First mistake: Emmanuel Macron’s handlers played Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy” instead of the French national anthem at the winner’s election rally. Well, at least they didn’t play “Deutschland Über Alles.” The tensions in the Euroland situation remain: the 20 percent-plus youth unemployment, the papered-over insolvency of the European banks, and the implacable contraction of economic activity, especially at the southern rim of the EU.
The clash of civilizations brought on by the EU’s self-induced refugee glut still hangs over the continent like a hijab. That there was no Islamic terror violence around the election should not be reassuring. The interests of the jihadists probably lie in the continued squishiness of the status quo, with its sentimental multiculture fantasies — can’t we all just get along? — so En Marche was their best bet. LePen might have pushed back hard. Macron looks to bathe France’s Islamic antagonists in a nutrient-medium of Hollandaise lite.
The sclerosis of Europe is assured for now. But events are in charge, not elected officials so much, and Europe’s economic fate may be determined by forces far away and beyond its power to control, namely in China, where the phony-baloney banking system is likely to be the first to implode in a global daisy-chain of financial uncontrolled demolition. Much of that depends on the continuing stability of currencies.
The trouble is they are all pegged to fatally unrealistic expectations of economic expansion. Without it, the repayment of interest on monumental outstanding debt becomes an impossibility. And the game of issuing more new debt to pay the interest on the old debt completely falls apart. Once again, the dynamic relationship between real capital creation and the quandaries of the oil industry lurks behind these failures of economy. In a crisis of debt repayment, governments will not know what else to do except “print” more money, and this time they are liable to destroy faith in the value of “money” the world over.
I put “money” in quotation marks because the dollars, euros, yuan, and yen are only worth what people believe them to be, subject to measurement against increasingly fictional indexes of value, such as interest rates, stock and bond markets, government-issued employment and GDP stats, and other benchmarks so egregiously gamed by the issuing authorities that Ole Karl Marx’s hoary warning finally comes to pass and everything solid melts into air.
For the record, I’m not in favor of political chaos and economic anarchy, but that seems to be the only route that Deep Staters ‘round the world want to go down. The convenient protocols of finance in the industrial era which allowed routine borrowing from the future to get today’s enterprise up and running have lost their mojo. The short and practical theory of history applies to this: things happen because they seem like a good idea at the time.
Revolving credit seemed like a good idea through the 20th century, and it sure worked to build an economic matrix based on cheap energy, which is, alas, no more. What remains is the wishful pretense that the old familiar protocols can still work their magic. The disappointment will be epic, and the result next time may be political figures even worse than LePen and Trump. Consider, though, that what you take for the drumbeat of nationalism is actually just a stair-step down on a much-longer journey out of the globally financialized economy. Because the ultimate destination down this stairway is a form of local autarky that the current mandarins of the status quo can’t even imagine.
That journey has already begun, though neither the public nor its elected leaders, have begun to apprehend it. The first spark of recognition will come in the months ahead when the current cover story on markets, “money,” and growth falls away and political leaders can only stand by in wonder and nausea that the world has the impertinence to change without their permission.

In short, a life without work (or the search for work) has become a viable option for today’s prime-age male—and ever-greater numbers of them seem to be choosing this option.”

1) Employ them,
2) Maintain them through entitlements,

Such men are not mere useless eaters – they are capital; they are sheep and cattle proving wool and milk. But letting themselves be fed and groomed they provide countless jobs and justify the existence of state agencies.

The problem with exhortations of yours such as this one, Mr. Skorenzy, is that they contain such steely irrefutable logic that they enrage the sensibilities of all us spoonfeed lib-babies, confounding all we ‘know’ with hard facts and pointers.
I speak as a classical 1950s Cold-War liberal, Air Force brat and reformed libertarian. So I’m seeing it from all sides (the fatal weakness of liberals, admittedly).
I can’t go along with some of your fancies but certainly admire your indisputable erudition, practicality (yes, you are a practical commentator) not to mention how you stick to your guns.
I live with Muslims and have shared life and love with them for nearly 30 years. That does not alter my view that Islam is a deadly enemy to all the freedoms that we cherish in western civilization (I would plunk Xtianity in there as well – of the Desert Death Cults only reformed Judaism seems to have accommodated modernity).
I think you’re on the losing team and that’s a shame because you have much to offer. We’re going off a cliff (actually it’s more like going over Niagara in a barrel of laughs) and the varied Fundies are paddling hard as they can toward the chasm.

Believe it or not, I have some sympathy for your position. I’m like the Jewess Simone Weil – I can find beauty almost anywhere. She admired much in the Nazi Movement even though she knew how dangerous they were to much that she loved, including her own person.
For me, the Muslim call to prayer is one of the most beautiful things on Earth. And the Sufis are wonderful, but allied to something that is basically evil, namely Islam. It’s like meeting a beautiful, intelligent girl, falling in love with her. She then takes you to meet her family, who are loathsome, inbred scum. But she won’t hear anything bad about them. She loves them and will never leave. Thus if you marry her, you are essentially marrying them as well.
A few weeks ago, American Geek-in-chief Bill Gates grandly offered to give Bolivia, which he referred to as a poverty-stricken country, 100,000 chickens. Bolivia, it turns out, has a thriving economy, exports 36 million chickens a year, produces nearly 200 million. But thanks anyway, Great White Father.

If the pot bubbles over as you anticipate this summer the rich will get richer and the poor will bail them out. The new coming economic affliction will not bring any new understanding or a spark of recognition. It will be seen as another new opportunity for the public to service bad debt. Initially this new emergency which will never end will simply be seen as business as usual.

Either let the whole system crash and burn, which of course is never going to happen, or provide another bail out, very possibly with a “bail in” – essentially confiscation of savings and checking accounts – added on for good measure. Safe to say that that will finally get people’s attention at least. Add in the elimination of actual hard currency, and the theft and social control mechanisms will be complete.
It was fun to see how it got the depositors jumping up and down in Cyprus when they did their ‘test-run’ of confiscation (I recall it was 25% of all account balances).
Rude indeed it was to have to point out that holding a savings account does not at all signify ‘my money in your bank’ but rather that ‘I am an unsecured creditor to your murky organization’.
(Worth pointing out also that big-time Russky depositors magically managed to transfer their balances to the UK before the confiscation became public knowledge – nice to have friends on the inside).

Pucker – Where are the blue collar jobs for all these millions of men? Their fathers, often without high school diplomas, went to works in the mills and the mines and made a decent living. This avenue is now closed to them. Robots have taken over the factories that still remain in the USA. We shouldn’t blame the victim.
Not only did fathers have the opportunity to work. Fathers also would have thought anyone who considers work an optional activity bat-shit crazy but that was then and this is now.

I’ve been one of those Redmond ‘sole proprietors’ before. Never again will I kiss Redmond blue badge ass. Averaging out the Redmond contract work pay to include mandatory periods of unemployment required by WA State law average pay turned out to be pathetic over the long run. The last recession enabled Microsoft to trim about ten bucks an hour off contract rates and the unemployment stints between contracts were so long a professional engineer would have been better off having steady work flipping burgers.

You make it sound as if the loan has endangered the pensioners’ money. In fact the loan is secured by HCG’s mortgage portfolio, which is worth twice the value of the loan facility (at an interest rate of >20%). It’s a hell of the deal for the pensioners, in fact — if they can keep it.
The Health Ontario Pension Plan is effectively asset-stripping HCG ahead of what looks like inevitable bankruptcy. Since the move was spearheaded by two men who are members/chairmen of both boards, this looks a lot like fraudulent conveyance to benefit the pension plan at the expense of HCG’s legitimate creditors. In any case, the pensioners themselves will only have cause to complain if a court halts the asset-stripping and imposes a meaningful fine (i.e. one that not only undoes the fraudulent conveyance but makes them feel some additional financial pain as well). It would be nice to think that the individuals involved in the fraud would face jail time, but we’ll have to wait and see about that.
I am amazed banking has survived this long. People refuse to believe the truth about them. When I explain how money works they think I am crazy, that it could never be such a ridiculous system, but it is. Bankers create money out of thin air and loan it to sovereign nations, indenturing them permanently. The system is so nuts but hey we’re cookoo for Cocoa Puffs.

Back it the late 70’s, a customer I knew was a “Nationalist” in the mold of Janos Skorenzy. He would bring in literature from the then “alternative press” with issues we are all familiar with. He once told me…”You know, I wake up every morning and wonder why the banks are still open…”

I put it down to fear. Deep, deep fear of facing reality. They find shelter, comfort, confirmation in the herd. Of lemmings.
And it all degrades slowly right in front of all of their eyes, yet no one cares. No one can see it much less do anything about it now can they Jim? Drip, drip, drip. I have always been so damned frustrated by how this all has decayed so badly while not a peep of concern can be heard outside of the “lunatic fringe” of the anti-mainstreamers. Well I have figured it out and many of you here have as well.
I can only speak for my little corner of the world, but here in New Jersey’s wealthiest county (#3 in the nation) it is all coming apart slowly. Those with school age children awake at the ass-crack of dawn. They enter their SUV’s in the heated garage, and the doors close magically behind them so they never have to actually set foot in the real, outside world. Once they have shuttled little Johnny and Janie off to Pre-Care, Pre-School of real schools and they crawl down the interstate to their Corporate Masters. Afterward they crawl back home late in the afternoon to pick up and rush their spawn off to sports practices and events before rushing them back to their heated garages and bed. Weekends are sporting events and entertainment and feeble attempts to “relax” and maintain homes that they cannot afford to pay the mortgages on.
Our senior population spends most of it’s time in front of the television and eating meals. Meals and what they eat are very important events for the elderly here and since they are mostly too tired and or too infirmed to do any work anymore, entertainment is about all they can handle.
I do not know what those younger folks who do not have children spend their time at, but there are not many of them here that is for sure. They cannot afford it. Those whose children have grown and are off on their own (or living in the basement) spend most of their time working as many jobs as they can trying to pay off Johnny and Janie’s college debts because the jobs that they have, if any, are minimum wage and part time at best.
People just do not have the time to care, at least around here, and our Township is not doing all that well. Abandoned houses are slowly increasing, foreclosures are growing every week, and our tax base is under assault from Tax Appeals on McMansions that are now considered worthless and unsellable. And it all stays below the radar. It is all hidden from view to those SUV rat racers who cannot allow themselves to see the true light of day. I see this all from a frightening prospective being in the local government and having to deal with the financial issue of the entire Township. My calls take me all over this community and I am developing the picture that none but a few care and none will deal with problems until it is too late to do so.
I hope things are better off in many other places across this once Great Nation, because from where I see things, they are not only NOT GOOD, there is NO HOPE of correction.

These are the people, btw, who Al Gore thinks he’s going to force out of their vehicles and onto a bus. They can’t live their lives the way they live them without those juggernauts.
I’m glad you mentioned that it is the parents paying off the student loans. Nobody thinks about them. It was the mark of arrival into the middle class, you sent your kids to college.
I think that’s why the suicide rate is climbing so fast among middle aged men, that’s the only way they have left to discharge that debt, which remains even after the job is gone and the house is foreclosed.
I keep hearing that there is a shortage of housing for sale somewhere in the U.S., but in the small southern town that I live in there are for sale signs all over town and have been for for years. No one here is buying unless its at a fire sale price. My parents built a modest brick home on an acre lot in the mid sixties for about 12 grand. Said property is now appraised at 100+ for insurance purposes. We would be lucky to get half that price. When I was growing up it was a thriving community with several factories and downtown that supplied you with high quality merchandise such as clothing, appliances, hardware, etc., anything you needed. Now all of the stores are closed even after a grant to the city to refurbish some of the downtown buildings and adding new street lamps and sidewalks. They may be referring to new housing instead of existing stock but either way, the real estate market is dead. The two local new car dealerships seem to be thriving, which is something I just don’t get. My nephew is a mechanic at the Chevy dealer and he tells me they need to expand as the sales and service departments are swamped. Go figure.
I had a real estate saleswoman call me and ask if I knew of anyone wanting to sell their homes because there is a shortage of inventory. I could not believe what she was saying and when I questioned the fact that we have almost 30 vacant homes and about half the others in our Township up for sale, she told me, “NO, nobody wants them. They want small houses (like mine) with low tax liabilities that do not have to be fix up but just moved into” Well good luck with THAT sister, I bought mine in 1981 for exactly those reason and I’m not giving it up now that it is paying off.
As far as car service goes, far more people are scrimping to make car repairs because they cannot afford to buy new ones. Look at the non-existent new car sales and growing rates of repossession.
Quite so. There is no Civilization worthy of the name without simple living and high thinking on the part of many. Lewis Mumford spoke of this long ago, before the Hippies, and the Back to the Earth and Simplicity movements. Invariably his audience would ask, Is there no other way, desperate to keep toiling for toys. Mumford would answer, “No”.

Well, it won’t be on account of the elite’s lack of trying. The amount of printed money that the European and Japanese central banks have been pumping into the world financial markets has been jacked up to something like $250 billion a month since January, or one trillion dollars so far this year, which amounts to a yearly rate of $3 trillion dollars a year. It truly boggles the mind.
Regarding Le Pen’s big loss in France, perhaps the French populace is even dumber than the Americans. Criticize Trump all you want, but he was put into office by the anti-war, anti-neocon Right – who had turned against the “fake news” mainstream media. Trump has failed us, but what choice did we have other than to vote third party or stay home?
Every time I heard Le Pen’s name mentioned in the media it was always with the appellation “Far Right.” That is not remotely true. For the native French people she was a populist, certainly not a corporatist, as is Macron. She just did not want her country overrun by illegal migrants with their hands out. Perhaps leaving the womb of the EU and jumping into the abyss was just too frightening. And she wanted better relations with Russia. From all appearances, the world wide mainstream press convinced the French that Le Pen was a dangerous neo-n***. If the American people were so easily swayed, we would now be saying “Hail Hillary.”
Trump might turn out to be the high water mark for the anti-globalist effort, at least for the short term. I can’t help but think Le Pen was hindered by his decidedly schizophrenic performance in office so far.
I saw a network reporter label a group protesting in a German Street as “neo-nazis”. It was Matt Gutman of ABC.
If the protestors had even mentioned Nazism in public, they would have been immediately arrested, and Matt was lying on purpose.
They’ve just about convinced everyone that being a nationalist is the same as being a racist, as well.

I’m not persuaded yet that Trump has let us down completely. It’s early, and he has a big swamp to drain.
Yeah, we really have no choice but to wait him out. It looks like the deep state movement to remove him has now extracted their pound of flesh and are satisfied with letting him flail ineptly, so the real lesson to be learned with Trump might be that no matter who we elect, the deep state is prepared to do whatever it takes to co-opt them after the fact, which is what I and many others have suspected was the case all along. And of course we know the alternative was exponentially worse, so I guess Trump is still as good as it gets, for now at least.
The best choice was indeed made during the last “election”. You may be able to transplant the head of a Lion onto the body of a snake, but a snake it shall remain. In getting the head of Trump we avoided having the Snake’s head though in the end we still have a snake. Perhaps the inevitable was stalled a bit, perhaps not. At least we were not forced to accept blatant murder as the acceptable means to an end. At least not yet…
Well you can’t really have a Nation with different races. They will either be endlessly opposed to each other – or even worse, miscegenate. If it was Whites and East Asians marrying, something Ok might be the result since both are high. But if Blacks and Whites, the fruit will simply be more Blacks. This was Jefferson’s greatest fear and why he wanted them sent out of America, beyond all danger of mixture.
You’re confusing Nation with “country”. The latter is merely a political designation. An area ruled by a system or cabal. A Nation is an extended family, rooted in history, tradition and the Earth. If you are at all “organically” oriented, you must opt for the latter – and that means being for your own people first and foremost. Are you confusing that with being automatically against others? Believe it or not, what’s being bandied about in Academia is not the dictionary definition of racism. Academia is now run by people who are basically Marxist street scum.

Alex Jones said they were polling very close before the election, but the results are a seal clubbing. So I don’t know. I haven’t heard anyone else take this up yet. And the way things are going, we may never know.
I have heard that up to one third didn’t vote at all or entered a blank ballot in protest. Are they disgusted that she wasn’t the real thing – or is it something else entirely? No idea.
I too thought Trump was our last hope. What little hope I had is all but gone now. The only other choice was not to vote at all and risk the wicked witch being elected. With Macron’s election I think the French are screwed. As far as dumb and dumber goes, remember Trump lost the popular vote by a small margin. The only thing that kept Clinton out was the electoral college which I had always disagreed with. It may have saved our ass this go round.
cbeard – Looking to the future, it’s likely that the republicans can only win via the Electoral College. This past election, Trump won the other 49 states by 1.5 million but lost California by 4 mil (Cal still seems like a questionable number). Personally, I don’t want one state to be able to determine every election in favor of the democrats. OTOH that’s twice in the past 16 years that the popular winner has lost in the EC. What happens in 2020 if Trump pulls off the same thing again?

That exactly sums it up. When energy was cheap, a borrowed dollar was like kryptonite. That borrowed dollar could earn returns far in excess of the cost of carrying that loan, for those savvy enough to know where to put it to work. It turned out that the Sunday programs were marked with rather rude ridicule of Hillary Clinton’s explanation of her loss, according to which it was not Chubais that was to blame, but Putin’s Wikileaks and FBI director Comey. And this ridicule was joined by “simple democrats”, and this is already a very bad sign.
And Hillary herself in her congratulation to Macron found it necessary to joke about these jokers, and the joke turned out with tears in her eyes: she said that journalists are forbidden to tell the truth about the reasons for her loss.

The “Deep State” that everyone’s so fond of bandying about these days (probably by design, but that’s a subject for another post) has now been sufficiently watered down that it means almost whatever any particular user says it means. But in general, most people (and especially the MSM) use it as a mere shorthand for what is variously referred to as the enduring state, the bureaucratic state, the enduring bureaucratic state, the un-elected state, the permanent state, or what Harvard Professor Michael Glennon termed the “Trumanite network” in his 2014 article for Harvard National Security Journal, entitled National Security and Double Government. In other words, the un-elected, professional, mostly careerist, and thus “permanent,” departmental civil servants who endure beyond the mere elected comings and goings of the professional politicians who “rule” them.
But that’s just the barest tip of the iceberg poking above the water for the common people to see. The truth of the matter goes MUCH, MUCH DEEPER than that, as any professional civil servant you might know, no matter how lowly their rank, would readily tell you. And of course it goes MUCH, MUCH deeper than that as well.
Although Prof Glennon’s excellent article is itself another example of “just the tip of the iceberg,” its instructive at how far even official academic sources have come in cracking the nut that is “the US Deep State,” and perhaps even more ominously, at how little the Deep State even cares if it is “exposed” to the dumbed-down masses.

The second most significant event was the completion of the initial stage of the transfer, or rather, the intercept of power in the US by the Trump administration.
The departure of the director of the FBI Comey became a spectacular point.
Comey more or less fulfilled his job as a temporary guarantor of the behind-the-scenes agreement between Trump and Hillary about refusing to challenge the election results in exchange for refusing to prosecute the Servergate and other scandals such as the murder of Ambassador Stevens in Benghazi.
The director Comey, who was under high pressure from all sides, might have wanted to resign, but he could not do this until the final clarification of the relations in the higher establishment.
Now his departure means achieving a relatively stable balance of power after the exchange of figures on the chessboard and a number of compromises, primarily on the defense budget.
The sign of such a compromise with the losers was the appointment of Senator McCain’s wife a watchdog of the State Department.

DA, this Deep State that you describe in this post is a highly malleable mechanism. Because unlike mechanisms made of metal that hold their shape, this device is made of people.
High malleability can be great advantage because it makes the device adaptable. This is also its weakness. At some point the wheels come off.
Because the underlying purpose of this thing is survival, and because of its adaptability, it will show staying power. But it needs resources. But these resources get depleted as the economy, from which it siphoned tax money, gets moved off-shore. No matter how adaptable, this thing can only shrink as its blood-supply gets choked off.
The gangrenous part of the Roman Empire – based in Rome – fell off the stronger territory in the eastern Mediterranean ruled from Constantinople. That latter section went on for centuries longer. That shows the adaptability of such a mechanism.
I think that the US might follow a similar course. This center of power, this Deep State, once insatiable and ever expanding while it had the resources, will have to contract because it no longer has never ending convoys of goods and money. And so it will have to conduct amputations.
So what goes first? Overseas dependencies and protectorates will be cut off. Bye-bye Korea and Japan. And so long NATO. And then good-bye mainland peripheries.
In the case of the US, I think its mainland “peripheries” will be the states of the Old Confederacy that refuse to bend to dictates from Washington, as well as the US interior. What remains is a coastal shell. The center will no longer be able to impose its will on that immense territorial “hole”.
These abandoned areas might see it differently. They’ll see the center based in Washington as the gangrenous part that needed amputation. Abandonment? More like Liberation.
Keep in mind however, that the malignant core of “the deep state” (actually it’s MUCH deeper than that, as it’s now global and owes no allegiance to any one nation state, other than as a practical matter in the short term), controls the money supply world wide, so even though it can be expected that that money supply will shrink (by design) over time, perhaps catastrophically, the globalist oligarchy will be the last one’s holding, as well as (and more importantly) all the assets they bought up with it on the way down.
Is allegiance to money – a mere transactional token of exchange when you think about it – at its heart a delusion? Of course it is in the abstract. But in the real world we live in where everyone subscribes to that delusion and believes in its power, having or not having money has all too real consequences. By the same token, once that delusion is popped, the stampede for the exits will be truly awe inspiring.
I think what we’ll see (and are already seeing) is the US globalist corporate oligarchy and its deep state components morph into something even more virulent as conditions on the ground continue to change. Their marriage with US capitalism was always one of convenience to align with the admittedly optimal conditions for it’s malignant growth here in North America. But the difference this time is that the US and the Americas were literally the last virgin territory to be exploited on earth, so barring a nonsensical push into space (which will never happen), some sort of radical retrenchment must surely be in order this time around.
Although we’ve grown quite enamored of our many synthetic virtual realities these days, in the end humans are biological creatures with biological needs, and our sheer numbers have already grown to levels such that neither our virtual nor our actual physical realities can be sustained for much longer.

You think FBI Director Comey wanted to be fired, effective immediately, and learn about it on TV?
After the U.S. intelligence community suggested that Russian President Vladimir Putin drove an “influence campaign” to ensure Donald Trump’s win over Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential elections, the FBI testified that a counter-intelligence investigation is being conducted on the alleged Russian interference.
“The stated reasons for Comey’s dismissal are pretextual. They are so transparently, ludicrously pretextual that we should all feel at least a little bit insulted. The putative basis for Comey’s firing is a three page memo, dated May 9, faulting his public handling of the Hillary Clinton e-mail server investigation, and a recommendation from Attorney General Jeff Sessions, also dated May 9, that Comey be dismissed on that basis. The three-page memo levels a number of fundamentally valid criticisms. It is also, as perhaps three page memos must necessarily be, pretty conclusory: It renders a verdict without much more than a gesture in the direction of an argument, and preempts a pending Inspector General investigation that would have produced a lengthy and serious account and analysis of Comey’s actions. These are breaches both Trump and Sessions praised effusively at the time, with Sessions even declaring that Comey had an “absolute duty” to act as he did. All of them, of course, were well known long before Trump took office and chose to retain Comey.
The most charitable thing one can say about this narrative is that it is not even intended as a serious attempt to advance a genuine rationale. It is an attempt to be cute. Having been directed to concoct a reason to eliminate Comey, the Attorney General ran with a slapdash pastiche of Democrats’ complaints. I’ll admit that Trump has botched pretty much everything else since, but electing Queen HRC, who should have been in jail awaiting trial prior to the election, would have hardly made matters any better. Guillaume Faye is one of the most brilliant and provocative writers to emerge from the French New Right. He has written a great deal in his long and varied career, but Archeofuturism is his best-known and probably most important book. Written in 1998, only now has it been translated into English, thanks to the Arktos Media publishing group, which has made a number of New Right classics available to English-speakers.
Archeofuturism by Guillaume Faye
Archeofuturism is hard to place on an American political spectrum. It is openly race-realist — “The ethnic question today is taboo, and hence crucial” — but has a revolutionary fervor that we associate with the left. Dr. Faye is passionately attached to the people and culture of Europe but wants completely to overthrow the current civilization. “The only strategy is all-out war,” he writes. “Compromise must be abolished.”
Archeofuturism is Dr. Faye’s blueprint for the future age that will succeed the cataclysms we are foolishly bringing upon ourselves. Much of it is fanciful, but Dr. Faye’s guesses about the future are never dull, and are based in a far more realistic understanding of history and human nature than the babblings of conventional “futurologists.”
The importance of race
Dr. Faye takes it for granted that race is real. “I insist on the importance of biological kinship to define peoples, and particularly the family of European peoples,” he writes. “The inherited characteristics of a people shape its culture and outlook.” This is why he so opposes “the current demographic colonization of Europe by Afro-Asiatic peoples, which is prudishly called ‘immigration’.” He asserts that Third-Worlders have none of the notions of brotherhood or “multi-culturalism” that hypnotize whites; they come with the intent to dominate. “One land, one people: this is what human nature requires,” he writes, noting that only whites pretend otherwise.
For Dr. Faye, the notion of the West is disappearing, eventually to be replaced by a northern coalition of whites facing waves of invasion: “The twenty-first century will witness global ethnic warfare and the legions of immigrants in Europe will serve as the ‘fifth column’ of an aggressive South.” He points out that all non-whites think in terms of race, “unlike Parisian intellectuals,” and that our rulers are digging their own graves just as surely as they are digging ours: “We shall be submerged by more vital, more youthful and less well-meaning peoples with the complicity of a delinquent bourgeoisie that — whatever it may do — will itself be swept away by the tide it has so heedlessly caused.”
Dr. Faye has nothing but contempt for the present era. The central dogma of the age is egalitarianism, he writes, and it survives only because of a blind faith in miracles. The dogma’s failures are evident everywhere; just as individuals vary enormously in their talents and abilities, so do the races and nations. Forcible equality is tyranny.
Dr. Faye also denounces what he calls “pathological altruism,” or the perpetual propping up of failed people and failed societies. Our rulers ignore the dysgenic effects of welfare and — even worse — tax their own people to feed Third-Worlders who long to dispossess the North. “Pathological altruism” is partly explained by what Dr. Faye calls “pathological individualism.” Because our rulers think only about the individual — and not about nation or race — they promote dysgenic policies at home and raise armies of overseas enemies who will march against their own children.
“Pathological individualism” is also behind such modern distractions as homosexual marriage. The government should not recognize unions that are by definition barren and have no role in perpetuating society. As Napoleon explained, concubines take no notice of the law and the law takes no notice of them. Dr. Faye thinks homosexuality should likewise be a private matter, of no interest to the public or the state.
Homosexual marriage, however, is typical of the interests of Western governments because our rulers are incapable of grasping the questions that really matter. In Dr. Faye’s view, Western democracy is so cut off from reality, so amputated that he calls it “democtomy.” Only “pseudo dissent” is permitted, and Europeans prefer to ban political parties that actually challenge orthodoxy. In France, for example, the authorities call Jean-Marie Le Pen’s National Front “intolerant” because they want to ban it.
Dr. Faye argues that one of the goals of modern society is “to abolish thought in favor of spectacle” by promoting such things as professional sports. He can think of nothing more idiotic than paying money to watch people play games, and believes it is perverse to build up passionate attachments to outcomes that haven’t the slightest meaning or importance. Tennis champions or soccer players are nothing but performers, and their position in society should be no different from that of circus acrobats. Video games likewise clog the brain and prevent thought, which pleases our rulers because thought is dangerous. Dr. Faye also decries the disintegration of the family, the decline of education, and the replacement of culture with audio-visual pap.
Only radical, revolutionary acts, writes Dr. Faye, can destroy modernity. Unfortunately, Europeans are so domesticated they will never abolish egalitarianism and build a vigorous, self-conscious Europe. Instead, their infantilized world will be pulled down around them by “convergent catastrophes” that Dr. Faye predicted (writing in 1998) would strike between the years 2010 and 2020.
Disaster upon disaster
Among these, of course, are colonization by the South, which will lead to the collapse of multi-racial societies (which only whites have encouraged to take root in their midst). As Christianity continues to disintegrate in the face of Islam, Europe will face the prospect of “imperial theocratic totalitarianism.” At the same time, the West will be saddled with millions of old people with only a few young workers — or hostile Third-World immigrants — to support them.
The South is creating disasters of its own as non-whites try to mimic whites. Any Third-World attempt at democracy, for example, “leads to tragic consequences because of intellectual incompatibilities when it is forcefully imposed upon the cultures of the South.” Africans, for example, have lost their traditional societies and are incapable of replacing them with anything that is not squalid and cruel.
Dr. Faye laughs at anyone who thinks science will save us. He predicts plagues of drug-resistant diseases and, most catastrophically, exhaustion of the planet. The earth will run out of energy, he writes, adding that the notion that people would constantly get richer was a delusional spasm that lasted only 100 years. Dr. Faye roundly dismisses the fantasy of 7 billion people, all living like 20th-century Americans.
Cascading catastrophes will mean financial panic, global recession, plummeting world GNP, race war, and mass die offs. Europeans who survive will live by different principles: the principles of archeofuturism. Dr. Faye believes that what emerges from the rubble is the society Europeans would build deliberately if they were sane, but it will instead be forced on them by catastrophes of their own making. He hopes his book will guide the thinking of those who survive to lay the foundations.
Archaic, not conservative
After the crash, “most of humanity would revert to a pre-technological subsistence economy based on agriculture and the crafts.” An overexploited earth will permit no higher level of material existence. How will society be ordered? Dr. Faye rejects “conservatism,” or nostalgia for an older order: “We should avoid being backward-looking, concerned with restoration and reaction, for it is the last few centuries that have spawned the pox that is now devouring us.” Instead, he predicts the emergence of “archaic” values, that is to say, “answers that stretch back into the mists of time.”
People will live in hierarchical, inegalitarian communities that bind members to a common destiny. Atomized individualism will be impossible because there will be no government handouts, and people will depend on each other for survival. There will be distinct castes, in which the warrior caste will have great prestige. Duties will come before rights, infractions will be severely punished, sex roles will be clearly defined, and marriages will be unions of entire families rather than contracts between individuals. Dr. Faye conceives governance as something like that of the Germanic tribes, or Athens of the fourth century BC.
Unlike today’s system, which falsely promises that anyone can be “a scientist or a prince” — and which only causes envy and resentment — hierarchy will be ingrained but accepted. Free of “individualistic hubris,” even the humble will take pride in their limited contribution.
Dr. Faye insists that these societies will not be inferior to our own; just different. Dr. Faye imagines mystic initiations, rites of passage, and fervent forms of religion in what he calls “the new Middle Ages.” He sees most people as poorer but much more attached to their communities, and happier than people of today.
Not all people will live this way, however. Advanced technology will not have completely disappeared. A small elite will enjoy its benefits, and will live in material abundance. Just what the relations between the elite and the masses will be, Dr. Faye does not make clear, but he seems to think the elite will run things kindly through an aristocracy that renews itself through talent rather than heredity. The masses, in turn, will be satisfied with their lot, barely conscious of the gilded lives led by their betters.
The elites will, in fact, live in a world of “hyperscience” — the futurism of archeofuturism — unfettered by today’s “pseudo-ethical obstacles.” Nuclear power will proliferate, and Dr. Faye believes genetic science will unleash dramatic eugenic breakthroughs. He even imagines useful crossbreeds between humans and animals, and cloned organ banks. None of this will be available to the unscientific masses, so the gaps between the two worlds will grow ever larger.
A new world order
Dr. Faye’s prescriptions for Europe are part of his post-catastrophe scenario, but could conceivably come about without a world-wide crash. He predicts the establishment of Eurosiberia or the United States of Europe, which would be home to the “folk whose natural and historical territory — whose fortress, I would say — extends from Brest to the Bering Strait.” He believes that in the face of Islam and Third-World immigration, whites are uniting within their common homeland and around their common culture, just as the Greeks did when the Persians invaded. He does not expect Eurosiberia to be entirely exclusive, however: “We can accommodate guests, but not invaders.”
Like many thinkers on the European right, Dr. Faye thinks the nation state is finished. Europeans will have deeper attachments to regions, which will have great autonomy in matters of culture, education, and language. In the meantime, he urges support for the European Union. Dr. Faye recognizes that this is a risky strategy, given the stifling, aggressively egalitarian nature of EU institutions. He nevertheless thinks they will become the framework of his beloved Eurosiberia when the collapse shatters egalitarianism and the belief in miracles on which it depends.
Eurosiberia will be just one of perhaps four or five autarkic blocs that Dr. Faye predicts will emerge. All will be racially more or less homogeneous, with the possible exception of the North American Union. Dr. Faye seems to believe that if anyone can make a success of multi-racialism, it is the Americans, but he is not sanguine about that either. The blocs — all with a large pre-technological populations and small elites — will not have much contact with each other, and there will certainly be no foreign aid.
Always entertaining
Clearly, Dr. Faye does not hesitate to make bold predictions, and his speculations are always entertaining. Whether anything he predicts will actually happen is anyone’s guess, but he is unquestionably right about two things: the central role race will play and the impotence of today’s Western ideologies. Whether one accepts his conception of archaism or not, there is no doubt that Islam and the Third World have the spirit of conquest and absolutism that once characterized Christianity and the West. Muslims are famously willing to die for their faith, and non-whites are famously ready to riot for whatever they want. Whites are famously willing to make endless concessions in the name of “human rights” to people who have nothing but contempt for anyone else’s “human rights.” As the game is played today, it is an abysmally unequal contest.
Let us hope it will not take “convergent catastrophes” to jolt whites out of their suicidal softness, but if it does, let the catastrophes come soon. The longer that day is put off, the larger the Third-World “fifth column” will grow, and the more desperate will be the struggle for European survival.

I suppose such a thing could go on for a time, but the scientific advances of the 20th century (ESPECIALLY nuclear power) were all directly related to an abundance of cheap energy and the development of industrial processes and infrastructure that it enabled. Hard to imagine any of that continuing long into the future (100-200 years, or more likely far less) absent at least a truly catastrophic population crash on the order of 70-90% in the next 10-20 years or so to totally reset industrialism to semi-sustainable levels, and all that’s assuming facts not in evidence that global climate change can even be slowed down at this late date as well.
But I think he was pretty much spot on with the rest of it. I think most of the disasters he foresees here are either already being played out or are pretty much locked in now.

But to add, I think he’s probably right that some sort of aristocracy will emerge, although it’ll almost certainly be a whole lot less aristocratic (never mind despotic) than what we have currently, and that absent the rampant materialism we have today, most of the common people will grant them this privilege without complaint and mostly ignore them altogether.
In short, enough people in the west have now glimpsed at where modernity is taking them and have turned away in horror that transitioning back to a much slower, community-based lifestyle again is not likely to be the life threatening, existential challenge that many of us have imagined it will be. World made by hand, indeed!
Y’know, 21st-century people tend to think of the combination of science with Enlightenment values as a package – to have one, you must have the other, and vice versa. Fever dreams like this one make it clear, though, that it’s just not true. Barbaric motives never really go away; we either overcome them, or let them overcome us. Dr. Faye presents one vision of the latter.
And what a vision. I mean, he posits a society where most of the population are kept in such dim downtrodden ignorant helplessness that not only will they have no choice but to allow their… uh, he calls them “betters”… to create fucking human/animal hybrids from their genetic material, but are actually deluded into “taking pride in [this] limited contribution”. I mean, what the actual fuck?

Wyden said the hold will stay in place until the Treasury Department provides “any information that relates to financial connections between Russia and President Trump and his associates,” to the Senate Intelligence Committee and Senate Finance Committee. Wyden is on both committees.
