The effrontery of Ms. Pelosi, Speaker of the House, in cancelling Mr. Trump’s State of the Union address in the chamber she controls is perhaps the worst insult to institutional protocol since the spring day in 1856 when Congressman Preston Brooks (D-SC) skulked into the senate chamber and smashed Senator Charles Sumner (R-Mass) about the head within an inch of his life with a gold-headed walking stick. Brooks’s attack was launched after Sen. Sumner gave his “Bleeding Kansas” speech, arguing that the territory be let into the union as a “free” state, and denouncing “the harlot slavery,” whom he imputed was Rep. Brooks’s dearest consort.

Many of us — except perhaps students immersed in intersectional gender studies — know how that worked out: a little dust-up in the meadows and cornfields known as the Civil War. We’re about at that level of animosity today in the two federal houses of legislature, though it is very hard to imagine how Civil War Two might play out on the ground. Perhaps opposing mobs (not even armies) meet in the Walmart parking lots of Pennsylvania and go at it demolition derby style, with monster trucks bashing their enemies’ Teslas and Beemers. Throw in clown suits instead of blue and gray uniforms and we’ll really capture the spirit of the age.

Not to be outdone, days after the SOTU cancellation, the Golden Golem of Greatness cancelled a Democratic Party grandstanding junket to the Middle East, led by Ms. Pelosi. A US Air Force bus has just departed for Andrews Air Force Base, where an Air Force jet waited for the junketeers. But then, with impeccable timing, Mr. Trump cancelled the junket — denying the use of military aircraft as Commander-in-Chief — and forcing the bus back to town with its load of elected dignitaries and their luggage — making the reasonable suggestion that they fly a commercial airline instead.

The peevish media played the story as though Mr. Trump had acted like a vindictive child. In fact, he continues to play a familiar role that the adolescent Left just can’t abide: Daddy’s in da House. Nothing is more hateful to the Left these days as a large-ish white man telling them what to do. I don’t think Mr. Trump really relishes that role, especially when he has to bring the hammer down on the kids, but considering all the things he’s not good at, playing Daddy is perhaps a big exception. He is, after all, the father of at least five children, and there must have been opportunities a’plenty to straighten their asses out during those horrible teen years — especially in New York City of the 1990s, on fire with cocaine, AIDS, and nightclubbing gangstas with guns.

Interestingly, the quarrel du jour, is over boundaries — rather specifically the boundary between the USA and Mexico. The Left is against it. In fact, the Left’s mouthpiece, The New York Times ran an op-ed this week headlined: There’s Nothing Wrong With Open Borders. Well, you might ask, did they really mean it? Or was The Times just flopping the idea on the table like so much meat, to inflame the raging Beast of the Right?

Of course, the elected official cohort of the Left doesn’t believe it, but they are pretending to believe it as strenuously as possible just to oppose the wicked white Golem in the wickedly white White House, and, alas for them, they now own that stupid position. The fabled wall is a symbol, we all know that, but it is at least an apt one for a firm boundary. And it is a boundary worth fighting over, just to establish for an hysterical mob that the world is not one big intersectional mishmash of sentimental fantasy where anything goes and nothing matters.

Ms. Pelosi and her Democratic Party House majority have been sent to their room now, awaiting a fateful conference with Daddy. A majority of the public actually does believe that the boundary-in-question with Mexico ought to be recognized in the way that normal nations recognize normal national boundaries: namely, that they are barriers to entry, and that rational procedures must be followed to go from one side to the other. Ms. Pelosi’s next step will probably be something like a few weeks of anorexia, or some other sort of self-destructive adolescent rebellion. Let’s hope she doesn’t try to burn the house down in her boundless rage.

I’m having the same kind of reaction to your entry about the showdown over the shutdown and border wall that I have to watching MSNBC or CNN on the subject; I become annoyed and frustrated as I suffer from outrage fatigue. I find it a lot healthier to laugh, so I’m watching the late-night comedians. Even then, the repetition is starting to get to me. Seth Meyers closer looks at the border wall and the shutdown, for example, ended up recycling a lot of the same points that John Oliver made on the border wall nearly three years ago. Oh, well, I’m an environmentalist; I should approve of recycling.

    • lbs January 18, 2019 at 11:54 am #

Intellectual recycling is an outgrowth of intellectual inbreeding, which puts this particular form of recycling in a bad light, appropriately so in my opinion.

    • Janos Skorenzy January 18, 2019 at 12:44 pm #

Yes, the Left gets much of its news from Comedy. In fact, they see no difference between the two. Pelosi even brought Colbert into Congress to lecture them. Thus their gravity is nothing but levity. They are lightweights and all their positions just sentimentality and outrage.

      • 100th Avatar January 18, 2019 at 7:25 pm #

The left are often victims of the cult of personality. Celebrities, taste-makers, and the frail types that feed off of attention and ego massaging.

        • Janos Skorenzy January 18, 2019 at 9:02 pm #

Many of the Masters of Levity are Levites – acting as if Humor is the same as Wisdom. But I admit it is power over a dumbed down, self indulgent population who loves to “laff”.

      • gonetohell January 19, 2019 at 7:33 pm #

It’s amazing to watch as this newly exposed Trump acolyte brings all the Trump riff-raff to his blog.

    • EvelynV January 22, 2019 at 8:33 pm #

A high (70%) tax rate on any annual income over $10,000,000.00 – what could possibly make any more sense than that (except an 80% rate perhaps)?

  2. kris2244 January 18, 2019 at 10:04 am #

Sigh. It’s like witnessing a slow motion car wreck, I want to look away but I keep coming back to the scene of the incident, i.e.Clusterfuck Nation….used to love me some Jim back in my town planning days but the man has gone off the rails. However, the second paragraph had me laughing out loud because it’s hard to escape his occasional eloquence that captures ‘Merica perfectly.

    • Zoltar January 18, 2019 at 10:45 am #

Kris – No, Jim hasn’t gone off the rails. He has remained on solid ground as the left has diverted the rails over a canyon of absurdity. Some of us have simply refused to follow them out there. At this juncture they are like Wile E. Coyote – still frantically pedalling their feet in the air, before they realize they are on their way down.

      • lbs January 18, 2019 at 11:58 am #

Unfortunately, they are like wile coyote with a rope around his neck attached to the human race.

    • Walter B January 18, 2019 at 11:09 am #

Don’t laugh at the Civil War being fought out in the parking lots of Walmart’s by clowns because it is actually happening, at least here in Western New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania. A few of the stores have even installed Lot-Cops, a video surveillance system because of all of the ruckus out there on the tarmac. It is sort of funny though, I must admit.

  3. chipshot January 18, 2019 at 10:05 am #

As someone on the far left (i.e., very progressive), I take great offense at your characterization of Pelosi and her Democratic party as being on the left. They are center right at best, completely in the corner of big business.

    • JohnAZ January 18, 2019 at 10:29 am #

So I imagine your belief is that Pelosi is fronting the big chiefs in their search for cheap labor. I believe it has extended to the point that a California politician has to be an open border advocate because he/she can never win election or Re-election with California’s demographics. Remember the Solid South, it’s is now the Solid West Coast. Oregon and Washington are crazier than California.

      • Farmer Joe January 18, 2019 at 12:38 pm #

To be fair, that’s only true in the cities, John. I’m about an hour outside of Seattle, and where I live sanity generally prevails. Unfortunately, it’s the people of Seattle who are Cray Cray, and they more or less control the state.

        • SoftStarLight January 18, 2019 at 3:33 pm #

That is why the Founders put the Electoral College in place.

      • Linda January 18, 2019 at 9:25 pm #

I live in Oregon and only the Willamette Valley is truly crazy. Portland, Corvallis, Eugene. I voted for Trump, not that it made any difference as our once center right state, the state of Tom McCall and Victor Atiyeh is now totally progressive.

      • pedal pusher January 19, 2019 at 12:46 am #

I live near the OR/WA border. In my experience Oregonians who actually work for a living tend to have conservative values. The Willamette Valley grifter class who push paper and flip real estate tend to lean left so as to not alienate their cash cows: The over qualified yet under employed millennial student debt serf SJW sanctuary city renter class.
Washington seems to have a similar geographical/political split: Mostly hard core Trump stickered flag-truck driving country boy rednecks and their teenage brides everywhere other than the high tech diploma walled enclave of Seattle.

    • lbs January 18, 2019 at 12:12 pm #

The reason for arguments over who’s left and who’s right is that the dominant issues of today are up-down rather than left right.

Trumpies support Social Security and Medicare. A lot of them probably even are open to single-payer health care for all Americans.

If you instead view politics in terms of the globalist versus populist-nationalist divide, you will find that the socialist left and establishment capitalist left are on the globalist side.

While economic policy is traditionally the heart of politics, in my view, it is sitting on the bench while other issues dominate. Specifically, the globalists’ desire to erase the rule of law, erase nation-states, implement open-borders, and foster a culture of obsession over race, gender, etc.

      • chipshot January 18, 2019 at 1:20 pm #

“The reason for arguments over who’s left and who’s right is that the dominant issues of today are up-down rather than left right.”

I would say the opposite. The dominant issues of today should be up-down, but they are not b/c msm promotes left-right wedge issues. Which is why we are divided into left and right camps, instead of workers vs management or the 90% vs .1% (i.e., those who live off earned income vs those who live off unearned income).

The socialist left is on the globalist side?
        How so?

        • Nightowl January 19, 2019 at 10:09 am #

Because they are for open borders. The concept is being promoted via corporate MSM and smaller political propaganda groups like ShareBlue, Media Matters, etc., because they are in bed with Open Society Foundation and a host of others who support the financial elite in their quest for ever-easier access to and exploitation of human and natural resources.

Of course many on the left, do not look beyond the surface so are easily swayed by emotional propaganda around gender, race, etc. In reality these conceal the larger aims of the OS types, which is centralization and control.

          • SoftStarLight January 19, 2019 at 12:07 pm #

The Elite definitely are doing everything they can to consolidate their power, and I also believe they inflame social friction for their benefit. Could it be that they want a society where there is no real majority, just clashing factions?

          • Sam Vimes January 20, 2019 at 8:12 pm #

“No borders!! … no wall!! … no genders, family, religion, tradition, country, democracy, capitalist West at all!!”

Doesn’t exactly quite roll off the tongue but neatly summarises the mindless zealots on the far left who adopted the ‘by any means necessary’ approach espoused by the New Democratic Party to undo anything as long as it brings about its glorious egalitarian society where everyone is equal(ly poor).

Sad how so many democrats can’t see that their party left them years ago.

    • Janos Skorenzy January 18, 2019 at 12:47 pm #

Exactly. Whites are living on stolen land. Pelosi is White and has to go back to Europe along with the rest of the Whites. Only good ones like you can stay – as servants to the Real People or POCs.

  4. Jeremy January 18, 2019 at 10:15 am #

Chuck Schumer was happy to vote for “The Secure Fence Act of 2006”:

    “Authorizes the construction of hundreds of miles of additional fencing along our Southern border;

    Authorizes more vehicle barriers, checkpoints, and lighting to help prevent people from entering our country illegally;

Authorizes the Department of Homeland Security to increase the use of advanced technology like cameras, satellites, and unmanned aerial vehicles to reinforce our infrastructure at the border.”

The degree of hypocrisy is simply astounding.

    • Beryl of Oyl January 18, 2019 at 11:47 am #

It’s not hypocrisy. It’s just that when the threat actually came to fruition, when they lost control of the election and a political outsider got in, Chuck got his orders from his real bosses, that no way are you to allow this to happen.
Before that, the talk of a wall was only lip service.

      • Janos Skorenzy January 18, 2019 at 12:50 pm #

Well said. Talk is cheap. The real power wants open borders for the whole World, except maybe Israel cuz they’re special. But he did say it and thus it should be used as ammunition against him by Trump and the Forces of Good.

    • Sean Coleman January 18, 2019 at 12:01 pm #

Jeremy, yes, that is my understanding too. I heard Schumer burbling away with all the gravitas of a wise old man in an advertisement for toilet rolls. This was last week on our national radio here in Ireland. Trump was behaving so childishly. That is as deep as the analysis went, repeated every hour on the hour.

  5. RB January 18, 2019 at 10:18 am #

DC is the best show going and with fewer commercials than crap tv. At last it is revealed how dumb our national leadership really is and how shallow their thinking can be. What a hoot! The elites have never cared about “the little guy”. Don’t expect it. The newbies in congress will be sucked into the elite machine and become them. We all want to be in the VIP line wherever there is one. We all want to ride in the front of the damn plane. But who knew that the real national problem is toxic masculinity. Or femininity for that matter. Some grown ups better show up soon.

By definition, half the Whites are dumber than the 100 IQ which is the White average. And 100 is pretty mediocre in terms of awareness. Most of them shouldn’t be voting. Add to that the other races who are so much lower, and the magnitude of the tragedy becomes evident.

” Add to that the other races who are so much lower, and the magnitude of the tragedy becomes evident.” Yes, and when James Watson Inconveniently pointed these facts out , he was quickly declared a non-person and sent to the gulag.

“That was so wrong and proves that there isn’t really freedom of speech or thought”. The left is just getting warmed up in that department. A NY state senator ( from brooklyn no less) just introduced a bill that would force prospective gun buyers in NY to submit passwords for social media accounts as well as search engine history for 3 years so that some Orwellian bureaucrat can check your adherence to goodthink- sort of a two for one bill of rights trampling. Part of me hopes that the bill passes, so that they can get slapped down in the SCOTUS. Thank god I escaped from Coumo’s progressive paradise.

Toxic femininity is next. Ladies wearing high-heels and cleavage revealing tops. All to intimidate and control. Women making chubby teenage daughters get their act together lest they never feel the power of controlling a man without speaking a word.

We haven’t come as far as you might like to think. You might find that intimidation and control comes in different flavours when it comes to women’s shoes.

        https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-36264229

When my daughter worked in Manchester for a similar kind of firm, she was incensed when some of her male colleagues, in the lead up to a meeting, were discussing an absent young female colleague and opining that it was unprofessional of her to come to work, as she did, without make-up, which they thought was equivalent to them coming in without shaving.

Jordan Peterson, on the other hand, considers that women should go for the no make-up, no cleavages, no short skirts etc. at work. approach. So there you go – what’s a gal to do?

One thing that never changes is that men will have plenty to say about it whatever they do.

“In anthropology, liminality is the quality of ambiguity or disorientation that occurs in the middle stage of rites, when participants no longer hold their preritual status but have not yet begun the transition to the status they will hold when the rite is complete.

Apparently the concept describes a limbo similar to being in a doorway. Where you can be neither in nor out of a room.

Key being paralysis relating it to the current American experience:

A few examples from the anthropological database: People trapped in a liminal situation are increasingly unable to act rationally, because the structures upon which their rationality is based have disappeared. (Check.) Being in a liminal state spells crisis for most people. Emotions run wild, making clear thinking all but impossible. (Check.) This leads to “mimetic” (imitative) behavior by those trapped in the liminal space. (Check. 4 out of 4.)

A one legged pair of pants may be good for a snake but the problem is America is not becoming anything but sclerotic. There is no right of passage. A description of being in the limbo of a front end collision where bodies have not yet slammed into the windshield would be more apt. A slow motion car wreck is not liminality <==== The space between.

But as America is not becoming anything at all so any liminality we have is a negative liminality where we stand at the gaping door of chaos and despair.

As Jared Diamond said, dying populations tend to double down on their failed strategies. So in instead of doing something different – like building the Wall – we have everything that the Liberals and Anti Trump conservatives are doing instead.

In many ways the Never-Trump Conservatives are worse than the Marxists. At least the Marxists are honest about who they are. Many of the Never-Trump Conservatives will play like they like Trump until their in a position to thwart his agenda.

I’m thrilled that Trump is denied his SOTU event! (I wasn’t going to waste my time listening to his lies anyway).

I’m also thrilled that he cancelled that expensive road show for the congress. This is a very good time to cut some government waste.

I’d also like to see the POTUS and the entire congress have to work without pay, at least until they reopen the government.

    • JohnAZ January 18, 2019 at 10:38 am #

Trump already works without pay. I guess your anti-Trump bias overlooked that fact.

You are right about the Congressional leeches!

        JohnAZ

        “Trump already works without pay.”

I wonder if that’s a late effort to understand how some of his contractors have felt in the past 🙂 . Repaying forward, or something…

I am aware that I haven’t responded to your Brexit questions, JAZ – will do so somewhat further down where my comments will feel less like crashing the party.

        • Paulo January 18, 2019 at 10:57 am #

Without pay? righhhht. His hotel and cashie from KSA currying favour, influencing the FBI office location to favout his hotel….and on and on. Mar a Lago stays mpaid by the Govt…weekly trips.

Meanwhile, the news of the day readily points to blatant obstruction of justice.

Tired of winning yet? Loser President voted in by a dumb and dumber electrorate and electoral system. Winning! MAGA. Can’t make this losing shit up.

The funny thing is the list of what he says about “I know more than just about anyone on:
I know more than the generals
          I know more about war
          I know more about technology
          I know more about construction
and on and on… lately, I know more about Drones than anybody

Fuck, he goes on and on and trumptards eat it up.

If you work with disturbed children Trump is old news. If he can’t get a hug he’ll take a kick, plus the event or conflict doesn’t matter as long as the end result is all about him. I have worked with dozens of kids like Trump. More than simply mentally ill, they usualy end up in prison in their escalating conflicts with others. Conflicts, I might add, they are totally NOT in control of, with the end result they become victims of themselves. SAD.

          • GreenAlba January 18, 2019 at 11:46 am #

I do hope you’re not confusing me with a Trump fan, Paulo 🙂 .
Assuming you were responding to JohnAZ’s comment rather than mine, I have to agree with you. Just the effrontery of getting ordinary struggling citizens to pay for all those unnecessary golf breaks left my jaw on the floor when I first read about it.

But he’s your Prez, for better or worse. Partly owing to those who voted for him, and partly owing to many who didn’t vote for him but who have mostly previously voted primarily for themselves. If you ignore people long enough they’ll eventually remind you they’re there. And I guess they’d have been more amenable if you’d paid attention to them in the first place.

But as you suggest, people are also deluded. It’s time for us all to realise that Making Anywhere Great Again isn’t the point. Making places functional again would be a more modest aspiration and therefore of less use at a rally or on a baseball cap..

Ha, ha, Make America Functional Again, I love it! Welcome back GA, good to see you. A shame however that setting the bar even lower will not make progress any more possible though. I do believe we are now lost, we have become ungovernable. Like your Brexit issue, of which I am in no way capable of stating an opinion on, except to say that one day it’s on, then it’s out, then nobody seems to know and nothing seems to happen one way or the other. It’s looking like governments all over the planet are growing more and more incapable of doing anything to fix or improve anything and can only keep kicking the same old can down the same old road. Wake me up when it’s over, or not.

“What’s the equivalent of this over in the UK? Mrs May taking too many tea breaks?”

As you will have figured out, Q, a tea break doesn’t involve a ride in a private jet, with an entourage of security persons, hairdressers, random maintainers for you and your family, and the whole kit and caboodle required to move his His Orangeness to a whole other place to safeguard his mental health and work-life balance.

I live in Edinburgh, a city not much more than half the size of Washington DC. There are about 20-30 golf courses within the city limits, golf being a hoi polloi activity north of Hadrian’s Wall. I’m sure there must be some in Washington too.

Perhaps Mrs T gets an occasional destressing back rub from Philip then back to the fray 🙂 .

          Looking forward to it.

What is a businessman? He makes money by producing a profit on a good or service that people need. He is steeped in results, costs vs, revenue. And all entrepreneurial businessmen sometimes fail, matter of fact they all do. People who do not fail do not know how to handle adversity and enemies.

Above all, businessmen are rational, too many emotions destroy them. Read histories of the big Kahunas during the Gilded age to understand the extent of this.

Here is the rub. Businessmen make terrible politicians. Politicians will sell their soul to the devil, Aka the electorate. They operate on an emotional basis. That is why the whole group of politicians in 2016 reacted to Trump, all of them.

Trump wants to fix things, he wants the US to straighten itself out, business wise. He dwells on it and reacts to anything that affects it. He believes in a rational approach to problem solving. He does not care whose feathers he ruffles. Just watch him on the Apprentice.

He is a square pegs in the round hole of The Deep State, and they hate him for it. He is violating the number one rule of Washington, DC, that is, do not makes waves. Do nothing while you convince your consituents how important you are.

DC is broken, the electorate called in a repairman to fix it because he orchestrated a good story for a solution. Can he get past the do nothings? Time and 2020 will tell.

Thanks for the reminder about his voluntary pay refusal. Although, according to this article,

        https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2017/03/donald-trump-salary-donation

his “pay refusal” soon appeared to be just talk (AKA, another lie).

I did not begin with an “anti-Trump bias”. But watching what he’s done in office has certainly brought me there. He needs to be impeached, ASAP.

        • Beryl of Oyl January 18, 2019 at 11:51 am #

Impeachment has to be for something, not just because people don’t like him.

          • JohnAZ January 18, 2019 at 1:31 pm #

That is because the President is elected by all the people, not a select few. Removal is a repudiation of the people’s choice. That is what the Left wants, especially the progressives, a uniparty system. I hope Trump is successful at blocking this. Leftists are like children always wanting their own way and throwing tantrums when the do not. Trump will not be impeached, but maybe politically cancelled out. Like Carter. The country shows no slowing on its path to socialism.

G-Cubed is being remunerated in ways (likely many that violate the Emoluments Clause) that vastly exceed anything a measly total pay/expense package (not including travel, security, comestibles, Big Macs, chocolate shakes) amounting to ~$570,000.

We’ll be learning more about those “trespasses” in the coming weeks and months, assuredly so…

Cortez pronounced Emoluments incredibly well. No doubt she had practiced in front of the mirror.

    • K-Dog January 18, 2019 at 11:17 am #

I wasn’t going to waste my time listening to his lies anyway.

When did you get a choice? The more outrageous and untenable his situation becomes the more boldface become his lies. Trump found out a long time ago that when he lies to people they don’t know what to do.

It paralysis them and puts them in a state of false liminality. False because they don’t emerge from their torpor of rage any better off than they were before being consumed by vapors of angry inter-sectional passion.

Successful at playing the trickster it became a way of life for Trump. A whirling dervish of confused motion Trump has everyone convinced he is going somewhere. He gets by with it and he always has. It works for him.

Perhaps because he looks like a giant baby?

      • TinySolar January 18, 2019 at 11:35 am #

Yup, K-Dog, it is difficult to “choose” not to hear his lies, since he IS the POTUS.

Sounds like you have advanced training in, psychology, perhaps?

Anyway, I have to agree with all that you said about Trump. It’d be funny, except that the stakes are too high. From what I read, we’re already starting to see increased environmental damage (not needed!) that is directly caused by his moronic actions and/or in-actions.

        • Beryl of Oyl January 18, 2019 at 11:54 am #

I remember the outrage at one SOTU address, when someone shouted “You lie!” at a statement President Obama made.
Of course, the MSM was quick to label the shouter a racist.
The fact that Obama WAS indeed lying was overlooked.
          No, it wasn’t.
The MSM had an agenda to push, they knew there were lies being told in service of the agenda, and they were happy to help.

      • JohnAZ January 18, 2019 at 12:25 pm #

Your word trickster is a good choice. Trump has succeeded in a city where hucksters are the rule. He has out tricked most of them.

People do not like successful business people, they want what they have accomplished. Why should they have more than me?

Of such is socialism and Communism born.

The 2016 election made it obvious that this country was going downhill to anyone paying attention. I predicted Hillary as the option for a slow decline as she and her criminal buddies picked our pockets clean. Trump was the balls to the wall, pouring gadoline on the fire, fly off the cliff at full speed option. So far, so good on that prediction.

Also, this isn’t about Trump personally and his dumbass policies, it’s more about him and Hillary being weather vanes for the underlying, unseen forces at work on The Empire. His presence in the WH leads to Dems following suit and becoming idiotic themselves. Just as Repubs would have done with Hillary. This clown show was on a collision course with the bottom of the cliff anyway. We just get the faster, graceless, full out stupid version of the trip.

I’m a first time poster, although I have been loyal follower of your website for many years.

Your writing reminds me, in good way of course, of the sorely missed Mike Royko.

I have just finished the “What is Liminality” essay that you linked and it reminded of something that I thought I would share.

The section where he talks about the, “rites of status reversal,” when “the underling comes uppermost,” reminded me of the movie, “High Plains Drifter”. The Drifter comes to town and upends the entire social order and puts Mordecai in charge. The scene is hilarious and the dwarf starts to flaunt his new found power.

When discussing the current social tempest with my circle of companions, I bring up how putting Mordecai in charge is very similar to what is happening now. The outcasts, outlaws and the downtrodden are now in power and they are relishing exerting that power over their perceived oppressors.

Which god did we anger so that it would send this vengeful SJW revenant to extort this societal retribution we are suffering.

It was stated long ago that the worst enemy of democracy is when the people find out they own the bank. Add onto that when the people’s education level drops to the point that Elections are no longer based on rational issues but on political BS. Result: nothing happens when the electorate is not driving the agenda.

Good examples, the elections of Ilan Omar and AOC into the house.

Disagree on the education level. Most progressives are highly educated. They vote insane because they are members of an insane cult.

Progressivism has a lot in common with scientology or Jim Jones’ church.

However, it occurred to me for the first time this morning- one interesting difference. Progressivism is solely based on a set of cult dogma. There is no L. Ron Hubbard or Jim Jones of progressivism. Progressivism has no cult leader, just dogma.

What practical ramifications this has I am not completely sure, although the one that most immediately comes to mind is that progressivism is probably a more persistent cancer because it is not dependent on a guy at the top of the hierarchy.

        • JohnAZ January 18, 2019 at 12:31 pm #

I believe that there is a central focus for the Progressive movement and it is global. Both their aims are removal of the US as a world power.

the elections of Ilan Omar and AOC into the house. – JohnAZ

        ============

AOC (Ms Cortez) will probably do very well in life as a politician. She certainly has a talent for finding the limelight and standing in it. A somewhat pretty face with Chiclet-size white teeth (and despite the sometimes scary bulbous eyes suggestive of hyperthyroidism) no doubt helps.

I become miffed by the ease with which this rookie politician attains gravitas simply by getting people to pay attention to her, to give credence or plausibility to some of her worst schemes simply because a young woman espoused them…the Hispanic name probably is a plus too. The socialism bent in particular.

And, oh yeah, the tax-the-rich idea because as when Willie Sutton was asked “why do you rob banks?” he responded “because that’s where the money is.” Inherent is the notion that anyone who is rich came by their wealth illegally, so let’s claw it back. I find this notion infuriating.

Let’s do away with income based taxation and apply a single percentage rate to ALL consumption. You’d pay the same percent on a pack of gum as on a 23 million dollar yacht.

        • Jigplate January 19, 2019 at 5:08 pm #

What is happening is natural, there is nothing so petty as anger involved. We are overpopulated and trying to “break the rules” to keep civilization from following its natural path of birth and death, flowering and decay.

We are not as wise or powerful as our technology and “history” leads us to believe we are.

Great point – High Plains Drifter was a movie that haunted my adolescence, I think it was the first VHS video I ever owned (shoplifted, no less, by a liminal criminal).

In the intro to one of my earlier, sloppier books, Dogville vs Hollywood, I juxtapose it with Lars von Triers’ Dogville, a great meta-text on liminality, identity politics, and social breakdown.

This nation is losing its mind, and is losing the plot collectively to what
constitutes a functional society, nonetheless a functional political system.
For substantial parts of the country, what were relatively stable communities in the past filled with strong civic and religious organizations that supported a basis for a peaceful family life, have now been replaced with a highly individualistic, consumerist, and childless society obsessed with diversity, multiculturalism, and gender confusion. It’s no less then a nation that is being ripped into a form

If you haven’t, read JHK’s chapter in TLE on his forecast for America. It is based on mostly economics but it is a good prognostication.

Number one on my list is the removal of California from the Union as their poison is infecting the entire US. Let them drown in their own sanctimonious sanctuary BS. Put a sign up, all socialists come to California, we have wonderful real estate in our tent cities. Oh wait, that already exists.

I actually heard a Black legislator from California say that they wanted the middle class people to leave California so that more room can be made for the illegals. His statement explains a lot. It also explains the homeless buildup in the state.

Number two is the removal of the governments of New York State and City from the hands of the idiots that are there.

Removal of these two toxic regions might stem the tide toward anarchy.

The continuation of the status quo will cause the Balkanization of the US as the socialist contagion spreads.

      • schvitzatura January 18, 2019 at 11:25 am #

Tent cities would have existed, regardless.

Okies were disparaged, arriving from the Dustbowl. Tom Joad thingee. A dumping ground for new arrivals and inbound losers has to exist somewhere. It always has. A promised land.

So, here’s a tissue for your issue, mate. Go prep yourself into a frenzy, OK?

I just wonder which state will be the first to secede. Texas, Florida, or Alaska would be the 3 with the best chance to succeed based on geography. Problem with Texas and Floridass they will be blue states by 2020/24. Wyoming and Oklahoma are both bright red but their location within the US is bad. But as balkanization continues we will see at least one state go. Won’t be Cali. Be great if it was but the Dem leaders know that would be suicide.

I would not leave Hawaii off that list. They would have to sign long term leases for the bases, but there is a sizeable portion of the native population (and the mixed Asian/Polynesian) that do not care for us haoles one bit.

          • Sam Stone January 18, 2019 at 3:49 pm #

Yes Hawaii would seem a logical choice but it is bluer than blue and if they were to secede no haoles (pronounced howlies), as you rightly pointed out, would be allowed.

One of the biggest factors in any instability is hunger. So, if you see a situation where money is worthless and/or their is no food in the stores, then you’ll see blood on the streets. This is happening in Venezuala right now, for example.

I think its just a matter of time.

LOL! Just lovin’ all the DC theatrics of late! One thing the coastal lefty elite need to beware of is the fact that when the shit finally hits the fan and the money’s no good anymore and the final leftist putsch goes down in earnest, the only thing protecting their precarious positions will be the waning allegiance of the military and the police (who will both almost certainly get kicked to the curb as well), and guess who overwhelmingly makes up their numbers? Damn near 250 years in, it looks like it’s about time to water the tree of freedom with some fresh blood again. Still think the dems will bring down Trump this year under the weight of all the current onslaught of accusations, but it’ll almost certainly be a pyrrhic victory when they do. Ask not for whom the bell tolls and all that.

They don’t have a chance of bringing him down. More likely is some sort of out of control scenario among the populace, which is what the MSM wants.

They have absolutely nothing on Trump, and the reason I know this is that this entire Russian collusion fairytale is deliberately vague in description, was based on a “Dossier” Clinton paid for, and that most of the strategy was outlined in a series of e-mails at Wikileaks.

It is a massive farce, lacking even a shred of evidence that could bring Trumpi down. The fact that Trump knows everything on FISA, Obama’s spying and work with foreign intel agencies in 5 eyes, and the weaponization of the FBI and DOJ, ensure that he can drop the hammer whenever he pleases.

Country implosion is a real possibility as TDS is very, very real.

What is liminality? Phew! Best explanation of the ongoing campus Freak Show I’ve read so far. I for one enjoy the Freak Show, find it entertaining, and don’t feel the least bit threatened by it. Maybe I’m missing something or maybe Im stupid, I don’t know. Take these so called Drag Queens, Trannies, human freaks whatever you want to call them — they don’t even amount to 1% of the population — and most of these are mentally ill. They are to be pitied. What threat are they to normal people? A few years ago we had one dude here liked to dress up like a woman and sashay around town; ended up with his throat slit on an exit ramp off I84. That’ s the first and last drag queen i ever saw around here.

    • Beryl of Oyl January 18, 2019 at 11:42 am #

Brh, I didn’t read the liminality essay yet, but I’ll be sure to now due to your endorsement.
I personally was never bothered by the trannies, most but not all are completely harmless. Just like most other people with some sort of fetish, I guess.
I don’t know though, are you a guy? I mention that because in the past, we didn’t pretend that men who enjoyed cross-dressing were actually women. So we didn’t treat them as such.
They aren’t even necessarily gay. I know this, and now there is a big, unscientific push to pretend otherwise.
The threat, as I see it as a woman, is in giving people with a particular mental issue special rights. Allowing men into areas where women are expecting privacy is dangerous.
We’d be allowing the Ted Bundys of the world to follow girls right into locker rooms and dressing rooms.
I also have seen some men making some bizarre decisions, influenced by the media, when they are also showing other signs of mental health problems.
And the little kids? There is no going back, when their parents decide to allow them to undergo ‘treatment’ based on their unformed thinking.
No one can explain to me why an ‘intact’ male who enjoys dressing as a female can’t go into a men’s bathroom dressed any way he pleases.
It’s surprising to me, the number of people who don’t know that former President Obama had a tranny nanny growing up.

I’m totally in support of Pelosi blocking Trumps wall thing. But not because I support Pelosi so much. It’s about someone finally stepping up and telling Trump No! . For a few of you great thinkers out there let your mind wander for awhile and imagine Pelosi gives Trump his wall. He would likely use this childish tactic on some other hair brained scheme that pops into his head. Pelosi should have been smarter than to let herself get into this overseas trip trap. But as others have said it all makes for good TV.

    • JMR January 18, 2019 at 11:54 am #

He promised a wall and he’s trying to deliver on it. We have a president who actually attempts to deliver on his promises. What’s wrong with that? 5.7 billion in a 4.4 trillion dollar budget is basically a rounding error. Meanwhile the democrats don’t seem to give a shit about the hundreds of thousands of federal workers who aren’t receiving paychecks as they fly off to their junkets in Puerto Rico, Europe etc. If Obama had wanted a wall, Pelosi would have delivered, no questions asked. When the democrats start with “no way is Trump getting a wall” what do you expect him to do? As you pointed out, she ain’t too bright.

    • Beryl of Oyl January 18, 2019 at 12:08 pm #

I would say it is the people’s wall, not his, because of its popularity as a campaign issue.
So Pelosi is denying something the American people want.
It’s the political class which is so dead set against a barrier.
Nancy is now even against enhanced border security of any sort, something they all used to pretend they were for.

      • City_of_76 January 19, 2019 at 11:57 am #

@Beryl of Oyl: When you say the wall is “something the American people want,” we need to clarify that “the wall” was merely campaign short-hand shit talk that Trump threw out to his xenophobic nationalist base. Like his supporters, Trump can’t think too deeply, and repeating mantras like “build the wall” make his life easier.

American people want lots of things, many contradictory, few unanimously, but in this democratic society, all things must be negotiated for and few rarely get exactly what they want.

Yes, it makes sense to have border security, but no, Trump’s moronically simplistic proposal of a wall, in its ever-changing definition, isn’t going to magically, or even incrementally, make America great, or safer. “The wall” is an idiotic flash point that has no relation to actual solutions. The wall is not the point, it’s red meat for the mob.

We’ll get nowhere if we keep insisting on simplistic solutions to complex problems.

If you want security in your life, start worrying about your own responsibility for your health, the love you share with your family & friends, and living a more localized life requiring less energy.

Thank you. I had a cousin who had a daughter that whenever things didn’t go the way she wanted, or if she was afraid, or if she was tired and didn’t want to go on like at a circus or something, she would just start screaming. Loud. I’m talking ear drum piercing loud. It was kind of terrifying. The whole family would just do whatever she wanted to get her to calm down. That’s Trump. You give him this, you just gave him anything he wants. He had both houses for 2 years. He said on day one he would start building the wall. Why didn’t he? Why wait 2 years? So he could throw an us vs them temper tantrum, shut down the government and hold the country hostage until he gets what he wants. Some deal maker. Now you know who he bankrupted 6 companies. My way or the highway and you know what, people just parked their cars, blocked the road, and said “Fuck you Baby Pants.”

      • JohnAZ January 18, 2019 at 12:47 pm #

You forget it takes two to tango. Trump is on one side, Nancy et al is on the other. For the first time in thirty years, a conservative is saying no to a liberal DC. Wow.

I hope he breaks their back. Maybe they will improve the deficit picture with a reduction in the bureaucracy as the federal workers wise up and get employment elsewhere.

        • JMR January 18, 2019 at 1:38 pm #

I think you’re right John. Trump also promised to drain the swamp. He also said he would not advertise his strategy. I’m sure he waited 2 years until after the general election to do this just to see what the environment would be. He knew this was going to be a no-go for democrats and he took the opportunity to make it an issue as soon as they had a majority. What most attribute to a temper tantrum, etc. is really just him using the issue to take down a few more of his foes. Nancy’s doing a pretty good job of shooting herself in the foot on this.

The lawlessness at our southern border is undeniable. Americans deserve secure borders and the right to grant or deny citizenship. Our elected representatives have betrayed us. Shame on them for their unwillingness to fund and build the border wall that they agreed to when Reagan was president – more than 30 years ago! Shame on them for their failure to appropriate funds for the Secure Fence Act of 2006 that they voted for! They cannot be trusted. Mr Trump is perfectly justified in insisting on a physical barrier (Wall) as a condition of any deal on immigration.
Illegal immigrants, most of them good people trying to improve their lives, need resolution and a legal status – whatever and wherever that may be. Looking away from the unlawful status of a large number of people undermines our American values. We are a nation of laws after all.
Donald Trump was my last choice during the primary. I voted for him in the 2016 general election, but without enthusiasm. In 2020 he will be my FIRST choice. Despite his faults, we finally have a president with courage, with fortitude, with cunning, and believe it or not, with an unfamiliar type of honesty that cuts through the pretentious BS that pervades government.
I cheered yesterday when he canceled Pelosi’s trip. Way to go!! MAGA!

Despite the so-called polarization of Americans, I truly believe that most of us, if we met and talked person to person, would find that we have a great deal in common. So then you are arguing for population replacement. Nature finds balance ultimately no matter who or what is at the top of the food chain. You are advocating for shifting from one ecological balance to another. Meaning replacement. Did I get it right?

Population replacement. WTF. Do you really want to live with only a bunch of white people? Only deer. Everywhere you look deer. Deer as far as the eye can see. Deer. See anything else deport it. Just deer.

Since you brought me to this place I have to say. Isn’t it interesting that White people as a group have the most varied hair colors, eye colors, and even skin tones as compared to other races? Obviously all races have diversity in appearance, but certainly hair and eye color become much more uniform and non-diverse outside of the White race.

I’d like to mention that this isn’t a case of Nancy versus those awful Republicans, as a lot of people in politics still pretend to believe.
The Republican Party as we knew it was just as against the idea of Donald Trump as a leader as the Democrats were.
There is a significance to the stops on Nancy’s planned trip, at least I think so.
    Afghanistan, Brussels, Egypt.
An awful lot of 1/10 of 1% types stand to lose a lot if we quit fighting wars all over the place.
Nancy, who has declared herself co-equal or something like that, needs to make sure nobody gets any ideas like that.
Look at where she comes from.
There are maps of her hometown warning tourists where all the human excrement is, and she concerns herself with foreign policy.

Border patrol just stated that the vast majority of illegal crossers are from 7 countries. Mexico, the four Central American countries, China and India.

Hmm! Geopolitics, or just where overpopulation is currently out of control.

Also, why is African countries not on the list? Maybe because the financial supporters of the invasion favor these 7 sites. Or maybe it is a shorter distance to Europe.

And why is America and Europe the main targets? Watch out caucasians, you are the target for the world. We are the King of the Mountain and they are trying to knock us off.

Of course there are walls on the border, they allow the citizens on this side of the border some semblance of order in their lives as do the walls around all our rich leftist oligarchs’ mansions provide them order.

I would prefer a sign that said “f*ck off” and the will to make it happen but I will take some border wall and security before we slip into civil war.

Sort of unrelated, even if you happen to believe that the MMGW issue is not a massive scam, it doesn’t necessarily follow that pulling us out of the Paris Accord was a bad thing.

I believe that Haiti really did have a massive earthquake, but people donated, and our government pledged, huge amounts of money toward relief efforts.
The only relief they got was that the Earth did in fact quit shaking, and that happened all by itself.
You’d think we’d have learned something by that, but no one seems curious as to what happened to all that money.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

I looked up Pelosi a couple of days ago, probably on Wikipedia, and saw an estimate of her (and her husband’s) wealth as about 100 million dollars.

I think the NYT really do believe in open borders. The Irish Economy blog linked to an article in September 2015 by Eduardo Porter about a Migration Juggernaut which was headed towards the west driven by exploding populations in the Third World. It was pointless trying to avoid it and all we should do was prepare for it. Most of the professional Irish economists on the blog seemed to agree with him. British economist Phillipe Legrain is noted for pushing open borders.

    This is from his website:

“Our open societies are under attack from the likes of Donald Trump, Nigel Farage and Viktor Orban, who want to pull up the drawbridge, stamp on difference and try to turn the clock to an idealised past. That’s why I’ve founded Open Political Economy Network (OPEN), a campaigning international think-tank, to defend and advance open liberal societies. We believe in being open to the world, open to everyone in society and open to the future and all its possibilities for progress. We’ve already done groundbreaking work on why welcoming refugees is a humanitarian investment that yields economic dividends, how to get refugees into work quickly and how to open up Europe’s digital single market. We regularly publish insight on immigration, trade, Brexit and much else.”

People really do believe this stuff and it is a utopian fantasy.

    • Ishabaka January 18, 2019 at 2:46 pm #

I have yet to see one open borders advocate answer this question: what to do with the one billion people who would immigrate to the USA tomorrow, if they could?

Destroy the entire landscape to build new government-funded housing for the billion newcomers.

        • City_of_76 January 19, 2019 at 12:12 pm #

Have you people noticed that the failed experiment of building single-family homes connected by a vast networks of roads and supported by endless driving is not providing sufficient housing for us Americans? Don’t all recognize at this model of American suburbanized living, though some of us may be able to make it work and it seems like a good thing, has set the stage for our destruction?

People like J.H. Kunstler and over at https://www.strongtowns.org/ have made this case clearly and I would hope that Clusterfuck Nation readers understand this point.

Any discussion of how to handle the long emergency we’re in has to recognize that the shit is hitting the fan right now; it will hit the fan for the rest of our lives; and that our existing solutions like trying to maintain the insanity of driving-everywhere-Walmartism is pointless.

          • SoftStarLight January 20, 2019 at 12:03 pm #

I do recognize that our built environment is horribly arranged. But to stay on point, do you think that is going to get better or worse with the inflow of millions more immigrants and refugees? I see nothing but endless sprawl if this keeps up. The birthrate is below replacement so ending immigration altogether would bring immediate environmental benefits.

      • JohnAZ January 18, 2019 at 6:47 pm #

Here is a question. Why are the new caravan immigrants able to afford the money and effort to get here? All of a sudden.

Remember when Castro did the same thing, dumping his prisons across the Florida strait.

They are getting financial help, believe me.

        • City_of_76 January 19, 2019 at 12:27 pm #

How are most people able to afford the money and effort to live the “American dream” in Arizona? We do this through a suicidal level of resource exploitation.

We’ve made a devil’s bargain with nature: we’ll wreck the delicate balance of the ecosystem in order to satisfy our rapacious appetites for burgers, beers, the infinite internet, trucks, freeways, and air conditioning.

Nothing about living as “middle” Americans in 2019 is based on a system that isn’t destroying the earth, and extracting a steep price from our colonial subjugates.

Your efforts to insist that your right to exist is greater than the desperate trekking up from the Mexico and south is steeped in what I suspect is your base fear, that of the precariousness of your own existence.

I would imagine that living with the scorching heat and aridity of Arizona is, like earthquakes on the West Coast, a source of underlying tension, reminding us of our vulnerability and the futility of our solutions.

We’re all in this together, and we’re all going down together. We of the industrialized West all are utterly reliant on the global mechanisms of resource and human exploitation that have made our lives possible. As Kunstler and many others have shown, it won’t last because the underlying energy inputs were a one-time bonanza that are coming to a close.

The people pushing it don’t believe it. It is a means to an end.

What should they say? “Yeah, um we want to break down borders, subsume countries into a larger centralized government so that we can access human and natural resources for exploitation until exhaustion.

We are working with Google and the tech industry to create a cashless “open society.” In this society, you will be given a social credit score which is tied to your ability to access banking and travel, and which will affect your ability to be employed. You’d best do as you are told.”

In case you’re curious if Trump has the power to cancel congressional travel like this, yes he does. CODELs are arranged by the State Department and the Pentagon, so pause for a moment to realize how fucking pathetic it is that Trump White House people spent their day on the phone with State and Defense OWNIN’ THE LIBS by canceling a Pelosi CODEL. Also, if members of Congress are traveling on military aircraft, obviously the president can cancel that. Every other president since the advent of air travel has had the class not to exercise such a power, but remember that the current squatter in the White House literally thinks squatting on gold plated toilets is elegant.

According to Drew Hammill, Nancy Pelosi’s deputy chief of staff, the letter is wrong in another significant way, namely that “Egypt” wasn’t on the agenda at all. They had to stop in Brussels, where Pelosi and the rest of the delegation were scheduled to meet with NATO commanders and US military leaders, presumably to make sure they know the Congress of the United States is not about to let President Russian Asset destroy decades of peace by pulling out of the alliance. The reason for the secret trip to Afghanistan, according to Hammill, was to “express appreciation & thanks to our men & women in uniform for their service & dedication, & to obtain critical national security & intelligence briefings from those on the front lines.”

Excellent! We need to know that the old reprobate receives those critical briefings…why, she could provide victory for our country with just a few observations thus obtained! Why did they not plan a stop at Ft. Meade to cure cancer? Why not a tour of her district to solve the problems of homelessness? With such a tour, she could state with some truth that during the Afghanistan Junket, she and her entourage were “really in the shit”….

Yes yes, Green Alba. Too bad the film ended right there, with the ceremonial (and unlikely) “Welcome Gringo leaders”, before armed Federales surrounded the Yanquis and relieved them of firearms, money and any gold trinkets they might have squirreled away.

This is similar to the scenario I’ve written about for the Bush Crime Family, who have invested heavily in real estate down in lovely Paraguay (read the history = drenched in blood). Do they really imagine that when Ame Rica is in its death spiral that they can just jump into the family 767 and scoot off to Asunción, where they will be welcomed by cheering crowds and happy fellow latifundistas? Are they that out of touch with the true feelings of the Latinoamericanos about “El Coloso del Norte”?

Let’s just build a wall around the whole damn country, Alaska and Hawaii included. Make those liberals give up those great ocean views. The Gulf States will have to suffer the loss too but hey we all have to make sacrifices. A big beautiful impenetrable wall. Then in 2020 we can build the roof. A big bad beautiful roof. The Roof, it will let in no weather- no more sun, no more rain, no more snow, no more sleet, no more hail, no more fog. And who is going to pay for the roof? The Aliens. That’s right the Aliens. Germany urges Russia to destroy missile to save nuclear treaty

German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas on Friday called on Russia to destroy a controversial missile system Washington says breaches a key arms control treaty.

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/afp/article-6607125/Germany-urges-Russia-destroy-missile-save-nuclear-treaty.html

They still can not forget how the USSR destroyed its Pioneer missiles! And this is the main contradiction between Russia and the West:

The West thinks that since they once managed to put Gorbachev in the chair of the president of historical Russia, then they will succeed again and again, and in Russia they think that it is precisely because they succeeded with Gorbachev, this time, if they don’t become smarter, there will be little left of Germany.

And the Hitlers will stop coming and going at such a price.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UEif5KD_gKM

Yes, by the way, as soon as Nord Stream 2 is completed, Russia needs to present Germany with a bill for 2 trillion euros for World War II and half a trillion for Ukraine circa 2014. Only greediness will save Germany from the above described sad fate, otherwise all these military adventures are costing them nothing.

Eh, it’s a pity the deutsche marks and pfennigs were canceled, otherwise it would be a cool bill for WWII up to a pfenning!

The loony leftist killed the democratic party and President Trump only exposed it and the media shilling for it. Many ordinary citizens who don’t know how to research news or aren’t long enough in the tooth don’t get the true story. I’ve always been apolitical and a drafted Vietnam Army Grunt. I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio (A greaser vs a Collegiate) seen the 2nd so called great migration destroy a fine city rich in history and culture. Cleveland was home to many nationalities and they all enhanced the city from Slavic Village to Little Italy, the Hungarian Buckeye Ave to the Irish enclave of Collinwood, the black area Hugh and Quincy avenues to China Town of St. Clair Ave. That was a culturally rich area until 1963 when the blacks took all of the east side and know is referred to as the ghetto. It took 75 years to develop this city and was ruined in a blink by mass migration by a single culture. Were experiencing this now with Hispanics who now number 20 million illegal and legal count is 17% in the USA and areas by states like California is in the 40% range like growing in Nevada, Texas, Arizona and New Mexico. Our number one condiment didn’t go overnight from Ketchup to Salsa because of controlled immigration. Many of you who haven’t lived near it like I in Nevada and now retired in Florida see it up close lowering wages like in construction and other low skilled positions and the crime ramp up. There is no far right to speak of but a few racist kooks that number less than the black panther groups or wannabe’s but their sure as shit millions of Marxist (D) far leftist every American should be concerned with…..Sweden men tired of African migrants robbing cab drivers and business and rapping women fire bombed a black gang hideout and were labeled white racist…..Go Figure the leftist news

More WINNING! Wheee…wheee….wheee!!!! I fell like that little pig in the Geico commercial, his little pinwheel spinning gleefully.

According to data provided by Beijing on Monday, China recorded a record-breaking trade surplus with the United States in 2018. The data reveals that China achieved a trade surplus of $323.3 billion, which is the largest trade surplus in more than a decade. This marks a 17.2% increase from 2017 figures, which stood at $287.5 billion.

The data also unveiled a 3.5% drop in total exports from China to the U.S. in 2018, which stood at $40.3 billion. Amongst other things, the Trump Administration-imposed tariffs on various Chinese goods are suspected of being responsible for the drop.

Customs data revealed that exports from China rose by 11.3% in 2018, with $478.4 billion. Conversely, imports from the United States to China only saw a 0.7% increase. In a way, this seems to reflect the retaliatory efforts from Beijing over the tariffs. Citizens were encouraged to purchase more locally-manufactured products, while importers were advised to patronize non-U.S. suppliers.

Someone puts a bullet in the chamber of a .38 and spins it. You will get ten thousand dollars every time you put it to your head and pull the trigger. What do you do? You have a week between each pull. You need the money so you pull twice and get the money. Your Liberal Mind begins to play tricks with you: If you got away with it twice, why shouldn’t you get away with it again and again? All you know is that you get money for pulling a trigger. The bullet is mythical. You’ve never experienced it.

Likewise with immigration. The Germans worked out, the Irish, the Bohunks, the Poles, etc. Why shouldn’t the Latinos? They’re just one more group after all. People were against these other groups at first too. That’s actually a convincing argument for Liberals. If you talk to them about how one chamber (group) is different from the others, you will be accused of mysticism or racism. Or if you talk about probability or experience (history), they get irritated. All we know is what we experience from our senses. No bullet yet! Thus there is no bullet or group that won’t work out.

    • Janos Skorenzy January 18, 2019 at 3:29 pm #

Any talk about how your chances keep getting worse (probability theory) with each pull or that no one survives Russian Roulette when played to the end (History) is all just Western Logic, that means White, and that means racist or evil. So it can be safely dismissed.

      • SoftStarLight January 18, 2019 at 3:36 pm #

Very good analogy! It’s easy to be lulled into a sense of safety or complacency if you can’t see the problem or if the problem seems mostly imaginary. Unfortunately, many times, once the problem is recognized it is either very close to too late or it is too late.

I worked at Honeywell and everyone had to undergo diversity training. In the scientific part of the training we had to watch a film. In the film a one acre parcel of land in a solarium was divided it into 40 plots. In one they planted dandeloins, in another roses, in another weeds, in another tomatoes, then they started mixing tomatoes and weeds and St Augustine grass, in another corn and dandeloins. And so on and so forth. Some chambers one race. Others multi-racial. Then they stress tested each parcel. Denied sunlight to some. Too much sunlight for others. Ditto water. Ditto wind. Ditto insects. What they found at the end of the day is the more diverse a population, the better it can handle stress. Now diversity has cost me a number of jobs. But this is a scientific experiment that proved a hypothesis. In diversity is strength, albeit hidden and requiring a negative event to manifest. I question the premise of comparing plants to humans with their mutant personalities, personal closets resembling graveyards, and sorry ass attitudes usually correlated to age. Nevertheless it is proof. Your Russian Roulette analogy is something you probably read in a fortune cookie. Bring something more substantial next time. It really is beneath you.

      • SoftStarLight January 18, 2019 at 3:41 pm #

This post was rather calm for you. So your point is that we all need to mix it up genetically and intermarry and then we will be much stronger for it? How come that hasn’t happened in history before? Every multi-racial empire that existed is gone, yet homogenous (mostly so) China remains after thousands and thousands of years. And they are still homogenous!!!!

        • seawolf77 January 18, 2019 at 3:57 pm #

That’s not how science works. You observe something. You form a hypothesis. You devise an experiment to either prove or refute the hypothesis. Usually you are surprised by something in the test and you rinse and repeat.
As far as history validating your premise that diversity is bad it is immediately refuted by the melting pot that America is. Using Janos crude analogy, that last ingredient in the stew is bad. You have to prove that. Scientifically.

Now you have posted this video three times, what’s up with that :-)? It’s not seeing through swastika covered glasses to know that the world in general has major problems because of invasive plant and animal species. The same thing happens between human races. History is proof. So it seems that concern about that is only natural. I don’t see what the big deal is in the different people groups having their own distinct homelands.

It’s amazing you still don’t see the circuitous nature of your argument. My father was of French descent and my mother was from Nicaragua. They came here from there, or their forefathers did. That is America. That has always been America. It was and still is the New World. Now you and your ilk want to redefine America with no good reason. Don’t you see how insulting that is? You elect a buffoon because he said he’d do it for you. Not only would he do it for you, but he would make the other guy pay for it, to add insult to injury. Cruel. You cheered. Diversity creates beauty. I have proven that to you through nature. You show me something that shows how isolationism creates beauty. Ahh the fucking buffoon is talking about drugs coming over the border. I’m gonna go kill myself.

Seawolf you shouldn’t flippantly talk about suicide. You are totally correct that there has been much race mixing in the New World. I am not sure you would have many people argue with you about that. And look at the history of the New World. There sure seems to have been much brutality and bloodshed if you ask me. Your video documents the results of population replacement. Wolves replacing deer. And population replacement has happened in the New World and its happening now because your point of view on this topic is establishment.

President Trump has made it perfectly clear that he is ok with immigration at mostly current levels but based on a merit system. On that topic he does not represent me at all. I would prefer a complete moratorium on immigration for now.

It would be better if we could negotiate a breakup but that will never happen. So the US will breakup as a result of strife, turmoil and collapse. Maybe it is the karma of the first Civil War? A very unfair genocidal campaign that was not about ending slavery but imposing the industrialists’ new order in place. It worked out well for them. Today there is no escaping the financial system or corporate tyranny, at least for most. And notice how so few people now actually grow their own food or have the land and resources necessary to do so. They have us right where they want us in my opinion.

Tariff Man to institute more WINNING!!!! Wheee…whee…whee!

There’s also the chance that Tariff Man, as Trump famously calls himself, could go through with the auto tariffs, if only because he believes—against the advice of nearly all mainstream economists—that tariffs foster more home-grown employment. Some trade experts thought Trump would repeal the steel and aluminum tariffs he imposed last year, or at least exempt Canada and Mexico, once he got a renegotiated NAFTA. But he hasn’t, even though higher costs are costing automakers billions.
Trump’s auto tariff probably wouldn’t apply to imports from Mexico and Canada, as long as Congress ratifies the new trade deal the three countries inked last year to update the old NAFTA agreement. That would leave around $103 billion worth of new-car imports from the rest of the world, and about $77 billion worth of parts, according to 2017 figures. The Center for Automotive Research says a 25% tax on auto imports from all countries except Canada and Mexico would raise the average cost of a car by $2,450. There would be more production in the United States, as Trump wants, but total auto sales would fall by about 1.2 million units per year, because of higher prices. On net, that would kill 197,000 jobs. And if the tariffs did apply to imports from Canada and Mexico, the economic damage would more than double.

    • tucsonspur January 18, 2019 at 6:47 pm #

I find tariffs very taxing. They tax my mind and spirit.

I understand that the Bush tariffs did not work, and that tariffs did work for roughly the first half of our history because of the absence of taxes, like capital gains, inheritance, or corporate and income taxes. The wages a company paid didn’t have to cover payroll taxes, etc.

Anyway, to what extent can you let trade imbalances grow? What would be the result if the trade imbalance with China was $1 trillion, e.g.? It seems to me that so far our manufacturing going to China means that they make more, we buy more, and the middle and poorer classes and the country suffers. What’s the answer?

Hey I call a spade a spade and it looks like Trump’s won one. A REALLY BIG ONE. Not sure if the Chinese people will do all that buying or if the government plans to. Military spending I guess.
China has extended the olive branch back to the United States by offering a path to eliminate Washington’s burgeoning trade deficit with the country, Bloomberg reported Friday. The news comes less than a day after The Wall Street Journal reported that the Trump administration was considering lifting tariffs amid the ongoing trade war.

    China Proposes Six-Year Buying Spree
Citing sources familiar with the matter, Bloomberg reported Friday that China has offered to significantly boost its purchase of U.S. goods over a six-year period in an effort to re-balance trade between the two superpowers. By increasing its annual imports from the United States, Beijing would reduce its trade surplus to zero by 2024. That would require a spending boost of more than $1 trillion.

Last year, Beijing’s surplus with the U.S. stood at $323 billion.

    • JohnAZ January 18, 2019 at 7:46 pm #

We have been over this ground before have we not? After the Billy Bush tape was released, there was an existential crisis in the Trump campaign, Steve Bannon aside. Within 24 hours of that event the Podesta emails that were hacked by the Russians were released, unleashing a torrent known today as Pizzagate, which implied Hillary and her campaign manager were involved in pedaphilia on an industrial scale. Spirit cooking. Sick shit that fed into the narrative that Hillary was literally a satanic witch. You cannot work with a foreign government to undermine a US election. You can’t do it, and the Trump campaign did. The timing is irrefutable.

Here is the rub you fell into. How do you know for sure that the DNC and it’s witch is not guilty as hell and the Trump campaign is innocent as hell .? How do you know this, are you omnipotent and know everything. You are biased, period.

That is the problem in DC right now. No one knows anything. It is all conjecture, based on political leanings rather than facts. Until Mueller comes up with something concrete on Trump and it is illegal, your opinion means nothing except to yourself.

If Mueller had found something that Trump did that is punishable by removal, it would have been released. Until then, anything else is conjecture. I know what you hope happens. Me, I hope they nail the Democratic Demons to the judicial wall and cleanse Washington of their poison. And I still say, who can influence the results of an election in a truly free election?

By the way, the latest input is a Buzzfeed BS story that Cohen was told to lie about a Trump tower in Russia. So? If that Tower was in work prior to the election, it is perfectly legal and is a non issue. Buzzfeed even said they could not verify the story that it was hearsay from two sources. Sounds like the BS Dossier. But they published it anyway. Hannity is right, responsible journalism is dead.

Let the facts speak. If Trump is guilty, he will be removed and I will support it. Then get the Dems that broke the law and get rid of them. Clean out that rats nest.

Nice try. Pizzagate in its MSM form was a fantasy narrative spread by the media without evidence, much like Russian Collusion.

Then there were the much jucier DNC mails provided to Wikileaks by a yet unidentified individual within the DNC.

In the end, we learned that HRC was a corporatist shill who ran a pay for play charity foundation, laundered some 80 million, destroyed over 33,000 emails under court subpoena, destroyed electronic devices containing evidence of said comms, approved the sale of 20 percent of US uranium to Russia, conspired to shut out the DNCs most popular candidate (Sanders), cheated in the debates (thanks Donna!), and created a fantasy narrative together with leading MSM outlets to smear Trumpi (thanks Maggie, Devon, etc!).

We did also find out that the Podesta’s like pedophilic art and are connected to others who seem to share a similar interest. But more pertinent to the election, we also found out they were involved in illegal activities with Russia and the Ukraine, causing them to shutter their lobbying group. Say, has anyone heard from Tony lately?

For starters I was surprised it was a white kid from an affluent suburb, and not an official minority. Then my nephew said “That’s a wierd looking kid”. Turns out it was a girl, about 12 years old, with a butch haircut. She made a little speech about trangender issues, tolerance, and ‘coming out’. The governor and all the big lefty honchos who run the state were there, all smiles. My nephew remarked “These perverts are even reaching into grade schools to corrupt kids”. Of course her proud parents were standing behind her getting in some TV time with the governor and members of congress, with that shit eating smile suburbanites wear around here when they don’t know something is happening here, do you Mr. Jones?

The problem with defending a sociopath (like trump) is that one must gaslight your audience to death. When reality reasserts itself into the matter, the job becomes untenable, because, like pregnancy, the truth starts to show.

Ultimately the poor sociopath in not defendable because his or her wake is just too massive and too real.

Last year I read a bad book by a Swedish philosopher (Asa Wikforsss) who claimed that Trump was an authoritarian and was gaslighting his nation. (In Britain they would say he was ‘grooming’ them, I suppose.)

What I do not understand (one of the many things I do not understand) is juset how he is carrying out this gaslighting (which I think is a reference to an old Bette Davis film). How does Trump get his message out to deceive his millions of victims when the media are lined up against him and ‘everyone knows’ he is coarse, buffoonl, without style, orange, and with strange hair and small hands? Oh, and he is Evil too!

Please tell me (anyone) how he pulls this trick off. Maybe the gaslighting consists in us actually believing that the media are conspiring against him when in fact they are doing a professional job and have only nice things to say about the man! You see, we believe that the media hate him when the truth is they really love him. He must possesse a truly evil degree of cunning to be able to show them in such a bad light!

  46. the camels bell January 18, 2019 at 9:21 pm #

Worse still, when defending a sociopath, one may have to resort to gaslighting oneself. This solution becomes the problem. After reality disposes with the hapless sociopath, our poor defender must rid himself, if he can, of an astonishingly caustic and self destructive habit.

    Happy Epiphany Feast!

The history of the celebration of the Epiphany is a key element for understanding the nature of the abyss that opened up almost a thousand years ago between Western and Eastern Christianity, leading to the emergence of the Roman Catholic Church.

The Epiphany was celebrated on January 6 before the Council of Chalcedon, which combined Christmas, the Adoration of the Magi and the Baptism of the Lord, but after the Council of Chalcedon there was a tradition to celebrate Christmas separately on December 25, and the term Epiphany passed on to the Baptism of the Lord, because the people first “saw” the Trinity: God the Son was baptized, God the Father spoke from heaven, God the Holy Spirit descended in the form of a dove.

Indeed, in Christianity, the holidays from December 25 to January 6 have a special meaning, comparable in importance to Easter and Pentecost. Prior to the Fourth Ecumenical Council of Chalcedon, all these holidays were united into a single Christian holiday, the Epiphany (Greek ???????? — Epiphany or Theophany).

Moreover, they were originally united by this meaning: the Baptism of the Lord and the Blessing of Waters were accompanied by the appearance of Christ to the people, and on Christmas the Word, embodied in a baby, appeared to St. Joseph’s eyes, shepherds, donkeys and calves in a cave. Of course, Mary saw him before with his inner vision, but the sages of the East or the wise men (wizards) saw him later, and he appeared to them already in the house. It is noteworthy that in the West the Adoration of the Magi is celebrated as a separate holiday even now.

But when the Council of Chalcedon decided to celebrate Christmas as a separate holiday on December 25, between the holidays of the Epiphany there were two other holidays – Circumcision of the Lord and the New Year. The circumcision of the Lord is also a Christian holiday of great significance, since the circumcision that takes place on Judaism on the 8th day after the birth of the child is a symbol of the covenant between God and his people, and at the time of circumcision of the baby Christ the Old Testament was fulfilled.

That is why this holiday on the one hand symbolizes the unity of the Old and New Testaments, and on the other it marks the change of eras – the chronology before Christ and our era.

And it was not by chance that this day coincided with the day of the beginning of the new year in Roman, and then of the Julian calendar.

The Roman New Year was established by Julius Caesar on January 1 on the recommendation of the Egyptian (Eastern?) Sage Sozigen, and it is associated not only and not so much with the day of the consuls coming into office and the beginning of the Roman financial year, but with the advent of a fundamentally new state – the multinational Roman Empire which in its very basis differed from the national and even to some extent Fascist state – the Roman Republic.

Unfortunately today, many do not understand the role that this new type of state, created by Julius Caesar, continues to play for Christianity, although the Russian word “Tsar” and the German word “Kaiser” derive precisely from the Latin Caesar, which arose not only in the memory of Julius Caesar, but above all in memory of the new type of state created by him, without which the mission of Christ would be, to put it mildly, difficult, if possible at all.

Later, in the Orthodox tradition, the feast of the Epiphany was closely associated with the feast of the Transfiguration, and in Catholicism turned into feasts of remembrance of John the Baptist and the feast of the Adoration of the Magi, also known as the Feast of the Three Kings.

Therefore, in Western painting you almost never see the canonical plot of the Epiphany, and one of the few exceptions is the painting by Rogier van der Weyden, the very fact of which opens your eyes to a lot of things, in particular to the “crypto-Orthodox” character of the Flemish Renaissance, unlike the Gnostic or even pagan character of the Italian, Northern or French Renaissance.

The Left also is in love of unrestricted immigration. That may have been possible when the US actually had manufacturing & thousands of factories people could work at. But all that is gone now.

So, it begs the question. Tens of millions of more people would need some kind of income to survive. Where will it come from?

This is without even approaching things like automation and AI involvement in the economy.

I think the plan the Left has in mind is permanent government dependence for a great part of the population. Without any real economic activity happening, the only income would be from the government. When people become dependent on a government for basic needs, that authority can control them. A socialist/Big Brother government could then force that dependent population towards their will. You would be told what to do and what to think (or else). You could also be told what to buy (or else).

So this leads to another question. Who controls the Left in the US?
It’s a mix of powerful multinational corporations on the macro level, and neo-Marxist thugs on the micro level or street level.

Who funded Hitler & his brownshirt thugs? Weren’t they too, forms of multinational corporations for their day? Are there parallels today in that type of analogy between what is happening on the Left?

Kewl! Marxists as the tools of Fascists. Orwellian fun with language and the erasure of meaning. There will be no reckoning until a social arrangement such as outlined in “The Handmaid’s Tale” has risen (and fallen) as the epitome of human control (of each other) by means of superstitious nonsense and who gets access to resources. (JHK’s New Foxfire Republic has some of the same earmarks with the prime directive of race, rather than sex.)

But first, we have to publicly hang a few hundred thousand lib’ruls. Once that poisonous mindset is eradicated through the judicious application of fear and violence, the righteous can reign. The future looks wonderfully ‘stable’, and the grandkids will enjoy their shining city on the hill (once the blood is hosed away). Your wish shall be granted — enjoy!

**Just a note: There are those who still purchase and enjoy JHK’s novels, but they no longer visit the blog site. Interesting. …Now get off my lawn!

      Pete Atomic

      Suggestions

Why unlimited immigration? Votes, pure and simple. The voter well for Dems is decreasing and they need new blood. You are right on the impact on the labor pool. All the elites wanting cheap labor want open borders, even the GOP side. Deep State.

      Permanent dependence on the government

The prime goal of the Deep State. All the Deep State. The deciding vote on the repeal of ACA was the number one Deep Stater, John McCain. The credo of the Deep State is that the people serve the government, and not the reverse. Our Constitution was written by a group of men that wanted to limit the power of the government to a minimum. This sticks in the draw of the Deep State, who is currently trying all kinds of ways to change the Constitution using amendments and the judicial. When they succeed the USA fails.

In 1984, Big Brother controlled the populace by a one sided flow of propaganda. Sorta like what our media has evolved into. Watch what happens to Buzzfeed. Nothing! The Elite owns the media.

A portion of the Elite is supporting the Socialization of the country. Their primary source of power and money is coming from outside the country, from ult-Liberal sources. This group has made severe inroads into the polity of the US, promising them political control of the country, ie Communism. For the money, look international.

In almost every issue facing the country, the Deep State wants to socialize the issue. They are everywhere.

When individual motivation and entrepreneurship dies in the US in favor of Communism, America dies.

I guess we have to have faith that God is leading with his Grande Plan and that Good will follow. Time will tell.

Communism was created and funded by the Capitalists to take down the Aristocracies that had stable traditional economies. Later to take down the Fascist States and the middle classes within the “Democracies”. The goal is obviously a Worldwide Totalitarian Oligarchy or rule by the Super Rich. Plutocracy in a word.

Fascism and National Socialism were reactions to this attack upon their nations. If we had had any clarity, we would have thrown our weight behind them. But we had already been conquered from within by the Capitalist and of course that included our minds as well since they already owned the media.

Ozone doubts? Ozone isn’t as smart as he thinks he is. He still thinks that Whites aren’t being persecuted in America! Fascism is its own system after all and not just a “snarl” word for everything you don’t like or for Totalitarianism. But he doens’t know because he doesn’t Want to know. He enjoys his snarl worlds too much you see.

Looks like Trump is folding at 2 PM. Ann Coulter said it best. The Wall is an existential threat to Trump. If he doesn’t build it he’s dead. It’ll be interesting.

    • Ol' Scratch January 19, 2019 at 12:05 pm #

Don’t know that he’s necessarily “folding.” Neither side has acquitted themselves well during this whole charade. Surprised this is the first time I’ve heard this argument. Classic drown the great starving beast in the bathtub, which I never thought I’d say, I’m reluctantly starting to agree with.

“I’ve already made the case that the government is an unreliable employer, and the shutdown demonstrates the number of agencies, from the Transportation Security Administration to the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau, that must be privatized, downsized, or abolished completely. But those should be thoughtful, intentional decisions, not based on political posturing that punishes and blindsides millions of average Americans as collateral damage so our wealthy overlords can pander to their fans.”

      https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/nancy-pelosi-has-a-blank-check-and-shed-rather-spite-trump-than-cash-it

As we’re going to continue to find out over the course of the next few years, the Federal Government, for better or worse, is the employer of last resort for a large cross section of the American workforce. When those jobs go away, as they will, many of those people will never find work as meaningful or remunerative ever again, and combined with their considerable existing debt overhang, that’s no small problem for everyone else. How do great economic depressions begin? With an enfeebled and utterly emasculated federal government which fails to act in its own citizens’ best interests, as ours has clearly been failing to do for the last 70 years or so at least.

      • ozone January 19, 2019 at 12:29 pm #

        Ol’ Scratch,
        Food for thought, surely!
There’s one blind spot however: That “employer of last resort” also pays the military. Notice that they have not been “furloughed” or gone un-paid. Let us consider why that might be, eh?

        • Once upon a time government work was a call to sacrifice. All the blubbering about the date of the federal worker, to me, is hilarious.

Can’t pay the mortgage? Fuck you, sell the car.

When middle class incomes are threatened THEN its a problem.

When a half million equity is threatened… When you might be late on a payment for your BMW… when your leaves might not get blown by a Guatemalan… When you might have to spend some of that above median annual income salary….

A revolt of the middle classes is nigh! They have Master’s degrees! Children in violin lessons! The humanity!!

    • Trump, folding? Ha!

Just saw that Mueller has repudiated parts of the news story about Trump ordering Cohen to lie to Congress. Is there no end to the deviousness of the Deep State? They’ll go so far as to pretend to stick up for Trump in order to damage him even worse farther down the road. I guess the Trump supporters were right, Mueller is even more evil than anyone thought. Pretending to go after the facts while plotting to take Trump down all the time. To those of us in the know, it’s a typical ploy by the people who really run the country. That’s right, it’s not the Deep State, which is just a sock puppet, it’s our old friends, the Illuminati, who secretly pull the threads that run the whole thing. They have managed to portray Trump as an uncouth, lying, narcissistic asshole, who only cares about himself and his immediate family, while recklessly destroying our relationships with other countries, excepting our old friend Russia of course. Boy, people are gonna feel pretty stupid when the real truth comes out.

The Illuminati are the Jesuits. They were thrown out of country after country. Finally in 1773 they were thrown out of the Church by papal edict. Immediately in countries all over the world, revolutions flared. Here in the USA. Then in France. They caused so much trouble they were finally re-instated in 1814, but not after Napoleon arrested and imprisoned a pope.

The Illuminati did that? I thought Trump did that all by himself. Trump claims he hates media but he has been using media to his advantage for about fifty years. Trump is media. He lives breaths and shits media because it is an essential tool to get his lying bullshit out and one he has always used.

Question: Why do trolls support Trump? Has he finally taken control of Ft. Mead and now commands the troll army?

SSL, if you’re talking to me, which isn’t clear one way or the other, the troll I was referring to is the cute little one I wanted for my desk. I used to have one when I was at school back in the dark ages. They were a thing in the 60s. Perhaps I should say the psychedelic ages.

You will not find many, if any instances in my comments where I refer to other people as trolls because they disagree with my point of view. I observe with depressing regularity, however, that if there are more than usual views on here dissenting from the hive mind, comments like ‘the trolls are out in force today, JHK’ can always be found.

I’ve never understood why people would want an echo chamber anyway – you might as well talk to yourself.

Seawolf you mentioned Venetians before. Is there a link between the Venetians and Jesuits?

          • seawolf77 January 20, 2019 at 2:38 pm #

A good question. I have never been able to find anything. It has been postulated that it was an espionage play by the Venetians. Start the Society of Jesus, infiltrate the church by appearing to be soldiers for Christianity when they are at their weakest i.e. at the beginning of the Counter-Reformation. Their fantastic success and power may have been derived from Venetian power. I think it is a good theory. They did it again with the Illuminati. In “Eyes Wide Shut” the movie is set during Christmas but is about the Venetians. Both organizations work toward the same goal, world domination.

Should a defender of a sociopath (trump, mcconnell, etc) experience what is referred to as a “moment of truth” provided by, none other than, reality, he or she may be able to extricate himself/herself from the cortical tendencies of self-deceit.

For example, Hitler’s idea of “Lebensraum,” or living space was initially very appealing to his German audience, and ultimately the invasion of Russia happily commenced.

However, when 5.5 million German soldiers lost their life on the Eastern Front, defending the idea of “Lebensraum” became absurd.

    • BackRowHeckler January 19, 2019 at 12:58 pm #

In 1939 Germany’s ally the Soviet Union was looking for Lebenstraum too when they invaded Poland, Finland, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia. When 25 million Russians lost their lives 1939-1945 the whole idea of international conmunism became absurd.

THE BEST OF LINCOLN VOLUME 14:

“I have no purpose to introduce political and social equality between the white and black races.”

“I, as well as Judge Douglas, am in favor of the race to which I belong having the superior position.”

“I have no purpose directly or indirectly to interfere with the institution of slavery in the states where it exists.”

“Our republican system was meant for a homogeneous people. As long as blacks continue to live with the whites they constitute a threat to the national life. Family life may also collapse and the increase of mixed breed bastards may some day challenge the supremacy of the white man.”

“A separation of the races is the only perfect preventive of amalgamation but as an immediate separation is impossible the next best thing is to keep them apart where they are not already together. If white and black people never get together in Kansas, they will never mix blood in Kansas. That is at least one self-evident truth. A few free colored persons may get into the free States, in any event; but their number is too insignificant to amount to much in the way of mixing blood.”

JS: Your Lincoln was against the South because they were spreading Black slavery into new states. He didn’t love Blacks, and it wasn’t even an abstract hatred of slavery (though that too) but rather a love of Whites and a fear that they would end up mixing with Blacks if Blacks kept spreading. How did you people (along with the liberals) get it so very, very wrong?

Hell, everyone gets Him wrong. In any case, now you know. Thus the question becomes: Is the servant greater than the Master? Will you continue to advocate for Blacks mixing with Whites (and that is what you did here) or will you bow down to the Wisdom of the Master?

The Master speaks – will you not only listen, but Hear?

Heritage America has no representation anymore.

424-1 in favor of condemning those who would entertain the thought that Whites have an identity.

The one nay vote was from a black Dem who thought the resolution didn’t go far enough.

    lol america is finished.

The Two Minutes Hate directed against Steve King is symptomatic of a mind disease that has gripped the Western consciousness and won’t let go. Even otherwise normal, level-headed Americans are slave to the illness. What a shame. The craven prostration and groveling is what’s so disgusting about the whole spectacle.

Why do men like Crenshaw bend the knee to a puppet master who mocks them to their faces? Why make a show of his groveling on Twatter? Just vote “cuck” to appease the weasels and move on. Don’t hit up twatter to preen grotesquely about how bad Whites are for noticing their Whiteness.

But the greatest humiliation was reserved for Steve King, who had the temerity to insinuate that Whites are a collective identity with a glorious history of achievement who don’t deserve to be displaced from their own countries by third world rabble. One of those yea votes for the resolution condemning Steve King was from….Steve King.

As symbolism of a dying, weak, self-abasing race goes, that is hard to beat. Steve King condemning Steve King for crimes against the Diversity Orthodoxy he didn’t even commit.

It’s times like these I dream of the flammenwerfer.

The Two Minutes Hate directed against Steve King is symptomatic of a mind disease that has gripped the Western consciousness – Janos

      =============

Janos, if this analogy of the Steve King flap and the Two Minutes Hate (from 1984) sprang from your own mind I say “kudos to you.” It is so perfectly apt.

If you read it somewhere else and adopted it as your own…shame on you.

I did not realize King gave a yea vote to condemning himself. Talk about submission…WOW! He must really need this House of Reps job. Maybe he’s still paying a big home mortgage.

      • Janos Skorenzy January 19, 2019 at 6:30 pm #

No, it comes from Heartiste of Chateau Heartiste. I came up with independently a few days ago though, but I called it (perhaps incorrectly in terms of the novel) five minutes of hate.

  61. Thieves break into a gas pipeline north of Mexico City. Boom.

AMLO says, “These practices will be eradicated. (By) giving people other options and alternatives so they won’t be forced to go down this path.”

Video shows hundreds of people coming and going along the road, Jerry cans in hand, apparently acting oblivious to Army humvees. In the distance, the pipeline, with a geyser of fuel spraying into the air. When it blew up 66 people were killed.

Building a pipeline was perhaps folly. Mexicans will find their way over a wall, so what did they think, a pipe would hold them back from their Hydrocarbons?

  62. We are witnessing the early stages of the Venezuelazation of Mexico and Central America.

The Gimmigrant Caravan II just physically broke through barriers and entered Mexico, 1,000 strong. Mexico is fast becoming a notion of a country.

I see a parallel of the fuel-moochers with the rock-throwing Gimmigrants. It is a culture of take-what-you-can, and it comes when your government has lost legitimacy… but the impulse also comes from divine providence. If you are allowed to steal it, then you must deserve it, because the hand of God moves behind all things. If it displeased him, then it wouldn’t be allowed. So you grab it. And the government certainly lets you do it. Under official Catholicism, governments become parochial. Society becomes… well, we know what society turns into under Catholicism. Take your pick. Or some other Orthodoxy. That is correct, a stagnant cesspool on its way to becoming a banana republic.

Here is iron-clad logic. If a Guatemalan catholic breaks into Arizona and thanks God, it is surely not a mistake; the Bible sanctions all. David too, hurled rocks at Goliath, in an obvious allegory. Those Americans, represented by Trump, are anti-Catholic, Anti-God, and etc., because when you pray, God listens. Obviously. Your sister and her aunt and her brother and his uncle all prayed, all got the meal ticket, therefore, God, and faith in God, were the reason. Walls don’t mean anything. Rules, laws, barriers, all just so much material.

Who shepherds the Gimmigrant caravan? Christians. Who receives them, pays for legal counsel, feeds and houses them? Christians. Where do they hide when ICE comes? Churches.

National polling indicates 78% of all Mexican women feel unsafe where they live, and 68% of men. Draw a giant red circle around Mexico and Central America- by logical extension of the policy of amnesty and perfunctory asylum, nearly all the people in the region are eligible to override the border.

There are 42,688,190 people in central America, 129,000,000 in Mexico. Combined, lets call the region’s population at 175 million. Lets assume a rate of 1/20 Gimmigrate to America which is the proportion of Guatemalans already in country. That means we can expect a Gimmgration pressure wave of 8.75 million people coming.

Favorable outcome of the immigration talks, and positive feedback on successful claims and entries- these will all increase the rate of attack. More gimmigrants begets more gimmigrants, ad nauseum.

No one voted for it then, no one is voting for it now, and into the breach grows the strange flower of a de facto population policy, that will defy logic and reason, because the flood will be biblical, and the religious do not believe in rational development, but fate. Their mystical mumblings will converge and Theocracy will once again rise with tent revivals across the nation.

It will take the reins from a demoralized secularism and the national mood will be replaced by ecstatic and fervent worship of bizarre legends and incongruous sentimentalism. Witches will be burnt, public floggings performed, moral courts held, endowment of spiritual citizenship- all are going to come roaring back, and the newly supercharged religious-minded will enjoy every minute of it.

    • SoftStarLight January 20, 2019 at 1:27 pm #

So theocracy is a response to the unending migrant flood? That’s an interesting theory.

The hostility to genetics springs entirely from the fear that Mr. Watson will be proved right–that it will show blacks to be less intelligent than whites. Of course the politically correct don’t really believe in the intellectual equality of the races. If they did, they would welcome genetic research as a way of establishing the equality. You do not fear investigation unless you suspect it will give the wrong answer.

Just remember, White is right. Black is whack. With that as your North Star, you can’t go far wrong. These folks have no North Star and are lost.

Maybe Lincoln was right: the Southern Plan to expand the Confederacy would have spread Blacks even further into American life. On the other hand, the invasion of the South and War of Northern Aggression was a disaster. General Lee and other Southerners were against slavery too. The South should have been given time to find its own solution. Lee was against it for both moral reasons and practical ones: it hurt White working men. He cared about the Blacks – but he cared more about Whites because they were his own people. His North Star was very bright indeed.

Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do to the low and downtrodden, the people most in need of help, the ones who are begging for a second chance for themselves and their children. Build a wall to keep them out. Rip their families apart for having the temerity to want a better life. Advertise their plight on television, not to elicit sympathy from the same people who give sympathy do dogs shivering in the cold, but to use it as a rallying cry to do more to hurt them and their chances. Do it proudly, with your head held high, knowing you do more for dogs than for THEM. We don’t want them in the arms of America, and we don’t care what happens to THEM. Harden your hearts. Insight on his deathbed and the political testament of George Bush Sr., forcing his sons and friends such as James Baker to overcome differences, to rally and defeat those who believed that the Great Bargain with Trump should be thrown into a basket, and Trump to be thrown to Hillary Clinton’s den for devouring alive.

Moreover, in the course of the campaign of obstruction of Donald Trump, which developed under the coverage of the G-20 and reached its culmination a few days ago, it became clear that the Clintonoids and a number of leaders of NATO member countries no longer consider Trump and Trump America as part of the Western world.

Most likely this is due to the invitation of the Orthodox priest to pray at the end of the republican convention in 2016, and it was not by chance that this priest was tried to be removed from office at the same meeting of the Istanbul Synod, at which they decided to provide Ukraine with the so-called autocephaly. That is why the Clintonoids decided to inflict a decisive blow in Ukraine on the eve of the G-20 summit in Buenos Aires, and Vladimir Putin parried this blow by a naval ram in the Kerch Strait, refusing to answer Jack Potroshenko’s calls and by putting on combat duty radar “Container”, which closed the last holes in the Russian Federation nuclear attack early warning system, which has remained leaky since the late 80s and, after Matthias Rust’s flight, the country’s leadership did not trust the system at all.

And if the deceased had not made the relevant orders, showing quite clearly that he foresaw not only his death, but also the struggle that unfolded a few minutes after his state funeral in the main temple of the country, then Trump would not be invited to his funeral.

And then those accusations of espionage in the Russian service and forcing his lawyer to commit perjury in front of the US Congress, with which they attacked him in the last few days, would go on the desk of Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein, and not on the desk of the Bush protege and Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker, and Russia and Putin would have to confront the united West at the end of December.

    • FincaInTheMountains January 19, 2019 at 4:50 pm #

Bush Sr. has many times publicly regretted that Hillary Clinton, having won the elections in 1992, turned to shit with her Russophobia and the expansion of NATO, his victory in the Cold War.

He said many times that if he remained in the presidency, he would not allow barbaric privatization in Russia, which in his opinion made Russia stronger and turned it into an enemy of the USA.

Talk about the height of arrogance. Entitled Princess Pelosi and her entourage were planning to go on a 9-day taxpayer paid junket, while the government was shut down due to her (and Schumer’s) intransigence. Mr. Trump did absolutely the right thing in refusing to let her take a military flight. She should not be allowed to leave DC until a budget deal is reached. Naturally, as in every case with our democrat-worshiping, republican-hating, sorry excuse for a free press, Trump is getting the blame.

Your ideas on the presentation of the SOTU are good. I stopped decades ago listening to all the lies, exaggerations and hyperbole for fear I’d throw up on my living room rug. I limited myself to a few sentences that were reported later in the evening on the news shows.

I am also waiting for the day when a President has the balls to begin his address by saying “The State of the Union is not good” and goes from there to enumerate the reasons why not.

I would like the President to end by putting in a bad word for Empire and suggest he would like to begin a process of getting rid of our 5 territories on some reasonable schedule with the shut down of many military bases around the globe to follow.

  72. The question is, WHY an IQ test would be necessary to take the temperature of rural Mexico.

    Look at the evidence.

People, running toward a geyser of gasoline.

Running past the military trying to keep them from doom.

To dance in the spray and splash some gasoline in a jug.

What further evidence does anyone need?

Mexico has slipped into Idiocracy… and in this incredible vacuum sprouts all manner of horrors.

“Where, oh WHERE did these little abandoned children come from?” wail the liberals, feeling enlightened… the conservatives don’t even notice. This enrages the liberal who then castigates the conservative. Neither have read a newspaper. They know the latino down the street, in the restaurant. Not the latino in Mexico.

When brains drain, where do they go?

American suburbs and cities, large and small. So nice, so polite, hello, hello, hola. First American behavior learned: politeness. Such wonderful people. “They must all be redeemed,” the liberal looks on, eyes wet.

“They are better than us,” The CATO institute and conservative columnist says, matter-of-factly. “They are doing the jobs Americans don’t want to do. We should open borders, and let everyone come here…” He looks out his window, over the windswept plains of Wyoming. “Plenty of room for everyone.”

He puts his hands together, “But… it must be legal, and vetted. Make it easier for the best, the richest, and the highest skilled.”

Back in Tamipulas, a man is stretched before a red-hot welding rod. He’s being tortured to see if he can give up any more information for the smuggling gang- anything, even a small personal savings, something he knows about someone- anyone with money. Before he’s killed and dumped in a barrel, he gives a name, and a place, “San Antonio…”

They are pleased because they can send a team of men to attack this target immediately via an encrypted chat application. They are in every state now, multiple criminal gangs. They keep a low profile, blending easily into the crapscape of decrepit American industry and highway rest stop. They live in tenements where police patrol, but never engage. Their barrios are fortresses, with its own martial structure. The anglo-American world ends at the edge of a latino enclave.

They never rat out the organization, they keep their mouths shut, and they do their time within the American prison system, and their children sit side by side in American schools where liberals with master’s degrees teach the children the abstractions that are necessary to pass the ACT and other tests. Very soon the children realize that the Anglo-American life of qualifying and accrediting is not for them. They flunk out, one-by-one. They have another path: labor, for cash, even skilled trades. Or, the lucrative business of drugs, sex, migrants- all that border work. So many of them know someone who has direct contact with this network.

That’s as far as I can tell in my mind’s eye. What do these Choloistas tell their little brats about how to act when they see a white policeman? I don’t know. Perhaps nothing.

They live in a spanish-speaking world. Their radios tune into provincial latino music, listen to the preacher and his sermons reminding them they are children of God, like Moses, refugees, like Jesus, having suffered and come so far. Their mission and their faith one and the same, their struggles are inflated to a biblical proportion, and the fervent bilinguals parcel out coded information like a weather report… this city is safe… they are busting people here or there, here is the number for legal aid if ICE comes… here is the address of the church; here is this group and that group. A narrative in general, about an Underground Railroad, with just desserts at the end.

In Kirk Douglas’ Ulysses, One of the suitors asks what happened to his strength when he couldn’t bend the bow. The other suitor said, You can’t lose what you never had (and then failed too).

Just so the “Dreamers” or Nightmares. The average Mexican IQ is only 85 – no better than Afro-Americans. Below the level needed for the professions or college – or even the best of the blue collar trades at the higher levels. They do seem to have an ability to work, plan, and organize beyond the Black though – to the detriment of the rest of us as their gang membership dwarfs that of any other group.

We need a Kirk or Ulysses to throw off his hood and pick up the Bow of Retribution against those who would bow down to the Brown Tide.

Note: There was once a considerable Negro population in Mexico. But no more: they assimilated into the population. Add that into the ethnic mix. The Zambo, or Black/Indian mix, is widely considered to be the absolute worst of mankind.

The new Clint Eastwood movie called “Mule” is quite good. I highly recommend it. In the movie, Clint uses the word “Negro”, which I found nostalgic and comforting along with my warm popcorn.

Clint Eastwood got his big break in the 1950’s by getting a spot on the popular TV series “Raw Hide” which enabled Clint Eastwood to segue Into “Spaghetti Westerns”, such as “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly”, “A Few Dollars More”, and “Hang Em High”.

Clint Eastwood is also renowned for his famous “Dirty Harry” series in the 1970’s in which his character “Inspector Callahan” is not afraid to shoot black people in San Francisco on the street in broad daylight with a powerful .44 magnum hand cannon.

Clint Eastwood made a big splash in the mid-1990’s in China with “The Bridges of Madison County” in which he sodomizes a drunk Merl Streep in an Iowa cornfield surrounded by a bunch of grunting hogs. In the movie, Merl Streep remembers the seduction very differently and romantically, but what can you do?

Perhaps my favorite Clint Eastwood film was “High Plains Drifter” in which Eastwood plays an avenging angel come back from the dead to reap vengeance upon a wicked gold mining town.

Clint Eastwood thinks that America has gone-all-to-Hell because American white males have generally degenerated into a bunch of immoral Pussies, which may be true to a certain extent?

If you get pulled over by the cops on a “Routine Drug Stop” you probably don’t want to start making a YouTube video of yourself Twerking to post to the Internet? White women always declare bitterly that white expat males living in Asia have “Yellow Fever”. What are the symptoms of Yellow Fever?

“Yellow Fever killed off the English troops in the thousands, but reinforcements always came and money poured in to finance bodies of French Slave-Owners, White, and Mulatto, and black troops. At times internal intrigues and British money made Toussaint’s position very weak.”

    CLR James, “The Black Jacobins”.

  77. KesaAnna January 19, 2019 at 9:35 pm #

” Your Lincoln was against the South because they were spreading Black slavery into new states. He didn’t love Blacks, and it wasn’t even an abstract hatred of slavery (though that too) but rather a love of Whites and a fear that they would end up mixing with Blacks if Blacks kept spreading. ”

I have to admit , this WOULD HAVE been a good and credible position.

I don’t believe it for a moment though.

Mr. Lincoln didn’t seem to give a damn about blond -haired , blue -eyed , 500th generation Teutonic , Celtic , or Norse little girls working 15 hour shifts in Illinois or New York sweat shops.

if he really cared about the welfare of white people , you might think he would devote his labors to the white folk in his own Illinois back yard , rather than waging war against white folk in far away South Carolina whom he at best barely knows , if at all ?? ?

“Our republican system was meant for a homogeneous people. ”

    ” System ” ? Bah !

ANY sort of system — if it is going to work worth a fuck — will most likely work best with a homogeneous people.

The funny thing though about the United States can be illustrated with the funny thing about Hitler.

The funny thing about Hitler is that if he had won the war he would have recreated , demographically , structurally , and spatially ………

    …….the Austro – Hungarian Empire.

if you actually read Mein Kampf , you should bloody well know what would be funny about that.

” rivers running with blood pill ”

The funny thing about the Nazi extermination of Jews , Gypsies , and other marginals , that NEITHER Neo – Nazis , nor their supposed opponents , never seem to point out is …….

    ….. that it was MARGINAL.

Nobody really liked the Jews or the Gypsies , and they were only about 2% of Europe’s population.

It was the equivalent of exterminating Zoophiliacs and Necrophiliacs.

Killing people is never a nice thing to do , but a genuinely dispassionate person would have to wonder if society would really notice or care if all the Zoophiliacs and Necrophiliacs were — umm — ” resettled in the East ” .

So much for marginals , and so much for genuine minorities.

In the case of greater Europe , or the United States , though , we are not talking about minorities .

To create a homogeneous people in a state the size the Third Reich would have constituted if Hitler had won the war ,

or to create a homogeneous people in a state the size of the United States would , indeed , require , ” rivers running with blood “.

    Literally rivers.

In comparison to what would be required , Treblinka and Belzec would look like amateur night.

” whites deserve their own homelands fashioned in their image and reflecting their values. ”

That would be some variation of The Holy Roman Empire — i.e. a feudal arrangement of things.

Ah , but that would mean giving up power , not acquiring it.

” Thus the question becomes: Is the servant greater than the Master? ”

    Who is the master ?

The Bible says to honor your mother and your father , and pay your fucking tithe.

It does not say ; honor your politicians , social workers , lawyers , Hitler Youth Leaders , or friendly neighborhood feminists ,

and it does not say to pay your tithe to the municipality of Thugsville.

Now even if the Bible was just some stories the Jews made up , the above assertions would still be true.

” Will you continue to advocate for Blacks mixing with Whites ”

I really doubt that would be any sort of problem at all , if folks honored the authorities they should honor , instead of chasing after this warlord , or that social engineer , to acquire a false advantage .

White privilege or Gay rights , both are a confidence scheme of divide and conquer , to deprive you of the only leverage you ever have.

When right -wingers get into power , slaughters of soldiers and purges of the police become routine.

When Leftists get into power , soon enough gays , feminists , and porn merchants are lined up against a wall and shot.

It shows you as a healthy – living 40 year old , when you are actually a 70 year old porn star.

so , yes , maybe the best way to look at the rights ethic is not how it plays out in millionaire Palm Springs , but how it plays out on skid row.

” Follow the money ” they say.

      So lets follow the money.

How does the rights ethic work out when it is you versus governments , the Mafia , or a multi – million dollar corporation with whole law firms on permanent retainer ?

in that case , the Bill of Rights isn’t worth the paper it is printed on.

The ONLY case where “rights ” have any efficacy what so ever is versus an individual person with less money or status or popularity than you.

Rights are a sop to vanity and conceit , that the aristocracy throws to the peasantry , a stick that powerless peasants use to beat other powerless peasants over the head.

And you are a real sucker to think that fucking over another powerless penniless peasant adds up to your being any less a peasant that you were in AD 1066.

When CLR James writes that “racial prejudice is superficially the most irrational of all prejudices” maybe what he means is that the reason that Racial Prejudice is a very common and profound type of prejudice (and, therefore, not given to rational discussion) is precisely because it is so superficial and irrational? The more superficial the irrationality, the more important and profound it is? Like Nationalism?

It looks like the Haitian Revolution started out as an ideological struggle driven by the values of the French Revolution (Liberty and Equality) but ended up as basically a Race War? Today, Haiti’s population is 96% African and 4% Mulatto with the original white French exterminated. Jesus….

For some strange reason, the Mulattoes (like the Obama’s and the Oprah’s) always seem to believe that it is their natural birthright to lead the benighted black underclass. I think that even WEB Dubois had this implicit sentiment?

“As for Toussaint, he is the great papa.,”. But the whites were no longer a force in San Domingo. The potential rulers were the Mulattoes, and the Mulattoes saw in this growing reputation and friendship of the black leader with Laveaux a threat to the domination they considered theirs by right.”

      the Mulattoes – Pucker

      ============

It is late but before I hit the hay I’d like to comment on Mulattoes and the general subject of skin color among the non-Whites of the world.

First, the word Mulatto itself is now considered offensive. It is like so many other words that have become offensive like ‘hermaphrodite’ which has been replaced with ‘intersex.’ And as ‘drug addict’ has been replaced by ‘one who suffers from substance abuse.’ And as ‘negro’ has devolved to ‘Black’ and thence to ‘African American’ even if the person has never set foot on American soil. The whole thing about labels and their supposed detrimental side effects is a topic that certain sociology students have written doctoral dissertations about. I know this for a fact since we used to rent out a third floor room to a student who is now Dr. So-and-so and that was her area of expertise.

So anyway, when the word Mulatto is used it conveys the idea that a Black and a White hooked up and what came of it was this new person who is roughly the color of coffee with one of those little plastic containers of half and half stirred in. This still creeps out a lot of people but by changing the label to ‘a person of mixed race’ it somehow takes off the rough edge of the word Mulatto.

My wife’s best bud (we’ll call her GD) had an American Black father and a White mother straight out of Paris France. This woman GD refers to herself as a Mulatto and finds the term not the least bit offensive…probably because she is in many ways a dynamo and holds a high administrative position at Rutgers University (not as a professor). She is supremely confident in her own skin. Interestingly she married a White man and they have 3 children who are quadroons, another term which must not be used in polite society but to GD, not a problem. The dilution of black within their skin color makes them appear for all intents and purposes as Whites back from a week at the beach. GD’s son will soon be marrying a gorgeous real blond with skin like the driven snow so one can imagine the skin color of their future children will be a total non-issue.

GD’s sister is, of course, a Mulatto too but she married a Black man and her two boys you would never suspect to be 1/4 white. They simply look Black. It would be interesting to know how the lives of these two sets of children (the 1/4 vs the 3/4 Black) differed over the years.

A week or two ago I heard about some Black children who were being indoctrinated to say “I love my skin color” and “I love my hair.” What this says, of course, is that the opposite is true. Deep down Black folks don’t like their skin color or their hair texture. GD, the Mulatto, related a tale from her childhood of having been beat up by other Black girls because she had what they called “the good hair.”

Simultaneous with this story about these Black kids being indoctrinated to love their skin and hair was a story in the news about the percentage of Blacks (mainly women but men as well) in Nigeria who used skin lightening products. The government was trying unsuccessfully to stop this common practice because it has certain very serious health side-effects. And the same is true all over the world where there are people with varying shades of brown skin. White or light colored skin is near universally preferred.

      • elysianfield January 20, 2019 at 12:15 pm #

“White or light colored skin is near universally preferred.”

        Q,
This predilection seems to be hardwired into the human psyche…Saw it as a matter of fact during my time in the ghetto.

As it was then, so it is now….

      • GreenAlba January 20, 2019 at 12:33 pm #

“And as ‘negro’ has devolved to ‘Black’ and thence to ‘African American’ even if the person has never set foot on American soil.”

That would be a category error, Q. Over here there may be a few genuine African Americans (Bonnie Greer being an example, although she has dual nationality, so she is also British), but mostly what we have is simply black people. And why a simple adjective describing a colour requires a capital letter I’ve never understood.

I did actually have to point out the above to an author of a medical text book, since the term ‘African American’, which he/she had used, makes no sense whatsoever beyond your shores, except for the odd black ex-pat.

Probably one dirty secret underlying America’s opening to China in the 1990’s under George HW Bush, Sr. was that the Americans needed high IQ Chinese students to fuel US high tech development?

I’m not sure why the Chinese, Korean, and Japanese have higher IQ’s than other Asians generally, but I suspect that it may be related to the Chinese language? They brought in the Chinese, but this time to roll out high tech rather than as chain gang wage labor to build the railroads in the West?

  86. “One of the biggest challenges we have faced since we launched has been striking a balance between good news and bad. In 2014 there was optimism in Mexico and abroad: the outlook for economic growth was good and crime rates were dropping. A year later, our content began to change. Bit by bit the news was getting worse: more crime, more violence, and little indication that sweeping structural reforms were doing much to trigger the hoped-for growth, curb corruption and create a criminal justice system that would actually punish wrongdoing.

Not much has changed since; a lot of the news is still bad, sometimes it’s just plain ugly. What has changed is our strategy: we continue to publish the bad stuff but we also look harder for the good news.”‘

It didn’t really dawn on me until today how bad things had gotten.

Main street, maybe wall street, doesn’t realize that Mexico could become a failed state, or more likely, a state under martial law. At any rate, AMLO is in serious trouble.

Maybe noticing that its citizens are trying to escape by the millions every year wasn’t enough. America has been too inward-focused. What is the deal? You think these faux refugees have some sob stories? Wait until Mexico bum rushes with a couple hundred million. Wait until Mexico gets the message loud and clear from states like California, and the sanctuary cities- come on in, come one, come all.

We’ve wrecked that country with our errant population policy, our distorted labor markets, our best intentions, and malign business-is-business mercantilism. We are like siamese twins, sharing a circulatory system.

We’re too late. I think the border lands will eventually become a military frontier, where either some of it encompasses the north side, but mostly, the south side. Mexico is cracking up people. Going to absolute middle eastern levels of shit.

The idea of Russia as Katechon is almost synonymous with the idea of “Moscow – Third Rome”, and in my opinion Devyatov is absolutely right, saying that without Kiev and Ukraine Moscow cannot be Rome from the word at all.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Katechon

The fact of the matter is that in this context Rome is a special type of European state created by Julius Caesar, and I partially touched on this topic in a previous post devoted to the Feast of Epiphany and Constantinople, taking actions in relation to Moscow that one Christian Church cannot take with respect to another, implicitly refused to consider Russia a Christian state, and though formally Moscow was the initiator of the break in church relations with Phanar (Fener), but in fact the initiative to split World Orthodoxy belongs to Constantinople, which is actually Istanbul.

” What do you think he ( Lincoln ) really cared about? ”

    Speaking of kooky religions ……

    Sorry , but that’s a stupid question.

If a single one of us here could actually read minds , then that person wouldn’t be here.

That person would be richer than Bill Gates , and would have better things to do.

( Another theory is that person would be dead. I cannot prove it , but I suspect if humans ever did acquire the ability to read minds it would be a development more certain to cause extinction than nuclear weapons. )

That , I should think , should give you some clue that there is something very wrong with the psychology dogma.

    But I’ll give you another ;

I suppose there is at least one person in your life you really tried hard to explain yourself too.

And i would bet the mortgage payment that you wound up being misunderstood anyway.

What do I think Lincoln cared about ?

You might as well buy an Ouija board , and ask him yourself.

His MEANS and METHODS , a ten year old could figure out , will never produce a homogeneous culture.

The record on that score for large map blobs is pretty obviously just plain lousy.

Russia , China , and Brazil are anything- but – homogeneous shit holes. They always have been.

They are held together by brute — and very crude — force.

The British Empire and the Mongol Empire , when they were subjected to the least bit of pressure , folded like accordions in about a week.

( by the way — Hitler predicted more than once that even if the British won the war their empire wouldn’t last a decade beyond German defeat. He didn’t have psychic powers. He wasn’t Nostradamus. It was an easy prediction to make. A halfway bright waitress could have just as well made the same prediction. )

    If you really wish to delve into matters of the mind and feelings ;

I suspect the Roman Empire fell so easily to Christianity because as early as the reign of Claudius , even an honest -to -God Roman citizen who could trace his lineage back to Romulus , no longer gave a fuck about Rome.

The Christians were not such good salesmen . It was that the Romans were that empty.

And finally as to the United States ; Again , in spirit and in mind it most closely resembles the Austro – Hungarian Empire , a polyglot where everyone hates each other , and the presumably dominate culture , class , and ethnicity hates itself even more than its enemies.

As I have said before , I have no doubt , I have never hated your country more than YOU AMERICANS YOURSELVES do.

      Well thought out.

The desire for multi-ethnic immigration is prevalent in the US now. In Rome, Marcus Aurelius, emporer, was a thinker and Liberal who tried to stop the constant warfare on the Northern and Eastern borders of the empire by absorbing those people’s. They became part of the Empire then overthrew the Empire to retain their own cultures.

The US is a modern day version, as was the USSR. Immigration without cultural assimilation is the key.

Just a matter of time for dissolution.

Want a preview? Watch Pelosi trying to control the cultural malcontents in the House.

Stupid? No, difficult. And often, absolutely necessary. The uniquely human desire, need, and quest to try and understand the other. Christ gave us a clue: By their fruits you shall know them.

Whites were utterly demographically dominant the in North and in the desirable parts of Canada. In other words, we dominated North America north of Rio Grade. Possible? Nay, we did it – and then we were betrayed by the Judeo-Masons.

As always you are of two minds. Raging against idea of trying to do it, denying that we did do it, and then raging against the results of what you just raged for – namely diversity. Excuse me, three minds here.

As usual, the Church offers no guidance whatsoever. The Spanish Catholics were wise enough to keep the Indians down even after they converted. Now that’s out of favor and Old Gods are of Horror are coming back.

Never mind that after he moved to posh digs in Moscow he never went back to Georgia but maybe for a few hours in 30 years.

there’s a giant gold statue of Ghangis Khan in Mongolia.

Presumably the claim to fame of Tamerlane ” the Great ” was that he was the worlds greatest practitioner of genocide , in the era of the horse -drawn cart and spears , no less.

Alexander ” the Great ” went off to fight in Afghanistan and India.

    uh ……….WHY ???

The father of Frederick ” the Great ” left him a full treasury , and an army he never HAD TO use.

By Frederick’s own admission , the only reason Prussia was not erased from the map under his administration was because Peter III saved his ass.

Napoleon borrowed a page from Frederick ” the Great ” , and by the end of his wars he was , like Frederick , throwing into battle troops who had a grand total of two weeks training , because he had simply run out of bodies to piss away.
But he wasn’t as lucky as Frederick.

Last I checked , you could still go to Moscow and see Lenin in the flesh in his tomb. This guy who signed death warrants for 12 year olds.

In all these examples , and the cult of Abraham Lincoln , i see a pattern that is hardly flattering.

Lincoln was a big corporate lawyer for the railroads, so it was perhaps inevitable that the “Freedmen” were lead right back to pick cotton on the Plantations for wages and to labor in prisoner chain gangs building the railroads and working in the coal mines?

The union of Trump with Bushes is confidently winning in the US, and sanctions against the Medvedev government are almost inevitable.

Trump cannot leave Russia alone even if he wants, simply because Russian intervention in the American elections did happened, but not Putin helped Trump to get elected, but Clinton’s election campaign received very substantial assistance in the form of Trump’s notorious Moscow file from those to whom Clinton’s emissaries in the 90s practically free of charge distributed state and public property of the USSR.

Pornhub views spike in DC as lawmakers keep busy during shutdown

    https://www.rt.com/usa/449083-pornhub-traffic-dc-shutdown/

“Pornhub has released stats showing a rise in logins from Washington DC, suggesting furloughed federal employees may be choosing to spend their unpaid forced vacations engaged in a little self-love.

“While Pornhub’s traffic was up for the US in general, Washington DC saw an even larger increase than the whole-country average, with 6.32 percent more visitors than the site logged in the week preceding the shutdown. Women, it seemed, were finding the shutdown especially erotic, as female traffic was up a full 12.3 percent.

“Late-night traffic saw the biggest increase, with 12 percent more visitors from the capital – consistent, Pornhub reported, with other events where users stay up late and sleep in, secure in the knowledge they don’t have to go to work. The shutdown entered its 27th day on Thursday and doesn’t show any signs of ending, leaving 800,000 government workers with idle hands.”

I was writing about the journalistic integrity (lack of it) at RT. I had zero adult content in case anyone is wondering. I closed with the line.

“Amusing, because we all know if you don’t get paid you don’t get laid.”

But you would have to have read my ‘set up’ to be properly amused. That can’t happen because I got censored. Fortunately for me only my time was not wasted by what could be a Trump virtual fence. Not steel and concrete in his cyberspace version. Just code and power snd I just clipped 200 words from the end of this because it happened again.

I needed some text to drop into the database I’m using to develop my own blog and actually came here to find something would not mind looking at over and over while I get my code working. lorem ipsum isn’t sexy. That did not happen so I’ll use my own stuff.

But while I feel that way I can’t speak for everybody so the danger of having tools which could turn on you with the flick of a digital hip is offset by the peace and security of not having to deal with sex apparently. It is a danger they don’t feel. Wrapped in a straitjacket of security feels good to them.

Ironic it actually censored a rant about ‘RT and lack of journalistic integrity.

I was aware who I was linking to, and what that might imply about the integrity of the article, but then I just shrugged and went ahead. It was too much fun not to share.

Notably, the headline references ‘lawmakers’ while the text only describes furloughed government workers going to, er, town as it were. Lawmakers, really? There aren’t enough lawmakers in D.C. to cause so much as a blip in Pornhub’s traffic. Their site is just… so… *big*.

Bad words like pussy and penis are not blocked but I had quoted material from the original pornhub site which while not offensive at all was blocked when the chunks were long enough for ‘wordguard’ to match with the original blocked site content. pornhub being on a list no doubt.

Bottom line is ‘wordguard’ did not guard on the words but on the source of the words. That is total censorship and that is why I’m writing my own software. If nothing else to make a point.

    The Japanese Rumors

I met an old Japanese friend who escaped 10 years ago from Japan from a very high-ranking father because he had lied to him for many years about the Second World War and the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

And he argues that after Fukushima, most Japanese have given up on the Northern Territories (Russian Kuril Islands) and are pressing on Abe to sign a peace treaty with Moscow more quickly, as most Japanese are convinced that the 2011 earthquake and tsunami that drowned Fukushima was the first combat application of Russian Poseidon.

    https://www.popularmechanics.com/military/weapons/a25953089/russia-apocalypse-torpedo-poseidon/

And even those who do not believe in Poseidon, still want to urgently sign a peace treaty with Moscow because they fear the wrath of gods, who are angry with Japan for “cooperation” with Hillary Clinton, who in 2011 promised Japan military support for the return of the Northern Territories a few days before the Fukushima tsunami.

And most of all, the Japanese are afraid of nuclear Korea and China – countries in which the Japanese have done a lot of foul things in the 30s and 40s, and in this situation Japan needs peace with Russia more than Russia needs peace with Japan.

But until yesterday, when Mueller refuted another slander against Trump, which everyone regarded as his surrender to William Barr, Abe relied on the next “Perestroika” in Russia and worked toward that goal (this is not rumors, but my assumptions).

U.S. Backs Japan In Looming Confrontation With Russia

The question of the Northern Territories is the problem of not only former residents of these islands, but also of the whole Japanese people. I would like to heighten attention to this problem with the Japanese public.

On February 21 the American ambassador to Russia, John Beyrle, was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry where his “attention was drawn to the recent statement made by officials with the U.S. Department of State and of the U.S. Embassy in Moscow, which expressed support for Japan’s territorial claims to Russia,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement posted on its official website.

      https://www.opednews.com/articles/2/U-S-Backs-Japan-In-Loomin-by-Rick-Rozoff-110224-935.html

And who was the Secretary of State at the time? Hillary Clinton. And when did the tsunami hit the Japan? 11 March 2011.

But of course it was just a coincidence, just another bad case of Russian Winter.

Mr Kunstler – long time reader/listener here, first time replier.

Let me just state a simple thank you, in gratitude to your continued attack on the ridiculous nature of modern politics, particularly regarding the Shell Game being perpetrated on the American public by the party once known as the Democrats.

Even though I’m Australian, I would classify myself as someone who always identified as largely traditional liberal (with some conservative leanings) who operated on the basis of keep government small and out of our lives. To see the state of traditionally ‘liberal’ parties not just in my country but around the world morph into authoritarian socialist entities determined to regulate every aspect of thought, speech and behaviour based on a new set of quasi-religious globalist progressive doctrines has been frustrating to say the least. But now the endless anti-Trump rhetoric is becoming increasingly a rather pathetic distraction from those aspects of our lives that we so desperately need to talk about – the economy, debt, the environment, endless war, censorship, you name it.

Thankfully there remain a small cabal of commentators on both sides of the political spectrum who remain largely centred around common sense and, who’da thunk it, discussing issues rather than chasing empty social media clicks and hits based on outrageous assumptions and slanderous accusations.

So thank you to you and your sensible community – you remain one of very few oases in a see of endless drivel on the interwebs.

“To see the state of traditionally ‘liberal’ parties not just in my country but around the world morph into authoritarian socialist entities determined to regulate every aspect of thought, speech and behaviour based on a new set of quasi-religious globalist progressive doctrines has been frustrating to say the least.”

      well said.

..and who do they serve? multi-national corporations who have no loyalty to any sovereign country, and pay politicians to push thru legislation to move industry from the 1st world to the 3rd.

Or are am I wrong? Where are the champions of small business and small enterprise? They don’t exist. (not on any national level from as far as I can tell).

  107. We were there that day in Hidalgo.

What we witnessed, standing in our black camo, M-4s uselessly by our sides, was an instantaneous mass poisoning, simultaneous with, and culminating in explosion.

The gasoline pipeline had been dug up and broken open, spraying the stuff high in the sky. Soon, the entire village knew through the 3G network, free gasoline. Grab your buckets, your jugs, your empty bottles. Free Gasholio!

We knew because we also monitor Wechat. So we got the crowd control uniform on. The chest protector, motorcycle gloves. We chambered live rounds but left the safety on. Its Gasoline, of course.

From the truck we watched them, saying nothing. Frantically, they ran, laughing and excited. The whole town seemed to be running, too. As far as the eye could see, people in the clearing, with the bulbous plastic shapes, converging toward the public fountain.

We exited the car and faced the crowd. Hundreds were coming. We held out our hands to the sides and they simply ran around us, not even looking at us or responding to our commands. Why would they? You don’t make eye contact with cops in Mexico, unless you are an idiot. They were a mob, and mobs are uncontrollable for a few men.

Aerosolizing under pressure, the geyser filled the air column with a dense formation of microscopic droplets. These droplets penetrated the mucus membranes, eyes, nose and mouth. The Epithelial tissue soaked it up. Was the environment level above 1000 ppm, the threshold for permanent damage? Absolutely. How do I know? Because the Flammable range of gasoline is: 1.4% to 7.4% (concentration in air). If there were a minimum of 1.4% concentration, then the concentration was above 14,000 parts gasoline to million parts air.

And those parts? Brewed out of crude from the Gulf of Mexico in Texas, and piped back into Mexico, the hydrocarbons were mixed with:

    methyl t-butyl ether (MTBE)
    t-butyl alcohol (TBA), ethanol, methanol
butylated methyl, ethyl and dimethyl phenols
    various other phenols and amines…
    disalicylidene-N-methyldipropylene-triamine
    N,N’-disalicylidene-1,2-ethanediamine
    other related amines…
    tri-o-cresylphosphate (TOCP), isopropyl alcohol…
various phosphates, amines, phenols, alcohols and carboxylic acids…
    carboxylic, phosphoric and sulfonic acids.

All this was rapidly taken in.

The data on what this does to the human mind is probably best described by the patterns of addiction among certain Athabascan tribes of northern Quebec. These addicts took to a very inexpensive method to get high. With the gasoline in a bag or other container, the explosive fumes could be inhaled for hours.

This led to a thorough degeneration of human characteristics. Users reported a high that rapidly disconnected their sense of past and present, future, and self. The hallucinations themselves were undeniably awful, and the accompanying dependence caused men and women who would not eat, drink, shit, or even sleep properly. They huffed until they vomited, until they were too weak to stand up, until their sensory organs shut down and the taste of gasoline was all they knew, drowning in its burning, obliterating ecstacy.

In Hidalgo more than a few of them had enough time to become alarmed, but they might not have noticed, lifted briefly in the initial euphoria of the heart pumping faster, kidneys and liver contracting, adrenaline flooding into their viens, mixing with the gasoline, blasting through their tiny 85 IQ cortices, throwing a mesmerizing Aztec rainbow across the sky as the droplets bent the light around them.

And suddenly, in a chain reaction, 14,000 molecules of gasoline per mole of air oxidized, releasing 45,000 Joules per gram of fuel.

This is an astoundingly large amount of energy. Properly, energy is the ability to generate work. Work can be defined (and should be) as units of human labor, if we’re being fair. Perhaps the best may to estimate the energy in the geyser of gasoline would be, by the gallon. There were a lot of gallons. The air column, like I said, was saturated with these slightly heavier-than-air droplets.

It exploded with the force of a million Formula One racecars starting up. Cotton erupted in flame, Nylon and polyester melted, plastic exploded, glass warped, hair, fingernails and skin were vaporized… amalgamated with a burst of energy on the surface of these people’s bodies, some from all possible sides, a flame so hot and fast it licked straight into their lungs and exploded the pink tissue to a bloody liquid.

We watched, and silently shook our heads as screaming filled the valley. The sun was setting, its indifferent Orange face looking on.

“These people were too stupid to live.” I said to my partner.

“Why were they created?” He replied.

I touched the cross on my chest, looking at a man with no face rolling around in the grass.

    “Only God knows.” I answered.

It was a period that lasted barely 40 years.

Look at any other period of North American history — The present , 1901 , 1801 , 1701 , THERE WAS NO SUCH THING.

Until the Catholic Church adopted this ( devastatingly corrosive and self -destructive ) ” It’s the same Jesus ! ” — crap ,

Any Catholic knew bloody damn well that the protestants were not on the same team as us. Never mind the country.

I suppose I should laugh when supposed agnostics or atheists kick the Catholic Church .

Why ? Because more often than not their criticisms could be direct plagiarisms of criticisms written in anti-Catholic tracts by the KKK in the 1920’s.

Though I wouldn’t be surprised if in the fullness of time these supposed dispassionate neutrals dropped the Mr. Nice Guy mask and again put on the white hood and mask.

Within Protestantism itself , in the period 1900 – 1930 , other Protestant groups several times tried to abolish / criminalize Lutheran private schools , to force Lutheran parents to send their children to public schools.

At the time , those public schools were not controlled by neutral pagans or some such . Those public schools were run by folks who , for reasons I won’t bother to go into , look it up yourself , were not exactly friendly to the Lutheran church.

In countless towns throughout the south they celebrated Confederate Memorial Day , but categorically refused to celebrate July 4th , until 1917.

    Slavery ?

Slavery isn’t just a convenient trope for Blacks and Leftists to beat right -wing Whites over the head.

Slavery has also served as a convenient trope by North Eastern Whites to pretend there is a common American culture ( THEIR culture . isn’t that convenient ? ) and to pretend it is a popular culture elsewhere.

In fact in many regions of North America and among their representatives that culture is actually utterly despised.

Slavery has also served as a convenient trope by the representatives of these other cultures in these other regions to pretend , ” Me too ! ”

And to gloss over the fact that they in fact hate North Eastern Whites with their pushy , obnoxious, aggressive , and basically shitty culture.

    And why the pretense ?

    For money.

Just as the Visigoths turned on the Romans the minute the Romans stopped paying them ,

I suspect that the minute the gravy train stops , we are all going to find out publicly just how popular that North Eastern culture is.

    ” we did it ”

    Yes you did.

Now remind me again why most of the people here , including the New Yorker Mr. Kunstler , are complaining , and preaching doom ?

It’s the fault of Blacks , Mexicans , Chinese, Moslems , Nazis , etc, etc , etc, ?

I don’t think so. I think a very large part of it has been the result of a peculiar white culture imposed on 75% of whites who don’t care for that culture.

    ” we did it ”

Yes , you imposed a culture everyone hates , by bribing everyone to pretend that they don’t.

And notice , I’m NOT even talking about Blacks , or Indians , Asians or Hispanics.

I’m still , and only , talking about whites.

      KA

Look at Arizona. It was controlled by the Spanish, then Mexicans, both countered by Native Americans, then by the Anglos from the East and patrolled by an army that was largely Black.

The “culture” of America is one thing only,

The rule of Law, set supremely by the Constitution.

There is nothing else that binds the myriad of ethnic groups together that are in this geographic area.

The law binds us together, not iin a good way, but by keeping us from annihilating each other. This is a violent country by its very nature, by its very history.

If the Rule of Law breaks down under political onslaught, dissolution will occur.

The Left thinks that this would be a good thing?

Wait until it happens! Just think, Chicago everywhere.

    Well, deeTrump.

Read your response and I have a question for you representing the anarchists.

Let us see what will happen if AOC and the gang win in their desire to destroy the Constitution.

    What is next?

    Uniparty government, that is Communism.

One man in charge? That is Communism.

What form of representation? Rubber stamp the dictator? That is Communism.

Throw out the first amendment, no one will be able to speak or act against the dictator. That is Communism.

Set up the Gulags in Alaska. That is Communism.

You and yours are so ignorant that you will have to amend the Constitution for her to run for President in 2024.

    She is not old enough.

God help us is any of you idiotic Progressives ever get anywhere beyond the House. It will be the stupidification of the American people will be complete.

Stupidification may not be a word.

      But it sure seems appropriate.

”we dominated North America north of Rio Grade. Possible? Nay, we did it” –janos

    “Yes you did.” –KesaAnna

Immigrants, both white and non-white, built America. German, Irish, Scandinavian, Swedish, Norwegian, Chinese, etc. built America. Chinese built the railroads.

Black slaves were forcefully emigrated from Africa to immigrate here. Blacks built the economy. After the 1989 publication of Robert Fogel’s Without Consent or Contract, historians take for granted slavery’s contribution to the prosperity of the white South and hence, statistically at least, to the country as a whole. They are now prone to ask to what extent the entire United States down to the present day owes its prosperity to 19th-century slavery.

By 1850, more than 3 million slaves worked in the American South, 60 percent of them in the cotton fields and the rest either in other crops or as craftsmen. Of every hour of useful work done in the Southern states, roughly 40 minutes was performed by a slave.

Today descendants of those same immigrants and Black slaves are business owners who have formed companies that employ whites. Immigrants, both white and non-white, built America.

It’s not because those stories tell us who we are. It’s because they don’t. They leave unexamined and untouched the class antagonisms and economic failures that are the underlying causes of socially destructive events. Personal stories feed the American illusion that the system is never the cause of anything. Those stories are always about fortitude, character, loyalty to the group.

I don’t know about you folks BUT I was in China standing on the Great Wall when it hit me that walls really can’t work. It’s the mindset that our national sovereignty should be preserved and our laws respected. Call me old school but when my family immigrated here they followed the law and wanted to become citizens. Law abiding citizens. Speaking English law abiding citizens. Those of you on this site throwing criticizing remarks and swearing at people who disagree with your particular point of view have no point in my opinion. Grow up.
