Can you see those swans coming in for a landing on Pond USA? They’re not exactly black swans, because you knew they were out there circling, but they’re dark enough against the twilight’s last gleaming to give you the heebie jeebies.
Troubles and portents of more trouble are stacking up as we approach the Ides of March zone of financial turmoil. You must surely surmise that a debt ceiling impact, a Federal Reserve interest rate hike, and the election of a Dutch anti-EU leader all scheduled for that one day are a good start on the greater unravel to follow. Glowering in the spotlight at center stage will be President Donald Trump, designated bag-holder of the Deep State and its myrmidons. And what’s in that bag he’s holding? Just a couple of shit sandwiches and a hair shirt for his journey down the lonely road to exile. But getting rid of Trump would only leave the Deep State with a bigger problem: itself. That is, an economy and a society that can’t be governed by any means.
I think many professional observers-of-the-scene are missing something in this unspooling story: the Deep State is actually becoming more impotent and ineffectual, not omnipotent. Case in point: RussiaGate — come on, let’s finally call it that — the popular idea that Russia hacked the 2016 presidential election. It’s popular because it’s such a convenient excuse for the failure of a corrupt, exhausted, and brain-dead Democratic establishment. But all the exertions of the Deep State to put over this story since last summer were negated this week by two events.
First, there was former NSA Director James Clapper’s appearance on NBC’s Sunday Meet the Press show with Chuck Todd featuring the following interchange:

Does intelligence exist that can definitively answer the following question, whether there were improper contacts between the Trump campaign and Russian officials?JAMES CLAPPER:
We did not include any evidence in our report, and I say, “our,” that’s N.S.A., F.B.I. and C.I.A., with my office, the Director of National Intelligence, that had anything, that had any reflection of collusion between members of the Trump campaign and the Russians. There was no evidence of that included in our report.CHUCK TODD:
I understand that. But does it exist?JAMES CLAPPER:
Not to my knowledge.
And so what to make of the RussiaGate histrionics served up by CNN, The New York Times, the WashPo, NPR, and sundry tools as Senator Chuck Schumer (D–NY)? What I make of it is a growing civil war in the government itself, and perhaps something arguably like sedition.
Second matter: this week’s release of Wikileaks’ Vault-7 trove of purloined government documents. These seem to suggest that US Intel agencies have acquired the ability to spoof any activity on any sort of computer or program that makes it impossible to track the identity of any hacker and, what’s more, gives US Intel a tool to make any party appear culpable for any given case of hacking — meaning that if so called computer hacking “footprints” had been discovered linking Russia to the Hillary-DNC-Podesta emails, those footprints could have been engineered by US Intel itself… meaning further that any so-called “evidence” of Russian election hacking could not be proven one way or the other.
Now, this might be too fine a point for the RussiaGate partisans, but I don’t see how it fails to moot the issue. The partisans are still finding other ways to propagandize. On Thursday evening, NPR ran a story about Russia breaking a missile agreement with this wrap-up from correspondent David Welna:
WELNA: Still unclear is how President Trump, an admirer of Russian President Vladimir Putin, might respond to Moscow’s defiance. David Welna, NPR News, Washington.
That lapse of newsmanship is the kind of thing that makes me (a still-registered Democrat) want to support the defunding of NPR.
All this hugger-mugger may be further mooted by the financial disorders of Spring 2017. Don’t underestimate the Federal Reserve’s eagerness in sending Trump on the road to political perdition with his shit sandwiches and hair shirt. The Fed’s board of governors knows full well that their interest rate hike could sink even the carefully fabricated Potemkin appearance of a healthy economy. It would also create more dire debt-servicing problems for the US Treasury when and if the debt ceiling problem ever gets resolved. They’re holding a hand grenade in the old USA bunker and they’re getting ready to pull the pin. Just watch.

I stopped listening to NPR and fully advocate its defunding.
It always had a bias, although more nuanced in the past. It’s bad enough that every other show is sponsored by some corporate entity and every 3 months they’re shamelessly begging for donations.
Keep funding for educational programs for children and so forth with PBS, but NPR needs to be dropped from public handouts. 3 morning hosts and Inskeep’s corny and lame attempts at humor? David Green adopting the Bawbwa Wawa routine of making celebrities cry? Terri Gross’s awful and awkward interviews? Reruns of car talk? Why are we paying for this?

I believe that the majority of the world’s population wishes us ill, and with good cause, as we have been butt-slamming them for at least a century…and there are but a few willing catamites in the group. As empire declines, defense is all we have keeping us from the groaning table of consequences, where an insufferable banquet awaits….

EF, I expressed, in the past, that the US has painted itself in the corner as far as it comes to global hegemony plays. Finance (currency) and guns. Where as China invests in hard tangible assets and trade, the US spends on “defense” (of empire). Guns are what keeps America in control, a tactic they have used since WWII, and one they have not, nor cannot, transition from. Some people understand this reality, others, like ole cHipster here and his ignoratio elenchi suggest that our commitments to it somehow justify taxpayer spending for partisan propaganda on our airways as well.
And the endless ever increasing spending on defense or as I like to call it the feeding trough for congress will never stop. Until we have a effective means of removing or term limiting of the rooked John McCain,Grahams and Ryan’s. Outing these habitual criminals in positions of power is required. Laws and procedures for getting on committees and heads of senate an house must be done.
What we have now is a almost 300 year evolution of the peter princible! Totally unacceptable and a total failure of historical proportions

Like ALL of the dysfunctions we suffer from, NPR’s downfall came at the hands of Reaganomics. NPR and PBS began losing their integrity when Reagan and his successors pimped them out. It didn’t happen all at once but, the disease crept through and now, the pollution of corporate sponsorship is all too obvious.
The damage is done and the whore is wallered out and covered in shame.
One has to be an old fart (like me) to remember when NPR and PBS were the dependable,untainted, sober, and trustworthy media outlets for intellectuals, academics, and like-minded people. The utter lack of glitz, glam, and fakery gave it value!
The original PBS children’s programming of the 1970’s was top notch. It, too, became pimped out by Reaganomics and was soiled as well.
ADHD Amerika couldn’t handle a return to the original PBS/NPR media presence. NPR-PBS is like a family dog that came down with rabies and is a menace to everyone. The warm fuzzy memories of the old media dog are hard to let go of but, it needs to be put out of its misery. And Daddy Trump is the one who has to do it.
Jim, you obviously get “it.” When we start rebuilding this behemoth I hope you are one of the planners.
But to one of our hosts’ points. He quotes James Clapper in an interview, and I have to wonder if he would actually tell the truth if he knew it. I seriously doubt that the architect of the matrix would reveal its structural flaw.
I do, however, agree that if the NSA and CIA can design a system that snoops on people and can leave evidence which points in another direction, that we would never know if the Russians hacked us or not. Which means Clapper may not know.
As for the “Ides of March” a quick look at history will demonstrate that we have faced many dire circumstances in the past that people of the time predicted would lead to the end of the US in some way or fashion and those predictions did not come true. I wish our host would explain (I have watched and listened to JHK on TV several times and read many of his weekly missives, but maybe I should read his books.) how 2017 is any different than say, 1787, 1800, 1832, 1861, 1872, 1908, 1929-1936, 1963, 1974 and so on. Hopefully I don’t have to describe the circumstances of each era.
Have you signed on to the racial agenda yet? To make America great again means to stop persecuting Whites – and let them lead as is their natural place since America is a Western Nation.
Against your premise: Most regimes or dynasties last about 240 years. See Sir John Glubb. Thus we’ve had our time. Now in Classical Civilizations, one Dynasty falls and another one rises fairly quickly, a few hundred miles away. Or sometime immediately and in the same place. But given the Diversity driven weakness of America, it is doubtful we will rise again. In the end we are just a country, not a nation, and therefore not a healthy cell of Western Civilization – which is dying too.
Hope I’m wrong and something can be salvaged. But if an America 2.0 arises out of the ashes, it is likely to be smaller and shaped very differently, perhaps including part of Central and Western Canada.

A few years ago I read the gal who runs PBS makes a half million a year.
They dont tell that to the unpaid volunteers.
It appears that the original 5 members of the cast of “Big Bang Theory” were yanking down a paltry $1000000 per episode; however, they recently each gave up $100000 per so that their newer co-stars who were only dragging in $200000 per episode would be slid up into more a rational pay of $450000 per. I gave up watching TV about 15 years back so I do not recall the numbers of episodes per season for those types of shows but the number 26 stands out. $500000 per year is a shit box full more than I ever made in a year but I would also conclude that $1000000/900000 per week is a shit box full of shitboxs full more.
So much arguing about either NPR or the “Defense” Department should be funded! Firstly, NPR has always shown their bias, although as Frank opines, it used to be a lot more cleverly nuanced. I stopped listening to NPR for two reasons; their obviously bias, and their hosts’ obsequiousness, bordering on the odious. But about that bias, at least prior to Trump’s emergence. They just love the “Republican/Democrat war party”. Am I dreaming that NPR’s bias was heavily in favor of our continuous presence in Chaosstan and Syria? The notion that NPR is a bunch of peaceniks hasn’t been true for decades. If nothing else, the NPR toadies know where their bread is buttered and they certainly have feet of clay. As with any bureaucracy, their primary objective is self-preservation. There is little, if any, genuine belief within their walls. But back to the point at hand – In no way has NPR been averse to spending lot of blood (not theirs of course) and treasure on foreign wars, so we should have none of this notion that somehow NPR are “poor peaceniks” who must fight for scraps while the military waxes fat. NPR has waxed really fat over past several decades. Defund them. An incidentally, I am by no means a war hawk. In fact, quite the opposite.
A real problem for me these days is finding any sort of semi-objective news source. Depending on who you listen to/read, either President Trump is Satan incarnate, or the Second Coming – nothing in between.
It can take half an hour’s research to establish the (probable) truthfulness of more or less *any* news item.
I get the impression from the united media front against Trump in this part of the world that the term ‘fake news’ used by his camp is ironic in so far as it is *he* who is churning it out. It is fake because it is *they*, the media, who are producing it.
Perhaps the situation is more balanced in America, with half the media faking for him and the other half faking against. But I doubt it.
I was moved to write to the newspaper last week when Ireland’s Sunday Independent, its biggest selling I think, carried an opinion piece about immigration (which is a strictly taboo topic here, as everywhere). The usually sensible journalist stated that “more than one in 10” people living here were born abroad. This is not untrue, strictly speaking. She would have been equally correct to say that it is more than one in a hundred. The OECD website, however, says it is 17.2%, which is more than one in six, not including the unknown number of illegal immigrants, which can only be guessed at.
This is only one example. I suspect I could write a paragraph in the same vein about countless other reports.
I don’t think the media could ever be trusted but I suspect it is far worse now. Would I be correct?
I meant to add that the OECD state that nearly half of these immigrants arrived in the last 5 years, that this is three times the average OECD rate for recent immigrants and that Ireland is at present in 7th place in terms of its proportion of immigrants (which may well change soon given the current rates). But you are not allowed to discuss it.

About 10 years ago the company I worked for sent me to a cyber security training class. One of the instructors explained that the compilers the hackers used to to create their virus/malware put tags within the executable that contain things like the type of keyboard they were using and the time zone where the code was compiled.
It turns out that most hackers just use existing code that they get from the dark corners of the web and in many cases don’t have much understanding of computer science or even exactly how the code works. If they did, they would remove these tags so that the code couldn’t be traced back to them.
A software engineer with some knowledge of compiler/linker function, the kind of thing they teach if you get a BS in software engineering, wouldn’t find it too difficult to alter these tags to make the malware look like it came from anywhere they want it to.
See Walter B’s comment below about the “wonders” of technology. We humans are so easily mesmerized by the novel and the trivial that we deserve to be enslaved!

There are two times in my life where an event spelled out the end of law for We The People.
The second event was when Comey made the speech about not recommending prosecution to the JustUs department.
But the first event was when Clapper lied under oath and nothing happened to him.
In this case, we are to take Clappers word about what he ‘didn’t find’. But its clear that We The People cannot trust his word, and that he should at least be in jail, and at the most suffer losses in equal size to all the illegal shit he oversees.
If we want to have an Adult discussion about these useless mouth breathers then we need to be Crystal Clear about history and our current reality.
Clapper and his entire organization is absolutely useless.

We The People wrote him off in 2015. Nothing he says matters. Even if he supports Trump, that is no more useful than a paper mache’ kickstand on the side of a fire truck – completely useless AND a fire hazard.

I beg to differ. The key to staying sane is to forget all this crap and then tune out the national media altogether. Something big’s afoot alright (a coup(s), apparently), but one will never figure out what it is by listening to any of this claptrap, which is expressly meant to throw us off the scent of whatever it is. And whatever it is, “we the people,” having been so successfully propagandized for all these years, damn sure don’t have the will to stop it anyway. The US’s days as a going concern are numbered.
Or when Eric Holder says he wasn’t going to prosecute “my people” – he should have been immediately fired. But nobody said much of anything, certainly no one with power. Extraordinary.

Our Host provided a similar argument just before the election…my then response, unfortunately was vitriolic. Why give unlimited power to an enemy, and then hope to glorify in his comeuppance? The Demon Sow would have embraced the role of “bag holder” if but given a few months at the levers of power…and the “Clinton” dynasty would be of little loss to the PTB…it’s destruction merely collateral damage.

I think both sides were viewed ultimately as patsies, just of different flavors. Because the illusion of “choice.” Trump’s a lot less cloying at least.
They don’t govern. They rely on orderly chaos to control what and who they choose. It is relatively easy to foment chaos. Just look at our NAME police of the past 100 years or so. (especially since the early 1970s)
I have a long established habit of posting the statement on places like this and others that thanks to technology “there is NO truth, there is only spin”. It is becoming more and more apparent as time goes by, the deadly virus that is technology has not only killed truth, but pretty much everything else it comes in contact with. It is quickly consuming jobs through automation and robotics. High tech has destroyed the financial systems of the world though the lifeless carcasses have yet to fall on their faces in the dirt. Morality, the family, even the ability of humans to interact successfully with one another have all been dealt fatal doses of hopelessness. Heck, the newfound abilities of making sexual organs magically change from what they started out as has even destroyed the Average Human Idiot’s abilities to figure out which Crap House to go into to drop a hot load! Technology may be successfully lining the pockets of the wealthy rulers that control the manufacture and marketing of these “advances”, but is it not apparent that no matter how much technology gives, it always TAKES far more from those who become enslaved by it?

Walter, of course there are things to complain about, but that is because change always brings discomfort. Technology has wrought massive change, and change will accelerate. Imagine 200 years in the future when citizens reading about the 21st century become amazed there were separate bathrooms for only 2 sexes (I don’t like the multi-gender bathroom idea, either). But as Shakespeare said, there is a tide to human affairs, and you better ride the wave or you will get swamped.
Me, I just accept change, and go along for the ride – I don’t expend energy on things I have no power over, and thus am stress-free about the future. You think things are terrible – due to evolving tech now – just wait a few years and see what transpires; today will seem tranquil and placid.
A.) People are programmed to believe things get better over time.
B.) People are programmed to bitch when they realize that things, and things they cannot control, do not get better over time.
The myth of linear “progress” is just that: a rather recently created myth. Wasn’t always and won’t always be true.
I have always understood that change happens and we either adapt, are left behind or die. Many decades ago we designed and drew machinery and systems by hand with paper and lead. It took a week to layout a typical facility. We were told that Computer Aided Design was going to come along one day and make our work MUCH easier and that we would have to learn it or go away. Of course we jumped on it as soon as it was available and while it was not “easier” at all, we could do same week’s worth of work in one day which we did. Of course from that day on we now did five times the work and at the same rate of pay to boot. Carpal Tunnel victims did not exist before this either nor did any whose vision would become impaired by the endless hours of staring into the Screens of Doom. No matter, we adapted.
Yes in one form or another we must work with technologies that come along, though sometimes I prefer to work around them and I do. In the end, if we evolve individually, we will absolutely move onto the next paradigm and drop dead. I can pretty much assure you that we will not be either needing nor taking ANY of these infernal technologies with us to the following dimension. Of course if those who believe that after death you simply lie there and rot are right, well Bingo, you will finally be free from these pesky and mostly bothersome techno-baubles as well. That’s what I call a Win-Win Scenario!
They just released robot food delivery in a few cities – little wagons that travel on the sidewalk. Taking away jobs? Of course not! “It frees the delivery personnel to focus on long distance runs”.
What will they say when driverless cars are doing those runs? Perhaps that this will increase the number of people needed to service driverless cars? After all, that’s true by definition since they’re new. But such wordplay merely avoids the intent of the original question. The simple truth is that technology replaces people. That’s why owners like it. It’s cheaper. The excuses and rationales come after the fact.

Like all bullies, he’s perfectly equipped to bluster and threaten, cheat and lie, so long as his intended victim is “weaker” than he is. Think of the contractors and architects he’s stiffed, the women he’s groped, the students at Trump University he’s conned, the refugees from a war-torn world he’s targeted — the list goes on and on.

Wasn’t it just a week ago when 45 said in his speech to Congress, “Our terrible drug epidemic will slow down and ultimately stop” saying that he would “expand treatment for those who have become so badly addicted.” Oh, what a difference a week makes!
MEDICAID
Last year 45 said: “I’m not going to cut Social Security like every other Republican, and I’m not going to cut Medicare or Medicaid.”
Now the Trump White House is negotiating to roll back the Medicaid expansion earlier (an earlier sunset date) to please conservatives — counter to Trump’s promise to leave Medicaid alone. So much for helping poor (rural and suburban) lower-class whites who qualify for Medicaid. Let them die in the streets.
45-elect touted his own health care legislation as a “great” and cheaper alternative to ObamaCare on Wednesday, assuring that “nobody is going to be dying on the streets” when he takes over the Oval Office. (January 18, 2017) Oh, what a difference two months make!

I read a good, perceptive book many years ago which discussed differences in worldview of different American generations. I think that the book was entitled “Generation X”. I’m “Generation X”. Never before in the history of our country has a National Security Advisor been fired after only 24 days in office, until 45 fired Flynn.
The reason given is that General Flynn had contact with the Russian government during the transition, and he lied about it. He was taped on a recorded phone call and there are transcripts, even though Flynn lied. Routine surveillance does not include Americans. If it was done using a FISA warrant an American would be “minimized” … so why do we have access to what Flynn and a Russian official were talking about?
And what about the timing of the firing? Flynn had multiple communications with Russian officials, which he continued beyond the campaign, into the transition and then after the transition. Mike Pence said General Flynn was not talking about the US decision to expel diplomats or anything related to sanctions. Pence was either lying or he thought he was telling the truth and was repeating Flynn’s lies.
Sally Yeats of DOJ took the information to the White House and explained the Flynn did talk to the Russians because she had the transcripts of recorded calls of Flynn talking about sanctions. The White House did nothing.
The White House knew about Flynn lying for three weeks and did nothing, until the evil mainstream media made it public. Then the White House was suddenly “outraged” because Pence had been lied to. Why did it happen that way? Why did they stick with Flynn for three weeks doing nothing, keeping Flynn as NSA, even after learning the truth about Flynn three weeks earlier.
Why was Flynn taking money from the Russians? Why was Flynn on the payroll of another foreign government while he was on the Trump campaign, while he was working on the Trump transition? It was widely and publicly known that Flynn was lobbying for Turkey, on the Turkish payroll, while advising Trump. Now the White House says Trump “had no idea” that Flynn was a foreign agent working for a foreign government while he was working for Trump.
Except that Representative Elijah Cummings had written a formal notification from Congress to alert Trump that Flynn was a foreign agent on the payroll of a foreign government, and should register as a foreign agent. Mike Pence was the head of the transition. Even if Flynn didn’t lie to Pence, Flynn would have needed to be fired.
Now Pence is lying on Fox News that all this is new to him. It is impossible that today is the first time he heard about Flynn being a foreign agent on a foreign government payroll. Pence was the head of the transition when lawyers went to Pence and alerted him that Flynn needed to register as a foreign. Flynn was receiving and delivering daily intelligence briefing while he was working as a foreign agent.
The story about why he was hired didn’t make sense. The story of his firing didn’t make sense. Why can’t they just tell the truth about happened? If they are going to blame Flynn, their story has to make sense. Meanwhile, Flynn is lawyering up, and retroactively registering as a foreign agent.
There is more to this story than Trump/Pence are admitting. And the truth will come out.

Ryan’s actions on the “replacement” are a stark contrast to how he behaved when the Affordable Care Act was Congress’ going concern. Back then, he demanded that the CBO score the bill ahead of committee markups.

On NPR: I haven’t listened to it in years, and they’re pretty PC, but have been that way since the beginning. I remember in 1979, when the Russians invaded Afghanistan, the first thing an ‘expert’ on NPR said was ‘the first thing we have to do is bring back détente,’ even though détente was long dead and had been discarded by the USSR.
I also remember a panel on racism that had six people, all pretty much the same anti-white pro-black views. But NPR is what it is. I know it from a college town I lived in, where they had Morning Edition, then classical music until three, then All Things Considered, then back to classical.
NPR always seems to be a station for second-raters, although I’m not really considering NBC, CBS, etc., as first raters. We need a new media.
My only real exposure to TV is when I work out at the gym and watch the monitors on the treadmill, and there’s not much to get my interest. if I’d chose a daring TV star, it would have to be Flo from Progressive.
I’d hate to see PBS lose more funding, because they have some good drama programs, but those are mostly BBC. I do watch Mercy Street, an actual original PBS program, a sort of ER set in the Civil War. Most PBS shows, from what I see, are minority/deviant friendly to an extreme, but there are other informative programs on occasion. I do wish they’d try more original American drama rather then just import BBC.
A problem is the mass market. Unusual programming only has a small market. I remember when A&E had a lot of good, BBC drama, but then they went totally commercial and have the usual dreck. Supposedly, with a ton of cable out there there should be a renaissance of programming, but it’s always the same doctors-lawyers-cops with a certain slant. Or like the History channel, which has a lot of UFO junk or mystical BS.
I remember when PBS actually had some funding in the late 70’s, and they had real drama…an American short story series with American writers like Fitzgerald, Twain, etc. Even further back, I remember the old NET theater in the 60’s, and although a lot of the programs looked like filmed stage plays, they had USA by Dos Passos, William’s Camino Real, The Scarecrow (with Gene Wilder), and other American works. But ExXon finds it cheaper to import BBC, and our ruling class is very Brit happy and imitative.
Onto Russia: a shame we ‘hate’ Russia, since we’ve never really had any real war with them (there was our sending troops in during the Russian Revolution to Vladivostok, which didn’t do much good. Russia seems to have forgiven us, and we gave them John Reed), and I think the current neocon attempt to start a crisis is fizzling, because people can see through it. It has all the truth of a John Mc Cain smile. It’s obvious Russia, China, and Iran are in the way of complete corporate globalization, and they’re not going to be easy to take out. Russia pretty much won WWII, China gave us a nasty slap in Korea, and Iran got the better of us in 1979 and 80. So, these are countries that can’t be slapped down by a few drones and Navy Seals. By the way, for the UK to leave the EU it has to invoke an agreement called Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty which gives the two sides two years to agree the terms of the split. It has not done that yet, though might do so soon, just around the corner. In any event, the UK’s Supreme Court ruled in January that Parliament must be consulted before Article 50 is invoked.

Why Iceland is not in the news
The story of the incessant revolution in Iceland is a vivid example of how little our media tell us about the world.
In 2008, at the beginning of the financial crisis, Iceland literally went bankrupt. The reasons were mentioned only casually, and since then this little-known member of the European Union, as they say, disappeared from the radar.
As one after another European countries are threatened with bankruptcy, which threatens the existence of the euro, which will have very severe consequences for the whole world, the last thing that the powers that be want Iceland to become an example for others.
In 2003, Iceland’s debt was equal to 200 percent of its GNP, and in 2007 it was 900 percent. The global financial crisis of 2008 was a deadly blow. Three major Icelandic banks – Landbanki, Kapthing and Glitnir – went belly up and were nationalized, and the krona lost 85 percent of its value against the euro.
At the end of the year, Iceland declared bankruptcy. Contrary to what was to be expected, in the direct application of democracy, the crisis led the Icelanders to restore their sovereign rights, which eventually led to a new Constitution. Protests and riots ultimately forced the government to resign.
The elections were pushed forward in April 2009, as a result of which the left coalition came to power, which condemned the neo-liberal economic system, but immediately surrendered the requirements for Iceland to pay a total of 3.5 billion euros.
This required that every resident of Iceland pay monthly 100 euros for fifteen years to pay off debts incurred by private individuals in relation to other private individuals. It was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
What happened next was extraordinary. The idea that citizens must pay for mistakes of financial monopolies, that a whole country should be taxed to pay off private debts, change the relations between citizens and their political institutions, and eventually lead to the fact that the leaders of Iceland took the side of their voters.
Head of State Olafur Ragnar Grimsson refused to ratify the law, which would make the citizens of Iceland responsible for the debts of Icelandic bankers, and agreed to convene a referendum.
Of course, the international community only increased the pressure on Iceland. Britain and Holland threatened with severe repressions, which would lead to the isolation of the country. When the Icelanders gathered to vote, the IMF threatened to deprive the country of any of its assistance. The British government threatened to freeze the savings and current accounts of the Icelanders.
As Grimmson used to say: “We were told that if we do not accept the conditions of the international community, then we will become northern Cuba. But if we agreed, we would become northern Haiti. “
In the March referendum in 2010, 93 percent voted against the payment of debts. The IMF immediately froze crediting. But the revolution (which mainstream media almost did not write about) was not intimidated. With the support of angry citizens, the government initiated civil and criminal investigations into persons responsible for the financial crisis.
Interpol issued an international warrant for the arrest of former president of Kaupthing Bank Sigurdur Einarsson, and other bankers, also involved in the collapse, fled the country.
But the Icelanders did not stop there: they decided to adopt a new Constitution that would free the country from the power of international finance and virtual money. To write a new Constitution, the people of Iceland elected 25 citizens out of 522 adults who did not belong to any political party, which was recommended by at least 30 citizens. This document was not the handiwork of a handful of politicians, but was written on the Internet.
Constituent meetings were held on-line, and citizens could write their comments and make proposals, with their own eyes watching how their Constitution gradually takes shape. The constitution, which was ultimately born in the framework of such popular participation, will be submitted to parliament for approval after the next election.
Today, the same solutions are offered to other peoples. The people of Greece are told that the privatization of their public sector is the only solution. The same threatens the Italians, the Spaniards and the Portuguese.
Let them look at Iceland and its refusal to submit to foreign interests, when a tiny country loudly and clearly declared that their people are sovereign.

HOW SOLAR ENERGY WORKS AT NIGHT ON KAUAI, HAWAII
Tesla, SolarCity, and partner Kauai Island Utility Cooperative unveiled the completed solar and energy-storage facility last week. The Tesla installation includes nearly 55,000 individual solar panels, and 272 Tesla Powerpack lithium-ion battery packs. Those packs have 52 megawatt-hours of storage capacity, and can discharge up to 13 megawatts of power to the grid.
Tesla also has a deal with infrastructure company AES for a similar solar-and-energy-storage project on Kauai’s southern shore, including a 28-megawatt solar array.
Solar and battery packs work… even when the sun don’t shine.

The only difference is that my system uses the time-tested, RECYCLABLE, and rugged lead-acid battery for storage. Tesla’s lithium-ion batteries CANNOT be economically recycled and depend on supplies from politically unstable countries in South America.
Up ’til now, it’s been centralized power generation on demand. That works O.K. with cheap fuel and gives monopoly control to the power companies.
I said that the future must incorporate DE-centralized power generation and distributed STORAGE.
That means each house or building must have solar and/or wind energy production AND built in battery bank. In the event of cloudy days or insufficient wind, the battery bank must have a minimum capacity to carry the house for 24 hours without power only selected loads i.e. refrigerator, freezer, TV, computer, and lights. More battery capacity can be added at the owner’s expense.
Unlike grid-tied systems, the ONLY TIME the house may connect to the grid is to recharge the batteries! Solar and wind feedback into the grid causes problems and makes load balancing difficult.
Eventually, centralized electric generation can shift to solar-wind-battery systems that transmit over the existing high-tension power grid. This is perfectly feasible since most loads will be carried by the end-user anyway.
The only time coal, oil, or nuclear will be used will be for major loads, like factories, industrial parks, concrete plants, etc.
Yes, solar and battery packs work but, I have my doubts about this Tesla techno-glam approach.

As for watching TV at the gym, I have no choice. The monitors are everywhere, and once in a while, when the satellite goes out, I’m delighted. Also, we’ve got loud, noisy rap music that is annoying, and the clerks just shrug and say ‘it’s out of our hands’ when I ask them to turn it down. That no one, from kids to seniors, don’t mind tells you how narcotized Americans are to noise, which some deep state students suggest is used for subliminal mind control.
We also have exercise classes that boom out music for a zumba class, a kind of salsa/ rap that is profoundly annoying, especially when you see a bunch of old white ladies try to get down.

Fairest Things Have Fleetest Endings
A haunting novel about the end of the white race.

Fiction can be more powerful than fact. Authors have always lent their talents to causes, often swaying events more effectively than journalists or politicians. Fiction, including virtually everything emitted by Hollywood, has usually been in the service of the left, but occasionally an author declares his allegiance to culture and tradition.
In The Camp of the Saints, Jean Raspail goes further and declares his allegiance to his race — though it is an allegiance tinged with bitterness at the weakness of the white man. Originally published in 1973, this may be the first significant racialist novel since the days of Thomas Dixon. It is the story of the final, tragic end of European civilization which falls, like all great civilizations, by its own hand.
The novel is set in the near future in France, where the leftist sicknesses of multi-culturalism and multi-racialism have undermined all natural defenses. As Mr. Raspail writes of young Europeans:
“That scorn of a people of other races, the knowledge that one’s own is best, the triumphant joy at feeling oneself to be part of humanity’s finest — none of that had ever filled these youngsters’ addled brains, or at least so little that the monstrous cancer implanted in the Western conscience had quashed it in no time at all.”
By then, “the white race was nothing more than a million sheep,” beaten down by decades of anti-white propaganda. As Mr. Raspail explains, it was “a known fact that racism comes in two forms: that practiced by whites — heinous and inexcusable, whatever its motives — and that practiced by blacks — quite justified, whatever its excess, since it’s merely the expression of a righteous revenge …”
This is the state of mind with which the West confronts its final crisis: nearly a million starving, disease-ridden boat people — men, women, and children — set sail from the Ganges delta for Europe. Practically no one is willing to say that this flotilla must be stopped at all costs. Instead, liberals and Christians spout confident nonsense about welcoming their Hindu brothers into the wealth and comfort of Europe.
The thought of this wretched brown mass sailing for Europe is a source of great joy for the World Council of Churches. Its men are “shock-troop pastors, righteous in their loathing of anything and everything that smacked of present-day Western society, and boundless in their love of whatever might destroy it.” They are determined “to welcome the million Christs on board those ships, who would rise up, reborn, and signal the dawn of a just, new day …”
One of the few Europeans who recognizes that what has come to be called the “Last Chance Armada” spells the doom of Christendom reproaches a group of anti-Western churchmen:
“There’s not one of you proud of his skin, and all that it stands for…”
“Not proud, or aware of it either,” replies one. “That’s the price we have to pay for the brotherhood of man. We’re happy to pay it.”
Europe is rife with fifth-column propagandists, products of earlier capitulations. Typical of these is Clement Dio, “citizen of France, North African by blood … [who] possessed a belligerent intellect that thrived on springs of racial hatred barely below the surface, and far more intense than anyone imagined.”
Knowing full well that acceptance of the first wave of third world refugees will only prompt imitators that will eventually swamp the white West, he writes happily about how “the civilization of the Ganges” will enrich a culturally bankrupt continent:
“Considering all the wonders that the Ganges had bestowed on us already — sacred music, theater, dance, yoga, mysticism, arts and crafts, jewelry, new styles in dress — the burning question … was how we could manage to do without these folks any longer!”
As the flotilla makes for Europe, school teachers set assignments for their students: “Describe the life of the poor, suffering souls on board the ships, and express your feelings toward their plight in detail, by imagining, for example, that one of the desperate families comes to your home and asks you to take them in.”
The boat people steam towards the Suez Canal, but the Egyptians, not soft like whites, threaten to sink the entire convoy. One hundred ships turn south, around the horn of Africa — towards Europe. The refugees run out of fuel for cooking and start burning their own excrement. Pilots sent to observe the fleet report an unbearable stench.
A few deluded whites have boarded the ships in Calcutta and sail along with “the civilization of the Ganges,” dreaming of Europe:
“Already they saw it their mission to guide the flock’s first steps on Western soil. One would empty out all our hospital beds so that cholera-ridden and leprous wretches could sprawl between their clean white sheets. Another would cram our brightest, cheeriest nurseries full of monster children. Another would preach unlimited sex, in the name of the one, single race of the future …”
The Hindus tolerate these traitors until almost the end of the voyage and then strangle them, throwing their naked bodies overboard so that they drift onto a Spanish beach as the armada heads for the south of France. The boat people have no need for guides of this kind, from a race that has lost all relevance:
“The Last Chance Armada, en route to the West, was feeding on hatred. A hatred of almost philosophical proportions, so utter, so absolute, that it had no thoughts of revenge, or blood, or death, but merely consigned its objects to the ultimate void. In this case, the whites. For the Ganges refugees, on their way to Europe, the whites had simply ceased to be.”
Finally, on the morning of Easter Sunday, the 100 creaking hulks crash onto the beaches. The local inhabitants have abandoned all thought of taking in a family of Hindus, and have fled north. Many of the fashionable leftist agitators have likewise left their editorial jobs and radio programs and disappeared, with their gold bars, to Switzerland. The army has been sent south to prevent a landing, but there are doubts as to whether whites can be made to slaughter unarmed civilians.
As one government official explains to another, “[D]on’t count on the army, monsieur. Not if you’ve got … genocide in mind.”
The other replies: “Then it just means another kind of genocide … Our own.”
At the last moment the French President is unable to give the order to fire. He urges the troops to act according to their consciences. They throw down their rifles and run.
Bands of hippies and Christians, who have come south to welcome their brown brothers also turn and run as soon as they get a whiff of the new arrivals. “How could a good cause smell so bad?”
The few remaining whites with any sense of their civilization find they can communicate practically without speaking: “That was part of the Western genius, too: a mannered mentality, a collusion of aesthetes, a conspiracy of caste, a good-natured indifference to the crass and the common. With so few left now to share in its virtues, the current passed all the more easily between them.”
A handful of citizens drive south with their hunting rifles on suicide missions to do the job their government is unable to do. One of these, ironically, is an assimilated Indian. As he explains to another band of citizen-hunters, “Every white supremacist cause — no matter where or when — has had blacks on its side. And they didn’t mind fighting for the enemy, either. Today, with so many whites turning black, why can’t a few ‘darkies’ decide to be white? Like me.”
The Indian is killed, along with his white comrades, in an attack by fighter-bombers sent by the French government to put down resistance to the invasion. Soldiers who were unable to kill brown people make short work of “racist” whites.
All over France non-whites take the offensive. Algerians on assembly lines rise up and kill their white bosses. African street cleaners knock on the doors of de luxe Paris apartments and move in. A multi-racial government, including a few token whites, announces a new dispensation.
Capitulation by the French means capitulation everywhere. Masses of ragged Chinese pour into Russia, whose troops are likewise unable to fire on hungry civilians. Huge fleets of beggars set sail from every pestilential southern port, heading for Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. The same drama unfolds In the United States. “Black would be black, and white would be white. There was no changing either, except by a total mix, a blend into tan. They were enemies on sight, and their hatred and scorn only grew as they came to know each other better.” Americans lay down their arms just as the French do.
Raspail hints here and there at what the new Europe will be like: “At the time, each refugee quarter had its stock of white women, all free for the taking. And perfectly legal. (One of the new regime’s first laws, in fact. In order to ‘demythify’ the white woman, as they put it.)”
The first provisional government also has a Minister of Population — a French woman married to a black — to ensure a permanent solution to the race problem. After all: “Only a white woman can have a white baby. Let her choose not to conceive one, let her choose only nonwhite mates, and the genetic results aren’t long in coming.”
And so ends the saga of Western man, not in pitched battle, not in defeat at the hands of superior forces, but by capitulation.
Even after a quarter century, the novel is astonishingly current. It was written before Communism collapsed, and the new French revolution is spiced with anti-capitalist slogans that now sound slightly off key. One might also complain that a few of the characters verge on caricature. Nevertheless, the central tragedy — suicidal white weakness — is brilliantly portrayed and could have been written in 1995.
Mr. Raspail obviously loves his culture and his race, and wrote in the afterward that although he had intended to end the book with a spasm of white self-consciousness that saves Europe, the final catastrophe seemed to write itself. Perhaps he could not, in good faith, write a different ending. In the preface to the 1985 French edition he observed:
“[T]he West is empty, even if it has not yet become really aware of it. An extraordinarily inventive civilization, surely the only one capable of meeting the challenges of the third millennium, the West has no soul left. At every level — nations, race, cultures as well as individuals — it is always the soul that wins the decisive battles.”
The Camp of the Saints puts the white man’s dilemma in the most difficult terms: slaughter hundreds of thousands of women and children or face oblivion. Of course, a nation that had the confidence to shed blood in the name of its own survival would never be put to such a test; no mob of beggars would threaten it.
The story that Mr. Raspail tells — the complete collapse of Western man even when the very survival of his civilization so clearly hangs in the balance — may seem implausible to some. And yet, what whites do in The Camp of the Saints is no different from what they have done every day for the past forty years. The only difference is that the novel moves in fast forward; it covers in months what could take decades.
Whites all around the world suffer from Mr. Raspail’s “monstrous cancer implanted in the Western conscience.” South Africans vote for black rule. Americans import millions of nonwhites and grant them racial preferences. Australians abandon their whites-only immigration policy and become multi-cultural.
Even if he did not actively cooperate in his own destruction, time works against the white man. As Mr. Raspail writes in the afterward, “the proliferation of other races dooms our race, my race, irretrievably to extinction in the century to come, if we hold fast to our present moral principles.” No other race subscribes to these moral principles — if that is really what they are — because they are weapons of self-annihilation.
Mr. Raspail’s powerful, gripping novel is a call to all whites to rekindle their sense of race, love of culture, and pride in history — for he knows that without them we will disappear.
And so ends the saga of Western man, not in pitched battle, not in defeat at the hands of superior forces, but by capitulation.

In both Europe and everywhere Europeans traveled, poor white people have always produced more children than the rich. Right after I posted that, I remembered the huge rural White families of a century ago and prior. Instead, I was talking about the 20th century when Whites finally elevated themselves above Nature and created modern civilization. But, a hostile 3rd party sowed evil seed in our design.
Higher standards of living didn’t cause our birthrates to fall. The ZOG Matrix makes having a high standard of living AND having kids a stupid idea. Lucky the human being, considering inflicting harm on others, who can see in advance via prophetic vision the agony and suffering of those he might harm should he follow through.

It can’t be easy for leaders imbued with morality to make the really tough calls where some will be hurt in order to salvage the greater good, especially when events are a moving target.
I propose that those one unjustly vanquishes/subjugates in the coporeal world are those one weds in the immaterial world:Eternally attached at the hip.
Thus, ‘Do No Harm’ is not always a-priori morality; it might also be a very self serving consideration.
