Can you see those swans coming in for a landing on Pond USA? They’re not exactly black swans, because you knew they were out there circling, but they’re dark enough against the twilight’s last gleaming to give you the heebie jeebies.

Troubles and portents of more trouble are stacking up as we approach the Ides of March zone of financial turmoil. You must surely surmise that a debt ceiling impact, a Federal Reserve interest rate hike, and the election of a Dutch anti-EU leader all scheduled for that one day are a good start on the greater unravel to follow. Glowering in the spotlight at center stage will be President Donald Trump, designated bag-holder of the Deep State and its myrmidons. And what’s in that bag he’s holding? Just a couple of shit sandwiches and a hair shirt for his journey down the lonely road to exile. But getting rid of Trump would only leave the Deep State with a bigger problem: itself. That is, an economy and a society that can’t be governed by any means.

I think many professional observers-of-the-scene are missing something in this unspooling story: the Deep State is actually becoming more impotent and ineffectual, not omnipotent. Case in point: RussiaGate — come on, let’s finally call it that — the popular idea that Russia hacked the 2016 presidential election. It’s popular because it’s such a convenient excuse for the failure of a corrupt, exhausted, and brain-dead Democratic establishment. But all the exertions of the Deep State to put over this story since last summer were negated this week by two events.

First, there was former NSA Director James Clapper’s appearance on NBC’s Sunday Meet the Press show with Chuck Todd featuring the following interchange:

CHUCK TODD:
Does intelligence exist that can definitively answer the following question, whether there were improper contacts between the Trump campaign and Russian officials?

JAMES CLAPPER:
We did not include any evidence in our report, and I say, “our,” that’s N.S.A., F.B.I. and C.I.A., with my office, the Director of National Intelligence, that had anything, that had any reflection of collusion between members of the Trump campaign and the Russians. There was no evidence of that included in our report.

CHUCK TODD:
I understand that. But does it exist?

JAMES CLAPPER:
Not to my knowledge.

And so what to make of the RussiaGate histrionics served up by CNN, The New York Times, the WashPo, NPR, and sundry tools as Senator Chuck Schumer (D–NY)? What I make of it is a growing civil war in the government itself, and perhaps something arguably like sedition.

Second matter: this week’s release of Wikileaks’ Vault-7 trove of purloined government documents. These seem to suggest that US Intel agencies have acquired the ability to spoof any activity on any sort of computer or program that makes it impossible to track the identity of any hacker and, what’s more, gives US Intel a tool to make any party appear culpable for any given case of hacking — meaning that if so called computer hacking “footprints” had been discovered linking Russia to the Hillary-DNC-Podesta emails, those footprints could have been engineered by US Intel itself… meaning further that any so-called “evidence” of Russian election hacking could not be proven one way or the other.

Now, this might be too fine a point for the RussiaGate partisans, but I don’t see how it fails to moot the issue. The partisans are still finding other ways to propagandize. On Thursday evening, NPR ran a story about Russia breaking a missile agreement with this wrap-up from correspondent David Welna:

WELNA: Still unclear is how President Trump, an admirer of Russian President Vladimir Putin, might respond to Moscow’s defiance. David Welna, NPR News, Washington.

That lapse of newsmanship is the kind of thing that makes me (a still-registered Democrat) want to support the defunding of NPR.

All this hugger-mugger may be further mooted by the financial disorders of Spring 2017. Don’t underestimate the Federal Reserve’s eagerness in sending Trump on the road to political perdition with his shit sandwiches and hair shirt. The Fed’s board of governors knows full well that their interest rate hike could sink even the carefully fabricated Potemkin appearance of a healthy economy. It would also create more dire debt-servicing problems for the US Treasury when and if the debt ceiling problem ever gets resolved. They’re holding a hand grenade in the old USA bunker and they’re getting ready to pull the pin. Just watch.

I wouldn’t say the Black Swans are circling either. What’s circling are buzzards!

The only reason they haven’t landed is the Deep State is constantly spraying Glade “Morning In America!” room freshener on the corpse!

Every now and then, the smell of death does break through. Just enough to keep the buzzards circling.

    • routersurfer March 10, 2017 at 10:02 am #

JimInFlorida, I want a case of that Glade!!!! Damn, dumb with no memory is USa.

  2. Frankiti March 10, 2017 at 9:53 am #

I stopped listening to NPR and fully advocate its defunding.
It always had a bias, although more nuanced in the past. It’s bad enough that every other show is sponsored by some corporate entity and every 3 months they’re shamelessly begging for donations.
Keep funding for educational programs for children and so forth with PBS, but NPR needs to be dropped from public handouts. 3 morning hosts and Inskeep’s corny and lame attempts at humor? David Green adopting the Bawbwa Wawa routine of making celebrities cry? Terri Gross’s awful and awkward interviews? Reruns of car talk? Why are we paying for this?

    • chipshot March 10, 2017 at 10:02 am #

“Why are we paying for this?” from a guy who supports a $54 BILLION increase in military spending. Laughable. Any credibility you had just went up in smoke, Frank.

      • Frankiti March 10, 2017 at 11:52 am #

Chip, first off, who here genuinely cares about “credibility” amongst a bunch of whining a**holes with multiple avatars and fictional personas?

Anyway, y’see Chippy, it ain’t about the money, and military spending. I know you’re a bit dim, but it’s about the government funding a biased propaganda mouthpiece with taxpayer money and laws related to the airways and so forth. Your fallacy of relevance is what’s laughable. Kids do that, young stupid ones. Grow up.

        • seawolf77 March 10, 2017 at 12:16 pm #

Did you miss your morning goose step? Go get some exercise and come back after you beat Forrest Gump’s 2 and 1/2 year mark. That should you back across the pond where you belong. You may have to travel a portion underwater. Oh well.

          • Frankiti March 10, 2017 at 12:22 pm #

It’s amazing. Simply amazing. Your stream of consciousness in written form. If it were an image, say a comic’s text bubble sketched over your head, it would be a monkey riding a unicycle playing an accordion. My you are a gorgeous moron.

        • chipshot March 10, 2017 at 1:22 pm #

Frank, first off, no one has an avatar on this blog.

Credibility, especially among regular contributors like yourself,
is everything. If you lose it, everything you say becomes irrelevant
and meaningless. That you resort to personal insults against those who challenge or disagree w you reinforces your lack of cred.

PS Being grown up is over rated. Adults have a lot to learn from kids about having fun.

          • Frankiti March 10, 2017 at 2:08 pm #

Yes there is a dog avatar and a few others here.
            Wrong again.

Credibility is not everything. I don’t think the host is above 10% on predictions. Yet here I am.
            Wrong again.

I don’t resort to personal insults. They are merely an exclamation to my point.
            Wrong again.

I’d rather be guilty of insulting than formulating ridiculous arguments… for example, by supporting defunding of NPR means you support billions in defense spending.
            Wrong again dummy.
Take your cred and shove it up your ***

          • elysianfield March 10, 2017 at 6:58 pm #

” defunding of NPR means you support billions in defense spending”

            Frank,
I feel your pain regarding defense spending, however….

I believe that the majority of the world’s population wishes us ill, and with good cause, as we have been butt-slamming them for at least a century…and there are but a few willing catamites in the group. As empire declines, defense is all we have keeping us from the groaning table of consequences, where an insufferable banquet awaits….

Spend whatever it takes, waste what you will…enrich the unworthy…just get it done.

          • Frankiti March 11, 2017 at 8:53 am #

EF, I expressed, in the past, that the US has painted itself in the corner as far as it comes to global hegemony plays. Finance (currency) and guns. Where as China invests in hard tangible assets and trade, the US spends on “defense” (of empire). Guns are what keeps America in control, a tactic they have used since WWII, and one they have not, nor cannot, transition from. Some people understand this reality, others, like ole cHipster here and his ignoratio elenchi suggest that our commitments to it somehow justify taxpayer spending for partisan propaganda on our airways as well.

      • mastman23 March 13, 2017 at 1:22 pm #

And the endless ever increasing spending on defense or as I like to call it the feeding trough for congress will never stop. Until we have a effective means of removing or term limiting of the rooked John McCain,Grahams and Ryan’s. Outing these habitual criminals in positions of power is required. Laws and procedures for getting on committees and heads of senate an house must be done.

What we have now is a almost 300 year evolution of the peter princible! Totally unacceptable and a total failure of historical proportions

        • mastman23 March 13, 2017 at 1:23 pm #

          Tots!

    • routersurfer March 10, 2017 at 10:04 am #

As a balance to the other crap. Problem is NPR and the rest have become Koched.

      • Frankiti March 10, 2017 at 11:54 am #

Then support Pacifica radio, don’t ask taxpayers to support NPR.

    • JimInFlorida March 10, 2017 at 10:20 am #

Like ALL of the dysfunctions we suffer from, NPR’s downfall came at the hands of Reaganomics. NPR and PBS began losing their integrity when Reagan and his successors pimped them out. It didn’t happen all at once but, the disease crept through and now, the pollution of corporate sponsorship is all too obvious.

The damage is done and the whore is wallered out and covered in shame.

One has to be an old fart (like me) to remember when NPR and PBS were the dependable, untainted, sober, and trustworthy media outlets for intellectuals, academics, and like-minded people. The utter lack of glitz, glam, and fakery gave it value!

The original PBS children’s programming of the 1970’s was top notch. It, too, became pimped out by Reaganomics and was soiled as well.

ADHD Amerika couldn’t handle a return to the original PBS/NPR media presence. NPR-PBS is like a family dog that came down with rabies and is a menace to everyone. The warm fuzzy memories of the old media dog are hard to let go of but, it needs to be put out of its misery. And Daddy Trump is the one who has to do it.

      • Dumbedup March 10, 2017 at 11:35 am #

Jim, you obviously get “it.” When we start rebuilding this behemoth I hope you are one of the planners.

But to one of our hosts’ points. He quotes James Clapper in an interview, and I have to wonder if he would actually tell the truth if he knew it. I seriously doubt that the architect of the matrix would reveal its structural flaw.

I do, however, agree that if the NSA and CIA can design a system that snoops on people and can leave evidence which points in another direction, that we would never know if the Russians hacked us or not. Which means Clapper may not know.

As for the “Ides of March” a quick look at history will demonstrate that we have faced many dire circumstances in the past that people of the time predicted would lead to the end of the US in some way or fashion and those predictions did not come true. I wish our host would explain (I have watched and listened to JHK on TV several times and read many of his weekly missives, but maybe I should read his books.) how 2017 is any different than say, 1787, 1800, 1832, 1861, 1872, 1908, 1929-1936, 1963, 1974 and so on. Hopefully I don’t have to describe the circumstances of each era.

        • Janos Skorenzy March 10, 2017 at 1:55 pm #

Have you signed on to the racial agenda yet? To make America great again means to stop persecuting Whites – and let them lead as is their natural place since America is a Western Nation.

Against your premise: Most regimes or dynasties last about 240 years. See Sir John Glubb. Thus we’ve had our time. Now in Classical Civilizations, one Dynasty falls and another one rises fairly quickly, a few hundred miles away. Or sometime immediately and in the same place. But given the Diversity driven weakness of America, it is doubtful we will rise again. In the end we are just a country, not a nation, and therefore not a healthy cell of Western Civilization – which is dying too.

Hope I’m wrong and something can be salvaged. But if an America 2.0 arises out of the ashes, it is likely to be smaller and shaped very differently, perhaps including part of Central and Western Canada.

          • thwack March 10, 2017 at 2:50 pm #

why don’t you compose a great symphony or do something else of constructive value?

            You’re white aren’t you?

Racists wanna change everything but themselves.

          • JimInFlorida March 10, 2017 at 3:04 pm #

            thwack,

We (Whites) have to return to our better condition i.e. 1953 and prior.

Just try and get anything done if you’re sick and insane. Whites can’t either. We didn’t self-inflict our wounds. A certain infamous Third Party was integral to the operation and they BRAG about it!

Whites don’t always have to be involved in Great Things. Just simply being a mid-century Anglo-Saxon is reward enough for the world. Our clean neighborhoods, safe food and water, productivity, and social harmony bless the world just by existing.

We must NEVER allow The-Tribe-That-Shall-Not-Be-Named to “blockbust” our living spaces again.

          • thwack March 10, 2017 at 4:30 pm #

Are you trying to claim white people had it easier in the past?

          • JimInFlorida March 10, 2017 at 6:27 pm #

Maybe not easier in the strict material sense.

Whites felt like they were in their own national home. Where we belong! Our social living space was comforting and reflected the effort we put into making it pleasant.

I do remember when NPR, PBS was a trustworthy news source..They skewered corrupt Democrats (Harry Reid), and Republicans (take your pick, how about Reagan?) alike.

NPR, for all it’s faults, still better than the rest of the noise on radio.

            good Idea,

      • Frankiti March 10, 2017 at 12:54 pm #

America is less intelligent and vastly more partisan.
Even here, comments are often construed as alignment with a party or political orthodoxy. Simple people need simple patterns that provide simple illusions of answers. Some say binary programming, others say a failure of teaching logic and rhetoric, still more say the dumbing down. It’s many and all.

        • seawolf77 March 10, 2017 at 7:22 pm #

You’re as supercilious as seaweed. You must be a shrimp. “often construed as alignment with a party or political orthodoxy.” It’s called ideology. You take 10 words to express a simple thought. Succinct. It’s an indication of clear thought. Try it sometime. It might clear your head, even better than the enemas you’ve been trying.

          • Frankiti March 11, 2017 at 9:01 am #

A few years ago I read the gal who runs PBS makes a half million a year.
They dont tell that to the unpaid volunteers.

      • Ken Hall March 10, 2017 at 3:42 pm #

It appears that the original 5 members of the cast of “Big Bang Theory” were yanking down a paltry $1000000 per episode; however, they recently each gave up $100000 per so that their newer co-stars who were only dragging in $200000 per episode would be slid up into more a rational pay of $450000 per. I gave up watching TV about 15 years back so I do not recall the numbers of episodes per season for those types of shows but the number 26 stands out. $500000 per year is a shit box full more than I ever made in a year but I would also conclude that $1000000/900000 per week is a shit box full of shitboxs full more.

    • AKlein March 11, 2017 at 7:37 am #

So much arguing about either NPR or the “Defense” Department should be funded! Firstly, NPR has always shown their bias, although as Frank opines, it used to be a lot more cleverly nuanced. I stopped listening to NPR for two reasons; their obviously bias, and their hosts’ obsequiousness, bordering on the odious. But about that bias, at least prior to Trump’s emergence. They just love the “Republican/Democrat war party”. Am I dreaming that NPR’s bias was heavily in favor of our continuous presence in Chaosstan and Syria? The notion that NPR is a bunch of peaceniks hasn’t been true for decades. If nothing else, the NPR toadies know where their bread is buttered and they certainly have feet of clay. As with any bureaucracy, their primary objective is self-preservation. There is little, if any, genuine belief within their walls. But back to the point at hand – In no way has NPR been averse to spending lot of blood (not theirs of course) and treasure on foreign wars, so we should have none of this notion that somehow NPR are “poor peaceniks” who must fight for scraps while the military waxes fat. NPR has waxed really fat over past several decades. Defund them. An incidentally, I am by no means a war hawk. In fact, quite the opposite.

  3. Ishabaka March 10, 2017 at 9:55 am #

A real problem for me these days is finding any sort of semi-objective news source. Depending on who you listen to/read, either President Trump is Satan incarnate, or the Second Coming – nothing in between.

    • Sean Coleman March 10, 2017 at 10:27 am #

It can take half an hour’s research to establish the (probable) truthfulness of more or less *any* news item.

I get the impression from the united media front against Trump in this part of the world that the term ‘fake news’ used by his camp is ironic in so far as it is *he* who is churning it out. It is fake because it is *they*, the media, who are producing it.

Perhaps the situation is more balanced in America, with half the media faking for him and the other half faking against. But I doubt it.

I was moved to write to the newspaper last week when Ireland’s Sunday Independent, its biggest selling I think, carried an opinion piece about immigration (which is a strictly taboo topic here, as everywhere). The usually sensible journalist stated that “more than one in 10” people living here were born abroad. This is not untrue, strictly speaking. She would have been equally correct to say that it is more than one in a hundred. The OECD website, however, says it is 17.2%, which is more than one in six, not including the unknown number of illegal immigrants, which can only be guessed at.

This is only one example. I suspect I could write a paragraph in the same vein about countless other reports.

I don’t think the media could ever be trusted but I suspect it is far worse now. Would I be correct?

      • Sean Coleman March 10, 2017 at 10:32 am #

I meant to add that the OECD state that nearly half of these immigrants arrived in the last 5 years, that this is three times the average OECD rate for recent immigrants and that Ireland is at present in 7th place in terms of its proportion of immigrants (which may well change soon given the current rates). But you are not allowed to discuss it.

        • malthuss March 10, 2017 at 11:05 am #

“These seem to suggest that US Intel agencies have acquired the ability to spoof any activity on any sort of computer or program that makes it impossible to track the identity of any hacker”

About 10 years ago the company I worked for sent me to a cyber security training class. One of the instructors explained that the compilers the hackers used to to create their virus/malware put tags within the executable that contain things like the type of keyboard they were using and the time zone where the code was compiled.

It turns out that most hackers just use existing code that they get from the dark corners of the web and in many cases don’t have much understanding of computer science or even exactly how the code works. If they did, they would remove these tags so that the code couldn’t be traced back to them.

A software engineer with some knowledge of compiler/linker function, the kind of thing they teach if you get a BS in software engineering, wouldn’t find it too difficult to alter these tags to make the malware look like it came from anywhere they want it to.

Thank you for another great entry JHK. CFN is the only thing I look forward to reading every week.

This week though, JHK almost walks back an important assertion from our past.

The key to staying sane today is to Never Forget.
(and staying away from the sheep and illegals)

There are two times in my life where an event spelled out the end of law for We The People.

The second event was when Comey made the speech about not recommending prosecution to the JustUs department.

But the first event was when Clapper lied under oath and nothing happened to him.

In this case, we are to take Clappers word about what he ‘didn’t find’. But its clear that We The People cannot trust his word, and that he should at least be in jail, and at the most suffer losses in equal size to all the illegal shit he oversees.

If we want to have an Adult discussion about these useless mouth breathers then we need to be Crystal Clear about history and our current reality.

Clapper and his entire organization is absolutely useless.
    Clapper lied and committed perjury.
Clapper did things we don’t know about.

We The People wrote him off in 2015. Nothing he says matters. Even if he supports Trump, that is no more useful than a paper mache’ kickstand on the side of a fire truck – completely useless AND a fire hazard.

The key to staying sane today is to Never Forget.

I beg to differ. The key to staying sane is to forget all this crap and then tune out the national media altogether. Something big’s afoot alright (a coup(s), apparently), but one will never figure out what it is by listening to any of this claptrap, which is expressly meant to throw us off the scent of whatever it is. And whatever it is, “we the people,” having been so successfully propagandized for all these years, damn sure don’t have the will to stop it anyway. The US’s days as a going concern are numbered.

Great point! Which is why they’ll probably choose to just politically neuter him in place rather than get rid of him altogether. Hey! A good patsy is hard to find these days! I wouldn’t doubt that this was the plan all along either, or at least a well thought out contingency.

I have a long established habit of posting the statement on places like this and others that thanks to technology “there is NO truth, there is only spin”. It is becoming more and more apparent as time goes by, the deadly virus that is technology has not only killed truth, but pretty much everything else it comes in contact with. It is quickly consuming jobs through automation and robotics. High tech has destroyed the financial systems of the world though the lifeless carcasses have yet to fall on their faces in the dirt. Morality, the family, even the ability of humans to interact successfully with one another have all been dealt fatal doses of hopelessness. Heck, the newfound abilities of making sexual organs magically change from what they started out as has even destroyed the Average Human Idiot’s abilities to figure out which Crap House to go into to drop a hot load! Technology may be successfully lining the pockets of the wealthy rulers that control the manufacture and marketing of these “advances”, but is it not apparent that no matter how much technology gives, it always TAKES far more from those who become enslaved by it?

    • beantownbill. March 10, 2017 at 11:39 am #

Walter, of course there are things to complain about, but that is because change always brings discomfort. Technology has wrought massive change, and change will accelerate. Imagine 200 years in the future when citizens reading about the 21st century become amazed there were separate bathrooms for only 2 sexes (I don’t like the multi-gender bathroom idea, either). But as Shakespeare said, there is a tide to human affairs, and you better ride the wave or you will get swamped.

Me, I just accept change, and go along for the ride – I don’t expend energy on things I have no power over, and thus am stress-free about the future. You think things are terrible – due to evolving tech now – just wait a few years and see what transpires; today will seem tranquil and placid.

      • Frankiti March 10, 2017 at 12:01 pm #

A.) People are programmed to believe things get better over time.

B.) People are programmed to bitch when they realize that things, and things they cannot control, do not get better over time.

The myth of linear “progress” is just that: a rather recently created myth. Wasn’t always and won’t always be true.

      • Walter B March 10, 2017 at 1:18 pm #

I have always understood that change happens and we either adapt, are left behind or die. Many decades ago we designed and drew machinery and systems by hand with paper and lead. It took a week to layout a typical facility. We were told that Computer Aided Design was going to come along one day and make our work MUCH easier and that we would have to learn it or go away. Of course we jumped on it as soon as it was available and while it was not “easier” at all, we could do same week’s worth of work in one day which we did. Of course from that day on we now did five times the work and at the same rate of pay to boot. Carpal Tunnel victims did not exist before this either nor did any whose vision would become impaired by the endless hours of staring into the Screens of Doom. No matter, we adapted.

Yes in one form or another we must work with technologies that come along, though sometimes I prefer to work around them and I do. In the end, if we evolve individually, we will absolutely move onto the next paradigm and drop dead. I can pretty much assure you that we will not be either needing nor taking ANY of these infernal technologies with us to the following dimension. Of course if those who believe that after death you simply lie there and rot are right, well Bingo, you will finally be free from these pesky and mostly bothersome techno-baubles as well. That’s what I call a Win-Win Scenario!

        • Janos Skorenzy March 10, 2017 at 2:11 pm #

They just released robot food delivery in a few cities – little wagons that travel on the sidewalk. Taking away jobs? Of course not! “It frees the delivery personnel to focus on long distance runs”.

What will they say when driverless cars are doing those runs? Perhaps that this will increase the number of people needed to service driverless cars? After all, that’s true by definition since they’re new. But such wordplay merely avoids the intent of the original question. The simple truth is that technology replaces people. That’s why owners like it. It’s cheaper. The excuses and rationales come after the fact.

          • Frankiti March 10, 2017 at 2:33 pm #

And who would not prefer a robot over an employee named Chet that has tobacco stained fingers and chronic back pain claims developed from weeks of carrying heavy food orders?

The American worker programmed their obsolescence.

          • Walter B March 10, 2017 at 2:51 pm #

As competition for dwindling resources intensifies, those with power will be requiring more and more of those who serve them to be as docile and as non-competitive as possible in regards to their need of the remaining resource stuff. Robots serve this need well. All that remains is a reduction in the numbers of the remainder of their human competitors to decrease the likelihood of revolt or unnecessary competition. Birth control and abortion never really panned out nor has the promotion of sexual alternativity, and disease and warfare do not seem to be stemming the tide of the population growth curve either.

I wonder if the Old money, the aristocracy, and the illuminated would ever actually resort to something large scale? Two World Wars did wonders for their power base, but recovery has overcome the accomplishment far too quickly for them, I would think. I wonder how and when?

Chet the farmer: JustUs department? Did you make that up? I laughed my ass off. It’s brilliant.

And I still have laughing jags about the Democrat loss in November.

But between the laugh-fits I do feel a bit sorry for the Democrats. Can you just imagine Nov 9? Can you imagine the shock? I mean, they all have got such a high estimation of themselves don’t you think? Did you see the blood drain from George Stephanopoulos’s face as the night of Nov 8 wore on?

Do you remember Robbie Mook on the Sunday morning talk shows before the Big Loss, smiling his serene, superb smile, as certain as can be of Victory, of his place in history of the man that made it happen?

Oops, didn’t happen. Seems that the know-nothing Trump outsmarted him.

Yeah, yeah, I know, I know, the Democrats won the popular vote. As if that’s the only thing that matters. But it’s NOT the only thing that matters. And those Democrats that have such a high idea of themselves ought to have known that. You have to win the GEOGRAPHY to win the election. Trump knew that. Even I knew that. Too bad. Took them down a notch didn’t it?

Well, that’s maybe why we see what JHK calls sedition. The Democrat loss was such a severe blow to their sense of superiority, that they tell themselves that Trump MUST have cheated. He MUST have had Russian help. It’s the only explanation. I mean, just look at it, to lose an un-lose-able election against a can’t-win opponent? Impossible.

OK, no matter if Russia-Gate is just so much bunk, Trump surely won by illegal means. And even if it wasn’t done illegally, Trump voters committed such an act of civil and electoral vandalism, an act that itself amounts to sedition, that the results MUST be overturned.

And so, there you are, the Democrat and Deep State Innuendo and Lie Crusade. And no, in this case, facts don’t matter.

Said Roman Senator Marcus Porcius Cato in all his speeches, Carthago delenda est – Carthage must be destroyed. And now say the Democrats, the same with Trump.

And when Trump is gone and exiled or worse, the Democrats will shake their heads sadly and regret most fulsomely that it was necessary.

    • SteveO March 10, 2017 at 11:58 am #

“And when Trump is gone and exiled or worse, the Democrats will shake their heads sadly and regret most fulsomely that it was necessary.”

There will be more than a few Republicans in the group too.

Actually, this kind of defeat was exactly what the Democratic party needed, and they may have to take a couple more before they learn that being not quite the same as the Republicans is not in the best interest of the people of the United States.

      • volodya March 10, 2017 at 12:14 pm #

“There will be more than a few Republicans in the group too.”

You’re absolutely right. So much of what Trump said on the campaign trail was in direct contradiction to Republican orthodoxy and in direct opposition to the interests of the Demo-Republi-crat donor class.

Some say that trump defeated TWO national parties to win the presidency, some say that Trump did a hostile takeover of the Republican party in the primary process and so it amounts to a defeat for the Republican Establishment.

No matter what we think of Trump’s inadequacies, it was an audacious scheme and one that worked. I mean, whodathunk,to appeal directly to the economic interests of a great mass of people?

The party’s caterwauling about deficits and debt is so much eyewash to blind the public. In reality, Republicans act as bellhops for corporate America and the superrich behind those corporations.”

“Smoke and mirrors to the contrary, lowering taxes on the most favored elements of society is the sole object of Republican fiscal policy. They are not serious about deficit reduction. Any serious discussion in this country about deficits and debt must proceed from that fact.”

“There doesn’t appear anywhere to go to at least catch your breath.”

I’ve heard something like that before from people alive in the run-up to WW2. They said the speed and immensity of events was overwhelming.

If you just read the history texts it appears that a lot of people hoped that there could be some kind of accommodation, that a man with Neville Chamberlain’s sure-handedness and experience and maturity could surely head things off.

But no, there was no heading things off. The momentum generated before 1914 still had to be expended and the war between Fascism and Bolshevism was the result.

The events propelling us nowadays look different in that they come from different places and peoples than the animosities animating 20th Century Europe and East Asia.

IMO, the modern wars in the middle east are the delayed aftermath of WW1 and the collapse of the Turkish Empire. That and a massive surplus of un-occupied young Arab and Muslim men.

Korea is still the unresolved spawn of Japanese conquest and defeat in WW2. Is the US of any help in this? Or are US forces in Korea and Japan just aggravating things?

In the final analysis it’s still about land and resources and making a living, at least to the average Joe. To the Oligarch it’s about self-aggrandizement and not giving a shit about what gets destroyed and who dies, as long as it’s not the Oligarch.

You could point at the enormously disruptive effects of globalization and the impoverishment of the mid-section of the US and the restlessness because of widespread unemployment of young men not only in the US but other places.

And no, Trump hasn’t been tested yet. What’s the end game in Korea? Mushroom clouds?

The billionaire class, ALONE, has the power and motivation to push for WW3. The only way to stop it is to bring it to them FIRST.

Forget the old MAD doctrine. It is clear that the billionaires believe they can ride it out. The best deterrent is to let it be known that they WILL PAY WITH THEIR LIVES for any stunt that leads to a high probability of nuclear war. Their children and relatives will ALSO PAY by losing the estate because it will be NATIONALIZED for reparations.

When billionaires are living in sheer terror for their lives, they will do whatever it takes to stop WW3. Just to save their own wicked hides.

When they’re tired of playing with us, they’ll blow up the world. BUT, they know that will be boring for them afterwards, so they won’t do that, either. OTOH, the rest of the world might decide to blow up the usa if it continues to create credible military threats to their security. Maybe just the power centers? Who’s this “we”, Tonto?

      • Janos Skorenzy March 10, 2017 at 2:43 pm #

Bullshit. Whites are the founders of America and thus the Native Americans. The Indians were just living here. We conquered them and took this land for our own. There would be no United State without the conquest. And no conquest without the Conquerors.

You owe these Men everything you have and everything that you are – your very existence that is. Keep saying it to yourself, “All that I have and all that I am.” This is your mantra – a good way to help reprogram your biocomputer. You were given some bad data and didn’t have the computing capacity to drive it out.

        • DA March 10, 2017 at 8:56 pm #

And Whites are thus no more or less legitimate than any other race, creed, or color. Although what we’re talking about here has never been merely about race or color, although that’s how it’s always marketed to the simpletons who believe in such things. It’s about class, and means, and inherited privilege, and the divine right of kings. It’s about the same things it’s ALWAYS been about: MONEY, POWER, PRESTIGE, and man’s pitiful attempts to claim IMMORTALITY through possession of those attributes.

The TRUE native Americans, at the very least, had a much more modest view of all that. Anthropologically, whites are little more than Eurasian people of color who for whatever reason were driven north, and in so doing lost their original color and compensated for that by developing somewhat expanded brainpower to compensate. Whether or not that expanded brainpower is universally a good thing remains decidedly undecided. The early returns are not encouraging.

          • Janos Skorenzy March 10, 2017 at 11:18 pm #

Yes, but you are White. Don’t try to remain an objective narrator. That makes you a traitor and your only home the lower tiers of Hell.

Just pale mutants? Like hell. We’re amazing. Join up. Become yourself.

Man evolves thru and with his group. Your spiritual Libertarianism cum Globalism is offensive. Yes! a man can grow tall enough to look over his own fence and admire his neighbors flowers. But that doesn’t mean denigrating his own. A Japanese Zen Buddhist can admire Christ for a minute. Then he gets back to his own tradition. In contrast, Liberal White Christians try to abscond and the Dalai Lama has to beat them off. Some Episcopalian Clergy took to wearing little buffalo horns instead of crucifixes – in honor of White Calf Buffalo Woman, the Virgin Mary of the Plains Indians.

Can you not see how demented this is? We deserve our own Dasein – being in and for itself. Without it, we are not even really human. Thus your Liberalism is Anti-Life, a worship of the other and not of the Transcendent that gives Life to all.

The USA, my country, is a nation of immigrants. Of people who came from the rest of the world. We are no worse than the population of the rest of the world. If we weren’t blowing people up for profit, they would be doing it. I suppose they are, but this is a complicated matter.

45 has now been tested by N. Korea, by China, and by Iran. In each case ge backed down. The whole world now knows his priority is personal profit, not national security. I am relieved 45 is not acting on his rhetoric. War is not the answer. It is better to back down. If W had backed down we would not have lost thousands of our military and five Trillion dollars, while creating hatred and making us less safe. Maybe 45 will turn that around. Early indications of 45’s reaction to provocations and threats from N. Korea, Iran, Russia, and China are good.

The Truth may be well camouflaged but, Pope Francis’ behavior betrays his lineage.

Pope Francis is NOT a legitimate Pope by his heritage and his actions. He is hostile to venerable Catholic Tradition (Council of Trent) and to Christianity itself. He is NOT a Catholic but, he is a New Leftist and a member of The Tribe before he is anything else.

Anybody who thinks that this country is being run for the benefit of it’s citizens is delusional. The average person has been bullshitted (is that a word?) into thinking that their interests are being looked after. We are pawns on the chessboard of the game that the real powers play. All of those red country people who voted for Trump are indeed the pawns, although the people who voted for Hillary are no less delusional. When will people realize that we have been gamed? Declerk, one of the fools who handed South Africa over to the Blacks, asked Mandela if he would consider granting Whites their own State. He said he would consider it. South Africa is going down by the bow, as the opposition say that Whites need to give up their land – for free. No mass killing for now though. How could anyone ever expect anything else? Mugabe has always gotten standing ovations every time he visits. And Saint Mandela was asked to renounce violence – he refused. Asked again, he refused again. To the end of his days he would sing the Kill the Boer song at tribal gatherings. Why did Whites project something else onto him? Such utter childish desperation! Obama too received much White projection. He mocked them towards the end, saying he never said he was for a color blind society.

Towards the end of the video, the future of Africa is shown: a simple Black Men weeps as his Chinese Lord berates him (and by extension all Blacks) for not maintaining what the Whites gave them.

The Boers vow to fight. Will we let them fight alone? We have much to atone for and this would be a good place to start.

    • DA March 10, 2017 at 9:34 pm #

So let me get this straight, an African nation made up naturally culturally entirely of blacks, is invaded and enslaved by white European imperialist masters, “improved” upon over many decades (for white European imperialists at least), and then gradually ceded back to the native blacks, who subsequently “failed” to live up to the expectations of their previous white European imperialist masters in delivering white imperialist outcomes to a white imperialist global economy, is somehow considered “deficient?”

Hey Janos, have you ever considered that in some alternative universe “progress” might be considered as something diametrically opposed to what you’ve proposed here? I know that you can’t yet conceive of it due to your current programming, but I know you’ve got it in you. The world’s not nearly as simple as you think it is, but no worries, I think you’re smart enough to get it anyway. We’ll work on it.

      • JimInFlorida March 10, 2017 at 9:55 pm #

Once upon a time, there WAS a Black African nation that was a fully developed kingdom.

You have to go all the way back to the Mali Empire of the 13th and 14th centuries to find a Black nation that achieved the African equivalent of a full set economy, high arts, education, exploration, comprehensive laws, religious harmony, social and political stability. It was famous and held in high regard by the Europeans, no less!

Mansa Musa was the star of the age. But, the incredible wealth went to his head. Feeling ghetto rich, he went on a huge goodwill tour and pilgrimage to Mecca. He spent money as fast as he could to show off how rich he was. The massive giveaways caused high inflation wherever he went. In the end, he spent all the wealth he brought with him and had to borrow gold from the Jewish moneylenders in Cairo at high interest to get home.

Mali was as developed as any European nation of the time and, the Giveaway Tour to Mecca (1324-1325) broke Mali’s back. It took another 16 years (four years after the death of Mansa Musa in 1337) before Mali fell into financial ruin and that brought about the necessarily stingy rule of Suleyman Keita.

Black Africa never repeated the epic achievement of 13th-14th century Mali.

Thanks for that Jim, but once again measured in white European standards. Imagine for a moment if you a will, a culture much smaller, which never aspired to live up to such standards in the first place. A local culture, where aspirations of growth and expansion were considered gross and obscene, when they were considered at all. A culture that sought “enough,” and nothing more, gladly leaving the rest for future generations and/or neighboring cultures, realizing that “all that is” was “all there is,” and that foolishly coveting “more than enough” was inherently self-defeating. Imagine such a place for just a moment if you will before calling it delusional.

          • DA March 10, 2017 at 10:46 pm #

Moreover, imagine such places proliferating and replacing the imperial global capitalist abomination that rules the world today, if just for a moment. Rest assured, if we can’t at least bring ourselves to imagine it, then it will never actually happen.

Could such a future ACTUALLY happen? Depends on us!

      • Janos Skorenzy March 10, 2017 at 11:07 pm #

Si Si, No No. Believe it or not, the big Black tribes were just moving into South Africa as the Boers moved north. They collided. The indigenous people of South Africa were the Khoi and Bushman – considered by many to be a different race.

So not only did Blacks not build South Africa, they weren’t even there. And the Blacks destroyed the Khoi they found in areas north of there. So let’s not pretend they weren’t racist. Ask me what they do to they Pygmies.

I’m hoping the Boers have a “play” in mind cuz they’re badly outnumbered. And the clueless White Cosmics thing everything is fine even after hundred of thousands of White rapes, assaults, and murders since the outbreak of the Peace. Maybe an alliance with the Zulu? As you know(!), the ANC of S.A is just the Xhosa Elite.

I agree btw. I like Science Fiction where the Federation goes to a Planet and think they’re primitive only to find out that the are very advanced and just choose to live simply. Perhaps they gave up space flight centuries ago. Or perhaps they don’t even need space ships to travel anymore – or even their bodies at all. But up to a point technical and spiritual development seem to work in tandem. But not always. The Pawnees were beginning to build Pyramids and sacrifice people. The Sioux were far more primitive but despised them as immoral and dirty.

Trump was elected in part because he promised to stop the endless and pointless neocon wars. Yet, almost immediately after his inauguration we launched a raid in Yemen and now we are more deeply involved with ground troops in Syria. Today the US announced that over 2500 troops have been moved to the front lines in the conflict. That is an example of a struggle that Trump is losing. (Unless he lied and he really does like expensive and lengthy wars.)

    • janet March 10, 2017 at 3:36 pm #

Yes, 45 is willing to take on small weak non-nuclear factions; he is not willing to fight back when provoked by strong nuclear nation states.

Iran, for example. Iranian military vessels had a close encounter with a U.S. surveillance ship on Saturday in what U.S. officials tell CBS News was both an “unsafe” and “unprofessional” maneuver by the Iranians in the strategic Strait of Hormuz. The “unsafe” encounter came just two days after an Iranian navy frigate came within 150 yards of the Invincible in the Gulf of Oman, just south of the Strait of Hormuz. In spite of what 45 said during his campaign about “blowing them out of the water” he has done nothing but issue a “warning” … seems like drawing a red line. But that is better than being trigger happy and starting a war with Iran… which I believe the US would lose.

Take another example, China. 45’s recent exchange with President Xi Jinping in which 45 reversed himself and agreed to uphold the longstanding One China policy makes one thing painfully clear: the essential weakness of 45’s character.

Like all bullies, he’s perfectly equipped to bluster and threaten, cheat and lie, so long as his intended victim is “weaker” than he is. Think of the contractors and architects he’s stiffed, the women he’s groped, the students at Trump University he’s conned, the refugees from a war-torn world he’s targeted — the list goes on and on.

But when he tries to bully someone smarter, stronger, meaner and more ruthless, and with actual experience in the rough and tumble world of international relations, he folds like a cheap tent.

      • DA March 10, 2017 at 10:59 pm #

        janet,

Ever actually been to Iran or met an Iranian on their home turf? How about China? Do you actually know ANYTHING other than what you’ve gathered from the US MSM and their proxies?

How about you just admit that you’re like the rest of us: fed shit all day long everyday and just instinctively reacting to whatever crap springs to your impoverished mind?

There are no “bullies” and there are no “victims” that don’t choose to be, and when it comes to the US with regard to foreign policy, we’re about to see those two terms collide and become one. Having been the consummate bully for the past 100+ years or so, we’re about to experience victimhood in a MAJOR way. And it’s going to be a bitch. Karma, or something like that.

Not so much that he lied but that the deep state faction which selected him has a broader agenda to which he quite eagerly and quickly acquiesced. His campaign speak was only ever intended to rouse a constituency that surely would have purchased his Trump steaks and subscribed to his Trump News channel on YouBoob, once he properly self-torpedoed his campaign under the somewhat legit premise that media elites didn’t love him; but, he got stupid lucky that HRC’s venality caught up with her during that successful deep state counter-coup in his behalf late October. But shhhh, CFN’s Talking Dead are still basking in the faux glory of a mythical People’s Win against the establishment. Whitney writes,

“It’s funny how an election can change the way a man sees the world. Before the election, Donald Trump thought that stocks were dangerously inflated. In an interview on CNBC, he said “I hope I’m wrong, but I think we’re in a big, fat, juicy bubble.”

That was Candidate Trump. President Trump sees things differently. Here’s what he tweeted on Tuesday:

“Since November 8th, Election Day, the Stock Market has posted $3.2 trillion in GAINS and consumer confidence is at a 15 year high.” — http://www.unz.com/mwhitney/trump-flip-flops-on-bubblemaking/

See, the bugaboo about apocalypse come 15 March doesn’t fit the smarter idea that deep-statists are looking toward 2018 mid-terms already, but the bloglodytes will catch on soon enough.

Glad that someone else notices what’s afoot with the West’s war escalation in Syria, too. Beside the following article, I’ve found little about Syria in either alt-or-legacy media to speak of, however, we already know whose leadership now masterminds U.S. foreign policy post-Flynn:

“The appointment of McMaster is an attempt by Trump to placate his enemies in the Intel agencies and foreign policy establishment. Trump is signaling to his adversaries that he will cooperate in carrying out their strategic agenda provided they allow him to finish his term. Trump doesn’t want to end up like Flynn nor does he want to do battle with the all-powerful deep state operatives who can launch one demeaning propaganda blitz after the other followed by years of excruciating investigations leading inevitably to a lengthy and humiliating impeachment that leaves Trump a broken, discredited shambles. That’s not how Trump wants to end his career in politics.” –M. Whitney http://www.unz.com/mwhitney/mcmaster-takes-charge-trump-relinquishes-control-of-foreign-policy/

I suspect that near the end of his first (only?) term he will look for a way to remove Booger Bannon’s frontal lobe transplant from his dome and replace it with Ivanka’s/Jared’s. That branding strategy works much better for him with regard to making his presidency “feel better” to a more viable cross section of voters which he’ll need to stay in office down the line. The Old Glory sentimentalists won’t cut it come re-election time. Hell, these romantic farts are really already ghosts as it is.

In a late breaking development, CNN reports that a skid mark has been discovered in President Trump’s underwear.
Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has called for an immediate investigation. “The American people deserve to know how long this skid mark has been there, who knew about it, where did it come from, and to what extent were the Russians involved?”
Congress-person Nancy Pelosi added that she’s looking into whether the skid mark constitutes grounds for impeachment. Furthermore, the Democratic congressional women (whom Pelosi now requires to wear white at all times) have been certified as “skid mark free”.

But, for all intents and purposes Trump has given his covert backers all that they’ve demanded, plus with the potential repeal of the 40% “Cadillac Tax” and thanks to some brittle social/fiscal conservative policy bones tossed to the Old Yellers loyal to the isolationist imagery they were sold, he’s positioned himself initially well with the wealthy establishment and status quo voters for mid-terms. Yes, it’s too early to call. But things are looking good so far.

Uh, maybe look at the evidence instead of being an apologist for Russia, a country that has committed serious war crimes and human rights violations across the globe. 45’s administration has continued and close ties to Russia; it is not what Russia did to interfere in the 2016 U.S. elections, it is an ongoing operation as 2,820 Alfa bank corporate server secretive lookups with theTrump Organization indicate. Why would a Russian bank be responsible for 80% of all lookups to the DNS address for the Trump server?

Putin is a dictator and for years now, the Kremlin has looked for ways to disrupt democracies, to help the people that they like to come to power and to undermine the credibility of the democratic process. Germany’s domestic security agency DfV announced that there was growing evidence that Russians were attempting to influence the upcoming September 2017 federal election.

45 has surrounded himself with people who do business with and are sympathetic to Russia. Members of 45’s 2016 campaign and 45’s associates had frequent contact with senior Russian intelligence officials throughout the campaign. It is not normal for the leader of our country to be so extensively tied to a foreign government that has sought to undermine democracies across the globe.

Russia is not our friend. Why do you refuse to believe Russian interference is happening in the USA? The mainstream media has got this story right and more evidence is piling up by the day. This will not go away by criticizing NYT and NPR. It will only go away after 45 is impeached and removed from office.

LOL! Even though you are mistaken, now I am beginning to enjoy your confusion. You seem to think, as Asoka used to say, that I am large and contain multitudes. Perhaps I am also Frankiti… or Cold… or, looking into the CFN archives, Cash or Spidey or messianicdruid or wagelaborer, or any number of others who have appeared, disappeared, or sporadically continue to appear, on CFN. Except my content and my post frequency does not correspond with theirs or yours. You appear to be a strong believer in reincarnation!

Don’t worry janet. I know who you are, even though you’ve used a couple of other aliases here on CFN. The only thing I don’t know is which college you teach in. If it isn’t Bryn Mawr or Mount Holyoke, it is some hellhole that smells like them. UC Davis? Oberlin? Spill it out janet / wpa!!!

I worry more about the hordes of brainwashed students who’ve been through your reptilian hands. I shudder to think of the frothing rabid feminazis who are your GTA’s!

The power of Andrea Dworkin compels you! Her eyes follow you around your office and her ears hear everything in the faculty lounge!

          • Janos Skorenzy March 10, 2017 at 7:42 pm #

You should know, Jim: One fine day or evening, Kdog was, for whatever reason, fooling around with parameters (if that is the right word) of this website which told where each poster was from and his whatsamacallit number. Asoka’s came up as the Department of Defense in Atlanta.

The Asoka Entity furiously resisted, but before disappearing, accepted he had been made and interacted with us for about two weeks as what he really was. He disappeared only to return as other characters, but impossible to prove since the parameters or specs of the site became unavailable.

          • JimInFlorida March 10, 2017 at 10:14 pm #

I didn’t know that! That was before I found you fighting the good fight and I jumped in to help.

It makes perfect sense that a Federal troll is working this forum. The insane positions of janet-wpa could only come from a government psy-op stooge.

Still, my assertion that janet-wpa_ccc is a tenured Jewish female professor, who teaches Women’s Studies at some counter-culture hellhole of a college, is more for my entertainment than something I truly believe.

      • hmuller March 10, 2017 at 5:26 pm #

When the Russian’s come visit the Podesta’s to drop off the bags of money, are they offered any “pizza”? I wonder.

I also wonder whom Janet places in her “Hall of Hero’s”.

Now, she’s portraying the streets piled high with the rotted cadavers of those killed by Trump’s health care neglect. (Wow, that was quick).

What a drama queen. It sounds like Janet is with the College Political Police Patrol. I can picture her telling some meterosexual wimpy white guy he’s not allowed to wear his hair in cornrows; he’s “plundering a culture not his own. Yadda, yadda, I’m the boss.” Yes, Janet.

        • janet March 10, 2017 at 6:19 pm #

I also wonder whom Janet places in her “Hall of Hero’s”

I was fairly clear that my candidate of choice was Sanders, and he seems to be running for 2020 already.

Since January, Bernie has stopped in Mississippi, Kansas and Michigan. Early next week, he’s heading to one of the poorest counties in America, McDowell County, West Virginia, which Trump carried by a ratio of 3-to-1. Sanders views these enclaves as critical for the future of the Democratic Party and, by extension, the country. They are, he argues, the places where Democrats have shown “an enormous amount of neglect.”

“The truth is, and I think anyone who objectively assesses the situation has to appreciate, that the model the Democrats have followed for the last 10 to 20 years has been an ultimate failure,” Sanders said.

That’s basically my position also. Oh, and Andrea Dworkin! LOL!

          • hmuller March 11, 2017 at 3:51 pm #

Socialism isn’t my cup of tea, but if you’re going that way you need someone stronger than Bernie Sanders. The way he meekly rolled over for Hillary and her Wall Street handlers – shameful. What would comrade Lenin say?

And it didn’t seem to bother him how the primary process was rigged against him. Maybe he never intended to win?

I read somewhere that Bernie got kicked out of a farm commune in the sixties because he was all talk and no action. Some things never change. LOL

Finally, if you want to win West Virginia, Dems need to quit talking above killing the coal industry and snickering about the redneck “deplorables”. These people know when they’re being jerked around, patronized, and despised.

“Why do working-class Bush voters tend to resent intellectuals more than they do the rich?” David Graeber asked in 2007. “It seems to me the answer is simple. They can imagine a scenario in which they might become rich but cannot possibly imagine one in which they, or any of their children, would become members of the intelligentsia.”

For if you’re not a part of the intelligentsia, well, how can you possibly make the world better for your existence in it? This frustration, however, is precisely what makes perfectly decent people, whose only sin is that a self-arrogated cognitive elite doesn’t consider them particularly useful, such easy pickings for political con men who assure them that they’re actually the smart ones. And that, all in all, is not very smart.

More broken promises for 45. He has “walked back” and “backed down” on so much of what he said during the campaign. Here are two:

    OPIOID ADDICTION
The health bill Republicans are trying to pass today, to replace Obamacare, would cut a mental-health and addiction treatment mandate covering 1.3 million Americans — counter to a Trump promise to expand treatment. So much for 45’s promise to combat the opioid epidemic among poor white (rural and suburban) middle class. The number of people dying from opiate overdoses is skyrocketing nationwide.

Wasn’t it just a week ago when 45 said in his speech to Congress, “Our terrible drug epidemic will slow down and ultimately stop” saying that he would “expand treatment for those who have become so badly addicted.” Oh, what a difference a week makes!

    MEDICAID
Last year 45 said: “I’m not going to cut Social Security like every other Republican, and I’m not going to cut Medicare or Medicaid.”

Now the Trump White House is negotiating to roll back the Medicaid expansion earlier (an earlier sunset date) to please conservatives — counter to Trump’s promise to leave Medicaid alone. So much for helping poor (rural and suburban) lower-class whites who qualify for Medicaid. Let them die in the streets.

45-elect touted his own health care legislation as a “great” and cheaper alternative to ObamaCare on Wednesday, assuring that “nobody is going to be dying on the streets” when he takes over the Oval Office. (January 18, 2017) Oh, what a difference two months make!

    • windward March 11, 2017 at 12:03 am #

I don’t know what Janet believes about the right-wing claim that Social Security is bankrupting the nation. I do know and believe what Bernie Sanders and Dean Baker and many other responsible people tell us, that Social Security has never added so much as one red cent to the deficit. By law it cannot.

Promising not to cut Social Security is just a cheap way to get the votes of us old folks. The dishonesty of this promise is staggering. Social Security is not a government welfare program. Cutting it would have no effect on the deficit. The President couldn’t cut it anyway. That would require a change in the law, and that effort would be a fight that would never end.

And rightly so, because the right-wing bullies [but I repeat myself] are waging war against Social Security with vicious lies, because they have nothing else. They are driven by insatiable greed. They are sociopaths.

JOBS REPORT SHOWS TRUMP IS A SUCCESS! (NOT!)

Republicans were quick to tout Friday’s job report showing the U.S. economy added 235,000 jobs in February, but it’s worth looking at how they responded to similar good economic news under President Barack Obama.

Friday’s jobs report, which showed unemployment at 4.7 percent, signals that the U.S. economy is moving in the right direction. But during the Obama administration there were 77 consecutive months of job growth. When good job numbers came out under the Obama administration, Trump and other Republicans would undermine them, suggesting that the numbers did not reflect an accurate picture of the American economy.

Now they are embracing the same BLS data they rejected during the Obama years. Something to do with melatonin?

Excellent talk from Kevin Lister (Part Two), offering a somewhat longer view of consequences to generational avarice and the late cultural reversion to ignorance, leaving younger folks holding the bag as the long emergency drags out.

Takeaways and things to watch these coming 4-8 years:
Climate shift blows past the 2-degree Celsius mark into +3C territory. Atmospheric C02 breaches the 450 ppm mark. This is inevitable not just possible, but physical reality can and is ignored by the vast public, and, oddly this might conduce to political and societal stability in the short-term, at least in the U.S.

On the other hand, Nation states will more likely pull out of those silly climate accords as all peoples begin to take aim at one another(civilly and internationally), seeking self-preservation through brutality, seeking to wall off livable regions of the planet presently occupied, or moving to blast the hell out of competitors boldly, perhaps frantically scrambling to latitudes still fit for survival. He touches on this idea and many more.

Just the opposite is happening… globalization is irreversible. Through the proverbial shrinking of the world, countries and cultures are coming together in international agreements like those “silly climate accords”.

As for your claim of “brutality” the evidence says otherwise. Peace just broke out in the entire Western Hemisphere, where no wars rage today. The last shooting war in that entire western half of the world—between the FARC rebels and the government of Colombia in South America—has now come to a close. For the first time ever, one entire half of the Earth is at peace.

I read a good, perceptive book many years ago which discussed differences in worldview of different American generations. I think that the book was entitled “Generation X”. I’m “Generation X”. The book’s characterization of my outlook was rather apt—“Anxious, cynical, and a propensity to save money and live frugally; ideal existence—living out of a suitcase.” I suspect that future generations will not view the profligate, morally bankrupt Baby Boomer generation kindly?

          • windward March 11, 2017 at 12:35 am #

The Baby Boomers invented the smart phone so that the following generations would become addicted to it and forget history in their obsession with the number of likes they get on facebook. Some of them get hit by a train while checking it out.

Paraphrasing Samuel Johnson, I will not try to settle the proportion of iniquity between the generations, except to say that they are all morally bankrupt.

So why would US Intel hack the DNC and Podesta to make Clinton look bad? So Trump could be at odds with them after they helped him win? Jim’s theory makes no sense. Or they did it because they didn’t care who won, they just wanted to blame it on Putin to make Russia look bad? Considering how much Putin hated Clinton and vice versa, it seems more plausible that Russian actors, not US Intel acted in carrying out the hacks.

Regarding “credibility” and “being right” posted above can we all agree that it’s not all that easy to “be right” and that often becomming “more right” requires a tossing a lot of “not right’s” at the wall of comparison.

IOW, until there is something to compare against–right or wrong, but probably wrong in the beginning–there is simply no grit on the ground to garner traction on the slipppery slopes of decontexulization. But, even in “context” one color or one issue can look vastly different depending on the surrounding context.

For instance, scroll down to “A Color Has Many Faces–The Relativity of Color” and see that the same ochre color looks very different depending on the surrounding colors. But at first glance, nearly ever pair of human eyes would confidenetly declare they were two different colors when in fact it is the same color ( Josef Albers put together many amazing color tutorials) :

    Jim,

This is the clearest thing you have written for a while. Bravo.

I know an old Vietnam Vet, most people see him in Seattle waving a big POW MIA flag along with an American flag atop a 22 foot polished wood flagpole on top of an I-405 overpass. He does this at random intervals. It so happens he hangs out at a coffee shop I haunt at random intervals. One day I was talking to him about what I had been experiencing and his eyes lit up. He said: YOU KNOW. He had similar experiences to mine when he tried to walk to Washington DC. He only made it as far as Idaho. He lost a wife over that one.

    So Jim, YOU KNOW!

Americans have been brainwashed to hate Russia all our lives. The childhood memories are very persistent in the ones who are wiped clean. Hate Russia, Russia bad. Putin evil. The result of this is that the stupid Russian story still swings weight. Yet it is still possible in spite of the fabrication that Trump owes Russia money. I’d not put it past him.

    Yet:

“US Intel agencies have acquired the ability to spoof any activity on any sort of computer or program that makes it impossible to track the identity of any hacker and, what’s more, gives US Intel a tool to make any party appear culpable for any given case of hacking — meaning that if so called computer hacking “footprints” had been discovered linking Russia to the Hillary-DNC-Podesta emails, those footprints could have been engineered by US Intel itself… meaning further that any so-called “evidence” of Russian election hacking could not be proven one way or the other.”

They can make people and they can ruin people. They have the power and they use it.

As a side effect of the Russian Hooey I enjoyed watching a documentary on Catherine the Great last night.

“Americans have been brainwashed to hate Russia all our lives.”

      **********************

Yeah but its all for nought if you know some personally.

What I like and appriciate about them is their recognition of “Americanness.” As a black person I always thought white people were the “real” Americans, and black people were some kind of auxilary grab bag wannabes…

But Russians, in a way, see Americans as part negro (LOL); I guess because they see the black influence in white people?

I had to explain to a Russian woman that Lawrence Fishburne is an “African American.” (She saw him in The Matrix)

I think another connection to black people is the way their language lacks a lot of articles; which leads to a more direct communication. This Russian girl said “Americans use flowerly language to trick/confuse you.” (she was talking about white Americans)

I understood what she meant because when she spoke English, she got the tenses right, but left out the articles because they don’t use them in Russian.

My introduction to anti semitism was while living with a Ukrainian friend of mine whose mom was 80 years old. She would tag Jews on tee-eve and say

“he is Jew! He is Jew!!!!”

I think she assumed I knew what she meant?

Let me pinch this off by saying; there is no valid reason for Christian countries to go to war against each other.

The entire “Russian hacking” crap is pure theater.

Hillary got high on her own supply; and got knocked the fuck out by Trump.

True. How can Whites speak about race when we are forbidden to know ourselves? Let alone speak of “White” as a positive thing. We are forced to forget all of the social and cultural habits that was once taken for granted.

What we ARE ALLOWED to have are frivolous and pathetic memes that The-Tribe-That-Shall-Not-Be-Named has given us.

Brown and Blacks are ENCOURAGED to know and proclaim their identity. AND Whites are REQUIRED to give favorable acknowledgement.

That last sentence is ALL we are allowed to know about race.

A barbaric “Yawp” back at ya. It’s reverse evolution. Just as our National Anthem evolved from an English drinking song. This song has gotten around: Mr Kunstler is a folk musician and in one of his World Made by Hand novels his character (himself?) quoted the lyric “possum on a gum tree, coony on a stump.” So these Northern Liberal Folkies are playing it too, unaware of its unspeakably Evil roots.”

I love South Carolina String Band. Lots of great oldies played the old way – and with spirit.

It seems to me that some posters are having a hard time “perceiving” a certain issue. Indeed, they keep looking in the rear view mirror of the election and claiming that all the Russia hype is a cover/explanation for the Democratic Party loss in November.

In a nutshell, that is all backward thinking/perceiving. As I see it, the Russia hype is all about going forward and preventing the lifting of sanctions etc.

Now that Team Trump has been painted in a bad light with the Russian hype, any reaching out in the future will be met and perceived as validation/ confirnation of Team Trump collusion with Russia in the past. And apparently( or perhaps the correct word is, “possibly” as in speculation) some PTB don’t want good relations with Russia.

    See how it works?

But then again, my aforementioned speculation is just “one hue” surrounded by a certain pair of enveloping colors/speculation. Change those–the world is comprised of many colors after all–and it all looks very different.

Bottom line: I don’t know shit, next to nothing, in fact. And if knowledge is in fact, “infinite” then, next to nothing is absolutely, nothing at all.

    • K-Dog March 11, 2017 at 12:22 am #

But if Trump were smart he could flip it to his advantage. It would not be hard to do. If he were smart.

      • Janos Skorenzy March 11, 2017 at 1:16 am #

Huh? He has. The media ITSELF has admitted they have nothing. And thus their commitment to keep up the “investigation” has been seen as what it is – harassment and smearing. More – an attempt to hide their overwhelming guilt. They THEMSELVES have already admitted to wiretapping and endless spying on Trump. This is on top of the rest of Deep State crimes and scandals.

” whats wrong with that? ”

    Nothing .

Russians have been hanging out in Washington’s smoke-filled rooms

( when they were smoke-filled rooms . before you turned into atheists who are going to live forever……..err…..somehow that just doesn’t sound right….. )

    since, I dunno , 1830 ?

RIGHT FROM THE START , that is, PRE-JUDGED ,

I am disinclined to take Russian interference seriously.

    Period.

Near as I am able to tell, I tend generally to be skeptical of narratives that seem to describe humans as puppets , or as perpetual children. ( Except in relation to God. )

Since you American Jacobins love your psychologizing, I suppose it comes from the fact that when I was an abused ten year old, people were crying buckets over abused ten year olds, except they couldn’t even be bothered to send a 50 cent card .
Fast forward near 60 years and—– well ! — how convenient ! —, now they don’t have to cry buckets over that ten year old.
    ( And I still haven’t gotten the 50 cent card. )

It appeared to me when I was ten years old that the crying over ten year olds is a confidence scheme to screw over adults.

And that is what the ten year old, now ancient hag, still thinks.

I think Abraham Lincoln was a total scumbag, but I think he was right when he said the only real threat to America was Americans.

    • K-Dog March 11, 2017 at 12:31 am #

1830 is too early, the next documentary will cover what was happening then. 1830 is almost as far back as the Decembrist uprising in time. Russia would have been turned inward and “The Great Game” could not have but hardly begun.

Having defeated Napoleon Russian Nobility would discover that the only real threat to their power were Russians.

“Last Thursday, White House press secretary Sean Spicer warned the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office couldn’t trusted to come up with accurate numbers about the costs and coverage of the Republican’s replacement for the Affordable Care Act.

“If you’re looking at the CBO for accuracy, you’re looking in the wrong place,” he said.

Bear in mind the director of the CBO is a Republican economist and former George W. Bush administration official who was chosen for his position by the Republican Congress in 2015.

Attacking the credibility of an institution that delivers unwelcome data has a long-term cost: It undermines the capacity of that institution to function in the future.

For more than four decades the U.S. budget process has depended on the CBO’s analyses and forecasts. Under both Republican and Democratic appointees, it’s gained a reputation for honesty. The trumped-up attack will make it less able to do its work in the future.

    This has been Trump’s MO.

When as a candidate Trump didn’t like the positive jobs numbers emanating from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, what did he do? He called the official unemployment rate “such a phony number,” “one of the biggest hoaxes in American modern politics” and “the biggest joke there is.”

It’s possible to take issue with the ways the Bureau of Labor Statistics measures unemployment, but why undermine public trust in the Bureau itself?” –Robert Reich

MEET THE NEW BOSS; WORSE THAN THE OLD BOSS

45 is not at war with the system: 45 is the system. Just look at his cabinet picks:

Steven Mnuchin, 45’s appointee for the Treasury Department, is a former Goldman Sachs partner. He is also known as a foreclosure king, having foreclosed on over 36,000 California mortgages.

Gary Cohen, the president and COO of Goldman Sachs, is 45’s selection to head the Council of Economics Advisers.

Steve Bannon, 45’s closest adviser, is a past Goldman Sachs VP.

Wilbur Ross, 45’s Commerce choice, is known for his holdings in the Bank of Cyprus, which is reportedly a favorite bank for money laundering by Russian oligarchs.

To make Wall Street and the big banks happy, 45 has begun the roll back of Dodd-Frank regulations.

45 is proposing an additional $55 billion in defense expenditures to be paid for by cuts to programs like Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, education, food stamps, etc.

45 has sided with polluters and is rolling back clean water and other environmental protections. His EPA pick has made a career of suing the EPA for big oil.

45’s pick for education is a billionaire with no public school experience and is a champion for causes detrimental to public education.

All those working people who voted for 45 were conned with 45’s rhetoric, and his lies, into wasting their votes. We would be better off with HRC. We would have been much better off with President Sanders.

Never before in the history of our country has a National Security Advisor been fired after only 24 days in office, until 45 fired Flynn.

The reason given is that General Flynn had contact with the Russian government during the transition, and he lied about it. He was taped on a recorded phone call and there are transcripts, even though Flynn lied. Routine surveillance does not include Americans. If it was done using a FISA warrant an American would be “minimized” … so why do we have access to what Flynn and a Russian official were talking about?

And what about the timing of the firing? Flynn had multiple communications with Russian officials, which he continued beyond the campaign, into the transition and then after the transition. Mike Pence said General Flynn was not talking about the US decision to expel diplomats or anything related to sanctions. Pence was either lying or he thought he was telling the truth and was repeating Flynn’s lies.

Sally Yeats of DOJ took the information to the White House and explained the Flynn did talk to the Russians because she had the transcripts of recorded calls of Flynn talking about sanctions. The White House did nothing.

The White House knew about Flynn lying for three weeks and did nothing, until the evil mainstream media made it public. Then the White House was suddenly “outraged” because Pence had been lied to. Why did it happen that way? Why did they stick with Flynn for three weeks doing nothing, keeping Flynn as NSA, even after learning the truth about Flynn three weeks earlier.

Why was Flynn taking money from the Russians? Why was Flynn on the payroll of another foreign government while he was on the Trump campaign, while he was working on the Trump transition? It was widely and publicly known that Flynn was lobbying for Turkey, on the Turkish payroll, while advising Trump. Now the White House says Trump “had no idea” that Flynn was a foreign agent working for a foreign government while he was working for Trump.

Except that Representative Elijah Cummings had written a formal notification from Congress to alert Trump that Flynn was a foreign agent on the payroll of a foreign government, and should register as a foreign agent. Mike Pence was the head of the transition. Even if Flynn didn’t lie to Pence, Flynn would have needed to be fired.

Now Pence is lying on Fox News that all this is new to him. It is impossible that today is the first time he heard about Flynn being a foreign agent on a foreign government payroll. Pence was the head of the transition when lawyers went to Pence and alerted him that Flynn needed to register as a foreign. Flynn was receiving and delivering daily intelligence briefing while he was working as a foreign agent.

The story about why he was hired didn’t make sense. The story of his firing didn’t make sense. Why can’t they just tell the truth about happened? If they are going to blame Flynn, their story has to make sense. Meanwhile, Flynn is lawyering up, and retroactively registering as a foreign agent.

There is more to this story than Trump/Pence are admitting. And the truth will come out.

Jim, your final two sentences are rubbish. Sorry about that.

Government debt is corporate welfare, the part held on behalf of investors. The other part is Intragovernmental loans etc,[ between different arms of the government, its day to day operations]. Not a cent of these sums have to be repaid from outside. To believe that is to believe a myth. But that’s OK. Economics today is a massive myth making machine, completely divorced from reality. No the truth will not come out, but I bet there will be some bullshit stories for each side of the dichotomy to use to soothe their fevered brow.

Ever since the errand boy for the MIC, Allen Dulles, delivered the offer that could not be refused to Mr. Truman the truth has been missing in action.

After sixty years of searching and being engaged in the search for the truth about our nation all I have are some things that I know to be completely false. I can not say one thing about the operation of our government that I know to be unconditionally true. I also know that if I was any good at this protest business I would not be here to be typing these thoughts on this blog.

Never fails to amaze what people will do for a salary. But you know the famous saying, do not enter the yellow box unless your exit is clear.

The issue for such people is this, is their exit clear?

See, Mr Ozone, I see the Deep State as a cancer and, like all cancers, they will kill their host, in this case the body politic. Once it dies, the arterial systems that the Deep State created to divert money and resources from the body politic and that sustained the Deep State will disassemble and the Deep State itself disassembles.

Nothing is forever Mr Ozone, the forces of entropy encroach unrelentingly. Rome calls itself the Eternal City but it isn’t. There was a time before Rome and there will be a time after Rome. Whether the denizens of the Manhattan-Washington Axis like it or not their time and the time of the Deep State that safeguards them, is drawing to a close.

Kesa Ana sez she’s disinclined to take Russian interference in the election seriously. Me too. As JHK sez, it just sounds like excuse making by Democrats who can’t believe they got outsmarted by Trump.

And it’s a transparent attempt to invalidate the election results. Like building a house, brick by brick, they build a case that Trump’s win was not legitimate, that it therefore cannot stand, that on moral grounds the Trump win was unacceptable and so it MUST not stand. After all they say, Trump is a pussy-grabbing misogynist, a racist, a white supremacist, a fascist. It’s self-evident that such a man cannot be President.

It matters not a whit if the case they build is bogus. It doesn’t matter if it’s based on solid fact or not or based on intelligence community assertions which are thus far a big fat nothing. As Crapper himself sez, there’s no “there” there.

Facts don’t matter. With the smoke they generate, with the press and Hollywood and late-night talk show hosts and Saturday Night Live having a field day and academic opinion on their side, they hope to build a popular insurgency, just like in Eastern Europe in the 1980s, and in the face of overwhelming popular opposition, with the chanting crowds in the streets, the regime folds. Or so they hope.

But as far as foreign interference in US politics goes, what about the Israelis? Given the internationalized nature of corporate interests, who’s to say where the money’s coming from, whose interests this money is speaking for, or whether there’s Chinese interests in the mix? Or Russian for that matter. You think globalization is good? You tout open borders? You talk “American interests”? It works both ways. Foreigners have their own interests.

The foreign bogeyman is just a tool. The ends justify the means to the antiTrumpists. By hook or by crook they mean to unseat Trump and overturn the election. But they ought to beware once the precedent is set. Sow the wind, reap the whirlwind.

Haven’t watched legacy media in a bit, but a slow trickle of news about the recent U.S. military build up/invasion of sovereign Syria has begun in the alt-mediaverse: http://ronpaulinstitute.org/archives/peace-and-prosperity/2017/march/08/trump-invades-syria/

Warren G. Pollock also pops up now and again with an underdeveloped thesis that Russia and the U.S. may form an alliance in a future ground war against China… last video I saw of him indicated to me that he may be suffering from some sort of mental health issues. His brilliantly creative mind appears more and more fragmented as time marches on.

Anyhow, Russia’s response to the U.S. escalation in Syria is worth monitoring, so is Iran’s.

“in a future ground war against China” –Flavian

Get real. Ground wars and infantry are dead. Now wars are waged through clandestine operations using small elite groups of special forces combined with targeted drone strikes. The days of massive invasions using ground forces are over. The military branches will never be used and are a waste of taxpayer money.

Warren G. Pollock also pops up now and again with an underdeveloped thesis that Russia and the U.S. may form an alliance in a future ground war against China

You wish. Not if Putin will get out of his freaking mind. Old Russian saying goes: the only worse thing than the Anglo Saxon enemy is the Anglo Saxon friend.

Once it worked in the 70s – turned China against Russia, thanks to Khrushchev and his de-Stalinization process, now Americans want to do it in reverse – turn Russia against China.

Incidentally, our old friend Zbignev “the Grand Chessboard” Bzhezinsky, appears to spearhead the Trump’s policy in this respect.

Instead, I’d rather be talking G3 – US – Russia – China, with the leading Russian role as mediator.

This from CFN’s own knockoff Orlov.

Make up your mind about which cockamamie story you wanna tell already.

        Instead, this from Pepe recently:

“When still on the job as National Security Adviser, Flynn, on the record, had already put Iran “on notice”. That was, for all practical purposes, a virtual declaration of war. “X” expands on the ramifications: “Turkey is the key here, and Turkey wants a deal with Iran. The key danger to NATO is Turkey, as it does not control Serbia, and Turkey-Serbia undermines Romania and Bulgaria in an outflanking maneuver to the southern-southeastern part of NATO. Serbia linked to Russia in WWI and Turkey linked with Germany. Tito linked with Russia in WWII and Turkey was neutral. If Turkey, Serbia, Russia link together, NATO is outflanked. Russia is linked to Iran. Turkey is linking to Russia and Iran after what Erdogan perceives was a failed CIA coup attempt against him. All this was way beyond the capacity of Flynn to handle.”

“X” maintains that the Obama administration opening towards Iran, which led to the nuclear deal, was essentially a tactic to undermine Russia’s Gazprom – assuming an Iran-Iraq gas pipeline would be built all the way to Turkey and then connected to EU markets.

Yet this major Pipelineistan gambit would have needed major investment and years to be completed. In parallel, from the start, Tehran increased its energy sales to Eurasian neighbors and especially China. The end result could only have been the ratcheting up of US-Iran “tension”. Flynn may have indeed been “out of his depth”, as “X” defined it, on how to deal with the hyper-complex Southwest Asia chessboard.

“X”, against a virtual Beltway consensus, insists, “the rapprochement to Russia was not dependent on Flynn. It is dependent on those who supervise Trump, and they put him in there for the purpose of shifting towards Russia. The deep state conflict is irrelevant. These are pros who know how and when to change policy. They have the goods on anyone who is in a high position and can destroy them at will. Flynn was in their way and now he is out.”

“X” reveals once again what makes the Pentagon squirm as far as Russia is concerned: “Russia is not an economic threat to the US. Its manufacturing base is centered on military production. the rapprochement to Russia was not dependent on Flynn. It is dependent on those who supervise Trump, and they put him in there for the purpose of shifting towards Russia. The deep state conflict is irrelevant.

Somebody finally gets it: Russia is not an adversary, Russia is a prize.

But you’re not going to get it by having Russia betraying its principles.

    RYAN’S HYPOCRISY ON HEALTH CARE

Ryan does not want to do battle in the marketplace of ideas when it comes to Obamacare’s supposed replacement. Instead, he’s pre-emptively dismissing the CBO report on Ryan’s plan ahead of the arrival of the CBO score. He is trying to ram his vision down his colleagues’ throats.

Ryan’s actions on the “replacement” are a stark contrast to how he behaved when the Affordable Care Act was Congress’ going concern. Back then, he demanded that the CBO score the bill ahead of committee markups.

Ryan doesn’t particularly want to delve down into any of the details of his plan beyond those that he proffers himself. This isn’t in any way a new thing with Ryan, either.

President Trump had long argued that there had been no Russian attacks.

And he accused American intelligence agencies that they allow leakage of classified information. The expert in the field of cybersecurity James Lewis from the American Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) believes that a new injection of Wikileaks will help Trump in his fight against his own special services.

And in fact: after this document dump, there was widespread speculation that Barack Obama (read Hillary Clinton taking over the White House in June 2106) was behind the scandal with “Russian hackers”. And the other day Trump directly accused previous administration that it had wired his headquarters in the “Trump Tower.” The intrigue is ripening.

In all this history there is an inner logic. Someone who is very far-sighted gives time to public opinion to unfold in a new direction, where there is more and more doubt about the legitimate nature of CIA activities. There is a growing debate that the American computer security system is not facing the problems that are being screamed about. It turns out that in this area the culprits are not Russians, but their own special services.

In the air is anticipation of a new document dump from the WikiLeaks on the topic of wiretapping of the Trump’s headquarters. It is difficult to even imagine the possible political consequences of such revelations. By its explosive power, it can be equal to Watergate.

Big crash a comin’ … worse than 1987. Move to a cash position.

Get out of precious metals. Gold and silver goin’ down. Lead worthless.

Best strategy is to have land, no debts, six months cash on hand, a garden, friends, a supportive community, and a spiritual practice.

Big crash due to two events: March 15: debt ceiling holiday ends. March 15: Fed raises interest rates.

“Although Congress has raised the debt ceiling over 70 times in the past, Mr. Stockman (former OMB Director under Reagan) believes they won’t be able to raise it this time because the current deal gives the President authority to allocate spending in the event that no new spending agreement is reached. That gives President Trump bargaining power his predecessors have not had, which increases the likelihood of a government shutdown.

He further predicts the debt ceiling crisis will derail President Trump’s plans to repeal Obamacare, cut taxes, and provide an infrastructure stimulus. He expects that will negatively impact financial markets, causing the current bullish optimism to “dissipate very quickly.”

If you have been heeding JHK, you’ll be OK. Good luck!

You forgot #3: the Dutch election is on March 15 and the right-winger, anti-Islam and anti-European Union, Geert Wilders has a real chance of winning. This could be the second nail in the EU coffin…Brexit was the first.

  72. meargen March 11, 2017 at 5:20 pm #

On NPR: I haven’t listened to it in years, and they’re pretty PC, but have been that way since the beginning. I remember in 1979, when the Russians invaded Afghanistan, the first thing an ‘expert’ on NPR said was ‘the first thing we have to do is bring back détente,’ even though détente was long dead and had been discarded by the USSR.

I also remember a panel on racism that had six people, all pretty much the same anti-white pro-black views. But NPR is what it is. I know it from a college town I lived in, where they had Morning Edition, then classical music until three, then All Things Considered, then back to classical.
NPR always seems to be a station for second-raters, although I’m not really considering NBC, CBS, etc., as first raters. We need a new media.
My only real exposure to TV is when I work out at the gym and watch the monitors on the treadmill, and there’s not much to get my interest. if I’d chose a daring TV star, it would have to be Flo from Progressive.
I’d hate to see PBS lose more funding, because they have some good drama programs, but those are mostly BBC. I do watch Mercy Street, an actual original PBS program, a sort of ER set in the Civil War. Most PBS shows, from what I see, are minority/deviant friendly to an extreme, but there are other informative programs on occasion. I do wish they’d try more original American drama rather then just import BBC.
A problem is the mass market. Unusual programming only has a small market. I remember when A&E had a lot of good, BBC drama, but then they went totally commercial and have the usual dreck. Supposedly, with a ton of cable out there there should be a renaissance of programming, but it’s always the same doctors-lawyers-cops with a certain slant. Or like the History channel, which has a lot of UFO junk or mystical BS.
I remember when PBS actually had some funding in the late 70’s, and they had real drama…an American short story series with American writers like Fitzgerald, Twain, etc. Even further back, I remember the old NET theater in the 60’s, and although a lot of the programs looked like filmed stage plays, they had USA by Dos Passos, William’s Camino Real, The Scarecrow (with Gene Wilder), and other American works. But ExXon finds it cheaper to import BBC, and our ruling class is very Brit happy and imitative.

Onto Russia: a shame we ‘hate’ Russia, since we’ve never really had any real war with them (there was our sending troops in during the Russian Revolution to Vladivostok, which didn’t do much good. Russia seems to have forgiven us, and we gave them John Reed), and I think the current neocon attempt to start a crisis is fizzling, because people can see through it. It has all the truth of a John Mc Cain smile. It’s obvious Russia, China, and Iran are in the way of complete corporate globalization, and they’re not going to be easy to take out. Russia pretty much won WWII, China gave us a nasty slap in Korea, and Iran got the better of us in 1979 and 80. So, these are countries that can’t be slapped down by a few drones and Navy Seals. We like wars where we can stomp on nations that can’t fight back.Let’s hope this saber rattling is only to get the (sigh) inevitable rise in defense spending.
I remember talking to a Russian woman many years ago about our civil defense drills, the threat from invasion, the enemy’s advancing against us all over the world, trying to destroy freedom etc. She said that yes, her country said exactly the same thing about us, the ‘imperialists out to destroy peace and socialism.’ let’s hope that the end of the Cold War taught us something.

The fed, interest rate, and debt ceiling are more directly related to the US budget. The Dutch election results will have as much effect on our markets as the Brexit vote did… not much.

By the way, for the UK to leave the EU it has to invoke an agreement called Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty which gives the two sides two years to agree the terms of the split. It has not done that yet, though might do so soon, just around the corner. In any event, the UK’s Supreme Court ruled in January that Parliament must be consulted before Article 50 is invoked.

Trump has canceled multiple open press events this week, opting not to let reporters into the room to ask questions.

Why Iceland is not in the news

The story of the incessant revolution in Iceland is a vivid example of how little our media tell us about the world.

In 2008, at the beginning of the financial crisis, Iceland literally went bankrupt. The reasons were mentioned only casually, and since then this little-known member of the European Union, as they say, disappeared from the radar.

As one after another European countries are threatened with bankruptcy, which threatens the existence of the euro, which will have very severe consequences for the whole world, the last thing that the powers that be want Iceland to become an example for others.

In 2003, Iceland’s debt was equal to 200 percent of its GNP, and in 2007 it was 900 percent. The global financial crisis of 2008 was a deadly blow. Three major Icelandic banks – Landbanki, Kapthing and Glitnir – went belly up and were nationalized, and the krona lost 85 percent of its value against the euro.

At the end of the year, Iceland declared bankruptcy. Contrary to what was to be expected, in the direct application of democracy, the crisis led the Icelanders to restore their sovereign rights, which eventually led to a new Constitution. Protests and riots ultimately forced the government to resign.

The elections were pushed forward in April 2009, as a result of which the left coalition came to power, which condemned the neo-liberal economic system, but immediately surrendered the requirements for Iceland to pay a total of 3.5 billion euros.

This required that every resident of Iceland pay monthly 100 euros for fifteen years to pay off debts incurred by private individuals in relation to other private individuals. It was the straw that broke the camel’s back.

What happened next was extraordinary. The idea that citizens must pay for mistakes of financial monopolies, that a whole country should be taxed to pay off private debts, change the relations between citizens and their political institutions, and eventually lead to the fact that the leaders of Iceland took the side of their voters.

Head of State Olafur Ragnar Grimsson refused to ratify the law, which would make the citizens of Iceland responsible for the debts of Icelandic bankers, and agreed to convene a referendum.

Of course, the international community only increased the pressure on Iceland. Britain and Holland threatened with severe repressions, which would lead to the isolation of the country. When the Icelanders gathered to vote, the IMF threatened to deprive the country of any of its assistance. The British government threatened to freeze the savings and current accounts of the Icelanders.

As Grimmson used to say: “We were told that if we do not accept the conditions of the international community, then we will become northern Cuba. But if we agreed, we would become northern Haiti. “

In the March referendum in 2010, 93 percent voted against the payment of debts. The IMF immediately froze crediting. But the revolution (which mainstream media almost did not write about) was not intimidated. With the support of angry citizens, the government initiated civil and criminal investigations into persons responsible for the financial crisis.

Interpol issued an international warrant for the arrest of former president of Kaupthing Bank Sigurdur Einarsson, and other bankers, also involved in the collapse, fled the country.

But the Icelanders did not stop there: they decided to adopt a new Constitution that would free the country from the power of international finance and virtual money. To write a new Constitution, the people of Iceland elected 25 citizens out of 522 adults who did not belong to any political party, which was recommended by at least 30 citizens. This document was not the handiwork of a handful of politicians, but was written on the Internet.

Constituent meetings were held on-line, and citizens could write their comments and make proposals, with their own eyes watching how their Constitution gradually takes shape. The constitution, which was ultimately born in the framework of such popular participation, will be submitted to parliament for approval after the next election.

Today, the same solutions are offered to other peoples. The people of Greece are told that the privatization of their public sector is the only solution. The same threatens the Italians, the Spaniards and the Portuguese.

Let them look at Iceland and its refusal to submit to foreign interests, when a tiny country loudly and clearly declared that their people are sovereign.

HOW SOLAR ENERGY WORKS AT NIGHT ON KAUAI, HAWAII

Tesla, SolarCity, and partner Kauai Island Utility Cooperative unveiled the completed solar and energy-storage facility last week. The Tesla installation includes nearly 55,000 individual solar panels, and 272 Tesla Powerpack lithium-ion battery packs. Those packs have 52 megawatt-hours of storage capacity, and can discharge up to 13 megawatts of power to the grid.

Tesla also has a deal with infrastructure company AES for a similar solar-and-energy-storage project on Kauai’s southern shore, including a 28-megawatt solar array.

Solar and battery packs work… even when the sun don’t shine.

    • JimInFlorida March 12, 2017 at 2:15 pm #

Somewhere in the CFN past, I DID state the kind of paradigm change that would have to take place, regarding electric power production.

The only difference is that my system uses the time-tested, RECYCLABLE, and rugged lead-acid battery for storage. Tesla’s lithium-ion batteries CANNOT be economically recycled and depend on supplies from politically unstable countries in South America.

Up ’til now, it’s been centralized power generation on demand. That works O.K. with cheap fuel and gives monopoly control to the power companies.

I said that the future must incorporate DE-centralized power generation and distributed STORAGE.

That means each house or building must have solar and/or wind energy production AND built in battery bank. In the event of cloudy days or insufficient wind, the battery bank must have a minimum capacity to carry the house for 24 hours without power only selected loads i.e. refrigerator, freezer, TV, computer, and lights. More battery capacity can be added at the owner’s expense.

Unlike grid-tied systems, the ONLY TIME the house may connect to the grid is to recharge the batteries! Solar and wind feedback into the grid causes problems and makes load balancing difficult.

Eventually, centralized electric generation can shift to solar-wind-battery systems that transmit over the existing high-tension power grid. This is perfectly feasible since most loads will be carried by the end-user anyway.

The only time coal, oil, or nuclear will be used will be for major loads, like factories, industrial parks, concrete plants, etc.

Yes, solar and battery packs work but, I have my doubts about this Tesla techno-glam approach.

Health policy experts have found that the net effect of the Republican repeal bill would be to raise costs for the average insurance enrollee by $1,542 per year in 2017, and by $2,409 in 2020.

“The Deep State is an outgrowth of the illiberal tendencies in liberal democracy, tendencies which have given disproportionate influence to a military foreign policy, secrecy at home and entrenched disparities of wealth. But, while it has been a grave defect on our governmental system, it was not the worst thinkable permutation of that system. What is now evolving in the West Wing under the troika of Donald Trump, Steve Bannon and Jared Kushner is far more sinister.”

Really, JHK is sophisticated enough to understand that this whole ‘Fed raising interest rates’ thing is nonsense.

The setting of the target rate for Fed Funds, never mind what they are but they are a fake market, has nothing to do with interest rates, plural. To wit look here

    https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/%5ETNX/?p=^TNX

That is the current yield on US Treasury 10 year Notes.

Now make sure the time scale is 2 years and then move the cursor back to December 15, 2015, the last time the Fed raised ‘rates’. What happened after that? Well 7 months later the rate fell to a record low.

So there you have it, the Fed raising rates. A complete and total absurdity.

I don’t know what CFN is.
If no one likes the BBC, that’s fine. There’s room on this site for all haters.
As for watching TV at the gym, I have no choice. The monitors are everywhere, and once in a while, when the satellite goes out, I’m delighted. Also, we’ve got loud, noisy rap music that is annoying, and the clerks just shrug and say ‘it’s out of our hands’ when I ask them to turn it down. That no one, from kids to seniors, don’t mind tells you how narcotized Americans are to noise, which some deep state students suggest is used for subliminal mind control.

We also have exercise classes that boom out music for a zumba class, a kind of salsa/ rap that is profoundly annoying, especially when you see a bunch of old white ladies try to get down.

As for race in America, Hitler said America had no folk culture. it was too negrified, and probably the only folk culture it had was from the Indians…whom he said was best written of by Karl May, a German western writer Hitler and many Germans were found of.
Interesting, in Mein Kampf, when he discussed the national differences, he admired the American immigration system (in the 1920’s) because it controlled entry in the country by race.

    I still like Flo.

You just inspired a brilliant political solution to these JWO-ZOG operated ships.

Mercenary submarines! There are still a few Cold War diesel-electrics that could be put back in service and re-armed. It may require cannibalizing a dozen old Russian boats to make three good subs.

By the usual dark diplomatic channels, the mercenary submariners could be contracted to sink those engines of White genocide! By underground arrangement, the sinking of these ships could be attributed to rough seas, the ship was unseaworthy, or some other plausible excuse. A media blackout is also good.

That way, non-state actors can be blamed and the White governments can say, “We didn’t do it!”

    Fairest Things Have Fleetest Endings

A haunting novel about the end of the white race.

The Camp of the Saints, Jean Raspail, Norman Shapiro (trans.), The Social Contract Press, 1995, 316 pp., $12.95 (soft cover)

    Reviewed by Samuel Jared Taylor

Fiction can be more powerful than fact. Authors have always lent their talents to causes, often swaying events more effectively than journalists or politicians. Fiction, including virtually everything emitted by Hollywood, has usually been in the service of the left, but occasionally an author declares his allegiance to culture and tradition.

In The Camp of the Saints, Jean Raspail goes further and declares his allegiance to his race — though it is an allegiance tinged with bitterness at the weakness of the white man. Originally published in 1973, this may be the first significant racialist novel since the days of Thomas Dixon. It is the story of the final, tragic end of European civilization which falls, like all great civilizations, by its own hand.

The novel is set in the near future in France, where the leftist sicknesses of multi-culturalism and multi-racialism have undermined all natural defenses. As Mr. Raspail writes of young Europeans:
“That scorn of a people of other races, the knowledge that one’s own is best, the triumphant joy at feeling oneself to be part of humanity’s finest — none of that had ever filled these youngsters’ addled brains, or at least so little that the monstrous cancer implanted in the Western conscience had quashed it in no time at all.”

By then, “the white race was nothing more than a million sheep,” beaten down by decades of anti-white propaganda. As Mr. Raspail explains, it was “a known fact that racism comes in two forms: that practiced by whites — heinous and inexcusable, whatever its motives — and that practiced by blacks — quite justified, whatever its excess, since it’s merely the expression of a righteous revenge …”

This is the state of mind with which the West confronts its final crisis: nearly a million starving, disease-ridden boat people — men, women, and children — set sail from the Ganges delta for Europe. Practically no one is willing to say that this flotilla must be stopped at all costs. Instead, liberals and Christians spout confident nonsense about welcoming their Hindu brothers into the wealth and comfort of Europe.

The thought of this wretched brown mass sailing for Europe is a source of great joy for the World Council of Churches. Its men are “shock-troop pastors, righteous in their loathing of anything and everything that smacked of present-day Western society, and boundless in their love of whatever might destroy it.” They are determined “to welcome the million Christs on board those ships, who would rise up, reborn, and signal the dawn of a just, new day …”

One of the few Europeans who recognizes that what has come to be called the “Last Chance Armada” spells the doom of Christendom reproaches a group of anti-Western churchmen:

“There’s not one of you proud of his skin, and all that it stands for…”

“Not proud, or aware of it either,” replies one. “That’s the price we have to pay for the brotherhood of man. We’re happy to pay it.”

Europe is rife with fifth-column propagandists, products of earlier capitulations. Typical of these is Clement Dio, “citizen of France, North African by blood … [who] possessed a belligerent intellect that thrived on springs of racial hatred barely below the surface, and far more intense than anyone imagined.”

Knowing full well that acceptance of the first wave of third world refugees will only prompt imitators that will eventually swamp the white West, he writes happily about how “the civilization of the Ganges” will enrich a culturally bankrupt continent:

“Considering all the wonders that the Ganges had bestowed on us already — sacred music, theater, dance, yoga, mysticism, arts and crafts, jewelry, new styles in dress — the burning question … was how we could manage to do without these folks any longer!”

As the flotilla makes for Europe, school teachers set assignments for their students: “Describe the life of the poor, suffering souls on board the ships, and express your feelings toward their plight in detail, by imagining, for example, that one of the desperate families comes to your home and asks you to take them in.”

The boat people steam towards the Suez Canal, but the Egyptians, not soft like whites, threaten to sink the entire convoy. One hundred ships turn south, around the horn of Africa — towards Europe. The refugees run out of fuel for cooking and start burning their own excrement. Pilots sent to observe the fleet report an unbearable stench.

A few deluded whites have boarded the ships in Calcutta and sail along with “the civilization of the Ganges,” dreaming of Europe:

“Already they saw it their mission to guide the flock’s first steps on Western soil. One would empty out all our hospital beds so that cholera-ridden and leprous wretches could sprawl between their clean white sheets. Another would cram our brightest, cheeriest nurseries full of monster children. Another would preach unlimited sex, in the name of the one, single race of the future …”

The Hindus tolerate these traitors until almost the end of the voyage and then strangle them, throwing their naked bodies overboard so that they drift onto a Spanish beach as the armada heads for the south of France. The boat people have no need for guides of this kind, from a race that has lost all relevance:

“The Last Chance Armada, en route to the West, was feeding on hatred. A hatred of almost philosophical proportions, so utter, so absolute, that it had no thoughts of revenge, or blood, or death, but merely consigned its objects to the ultimate void. In this case, the whites. For the Ganges refugees, on their way to Europe, the whites had simply ceased to be.”

Finally, on the morning of Easter Sunday, the 100 creaking hulks crash onto the beaches. The local inhabitants have abandoned all thought of taking in a family of Hindus, and have fled north. Many of the fashionable leftist agitators have likewise left their editorial jobs and radio programs and disappeared, with their gold bars, to Switzerland. The army has been sent south to prevent a landing, but there are doubts as to whether whites can be made to slaughter unarmed civilians.

As one government official explains to another, “[D]on’t count on the army, monsieur. Not if you’ve got … genocide in mind.”

The other replies: “Then it just means another kind of genocide … Our own.”

At the last moment the French President is unable to give the order to fire. He urges the troops to act according to their consciences. They throw down their rifles and run.

Bands of hippies and Christians, who have come south to welcome their brown brothers also turn and run as soon as they get a whiff of the new arrivals. “How could a good cause smell so bad?”

The few remaining whites with any sense of their civilization find they can communicate practically without speaking: “That was part of the Western genius, too: a mannered mentality, a collusion of aesthetes, a conspiracy of caste, a good-natured indifference to the crass and the common. With so few left now to share in its virtues, the current passed all the more easily between them.”

A handful of citizens drive south with their hunting rifles on suicide missions to do the job their government is unable to do. One of these, ironically, is an assimilated Indian. As he explains to another band of citizen-hunters, “Every white supremacist cause — no matter where or when — has had blacks on its side. And they didn’t mind fighting for the enemy, either. Today, with so many whites turning black, why can’t a few ‘darkies’ decide to be white? Like me.”

The Indian is killed, along with his white comrades, in an attack by fighter-bombers sent by the French government to put down resistance to the invasion. Soldiers who were unable to kill brown people make short work of “racist” whites.

All over France non-whites take the offensive. Algerians on assembly lines rise up and kill their white bosses. African street cleaners knock on the doors of de luxe Paris apartments and move in. A multi-racial government, including a few token whites, announces a new dispensation.

Capitulation by the French means capitulation everywhere. Masses of ragged Chinese pour into Russia, whose troops are likewise unable to fire on hungry civilians. Huge fleets of beggars set sail from every pestilential southern port, heading for Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. The same drama unfolds In the United States. “Black would be black, and white would be white. There was no changing either, except by a total mix, a blend into tan. They were enemies on sight, and their hatred and scorn only grew as they came to know each other better.” Americans lay down their arms just as the French do.

Raspail hints here and there at what the new Europe will be like: “At the time, each refugee quarter had its stock of white women, all free for the taking. And perfectly legal. (One of the new regime’s first laws, in fact. In order to ‘demythify’ the white woman, as they put it.)”

The first provisional government also has a Minister of Population — a French woman married to a black — to ensure a permanent solution to the race problem. After all: “Only a white woman can have a white baby. Let her choose not to conceive one, let her choose only nonwhite mates, and the genetic results aren’t long in coming.”

And so ends the saga of Western man, not in pitched battle, not in defeat at the hands of superior forces, but by capitulation.

Even after a quarter century, the novel is astonishingly current. It was written before Communism collapsed, and the new French revolution is spiced with anti-capitalist slogans that now sound slightly off key. One might also complain that a few of the characters verge on caricature. Nevertheless, the central tragedy — suicidal white weakness — is brilliantly portrayed and could have been written in 1995.

Mr. Raspail obviously loves his culture and his race, and wrote in the afterward that although he had intended to end the book with a spasm of white self-consciousness that saves Europe, the final catastrophe seemed to write itself. Perhaps he could not, in good faith, write a different ending. In the preface to the 1985 French edition he observed:

“[T]he West is empty, even if it has not yet become really aware of it. An extraordinarily inventive civilization, surely the only one capable of meeting the challenges of the third millennium, the West has no soul left. At every level — nations, race, cultures as well as individuals — it is always the soul that wins the decisive battles.”

The Camp of the Saints puts the white man’s dilemma in the most difficult terms: slaughter hundreds of thousands of women and children or face oblivion. Of course, a nation that had the confidence to shed blood in the name of its own survival would never be put to such a test; no mob of beggars would threaten it.

The story that Mr. Raspail tells — the complete collapse of Western man even when the very survival of his civilization so clearly hangs in the balance — may seem implausible to some. And yet, what whites do in The Camp of the Saints is no different from what they have done every day for the past forty years. The only difference is that the novel moves in fast forward; it covers in months what could take decades.

Whites all around the world suffer from Mr. Raspail’s “monstrous cancer implanted in the Western conscience.” South Africans vote for black rule. Americans import millions of nonwhites and grant them racial preferences. Australians abandon their whites-only immigration policy and become multi-cultural.

Even if he did not actively cooperate in his own destruction, time works against the white man. As Mr. Raspail writes in the afterward, “the proliferation of other races dooms our race, my race, irretrievably to extinction in the century to come, if we hold fast to our present moral principles.” No other race subscribes to these moral principles — if that is really what they are — because they are weapons of self-annihilation.

Mr. Raspail’s powerful, gripping novel is a call to all whites to rekindle their sense of race, love of culture, and pride in history — for he knows that without them we will disappear.

how many white children have you produced?

      • JimInFlorida March 12, 2017 at 9:33 pm #

Whites generally require higher living conditions before we will reproduce. Fine machinery, computers, and well-to-do White families require a high quality environment to bring forth.

The brown and black races freely spawn with little or no regard for their living conditions. Ghetto conditions, social instability, war, poverty, etc. are no impediment to making babies.

The Tribe That Shall Not Be Named knows this very well and have polluted White social space to achieve a double purpose.

Mainly, to bring living and social conditions below what Whites will reproduce in. Yet, those conditions are far better than what 3rd World races are accustomed to. Abundant food, government benefits, and legal protection will cause a population explosion in those races and TTTSNBN wants that explosion to happen in the White countries.

          ****************************

The historical evidence contradicts your statement.

In both Europe and everywhere Europeans traveled, poor white people have always produced more children than the rich. Those “Renaissance Festivals” you all attend are complete nonsense because no one pretends to be a broke ass beggar, leper, diseased, filthy serf with rotting teeth, suspicious skin lesions and stinking to high heaven…

Life was short and brutal for the vast numbers of Europeans; constant war, disease, crime…

But these were the very people producing all the children; the so called”peasant stock” if you will.

Therefore Im filing your: “Whites generally require higher living conditions before we will reproduce.” under the heading “shit that never happened.

Matter of fact, it may even be this narcissistic quest for “higher living conditions” thats to blame for falling European birth rates?

You white people got it too easy; y’all need to tote that bale, walk behind a plow all day in the hot sun, hang off the back of a trash truck…

          *like me*

All this easy living is makin y’all null and void

Meanwhile, Im scopin and hopin to crack them legs wide open; hit it with the shaft, take a bath, then make an excuse to leave.

Right after I posted that, I remembered the huge rural White families of a century ago and prior. Instead, I was talking about the 20th century when Whites finally elevated themselves above Nature and created modern civilization. But, a hostile 3rd party sowed evil seed in our design.

Higher standards of living didn’t cause our birthrates to fall. The ZOG Matrix makes having a high standard of living AND having kids a stupid idea. Go into the ultra-sterile high-end HOA neighborhoods and you’ll see very few kids outside, if at all. HOA’s were created to discourage Black and brown people from moving in by its very sterility and self-imposed tyranny.

Poor people have no such restraints, will breed indiscriminately, and produce illegitimate rug rats.

BTW, we don’t tote the bale or walk behind plows because that’s what heavy machines are for. WE invented them for that purpose.

I suppose the bottom line is that having children, when one cannot afford to provide a White standard of living for them, is flat out wrong.

          • AKlein March 13, 2017 at 7:32 am #

Thwack, it’s not just the lack of hard work that lowers the birth rate, it’s a mind-set. In fact, primarily a mind-set, especially here in the US. It’s the signal behavior of the “metrosexuals.” That includes both white and black and brown. Equal opportunity! For a better understanding of this, watch the beginning of Mike Judge’s movie, Idiocracy.

Russia is governed directly by the Lord God Himself. Otherwise, it is impossible to imagine how this state still exists == Burkhard Christoph von Münnich

How and why in Russia, at critical moments, it is not the elites munching around the Kremlin, or even the secret services, that decide everything, but simple heroes from the plow or the lathe, retirees or just yesterday from the school.

For this, it would be necessary, of course, to study not the reports attained through humanitarian grants, but Russian epics and Russian fairy tales – from Ilya Muromets and Emelya the Fool, ending with the tale of Gaidar “The Military Secret”, inaccessible to bourgeois understanding.

However, the fact is a fact, precisely at the moment of visible or even demonstrative disintegration of the Russian Defense Ministry, when even the Main Operational Directorate did not have its operational office functioning because of the stealing of the repair budget; troops practically without Central Command were even more effective in South Ossetia during the war of 08.08.08.

Or the special improvisation of Operation Crimea, which was picked up by all the servicemen and volunteers in the course of the development of events. How Western politicians here not to be scared?

Perhaps, if the university, humanitarian and scientific community of the USA preserved its former full form, it could, at least theoretically, find this secret of the “Second Foundation”.

However, in the course of delaying decisive actions to resolve the global financial crisis, even the leading universities and scientific centers were threatened with funding cuts.

University endowments are part of a crisis of the financial market. At zero or about refinancing rates, the income from securities is also sharply reduced, as in pension funds.

Budget subsidies are also not enough for everybody. In addition, the grants first go to ideologically close-minded universities that study gender-identity problems and other irrational bases for uniting “democratic” sects, and not the reality.

Not to mention that it is difficult even to get real information about US itself through the filters of the mass media and grant-beneficiaries, not to speak about Russia.

Lucky the human being, considering inflicting harm on others, who can see in advance via prophetic vision the agony and suffering of those he might harm should he follow through.

Fortunately, he sees via imganation/ contemplation in the here and now the utter agony, desperation and destruction of life his harm inflicting actions would have caused on others in the future.

He see’s those faces of horror in the form of spirit ghosts and he counts himself thankful that he wakes from the vision with a choice not available to those on their end of life death bed who did not heed the spirit fork in the road before it was too late:

    Do No Harm.

The lucky human processses this moral dictum over time; the empath bleeds it with every momentary thought/energetic influence: instant karma if you will.

It can’t be easy for leaders imbued with morality to make the really tough calls where some will be hurt in order to salvage the greater good, especially when events are a moving target.

    • Buck Stud March 12, 2017 at 11:02 pm #

I propose that those one unjustly vanquishes/subjugates in the coporeal world are those one weds in the immaterial world:Eternally attached at the hip.

Thus, ‘Do No Harm’ is not always a-priori morality; it might also be a very self serving consideration.

Here is the dilemma. On the one hand, Trump is a very dangerous opponent for us. Finally, the Western world got a worthy leader, capable to challenge the Russian Tsar. A dangerous, cunning, clever and insidious opponent not aimed at the profits of global corporations, but to stop the process of the decline of the American Empire. Make America Great Again.

On the other hand, you look at his opponents and haters and involuntarily feel sympathy for him.
