“Things fall apart; the center cannot hold.” Yeats wrote. The funny thing is, we didn’t seem to miss the center all that much after it was gone. America is perfectly satisfied hunkering down at the margins these days. Especially the margins of thinking.

One thing that used to occupy the center was public discussion, debate, and argumentation. Now and again, it featured a coherent exchange of ideas. These days, the main political factions are sunk in hysteria of one kind or another. Their primitive promptings hardly add up to ideas but rather limbic spasms of fear and rage. And then there is the shadow partner of the two parties called the Deep State, led by the quaintly dubbed “Intelligence Community.” These birds, many of them lifers, are dedicated to making the public discussion of anything as incoherent as possible so as to prevent any change in policy that might curtail the growth of the Deep State, a sort of cancer of the body politic.

Case in point, the recent Syrian aerial gas attack in the town of Khan Sheikhoun. Elected officials were all over the cable networks selling the NSA’s story that Syrian president Bashar Assad bombed women and children with Sarin gas three days after State Department declared that it had a new policy of letting Assad remain in power after decades of sedulously scheming to shove him out. That might have led to the end of the six-year-long Syrian civil war, which Assad seemed to be winning, finally — with Russian assistance.

But instead the incident has led to new official calls to shove Assad out… to be replaced by what…? Nobody knows. Because the US Deep State thrives when chaos reigns in foreign lands. So much the better for their looting operations, such as the theft of Libya’s 141 ton gold reserves in 2011. And if not looting hard assets directly, the Deep State benefits when its many black box vendors — the private security armies, materials suppliers, arms sellers — are raking in the accounts receivable.

The fascinating part of the Syrian gas bombing story is how easily the public swallowed it. Those elected congressmen and senators infesting the cable stations told the public that the Intelligence Community “issued a consensus report” that the Syrian air force has dropped Sarin gas bombs on the hapless civilians. Nobody offered any actual evidence that this was so. These days, mere assertions rule.

That’s how we roll now. I’m still waiting to see some evidence that Trump’s campaign “colluded with Russia” to spin the election toward him. Those claims, too, were put out as “a consensus analysis” by the Intelligence Community. And then in March, months after the disputed election, just-retired NSA director James Clapper told NBC’s Meet the Press that his agency had no evidence of “Russian collusion” with the Trump forces. That was only a few weeks ago.

For the moment, it may benefit casual observers to adopt the most cynical attitude possible about the “consensus reports” that emanate from these myriad agencies. What it all finally seems to represent is the snowballing incompetence, venality, mendacity, and impotence of the US government in general, in all its layers and branches.

Hence, the idiotic PR stunt the other day of dropping the so-called “Mother of All Bombs (MOAB)” on some backwater of the once-and-future Mother of All Backwaters, Afghanistan. Did you happen to see a photo of that Mother Bomb? It looked bigger than any airplane that might be assigned to carry it, a cartoon of a bomb, more ridiculous than anything you might see in a Vin Diesel movie. It even had the acronym “MOAB” plastered on its fuselage in case anyone might confuse it with a canister of Round-up. I wonder what it cost. Got to be more than the $1 million-plus for a Tomahawk missile. You could probably run the whole Medicaid system of Alabama on what one MOAB invoice comes in at.

Meanwhile, the Navy’s Aircraft Carrier Strike Force 1 steams off the waters of North Korea and we lately have word that the US might just try to preemptively take out Kim Jong-un’s nuclear bomb assembly site. There’s a tang of excitement in the air (and on the cable channels). America’s back in the game, proving that when all else fails we can be depended on at least to blow some shit up. What could wrong?

Days after the supposed chemical attack in Syria, here in Knoxville, TN, a local talk radio host named Hallerin Hill went on the air trying to convince people to support bombing Syria. He was talking about how we saved the world in WWII and so on, all the usual propaganda points. I could tell he was seriously taken aback when caller after caller, all of them conservatives, good old boys, alt righters, etc. etc. all, informed him that Trump just better not drop any bombs because they have kids in the military and they are sick of war. Just wanted to give you an update from life here in the land of your favorite stereotypes.

    • Lonely Traveler April 14, 2017 at 9:31 am #

You are right KatJohn. Unless you have a family member in harm’s way, Americans don’t give a royal crap about who dies in the pursuit of glory. It’s easy to bomb poor people in distant lands while ignoring your own at home.

      • thwack April 14, 2017 at 9:45 am #

Yeah, and he’s bombing the wrong mexicans anyway.

      • windward April 14, 2017 at 4:02 pm #

        Excellent, KatJohn and Lonely Traveler.

I wonder whether Mr. Kunstler, whose invective I greatly enjoy, can think of a way to poll his readership on the question of how many of them have ever served, or are serving, in the US military forces or the Peace Corps or some kind of national service.

The more belligerent the US becomes, the lower the percentage of its population who feel any obligation to serve the country in some way. Ask not what you can do for your country. Ask how big a pile you can accumulate. Maybe it was always so. Very few of the colonists fought in the Revolutionary War, and most of the rest contributed nothing to the fight in money or anything else. You see, it was not their job.

        • KatJohn April 14, 2017 at 4:58 pm #

What impressed me so much about the callers was that I am from this area and got cussed out good and hard, ostracized at work, hell I got a DEATH THREAT from one of my supervisors when I dared to join the peace movement back in 2003. It isn’t easy being a peacenik here, not at all, and if you’re actually a hillbilly yourself, that goes triple. All your brother and sister ‘billies hate your guts. And what I heard on the radio last week … Man, one woman called in to talk about Tulsi Gabbard! Hallerin Hill couldn’t get one person to agree with him about bombing Syria all the time I listened, although I’m sure that if I’d listened long enough, he would finally have found someone. Something big has changed, I THINK, since 2003, and that is how many people in the red states now hate and despise the wars; instead of doing what the TV tells them to do, and blindly supporting. It appears a hell of a lot of people have learned the phrase “deep state.” I don’t know if it will last. I can’t stand to listen to talk radio that much. It’s just too disgusting. I wouldn’t listen even to Hallerin Hill, but for a neo con warmongering propagandist, he’s fairly pleasant and polite. Anyway, the powers that be have had over a week to brainwash people so … Even so, I hope and pray this kind of “Oh, no, Trump better not even try that” kind of attitude lasts … if only we can all survive that long, that is.

          @windward
As a veteran of the Vietnam Era, (who wasn’t sent to ‘Nam), I’ve long believed that the elimination of the draft was the Master Stroke of the Empire. Without the draft, the deep state could do whatever it wanted without much opposition on the home front. If middle and upper class young men were being drafted to die in any of the Empire’s many wars of conquest, do you think that a power-mad president could get away with possibly starting a third World War?

          • windward April 15, 2017 at 6:01 pm #

Outsider, I have also believed that for a long while.

I think that the draft protests during the Vietnam War were very important in ending the war. The motivation for the protests was mostly an understandable desire to avoid getting shot or killed over there. The desire to end a criminal war was also part of it, but not as powerful.

I know that many people regard the draft as involuntary servitude. Unlawful. An outrage against the Constitution. Yet they do not hesitate to enjoy the benefits provided by the greatest military power of all time. If they want the benefits, they ought to shoulder their share of the burden. Otherwise they are parasites.

It seems far too late to recover our Republic. When we chose to become an empire there was no turning back. We chose the road to ruin. The only way we might have saved ourselves was to make everyone suffer for what our government did. This could not have been achieved without a military draft for every able-bodied citizen, no deferments.

Most of us today regard the requirement of a universal draft as insanity. We have our careers to protect. We must have the newest smartphone and the latest SUV and the vacation home, in the Hamptons if possible.

It is obvious to me why we got Trump and what is going to happen next. I am glad I won’t be around much longer.

We are a nation of warriors. We don’t care about Medicare in Alabama or anywhere else for that matter. By the time we wise up, it will be too late. It’s too late already. Let’s bomb the bejesus out some poor people in some distant land. It make us all feel better.

    • Walter B April 14, 2017 at 10:45 am #

You are correct, and it is a sad and terrifying thing. There appears to be a vast bulk of Americans that while never bothering to ever serve in the armed forces themselves are more than willing to babble on about how “we” should bomb some backwater crap hole “into the Stone Age”, or turn some Middle Eastern sandpit into “a parking lot”, all the while neither they nor theirs lift a finger to do any of the dirty work. Why, even at last week’s church service, two of the very few “men” that attend were thumping (or should I say Trumping) their chests at the show of “not going to take it anymore” that they feel resulted from another useless expenditure of ordinance in Syria. I guess I missed the part where war for profit was slipped into Christian Doctrine. IMHO, as the state of decay quickly encroaches upon the Americans lifestyle, there are far too many Mindless Minions that will support any war or any death dealt upon anyone other them in order to keep the Fat & Happy motoring, cellphoning and partying into oblivion. It has become Us or Them in the vilest sense of the word and it simply cannot end well, though end it must.

      • windward April 14, 2017 at 4:13 pm #

Right on, Walter B. If we were all required to serve in the military, maybe enough of us would fight to elect responsible leaders. But that might be only wishful thinking. The march of folly will probably never end until the Devil up and dates us.

        • badberries April 14, 2017 at 4:20 pm #

Bring back the draft and all of these “adventure” wars will stop. Oh yeah, no “deferments”…no “National Guard” summer camps like George W. had . Everybody puts in their time.

Just stand there and not budge. Just say NO. Not one, and I saw some pretty big guys on that plane, all looking the other way.

I hear you and you are right. I was a lector at 17 in a church of 5,000 and walked because it was a joke. Nothing there for me. Forty-four years later I checked out a small local church of 10 to twenty people. If it wasn’t for the Pastor who I love to exchange views, ideas, and theories with, there would be little to no value for me there as well. It is not easy for those of us who believe to find others that be shared with. Most of the people that I run into almost vomit at the mention of Faith. Oh well, many will be called but few will be chosen, right?

JHK, you’re really starting to sound like the conspiracy theory tin-foil-hat crowd. Welcome to the club! The idea that the Powers That Be were not being completely honest with us has been (and still is) mocked by the MSM as some kind of delusional, paranoid sickness. I think believing what THEY tell us is delusional.

    • Walter B April 14, 2017 at 3:20 pm #

That is a fact hmuller, only a coward or a simpleton would place any credibility in the words of a for-profit sellout political scum bag OR the Joseph Goebbels wannabe’s that these sellouts purchase to promote their lies and propaganda. THEY both profit. WE all pay. No reason to give them the satisfaction of pretending not to realize it, eh? The least we can do is recognize the scum for what they are as they sell us into slavery. Conspiracy was NEVER theory. It was ALWAYS fact. The filthy rich, planning future profitable deals behind closed doors at the expense of the idiots that provide all of the operating capital. Yup, Conspiracy Fact – the new reality. At least WE can deal with the Truth my friends!

      • DA April 14, 2017 at 5:50 pm #

Glad to see we have a few “Conspiracy Realists” on board. The evidence is out there, the research has been done (by specialists much smarter and more dedicated than us for the most part), it’s IRREFUTABLE in most cases, and it’s DAMNING IN THE EXTREME for our current “leadership.”

        – THE MORE YOU FUCKING KNOW!!! –

        • Walter B April 14, 2017 at 8:34 pm #

Even the US Congress knows the truth…

C.The committee believes, on the basis of the evidence available to it, that President John F. Kennedy was probably assassinated as a result of a conspiracy. The committee is unable to identify the other gunman or the extent of the conspiracy.

          https://www.archives.gov/research/jfk/select-committee-report/summary.html

It is sad, so sad that Americans just don’t give a shit.

          • DA April 14, 2017 at 8:57 pm #

At this point, the truth simply can’t EVER be “officially” admitted. Same with 9-11 and OKC. The ensuing can of worms would undo everything!

But yes, it’s tragic. It means we’re basically living under an illegitimate government and tacitly agreeing to war crimes committed everyday in our names. Welcome to the BRAVE NEW WORLD, my friend!

        • Paddy Padmore April 15, 2017 at 10:19 pm #

Speaking of research being done – are you aware that Peter Ketcham, a mathematician formerly employed by NIST for 14 years, after leaving NIST has now come out and declared that the NIST reports on the rapid and symmetrical collapses of the three WTC skyscrapers 1, 2, and 7 are not compatible with the laws of physics. Ketcham says he worked at NIST while the WTC investigations were going on, but was not involved in those investigations himself.

          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GvAv-114bwM

With regards to the collapse of the 47 story WTC Building 7, Dr. Leroy Hulsey, a recognized forensic engineer who also heads up the faculty of civil engineering at the University of Alaska in Fairbanks, has been conducting an in-depth forensic investigation into the collapse of WTC 7 for the last two years with the assistance of a team consisting of 2 PhD engineering students (one of whom has since received his PhD). He stated a few months ago for the record that his preliminary results definitively show that the NIST theory of collapse is wrong NIST posits that fire induced expansion of a steel girder caused the failure of one steel column in one corner of the building which in turn set off a chain reaction of structural failures leading WTC 7 to collapse symmetrically, more or less straight down in approx 12 seconds. Professor Hulsey on one occasion stated that if his engineering students submitted for a grade a report like the NIST report on building 7, it would get an”F”.

Professor Hulsey says a peer review panel will have an opportunity to review his findings and provided criticism and feedback before he publishes his final report in August of this year. He says all his data, computer modelling inputs etc, will be made public for any interested scientists or engineers to examine. In contrast, NIST has so far refused to publicly release the data it used in its computer modelling of the WTC 7 failure saying it could harm US national security to do so.

          • Walter B April 16, 2017 at 12:34 pm #

Having been schooled in structural steel analysis, design, strength of materials, and spending more than a few years in the design of steel structure myself I can assure you that this is absolute fact. It was fact from the moment we watched the towers fall on that black, dark day and it has never been changed, only denied. The fact that the Common American Idiot can be so stupendously duped is either a testament to it’s inability to think, or an admission of the fact that the party must continue at all costs, Denial is more than just a river in Egypt.

I’m enjoying asking people what N. Korea has done to us to warrant the murder of the N. K people. The Pueblo was captured 49 years ago. And nothing has happened that is overt since. Nothing to deserve a preemptive military strike, that is for sure.

The people are allegedly oppressed and malnourished so American marginal thinking has figured out that if we murder the N.K. people then there won’t be people for Kim Jong Un to oppress any more. Problem solved. Marginal thinking at it’s best!

Beyond that I like to watch people twitch when they can’t say what N, Korea has done to America except test weapons. It is funny to watch them try so hard to search for some justification and then cough up a lame – “Well Kim has done something, I just don’t know what it is.”

Trump just wanted to drop a MOAB like the eternal child he is. He wanted to go boom boom. Good thing he had it dropped where nobody got hurt. The idea that an air burst weapon will take out underground tunnels is ridiculous in the real world. Since we now live in a world of alternate facts however that is no longer true. Trumpie can twist his face and smash his little hands hard down on a table and go ‘BOOM” in this world. Trump just wanted to go boom boom. Something to tweet about in the middle of the night. Something to do besides obsess about Hillary.

    • shotho April 14, 2017 at 6:14 pm #

Well, you don’t hear anymore about Russia stealing the election for Trump, do you?

    • Ken Hall April 14, 2017 at 6:23 pm #

“The idea that an air burst weapon will take out underground tunnels is ridiculous in the real world.”

Try convincing the Vietnamese of that “alternative fact”. As an in country USAF weapons mechanic in 65 we (US) definitely used forerunners of the GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB) specifically on the vast networks of tunnels used by the North Vietnamese. These bombs are known as thermobaric/fuel-air bombs because they utilize the O2 in the atmosphere rather than incorporating it into their explosive components. The bombs we (US) used in Vietnam were a volatile gas which was dispensed by a small HE detonation and allowed to flow into the tunnels, and surrounding areas, then ignited. This would be akin to sloshing a gallon of gasoline about in your living room, allowing it to volatilize and then lighting a match. I do not think the MOAB uses a liquid fuel and I think there are more than one HE detonation which rapidly scatter the fuel possibly with sufficient energy to ignite the aerated fuel within a few milliseconds. The Internet is awash in cost estimates from program costs of $314 million down to $16 million each for a MOAB. These estimates appear specious to me because if there were no R&D costs that would result a total buy of about 20 each. The estimates for a Tomahawk missile run from about $750000 to $2 million and I would view a Tomahawk missile as far more complex and therefore costly than an MOAB.

“Trump just wanted to go boom boom. Something to do besides obsess about Hillary.”

Any chance he might be using using the MOAB and the Tomahawks just as he did the “wiretapping” to divert attention away from his “alternative facts” problem with his presidential campaign and the Russians? No of course not, he is awaiting the outing of the truth about said problem with gleeful anticipation, eh?

Fuck every one of the goose-stepping Norks. Nuke ’em all. And we will have to nuke ’em all. Because the populace is so brain damaged from decades of propaganda that they cannot assume any rightful place in a global economy (China knows this, better believe they do). Best thing for Asia and the World would be a 20 kiloton air burst at 1500 feet above Pyongyang and wipe ’em all out.

Considering that just few days before the Tomahawks attack in Syria the FBI was ready to invoke special protocols, allowing arrest of the President who cooperates with the enemies of the United States, it was a relatively small price to pay to avoid Civil War 2.0 in the United States.

On PBS, a former employee of the Obama’s Justice Department, John Carlin is telling that professional investigators of the FBI’s national security department are ready to use special protocols, allowing to arrest the President who cooperates with the enemies of the United States:

    http://www.pbs.org/newshour/bb/fbi-insulate-political-pressure/

Only six people died as a result of this attack, one of whom was the corrupt Syrian General, who apparently organized the provocation with chemical attack for a large sum of money.

Of course, their death is also terrible, like any death in the war.

Russia’s still the most credible boogeyman out there, and the Network, realizing that Americans are not very bright and have incredibly short attention spans, figured it would be far easier and cheaper to resuscitate the old cold war memes than go to the trouble of launching a whole new PR campaign to explain why China, for instance, is now public enemy number one. That and the fact that Russia has a lot of strategic real estate and energy resources, but unfortunately not a lot of dupe consumers to buy useless shit that the globalist oligarchs can profit from. And that’s the biggest crime of all!

      • Walter B April 14, 2017 at 12:53 pm #

Because we NEED to have enemies and as far as those who manufacture ordinance and armaments for profit are concerned, it really does not matter who it is as long as there are enough of them to keep the profits coming in. If these bastards ever succeed in killing off all of the “enemies” they will surely have to turn on US as the next enemy or go out of business. Which choice do you think they will make? I say we encourage them to kill off everybody else so they can stop dicking around and out US all out of our misery. Only then will they fall on their own swords and give themselves the fitting end that they have worked so hard to deserve.

Walter! Evidently your observational skills are impaired! Look around my man. The foreclosure, and in many cases, the actual criminalizations and imprisonments, have been underway for quite some time now. If you’re waiting for the actual bombs to fall, that’s not “how we roll” now. The observational drones are likely overhead as we speak for many of us, and are likely only another few synthetic terror events away from weaponization – willingly granted by US no less!

After that I can only imagine how the MSM will report such “extreme executions.” I imagine it will go like everything else: at first the MSM will report blatant lies that no one but the locals directly involved in the incident will know the truth of, and which no one else will question, and then, as the population becomes duly desensitized, they’ll simply stop reporting them in any depth at all, possibly falling back to mere overnight “body count” reports, much as we’ve heard in other US third world misadventures of late.

But rest assured, our misery is their profit, so no “early release from terms” will be considered nor granted. Yes, our physical deaths will come as a MOST welcome relief for us all individually of course, but not a MINUTE before the FULL amount of profit has been extracted for the few who own our physical bodies. Such is the nature of the system we’ve built and still subscribe to.

Yes, I suppose I looked right past that one my friend. Killing us softly with their laws, killing us softly, as the song should have gone. Torturing and tormenting us into bad health so they can then finish us off with medical expenses and “healthcare” premiums does seem to be the preferred attack, now that you mention it. It is no wonder that we lead the world in being drugged up, drunken down, and distracted all around. It is the only options were a re permitted. I wonder when they will introduce Soma to the general public. It had better be soon…..

Meanwhile, the Navy’s Aircraft Carrier Strike Force 1 steams off the waters of North Korea and we lately have word that the US might just try to preemptively take out Kim Jong-un’s nuclear bomb assembly site.

    **************************

Im calling this out as a Trump publicity stunt.

Niggling with the Norks is a bad idea for a good reason, namely; the Korean war never ended. No U.S president has been stupid enough to openly threaten North Korean with military attack until now; so what changed?

    • FincaInTheMountains April 14, 2017 at 10:15 am #

After China will fail to negotiate a settlement between US and N. Korea, Russia will be able to persuade Kim Jong-un to slow down his ballistic nuclear missile program.

With very high probability – NO military action, mostly in support of President Trump domestic stability and integrity of the US, against out-of-control Neocon Media.

Liberals table bills to legalize pot, clamp down on impaired driving
Regulations aim to restrict access to minors, remove profits to organized crime

    http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/marijuana-legal-bill-1.4069178

“The Liberal government has tabled legislation to end the prohibition on pot, checking off a major promise from the 2015 campaign.

“The pot plan comes with two new bills; one to regulate the recreational use, sale and cultivation of marijuana, and a second that strengthens measures to stop impaired driving.

“It would allow people to possess up to 30 grams of dried or fresh cannabis and sets the minimum at 18 years of age, though provinces and territories can set a higher legal age.

“Consumers can grow up to four plants at home or buy from a licensed retailer. Dried and fresh pot and cannabis oil will be available first, with edible products to become available later.

“Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has repeatedly said the goal of legalization is to restrict access of marijuana to minors and choke off profits from sales by organized crime.

“Bill Blair, who Trudeau appointed as his point man on the marijuana file, said there is no plan to promote the use of pot and stressed that buying, selling or using marijuana outside the regulatory regime will remain a serious criminal offence with stiff penalties.”

    Discuss.

    • patrickd April 14, 2017 at 11:11 am #

yes, that’s one thing that could go wrong. The Russians told the US that another missile attack could not be allowed. China told the US to resolve the DPRK problem peacefully. They are fed up with US psychopathy and have plans to act militarily when the US crosses a red line. They are drawing red lines and telling the US where those lines are.

  9. erik April 14, 2017 at 10:28 am #

NK’s bluster is probably for home front consumption and their development of nukes is obviously defensive as has been the case with other countries.
After 6 decades of threatening bluster from American politicians about “taking out” NK leadership, they perhaps can be forgiven for feeling menaced and wanting to procure the magic vaccine to protect them from American Aggression. Isn’t it funny how American douchebag commentators and politicians talk about “Aggression” on the part of other countries which have zero aggressive designs and whose only real crime is the desire to assert their sovereignty?
In the case of Iran, we hate them for that most fundamental of reasons: they are a runaway slave…

Even the Russians and Chinese developed their nukes for the same reason. The use of the bomb against Japan scared the shit out of the Soviet leadership. When Stalin assembled his people in 1945 to order them to make haste to “provide the bomb” he described the American threat as a Sword of Damocles sort of existential threat which had to be countered as fast as possible to avoid all Russia’s hard won gains from WW2 being erased.

    • zaphod42 April 14, 2017 at 10:43 am #

The real danger is that, whilst they are defensive, they could be launched against, say, Tokyo. Or Seoul (unlikely since they can destroy that collective with artillery). And that neither president has shown sufficient rational capability to avoid using their nukes. I mean, Trump couldn’t even keep from using MOAB! Insanity!

    • SpeedyBB April 16, 2017 at 7:17 pm #

That’s a neat summary, Erik. Thanks for sharing it.

One conjecture I recently came across was that Stalin was poisoned as a desperate measure by his circle of hangers-on because he was determined to provoke an atomic war with the USA (around 1950), and they all knew it would be GAME OVER at that time.

During the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis my late brother, a career USAF officer, commented ‘The only danger would have been to our bombers running into each other’. Dobrynin allegedly informed Washington after it was over that the USSR would never allow itself to be humiliated the same way again. Thus the unending arms race.

‘Dugout Doug’ MacArthur is also said to have wanted to detonate a string of atomic blasts along the China/Korea border, as the UN forces (meaning mostly American grunts) were being overrun by the PLA. Truman gave that the ixnay.

When Chairman Mao was informed of such a potential he just laughed in the faces of his generals and commented ‘It’s just another weapon’, whereupon they arranged for him to personally witness an atmospheric test blast of a nuke. He hurriedly changed his tune after that.

First one goes off: the jig’s up. Even if it’s India and Shittystan playing patty-cake with each other. As the [infinitely more experienced] Premier Khrushchev informed JFK early on in the Cuban affair ‘Mr. President, it is urgent that we come to an understanding quickly on this matter. It can spin out of control and then we as politicians will have no more say in the affair.’

One doubts whether Agent Orange, even with his [snicker] deep understanding of military affairs, knows how chancy the whole business is. That it has not taken place thus far is testimony (if not evidence) to the subtle intervention of God or other benevolent off-planet forces.

End of sermon. Please pass the collection plate.

That we are having this discussion (about NK, not about pot) is itself an indication of who completely screwed, and screwed up, we are.

An absurd, infantile reprobate is running the country, and was a better choice than the Clinton running on the slate of the Party that is totally lying its collective ass off about most everything. At least the Republicans were honest about some of it.

Of course, the real rulers of this sad sack collection of states sit in boardrooms, moving money markers around and pretending that they create wealth, all the while wondering aloud why it seems so ephemeral. They know – we all know – it going to evaporate soon. So, they are enjoying the day. If karma was real, they would all be past tense. If that doesn’t happen soon, we may all be.

Found what you requested: “respectable” website about Count Coudhoven Kalergi and his Plan. Here is their own site – very, very, respectable. The pan Europa movement is apparently the first movement of European unity. If the Common Market was the Father of the EU, this is Great Grandfather perhaps. Now you will not find a word about his racial views here – and his big plans about getting rid of Whites to create a brown Europe ruled by the Jews. This is a Respectable site after all. But the Wikipedia article admits it.

        http://paneuropa.org/gb_int/geschichte.html

        • Janos Skorenzy April 14, 2017 at 2:51 pm #

This is from the Wiki. I hope it meets your criterion. Or if you read German, you could order his book, “Practical Idealism”. One interesting tidbit: Kalergi is said to have been the model for the character Victor Laszlo in the movie Casablanca.

In his book Praktischer Idealismus (Practical Idealism), written in 1925, he describes the future of Jews in Europe and of european racial composition with the following words:[45]

The man of the future will be of mixed race. Today’s races and classes will gradually disappear owing to the vanishing of space, time, and prejudice. The Eurasian-Negroid race of the future, similar in its appearance to the Ancient Egyptians, will replace the diversity of peoples with a diversity of individuals. […]

Instead of destroying European Jewry, Europe, against its own will, refined and educated this people into a future leader-nation through this artificial selection process. No wonder that this people, that escaped Ghetto-Prison, developed into a spiritual nobility of Europe. Therefore a gracious Providence provided Europe with a new race of nobility by the Grace of Spirit. This happened at the moment when Europe’s feudal aristocracy became dilapidated, and thanks to Jewish emancipation.

Janos again: Hitler loathed him, obviously. Not only for his evil views, but because he was a high level Freemason with the power of the Warburgs behind him. A most profound threat, not just some wacko writing in his mother’s basement and father’s garret. I mean, I hope you see that it’s normal to hate someone who wants to erase your people, right? And note: Hitler didn’t initiate the racial animus. Well, you might say, earlier Nordicists did. Are you sure? Maybe that was a reactoin to the animus of others as well. Real threats in other words.

            Janos,

Not a lot of material regarding Kalergi out there, other than this one: The Seven Stages of Multiculturalism by Citizen One. The author’s identity is of course the first red flag, while the print length of only 49 pages and the nearly total lack of relevant reviews is the second. His overall idea that pan-European integration came at the expense of the native peoples of the region was almost certainly a prescient one (albeit rather obvious), but I’m not sure that it in anyway explains or prescribes remedies for our current conditions.

Unfortunately, there are MUCH better explanations for our current ills that DO prescribe remedies for at least short term relief. And they are, very simply: 1.) Begin to ELIMINATE global capitalism and all the wealth inequalities it provides and excuses. 2.) Begin to FORGIVE and SEPARATE the many disparate races and ethnicities which were forced to mix against their will in the name of servicing a global abomination. And 3.) Forsake ONCE AND FOR ALL the global MICC that keeps us perpetually at each others’ throats.

Do all that (and I’ll admit, it’s a TALL order!) and there simply IS NO MORE reason to posit “conspiracy theories” anymore.

          • Janos Skorenzy April 15, 2017 at 12:24 am #

I think I’m missing your last point – or perhaps just don’t agree with it. Conspiracies are everywhere. Good Conspiracy theories identify them – or at least delineate the nature of Conspiracies in general.

The Globalist Order has advanced thru secrecy and lies – a Conspiracy or rather a System of Conspiracies. And to defeat these people, we may have to act secretly and lie about our purposes. Only the dead have seen the end of war, and Conspiracy is part and parcel of war.

Yesterday I again got drunk on sugar-cane moonshine and in a slightly tipsy state I watched on TV a story about nuclear shells for the Russian Armata tanks.

They said that Armata and the tank supporting vehicle radically changed the principles of tank combat in conventional equipment, and in the nuclear one.

And they said that the power of the nuclear projectile is about 1000 times less than the bomb detonated in Hiroshima, that is, about 10 tons of TNT. Which is absolutely incredible and really changes everything I know about the war, since such shells do not need to be fired from a distance of 30 km. 5 km is more than enough.

This is really a tactical weapon for use on the battlefield against enemy tanks, neutralizing all NATO plans to fight Russian tank armadas.

And if such a shell can be made for Armata, then it is not a problem to build such a rocket-torpedo for a submarine. In my opinion, an expert on television hinted that this is it – finita la comedia for NATO.

Meanwhile, the Navy’s Aircraft Carrier Strike Force 1 steams off the waters of North Korea – JHK

    =============

When I read this sentence I wondered if our huge navy ships actually “steam” as they did in days of yore. Or is “steam” one of those words we continue to use because it has been so ingrained…….. like “ice box,” “dialing” or “hanging up” a phone, etc.?

Well, as it turns out from a Google search, yes, these nuke powered Carriers DO “steam.” The nuke power plant creates heat that produces steam that drives turbines and thus props. Just thought you might wonder about this as I did.

I also wondered about the phrase off the waters of North Korea. It seems to me that it should be “on” the waters or “in” the waters off [the coast of] North Korea. “Off” the waters gives me an image of “above” the waters or on the land in the vicinity of waters…. but that makes no sense.

    Just sayin.

    • FincaInTheMountains April 14, 2017 at 12:14 pm #

It probably should say “off territorial waters” of North Korea – a belt of coastal waters extending at 12 nautical miles (13.8 mi) from the coastal line of the country.

Entering territorial waters without permission constitutes an act of war.

    • elysianfield April 14, 2017 at 12:58 pm #

For the moment, it may benefit casual observers to adopt the most cynical attitude possible about the “consensus reports” that emanate from these myriad agencies. What it all finally seems to represent is the snowballing incompetence, venality, mendacity, and impotence of the US government in general, in all its layers and branches.

Yeah, I arrived at that address quite a few months ago.

As for what could go wrong? Provoking North Korea could make them fire all that high-power artillery they have pointed at Seoul. Seoul is a fairly major city in the globalized economy, which has been in the economic ICU ever since late 2008. That could be the “black swan” event that finally topples the proverbial house of cards.

OJ wrote a book (with a ghost writer) where you pretty much admitted doing it. The title, “If I did it”. The ghost said OJ wasn’t organized to keep it hypothetical at all time, lapsing into enthusiastic first person as the hours went by.

“the violent sociopathic “Hip-Hop” model of human interrelations.” –pequiste

Death Metal and Polka were both created by white people, but the music and the message is different for each one.

Rap and Hip Hop were both created by Black people, but the music and the message is different for each one.

Hip hop is not violent or sociopathic. Peace, Love, Unity and Having Fun are the values promoted by Hip Hop.

These values are the foundation of Bambaataa’s Zulu Nation, a Hip Hop awareness organization, started in 1977. Bambaataa used his influence in the streets, including numerous relationships with gang members. Those connections along with his status in the Culture helped form a positive vehicle for countless, mostly, young people. Zulu Nation has reached international status with chapters in other countries.

“when OJ gets out of jail, he will never find the real killer.” –thwack

The book, “O.J. is Innocent and I Can Prove It” presents evidence that exonerates Simpson, just as the court did. Leave OJ alone. He didn’t do it. It is not his responsibility to find the real killer. He has suffered enough.

    • Petro April 14, 2017 at 2:51 pm #

      Wow. Delusional.

Referring to “the court” is confusing and vague. The defense presented ZERO evidence which would have exonerated him. The prosecution presented LOADS of evidence which implicated O.J. as the murderer. The defense’s strategy was to skillfully cast doubt on the prosecution’s evidence, and play to the distrust (mostly well-founded) of the mainly black jury had with the police and courts.

It was a symbolic revenge verdict from a jury wanting to stick it to “The Man.” It’s embarrassing to see someone trying to defend this narcissistic, wife-beating, murderer.

    • DA April 14, 2017 at 6:58 pm #

Well, but let’s be honest. I doesn’t exactly “exonerate him,” now does it? It merely suggests (very CREDIBLY IMO) that OJ covered and took the rap for his son Jason, so in that sense, OJ is STILL guilty of being an accomplice to murder.

Might seem like a small legal detail, but it DOES say a lot about his alleged moral turpitude, or lack thereof. In my personal opinion based on the evidence I’ve seen thus far, I think it’s more likely than not that Jason Simpson was the actual murderer, and that OJ was just the obvious and convenient scapegoat, who, perhaps understandably, helped his son cover up the crime, and subsequently took the rap as well.

If that’s the case, the whole story comes down to just another internecine family conflict that exploded into the LA, and thus world, headlines.

In the end, certainly Nicole Brown Simpson, and almost certainly Ron Goldman as well, lived and loved on the periphery of the LA elite, so they really have no complaint about their eventual fates. That’s just how it goes in such rarefied air!

Whether or not OJ or his son Jason “paid the price” for the murders at this point 25 years later is ENTIRELY beside the point. Two people died horrible deaths, at least one person paid a socially decreed price, and many others on BOTH sides of the personal divide paid a considerable price as well.

And the rest of us get to SPECULATE about it!

Trump is Energizing Democrats… and They are Winning Elections

“We had a pretty good day,” said Dan Kovats, executive director of the Illinois Democratic County Chairmen’s Association. “We won in areas we normally would win, but we also won in areas Republicans never expected us to be competitive in. They were caught flat-footed.”

These may seem like relatively small victories ? we’re talking about municipal races in towns with tens of thousands of people ? but they fit with a broader pattern that should have Republicans on edge ahead of the 2018 elections: Progressive grassroots activism, exploding with energy since President Donald Trump’s win in November, is fueling Democratic gains in GOP strongholds.

The new, hip word I find myself reading on sites similar to CFN is “insouciance”. In fact I read the word here yesterday or the day before.

I first read the word on Paul Craig Robert’s page and thought wow, that’s pretty fancy and people sure are picking up on the parroting–“Polly wanna an original thought!”

I suppose the pronunciation itself does evoke a certain sort of casual lack of concern/indifference like a French lover whispering in his lover’s ear on a romantic Sunday afternoon boat ride.

Back in the day I made it a sort of hobby writing Letters to the Editor to see if I could get published. My object wasn’t to shed profound insight for the benefit of readers but rather, simply, to get published. Secondly, the more prestigious the publication the better. And so, I was always sending off letters to the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Barrons, New Yorker Magazine and the like.

In late 1998 during the height of the Monica Lewinsky scandal I got published in the WSJ. One line of my letter read as follows: “I, for one, am put off at the sight of the president strolling insouciantly toward the First Chopper when he should be hurrying furtively with a coat pulled over his head.”

That’s hubris taken to the extreme. In days past, they were fearful enough of da publick to stay hidden, but now… let’s just say they’re either being very careless, or they’re afraid their grip on the population’s imagination is beginning to slip, thus necessitating bolder measures. Jim, with all due respect, you’ve gradually morphed into a paranoid and incoherent conspiracy theorist.

I used to look forward to your critiques of our unsustainable economic juggernaut with glee, as you put such a fine point on the madness of our fossil-fuel dependent, growth-for-the-sake of growth, aesthetically bankrupt society.

But now you just see CIA agents and angry negroes and Rothschild Jewish bankers skulking behind every tree. You draw white supremacists and the 9-11 ‘truthers’ and other marginally loco disaffected white misfits to your blog like flies to shit. So I barely come here any more. JHK’s political, economic, medical and, of course, happy motoring critiques help confirm for me, at least, that what I see and experience every day is not an hallucination but instead concrete reality.

One may not agree with particulars of the spectrum of Jim’s social commentary but it is welcome relief from the eyewash, hogwash, bullshit and propaganda of the Media-Industrial-Government complex.

A judge got gunned down in front of his house in the Roseland section of Chicago this week. Its thought to be a safe neighborhood, but in Chicago, no place is safe.

Meanwhile, in Islip, Long Island, NY, four bodies were found in the woods, young men, victims of MS13. Islip has been overrun with Salvadorans and other migrants from Central America. A few years back the bodies of 3 young girls were found the same way: cut up with Machetes. The machete seems to be the favorite weapon of these esteemed Central American immigrants.

Voldoya doesn’t think there’s anything special about Whites. Recently Da indicated much the same. One can only shake one’s head in amazement at such wrong headedness. And grieve the depth of their programming. And rage at those who did this to them. And they are just representative types. Most here think much the same way. It’s Liberalism 101 at this point: we’re not better, in fact, we’re far worse. Basically unspeakably evil.

Let them listen to Fred and learn of him.

    Fred Reed, April 13, 2017

If you are a white student in college, you doubtless hear daily that white people are evil, the principal cause of everything wrong with the world. Whiteness is bad, white people are bad. We are to blame for everything.

If you believe this, you are being gamed. What you are being told is nonsense. If you have the intelligence and self-respect to think for yourself, ask:

“What have other races and ethnic groups accomplished in the world compared to what we white people have?”

This question will be shocking to you because you have been carefully programmed not to think such things. But ask. I think you will find that the groups who complain the most have accomplished the least. Check for yourself.

Look around you. Can you find anything with a moving part that was not invented by whites? Anything electronic? Cars, telephones, computers, aircraft, antibiotics, on and on–all sprang from the minds of white people. You are not supposed to say such things, and could be run out of a university for it–but ask yourself, if you have the courage: Is it true? Do not think that because things are commonplace or easy to use that they are not products of fields of extraordinary difficulty.

Look around your university. Who do you see taking the hard subjects–math, chemistry, physics, engineering, philosophy, computer science? Whites and Asians…right? Are they the kind of people who complain constantly about White Privilege? You may notice a pattern here: Those who can, do. The rest bitch and moan.

How about your own classes? You are not blind. If you think for yourself, you can see who the smart ones are, and who are those getting a free ride. Usually, a free ride at your expense. Your professors will not want you to notice this either. The question is whether you have been so profoundly brainwashed that you cannot see the obvious.

Being very young, you will probably have little idea of the vast body of knowledge, won over millenia, behind all the things you take for granted. At your age, I didn’t either. It takes years to get a handle on things. It will be harder for you because your universities will discourage you from looking around you. But glance at the very partial list below (I paste from an ancient column of mine) to get an idea of what the white race has done over the centuries. You will never have heard of many of these things. And that is curious. While your nose is being rubbed into the virtues, often real, sometimes imagined, of other groups, your own race is seldom motioned except to revile it.

Euclidean geometry. Parabolic geometry. Hyperbolic geometry. Projective geometry. Differential geometry. Calculus: Limits, continuity, differentiation, integration. Physical chemistry. Organic chemistry. Biochemistry. Classical mechanics. The indeterminacy principle. The wave equation. The Parthenon. The Anabasis. Air conditioning. Number theory. Romanesque architecture. Gothic architecture. Information theory. Entropy. Enthalpy. Every symphony ever written. Pierre Auguste Renoir. The twelve-tone scale. The mathematics behind it, twelfth root of two and all that. S-p hybrid bonding orbitals. The Bohr-Sommerfeld atom. The purine-pyrimidine structure of the DNA ladder. Single-sideband radio. All other radio. Dentistry. The internal-combustion engine. Turbojets. Turbofans. Doppler beam-sharpening. Penicillin. Airplanes. Surgery. The mammogram. The Pill. The condom. Polio vaccine. The integrated circuit. The computer. Football. Computational fluid dynamics. Tensors. The Constitution. Euripides, Sophocles, Aristophanes, Aeschylus, Homer, Hesiod. Glass. Rubber. Nylon. Skyscrapers. The piano. The harpsichord. Elvis. Acetylcholinesterase inhibitors. (OK, that’s nerve gas, and maybe we didn’t really need it.) Silicone. The automobile. Really weird stuff, like clathrates, Buckyballs, and rotaxanes. The Bible. Bug spray. Diffie-Hellman, public-key cryptography, and RSA. Et cetera at great length.

If you talk about these things on campus, you will be called a “white supremacist.” This is silly. But calling you a racist is an effective way of making you shut up. Do you want to be supreme over anyone? I do not. Yet other races are proud of their achievements. Why should you not be? Ask where they would be without electricity, sterile water, telephones and–well, just about everything.

You hear from your professors that white people were guilty of colonization, slavery, and oppression. This is true. What your professors will not point out is that such behavior was, and is, universal. Human beings are a sorry species, given to murder, torture, genocide, thievery, looting, conquest, and slavery. This has been, and is, true of Africans, American Indians, Latin Americans, Muslims, Christians, Jews, Hindus, Japanese, Chinese, and Europeans.

You might reasonably be proud of these things. Any other race would be. Your people invented virtually the entire modern world. But that is not too important. The important thing is understanding that intellectual advance comes from some groups and not others. This may not seem fair, and you are not supposed to notice it, much less talk about it. Yet it is obvious. You might prefer that it not be true, but it is true.

The current hostility on campus to white people is stupid. The human race faces many serious problems. Trying to cripple the group most likely to solve them is good neither for you, the United States, nor the world. We need a cure for cancer. For reasons involving science that you have probably not heard of, we are getting close. If I were cancer these days, I believe I would go into hiding.

When some team pulls the cancer rabbit out of the hat, it will very likely be a team of white people. The second best guess, and an increasingly good bet, is the Chinese. Third? Japanese or Koreans, but his is not likely. After them, nobody is in the running.

Recognizing the phenomenal achievements of your own race is no reason for arrogance. Arrogance usually betrays inner doubt. The successful do not need it. No, success does not justify you in looking down on others. It does suggest that you need not allow yourself to be scorned. You, as a member of way-and-gone the most successful and creative race and culture the planet has seen, should not put up with it. Don’t brag about our achievements. But know of them..

As a man of appalling age, I have lived in Thailand, Taiwan, Mexico, Vietnam, and Cambodia, traveled in a great many other countries, and both like and respect their peoples. They are not stupid. May they flourish. And yet for whatever reason–the reasons are not clear–they have not approached the accomplishments of the whiter race. There you have it.

It is chiefly in the United States that those who can’t, haven’t, and aren’t likely to, constantly attack those who can and have. Note that while they rail and fume and grouse, they depend utterly on a world created by the people about whom they rail and grouse. To them you might reasonably say, “Come back and talk to me when you have done something worth talking about.” A great silence would follow.

Most browns already know the YT for what he is: idiot savant.

      Intelligence without wisdom. Wanna debate?

Of the last 50 years of invention, see how many are disastrous for YT.

And lets not talk about the non-ending white-on-white crimes. YT, unlike the bantu, is, as you say, intelligent and spouts nice noble words for actions that no brown people would commit. Whether it is the 30years war of raping germanics, massacring brothers in 1865 or cousins in 1916 or nuking ruskies in 2017.

If YT had stopped inventing from 1980s he would still be supreme today. Alas his idiotic savantry cannot be helped.

Fellow Nazi of a different color – Greetings! Yes, you are right: IQ is not wisdom, and we have not been wise. If we had been, not one of you would be over the Rio Grande.

“actions that no brown person would commit” – there we part company. Prove it. To the extent Non-Whites are able, they are every bit as murderous as Whites if not more. As the old saying goes, When Blacks get pissed off, cities burn. When Whites get pissed off, continents burn. Get it? We’re just better at it than you cuz we got the tech. Mind over muscle.

According to some, the Aztecs sacrificed hundreds of thousands of people a year. You got us beat there. That’s something we’d never do. On the other hand, some say our wars are a kind of human sacrifice – over so little or over things that aren’t our business, Korea and Vietnam being good examples.

Janos: “actions that no brown person would commit” – there we part company. Prove it.

          What is there to proove?

Do you see, or expect to see, for example, bantus killing each other to the tune of 1mn for the sake of Boer rights?

Or do you see an equivalence of open borders? Singapore immigration policy, for example, is to maintain the existing racial composition in the city state. U.S policies?

Do you see the equivalence of H1B visas?

Darwin said survival of the fittest. Not the highest IQ. YT behavior is that of the 4 brahmins in Panchatantra of bringing to life a lion just because they can.

When the browns are the biggest group, they will get rid of both you mono-coloreds (white, black). Yet what the great YT does? spends the whole day calling his only potential ally nigger.

Don’t worry. YT achievements will be listed on his tomb; Though doubtful if anybody will bother about it in a World Made by hands.

Ibn al-Fakih al Hamadhani (903) Kitab al Buldan (Book of Countries) from Hamadan Iran’s ancient capital.

A man of discernment said: The people of Iraq have sound minds, commendable passions, balanced natures, and high
proficiency in every art, together with well-proportioned limbs, well-compounded humors, and a pale brown color, which is the most apt and proper color.

They are the ones who are done to a turn in the womb.

          They do not come out with something between blonde, buff, blanched, and leprous coloring, such as the infants dropped from the wombs of the women of the Slavs and others of similar light complexion;

nor are they overdone in the womb until they are burned, so that the child comes out something between black, murky, malodorous, stinking and crinkly-haired, with uneven limbs, deficient minds, and depraved passions, such as the Zanj, the Ethiopians (Hubsan), and other blacks who resemble them.

The Iraqis are neither half-baked dough nor burned crust but between the two.

    A bit of history

Formally, the Korean War was a UN police operation against the North Korean troops that invaded South Korea, and, for unknown reasons, the USSR delegation did not participate in the UN vote on June 25, 1950, immediately after the invasion.

Officially this was due to the fact that China was represented in the UN by the Kuomintang and not by mainland China, and the Soviet delegation boycotted the vote in protest, but in fact it is a dark story and many vicious rumors go around it.

Formally, North Korea fought against the United Nations and South Korea, and informally the USSR and China, together with North Korea, fought against the United States and Great Britain, and the military actions included an episode when on October 8, 1950, American aircraft attacked the Soviet military airfield Sukhaya Rechka near Vladivostok.

  57. FincaInTheMountains April 15, 2017 at 6:38 am #

The atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were acts of intimidation of the Stalin USSR, and not an attempt to force Imperial Japan to capitulate. It was already crushed and ready to surrender after the Soviet Union, in fulfillment of the Yalta and Potsdam agreements, declared war on Japan and attacked the Kwantung Army.

And after the Trans-Baikal Front, which included the corps of Lieutenant-General Oleshev as the shock group, overcame the Great Khingan in 15 days, and advanced on the mountainous terrain by almost 1000 kilometers, reached Mukden and took it, cutting off the almost one-million-strong Kwantung Army from supplies, the Japanese command was faced with the fact of military defeat.

Such a swift defeat of the Kwantung Army made a shocking impression on the US military, who washed with their own blood shortly before, suffering the most severe losses in the entire war during the battle for Okinawa.

The desperate resistance of the Japanese in Okinawa, armed worse than the Kwantung Army, led the Americans to assume that the Soviet army would have to mess with the Japanese in Manchuria all the way up to 1947. And instead – 2 weeks! Instead of 2 years! And what would be the conclusions about the comparative combat capability of the Soviet and American armies, given that the technical advantage was minimal (if any at all)? !!

In addition, it should be kept in mind that after Roosevelt’s death, people who believed that the United States missed the moment when, in the words of Truman, “it was necessary to stop helping the USSR and start helping Germany against the USSR, so they kill each other as much as possible”, gained great influence in the White House.

    ****************************

I keep seeing white people post this “study” all over the web in support of racism; but they seem unconcerned with some of the ridiculous assumptions it makes?

For example, that six month old babies KNOW what a white person is, and by logical progression that THEY are a white person too?

A six month old baby can understand a concept as abstract as race?

    Really?

Where any of the babies homophobic?

Which ones preferred Coke over Pepsi?

Did the babies express sexual bias too?

    Age bias?

    Height bias?

What baby takes a knee when the boob comes out?

That ain’t no baby I ever heard of?

It can be an instinct – a recognition of whose kin and who isn’t. For example, I’ve noticed small Asian children are much less friendly than White children. Cultural? Maybe. Maybe not. I’m not sure it’s ever been studied. But one thing that is known: Black babies are far, far more vocal and energetic than Asian babies. Ask day care workers. This is pre-cultural. Whites are in the middle – as they are on a lot of things.

Are you humble enough to learn from non-Academics? Ask waiters about Black customers – they are the most demanding of all and they tip the least. Just horrible American Culture? Maybe. Maybe not. Black violence is universal – everywhere Blacks are to be found.

Do you really think that thought always comes first? Prove it. It’s a ridiculous idea.

      • S M Tenneshaw April 16, 2017 at 5:56 am #

We know. It’s just a crocka bullshit.

    • Elrond Hubbard April 15, 2017 at 12:25 pm #

I posted about that study also, earlier this week. But I didn’t do it in “support” of racism; I did it in the interest of understanding the landscape we’re on. We learn at a young age what faces are ‘supposed to’ look like; then later in life, we react to faces that look different with fear and dislike. Follow that where it goes without self-reflection and racism is the result.

Prof. Robert Sapolsky talks about this too, in his video lectures. There have been brain-imaging studies confirming it in adults. That’s how human beings are wired. But just because it’s natural behaviour doesn’t mean it’s good, any more than nose-picking is good. Except nose-picking never leads to pogroms, enslavement and genocide. ALMOST never.

    • Janos Skorenzy April 15, 2017 at 2:16 pm #

Little Black children know which is the good doll – the White one. Cultural? Maybe. But Black babies know which is the bad face – the Black one. Not cultural – a reaction to threat.

Blacks know about other Blacks. That’s why many want to live with Whites. But of course they destroy the very think that they seek once they are more than 30% or so of the population of a given area.

–Janos Skorenzy

    *********************

Janos is a perfect example of the phenomenon Ernest Becker described in his book “The Denial of Death.” White supremacy is his cult of immortality every bit as much as Catholicism is an immortality cult for Catholics.

The greatest evil results when these immortality cults feel threatened or under attack because it brings out all the fear, greed and insecurities from the repressed knowledge we all carry about the ultimate doom we associate with our own deaths, which we know will one day come.

Why quote some jooie fraud like becker to have a go at a white nationalist? Very unkind and unportsmanlike. Might as well quote the vile huckster Freud with some kind of “kill daddy, fuck mommy” oedipus accusation. White nationalists are an endangered species in JUSA…couldn’t possibly be 10,000 of them. They have exactly zero representation in government, media, religion, academia, etc. An analogy might be the plight of black nationalist Louis Farrakhan. He was in the news constantly twenty years ago, but then decided to take on the jooies. Within a year, he was disappeared from the “news” and never heard from again……like a dog whose vocal cords are cut to silence an annoying bark.

You may be right, but at least they mostly don’t try to belittle others. As far as talking about women, I think those that do a lot are likely to be sexually frustrated. It takes a lot of work to be in a healthy relationship, or to be self-confident enough to put yourself out there to be available for women. As Ringo Starr said, “It don’t come easy.”

Yeah, but why just us? Aren’t Blacks doing the same thing with their cultural projects and identity groups? If he’s right – and I think he is – it’s what everyone is doing.

When I say he’s right, I mean as a partial expression of truth. He describes what we are running from, not what we are running towards. He assumes there is no God or Truth. I believe there is. He describe the Stick of the Law, not the Carrot.

Why don’t Whites have the same right as everyone else – to have our own Culture and Nations. That’s what you’ve never answered and will never accept. Parasites can’t stand the idea of their Host having rights apart from them.

“One thing that used to occupy the center was public discussion, debate, and argumentation. Now and again, it featured a coherent exchange of ideas. These days, the main political factions are sunk in hysteria of one kind or another. Their primitive promptings hardly add up to ideas but rather limbic spasms of fear and rage. And then there is the shadow partner of the two parties called the Deep State, led by the quaintly dubbed “Intelligence Community.” These birds, many of them lifers, are dedicated to making the public discussion of anything as incoherent as possible so as to prevent any change in policy that might curtail the growth of the Deep State, a sort of cancer of the body politic.”

Well Geez-Louise, after wading through mountains of manure in this comment section, that’s an accurate stinger of a paragraph! …Wonder who could have written that?

    What could go wrong, really?

Ideally, the US will be able to hit roughly one target with three effective missiles (we take into account that 90% of the targets are mobile). Moreover, the probability of surviving the SAM and silo installations is zero. Also, it is unlikely that the Americans will pay much attention to short-range missiles. Thus, it is likely that, after the first strike, a minimum of 200 short-range ballistic missiles and 200 medium-range will survive. Of these, probably not more than a couple dozen Nodon-V/S missiles will remain alive, which can hit the US Navy bases in Guam and Okinawa.

The rest of the US bases in Japan and South Korea will also get North Korean “Scuds” and “Nodon-A”, which will survive up to 200 units. If the problem of creating a nuclear warhead is solved (which is very likely), about 20 of them will be ready to start within 10-20 minutes after the first strike by the United States.

An average of 2 for each US base (and possibly for Japanese nuclear power plants). Consider that their strike could only be intercepted by deployed in South Korea missile defense system THAAD (as far as they are ready is still a question) and the “Patriot” missile system in Japan. Also there will be at least one ship with SM-3 missiles (from the AAG Carl Vinson) and at least two or three such ships based on the Yokosuka Navy Base in Japan.

One North Korean Ballistic Missile Submarine can now be deployed either near Hawaii or in the area of the Western coast of the US, from where it will try to attack US with a nuclear warhead.

Modern small diesel submarines are able to easily escape from American nuclear submarines, without even having an air-independent propulsion system. The task of the North Korean submarine is to quietly approach the US Navy Base and blow it up. It does not have to chase after anyone, which means that in this case the factor of hidden high underwater speed will not play any role.

And if there is a “milking cow” in the ocean – a filling tanker – then a blow can be inflicted along the western coast of the USA (for example, in Los Angeles or San Francisco). It’s not for nothing that a Korean boat is being searched today in these areas (so far it’s unsuccessful which does not surprise me, it’s easier to find a needle in a haystack).

And there are a couple dozens of obsolete large submarines that are practically useless in the underwater war, but they can be sailed to the US coast with a nuclear charge on board (this is if there are no nuclear warheads yet). Even if one of them breaks through and blows up its nuclear-gift in the area of the American metropolis, the whole Trump adventure will be a smashing fiasco and impeachment in this case will be a reward for him.

Meanwhile, all the surviving Nodon-S and Nodon-B and KN-14 missiles will be launched into Guam and Okinawa in the hope that at least one will break through the missile defense and reach its target.

This is a scary thought. If NK does something like this, then it will cease to exist except as a poisoned wasteland with no trees, no food-growing areas, highly irradiated and some miserable survivors. The NOKOs will attack Seoul and flatten it, but SK would survive. I’m not worried about Russia and China. Remember, in a nuclear war, no one really escapes. Who wants to rule a glass desert from underground bunkers? To never feeling sunlight again? I think the Chinese and Russians are too sane to start a nuclear war if the USA wipes out a 3rd country after itself being nuked.

  63. volodya April 15, 2017 at 10:57 am #

Thwack, I can say again what I’ve said before about looking at the broad strokes of history and assessing the relative advancement of various peoples at different times.

What I said, in brief, is that there were long stretches of time when European White people lagged far behind other non-European and non-White people in terms of technological and cultural and material advancements of various kinds. And also, different innovations, like agricultural breakthroughs and mathematical and numbering systems and alphabetic script, which enabled Europeans to advance, came from people outside Europe, that is to say non-Whites.

Which is to say, in brief, that Whites contributed to the sum total of human knowledge. That is obvious. But others did too. That too is obvious. Or should be. And White-European-American advances came after long eras of stagnation during which others took the lead. If you say that Whites are special now, then others could use the same reasoning at various points in history to assert their own superiority.

White people may be the most advanced at present and for the last few hundred years. But the historical record and the pre-historical record tells us this wasn’t always the case.

I’ll say again, two thousand years ago Amerindians were building dazzling cities in Mexico with spectacular pyramids and observatories and works of art and broad plazas and avenues. What were the supposedly superior Germanic peoples of the time doing? On the basis of the relative advancement of those two peoples at that time, who would Janos say was the superior breed, the brown Asiatic-descended peoples of Mexico or the white-skinned northern European?

As Fred sez, he’s lived among various peoples and for reasons that aren’t clear, they haven’t approached the accomplishments of the whiter race. What Fred doesn’t say, is that for long stretches of time, the reverse was true.

But you know, you can use obvious and simple reasoning like this, that reasonable people can understand without too much trouble, but it won’t make any difference. In these things, facts don’t matter.

    • malthuss April 15, 2017 at 11:19 am #

Supposing the great white race has always been in the lead inventing stuff.

      Does it matter?

As Thwack mentioned in a previous week, does it matter?

Is a negro not to be treated as human because his ancestors never invented anything?

Is he not allowed to use a product that was invented without any negro input?

Or maybe guys like Newton or that guy who invented the wheel has a 10000 year racial patent on it.

      • Janos Skorenzy April 15, 2017 at 3:35 pm #

Good point. Why do you guys treat them like shit? Why is Compton brown now? The Browns drove the Blacks out. And they are doing likewise all over Southern California. The war continues in prisons, neighborhoods, and schools throughout America. You are a much stronger more organized people and the poor Blacks don’t have a chance. Yet you will not relent. You know well if you do, they will show no mercy on you. You are a Natural, for your own. I salute you. You are as we once were, following the Law of Enmity and Amity as the great Sir Arthur Keith put it. In layman’s terms, you balance love for your own with hatred for the other.

In the official sphere, Blacks and Browns are united to dispossess the Whites, both parts of the Grievance Alliance. But unlike with Whites, this doesn’t confuse you at all: you are for your own. Rogue alliances end as soon as the Whites have been utterly crushed and robbed of everything. I salute you again. We’ll be waitin’ for ye’s when you come. Remember the Alamo.

          Whites get better treatment because:

So which race invented modern science and the experimental method, the fruits of which are the Modern World. C’mon, you know.

Other peoples were ahead of us materially at various points, but none had science per se.

Btw, it may well be the Death of us. We are not wise enough to handle it, obviously. Our Cholo friend above isn’t wrong, though of course he uses it as an indictment of Whites – while lusting after the fruits as much anybody else.

An Ancient Roman or Chinaman could have understood each other’s cultures – and the Culture of their own people until the 1800’s. After that it would have been incomprehensible to them. Science – invented by Whites – has changed everything. And yes, the concept of zero transmitted by the Arabs from India, has been key. That is a real contribution. Chinese playing around with gunpowder or noticing static electricity – nothing comes from that. They were good material observers, but even Franklin’s crude experiments, they never thought to do.

Sorry, but science was built upon the progress of human civilization. What do you think? That one day, voila!, some white guy invented science?

We can go back 12,000 years to when man domesticated animals to demonstrate science in use. The Babylonians invented writing, basically, without which science could not have developed. The Egyptians developed mummification, an early form of chemistry.

See what happens when you become a racist? You get so closed-minded that you only get an incomplete picture of reality, and therefore limit human advancement. I’d go so far as to state racism is the root cause of most of our current problems.

          • Janos Skorenzy April 16, 2017 at 3:05 pm #

Nope. Whites invented the scientific method – and no one else. And the Phonecians invented writing – not the Jews.

  65. volodya April 15, 2017 at 11:56 am #

Yeah but Matthus, a couple thousand years ago the material culture of Germanic people, people that tell everyone that they’re racially superior, was on a par with that of subsaharan Blacks. What would you conclude from that? For millennia the material culture of Europe was nowhere near that of other non-white parts of the world. Would you therefore conclude that Whites were inferior?

From the perspective of four thousand years ago or three thousand years ago, Europeans looked awfully backwards compared to other places. From the perspective of the European Dark Ages, Europe was taking giant steps in reverse, literacy was declining, trade was drying up, cities were being abandoned, population was declining. And it wasn’t obvious to anyone at the time that things would improve anytime soon. In fact it took a thousand years to climb out of it.

The point is that the clock hasn’t stopped ticking, we don’t know what’s coming out of Africa or Africans in the future just like from the perspective of three thousand years ago nobody could foresee what was coming out of Europe. And if you make the assertion that Black Africans haven’t contributed much more than sharp sticks, remember that for a long time the same criticism could apply to Europeans.

Obama’s half brother said something similar: When Whites arrived, Malaysians and Black Africans lived in a similar way in tropical environments. The Malaysians learned much from the Whites. The Blacks learned nothing. Likewise, the Germans were very impressed by Rome and wanted to be part of it – and proved themselves most capable of so doing. The Blacks have shown interest, but no such capacity.

You can pretty much dismiss what the – cough – “Intelligence” Community asserts. Lyin’ bastards one and all, mind-boggling bunglers besides. I mean, to waste government funds by employing trolls to plague sites like Kunstler’s? Please.

Meanwhile, world-shaking events are on the hop, all of which will take these bozos totally by surprise, as sure as we’re sitting here. Why? Too much cloak and dagger play-acting, too much watching wheels that aren’t there, turning within wheels that are coming off.

Think I’m making this up? The CIA was blindsided by the Iranian revolution. It didn’t see the imminent collapse of the Soviet Union either. So, the question is this, why the fuck is any money being spent on these nitwits?

Then there’s the FBI. Comey was up to his neck in the muck of Hillary’s criminal neglect and corruption, yet his “investigation” revealed nothing. And Bill met with Loretta on the tarmac that infamous day. And they talked about their grand-kids. No, let’s just assume the more likely scenario, that they talked about Hillary’s Get-Out-of-Jail card and that Comey’s “investigation” was nothing of the sort, it was a going-through-the-motions performance of due diligence that had as its aim getting Hillary’s ass off the hook. This was a whitewash if I ever saw one.

Now Comey’s “investigating” Trump’s collusion with the Russians. It’s been months, at least since last July, and maybe since last March, depending on what account you believe. Let’s just say that this farce is just part of a larger effort to get rid of Trump. And no, nobody was spying on Trump. And if you believe that, then there’s bridges for sale in Brooklyn.

    Re the MOAB,

For historical context, in WW2 the RAF used a 22,000 lb Grand Slam bomb, which was the descendant of the 12,000 lb Tall Boy bomb.

So, the Mother of All Bombs that was dropped on the Taliban is actually the daughter or grand daughter.

And the RAF used as their delivery system the Avro Lancaster 4 engine bomber whose usual capacity bomb load was about 12,000 lbs but whose bomb bay could be modified to take the Tall Boy and Grand Slam.

      Father of All Bombs

Aviation Thermobaric Bomb of Increased Power (ATBIP) is a Russian-designed, bomber-delivered thermobaric weapon. In describing the destructive power of “FOAB”, deputy chief of the Russian general staff Alexander Rukshin was quoted as saying, “all that is alive merely evaporates.”

The bomb is reportedly four times as powerful as the US military’s GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast bomb (whose official military acronym “MOAB” is often unofficially rendered as “Mother of All Bombs”) and fits the standard size bomber.

This Russian device would therefore be the most powerful conventional weapon in the world.

“FOAB” was successfully field-tested in the late evening of September 11, 2007.

Both Janos and Thwack are confused and wrong. Thwack believes “white supremacy/separatism” is a pathological cult while Janos believes that it doesn’t exist at all; that the “white race” has been subsumed by “the others”.

In fact, generally speaking and not “the particular/incidental”, whites feel so strongly about themselves that they self segregate quietly and with very little public fanfare. Formerly white school districts across the land are now populated with the children of illegal immigration and with very few white kids populating these school districts.

Obviously, whites ‘think enough of themselves’ and their children that they don’t subject their children to sub-standard education.

And despite the hyperbolic declarations of Thwack, whites aren’t motivated by ‘cultism’ in doing so but simply by the sober considerations of safety and insulation from racial violence.

    Yes, I wrote: racial violence.

To place a white child in a predominantly latino or black school is akin to child abuse for the possibility of racially fueled violence/psychological abuse in these environments is not small.

And it is not just me typing unsubstantiated nonsense. The proof resides in racial segregation in neighborhoods and school districts across the land.

True, Buck. But the Whites often lie to themselves about what they are doing. As they flee Cholo California, they rave about looking for “clean air” or “good schools”. When they get to their new homes, the begin the process of turning their new state into another brown hellhole. Look what they’re doing to make Colorado into Cholo Colorado.

So you admit racism against Whites. What else am I right about? That the races should be kept separate? Obviously. That the State won’t grant Whites this most fundamental of rights, without which Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness are impossible, namely the right of free association? Will you then admit that Whites must take it for themselves? Somehow…. And that we will really only know peace once we have our own nations again? Congratulations, you are a White Nationalist. Considering us superior isn’t necessary, though of course we are – in some ways. In other ways, not.

      • Buck Stud April 15, 2017 at 3:58 pm #

It’s not a matter of “admitting”; it’s a matter of having seen it over and over again, and having talked with others who have experienced it.

If racism is to be discussed honestly, then it must be admitted that racism exists in all races.

Most racism discussed recently is in the context of police racism/black lives matter. Yes, while some policing seems to be very obviously racist, what one doesn’t see is all the “context” that leads up to the “racial event”. IOW, patrolling the hood, day after day, month after month, year after year inevitably “programs” a regrettable response. And yet, we never see or hear about all the noble restraint of police officers in very violent and dangerous environments.

I know quite a few black and mexican individuals and although cordial when communicating, I have no black or mexican friends. I also know even more white people and although cordial when communicating, I also have no white friends. I like to live in peace and quiet and well, you get the drift on that count.

My last friend, a true master artist from the old Soviet Union is now deceased. His mother was Jewish and his father a pilot in the Soviet air force who drank too much. What a mind and what a spirit–I miss that dude.

Admission is very difficult for many because equality is a religion for many. Voldoya can and would talk for hours about how great other races are – but nary a word in favor of his own. Once this mindset is the ruling ethos – as it is – what other result can there be but the dispossession of his own people in favor of other races who do love themselves? Thus he is outside the flow of Life – a traitor for all intents and purposes. You are outside the flow to some extent for other, more noble reasons. Volyoda asserts the “barbarism” of oh humans and history is equivalent. John Ruskin, the ‘greatest master of ornate prose’ disagrees. He asserts that there is something noble and idiosyncratic about the Northern European.

And yet, as only he could do, Ruskin transforms his Eurocentric viewpoint into some universal and global. (I wonder how many here will read, much less comprehend this magnificent essay/lecture.):

Behold the dying of the Light. Argentina was once a flourishing White, European Society. Buenos Aires had more bookstores per capita than Paris. But decades of uncontrolled immigration from Mestizo countries has transformed Argentina into another brown hell hole. The remaining White huddle together in closed, armed, walled communities, much like South Africa. But their end, either violent or thru miscegenation (or both), is only a matter of time. The borders are the skin of the National Body. Once perforated, death from infection is certain, either in the long run or the short.

Surplus nonwhite people are the very thing that gives value to the white mans money; matter of fact, the non white people ARE the money.

The non white “illegal immigrants” have to WORK far harder for a dollar than a white man; therefore, the white mans dollar increases in value with every non white person they bring in. Everything the non white person needs comes from the white man, so this added demand inflates the value of all the money, wealth and means of production the white man already controls.

Congratulations everybody: Holy Fire has come down!

This year, it’s more important than ever

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJSt8hGMJV0

Orthodox tradition holds that the Holy Fire happens annually on the day preceding Orthodox Pascha (Orthodox Easter), in which a blue light emanates within Jesus Christ’s tomb (usually rising from the marble slab covering the stone bed believed to be that upon which Jesus’ body was placed for burial) now in the Holy Sepulchre, which eventually forms a column containing a form of fire, from which candles are lit, which are then used to light the candles of the clergy and pilgrims in attendance.

The fire is also said to spontaneously light other lamps and candles around the church. Pilgrims and clergy claim that the Holy Fire does not burn them.

Regarding Ruskin and his wedding night, is it only myth, the “baring of the bush?” He couldn’t consummate the marriage because of what he considered some “artistic” flaw in his wife’s body. Also, there is, in his own writing, evidence pointing to pedophilia.

Here is some Proust on Ruskin, on a more elevated level:

If we accept, then, that there are strong psychological undertones in [192/193] Ruskin’s work, but do not stop our investigations there, the fact remains that from a purely literary point of view Ruskin’s imagery is obsessive. This led Marcel Proust (for whom studying and translating Ruskin was an important step in his development) to accuse Ruskin of ‘fetishism.’ Comparing him with the Symbolist painter Gustave Moreau, a surprising but perceptive comparison, Proust detected an ‘adoration of the symbol for the symbol’s sake.’ At first Proust considered this a useful consequence of the close study of Christian art, ‘a form of fetishism not likely to do harm to minds like theirs, which, fundamentally, were so deeply attached to the feeling symbolized that they could pass from one symbol to another without finding any obstacle in mere surface differences’ (‘John Ruskin’ 69). But he developed this concept of Ruskin’s ‘iconolatry’ into a potentially damaging criticism.

Proust accused Ruskin of insincerity. Quoting him against himself on the dangers of idolatry, ‘the serving with the best of our hearts and minds, some dear or sad fantasy which we have made for ourselves’ (20.66), Proust finds this idolatry at the root of Ruskin’s work. The object of his idolatry was beauty, which he felt obliged to sacrifice to duty, but could not. The result was a perpetual struggle between idolatry and sincerity, fought over every page of his books, and within his psyche. In Proust’s words:

It is in those hidden regions that the imagination receives the record of things seen, that intelligence stores up the influence of ideas, that memory is impressed by the impact of thought. By very reason of the choice which a man’s essential nature is compelled to make of these things, it performs, incessantly, an act of self-assertion, and so is for ever determining the bent of its spiritual and moral life. It was in these regions, I feel, that Ruskin never wholly ceased to commit the sin of idolatry. At the very moment that he was preaching sincerity, he lacked it. It was not what he said that was insincere, but the manner of his saying. The doctrines he professed were moral, not aesthetic, yet he chose them for their beauty. And because he did not want to present them formally as things of beauty, but as statements of truth, he was forced to lie to himself about the reasons that had led him to adopt them.8

Proust’s cynicism shows the extent to which the unified moral vision of mid-nineteenth century thinkers like Ruskin had broken down by the beginning of the twentieth century. Proust cannot believe that Ruskin genuinely saw beauty as a gift from God, and the forms of beauty as examples of the right ordering of society. It is true that Ruskin chose ideas for their beauty, but there is no contradiction with morality, since he regarded beauty as an expression of moral truth. Proust, influenced [193/194] by the décadence, confuses beauty and truth; Ruskin in Modern Painters 2 dismissed this as ‘asserting that propositions are matter, and matter propositions’ (4.66). Beauty was the result of truth, the by-product of more important activities, be they worshipping God, or harmonizing man’s relationships. He vehemently resisted the doctrine of art for art’s sake — or beauty for beauty’s sake, which Proust claims was his secret motivation. This was not the resistance of a man who loves what he fears, but of a man who wished to preserve the truth of what he saw from distortion.

Proust was harsh because he needed to break away from the influence of Ruskin, and because he recognized the obsession with imagery in himself. His accusation of idolatry was a valuable insight; but where Proust saw only the pathetic worship of empty images, Ruskin had faith that the values he venerated in image form could guide human conduct.

The difficulty of Ruskin’s idolatry is that it takes a particularly visual form. Another French writer, Robert de la Sizeranne, noticed: ‘Occupied always with visual sensations, Ruskin passes without transition from the red of vermilion to the red colour of blood — because in colour there is no transition…….

There is much more. One side of the coin is brilliant, the other tarnished to an extent we can’t fully know.

There is no transition in color?–LOL.

Read “Ruskin and the Religion of Beauty”, by Sizeranne.

        He’s commenting on what Ruskin himself says, quote;

“…..but when the whole world turns clown, and paints itself red with its own heart’s blood instead of vermilion, it is something else than comic, I think”.

I admit, it can be difficult to interpret both the artist and the critic.

    • Buck Stud April 15, 2017 at 11:05 pm #

Forget Proust and other effeminate French critics; Ruskin in his own words:

” This statue, then, marks the culminating point of Gothic art, because, up to this time, the eyes of its designers had been steadily fixed on natural truth—they had been advancing from flower to flower, from form to form, from face to face,—gaining perpetually in knowledge and veracity—therefore, perpetually in power and in grace. But at this point a fatal change came over their aim. From the statue they now began to turn the attention chiefly to the niche of the statue, and from the floral ornament to the mouldings that enclosed the floral ornament. The first result of this was, however, though not the grandest, yet the most finished of northern genius. You have, in the earlier Gothic, less wonderful construction, less careful masonry, far less expression of harmony of parts in the balance of the building. Earlier work always has more or less of the character of a good solid wall with irregular holes in it, well carved wherever there is room. But the last phase of good Gothic has no room to spare; it rises as high as it can on narrowest foundation, stands in perfect strength with the least possible substance in its bars; connects niche with niche, and line with line, in an exquisite harmony, from which no stone can be removed, and to which you can add not a pinnacle; and yet introduces in rich, though now more calculated profusion, the living element of its sculpture: sculpture in the quatrefoils—sculpture in the brackets— sculpture in the gargoyles—sculpture in the niches—sculpture in the ridges and hollows of its mouldings,—not a shadow without meaning, and not a light without life.[9] But with this very perfection of his work came the unhappy pride of the builder in what he had done. As long as he had been merely raising clumsy walls and carving them like a child, in waywardness of fancy, his delight was in the things he thought of as he carved; but when he had once reached this pitch of constructive science, he began to think only how cleverly he could put the stones together. The question was not now with him, What can I represent? but, How high can I build—how wonderfully can I hang this arch in air, or weave this tracery across the clouds? And the catastrophe was instant and irrevocable. Architecture became in France a mere web of waving lines,—in England a mere grating of perpendicular ones. Redundance was substituted for invention, and geometry for passion; tho Gothic art became a mere expression of wanton expenditure, and vulgar mathematics; and was swept away, as it then deserved to be swept away, by the severer pride, and purer learning, of the schools founded on classical traditions.

You cannot now fail to see, how, throughout the history of this wonderful art—from its earliest dawn in Lombardy to its last catastrophe in France and England—sculpture, founded on love of nature, was the talisman of its existence; wherever sculpture was practised, architecture arose—wherever that was neglected, architecture expired; and, believe me, all you students who love this mediaeval art, there is no hope of your ever doing any good with it, but on this everlasting principle. Your patriotic associations with it are of no use; your romantic associations with it—either of chivalry or religion—are of no use; they are worse than useless, they are false. Gothic is not an art for knights and nobles; it is an art for the people: it is not an art for churches or sanctuaries; it is an art for houses and homes: it is not an art for England only, but an art for the world: above all, it is not an art of form or tradition only, but an art of vital practice and perpetual renewal. And whosoever pleads for it as an ancient or a formal thing, and tries to teach it you as an ecclesiastical tradition or a geometrical science, knows nothing of its essence, less than nothing of its power.”

Russian General advice to Pentagon: Next time, use air balloons, not cruise missiles

The figures of the supposedly high efficiency of a massive missile strike at the Shayrat airbase sounded in the Pentagon are made up for the American public, and not for professionals” said the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Major-General Igor Konashenkov.

“Firstly, it is worth recalling that all the targets of American cruise missiles were located on a narrow patch and satellites could’ve studied them along and across in the classical military airfield.

Secondly, the targets themselves were mainly large in size and volume buildings and structures. Therefore, if 59 Tomahawk cruise missiles would not have been launched from hundreds of miles away, but simply dropped in a pile from the air balloons over Shayrat, the effectiveness of such a “strike” would be equal and at a cost of much less than $100 million, with pretty much the same result”

    https://www.vesti.ru/doc.html?id=2876654

I have my own theory: Pentagon screwed up and instead of dropping the Big Mama of All Bombs on the Shayrat airbase, they dropped in the middle of nowhere in Afghanistan.

    Ooops….

      emphasize……hahaha

      Pretty sure you meant empathize.

Here, you may find this useful too:

To sum up the differences between the most commonly used meanings of these two terms: sympathy is feeling compassion, sorrow, or pity for the hardships that another person encounters, while empathy is putting yourself in the shoes of another.

        sorry didn’t notice the misspelling.

“If racism is to be discussed honestly, then it must be admitted that racism exists in all races.” –Buck Stud

Prejudice exists in all races, but prejudice is not the same as racism.

The systematic oppression of one race by another (racism) does not exist in all races. Racism, for example in apartheid, gives you the right to enslave, torture, and imprison members of another race. Not all races engage in that kind of behavior. Whites have.

Other races HAVE been prejudiced against whites, but not racist, because racism is systematic institutionalized violence (using police, courts, prisons) against another race. Far as I know, no other race in modern times has practiced sanctioned racism against whites, but whites in modern times have practiced and institutionalized racism against Blacks.

    • elysianfield April 16, 2017 at 10:49 am #

      Janet,
Racism- the systematic (systemic?) oppression of one race by another.

“Far as I know, no other race in modern times has practiced sanctioned racism against whites, but whites in modern times have practiced and institutionalized racism against Blacks.”

You limit your definition to races that are currently in power…thus the oppressed cannot be racists…and so racism is a function of authority, and not personal actions nor responsibility. (Snort!)

Whites are racist in America, but Blacks are racist in South Africa?

Jews were oppressed under German rule, but now are the oppressors in Palestine…both racist by your definition.

Your definition is foolish and unworkable. It absolves the individual from personal responsibility.

    Three Putin’s trump cards

President Vladimir Putin at the global level holds in his hands three major geopolitical trump cards. And they are well known to the US power elite.

The first trump card is about the attack on September 11, 2001 on the towers of the World Trade Center in the United States. To cut through the armor of the skyscraper with airplane from the duralumin, is equivalent to trying to hit the armor of a tank with a tin can.

The second trump card of Putin is the erroneous destruction of Russian nuclear submarine Kursk by American submarine USS Memphis. The launch of American torpedoes was made by mistake in the automatic defense against the attack of the torpedo launched in training mode. American submarine at the time was secretly in the territorial waters of Russia monitoring the course of the exercises. Russian reciprocal military operation and the beginning of the world war was stopped by a phone call from the US President, where it was said that this was not a declaration of war, but a mistake, followed by a large reparation payment.

The third trump card of Putin is coordinated with the Soviet Union Hollywood mystification of the landing of Americans on the Moon to restore the lost prestige of the United States in the conquest of space. The problem lies in the hard cosmic radiation outside the immediate terrestrial magnetic belt of the Earth, which can not be sustained by any living cell. Even now, only near-Earth manned flights are possible.

On April 3, 2017 Putin, responding to a question from the media forum on ways to explore deep space, said that this will be done with the help of robots. Few people know, Putin said, that in today’s conditions a living cell can not survive in a hard far space.

These three facts are very well known to all conceptually literate people who think outside of customized analytics and TV shows. But one thing is information within a narrow circle, and another possible disclosure of these facts from the mouth of a recognized leader of international politics.

From time to time Putin makes hints to avoid events that are undesirable for Russia.

Yeah theres that, but I would posit navigational issues being as being a larger problem even including unmanned space craft. As you scale vehicles up in mass in order to carry humans, thrust direction and timing becomes much more critical.

But yeah, its interesting that NASA didn’t even bother to send a monkey out side the Van Allen radiation belts before the allegedly sent 3 humans around the moon?

From John Whitehead on Information Clearing House……
Beware the Dogs of War: Is the American Empire on the Verge of Collapse?

Of all the enemies to public liberty war is, perhaps, the most to be dreaded because it comprises and develops the germ of every other. War is the parent of armies; from these proceed debts and taxes… known instruments for bringing the many under the domination of the few.… No nation could preserve its freedom in the midst of continual warfare. — James Madison

April 15/16, 2017 “Information Clearing House” – Waging endless wars abroad (in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and now Syria) isn’t making America—or the rest of the world—any safer, it’s certainly not making America great again, and it’s undeniably digging the U.S. deeper into debt.

In fact, it’s a wonder the economy hasn’t collapsed yet.

Indeed, even if we were to put an end to all of the government’s military meddling and bring all of the troops home today, it would take decades to pay down the price of these wars and get the government’s creditors off our backs. Even then, government spending would have to be slashed dramatically and taxes raised.

    You do the math.

John, “The Truth” shines like a diamond, and a diamond shines most brightly because of its FACETS. Thus “The Truth” is not two dimensional as you present it, but spherical like the earth we reside on.

Of course, facets can be refined and reduced in size, so refined and small that there appears to have no facets at all, just one smooth flat surface.

Thus, those limited by vision and understanding mistake this optical illusion as flat, two dimensional “Truth”.

What exactly is the highest instance controlling the fate of the world?

Or even simpler: “Is there is a God?” Or is everyone in this world is run by other powerful forces, for example, the so-called “corporate interest”? From the internal belief of the commentator depends his forecast of the development of events around the hot spots and the whole world crisis.

If there is no God, but only “corporate interest “, or “instinct of power”, then the forecast is very pessimistic. Sooner or later, the predatory instincts of the elite and the complementary anything-goes-and-nothing-matters reflexes of the townsfolk would bring this world to the brink of the abyss, and then would go further.

And there are no equilibrium forces in this world, if there is no God.

The United States use other available channels for communication with the Russian Federation regarding flights over Syria

The operation of the memorandum between Russia and the United States on the prevention of air incidents in Syria is still suspended after the Tomahawk attack, the United States uses other available channels for communication with the Russian Federation, military-diplomatic source told Interfax News Agency on Saturday.

“The Syrian sky is very small by the standards of military aviation, so the American side on other accessible channels, often asks us for permission to enter a certain area of Syrian airspace,” Interfax source said .- We understand the importance of ensuring safety of flights and therefore we often cooperate with them”

According to the source, the memorandum provided for constant interaction between the Russian and American command to exclude any incidents in the sky of Syria. “Moreover, a number of officers of the command of our air group in Khmeimim developed good personal relations with the Americans during the contacts” he said.

Russia and the United States are exchanging information on Syria through existing channels, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said on Friday. However, he said that it is not possible for Moscow to officially announce the resumption of the Russian-American mechanism to prevent incidents.

“One thing that used to occupy the center was public discussion, debate, and argumentation.”

It could again if we convert churches to local ethical debate societies where local, state and national issues and laws were politely debated, and above all, understood in factual terms instead of the fake news sky-is-falling chain email fashion. Debates of ethics could include biblical passages that speak to an issue, along with other perspectives. Voter registration, civics education, League of Women Voters, there’s a long list of needs in our society that could be filled by local gathering places, free of all religious fiction.

Recycled church buildings could host social organizations of many stripes, from kids in scouting, to the Lions Club, to the neighborhood soccer team. On a few trips to Germany over the years I noticed most small towns had its own sports/swim club, a place for locals to actually play as opposed to sitting on our fat American asses, swilling beer and watching mega-million dollar pro athletes on TV. My father’s generation used to work all day in smokestack industries then go play hardball in local industrial leagues. Ever see an obese soccer player?

    Happy Easter.

“Prejudice exists in all races, but prejudice is not the same as racism.”–Janet K. Rugman

Racist: showing or feeling discrimination or prejudice against people of other races, or believing that a particular race is superior to another.

Janet I understand your point regarding systemic/institutionalized racism; that is indisputable, or at least was at one point in history (for now, let’s not debate if that’s still the case).

But according to the accepted definition of racist, “prejudice” is the dominating characteristic. IOW, and in order to muddy the waters, you have split the atom one too many times in order to validate a distinction.

What you’re doing, disingenuously I believe, is conflating “prejudge”–to judge before considering the evidence–with prejudice–an adverse judgment or opinion formed beforehand or without knowledge of the facts. IOW, you have attempted to compassionate “prejudice” in order to separate it from the far more sinister “racist”.

And not only that but you do what Galt does: delineate with no consideration of “gradation”. Even if your attempt to delegitimize the definition of racist was sincere and correct, there would still be no hard line between racist and prejudice.

And I’m sure the poor white kid who just had his head bashed in by a roving gang of black youth engaging in a little “knockout game” fun wouldn’t appreciate your distinction.

But just for fun Janet, what about those two animals who pulled Reginald Denny from his truck, threw a brick into his skull and then celebrated in the aftermath–were they just engaging in some “justifiable prejudice” ( justifiable because, you know, an eye for an eye and all that shit) or were they in fact, the most despicable form of scum racists imaginable even though the act was not institutionally sanctioned?

    • Janos Skorenzy April 16, 2017 at 3:20 pm #

Minorities have no power? Even in their own countries where they are the majority? Or in their own neighborhoods and cities? Or in prison when they are the majority? It’s a stupid idea devoid of Truth – but it has proven very effective in stifling debate and silencing White people. And that’s all the Left ever asks for: not Truth but “cash value” to use a term from William James’ Pragmatism.

A few years ago, after the bus driver punched that girl who spit on him; I though about making a compilation video of females getting punched.

      Does one exist?

If so, please post the link.

Too many women have a romantic view of “man world” until they realize its a world of accountability.

Every little boy learns early on that there are some things you just don’t say unless you are prepared to trade punches?

This is why men are better than women.

    “no;

    the logic is,

if blacks are bad, then “Any white person having anything to do with blacks” is automatically subject to suspicion of being a bad white person.

This includes you talking to me.”–Thwack

The article that inspired this exchange was about MS-13, not blacks.

So why did you and Elyiansfield turn the topic to blacks?

In fact, look no further than South Central LA, which was once predominantly black–80% roughly–to predominantly hispanic–75%.

Maybe blacks don’t want anything to do with MS-13 types?

      Buck,
It is now common knowledge that the blacks are leaving Compton and other LA enclaves in record numbers, and are now minorities in Compton, Englewood, etc.

The blacks may not want anything to do with MS-13 types, but maybe MS-13 types want something to do with them?

    Finca writes:

“The second trump card of Putin is the erroneous destruction of Russian nuclear submarine Kursk by American submarine USS Memphis. The launch of American torpedoes was made by mistake in the automatic defense against the attack of the torpedo launched in training mode. American submarine at the time was secretly in the territorial waters of Russia monitoring the course of the exercises. Russian reciprocal military operation and the beginning of the world war was stopped by a phone call from the US President, where it was said that this was not a declaration of war, but a mistake, followed by a large reparation payment.”

Finca I’m a little confused. You assert that ‘Russia has won the arms race’; an assertion that I didn’t dispute (I’m ignorant on the subject and you read like someone very well informed).

So I guess I’m a little perplexed that the USS Memphis submarine managed to not only penetrate Russian waters undetected but actually destroy a Russian nuclear submarine?

What gives–was the Memphis piping in some sleepytime Elvis lullabyes? This makes no sense!!!

    TO TIBERIUS CAESAR:

A young man appeared in Galilee preaching with humble unction, a new law in the Name of the God that had sent Him. At first I was apprehensive that His design was to stir up the people against the Romans, but my fears were soon dispelled. Jesus of Nazareth spoke rather as a friend of the Romans than of the Jews. One day I observed in the midst of a group of people a young man who was leaning against a tree, calmly addressing the multitude. I was told it was Jesus. This I could easily have suspected so great was the difference between Him and those who were listening to Him. His golden colored hair and beard gave to his appearance a celestial aspect. He appeared to be about 30 years of age. Never have I seen a sweeter or more serene countenance. What a contrast between Him and His bearers with their black beards and tawny complexions! Unwilling to interrupt Him by my presence, I continued my walk but signified to my secretary to join the group and listen. Later, my secretary reported that never had he seen in the works of all the philosophers anything that compared to the teachings of Jesus. He told me that Jesus was neither seditious nor rebellious, so we extended to Him our protection. He was at liberty to act, to speak, to assemble and to address the people. This unlimited freedom provoked the Jews — not the poor but the rich and powerful.

Later, I wrote to Jesus requesting an interview with Him at the Praetorium. He came. When the Nazarene made His appearance I was having my morning walk and as I faced Him my feet seemed fastened with an iron hand to the marble pavement and I trembled in every limb as a guilty culprit, though he was calm. For some time I stood admiring this extraordinary Man. There was nothing in Him that was repelling, nor in His character, yet I felt awed in His presence. I told Him that there was a magnetic simplicity about Him and His personality that elevated Him far above the philosophers and teachers of His day.

Now, Noble Sovereign, these are the facts concerning Jesus of Nazareth and I have taken the time to write you in detail concerning these matters. I say that such a man who could convert water into wine, change death into life, disease into health; calm the stormy seas, is not guilty of any criminal offense and as others have said, we must agree — truly this is the Son of God.

    Your most obedient servant,
    Pontius Pilate

Not for nothing did Whites become the Christ Bearers of the World. As He said, if they hate you, remember they hated me first.

I’m not white, and I don’t want whites to go away completely. Whites are often beautiful and intelligent, and the world needs those qualities.

However, they are in decline, and the reasons are within white people themselves. They can’t leave well enough alone. They have to feed the world, they have to bomb the world. They have to control everything – most importantly, other white people. They have to argue about everything, all the time. They are egotistical and crave power.

Those qualities lead to advancement, but within them is also the seed of destruction. On a long enough timeline, whites will commit suicide.

Maybe on the other end might emerge a wiser white race.

    • thwack April 17, 2017 at 7:40 am #

However, they are in decline, and the reasons are within white people themselves.

      ***********************

      I hafta ask,

      are you a white person?

Because you have all these white people like Janos trying to blame nonwhite people for this so called “white genocide.” Its the most bizarre form of paranoid narcissism Ive ever seen?

And now you even have nonwhite people trying to get in on the hysteria. Here you have an Asian female discussing the phenomenon with two white males

      https://www.counter-currents.com/2017/04/roundtable-on-race-culture-white-genocide/

She makes some pretty good “normie” arguments; but her giant buckets of personal incredulity keep her seeking a rational explanation for racism from a racist; and so she doesn’t get it, and therefore looks and sounds like a retard.

Recently a bunch of females have pushed their way into the “alt-right” movement and made some pretty good gains for themselves. Im not surprised given the large volume of simps and WHITE knights in the movement…

But they are still being cucked by these pretty girls because women as a class are hardwired to always expand the number of males worshipping and wanting them, thats just nature. Bring in enough Syrian refuges and even the fat homely white girl with a face like an iodine bottle can claim she is hot…

      *vomit*

Actually, this video is kinda funny because for the first time in her life, “Poon yee” is finding out from a couple of white men that her feminine charms and high IQ won’t keep her from being deported.

      LOL

Someone needs to let her know that Greg Johnson is a faggot and counter-currents is a website for racist pederasts.

BTW, the black guy added nothing, he didn’t challenge anything and pretty much functioned as a pet monkey during the entire discussion.

It’s puzzling and unfortunate that this bears repetition:

“One thing that used to occupy the center was public discussion, debate, and argumentation. Now and again, it featured a coherent exchange of ideas. These days, the main political factions are sunk in hysteria of one kind or another. Their primitive promptings hardly add up to ideas but rather limbic spasms of fear and rage. And then there is the shadow partner of the two parties called the Deep State, led by the quaintly dubbed “Intelligence Community.” These birds, many of them lifers, are dedicated to making the public discussion of anything as incoherent as possible so as to prevent any change in policy that might curtail the growth of the Deep State, a sort of cancer of the body politic.” — JHK

It’s my contention (and one or two others) that these distractions and diversions in the comments are *deliberate* and even financed. Too bad, makes it appear that this is a stormfront satellite site, geared toward morons and belligerent psychotics. (And please, don’t insult us with that “free speech!” bullshit; the whole point is to splatter so much fecal matter that thoughtful speech/writing is lost or subsumed. This is nothing short of shameful and shows a blatant disrespect for our host’s ideas.)
