Of course, George Floyd didn’t deserve to die with a cop’s knee on his neck and his face mashed into the pavement, but after yesterday’s first of what will be several funerals for the now revered former armed robber and convict, you’d think he was the second coming (and going) of George Washington. Uh, check that… Washington was a slave-owner and, by definition, a racist. Make that Julius Caesar — based on the way that the Rev. Al Sharpton was bellowing at funeral No.1 Thursday in Minneapolis. Say, what? Julius Caesar owned slaves too? How about Abe Lincoln then? Naw, just another white man? And a secret racist (so they say).
Racist, racist racist! America is racist! Racism is systemic! Racism flows in the hallowed blood of the American system, going back all the way to 1619! All white people are racist. Get down on your bellies and crawl like a snake and beg forgiveness for your natural-born, inalienable racism! Anyway, that’s reality according to The New York Times, America’s premier journal of racism studies.
To prove that America is hopelessly racist, the nation has been treated to, what — ? — seven, or is it now eight nights of looting and burning by young black people acting out every racist stereotype from the Ku Klux Klan official manual of racism. The rest of the news media bent over backwards to avoid deploring the mayhem in the streets, rather, to invert the very looting, burning, and rioting as proof positive that America is racist to the bone. Look what you made us do! Steal sneakers and Rolex watches! Shoot cops, including an old retired black cop (uh, my bad) and run over several more cops with cars! Destroy businesses large and small that have been shut down for three months by corona virus to make sure they won’t ever dare to resume their racist trade in things that white people like!
Has anyone detected a hustle in the past week’s dire proceedings? Well, how would you define a hustle? How about: an attempt to gain advantage by deceitful means. What! Are you saying there was something dishonest about the reaction from sea to shining sea to George Floyd’s murder in Minneapolis? I am. For example, the massive protest marches. Who exactly was disputing that the death of George Floyd was a miscarriage of justice? Nobody. Did the cops get away with it? No, they’re all getting indicted for murder or being accessories to a murder by standing around watching it and doing nothing to stop it.
No, this is a hustle, all right, perhaps the most obvious hustle in US history. It’s the Democratic Party’s last stratagem to get the monster of its own creation, Donald Trump, out of the White House. RussiaGate didn’t do it (in fact, it’s backfiring rather horribly now), ImpeachmentGate was a dud. Welcome to GeorgeFloydGate! I know it’s hard to imagine at this moment of maximum televised sanctimony, but this gambit is going to flop, too. A lot of voters have probably noticed that the wholesale looting and burning of US cities is not in the national interest. And that the people who do it don’t deserve special favors.
Of course, this is also a moment of maximum collective acute psychosis in America. The nation is pretty badly shook-up after three months of corona virus lockdown. Millions watched their careers, incomes, businesses, and futures wash down the drain. Upsetting as the killing of George Floyd was, these losses are monumental in comparison. 99 percent of the people in America are scared shitless about where all this economic damage is taking the nation — even as they watch the stock markets go up and up and up. By the way, the past week of looting, burning, and rioting was especially fruitful for Wall Street. D’ya think that might eventually tick off a few taxpayers who understand that the stock-pumping is being accomplished by the Federal Reserve brokering more national debt in their name?
Joe Biden’s campaign has announced that he will headline the next funeral in George Floyd’s hometown of Houston, the place where Mr. Floyd accomplished the home invasion and aggravated robbery of a woman in 2009 that sent him to state prison for five years. (He was turning his life around in Minneapolis where, ten days ago, he suffered a lapse of judgment while high on fentanyl and passed a counterfeit $20 bill in a corner store, leading to his arrest and unjust death.) I’m counting on Joe Biden to raise America’s awareness about systemic racism at that event — if he can remember where he is and what’s going on.
Also on Thursday this week, the Rev. Al Sharpton announced plans for a march on Washington in August, perhaps just before the Democratic convention in Milwaukee for maximum effect. You may be aware that Joe Biden has obliged himself (sort of) to put a woman-of-color on the ticket for vice-president. Though Stacey Abrams, the real governor of Georgia, seems like the inevitable choice, I have a better idea. Wouldn’t it be perfect to bring back Tawana Brawley for this historic role? She figured so decisively in establishing the Rev. Mr. Sharpton’s cred as leader in the long quest for social justice. She’s all growed-up now and ready to rock! Have you ever read any of the early, post-Civil War works of Booker T. Washington, WEB Dubois, etc.? They always talk about “The Talented Tenth”, the 10% of the black population in the US that is truly exceptional and who has a special messianic mission to lead the rest of the black population out of bondage, like Moses in the Bible. Of course, they also lament that generally the other 90% of the blacks don’t buy into this and basically always run in the opposite direction. They also lament the 9% of the black population that have criminal personalities. I could never figure out where the 9% figure came from? But it must be a Bell Distribution? But what can you do?
I think that WEB Dubois went to “Fisk” in Nashville. Nashville is renowned for its excellent Country Music, fine whiskey, and superb barbecue.

In one of his books, WEB Dubois recounts an experience in the hills of rural Tennessee trying to educate and uplift a benighted black girl who was basically being a “Ho”. She wasn’t going to have any of his moralizing, and Dubois abandoned the effort in frustration.

That is exactly what happened in South Africa, virtually every town, street and airport renamed to not give an inkling of credit to those that built it. Basically Apartheid and Segregation were intelligent attempts at solving complete social incompatibility.
Put that in one column, and all of the other things that Lincoln said or did regards to race in the other column. One of the fallacies with social justice judgement is that if you find one instance of prejudice, that defines someones entire life (if it is the kind of prejudice they are looking for). There are all kinds of biases and prejudices. Lincoln was definitely on the low end of the scale.
Except for maybe the Quakers, everybody felt that way about blacks at that time. Though many opposed slavery, they were unprepared to accept them into society on anywhere near an equal footing, and who can really blame them? Almost completely illiterate and owning nothing but the clothes on their backs, unable to even speak the language of the land properly, they were ill prepared to fit into society.
Also, in a letter to Horace Greeley, “Honest Abe” stated, ” If I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do it…” Freed the slaves, indeed.

Yes, another awesome article, but I fear reading it. As we continue with our gloves, masks, gowns at work, and covid cases are still coming in, the news rarely talks about it. The more fearful development is that if you have another opinion, or support our troops or good police officers they target your employer. The neighborhood App,” Next door” had a discussion where folks from the burbs said they would defend their families and property from looters, immediately they were called racists, and since your real name is displayed, other posters said they would go complain to their employers and have them fired. The hospital where I work, the young folks went protesting and agree with the tactic if a post has hints of racism=( different opinion, asks a question) they would try to find their employer and have them fired. The most feared and persecuted folks are those that ask questions. I have dropped the app Nextdoor, facebook, and am fear to post here, but I just had a awesome expresso with homemade Italian pizzelles so I feel brave.
I like Nextdoor because it is free and lets me know who lives right next door to me which is increasingly becoming more important as our world contracts.
Since EVERY job is threatened, not only racist jobs, then working from home and more locally (where people are inclined to be as racist as you are) becomes more important.
For those that are trapped living next door to people who hate them or they could never relate to in a million years…there’s ZOOM!
Next-door is like this place ‘localized’. Mr’s Dog discovered it. There is a lakefront neighborhood not so far away from us and the residents there are always writing about suspicious people who are in the street. Crime of crimes. Standing in the street.
She writes to inquire and she pushes push and prods to make them admit that ‘the crime’ is actually being black in a neighborhood where old residents have not figured out that some black people earned enough money to be their petit-bourgeois cracker assed neighbors. She starts with. Did they have a dog?

I have seen the same behavior you describe in two neighborhoods since I moved while using the Nextdoor app. In my old neighborhood, they post the offenders picture and claim that must be the person who stole your bike because they look (hispanic) suspicious hanging around here riding a bike. I post a reply suggesting posting pictures of people is not a good idea in case they turn out to be wrong. The next time happened soon after I moved here. Someone said to beware of the (hispanic) male walking down the street…like somehow that is a bad thing to do. They qualified it by saying the police were looking for a (hispanic) male walking down the street…which could be anybody! We have an hispanic male living in our hood. I ignored that post and hit “hide post”.

I know who lives next door to me because I’ve been speaking to them since I moved in. Not to mention that the people I bought the flat from left useful information about household stuff, plus the names of the people who lived next door and up above. I don’t think the neighbours on either side are on Nextdoor, not that I’d particularly know, so it’s just as well we’re all sociable beings anyway.
‘Nextdoor’ gives me recommendations for painters, joiners and electricians, and asks me to look out for lost cats. Very occasionally someone mentions if someone dodgy has been spotted doing something er… dodgy. If people start political discussions or start proselytising for their religious beliefs (both rare), they’re asked to do it somewhere more appropriate.
Interesting how the same app is used in different places!
Generally, I think organized religion is a hustle…as we have many examples of that in the media like Kunstler brought out.
As far as declaring ones religious affiliation or promoting their religion…why not in an open forum like Nextdoor? Where is somewhere more appropriate? People here have crosses and political signs on their front doors…what makes posting it on Next”door” any different?
I guess there’s just a local understanding and agreement about what Nextdoor is for – that would vary according to country and location – and even neighbourhood, I suppose.
I recall the guy (it only happened once, to my knowledge) was offering his services (proselytising) and someone else said they thought it was highly inappropriate on the site. Someone else was asked to drop it when making political points before the last election, wrapped up in neighbourhood concerns.
I don’t make the rules, even the informal ones – I just observe. And since I haven’t been able to access my emails for about six weeks, it may all have changed. 🙂
There was a lot of offering of help during the Covid crisis, which I think most people consider a better use of the site.

Facebook? But seriously, as I said, it’s just a case of different places using the site for different purposes. Whatever a ‘neighbourhood’ considers appropriate is appropriate.
About 5 years ago on Christmas Eve night around 10PM I was driving home from my daughter’s and saw a young black man who looked around 18 on a bike with a large backpack. A lot of neighbors were gone for the holidays and this looked suspicious so I called the police to check it out, they came questioned him and nothing happened. When I called, they told me to put a description of him on the neighborhood listserve. I was hit with a barrage of attacks accusing me of being a “racist” and to this day people in the neighborhood have mentioned this to me. Several neighbors did, however, privately contact me in support but did so privately. So only a few understood I reported him b/c he looked suspicious, not b/c he was black.
The looting will continue to be “sanctified” b/c if you condemn it then you’re a racist. This is where situational ethics get you — there is no right or wrong, only “situations”.

Exactly how we use it here in the Paris of the South. And to sell or give away surplus stuff. There are no political rants, as far as I know. There’s a current discussion / survey about loneliness during the pandemic.
And no – I don’t need an app to tell me who all my neighbours are either.
That’s what we always used it for too until I got hit with the racist label. In my neighborhood, there are no through streets so there’re few reasons why anyone to come back here who doesn’t live here. That’s why I was suspicious. I know my neighbors too and we’ve always gotten along well. But I found out how virulent political correctness can be.
The lies and the insanity are becoming more blatant. I don’t know the percentage of Americans that are so completely insane. I think this situation with the riots, with the mainstream media and several elected politicians catering to them while refusing to protect the innocent, should surely show a lot of otherwise complacent people their true colors.
But these riots are not about blacks acting up. Those engaging in much of the worst violence are white. They are antifa. This is an insurgency. At the very same time, no matter what Trump does the media smears his efforts most slanderously. We even have retired general Mattis saying that calling in the military to restore order is a danger to the constitution. Well, that is a perfect 180 degrees off from the truth. The military has been called in before in these situations, and those times the situation was not nearly as out of hand as now.
James, you not only unfairly blame blacks for all this but you also underplay the real scope of what is going on.
They have pulled out the stops on this one. How do you think revolutions happen? They are coordinated, planned and paid for.
These are the questions we need to get to the bottom of. Who delivered the bricks? Who ran the ads to pay agents provocateur?
How much guilt does the media, and I mean individuals and their owners, carry for deliberately fomenting revolution? I call that treason.
Floyd was just the excuse, the cover to unleash a revolution. Blacks being used.

I bet those black business owners who didn’t have adequate insurance on those businesses and/or whose premiums that will now become unaffordable in the wake of these events could give less of a damn about the organization black lives matter, isn’t there a white person heading black lives matter anyway? The original founder was killed. I also hear that he has become quite wealthy heading this so called social justice organization. When they did the lockdown in those blue states, some of those business owners are ex-felons, they became business owners because they could not find a job, I know several successful business in the city I live in are owned by ex-felons trying to turn their lives around. They also have employees that may have a hard time finding a legitimate job, ex felon business owners are more open to giving second chances, but hey, someone said on the TV (usually white and wealthy and connected, or a person of color who is a first generation descendant of an immigrant, getting paid seven figures) that you might get an infection of something most people will recover from so we need to destroy your local economy to keep you safe. I mean they have never gave a damn about us before, but NOW you are so concerned about our welfare, here’s a one time payment of $1200 dollars so you can sit at home and watch your children starve. Now let us inject some police brutality that is plastered all over MSM, hawked by the same privileged white folks and do nothing tokens, the same people who has never done anything in their lives but run for office or read a teleprompter. I mean I thought there must be a police brutality film festival going on that I didn’t know about. No surprises here. As is the case more often than not, JHK has pulled back the curtain. On the other end of the spectrum, I”m wondering if the COVID19 pandemic threat to the lives of millions are threatened by exaggerated fear. If it’s any indicator, the equity markets seems to thinks so. As JHK has predicted for years, the party will end eventually. Perhaps when Biden moves into the white house in January. But if the second wave will be not be as destructive to lives as the first, then skies the limit. Perhaps we will see a collapse of the dollar. I’m guessing it will happen eventually, but not until I’m too old to care.
The global reserve currency lets us buy stuff from overseas for “dollars.” This gets us free stuff, but destroys our own industrial economy. People who get the dollars benefit, while people who lose the jobs suffer. That’s the last 35 years in the USA, since the Plaza accord.
In order to have the global reserve currency, you have to spend a lot on defense to enforce your will around the planet. Except: we are now at the point where the interest we pay on Federal debt is larger than net borrowing: in other words, something else in the budget is going to need to be cut. I would have never contemplated these scenarios before 2020, but after we had been talked into putting 50 million people out of work, that’s just in this country, destroyed countless tons of food, and ruined countless independent farmers and ranchers, found out that we can’t even produce a Tylenol in this country, and now the violence that has so quickly popped up across this country against the police, (despite how you or I may feel about the police, they represent civil order) I think that this is the early signs of some new type of warfare that is being conducted in real time, in this country and others, right before our eyes. I know its out there, but think about it, massive economic dislocation, check, food supply at risk, check, medical system almost to the point of collapse, check. If I remember right, it was the Irish U2 singer Bono and his British compadres that did in SA through a public relations campaign. You seem to be making the argument that, yes, a person SHOULD automatically be treated as suspect for jogging, bird-watching, hiking, buying cigarettes, playing basketball, or driving … if they are black and not in the “right” place when they do it.
So I think you just made my point — this IS a structural thing in this country. Imagine spending your entire life having to think twice about doing any of the things that White people like you and me do every day, all the time, without a second thought. It’s an issue. But I hear you when you say you cross a dark street at night when you see a lone black man coming the other way. I too am certainly on my guard, and will maybe do the same. Even Barack Obama said the same thing about himself.
But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t see that situation as tragic, and something we should work to overcome, even if we have to do so in small steps and with some mistakes along the way. But we’re just not where we need to be, yet. A good place to start is to listen a little more empathetically.
I grew up in NYC and it was a tough time there then. As a white person I sure had to be careful where I was walking, what trains or buses I took etc. Got beat up for no “crime” other than being a white girl(didn’t even know the black girl who decided to beat me up). My HS was terrorized by black kids; stabbings, riots etc. Riding the public buses with them was a total hoot; they would take over the back of the bus and sometimes lob cherry bomb firecrackers into the front! So as a white person I definitley had to think about doing what these black kids did all the time! If blacks weren’t responsible for such a high percentage of crime then whites wouldn’t be on their guard when they see them. And sorry, but I’m positive that many blacks themselves are leery when they see groups of black teens, young men etc; they have no desire to be robbed or worse themselves!

This whole thing is just crazy. While I oppose police brutality and don’t believe any cop has the right to appoint themselves judge, jury and executioner, this has gone way beyond that. Looking at the videos of many of the “riots”, it was notable that many of those participating were quite white in appearance. They pretty much all appeared to be young. Guess the looting was equal opportunity thugdom.
I fail to see how destroying the businesses of innocent people, whatever their color or their homes or cars, pretty much plunging them into poverty, is striking a blow at “the system” or “the man”. I suppose that moral agency might be a philosophical term with a definition? So far as I know, yes they have moral agency. There may be some individuals who do not have it, in which case there will be at least some whites who do not have it, but I am not entirely sure I understand your question.

Coronavirus daily reports sow no major changes except maybe Texas and Arizona which have notched up a tad but are now again steady state. WTF?
We are now ten days into the protests, and a month into progressive reopening. No significant changes. The east coast peaked and is in decline, the west is mostly on slow increasing rates. Everywhere is trending asymptotically toward steady state values.
That is confusing to me. Everyday, in many states, the same amount of folks are being diagnosed with the virus. Day after day after day. Is this just the result of an ongoing test base increase? If so, does this just mean that pretty much everybody has gotten the crud and the rates are dependent of testing and not true incidence?
Could be that the protestors all have, or have had the crud and so no increased rate will occur?
I have heard very little about the antibody testing, but I am betting a high percentage of people have already had it. Maybe we are already nearing herd immunity?

I was surprised to read that, after all the talk about Sweden’s non-lockdown, a study found only 7.3% of the population sample (from Stockholm) had antibodies by the end of April. The Swedish authorities were equally surprised – and concerned, since it means the building of herd immunity would seem to be less certain, either because of the lower-than-expected numbers seeming to have had the virus, or because a lot of people may have had it but don’t have antibodies..

We are indeed trying to keep the infection below R1. Or rather the authorities are, on behalf of the medical services and others, and I’m doing my bit. Nowhere there did I say I wanted another lockdown. We will indeed see what happens. Maybe it will go a little above R1, but it’s less likely to if people comply with distancing and wear masks (which you object to, so you’d be more likely to help cause another lockdown if you were here, while I’m trying to avoid one).
Rising a little above R1 won’t necessarily lead to another lockdown. And maybe it will be decided that another lockdown can’t be afforded anyway whatever happens, in which case we’ll just have to sacrifice our frontline staff, still with inadequate PPE supplies, since other parts of the world are now also vying for them.

Science takes time to do properly – and carries on needing to be repeated and advanced. Not coming out with certainties that aren’t backed by enough knowledge yet should be a good thing, not something they should be criticised for. It’s certainly not a good sign that antibodies seem not to be apparent in everyone who’s had it and/or that the antibodies may not last long. We all do informal risk analyses, accurately or inaccurately. I got to the age of 65 without ever having a flu vaccination. Or social distancing, or wearing a mask – and for the majority of the time using busy public transport – and I only got flu once when I was 30. You wouldn’t get away with that with this disease, without any social distancing or masks.
And I never heard any year that 120 health staff, some of them only in their 30s and 40s, had been killed in a few months by contact with their flu patients (flu vaccinations are highly recommended for medics and nurses but not compulsory). And medics and nurses treating flu patients pretty much wore surgical masks and normal medical wear when treating flu patients, as far as I’m aware – they weren’t bedecked in layers of protective plastic as is necessary on the frontline now. Nor did medics and nurses, as some are doing now, spend months living away from their families to protect them from flu brought home from work.
The thing is more dangerous and more contagious, and there isn’t a vaccine. It’s not rocket science. Doesn’t mean people have to go around terrified but the risk has to be considered and measures taken as appropriate.
Maybe it will become tamer/less harmful – might as well hope for that as wait terrified for it to become as lethal as the ‘Spanish’ flu. While taking appropriate precautions, until there are some safe working vaccines. Which you don’t want either, of course. There’s no pleasing professional contrarians with agendas.

Janos in childhood in New Jersey there were black neighborhoods nearby and in 3rd grade I had a black boy terrorize me on the way to school, and then a group of black girls would corner me and try to get me to fight them. I used to get headaches from it. Lived in North Carolina for about 20 years which is 27% black and worked with many blacks. In junior high I went to an inner city school with just a few whites. Oh, and we were homeless for a while when I was 12. Where I live now there are very few blacks and the few we have are wonderful, but they are 7th Day Adventists and some are actually not American.

I agree to a large extent – that class is a strong determinant of life’s chances and overall prosperity and happiness (and a lot of that is associated with having parents who are responsible, sober, caring, and ambitious).
It does beg the question however, why in most middle-class schools (and almost certainly in all high-cost private schools) the whites dominate the demographic, and the majority of minority groups crowd the poorest places?

In this instance I was referring only to the current>/i> BLM-type protests in solidarity with the ones over your way. I think they’ve been peaceful, apart from some skirmishes in London, but I haven’t really been following it closely. People in most places are still being respectful of distancing and wearing masks out of respect for the frontliners.
There have obviously been protests about other things in the past (e.g. Iraq war/G7/8) and embassies tend to be picketed when specific things happen, but there are very few Uyghurs in the UK, whereas there are a fair number of black citizens (as you like to point out) and there has been considerable friction with the police in the past from time to time (although our police training has changed considerably over the decades and aims to follow a consent-based model).

There are things I might still demonstrate for, however, but I don’t know.

(3) I’ve mentioned before that it doesn’t matter what I very honestly tell you I do or don’t do you seek to criticise it, routinely. What exactly are you criticising me for in this instance? On a personal note, I only had 3 encounters with the police while in the US. Two on the east coast and on on the west coast. All of them involved me asking them for help and all of them were rudely rebuffed. If you are a woman and work in a public facility and can only use a public restroom to relieve yourself, get used to sharing public facilities with the PUBLIC. If your facility has “employees only” restroom facilities and you work with a transgender person, you can wait until they leave the restroom or ANYONE ELSE YOU FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE WITH leaves the restroom before you use it.
My advice is to urinate before you go to out anywhere for long periods and eat lunch/dinner OUT of the office and preferably at home.

We are near the end of the Republic. A revolution has begun and no decisive counter-revolutionary actions have been ordered. Why has this happened? Because we have been psychologically and linguistically disarmed.
For example: — The oath of allegiance of federal officials is to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic; but if we refuse to acknowledge the existence of enemies, if we cannot name our enemies, no defense will be possible. This is the raw essence of linguistic and psychological disarmament. Add to this a process in which America’s enemies have flooded into the government itself. And now, when mob violence has been deployed on a massive scale, the country finds itself unprepared, disoriented, and defenseless.
How did we get here?
Leftists have gradually taken control over the curriculum of our schools. This curriculum was copied from designs made in the USSR for our express use. We have supported this treason ourselves, with lucrative funding. In consequence, we have been gradually Losing control of our own institutions, decade after decade. And that is how we have come to this tragic moment in time.
The phrase that best describes this overall process is, “psychological and linguistic disarmament.” We have been intellectually disarmed and now the process has advanced from the realm of ideas to street violence. If the process is allowed to continue, Americans of all races and beliefs will be slaughtered when the foreign enemy moves his missiles, armies and fleets into action. At present, our economy is under attack on a number of fronts. Law and order is being stripped from us. First, the police will be defunded; second, the Revolution will defund the U.S. military; third, the Chinese and Russians will bomb and invade the country.
Consider the following occurrences; Around the country police officers are kneeling before “protestors,” begging forgiveness. Whites in the suburbs are also kneeling before blacks. An appeasing and obsequious spirit has taken hold of a neutered middle class. It is a portent of impending mass expropriation. It is a portent of atrocities, killings, massacres, arbitrary arrests, rampaging mobs, foreign invasion and military dictatorship.
In blue states, Marxist revolutionaries are using black anger to cover an attack on the country’s economy — to take over the streets, to burn and loot businesses, to intimidate the government and subdue the populace. As of this moment, their strategy is working. If the government does not take back the streets and stop the destruction of property, the revolutionaries will begin to dictate terms. In that event, every negotiation will go against the government until the revolutionaries are the government.
Presently, the revolutionaries demand that the prisons be emptied and police disbanded. This will assure their control of the streets indefinitely. It will allow them to use force at will, to confiscate property and commit “extra-judicial” killings. The revolutionaries will form their own government, modeled after Robespierre’s Committee of Public Safety.
There are many who will say, in answer to the above paragraphs, that I am exaggerating the present troubles. They will say that my anticommunist prejudice has led me to a distorted view of events. They will argue that these protests are “peaceful,” and not about Marxism at all, but have to do with “white privilege” and “systemic racism.” While many protestors are genuinely worried about police brutality and systemic racism, they are but pawns — and a screen for the revolutionary left to conduct its violent attacks.
Many good and generous people believe in a leftist utopia of love and peace. But their’s is an upside-down world in which all facts are seen through the ever-inverting eyeglass of ideology. Sadly, they are ignorant of the actual forces manipulating them. Their knowledge of history and politics is too limited for safe involvement in controversies they do not fully understand. Vladimír Lenin had a name for these good people. He called them “useful idiots.”
The present riots have little to do with white racism and everything to do with Chinese and Russian war preparations against the United States. The left in this country — wittingly or not — is the catspaw of foreign powers. To not realize this is to be a political child. It signifies ignorance.
The battle cry of “systemic white racism” is a theme fronted by our enemies. This theme has always been supported by Beijing and Moscow. It is supported for strategic purposes that are now coming into focus. Whatever our domestic problems may be, kneeling before a protest that is used as a screen by communists and foreign enemies, is suicide.
If we bend the knee to this, nothing will go back to normal. There is a video of vandals breaking into a business; the people inside are shouting, “We are on your side! We are on your side!” But the vandals do not stop. They proceed to smash everything in sight.
Many of our politicians and military leaders are sympathetic to the “protesters.” They are afraid to use force against rampaging looters and incendiaries. And so the looting, the burning and the violence, will continue. The revolutionaries are emboldened, primarily by a weak response — a response reminiscent of the French monarchy of 1792.
It is a dangerous task to defend weak governments. Such governments are never steadfast. They are ready to appease or even capitulate. The police are sworn to protect society with their lives, but they will not be supported (in turn) by weak politicians. They will be hung out to dry. Their every action will be second-guessed. They are, even now, collectively slandered as racists.
The Minneapolis city council is — at this very moment — deliberating on whether to disband the police. In Los Angeles, a measure to partly defund the police and divert the money to black radicals has been approved.
Consider what happened in the French Revolution: King Louis XVI, seeing an insurrection being prepared, and wishing to spare the lives of his subjects, put himself into the hands of the revolutionaries, saying, “Gentlemen, I come here to avoid a great crime; I think I cannot be safer than with you.” He abandoned his palace and gave up the protection of his Swiss guard.
The Revolutionaries, having the king in their custody, ordered the Swiss guard to lay down their weapons and surrender. “We should think ourselves dishonored,” replied the guard. “We are Swiss, and the Swiss do not part with their arms but with their lives.”
Heavy fighting began in and around the palace. The Swiss defended themselves. The revolutionaries were infuriated by the resistance. Louis XVI heard of the fighting and ordered his guard to lay down their arms at once. They attempted to obey and were slaughtered. Of the 900 Swiss guards, 600 were killed immediately. Another 200 died of wounds or were murdered later on.
Here is a summary of the whole process: — To avoid bloodshed the King gave himself up. His guard was slaughtered. The king was later beheaded by the revolutionaries (who had previously promised his safety). His wife, the queen, was beheaded. His children were imprisoned. Thousands of innocent persons were beheaded in turn. The Paris mob dominated the politics of those years, until a young artillery officer, named Napoleon Bonaparte, fired grapeshot point blank into the Paris mob and dispersed it. No more mob. Guess who the country’s next ruler was?
Do we have any bold, capable, leaders in the U.S. military? Presently, the Army leadership is terrified that racial division within the armed forces will break the Army into mutually hostile camps. It is impolitic, they say, to use the military to stop the burning and pillaging of the leftist revolutionaries.
And so, even the Army generals have bent the knee. The Chinese troops, when they arrive, will tell them to get off their knees. The Chinese will give them shovels, and order them to dig. And when the holes are sufficiently deep, shots will ring out; then body after body will fall into the holes. And the People’s Liberation Army will, with soft dirt, cover the holes into which the corpses have dropped.
To our politically correct jackasses: You ought to be ashamed — because you are a pack of unmanned, sniveling, disgusting, senseless, dead-men-walking. You have earned the fate that is in store for you. You die on your knees because of your foul, weak-minded, moral cowardice. Tomorrow they will burn the suburbs and decimate you.
