B en Bernanke’s memoir is out and the chatter about it inevitably turns to the sickening moments in September 2008 when “the world economy came very close to collapse.” Easy to say, but how many people know what that means? It’s every bit as opaque as the operations of the Federal Reserve itself.
There were many ugly facets to the problem but they all boiled down to global insolvency — too many promises to pay that could not be met. The promises, of course, were quite hollow. They accumulated over the decades-long process, largely self-organized and emergent, of the so-called global economy arranging itself. All the financial arrangements depended on trust and good faith, especially of the authorities who managed the world’s “reserve currency,” the US dollar.
By the fall of 2008, it was clear that these authorities, in particular the US Federal Reserve, had failed spectacularly in regulating the operations of capital markets. With events such as the collapse of Lehman and the rescue of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, it also became clear that much of the collateral ostensibly backing up the US banking system was worthless, especially instruments based on mortgages. Hence, the trust and good faith vested in the issuer of the world’s reserve currency was revealed as worthless.
The great triumph of Ben Bernanke was to engineer a fix that rendered trust and good faith irrelevant. That was largely accomplished, in concert with the executive branch of the government, by failing to prosecute banking crime, in particular the issuance of fraudulent securities built out of worthless mortgages. In effect, Mr. Bernanke (and Barack Obama’s Department of Justice), decided that the rule of law was no longer needed for the system to operate. In fact, the rule of law only hampered it.
Mr. Bernanke now says he “regrets” that nobody went to jail. That’s interesting. More to the point perhaps he might explain why the Federal Reserve and the Securities and Exchange Commission did not make any criminal referrals to the US Attorney General in such cases as, for instance, Goldman Sachs (and others) peddling bonds deliberately constructed to fail, on which they had placed bets favoring that very failure.
There were a great many such cases, explicated in full by people and organizations outside the regulating community. For instance, the Pro Publica news organization did enough investigative reporting on the racket of collateralized debt obligations to send many banking executives to jail. But the authorities turned a blind eye to it, and to the reporting of others, mostly on the web, since the legacy news media just didn’t want to press too hard.
In effect, the rule of law was replaced with a patch of official accounting fraud, starting with the April 2009 move by the Financial Accounting Standards Board involving their Rule 157, which had required banks to report the verifiable mark-to-market value of the collateral they held. It was essentially nullified, allowing the banks to value their collateral at whatever they felt like saying.
Accounting fraud remains at the heart of the fix instituted by Ben Bernanke and the ploy has been copied by authorities throughout the global financial system, including the central banks of China, Japan, and the European Community. That it seemed to work for the past seven years in propping up global finance has given too many people the dangerous conviction that reality is optional in economic relations. The recovery of equity markets from the disturbances of August has apparently convinced the market players that stocks are invincible. Complacency reigns at epic levels. Few are ready for what is coming.

Insane liberal and neo-conservative policies. If not for the endless wars in the Middle East carried out and sponsored by Reagan, Bush 1, Clinton, Bush 2, and Obama, most of those Muslims would be still living in their homelands. The US has sowed endless wars in those lands for forty years, and this is the harvest being reaped.
I can see the neocon culpability in these mass migrations. Not sure what “liberal” policies have to do with any of it. Unless you mean “neo-liberal,” which is pretty much right wing on the left-right spectrum.
Liberals are the witting or unwitting dupes, the bleeding hearts who actually let the invaders, whom you imagine to be refugees, in. The Neo Cons couldn’t run their scam if guys with automatic rifles told the brown masses to go back. But the guards have been told to stand down. And White armies are no longer for defending their own nations, but only for serving Neo Con schemes.

Looks like this could be the false alarm of someone pushing a hate agenda. The ‘gatewaypundit’ seems to be the only rag reporting on this news. Here an Copenhagen English language newspaper has nothing on it at all.

Seems all my searches lead back to the gatewaypundit and nowhere else.
No many places else anyway. What I found out was that a group of 500, protesting, celebrating, socializing or something, gathered Friday/ A video I watched showed no violence. Looked like an agitated group of men telling other people to behave themselves to me.
This is a side issue and I don’t want to add to a derailment of the the thread so early in the day. Also, I don’t know anything about this case and I am very sceptical about what gets reported on the internet, by any side.
However what our host calls ‘the legacy media’ are hardly objective. The recent sword attack by a young white racist which left two dead in a secondary school in a heavily immigrant settled area of Sweden was reported prominently. I heard a snatch of the radio news in my local shop the next morning and it sounded like their prime minister was describing it as the blackest day in their history. The news here, and probably everywhere else, led with the story.
In August it was reported that an Eritrean had randomly killed a middle-aged Swedish woman shopping in IKEA (a DIY store) and her son with a knife. It was also reported that he had just had his asylum request turned down. I happened to listen to a podcast of the Swedish news for that day and although I had heard about the attack I had forgotten since. There was no mention. The next day I listened through the podcast again and found out that I was wrong. It had been reported, in a very brief item that gave no details other than that two people had been knifed to death. The next day the radio news programme (Sveriges Radio’s P1 Morgon, if anyone understands Swedish and wants to check my account – I listen to it because I like learning languages) gave the story more attention, but didn’t at all (as I recall) mention the immigrant aspect, but rather the question of whether the killer had used a knife on sale in the shop and whether they shouldn’t sell knives in the future. (It has since turned out, or so I have read, that IKEA have stopped selling kitchen knives in their shops.)
How would you describe this agenda?
In both killings I wonder if drugs, whether prescribed or illegal, were involved because they often, if not usually, are.
I should have added that Morgon reported the item about an hour into the programme. I’d have only caught the first half hour or so. Relying on national broadcasters the rest of the world knew much more about it than Swedes did.
I wonder… If he had used furniture instead of a knife, would IKEA stop selling furniture?

The police station in the Muslim neighborhood of Rosengarden in Malmo was attacked so many times they were talking about hiring a private security firm to protect it. You can’t make this stuff up.
Native Swedes birth rate is way to low to maintain the tax base so they believe immigration will solve that problem.
Unfortunately most humans are still tribal and xenophobic so I don’t think their policy will succeed.
For example the Catalonians and Basque have lived in Spain since its existence and they have still not assimilated even though they are all Christians.Probably the majority of these two groups want independence. It may be Swedish hubris to think North African and Middle eastern Muslims can be successfully integrated into their society unless of course the natives become “Dhimmi” and allow sharia law and support mosques with tax money.

The economic benefits of mass immigration turn out to be an illusion while the costs are evident, and you seem to agree.
I am interested in the psychological reasons for such irrational behaviour. Political correctness has its origins in the US and is clearly a replacement rules for civilization, albeit with huge self contradictions and gross stupidity.
I don’t think anyone has given an answer for exactly how pc took over, but I am convinced that its stubborn refusal to budge in the face of all the evidence on a whole range of issues can be explained only by extravert behaviour. The evidence is all around, but is most striking in blogs, including this one.
Nobody else seems to have noticed this.

I searched and searched but could not find a credible news outlet reporting this item… not even a sanitized, oblique reference. The only places it appears are this unknown “gatewaynews,” brietbart and Pamela Geller’s Islamaphobe site. Not exactly ringing endorsements to factual reporting.

That’s no longer necessarily the case, at least in not all the casinos and then typically only in the “High Roller” areas. And no matter what, to keep them fresh, tip lavishly.

The alternative is to lend vast amounts of money into existence with no expectation that it will ever be repaid. This is what the IMF does when it lends Greece a few billion every time they nearly go into default. Only mugs actually believe that these are real loans. These loans will be written off in due course. The whole purpose is to get a country into debt and then force them to sell off their state-owned assets for a fraction of their value. The IMF and the World Bank ran out of third world countries to pull this stunt on so now they have to do this to the other countries in the EU. This is what they’re doing to Greece, Italy, Ireland and Portugal. The next big prize with all manner of state-owned assets is the Ukraine, a former communist realm that has vast extents of highly productive agricultural land (formerly held in common on collective farms) and some serious industrial capacity, a substantial proportion of which still hasn’t been sold off the Chinese and Western interests.

I myself wonder at the spectacle of it all. I try to talk to people about this and their eyes glaze over. They don’t want to think about it. They live for the here and now. “Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead”! What becomes of our way of life in the future is of no concern to them. Our future is hanging in the balance and no one seems to care! Well I guess I’ll head off to Bora Bora. “I’m leavin’ on a jet plane, don’t know when I’ll be back again’.” Must be nice.
I agree and have had the same experience. People just don’t want to comprehend what’s going on.
Before the economic crash, I read “The Trillion Dollar Meltdown” by Charles Morris (published in March 2008) that detailed the alphabet soup of financial derivatives that had been devised by the wizards of Wall Street to (supposedly) spread risk. Things like RMBS, CDO, etc.
The concept is really quite simple: take a bunch of “assets” like home mortgages of varying “quality”, throw them into a big pot and mix well, then serve them up as new dishes (called “tranches”) to patrons that either don’t know or don’t care to look at the contents, some of which are quite rotten. Then get some reviews (from the bond rating agencies like S&P) raving about how tasty the new soup was. The customers literally ate it up.
At the time, I could not imagine a trillion dollar meltdown. Now I can. I tried to interest family members and friends in the subject and even dared to predict that they would someday learn what an MBS and CDO was. Some actually did.
Today, I have the same experience with trying to interest friends and family in the concepts and dangers of global climate change. Mostly, they are bored and suddenly focus on an incoming text message. I tell them that there will be few climate change deniers in another five years. They will eventually become interested, but like the financial crash, it will be too late to do anything.
The only case of people caring about the future today is concern about climate change. I guess to acknowledge any of the other threats we face would require acknowledging inconvenient truths.

How much of this uncollapse/non-collapse is due to tptb simply not knowing what else to do? 2008 seems to have scared the minority of folks that comprehend the intricacies of our financial tangles, so they have allowed a shift into an abstract game with no reality but also no accountability. The U.S. has the “best thing going” (sadly) and the alternative is a medieval world with too many peasants. We know this can’t go on, but it does. Who amongst the multiple powers would stop the game? And as long as they play, the rest will follow.
I am 22,000 days old today and one realization is the future is really hard to predict. Back in 1981 when the Moody Blues came out with that song “22,000 Days” I did the math and was imagining what the future would look like when I reached 22,000 days. I have to say things are quite different than what I had imagined.

Charles De Gaulle famously said after the JFK assassination that Americans don’t want to know and therefore will never know. Therein lies the problem. Finding out your country is evil is like finding out your parents or your family or your church is evil. Contemplation of the aftermath…what to do, what to do? More and more of us are waking up to this fact, so I would suggest to people like Kunstler that is what we need to be doing. I’m not talking about planting a garden either. What will our government look like after the collapse of the America the Great myth? What will the world look like? You see the Catholic Church is a powerful enemy and knows that brutality spawns the need for revenge, and therefore the violence is perpetual. It foments perpetual violence. Just like when Rome collapsed and the Church ruled for a thousand years. Is that our immediate future?

Germany’s intelligence agencies expressed alarm over the influx of refugees and migrants who harbor radical Islamic views and hatred of Jews, according to a Sunday report in Welt am Sonntag.
According to a security document obtained by the paper and read by top-level agency personnel, “We are importing Islamic extremism, Arab anti-Semitism, national and ethnic conflicts of other peoples as well as a different societal and legal understanding.”
The newspaper wrote that security sources warn that “the integration of hundreds of thousands of illegal migrants Germany is no longer possible in light of the number and already existing parallel societies.”
The term “parallel societies” in Germany is frequently defined as insulated Muslim communities that have little or no contact with mainstream society.
The document, called “the non-paper” because it was not signed, stated: “German security agencies…will not be in the position to solve these imported security problems and thereby the arising reactions from Germany’s population.”
A senior level security official told the paper that, “The high influx of people from all parts of the world will lead to instability in our land.” The official added, “We are producing extremists through immigration. Mainstream civil society is radicalizing because the majority don’t want migration and they are being forced by the political elite.”
He predicts that many Germans “will turn away from the constitutional state.” The paper’s exclusive information came from the four major security agencies in Germany – the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, the Federal Intelligence Service, the Federal Police and Federal Criminal Police Office.
According to the paper, the agencies raised pressing security concerns about the wave of migrants entering Germany.
The dire warnings from the security agencies and officials appear to be the first governmental statement about Arab anti-Semitism. In early October, in a meeting with Chancellor Angela Merkel, the head of Germany’s Central Council of Jews in Germany, Josef Schuster, raised the community’s concern about Jew-hatred from immigrants and refugees from Muslim-majority countries.
He told Die Welt daily, that “among the people, who have sought refuge in Germany, many come from countries in which Israel is an enemy and are raised with this hostility toward Israel.”
He said the migrants “frequently carry over their resentments toward all Jews in general.”
Merkel assured Schuster for that reason, “We must take care of that.” She offered no specifics.

In defense of Obama record in finance
Before Obama, the International finances were controlled by two parties: “The Money Changers” (the contingent “rothschilds”), based in City of London and making their money on fluctuations of currencies exchange rates and “Pirates of the Caribbean” (contingent “morgans” and “rockefellers”) making their money on FED dollar emission.
The US National bureaucracy had pretty little say in the matters.
Obama changed that and now the International finance is a three-head Hydra with addition of Obama-created “Financial Control” (or “Fincontrol”) which is intelligent services in alliance with financial officials.
It means filtering and measured leaking of concealed information and more often – without the publication of its use, in order to blackmail.
So now the “Money Changers” in alliance with Obama’s Fincontrol prevail over the “Pirates of the Caribbean”, and entire FED emission operation is finally under control of American National bureaucracy.
The most important outcome of the election showdown in the US – is the formation and preservation of a balance between two powerful heads of Finance International in favor of the weaker, newer head that nevertheless has a blocking stake.
And since the very formation of Financial Control was due to preparation for the restart of the global financial system due to the exhaustion of the resource of the dollar pyramid, two senior heads of Finance International simply did not allow each other to seize full control of the levers of financial power at this critical period of the restart, preferring a compromise in favor of the youngest head.
It is quite possible that Obama will retain his newly acquired powers even after vacating the White House in 2017.
KNIFE to THROAT of GERMAN – RIOTS OVER MUSLIM “PRAYERS”
Police are investigating after an asylum seeker allegedly held a knife to the throat of a local resident in a violent dispute in southern Germany on Saturday night.
The incident occurred in the town of Prien am Chiemsee in southern Bavaria, near the border with Austria, according to chiemgau24.com.
An argument broke out near the town’s railway station between two rival groups around 11:30pm, involving both locals and migrants. During the confrontation a migrant pulled a knife and held it to the throat of one of the locals before another local stepped in and hit the migrant.
This past weekend there have also been reports of brawl at a migrant centre in Saxony involving some 100 asylum seekers. Police said around 40 Afghans and 50 to 60 people of other nationalities were involved, threatening one another with metal bars.
They added there was initially little they could do due to the language barrier, and it took a while to find someone who could explain what happened.
MDR says the fight started due to “religious conflicts” after scheduled prayer times overran, with Syrian migrants complaining about “loud” Afghan prayers.
An Afghan asylum seeker has now been identified as the main culprit and taking into custody after receiving medical treatment.
These incidents are the latest in a series of internecine fights among migrants in Germany. Earlier this month, three Afghans were seriously injured in a fight with a gang of Syrians after exchanging a series of insults in a German language class.
Last month, one man was killed in another fight at an asylum centre in Wolfsburg. Police were called to the scene after gunshots were heard, and found two men seriously injured. Both were taken to hospital where one later died. No weapons were found.
The chief of the German police union has admitted that the scale of migrant violence may be larger than the media is reporting because police are not reporting all incidents to avoid scaring the public.
“The public does not know everything,” he said.

The truly remarkable thing that happened between the collapse of Bear Stearns and the stock market bottom of March 2009, is that Bernanke and the rest of the Financial Establishment tacitly admitted that the entire system is, for lack of a better term, bullshit.
And, even stranger, rather than totally freak out about that, people acted as if they were very much reassured by the admission and got on with it as if it were all real, had always been real, and had now been saved to continue to be real into the future.
Once everything is abstract, when problems develop the rules can just be changed. Little kids do it all the time, when playing games and one kid loses by the existing rules and threatens to quit, or starts to cry. The other kids just change the rules so the game can continue.
That’s what Ben Bernanke did. The rules he had to change were the ones that made Fraud illegal. He didn’t exactly make Fraud illegal, but he sent out the message (as did the Bush and Obama Administrations; most plainly Assistant Attorney General Lanny Breuer under Obama) that the main sorts of fraud that all the major players had been committing for years would not be prosecuted.
When I first started managing people, somebody much wiser than I told me everyone only wants to know 3 things: Who’s in charge, what are the rules, and will the rules be enforced. Bernanke told the Financial world that he was in charge, he laid out the rules, and made it clear they would not be enforced.
I’ve heard it said that Bernanke and Obama Nationalized the banks, General Motors, Fannie and Freddie, etc. This is 180 degrees off. They actually privatized the US Treasury through the mechanism of the Federal Reserve. The distinction is very meaningful.
Bernanke’s great contribution to history is that if anyone had been wondering if our Financial system had become so abstracted as to be meaningless, if the rule of law applied only to those who can’t afford exemptions, and if the only real aspect of money is the work people have to physically do to get it; well, they learned they were correct in all respects.

The “little kids” analogy is spot-on. It’s a perfectly acceptable way to describe the mentality of people who: 1) believe there were no practical reasons for the rules to be there in the first place and 2) actually believe that that things can be ‘fixed’ by nullifying the rules through the magic of “self-canceling debt” and revising valuations on the basis of childish fantasy… Nice work.

How does it feel Mr. Kunstler, to be one of the very few that sees it, cares about it and would even like to see something done about it? I know that I am out of hope and tired of being the social pariah that I seem to be as no one, and I mean no one gives a damn or wants to hear it. Why can’t I have a pleasant discussion about what I watched on TV last night, or where I vacationed last or what a wonderful match your shirt is to your trousers? Not only are the mindless idiots in the country doomed but frankly, it is exactly the fate they deserve. I have grown so frustrated with the lack of caring that I am actually looking forward to watching us all burn.

I understand how you feel. It’s very hard where I live (and it’s supposed to be a “progressive” community) to find anyone who wants to have an intelligent conversation about what is going on. I guess the fact that we are standing on the edge of a precipice just hasn’t gotten most peoples’ attention yet. I find myself staying home more and more to avoid having to paste a smile on my face and participate in conversations that are of absolutely no interest to me. Just this past weekend, for the first time I raised some of the concerns I have, based in part on what I see here and on the Archdruid’s blog, with a neighbor. Still, we’re both well-educated, upper middle class suburbanites and have benefited from the “system” being the way it is – and expect to continue to reap those benefits. And so neither one of us is doing anything different, outwardly. But inwardly there is clearly an anxiety that our kids may be in for a dramatically different – and more difficult – existence.
I suspect, Helen, that there are a lot of people out there with that sort of gnawing feeling in their guts. But it’s not entirely clear as to what should be done on the individual level, and so we do nothing. For many of us whose lives have been one of relative comfort and privilege, it’s understandably hard to uproot all that over some gnawing fear that it’s all a house of cards and can’t be sustained forever. Might as well keep the party going until. . . well, until.
I find that most people firmly believe the financial collapse came about because “the government made the banks give money to poor people (black ones) to buy houses they couldn’t afford”. Never mind that the people you saw all over the media were middle class and up with some pretty extravagant houses they were going to lose, and that the mortgage meltdown was worldwide.

The sub prime crisis had its roots in government policies. Almost all financial meltdowns including The Great Depression had their origins in real estate bubble. Not excusing Wall St., but they simply provided the loans that were necessary to finance homes to people who couldn’t afford them in the first place. All of this government meddling goes back as far as FDR and the creation of Fannie Mae. The Community Reinvestment Act forced banks to make all of those crummy loans, and it was Wall St. who stupidly and greedily re-packaged them into derivatives. But why were they allowed by regulators to do that? Essentially, it all boils down to government meddling in markets. For decades politicians from both parties have screwed around with the real estate market calling it the “bedrock of the American dream”, etc. I’m not saying there shouldn’t be any government involvement in markets, only that they should focus their attention on things that have the potential to truly wreck the economy such as banks and Wall St. I blame Congress for not reining in all the excesses in the derivative market and for allowing banks to be to big to fail. Glass Steagal should never have been repealed, an Wall St. gamblers should gamble with their own money.
Government policies are supposed to create growth. Without growth there is no opportunity. This is hogwash. Sustainable. That should be the goal. Growth as an ideology arose primarily from the use of fossil fuels. The more you burned the more you had. But it also grew because the central banking paradigm required more and more money creation to stave off a deflationary spiral. This is the financial snake oil we’ve all been led to believe. We know what works. The gold standard. Real money. But the world wars and the depression took all our gold and now the bankers will never let it go unless they are over turned. Sustainable. Conservation. These words have to enter the discourse or we are doomed.

On my monitor there are NO boldfaced words…so, whatever YOU see as boldfaced is not boldfaced on my monitor. This tells me that maybe the browser being used accounts for the difference. I am using Internet Explorer.

Actually, Jim, I suspect they learned it from Japan, who have been doing it for decades and have a frightful deficit to show for it. My point is that I agree that one way to rescue the economy is to have one of scale, to do that you would need to locally source production and resources. The US has the resources, but the industry is gone. To bring it back you would need to compete with production in nations that do not have the wage, benefits, and environmental laws that we do. That’s where tariffs come in. The US can’t compete with indentured servants working in factories that dump effluents into the waters and clouds of toxins into the air. So we tax imports from places that do at a staggering rate. That ever happening in a world that bought into “free trade” as well as “401s” for everyone is another pipe dream in CFN.

The government (Federal, State, or Municipal) will have to take action to insure a living wage (at some level) for the workers. Currently, the Federal Government subsidizes the businesses who pay a paltry minimum wage with food stamps, housing, etc…

I think you actually believe what you said. You should consider, however, that in even the worst ghetto, there are many decent people trying to live and raise their kids under horrible conditions. Trapped economically, unable to afford to move. Many pay taxes and have to suffer the crime, narcotics, gangs, worthless schools, and the indignity of living daily in fear and loathing. They are victims…very difficult to throw them to the wolves….

Black cops are like any other…some good, some bad, some patient and understanding, some very, very violent. The problem with an all-minority force is that it is difficult to recruit that many officers (sometimes thousands on a department) from a minority demographic, and maintain standards. The department I was on was aggressively hiring minorities in the early 70’s…never could find enough to fill the slots. They lowered their standards, even hired tutors to teach some to read and write. Loosened the educational standards (only a GED required BEFORE the changes), overlook traffic offenses, etc. etc. Many applicants could not be accepted because of prior arrests, narcotic use, nor the ability to pass the most warm and fuzzy oral boards. Either you want standards or you don’t. I was calling for adequate law enforcement in the Ghetto, race notwithstanding.

Just imagine the cost of living for those 47% that Romney said never pay tax. What’s in their basket of goods? Imagine the cost of necessities like food and health insurance to those people. And never mind the cost of college.

I have just read Ed West’s The Diversity Delusion about immigration in Britain where the economic arguments are sunk. These arguments are made forcefully by economists like Philippe Legrain. I am no economist but I argued it with an open borders disciple of his on the Irish Economy blog (which I linked to here a few weeks ago) and he had nothing to offer but right-on cliché. (The events of the last 7 or 8 years show the value to the world of wider economic doctrine.) Not true, especially for someone with Russian cultural background. The idea of “global Bolshevik Revolution” was propagated by Trotsky in the early years of the Soviet Union. Very briefly check of the history of incidents with this aircraft gave the following result.
According to airfleets dot net, crashed aircraft was previously operated by Lebanese airline MEA and flew under the registration number F-OHMP.

Search for that aircraft incident in the accident database gives a description of the incident by 2001 at the Cairo airport.

The aircraft received a tail strike. Tail strike is a blow to the tail section of the aircraft on the runway. Apparently repairs took place after the incident. Repair in such cases is considered to be a complex and expensive operation.
There are at least two confirmed cases in which the wrong repair of such damage led to the subsequent destruction of the aircraft in the air:
Japan Airlines Flight 123 – August 12, 1985 (520 dead)
China Airlines Flight 611 – 2002 year (224 deaths)
On the aforementioned disasters, investigators have come to definitive conclusions that wrongly refurbished “tail strikes” was the cause of the accident.

The owner of the aircraft is an American-Irish company ILFC – a major player in the aviation leasing. Business of such companies functions as follows: buy a plane, and then lease it to various airlines.
Over the lifetime of one aircraft it has been leased to 5-6 companies. The plane was built in 1997, and the “tail strike” it received on 4th year of operation. Logically, to write off the beaten airplane after only 4 years of operation, no one will, but then the question arises how properly it was fixed up, as well as to know whether subsequent operators that fly the airplane were notified of the risks.
It seems that the standard aircraft leasing contracts are copied from the user agreements of US software companies: in these agreements is also written that the seller is not responsible for anything, nothing is guaranteed, and the user priori is blamed for all consequences of use of the product. Hopefully some day we will see rules of some international markets will be finally rewritten for the benefit of the final consumer, not corporate America.

Yes, but the dysfunctional whites are not harrassed daily for being white. Dysfunctional whites are armed and they are responsible for the majority of bombings and mass shootings in theatres, churches, shopping malls, schools, universities, post offices, etc.
Unlike whites, Blacks from both functional and dysfunctional families are on the receiving end of daily harrassment by police. It does not matter if you are a city councilman or a Harvard professor. If you are Black, you are automatically suspect and can be treated very badly, even if you are educated and you are unarmed.
There is no Black-white equivalence in our society, where white privilege runs rampant over Black humanity. If you are Black, unarmed, and non-threatening, you can still be arrested after being tased, body slammed to the ground, or shot with no questions asked.
