government. It is stunningly shocking, considering both parties had such better options, and in one case they actively scuttled one despite the fact that he had wide support amongst the electorate. And it seems almost too surreal to be believed that the GOP wound up with the one guy in the universe who couldn’t handily defeat HRC, as if some grand puppeteer were controlling the outcome of the primaries. My wife threatens to fashion me a tin foil hat when I say as much in front of her, but I mean come one!

It is with complete dismay that I ponder the future, with a likely HRC presidency and all of the possible/probable damage that will follow. I’m on the same page as our host with regard to the utter folly our country has perpetuated in the world (MENA & elsewhere) and what sorts of grief we would commit under an HRC lead (Russia).

Our country is in seriously dangerous waters. Being an observer is like being frozen in the headlights of an oncoming train. I’m genuinely worried for the future.

Danny boy. Thanks for the heads up on Peter Russell. Yes, probably best not to pay to much attention to election stuff. Yah Danny boy, minimize fear. Although I do recall some great scary stories from my girlhood. Like the one about the boy who forgot to get the liver at the store so he stopped at the cemetery and took one from a recently deceased person. That night… B. O. O. Interesting quote on Monroe institutes site by mr. Monroe. He supposedly experienced out of body experiences. “physical survival may not be the ultimate goal.”

Just another day in Wash DC. The swamp: a fetid, roiling mass of sludge replete with eddies of corruption, dishonesty and incompetence.
And, soooooo many of them that will never see the light of day.

We are on a runaway train and will some day run out of track–and that “some day”, that inevitable point in the future, is a day that no one has the ability to predict.

I know that a seque between the metaphors from a swamp to a train seems abrupt and unrelated… and I apologize, as I can’t write prose with the adroitness and aesthetics of our host, JHK. Yet… I believe that I still speak sooth.

I’m amazed that we’ve all gotten this far and still walk the earth.

Not really related to the long emergency, but there’s a big scandal going on in Korea right now:

    http://askakorean.blogspot.ca/2016/10/the-irrational-downfall-of-park-geun-hye.html

To sum up as I understand it, the president of South Korea has been caught running a massive slush fund — not for her own benefit, but for the benefit of the daughter of a dead psychic, who seems to run the president like a puppet. It’s all fairly eye-popping and well worth a read.

The industrialized world is not in good shape right now. Legitimacy crises as far as the eye can see!

On the fringes of the email story is that Weiner kept evidence of Hillary attending Epstein Island.

Now I know the core of the progressive movement is outright evil and knowledge of Epstein Island and sex slavery and all that will not shame a Truprog but it goes with what the owner of this blog says “legitimacy.”

  28. Beryl of Oyl October 31, 2016 at 11:35 am #

Donald Trump has been warning about the security risk posed by the sham Weiner/Abedin marriage for some time now. He knows Anthony Weiner.
I don’t see how his emphasizing that he’s been right all along makes him in idiot.
An example of an idiot would be someone like Bernie Sanders, who pretended not to see the danger in a potential president who was running a stealth government on the side.
I don’t even know what to call the members of the media who gave up all pretense at independence. With the exception of one reporter at a paper in New Hampshire, they are a revolting bunch of paid whores, to say the least.
Evidently the personal appearance of a candidate is as important as traits like integrity and honesty to today’s electorate. We would not have had a President Lincoln by those standards.
BTW, there is an ongoing FBI investigation of Hillary’s time with the State Department and the Clinton Foundation, separate from any email/mishandling of classified info, is there not?
Back to the revolting whores, the less they know about the latest revelation, the more preposterous speculation they print, just to have something to say, apparently. Does anyone really believe Huma and Anthony had to share a laptop computer?
Perhaps it is not an important detail, but it does have the effect, when and if the facts finally come out, of confusing the public, most of whom are too busy working to follow the story that closely. This could backfire, because I’m guessing there is a lot more Hillary Clinton fatigue right now than there is fatigue with the general election process.

    • Janos Skorenzy October 31, 2016 at 2:25 pm #

Yes, and never forget the inane, revolting Donna Brazil yelling about knowing what persecution was because she’s a “Christian Woman” when asked about the passing questions to Hillary. Well know we know and she’s out.

One down, hundreds to go. And they’ll pop up again unless the whole swamp is drained. They’re trying to bring back Bryan Williams even now. They have immense loyalty to each other since they’re all in the same cabal. If one goes down and talks, the rest could follow. They know that so they are immensely loyal.

But not Elrond’s City States, ruled both politically and culturally by the United Nations, and subject to race norming and affirmative action.

The real City States will be formed by people of one Culture who are willing and able to fight for it. They are most likely to be overwhelmingly White – at least the one we’d be interested in. Why? Because we’re White. Liberalism is a very White thing btw. Nobody else would ever think such thoughts and actually give away power. Truth be told, most Liberals do so in order to get power from other sources.

    Another fine post, Jim.
I really am heartened by the facts of many nations telling the truth about the US War OF Terror against the world, building relationships with each other that exclude the US, and preparing to nuke the US back to the stone age. If somehow we don’t have nuclear war, the multipolar world is still going to circle the drain and go down the big stinky tube. Why? Because all the nations in the world embrace the industrial life. They are creating business and military alliances that will ensure that every bit of fossil fuel resources in the world will be burned up. We who are enlightened know that path is a dead end.
So the future holds the joy of watching the US empire continue to disintegrate, watching the multipolar nations create their pipelines to facilitate the burning of all the fossil fuels, and watching earth in its convulsions as it adjusts to the new higher temperatures. Welcome to the Long Emergency. I need to reread that book. Almost wish I hadn’t donated it to the public library.

Jim, I hate to be critical of you, because I think you are a monumental writer and thinker. But you and many from a leftist background are making an incredible mistake not to vote for Trump. Do you really think that stopping the vermin corrupt Clinton and her attendant neocon militarist industrial complex interventionists, corporatist TPP trade dealers, neo-liberal bankster federal reservists, msm propagandists from ascending to power is not something that is not something that is very worthwhile to do? Of course Trump will do a bunch of stupid things as president, but the enemy of your enemies is your friend. And as Dimitry Orlov pointed out in your podcast a few days ago there is nothing else to expect from the USG anyways. It has nothing else to do but unravel. Clinton is the epitome of everything that brought it to that point. There is nothing worse, that will hurt more people than her being elected. We all have a chance to rebel against the utterly horrid status quo with a giant Fuck you.

    • Janos Skorenzy October 31, 2016 at 3:25 pm #

“And G.W. Bush isn’t running for election in 2016.” –elrond hubbard

Fair enough. Let’s talk about actual 2016 candidates.

Donald J. Trump is running for president. Instead of fretting over emails related to Hillary, and her possible indictment, why is there no mention of Trump’s actual, not possible, legal problems with live cases in federal courts? For example, fraud cases related to Trump University or the federal rape case for Trump’s rape of a 13-year old girl.

Do we want a sitting president with that hanging over his head, or a president who is capable of doing that? Hillary is a saint by comparison. There simply is no equivalency. Saying there are no “good choices” does not establish equivalency.

    • Elrond Hubbard October 31, 2016 at 4:30 pm #

wpa, there is no demand for “equivalency”. That’s just a smokescreen to shield your preferred candidate from scrutiny. The actual demand is for a good candidate, when both of the major party candidates are bad, each in their own special way.

As for Trump’s legal problems and history of fraud, et cetera, those issues are well known. Contrary to your claim that there’s “no mention” of such things, we’ve actually all heard about those already, thanks. Seriously, Trump has been an unavoidable presence on every TV screen in existence for a year and a half. He’s been talked to death, and so have the rest of us. There could still be lots more about him we don’t know, but you’re simply not being serious by claiming that Trump’s legal issues have been overlooked.

Frankiti said: WPAsoka Absalom Newquist is a spam bot. Its sole purpose is to bury recent critical posts and to post propaganda. It also purposefully posts absurd and cynical tangential information as a diversionary tactic.. to further bury relevant information.

Yep, it was done to me up above on the first page of comments. I had a link to an evocative blog post at my website that was showing on the 1st pageof comments here as the second comment most of the morning, and as a result, was getting a shitload of traffic at my blog, and then, what do you know, along comes “Charles” who deposits a screen-hogging long-ass comment reply to “Ghung” that takes up the whole first page. The majority of people won’t scroll down past the first page of comments, so I strongly suspect “Charles” knows this and used his reply to the first comment as a blocking strategy because — IT WORKED. The traffic from this blog to mine decreased precipitously immediately after the blocking strategy was deployed. And, if you read that reply to “Ghung” from “Charles” it is sloppily & hastily written and it’s not even coherent. For example, Ghung says nothing about “computer mischief” when, in fact, my blog post discusses the issue of Cyber Warfare. Scumbags. Censors. Totalitarian Tyrants. With every fiber of my being, I am devoting my entire psychical energy to stripping the telomeres off their cells thus allowing a myriad of cancers to replicate uncontrollably throughout their bloodstream, tissues and organs. If we all did it in unison, THEY would be no more.

SCENE I. A cavern. In the middle, a boiling cauldron.

    Second Witch

Thrice and once the hedge-pig whined.

    Third Witch

    Round about the cauldron go;
    In the poison’d entrails throw.
    Toad, that under cold stone
    Days and nights has thirty-one
    Swelter’d venom sleeping got,
Boil thou first i’ the charmed pot.

The situation, now upon us, has been ramified and amplified by a notorious grifter (HRC) getting nominated by the grifter party-in-power at a particularly bad moment in history –JHK, October 31, 2016 at 10:26 am

Grifters create victims. Victims go go court to get the money grifted from them. Hilary Rodham Clinton is not a grifter. Her opponent is.

Donald Trump has been sued at least 60 times by individuals and businesses who accuse him of failing to pay for work done at his various properties. How many times has HRC been sued for “grifting”?

Two of Trump’s now-defunct businesses were cited 24 times beginning in 2005 for failing to pay overtime or minimum wage. How many times has HRC been cited for grifting others out of wages owed?

More than 200 liens have been filed against Trump or his businesses by contractors and employees dating back to the 1980s. The claimants include curtain makers, chandelier shops, cabinet makers and even Trump’s lawyers who represented him in prior cases. How many times have liens been filed against HRC for “grifting” workers out of wages owed?

You never mention Trump in the context of grifting, only HRC. But Trump is the one with an actual history of lawsuits, court cases and liens which prove his grifting.

Where is proof of HRC grifting? Your rhetoric does not match reality.

Checks and balances in our fed gov’t is being confused with financial principles: write enough checks and things will eventually balance.

I hear/see the relationship of “boss” and employee determining how gov’t servants should conduct themselves. We do not elect bosses/managers to run gov’t. We elect servants, we are the collective bosses. We elect enforcers of codes to keep the peace and unity; bosses serve the economy, change codes to suit any number of given circumstances including laying off or firing. A servant can not restructure or fire!

Like Psycho, you have servants who are secretly going against their masters. Hillary is the grifter secretary calmly shifting millions of dollars into a suitcase. Hillary is desperately looking for any port in a storm and misjudged the kindness of a frustrated lunatic who tends an isolated hotel losing business because of new highway bypass. Trumps peephole into public life just leads to more frustration at his attempts to woo it. He wants to preserve an economic model that is dead, stuffed with too much unsecured credit and derivatives. What does he do when he finds the stolen money? He can not report it without incriminating himself and revealing his own crimes…we assume he killed his overbearing mother by abandoning her in the cellar, like a bad divorce, and collected her SSI gaming the system with his shrewdness.

Silence of the lambs is essentially the same Psycho 2.0. The FBI is now involved and depends on a petite brunette to woo a delusional cult figure who was once a trusted Doctor of Psychology. He dispenses his own brand of poetic justice or truth. One is attracted and repulsed at the same time. How does one expect to obtain justice in a sick/insane world? How can you throw the book at people who are driven to madness by oppressive circumstances?

Everybody is trying to comprehend the reopening of the investigation by the FBI of Hillary Clinton’s private server. But Wikileaks has just posted no less scandalous information, such as a list of journalists and editors, who are in the pay of the Clinton Foundation, as well as a map of all Huma Abedin relations with Saudi Arabia and ISIS.

The new investigation was almost certainly originated by Hillary Clinton herself to divert attention from the WikiLeaks revelations.

In any case director Comey does not have time to finish the investigation before the election, and if Hillary will be able to elect herself, that is to legalize the position she illegally occupies now using her voter fraud machine, that investigation will not have any value.

Trump has practically declared a civil war, or rather called for an uprising (just civil for now) against the usurpation of power in the United States by Hillary Clinton.

And she actually makes no secret that she already has the power and she is not going to give it away to anyone. In fact, she openly says that she does not care for any of the investigations, as she always able to spin them over, and no matter what crimes she was charged with, she still will be able to steal the victory in the election, and deplorable American cattle must shut up and live with that.

And when she will start the planned decline in the living standards of Americans and closing plants and factories, the Americans will be deprived of the Second Amendment and their weapons, and all the “heroes”, who would imagine that this is Hollywood, will be eliminated by the ISIS operatives brought from Syria under the guise of refugees.

You understand that to expect to win the election under these circumstances using standard procedures may only an idiot.

But Trump is not an idiot, and more or less openly explained to his supporters, as well as the fact that if they fail to stop Hillary, then all of them will be thrown into the furnace of the Third World War, as well as Trotsky, almost a hundred years ago was going to throw Russia in the furnace of the World Revolution. And the Americans have understood this message and judging by the panic in the Washington Times article “Why Trump is suddenly talking about World War III” Clintonites realized that Americans understand it.

And thy organized this whole circus with the new investigation, as the slightest hope that Trump can win these elections as a result of standard procedure may demobilize his followers and Sanders supporters, instilling in them a completely false idea that Hillary Clinton can give up her plans because of some damn investigations.

It seems like the effects of the Long Emergency are self inflicted here in the US. Policies over the last fifty years are reaching critical mass. Encouraging people yo reproduce but not work or take personal responsibility comes to mind.
Unrestricted immigration of poor people from conflicting cultures doesn’t seem too smart to me either. The frontier era closed a hunert years ago. We began de industrialization half a hunert years ago. The paradigm of mass immigration should have died then also.
I’ve been off the beaten path south of the Rio Bravo del Norte and in Central America a few times. I met a lot of smart , nice people ,and I don’t blame them for wanting to come here. Unfortunately the resources of the US are not infinite anymore than Guatemala’s is. The real problem they have is too many people and we are striving to do the same thing here. I don’t know any average citizen who benefits from that. That’s why I willing to spin the cylinder on the revolver with Trump.

“The paradigm of mass immigration should have died then also.”

Do it now, we will make it work. Divide the land up among citizens/families. No more “government” land. Land + thought × work = prosperity.

Hey MessianicDruid, I think a lot of that govt. land isn’t worth much and would be hard to live on or grow anything on. Dig into BLM or Dept of Defense desert earth in Nevada and you might find a gold nugget, yes, but you’re just as apt to find radioactive dust or bones of a gangster whacked by the mob in 1967.

It’s the argument I used with a guy at work regarding immigration. He said that we have plenty of room for more people. I told him that different people have different ideas about population. I said think about your house. There is a finite amount of space there, could you fit one more person in there? If so, how about 2 more, or 3 more? At some point, you have to tell them no. I’m tired of being the blow off for the rest of the world’s overpopulation problems. Back in the day, i was in favor of zero population growth, and it wasn’t so we could take in more refugees. Sorry, but my house is full.

      • AHtheHumanity November 9, 2016 at 9:03 pm #

That’s way oversimplifying a complex issue. Immigration is about public/commercial property and not private property. It’s never been an issue (until recently because of large land holders in Southern Texas) of “get off my lawn”. The problem is how can the levels of gov’t manage or process a huge influx of people from poorer countries so they can legally rent/ own property, work/pay taxes to support themselves and their children? There are conflicts in the existing immigration laws that favor having families, getting an education and working but punish the people at the same time if they are caught breaking minor laws…like speeding…or not filing complex papers in a timely manner…or understanding English at a grade 8 level…or having their families live with them.

There are lots of U.S. citizens who support and welcome immigrants because they provide a valuable workforce and a form of income by renting/leasing properties that were not rented or leased by citizens. This website goes into detail WHY citizens are not able to work for a living, rent or lease. It has nothing to do with immigration and everything to do with a dwindling amount of CHEAP resources. Immigrates live off the scraps of the privileged and wealthy of which American citizens are characterized. I assume a lot of us posting here are not immigrants and not living at a subsistence level.

The problems of life in any country stem from the management of people and resources. There is nothing wrong with procreating nor is the Earth not providing enough food and water. What is wrong is how people abuse the Earth’s abundant resources through wars and pollution and intentionally injure people with no sense of real retribution.

Hillary. Nothing at her core but ambition, the quest for power. An evil Janus, whose incessant lying was best described by Newt.

“She lies with such an arrogance, such a certainty”, he said.
Not so hard to do, owning the DOJ and that brown blob of a barrister.

And then there’s the brown blimp of a bootlicker, Donna Brazile, again exposed as a cheat and a charlatan, delivering questions to Hillary beforehand.

Yes, it’s all truly a nightmare on Main Street.

So let’s install this corrupt camarilla, and wallow through the foul stench for years to come.

There is another possibility, and it is even more likely, let’s call it a divine intervention, although according to this version, very logical, but it is nessesary to apply the so-called “human factor”, which is always chaotic if it’s not being manipulated. And here one accident clung to another accident, and together they run the “human factor”, and then begin to play out this tragicomedy, which can come only out of a brilliant author.

And Genius and villainy are two incompatible things, and this is the most Christian phrase in the Russian literature. (by A. Pushkin).

After this introduction, think what actually was told to us by the director of the FBI:

Hillary Clinton has created a secret private server, which no one knew about but the most trusted persons, which purpose – to arrange doing dirty business on the post of the Secretary of State in total confidence. But when Ambassador Stevens was killed in Benghazi, chairman of the congressional committee to investigate the incident Trey Gowdy filed a case in connection with the law, according to which any government official of such level is required, leaving the service, to transfer his correspondence file, so to speak, “for posterity”.

And then came out her emails sent to her aide Huma Abedin from the unknown server. And off we go. Two years ago, it has been assigned a preliminary FBI investigation, which was to determine the possibility of excitation of the criminal case against the former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on charges of violation of State secrecy, since the coded correspondence should not take place with non-secure and certified server, and charged with such matters are not eligible for the office of President.

But the specific interpretation of secrecy is defined by the head of the department, which in this case was Hillary Clinton herself, and it seems in retrospect, officially allowed herself to correspond using the private server, and her right hand Huma Abedin made a deal with the justice system, receiving an immunity from prosecution in exchange for testimony in the case, and the transfer of all her official correspondence to the FBI.

But now it turned out that Huma Abedin conducted this correspondence, using a computer of her husband, who at night in secret was using the same computer to send sexual messages to underage girls and photos of himself in a negligee. And investigating these sexual messages, FBI agents, which have no relation to the investigation of Servergate, came to her husband, Huma Abedin, and found on his computer in addition to relevant to the purpose of its investigation almost half a million letters belonging to the State Department.

Moreover, it is possible that these letters constitute a dossier on Hillary Clinton, gathered over the years whether by Huma Abedin, or her husband.

And here we go: Huma Abedin loses immunity from prosecution, as she did not turned over to the FBI all materials related to the case, and the fact that now she has to sing like an opera diva no doubt. And if she is indeed a communications officer between the State Department and the ISIS, she would qualify for the witness proection, as Hillary Clinton seems was very unpleasantly surprised by the fact of the existence of this computer, and as we all know, this kind of surprise to Hillary Clinton could be extremely harmful to the health of a person who surprised her.

And now, the human factor kicks in. Apparently in early August somebody came to Comey from the Department of Justice, and he was told that if he would hide the facts, in which case he could be prosecuted himself, but if he truthfully state the facts, but said that none of the reasonable prosecutor on this basis could prove the guilt of the accused, he himself could only be accused of incompetence.

But when the Trump decided to head for civil war, he realized that if it comes to revolutionary law, then he has no chance, and he’ll be the first in line to the guillotine. He decided to move the case of Huma Abedin husband, that was hyped the FBI agents, outraged by his refusal to institute criminal proceedings against Hillary Clinton.

At the same time he took their case from the original agents and gave it to his proven staff who know how the game is played.

And then, the human factor of Mayor Giuliani came into play, who first thought of the Huma Abedin’s lost immunity, and now it does not matter what’s in this email, it is important only to hear the voice of Huma Abedin, singing the aria of a Northern fox.

They represent the bounds of sanity on either side of the spectrum with the result being an enticement to a Racist & Bigoted Light position on the political spectrum. It’s a psychological recruitment strategy for Newbies just entering the Fray. Hearts & Minds. Also, much of it is code to stoke the following types to action. Unbelievable Cowards, all of them. The worrisome part to me is that so many people out there support his facist ranting to the point where he is a serious contender for president. Even if Hillary wins (I don’t like her either), the fact remains that those Trump supporters aren’t gonna go away. I hope Trump loses, but I invested in a company that makes jackboots just in case.

“Life insurance” for tens of millions of people

“Life insurance” was the name of the computer folder in which Huma Abedin’s husband stored 650,000 emails that led the FBI director, Comey to resume investigation into violation of secrecy by Hillary Clinton in the Secretary of State office.

I swear that when I wrote the previous post, I did not know!

And judging by how much fun Trey Gowdy is having – the person who found the secret Hillary’s server – his job is done.

The most interesting personally for me, is that Trey Gowdy hopes that the investigation will be conducted without haste, and Hillary Clinton, on the contrary, suddenly insists on publishing all messages detected on the Computer of Fate folder with “Life Insurance” inscription.

And the pinnacle of Trey Gowdy humor is a comment that nothing to prevent Hillary Clinton to hold a press conference together with Huma Abedin and tell the American people what there is in this folder with the words “Life Insurance”, without waiting for the publication of the contents by the FBI.

He even sprinkled some pepper, suggesting that they took with them Huma’s husband Anthony Weiner, the man who from the computer at night, when his wife is asleep, sends his photos in the nude to underage girls, combining this activity with meetings in the daytime as a US Congressman.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jas7AyVQiA

Secret Hillary Clinton’s server, which no one knew nothing about (which did not prevent President Obama to send secret messages. But the last has yet to proven) is a former server of President Bill Clinton, who has been certified by the NSA and decommissioned in 2000 after President Clinton used it twice, once by sending the word “Hello” and once the word “test”.

All your other points notwithstanding, it is irresponsible of you to throw around speculations that Clinton would start a “wag the dog” war with Russia. There is absolutely no evidence in her behavior or her history that would suggest she would do something that psychopathic.

I don’t really understand why you’re so pro-Russia in the first place. Just like the US, they have a long history of meddling in the internal politics of other countries – the difference is, they are often successful at it. And there certainly seems to be evidence that they have been meddling in our current election.

But leaving all that aside, I do think you ought to reconsider passing allegations and sewing rumors that Clinton would start wars just to distract from her personal problems. There is absolutely no evidence to suggest that.

When you insert “danny” into the content of your comment, I am led to it. Is that fair?

BTW: It’s nice to get those thank-you emails from Patreon, but also troubling because I know you got another transaction charge along with my donation. If you could accept quarterly donations, you’d net more by saving two of three transaction charges; annual donations would save even more. I thought of suggesting this to Patreon, but they have no Contact link. Hope you read this!

I agree but would add: why not accept non-recurring (one-time) donations, as an additional option? I understand the benefits of a dependable income stream, but some of us might prefer not to be committed to the Patreon format.

BREAKING: Donald Trump Just Announced His Pick for Attorney General – Hillary’s Worst Nightmare!

Donald Trump has made yet another announcement that will dismay Democrats across the country, and that is his choice for Attorney General. Trump tweeted that his pick for Attorney General is South Carolina conservative Rep. Trey Gowdy, who currently chairs the U.S. House of Representative’s Select Committee on Benghazi.

Trey Gowdy is the guy Hillary mopped the floor with during eleven hours of congressional hearings. You notice that was the end of Trey Gowdy. There were no more hearings because it was evident Gowdy was outmatched and helped Hillary gain support. Now I know pussy grabbing Trump is not serious about being president.

      • wpa_ccc November 1, 2016 at 11:39 am #

The winner has not been determined. We don’t know who will win. The winner will be chosen as a result of the will of the American people casting votes next Tuesday.

        • Cold N. Holefield November 1, 2016 at 12:15 pm #

Yes, the Winner has been determined. It’s the Global Elite. Hillary will be POTUS but it doesn’t matter who sits in the Oval Office, the Global Elite win either way and any way.

Trump has spoken Truth To Power during this election cycle, but because he’s so disingenuous, inarticulate and overall, basically, just a Carnival Barker Clownish Buffoon, his message is lost & wasted. That’s why The Clintons went out of their way to ensure their Old Friend Donald was the Republican Nominee — because The Donald can make anyone look good in comparison — even The Clintons.

    TRUMP CAN WIN

Clinton’s popular vote lead is down to 4.7 percentage points in our forecast, as compared with 5.7 percentage points on Friday and 7.1 percentage points two weeks ago. And Trump’s chances of winning are 24 percent in the polls-only model, up from 19 percent on Friday and 12 percent two weeks ago. –http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/election-update-comey-or-not-trump-continues-to-narrow-gap-with-clinton/

Three days after Comey’s letter, and Hillary’s support is plummeting. This is serious for crooked Hillary.

2016 General Election: Trump vs. Clinton vs. Johnson

    46% Hillary Clinton

    40% Donald Trump

Currently tracking 226 polls from 41 pollsters, updated 5 hours ago

Hillary’s support has dropped from 7% to 6%. This is a sign the race is tightening, just as all the news media wants us to believe. Trump can win this. Of course, according to CFN it doesn’t matter who is president.

  64. Cold N. Holefield November 1, 2016 at 1:09 pm #

How many fucking Polls are there now? Too many to count — and each one as fraudulent and as worthless as the next except in the sense they sell the anointed one and make it look like a Horserace even though the race has already been won.

I suggest, highly suggest actually, that they start naming these polls like they do College Football Bowl Games or Pro Sports Stadiums. Hell, I’d even settle for naming them like they name Hurricanes.

In fact, why coerce people to vote at all or even go through the archaic motion of voting when we have all these Polls to tell us who the Winner is. Let’s just leave it to the Polls. On November 8th, we can have A Million Polls conducted, maybe more, and then we can take the average of them and that will be the Winner. Yey! Think of all the gas we’ll save by precluding people from driving to Voting Booths and creating Traffic Jams.

What’s not to like about this plan?

“The election of Donald Trump is going to be the biggest fuck you in human history. And it’s going to feel so good.” –janos via Michael Moore

Yes, directed to the American people by a con artist. Trump is only out for Trump. Look at the issues he promotes, all to favor Trump. Trump has a number of feelings about things which have to do mostly with getting his own way. Trump feels very strongly about the things that favor his enterprises.

When Trump talks about wanting to have lower taxes on the wealthy, that’s something he believes in very strongly, and it’s of course a matter of self-interest.

Trump’s eagerness to get rid of regulations about health and the environment and workers’ conditions and so forth are just what the manager of a big hotel chain would want to do. If he has convictions, they’re mainly related to his self-interest.

If he gets you to vote for him, to further his own self-interest, not yours, that is just the proof of how much of a con artist Trump is.

  75. wpa_ccc November 1, 2016 at 10:16 pm #

There is now ONE national poll showing Trump is winning. One national poll out of hundreds. One national poll that doesn’t mean diddly squat. State polls are much more accurate to predict electoral vote count.

State polls show that Clinton is maintaining her lead in the key states she needs to win: Colorado (+5 points), New Hampshire (+5 points), Wisconsin (+6 points), Pennsylvania (+6 points) and Michigan (+7 points). Those five states, plus all of the Democratic strongholds, get her to 273 electoral votes.

Clinton also narrowly carries North Carolina (+2 points), Florida (+2 points), Ohio (+1) and Nevada (+2). That’s a total of 341 electoral votes ? more than Barack Obama’s 332 in 2012.

Trump only has 164 electoral votes from states he leads by more than 5 percentage points, plus another 33 from Georgia, Arizona and Iowa, where he has a narrower lead. That’s still only 197 electoral votes. He needs to turn 73 votes over in order to win ? no small task with only seven days left.

Janos et al. Ally with KKK White Supremacists to Vote for the Racist

The Ku Klux Klan is ramping up its effort to get GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump into the White House.

Residents in Alabama, Georgia, Kansas and Louisiana have all reported finding fliers from the KKK outside their homes in recent days. The materials contain calls for people to vote and join the organization as it tackles hot-button social issues with exactly the level of contemplation you might expect from a racist hate group.

“Please join and help us take our country back,” reads a flier recently distributed in Madison, Alabama. “Black Lives Matter Black Panthers are telling followers to kill white people and police officers in the name of justice for the killing of Negro’s (sic) by policemen in the line of duty. These Negro’s (sic) were not innocent. They were thugs breaking the law, and standing up against police.”

Spelling is not a KKK strength.

ALL of the composite models, those that track and average out hundreds of polls, still point to a Clinton win, and … more importantly … the Electoral College is stacked in her favor.

The Comey letter has not changed anything … because, like Bernie said, nobody cares about Hillary’s damn emails. Hillary will be an activist president with a Democratic Congress to support her Supreme Court nominations and her legislative agenda. It’s going to be fun! It’s going to be fun seeing how Donald tries to explain away his defeat.

Silent Counter-Coup by 17 US Intel Agencies

According to a 4 minute video, done by Dr. Steve Pieczenik, a Harvard and MIT-educated psychiatrist who has written 26 New York Times Best Sellers, the Clinton coup has been put down by an intelligence community counter-coup, effective at noon today.

Dr. Pieczenik has great contacts in the American intelligence community.

Comey has actually turned away from being subservient to Obama and the Clintons and has now joined forces with the vast majority of the American military/intelligence community and Obama has decided – for his own preservation – to not fight them.

If someone points out to you that your pet theory of the universe is in disagreement with Maxwell’s equations—then so much the worse for Maxwell’s equations. If it is found to be contradicted by observation—well these experimentalists do bungle things sometimes. But if your theory is found to be against the second law of thermodynamics I can give you no hope; there is nothing for it but to collapse in deepest humiliation.

Peter Thiel is as much a Scumbag as The Clintons & The Trumps. He’s at the heart of The Surveillance State with his Palantir Software, and as I will soon reveal at my blog after running it by the Class Action Lawyers, he may very well be ripping off a substantial number of people with his PayPal Platform.

      • FincaInTheMountains November 2, 2016 at 8:00 am #

Whenever you operate in a scumbag environment, you have no choice but to run a scumbish operation to survive.

However, if a person still have a consciousness to understand it and to want to change, we should appreciate it – it is purely Christian.

      • Cold N. Holefield November 2, 2016 at 8:03 am #

In fact, since we know now that Thiel is Gay, and we know by virtue of his Palantir Software that he is a Nazi Fascist, one can safely say he is a revival of the infamous Brown Shirt Tradition. Gays are not a monolithic group that thinks and acts alike, just as Straights are not homogenous. I don’t think your boss Vlad would be pleased to know you are using Gays to advance your cause of miraculously making Trump POTUS. Vlad’s not too fond of Gays, last time I checked.

    TRUMP’S DEPLORABLE KKK SUPPORTERS

A black church in Mississippi was burned and vandalized with pro-Donald Trump graffiti late Tuesday.

Authorities responded to the fire at Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church in Greenville, Mississippi, Tuesday night. Someone had spray-painted the words “Vote Trump” along the side of the building.

    • Cold N. Holefield November 2, 2016 at 12:59 pm #

I wonder if they’re going to vote Trump now? Seems like a smart tactic to get people to vote for Trump.

      • wpa_ccc November 2, 2016 at 1:28 pm #

Whether they are deplorable Trump supporters, or whether it is a deplorable false flag operation does not matter. They are equally deplorable. Though some deplorable Trump supporters favor burning Black churches, I am against burning Black churches.

        • Cold N. Holefield November 2, 2016 at 2:02 pm #

I’m guessing it was purposeful arson to get an insurance payout or it was yet more Dirty Tricks from The Clintons. It makes no sense for it to be Trump Supporters and you know it. You are so EVIL. You will do & say anything to support an ideology. Deceitful is too lenient of a word for the likes of you, whatever you are.

          • wpa_ccc November 2, 2016 at 3:13 pm #

I appreciate that you read and respond to my posts. Your opinions carry no weight with me, because the KKK does hate and does burn Black churches, but the time you invest is appreciated.

          • Cold N. Holefield November 2, 2016 at 4:07 pm #

I don’t deny the KKK has burned Black Churches, but every Black Church that burns isn’t at the gasoline-soaked hands of the KKK. If the KKK wants Trump elected, and I think they do or what’s left of the KKK, then why would they spray paint Vote Trump on a Black Church they burned knowing it would get publicity? It would have the opposite effect.

Cold: “Why would [the KKK] spray paint Vote Trump on a Black Church they burned knowing it would get publicity? It would have the opposite effect.”

Are you sure about that? Dylann Roof is accused of walking into a church and murdering nine people in cold blood, in order to provoke a race war. Wouldn’t we all love to think that it would have the opposite effect, and that people would draw together against him and in support of his victims? Sure we would, but it ain’t so.

Terrorist tactics aren’t aimed at the facts. They’re aimed at destroying trust, because the terrorist’s interests are served when people are forced into the most extreme positions.

Elrond, you’re right — I forgot that Vote Gore was spray-painted on both Twin Towers before they fell into their footprints that fateful day. “Obama said he knows and trusts Clinton.” –finca

Former Republican Massachusetts governor and Libertarian candidate says the same thing, based on 40 years of knowing Hillary personally and working with Hillary professionally.

Your description as “captive” carries no weight since you do not have years of experience working with Hillary as Obama and Weld do.

      • Cold N. Holefield November 2, 2016 at 4:13 pm #

The mere fact Obama has to say this is damning in and of itself. The POTUS doth protest too much. Plus, who’s Obama to offer an endorsement of trust & integrity? He’s a huge fucking liar like all the rest. He said he didn’t know Hillary was using a private server until recently and yet he had to initiate an Executive Authorization for her to email him from an email address outside his previously approved Cyber Cone of Security. That’s just one of a sea of lies he’s told over the years. So his endorsement is meaningless, and, in fact, further damnation of Hillary since he’s a proven liar.

LIBERTARIAN CANDIDATE SAYS HILLARY IS MORAL, RELIABLE, HONEST

Libertarian vice presidential nominee Bill Weld admitted Tuesday night that his ticket’s shot of winning the White House went out the window when it failed to qualify for the presidential debates, and as such, he went on TV in a new role: surrogate for Democrat Hillary Clinton.
“Well I’m here vouching for Mrs. Clinton and I think it’s high time somebody did,” the former Republican Massachusetts governor said on MSNBC’s “The Rachel Maddow Show” Tuesday night. “And I’m doing it based on my personal experience with her and I think she deserves to have people vouch for her other than members of the Democratic National Committee. So, I’m here to do that.”

Weld, running alongside former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson on the Libertarian ticket, said the former secretary of state is “a person of high moral character, a reliable person. And an honest person, however so much Mr. Trump may rant and rave to the contrary.” He said he has known her for four decades, both professionally and personally, and for a resident of a swing state like North Carolina weighing a vote for Johnson or one of the major-party candidates, Weld happily made the case for Clinton.”

They had it all set, a winning formula: Huma would run the country while Hillary focused on making billions through the Clinton Foundation. Thank God, some FBI agents stepped forward to force Comey to do the right thing. And they wouldn’t have done it without the rise of Trump. Thank God for Trump.

Loretta Lynch is trying to stop the FBI investigation of the Clinton Foundation. There were two investigations in other words. Comey cucked out of the first one about her mishandling of classified information. This one is even bigger and more important. Even if she gets out of this one too, at the very least they can try and keep her out of the Oval Office. That’s the least they can do. To do less is simply criminal. The Clintons have to be stopped.

COURT DATE SET FOR TRUMP RAPE OF 13 YEAR OLD GIRL

Trump faces an actual court date: a Dec. 16 status conference with the judge for his rape case.

The accuser says Trump raped her repeatedly at parties thrown by since-convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, who was widely known to throw wild parties with young women and girls. Epstein was convicted in 2008 of soliciting an underage girl for prostitution and served a small portion of an 18-year sentence.

In a New York magazine profile of Epstein before he went to prison, and long before Trump ran for president, Trump acknowledged that he knows Epstein. “I’ve known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy,’’ Trump says in the story. “He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it ? Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”

The lawsuit against Trump includes affidavits from two anonymous women who say they were witnesses. Yet there’s been little coverage of the case.

    ANOTHER DOMESTIC TERRORIST CAPTURED

Scott Michael Greene, 46, was captured in Dallas County, Iowa, hours after the “ambush-style” shooting deaths of two police officers early Wednesday, a Des Moines Police Department spokesman confirmed.

But you will never see the word “terrorist” connected to Greene. You see, Greene is another white terrorist, and white terrrorists who are Christians and kill people are not called terrorists. That term is reserved for Muslims who kill people. Of course, anyone who kills is not a true Muslim, because Islam is a religion of peace. And anyone who kills is not a true Christian because Christianity is a religion of love.

  95. wpa_ccc November 2, 2016 at 4:47 pm #

Former KKK grand wizard David Duke, a vocal Trump supporter, announced his run for Senate in Louisiana earlier this year. White nationalists want to make it seem like Trump is saying what many Americans were thinking. But only a minority of Americans support the KKK.

Trump’s support rests with a shrinking group of white voters who are anxious about immigration and economic shifts. Trump is likely to lose. Duke is extremely likely to lose. Thanks to Trump white supremacists have been brought out into the light. That is a good thing.

There is no danger that white nationalism will become a dominant political ideology in the U.S.

The amount of monies spent to hire disinformationalist toadies and minions by the Establishment to keep themselves ‘established’ in positions of comfort, ease and power is as piddling as the drops of urine shaken off after a piss. However, it’s coming to the point where the governed (i.e. the rest of us) will no longer give their consent to shitheads that are only “in the game” to perpetuate their own outlandish prosperity and position. Explain “The Deplorables” *admitted* 40% of the populace, if you dare. (Oh, that’s right, you don’t dare… I wouldn’t either, if I were you.)

It’s coming – and forgiveness will be in very short supply. When threats against those who have nothing to lose have evolved into the solid joke that denies the weight of numbers, it’s all over but the gradual pivot to the reckoning…
(The military may grok this, but they certainly aren’t going to make it widely known to the public. After all, they have their Masters too.)

  97. Dumbedup November 2, 2016 at 6:45 pm #

I’ve just now decided to vote for Hillary Clinton. Despite all the allegations of corruption, the Clinton Foundation, Benghazi, her husband’s pardon of Marc Rich, emails, pay to play, and that she is in bed with Wall Street, all of which likely have some measure of truth behind them, I cannot bring myself to vote for Donald Trump for one simple reason. While Hillary may feather her own nest and wage war and meddle in other country’s affairs Donald Trump is more likely to wage war on his own people because of his bigotry. That is the bigger sin. But I suspect that in the long run it won’t matter. Trump, if elected, would be impeached for what he does after he is elected and Hillary will be impeached for what she did before she was elected. Hillary’s impeachment might take some time. Trump would not make it to the summer of 2017.

Good Lord! What has happened to civil discourse? CFN has become a CF of demagoguery. If someone posts something that other members disagree with they attack the poster personally. Mainly it is Trump supporters. They don’t believe in civility.

I honestly labored over this decision (and still am) and it is either vote for Hillary or not vote. With Hillary in the lead I would just not cast a vote for President. Now that she is tottering on defeat I can’t let my vote be not counted. My concern is if she is impeached that Tim Kaine will be President. If Trump is impeached Mike Pence will be President. But I will predict that if Trump wins this country will be in flames. It might happen if he loses. Our best chance to survive is with Hillary as President.

Someone refute the argument that Trump is a more divisive candidate than Hillary. Please … I’m all ears so persuade me. (Preferably without insult.)

Expert of US Department of Energy on nuclear weapons Robert Kelly compared the new Russian intercontinental ballistic missile RS-28, “Sarmat” and Apple smartphones.

According to him, the electronics in the iPhone demonstrates an unprecedented progress, while the Russian ICBM components remained at the level of the 70s.

Western experts were excited about the first image of the new Russian intercontinental ballistic missile. Prospective ICBM can carry up to 16 warheads and can wipe out European country the size of France or England.

The publication New York Post called new Russian nuclear weapon “devil in disguise”, recalling the previous generation of Soviet and Russian ICBM R-36M2 “Voivoda” (SS-18 “Satan” in NATO classification).

But expert on the US Department of Energy’s nuclear weapons Robert Kelly believes that Russia has not achieved significant progress in the case of the RS-28, “Sarmat”, as the new missile, he said, using an outdated electronics.

Back in the day of CFN peak oil frenzy there were weekly predictions of economic collapse as the oil was going to run out. And it was. It dipped down to five million barrels a day in 2008 in US field production.

Then a funny thing happened: Obama became president and production started increasing. Obama the savior. Now the inventories are overflowing.

Crude inventories in the U.S. increased by 14.4 million barrels in the week ended Oct. 28, 2016 according to the Energy Information Administration. OPEC production rose by 170,000 barrels per day to new records in October 2016.

Whereas once CFN was predicting $200 a barrel oil due to peak oil and predicted shortages (oil was supposedly running out), now West Texas Intermediate crude oil is $45.15 a barrel.

The best laid plans of Long Emergencies often go astray.

The private sector added 147,000 jobs in October, according to the latest report from ADP. Consensus was for a stronger reading of 170,000. But the official U.S. jobs report cannot be rigged to make anybody look good. The official US labor statistics are impartial, neutral, and not capable of being manipulated for political reasons.

“just for your erudition, wpa, “white” civilisation created virtually everything that makes life more comfortable, enjoyable, free of disease, wondrous.” — fodase fodase

It is often assumed that since Ancient Greek times Europeans have pioneered their own development, and that the East has been a passive by-stander in the story of progressive world history.

The truth is that there were two processes that enabled the Rise of the ‘Oriental West’. First, each major developmental turning point in Europe was informed in large part by the assimilation of Eastern inventions (e.g. ideas, technologies and institutions) which diffused from the more advanced East across the Eastern-led global economy between 500–1800.

Second, the construction of European identity after 1453 led to imperialism, through which Europeans appropriated many Eastern resources (land, labour and markets). Marginalised Eastern peoples deserve to be placed in the forefront of the story of progress in world history.

You “whites” stole other people’s stuff. Now you claim you “created” stuff. Whites stole other people’s ideas. You stole, you enslaved, you murdered… then you have the chutzpah to say you “created” civilization.

There are 92 naturally-occurring chemical elements. Of these, 12 were known in ancient times, and the identities and nationalities of those who discovered them are not known. The remaining 80 elements were discovered by scientists in western nations, either the United States or the nations of Europe.

It seems a real stretch to call the discovery of a chemical element an act of theft.

I’m watching the game and cheering for the parent team of Des Moines’ Iowa Cubs. It’s a great distraction from recent events

Many of you have heard about the ambush murder today of two Des Moines area police officers. My part of the world was described a couple of months ago in these comments as “idyllic”. It is not.

In less than 12 months there have been four murders within seven blocks of our home. Also, one beating a few blocks away resulted in brain damage for the victim. Three days ago, we learned that a meth lab had been operating in a garage across the street.

We are part of the United States, and not exempt from what’s going on in towns like Chicago and Camden.

I posted about this ambush of police officers today. The killer, Scott Michael Greene, 46, was captured in Dallas County, Iowa, hours after the shooting deaths of two police officers early Wednesday.

Greene is another white terrorist, and white terrrorists who are Christians and kill people are not called terrorists. That term is reserved for Muslims who kill people.

Of course, a Muslim who kills is not a true Muslim, because Islam is a religion of peace. A Christian who kills is not a true Christian, because Christianity is a religion of love taught by the Prince of Peace.

Those chemical elements were discovered because the foundations of modern science were laid long before the 1600s to 1900s, and those foundations were particularly influenced by Islamic civilization.

The Muslims were the leading scholars between the seventh and fifteenth centuries, and were the heirs of the scientific traditions of Greece, India and Persia. After appropriation and assimilation, they built on these discoveries, and developed a truly Islamic science that led worldwide knowledge in all scientific fields, including medicine.

These activities were cosmopolitan, in that the participants were Arabs, Persians, Central Asians, Christians and Jews, and later included Indians and Turks.

The transfer of the knowledge of Islamic science to the West through various channels paved the way for the Renaissance, and for the scientific revolution in Europe.

The public in the West is generally unaware of this important contribution to modern science and to the culture of the Middle Ages.

Islamic civilization is part of our own heritage, and the great Islamic scientists whose works were translated into Latin, such as Jabir ibn Hayan (Geber), Ibn Sina (Avicenna), al-Razi (Rhazes), Ibn al-Haytham (Adhazin) and al-Khuwarizmi, are as important as any great European scientist.

Hillary Clinton and the Muslim Brotherhood

The FBI investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private e-mails is not directed at a case of negligence in the face of security regulations, but at a conspiracy attempting to eliminate any trace of her correspondence which should have been archived on the servers of the Federal State. It could include exchanges about illegal financing or corruption, and others concerning the links between the Clintons, the Muslim Brotherhood and the jihadists.

Huma Abedin is a US citizen who was raised in Saudi Arabia. Her father is director of an academic revue – of which, for many years, she was the sub-editor – which regularly prints comments from the Muslim Brotherhood. Her mother is president of the Saudi association of female members of the Brotherhood, and worked with the wife of Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi. Her brother Hassan works for Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the religious authority of the Brotherhood and spiritual counsellor of Al-Jazeera.

Huma Abedin is today a central figure of the Clinton campaign, alongside the campaign director, John Podesta, ex-General Secretary of the White House under the Presidency of Bill Clinton. Podesta is also the appointed Congressional lobbyist for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – for the modest amount of $200,000 per month.

Clinton Foundation had employed Gehad el-Haddad as director for his «Climate» project – he is one of the world leaders of the Brotherhood, and had until that time been director of a Koranic TV programme. His father was one of the co-founders of the Brotherhood, when it was created by the CIA and MI6 in 1951. Gehad left the Foundation in 2012, when he became the spokesman for candidate Mohammed Morsi in Cairo, and then the official spokesman for the Muslim Brotherhood world-wide.

Given that all the jihadist leaders in the world have either come from the Muslim Brotherhood or the Sufi Order of the Naqshbandîs – the two components of the Muslim World League, the Saudi anti-Arab nationalist organisation – we would like to know more about Mrs. Clinton’s relations with Saudi Arabia and the Muslim Brotherhood.

The REAL Terrorists are the ones with all the power — The Global Elite. And The Global Elite is represented by their lackeys in Washington, D.C. (Den of Corruption) to include the entire National Security State that seeks to control all information and to shape all perceptions.

All of that comprises True Terror, and if you’re part of it, and I believe you are, you are a/the REAL Terrorist.

I wonder what the reaction of Hillary supporters would be if Wikileaks released confiscated emails showing the planning of the Black Church Burning and blaming it on Trump like they did by clandestinely inciting violence at Trump Rallies? I bet the reaction would be exactly like the following Tweet. This election proves why and how Hitler got elected. Malformed people can not only be easily led to the slaughter, but they can also be easily led to slaughter. Americans are largely malformed by an Education System designed to stunt their psychical growth and destroy their human potential and then they’re misinformed by a propagandistic press that feeds them sensational bullshit 24/7. And yes, that includes Fox News who likes to Trumpet Trump’s claims that The Media is biased as if it is not somehow The Media and also biased.

      Clinton has not “got elected”.

Getting a new York liberal installed as the ” leader” of the conservative movement, so he could take the blame for an economic collapse, and then gett ng him elected, by a hair, must be acknowledged as pretty crafty.

After a Trump victory, we could rejoice with a celebratory feast.
For starters, some might want to skewer the obnoxious obstructionist, stuff an apple in her mouth, and let the roast begin.

Some would pierce that plump pig with a spit, and let her turn and turn, burning that brown blob just like she’s burning the nation.

To me, Secy Clinton was a bad choice as candidate for President. Her husband has too many enemies for that to work.

As further evidence that the American public is being hoodwinked yet again, and that it makes no difference who becomes president, please note that Donald Trump has told his aides that he wants to nominate Steven Mnuchin as Secretary of the Treasury.

Unfortunately, those anti-establishment people who are hoping for change will be terribly disappointed if this occurs, because Mnuchin has been a partner of Goldman Sachs and previously has worked for the Soros Fund. Kind of reminds me of when “hope and change” Obama chose Larry Summers to be on his team; you saw how well that worked out.

What do you think of a Trump presidency now, Janos, et al?

    • Janos Skorenzy November 3, 2016 at 6:13 pm #

Another Jew? Bad news indeed if true. Trump has stood up to them more than anyone in living memory, but yes, he isn’t free of them. Alas, his own daughter has been taken.

For the uninitiated: Jews always want an “in” or a foot in the door. Always want to be on both sides so no matter who wins, they aren’t out completely. From this, people come to the false conclusion that everyone was is in with them or that the Jews don’t care who wins. Completely wrong: they obviously don’t want Trump to win anymore than they wanted Hitler to win. But they would have worked with Hitler (they did – google transfer agreement) and they will work with Trump. Obviously since Hitler lost, they erased all complicity from official history before demonizing him.

My little 6 year old granddaughter had a bad habit: She cheated at cards and games. When my wife asked her why she cheated she said,” because I really, really like to win”. So I said to her, “well, that’s not ok. You can cheat if you want to, but it won’t be with Grammie and me because we won’t play with you if you do. As a matter of fact, I’m taking the game away and we’re done playing for the day.”

She replied, ” but mama and daddy give me a second or third chance”.
I said, ” we dislike cheating so much that we won’t give you a second chance. In the future, if we’re playing cards or some other game, and we see you cheat even once, we’ll put the game away. No second chances”. Since we did that, she hasn’t cheated once. Problem solved.

Now, it’s not a big deal for a six year old to cheat because she didn’t understand why it was wrong (btw, we told her why), but an adult knows better. There’s no excuse for the things Hillary has done, and now it’s time to take the game away from her.

    • Cold N. Holefield November 4, 2016 at 7:35 am #

Bean, I agree with you completely, but The Game overall is rigged for Cheaters to win, so replacing one Cheater with another as your perceived proxy is just more of the same. Yet much was made of the Orthodox Jewish child when he managed to cheat the Gentile shop owner out of a penny in Old Europe. Have things really changed? In Jewish Culture, it’s not cheating that’s wrong, but who you cheat. Thus Madoff was condemned, not for what he did, but for doing it to Jews.

Are you willing to put your money where your big, tough mouth is you fucking coward? Or are you content, with your toothless grin, to rape your “opponents” in the backwoods at gunpoint? I was referring to the Midwestern Women (sorry I can’t remember her name or state) who get elected and used that as campaign motto. But thanks for playing. You really showed where your mind is.

But you’re not totally wrong. She was the wife of pig farmer and she was talking about castrating them I believe. Not very nice? Most of life isn’t, have you noticed? I mean you’re not just focusing on politics, right? Not if you have concerns like this. Are you a vegetarian? Have Reverence for Life? If you look carefully, you will come to realize that all life feeds off of other life. Only advanced Jain Monks are truly virtuous from this point of view – and then only at the end when they starve themselves to death.

So? So I appreciate concerns such concerns, but consistency is a devil and this is a road that leads against life. Perhaps a false road? Perhaps morality can be founded on another principle?

      • beantownbill. November 4, 2016 at 10:53 am #

I agree with you 100%. Only problem is it’s hard to have fun when I see people getting away with really bad stuff. No justice, you know. I know the universe is impersonal and justice is just a human concept, but since I live in a human-based part of the cosmos, I had hoped that people could have made justice work, at least where they have some control of their lives.

I get along with most people (except Janos-types), and I do have a lot of fun when I force myself to not think too much about this election. But knowing that we’re going to give control of our country (and to some extent, our lives) to either a mendacious, thieving grifter or a buffoonish narcissist, both being run by unseen powers behind the throne, feels like a burr occupying space in my consciousness. I don’t mourn for our country or for me, but I do mourn the loss of justice. But hey, the Cubs won the World Series, so fairness is not yet dead.

        “don’t you guys like anybody?”

I thought the two “backwoods gentlemen” in “Deliverance” interesting, complex characters. Consider the first gentleman, the one with the complete set of dentures, and his predilection for alliteration, finding commonality with Ned Beatty’s character and the need, as expressed by Dannyboy, to interact with your fellowman…not to mention doing so along with the responsibilities of large animal husbandry.

The second fellow, the gentleman sans front teeth… also of merit. Finding beauty and comfort in cultural/sexual diversity… and positive interaction with strangers. As Dannyboy says…”it is important to learn to get along with people and have fun”.

Yes, living in the backwoods has exposed me to a number of these archetypical characters…neighbors all!

            Janos,
No doubt Ned Beatty was memorable for that scene. Permit me an interesting story….

I read an account of the filming of Deliverance…they needed a few locals to play the parts filmed in the backwoods. They put out a call for locals and the gentleman (the rapist) was one of those responding. What was interesting was that he presented himself dressed and disheveled as pictured on screen…and without shoes. When the director’s assistant described the scene he would be in, and described the violence, the local opined…”Ive seen worse”. Heard he died recently, within a few years. He had become part of the culture.

    Cold,

totally agree. Most times things are exactly as they appear. You really can believe yer lyin’ eyes.

I’m repeating myself but I think it bears repeating, look at what they did to JFK and RFK. Nixon was the oligarch candidate of the day. But Jack and Bobby were two usurpers, Irish Catholics, sons of a reputed bootlegger, non Club members that insisted on entry into the hallowed halls.

The election in 1960 was close and it was dirty. Dirty as in the Chicago Mob getting dead people voting for Kennedy. After the debacle of the Bay of Pigs invasion it was just a matter of time.

And so what happened? JFK was hit in a public square in a big city, his brains all over Jackie and the car and the road. Then they shot the supposed assassin in a police station, no less, in front of TV cameras. Then the shooter of the shooter died in prison. Talk about sending a message.

Then they had a joke of a commission to investigate these outrages. But I guess Bobby mis-read the memo because he stayed in national politics and got shot five years later.

Nice and tidy wasn’t it? All the loose ends tied off, none of the conspirators EVER breathing a word, knowing full-well the lethal consequences.

If they did it to Kennedy they’ll do it to Trump. Things change you might say, but IMO, in the last two generations, not for the better.

The Oligarch elite don’t make too many bones about doing what they bloody well want. If in the past they operated in the shadows, nowadays they do it in broad daylight, for example, on an airport tarmac where a former president barges onto the jet of the present day Attorney General to make sure the understanding is understood, not giving a damn about appearances. The fix was in you say? So what, what are YOU gonna do?

If Trump, by some miracle, wins on Nov 8 he better watch his back. He is not the Deep State candidate. Mike Hayden already told him that the boys in the Pentagon might have trouble following his “illegal” orders as if they give a damn about legal niceties. If THAT wasn’t a clear message I don’t know what is.

    • Janos Skorenzy November 4, 2016 at 1:50 pm #

Yet Army barracks are Trump Cities. He is immensely popular among the rank and file. Ditto the Police. And ditto, thank God, among the FBI. It’s revolution time, Volly.

      • volodya November 4, 2016 at 2:42 pm #

I agree with the Archdruid when he sez that military personnel generally come from the very classes that have gotten so thoroughly screwed over. As such will they be the bulwark against popular unrest that the US government expects they will be? I doubt it. I really can’t see GI Joe from a rural trailer park shooting at boys much like him that come from trailer parks much like his.

What this election tells us is that, as I think K Dog tells it, Kansas ain’t buying their bullshit anymore. They used Jesus as a distraction from joblessness. That’s over and done. Maybe American soldier boys once saw the US military as their way out of an impossible economic situation. But, even if they managed to build careers of sorts in the service, how far does loyalty go?

Military training is SUPPOSED to instill obedience and remove natural inhibitions against killing. But young men are not automatons as we’ve seen throughout history. The French army stopped the Germans dead at Verdun but mutinied over execrable treatment at the hands of their superiors. German sailors mutinied in 1918 over orders that they saw as throwing away their lives in a war that was already lost.

The Hillary-ites may be in agreement over the deplorability of the deplorables. Better watch out who they’re insulting though. Inside and outside the military, the deplorables are armed.

“I really can’t see GI Joe from a rural trailer park shooting at boys much like him that come from trailer parks much like his.”

          V,
Unfortunately, history gives lie to that statement. Kent State, Waco Texas, New Orleans during Katrina’s aftermath. Troops can and will, with a bit of desensitizing and training, kill fellow citizens. Who were the KGB cadre in the bowels of the Lubyanka who killed (as opined) thousands of their own countrymen?

We would all feel safer if we were able to rely on the humanity of our fellow citizens…history, however, does not support that desire.

“I really can’t see GI Joe from a rural trailer park shooting at boys much like him that come from trailer parks much like his.”

Unless said Joe is suffering shell shock from killing manufactured enemies abroad for the corporate government in illegal war(s); he returns home to discover all the disconfirming evidence of his Trumped-up heroism in media; and he catches his wife and neighbor hitting his weed while shagging each other rotten in his humble single-wide abode. Flipping that kill switch is easier than you think.

We know from reading Your phony weekly Every Man diatribes that you can be this stupid, no matter if you’re a paid troll. And if you’re not a paid troll, then you are most certainly one of the trolls’ unpaid Hobgoblin CFN co-stars.

“Troops can and will, with a bit of desensitizing and training, kill fellow citizens.” E to V

A la the Stanley Milgram experiment… desensitizing or training is hardly necessary to get even ordinary citizens to do shocking things to rule breakers and wrong answer givers.

Just look how easy it’s been to funnel this year’s voter down two certain hellish paths.

Enough with the “deep down, people are good,” bullshit.

All of you… you ideo-arche-types — whether the paid troll disinformant or the effete hobgoblin pretend-intelect-innefectuals — are being studied and catalogued, not by government sorts, but by a new silent majority who won’t deal with you dead-weights nicely if and when a triage scenario arises. The weekly CFN regulars are Bloglodytes all, to be stacked as sand bags during a real fight, or tossed to the Alpo pits during rebuild time. You are visible.

Agree, but Voldoya may be right too. It may well shake out differently in different places. One old tactic the Chinese used was to bring in troops from outside Peking to put down the uprising there. Since our National Guard was federalized with little or no protest, this can easily be done here. Rural White Guardsmen will get a crack at evil Northern Liberals. And colored Guardsmen from the Cities will get a crack at evil White rurals.

    Deep State in Revolt

The structure of American Political power is extremely complex.

There is a public authority, senators, congressmen, the president and his entourage, what’s on the surface. They represent public policy. These are representatives of the political elite, party bosses, functionaries of the Democratic and Republican parties, the party nomenclature.

There are influential lobbying circles, working with policy makers, expert and ideological pressure groups, such as the neocons. There are financial elite that exist by themselves, but are willing to actively promote their own interests. For example, Clinton – a product that they are actively promoting (though after scandals that surfaced recently, rather unsuccessfully). All these “cream” of society is called in English “the establishment”.

However, this picture lacks the most important element. “State machine”, the military and state bureaucracy made up of real people who go to the civil service, and even more in power or diplomatic structure with a definite patriotic motivation.

Over the years, they learn to appreciate the State as the most important value, regardless of the color of politics that come to the White House, or as a head of their department. Recall the last time the head of the Pentagon was a military or State Department – a diplomat? These positions tend to go to politicians, rather than representatives of the state bureaucracy.

In the American political journalism this bureaucratic structure, the core of the State machine, there is a special term Deep State They are members of the power structure, which, as a rule, do not appear on television, but that is the “flesh” of the state. The purpose of Representatives of the Deep State is to save the state and follow the national interests. In critical circumstances, representatives of the Deep State are capable of acting contrary to the rules of law to prevent the defeat of the United States.

  135. FincaInTheMountains November 5, 2016 at 8:31 am #

    Deep State in Revolt

Where the State turns into ideology, it itself changes its quality, ceases to be a form and becomes the content, ceases to be an accident policy, and becomes its essence. Becoming the idea, the State is separated from the group of pragmatic statesmen, and becomes part of a special elite group – the one that professes the State as a philosophy and even religion – described the phenomenon editor in chief of Constantinople, the philosopher Alexander Dugin.

The Deep state concept does not mean that it is something monolithic. On the contrary, differences are possible inside, including on political issues. Various power and bureaucratic structures with different assessments of the country’s national interests, have a different background and tradition, attracting people of different psychological types, and professional culture affects different ideological orientation.

A classic example – described by Seymour Hersh and a number of other authors conflict between the Pentagon, and in particular military intelligence and civil Obama administration and the CIA about the cooperation with Russia in the conflict in Syria.

While military were willing to share information and coordinate with their Russian and even Syrian Colleagues to oppose displacement of Bashar al-Assad, the CIA heavily armed “moderate opposition”, which quickly turned into a radical. The former head of military intelligence, US Lieutenant General Michael Flynn later became a key adviser to Donald Trump’s foreign policy.

88 high-ranking military retirees joined Flynn, openly supporting Trump, whose position with respect to the anti-terrorist alliance with Russia is well known. But the apparatus of the State Department actually became more bloodthirsty. In the summer of 2016 it was reported that 51 staff members of the State Department signed an internal memo calling for management to begin a war against Assad. And this is also an example of pressure on the political elite from the Deep state.

    Deep State in Revolt

FBI and Clinton: First rebellion of the Deep state

Thus, the establishment, the elite and the Deep state may overlap on some issues, but they have different objectives. We can not ignore Deep state, but such a phenomenon exists.

Moreover, the Clinton scandal and the FBI shows that in the “deep state” there was an internal contradiction. Part of the American security services, which, in contrast to cosmopolitan CIA are the “deep America” resisted the ravages of establishment and does not want to turn a blind eye to the Clinton crimes.

The Deep state realized that to allow the sick and easily manipulated woman to become a president – a direct step to the loss of sovereignty of the country, and it’s time to support a candidate who advocates the national interests – Donald Trump.

According to information leaked to the American press, on the lower level, among the FBI employees have accumulated serious discontent. Another would be: Clinton harboring their de facto head of the department ruined reputation and undermined the credibility of policymakers. In protest, many agents even filed resignations as the institution steeped in incurable corruption. In fact, this is the first serious revolt of those responsible for the fate of the State on the part of Deep state.

The fact is that public officials and politicians come and go, but real power remains. That Deep state is responsible for the country’s future. And if they allow coming to power of criminal Clinton who will begin under her demonic laughter bomb the Middle East and increase the national debt of the United States, the responsibility will fall on the core of the bureaucracy.

To be clear, the issue was whether the military would act as a bulwark against civil insurrection. It isn’t whether soldiers will or won’t kill fellow citizens.

As ElysianFields points out, soldiers have and they will. ElysianFields referenced mass killings like the Kent State massacre. I remember it well.

Some questions: what would be the fuel for the uprising? Who would these rebels be? Who would risk their lives and liberty?

Look to places and people that have nothing to lose. These would be the same places that provide manpower for the modern military. So would soldier boys side WITH the rebels?

Per Janos, would the soldier boys take the opportunity to level their rifles on people not intended by civil and military leadership? As Janos sez, rural whites taking a crack at northern liberals, people that nod their heads and act so almighty superior when Hillary sez “deplorables”.

It’s not that there aren’t historic cleavages. You have pre-existing national fault lines, and now, as the Bernie and Trump phenomenon show and as Hillary’s contemptuous rhetoric indicates, fractures that delineate economic and social class.

The point in the case of a civil insurrection, will American soldier boys take sides WITH the rebels? I wouldn’t be complacent that it won’t happen. Soldiers are not automatons.

      V,
Your clarification presents an entirely different scenario. On the short-term, a separate event or riot, the troops have, and would continue, to perform as instructed. On the long term, there could be, as there is currently in our society, a Balkanization, the fault lines falling along racial, social, religious, cultural and class distinction. These fault lines were evident in Vietnam, where racial issues, at times, overcame training and doctrine.

I can site, a few examples, of what is currently occurring in Oregon. Our interim Governor generated an executive order requiring all transfers of firearms to have completed a background check…in effect, disallowing an occasional sale, which is permitted by Federal Law. A number of elected Sheriff’s have publically stated that they would not enforce that law at the local level…unilaterally declaring the order unconstitutional. Oregon law also allows the recreational use of marijuana, which is still a Felony offence at the Federal level…local law enforcement has chosen not to enforce the Federal Statues…although they could.

Weak examples, of course, but to your point.

I just finished reading “Black Flags the Rise of ISIS” by Joby Warrick (20 years a reporter for the Washington Post and winner of a couple of Pulitzer Prizes).

The key and unmistakable take-away: Islam is a religion of violence.

On a page preceding the Contents is the following quote:

“I bring the men who desire death as ardently as you desire life.” -Khalid ibn al-Walid (seventh-century Islamic warrior, companion of Muhammad)

    • Janos Skorenzy November 5, 2016 at 2:42 pm #

And we know that Saudi Arabia funds ISIS – and Hillary Clinton. Thus there is a major conflict of interest there if we are really supposed to be against ISIS with her as president.

And as for the “good” guys:

At the same time, some Israelis hold extremist views regarding organ extraction. In 1996 Jewish Week reported that Rabbi Yitzhak Ginsburgh, a leader of the Lubavitch sect of Judaism and the dean of a religious Jewish school in a West Bank settlement, had stated: “If a Jew needs a liver, can you take the liver of an innocent non-Jew passing by to save him? The Torah would probably permit that.”

Ginsburgh elaborated: “Jewish life has infinite value. There is something infinitely more holy and unique about Jewish life than non-Jewish life.”

While the Israeli government briefly arrested Ginsburgh, and most Israelis decry such beliefs, an Israeli scholar on Jewish scriptural views and ethnic chauvinism said: “The sad thing is, these statements are in our books.” He pointed out that while such Talmudic texts were “purely theoretical” at the time they were written, now they’re being cited “in circumstances where Jews have a state and are empowered.”

Dr. A. Clare Brandabur, an American professor, writes that information in the Swedish article resonated with reports she heard during the first intifada.

She described interviewing the head of the Red Crescent in Gaza, mentioning “reports of shootings of Palestinian children at times when there were no ”˜clashes’ going on—a solitary 6-year-old entering his schoolyard in the morning with his book-bag on his back. The soldiers abducted the wounded child at gunpoint, then his body would be returned a few days later having undergone an ”˜autopsy at Abu Kabir Hospital.’”

She asked the director “if he had considered the possibility that these killings were being done for organ transplant, since…it is not allowed to take Jewish organs to save a Jewish life, but it is allowed to take the organs of non-Jews to save Jewish lives.”

He had “suspected such things,” he replied, “but since they had no access to the records of Abu Kabir Hospital, there was no way to verify these suspicions.”

The Swedish newspaper’s call for an investigation into Israel’s treatment of Palestinian bodies is now being echoed by others. Such an investigation could dispel inaccurate suspicions, absolve the innocent, and discover the guilty.

Israel and its powerful advocates abroad are doing their best to prevent that from happening.

      Alison Weir

With a few exceptions, I don’t see US Army participating in quelling civilian rebellion – no way.

However, the ISIS operatives that have been brought in from Syria under the guise of refugees – that’s completely different story, those guys are extremely dangerous.

If they are not tracked by relevant Deep State patriotic security services and will be allowed taking combat positions – like occupying entire US town and taking residents as hostages – enormous civilian casualties would follow.

The appropriate course of action in combating such “refugees” would be organizing a self-defense local militia forces with close cooperation with local law enforcement and State Guard. The primary goal of such militia would be notifying the authorities and holding ground until the cavalry arrives.

“I really can’t see GI Joe from a rural trailer park shooting at boys much like him that come from trailer parks much like his.” –V

“To be clear, the issue was whether the military would act as a bulwark against civil insurrection. It isn’t whether soldiers will or won’t kill fellow citizens.” –V

“As ElysianFields points out, soldiers have and they will.” –V
This is another whirlwind of words where conflation, incongruity, and bullshit are passed as clarification for an initially ridiculous premise.

But here’s the nugget of dialogue worth consideration:
“On the short-term, a separate event or riot, the troops have, and would continue, to perform as instructed. On the long term, there could be, as there is currently in our society, a Balkanization, the fault lines falling along racial, social, religious, cultural and class distinction. These fault lines were evident in Vietnam, where racial issues, at times, overcame training and doctrine.” –E

Except during Vietnam the population wasn’t as used to integration as it has become, and while proportionally corrupt, the government wasn’t considered illegitimate then, either.

The legitimacy crisis of government and full scale systemic corruption is here now. And despite the contentiousness of the election, the HRC acolytes and Trumpians do not comprise or possess the strength and influence fringe media types equate to them. They merely represent two sides of the coin of corruption and self-serving tendency of selective blame. So look for voter turnout to be the lowest ever for a modern election; those voters are pissing-off a larger mixed group of generally disenfranchised and frustrated onlookers. Those disenfranchised aren’t ready or even able to fight yet. Many are still baffled by the rank stupidity and blind obedience of the active electorate.

Sadly, fence-sitters need more time to wake up. If the economy falters in the short term, the majority of people might band together across lines to challenge the system, so to say. The sudden awakening won’t succeed, in my opinion, but the like of Chris Hedges predicts the rise of seemingly viable third-party candidate in coming years. Still, remember the predicaments vs. problems paradox. The delusion that it’s still possible to save the status quo civilization in of itself still persists in the mentality of the passive majority. That’s the Grand Let Down that will occur before the people frantically begin to cull the young and old in the final scramble for survival.

We should in the short term bank on larger more violent outbursts in pockets of the country as the LE drags on. These skirmishes will be smashed, soldiers will kill the perpetrators, and rule enforcement will harden for everyone.

I’ll check back with you on that for final numbers. I’m doubtful.

There’s some talk that Trump has made himself a willing puppet of the so called alt-right, and supposedly this “movement” has significantly grown this cycle. I admittedly had a minimal idea of what the Alt-Right even is but soon found this podcast a few days ago: http://www.c-realm.com/wp-content/uploads/CRR020.mp3

It features Keith Preston of https://attackthesystem.com/, who discusses alt-right origins (starts at 22min). It turns out, the usual white nationalist/genetic racist types hijacked what seemed originally to be an interesting political philosophy. Now the fringe alt-media goobers are uniting under the alt-right banner. You champion these discredited distortions here constantly, so I’m not surprised you feel that the movement is something special and gaining momentum.

I’m doubtful, but will check back post Super Tuesday.

The Alt-Right was a natural manifestation of the White Race’s desire to live. There is no Western Culture without the Western Race. Men like you want the scent without the flower – it cannot be.

      3D,
I believe it was in 2010 that, as a rider on an appropriation bill, that Congress passed, and was signed into law what in effect was the suspension of the Posse Comitatus provisions which disallow the military from conducting tactical operations in the Continental US. I remember specifically watching Obama explain that it was done, but promised he would not abuse the issue.

Haven’t heard much of this issue since…but it is in accord with the up-armoring of local law enforcement. Civil order will be maintained.

      • 3D November 5, 2016 at 7:46 pm #

        Agreed, E.

I sort of gave up on tracking those sneaky legislative enactments myself. From the Patriot Act to the NDAA we’ve sat mostly silent and watched as the U.S. government trained good ol’ boys of all ethnic backgrounds to fight together via illegal incursions in the Middle East to deal with civil insurgencies in the Homeland. Those who’ve returned from war easily transitioned to the police force; thus nation wide, conflict de-escalation training techniques were abandoned for kill-first-question-later enforcement survival strategy. This is old news.

In fairness, there were federal legal challenges to the legislative maneuvers you mention, but they all failed, no? Chris Hedges has plenty to say on those matters. Again, old news.

Anyhow, If those troops didn’t recognize a dubiously manufactured enemy over yonder it’s pathetically stupid to believe they’ll recognize them here. Even so, I haven’t seen any evidence that a well-organized, armed, funded, and numerous populist/nationalist rebellion is lurking ’round the corner, have you? When the folk are ready for that it will be a little late in the game. Trump supporters are little more than grossly incompetent youtube info warriors. So little threat there.

Still, minor yet violent urban/institutional clashes and rural ideological skirmishes with gov. alphabet agencies aren’t hard to imagine, and these will be put down one way or another in the short term.

Some dark stormy day when you are wearing your burberry, I come in wearing my cheap, knock off one – but mongraphed nonetheless. You go to use the rest room and I exchange them. You freak out and devote your life to searching for it and me. I pretend to search for you as well as if the exchange was a mistake. It all be a combination of Desperately Seeking Susan, The King of N.Y., and the World of Henry Orient. You will be running after everybody wearing one. I will make narrow escapes, stepping in and out subway cars, holding the door open with my umbrella. By this time you know it’s me, but I act frightened and end up calling the police. Sooner or later it will all blow over. You will realize that you haven’t enjoyed yourself so much in years and will consider me a fine fellow.

Or perhaps you will corner me, and I will have to adopt a karate stance. As Batman once said, Karate is only effective with the kiai or yell. So the villains wait until he and Robin are hoarse to move in. I hope you don’t do this. I need you as an angel investor not an angel….

Few days back I was able to communicate with some people directly working for Trump and counting on making a career under the Trump presidency as US de-Clintonizers.

And I do not know how Trump himself, but they are well aware that the struggle of such magnitude can not be without a spiritual basis. In this regard, I suggest you to recall that according to the Neocon (Hillary’s) eschatology (which Trump fights) Russian President Vladimir Putin is Gog in the land of Magog, the prince of Meshech and Tubal.

Then I suggest looking at the very end of the Republican convention that nominates candidate Trump for US president from the Republican Party.

    E,

a follow-on from my response above:

For me, the short-term idea of a long emergency falls within a 10-year window. Things get very hot literally and figuratively come the late 2020s. Expect a minimum 2-degree celcius temperature increase over the already occurred 1.6-degree rise from the established 13.5-degree pre-industrial baseline. I leave out a lot of developing science from my extremely conservative guess about global average temperature rise here. Thereafter, social bullshit becomes much harder to predict. I expect mass migration to the lower hemisphere to begin in America ’round about then. The U.S. military guesses about the same, I suspect.

Head of election campaign of Hillary Clinton, John Podesta turned out to be a Satanist, and his participation in all kinds of satanic rituals put out for everyone to see, and the Madame herself went to the Island of Pedophiles in Caribbean Sea, which is called “The Island of orgies.”

And her husband, US President Bill Clinton was on the island as much as 20 times, and description of these orgies are on the computer of Huma Abedin’s husband with descriptions of rituals, which involved John Podesta, that reminded me the artistry of the Crusaders in Constantinople in 1204 that made me really sick for several months after reading about them.

Moreover, these descriptions have made a very strong impression on the employees of the New York police department, who:

    a) have seen a lot and they are difficult to surprise by the description of any atrocities.

    b) passed the data to the FBI agents who, seeing them, rebelled and forced the head of the FBI to reopen the criminal case against Hillary Clinton, (because otherwise they would simply leak information to the press)

    c) forced the Catholic Church of the United States to announce Hillary Rodham Clinton the agent of Devil

And the story was told by the head of US Special Forces and founder of Blackwater private military company Erik Prince, who also saw a lot of things, but he felt sick, having familiarized himself with the computer of Huma’s husband.

A Sandersistas maintain that Sanders brother’s grandchildren were taken to the island and threatened in case of refusal of Bernie Sanders to endorse Hillary Clinton to use them in accordance with the rituals, in which John Podesta was involved.

Ah, notice the consummate CFN Troll himself, or is C&H just another one of CFN’s prolific Hobgoblin weekly regulars… no question or distinction, really.

I’ve watched the C&H caricature evolve for some time. I first noticed his entry to this community ’round about the time Michael C. Ruppert committed suicide, and Cold made himself known by disrespecting any who identified with Ruppert’s legacy. Cold’s shtick back then was very cruel, and contrary to JHK’s central ideas. He immediately singled out several CFN posters and worked hard to track them to his own site, for whatever sinister purposes. He didn’t go over well initially and was suspected as being another iteration of the notorious Asoka himself. He stuck with it though, and because of his exemplary ability to turn a phrase, he was able to find his camouflage. And recently, JHK described one of Cold’s own blog titles/CFN remarks as “nice” and suddenly cold was the new big titty girl at school.

Congratulations asshole. The ratfink can always count on the short memories of old men, huh.

As for me, well, my unpolished writing betrays me for exactly what I am. A modestly literate, deeply frustrated white guy who has been examining the collapse narrative for a few years and has finally come to some dire conclusions that in some ways parallel but also detract from JHK’s. I’ll also confess to being far more cynical and near certain that, as much as I appreciate the World Made By Hand idea, it’s game over for complex life on Earth. We’re all watching and coping as Western Civilization take a nose dive just the same. It’s undeniable no matter the spin. If this makes me a disinformant, fine.

To quote Justice Louis D. Brandeis: “We can have Democracy, or we can have wealth concentrated in the hands of a few, but we cannot have both.” The present era is comparable to the era of the robber barons of the late 1800’s. We need another “trust buster”, but I don’t know where they are gonna come from. Our two “fine” candidates don’t come close to filling the bill. Trump brags about not paying taxes, and Hillary always has her hand out.

Huge difference between a businessman trying to compete in a certain legal environment by established rules and a corrupt politician, who is responsible for establishing those rules.

I bet you every year take an itemised deduction to write off your mortgage and State and real estate taxes: according to your logic you shouldn’t do that.

    • Janos Skorenzy November 6, 2016 at 2:01 pm #

Brandeis was a member of a Jewish secret society dedicated to overthrowing White America. To that end, he used illegal means to get Civil Rights legislation passed.

In other words, he had no problem with too few hands, as long as those hands were Jewish.

        “In other words…”

        what does this even mean?

        • Janos Skorenzy November 6, 2016 at 9:17 pm #

Literally, it means to say the same thing in a different way. But in fact, it often means “in summary – drawing a conclusion for those too lazy or otherwise unable to do so.

“I don’t know, 3D. TLE was written in 2005 and I expected it would be well underway by now, 2016. JHK still claims that the lack of affordable energy is limiting capital formation and stunting economic growth in the US and WEurope.” — Back Row

As you know, JHK often podcasts with Art Berman, Gail Tverberg, and others sincerely knowledgeable about energy economy and so on. In my opinion, their analyses express well what can happen with still highly abundant natural gas and petroleum. Though plentiful and, for the time being, cheap, all that oil and gas may end up being left in the ground (It certainly should be).

Nonetheless, the Peak Oil hypothesis, specifically with regard to high EROI easy to refine oil, is absolutely correct. No intelligent person disputes this… what is in contention is how technology postpones the inevitable and what effects said tech has on production in the near-term. I gave up two years ago looking to JHK or any economist for guidance on how that story plays out. Economics is not hard-science based and therefore useless to a guy like me.

JHK uses a heuristic approach to encapsulate his thesis on the oil price mechanism. He says oil priced above $75 kills the economy and below kills the oil companies. Art Berman employs a little more nuance and explains how $50 a barrel is manageable but precarious, if my memory serves. But you chimed in on my remark about climate change, not Peak Oil.

Listen, fuck whatever you’ve heard or think about Di Caprio or whichever liberal boogeyman you think is out to get you. I’m just as annoyed by those assholes as you are and find their bleeding-heart documentaries every bit as disingenuous as C&H and WPACCC. The only thing I’m really interested in watching is how much global average temperature (GAT) increases annually in the next ten years. Recent data suggested a 0.2 Celsius (20%) record temp. rise between 2014 and ’15. Nothing prior exceeded a .1 degree increase, and there were off-trend no increase years, but the up-trend is clear. I’m waiting for 2016 data, but say that figure .2 is accurate and bankable. Say 20% annual increase is the new norm (though temp isn’t static). Just do the math and observe. Ignore all opinions, especially mine.

Yet still the temperature is warmer than England was during Roman times – without industry. Global Warming is simply a paradigm pushed by the Global Elite to destroy Western Civilization and stay on top as the world powers down a la the Georgia Guidestones.

Bill Maher goes full mea culpa: Yes we slandered John McCain and Romney as Hitler, when in fact they were honorable men (cucks). But this time we’re telling the Truth about Trump.

Yes, you are snake. Huge tactical mistake on your part to waste your best shot on your own golems, one we intend to capitalize on to the fullest. You cried wolf? The Wolf is the hero now.

anyone who hasn’t been paying attention, the elite are heavily into pedophilia and satanism because these are ways for them to

      (1) prove they are sociopathic enough to be trusted with great crimes,

      (2) prove that they can trust each other, despite being sociopaths.

3]They all have the dirt on each other.

      (4) Satanic ritual abuse is used to create controllable split personalities, like in the Manchurian Candidate.

    Cold,

I’ve found a lot of the commentary on this blog illuminating, yours included. You can learn what others are thinking, you get to see events and circumstances through their eyes and sometimes I’ve changed my mind on issues if someone points out an angle I hadn’t thought of.

Sometimes I get insults for what I write. OK, people get hot under the collar and so do I. Most commenters appear bona fide and so most of the time I’ll let it pass. I’ll mount a defense if the insulting comment has some otherwise worthwhile content.

But you might have noticed that there are commenters that I refuse to engage with, some insulting, some not, like those I think are in the “troll” category, one of which was outed as a government employee. These people are a waste of time.

A commenter recently disagreed with some stuff I said and unleashed a spiel of abuse. You know, the one that deems himself/herself “modestly” literate. There was some brief irritation but, to me, the question is whether there’s anything there worth bothering with.

I get to judge for myself who I think is a troll. From now on this guy will not get the time of day from me. IMO, given the tone and content, not worth the bother of reading nor responding to. Of course, everyone’s got their own take on other commenters and get to do as they want. But, for my part, no more.

    • stelmosfire November 6, 2016 at 5:59 pm #

I may not be a troll , but I do know what I see outside my backdoor. Last winter 2015-2016 record warmth in these parts. , 2014-2015 the warmest and the coldest months on record in my area. . Sumthins’ brewin’ and it ain’t cool. I’ve been plowing snow for close to 35 years, in the Rockies and in NE. Weather is one thing but climate is a different animal entirely.

    Comey + “d” = Comedy!

He didn’t like her handling of classified; then he liked it; then he didn’t like it; now he likes it again with less than 48 hours to the (s)election.

This is what happens on a binge of stale kandy korn.

Irrespective of the F.B.I.’s idiotic handling of EmailGate and the Clinton Family Foundation investigations, I think the shit is going to hit the fan Tuesday evening whichever/whoever’s orifice the fickle finger of fate gets stuck in.

The Far Right is batting a thousand. We told you these people were demons – now we have the undeniable proof. And remember, this is only what they’re willing to do on camera. Avant garde art often seemed deeply wrong to me, but now the connection to the demonic is made manifest. Buck’s attraction to both Clinton and weird anti-life Stalinist architecture is now clear.

    • Buck Stud November 6, 2016 at 10:36 pm #

For the umpteenth time, I have never been a fan of “Stalinist architecture or weird Duchampion art: Are you losing your mind?

Indeed, in a past life I taught Hector Guimard everything he knew. So have a little respect, punk.

BTW, something just occurred to me. I saw your delightful piece of Batman and Karate writing up above so come clean Janos, You’re no white loser seeking Aryan Brotherhood membership and living out of a trailer in Idaho. Or spending your evenings at the Boise Bingo Hall pursuing fifty year old overweight divorcees working the concession stand.

      Who are you?

That was a song by ‘The WhO.’
Pete was falling out in a doorway and almost got arrested.

I read some of his autobio. Disgusting. Pounds of cocaine, little mention of the guys in his band.

      • Janos Skorenzy November 7, 2016 at 1:59 am #

Why can’t I be those things? Just because I remembered a delightfully ridiculous ending to a Batman episode?

I also remember clearly posting a series of Eastern European/Russian examples of modern architecture – utterly horrified by them. You loved them and said you saved them.
